- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 96 of the All Systems Go Sports
- 0:25Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
- 0:35Happy Tuesday. Another day here in the arena,
- 0:37guys. And once again, you know what it
- 0:40is? It's not quite football season.
- 0:42I know we got preseason, but it's another big Major League
- 0:45Baseball day. I got a 5 pack of sweats for you
- 0:49across the diamond here in MLB, including a bunch of very short,
- 0:53short favorites. So hopefully we can go three and
- 0:55two again. I think it's so important to
- 0:57have realistic expectations when you're betting baseball.
- 1:00A lot of new betters. Hey, 5 bets, let's go 5 and O.
- 1:03No, no, no, just be realistic. Let's grind out a profit.
- 1:06The goal is always to go win a little bit more than you lose,
- 1:09overcome the juice, produce something in the green, and just
- 1:13grind and stack as many of those days as you possibly can.
- 1:15So A5 pack today across Major League Baseball, 1 games on TBS,
- 1:20one games on MLB Network. I'm very excited about that.
- 1:23That means I can sweat some of these and watch them instead of
- 1:25stat tracking them on ESPN Gamecast.
- 1:28So A5 pack of sweats here. Let's go three and two, which is
- 1:31what we did last night. 3:00 and 2:00 last night, plus 0.25
- 1:35units. Don't scoff at a quarter unit.
- 1:37We'll take it every single time. We had some huge winners
- 1:40yesterday, including the Houston Astros winning six to one.
- 1:44Remember, they had that good sharp line move on the road.
- 1:47They were as low as like -110 -, 115 closed around -125 -, 130.
- 1:53Also had a big win with the Dodgers.
- 1:55Clayton Kershaw coming back, that was a bit of a dog to fave
- 1:58line move in favor of the Dodgers.
- 1:59They got it done 5:00 to 2:00. Then the San Diego Padres had to
- 2:03sweat that one two to one game. Joe Musgrove pitched pretty
- 2:07well. It was 00 until like the 7th or
- 2:098th. San Diego eked out a 2 to one
- 2:11win to give us a winner on that one around -195 now the losers.
- 2:16I remember specifically saying this.
- 2:18The Cardinals are my bugaboo this year.
- 2:20I feel like when I bet on them, they never come through for me.
- 2:23When I bet against them, they play well and I always lose
- 2:26again. Happened last night.
- 2:27I actually got out to 1 nothing lead and then Cincinnati lit up
- 2:30Sonny Gray. They lost six to one.
- 2:32I actually beat the closing line on that one too, which was a bit
- 2:35frustrating. So Cardinals, I continue to hate
- 2:37you because again, you just never give me a win when I bet
- 2:41on or against you. And then the frustrating one
- 2:43last night because you're sitting at 3:00 and 1:00 looking
- 2:45for a huge night. And again, I'll take a quarter
- 2:47of a unit profit every time. But the San Francisco G man, I'm
- 2:51not going to go G man. I'm just going to say G man
- 2:53couldn't do anything with the bats.
- 2:55Chris Sale absolutely blank San Francisco and was frustrating
- 2:58about that. One is Blake Snell was
- 3:00fantastic, had a no hitter through the 6th, think he had
- 3:0210-11 strikeouts. Basically San Fran just couldn't
- 3:06get anything going. Iglesias shut him down, they
- 3:09lost one nothing and it felt like every San Fran guy struck
- 3:12out every time at bat. So what are you going to do?
- 3:15Either way guys though, we produced a profit 3 and 2 + 1/4
- 3:19unit. We will take that every time to
- 3:21start our week. Now, typically at this point in
- 3:23the pod, I race right into the MLB bets.
- 3:25We're going to get to that in one second.
- 3:26I just wanted to make one quick announcement because I saw a
- 3:30tweet today that is very important when it comes to
- 3:33people who live in Missouri, but also people who are basically a
- 3:37supporter of legalized betting nationwide now, right now,
- 3:40remember back in 2018, PASPO was overturned.
