- 0:00- Seth Grossman, Liberty and Prosperity, talking about Richard
- 0:02- Summers and, many other things. Richard Summers died
- 0:06- in,
- 0:07- Tripoli on September fourth
- 0:09- of eighteen o four in America's first foreign
- 0:12- war,
- 0:14- against,
- 0:15- people who were doing the same thing to
- 0:17- Americans that, the Iranians and the,
- 0:20- Islamic terrorists have been doing for two hundred
- 0:23- years.
- 0:25- That, we celebrate how Richard Summers
- 0:28- made a sacrifice, him and the crew of
- 0:30- the intrepid
- 0:31- and him and the marines who went to
- 0:33- the shores of Tripoli.
- 0:35- What those Americans did,
- 0:37- in eighteen o four kept Americans
- 0:40- safe around the world for a hundred and
- 0:42- fifty years. And the only reason that we
- 0:44- have the terrorism and the, problems we have
- 0:47- today is that Americans stopped doing,
- 0:50- what Richard Sommer and those brave Americans did
- 0:53- in eighteen o four. So we have to
- 0:54- learn that lesson.
- 0:56- And to tell you the truth, if you
- 0:57- had a choice of remembering
- 0:59- two events,
- 1:01- Richard Summers,
- 1:03- and the intrepid of, September fourth of eighteen
- 1:06- o four
- 1:07- or having a ceremony to
- 1:10- remember,
- 1:11- 09/11/2001.
- 1:14- I would say you withdraw a lot more
- 1:17- useful lessons
- 1:18- from the from,
- 1:20- knowing about September 4
- 1:22- and Richard
- 1:23- Summers than about knowing that America was attacked,
- 1:27- on 09/11/2001,
- 1:29- but having no idea who it was who
- 1:31- attacked us,
- 1:32- why they attacked us, or what we have
- 1:34- to do to stop them attacking us again.
- 1:36- And all those questions are answered when you
- 1:39- understand the story of Richard Summers.
- 1:42- You know, I had never heard of Richard
- 1:43- Summers until you came along,
- 1:46- which I guess a lot of people are
- 1:48- are in the same boat.
- 1:51- Absolutely. But yet every American knew.
- 1:54- Every American school child, you know, who passed
- 1:57- the fourth or fifth grade knew about Richard
- 1:59- Summers
- 2:00- before
- 2:01- 1940.
- 2:02- And then suddenly, our education
- 2:04- changed,
- 2:05- the way we taught kids in public school.
- 2:07- And of course most people don't know anything
- 2:09- about Richard Summers. Most people don't know, anything
- 2:13- about half the people in my,
- 2:15- 1676
- 2:17- project history book. But yet every American knew
- 2:20- about them, you know, sixty, seventy years ago.
- 2:23- So that's why it's so important to know
- 2:25- the history.
- 2:26- Because,
- 2:27- you know, if you don't know the history,
- 2:29- I mean let's let's face it. Right now,
- 2:32- I guess governor Mikey Sherrill and and and
- 2:35- the legislature,
- 2:36- they're talking about the plan to have reparations,
- 2:40- that that make, people in New Jersey
- 2:43- pay reparations for slavery that existed,
- 2:47- you know, two hundred years ago or a
- 2:49- hundred and fifty years ago.
- 2:51- And, I'm trying to think how how many
- 2:53- years ago. Let's see from a 1860.
- 2:56- Yeah. So so basically a 100 and, you
- 2:59- know, sixty or seventy years ago,
- 3:02- to make Americans today pay reparations for slavery.
- 3:06- But it's it's even more outrageous when you
- 3:08- realized
- 3:09- that when America was founded, slavery was normal
- 3:12- throughout the world.
- 3:14- And, it was Americans, it was Christians. It
- 3:17- was the British
- 3:18- who ended slavery, ended something that had been
- 3:21- going on for, like, two thousand years.
- 3:23- And the center of the movement to end
- 3:25- slavery was right here in South Jersey.
