- 1:18Sean McAllister: Yes, finally.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: On uh Friday the 26th, uh Benson's tour is coming through Las Vegas over at T-Mobile Arena.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: Allegiant Stadium.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: You got the tickets.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: I do have the tickets, but I haven't looked at them in a really long time.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: I think it's T-Mobile.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: I think it's T-Mobile also.
- 1:35Sean McAllister: Uh, but really excited for that.
- 1:37Sean McAllister: I was just messaging with a um a public relations colleague of ours and who's also going to the show.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: And she said, Ooh, I wonder how many backflips he's gonna do.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: It's always exciting to see in person.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: My friend went in Louisville, I think he was in or no, he was in Nashville, I think, and he saw him there, and he said it was great.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: So I think you're gonna have a great time.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Um, he's doing really well, and he's always fun to see perform live.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: So you will report back with that, I'm sure.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: Um, we have well, it's the first podcast uh of the official fall season.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: You and I went to the feast at Win Las Vegas just this past weekend, and that's part of the Revelry Culinary Festival, and we were commenting about how beautiful the weather is at night here now.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is, and what a spectacular night for that event, too.
- 2:25Sean McAllister: It's the the culminating event of uh the Revelry Festival.
- 2:30Sean McAllister: A whole bunch of chefs from around the country and around the world uh come together for this uh grand feast.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: There were um food selections from Mexico, the Mediterranean, uh Asia, and there was a big section uh representing the Four Sixes Ranch, which is a ranch, a real ranch that is owned by Taylor Sheridan, who's the guy behind uh Yellowstone, and then all the spin-off shows from that too.
- 3:00Sean McAllister: The meat was so good over there.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: It was delicious.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: Although I did see a video after the fact, and it looked like they had uh beef wellington.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, we had that.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: I had that.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: And I missed it.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Me and Robin had that.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Yes, it was delicious.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was good.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: It was good.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: And ribs.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: Did you have the ribs?
- 3:18Sean McAllister: I had the ribs, I had the brisket.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: It's hard to hit everything at those culinary you know, feasts.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: It is because you gotta walk around and you're like, wait a minute.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Where then you look at other people's like what's in front of them, and you're like, where'd you get that?
- 3:31Sean McAllister: I had several people come by our table and be like, hey, where's that?
- 3:35Sean McAllister: Where's that?
- 3:36Sean McAllister: What is that?
- 3:38Sean McAllister: But it was.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: It was delicious.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: Wynn always does a fantastic job.
- 3:42Sean McAllister: And uh hopefully we'll see Revelry back again next year.
- 3:46Dayna Roselli: And coming up here in just a few minutes, we're gonna talk about a new wedding chapel that is so cute here in Las Vegas.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: We're gonna talk about Alanis Morissette coming to Las Vegas and starting her residency.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: And I was saying to you, is it Alanis or Alanis?
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: I never know.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: I think I say Alanis.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: I think I do too.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: So hopefully that's how it what it is.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, Alanis Morissette.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she's great.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: We'll have that coming up, but first we want to talk NASCAR because we went up to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and we talked with the brand new senior VP and general manager.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: His name is Patrick Lindsay, and he is really excited about this upcoming race.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, as are a lot of NASCAR fans.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: It's always exciting when NASCAR comes to town.
- 4:27Sean McAllister: Uh, historically, uh, the weekend has brought in as many as a hundred thousand race fans.
- 4:34Sean McAllister: So that just shows the the power and pull of NASCAR.
- 4:39Sean McAllister: As a matter of fact, I believe uh they were talking while we were up at the Speedway about a new uh series on Netflix that they're really hoping is going to uh push a whole bunch of new energy into NASCAR and develop new NASCAR fans as well, kind of like with the F1 movie.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's great when you can get something like that, right?
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: I mean, it really does help because people do get interested, they learn more, they want to know more.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: So we've been to the race many times.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: It is so much fun up there at the Las Vegas uh motor speedway, and there is a lot to do, and we love that.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: So, why don't we air the story that we ran in our TV show with the general manager and new senior VP, as we mentioned, talking about what they're going to do this year to make it a little bit different than years past.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: What's great about a sport like this is that you know your experience can be anything you really want it to be.
