- 0:00Speaker 1: With coach with the hot pink phone cover.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I like that I had a black eye because by now, yeah, no,
- 0:07Speaker 2: she went to the garden last night with Jackson and
- 0:09Speaker 2: they got the.
- 0:10Speaker 3: And then you can't get them off.
- 0:11Speaker 4: Yeah, so that you scrub it and it's either going
- 0:13Speaker 4: to be like you have a big red, you know, Mark, So.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'll go with the I think we need the eye
- 0:20Speaker 1: black for the next game.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Football.
- 0:22Speaker 1: How about that nice, nice rebound by your young ladies
- 0:25Speaker 1: today and everybody seemed to contribute in some way, shape
- 0:28Speaker 1: or form.
- 0:28Speaker 4: M h.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a great team effort. I thought our
- 0:33Speaker 2: team defense is really good. I thought KK and Caitlin
- 0:36Speaker 2: did a really good job on Ransom. She's you know,
- 0:40Speaker 2: she's averages twenty points a game, and we forced her
- 0:43Speaker 2: into nine turnovers and she.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Had what did she end up with? Two of nine?
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, So I thought we did a really good job
- 0:50Speaker 2: team defensively against her. And that's what, you know, we
- 0:54Speaker 2: have to do when you're trying to take out the
- 0:56Speaker 2: best player on the other team, that's what you have
- 0:58Speaker 2: to do.
- 1:00Speaker 4: A little bit about Shelley and Zabelle coming off the
- 1:03Speaker 4: bench in the game earlier than usually seemed to do
- 1:06Speaker 4: what you were hoping for.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Morgan just has a knack for making things happen,
- 1:10Speaker 2: sometimes for us and sometimes for the other team. But
- 1:14Speaker 2: she just you know, she's not afraid to mix it
- 1:16Speaker 2: up rebound and her defense was pretty good today. She's
- 1:20Speaker 2: got a couple of steel so she's been doing that.
- 1:24Speaker 2: We're more consistently a practice and with the matchups today
- 1:28Speaker 2: it worked out perfectly. They you know, they only played
- 1:30Speaker 2: one big post player, so we needed some you know,
- 1:33Speaker 2: some uh forwards that could move and so matched up
- 1:38Speaker 2: a little bit better. And Allie, you know, she's a really,
- 1:41Speaker 2: really good shooter. She just hasn't shot the ball well
- 1:44Speaker 2: here you know in game situations. In practice, she shoots
- 1:47Speaker 2: the ball really well. So it's a matter of you know,
- 1:49Speaker 2: maybe giving her more of an opportunity to get used
- 1:52Speaker 2: to it and knocks them in.
- 1:53Speaker 3: But she's a really good shooter.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So as from Morgan, where do you think how far
- 1:58Speaker 1: she's come so far in the first cup of months
- 2:00Speaker 1: in her development.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Well, you know, she she missed a lot from June
- 2:05Speaker 2: through October with some injuries, so you know, we're just
- 2:09Speaker 2: getting to see her and kind of see some of
- 2:12Speaker 2: the stuff she can do. Within the last you know,
- 2:15Speaker 2: six weeks, eight weeks maybe, So it's been a it's
- 2:18Speaker 2: been a while before she was able to get on
- 2:22Speaker 2: the court and then consistently be on the court. So
- 2:25Speaker 2: certainly she gives us another active.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Forward, guard forward.
- 2:31Speaker 2: She's got guard skills, can knock in an open three,
- 2:33Speaker 2: so that can certainly help us.
- 2:35Speaker 4: What is say, the mindset coming off of an away game,
- 2:40Speaker 4: you know, against Notre Dame and getting pre prep for
- 2:42Speaker 4: this and knowing the stretch now finals behind them that
- 2:45Speaker 4: they can you got a good stretch coming up. So
- 2:47Speaker 4: where is that mindset as a coaching staff, how you're
- 2:49Speaker 4: looking for the team to get ready.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's a it's a mixed bag. When
- 2:53Speaker 2: you don't lose a game like we did at Notre Dame,
- 2:57Speaker 2: you don't want Notre Dame to beat you that night
- 3:00Speaker 2: and then the next couple nights, you know, so you
- 3:02Speaker 2: have to take that into consideration, But you also don't
- 3:04Speaker 2: want to forget why you lost. You know, within we
- 3:09Speaker 2: were within two or one at the end of each
- 3:12Speaker 2: quarter and we made some really you know, not smart plays,
- 3:16Speaker 2: So you know that's something that we have to continue
- 3:20Speaker 2: to kind of knock down in the number of you
- 3:23Speaker 2: know that we were smarter that you know, we're not
- 3:25Speaker 2: going to be the most talented team every time we
- 3:26Speaker 2: step on the floor, So we have to understand what
- 3:29Speaker 2: we have to do well and what we have to
- 3:31Speaker 2: do as a team to be able to beat a
- 3:34Speaker 2: team like Notre Dame.
