- 0:00So earlier this morning I had talked about the Nbas year long
- 0:07investigation into the Clippers for Sugar Ranger salary cap and
- 0:13obviously now aftermath of it all.
- 0:20But, and I actually apologize for this, I didn't focus on
- 0:26those specifically on the key card and all this.
- 0:32And that's quite one now. Trust me, I already got in the
- 0:39the organization part Steve Bomber, how his image, and
- 0:46rightfully so, has been tarnished.
- 0:50But let's not forget the guy in the middle of all this, and I'm
- 0:56about to explain that right now. So the Kawhi Leonard when I
- 1:07mentioned earlier that $700,000 fine that the rig imposed in as
- 1:15far as you know restitution, normally I don't agree with
- 1:24Steven Smith on many sports topics outside of, you know,
- 1:31other things that you playing. So if that's not sports related,
- 1:34I agree with him on those. But as far as you know what his
- 1:40thoughts have been about Kawhi Leonard since he was a Clipper,
- 1:44I mostly agree and I certainly agree with what he said.
- 1:49Just I'm so for who I thought did a great job in the
- 1:55investigation aspect of it. He let Kawhi get off way too
- 2:00easy. Now, mind you, we're not talking
- 2:04about the likes of Bond, James and Steph Curry, not of those
- 2:09kinds of count, but players. And look, even though Kawhi win,
- 2:13we know where he is as a player. He's also one of the more aloof
- 2:21players in sports history. I mean, we're talking about a
- 2:24guy that never really promotes the game of basketball, doesn't
- 2:29say anything to the media and essentially just keeps himself.
- 2:36But this right here from yesterday's room from the NBA,
- 2:40along with the Players Association, makes us all look
- 2:46at Kawhi Leonard largely different.
- 2:52So look, if you've known about the guy from his uncle and one
- 2:59time business partner Dennis Robinson, it's no secret that
- 3:04the ladder has had a shady way of doing things for a while.
- 3:11While it was with the San Antonio Spurs, the Raptors, and
- 3:17that with the Clippers, it always seems as if Robinson has
- 3:21only gender as far as what he wanted for Kawhi.
- 3:26Now I don't blame Kawhi to an extent for wanting nothing to do
- 3:31with his uncle as far as you know that.
- 3:35But that does not give Kawhi Leonard a pass for essentially
- 3:39knowing about. As far as what I meant.
- 3:44See what makes it so bad for Leonard to think of this for a
- 3:48moment. Over 40% of regular season games
- 3:53miss, 30% playoff games. Three playoff series wins, one
- 3:59conference finals appearance, several NBA Finals appearances.
- 4:07And if you really combine the salary from the Clippers along
- 4:13with the off court endorsements, the guy is right to vote nearly
- 4:18350 million from that in that organization.
- 4:26And unfortunately, you can't really say how once again, not
- 4:35only the Clippers got their own way of how they once again
- 4:39proven to be the most end up trying some professional sports,
- 4:45but it's what Leonard did throughout his seven years there
- 4:50that might be in a lot of ways completely unforgivable.
- 4:54Look, we all know about the trade from several years ago.
- 4:59You know, when the Clippers traded essentially a mansion to
- 5:03get Paul George. I already discussed how that has
- 5:08worked out for the Thunder. But now if you look at this.
- 5:18And I understand when Sean Swan said that look and Silver could
- 5:24have modified his original, you know, stance on Len as far as
- 5:34the punishment for him. But go back and look through
- 5:40Leonard's new agent, what he said yesterday, integrity and
- 5:46honor for the game is something that I put myself in high
- 5:50regard. But wait, it gets worse.
- 5:56So not only did he say that, he also said I take full
- 6:00responsibility for the last of judgment by the people in my
- 6:05inner circle and that I am looking forward to going back to
- 6:11Toronto and being given a clean slate.
- 6:15Now think about that for a moment.
- 6:18Integrity and respect for the game is something that I take
- 6:21pride in and that I take full responsibility for the lapses of
- 6:27judgment by those in my inner circle.
- 6:33Now notice he never named himself in all this.
- 6:41Now you can speculate whether or not he supposedly knew about all
- 6:45of this. And then you say nothing to
- 6:48leave or someone else in the circle that hey, maybe we should
- 6:52kind of tone it down. Whatever you may look at, it
- 6:59sounds to me like a guy that and I really don't want to use to
- 7:06swear but has the attitude in the thought process of a full
- 7:12blown narcissist and work. Earlier I had talked about how
- 7:19the clip is going to be set up to fail in the next decade
- 7:24because of their incompetence as an organization, but koalas
- 7:29shouldn't be able to escape them all.