- 3:43The federal ban on sports betting open the floodgates.
- 3:46Legalized betting were up to nearly 40 states, but there's
- 3:49still 1011 states that have not yet legalized betting.
- 3:52We're waiting on the big ones, California, Texas, Florida.
- 3:56Florida's a bit confusing because it feels like sometimes
- 3:59you can bet at, what is it, the Seminole Hard Rock, and then
- 4:01sometimes you can't. So Florida's kind of a weird
- 4:04one. But Texas and of course,
- 4:06California, I would argue Utah may never legalize betting.
- 4:09So there's probably going to be a couple states that just don't
- 4:11do it. But saw a tweet today.
- 4:14This is from Ryan Butler, who does a fantastic job covering
- 4:18the sports betting market for I gaming.
- 4:20You can follow him at Butler Betts.
- 4:22But this is what he tweeted out right as I was getting ready to
- 4:25start the pod. You said, quote, Missouri has
- 4:27the chance to become the 1st and likely only state to legalize
- 4:31sports betting this year. A referendum will be on this
- 4:34year's ballot that will allow voters to approve mobile and
- 4:37retail sports books in the state.
- 4:39So I quickly quote quote tweeted that and I said, hey, Missouri
- 4:43Democrats, Republicans, independents and probably a lot
- 4:46of you will fit this category. People who just hate politics
- 4:49all together. Nothing wrong with that.
- 4:51Vote yes on legalized betting this fall, hashtag let us bet.
- 4:55And I tagged my buddy Travis, who I used to work with at
- 4:57sports insights in bet lab because he lives in Missouri.
- 4:59So I'm pretty sure he's excited. But this is very important.
- 5:03I think if you're in the sports betting industry, you know, it
- 5:06should be legal in all the different states.
- 5:08We should use that tax revenue. I'm not going to get into
- 5:10politics that can ruin Thanksgiving dinner.
- 5:12And you know, I'm not going to, you know, fight for one side or
- 5:15the other. I try to stay as neutral as I
- 5:18can because it just causes arguments and people hating each
- 5:21other. But the whole point being is,
- 5:23and you should be legalized in every state.
- 5:25If you're going to bet on sports, we should use the
- 5:26profits to, again, fix the roads, fix the bridges, help
- 5:30schools, whatever you can do. People are going to bet anyway.
- 5:33I look at it similar to like legalize cannabis.
- 5:36People are going to do it. They're going to drink alcohol.
- 5:38So why would you keep it on the black market where it's
- 5:40unregulated? Bring it into the light to get
- 5:43tax revenue out of it. And Missouri obviously is a big
- 5:45state with the Saint Louis Cardinals, of course, the the
- 5:49Chiefs as well as the Saint Louis Blues, a lot of big
- 5:52colleges there. So this could be the only state
- 5:55that legalizes betting this year.
- 5:57And it's going to come down to a vote for the citizens of
- 6:00Missouri. So if you live in Missouri or if
- 6:02you have a family member who lives in Missouri or a Co worker
- 6:05or a colleague or somebody you know who you haven't talked to
- 6:08in forever, do me a favor. Vote yes this fall because we
- 6:12want to support legalize betting in every state.
- 6:14I remember when my state of Massachusetts took forever.
- 6:17It's been a little bit over a year, almost two years that it's
- 6:19been legalized. But I kept watching every other
- 6:22state, whether it was, you know, New Hampshire, you know,
- 6:27Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, they were all legalizing.
- 6:30What about my state? Well, guess what?
- 6:32Now Missouri has the chance to join the party.
- 6:34So vote yes this fall. Again, if you want to not vote
- 6:38for anything else but this, do it.
- 6:40Go to the polls. Let's get this passed.
- 6:42Let's get Missouri into the party for legalized sports
- 6:45betting. So you vote yes, but again, you
- 6:47know somebody in Missouri, tell them, guess what, There's
- 6:49something to vote for this fall. Vote for legalized bet a
- 6:52betting, vote yes in Missouri. So there you go.
