- 0:00Yoh, so you said that you caught that WWE game. Yeah, you
- 0:07were mentioned in the season mode. But how is the game itself, Like,
- 0:10how does it play? It's good man compared to like like the games
- 0:16that the Wrestling Wings we grew up with. It's just the most realistic style
- 0:21of wrestling that you can experience in the game. The graphics they don't lag.
- 0:27The moves are super simple. They're like they brought it down to like
- 0:31just like Mortal Kombat moves, Like the first button sets up the movie you
- 0:35want to do. So each each grapple sets you have like it kind of
- 0:41it's kind of like a tree. So if you hit one button, it
- 0:45gives you four types of moves. Each one of those four types of moves
- 0:49get you four other types of moves depending on where you have the joystick at
- 0:52and each one of the yeah and each one of those moves how it used
- 0:56to be yeah, and depending on if you hit one of the triggers,
- 1:00then you alternate that move at. Also, it's not like you have to
- 1:04remember a different type of combos. You just know, all right, if
- 1:07I'm hitting this button, this is what I got, hitting this one,
- 1:10this is what I got you know how to alter all the moves, and
- 1:11it's just it's really easy to learn, it's really easy to manipulate. It's
- 1:15really great great game development in my opinion. Yeah, man, that's always
- 1:21been my gripe with the wrestling games. So I played the demo like maybe
- 1:25two K twenty one or something like that, and it was just too much
- 1:29bro. Like the mechanics of it was so like extra and it was not
- 1:34friendly at all, and it's like, bro, it wasn't even fun.
- 1:37It was too much. And that's why I never really like tried it again
- 1:40because I played. I was telling Joe earlier that I played the two K
- 1:42fourteen, the ww two K fourteen that had like the WrestleMania moments and stuff
- 1:48where you would do like famous matches and you would have like scenes in the
- 1:52match like once you do certain things in the match, and that was pretty
- 1:56dope. But after that they changed the mechanics and I wasn't really feeling it.
- 2:00Yeah, that is a difference that the studios go through in it.
- 2:05It's because they are different studios for us the game development and different game engines
- 2:08and stuff. And I think what they have now, they've really mastered the
- 2:13gameplay. Yeah, I think Call of Duty was like the first game that
- 2:16really put me onto that because I remember when you would get like a Call
- 2:21of Duty Modern Warfare and then a Black Ops would drop. I didn't like
- 2:24Black Ops like nowhere near as much as I liked like the Modern Warfare series.
- 2:30Yeah, even played different, and I'm like, man, I don't
- 2:32like, like why I don't like this game? It's Call of Duty.
- 2:36And then that's when I kind of got hit to like, Okay, two
- 2:38different studios make these games, Like I think it was like Infinity Great,
- 2:43Infinity Ward and Trey Arc, you know what I mean. One made Infinity,
- 2:47Ward made Modern Warfare, and Trey Arc made Black Ops. So it
- 2:53was like I was gonna ask, how would you compare the two K twenty
- 2:57four to I think it was two K twenty three like the last last year's
- 3:00Oh it's so much better. They simplified the menu platform of how you can
- 3:09do things, and they simplified they made the controls a lot more easier,
- 3:15and I think that simplification that what they did makes the game more enjoyable because
- 3:19you don't have to go through all these crazy loose and bounds to figure out
- 3:22what the hell you want to do? Yeah, yeah, I definitely want
- 3:25to try. You definitely piqued my interest because, like I said, the
- 3:29controls have always been the thing that it's like they found a good formula and
- 3:32then they try to change it. It's like, why would you change it?
- 3:35It works right? Yeah? Right, just make it better, but
- 3:38don't change it. And they have like the my faction like with you have
- 3:42like Madden Ultimate Team and stuff where you like open or you open decks of
- 3:46cards and you build out your whole squad. The more you do, yeah,
- 3:50the more you the more challenged you, the better cards you get.
- 3:53So you have a lineup of like four men for women, and the better
- 3:58you do, you read more cards with better players, and you just build
- 4:00up your lineup with the most exclusive squad and you could take that squad online
- 4:03and battle other squads and it you know, it's yeah, it's a dope.
- 4:09It's a dope game. So you that you play two K basketball and
- 4:13you play two K football, I mean two K wwe how do you compare
- 4:16those two games? Because I haven't really played either one, so how would
- 4:20you, Oh, I compare them to be the same. It's just different.
- 4:24Sport, and they even have like my GM where you could just run
- 4:28the league, you don't even have to play. But then you have like
- 4:30the Creative Player mode where you could be an up and coming start You start
- 4:33like an NXT and you have to go up the ranks and get promoted to
- 4:36Raw or SmackDown, and you could choose when you go to yeah, choose
- 4:43you want to challenge, do promos. It's really interesting to see how like
- 4:48I was playing Madden twenty four the other day and how EA has kind of
- 4:54started to replicate a lot of what two K does in their in their game,
- 4:59like as far as is like just the modes and you know what I
- 5:01mean, the mind player, you know what I mean. They had to
- 5:04kind of like keep up with those those versions you know those Uh, I
- 5:09guess I don't even know the word. I'm looking for game modes. Thank
- 5:12you. It's crazy how EA had it kind of unlock even where NBA Live
- 5:16because you know, we're old enough to remember when two K was kind of
- 5:19like, bro, we're not playing two K, We're playing live, you
- 5:23know what I mean. Like it's crazy to say it now, but that
- 5:26was a live was the superior mode game back then. They had the history,
- 5:30you know what I'm saying. They had been around from the nineties.
