- 0:00Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with balanced Life Chiropractic. We
- 0:03have doctor Harley. We survived the eclipse. Yeah, did you get to
- 0:07watch it? I didn't really watch it. I saw it on the internet.
- 0:10Does that count as anything. I waited for videos because like it's cloudy
- 0:13or so. I posted my own eclipse photos right away in the morning,
- 0:17though. I just I made my egg as big as I could make it,
- 0:20and I put it on a small plate. Tried to eclipse my plate.
- 0:24Yeah, that didn't. That didn't seem to appease the eclipse lookers.
- 0:28So you can do all the eclipse shows. At the next show, I
- 0:31think I'm going to steer clear, but we're going to talk about the nervous
- 0:33system today, So like that's the solar system that's way out there. Now
- 0:37we're going to talk about, like way down inside of us, the nervous
- 0:39system, because that's just as confusing to a lot of people. But that's
- 0:43something that you know quite a bit about. Yeah, so chiropractors we're kind
- 0:46of like nervous system specialists, and maybe people don't think about that, like
- 0:49all you crack spines and backs, but at the end of the day.
- 0:52What we're doing is we're help in your nervous system. Now, so I'm
- 0:55probably listening like, well, what is our nervous system? You know?
- 0:58Do you know what our nervousystem consists of. It's like your nerves, I'm
- 1:00assuming, but it's a lot more than that. It's like your body communicating
- 1:04from one part of your body to another. Right, So it starts up
- 1:07in our brains. Our brain's like our master control system. It's sending messages
- 1:11down into our body through our spinal cord, and then our spinal cord branches
- 1:15off as nerves that are going to every muscle, cell, organ, and
- 1:19tissue in our body. So that's how our brain is able to control everything.
- 1:22Our body does something or touches something, feels something, that message goes
- 1:26back up to our brain brain analyzes like okay, and then responds how So
- 1:30that's how things move and how things work, which is really cool that we
- 1:32don't have to think about it. It just does it on its own.
- 1:34I don't have to remember to breathe, otherwise I'd probably be dead, right,
- 1:38you know, most people probably forget their head if it wasn't a kind
- 1:42of thing. So it's a good thing. That this thing is able to
- 1:42do it just does it for us, right, and so you can look
- 1:46at like just a giant communication system. Now, communication is pretty important,
- 1:49right, What happensolutely? What happens when your communication breaks down? And yeah,
- 1:53usually a miscommunication usually leads to problems. And that same thing happens in
- 1:57our bodies. Right, and you're playing, well, wow, what causes
- 2:00that in our body? Well, our spine is a big factor. You
- 2:04know. Our spine's job is to protect our spinal cord. Those nerves branch
- 2:07out between the different bones in our spine. So we want to make sure
- 2:10our spine is moving and grooving and not putting pressure on those nerves or they
- 2:14get irritated and inflame. They call that nerve irritation. It causes disruptions.
- 2:19It's gonna disconnect that communication process, which is gonna start leading to problems.
- 2:23Yeah, we don't want problems, right, So what do you think what
- 2:27are some common things that they think happen? We have misalignments in our spine.
- 2:30I bet it like pinches the nerves. So it's like kink and a
- 2:35hose. That's a pretty common answer. People like, oh, pinch it.
- 2:37Well, if it did pinch a nerve, that nerve would die,
- 2:38So it's not quite that extreme. Everyone's like, I'll have a pinch nerve,
- 2:43Well, that would cut the nerve. So really it's putting pressure and
- 2:46it's really like a dimes amount of pressure. So really it doesn't take much
- 2:49to irritate those nerves. So even just a slight shift in our spine can
- 2:53cause irritation and problem. So in our neck, you know, those nerves
- 2:57are going back up into our head. They control our eyes, ears,
- 3:00no in our brain. So when we have misalignments in our neck, that
- 3:02can lead like headaches, chronic sickness, sleepiness, tired issues, ear infections,
- 3:07and kids, all sorts of things. There are mid back those are
- 3:10going to our heart, lungs, in our stomach, so you know that
- 3:14can cause digestive issues like acid reflux, and in our lower that causes more
- 3:17digesting issues because that can affect our small large intestine, kidneys, urinit tract
- 3:23reproductive organs, so constipation and diarrhea, infertility issues with both men and women,
- 3:28menstrual issues with women. You know, it's all our organ function,
- 3:30but those nerves all control our muscles and movements, so we can have neck
- 3:35pain, shoulder stiffness, numbness, tingling into our fingers, you know.
- 3:38Same in the low back, we have low back pain, hip problems,
- 3:42need problems, numbness, tingling into the toes. So that's a lot of
- 3:45different things. Yeah, it's a lot. And that's just a very small
- 3:46fraction of some of the symptoms that we can have. So if somebody listening
- 3:51is going, hey, I have all of those things, well, first
- 3:53of all, boy, what a rough life that would be. But if
- 3:57they're experiencing issues with any of those things, and maybe they've never tried chiropractic
- 4:01because they never connected those two things, what would be the best way for
- 4:05them to connect with you and see if it's the right fit for them and
- 4:09their health plan. If you're sitting there thinking, well, how a lot
- 4:11of these things, what's chiropracticing? What are we gonna able do to help?
- 4:14Well, we're gonna analyze your spine, We're going to figure out where
- 4:16those bones are out of alignment, and then we deliver a specific general adjustment,
- 4:20putting enough pressure to move those bones back into their proper alignment, taking
- 4:26that pressure off the nerves. They're gonna function better, they're gonna heal better.
- 4:29You're gonna start to feel better when those are in proper alignment. Sure
- 4:32nice. So you can give us a call at six zero five two one
