- 33:42Speaker 3: Mossin, it's my pleasure. I've heard so much about you guys,
- 33:47Speaker 3: you're You're amazing you. I know you, you are, You're
- 33:51Speaker 3: a legend.
- 33:52Speaker 4: No, sir, it's it's a it's a complete opposite here,
- 33:55Speaker 4: it's a it's a moment for us on the show.
- 33:58Speaker 3: To be speaking to you. And Big bought it there, No.
- 34:02Speaker 4: No, no, mostly listen you know, I I your your
- 34:06Speaker 4: story is so unique to me because I think that
- 34:08Speaker 4: you have made such grand waves in our space as
- 34:14Speaker 4: an actor. And you know that there's a detail about
- 34:17Speaker 4: you that people don't understand, is maybe don't even know,
- 34:20Speaker 4: is that you may not have even started off in
- 34:22Speaker 4: this space. You're you you started out as an assistant director,
- 34:25Speaker 4: not as an actor. Most people didn't know that about you.
- 34:28Speaker 4: And and here you are now in front of the
- 34:31Speaker 4: camera in a way that you know, life adjusted it
- 34:35Speaker 4: that way. What a story? And I and I can't
- 34:37Speaker 4: believe now that you're you know so many I don't
- 34:40Speaker 4: know how many hundreds of thousands of episodes you've done
- 34:43Speaker 4: in the years do that? But I mean, what a story?
- 34:46Speaker 4: And could you have imagined that.
- 34:49Speaker 3: The whole the whole plan was to be an electronic
- 34:52Speaker 3: engineer Borgan? I uh, God had different plans, I guess,
- 34:57Speaker 3: And these things just happened. Run off to the I
- 35:01Speaker 3: had to. Now I've just stopped making plans. Whatever plans
- 35:03Speaker 3: I make it it goes to a whole new thing
- 35:07Speaker 3: that comes up, and so now it just goes with
- 35:10Speaker 3: the flu. But the whole plan was actually to work
- 35:14Speaker 3: in IV, but that didn't happen. Now or not being
- 35:18Speaker 3: a great engineer, though, I'm bladded, Well.
- 35:21Speaker 4: We're glad it didn't happen because we got to see
- 35:24Speaker 4: you do something remarkable. One of the things I really
- 35:27Speaker 4: find amazing about you is, you know, you've done this
- 35:30Speaker 4: single show for well over fifteen hundred episodes, and I
- 35:34Speaker 4: believe that that takes a certain type of discipline and
- 35:38Speaker 4: I and you know, especially playing for one character for
- 35:40Speaker 4: as long as you have in such a repetitive way.
- 35:43Speaker 4: You know, there's a sense of self there that you
- 35:47Speaker 4: have to give to your character in this process. Tell
- 35:51Speaker 4: us about that, how much of this character has bled
- 35:55Speaker 4: into you and vice versa over so many episodes.
- 36:01Speaker 3: The show itself has still been running. It is the
- 36:04Speaker 3: longest running to in India. And they're doing a beautiful shop.
- 36:09Speaker 3: See that's one team. At the day I went I
- 36:12Speaker 3: remember going on set the birthday and there were two
- 36:15Speaker 3: different shows happening on the same set, and there was
- 36:17Speaker 3: not a single noise, And so I realized these people
- 36:21Speaker 3: who work like machines. So I realized what I can
- 36:23Speaker 3: do is just be like a single nut or a
- 36:25Speaker 3: bolt in that machine and just just work with them,
- 36:28Speaker 3: because like it was a big scheme of things. They
- 36:32Speaker 3: were doing so much. They'd already completed two thousand episodes
- 36:35Speaker 3: and won every single lot. So for me to be
- 36:38Speaker 3: that it was just an honor for me, like the
- 36:40Speaker 3: whole casting thing, and I had no idea back then.
- 36:43Speaker 3: I've never seen the show before. So I told her.
