- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, welcome back to another episode of Good to Know.
- 0:17Speaker 1: This is the San Diego version of it all, and
- 0:20Speaker 1: today we have a really, really fun guest who's going
- 0:23Speaker 1: to be at pretty much all the clubs pretty soon,
- 0:25Speaker 1: so You're going to hear him first, but he's going
- 0:27Speaker 1: to be all over the towns of the five or
- 0:30Speaker 1: four or five punk comedy clubs that are about. Without
- 0:33Speaker 1: no further ado, let's give a big warm welcome to
- 0:37Speaker 1: Joshua Huguera.
- 0:42Speaker 2: What's up, everybody?
- 0:44Speaker 3: That's all funny. We're both waking up right now, so
- 0:46Speaker 3: it's all like... What happened? So you were kicking it? No,
- 0:51Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Oh, no, I just overslept. I don't know. I thought
- 0:57Speaker 2: I was going to be up at, like, 9, and
- 0:58Speaker 2: then I wake up to your text.
- 1:00Speaker 4: I was like, oh, man, I'm so sorry.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Do you have kids?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I have two. I have a 2-year-old and a 7-year-old. 2-year-old, 7-year-old.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh, so, like, because people that have kids are always, like,
- 1:12Speaker 1: used to waking up super early. That's why I was like, oh,
- 1:14Speaker 1: you should have no problem with, like, 10 o'clock.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Well, usually I could use them as an excuse, but
- 1:20Speaker 2: I wasn't going to. I was going to take responsibility
- 1:24Speaker 2: for this one.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Hilarious.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Easy cop out.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Oh, my kids were sleeping last night.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Tell us about your show.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I do a show called Hilarious to Discharge that all
- 1:40Speaker 4: the mic drops.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's a veteran comedy show.
- 1:45Speaker 4: At first, I wanted it to be like all veteran comedians,
- 1:47Speaker 4: but then I realized, like, why am I going to
- 1:48Speaker 4: limit it to just veterans when, you know, civilian comedians
- 1:53Speaker 4: could do it too. It's not just for vets. It'd
- 1:58Speaker 4: be cool for all comedians to just come and perform.
- 2:01Speaker 4: The goal is to bring out comedians, or not comedians,
- 2:03Speaker 4: veterans out of their house. So that's pretty much my
- 2:06Speaker 4: goal is to get vets out of the house to
- 2:09Speaker 4: come out and have a good time together.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And it's been pretty good.
- 2:14Speaker 3: That's awesome. How long were you in? What branch too
- 2:16Speaker 3: as well?
- 2:18Speaker 4: Army.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I was in the Army for nine years. Nine years.
- 2:22Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It's so funny to hear from comics that pretty much
- 2:27Speaker 1: lived a whole other life prior to doing stand-up and
- 2:30Speaker 1: stuff like that. What all of a sudden sparked that
- 2:32Speaker 1: interest out of the Corps? What did they call the
- 2:36Speaker 1: Army branch like that?
- 2:39Speaker 2: Army?
- 2:39Speaker 3: They just called it Army.
- 2:41Speaker 4: They call it the Marine because it's the Marine Corps.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I was actually working in a prison at the time.
- 2:49Speaker 4: And I was making these YouTube videos, real silly YouTube videos.
- 2:55Speaker 4: And then they found out that I wanted to start
- 2:57Speaker 4: doing comedy. So at the academy for the prison, they're like,
- 2:59Speaker 4: when we graduate, you're going to go up there on stage.
- 3:03Speaker 4: So I pretty much just did all my YouTube videos
- 3:05Speaker 4: that were out there. I kind of combined them all
- 3:10Speaker 4: together and kind of made fun of the academy because
- 3:12Speaker 4: people were cheating on their wives and stuff at the academy.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Oh, shit. So I like making fun of all that.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Yeah. And I didn't have no microphone. Everybody was, like,
- 3:21Speaker 4: horseshoed around me, and I just talked to class. Ever
- 3:25Speaker 4: since then, I've been on stage.
- 3:27Speaker 3: That'll work. That'll work. And then, so what would you
- 3:30Speaker 3: do while you were in the Army? Like, what was
- 3:31Speaker 3: your job?
