- 1:04Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 1:05Speaker 6: I've been up all night with my dog, so I
- 1:08Speaker 6: have no makeup.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I've been up all night too, and I don't have
- 1:13Speaker 3: a dog, so you know, we just want to get
- 1:16Speaker 3: right into a Brandy, you have been so transparent in
- 1:20Speaker 3: the last few years about your health struggles.
- 1:22Speaker 4: First off, of course, is how are you doing today? Seriously?
- 1:26Speaker 5: I'm good, Like I have.
- 1:29Speaker 6: What's it called tonightis or something in my ear so
- 1:32Speaker 6: to it's ringing constantly, so I'm almost used.
- 1:38Speaker 5: To hear this for me, But it's hard to hear people.
- 1:43Speaker 5: And my friend, one of my friends, can't hear out
- 1:45Speaker 5: of his.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Lat deer, and I always get frustrated with him because
- 1:48Speaker 6: I would have to like repeat everything.
- 1:50Speaker 5: And now I'm like, I was such a bitch. I
- 1:53Speaker 5: am so sorry. I cannot like I literally a bitch.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Brandy Karmen is the bench is He's like I told you.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, Crandy, I have to share with you.
- 2:04Speaker 2: My daughter went through five years of hell and had
- 2:08Speaker 2: no idea what was wrong with her. And she actually
- 2:11Speaker 2: wrote a book about tatas and it was her breast implants.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Can you share with us your journey?
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, honestly, it all started. I just started
- 2:22Speaker 6: feeling sick about three years ago, and it was all
- 2:25Speaker 6: like all my symptoms are really in my neck and
- 2:28Speaker 6: my head and not in my.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Head but my face.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So she says, yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 4: And now it's trouble to your ears.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Right, like the whole body's going.
- 2:41Speaker 6: But then my joints, like I felt like I was
- 2:44Speaker 6: one hundred years old, Like I would go to sit
- 2:47Speaker 6: down and it would take me like five minutes to
- 2:51Speaker 6: stand up, and it was just like I ate, I
- 2:57Speaker 6: can't even explain it. I just felt like I had
- 3:02Speaker 6: brain fog.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I still can't. It's coming back to me, so excuse me.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It's exactly what Brittany did.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Yeah, and how did you decide that the issue?
- 3:11Speaker 3: What made you decide to have the breastplant implants taken out?
- 3:16Speaker 5: Well, I mean they were making me sick.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Did you know that was the cause? Though? How did
- 3:21Speaker 1: you figure that out? Or you didn't?
- 3:22Speaker 4: No, I mean it could have been menopause, It could
- 3:24Speaker 4: have been anything.
- 3:25Speaker 6: No, I had no idea, but I was go. I
- 3:27Speaker 6: went to twenty one doctors and not so I'm telling
- 3:31Speaker 6: you two.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Hundred thousand dollars.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Like I had insurance with the people at my insurance like.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Kaiser, let's just say sucks.
- 3:40Speaker 6: So I was like paying out of pocket to see specialists,
- 3:45Speaker 6: infectious disease doctors, you know when we're toologists, like every
- 3:49Speaker 6: doctor you can think of I.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Saw, and no one suggested it was the breast implants.
- 3:54Speaker 5: No, because I had mammograms that were fine.
- 3:57Speaker 3: And did they anyone say menopause or just a the
- 4:00Speaker 3: natural process of aging or anything.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Nothing?
- 4:02Speaker 5: No, No, because it wasn't.
- 4:04Speaker 6: It came on like overnight and I had like I
- 4:08Speaker 6: had weird lumps in my neck, like hard lumps. That's
- 4:12Speaker 6: like really really hard lumps. I still have them because
- 4:16Speaker 6: it's going to take some time for them to go away. Yes,
- 4:19Speaker 6: I can't explain, like the brain fog, the fatigue.
- 4:24Speaker 5: I would get up.
- 4:25Speaker 6: And go into the pantry and not know why I
- 4:27Speaker 6: was in the pantry.
- 4:28Speaker 3: But see what I'm saying, Brandy, I hear you. Obviously
- 4:31Speaker 3: you and Susan Starter have a lot in common.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Everything she's saying.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Kathy, I watched, but when I went through menopause, the
- 4:38Speaker 3: brain fog, that getting up and going to the room,
- 4:40Speaker 3: Why the hell am I hare?
- 4:41Speaker 4: I don't remember?
- 4:41Speaker 1: It's different.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Yeah, no, no, no, yeah, menopause is like hot flashes and
- 4:48Speaker 6: nice threats and.
- 4:49Speaker 1: All the fun was.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I did it. It was completely different from me.
- 4:53Speaker 5: And by the way that was done in COVID, so
- 4:56Speaker 5: I knew it wasn't that.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And when you had them taken out, did you feel
- 5:02Speaker 2: immediate something? Because my daughter felt immediately. I did a
- 5:06Speaker 2: thousand times better, not one hundred percent, but no, no,
- 5:09Speaker 2: a thousand times better.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 6: So I'm two weeks out right now. But the first
- 5:15Speaker 6: week I was like up, I like I would sit down,
- 5:18Speaker 6: I would jump up.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I was going in the kitchen.