- 3:28- So to make people in South Jersey,
- 3:31- you know, pay for something that we put
- 3:32- an end to, it's ludicrous. But, again, nobody
- 3:36- knows because they don't know the history. It's
- 3:38- not being taught in schools. They're being taught
- 3:39- a fake history.
- 3:41- And that's why my book I I hate
- 3:42- to keep plugging my book, sixteen seventy six
- 3:45- project, but that's why it's so important.
- 3:48- And, you're gonna talk about the, Richard Summers
- 3:51- event. Correct?
- 3:52- Well, not not today. I think we have
- 3:54- plenty of content to talk about.
- 3:56- I do wanna, talk about, you know, Donald
- 4:00- Trump, President Trump because you're correct
- 4:02- that if you've been watching MSNBC
- 4:05- or CNN or reading the Philadelphia Inquirer or
- 4:07- any of the Democrat media,
- 4:10- that's all they're talking about is,
- 4:13- you know, president Trump enriching himself from insider
- 4:15- trading.
- 4:16- And that's, you know, that's what they're focused
- 4:19- on. But if you have been looking at
- 4:21- the conservative
- 4:23- republican comments
- 4:25- on,
- 4:26- on on media such as on x, on
- 4:28- Facebook,
- 4:29- on YouTube, and that, the focus has been
- 4:32- on the fact that it was announced a
- 4:34- couple days ago that the total government debt
- 4:37- federal government debt in America is now $40,000,000,000,000.
- 4:42- That's 40,000
- 4:44- billion dollars.
- 4:46- And I talked about it, last week,
- 4:49- but this is a fundamental
- 4:51- disaster.
- 4:52- You simply cannot defend
- 4:54- America,
- 4:56- and free enterprise against communist, socialist, Muslims, or
- 4:59- anybody else when you screw up an economy
- 5:03- this bad.
- 5:04- And we also cannot deny
- 5:07- that of the $40,000,000,000,000
- 5:09- in debt,
- 5:10- 10,000,000,000,000 of it, that's one fourth of all
- 5:13- the debt America has,
- 5:15- came from the eight years
- 5:18- president Trump has been in office, and he
- 5:20- still has two more years to go.
- 5:23- And you can't blame the Democrats for this
- 5:25- because president Trump could have stopped it.
- 5:29- He had Elon Musk on board. Elon Musk
- 5:32- identified
- 5:34- each and every area
- 5:36- specifically,
- 5:37- where money was being either stolen
- 5:40- or wasted or spent on stuff the government
- 5:43- has no business,
- 5:44- spending money on.
- 5:46- And what did, Trump do? Trump started with
- 5:48- the swamp and got rid of Elon Musk.
- 5:52- So you can't blame the Democrats for that.
- 5:54- And really, you can't blame Congress for that
- 5:57- because just the mat you know, just look
- 5:59- at where this money is going,
- 6:01- for,
- 6:02- today.
- 6:04- The press of Atlantic City said the federal
- 6:06- funds are paying for a tennis court in
- 6:08- Atlantic City.
- 6:10- Federal funds, gave $5,000,000
- 6:13- to fix the boardwalk in Wildwood.
- 6:15- Federal funds paid
- 6:17- the Atlantic Avenue in,
- 6:19- Atlantic City and Atlantic Avenue in Margate Longford.
- 6:24- Federal funds paid for West Avenue in Ocean
- 6:26- City and federal funds fixed the Margate elephant.
- 6:29- Federal funds pump pump
- 6:31- stands on the beaches in Ocean City and
- 6:33- Strathmere.
- 6:35- And federal funds gave $10,000
- 6:37- to 52 lucky families in Atlantic City. It
- 6:40- goes on and on and on.
- 6:43- And you can't expect
- 6:45- congressman Jeff Andrew to say, no. I'm not
- 6:47- I'm not gonna, support this
- 6:49- because if he did, he'd be,
- 6:52- he'd he'd have about as much chance of
- 6:54- getting elected to something as me.
- 6:57- And and then if you look at all
- 6:58- this money that we're spending just in our
- 7:00- district,
- 7:01- remember that there are,
- 7:04- 435
- 7:05- members of congress, and each of them are
- 7:08- getting the same kind of stuff for their
- 7:10- district that we're getting.