- 6:55I don't typically talk politics, but I think thought that was
- 6:58important because it really has something to do with what we
- 7:01love and hold true, which is betting on sports and doing it
- 7:03legally. So with that being said, I'm off
- 7:06my political high horse. Let's talk MLB for today because
- 7:09I have, as I mentioned, A5 pack. All numbers here are pretty
- 7:12short, so let's try to go three and two and eke out a profit
- 7:15first. But on the board, 6:40 PM
- 7:17Eastern Time, first pitch, Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland
- 7:20Guardians. Now, yesterday, we saw the
- 7:23Guardians post a win 9:00 to 8:00.
- 7:26I was kind of a crazy game. They were down, they got a big
- 7:28and then they almost blew it. But they won nine to eight as a
- 7:31+ 105 home dog. The Guardians are now 70 and 49
- 7:34on the year. Cubs, meanwhile, 59 and 61.
- 7:38Chicago is going to send ready Javier Vasquez or sorry, Javier
- 7:42Assad to the bump here today. He's five and three with a 3.24
- 7:46ERA. Meanwhile, the Guardians are
- 7:47going to go with the lefty Matthew Boyd.
- 7:49More on him in a second. He's making his MLB or his 2024
- 7:53debut because he's coming off an injury.
- 7:54But you're going to like his stats in AAA when I get to that
- 7:57in a second here. So of course, starting off every
- 7:59cap, where's the line moving? Line movement is important.
- 8:02Can it be caused by injuries, whether other factors?
- 8:04Sure, but it's typically caused by smart money coming in moving
- 8:08a number. So what do I like about this
- 8:09one? I like the fact that the line is
- 8:11steaming Bigley toward the Cleveland Guardians.
- 8:14I'm on the Guardians here, guys. I got him at -150 So this game
- 8:17opened. Cleveland listed as low as a -,
- 8:20125 -, 130 home favorite. Now the Guardians are up to -150
- 8:25So a 2025 cent steam move in favor of Cleveland tells us the
- 8:29big money is siding with the Guardians here.
- 8:31Now they're getting around 65% of bets in dollars.
- 8:34So basically, Pro and Joe support modest public support.
- 8:37Not like they're getting 8090% of bets.
- 8:39But it's really that big steam move that tells us smart money
- 8:41is in their favor. Now I'm going to bank on the
- 8:44bats of Cleveland. They're hitting 241 with 138
- 8:47homers, 551 runs scored. Chicago is hitting 237 with 124
- 8:53homers and 511 runs scored. You also look at just a classic
- 8:59non division favorite system match or interleague favorite
- 9:01system match. Lack of familiarity benefiting
- 9:04quote UN quote the better team. Let's look into the home Rd.
- 9:07splits. That definitely favors the
- 9:08Guardians. Guardians are 36 and 20 at home.
- 9:10One of the best home teams in baseball.
- 9:13Cubs are 27 and 43 on the road. They've really struggled on the
- 9:16road. So I want to bet against the
- 9:17Cubs on the road. I want to bet on the Guardians
- 9:19at home. Cleveland, by the way, did you
- 9:21know? 49 and 2269% with a 21% ROI as a
- 9:27favorite this year. That is the best chalk record in
- 9:29baseball. When they're favored, you know
- 9:31they're winning, You know, 7 out of 10 times.
- 9:34You also look at the Guardians, they're 32 and 1371% with a 27%
- 9:40ROI as a non division favorite. So even better when that lack of
- 9:43familiarity comes to play. And then also you look at these
- 9:46starting pitchers. Assad has a 4.17 ERA on the
- 9:50road, 2.38 at Wrigley. So he's been better at Wrigley
- 9:54than on the road. He's on the road tonight.
- 9:55I want to fade him. And then Matthew Boyd, if you
- 9:57guys remember, he was the lefty for the Tigers for quite a
- 10:00while. He had an elbow injury, so he's
- 10:02making his first start of the year, but he's actually really
- 10:04good in the minors. He posted a 0.83 ERA in 21.1
- 10:09innings pitched in his rehab. So we'll get to this in a
- 10:12second. I'm going to tell you about
- 10:13another bet I have on a rookie starting pitcher.
