- 0:00Hi, I'm Jay Fallon, and thanks for listening to The Slippery
- 0:03Slope. So I'm I've got, OK, I'm
- 0:06laughing. Don't tell anyone, don't tell
- 0:08anyone. But I'll tell you a little story
- 0:10which just happened. I just did an episode of the
- 0:13Slippery Slope. Just, you know, I was sitting
- 0:16here in front of the camera bringing up this story that I
- 0:20wanted to talk about about the ABC and the Grace Time podcast
- 0:24issue and all this stuff. I finished the I finished the
- 0:27episode. I have my little spiel.
- 0:28I'm Jay Fallon. Thanks for listening to The
- 0:30Slippery Slope. And then I realised I hadn't hit
- 0:33record. Yeah, yeah.
- 0:37Awesome stuff. So, hey, don't tell anyone.
- 0:40This is the kind of mistake that I made.
- 0:42Crazy stuff. Hey.
- 0:43So look, I just want to talk about this.
- 0:45This the ABC Boss Big Call on time podcast Grace Time.
- 0:51Absolutely despicable. Grace Tame was signed on for a
- 0:54new ABC podcast before them before she made controversial
- 0:58Israel chance. The ABC managing director Hugh
- 1:01Marks has said the former Australian of the Year LED
- 1:05globalised the Intifada chance during Israeli President Isaac
- 1:09Herzog's visit to Australia earlier this year.
- 1:13The ABC announced earlier this month that Miss Tame would host
- 1:18a new four part series podcast. It's called Autistic AF.
- 1:24This is one thing I don't understand.
- 1:26Back in the day, I remember watching the ABC when I was a
- 1:29kid. You know, my nan always had the
- 1:32ABC on and he always was like, why watch the ABC?
- 1:36You know, it's such a boring channel.
- 1:38It just has news on. I did like watching in the
- 1:41afternoons. You'd watch Monkey Magic, you
- 1:44know, the Kung Fu show Monkey Magic or Doctor Who.
- 1:48You know, back when Doctor Who was actually a good show.
- 1:51So things like that, they had some good programmes on.
- 1:54But yeah, but the ABC was always this kind of straight down the
- 1:58line news broadcaster just stuck to the facts.
- 2:03They didn't want to, you know, they weren't pushing boundaries,
- 2:07pushing moral boundaries. They're just talking about
- 2:09facts. So you wouldn't see something
- 2:11like a headline or a show called Autistic AF because obviously AF
- 2:15stands for Autistic as F. Why would you do that?
- 2:20Why you just, you're a public, public funded broadcasting
- 2:25network. You don't need to have headlines
- 2:27like this. It's just why, Why anyway, this
- 2:32is the kind of, this is where this is the road the ABC has
- 2:35gone in. This is why you can't respect
- 2:37the ABC. This is part of the reason why I
- 2:40believe they should be defunded anyway.
- 2:43So they've got this programme, she's got this podcast delving
- 2:47into her experiences of being on an autistic woman with
- 2:50interviews with, let's say in brackets, experts and other
- 2:55women, because that's who we need to hear from so called
- 2:58experts anyway, Mr Marks told the ABC.
- 3:05Rash National Radio, Rational Rational National Radio,
- 3:09National Breakfast that he understood why people felt Miss
- 3:13Tame shouldn't have an ABC programme given the controversy.
- 3:17So if you understand it, why are you doing it?
- 3:20Because there's no consequences. There's never any consequences
- 3:23for these people. We get our money from the
- 3:25public. We just get a blank cheque, a
- 3:28billion dollars. So it's not a blank cheque, we
- 3:30get this billion dollars, it's handed to us.
- 3:32We don't really have to answer to anyone.
- 3:34We don't have to, you know, give any answer for anything that we
- 3:40do, any of the decisions that we make is nothing.
- 3:43No consequences. So I'm telling you, I'm telling
- 3:47you, Yep, this is what's happening and who cares?
- 3:50We do what we want to do because we get given the money and
- 3:53there's nothing you can do about it, he goes on to say.
- 3:56But I think if you look at the programme itself, it's a great
- 3:59podcast that she's done. If it's such a great podcast, go
- 4:04ahead and make it yourself is time without getting funded by
- 4:08the public, by the taxpayer. If it's such a great podcast, go
- 4:12ahead and do it that way. And then we'll see.
- 4:15Then we'll see because a lot of podcasts just fail.
- 4:18If it's such a great podcast, you know, take a gamble on
- 4:22yourself, take a risk on yourself, fund it yourself.
- 4:24We'll get someone to fund it for you, whatever.
- 4:26And see if people really do want to hear from you instead of
- 4:29getting all this funding from the ABC, from the taxpayer.
- 4:33So anyway, so go on and say she's done a great job, great
- 4:37topic, blah, blah, blah. I'm sure will be of real
- 4:40interest and real importance to many Australians who suffer from
- 4:43those conditions and particularly young Australians
- 4:45and young Australian women, Mr Marks said.