- 36:46Speaker 3: He asked me, like, if you've seen the show, I'm sorry,
- 36:49Speaker 3: I haven't. So he's like, okay, okay, no problem. We
- 36:54Speaker 3: get to each character as it goes, so as you
- 36:56Speaker 3: meet each character, because anyway, you meet each character as
- 36:59Speaker 3: the first person. So like ook at at Rooks, Oh, yes,
- 37:03Speaker 3: fifteen hundred episodes, Marshall eighteen hundred with the with the
- 37:08Speaker 3: starting So yeah, seven years. There was an exclusive with
- 37:13Speaker 3: Star Wars seven years. It was this beautiful seven years
- 37:17Speaker 3: and more a team. What dedication for those people. I
- 37:22Speaker 3: just I just loved every single day of work.
- 37:25Speaker 4: It was.
- 37:25Speaker 3: It was not working it, so sometimes it was we
- 37:29Speaker 3: just loved it. And also I go to travel, I
- 37:32Speaker 3: go travel. We short in Switzerland, Reese are everywhere.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you know, there's this this show generally speaking,
- 37:41Speaker 4: the Bridge that I do every morning here, it's really
- 37:44Speaker 4: heavily centered around music, and of course we voyage into
- 37:48Speaker 4: the culture of film and television and by virtue, there's
- 37:52Speaker 4: a connection here to our music side of this show
- 37:56Speaker 4: that a lot of people may or may not know.
- 37:59Speaker 4: And to me, that is the number of music videos
- 38:02Speaker 4: that you've done and your space within this kind of
- 38:06Speaker 4: world of bringing to life so many songs through music videos.
- 38:11Speaker 4: And my question to you is, how did you approach
- 38:13Speaker 4: music videos differently than some of the acting that you
- 38:16Speaker 4: took on the scenes that you played there give us
- 38:19Speaker 4: a sense of how you approach those differently.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Number One, so the songs. Whenever I get a song,
- 38:27Speaker 3: and make sure all my family and my friends they're
- 38:30Speaker 3: going to give me a word ago on sometimes when
- 38:32Speaker 3: I really love a song and they're like nah, And
- 38:34Speaker 3: sometimes that I do like it, they love it, And
- 38:36Speaker 3: those songs you work. Yeah, so I don't think I'm
- 38:39Speaker 3: that great song, but I have great friends that have
- 38:44Speaker 3: family who trust me about it. I approached them as
- 38:47Speaker 3: a short film. I see them as like the shorts
- 38:52Speaker 3: I'm doing, And this is a story I need to tell.
- 38:55Speaker 3: It could be a story of a heartbreak. It could
- 38:57Speaker 3: be a love story, it could be anyway off. I
- 39:00Speaker 3: could be the person breaking the heart. The girl could
- 39:02Speaker 3: be there. I kind of approached it like a movie
- 39:06Speaker 3: where I need to clear my part and be good
- 39:08Speaker 3: at it, and I try to give as much as
- 39:12Speaker 3: I can and that and that be here because I
- 39:14Speaker 3: know usually when we do music videos and stuff, if
- 39:17Speaker 3: we don't really have much time to shoot it, yeah,
- 39:20Speaker 3: just get two days because you try. Mostly it's in
- 39:23Speaker 3: rajasthan Lily. You be a big fun job. It's all
- 39:29Speaker 3: over in the actually. Uh So obviously they need time
- 39:33Speaker 3: because the sun is running out. You need to shoot
- 39:35Speaker 3: it all the time. So I'm there for the direct
- 39:38Speaker 3: I like, I'm right here. You can do whatever you want.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I'm not doing anywhere. Let's let's let's do this the
- 39:43Speaker 3: best way we can.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Oh wow. Mostly I find you to be very compelling
- 39:49Speaker 4: because not only are you an incredible actor, very uh
- 39:54Speaker 4: a very accomplished actor. You of course have an academic
- 39:58Speaker 4: background in engineering that we talked about here. You came
- 40:01Speaker 4: up in the world of working behind the camera and
- 40:04Speaker 4: then move in front of the camera. But you know,
- 40:07Speaker 4: there's a side of you that I really admire, which
- 40:09Speaker 4: is your entrepreneurship. And in a world where people take
- 40:12Speaker 4: the low hanging fruit of becoming an endoor sea of
- 40:16Speaker 4: a product, you went out there and created your own product,
- 40:19Speaker 4: your own luxury fragrance brand which is called the Laire Yes,
- 40:24Speaker 4: you know, yeah, which is a very unusual move for
- 40:27Speaker 4: an actor. It's not it's not something that's very typical.