- 5:35SPEAKER_03: We have experiences for families, we have experience for our campers, we have experiences for our NASCAR Ultimate fans.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: The experience here can really be for anyone to come out and enjoy.
- 5:46Sean McAllister: But don't worry, there is serious racing too.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: I feel like this is some of the most immersive entertainment that you can get because when those cars go by, your teeth actually rumble.
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: I was gonna say that, yeah, you it rumbles, right?
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: Your insides rumble as you hear that that uh that roar of that engine.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: The weekend kicks off on Friday afternoon with a parade of NASCAR hauler trucks at the Speedway.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: I mean, what's better to see all these great logo trucks you know coming around the outside of the property and for all the fans to see and to be a part of?
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: And our fan fest on Friday from 11 to 3 is free.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: Uh South Point's gonna have their Clydesdales and some free beer pouring and a concert by Tim Duggar, so we're gonna have a lot of stuff going on.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: Friday is free.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: Saturday you can buy an individual ticket and you can buy individual tickets for Sunday as well.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: It's not just a weekend package.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: And if you're coming to the race with your whole family, it won't break the bank.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: Tickets are very affordable, and we also have some great family packages as well.
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, kids can come as cheap as$10.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: Because also, our food partner here, our concessionaire, is gonna have value items at different concession stands, so you can come and find some very affordable food options for your family when you come here as well.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: The atmosphere here is so great, and it's all about the cars, right?
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: It's about the cars, it's about that rumble, it's about seeing these cars wrap around this track going 200 miles an hour.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: It's really awesome to come see, and we would encourage anyone to come out and take in the experience.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: Some really good deals.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: I mean, uh tickets as low as$10 for kids.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: Great.
- 7:19Sean McAllister: It's just such a great family option to bring your kids out there.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: And like uh Patrick was saying, they've got the concessions that are uh affordably priced with some packaged.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: Which is rare.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: It's very rare.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: But yeah, I know that they've um they're actively doing outreach, NASCAR and the Speedway to uh college students as well, having deals for college students and families, and there are there's uh pricing levels for everything from luxury all the way down to uh you know the the family packages that they have.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I think whenever we have actually gone in the past, like it's we were always commenting, like it's so organized, it's such a nice day out.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: You really get to see a lot of things up close.
- 8:07Dayna Roselli: And I don't know, it's kind of a fun, chill but entertaining day.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: It's got a little bit of everything, I guess is what I'm trying to say, you know, on site.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: Don't you feel that way?
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Like, I feel like a lot of times when I assumed, okay, like I've never been to NASCAR, I'm gonna go, and it's gonna be all this roaring and you know, all this stuff, and it's gonna be loud, and which it that does happen during the race, but there's a lot going on that's really fun and a little bit chill.
- 8:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, all the off-track entertainment, yeah, and you know, we get the flyover from Nellis Air Force Base, which is literally right next door to the Speedway.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: That was so cool.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a great experience all around.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: So, okay, NASCAR weekend, October 10th, 11th, and 12th.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 8:51Dayna Roselli: Up the Speedway.
- 8:52Sean McAllister: Don't forget, Friday is the free day, the free uh fanzone day with that NASCAR hauler parade.
- 9:02Sean McAllister: So keep that in mind if you want to take the family up there.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: That's from 11 in the morning until three in the afternoon.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Love it.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, Storybook Wedding Chapel just opened, and this is by the same owners that own the Graceland Wedding Chapel, one of the oldest here in Las Vegas, if not the oldest.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Um, but Storybook just opened, and this wedding chapel is so cute.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: We went up there and I love they restored this like building from 1928, and I feel like this is such a great option for people coming in to renew vows, get married, and I think it's gonna do well.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: Well, and I think that there's a a perception of Las Vegas wedding chapels being kind of kitschy.
- 9:43Sean McAllister: And Storybook is when we stepped inside.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: I s even think that I said to you, I was like, oh my gosh, this is so classy.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: It is, and so nice.
- 9:53Sean McAllister: So it's a great, like you said, a great option for people who are looking for a little bit of an elevated ceremony experience.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a it's a renovated mid-century style cottage.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: So imagine that.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: And you can also go to our YouTube because we'll have some video up from our TV show.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: Uh, but you know, it's really nice and cute.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: It's it is like stepping into a storybook.