- 3:31Speaker 2: I was a military police.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Oh, shit. Okay, so that's why you went to, and
- 3:36Speaker 3: you said you worked at prisons, too, you said.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because I went to Gitmo. I deployed to Gitmo.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Shut up. So one of the.
- 3:44Speaker 4: One of the sergeants on the QRF team that I
- 3:46Speaker 4: was on, he's like, hey, when we came back, he said,
- 3:48Speaker 4: you should apply for my job.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And at first, I'm like, I'm not ever working in
- 3:51Speaker 2: a prison again. He's like, it's not the same.
- 3:53Speaker 4: It's way different. So I applied just to try it
- 3:56Speaker 4: out because I was working security and going to college.
- 4:00Speaker 2: And it wasn't bad. I mean, it was way different
- 4:03Speaker 2: than Cuba, I tell you that.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah, no, fuck for real. I was going to say,
- 4:09Speaker 3: any crazy-ass prison stories?
- 4:13Speaker 4: Uh, yeah, there's a bunch. I mean, prison was, it's
- 4:17Speaker 4: not what you think. It's not like on TV where
- 4:20Speaker 4: crazy stuff is happening all the time, you know? I mean,
- 4:23Speaker 4: it's when you least expect it, you know? Like, I
- 4:26Speaker 4: remember one time, actually, we're really good friends now. We
- 4:29Speaker 4: were talking, his name's Adele. We were working at a
- 4:33Speaker 4: housing unit together, and we're both just talking, and I'm
- 4:35Speaker 4: standing behind him, showing him, like, these pre-workouts that I
- 4:38Speaker 4: was using.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I was like, oh, yeah, right here.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I'm showing him the website. And then you just hear
- 4:41Speaker 4: a bunch of chairs, like, and then it got real quiet, like, silent.
- 4:46Speaker 4: And then I look out, and there's this dude just
- 4:48Speaker 4: getting his head, like, kicked into the ground. I was like, oh, shit,
- 4:52Speaker 4: they're fighting right now. And I just remember he, it
- 4:56Speaker 4: probably wasn't this dramatic, but, like, in my head, the memory, he's, like,
- 4:59Speaker 4: pushes everything off the table, and he's, like, control the fiber,
- 5:02Speaker 4: we got to fight the fiber, like, flipping out. And
- 5:04Speaker 4: he runs out there and tackles one of the dudes,
- 5:06Speaker 4: and I'm like, what? dude, we're not supposed to just
- 5:09Speaker 4: go out there and jump in the middle of a fight.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And then I just remember the dude, we thought he
- 5:15Speaker 4: was dead. And a dad like goes up to the
- 5:18Speaker 4: guy and like picks him up. He's like, no, he's
- 5:19Speaker 4: not dead.
- 5:20Speaker 2: He's alive. He doesn't pick him up, but he just
- 5:22Speaker 2: drops him. He's like, oh, he is dead. Drops him.
- 5:24Speaker 4: And I just remember his head was just like, he
- 5:26Speaker 4: wasn't dead. He was, he ended up waking up looking
- 5:29Speaker 4: for his glasses. But just the fact that he went
- 5:31Speaker 4: over there to pick him up is hilarious, man. It's
- 5:34Speaker 4: probably not funny for someone listening, but in that moment,
- 5:37Speaker 4: I don't know why that, memory sparked right now.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Well, that's funny that, I mean, cause you say that
- 5:42Speaker 3: it's funny.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Uh, you, it's funny that you say it's funny because, um,
- 5:45Speaker 1: being in such a high pressure, uh, position, um, like
- 5:49Speaker 1: nurses and doctors and ERs, they have dark sense of
- 5:51Speaker 1: humor as they laugh at like the most darkest things.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 2: That's why it's hard to talk about on stage.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Cause it's really hard to relay that to regular people,
- 6:02Speaker 4: you know, like it's tough.
- 6:03Speaker 2: It's really hard.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely having to, like, figure out the balance of,
- 6:11Speaker 3: you know, like.
