- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Break it down.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Adam, Lynn never met, found Elizabeth.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's yeah, I mean that's pretty sweet.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, maybe Lynn can you know comment on this.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Now, the oh, the story was always that Elizabeth was buried in the woods.
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Now, do you believe that Elizabeth has found peace because you found out I think it's not merger anymore, it's truth.
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: You know, and this is this is probably a podcast to do with Lynn, but I would say before I get to Lynn.
- 0:34SPEAKER_03: Lynn, uh, Lynn has told me that Elizabeth stays because she wants to.
- 0:40SPEAKER_03: Um you know, she's there with her daughter, and that her daughter likes it there, and they're happy.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: That's that's great.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's that's all we want in life is the forgotten, not the forgotten, the the gone, I guess you might call it, to be happy.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: And and I think you know, that that it sort of opens up my eyes a little bit to say, you know, like because your your statement about like finding peace, you know, I there are certainly spirits that I tell stories about that if they're hanging around, they're not at peace.
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: And and we would hope that they can move on and and be at peace.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: You know, there are spirits that seem to want to stay and and to want to, you know, they're they're at peace.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: They're they're not looking for peace.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: They're they're here, they're they're happy.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: And um, you know, so I think that there's a a a large diversity of uh different types of of ghosts, of different types of hauntings that um why they're still here.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: Some of them might have unfinished business, some of them might not be at peace, and some of them are very much at peace and happy.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, a lot of people know the reason why I do this, not to podcast but investigate, is to keep memories alive and get memories straight.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: So in her, you know, story that she was buried somewhere where she really wasn't.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So that's a memory that gets us straight.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: And like I said before, it only takes one person to get a story wrong.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You know, you have someone gonna say, Hey, there's someone over here, give them wrong name, and the story's wrong.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Maybe that person is staying here because they're not remembered how they want to be remembered, and once they're remembered, you know, whatever, move on, whatever they want.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe they just like it there.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And it's sad that the most places we do investigate, which this is why this is such an awesome story, is that the most places we do investigate are total tragedy, you know, poorhouses, sane asylums, prisons.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: I think we gotta like start, and but people don't want that.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Like it'd be great to investigate places like that where the story ends great.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you you found history.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's you should you and Liz should be very proud of that.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm sure you are, but you broke a story that's been since 1700s.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: No, that's that's how I feel that hundreds of years people have been telling this story, and we now we now know a lot more information, and and knowing like you said, it it's you know, knowing it's not just a matter of proving another realm is exists or anything like that.
- 3:35SPEAKER_03: It's it these are real people who lived real lives, and uh layering in the history and the paranormal like that, you get a more complete and accurate picture of who they were, and I think remembering them is a respect that I I hope I hope someone pays me when I'm gone.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, you're also starting to sound like a hundred percent believer over there, Adam.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: You know, I I um you know, I I I do say I'm agnostic and and I I have shifted quite a bit um in doing this because like I said, I I didn't really intend to do ghost tours when I started.
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: I was planning on just writing a book or uh uh you know doing something more in line of just the history portion of it.
- 4:24SPEAKER_03: Um but yeah, I I would say that I have evolved to uh uh believe a lot more than I used to.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Um I I mean growing up, my parents are are very, very educated, very, very smart people, and they always told me, Adam, what we know about the world is only a fraction of what there is to know.
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and I I believe that that is true, that you know, we think we're very advanced scientifically, and you know, we have all of this data, but we probably only know just a teeny fraction of what there is to know.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: Uh so I I I try not to rule things out, um, but when I have these these cases, these uh instances where I cannot explain how things happen, the the most likely logical answer is it's real.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're probably like me too, like it's hard.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Like I do believe in spirits and everything.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I can never prove it, but from my experiences, personal experiences, I can say yes.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: And you sound like a kind of type of guy that needs like there's really no proof besides your experiences, you know, with Lynn.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, Lynn, I mean, that's probably the most proof you're gonna get.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: I you know, if if you you take the story of the ice cream, you know, the the house with the ice cream, and the kid, you know, talking about the the making ice cream in his bedroom, or you take this this story about Lynn, you know, unless these people, I mean Lynn is very smart, don't get me wrong.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: She she is a a very clever individual.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: Um, I I think she's she's quite brilliant.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: But unless unless she has almost a photographic memory and is able to research, mind you, I invited her to that church on Saturday and we went Sunday.