- 10:18Dayna Roselli: I that's why they have the named it that, I'm sure.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Um, but they have a lot of different photo ops too.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Like they have this handmade floral wall, they had this uh one-of-a-kind 60-year-old stained glass window, an outdoor garden, uh, a little gazebo out there as well.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: So lots of different picture perfect spots all around.
- 10:39Dayna Roselli: And we did talk with uh Didi and Brendan, who own the storybook Wedding Chapel, a little bit about like why they decided to do this.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: And FYI, Brendan, actually is the Elvis at Graceland Wedding Chapel.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: And he's a good Elvis, he is a great Elvis, and he talked to us a little bit about the joy he gets from that.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: And I think it's great that they have both options now.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: So um, let's play an interview that we did with Didi and also Brendan.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: It's just it's so exciting.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm so busy at Graceland doing the amount of weddings.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, like I said, I've sang at we think 85,000 weddings over the years.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: That's a lot.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Uh so I I think it's gonna be nice just to kind of have traditional weddings where I can be part of it, but not have to be in a polyester onesie, if you will.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: But you know, so I'm excited about that.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: And seeing a different clientele, maybe because over there it's rock and roll, it's fun, it's it's what people, you know, they're going crazy.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: And here, uh, but but that that's both ends of the spectrum of weddings, you know, what people want.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: So we try to say we offer this, but then oh, two two over the top, come to this chapel.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: You know, it's a it's a great alternative, and I'm I'm just thrilled.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Every every couple already has a love story.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: We just want to be their next chapter.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: How long did it take to restore this?
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: Because I know this is what a building back from 1928?
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: We've been working at turning this into a wedding chapel for over a year.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So when we first purchased it, uh we rented it out to a wedding dress rental company.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: And then uh she stayed here for maybe five years, and then that's when we decided it's time, it's time to really start focusing in on the traditional ceremony or the chapel.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: And so um that's when it began.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: And so it's been a year of uh hard work, labor of love, but now it's a reality.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: And tell me a little bit about the vision of it.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: I know you say a little bit more of a traditional, but what how do you see you know this becoming an offering in in Las Vegas?
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: If somebody's looking for whatever, this is the place to go.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: That's a great question because um, you know, I grew up in eastern Kentucky and it's always been very important to me for every bridegroom to have the wedding of their dreams.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: And so that is what Storybook is about.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Regardless of your budget, this is the place for you.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: We will customize anything you want and make it special any way you want it.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: So uh I'm just really happy to be able to offer that service.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: And you guys already own Gla Graceland.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: We do.
- 13:13Dayna Roselli: For how long have you been?
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: So we've owned Graceland for over 20 years.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: And it is a very successful, wonderful business that that we are both proud of, Brennan and I.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: And that's not going away.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Oh no, that is not going away.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: No, it just keeps getting uh busier and busier, and we're so grateful for that.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: That's why it was time.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: It was time to do a traditional ceremony so that we can offer something different than we already offer.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Elvis over there, traditional here.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: And you guys have had, I know a lot of celebrities get married at Graceland too.
- 13:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, this is Vegas revealed, so we need to talk about it.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: Well, the biggest celebrity of all is John Bon Jovi.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: And the truth is, that is why we even own the wedding chapel.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, one day Brendan and I were trying to decide what to do for the day, and he said, Where do you want to go?
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: And I said, I want to go to see where John Bon Jovi got married.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: We walked in the door and they offered him a job immediately.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: And a few years later, they offered the chapel to us.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: And uh the rest is is is just history.
- 14:11unknown: Wow.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: And they're close to each other too, which is nice.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: You don't have a long walk to work.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not at all.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: We can go back and forth.
- 14:19Dayna Roselli: Do you guys get really busy still on those specific days throughout the year?
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, because I know we're the wedding capital and people always look for significant numbers.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes, the numbers matter to a lot of people.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: And then Valentine's Day, any holiday, Halloween actually is going to be amazing this year.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: Um, New Year's Eve, Christmas Event.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: So, yes, holidays and special numbers, they make a difference.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I like that Dee Dee said she, you know, has different packages where um, you know, there's a different uh, you know, price points for everyone.
- 14:52Sean McAllister: And she wants to she wants it to be affordable for anyone who wants to go there.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: Uh I think that's great.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: So welcome, Storybook, to Las Vegas.