- 5:33The gameplay was super dope and there's they're actually NBA Live is one that they
- 5:41dramatically changed the way the game played, and it was like, Bro,
- 5:45they happened. We lost everybody. They did it to themselves. I feel
- 5:48like they lost it for sure, yeap, because I remember NBA Live like
- 5:54when it was like PS one, PS two, NBA Live was where it
- 5:59was at, you know what I mean, sure for sure so one bro
- 6:02Yeah, NBA Live had that like feel of you're watching the game on tn
- 6:10T or something. Yea soundtrack, even when you choose the players, the
- 6:15cut scene, you know, it was just a vibe. Bro Live was
- 6:17Live was dope. Man Live was like an underrated game that It's funny because
- 6:23those games that like every year come out, like the updates, like sports
- 6:27games and things like that, those games always kind of get lost when you
- 6:30think about games that you like and stuff, because you don't really consider those
- 6:33games like to be you know, like a story mode game or something like,
- 6:39you know, with more playability, you know, and those those dunk
- 6:43contests were the best dunk contests that's do cartwheels and shit and do like the
- 6:47craziest stuff and it was super easy to do them. Yeah. I've seen
- 6:50that on TikTok recently. Like people were just paying homage to that dunk contest
- 6:55in NBA Live because it was, like you said, it was so innovative.
- 6:58It was dope. I remember me of my boys, like we used
- 7:00to do that dunk contest like and talk mass ship easy. Yeah you know
- 7:04what I'm saying, Like we never could pull off the move. Was it
- 7:09done? Yeah? Yeah. Another game from that era that just went away
- 7:14was Fight Night, Man, but I still played Fight Night Champion, Like
- 7:19I still play that bro Dispute. This is going to be the next up
- 7:25and coming for that. I still have it, but it's still it's crazy.
- 7:28I was still in bado mode. It's not even fully Yeah, two
- 7:31or three years, it does look like it's gonna be dope though. Man,
- 7:36I remember I remember one time I stayed over a homie's crib and we
- 7:41were playing Fight Night and I was trash, like I never I never played
- 7:46him because I was never like a video game guy, like I always sucked
- 7:48at every game, so like I just didn't even do it to myself,
- 7:51you know what I mean. But just for whatever reason that day, I
- 7:55was like, all right, bet, i'll play, so we play.
- 7:58And that's just like playing stupid because I suck at the game. But I
- 8:01was lighting him up. Bro, Yeah, she used to get you mad.
- 8:05Yo. I was working him that whole first round and then it was
- 8:07back in the day, so it was like a PS one or PS two,
- 8:11so the thing froze in between rounds, you know what I mean.
- 8:16And I was like, man, dog, I was like, nah,
- 8:18dog, I was already pounding you too much. I'm done. And I
- 8:20didn't play him again after that, Bro, I didn't. I didn't keep
- 8:26playing him, and he was hot. Bro let go from mad years.
- 8:31She's like, you know, if we would have restarted that, I was
- 8:33about to wax you. I'm like, bro, I'm not even gonna.
- 8:37I never played him again, literally, and he's still to this day he
- 8:41wants to run that game back. That's an argument. Now. I ain't
- 8:45know, Quincy, you're Madden player when when it's messed, when it's like
- 8:48glitching, even like with the kickoffs and in the beginning, like you're like,
- 8:52yo, no, got we got to start that over that's crazy,
- 8:56Bro. That's why I hate playing online. Bro. I really do really
- 9:00hate playing online, man, because it's like, yo, you already know,
- 9:03butro, It's like if we were in the same room, you know
- 9:05that would that happened? Bro? Yeah, if there's a lag or a
- 9:07slipe it. But I remember there there was a glitch and I was playing
- 9:11My Boy where the meter for the kickoff was covered by like the controls of
- 9:18the game, and you're to get out of it, so I couldn't even
- 9:20see them. So I was just kicking it everywhere, getting out of bounds
- 9:24every single time. And I'm like, brother, like, there's no way
- 9:26this game counts, like for real, Like this game counts. Remember two
- 9:31K used to have the glitch where it would do it would go to like
- 9:33a cut scene when you were shooting a free throw, and it would be
- 9:35a cut scene that's not even looking at the court throw, you know what
- 9:39I mean, because the game is registering like you're in the free throw,
- 9:43you know what I'm saying. And then if you're just like in the beginning,
- 9:46if you didn't catch it, you would get like a violation for not
- 9:48ye free throw, you know what I mean, because you take too long
- 9:52and you're like, what the heck? And it was because that had that
- 9:54camera glitch. Yo. Real talk though, tell me if y'all have ever
- 9:58had like the real deal arguments in real time. You in the same living
- 10:03room playing whatever game Madden, NBA, and y'all was really by the fight.