- 6:39SPEAKER_03: So unless she poured over records all night long to deceive me, uh, there is no other explanation for, you know, because Addison, Cook, Perrin, these are not names that you would you can link together randomly and be right.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: There's just no no chance of that.
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: So knowing knowing her, knowing the people that I've interviewed, uh, I I can say 100%, I don't believe that um that they are uh uh that they would have had the ability uh to pull this information out, the the time, the resources, and then I don't believe the deception.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: I don't believe that they are deceitful people.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: Uh so um if you put that together, that's where I say the only the only explanation that makes any logical sense is it's real.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: And and that's what has made me uh more of a believer.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: Uh but I'll I'll add to that that I still I I heard Lynn one time use this term evidential psychic.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure I'm saying that right, but uh but it it basically means she uh she'll hear things, she'll get things, she'll she'll pull things together, and she needs it to be verified some somewhere in the historic record or or through an experience.
- 8:10SPEAKER_03: And it's not that she doesn't, you know, not that it's not real, it's just that she doesn't know what to do with it.
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: So she puts it on a shelf, she says, you know, I have to put this on the shelf until somebody can confirm or make sense out of what um what I'm saying.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: So I'll give you an example of that.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: While we were doing our first walk on the island, we're standing kind of in a warehouse.
- 8:33SPEAKER_03: There's this old, it's it's part of the Chesapeake Biological Lab, and and they do scientific research on the Chesapeake Bay, and we're standing kind of in the warehouse section where the loading dock, and and she said, you know, this wasn't always here.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: And I'm yes, you know.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: Um, and she said, um, she said, there were lots of little houses here.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: And I said, interesting.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: And she said, Well, that doesn't make any sense.
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: She said, in each house there was one person, and I said, Okay.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: And she says, Adam, this doesn't, this is not making any sense.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: I said, keep going.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: She said, Um, well, I'm seeing a wall of water, like a tidal wave almost, but this wall of water coming and washing all these houses into the water.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: I said, Okay.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: And she said, and and the houses are still, some of them are still in the water.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: You know, she said, I this isn't making any sense.
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: I don't, I, I, we should just move on.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: I said, So here's the thing where we were standing was one of the old cemeteries.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: And when she's seeing houses with, you know, little houses with one person in them, it's coffined.
- 9:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: And there was a great hurricane in 1933 that flooded the whole island, and those coffins washed away.
- 9:51SPEAKER_03: You know, they they came up out of the ground and they washed out, and they found most of them, but not all of them.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: In fact, we found one, we found a coffin not too long ago.
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: It was just a couple years ago, they found an old coffin from 1931.
- 10:05SPEAKER_03: Um, but it was had washed out from the 33 hurricane.
- 10:09SPEAKER_03: Um, so she wasn't able to make sense out of the what you know what she was picking up, but I could because of the history.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: I I knew the history of what she was talking about.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, she's putting the pieces of the puzzle on the table and you're putting it together.
- 10:28SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's kind of the way I look at it.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: So, I mean now that's cool because like she said, I if I can't if it can't be verified, I'm skeptical.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: And that's I wish more people were like that out there.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: There's so many people out there that like it's a ghost, it's a shadow, it's whatever, and you know, but you need history to verify those.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Is some history lost?
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: Yes, but you've also proven if you dig deep enough and long enough, you'll find it too.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, there's been places I've been to that we've gotten names, and I try to go over to obituaries, and it's just you know, 1700s, you know, trying to read that stuff.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: My mind is bowed.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Every now and then you'll find one.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I can get some drink here.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Every now and then you'll find something that matches up.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: I don't care if you do 100 cases and one matches up, it's worth it to me.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: So well, and and that's we we tell people when we do the psychic tour, we'll tell people she might pick something up, and I've got nothing, right?