- 7:11- So the only person who could possibly put
- 7:14- an end to this is the president.
- 7:17- And not only is the president not doing
- 7:19- anything about it, not talking about it,
- 7:22- but all the candidates he's endorsing.
- 7:25- Like, Byron Daniels
- 7:27- or or Byron Donald in Florida.
- 7:29- Like Lindsey Graham's sister in South Carolina.
- 7:33- Almost all of his endorsements are a part
- 7:35- of the same swamp
- 7:37- that is doing this.
- 7:39- And,
- 7:39- this is not going to end well. And
- 7:42- if we're, you know, I I guess I'm
- 7:44- thinking of what,
- 7:45- that Republican,
- 7:47- president Warren Harding said many years ago. He
- 7:50- said my enemies
- 7:51- my enemies, I could lick them any day
- 7:53- of the week.
- 7:54- But my friends, my blankety blank friends, they're
- 7:57- the ones who keep me walking the floors
- 7:59- at night. So that's what I think of
- 8:01- when I'm watching what's going on right now.
- 8:04- Yeah. It's a problem. That's for sure.
- 8:06- And and nobody
- 8:08- wants to deal with it at that which
- 8:10- I don't understand, you know.
- 8:12- Yeah. You you don't deal with it. And
- 8:14- again, just imagine that bar game where you're
- 8:16- you're playing that game, and I I think
- 8:18- they call it pick up sticks. I forget
- 8:20- where
- 8:21- everybody, you know, you take a stick and
- 8:23- you put it on the pile and then
- 8:24- someone else puts a stick on the pile.
- 8:26- And of course, the person who loses the
- 8:28- game and has to buy drinks for everybody
- 8:30- is that last person puts that last stick
- 8:33- on the pile and the whole pile falls
- 8:35- apart. So we don't know when it's gonna
- 8:37- happen or how it's gonna happen or what's
- 8:39- gonna trigger it, but you know that if
- 8:42- you spend
- 8:43- a trillion dollars a year more than you
- 8:45- take in,
- 8:47- at some point,
- 8:49- the money is gonna be worthless. You're gonna
- 8:51- wanna buy goods from other countries. They're not
- 8:53- gonna wanna sell it to you unless they
- 8:54- get real money or or gold.
- 8:57- And
- 8:58- you know everything is more expensive and then
- 9:00- when you try to you know buy real
- 9:03- estate, you try to buy stocks, you try
- 9:05- to buy gold. So that at least your
- 9:07- investment
- 9:08- won't be worth will will
- 9:10- just keep the same value.
- 9:12- You get taxed at capital gains tax. You
- 9:15- know, just for trying to, you know, tread
- 9:16- water and be where you are. And, you
- 9:18- know, this is not sustainable, but,
- 9:21- we'll we'll we'll talk about that on another
- 9:23- day.
- 9:24- I I I feel I have to go
- 9:26- back
- 9:27- to what we talked about,
- 9:29- last week,
- 9:31- about,
- 9:32- you know, moderate Muslims.
- 9:34- You,
- 9:35- you mentioned last week that we have a
- 9:37- conservative listener who who's a Muslim,
- 9:39- And he was upset because we never talked
- 9:42- about
- 9:43- the great majority of Muslims who are
- 9:47- moderate and peaceful and and follow the law.
- 9:50- And and how come we never talk about
- 9:52- them?
- 9:54- But but here's it it was in the
- 9:55- news today. What was the top of the
- 9:57- hour news story today?
- 9:59- You had, a woman,
- 10:01- 35 year old woman in New York,
- 10:04- and then suddenly she converts to Islam.
- 10:07- And what's the first thing she does?
- 10:10- She decides to to make a plan to
- 10:12- kill people.
- 10:13- Buys bomb making material and makes a plan
- 10:16- to,
- 10:17- dress herself up as a food service worker
- 10:19- and kill a whole lot of people at
- 10:20- the State House in Albany, New York.