- 40:30Speaker 4: You know, tell us, tell us you're thinking behind that move,
- 40:33Speaker 4: and tell us the sense of entrepreneurship that you you
- 40:37Speaker 4: you carry here and you know, and how much of
- 40:40Speaker 4: your background lend into what you're doing now and entrepreneur
- 40:42Speaker 4: in entertainment.
- 40:45Speaker 7: All right?
- 40:46Speaker 3: First, see the host and directed thing was I really
- 40:49Speaker 3: needed to get in somehow. I needed to understand filmmaking
- 40:52Speaker 3: and I loved it, but I didn't know how to
- 40:54Speaker 3: get in. So so being an eighty was with my way,
- 40:57Speaker 3: my tickets inside where I could meet actors to tell
- 41:00Speaker 3: them like, oh, this is a shot, this is this
- 41:02Speaker 3: so so that that gave me an entry, uh, television
- 41:06Speaker 3: happened later. And yes, the perfume thing. The perfume thing
- 41:10Speaker 3: was actually my brother's idea. It was not my idea,
- 41:13Speaker 3: but yes, it was during this one walk that we had.
- 41:16Speaker 3: This evening, we were walking and we're like, we need
- 41:19Speaker 3: to do something. Okay, we have people who who will
- 41:22Speaker 3: see us, who listen to us. We need to give
- 41:25Speaker 3: them something. We need to make something that they like.
- 41:28Speaker 3: And I remember like, right now, I'm talking very nice.
- 41:31Speaker 3: But then then we were so charged up and we
- 41:33Speaker 3: were like, we need to do something about this. You know,
- 41:36Speaker 3: we need to get out and we need to make
- 41:38Speaker 3: something that is ours, that that the world can have.
- 41:41Speaker 3: And and we we thought about a million things and
- 41:44Speaker 3: if we landed upon a perfume like now and that
- 41:47Speaker 3: is something we really actually best passionate about and it's
- 41:51Speaker 3: just And then we worked a year on it. The fragrance,
- 41:55Speaker 3: the bottles, everything, and the only one thing I kept
- 41:59Speaker 3: telling my brothers like, don't think about the profit the
- 42:01Speaker 3: first two years. Don't just forget about profits. Make sure
- 42:04Speaker 3: people like your stuff, make sure the bottles are cleaned
- 42:08Speaker 3: and night, they don't break everything. Everything has to be
- 42:11Speaker 3: perfect because because our names are going to be attached
- 42:14Speaker 3: to it. If something goes wrong, it will be on us.
- 42:16Speaker 3: So it's it's double the pressure that way, incredible the responsibility,
- 42:21Speaker 3: you know. Yeah, I'm so glad it's worked out so well, Marshall.
- 42:26Speaker 3: It's been amazingly, even the best new fragrance board. And
- 42:30Speaker 3: I'm so glad to God for everything.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Actually mostly that's awesome. I got a couple of questions
- 42:35Speaker 4: before we let you get back to your US vacation here.
- 42:38Speaker 4: So you know, in a world of your work that
- 42:42Speaker 4: you've done with Star Networks for man almost seven eight
- 42:46Speaker 4: years that you've been working with ins, Yeah, it's it's
- 42:49Speaker 4: quite a remarkable achievement of working with a network like
- 42:53Speaker 4: this in this kind of deep way, very committed way
- 42:55Speaker 4: in a world where you see, you know, this new
- 42:58Speaker 4: world of OTTs coming around. There's you know, different formats
- 43:03Speaker 4: that are coming along. You know, how do you see
- 43:05Speaker 4: this this this this genre moving forward of TV shows
- 43:12Speaker 4: in this new kind of OTT world? Does the storytelling
- 43:16Speaker 4: change from the format that you're in currently, which is
- 43:19Speaker 4: day to day television?
- 43:22Speaker 3: Story is always going to know, it's always going there's
- 43:25Speaker 3: always for everything. Actually, there's always going to be an
- 43:28Speaker 3: audience for television. There's always going to be an audience
- 43:30Speaker 3: for odd There's always going to be newer audience for
- 43:32Speaker 3: new cinema and that's always going to happen. Change is
- 43:36Speaker 3: it's always going to happen. But television is not going anyway.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Television is there, it was there then always will be
- 43:44Speaker 3: the audience for television in India and abroad. It's great
- 43:48Speaker 3: and like I've done one of dt I've done it again.