- 10:07Oh yeah, to my boy lewis Man. When we was in middle
- 10:11school, Dog, we used to play NFL Blitz Like I used to sleep
- 10:15over. I was gonna play NFL Blitz and we would pause the game in
- 10:18box mid game. Yeah, boxing gloves at the crib. Yeah, arguing
- 10:24about Blitz. Bro. It'd be like three in the morning. We're in
- 10:26the top floor of a three story apartment, Dog and we just pull out
- 10:28the gloves and start yo. Yo. It was wild. I still remember
- 10:35yea. I know Gary, my boy Gary sound Bank. We was.
- 10:37We was in the I think we was like playing NBA, Bro, and
- 10:39he got tight and he threw my control on the floor. So I stood
- 10:43up. I said, throw my control on the floor again. Yo.
- 10:46We was like eye to eye, like like Devin Hate and Ryan Garcia.
- 10:50I was like, throw my ship on the floor again, and he was
- 10:54yo, and he was like I was like, get out of my house.
- 10:58I was like, Yo, all of this over a two K game.
- 11:01It's crazy to me, Like remember when I was a JIT, But
- 11:05I was like, probably this before I moved to Florida. Bro. I
- 11:09was like eleven years old and my step dad his friends would come over.
- 11:13They would play Madden, Bro and Bro. I would used to wax them
- 11:16old niggas Bro. I would wax Bro. They would leave the house mad
- 11:22Bro. They would be like, nah, double the nutting, Bro,
- 11:24double nutting. Like they would bet me money, Bro. They would bet
- 11:26me money like I'm an eleven year old kid. Wow Bro that they used
- 11:31to leave the house mad dog. Yeah, video games cass fights for sure.
- 11:37I remember one time in Wentworth Bro my brother when my brother was small,
- 11:41he had to be like probably like eight or something, and my boy
- 11:45Edgar came through because we used to play Halo all the time. My brother
- 11:48was talking mad junk to him, like, Yo, if you put in
- 11:52that tech and a pound, you this, this, and that, like
- 11:54just unprovoked out of nowhere, Like nobody was talking about Teching nothing. He
- 11:58had just been playing Teching for Little Bit, so he thought he had the
- 12:01game mastered, you know, what I mean, he's just talking. Helicraps
- 12:05to Edgar were like sixteen, my brother's like eight. And then Edgar's like,
- 12:09you know, you know, he's all right, bet, let's play.
- 12:11You know. Edgar's like Dominican. He had just came from d R
- 12:13you know what I'm saying, and he's playing my brother and he's pounded him,
- 12:18and he's telling my brother, Dag, I never even played these games
- 12:22before. It's like destroying you. Yo. My brother got so hot.
- 12:33He was so furious that day. He was like going off the deep end,
- 12:37bro, because imagine he was egging him on the whole time to play
- 12:41him in the game. He never even played the game before, and then
- 12:43he just straight waxed him, Like that's the word someone who's not even good
- 12:48at that game waxes you go, you bet you don't even want to play
- 12:52that off? Turn this off. He still remembers that to this day.
- 12:56Bro. That's hilarious. Yeah, man, the video Like you said,
- 13:01Joe, the video gaming thing is funny. Man, Like we Quincy remembers,
- 13:03Man, we was not playing about that Halo. Bro. He stopped
- 13:07playing basketball for a little bit because of that Halo. Bro, what's it
- 13:11called Angel would ride his bike from where he stayed at, which was like
- 13:16not that close, you know what I'm saying. He would come with his
- 13:20Xbox in his book bag. I remember the first Xbox that was a brick,
- 13:24bro. Yeah, that was a big job, yo. He would
- 13:26ride like it was like probably like twenty five thirty minute bike ride, you
- 13:31know what I'm saying. He was dedicated with Xbox in his backpack. My
- 13:35boy Kevin had the System Link. Yeah, so Kevin would come with his
- 13:39TV in the System Link. Quincy would come, Would you bring your Xbox?
- 13:43Yeah? Because that was when you lived right across from me. So
- 13:46I would come right across the street with mine and we would We used to
- 13:50have your apartment, bro. We used to have every room with a TV
- 13:52basically and four people in each eighteen people in my freaking two bedroom Armen and
- 14:00Wentworth. Bro. My mom would get home from work. She would be
- 14:03furious, Bro, she was like, everybody get out of my house.
- 14:09I would be mad high. Everybody's smelling like arm pit. You just balls,
- 14:13four dudes in every room. Paulse just ready to go. I remember,
- 14:16yeah, I remember that it was battle rifles and it was no shields,
- 14:22you get a headshot and that's it. You're done. Yeah, Halo
- 14:28golded broaded the Halo that Angel was talking about, so like whenever anybody's ready
- 14:33to play, we used to do that. We used to run shoddy snipers,
- 14:37oaper and then we had you know, the person who had the sword,
- 14:41like you cheating being you cheating with that sword? That sword for real?
- 14:46Whoever had the sword? Now you cheating? Be Come on, all
- 14:50you do, all you could do is do that sword. That's the only
- 14:52way you can win. Or the rocket launcher. It was the race of
- 14:56the rocket lounchers too. Remember Halo that when you play online, they had
- 15:03the ranked mode. You know what I'm saying. You would play ranked and
- 15:05then every once in a while you would have people that they just like,
- 15:09we're tired of playing against other good people, so they would just tank the
- 15:13game, like they would kill themselves or yeah, and then you would get
- 15:18so mad, bro, because you know what I'm saying, it would ruin
- 15:20your rank, like it was like if you at the same rank, or
- 15:22bring you down because you lost that game or you guys got destroyed or whatever.