- 11:33SPEAKER_03: Like, um, you know, I I don't know all the history, and even if I did, not everything has been recorded, so you know there's there's big gaps in what is is still available, you know.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: So Lynn keeps posting stuff, so I gotta throw those out there, Lynn.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: You gotta email me, I'll email you.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, come on a show because um you heard some of my shows before psychics mediums.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: I've said some stuff.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: I am more of a believer than I was than eight months ago, but I think it's being diluted.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: I don't want to say with I can't say fakes, I think a lot of people out there believe they are.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: If I believe also there's people have good imaginations, and some people are gonna get mad at that, but that's the way I believe, and it's my show, so I can say it.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: Right, Ryan.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: I I I'm with you.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: I actually, and I I've told Lynn this.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: I hope she's not offended.
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: I say this, but one of the the reasons that I was so willing to meet with her because I've never met a um unsure of themselves psychic.
- 12:37SPEAKER_03: Um I I appreciated that because you know, I I think that that's uh I I don't want to say, you know, I I don't want to dismiss anybody.
- 12:50SPEAKER_03: I you know everybody's got their story and they've are entitled to it, but people that are very confident in their psychic abilities, I you know, I kind of I just don't feel terribly comfortable about that because I I I wonder, you know, how it all works, and and my mind's thinking before I go to sleep.
- 13:09SPEAKER_03: I'm thinking, oh, well, you know, why if they're so confident, why aren't they playing the lottery or things like that, right?
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: Um, but working with Lynn, it's really opened my eyes to wait, you know, she's not receiving, you know, what she's picking up is not always super clear.
- 13:29SPEAKER_03: Um, and she's got to make sense through her lens.
- 13:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah um and and that makes sense to me.
- 13:37SPEAKER_03: That I can that I can work with.
- 13:40SPEAKER_03: And um knowing that that she is trying to make sense of it as she's receiving it, I that makes sense, and and I can I feel comfortable talking to her about that then, um, and trying to solve what that makes, what sense it is.
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, she said one thing right there, like you have to prove it.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I've had people on my show before they're sensitive mediums, and I'm like, prove it.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: That's all I ask.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you want to come come out and say you're a psychic medium, prove it.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: And people can say that same about me.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I'm not psychic medium or sensitive, I believe we're all sensitive and some sort, but you know, if you want to come out and bloat it, prove it.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: And she's like people always ask me at you know, I work with 130 people.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Do you believe in ghosts?
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, I do, but I can't prove it.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't think there's anybody out there that can.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: It's just your belief and your feelings, like she said, it dishonors the people who are now spirits to make stuff up about them.
- 14:50SPEAKER_03: You know, but it's it's interesting because Lynn does readings for people, and I hope I'm saying that readings for people, but she'll she she works with people, you know, she'll she'll always say to me, Oh gosh, I blew that.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: Uh almost every time she says, Oh, I blew it.
- 15:07SPEAKER_03: And then the people come back and say, Oh my god, oh my goodness, that was so eye-opening, and like you connected me with some bit of me that was lost.
- 15:15SPEAKER_03: And you know, I I think I I don't know if it's you know, I don't want to dispute what Lynn said about it being on demand or not, but I I think a lot of times what I've seen from her abilities is that it's I I don't think she fully knows that it's it's happening.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Um you know, I I think she thinks she bombed uh uh a talk with someone, but in fact it was exactly what this person needed to hear.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: And yeah, um, same with investigation.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: Some people will go into a location and get nothing, others will go in the location and get overwhelmed.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'll throw that out there.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes the spirits just want to be left alone, and that's true.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: We go in these places, they're supposedly so active and try to get some answers or keep memories alive and nothing all night.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: I'm fine with that because I just love going in these old buildings, seeing the history of it.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: So I'm cool with that.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: When stuff doesn't happen, yeah, it stinks.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: You go there for a paranormal investigation, and no spirits want to talk to you.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: But sometimes I don't blame them.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: I'm not the nicest guy to talk to.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: And to to Deborah's point, you know, again, I I am a I'm a nerdy historian, right?