- 43:53Speaker 3: It was for hot Star. It was a show called
- 43:55Speaker 3: Milau and we are very proud of that and Marshall,
- 44:00Speaker 3: I just see it as a new change that has
- 44:02Speaker 3: come in and that's always going to happen. There's always
- 44:05Speaker 3: going to be a new change.
- 44:07Speaker 7: I see.
- 44:07Speaker 3: There's always going to be new. So it's it's just
- 44:09Speaker 3: more work for us, I guess, and like a lot
- 44:12Speaker 3: more collaborations between not just actors with writers, new directors
- 44:16Speaker 3: they'll be stepping in. It's just great for cinema totally.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Now now you see like a YouTuber, a guy from
- 44:24Speaker 3: YouTube who made obsession. Yeah so so yeah, you never
- 44:30Speaker 3: know who's going to come out from what part of
- 44:33Speaker 3: the media. I think it's a different way of telling
- 44:36Speaker 3: the story. But the audience is very intelligent the audience
- 44:39Speaker 3: is they know everything. If you've made something from your heart,
- 44:43Speaker 3: it could be a two minute, it could be thirty minutes,
- 44:45Speaker 3: it could go on for five years. If it's really
- 44:47Speaker 3: from your heart, the audience is going to connect to you.
- 44:50Speaker 4: That's incredible. You know, most sin when you look at
- 44:54Speaker 4: the space that you're in, I look at it as
- 44:57Speaker 4: a very demanding thing because it's a you know, it's
- 45:00Speaker 4: it's almost like a marathon that you're on, and it's
- 45:02Speaker 4: it does take that discipline. As I mentioned to you,
- 45:05Speaker 4: when speaking to young actors out there that are in
- 45:08Speaker 4: this space that are looking for that big breakthrough, what
- 45:13Speaker 4: kind of advice would you give somebody that's looking to
- 45:15Speaker 4: kind of adjust into this world. It seems like it's
- 45:19Speaker 4: fast moving, it's changing formats, it's changing mediums. If you
- 45:24Speaker 4: will mostly in given you know your your range of
- 45:28Speaker 4: accomplishments here, what words of wisdoms do you leave for
- 45:33Speaker 4: actors and other people in this space.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Sound I don't think of these so much, just I
- 45:40Speaker 3: see like one percent of anything at all of it.
- 45:44Speaker 3: But anyone who's starting new, who's doing the audition for
- 45:47Speaker 3: the first time, my advice would be to try and
- 45:52Speaker 3: try and assist someone, to try and to try and
- 45:55Speaker 3: be an assistant to somebody. I think that's that's the
- 45:58Speaker 3: best way to learn about it. You can obviously go
- 46:01Speaker 3: to acting schools, to direction schools, you can do. Those
- 46:04Speaker 3: are great, of course. I've been to acting schools, dance
- 46:08Speaker 3: school I've done all that. But at the same time,
- 46:10Speaker 3: try to possess people on set. You know, that's that's
- 46:13Speaker 3: where the real, the real thing is gonna come out.
- 46:18Speaker 3: You're really going to learn on the field. What are
- 46:20Speaker 3: you going to learn on the field. You might never
- 46:22Speaker 3: not learn on the class. So so yeah, that's that's
- 46:25Speaker 3: that's the advice. I'll give the same same thing to
- 46:27Speaker 3: my brother. To anyone who's not not just this scene,
- 46:30Speaker 3: to any field, you know, try try doing a smaller
- 46:33Speaker 3: work somewhere and see how it goes and see how
- 46:36Speaker 3: you liking it, to be honest.
- 46:39Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, incredible stuff. Most thank you so much for that.
- 46:43Speaker 4: That's great advice. Most In thanks so much for you know,
- 46:46Speaker 4: prying yourself away from the fun times here in the US. Uh,
- 46:50Speaker 4: we just could not pass up the opportunity to pull
- 46:53Speaker 4: you in onto the show, So thank you so much
- 46:55Speaker 4: for spending time with us today.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Uncle thank you so much. I hope, I hope this
- 47:00Speaker 3: was good. I'm really sorry.