- 15:26That that that Halo online was mad competitive, bro. That shit was
- 15:31super dope. Facts. I definitely I went to like tournaments with Halo.
- 15:35Bro. I actually want money with Halo. Bro. Yeah you were nice,
- 15:39Bro. You hustled us. I always always show up. He hustled
- 15:43us. Bro. He came man humble, like he never played a video
- 15:46game in his life. He showed up with the remote, but we was
- 15:50hit by the time. By the time he came around, Angel had already
- 15:52came around and waxed us. And we with a remote too. And because
- 15:56we were just like, you know, like we ain't oh we didn't have
- 16:00computers and nothing, so we ain't had like the the you know, technique
- 16:03stuff. We didn't know. We were just playing like like you know in
- 16:07Zulander when they're like throwing the computer around and stuff. Where Bro, we
- 16:14ain't know what the fuck we was doing. We didn't even know that the
- 16:15online. Angel was the one that told us, like, yo, you
- 16:18know you can play online with this right like that that's crazy. Yeah,
- 16:23we already do with Angel, like he came with his own remote. He
- 16:26came and waxed us. By the time he came with his own remote,
- 16:29We're like, oh, then I feel like it's not good, you know,
- 16:32what's wild though, And like as much as technology technology has changed,
- 16:37as far as the game and development, we were able to play online so
- 16:41easily back then with like no fast speed internet, and it was so much
- 16:45fun. And now it's like you got to have the mega Internet in order
- 16:49to keep up with everybody else, and if you don't, you right back
- 16:53then that back then your internet speed didn't matter. It matter how good you
- 16:57were exactly. It's crazy because I heard that Ninja dude talking about it and
- 17:03basically, you know, I don't know exactly what it is, but you
- 17:07know how the pings in the game, like you want to have less things.
- 17:10It's basically like how long bounce off the tower right the signal to come
- 17:14back? So he said that there's only like certain places in the States that
- 17:18you could even go, like you have to move, and a lot of
- 17:22gamers have done it, like they'll move to the place that has zero ping,
- 17:26like, yeah, there's probably nobody around them it has internet at all.
- 17:30Yeah, and you literally can't, like there's places in the United States
- 17:33that you can't get that good of a connection, Like you have to move
- 17:36to a certain place to do it. And there's streamers that have done it.
- 17:38You know what I'm saying, Because obviously, if that's your bread and
- 17:41butter and you want to isolated, yeah, you want to have every advantage
- 17:45you can have. Having the best reaction time as far as your internet and
- 17:49your game is going to be super clutch. Yeah. If you're in an
- 17:52area with ten fifty thou people in this one internet connection there and everybody's sharing
- 17:56that one, there's nothing you can do about that, right. Yeah,
- 18:00It's crazy. Man. The gaming thing, the way that it has turned
- 18:04and how it's gotten is even like wild. Just to see how it's unfolded
- 18:08and everything, how popular the content is, Like, it's wild. And
- 18:12that's well, like obviously they took a big dip after COVID, but it's
- 18:17I feel like it's held up pretty well more than I thought. But that's
- 18:19the shift in the evolution of technology and everything, and that's like I think,
- 18:26shout out to Ronnie. He made a good point of the Joe Rogan
- 18:30episode, like we're in the we're the generation who had experience that, Like
- 18:34this generation has never had experience that. All technology now, even like with
- 18:38AI and everything that's coming with that and all the automated ship, Like we
- 18:45had to deal with that ship back then. There's a lot of people in
- 18:48this younger generation who never had to deal with that. All they know is
- 18:51this, and that's why they're so good and they got that advantage, and
- 18:53that's why I think like we're more accustomed to like, all right, our
- 18:56ship lags, our ship slow whatever, that's part of the game. Dealt
- 19:00with this before. With them, they're like, no, there, that's
- 19:03there's that's not a possibility for us. Yeah, that's it's crazy, man,
- 19:08Do you go ahead, go ahead ahead? I was gonna say,
- 19:11but do you think when it comes to like the AI stuff, we're getting
- 19:17ahead of ourselves in a sense? I always felt like that to be real.