- 6:11Speaker 1: The device that I use sometimes for something like that,
- 6:15Speaker 1: because I used to have this really dark story about
- 6:18Speaker 1: when we were kids, we beat up this hooker, but
- 6:22Speaker 1: it wasn't, like, one of my friends became a pimp,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and he was, like, I tell the story, but I
- 6:29Speaker 1: tell the story from a vulnerability standpoint, which is what's
- 6:33Speaker 1: going on actually in my brain at the moment, you know, like,
- 6:36Speaker 1: because like, I didn't know what was going on.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I just know that like, what's going on? I was like, huh?
- 6:41Speaker 1: And it was funny because, well, it's not funny, but he,
- 6:44Speaker 1: he tells the girl, like, I don't hit women, you know? And,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and I'm like, in my head, I was like, oh
- 6:50Speaker 1: my God, thank you. Oh girl, I was really, I
- 6:51Speaker 1: was worried for you too. I was scared because I was,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and then he goes, but my brother and his friend do.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And I'm, I started, I was like, what?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Like, friend.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I was like, I'm, I'm, I'm friend. And I was like,
- 7:03Speaker 1: oh shit, he, he's saying that we got to beat
- 7:05Speaker 1: her up. And then, so she takes off running down the, uh,
- 7:07Speaker 1: the hall, the, the, I'm not the hall, but the block. And, um,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm not trying to catch her. I'm, I'm trying to
- 7:13Speaker 1: let her go. But the other guy, he is full
- 7:16Speaker 1: on geese and, and I'm like, and as I'm telling
- 7:19Speaker 1: the story, I'm, I'm, I'm dragging my feet. And it's,
- 7:22Speaker 1: it's funny because of the vulnerability that I'm going through.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'm 14 years old at the time, you know, like
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't want to do this, but like, I'm, it's,
- 7:30Speaker 1: it's one of those things when you're in the, like
- 7:32Speaker 1: in the, I don't like saying hood or street or
- 7:35Speaker 1: just like, just growing up. It's like, yo, if you're
- 7:38Speaker 1: going to, if you're going to be labeled a bitch,
- 7:40Speaker 1: then it's, that's going to, that's going to run.
- 7:42Speaker 3: With you for a while. So it's like, yeah. So
- 7:45Speaker 3: I'm like, yo, let me like, let me, let me
- 7:48Speaker 3: let her go. But he, it was, it was nuts, man.
- 7:50Speaker 3: But like I said, it's, it's a dark, It's a dark,
- 7:52Speaker 3: dark thing, but when you speak from a vulnerability standpoint,
- 7:56Speaker 3: I think people understand it a little more, and it'd
- 7:58Speaker 3: be easier to digest.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 4: I always try to put it like, I thought.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Of it this way, but this is how it was.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You know, like, I was nice sometimes.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I was watching Felon recently, that flick
- 8:17Speaker 1: where it's like, based on the true story of Corcoran,
- 8:21Speaker 1: I guess when they used to have the gladiator fights.
- 8:23Speaker 3: That was crazy.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I've never had to look that up.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 1: In Corcoran Correctional Facility, I think it is. They were
- 8:36Speaker 1: having gladiator fights. The guards were putting prisoner against prisoner
- 8:41Speaker 1: and just kind of watching them in the day room.
- 8:43Speaker 1: That's how all prisons should be.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what they were doing.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 3: And they were like, oh, it's inhumane.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And, you know, fools are getting beat up and beat
- 8:52Speaker 1: to death and shit. And, yeah, it's called Felon. And
- 8:57Speaker 1: Val Kilmer's in it along with Stephen Dorff.
- 8:59Speaker 3: I'm not a fan of Felon.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I'm not allowed to look it up.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good flick. But, yeah, no.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's funny because my brother watches a lot of those
- 9:10Speaker 1: prison shows and cops. But I can't watch them, man, because, like,
- 9:15Speaker 1: you know, your brain– Whatever you feed it, that's where
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's at.
- 9:20Speaker 3: That's what your body reacts to.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So after a while, if I'm watching prison shows, I'm
- 9:25Speaker 1: pretty much putting myself voluntarily into prison.
- 9:27Speaker 3: It's kind of weird, that process.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I lived in there for seven years.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Seven years? Oh, you did it for seven years?
