Speaker 1: There are a few outlets that have been absolutely ridiculous
• 0:06
Speaker 1: when it comes to the Jeffrey Epstein case. But none
• 0:09
Speaker 1: of those outlets have been more ridiculous than Newsmax. Now,
• 0:15
Speaker 1: I understand what should we expect from a rag that
• 0:20
Speaker 1: hires somebody like Alan Dershowitz or Wayne Allen Root. We
• 0:25
Speaker 1: shouldn't expect much. I get it. But these people over
• 0:31
Speaker 1: at Newsmax are the quintessential establishment-protecting scoundrels that we're always
• 0:39
Speaker 1: talking about. They like the status quo. They like the
• 0:43
Speaker 1: system the way it is. You know why? Because these
• 0:47
Speaker 1: high-profile lawyers like Jonas Spielberg, who we're going to talk
• 0:51
Speaker 1: about tonight, they love the system set up the way
• 0:53
Speaker 1: it is because it maximizes their Potential of wealth. It
• 1:00
Speaker 1: maximizes how much money. They're going to make off of
• 1:02
Speaker 1: their clients. As they try to navigate. Through the disgusting.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: Gross justice system. But Spillbore. She's not interested in reformation.
• 1:14
Speaker 1: She's just interested. In making sure. You get on to
• 1:20
Speaker 1: get on. She wants the way. That it's always been.
• 1:27
Speaker 1: To always be. And friends, that is not working. Not
• 1:32
Speaker 1: for us. Not for the working class poor. And remember,
• 1:36
Speaker 1: when I say working class poor, I don't use it
• 1:38
Speaker 1: the same way other people might. I'm talking about all
• 1:41
Speaker 1: of us who make less than $ 250, 000 a year. Oh, what?
• 1:46
Speaker 1: You didn't think you were the working class poor? You
• 1:49
Speaker 1: thought that you might have been upper middle class or something? Wrong.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: Working class poor, my friends. All of us. The 99%?
• 1:57
Speaker 1: All of us. And these people like Jonas Spielbohr and
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz, they know the game's rigged against us. They
• 2:08
Speaker 1: know that the game is rigged against us. When's the
• 2:10
Speaker 1: last time someone like Alan Dershowitz took on a regular
• 2:13
Speaker 1: old client from the hood? When's the last time one
• 2:16
Speaker 1: of these loudmouth, high-profile lawyers stood up and protected those
• 2:23
Speaker 1: amongst us who are at the highest risk? not unless
• 2:28
Speaker 1: a lot of money was involved, not unless a huge
• 2:31
Speaker 1: retainer was paid. And yet these are the same people
• 2:35
Speaker 1: that get up there and preach about morality or talk
• 2:39
Speaker 1: about how the system's perfect, just exactly how it is,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: but we have to live by the system. No, the
• 2:46
Speaker 1: system's broken. People like the lady who wrote the article
• 2:49
Speaker 1: we're going to discuss today love that it's broken. And
• 2:56
Speaker 1: the fact that she would be defending Ghislaine Maxwell and
• 3:00
Speaker 1: crying from the rooftops that Ghislaine Maxwell is not really
• 3:05
Speaker 1: an evil person. That Ghislaine Maxwell is really just being
• 3:12
Speaker 1: used as a scapegoat because Epstein isn't here. That's basically
• 3:15
Speaker 1: the gist of her article. And you know and I
• 3:19
Speaker 1: know that that is a bunch of damn hooey. So
• 3:24
Speaker 1: as much as I hate even giving Newsmax any treadspin here,
• 3:30
Speaker 1: we're going to dive into the rag of Newsmax. And
• 3:32
Speaker 1: we're going to read this article from Johnna Spilbor. And
• 3:37
Speaker 1: we're going to take it apart piece by piece because
• 3:40
Speaker 1: that's what these sort of articles deserve. They deserve an
• 3:44
Speaker 1: absolute evisceration. All right. Newsmax.com. Headline. Ghislaine Maxwell paying for
• 3:53
Speaker 1: the sins of others. Right off the jump, right? The
• 3:56
Speaker 1: headline alone, for people like us who know about this case,
• 4:00
Speaker 1: who have been following this case, and especially the survivors, what,
• 4:03
Speaker 1: you think the survivors don't see a headline like this
• 4:06
Speaker 1: and feel sick to their stomachs? After all that's been
• 4:10
Speaker 1: brought forward, after all of the evidence that has been
• 4:13
Speaker 1: produced into the public sphere, Jonas Bilbor still thinks it's
• 4:18
Speaker 1: a good idea to defend the bipedal serpent. And that's
• 4:22
Speaker 1: well within her rights. No problem. You can defend her.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: But get ready for people to criticize that defense. Get
• 4:31
Speaker 1: ready for people to pick it apart. And for somebody
• 4:35
Speaker 1: who claims to be a great lawyer, somebody with a
• 4:37
Speaker 1: radio show, somebody who's on TV, you sure are taking
• 4:42
Speaker 1: up an indefensible position. So either your strategy is bad or...