- 15:01Sean McAllister: Well, Storybook is obviously for uh the lovers, and maybe Ed Sheeran is for lovers too.
- 15:08Sean McAllister: He's got a lot of really good love songs, and people love to play his music at weddings.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: Uh, Ed is coming back to Vegas, Allegiance Stadium.
- 15:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, remember last time he was here, he had to cancel because the structuring or whatever on the setup of his whole stage.
- 15:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, there was a whole issue with like the surface that the stage was set up on was slipping a little bit.
- 15:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:31Sean McAllister: And he had a stage that looked kind of like a spider.
- 15:33Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:34Sean McAllister: And like the legs had to be sturdy and they weren't, so he had to call it off.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: It like very last minute.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: Very last minute.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: People were upset, but then he did like some fan stuff and signed autographs.
- 15:45Dayna Roselli: So I mean, I'm glad he's getting a redo.
- 15:47Dayna Roselli: Saturday, July 18th, 2026.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: So next summer, um, he will be stopping at Allegiant Stadium.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: We're excited to have him here.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: He was just at iHeart, and I think he also did uh somebody was saying he performed like a private concert at one of the conventions over the weekend as well.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: So um always a joy to see Ed Sheeran.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: He just, you know, he's a he's a fun guy, he's a nice guy.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: And like you said, a lot of his music is is romantic.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: It's also upbeat.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: And so um it'll be good to have him back in Las Vegas again.
- 16:17Dayna Roselli: And let's not forget about Alanis Morset.
- 16:20Dayna Roselli: She's starting her new residency over at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace on October 15th.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are going.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: We're excited to tell you how it is.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: But Alanis has quite a catalog of hits because um we were looking at uh the release that came out and you know reminded us that she is starting her residency soon.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: So I turned on the Alanis catalog, and it was hit after hit after hit as I was driving home from the gym.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: What is that?
- 16:45Sean McAllister: Uh the Jagged Little Pill?
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's a popular pill.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: I mean, every song's a bit of a every single song.
- 16:50Sean McAllister: I remember listening to that non-stop on loop right on my portable disc man back in the day.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was great.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: And you know, some of her current, more current stuff I like as well.
- 17:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, I'm sure, you know, most people know her for the for the big hits back from that day.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: But um, it's gonna be great to see what she does at the you know, in the Coliseum.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think when it was first announced, it's like, okay, Alanis at the Coliseum.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Hmm.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: And then you're like, wait a minute, that that makes sense.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: It'll be great to see what she does.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: And I don't know.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Just something different.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: I mean, we're you know, I feel like you know, you're thinking, you know, Adele and you know what I mean, Rod Stewart and Celine.
- 17:31Dayna Roselli: What are you looking up?
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: I can tell you're distracted.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: You've been looking up something.
- 17:34Sean McAllister: Oh no, I was just getting an email back about something we're gonna talk about later.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Okay, got it.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: I was like, wait, I don't want to like if you're trying to find a factoid, I thought maybe you had something.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: No, but uh last time Alanis uh performed here in Vegas, she was over at the Pearl at the Palms, I believe.
- 17:50Sean McAllister: And that concert, it seemed like everybody in Las Vegas went to that show and I didn't completely sold out, but people loved it.
- 17:59Dayna Roselli: I know, yeah, that's great.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: Um now is she uh because I haven't really followed her for a little while, and I'm wondering, is she still doing shows currently on the circuit, or is this like a big comeback?
- 18:14Sean McAllister: No, she's been out on tour.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: I don't, she's not like touring continuously, but uh she has been out on tour.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: This is her first Vegas residency, though, where she's doing a a good chunk of shows here.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean she she has some hits.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: So and she's do yeah, she's doing a bunch of shows.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: I was just looking October 15th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, 24, 25, November, she's back.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: So uh good for her.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: We will let you know how it is.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: I I'm thrilled to go see I I don't know, I'm just thrilled to kind of see someone different that hasn't performed here before on a regular basis.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, our residency.
- 18:50Sean McAllister: And you know, this kind of ties back in with all the nostalgia that's happening in Las Vegas right now, too, because she's kind of of the same era as you know the Backstreet Boy when the backstreet a little before Backstreet Boys, but you get the idea.
