- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border

- 1:14Speaker 5: Appreciate it man, glad to be here, man, glad to
- 1:16Speaker 5: be seen and not viewed.
- 1:19Speaker 4: So we you know, we talked about business.
- 1:20Speaker 3: And you know, a lot of times athletes are known
- 1:23Speaker 3: for what they do on the court or on the field,
- 1:26Speaker 3: but it's like you have a highlight reel, right, But
- 1:28Speaker 3: a lot of times, especially now, athlete taking more pride
- 1:30Speaker 3: in what they're doing off the field.
- 1:32Speaker 4: So I know that you know you've done a lot
- 1:34Speaker 4: off the field the business things of that nature.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Do you have a highlight in business that is your
- 1:38Speaker 3: like favorite business move that you've.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Made in life or just after you finished playing.
- 1:42Speaker 5: Investing in myself, investing in my education, self improvement. You
- 1:48Speaker 5: can never stop growing in terms of that. I'm always
- 1:53Speaker 5: reading books on finance. Favorite book right now, this one
- 1:57Speaker 5: that's recommended by one of it is The Intelligence Investor.
- 2:02Speaker 5: That is the bible for in terms of value investing
- 2:05Speaker 5: and compound interesting and so forth, and that self improvement.
- 2:11Speaker 5: That that's the best thing I can say.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I mean, you can always try to scope out and
- 2:15Speaker 6: try to find the.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Right business deals and with the right technology and all
- 2:20Speaker 5: of that, but you're really investing in yourself and investing
- 2:23Speaker 5: in people.
- 2:24Speaker 6: And that's that's the best advice I could say.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, while you were playing, what did you always have
- 2:29Speaker 2: that business out or was there somebody along the way
- 2:31Speaker 2: that was a mentor to you to say, you know what,
- 2:32Speaker 2: young guys, come let me show.
- 2:34Speaker 5: You what full My agent, Lamar Smith, served as a
- 2:36Speaker 5: mentor to me in terms of business, challenged me to
- 2:39Speaker 5: go get my master's business.
- 2:41Speaker 4: So I went to Kellogg to go with management.
- 2:43Speaker 5: In Northwestern started my own landscape Archetition a firem in
- 2:47Speaker 5: two thousand and four.
- 2:49Speaker 6: It still exists today, no longer in the business.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Now I do wealth management and Wesly that my four
- 2:55Speaker 5: years ago, my series seven sixty six fully licensed and
- 2:59Speaker 5: I know.
- 2:59Speaker 4: A guy who have George you know you know that grind.
- 3:05Speaker 6: It's uh, it's a business that I enjoy because.
- 3:07Speaker 4: I can help others. That's off. I didn't know you
- 3:09Speaker 4: was a financial advisor.
- 3:10Speaker 3: So that's interesting because now you have a unique perspective
- 3:13Speaker 3: from being a player.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Are you working with players? That's your goal?
- 3:16Speaker 5: Man?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Working with anybody? That's sense? I don't think it, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 4: for business side.
- 3:20Speaker 5: You just don't want to work jutification absolutely.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So we're on a golf course and networking is extremely important,
- 3:28Speaker 3: right the office.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why we know. It's a lot of people,
- 3:31Speaker 4: don't they like we pay? Do you play golf then.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Like we spoke to Santana, I don't even know how
- 3:36Speaker 3: to play, Like I'm just here. Yeah, So how important
- 3:39Speaker 3: is this networking in general? And especially like on the
- 3:41Speaker 3: golf courses we're at a golf tournament. Does is it
- 3:43Speaker 3: really exist?
- 3:44Speaker 4: Like is that real? As far as the golf course
- 3:46Speaker 4: that we're in.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I think your your your net worth pequals your network.
- 3:50Speaker 5: You know, it's who you know, It's who you're associating
- 3:53Speaker 5: yourself with on a daily basis. And ten times out
- 3:57Speaker 5: of ten, you know, the most wealthiest men are going.
- 3:59Speaker 6: To be a the golf course or you know, playing polo.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, that's.
- 4:09Speaker 4: So, that's that's what they do. So you want to
- 4:12Speaker 4: be in that environment.
- 4:13Speaker 6: You want to immerse yourself in that soak.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Up knowledge and learn and kind of be in that
- 4:19Speaker 5: that vein of prosperity when it comes to that. So
- 4:22Speaker 5: you know, we gott to fight to get in the room.
- 4:24Speaker 5: You want to be in the room where it happens, and.