- 10:16But this is important to me because when a guy like Boyd
- 10:19comes up and he hasn't pitched all year, you know, what's the
- 10:22automatic line move is it's hey, this guy is maybe still injured
- 10:26or what got lit up in the minor league.
- 10:28So it's bet against him today or is it, Hey, this guy's getting
- 10:30called up. We want to we want to play him.
- 10:32We want to be on him because maybe he's going to surprise
- 10:35Chicago. Maybe he's he's he's recovered
- 10:37and healthy again. So whole point being is Boyd's
- 10:40pitching. We don't he's kind of an X
- 10:41Factor again, first start of the year.
- 10:43Yet all the smart money is going in his favor.
- 10:45So that's a good sign to me that smart money has chosen Cleveland
- 10:49and I always want to be with the sharp action.
- 10:51So I'm going Cleveland guys, big sharp line move.
- 10:53Let's go Boyd, I got Cleveland at -150 keep on cruising.
- 10:59I got an ain't broke don't fix it play for you.
- 11:01Let's look at match up here between the Houston Astros and
- 11:05the Tampa Bay Rays. Now if you remember last night,
- 11:08Astros had a huge win for US, six to one, getting it done for
- 11:11the team as a short Rd. favorite.
- 11:13They're now 63 and 55 on the year.
- 11:16Tampa Bay back to 559 and 59. So pitch a matchup for this one.
- 11:21We have the Houston Astros going with you say Kikuchi picked him
- 11:25up with the deadline from the Toronto Blue Jays.
- 11:28On the year, Kikuchi is five and nine, 4.62 ERA.
- 11:32But since he got acquired by Houston, he's pitched very well.
- 11:35The Astros are two and O and the two starts he's made since
- 11:38joining the team and he has a 3.27 ERA.
- 11:41So again, maybe he's motivated and he's got some good offense
- 11:44behind him here. He'll be opposed by Shane Baz.
- 11:47Baz on the year is O and one with a 4.3 O ERA, but he's made
- 11:51two starts in August. The area is nearly six.
- 11:53So I want to bet against Baz. I want to bet on Kachuki.
- 11:56What have we seen across the market?
- 11:57Well, line is going to the Strohs.
- 12:00Strohs opened around a -, 120 -, 125 road favorite.
- 12:04We've not seen Houston get bet up to -130 -, 135.
- 12:08I see one book, maybe even going going to -140 So it's pretty
- 12:11clear here this is a wash, rinse, repeat.
- 12:14Pros hit Houston yesterday. We cashed on them, hitting them
- 12:17again today, causing that line move.
- 12:19Now they're matching quite a few systems here, Rd. favorites with
- 12:22Steam. That's been a fantastic system
- 12:24match historically this year at 64% non division Rd. favorites
- 12:29off a win 58%, but that's still a 3 1/2 percent return on
- 12:33investment. I want to also in terms of the
- 12:35bet splits, 80% of bets on Houston.
- 12:37I don't love that it's public, but 90% of the money is on
- 12:41Houston. So it's not just a public play,
- 12:43but a pro and Joe Bet split low bets, higher dollars with that
- 12:47line move in favor of Houston. Now, I'm going to bank on the
- 12:49offense of Houston. They're really, I saw him at
- 12:52Fenway over the weekend and they've just ripped the cover
- 12:54off the ball against the Red Sox, Did it again last night.
- 12:57When you can put out Alvarez, Altuve and Bregman, you know, I
- 13:01guess in order would be Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez.
- 13:04That's one hell of a top three there.
- 13:06And Bregman hit another Homer last night.
- 13:08But on the year, they're hitting 262.
- 13:10The Astros are with 139 homers, 548 runs scored, Tampa Bay
- 13:16hitting two 33110 homers, 461 runs scored.
- 13:20And then also you look at recent performance, last 10.