- 5:20Speaker 6: I was actually doing too much because I was so
- 5:22Speaker 6: excited to be moving right, and he's like, you have
- 5:27Speaker 6: to stop. Like, I'm like, no, you know, Like for me,
- 5:31Speaker 6: all of my symptoms were on my left side, really,
- 5:34Speaker 6: but my right breast was ruptured and had like leaks,
- 5:39Speaker 6: and I had silicon and both my like both under
- 5:44Speaker 6: my arms and both my arms like silicon in my nose. However,
- 5:48Speaker 6: like the mammograms were saying you're fine, so I like,
- 5:54Speaker 6: literally not that long ago. Was like to my friend James,
- 5:58Speaker 6: who's gay, because the only love I get right.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Now, Damn, I was gonna ask if you would fix
- 6:03Speaker 3: me up when I heard a man's name was fix
- 6:05Speaker 3: me up with him?
- 6:06Speaker 6: Never mind, you don't want him. He to tell you
- 6:09Speaker 6: everything that's wrong with you.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Oh and that's a long list, Brandy, you have no idea.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Well, he would rattle it off, trust me, no, And
- 6:19Speaker 6: I said, James, because he's obsessed with boobs. And I
- 6:22Speaker 6: always tell him, I'm like, I don't think your mom
- 6:24Speaker 6: breastfed you long enough.
- 6:27Speaker 5: That's a problem. He's always wanted to take a picture.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Where his hands are over my boobs. I'm like we
- 6:33Speaker 6: actually did it one.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Day, but I was just like why why? And so
- 6:38Speaker 5: I asked him. I said, James, is my right boob
- 6:41Speaker 5: look a little bit smaller than my left boob?
- 6:45Speaker 6: And He's like, yes, I go and feel it, and
- 6:49Speaker 6: I go, it's feeling a little bit harder. This is
- 6:52Speaker 6: My boobs were fine, like nothing.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So I.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Got a new manager and I told her about my
- 7:00Speaker 6: problem and she told me that she had fifteen breasts
- 7:03Speaker 6: and plant surgeries. She almost died from it. It took
- 7:06Speaker 6: her like five years. She goes, you need to get
- 7:10Speaker 6: a sonogram, like tomorrow. Yeah, And so I went to
- 7:14Speaker 6: this new place that like, usually sonograms give you six
- 7:18Speaker 6: thousand images, this one gives you thirty thousand images.
- 7:23Speaker 3: You feel like I haven't asked, Wendy, do you feel
- 7:25Speaker 3: like you sort of have earned your medical degree by now?
- 7:29Speaker 3: You know?
- 7:29Speaker 6: My friend told me, she's like, if you know, if
- 7:32Speaker 6: you're on antibiotics to longly stopped working.
- 7:34Speaker 5: I'm my girl, I'm a doctor. I'm very aware of that.
- 7:38Speaker 6: At this point, I'm like, I kind of I've been
- 7:41Speaker 6: down every medical rabbit hole there is.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Wow, it's amazing. So so clearly you're beginning to feel better.
- 7:48Speaker 3: And this podcast, as you probably know, is all about
- 7:51Speaker 3: relationships and finding love. In chapter two, which we are
- 7:55Speaker 3: all in our chapter two, I'm.
- 7:57Speaker 1: On chapter three, Chapter three.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Well, okay, you're on Jepter three. I so we all
- 8:05Speaker 3: have our our you know, Susan's divorced. You're divorced. We're
- 8:08Speaker 3: going to get into that a little bit. I'm a widow,
- 8:11Speaker 3: which is sorry, yeah, thank you, it's in fact, today
- 8:14Speaker 3: is the seventh anniversary of his death, and he died
- 8:17Speaker 3: by suicide seven years ago today.
- 8:19Speaker 5: God, that's for I'm so sorry.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Thank you, but this is about you today.
- 8:22Speaker 5: It was about you today too.
- 8:24Speaker 4: That's awesome day.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you. I appreciate it. But I got
- 8:28Speaker 3: some great news today, and that's how life is. So
- 8:30Speaker 3: I'm doing great. I want to know, though, how I've
- 8:34Speaker 3: had some health issues since I've been single and going
- 8:37Speaker 3: through it by myself.
- 8:38Speaker 4: You know, I have three grown children. You have two
- 8:40Speaker 4: young sons.
- 8:41Speaker 3: But I want to know how has it been going
- 8:43Speaker 3: through this experience as a single woman with a gay
- 8:46Speaker 3: friend who just wants to put his hands on your toe.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And she mentioned her best friend was, you know, her
- 8:50Speaker 2: gay friend. At least I thought she had so much. Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 2: you know, and when you go healthy, did your ex
- 8:56Speaker 2: husband come to support you at all? Or was he?
- 9:00Speaker 1: No? No, your sons.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Noh yeah, my son's have been they're eighteen and twenty two,
- 9:07Speaker 6: so they're grown.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I mean they're they're oh trust me, trust me branding
- 9:10Speaker 3: not grown.