- 10:24- And and I and and then we have
- 10:25- to ask, well, why is that happening? How
- 10:27- many Muslim moderate leaders
- 10:30- have you heard of in the last
- 10:32- couple days saying, oh, no. You know, we're
- 10:35- a peaceful religion. Why would anybody even think
- 10:38- that if you convert to be to become
- 10:40- a Muslim, you would do a horrible thing
- 10:42- like that? Have you heard any announcement from
- 10:44- any local, national, or,
- 10:46- any Muslim religious leader at all in the
- 10:49- last couple days. No. Did you? No. No.
- 10:51- Yeah.
- 10:52- And and and here's the other thing. You
- 10:54- know, I you you talk you asked me
- 10:56- to talk about last week, and I figured
- 10:57- I gave a a steep plus answer.
- 11:00- But I think here's a better, answer to
- 11:02- explain the problem with moderate Muslims.
- 11:05- The fact is that most people
- 11:07- don't think much about religion in their day
- 11:10- to day life.
- 11:11- You know, they treat people fairly. They try
- 11:14- to do the right thing.
- 11:16- People mostly, whether you're Jewish, whether you're Christian,
- 11:18- Hindu, Buddhist, or Muslim,
- 11:20- you turn to religion when things are not
- 11:22- going well.
- 11:23- Somebody dies. Somebody is sick.
- 11:26- You have loss. You have failure.
- 11:28- The world seems hopeless. You can't stand on
- 11:30- your
- 11:31- own. So you turn to religion.
- 11:33- And again, if you turn to, Judaism, you'll
- 11:36- be taught to, you know, follow the,
- 11:40- God's laws in the Bible and and ask
- 11:42- for God's forgiveness. Christians will turn to Jesus.
- 11:46- But if you're a down and out Muslim,
- 11:49- if especially if you're a young man,
- 11:51- your girlfriend dumped you, you lost your job,
- 11:54- you flunked out of school, your parents hate
- 11:56- you, you've made a total mess of your
- 11:58- life and you're only 20 years old. What
- 11:59- can you possibly do to
- 12:03- wipe away your mistakes and your sin
- 12:05- and redeem yourself and and have honor respect
- 12:08- and eternal life?
- 12:10- Well every single
- 12:13- Muslim,
- 12:14- Imam,
- 12:16- will tell a young person that there's only
- 12:18- in the Islamic religion, there's only one sure
- 12:21- way
- 12:22- to to get forgiven for your sins and
- 12:24- go to heaven. I mean, there are many
- 12:26- difficult ways,
- 12:28- but there's only one sure instant way and
- 12:30- that is to die
- 12:32- while engaged in Jihad which means killing non
- 12:35- believers.
- 12:37- And,
- 12:38- that this is not an extremist
- 12:40- belief.
- 12:41- You could talk to any moderate Muslim including
- 12:43- your friends who's probably listening right now.
- 12:46- They will will you go
- 12:48- publicly and say that that's not true?
- 12:51- That that you that the
- 12:53- you don't get instantly forgiven of sins for
- 12:55- killing non believers in the jihad?
- 12:58- And and how is it that you get,
- 13:00- permission to do a jihad?
- 13:02- Well, any Islamic state has the authority
- 13:05- to to issue what's called a fatwa, a
- 13:08- ruling saying that, I declared Jihad therefore any
- 13:11- person
- 13:12- who kills any non believer for any reason,
- 13:15- just has to pledge loyalty to the Islamic
- 13:17- State and you qualify
- 13:19- for this instant redemption.
- 13:21- And as long as you have that,
- 13:24- how can you live in a normal country
- 13:26- where,
- 13:27- you have people who could do this to
- 13:29- you and your family at any time? And
- 13:32- and that's the real problem.
- 13:34- Yeah. It is. It is.
- 13:36- And, you know, we don't hear
- 13:38- about,
- 13:39- as I said, the man who the young
- 13:41- man who called, we don't hear about that
- 13:43- kind of stuff. You know? We we just
- 13:45- we just hear about all the killings, you
- 13:47- know.