- 13:23Tampa Bay is four and six, only hitting 221 ERA of 3.52.
- 13:28Houston is 7 and three, their last ten hitting 269 with a 2.79
- 13:33ERA. And also like the fact that, you
- 13:35know, if you look toward last night, I'm just double check
- 13:37this one. There's no way hater pitched.
- 13:40I'm pretty sure he did not Yeah, so hater your your stud closer
- 13:45who I think's converted like 25 straight.
- 13:47He is fresh and ready to go if it comes to a, you know, one run
- 13:51game late. So Long story short, we played
- 13:53Houston last night. A lot of the same variables are
- 13:56at play. Short Rd. favorite with a line
- 13:57move non division favorite. You also have a favorite low
- 14:00total here Total, this one is 7 1/2.
- 14:03So a fair amount of expected runs scored more likely to come
- 14:06from quote UN quote, that better team.
- 14:08So I'm riding the Stroh's once again today.
- 14:10I got Houston at -135 keep on cruising Kansas City Royals and
- 14:16the Minnesota Twinkies. I'm actually kicking myself a
- 14:19little bit for not playing Minnesota yesterday because they
- 14:22did move a little bit -145 up to like -155 but tonight I'm
- 14:27hopefully not going to let them pass me by.
- 14:29I'm going with the Minnesota tonight and we're going to have
- 14:32an interesting convo about who Minnesota is pitching today.
- 14:35So Twins 66 and 5218 to three yesterday as a -, 160 home
- 14:41favorite -155 -, 160. Tonight's rematch, the Royals,
- 14:45who are 65 and 54. They're going to go with Ray
- 14:48Seth Lugo, 13 and six, 2.72 ERA, and the Twins are going to go
- 14:53with Zebby Matthews. What a great name.
- 14:56He's making his Major League Baseball debut.
- 14:58I'm going to give you more insight into him in a second.
- 15:00What do we see across the market?
- 15:02Well, good dog to fave line move or kind of a pick them to fave
- 15:06line move in favor of Minnesota. This game opened around a very
- 15:10short -110 you know, pick them play or Minnesota very short
- 15:14-110 home favorite. And now we've seen Minnesota get
- 15:17bet up to -125 -, 130. So that's notable because if
- 15:22you'll get the bet splits Publix actually going with Bobby Witt
- 15:24junior in Kansas City. Currently 60% of bets are going
- 15:28Kansas City, yet this line is moving further toward Minnesota.
- 15:32It's also important because this line is moving toward Matthews
- 15:35and Matthews is the 6th ranked Twins prospect and in the minors
- 15:39this year he's gone six and three with a 2.6 O ERA.
- 15:42So mentioned a second ago with with Boyd, but Matthews is a
- 15:47wild card making his debut. Where's the first move?
- 15:50Are we going to fade this kid because he's in over his head,
- 15:52He's going to get lit up or we going to bet on him because he's
- 15:54got the, you know, lack of familiarity Kansas City's never
- 15:58faced and maybe he surprises them.
- 16:00Also, Lugo's had got great stats 13 and six 2.72 ERA.
- 16:04Yet the lines moving away from him and he's a dog.
- 16:07This looks like a trendy dog with Kansas City getting nearly
- 16:092/3 of bets that I want to bet against.
- 16:11So I'm on Minnesota here, guys. I got the Twins at -130 Now
- 16:16Minnesota would match some good systems here.
- 16:20They are actually in the bet splits.
- 16:21Really interesting here. I think they're only getting 40%
- 16:25of bets, but nearly 60% of money.
- 16:28So that is a good split in their favor.
- 16:30But also they're 55 and 3065% with a nine percent ROI as a
- 16:34favorite. That's the second best chalk
- 16:36team in baseball. Only the Indians or the
- 16:38Guardians we just talked about, excuse me, are better.
- 16:42Royals are 27 and 29 on the road, Twins 35 and 23 at home,
- 16:47Minnesota six and two against KC this year.