- 9:11Speaker 4: They are not grown.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Boy, My brains are not frontal lobes are not fully
- 9:15Speaker 3: developed by the twenty four So start marking your calendar.
- 9:19Speaker 6: No, I mean, but they're eighteen and twenty two. Was
- 9:22Speaker 6: like my twelve and fifteen, you know what I mean?
- 9:25Speaker 6: Like the boy, these kids too right now, they're not
- 9:29Speaker 6: like developed.
- 9:31Speaker 5: I can't explain it.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Are you saying?
- 9:33Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:33Speaker 3: But then you know what, They'll get there and then
- 9:35Speaker 3: they'll be your biggest supporters. But I want to know
- 9:37Speaker 3: if your ex husband, Eddie, he has not shown any
- 9:41Speaker 3: support to you throughout this, because what you've been through
- 9:44Speaker 3: is traumatic.
- 9:45Speaker 4: I'm going to take that as a no, he has not.
- 9:48Speaker 6: I mean, but you know, we are getting along and
- 9:53Speaker 6: that's all I can ask for. We like are together
- 9:56Speaker 6: on holidays. I missed a few because I was so
- 9:59Speaker 6: ill and it sucked to not be with my boys
- 10:02Speaker 6: on you know, certain holidays I just I literally would
- 10:06Speaker 6: lay in bed like her four days straight.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, what about like Leanne went through her her wellness
- 10:14Speaker 2: treatment thing and lost her teeth in the middle of
- 10:17Speaker 2: a concert.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Do you guys swap.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Stories or you just missed Brandy's eyes?
- 10:21Speaker 1: I saw.
- 10:23Speaker 4: I just want to know.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, so I was over for Christmas and
- 10:30Speaker 6: we were talking about I told her like I had
- 10:33Speaker 6: like sixteeth pol during as well, during this whole thing,
- 10:37Speaker 6: which is great. They're so like, I feel like a
- 10:39Speaker 6: hillbilly because there's.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So missing every here and waiting for your implants.
- 10:44Speaker 5: And I kidnot exactly.
- 10:45Speaker 4: It's a bitch getting old, Brandy. It's a bitch getting old.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I know, well, I've had teeth that she's my whole life.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Yeah teeth, Yeah exactly.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Wait are you telling me that?
- 10:56Speaker 3: Okay, so brand I mean, obviously you're not going to
- 10:59Speaker 3: be kissing with Leanne, but given what she's been through
- 11:03Speaker 3: and what you've been through, please tell me she has
- 11:05Speaker 3: supported you in some way.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I mean they have me over for the holidays, did
- 11:13Speaker 2: they talk she talked about the plasma treatment that she
- 11:16Speaker 2: had and what it did for her or anything like, well,
- 11:18Speaker 2: she I.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Don't think she had had it yet, or no, she had,
- 11:21Speaker 6: actually she had. I talked to her at Christmas a
- 11:24Speaker 6: little bit, but I hadn't told anyone.
- 11:27Speaker 5: About my breasts as yet. But luckily I have two
- 11:31Speaker 5: boys with big mouths.
- 11:33Speaker 6: And she's like, so, it's your breasts and plants and
- 11:37Speaker 6: I'm like no.
- 11:39Speaker 5: And I looked at Mason, He's like what she said?
- 11:43Speaker 5: Like she got it out of me.
- 11:45Speaker 6: I'm like, oh my god, I'm never telling you anything again.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You only tell girlfriends this. Yes, oh you're getting friends.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I mean I want to know, like I a ten
- 11:56Speaker 3: thousand dollars plasma exchange to clear toxin's.
- 12:00Speaker 4: You know, I find a bottle of vodka does the
- 12:03Speaker 4: same thing.
- 12:04Speaker 6: I mean, unless you're on antibiotics and you're just a
- 12:07Speaker 6: giant walking yeast infection, which is never fund.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I have a couple of questions, though, have you you
- 12:22Speaker 3: know I'm I'm single, SUSI sort of single?
- 12:25Speaker 1: What's it like?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Have you found a tribe? How have you learned to
- 12:29Speaker 3: love yourself again? How you know what you're going through
- 12:32Speaker 3: is traumatic? How are you moving through this stage of
- 12:35Speaker 3: your life?
- 12:36Speaker 5: Honestly? Like, I haven't had sex in three years.
- 12:39Speaker 6: The whole time I've been sick because I've I've lost
- 12:42Speaker 6: my confidence and I felt like I lost everything at
- 12:48Speaker 6: once in a weird way, like I lost my job,
- 12:51Speaker 6: I lost my reputation, I lost my looks.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Well, you also suffered from some kind of facial yeah, site,
- 13:00Speaker 2: I think you mentioned.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Yeah, but I'm not sure that that this maybe didn't
- 13:04Speaker 6: have something to do with it. Yeah, I mean my
- 13:06Speaker 6: breast implants were eighteen years old.
