SPEAKER_02: I know we've been a lot of places uh a lot already this morning, and I have to read this one text.
• 0:05
  SPEAKER_02: This is great.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_02: Uh this was uh let me see who who did this come from.
• 0:09
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, it okay.
• 0:10
  SPEAKER_02: This is from 3504.
• 0:12
SPEAKER_02: They say they have Patrick's video uh of that song saved on their phone.
• 0:16
SPEAKER_02: So let me explain what that is.
• 0:17
SPEAKER_02: One of the things that we had talked about amongst the million directions, this thing's already been this morning.
• 0:22
SPEAKER_02: We had talked about how we both have people in our lives that have not watched the last season of Shits Creek, which is so weird.
• 0:28
SPEAKER_02: This stems off Allie's new show that she is being recommended to watch, and now we're getting text from people saying it's excellent, you will totally be into this.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_02: Uh it was it's called I Will Find You, Netflix.
• 0:41
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_02: So, but we we and I both are on we're both the same on something.
• 0:46
SPEAKER_02: I need to take something to completion.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_02: Even if it's even if I know this is it, I'm not gonna have any more of the creek.
• 0:53
SPEAKER_00: Even if I hate it, like I'm not one of those people that would walk out of a movie in a movie theater.
• 0:57
SPEAKER_00: If a movie is terrible, I'm paid for it, I'm here, let's go.
• 1:01
SPEAKER_02: This spiraled into finding out Zach hates 80s music.
• 1:05
SPEAKER_02: But actually, we've deduced it's not really all 80s music, it's Allie's cheesy 80s music, like Karma Camellia or the playing with the Queen of Hearts, and more so because you're singing it.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_00: He hates when I sing 80s music.
• 1:19
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I can't.
• 1:20
SPEAKER_02: Because you don't pick the good stuff, you pick the cheesy campy stuff.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: I told him from Shits.
• 1:24
  SPEAKER_00: 8657309!
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_02: Who cares?
• 1:28
SPEAKER_02: If I hear that one more time, I'm gonna drop.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: I told him from Shits Creek there was a version of Simply the B the Best from Tina Turner that was amazing, and he's like, I doubt it because he hates 80s music so much.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_00: He just thinks it's all so cheesy.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_00: Well, I I played this for him.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_00: This is what who I don't remember the number, but this is what this texter was referencing was this version of Simply the Best.
• 1:51
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, so good.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_01: I call you when I need you, my heart's on fire.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_02: Oh, just wait till it gets going.
• 2:05
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I know.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_01: Give me everything I need.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_01: Give me a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_01: Speaking language of love like nobody in me.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_02: Now, for those of you that don't know, Tina Turner did this song originally.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_01: And it was a great version of that song, but this just went to the best new place.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_01: Better than all the better than anyone, anyone on every day.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_01: And I'm stuck on your heart.
• 2:40
SPEAKER_01: I hang on every word you say.
• 2:43
  SPEAKER_01: Tear us apart.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_01: Baby, I would rather be dead.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_00: You know what I think it is we never really listened to the words when Tina was doing it.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_00: All we listened to was when she was like, Simply the best! Oh, I know she was banging it out.
• 2:59
SPEAKER_00: Better than all the rest.
• 3:01
SPEAKER_02: See, that's where the problem is.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_02: I just watched you do it.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_02: This is where Zach was right with the no.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_02: See, you can't just be like in a car and be like, simply the best.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like going with the song.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_02: You had your arms just flailing, like you were in some sort of motion that I'm like, uh-oh, get the meds out.
• 3:15
  SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, isn't a car a stage for my performance?
• 3:18
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 3:19
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 3:20
  SPEAKER_00: No.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_02: I've heard enough of that word.
• 3:22
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
• 3:23
SPEAKER_02: Because I've been my because my whole thought on this was Zach going, oh no, he just doesn't like some of the Madonna stuff, some of the, you know, real, you know, or the campy stuff.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Let me ask him, how do you not like this?