• 4:51
Speaker 1: You don't really believe this, and you're just trying to
• 4:54
Speaker 1: get clicks on your article. I'm going to have to
• 4:58
Speaker 1: go probably with number one, though, because from what I've
• 5:01
Speaker 1: seen from the contributors of Newsmax, this is an absolute
• 5:07
Speaker 1: dumpster fire clown show. An absolute joke is what the
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: Newsmax is. I can't read that trash. I can't read
• 5:17
Speaker 1: that echo chamber trash. And then you add on the
• 5:21
Speaker 1: fact that they have Dershowitz as part of their group.
• 5:24
Speaker 1: Not sorry. I will not support anything. Listen to me
• 5:27
Speaker 1: very clearly, folks. Anything that Alan Dershowitz is involved in
• 5:31
Speaker 1: and anybody who brings Alan Dershowitz on board as far
• 5:35
Speaker 1: as politicians or otherwise automatically loses support right away and
• 5:39
Speaker 1: becomes questionable of character. That's exactly that's just where I'm
• 5:45
Speaker 1: at right now. And this whole entire outlet of Newsmax
• 5:52
Speaker 1: is trash. I haven't even gotten to the idiot Wayne
• 5:56
Speaker 1: Allen Root who's from Las Vegas. That guy's an absolute
• 5:59
Speaker 1: moron as well. A grifter. A snake oil salesman. And
• 6:07
Speaker 1: an absolute buffoon. So it doesn't and it shouldn't shock
• 6:13
Speaker 1: me that they're all together at Newsmax. But here we are. So,
• 6:20
Speaker 1: with that out of the way, let's jump into this
• 6:23
Speaker 1: article by Jonna Spilbor. Ghislaine Maxwell is gearing up for
• 6:28
Speaker 1: a second bite at the bale apple. This time should
• 6:32
Speaker 1: be the charm. Now, this article was authored and published
• 6:37
Speaker 1: on December 21st. So, it was before the second bale hearing, right?
• 6:43
Speaker 1: Before Judge Nathan smacked Ghislaine Maxwell down and told her,
• 6:47
Speaker 1: as they would say in German... Nine. So, this is
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Spillbore pushing for Ghislaine Maxwell to get bail before the
• 6:56
Speaker 1: actual hearing with Nathan. Since July, Maxwell, the bipedal serpent,
• 7:04
Speaker 1: has been sequestered at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn,
• 7:09
Speaker 1: facing allegations stemming from her prior association with the late
• 7:13
Speaker 1: financier turned convicted sex offender, pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein. the bulk
• 7:19
Speaker 1: of which accused Maxwell of recruiting, and she has it
• 7:22
Speaker 1: in quotes, underage women to satisfy Epstein's apparent sexual proclivity
• 7:28
Speaker 1: for the same. And right off the bat, Jonna Spilbor
• 7:32
Speaker 1: is showing that she has no idea about the true
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: essence of this case. You're a high-profile lawyer? Again, you're
• 7:40
Speaker 1: right up there with your boy L. Lynn Wood, obviously.
• 7:43
Speaker 1: Are you guys all having some brekkie with Bigfoot this morning?
• 7:48
Speaker 1: What an absolute load of hooey. Air quotes around recruiting? Yeah,
• 7:53
Speaker 1: because that never happened. What are you, opining for the job,
• 7:56
Speaker 1: Jonas Bilbor? Are you trying to get yourself on to
• 8:00
Speaker 1: the bipedal Serpents team? Sure seems like that's where you're pointing.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: Because anyone who is defending Ghislaine Maxwell at this point
• 8:12
Speaker 1: is truly showing their own true colors. Maxwell's original bid
• 8:19
Speaker 1: for Bell was rejected by U.S. District Judge Allison J. Nathan,
• 8:24
Speaker 1: who posited that Maxwell's risk of flight was so great,
• 8:28
Speaker 1: even the most restrictive conditions of release would be insufficient
• 8:32
Speaker 1: to ensure her return to court. This decision was surprising
• 8:36
Speaker 1: to most legal scholars because it signaled an unquestioned acceptance
• 8:41
Speaker 1: of the prosecution's proffers while ignoring history, justness, and law.