- 19:21Yeah, yeah, I think even the simplicity of things, you know,
- 19:26there's and I'm an iPhone lover, there's some things my iPhone is doing
- 19:32too much. Like you're doing too much, Bro, you're doing too much,
- 19:36Like slow down, Like I don't need you to do all this stuff
- 19:38because you're stopping me from doing the simple things I want to do by trying
- 19:41to guess everything I want to do, Like you're doing too much. I
- 19:45feel like we already have too much access as is, you know, what
- 19:48I mean, Like there's I don't think it's it's like a personal theory of
- 19:52mine that I don't think people are supposed to be this stimulated. I guess,
- 20:00say you know what I mean, Like, I feel like the reason
- 20:02why a lot of people are having all these issues and different things that are
- 20:06coming up, you know, just as far as just anything, bro,
- 20:10like pick you know, close your eyes and pick a symptom. All that
- 20:12stuff is coming from overstimulation, whether it be food, whether it be media,
- 20:18whether it be entertainment screens. Like just so much is going on as
- 20:22people and then as we move into the AI, like it's going to get
- 20:25to the point where like you don't even need to connect with other people because
- 20:27you can have a real time conversation with a thing that's going to be smarter
- 20:33than whoever you talk to, but it's going to talk to you the way
- 20:37you wanted to talk to you. That's like, to me, that's like
- 20:40crazy crazy from the point of view of like you need some kind of friction,
- 20:45bro. Like this whole like everybody having this you know, luxurious kind
- 20:52of life thing is like I don't know, bro, I feel like that's
- 20:56definitely the wrong direction. Of going. I agree, we are the builders
- 21:00of AI. In fact, I mean we're the database, bro, all
- 21:06this data that's been compiling on the Internet since the beginning. Bro. It's
- 21:10literally it's crazy, dog, because you think about all them old movies and
- 21:14things that you've seen and things that you heard and things that have happened,
- 21:18Like it's all kind of laid out already, you know what I'm saying,
- 21:22kind of like you're saying, Joe with the AI, Like we already laid
- 21:26out the path for the AI. So it's gonna feel familiar because it's been
- 21:30happening already all along. Like people think about AI just from the point of
- 21:34view of like a computer generating something in an instant, But you know,
- 21:40artificial intelligence goes back before just computer screens, you know what I mean.
- 21:45It's something that it's just crazy, dog. Like I don't know, man,
- 21:52I don't know. I just feel like we're entering like a stage where
- 21:56it's very uncertain as far as like how stability is is gonna like what is
- 22:00going to be stable at that point? Yeah, you know what I'm saying,
- 22:03Like what's going to be the baseline of like a human life or like
- 22:07an expectation for a person or how somebody's gonna live. Because another thing is
- 22:11seeing those like futuristic type movies and stuff where every it looks like everybody's living
- 22:18in like a New York type atmosphere where they're you know, reduced to a
- 22:22little space. There's a lot of stuff going on, big screens everywhere telling
- 22:26everybody, oh remember this, remember that. You know, like everybody's getting
- 22:30their information from all the screens and everything. And you would see stuff like
- 22:33that, like you know, the movie The Fifth Element and just old stuff
- 22:37like that. Then you'd be like, man, that looks crazy, but
- 22:40dog like, it's just right there, It's right around the corner. It
- 22:42is, so you think it is in And there's so many people who take
- 22:48so much advantage of that. And I work in the technology field, so
- 22:52I meet people who instead of having a human do the job and giving a
- 22:57human the ability to make money and have a job and get paid to do
- 23:02it, they're like, Oh, I know how to get this ship to
- 23:03be done automated and get done automatically. I'm like, why do you want
- 23:07to replace people's jobs for like, they got to make a living, they
- 23:11got to support their family. Is like, and you're coming up ways to
- 23:15replace them. Oh, yeah, we don't even need someone to do this
- 23:17anymore. Like why why? And I think that that that's agreed of certain
- 23:22people that they want to be the person that can control and replicate the job
- 23:30of eight peoples with one person, and that that's just that's why I don't
- 23:33like, I don't like the ethics of that, like that, that doesn't
- 23:37make sense to me why people feel that certain type of way when it even
- 23:40goes to the like the whole self checkout concept. You know what I'm saying,
- 23:44Like you are they doing that? You want me to you know what
- 23:48I'm saying, do the job of somebody that's supposed to be trained to do
- 23:52this job. I'm coming here to spend money, Yet you want me to
- 23:56perform the duties of somebody that you're supposed to be paying. Yeah, that
- 24:00you want me to go to the person that as I leave to verify that
- 24:03I've done this job correctly. And in theory, aren't we supposed to be
- 24:07getting some kind of discount or services should be cheaper right right? Yeah?
- 24:11I mean you're eliminating a stage of the business model basically save money and to
- 24:18get people in and out in a better way. So why aren't we seeing
- 24:21the effects of that? Why is the price is going up? That's why
- 24:23if there's a lane open, unless it's super busy, I don't do self
- 24:26check out, like, bro, I ain't coming here to work. Yeah,
- 24:30I don't work here. Ring my shit up, back my shit up.
- 24:32That's what y'all get paid for. Not even trying to sound like you
- 24:34know the facts like that, but yeah, like there's a reason I came
- 24:37to the store to spend my money, and my money includes y'all ringing my
- 24:41shit up and backing my shit. I take my stuff to the car,
- 24:45like, I don't make people do that, but you are like paying cashiers
- 24:48and baggers. Yeah, at the end of the day, bro, Like
- 24:52I came in here, I put the stuff in my car. Why do
- 24:53I have to take the stuff out my car to scan it, to put
- 24:56it in bags, to put it back in my part, to bring it
- 25:00to my car. And I'm not even getting paid or any kind of discount
- 25:03to do it. No, I'm gonna go to that one lane that got
- 25:07somebody getting paid to do it exactly. You know, it's crazy kind of
- 25:11going back to what y'all was saying about just the ethics with the AI and
- 25:15stuff like that. You know, it kind of like crept into the rap
- 25:18scene with like the AI dishes and stuff. The guy that came out and
- 25:22said, oh, I was the one that made Yeah, you know,
- 25:26he kind of explained the process of what he made when he made it and
- 25:29stuff like that, and it's like kind of exactly what you said, Joe.