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Gangster.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So, wham, right out of the Army, you went straight
- 9:40Speaker 1: to working in prisons, and then just comedy for how
- 9:43Speaker 1: many years now?
- 9:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Couldn't do comedy for 10 now.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I was in the reserve. So it was like, I was,
- 9:51Speaker 2: it was in both at the, you know, at, at
- 9:54Speaker 2: one point.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Right. Okay.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:56Speaker 2: And then also in the prison.
- 9:59Speaker 3: And then now you.
- 10:00Speaker 1: At, uh, you've been at the LA comedy club in
- 10:02Speaker 1: Laughlin for how many years now?
- 10:05Speaker 2: Two.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Two.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I just hit two at the end of December. And, uh,
- 10:09Speaker 2: freaking flies by man.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Dude.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:12Speaker 3: It's, it's like, it's like, Oh shit. Like, damn, it's a,
- 10:14Speaker 3: it's already, uh, two years. And, you know, cause it
- 10:17Speaker 3: goes by so fast, but then like you also, you're
- 10:19Speaker 3: there every night, every night. How's that?
- 10:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it's good. I mean, I have to change it
- 10:26Speaker 4: up all the time, you know, cause we get so
- 10:28Speaker 4: many locals that come in there.
- 10:29Speaker 2: So I can't do the same.
- 10:31Speaker 4: So it's, it's a good challenge for me, you know,
- 10:33Speaker 4: like lately I've been opening with my closer and then
- 10:36Speaker 4: I'm trying to force newer material to go up later. So, Like,
- 10:41Speaker 4: in my mindset, I'm like, okay, I know I'm closing
- 10:43Speaker 4: with this joke. Like, I have to make it funny,
- 10:45Speaker 4: you know. And I think it's expediting that process, which.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Is kind of cool.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Because stage time is, like, you know, to get your 10,000
- 10:56Speaker 1: hours to figure out, you know, your voice or whatever, whatnot.
- 10:58Speaker 3: And then also, too, like, you getting so much.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I mean, at one point, because I know that being
- 11:04Speaker 1: in Sacramento when I first started, we had an open
- 11:06Speaker 1: mic every night. We had two, maybe three open mics.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So two years in that scene at that time equated
- 11:12Speaker 1: to like seven years as a comic sometimes. That's why
- 11:17Speaker 1: New York comedy is so, they're so faster because there's
- 11:21Speaker 1: so many mics to get up and get time at
- 11:23Speaker 1: a night that you can just get better really quick.
- 11:27Speaker 3: It's one of those crazy things.
- 11:29Speaker 4: I was actually listening, I was trying to find an
- 11:31Speaker 4: old joke last night before I went to bed. So
- 11:33Speaker 4: I was looking at sets of my first three months
- 11:36Speaker 4: of being in Laughlin and And honestly, listening to my
- 11:39Speaker 4: set last night just two years ago kind of made
- 11:42Speaker 4: me cringe.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You know what I do, what I've been doing lately
- 11:47Speaker 1: is I've been going back and going into my, well,
- 11:50Speaker 1: I've done this before, but I'm getting really, I'm really
- 11:53Speaker 1: excited about it, is going back into old notebooks and
- 11:57Speaker 1: Facebook posts that I wrote where I was like, I'm
- 12:00Speaker 1: a way better writer now, I'm a way better comedian
- 12:02Speaker 1: than I was five years ago.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Exactly, yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 4: So, yeah, I've actually been bringing back older jokes. Like
- 12:08Speaker 4: I went about my dad. I was working at this
- 12:10Speaker 4: last week and I was like, wow, like it's actually
- 12:13Speaker 4: funny now.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And I didn't really change much.
- 12:15Speaker 4: It's just the timing and the pacing of the joke
- 12:18Speaker 4: is just completely different.
- 12:19Speaker 3: You know, isn't that a trip?
- 12:20Speaker 1: Like it's so like I love stand up science and
- 12:22Speaker 1: I love like if you like like this joke was
- 12:25Speaker 1: the same thing.
- 12:27Speaker 3: But all I do is just put a pause right here.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And then when I said and, I just elongated the and.
- 12:33Speaker 1: But it's got two laughs, and they're big laughs, too.