- 4:49So that's a picture of Grace Tame right there if you're
- 4:51listening to this anyway. So right wing media figure Arvi
- 4:56Yemeni, who is a Jewish Australian, he's asked ABC
- 5:02entertainer Charlie Pickering whether he felt Time's
- 5:05appointment was appropriate. Pickering has said.
- 5:09I do actually think it's problematic.
- 5:12That's my personal opinion as a Jewish Australian.
- 5:15There's a complete misunderstanding of a lot of the
- 5:18words that were said, a lot of the words that were said and
- 5:22what the true meaning of them are.
- 5:24A lot of people are using words and phrases that have meaning
- 5:27well beyond what they think they do.
- 5:29The Australian Institute, the Australian Institute of Chief
- 5:34political analyst. Amy, how do you pronounce her
- 5:38name? Remicus sure said I'm sorry,
- 5:40Amy, for butchering your name. Anyway, I said a tax on his time
- 5:45in the wake of Pickering's comments had been unhinged.
- 5:48In a blue sky post that tells you all about this Amy, She did
- 5:52it in a blue sky post, Precious moments.
- 5:56So yeah. Anyway.
- 5:58Which is so there's a picture of Pickering right there.
- 6:00So Charlie Pickering, the attacks against Grace Time have
- 6:02been disingenuous and unhinged, deliberately lacking context to
- 6:07cause fear and harm. Enough she said.
- 6:09Well, I would say that Time's Time's comments, they are
- 6:14disingenuous and unhinged and totally lacking in context and
- 6:19totally lacking in any facts. They are factually biassed
- 6:26because they don't rely on facts going on.
- 6:30The podcast was launched months after Miss Time lost speaking
- 6:34gigs around the nation and what she described as an ongoing
- 6:37national smear campaign. I don't think it's a national
- 6:39speak smear campaign. Time said.
- 6:42Some things which are factually just untrue.
- 6:46They were just downright lies, downright lies.
- 6:49And she's paying the consequences.
- 6:51But yet we always wanted, we have these people stand up and
- 6:53they always want to blame honour.
- 6:55They was going to blame everything else.
- 6:57And they don't look at well, what the person actually said
- 6:59was not true. People just really don't want to
- 7:02hear from liars. People don't want to hear
- 7:04genuinely generally people who just tell these absolute lies.
- 7:10And so that's why she got, that's why she lost all these
- 7:14speaking gigs. If she was speaking the truth,
- 7:17if she was telling some facts, she might lose a couple of gigs,
- 7:21but she'd find her somewhere else.
- 7:23But people can't associate with people who just say blatant
- 7:26lies. This is the big issue.
- 7:28But these kinds of people don't want to face those facts.
- 7:32So she's defended. She's gone on to defend her
- 7:35actions in an interview with ABC radio host Hamish McDonald,
- 7:40saying she was a human rights activist and advocated for the
- 7:45safety of all human beings, no more, matter their background.
- 7:48So we'll see in a second that this is just another lie.
- 7:51This is just some more propaganda because she, she's a
- 7:55human rights advocate and activist, but only some humans,
- 8:00not all humans. She's picks and chooses.
- 8:02So if you're Israeli, if you're a Jewish, Jewish person, and if
- 8:07you live in Israel, you, you know, you're an Israeli citizen.
- 8:11She doesn't advocate for your rights.
- 8:13OK. The women who were raped,
- 8:17murdered children, unborn children ripped out of the
- 8:21ripped out of the the bellies of Israeli women.
- 8:25She doesn't advocate for them. No, as we'll as we'll see in a
- 8:29second. So opposition communications
- 8:32spokesperson, spokeswoman Sarah Henderson said last week the AB
- 8:35CS decision was deeply offensive in a lengthy media release.
- 8:39So the ABC, the ABC's shock decision, this is what she's
- 8:44saying. Sarah Henderson's shock decision
- 8:46to employ as a podcast host Grace Time, who described
- 8:50corroborated reports of Hamas's. So these are corroborated
- 8:54reports that Hamas sexually assaulted, had sexual violence,
- 8:59committed sexual violence against Israeli women.
- 9:04It's been corroborated yet Grace Time described it as propaganda
- 9:11which has been debunked. And then she LED a pro Palestine
- 9:16Palestine rally chanting globalise the intifada is
- 9:20untenable. So these reports has been have
- 9:24been corroborated. There is video evidence, video
- 9:29evidence that was filmed by the Hamas people themselves when
- 9:35they were carrying out the attack on Israel.
- 9:38In what year was it now, 20, 23? I think when they were 22.
- 9:43I can't remember when it was now.
- 9:44So when they were carrying out this attack in October of that
- 9:49year, what had happened at the music festival and they killed
- 9:53over 1000 people, they raped women, committed extremely
- 10:00grotesque violence acts and they filmed it themselves.
- 10:04There is video evidence which has been corroborated.
- 10:09It's all been corroborated, authenticated.
- 10:12OK. And yet, Grace Time comes out
- 10:15and she believes this is just propaganda.
- 10:19So she. Yeah, yeah, she's a human
- 10:21rights, great human rights activist.
- 10:23If you're Hamas committing atrocities, she'll stand by you.