- 19:07Sean McAllister: It brings us back to our childhoods.
- 19:09Sean McAllister: Definitely.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, we gotta talk about a couple abrupt endings, I guess we could say, right?
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: Um, we got word on Twitter that Emmett's had closed.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: Um, and then we saw a bunch of people chiming in saying, Oh yeah, and then I went to open table, and we're talking about Emmett's restaurant over at Fashion Show.
- 19:30Sean McAllister: And this is a restaurant by uh famed football player Emmett Smith.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we done an interview with him and and run it here on the podcast.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Um it's been open for a little while now, but anyway, uh so there's all this chatter on Twitter.
- 19:42Dayna Roselli: So I went to open table.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: I noticed that you could not book a table, so I'm like, hmm, sounds like it is closed.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: And then now apparently people are saying there's notices on the door, saying rent wasn't paid and all sorts of stuff.
- 19:54Dayna Roselli: I don't know what's going on, but it's closed.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's closed.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: That's all it's like.
- 19:57Sean McAllister: The doors are not opening.
- 19:59Sean McAllister: So it's unfortunate news.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: We don't like to we don't like to have to report that things shut down, especially in that manner.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: Um, but it's I mean it can be a tricky spot.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: It's a tricky spot at Fashion Show.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: And some one of my friends just wrote me the same.
- 20:17Dayna Roselli: They just, oh man, Emmett's closed, because we used to go there time to time.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I know it's a hard spot.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: And she was like, It's a hard spot.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: I'm like, it is.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: We worried about that when we talked to him and he said he was opening it, and and we thought, okay, you know, it's it's a great spot, you know, that faces right across the street from the wind, faces the wind.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: They had the patio, it's a big space, a beautiful space, but it's difficult to get the foot traffic.
- 20:43Sean McAllister: It is.
- 20:44Sean McAllister: And if you're driving there, like if you're a local and you're driving there, it's not the it's not super easy to park down there at fashion show and get up out to the restaurant plaza.
- 20:56Sean McAllister: Like it's a long journey.
- 20:58Dayna Roselli: And it's worse and worse.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: I went to the mall on Saturday.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: I drove around for I don't know how long.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: Then I was gonna valet because I thought valet there was free, and then it was fifteen dollars.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: And uh it used to be free, so I don't know if it's because it was a busy day or what the deal is, but anyway, you're right, it's packed and it's not easy an easy in and out, and that's that's a problem.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: And I think that does it make a difference.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, if you're going to do like a day of shopping and you're committed to it, like you'll drive around and find that spot.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: But if you're just wanting to go to dinner, you know, you're not circling around for an hour if you've got a reservation at a certain time or you wanna you're hungry.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: Well, no, and here's the thing if you're going in there for one of the restaurants, you're gonna use the underground parking because that's the closest parking option to the the plaza restaurants.
- 21:49Sean McAllister: But I when I go there, I usually park around back and use the uh the back entrance and exit onto like Dean Martin is the road back out.
- 22:00Sean McAllister: And uh behind it or industrial.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: And that's just easier for me to get in and out of, but that's a long haul to walk from that end all the way out to the front.
- 22:11Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: That's the parking situation at fashion show.
- 22:15Dayna Roselli: But there are plenty of restaurants that do very well there.
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: I think it just depends on how long you've been there, name recognition, where it's placed in that area.
- 22:23Dayna Roselli: So Emmett's was a little tough.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: Um, we enjoyed interviewing and chatting with Emmett so much, and he really wanted you know it to be successful, obviously.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: And he was excited about having a restaurant here in Las Vegas.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: So maybe they'll just make some adjustments, maybe they'll move it, and we'll we'll keep everyone posted.
- 22:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 22:39Sean McAllister: If we hear anything, you will hear it as well.
- 22:42Sean McAllister: Uh, another uh piece of news that we just got, Terry Fader, who's been a long time headliner here in Las Vegas, is uh packing up his show, and he's going out on the road.
- 22:55Sean McAllister: He's going to be performing with uh different symphonies across the country and around the world, uh, doing some TV appearances.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: And uh this is what I was uh getting information on.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: Um and it sounds like for now, Terry is taking a break on performing here in Las Vegas, focusing on touring and out-of-town opportunities.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: Um if anything changes on that front, we'll let you know as well.