- 4:27Speaker 2: This is where it happens. If Mark Allen said that
- 4:29Speaker 2: to us earlier. He said, this is the new locker room,
- 4:32Speaker 2: but it's.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Always has always been the lot.
- 4:34Speaker 6: We just didn't know it's the locker room or so.
- 4:38Speaker 3: One last question, since you're a financial advisor and obviously
- 4:40Speaker 3: a successful businessman, what advice can you give to somebody
- 4:43Speaker 3: that's just coming into money twenty one, nineteen years old,
- 4:46Speaker 3: a bunch of money for the first time in life.
- 4:47Speaker 4: It is difficult.
- 4:48Speaker 3: A lot of people don't understand how difficult it is. Like,
- 4:50Speaker 3: what advice could could you give a young man all
- 4:52Speaker 3: young women.
- 4:53Speaker 5: I will say, uh, begin your journey with the end
- 4:56Speaker 5: of mind and that being of this generational wealth that
- 5:00Speaker 5: your habits to that it's not going to You're not
- 5:02Speaker 5: going to live a rich lifestyle.
- 5:03Speaker 6: It's not going to blow your money on things that
- 5:07Speaker 6: aren't going to appreciate.
- 5:08Speaker 5: You want to view of the dollar differently, if you
- 5:10Speaker 5: want to think bottom line versus top line in terms
- 5:14Speaker 5: of setting your budget. You know, not in the gross,
- 5:16Speaker 5: but to the net after your taxes are there, and
- 5:20Speaker 5: you say based off of that, so you know you're
- 5:23Speaker 5: looking for deals, you're looking for the budget wise, you're
- 5:26Speaker 5: looking for value in terms of your investments, in which
- 5:31Speaker 5: is how you're spending your time. So that's what that's
- 5:34Speaker 5: what I will say. You know, the understanding tax laws.
- 5:37Speaker 5: There are products out there that we don't know about
- 5:41Speaker 5: their institutional products that we don't have privy too because
- 5:45Speaker 5: we don't know the right people.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Now it's you know the game, you know.
- 5:49Speaker 5: So that's that's the main reason why I'm in this
- 5:53Speaker 5: business too, is to give access a pipeline to those
- 5:56Speaker 5: that don't have exposure.
- 5:58Speaker 4: To that extremely point.
- 6:00Speaker 3: What I just I just not to hold you off,
- 6:02Speaker 3: but how did you have enough time to focus on
- 6:04Speaker 3: series seven?
- 6:05Speaker 4: And it takes a lot of study.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Like you you're running around all over the place, like
- 6:08Speaker 3: how did you have enough time to actually do that?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Like that's not easy to do while you're already you
- 6:13Speaker 3: already have money, so like I want more.
- 6:20Speaker 6: I mean, what's the what's the model?
- 6:22Speaker 5: If the business models recurring revenue build it asset in
- 6:25Speaker 5: the management up enough that's you can live a long
- 6:29Speaker 5: time off that that's a one percent a year and
- 6:32Speaker 5: it just continues to grow according to the market and
- 6:35Speaker 5: you know, you just do what's right for people.
- 6:36Speaker 4: So from a business.
- 6:37Speaker 6: Perspective, that's why. But I found the time.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Because I made the time. It was important for me
- 6:42Speaker 4: to do it.
- 6:42Speaker 5: You know, I waked up in the morning, study, go
- 6:44Speaker 5: do whatever do, come back at night to study.
- 6:46Speaker 6: It took me a year and a half to get
- 6:47Speaker 6: that to be fully licensed.
- 6:49Speaker 5: So it's just again it's the investment because it's the
- 6:52Speaker 5: work that you got in that you get out of it.
- 6:54Speaker 4: That's probably add George, you appreciate you brother head with
- 6:59Speaker 4: the le.
- 7:00Speaker 7: Themselves say coming from New York, this is this is
- 7:04Speaker 7: big fun. So first of all, well, thank you for
- 7:06Speaker 7: taking the time out to speaking as people you well,
- 7:08Speaker 7: so you and somebody that has thrived after you you
- 7:11Speaker 7: finished playing, you know, and a lot of athletes, some
- 7:14Speaker 7: athletes are similar to some athletes kind of struggle. What
- 7:17Speaker 7: is your advice as far as the athletes to make
- 7:19Speaker 7: a decision with their life after their career is over.