- 12:37Speaker 3: It's nuts. It's a fun thing. On stage, that's the
- 12:41Speaker 3: game that I like to play. That's where I have
- 12:43Speaker 3: fun at. Yeah.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Comedy is crazy, man. Especially listening to that last night.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I mean, shout out to LA Comedy Club for letting me.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Perform every night. They could have picked anybody to be here, bro.
- 12:59Speaker 4: I'm lucky, man.
- 13:01Speaker 3: That's funny. You're like, thanks for giving me a shot.
- 13:05Speaker 4: If not, I'd still be driving all over the freaking
- 13:09Speaker 4: country in my Tesla trying to get spots. Instead, I
- 13:13Speaker 4: get to be here every night. Sometimes I complain about it,
- 13:17Speaker 4: the repetitiveness of it. Then I sit back at the
- 13:19Speaker 4: end of the week and I'm like, man, I'm just
- 13:21Speaker 4: lucky to be back. I shouldn't be complaining about anything.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I'm very lucky to be here.
- 13:25Speaker 2: You know?
- 13:25Speaker 3: Yeah. I always think about that.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I always think about like a year, two comic Carlos,
- 13:29Speaker 1: what I, you know, like if I don't want to
- 13:31Speaker 1: take a gig, if I'm like upset about it, like,
- 13:33Speaker 1: Oh fuck them.
- 13:33Speaker 3: And I'm like, but you're too comic would have been like,
- 13:35Speaker 3: what you get to do. You get to do your
- 13:38Speaker 3: dream every.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Night and don't have to go to the office and
- 13:41Speaker 1: see Peter's dumb ass face on Monday.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You're fucking winning dog.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 13:46Speaker 3: But yeah, right.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Same way, especially now.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Like I felt like I've been, way more selective just because,
- 13:52Speaker 4: you know, I get a guaranteed pay to be here.
- 13:57Speaker 4: And then somebody wants me to drive to California for
- 13:59Speaker 4: 10 minutes. I'm like, I'm not three hour drive for
- 14:03Speaker 4: 10 minutes.
- 14:04Speaker 2: This doesn't make sense.
- 14:05Speaker 4: You know? So like, I kind of demand more, not
- 14:07Speaker 4: demand it, but I asked for more. Like if I'm
- 14:09Speaker 4: going to leave, it has to be this amount of time,
- 14:11Speaker 4: you know, I really more care about the time more
- 14:13Speaker 4: than the money. Sometimes not in a sense like that,
- 14:17Speaker 4: but like, it means more to me, I guess, you know?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because you start to equate it. You're like, well,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I'm going to be leaving my family for X amount
- 14:25Speaker 1: of days now when I don't need to. And I
- 14:28Speaker 1: could stay here and make the same amount of money
- 14:30Speaker 1: or even just do that. Like I get to sleep
- 14:32Speaker 1: in my bed. I get to be with my family.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So that's what really equates to– when you say time,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I totally get that because it's funny.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 1: My sponsor who says, he goes, the way we spell
- 14:47Speaker 1: love in this group, because there's a group of us guys,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, that he goes like the way we spell
- 14:51Speaker 1: love is T-I-M-E. He goes, because you spend time with
- 14:54Speaker 1: the things you love. And so that's what's always precious
- 14:57Speaker 1: and you can't get that back. But yeah, no, definitely,
- 14:59Speaker 1: definitely feel that. So with that being said, I also
- 15:03Speaker 1: want to jump onto this because this is the first
- 15:06Speaker 1: part of the show.
- 15:07Speaker 3: The second part of the show is just trivia.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And it can lead into other questions or other kind
- 15:11Speaker 1: of topics and whatever, whatnot. But we pretty much pin
- 15:14Speaker 1: you each week against every other comedy club. So you're
- 15:17Speaker 1: going to go against Plano and Chandler, Laughs Unlimited, their guests.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And it's just a fun thing. It's like no one
- 15:25Speaker 1: wins a prize. It's just kind of like you're the
- 15:27Speaker 1: king of the week if you win. So with that
- 15:31Speaker 1: being said, you ready for the challenge?
- 15:35Speaker 2: All right. I'm not the smartest guy in the world,
- 15:36Speaker 2: but let's do this.