- 13:09Speaker 3: So are you wait, are the breast implants? Like, I'm
- 13:12Speaker 3: just gonna be honest. I mean, Susan and I have
- 13:14Speaker 3: both had a little work done, We've had a little fillers,
- 13:17Speaker 3: a little. I mean, is it possible that something else
- 13:21Speaker 3: caused the parasites on your face or as Yeah, I.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Mean I went to Africa. I mean I didn't have
- 13:27Speaker 6: like a bunch of parasites. You only need one.
- 13:30Speaker 3: But there's there's comfort. There's comfort in more brandy, there's comfort.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Is there comfort in numbers? I don't not, not when
- 13:40Speaker 6: it comes to parasites. But I literally was like, something's
- 13:45Speaker 6: in my faith having babies and as I'm massaga, I'm like, sorry, sorry,
- 13:50Speaker 6: I'm killing your babies.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yes, I mean Susan is an expert on because her
- 13:55Speaker 3: daughter has been through Helen back and that's true. I
- 13:57Speaker 3: will say to you, though, you know the me of
- 14:00Speaker 3: what you just listed, you know, losing a marriage, losing
- 14:03Speaker 3: your job, losing your reputation. I'll argue the fact losing
- 14:06Speaker 3: your looks. But I understand what you're saying. And I'm
- 14:10Speaker 3: a big proponent of uh. I always say loss is loss.
- 14:15Speaker 3: You know, it's not a it's not a it's not
- 14:17Speaker 3: a game to see whose loss is worse.
- 14:19Speaker 1: No, no, but it's a definition and definition I'm sure.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And I know that I went through an incredibly hard
- 14:28Speaker 3: time and I had grief therapy and I leaned on friends.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Are you what are you doing? Because these can be
- 14:34Speaker 3: dark times.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I know they've been.
- 14:36Speaker 6: They've been dark times because I've I've isolated myself because
- 14:42Speaker 6: you know, everyone would call, how are you horrible?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 14:47Speaker 4: I know, I got I got the letters. How are
- 14:49Speaker 4: you doing? How the hell do you think?
- 14:50Speaker 6: Exactly like, and you don't want to you don't want
- 14:53Speaker 6: to keep saying it. Yeah, and then it's just like,
- 14:56Speaker 6: so I just stopped answering my phone. Yeah I was
- 14:59Speaker 6: really I only saw my kids, really.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And now today you're feeling a little bit more like yourself.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You're looking better, You're feeling healthier. How does that make
- 15:10Speaker 2: you feel like you're starting to love yourself again and
- 15:12Speaker 2: feel confident?
- 15:13Speaker 5: You know, I'm still working on my confidence, you know.
- 15:16Speaker 5: I think it just has to.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Do with like my hair fell out, and yeah, you know.
- 15:21Speaker 5: What I mean, Like it's just a lot of it
- 15:27Speaker 5: seems silly, but I mean, as women, we like when
- 15:30Speaker 5: you when you look good, you.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Feel good, you feel good.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yes, But Brandy, let me say something first of all,
- 15:35Speaker 3: letting others judge for me every day was a struggle.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I'm just gonna be honest. Getting through what I went
- 15:41Speaker 3: through and so what did I got? Even though I
- 15:43Speaker 3: wanted to crawl in bed and put the and I did,
- 15:47Speaker 3: but I realized that I have a lot of life
- 15:49Speaker 3: left to live, and so do you. In my darkest days,
- 15:52Speaker 3: and believe me, I had them, I couldn't shower, I
- 15:55Speaker 3: couldn't answer the phone, I couldn't read one more uh
- 15:59Speaker 3: no of condolence?
- 16:01Speaker 4: Sorry, yeah I can't one more, I'm sorry? And one more?
- 16:04Speaker 4: Can I do something for you?
- 16:06Speaker 3: Like I couldn't even think how to put my foot
- 16:08Speaker 3: so I just one day I just thought I have
- 16:11Speaker 3: to get up and move.
- 16:12Speaker 4: And I got up and started walking. I journaled a
- 16:16Speaker 4: couple of times.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I started It sounds so silly now, but like, could
- 16:21Speaker 3: I get up and boil an egg mix scrambled eggs?
- 16:24Speaker 4: Like do something?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Because I was I was frozen, and I you know,
- 16:28Speaker 3: I want to know if you're doing any of those things.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Two weeks out of surgery.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Correct, But you can move, you can get out.
- 16:34Speaker 6: My god, I was like sweeping during the windows. I
- 16:38Speaker 6: came out of surgery and I threw my hand. I
- 16:40Speaker 6: was a little bit loopy, and that day, like when
- 16:44Speaker 6: they wheeled me out, I threw My'm like, yes, I threw.
- 16:46Speaker 5: My hands in the air.
- 16:47Speaker 4: They're like no.
- 16:50Speaker 5: I'm like, They're like, yeah, let's not do that yet.
- 16:54Speaker 5: You're you're feeling good right now, so what are you doing?
- 16:58Speaker 4: What are you doing to make yourself feel better right now?