- 16:50And also the Twins have the better bullpen, 3.94 ERA versus
- 16:534.27. So Matthews is a wild card.
- 16:56Let's hope this kid pitches well tonight.
- 16:58But the lines going in his favor.
- 16:59We got some good sharp reverse line movement.
- 17:01I'm going Twinkies shop round. I got Minnesota at -130 another
- 17:07ain't broke, don't fix a play. Dodgers came through for us last
- 17:10night at a short Rd. Price, chalk price.
- 17:12Let's see if they can do it again.
- 17:13Let's go Dodgers. This is the game.
- 17:16Second game of three-game set. Dodgers who are 70 and 49, one
- 17:20for us, 5:00 to 2:00 last night as around a -, 115 road
- 17:23favorite. Tonight's rematch, the Dodgers
- 17:25are going to go with the ready Gavin Stone.
- 17:27He's nine and five with a 3.71 ERA.
- 17:29The Brew Crew, who are 67 and 51, they're going to go with
- 17:33fellow ready Colin Ray, who's 10 and three with a 3.38 ERA.
- 17:37What have we seen across the market here?
- 17:39A little bit of movement toward the Dodgers.
- 17:42Dodgers open as a very short -110 -, 115 road favorite.
- 17:46Some shops are up to around -120 I did see it, got up to like
- 17:49-125 came back down a little bit.
- 17:52But off the opener, the line is still moved in the Dodgers
- 17:55favor. And what I like about this
- 17:57Dodger spot, they're only getting around 60% of bets.
- 17:59It's not like they're getting 80%.
- 18:01But also just mentioned Mookie Betts being back.
- 18:04Dodgers getting that mojo again when you're throwing out Otani,
- 18:08Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and T Oscar Hernandez top four.
- 18:11I mean, this is good news if you want to bet the Dodgers, but I
- 18:14really like the Dodgers. Not just a non division
- 18:16favorite, but they're non division favorite off a win.
- 18:20Those teams are 138 and 9958% with a 3% ROI.
- 18:24They're also a sweet spot Short Rd. favorite -130 or less.
- 18:28Those teams are 178 and one 4256% with a 4% ROI.
- 18:33But here is the the play for the Dodgers, it's a value bet
- 18:36because the Dodgers, you mentioned it yesterday, very
- 18:38rarely do you get them sub -150, sub -130.
- 18:43I mean, typically they're getting 90% of bets, you know,
- 18:45laying -200 -, 250. So in that situation, the value
- 18:50spot for the Dodgers, a good team at a really cheap price if
- 18:53you're only laying -120 tonight, it fits the system when the
- 18:57Dodgers are a value play of -150 or less.
- 19:00So they're favored by -150 or less.
- 19:03They're 22 and 13 this year, 63 percent, 12% ROI.
- 19:07So this is a value play for me. Not just the line move, good
- 19:10system matches as well, but LA also more explosive offense. 158
- 19:15homers, 587 runs scored. Milwaukee, 127 homers, 572 runs
- 19:21scored. And the Dodgers are three and
- 19:23one against Milwaukee this year. So if you're giving me a little
- 19:26bit of line movement, good value bet here on the Dodgers who got
- 19:30their, you know, top four mookies back.
- 19:32I'm going to make this bet every time.
- 19:33Give me the Dodgers. I got LA at -115 again.
- 19:38Now you're looking at around -120 last bed of the night.
- 19:43I'm looking for some revenge again.
- 19:45I stayed up late and thought we might eke out a San Fran win
- 19:48last night. Didn't happen, but hopefully it
- 19:50happens tonight. So 9:45 PM Eastern Time.
- 19:53By the way, that Dodgers game is on TBS.
- 19:56This one is on MLB Network, Atlanta and San Francisco.
- 19:59So we saw obviously of of course.
- 20:01One nothing loss, which was frustrating in extra innings for
- 20:05the G men as the Braves took the opener.
- 20:07However, for tonight, some good signs to back the G men, the
- 20:11hopefully the G men, not the G men.
- 20:14Anyway. Braves are 62 and 56.