- 3:35Speaker 3: They played really well, Hannah.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I always want to say hell Dalgo, and I know
- 3:40Speaker 2: that's not It's like Hidalgo.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You know, she's a terrific player.
- 3:45Speaker 2: We made some mistakes on her and our coverage, so
- 3:47Speaker 2: there are things that we could control that I think
- 3:50Speaker 2: you want to focus on and then move forward because
- 3:52Speaker 2: you don't want to lose this game, which is a
- 3:54Speaker 2: you know, in some ways more important because it's your
- 3:57Speaker 2: first conference game and now, you know, getting into this week,
- 4:01Speaker 2: we have Iowa State and and then USC, so we've
- 4:04Speaker 2: got two games that are going to be different.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Uh. The post player uh In.
- 4:10Speaker 2: That Iowa State has is a very she's a wide body,
- 4:14Speaker 2: and she's very skilled. She's talented, so and they shoot
- 4:18Speaker 2: a lot of threes, so we we've got our hands
- 4:20Speaker 2: full with that.
- 4:22Speaker 3: That's Bill's m O.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, he's you know, we've known him forever and
- 4:26Speaker 2: really good guy. I think they might be taking fewer
- 4:29Speaker 2: threes this year since they have I want to crooks, yes,
- 4:33Speaker 2: crook crooks. I want to call her cooks crooks. But yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 2: so they get the ball inside, probably a little bit
- 4:40Speaker 2: more than they have in the past. But she's a
- 4:42Speaker 2: she's a handful. You know, she's going to be hard
- 4:44Speaker 2: for us to guard. We we're gonna have to probably
- 4:46Speaker 2: use every foul we have to try to or you know,
- 4:50Speaker 2: our quickness, some of our size. She's not she's not
- 4:53Speaker 2: six five. You know, hopefully we can do something that
- 4:55Speaker 2: makes her have to shoot over us, verst go by us.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And but it's you know, it's going to be a challenge.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It's gonna be Amahegan Sun and hopefully it'll be a
- 5:04Speaker 2: lot of Yukon fans there, so it'll be a good environment.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Like you said, exams are over, but there's that fine
- 5:10Speaker 2: line between exams being over and then everybody anxious to
- 5:13Speaker 2: go home for Christmas. So the one good thing about
- 5:17Speaker 2: playing teams that are ranked in that stretch is that
- 5:19Speaker 2: you really you know that you can't mess around in
- 5:22Speaker 2: that situation. So hopefully the focus will will be where
- 5:25Speaker 2: it needs to be. So that's the plan.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Did you watch the game last night, the men's game.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I did a little bit yesterday.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It was Kathy or Emma's birthday, seventy birthday, so a
- 5:35Speaker 2: little party for so. I don't know if she cares
- 5:37Speaker 2: if I said her age, Sorry Kathy, but yeah, so
- 5:41Speaker 2: we had a party.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Had the game on a little bit.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Were you in Manchester?
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, so happy they won. So, you know what,
- 5:49Speaker 2: it's funny, so after we lose, it's the same thing
- 5:52Speaker 2: that you know, you try to, you try to. This
- 5:55Speaker 2: is what coaches say to other coaches to try it out.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You're never as as good as when you win. You're
- 6:00Speaker 2: never as bad as when you lose. You're always somewhere
- 6:03Speaker 2: in between. So you know, I said that to them
- 6:06Speaker 2: after they lost a couple in Hawaii, and I had to.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Say to myself after we lost it Notre Dame.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So we're not as bad as what we looked, and
- 6:14Speaker 2: we're not as good as when we win. We're always somewhere.
- 6:16Speaker 2: We're in between and some process and we're trying to,
- 6:19Speaker 2: you know, just continue to get better.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Here's that in life too. Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah, by the way, let me ask, I know what's
- 6:25Speaker 1: your go to at cafe. Al Right, do you have
- 6:27Speaker 1: a go to there?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Or I don't even want to tell you what my
- 6:29Speaker 2: go to is because it's not Italian.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Okay, get I get the burger.
- 6:34Speaker 2: It's amazing, and well they they do have gluten free pasta,
- 6:38Speaker 2: which I'm gluten free, so I enjoy that and the
- 6:42Speaker 2: tear me too, I love. Okay, so those are my
- 6:45Speaker 2: that would be my good Yeah, no, I'm not a
- 6:48Speaker 2: fish person.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Well, everyone else likes the chicken palm. Everyone loves that,
- 6:54Speaker 2: so I would say I would. I would say that
- 6:56Speaker 2: a lot of people like that, but I go with basic.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Sounds good to me, all Chris, thank you, we'll tuesday,
- 7:02Speaker 1: all right,