- 17:02Speaker 5: Well, you're being a little pushy. I'm kidding.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Me, Kathy Brandy.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Listen, I'm the girl in the Golden Bachelor who told
- 17:12Speaker 3: the woman who got married to zip it.
- 17:14Speaker 4: So you know that's why I am.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Well, yeah, well is she divorced now?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 17:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm still like I had my son and his
- 17:25Speaker 6: girlfriend over for dinner and I made fun of him.
- 17:32Speaker 6: That makes me really happy, Like making fun of my children.
- 17:35Speaker 1: The same one that has your personality can get a
- 17:38Speaker 1: little funny too.
- 17:39Speaker 6: I mean, oh gosh, they they both have my wit
- 17:44Speaker 6: and like, I'm like, I used to be real quick,
- 17:48Speaker 6: but it's coming back.
- 17:49Speaker 5: And he saw that. He's like, uh oh, he's like mom's.
- 17:54Speaker 6: Like and his girlfriend I love her to death, and
- 17:58Speaker 6: like I could say anything in front of her, and
- 18:00Speaker 6: he was saying something so stupid that I had to.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Call him out. I'm like, you like, and now now
- 18:08Speaker 5: it's a joke.
- 18:09Speaker 6: I mean I would say what it is, but he's
- 18:11Speaker 6: gonna look like an ass.
- 18:12Speaker 5: So I'm not.
- 18:13Speaker 4: No, no, we don't want to.
- 18:14Speaker 2: And wat don't your son be in love having a girlfriend.
- 18:17Speaker 2: How does do you feel like someday you're gonna fall
- 18:20Speaker 2: in love again?
- 18:21Speaker 1: And are you open?
- 18:22Speaker 3: And can I have your cast offs?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Well?
- 18:26Speaker 5: You know what, I don't know if I even have.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Since my ex husband, I've had like relationships where I
- 18:34Speaker 6: love the person, but I don't know if love is
- 18:37Speaker 6: the same the second time.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I don't think it is.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:41Speaker 5: I couldn't tell you. I didn't I've not I had butterflies.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Okay, that's a good thing, that's a good feeling.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Butterflies turn into moss. What happened?
- 18:49Speaker 5: No, I haven't had butterflies.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Oh you haven't.
- 18:52Speaker 5: You're just soil a cone everywhere.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say it looks different for me. It's
- 18:56Speaker 3: looked very I don't want to replace my husband.
- 18:59Speaker 4: I mean I wouldn't know.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Yeah, God, you might want you, I definitely I don't.
- 19:03Speaker 4: I don't do.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Your sons ever say to you, mom, we want you
- 19:06Speaker 2: to find somebody, We want you to get married again.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't want to get married.
- 19:11Speaker 5: But they want me to find a boyfriend. They're like,
- 19:13Speaker 5: I think they're sick of like coming over and hanging out.
- 19:17Speaker 4: So wait do they?
- 19:19Speaker 3: So they don't say, I mean the guys boys. I
- 19:22Speaker 3: have one daughter and two sons, and my daughter trusts me.
- 19:24Speaker 3: If you think your boys are tough, have a daughter.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Oh my god, it'll put you'll be Yeah. Really we
- 19:29Speaker 3: can test to that. But I want to know, how
- 19:31Speaker 3: do you look at marriage? How long were you married
- 19:34Speaker 3: to Eddie?
- 19:35Speaker 6: I was married for eight years, but with him for thirteen,
- 19:38Speaker 6: like straight, there was no breaks.
- 19:40Speaker 3: There was so yeah, so how would you look at
- 19:42Speaker 3: I mean I was married. You don't even want to
- 19:44Speaker 3: know how long. How do you look at marriage now?
- 19:46Speaker 3: Like if you were considering it, how do you consider
- 19:49Speaker 3: it now?
- 19:49Speaker 6: Our sisters, I wouldn't I wouldn't get married again only
- 19:53Speaker 6: because getting unmarried was so difficult. Yes, like it was
- 19:58Speaker 6: the hardest, because I actually think this past three years
- 20:01Speaker 6: is harder than my divorce, which she's saying a lot.
- 20:05Speaker 6: But I would love to cohabitate. I would love to
- 20:08Speaker 6: have a partner. I just don't want someone to be
- 20:11Speaker 6: there because they have to be there.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Yeah, because what would you look like? Give me what
- 20:14Speaker 4: would he look like?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Because you look for something different than what you did
- 20:18Speaker 2: twenty years ago? Like what kind of traits would they
- 20:21Speaker 2: have to have or not have that you?
- 20:25Speaker 5: They have to be confident and like, like I can
- 20:28Speaker 5: date a shorter guy. I'm a very tall girl.
- 20:30Speaker 4: How tall are you ten?
- 20:32Speaker 6: But when I put on heels, you know you're six
- 20:34Speaker 6: two or six one? And I've dated like some shorter men.
- 20:39Speaker 6: And as long as they're confident that I can wear
- 20:41Speaker 6: my beautiful eye heels and I spent a lot of
- 20:43Speaker 6: money on, then I'm cool with it.