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: Like I that that's where I came from.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: Like, I this is my background, not paranormal, not you know, I I Lynn has told me and she's she's told the Tor groups, she said, look, everybody, everybody is sensitive.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: Some are more sensitive than others.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: And I I think that that is is true, you know.
- 16:49SPEAKER_03: Growing up, there were family members that had experiences and things, and I I never did.
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: I I never did.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: I'm a more logical and historic-minded person, and other people had more religious and and spiritual and supernatural occurrences.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: I didn't have those.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: Um I I had some, but not not to the extent these other people did.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: And I think that that's everybody's just on a slightly different, I guess, what they are what they're sensitive to, yeah.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: No, I mean that's that's fair.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, I always say a lot of people, everybody's sensitive, just depends depends how sensitive you are and how sensitive you want to be.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think you know, open yourself up a little bit, I think you're gonna get a lot more interaction doing history tours because you're keeping those memories alive, and I think some spirits might want to come to you and talk to you.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: But depends if you want to open yourself up too.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: You don't have to.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, whatever, it's your life.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: So it's no, it's cool.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, everybody's a sense of because I always say I take new people on investigations, they're like, We did not get any evidence.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you walked in that room and you felt off, your hair stood up, and you didn't want to be in there.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, there's your evidence.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Just because piece of equipment didn't go off doesn't mean you didn't have an experience.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Have you ever had that feeling?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: So oh man, I stomped at them.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: There have been times, you know.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: I you know, I'm trying to decide how personal I want to get, right?
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: Like, um, but I I think I think that there are times in our lives where to me, family is very important.
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: Um and and your uh family, um, my personal belief system is that your family that are no longer here still still kind of watch out for you.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: And yeah, you know, there have been times in my life where I have felt them close.
- 18:58SPEAKER_03: Uh and I think you know, it's it's it's not all the time, and it's not it's certainly not a um if I if I want it, it's not there.
- 19:09SPEAKER_03: Um it's it's usually the lowest points in one's time, you know, life where where something like that might occur, where they where people are there to help and comfort.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's when you need it, right?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we did a show, I don't know, a few weeks ago.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Um, Jeff Fent was on, and he makes the fent box, the you know, famous fent box and everything.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: And he's saying he only makes it when it's personal.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Well, I like my grandfather was my mentor and everything.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: I probably won't get through the story because that's the point of my story, because I had a hard time getting through it.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: You know, he passed 30 years ago, you know, 30 some years ago.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And I'm telling him, like, I don't have anything personal.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: I have his navy uniform still, but it's in a frame, I'm not touching that, so I don't really have anything else to put in this you know, fet box.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, because when I want to talk to him, I just talk to him.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: You know, I don't need physical stuff because he's always there with me.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Now, is it and this I know he's gonna tell me every time I ask a question when I need him, when I'm down a little bit.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Hey, do this.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Like, just like my mom.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: My mom is a smart ass.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Like, hey, hey, mom, I need that.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: She'll be like, just get off your ass and do it.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: You know, I I can hear her voice tell me that.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: She's been gone for you know four years.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: So is it our mind making it up, or is that her telling us that?
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but it doesn't matter.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: You know what they're gonna say, they might be saying it.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: It was very hard to talk about my grandfather during that show.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: And again, he was my he was my everything, you know, growing up.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: So I we're done with that topic because I don't want to talk about that.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: One of the things that I have been doing, um you know, I I I love to do the research on the history.
- 21:03SPEAKER_03: And speaking of grandfathers, you know, I've uh my grandfather died when I was nine years old, and I've spent um quite a bit of time going over a lot of his records because he he did a lot with his Chesapeake Bay, and um, you know, he was he was a rather uh fascinating individual.
- 21:23SPEAKER_03: I mean, he he was a spy in World War II, he was a professional baseball player, he was um in the Coast Guard auxiliary and went out on rescues.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: Um, and and then he worked with Waterman's Association to try to restore uh the the health of the Chesapeake Bay.
