  Hey everybody, good morning. So what's the power of before
• 0:31
  and after photos? Why are they used so much in our
• 0:35
  world? Advertising, whatever the the
• 0:38
  power of them is incredible. And I, you know, as somebody who
• 0:42
  grew up in advertising and like spent a good chunk of my life
• 0:46
  studying this and seeing, you know what, what leads people?
• 0:50
  How do you influence people? All of that good stuff.
• 0:52
  I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that, you know, there
• 0:57
  is no question in my mind that they have tremendous power,
• 1:01
  tremendous power. And I I am adamant about the
• 1:06
  fact that when I see them, they influence me.
• 1:11
  I know they influence me. So here's an interesting thing
• 1:14
  that came up. We had a challenge with the the
• 1:20
  HVAC unit in the house. My son recommended, you know,
• 1:24
  went upstairs, fixed it for temporarily then we get it
• 1:26
  cleaned out. He had a friend that he knew
• 1:28
  that was started as just HVAC company, so we called him.
• 1:32
  He came right out and he did a tremendous job.
• 1:37
  I've had people come out here multiple times to quote UN
• 1:40
  quote, you know, do maintenance on it and nobody ever took the
• 1:44
  time to do what this kid did it. He was here for almost 4 hours.

  He took everything. He cleaned everything, he
• 1:52
  checked everything. He made sure everything was done
• 1:55
  correctly. But here's what he did.
• 1:57
  He took before and after photos of what he was doing so that I
• 2:02
  could see it. He he showed me where there may
• 2:05
  have been one challenge, which was and the unit was fine.
• 2:09
  It was just clogged. That there was clogged because
• 2:12
  of all the pollen and not enough rain.
• 2:13
  And so the system took in the pollen and it caused this one
• 2:17
  spot to get clogged. And once Lucas had flushed that
• 2:20
  out, it was, it was fine, but it still had that gunk in it.
• 2:24
  So he had to go in and clean it all out.
• 2:26
  He checked levels on everything. I mean, he did tests.
• 2:30
  He had meter tests that he did and he photographed it all.
• 2:34
  And when he was done, he came and I said to him, how is
• 2:37
  everything? And he was like, everything's
• 2:39
  great. There's there's just one thing
• 2:40
  we don't have to fix it today. And it's the outdoor unit and
• 2:44
  there's this. And he explained to me that
• 2:47
  there's this wheel that the fly looks like a fan.
• 2:50
  The fan wheel, let's just call it that.
• 2:52
  That's probably not the right name, but that's what I'm
• 2:53
  calling it. Had a film, I'm on it.
• 2:57
  And he said it's within the allowable allotment that the
• 3:01
  manufacturer gives for the equipment to run properly.
• 3:05
  And I was like, oh, well, and then he showed me the pictures.
• 3:08
  And when I looked at the pictures, I was like, it's
• 3:10
  filthy. And he's like, yeah, but it's
• 3:12
  still within the allotment. You don't have to do it.
• 3:14
  And I was like, what was the price?
• 3:15
  And he's if you did do it and he gives it to me and it was more
• 3:18
  than reasonable. And I was like, just do it.
• 3:20
  How long will it take? You say probably, you know,
• 3:22
  another, you know, 45 minutes or so.
• 3:24
  And I was like, OK, do it. So he did it for before and
• 3:28
  after photos of that he showed me.
• 3:30
  I was astonished at what it looked like to what it looked
• 3:33
  like afterwards. And I sat there and I thought
• 3:36
  about this whole experience and I was like, what a powerful
• 3:41
  thing for someone to do and say. These are the before and afters.
• 3:45
  Now, we're very used to this in like the home industry.
• 3:49
  You're a realtor. You understand the power of
• 3:51
  before and afters. I never understand why when
• 3:54
  people do them, they don't stand in the exact same spot so that
• 3:58
  they can get an actual view. And that often doesn't happen.
• 4:01
  They don't stand in the same spot.
• 4:03
  So you get a view, but it's not the exact same view.
• 4:05
  So then you go, oh, I don't know.
• 4:06
  I can't really tell. But this kid did the exact same
• 4:09
  view. It looked unbelievable.
• 4:11
  I was so thrilled with what he had done.
• 4:14
  I could not believe what he had done.
• 4:16
  I was just like this is nuts like this is saying that I like
• 4:23
  could not believe the amount of time he took, the price he
• 4:26
  charged and these before and after photos.
• 4:29
  So I, I couldn't have been happier.
• 4:32
  So he asked me to do a Google review.
• 4:34
  I said, of course, I wrote a Google review and I just
• 4:37
  explained like what I did to you.
• 4:39
  And then he was so thrilled. He's like, boy, this one touched
• 4:43
  my heart. Thank you so much.
• 4:45
  And I, I have to say, this is one of those times where I look
• 4:50
  at something and I say to myself, you know, I, I really do
• 4:55
  believe there is a massive power in connecting with people.
• 5:00
  The before and after photos are a huge way to do that, huge way
• 5:05
  to do that. And when you decide you're going
• 5:08
  to go ahead and say I'm going to do before and afters in my
• 5:11
  business, whatever I do, it gives people the, the actual
• 5:16
  visual that you know what you're doing and that you can, they can
• 5:20
  see it, they can feel it. Where were you before we
• 5:23
  started? Where were you after?
• 5:25
  It makes a tremendous difference.
• 5:27
  So find a way to incorporate befores and afters into your
• 5:33
  world somehow, some way before and after, because that gives
• 5:38
  people. And even if you're asking for
• 5:40
  reviews, say where were you when we started and where are you
• 5:43
  now? It it helps people ask for it.
• 5:47
