Let's start with the basics. If you want to buy a sweater, you say: Jag vill köpa en tröja. Luna: Jag vill köpa en tröja. That's 'I want to buy a sweater'. Lucas: Exactly. Let's say that once more: Jag vill köpa en tröja. Luna: Jag vill köpa en tröja. I think I've got it. Lucas: Good. Now, if you find something you like, you might want to try it on. So you ask: Får jag prova den? Luna: Får jag prova den? That means 'Can I try it on?' Lucas: Perfect. Try saying it slowly: Får jag prova den? Luna: Får jag prova den? Got it. Lucas: Now, imagine you try it on and it's too big. You can say: Den är för stor. Luna: Den är för stor. 'It's too big.' I can see myself using that a lot. Lucas: Me too. So then you'd ask: Har ni den i en mindre storlek? Luna: Har ni den i en mindre storlek? That's 'Do you have it in a smaller size?' Quite a mouthful. Lucas: It is, but you'll get it. Let's break it down: Har ni den... i en mindre storlek. Luna: Har ni den i en mindre storlek. I'll practice that. Lucas: And finally, if it fits and you want to buy it, you say: Jag tar den. Luna: Jag tar den. 'I'll take it.' Simple. Lucas: Exactly. Let's run through all five one more time. Repeat after me: Jag vill köpa en tröja. Luna: Jag vill köpa en tröja. Lucas: Får jag prova den? Luna: Får jag prova den? Lucas: Den är för stor. Luna: Den är för stor. Lucas: Har ni den i en mindre storlek? Luna: Har ni den i en mindre storlek? Lucas: Jag tar den. Luna: Jag tar den.