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: Uh just sort of a man of many talents.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: And it's been fun doing the research uh on his life and trying to pick out, you know, even just picking out little news articles where he's in it, and you know, just it may.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Makes me feel a little bit closer to him, and um, you know, he he died before I really got to know him, but it's it's been you know, going over the history, you you starting to get a feel for him.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, starting to get to know him a little bit.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're you're his blood, so I'm sure there's a lot of him and you, and I'm sure you guys act the same way, you know, have the same in in some ways I hope so.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, there was a uh story that I found about him donating quite a bit of money to a charity, and um, and I it just you know, I just I was like, you know, he he was just doing all kinds of things, like I just he was a busy man and doing so much good for people and and trying to think of how to make the world a better place.
- 22:54SPEAKER_03: And and so I hope I do that.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: I hope I I try to try to live that way.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Uh we gotta I think this is a question here.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: We'll let you answer this.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: You know, um it's a great question.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Um I I was I I just had this uh this conversation.
- 23:14SPEAKER_03: Let me try to try to frame it a little bit.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: So if if people say, oh, you know, I had a dream of such and such, and and I feel like in our culture, Western culture, dreams aren't, you know, people don't put a lot of stock in dreams, right?
- 23:32SPEAKER_03: Like it's um, you know, you they it's very it's very easily dismissed.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: And whether you're uh religious or not religious, it's interesting to me that there are religions and cultures that put a lot of belief in the dream.
- 23:56SPEAKER_03: Um, and you know, for those of uh you know Judeo-Christian background, you know, it's it's it's kind of funny to me when they don't believe in ghosts or they don't believe in in the power of dreams when you know you you look at like you know Joseph in Egypt.
- 24:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, how did he get Pharaoh's favor?
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: It was through interpreting dreams, and it was through that dream of the Pharaoh that he was able to uh prepare for famine.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: Um and so uh you know, you've got that, you've got um a lot of South American traditions uh where uh you know dreams and uh have have led them to prepare for the arrival of the Europeans, which not so successful, but uh still you've got that tradition alive, and it's still very much so in uh today.
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: Um, so you know, from a historical perspective, dreaming has always been important to people, and it's only fairly recent in our Western culture that we've been dismissive of dreams.
- 25:14SPEAKER_03: Um and so to to long of it short, uh you know, if you look at it through history's eyes, the bulk of human existence dreaming has been an important piece of understanding the reality and without we're in.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: There you go, Reddinger.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Um, I cannot answer that question because to be honest, I have not remembered a dream probably in 35 years.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: I just I'm sure I dream.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I just when I wake up, I don't remember anything.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: So I couldn't answer that one.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: So I'm waiting to that one dream.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And I think when I was in high school, I used to write down my dreams, you know, what when I wake up and it did seem like you know, collab with a lot of stuff that was happening in my life or was about to happen, and all of a sudden they just stopped.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: That's just me.
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: Maybe one day you'll have that that dream that that will stick with you for a reason.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for, but can't force dreams.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: So yeah, Redini said thank you, Adam.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I appreciate your thoughts on this, and I just want to share real quick all my family members who have passed.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: My aunt, uncle, father, and brothers, they were all together, and I woke up in tears, but yet I felt blessed.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Like we said, your family's always there with you.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's my belief.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Um, there's times where I just look up and say hi to them all the time.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: So I believe that, yeah.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about your tours a little bit.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: We're hour 25 minutes into this.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: So, do you have any plans on expanding or just keep doing the history and see where it goes?
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right now it's um you know it's been growing.
- 27:17SPEAKER_03: So this is this will be my fourth year.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: And um, you know, the first two years I probably did you know a hundred or so people that I did tours for, and then last year it it really kind of took off and and has been much bigger.
- 27:34SPEAKER_03: Um expecting this year to be also exponentially growing.
- 27:39SPEAKER_03: I I'm a one-man show, so it's um you know, like doing the tours has been uh I love it.