- 15:38Speaker 3: All right. Okay, so.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Join the army.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Right? Let's see. I'm going to put the scoreboard up,
- 15:45Speaker 3: and we are. Okay, boom. Here we go. So, first
- 15:49Speaker 3: question is, what is the fourth number in pi?
- 15:53Speaker 2: I don't know, man.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Can I Google it?
- 16:07Speaker 1: He said, it's 10 a.m.
- 16:10Speaker 3: In the morning, Carlos. I just woke up. I was
- 16:13Speaker 3: going to skip this.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I don't even. Yeah, I'm done.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah. It's zero through nine. So you can try to
- 16:21Speaker 3: take a guess.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Four.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Boom. Four. You got it. That's it. No, wait, no.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:31Speaker 3: No, I'm not. I'm wrong. I'm wrong. It's one. Four.
- 16:37Speaker 2: What?
- 16:38Speaker 3: It's one. It's 3.141.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 16:45Speaker 4: I knew it started with a three, but it flopped.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I don't know, man.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Question number two. It's another kind
- 16:51Speaker 3: of math question, but not too hard. How many ounces
- 16:56Speaker 3: are in a pound? 16. Boom. There it is. All right.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Let me see. Okay. I forgot to do the. So, boom, boom.
- 17:04Speaker 3: There's your score. Okay.
- 17:05Speaker 4: So I should get a half since you said I
- 17:07Speaker 4: was right the first time.
- 17:08Speaker 3: I know. I got you all excited.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Um, okay.
- 17:15Speaker 3: So let's see. Um, uh, okay. Uh, let's see. I'm sorry.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Nikki's calling me right now. Uh, I can't, I can't,
- 17:26Speaker 3: I can't cause we're, we're on. Um, okay. So, okay.
- 17:29Speaker 3: So third, okay. That was the third question. Okay.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Um, Okay, third question is, name three artists that have
- 17:37Speaker 1: performed at the Super Bowl party halftime.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Usher, Kendrick Lamar, and Bad Bunny was Usher.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Nice. Got it. You got it. You're good. You're good.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Doing good, man. You're doing good. Okay, question number four.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Who was on the $ 2 bill?
- 18:00Speaker 4: I don't know that one.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I have a $ 2 bill right here. Can I cheat?
- 18:03Speaker 4: Oh, I fell.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I can't. It's on the floor.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I can't see that far.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Grab it. I want to see. Do you really have
- 18:11Speaker 3: a $ 2 bill? Then you get the point if you
- 18:13Speaker 3: have a $ 2 bill. Like, that's fucking amazing.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Somebody paid me at a show the other day with
- 18:19Speaker 4: a $ 2 bill.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Hilarious. That's so funny. Shit, you get that point no
- 18:24Speaker 3: matter what. That's funny. Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 4: It's a good camera.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Look at that.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that shit's crisp like that $ 2 bill.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's why I kept it.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Look at it. There's no bend, nothing.
- 18:38Speaker 3: That's freshly cut. That's from the mint right there, boy.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I was going to say, there's a trick question where
- 18:45Speaker 1: they go, what president's on the $ 100 bill?
- 18:50Speaker 3: And the trick question is because.
- 18:55Speaker 1: There's no president on the $ 100 bill. Benjamin Franklin was
- 18:58Speaker 1: never a president. So that's a good little trick question
- 19:00Speaker 1: for anybody who wants to fuck people up.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I think I've heard that one before. I wouldn't even
- 19:06Speaker 2: know who was on it anyway.
- 19:07Speaker 3: So you're a Yankee fan? Because I'm looking in the back, yeah.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Or just a baseball fan. Yeah, Yanks, okay.
- 19:15Speaker 2: That was my grandpa's Dodger picture in the corner. That's
- 19:17Speaker 2: why it's kind of there off on the side.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Oh.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Let's see. Okay, so, all right. So here's question number five.
- 19:26Speaker 3: What instrument does Animal play on the Muppets?
- 19:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I'll just guess. Violin. No, no, no, no.
- 19:35Speaker 3: The drums. He plays the drums. Oh, yeah, yeah. It
- 19:41Speaker 3: just goes back and forth.