- 7:32Matter of fact, I thought that the league shouldn't be told and
- 7:37avoided the move to the Raptors, which according to sharps will
- 7:43take place because I was said to Kawhi winner if I was making
- 7:49that ruling. Oh, you don't get to escape, you
- 7:53don't get to wash your hands and all this and not take
- 7:56accountability. So we're gonna avoid this trade
- 8:00that we Co signed? Which one?
- 8:05And you're gonna stay in LA for the foreseeable future because
- 8:13it's like in a way the league essentially saying that while we
- 8:20could have a hand in forwarding the trade, we really can't
- 8:25because of the prior investigation that we were doing
- 8:30involving Leonard, Steve Ballmer and the Shay off the court
- 8:35endorsement deal that now it came first.
- 8:39So the trade's going to happen. Although if I were making the
- 8:43ruling, I would have said Koi Leonard, you're not going to
- 8:46Toronto, you're staying in the club was ordinance.
- 8:56While there was absolutely no denying that Leonard is a great
- 9:01player when healthy, the problem is no other athlete in any
- 9:11professional sport would've gone away with white heat.
- 9:18Although you can say that, well, he's one of the great defensive
- 9:23players for his sailor. 2 championships, 2 finals, every
- 9:28piece, blah blah blah. Doesn't matter.
- 9:31The reality is Kawhi Leonard cemented himself as the biggest
- 9:39carnalist snake and you can essentially say thief in NBA
- 9:46history. And if you wanna say sports
- 9:49history, I'm willing to go along.
- 9:53Because what he was able to do in his seven years with the
- 9:57Clippers might not ever be matched, stemming from when he
- 10:01joined the muscle free agent in 2019 to what the Clippers gave
- 10:06up to keep him with the organization.
- 10:10For him, missing games, practices being carried hand and
- 10:15foot down. Oh, and not to mention the fact
- 10:20that he didn't deliver a championship and found ways to
- 10:25miss, you know, practices and games that had nothing to do
- 10:29with injury. Like I said, he might be the
- 10:36only athlete in any professional sport that could have gone away.
- 10:46But here's where, unfortunately, the Last stand Packer Kawhi
- 10:53Leonard probably will never be forgotten.
- 10:57And nor sure it makes you wonder, was the NBA2 lenient on
- 11:05him? Just supposed to what they were
- 11:08on the Clipper side. You can say that and I wouldn't
- 11:14argue it. But the problem that the sitters
- 11:21is what some people want to know.
- 11:24What was it that Kawhi knew but kept quiet about to essentially
- 11:30save us all skin? You see, while I understand that
- 11:39statement from this new agent yesterday, to me, there's still
- 11:47more that we don't really know. Because in a way, you can say he
- 11:52was essentially trying to cover his tracks to make himself look
- 11:56good. That's the bear.
- 12:00But think about from this perspective, whenever
- 12:04organizations talk contracts with a player and longer
- 12:09representative, the Hatch would been some under the table
- 12:14dialogue that happened that nobody knew about.
- 12:19In about 1 case, you would think that Dennis Robinson and his
- 12:27uncle slash former business partner would have been
- 12:32involved. But where I'm interested in this
- 12:36thing, let's say, you know, just throwing this out.
- 12:42What if Robinson came forward out of the blue one day, you
- 12:46know, to your Adam Silver or the whoever he said.
- 12:53I'm not going to suffer for this alone.
- 12:56My nephew Kawhi and who just happened to be my one time
- 13:01business partner. Or do I have something to tell
- 13:04you? What if that would actually
- 13:07happen? How do you think the NBA would
- 13:11react when they open a new investigation or Leonard solely?
- 13:16And if they, what ramifications would come out?
- 13:24It's hard to say, 'cause you know, as Sean Swan, you said
- 13:29nothing of that will suffice. But let's just do a scenario
- 13:34like that. I can pretty much guess how that
- 13:41would go in the end. Koala, you know, for his way for
- 13:46players he has, he's also the biggest con artist in sports
- 13:51history because not only did he at one point put the Clippers in
- 13:57a bad position when he joined them as free agent, but he's now
- 14:02leaving them in a even worse position because he's going to
- 14:07be in Toronto. Not to mention the fact he's
- 14:10going to get a contract extension from the Raptors.
- 14:14But I'm not going to go now. Yes, the Clippers have to own up
- 14:19to what they did, no doubt. But the crown jewel in all this
- 14:24is 1 he in A7 year time with that organization basically was
- 14:33a part of the two infamous happenings in that franchise.
- 14:41And that's what then that would be more instability and an
- 14:46uncertain future. So with regardless that he's a
- 14:50great player, he has a fish with someone himself as one of the
- 14:55biggest con artists and scammers in sports history.