- 25:32It's like he was able to do it and it was easy enough for
- 25:34him to put it together, and he just did it, and the algorithm
- 25:38aka the AI did his thing, and it just spread like wildfire to the
- 25:42point where like even like some people in Drake's camp was insinuating that it was
- 25:48real because it was whack. You know, they're trying to say it's AI
- 25:52because it's whack, But this is real, you know what I mean.
- 25:56And it's just like the way the waters have gotten muddy with it, even
- 26:00to the point where like Rolling Stone is writing articles about it, how like
- 26:03the AI thing is just muddying the waters with the diver and it's like,
- 26:07man, like you just get it's it's honestly bro Like maybe it's that old
- 26:14school thing or maybe it's just because we not coming up in that era exactly.
- 26:18But you kind of feel robbed just from you know, just a lot
- 26:22of different things because you're almost desensitized to even expect something dope you because that
- 26:29build up in the anticipation of waiting for it, and you're wasted on something
- 26:33that's not even real. So when then when the real world comes out,
- 26:37you're like, I don't know this just real, Like, I don't even
- 26:40I'm not even that. That's what drew me away from even giving a ship
- 26:42about all this rap beve like, and everybody's asking me, I'm like,
- 26:45yo, just look it up. They're like, why isn't an Apple music?
- 26:48Why isn't that here? I was like, it's probably not real,
- 26:51Like what was it? Some someone put a put a thing. It's like
- 26:56Nas released that ship on this album and the first words on it was fucked
- 27:00jay Z. You knew who he was talking about. You knew it was
- 27:03him. It was direct. All that shit was direct. People were dropping
- 27:08videos. It was direct. Now it's like you have to figure it out,
- 27:12is this real or not? And we're hearing that intro for the first
- 27:18time, tho you know whose voice that was? Right? That's Tupac's voice.
- 27:23Oh dang, that's crazy. H yeah, fu jay Z fuck And
- 27:30so he slowed that down folk, jay Z, that's super. I didn't
- 27:34know that. You just i't know neither. But yeah, man, even
- 27:40just the artificial side of the humans involved in this before like, it's taking
- 27:45this turn where Rick Ross and Drake are comparing mansions and you got grown men
- 27:51commenting on the mansion size of another man like and at them and each other,
- 27:56you're talking about square footage and ship like. Bro, I'm totally turned
- 28:02off about us. And it's exactly like what you said. Joe Nas dropped
- 28:07the disc. Jay Z dropped the this. They called into the radio stations
- 28:11said their piece. They called before and after the tracks dropped, they took
- 28:15the verdict of the listeners and and you know, took it on the chin.
- 28:19And you know, whoever won, whoever lost, they both kept moving.
- 28:23The guy that lost that battle ended up being the biggest rapper. I
- 28:26mean, he didn't come out worse for it, that's for sure, you
- 28:30know what I'm saying. You look at Drake. You know he had that
- 28:33battle with Push, you t he lost that, he did he come out
- 28:37worse for it. Nope, he just kept making records and literally making records,
- 28:41you know what I'm saying, breaking records and it's like, bro,
- 28:45this is I like, I liked Drake when with the meek Mill battle and
- 28:48he did back to back and charged up and he performed it on tour and
- 28:53he dropped it on his ol Vo SoundCloud like he was so direct with that.
- 28:59And I think because me Mill was not at the level of push your
- 29:03t and not at the level of Ken Drake, and so he fell balls
- 29:07enough to do it. He should have kept that same energy forever and then
- 29:11I would have respected it. But now I don't respect anything that he drive
- 29:14as far as go ahead, no, as far as like this record.
- 29:18That was a hilarious thing about that beef too, because you know, a
- 29:22lot at that time, like the people around me was like, oh,
- 29:25meet Mills about to wash him this is and that he used to free style.
- 29:27I'm like, bro, listen, meek Mill is a street rapper.
- 29:32He's hard and he's dope. You know what I'm saying. You know that
- 29:34early big Meal stuff he was spitting, bro, But if you really listen,
- 29:38you can and you listen to Drake like you knew which way that battle
- 29:44was going. Bro. Like, meek Mill did not have the lyrical firepower
- 29:47to go at Drake and hold his own in that battle. Bro Like it
- 29:51just and the stature. And that's why like to dig it in even more
- 29:56Drake when they heard the whole story about when they was at the hotel.
- 30:00Oh yeah, and then Drake rented out the whole top floor above meek Mill
- 30:04and then played blasted that back to back track all fucking super loud like that.
- 30:11That just like checked off every box like I'm bigger than you, I'm
- 30:15better than you. And that's that's what ends rapis this ship d MS.
- 30:22I can't even tell you no responses, delayed responses, just memes like you
- 30:29when this comes to Rapie, if you can't use the current trends, go
- 30:34ahead real quick. The thing I heard, actually Charlemagne the guy say,
- 30:40is something that's getting lost in all this is Kendrick hasn't responded, Bro,
- 30:42He's on the clock. Everybody was saying, where's Drake at, where's Kendrick
- 30:47at? Mm hm. Didn't I agree with you on that? My thing?
- 30:52What I was going to say last was, you know, like my
- 30:56whole issue with this is like this, I feel like the more and I
- 31:00don't know when it will change. I don't know if it will ever change.
- 31:04But the deeper we go into this social media culture, the deeper we
- 31:10go into this cloud chasing culture, and I feel like that's what it's becoming.