- 20:46Speaker 5: But if they're like, can you put on flats?
- 20:48Speaker 2: We are breaking up? Yeah, because they're not comfortable in
- 20:51Speaker 2: their own skin. Why on earth would I have to
- 20:54Speaker 2: lower myself literally?
- 20:56Speaker 5: And I love like ridges shoes, Like, what are you
- 20:59Speaker 5: talking about?
- 21:01Speaker 3: I'm just gonna say, Brandy, I don't think in that
- 21:03Speaker 3: book shoes is one of the five.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Well it should be.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I mean we could, we could subtitle it under gifts
- 21:11Speaker 3: if you want, But I mean shoes.
- 21:14Speaker 6: I mean I buy like I buy myself shoes, shoes
- 21:17Speaker 6: and purses. I spend money on everything else.
- 21:19Speaker 5: I'm that target, Like.
- 21:20Speaker 4: What size should do you wear?
- 21:22Speaker 5: Well, it's so sad.
- 21:24Speaker 6: I went from a seven and a half when I
- 21:26Speaker 6: was before kids, and now I'm a nine.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Damn I had to get.
- 21:31Speaker 5: Rid of all of my favorite like like I buy
- 21:35Speaker 5: expensive shoes, Like I don't spend money on a lot,
- 21:38Speaker 5: but like my shoes.
- 21:39Speaker 1: That's your thing. That's your thing.
- 21:52Speaker 2: You know, after all this time and being a prisoner
- 21:56Speaker 2: literally in your own body, not knowing what was happening
- 21:59Speaker 2: to you, and now that you have an answer and
- 22:02Speaker 2: you're moving forward, what will it take for you to
- 22:06Speaker 2: start loving your body again instead of being afraid of it?
- 22:11Speaker 4: Good sex yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I mean if I remember how.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Brandy, three years you need a toy that's your first Oh,
- 22:19Speaker 2: I have.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Like I have buckets full of choys.
- 22:22Speaker 6: I didn't have the energy and no desire right the
- 22:25Speaker 6: desire to even use them.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I mean I would go and get my hormones, like
- 22:30Speaker 5: you know, the P and it didn't do and it
- 22:34Speaker 5: gave me a little.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Energy, but it was nothing.
- 22:38Speaker 5: I have the hottest doctor, but he's very married, and
- 22:42Speaker 5: I would just be like like that was like my
- 22:45Speaker 5: big outing for the month, you know, like I'm going.
- 22:48Speaker 4: To go into the to the doctor to get her
- 22:50Speaker 4: ash shop. Wait, I want to know where she's looking.
- 22:53Speaker 3: If when you decide to start dating, tell me what
- 22:56Speaker 3: your procedure, what's your process going to because I'm taking
- 22:58Speaker 3: notes here, Okay, So.
- 23:00Speaker 6: I mean, honestly, i'd like on like dating websites, you
- 23:05Speaker 6: are on your favorite I mean, but I was before
- 23:11Speaker 6: it became it's like more like tender now.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Honestly, wait, I would think you would be nervous, Brandy,
- 23:18Speaker 3: because people know who you are. I would think you
- 23:20Speaker 3: would use a match maker. I thought that's what you
- 23:22Speaker 3: were going to say.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Actually, no, I mean, honestly, street men have no idea
- 23:26Speaker 6: Who I am?
- 23:27Speaker 5: I mean it's Gazings.
- 23:31Speaker 1: No, that's okay.
- 23:33Speaker 6: That's actually wonderful for me because I have not judgment
- 23:39Speaker 6: that I've met on like a TV show and they
- 23:45Speaker 6: love the camera, and you have to you have to wonder.
- 23:47Speaker 6: I already have trust issues, so you have to wonder
- 23:50Speaker 6: are they here for me or are they here because.
- 23:52Speaker 5: They want to be on TV?
- 23:55Speaker 1: And so I mean the.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Past three years, I haven't moved out of my bed,
- 23:58Speaker 6: so that would be the problem. But I just I
- 24:02Speaker 6: you know, I think that I went out for Valentine's
- 24:05Speaker 6: Day with my girlfriend, not like girlfriend girlfriend, but like
- 24:08Speaker 6: just one of my friends, and that was big and
- 24:11Speaker 6: we were like flirting with the bartender, and like it
- 24:14Speaker 6: started to feel like I wanted to get dressed up
- 24:18Speaker 6: like I have not. I've been in my pajamas for
- 24:20Speaker 6: three years. You know, I'm like, I wanted to get
- 24:23Speaker 6: dressed up again. I want to wear my sexy clothes.
- 24:26Speaker 6: I want to put on lingerie. I want to I
- 24:30Speaker 6: just need it's been two weeks.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you need to be patient with yourself. You need
- 24:35Speaker 3: to get patient, Brandy. It's it all comes in time.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I just hearing you talk.
- 24:42Speaker 4: I hope. I mean I could be your mother almost.
- 24:45Speaker 5: No, you couldn't.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Well, I'm saying, I just hope that you don't let
- 24:49Speaker 3: others define your beauty, your self worth, your value, because
- 24:55Speaker 3: that's a no win game.