- 13:47- Right. And and if that young man who
- 13:50- privately talked to you about it, if he
- 13:52- would publicly say, I'm a moderate Muslim and
- 13:55- I denounce
- 13:56- any Muslim who who believes that, you are
- 13:59- instantly
- 14:00- non
- 14:02- believer, you know, for jihad.
- 14:05- And I and and I'd
- 14:07- say that none of these imams have the
- 14:09- authority
- 14:09- to declare jihad. If he would publicly say
- 14:11- that,
- 14:12- his life would not be very pleasant.
- 14:15- And, and that's an un and and that's,
- 14:17- you know, fear is such a big part
- 14:19- of that religion.
- 14:21- And and you cannot have a free open
- 14:23- society
- 14:25- where people are afraid.
- 14:27- And unfortunately, most of the world has been
- 14:29- like that most of the time, but America
- 14:32- and Western civilization have been different. We have
- 14:35- protected the individual.
- 14:36- We recognize,
- 14:38- you know, the self evident truth. We're all
- 14:40- entitled to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.
- 14:43- But most of the world has never had
- 14:45- that most of the time and that's why,
- 14:48- you know, America is worth defending. We are
- 14:50- the only civilization ever
- 14:52- that has made this normal.
- 14:54- And, if we don't watch out, it's it's
- 14:56- gonna be not very normal here. Here. Anyway,
- 14:59- the it's just a final thought,
- 15:02- about,
- 15:03- you know, which I I actually wanted to
- 15:05- become my main point but I'll just touch
- 15:07- on it. Thank you. Is,
- 15:09- look at all the time that we
- 15:11- waste you know, in political shows talking about
- 15:14- is,
- 15:15- a data center a good thing or a
- 15:17- bad thing?
- 15:18- You know, is the hotel in Ocean City
- 15:20- a good thing or a bad thing? Is
- 15:22- building 18 new townhouses in Egg Harbor Township
- 15:25- a good thing or a bad thing?
- 15:27- And, it used to be in America that,
- 15:30- you know, Americans never wasted time talking about
- 15:32- this stuff
- 15:33- because we understood
- 15:35- that when it comes to economics,
- 15:37- if somebody wants to buy land
- 15:39- and spend their money to build a data
- 15:41- center
- 15:42- and pay for the electricity and pay for
- 15:44- the water and not bother anybody else around
- 15:47- them, that would not be a political issue.
- 15:50- It would be a business issue. And if
- 15:52- they succeeded, we'd all benefit.
- 15:54- And if it failed, you know, only the
- 15:56- people who invest their money would fail. That
- 15:58- was free enterprise. Same thing with the hotel
- 16:01- in Ocean City. The same thing with the
- 16:03- houses in Egg Harbor Township.
- 16:05- When people say, oh, we can't build new
- 16:07- houses in Egg Harbor Township
- 16:09- because,
- 16:10- they may have kids and those kids will
- 16:12- go to school and and that'll raise our
- 16:14- taxes.
- 16:15- Well, that's not, a housing problem. That's because
- 16:18- our schools are costing too much money. So
- 16:20- talk about how we could cut the cost
- 16:21- of public schools.
- 16:23- And because if you say we're not gonna
- 16:24- allow anyone to build houses or new houses,
- 16:27- now we have a whole generation of young
- 16:28- people who can't afford to buy houses and
- 16:31- they're living with mom and dad, and that's
- 16:32- causing a whole bunch of problems. No one's
- 16:34- getting married. No one's having kids. But anyway,
- 16:37- this is the type of stuff that Liberty
- 16:39- and Prosperity talks about in person,
- 16:41- every Saturday morning at Sal's Coal Fired Pizza,
- 16:44- 09:30 to 10:30. And if you're hearing this
- 16:46- program on a Saturday, I'm on my way
- 16:49- there right now. Okay. Have a good weekend.
- 16:52- You you're allowed to be late. Seth Grossman,
- 16:54- Liberty and Prosperity.
- 16:55- The website, libertyandprosperity.com.
- 16:58- Check it out. A lot of good stuff
- 16:59- on that.