- 19:41Speaker 4: When you said it, it brought back to it. Because
- 19:43Speaker 4: at first I was like, who the hell is Animal?
- 19:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:45Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking about.
- 19:48Speaker 4: I don't see what... what was that do that again.
- 19:56Speaker 1: What you got let's see um okay so the next
- 19:59Speaker 1: question is oh wait we got that okay so we're
- 20:03Speaker 1: on number six uh where is the mona lisa located.
- 20:09Speaker 3: No, no, no. Okay. It's located at the Louvre in Paris. Oh, okay.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I'm going to remember these forever now.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah. It's just interesting little tidbit facts and stuff like that.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Just like random shit.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 3: There he goes. Let's see. Who invented the telephone? How
- 20:29Speaker 3: about that one?
- 20:33Speaker 2: I don't know that one either.
- 20:34Speaker 3: I don't know who invented the telephone. It's Alexander Graham Bell.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Oh, I did that one too.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, right.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I'm very bad at remembering names or facts.
- 20:47Speaker 4: I've heard it before. If somebody says it, yeah. But
- 20:50Speaker 4: if somebody brings it up, I'm always like.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. That makes sense.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:55Speaker 4: I've heard it before, right? Or I've learned it before.
- 20:57Speaker 4: But I think if it's not in my immediate, like
- 21:03Speaker 4: what's going on or like, you know what I mean?
- 21:05Speaker 2: Then it's like, I don't know. Anyway, go ahead.
- 21:07Speaker 3: No, no, I get you. I get you.
- 21:09Speaker 1: This is going to suck, too, because it's another remembering thing.
- 21:13Speaker 1: What is Dave Chappelle's first comedy special? What's the title
- 21:17Speaker 1: of it?
- 21:19Speaker 4: Oh, man. I should know that one, too.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I love Dave Chappelle.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I don't know. It is Killing Him Softly.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Killing Him Softly.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 3: All right, so let me see.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Whoever goes against me is going to kick my ass.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Week two? I'm trying to think who else is in
- 21:37Speaker 1: week two. I can't even think at the moment. I
- 21:40Speaker 1: don't even know right now. Okay, so here's number nine.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Question number nine is, what is the capital of Louisiana?
- 21:47Speaker 1: It's a geography question.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:56Speaker 4: I learned that in fifth grade, dude.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I remember the little map.
- 22:00Speaker 4: It was a map.
- 22:04Speaker 1: It's funny, as a comic that we travel, it's so
- 22:06Speaker 1: funny that a lot of comics don't even know what
- 22:08Speaker 1: capitals there are in the cities. For the longest time,
- 22:11Speaker 1: no one knew that Carson City is Nevada's capital. They
- 22:15Speaker 1: thought it was either Vegas or Reno or some shit.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I thought it was.
- 22:21Speaker 4: I probably thought it was Reno, to be honest.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I don't know why I would think it was Reno.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I don't know what the Louisiana was. When you say it,
- 22:26Speaker 2: I'm going to be like, I, I should know that.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Uh, it's, it's, it's got a real, it's got a
- 22:30Speaker 3: weird name that I, uh, what you call you. So
- 22:34Speaker 3: he's kind of say it, um, off the X-Men. What
- 22:36Speaker 3: was the X-Men's dude's name? Gambit. Uh, he, uh, Baton Rouge.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Baton Rouge.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Um, it's a fun, it's fun to say in that accent.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Uh, okay.
- 22:46Speaker 3: So last question.
- 22:47Speaker 4: I'm going to remember it like that forever now. Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Right. Baton Rouge.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Uh, So, okay, here's the final question. It's Final Jeopardy.
- 22:55Speaker 1: You have three points. You could wager all three if
- 22:59Speaker 1: you can get this last question and hop you up
- 23:02Speaker 1: to six, or it'll go down to zero.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You can wager whatever you'd like. So would you like
- 23:06Speaker 3: to wager any points for this last question?
- 23:08Speaker 2: All of them. Let's go all in, baby.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Let's go all in. We fucking gamble. We get out here.