- 27:47SPEAKER_03: I I absolutely love it.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: I love meeting with people.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: I do the tours for as few as two people.
- 27:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and I, you know, there's tours out there that they have limits on, you know, you know, minimal numbers that need to be reached before they'll do the tour.
- 28:02SPEAKER_03: For me, I just love being on Solomon's, walking around the island, talking about the history with people.
- 28:07SPEAKER_03: So, you know, if I've got a couple of people, I'm I'm more than happy to go and and walk with them.
- 28:12SPEAKER_03: But uh, you know, I I do need to look at my timing of it all because as they as they become more popular, it it's it's a lot to keep up with.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: Um but uh as far as expansion, I mean, I'm I loved doing the last year doing the psychic tours with Lynn, and I definitely think we're gonna do more of those.
- 28:38SPEAKER_03: And you know, I've done tours at Point Lookout, I've done tours at Sodterley Plantation, it's an old plantation on the Patuxent River.
- 28:47SPEAKER_03: Um, and I've done a couple I've got done a couple um sort of lectures or or talks on other places like Leonardtown.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: So I I do a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but I think I want to focus and and stay focused on Solomon's.
- 29:06SPEAKER_03: That that is uh where my heart is.
- 29:09SPEAKER_03: And will I I I think eventually we if if it keeps growing, I might have to bring someone else on to help with the tours because I can't keep up with it.
- 29:19SPEAKER_03: But uh for now, I think this year I'll be fine to do it and uh we'll see we'll see how big it gets.
- 29:25SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I'll just throw that out there.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Um, I think the one cool thing, like where you're at, and same with Mississippi, is why I think it's great, is because people are going there for the weather, the seafood, the beaches.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, families out there.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, do you have an age limit on your tours?
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: I don't.
- 29:44SPEAKER_03: I I um there's you know, I the way I do it is I say, you know, I talk about death a lot.
- 29:51SPEAKER_03: There's a lot of death, uh lot of drownings, a lot of um, but if you're okay with a kid hearing those stories, I there's there's some stories I I try not to tell.
- 30:03SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, for instance, suicides.
- 30:06SPEAKER_03: I don't like talking about suicides.
- 30:09SPEAKER_03: Um there is one story that I have to mention it, uh, but I try to be very delicate with it.
- 30:15SPEAKER_03: I I say, well, this young lady was in love with a waterman who drowned and she went in the water looking for him.
- 30:22SPEAKER_03: And that's sort of how I tell the story.
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: Um, but I I don't I don't like talking about dark things.
- 30:31SPEAKER_03: Um I I mentioned in the very beginning that I did about 70 interviews with people, some of them were possession stories.
- 30:39SPEAKER_03: I don't do those either.
- 30:40SPEAKER_03: You know, I stay away from anything that might be seen as um you know too dark or too evil.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: Um there's there's at one point in the end of my tour that I show a picture of a dead body, it's it's sort of important to the story, and I I tell people if you are squeamish about seeing bodies turn around.
- 31:04SPEAKER_03: And um uh it's it's actually it's not a paranormal story.
- 31:09SPEAKER_03: I end the tour on a story that's not at all paranormal, it's about a CIA agent that went missing on Solomon's Island, and and I I it's a cool story, but it uh it's not paranormal, it's it's uh espionage, it's height.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: So no, I mean, because like I was saying, you're just in a great location because like my kids are older right now, like 16 and 19, but you know, you're gonna go somewhere because you're going there for the beach of seafood, and you're there four nights.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: You know, you can only walk on the beach at night so many times.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Like, what do you want to do?
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: Let's go on a ghost tour.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, Solomon's has so much going for it.
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: You know, Calvert County is is more rural county, it's beautiful.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: We've got you know great farmland and seafood and just the the small town feel, but you're right, at night there's not a whole lot to do.
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: You know, we're not uh we're not a night town.
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: Um and so this was uh the ghost tours was it's actually one of the the reasons that I was thinking about it was it's a great way to tell history, but it's also a great way for the tourists that are like, what do we do now that the sun has set?