- 23:29Sean McAllister: But for the time being, Terry Fader is ending his Vegas performances.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we did so many, you know, great interviews with Terry through the years and and one recently when he started this show over at the Strat.
- 23:42Dayna Roselli: But um, you know, he uh uh is taking the final bow over with the strat.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: Um we're recording this on a Tuesday, September 23rd, and this is the day.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: So we just found out.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: We did hear a little something over the weekend, but we weren't sure.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: And so, yeah, so no more shows for Terry.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: And um then uh, like you said, he'll he'll be out doing other things.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: And I I just I don't think that's the end of Terry here in Las Vegas.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: I know he lives here, he loves it here, he loves a community, and so I think he'll go do his thing, and like you said, you know, probably maybe be back at another hotel or something.
- 24:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, hope so, because I know he has a lot of fans and he's been a part of the Las Vegas entertainment community for so many years now.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you were saying, what did you what did you say earlier where you made a little I said, well, it looks like there's a bunch of dummies out of work.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: And we're talking about his his puppets, his dummies.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: It's Vicky, Vicky the Cougar.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: I think that Terry should use that in his next bit.
- 24:44Dayna Roselli: Because it's a good one line.
- 24:45Sean McAllister: Oh, for the comeback, he could say Terry Fader, putting dummies to work.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, I love it.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: Hey, we're interviewing the Miz tomorrow.
- 24:55Dayna Roselli: And when I say tomorrow again, recording on a Tuesday, on Wednesday, um, the I don't know much about the Miz, but I'm excited.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: WrestleMania is coming back to Las Vegas.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: Last year we interviewed the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, and this year we're getting the opportunity to interview the Miz.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, The Miz.
- 25:11Sean McAllister: Longtime viewers of MTV, back when MTV had like stuff on there.
- 25:16Sean McAllister: Uh the Miz was on the real world back in the day.
- 25:19Sean McAllister: And then that's where you could start to see his passion for wrestling uh come about.
- 25:25Sean McAllister: And then he ended up joining the WWE, and now he's a a show host, and he's really uh broadened his entertainment career.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: So it's gonna be fun to to talk with him and get uh get his view on having WrestleMania here in Las Vegas again.
- 25:44Dayna Roselli: Well, because when we went to the last WrestleMania, he wasn't a part of it, right?
- 25:48Sean McAllister: I don't believe so.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: I think and I think I did just say something like uh see something that he's returning.
- 25:55Dayna Roselli: So maybe he did take off for some TV.
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: Oh, he was hosting a show.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: I think he took a break.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: So okay, here Sean goes to the Google.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: He was hosting uh a show and and like oh, it was uh um they brought back a show.
- 26:11Sean McAllister: Uh he the host of American Gladiators.
- 26:14Dayna Roselli: That was it.
- 26:15Dayna Roselli: That was coming back, and he was going to host that.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: And so I think maybe he took a break, and so he's back.
- 26:20Dayna Roselli: So it's the big return.
- 26:21Dayna Roselli: This is gonna be a good interview.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: I love interviewing the WWE wrestlers, it's so much fun.
- 26:26Sean McAllister: And remember American Gladiators back in the day, too?
- 26:29Sean McAllister: I feel like on Saturday morning I would watch that all the time.
- 26:32Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: After cartoons, American Gladiators would come on, and it was like storm and zap and all that, blaze, and I don't remember that era.
- 26:43Sean McAllister: Oh, it was so fun.
- 26:44Sean McAllister: Like the jousting with the big foam jousting things up on the big platforms.
- 26:51Sean McAllister: American Gladiators was great.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, well, it's back.
- 26:54Dayna Roselli: There you go, and it's hosted by the Miz.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: By the Miz.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: So we're excited to talk with The Miz about all things wrestling and gladiators, all of it.
- 27:02Dayna Roselli: All of it.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: Um, all right, let's do some tips.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: It's really hard to do tips without talking about all these Vegas deals because everyone's asked for it.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: Cut the prices, and there's just like so many to mention.
- 27:17Sean McAllister: There's a ton to mention.
- 27:18Sean McAllister: As a matter of fact, we're just ending uh the week of Las Vegas as a destination being on sale.