- 47:02Speaker 4: I was amazing. I am sometimes amazing. Now you're a great, great, great,
- 47:07Speaker 4: thank you so much for joining us.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you so much.

- 50:07Speaker 4: to Most Him Khan for stopping by the show in
- 50:10Speaker 4: the middle of his vacation. Nonetheless, a great conversation there.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Incredibly humble and so accomplished and not easy to do.
- 50:21Speaker 4: What he is doing. Daytime television is a grind and
- 50:25Speaker 4: he really has mastered it, and it's full of discipline.
- 50:27Speaker 4: And if you get a chance to meet Most and
- 50:29Speaker 4: you'll get that personality from him that he's for that
- 50:32Speaker 4: he's he's ready for that role and thriving in it. Now,
- 50:35Speaker 4: let's bring in Doita Da Skupta to the show.
- 50:38Speaker 7: Was that?
- 50:39Speaker 21: Thanks Sammy, Hi everyone, this.
- 50:41Speaker 33: Is your Rukas Avenue Radio Music corispondent back with some
- 50:45Speaker 33: fun facts about your favorite artists. Did you know that
- 50:47Speaker 33: Vicial Mishra has been rejected from nearly all his additions.
- 50:51Speaker 33: He auditioned for Indian Idol multiple times and was finally
- 50:54Speaker 33: selected in season six. However, Official Mistra said that the
- 50:58Speaker 33: best thing that Indian Idol and others singing reality shows
- 51:01Speaker 33: did for him was to reject him, which made him
- 51:03Speaker 33: try even harder to be better and eventually granting him success.
- 51:07Speaker 33: It is like what people say, success doesn't teach you failure,
- 51:11Speaker 33: it does.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Well, that's all for me.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Now back to you, Sammy, Thank you so much, Dota
- 51:16Speaker 4: and as you guys know vish Mishra, we're big fans
- 51:19Speaker 4: of his work.
- 51:20Speaker 12: Here.
- 51:21Speaker 4: This song we've got for you is called mid YadA
- 51:26Speaker 4: by Mishra. And I'll be back with my closing remarks.
- 51:29Speaker 5: YadA YadA, my god, s O lady.

- 55:16Speaker 4: stopping by. And I'll tell you something I've watched happen
- 55:19Speaker 4: quietly while everybody else is looking at the headline. The
- 55:22Speaker 4: music industry has been building a parallel star system for
- 55:26Speaker 4: over the last decade, not through films, not through television,
- 55:30Speaker 4: but through music videos. Actors who started on TV picked
- 55:34Speaker 4: up music video work as a side and ended up
- 55:37Speaker 4: three minutes at a time, video after video becoming some
- 55:42Speaker 4: of the most watched faces on the Internet. Most In
- 55:45Speaker 4: Khan was one of them. Twenty two music videos Badisha Ashiku.
- 55:52Speaker 4: All these great songs combine those music videos have done
- 55:56Speaker 4: hundreds of millions of views. He's worked with Universal, Soda Gama,
- 56:00Speaker 4: Tips Ze Warner, almost every major label in India. And
- 56:05Speaker 4: then he takes jub Milatu and plays Maddie, a Maverick
- 56:10Speaker 4: superstar singer. The film industry will call that a transition.
- 56:15Speaker 4: I'll tell you what it actually is. It's a man
- 56:17Speaker 4: who's been training for that role inside the music video
- 56:20Speaker 4: format for ten years finally being asked to do it
- 56:24Speaker 4: in long form. That's not a transition. That's an arrival.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Today on this show, most In Khan sat down with me.
- 56:33Speaker 4: We didn't just talk about the show that made him famous.
- 56:36Speaker 4: We talked about the music life that made him ready.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Jub Milatu is on Hot Star. Watch it and then
- 56:43Speaker 4: go back to Bodish. You'll hear the same actor, just
- 56:47Speaker 4: in a shorter format. You know what I mean. I'll
- 56:52Speaker 4: see you guys tomorrow. Have a great day, everybody. I'm
- 56:54Speaker 4: gonna leave you this last song right here. It's by
- 56:57Speaker 4: Rami Hudha. The song is called have a Great Day Everybody.
