The Godfather Part II (1974) | Ep. 22 - Part 1
A sequel that's also a prequel, telling two stories at once and somehow surpassing a masterpiece. John, Westy, and Matt begin the story of Coppola's towering follow-up.
In Part 1 we cover the film's opening, director Francis Ford Coppola, the cast, and the second act — including Robert De Niro as the young Vito, Al Pacino's Michael hardening into something colder, and the dual timelines weaving together.
Michael's reckoning with his own family is still ahead. Part 2 closes in: crew, finale, reception, legacy. Out now.