- 31:15Because, like you said, the Meek Mill Drake, that was what
- 31:18twenty sixteen, Yeah, that was a different time, you know what I'm
- 31:22saying, Like, yeah, we had social media, but the level of
- 31:26cloud chasing now, I mean, look at the whole AI situation. This
- 31:29guy literally came out like, Hi, guys, I'm the culprit. I'm
- 31:33the one that made the AI. Just it's me, you know what I'm
- 31:37saying. It's like, bro, like that don't make That's lame as hell,
- 31:40Like you know what I'm saying, Like, why would you do that?
- 31:42The way everybody moves nowadays because of the social media stuff, I compare
- 31:47it to like how boxing is now, Like every boxer now they got to
- 31:52be undefeated. They're picking the perfect, exact fights, they're moving the exact
- 31:56way to try to you know, maximize their potential and you know, get
- 32:00the most return they can for their career. Because it's dangerous and it's short,
- 32:05but you got everybody, just regular people. Everybody just moving that way,
- 32:10like because the camera's always on, the social media is always, you
- 32:14know, right in your face and that thing. I feel like it's just
- 32:17like motivating people's moves. And you could see it in the rap game,
- 32:21you know what I'm saying. You see these dudes they not just responding,
- 32:25rapping, whatever the case. You're doing everything but rapping. Right. Even
- 32:30he felt the way that he did to apologize because of the way that people
- 32:36were responding to the this. It wasn't even he just felt himself like,
- 32:40oh I felt bad doing that this. It was the way people were talking
- 32:45to him about it and responding about it that made him be like, ah,
- 32:47man, I ain't want it to be on something. It's like,
- 32:50bro, And I think he did it the right way. He dropped the
- 32:53mixtape and dropped the disc. Bro. He did It's like, dog,
- 32:58I don't know, man, that's a way to do it. You can't
- 33:00be out here talking about you want to be the greatest and trying to pump
- 33:04up your chest and then retracting a disc. Bro, like come on,
- 33:08and ain't ready for that. I'm gonna go. I agree. Let's wrap
- 33:14up with that. Bro. You was at Dreamville Fest and you was in
- 33:16the crowd when this man apologized to Kendrick and said he was gonna take the
- 33:22disc down. How was the vibe out there? Like in the crowd,
- 33:24how was the vibe after the set? How was the vibe like the rest
- 33:28of the night, Like, just kind of walk us through it. It
- 33:30was mixed feelings, Like you could tell that some people was like, I
- 33:34feel like there's a lot of J Cole stands out there that he came to
- 33:37no wrong, you know what I'm saying. So like a lot of the
- 33:38people that was in the front, Like if you watched the clip, you
- 33:42heard like the people the crowd like when he said that, like they were
- 33:45all like cheering and stuff. Those are like all the people that was in
- 33:47the front, those are the stands. And don't get me wrong, I'm
- 33:50a huge J Cole fan, but you know when he said that, I'm
- 33:52definitely like, Yo, come on, bro, You're supposed to be the
- 33:54goat, you know what I'm saying. You're supposed to be like the dog
- 33:57in this game. But you've been literally for the last three years on this
- 34:00run that like anything you hop on you killing niggas like this is supposed to
- 34:06be light work, you know what I mean. Yeah, so for me
- 34:08talking crazy on them, this is too I mean on the versus on the
- 34:13verses, he been talking like yo to anybody can get it artist that was
- 34:16on the song, Like do you feel like he was this in you?
- 34:19Like yeah, a few people that he did verses on like if they felt
- 34:23that and it was like, Bro, it's because you was rapping greasy.
- 34:25Bro, Yeah he was. You know what I'm saying. So like to
- 34:29me, you know, I mean, it's it's something that you can't really
- 34:32bounce back from. Man like you It's I'm interested to see how he tries
- 34:37to bounce back from it. To be honest with you, from the point
- 34:42of view of like trying to be the goat. Yeah, you know what
- 34:44I'm saying, Like like just from the standpoint of like for example, when
- 34:47Drake had all of the ghostwriting allegations, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 34:51that was a huge hit for him, but he bounced back like he still
- 34:53was able to bounce back, like people still look at him from the standpoint
- 34:58of like yo, but did he write it though but they still give him
- 35:00his credit, you know what I'm saying. But how do you, as
- 35:05Jake Cole, bounce back from this, you know what I'm saying. I'm
- 35:07interested to see how that happens. Yeah, so kind of I feel like
- 35:12my interpretation of what you just said, Quincy is kind of like Drake has
- 35:16fans that, like you talk, you talk to them about ghost writing.
- 35:20They don't even know what the hell you're talking about, bro, like you
- 35:22just want to. They just know Drake is putting out the joints that they
- 35:25like that. You know, Drake is the man. They listen to Drake
- 35:29and that's it. Jake Cole, his fans are more of the people that
- 35:32are like us exactly like listening to j Cole. It's not because you're like
- 35:37some chick at a party or something like that, you know what I'm saying,
- 35:39Like you you know what I mean. You're not in the club with
- 35:44your homies and y'all just bumping Jake Cole, you know what I'm saying.