- 7:22Speaker 8: In as far as business is concerned, yeah, I think
- 7:24Speaker 8: you just have to plan it, uh before you retire,
- 7:27Speaker 8: you know, just uh kind of look at what you
- 7:30Speaker 8: want to get into. It's kind of like, uh, you know,
- 7:32Speaker 8: you have the passion for basketball, you have to find
- 7:35Speaker 8: out what's your passion for business, because some guys just
- 7:39Speaker 8: go into it, you know, thinking that you know it
- 7:41Speaker 8: was the right thing to do, and they don't.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Really have a passion for it. They're not gonna get
- 7:45Speaker 4: up in the morning and work hard, uh to make
- 7:47Speaker 4: it successful.
- 7:48Speaker 8: So I think, you know, to translate the same thing
- 7:50Speaker 8: like I said in basketball, you just have to find
- 7:53Speaker 8: your passion.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Yeah, what what area of business have you folks in
- 7:56Speaker 4: since you retarding?
- 7:57Speaker 8: Well, I work with the Knicks right now. You're in
- 7:59Speaker 8: up front office. So that's kind of what my primary
- 8:02Speaker 8: thing is. I get other ventures that come to me.
- 8:07Speaker 8: Right now, I'm involved with this board called Total Body
- 8:12Speaker 8: Board for Go. It's a fitness board athletes by the

- 8:22Speaker 2: business and everything just works like the checkout is fast,

- 9:55Speaker 2: and C Bank brilliantly boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly
- 10:00Speaker 2: boring since eighteen sixty five is a service mark of
- 10:03Speaker 2: the P and C Financial Service Group, Inc. P and
- 10:05Speaker 2: C Bank National Association member ATDIC.
- 10:10Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 10:14Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 10:18Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 10:22Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 10:26Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 10:30Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 10:34Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 10:38Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 10:42Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 10:45Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 10:49Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 10:53Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 10:57Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Do what's right to leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 11:06Speaker 1: order and families will be protected.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Sponsored by the United States. Are working at home and security.
- 11:10Speaker 8: I jumped up in Atlanta actually he jumped uh seven
- 11:14Speaker 8: feet ten inches in security. So he's a fitness trainer
- 11:16Speaker 8: and he just one day woke up where he had
- 11:19Speaker 8: a dream one night and about uh this particular.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Board and went out and and created a motel.
- 11:24Speaker 8: The next day he had a great uh training facility
- 11:26Speaker 8: down in sam Markets, Texas. So he called me and said,
- 11:29Speaker 8: I think I got something good, and uh it's just incredible.
- 11:32Speaker 8: We have professional teams using the right time college, this
- 11:35Speaker 8: high school. Uh, his kids friendly, uh the number one thing.
- 11:39Speaker 8: So what it is is it's all resistant training. And
- 11:43Speaker 8: that's what he used to uh get himself back to
- 11:45Speaker 8: elite uh uh athlete. Uh because of towards uh his
- 11:49Speaker 8: uh a moniscus excuse me, his uh acf who and
- 11:53Speaker 8: the doctors never gave him a chance to come back
- 11:54Speaker 8: and jump, and two years later he broke the uh
- 11:57Speaker 8: lempigraphs across of him.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So as far as your experience, what is what would
- 12:02Speaker 3: you say you have your best investment or your best
- 12:05Speaker 3: decision that you made as far as business or investing.
- 12:07Speaker 4: It's just keeping my money for me, Yeah, exactly exactly
- 12:15Speaker 4: like I said.
- 12:15Speaker 8: You know, you get so many things thrown at you
- 12:18Speaker 8: as an athlete you know, guys coming at you with
- 12:21Speaker 8: all these business opportunities and sow, Uh, the best advice
- 12:25Speaker 8: I can give them is make sure that you do
- 12:27Speaker 8: your homework before you invest, and really get somebody who
- 12:31Speaker 8: you trust that understands the business side of.
- 12:34Speaker 4: It, because you know, not that we're we're not smart enough, is.
- 12:38Speaker 8: Just that you don't have time to get involved because
- 12:40Speaker 8: as your playing career is going on, you know, you
- 12:43Speaker 8: tend to focus on that and not on the business itself.
- 12:45Speaker 8: So I try to, you know, give advice from athletes
- 12:49Speaker 8: to staying you know.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Keep your money, wait till you're completely done.
- 12:53Speaker 4: That way you can watch over what you're doing.
- 12:55Speaker 3: One last question, So we're on the golf course and
- 12:58Speaker 3: networking is extremely an How important is networking? And like
- 13:03Speaker 3: what's the best deal you've done on the gu have
- 13:05Speaker 3: you ever done it on the We always had you.