- 24:57Speaker 1: What about TV? Would you want to go back on TV?
- 25:02Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 25:02Speaker 6: I mean, honestly, I have I'm definitely finishing my book up.
- 25:08Speaker 6: Like it's hard for me because I I I'm sure
- 25:11Speaker 6: it's hard for everyone, but I grew up modeling and
- 25:15Speaker 6: then I fell into television.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Not on purpose. It found me.
- 25:19Speaker 6: I didn't find it. So I've kind of always been
- 25:21Speaker 6: defined by my looks. So I am extremely hard on myself.
- 25:27Speaker 6: It's not anyone else, like my kids are.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Like you look back to normal, and I'm like, I.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Go, look at this, and like, you know those things
- 25:35Speaker 6: that come up on your phone from.
- 25:36Speaker 2: The past, Yes, the pictures, yes, yes, oh gone, look
- 25:40Speaker 2: how good I looked at the time.
- 25:42Speaker 5: At the time, I didn't think I look great.
- 25:44Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying.
- 25:45Speaker 1: We're old, not alone.
- 25:47Speaker 3: We're old enough now. I mean truly, we're old enough now.
- 25:51Speaker 3: We all do that. We look you know, ten years ago,
- 25:53Speaker 3: You're like, damn I was hot. Why didn't I know
- 25:56Speaker 3: it at the time exactly.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I know it's twenty twenty, but.
- 26:00Speaker 4: You know what you should learn from that?
- 26:02Speaker 5: I have I'm learning now.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And La is La, do you ever consider a different
- 26:08Speaker 2: kind of life moving out of Los Angeles and doing
- 26:12Speaker 2: something different?
- 26:14Speaker 5: Yeah? Only if my boys move. I have to be
- 26:16Speaker 5: near them.
- 26:17Speaker 6: I'm like, I mean, I'm They're the loves of my
- 26:20Speaker 6: life on baby, so I I will go where they
- 26:25Speaker 6: go if they just if I'm like, you're going to college?
- 26:28Speaker 5: Is nearer one another?
- 26:30Speaker 6: And so luckily my eldest is that Chapman, so it's
- 26:34Speaker 6: not far away.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Is he the one that was modeling, Yes, he's still.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Modeling as well. And then my my youngest is taking
- 26:44Speaker 5: a little time after high school.
- 26:46Speaker 4: He just got called a gap year. It's called a
- 26:48Speaker 4: gap year.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, let's hope it's I mean, let's hope
- 26:52Speaker 5: it's one year. But he's in acting classes. Has he
- 26:55Speaker 5: just got a job.
- 26:56Speaker 6: Because I was like, I if you look at my
- 26:59Speaker 6: Venmo history, it's my friend.
- 27:00Speaker 5: If I tard Vado with like, she's like.
- 27:04Speaker 6: You know your Vembo's public, I'm like, yeah, I do,
- 27:07Speaker 6: because I want to embarrass my children. I'm like, here's
- 27:10Speaker 6: one hundred dollars and it says what is this for?
- 27:12Speaker 5: And I'm like nothing, Lindziness and.
- 27:16Speaker 6: So she's like girl, She's like you need you need
- 27:19Speaker 6: to stop with that. I'm like, nope, because it's for nothing.
- 27:22Speaker 6: Like they need to get jobs, like I had a
- 27:25Speaker 6: job when I was twelve, Like I worked my whole life.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Would you be okay with your boys being on TV?
- 27:30Speaker 4: Would you like that or care?
- 27:33Speaker 5: So Mason is going to be on TV.
- 27:36Speaker 6: He did a reality show, but he decided it's not
- 27:39Speaker 6: for him. He literally shot the first episode with me,
- 27:46Speaker 6: and because they asked to shoot with me, and so
- 27:49Speaker 6: it's like the Housewives kids like Larsia Pippin's son is
- 27:54Speaker 6: friends with my son, and so they got all of
- 27:57Speaker 6: these I call rich kids of Calabasas.
- 28:00Speaker 5: I'm not rich there. He might be, but I'm not.
- 28:04Speaker 5: So he shot an episode and with me and he
- 28:08Speaker 5: made me cry.
- 28:09Speaker 1: First.
- 28:10Speaker 6: He told me all the things I couldn't talk about.
- 28:12Speaker 6: I go, do you think that's gonna work with with people?
- 28:15Speaker 5: With your friends?
- 28:15Speaker 6: I go, doesn't don't say anything, because the second you
- 28:19Speaker 6: tell them not to say it.
- 28:20Speaker 5: I'm pretty gonna don't say that yes.
- 28:23Speaker 6: And so he made me cry. And our friend I
- 28:26Speaker 6: was like, what are you talking about? Like like he was,
- 28:30Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm not allowed to talk about your stuff,
- 28:32Speaker 6: but you could talk about my stuff.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 4: That's about right, that's about what kids you like.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but he decided he did.