- 35:46So it's like this is the part with the thugs. Yeah yeah, exactly,
- 35:50Like bro, if you're if you're saying, you're that guy, and
- 35:52that was the thing with jay Z and NOAs too, like when they was
- 35:55coming at NAS just from the the stature in the game aspect, like,
- 36:00oh, jay Z got Beyonce, jay Z got this deal, jay Z
- 36:04did that whatever. Nah, it's just new like bro. But I'm a
- 36:07better rapper though, Like it don't even matter what you're talking about, because
- 36:09when we get on these records, you're going here, why I'm not,
- 36:13you know what I'm saying. That's like where j Cole should have should have
- 36:16been, you know what I mean, Like he let NAS down again,
- 36:19real talking, I mean he should have just I mean, if he didn't,
- 36:22you know, he let the pressure of everybody get to him, and
- 36:25he should have just let let it. He should have left it alone,
- 36:28you know what I'm saying. If he didn't want too, he should have
- 36:30left it alone, you know. But he The worst thing you could have
- 36:34did was back out. The worst thing that could have happened was you realizing
- 36:37you ain't want to smoke after you let the match exactly. You can't put
- 36:42tooth space back into tube, you feel me? Yes, sir, what's
- 36:45the word. What's the word? Do you? Oh? Chief, there
- 36:49it goes. You can't do it, Chief, No, But it's and
- 36:59I wanted to. I want the crossover with that boxing too, because yeah,
- 37:04guy sucks, but crossover boxing too. So we can add this in
- 37:08because you know, we got the Ryan Garcia and Davey Devin Hainey fight,
- 37:13and I always spring when it comes to boxing. I bring everything back to
- 37:16Floyd Mayweather because anytime he talks shit, he was doing one of three things.
- 37:23He's running fifteen miles around Vegas with the camera on him preparing for the
- 37:29fight. He was in front of a bag in his gym, talking shit
- 37:34to many pack yell picture boom boxing while he's talking shit or in the ring
- 37:39and just saying some of the greatest signs ever. He think he good,
- 37:44I'm great. That's the difference between us. I don't think I'm good.
- 37:46I'm great, just talking and shit while he's showing you physically how good he
- 37:52is. It's a physical sport. You're boxing. He's leaving it up to
- 37:58the boxing. He's talking to shit, but he's boxing. These dudes are
- 38:01doing it on DMS on now, Ryan Garcia, he's doing it in Bobby
- 38:08all Toalf interviews. He's doing it every single place, but in a ring
- 38:13or in front of the bag or while he's training, Like now it's just
- 38:16like you said, clout chasing. Now it's just the attention the social media,
- 38:25you know what I mean. And it's like you're taking away from the
- 38:29art, Like now you're trying to put on a show. You can put
- 38:32on the show while you're training, why you're boxing, why you're doing something
- 38:37physical, while you're showing how much you're prepping. And now it's just like
- 38:39who could talk shit better in the press conference? And that's taking away And
- 38:44now I think Ryan Garcia is way past the point of proving he's a good
- 38:49boxer by boxing. He's trying to prove he's a good entertainer now, and
- 38:53he's taking away from the sport. It's taking away from the quality of the
- 38:58anticipation of this is gonna be a good fight, rather than, Oh,
- 39:02these guys talking so much shit they hate each other. I want to see
- 39:05who's gonna win. He's doing it to the point where people are doubting if
- 39:08he's even really in a state to box, so they're not even buying the
- 39:13fight. Yes, exactly. Usually you'll at least buy the fight and be
- 39:16interested to see what the result in the ring is and that's what boxing is.
- 39:20Like you're selling the fight, like you're selling the ticket to see the
- 39:23fight, and if you're just doing too much, like what's going on right
- 39:27now is reflecting and you're seeing it reflecting that in the numbers of the fight.
- 39:32Yeah, and I'm a fan of boxing, so I'm gonna buy it,
- 39:37but just to think, like the same thing with the beef in music,
- 39:40with the beef in boxing, I'm I'm not even excited about it.
- 39:45I'm I'm just like I listened to the what the real responses are, just
- 39:50to see how it goes. I'm gonna watch the fight to see how outcomes,
- 39:52but the anticipation and like the excitement for it because I'm like, Yo,
- 39:59he's been in his ass off, His dude's been training his ass off.
- 40:02They know the weaknesses, you know the strange, they got a game
- 40:06plan, they're gonna come with the heat. I don't even know what the
- 40:08fuck they're gonna do anymore. I'm just gonna watch it because I want to
- 40:12see what happened, to even know what the match is gonna look like really
- 40:14at all. Like if you be on social media, like you said,
- 40:16man, show me, show show yourself in the gym, show yourself in
- 40:21the studio, show yourself. You know what I'm saying, talking ship while
- 40:23you're doing what you could at you know what I mean. When he when
- 40:27he came up on my feed, what I used to see was that like
- 40:30them hard hitting it was it was you know, him hearing a dude that
- 40:35got like man pads and he's moving them like yeah, he had a hook,
- 40:38like crazy showing off that hook. I haven't seen the video of him
- 40:42punching anything in the long ass time. Facts, man, we shall see.
- 40:46We shut chasing era. Man. Man, it's infecting everything in a
- 40:52bad way, I feel. And the crazy thing is everybody could like honestly,
- 40:57what everybody needs to do is stay butter after acting after acid at a
- 42:17pumpy not not pupy, not not punty, put not not pup not not act o