- 13:07Speaker 8: Yeah, where you're donna do deals on golf course, you
- 13:09Speaker 8: do relationships and the golf to us, and I think
- 13:12Speaker 8: that's the most important thing.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Uh, if you involved in a business.
- 13:16Speaker 8: Opportunity, Yeah, you get four four hours bus to really
- 13:21Speaker 8: culture and culture bate that business relationship and so uh,
- 13:27Speaker 8: you know, obviously it has been some deal side on
- 13:29Speaker 8: the black course, But to me, it's just about the
- 13:32Speaker 8: relationship and getting to know that person and making sure
- 13:35Speaker 8: that that person is trustworth.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Not one of the best dunks of wort you got,
- 13:40Speaker 3: we got something basketball question that in the moment.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Did you processed that in the moment? No, most things
- 13:47Speaker 4: just happened on the duncan then the spin after. Yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 8: You know, the beautiful thing about sports is that you
- 13:57Speaker 8: do have those moments to define, define.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Uh who you are, and that was one of those moments. Obviously,
- 14:05Speaker 4: Michael very special. He was playing against the boards. The
- 14:10Speaker 4: number one thing is that it was in the guard Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 4: I think it was in the top five.
- 14:14Speaker 8: It was, yeah, yeah, yeah, So if it was anywhere else,
- 14:18Speaker 8: it's just been another great pleasure. But because it was
- 14:20Speaker 8: an MSG against Chicago boards and Jordan got in the picture.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Yeah, well you know, many arguments we got about that
- 14:29Speaker 4: though he wasn't in the picture. It took me.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Ye admitted.
- 14:41Speaker 4: There, I ran into a lot of boards transit. I
- 14:47Speaker 4: appreciate you. You my pleasure with the legendary doctor j
- 14:53Speaker 4: almost as a pleasure.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Great shot to thank you probably so. Yeah, So we
- 14:58Speaker 3: just showed getting some some words of the fight for athletes.
- 15:01Speaker 3: It's just anybody. So what what would be your advice
- 15:04Speaker 3: for athletes that may just come into money for the
- 15:06Speaker 3: first time, large sums of money.
- 15:08Speaker 4: What are some management tips that you you might be
- 15:10Speaker 4: able to share.
- 15:12Speaker 9: Bro When I when I was very young, I ran
- 15:14Speaker 9: in the Muhammad I leave and we had eighteen people
- 15:17Speaker 9: with that's so he said, you know, don't carry as
- 15:21Speaker 9: many you go around. Ever as he was doing this, Uh,
- 15:26Speaker 9: he was, he was, he was doing it, and he
- 15:28Speaker 9: was at the height of ease glory, right, and and
- 15:32Speaker 9: it was good advice, you know. So I've never really
- 15:34Speaker 9: traveled with a big possible Uh, We've been kind of
- 15:37Speaker 9: conservative with Jurney, but uh had income and the biggest
- 15:43Speaker 9: piece of advice to.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Do to live off the income and I don't be
- 15:46Speaker 4: saving it so much.
- 15:47Speaker 9: We'll see some dollars, you know, put it away, consider
- 15:50Speaker 9: it your reserve, consider your savings.
- 15:53Speaker 10: And don't live off when you live off the income
- 15:55Speaker 10: that you drive based on your delt.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Woh yeah, yeah, this is such a full evently head
- 16:00Speaker 2: MA charity. And we had a golf course. A lot
- 16:03Speaker 2: of times business sills happen here on a golf course.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Is there is there is something you can say about
- 16:07Speaker 2: their points of networking in the least type of settings.
- 16:10Speaker 11: Well, absolutely, what's been saving race and my life? And
- 16:14Speaker 11: I start, I really stay regularly at age thirty five.
- 16:21Speaker 9: If I have to look back, I think I have
- 16:23Speaker 9: maybe wish that I started playing in my twenties and
- 16:26Speaker 9: I went out to a lot of events and uh,
- 16:29Speaker 9: you know, was.
- 16:30Speaker 10: There a verbal participants, a lot of active participant and
- 16:33Speaker 10: uh the networking the golfers at least fantastic. You know,
- 16:37Speaker 10: you know, it's not like you're going out and you're
- 16:39Speaker 10: competing and beating your body up and you have.
- 16:41Speaker 4: To train for it whatever.
- 16:43Speaker 9: You know, you just try to have a average game,
- 16:45Speaker 9: playing a lot of scrambles, and uh, when you're off
- 16:49Speaker 9: the golf course, and that's when you talk, you know,