- 10:28If you're an Israeli woman who's been brutally attacked, unborn
- 10:33child murdered, just some propaganda according to Grace
- 10:37Time. So this is This is why people
- 10:42are so offended at the appointment of Grace Time and by
- 10:47the ABC funding her podcast. And like I said, you know, the
- 10:52ABC being funded by the public purse, by taxpayers.
- 10:55If you're Australian funded by us.
- 10:59Look, when it comes to people like Grace Time and people of
- 11:03her ilk, it doesn't bother me that they have, they have these
- 11:08opinions and they say these things.
- 11:09This is this is what happens in the world.
- 11:12People have different opinions. Some people seem to be able to
- 11:17chase down the facts and find out what really happened and
- 11:20understand the big picture and understand what's going on.
- 11:23And other people are weak minded individuals who don't seem to
- 11:32understand the bigger picture and don't seem to understand
- 11:36facts. They don't understand truth.
- 11:39They are just deluded and delusional.
- 11:42But this is you. You can't be scared of people
- 11:44speaking out, saying these things.
- 11:46The real issue I have with all these things is we have the ABC
- 11:51which is funded by the Australian public.
- 11:53Public they should not. If they're going to continue
- 11:56down this road of left wing, left leaning propaganda, they
- 12:02should be defunded. They should not be supporting
- 12:05someone like Grace Time. They should be having shows on
- 12:09which just talk about facts, just facts, OK, And not going
- 12:14down left, left wing propaganda shows.
- 12:16That should not be what the ABC is about.
- 12:19It should just be about the facts, news, facts.
- 12:23If you're going to have opinion pieces on there or you have to
- 12:25have from both sides opposing opinions.
- 12:31But this isn't what the ABC does.
- 12:33It time and time again just shows that they are, they are
- 12:39one eyed. It is left leaning propaganda,
- 12:43left wing propaganda and that's what they believe.
- 12:46They support anything that is anti anti Israel, anti Judeo
- 12:55Christian principles, then they're all in support of it.
- 12:59All in support of they are just all in.
- 13:02That's and if that's why you want to be well, then you don't
- 13:05get funding from the public. You get defunded and then you
- 13:10sink or swim. You know, if people really want
- 13:13to hear from you, well then people will watch.
- 13:15You'll get funding from other what other areas.
- 13:18But I think you will find very quickly that a great deal of the
- 13:24public in Australia don't support your vision for news and
- 13:30the way you present the way you present the news.
- 13:33They don't support your left leaning ideology.
- 13:38And what made this country great is that it was founded, it is
- 13:42founded on Judeo Christian principles.
- 13:45And yet the ABC constantly, consistently shows that they are
- 13:51anti Judeo Christian principles. They are anti family, they are
- 13:56anti anything Christian, anything moral, anything
- 14:03ethical, you know, anything which if it's all supporting the
- 14:10degradation of the family unit, the ABC is all in support of it.
- 14:16That's what they want, that's what they love.
- 14:18But if it's anything that would support a biblical viewpoint of
- 14:23view of of the family unit and of the way society should run,
- 14:29the ABC is against it. That's why they support someone
- 14:32like Grace Time. And like, like I said, I'm not
- 14:35against Grace Time, particularly having a podcast.
- 14:38Great, have a podcast, but don't get funded by the public purse.
- 14:42Go out and see if you can do it. And people really do want to
- 14:45hear your voice. Well, then people will listen.
- 14:49But get the funding from other places.
- 14:51You don't get the funding from taxpayers.
- 14:53But this is the problem that we have in Australia.
- 14:56We're realistically just a socialist nation at this point,
- 14:59completely socialist in my opinion.
- 15:02And you know, when you've got a government like our current
- 15:06Labour government, you see, obviously this is we brought
- 15:12this upon ourselves. Anyway, let me know what you
- 15:15think. What do you think about Grace
- 15:17Times Little podcast? More importantly, I believe,
- 15:20what do you think about the ABC and the funding situation?
- 15:24Again, I'll say that the ABC should be defunded.
- 15:28See if you can keep going it alone, doing it without public
- 15:31funding. Then we'll see.
- 15:33Then we'll see how things go for you.
- 15:35Then we'll see. Maybe things change from being
- 15:38this completely left leaning ideological monster that you
- 15:44are. Anyway, this is all just my
- 15:46opinion. I'm not funded by the ABC or
- 15:49anyone else. I'm defund.
- 15:50I'm defund. I'm funded by my own, my own
- 15:55monies. So please support me.
- 15:56Check out my music, JJ space, Fallon, FA Double LON on
- 16:03Spotify, Apple Music, J Felon Music.
- 16:07Yeah, YouTube. Check out my music on YouTube,
- 16:10Spotify, Apple, all that good stuff.
- 16:12Give me a couple of streams or something.
- 16:15That's the way. Anyway, I'll get my funding for
- 16:16this stuff, not from the ABC. Just saying this is all just my
- 16:22opinion and let me know what you think.
- 16:25I really do I check out I look at all your comments, all the
- 16:29comments that I can and very interesting.
- 16:32So thanks for listening to the slippery slope they.