- 28:40Speaker 6: He did like, it's not air Jet, it's gonna be
- 28:43Speaker 6: on Netflix, and I don't know the actual title, but
- 28:46Speaker 6: he was like, I'm I'm it's not for me. It
- 28:49Speaker 6: makes it makes him anxious, and he's already a little.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Bit anxious like his mama. So he was.
- 28:56Speaker 6: He was shaking his knee the whole time. I'm like, dude,
- 28:59Speaker 6: you're with me.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I'm not gonna right, come on. I said a few
- 29:04Speaker 5: things that embarrass him, but that's what I like to do.
- 29:07Speaker 3: So would you date How do you feel about dating
- 29:09Speaker 3: a guy who has children, maybe your kid's age or
- 29:15Speaker 3: even younger.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Do you feel like you'd want to start reparenting younger
- 29:18Speaker 4: kids again?
- 29:19Speaker 1: Well? No, hell no, hell no, I did it.
- 29:23Speaker 5: I got them out of the house.
- 29:24Speaker 6: They're great boys, they have jobs, they haven't been to jail,
- 29:27Speaker 6: they haven't been to rehab.
- 29:29Speaker 1: We're good.
- 29:30Speaker 5: I'm not doing that again. No, way.
- 29:32Speaker 6: I mean older kids. Yes, they're great. You know, I
- 29:36Speaker 6: love I love family. Yes, like my family was all together?
- 29:40Speaker 6: Actually was it yesterday? Yesterday? Over the weekend, and like,
- 29:44Speaker 6: I'm still a little foggy.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 29:46Speaker 6: Mom sent me a picture. She's like, this is what
- 29:50Speaker 6: retirement looks like. And it was of this guy, this
- 29:53Speaker 6: really handsome guy. And I like, I was like, Mom,
- 29:56Speaker 6: are you trying to set me up?
- 29:57Speaker 5: I'm really not ready.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Two weeks from two weeks, Like, come on, I haven't
- 30:03Speaker 6: even looked at them yet.
- 30:04Speaker 5: Come on. She's like, Brandy, that's your little brother.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Oh my goodness.
- 30:10Speaker 6: Oh he threw his hair out and he grew a
- 30:13Speaker 6: beard and a mustache.
- 30:15Speaker 5: And I haven't. I mean, last time I saw him,
- 30:17Speaker 5: he was like bald.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I'm like, wait, are you close with your family?
- 30:22Speaker 5: Yes?
- 30:24Speaker 6: Very close, I mocked ash still together. I have an
- 30:26Speaker 6: older sister, she's sixteen months older, and my brother is
- 30:30Speaker 6: two years younger. But they all live in northern California,
- 30:34Speaker 6: so you know, I don't go to the family barbecues.
- 30:37Speaker 5: I'm like, why are you even up?
- 30:39Speaker 6: It's ten My mom goes throughout at like nine and
- 30:41Speaker 6: like it's ten thirty.
- 30:42Speaker 5: She's like the Olympics. Brandy, I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Brandy, you keep in touch with any of the other housewives.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Did any of them come to support you during this time?
- 30:52Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 30:54Speaker 6: The girls from Girls Trip were I've been my biggest supporters,
- 30:57Speaker 6: Vickiy and Fedra and Eba, like those three, and Gretchen
- 31:00Speaker 6: as well, but like really Vicky, Fedra. Even Yolanda has
- 31:05Speaker 6: been very helpful because she was like, get your She
- 31:08Speaker 6: was like one of the first people to.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Take take them out, take them out.
- 31:11Speaker 5: I said, no, you know what she did.
- 31:15Speaker 2: And how do you feel moving forward about plastic surgery?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Would you get it?
- 31:21Speaker 5: I'm I'm not I'm not anti surgery, let's be clearer.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I mean I should have.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Had them like they should have not passed mammograms. Let's speak.
- 31:33Speaker 1: That's another thing. No, I know my daughters did as well.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Yeah, because also mammograms can cause a rupture. But you know,
- 31:41Speaker 6: I should have been more responsible. They were older, but
- 31:46Speaker 6: they looked.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I'm going to give you some more advice that you
- 31:49Speaker 3: don't want. Stop getting yourself up. I'm hearing this self flagellation.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Stop. You know you've got a lot of life left
- 31:56Speaker 4: to live.
- 31:57Speaker 1: You're young, you trade to ages.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you're you're young, You've got two fabulous kids, you
- 32:04Speaker 3: have a lifetime of dating ahead of you. You're going
- 32:06Speaker 3: to hand off your the guys you don't want to
- 32:08Speaker 3: Susan and me. I mean, this is this is a
- 32:11Speaker 3: match speaking of matchmakers, this is one made in heaven.
- 32:14Speaker 4: But I want to know what your advice.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Would be because you have truly I am sympathetic to
- 32:21Speaker 3: everything you've been through. You know, and again, your life
- 32:24Speaker 3: has played out publicly and that's a whole that's a
- 32:27Speaker 3: whole other dimension to what you've been through. But anyone
- 32:31Speaker 3: who's listening, what would you want them to take away?