• 3:35
SPEAKER_02: How do you not like hold me down?
• 3:38
SPEAKER_02: Like this is this is like a homecoming song for me from like 1987.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_00: This is a great one.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_00: I love this song.
• 3:45
SPEAKER_00: Did you ever watch The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler?
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: Of course! I believe this is the one.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_02: Didn't he just do that performance last Friday, Sher Taylor?
• 3:55
SPEAKER_02: And my wall, this is the music I picture Zach wanting to hear, and you know what's great about it?
• 4:00
SPEAKER_02: Real hard for you to bust in the song on this one.
• 4:03
  SPEAKER_02: Um it's not.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_02: I gotta watch your body on this.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_02: I'm asking him if he likes Bruce Hornsby at least.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_02: Yes, I guarantee you he's gonna stay in this.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_02: He's not into the real mainstream 80s, I'm telling you.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_02: Let's see, here it comes.
• 4:21
  SPEAKER_01: We cry until dawn.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_02: Okay, this is okay! All you're doing is a little squag.
• 4:32
SPEAKER_02: Just a little squag! And I don't get the fingers down.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_02: Don't hit me! You're becoming too much! You're ruining it!
• 4:40
SPEAKER_00: This is a performance, Scott.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_00: No, that's what life is.
• 4:43
  SPEAKER_00: Life is a performance.
• 4:45
  SPEAKER_00: I can't take it anymore.
• 4:47
  SPEAKER_02: Two, one.
• 4:48
SPEAKER_02: We're listening to Scott and Allie.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_02: Scott and Allie's big three.
• 4:52
SPEAKER_00: Several Manhattan buildings were evacuated yesterday after construction workers at a nearby high-rise realized, uh, I think it's gonna collapse.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_00: Crews were were rushing to secure the unstable building.
• 5:06
SPEAKER_00: Man, can you imagine if being anywhere close to there?
• 5:09
  SPEAKER_00: No, thank you.
• 5:10
  SPEAKER_00: I'm going that way.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
• 5:12
SPEAKER_00: Senate Republican leaders say they have recently spoken with Senator Mitch McConnell as speculation about his health grows.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_00: The 84-year-old Kentucky Senator has been hospitalized since June 14th.
• 5:23
SPEAKER_00: Emergency crews were called that day to his home for an unconscious person, but we've never heard if it was actually him.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_00: Okay, I had heard something yesterday about this.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_02: And there is a point to be made here, and this is an equalness point.
• 5:36
  SPEAKER_02: Nothing more than that.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_02: But if the Republicans were so hard on Joe Biden and his medical situation, don't we deserve to know about Mitch since he's an active senator?
• 5:47
  SPEAKER_02: Sure, yes.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_02: So I mean, wouldn't that be that should be something that, yeah, the information should be shared in the honor of being equal?
• 5:57
  SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_00: And Nestle is tweaking some recipes.
• 6:00
SPEAKER_00: They want to appeal to the GLP1 weight loss drug.
• 6:04
SPEAKER_00: Now, what was the place?
• 6:05
SPEAKER_02: So instead of getting a Twinkie, you're getting a twink.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_00: What was the other one the other day?
• 6:11
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I said that major restaurants were revamping menus.
• 6:15
SPEAKER_00: Like you're gonna see this in uh TGI Fridays that we don't have any here, have here anymore.
• 6:20
SPEAKER_00: Applebee's, um, maybe even cracker barrel that you'll start to see.
• 6:24
  SPEAKER_02: No, not that.
• 6:25
SPEAKER_00: Probably not, but you'll start to see the GLP1 section of the menus.
• 6:30
SPEAKER_00: And there's the big three.
• 6:31
SPEAKER_02: And ladies and gentlemen, we have an updated list from uh 3386 of what we should not do on the show.
• 6:38
SPEAKER_00: And then I'm gonna answer your Zach question on does he like Bruce Hornsby?
• 6:42
SPEAKER_02: Uh Scott, updated list Bible quotes, math, geography, and speed limits.