- 32:24SPEAKER_03: You know, we can't go boating, we can't go fishing, we can't um you know, do a lot of things.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: So now I'm at that's neat.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, do you mostly do your your tours like in the evening or do you do day tours or I do do day tours, but it so the way I have it set up is people can book the tour on my website.
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: Um, they go to my website and they can they go to the book now and they can select a day, and it's usually at 7 p.m.
- 32:52SPEAKER_03: Um during the uh fall, during October, I I offer two tours because it's so busy in the fall.
- 32:59SPEAKER_03: But uh if people email me and they say I can't I can't make it tonight, but I can do it during the day.
- 33:07SPEAKER_03: If I'm available, I'll do a tour during the day.
- 33:10SPEAKER_03: Um, and then I also do tours with some of the you know, some of our our um tour boat companies, you know, there's there's um a lot a lot of boating in Solomon's, and uh so I'll do tours with the boats where it'll be through the day that I'll I'll give a a boat ride tour.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: Multitasking there, huh?
- 33:32unknown: Yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_03: However, however, people want to learn the stories, I'm happy to to do it.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I mean that's cool.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Um tower paranormal just jumped on.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: How's it going?
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Um, toward the end here, just wrapping stuff up.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: So your website, spooky solomons.com.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 33:50SPEAKER_03: Yep, spookysolomons.com.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: Everybody check that out.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: Um you check them out on Facebook.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: That's how I don't know if I found you, you found me, it doesn't matter.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Check this out.
- 34:02SPEAKER_03: This time of year I do mostly uh local history and legends and lore.
- 34:07SPEAKER_03: I some some some not so local, but mostly local history, legends, and lore.
- 34:12SPEAKER_03: I try to post almost daily about some some interesting fact.
- 34:17SPEAKER_03: Um, for instance, today I think it was uh uh on this day, a hundred and I can't remember, 33 years ago, a a coal barge sank off in the Patuxent River, right up right at the entrance of the Patuxent River, and it um they were transporting coal and it it flooded and it sank.
- 34:37SPEAKER_03: Um it's just one of those little tidbits of of information that people people might find interesting.
- 34:42SPEAKER_03: So that's what I do.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: But during the summer and fall, I do a lot more ghostly and and advertising the tours a little bit more to the um the the tourists that are down here.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: So yeah, everybody, if you're going to Maryland or go to Maryland, go to a famous spot.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Um again, good food, good atmosphere.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: If you like that small town feel, yeah.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: Um hit it up.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: When do you like you said, like this time of year, it's kind of you don't do any tours this time of year because of the weather?
- 35:12SPEAKER_03: When do you I do I you know we we've got um our we have three Friday the 13ths, and people love to do tours on Friday the 13th.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: So we had one last month and we've got or this month and we've got one next month in March, and then I think the last Friday the 13th is in November.
- 35:28SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: Um and and so we did a tour last Friday the 13th, which was February the 13th, and it was cold.
- 35:35SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, it was very cold.
- 35:38SPEAKER_03: And I my hands were so numb that I couldn't swipe my images for to show people.
- 35:44SPEAKER_03: Um, but but uh we had a good group and and most of them stayed to the end.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: Um they were pretty frozen, but they most of them stayed.
- 35:52unknown: Yeah.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: I believe spirits are more active when it's cold, but I know you're doing history tours with low paranormal.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: So right.
- 35:59SPEAKER_03: Well, that you know, I I uh the the joke is that there's you can you can get the chills in multiple ways on my tour in the wintertime.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, going out in 25 degrees will give you chills.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: No, I mean, definitely.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm interested.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna look up Solomon's Island because always looking for new places just to hang out and check out, especially I love the small town feel.
- 36:24SPEAKER_03: So it yes, it's it's a um I'm gonna show you.
- 36:28SPEAKER_03: So if you go to the to my website, but um you'll see some of the pictures.
- 36:33SPEAKER_03: It's just beautiful, and it's a it's a beautiful place to get some ice cream, get some crab cakes, and relax in a small town atmosphere, go boating, go fishing.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: So again, follow my all my socials.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: Do you have a YouTube or just Facebook?