- 20:17San Fran is now 61 and 60. What have we seen across the
- 20:20market here? Well, let's start with the
- 20:21pitching matchup. We have Charlie Morton going on
- 20:24the bump for the Braves. He's six and seven with a 4.47
- 20:28ERA. Kyle Harrison, the lefty is
- 20:30going for the G men. He's six and five with a four
- 20:34point O 8 ERA. But to me guys is all about a
- 20:37sharp reverse line move on the G men.
- 20:39This game opened at basically a pick em Price or actually you
- 20:44had the Braves slightly favored. So like Braves were -110 -, 115
- 20:48on the road and the public is saying, hey, let's go Braves,
- 20:51you know better record, you know more star players.
- 20:55So currently, you're getting nearly 55%, almost 60% of bets
- 20:59on the Braves. But the lines going to San Fran.
- 21:02So San Fran, again, open as a short dog, you know -105 + 105.
- 21:07Now they're like -110 I see one book at -115 San Fran.
- 21:11So why is line going to San Fran if the public's on Atlanta?
- 21:15San Fran only getting around 45% of bets, but they're getting 79%
- 21:19of money. So really good low bets, higher
- 21:22dollars bet split. Also, you look at Charlie
- 21:24Morton, I want to bet against him.
- 21:26This guy has had a great career. He's made a lot of money, but I
- 21:29think he's nearly 40 years old. Yeah, he's 40, and he's been
- 21:32getting lit up here recently. Hopefully that the bats of San
- 21:35Fran wake up tonight. But Morton has an 8.31 ERA and
- 21:39two August starts versus Kyle Harrison, who's been really good
- 21:42at home, 3.47 ERA at home versus nearly 4 1/2 on the road.
- 21:47Then also Morton's been worse on the road 5.14 ERA 3.97 at home
- 21:53have the the non division favorite value for San Fran as
- 21:56they're technically now the favorite that you also have the
- 21:59correlative betting favorite low total told this one is 8.
- 22:02Although some shops are juiced up toward 8 1/2 home Rd.
- 22:05Atlanta's 30 and 30 on the road, but San Fran's pretty good at
- 22:08home 35 and 25. And also I'm going to bank on
- 22:12the pitching hopefully of San Francisco because last 10 games
- 22:15the G men are six and four team ERA of 3.7, Atlanta's three and
- 22:20seven, their last ten team area of nearly seven.
- 22:23So you add it all up here, guys. I think this is one of the kind
- 22:26of tough things about baseball. Like you bet A-Team last night
- 22:29and they they don't win for you. And then the next day you're
- 22:31like, oh, they're sharp, but they let me down last night.
- 22:34How can I risk my money on them again tonight?
- 22:36Well, I think you just got to say, hey, if they're a match and
- 22:39they have a bunch of different boxes being checked off, sharp
- 22:42data-driven contrarian bet fire. So let's fire on this one.
- 22:46Let's go San Fran shop round. I got the G men at -110 so A5
- 22:50pack overall. Can we get three or more and eke
- 22:53out another winning night? Cleveland guardians, Houston
- 22:55Astros, Minnesota Twins, LA Dodgers and the San Francisco
- 22:59hopefully G men. So that about does it for
- 23:03episode 96 of the all systems go sports betting podcast powered
- 23:08by rhythm. But this is the part of the pod

- 25:30The sharp mush bets, which I love, basically are the top pro

- 26:53stay sharp, stay contrarian, bet against the public.
- 26:56Place yourself on the side of the house.
- 26:57Always be with the smart money, never against it.
- 27:00Will smart money when every time?
- 27:01Of course not. But if we can find that model,
- 27:04those system matches stay stay true to the model against the
- 27:07public with the house, with the pros flat bet avoid parlays, get
- 27:10some CLV. If we can do that, we're going
- 27:12to be successful sports betters. And of course I got to mention

- 27:26In my neck of the woods out in the desert where the true
- 27:29grinders get down or Billy Walter sends his number runners