- 27:27Sean McAllister: Just about every property in Las Vegas had some sort of deal that they were offering.
- 27:33Sean McAllister: That sale uh was through the 26th.
- 27:37Sean McAllister: So if you're listening to this on Friday, you still have a chance to get in on it.
- 27:40Sean McAllister: Um after the first day, because this drops Thursday.
- 27:44Sean McAllister: Um but after the 26th, you're out of luck on the five day sale.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: However, the fabulous five day sale.
- 27:51Sean McAllister: Fabulous five day sale.
- 27:53Sean McAllister: Uh but you should bookmark visitlosvegas.com slash deals because we've noticed uh that there have been they've continually been posting various deals up on that section of the Visit Las Vegas website, and it's worth checking out if you're coming to Las Vegas planning a trip.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: Um Yeah, because we saw some um before the sale, the five-day sale started.
- 28:21Dayna Roselli: We noticed that there were a lot of deals on there already, you know, like buy one, get one free, and a lot of for a lot of attractions, some of the shows.
- 28:31Dayna Roselli: Um there were some waived fees on things.
- 28:34Dayna Roselli: So keep, like Sean said, keep going there because I think that page will still exist after this.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: But this five-day sale has a lot more to do.
- 28:43Dayna Roselli: Well, there's a big presence of resorts having deals, and really almost every resort is on here with a deal.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: And we're talking about like um 50% off room rates.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: You know, I'm just looking at like 30% off the M down in the southern part of Las Vegas.
- 29:01Dayna Roselli: Um, there is there are deals like up to 25% off room rates and a$100 daily food and beverage credit at Vidara.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: And the list goes on and on.
- 29:11Dayna Roselli: Literally, almost every hotel has a deal going on, but that part I think is gonna go away.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: Some of the attraction deals may change up, but they'll keep the page you know updated.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:21Sean McAllister: And be sure to check out the deal pages of individual uh resorts on the Las Vegas strip as well, because um individual resorts may be continuing various offerings uh for however long they see fit as well.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: Um, one other deal we did want to let you know about is a deal that Caesars Entertainment is doing for Las Vegas locals.
- 29:49Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 29:49Dayna Roselli: And this is going for a little while till October 30th.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: So um they put out a press release and actually sent us a little kit with all the information, but they're launching a 25% off food and beverage discount and complimentary self-parking for eight of the Las Vegas resorts, including the Miracle Mile shops, Planet Hollywood Garage, which you usually have to pay for.
- 30:13Dayna Roselli: And this is again for Nevada residents, and it's Sunday through Thursday.
- 30:17Dayna Roselli: Um, from it started September 21st and goes to October 30th.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: Um, you can enjoy that again, that 25% off discount at more than 100 restaurants, bars, and lounges across Caesars Entertainment's um eight Las Vegas properties.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: And so, like that includes like the Bacchanal buffet that's so popular over at Caesars Palace and Gordon Ramsay at Hera's, and the list goes on.
- 30:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh there are, as we have said, there are deals out there, you gotta take advantage of them.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: And I did see um some people on social media saying that that if they planned their trip to Vegas already, they were canceling it and rebooking it during this five-day fabulous deal.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: And one woman uh commented that she saved 200 bucks, so she was happy.
- 31:04Sean McAllister: I bet she was happy.
- 31:05Sean McAllister: That's great.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: So it is great, you know.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: Um, I love that.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: That's so cool.
- 31:09Dayna Roselli: And these food and beverage credits are great too, because things are expensive.
- 31:12Dayna Roselli: It's nice to have that little credit to at least get like a free meal or you know, you use it for some free lunches along the way during the week and and things like that.
- 31:22Dayna Roselli: Everything helps, everything helps.
- 31:24Dayna Roselli: Hey, big shout out to Glindo Law, our title sponsor.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: If you want to get a hold of them and see if you are owed compensation or more compensation from your insurance company.

- 31:57Dayna Roselli: The number is 800-251-1533.

- 32:22Dayna Roselli: So if you download Vegas Near Me without having to do anything besides download it, and then you can just start uh surfing around, then you'll see the deals page come up and you can look at some pretty good discounts over there.
- 32:35Sean McAllister: Thanks for joining us this week.
- 32:37Sean McAllister: We will be back next week with episode 290, inching closer to 300.