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: And I actually do have a YouTube, but I it's not very um, I just I I just sort of do some fun things on there, but nothing.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I can YouTube's posting this now.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: YouTube is a pain in the butt.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: So um, yeah, Tower Paranormal.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Any haunted BBs I can stay in the area before I do my tour.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Um do you have any haunted hotels or anything?
- 37:15SPEAKER_03: Or so I have to be careful.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: So there is a wonderful Airbnb or a wonderful bed and breakfast.
- 37:26SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, there's a wonderful bed and breakfast on the island.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: It's called the Solomon's Victorian Inn.
- 37:32SPEAKER_03: Um, it is it is one of the older largest houses built on the island.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: Um, it is beautiful, and the people that run it are absolutely fantastic.
- 37:45SPEAKER_03: Uh, I asked them, uh, is the place haunted?
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: And they said, No, no, it's not haunted.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: Don't tell anybody it's haunted.
- 37:54SPEAKER_03: Um Solomon's Victorian Inn, not haunted.
- 37:58SPEAKER_03: But it's got a lot of history, and I get this question a lot.
- 38:04SPEAKER_03: People say, Solomon's Island.
- 38:05SPEAKER_03: I didn't realize that was haunted.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: I say, anywhere, anywhere where you have people living and dying, you've got stories.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I don't like everybody always says, like, this place is a haunted, this isn't that.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: If you ask enough questions, stuff's gonna come answer.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's you know, where we're sitting right now, there might be someone buried beneath us because we don't know.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, this world is old.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: Yes, but yeah, I mean, I the there's there's a lot of wonderful places to stay on the island and and off the island, but uh, you know, if you're looking for that old world charm, staying in one of these old uh mansion houses, Solomon's Victorian Inn.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: No, that's cool.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely gonna look into that.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Always looking for new places to go.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: I said my kids are getting older, so it'd be nice to take the wife out.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: Um, she likes beaches, she likes southern beaches.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: Um try to explain her no matter what beach you're at, it's the same sun.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: Like, but it doesn't work out too well for me.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter, it's the same sun, but I get the you know, it's all about relaxation.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: When we go on vacations, we work a lot.
- 39:31SPEAKER_00: So Salmon Island sounds like a great place to unwind, relax.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: You don't need a vacation after your vacation type of place.
- 39:40SPEAKER_03: So and Deborah, I saw that if you're coming to Maryland, I'd I'd love to see you down here.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Deborah's part of uh Verona Ghost Chasers.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: Sorry, Deborah, I investigate with them all the time.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: So um, it is the same.
- 39:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, send send me an email if you come down here.
- 39:59SPEAKER_03: Lynn and I will get together with you.
- 40:00SPEAKER_03: I don't want to speak for Lynn, but I I'm sure she'd be happy we'd get together and and show you some some off-the-beaten paths places.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're great.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: Or natural great.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: So, no, I mean again, I appreciate it.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: Always go over minute 40 now, and counting an hour 40, sorry.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: But I appreciate you coming on.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: You know, I always tell this to everybody, keep doing what you're doing, it's unbelievable.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: Um, storage told me chilly, like give me chills in my spine a little bit, and that's what's cool.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, everybody who jumped on, Lynn, Deborah Lynn.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: Um I can't read everybody's name.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of them in here.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Tyler Paranormal Red Dinger.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: Thanks for all your questions and being part of it.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure if you have any questions for Adam, you can probably email him.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, and he'll probably help you out, lead you in the right direction.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: But again, appreciate it.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Hope to talk to you soon.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe see you soon.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: Um, I told that to the group in UK, and they're like, Yeah, right, and I will see them soon because I'm fine over there.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: So I don't be surprised if I knock on your front door sometimes.
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: So you're always welcome, Ryan.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it take care again.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Check him out, check out his website, check out his Facebook, see what Maryland has to offer.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you, Ryan.
- 41:29SPEAKER_00: It's been a pleasure.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: You too.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Thank you very much.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Thanks, everybody.