- 23:11Speaker 3: We do it. All right.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Even though I've gotten all of them wrong.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Not only you've gotten them wrong, but you don't even,
- 23:19Speaker 3: you're like, no. I don't even know. No guess. Okay,
- 23:21Speaker 3: so here we go.
- 23:23Speaker 1: What model number of iPhone did Apple skip? Because there's
- 23:38Speaker 1: an iPhone 1 and 2. What number did they skip?
- 23:49Speaker 2: I don't remember a 4. I don't know if that
- 23:52Speaker 2: would be my answer yet.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Technically, they never had Apple 1, right? Or iPhone 1?
- 24:03Speaker 3: It was just iPhone at that point. So it's just iPhone.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it. If we're going off numbers, it would
- 24:08Speaker 2: be iPhone 1 or 2.
- 24:13Speaker 4: I don't.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Remember that. I'm trying to think of that far back.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I've had iPhones ever since the 5. Or 6. Damn it.
- 24:32Speaker 2: What number did they skip?
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they skipped a number. They skipped a whole number.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Would one count as an answer?
- 24:47Speaker 3: One would count as an answer.
- 24:48Speaker 4: But that's probably not the right answer.
- 24:53Speaker 3: That's actually right. I should give you a point for that.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Did they skip.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Two? Go with that.
- 25:05Speaker 3: No, they didn't skip two. The Apple iPhone skipped nine.
- 25:12Speaker 1: They went from from eight and they jumped to iPhone
- 25:16Speaker 1: X because when iPhone first came out, it went from
- 25:20Speaker 1: just regular iPhone and it had that for two years.
- 25:24Speaker 1: And then it went from, then it went to iPhone two, three, four, five, six,
- 25:28Speaker 1: and then to celebrate the 10 year anniversary, the actual
- 25:30Speaker 1: 10 year anniversary, they jumped from eight to 10.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Well, in here I get a point because they didn't
- 25:37Speaker 2: have an iPhone one.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I didn't know that i think well i think i
- 25:44Speaker 4: had the six or the the little mini one the
- 25:47Speaker 4: last one that they had a mini i had that
- 25:48Speaker 4: one forever like years i had that i skipped like
- 25:52Speaker 4: four iphones with that little one and i think i
- 25:55Speaker 4: have the 15 but yeah i got i wouldn't know
- 25:58Speaker 4: if they skipped the nine.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah i got the 14 and i just i'm like
- 26:01Speaker 1: i'm i'm not Then they're going to change the– The charger.
- 26:06Speaker 3: The charger. So stupid. The third time. Get out of here.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I probably won't. I won't do it for a while.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I won't change it. I'm good.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I'm good.
- 26:15Speaker 1: But, okay, so awesome. Thank you for doing this. Do
- 26:18Speaker 1: you want to plug your dates that you're at the clubs?
- 26:20Speaker 3: Do you have those?
- 26:22Speaker 4: I know that I'm at the Plano location this Saturday, Sunday.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Oh, good, good, good.
- 26:28Speaker 2: On the 22nd. And then I think I'm at– I
- 26:32Speaker 2: have somewhere here.
- 26:34Speaker 4: I'm at Chandler on April 5th and then back in
- 26:37Speaker 4: San Diego in May.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I think May, early May, I think. Awesome.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 2: And then they just opened up their Detroit location.
- 26:46Speaker 4: So I'm going to wait a month for them to
- 26:49Speaker 4: be open and then I'm going to hit up the
- 26:50Speaker 4: bookers to see if I can get a date over there.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Well, I'm probably sure you will. I'm probably sure you can,
- 26:55Speaker 3: but you're in all the other ones, but it's good
- 26:58Speaker 3: to see you.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I'll probably see you.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I'll probably see you soon.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I'll see you in Plano because I'm going to be
- 27:05Speaker 1: in Dallas, and we'll probably hang out.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah, let's get some lunch or something.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Okay, cool.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Appreciate you having me. Sorry I'm an idiot and got zero.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Well, I got three points, but I lost them.
- 27:15Speaker 3: You did well. All right, man.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It was fun, dude. I appreciate it. It was a
- 27:19Speaker 2: good time. Thank you.
- 27:20Speaker 3: For sure. Let me see if I can.
- 27:25Speaker 2: We'll be right back.