• 8:48
Speaker 1: And this is one of my biggest problems with this. Okay,
• 8:51
Speaker 1: you ready? While ignoring history, justness, and law. F your history, alright?
• 8:57
Speaker 1: Like Sandor Clegane said, F your water, bring me wine.
• 9:03
Speaker 1: That's the same way I feel here. Nobody cares about
• 9:07
Speaker 1: the history. I don't care that a bunch of rich
• 9:10
Speaker 1: people have gotten off in the past or have made bail.
• 9:12
Speaker 1: That's what this is all about. This is about changing
• 9:15
Speaker 1: all of that. And Jonas Bilboor is just, let's go
• 9:18
Speaker 1: along to get along. I'm part of the problem. I'm
• 9:21
Speaker 1: part of the Borg. So what does she do? She
• 9:27
Speaker 1: takes up the position of defending somebody like Ghislaine Maxwell.
• 9:32
Speaker 1: Because really what she's doing here and what she's trying
• 9:35
Speaker 1: to get across, the point she's trying to get across,
• 9:38
Speaker 1: is that she loves the way the system is set
• 9:40
Speaker 1: up because it maximizes... In its July 14th decision, the
• 9:52
Speaker 1: court erroneously concluded that Maxwell's financial means and foreign citizenships
• 9:57
Speaker 1: would afford her the ability to flee the country. despite
• 10:01
Speaker 1: being tethered to the Southern District of New York by
• 10:04
Speaker 1: a GPS tracking device, a common tool for that purpose
• 10:08
Speaker 1: and one worn by the many moneyed predecessors who have
• 10:12
Speaker 1: or are facing equally harsh or harsher charges in federal court.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: Nathan's obtuse reasoning would have one believing for Maxwell, escaping
• 10:22
Speaker 1: a global positioning device affixed to her ankle would be
• 10:26
Speaker 1: as easy as slipping out of a Cartier cuff. Yeah,
• 10:30
Speaker 1: it would be, okay? And your problem here is? A
• 10:34
Speaker 1: common tool for that purpose? And one worn by the
• 10:37
Speaker 1: many moneyed predecessors? That's the problem. That's what needs to end.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: And that's the whole point that you're missing, John, a spillboard.
• 10:44
Speaker 1: You're part of the problem. You're not part of the solution.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: You are part of the problem and you need to
• 10:50
Speaker 1: be called out on it. This isn't about Ghislaine Maxwell even.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: This is about, in my opinion, about your own views.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: About you, someone who knows how to navigate this system.
• 11:00
Speaker 1: Someone knows how to use this system and someone who
• 11:03
Speaker 1: has used it to gain max profit. And you don't
• 11:07
Speaker 1: want that gravy train going anywhere. You don't want that
• 11:09
Speaker 1: golden goose fleeced. Everything's perfect for you, isn't it? While
• 11:14
Speaker 1: the rest of us continue to get shit on by
• 11:17
Speaker 1: this corrupt justice system. By, in your own very words,
• 11:22
Speaker 1: all of the predecessors of hers. All of the other
• 11:26
Speaker 1: rich people that got out. That is the problem. And
• 11:30
Speaker 1: that is what needs to be solved here, Johnna Spilbor.
• 11:33
Speaker 1: And that's what we're going to keep pushing for. Whether
• 11:36
Speaker 1: you like it or not. The judge was wrong. No, Ms. Spilbor,
• 11:42
Speaker 1: you're wrong. Okay? And I'm not talking about from a
• 11:45
Speaker 1: legal sense. I don't know the legalese. You definitely know
• 11:49
Speaker 1: the legalese better than I do. But I know this.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: The system is broken. The system is corrupt. And you
• 11:56
Speaker 1: are part of it. You continuously play your part to
• 12:00
Speaker 1: make sure that this system stays corrupt. Where's your big
• 12:03
Speaker 1: write-up on the kids in the hood? that are in prison?
• 12:07
Speaker 1: Where's your big write-up on all of the black people
• 12:10
Speaker 1: who have been stolen from their homes via the drug war?
• 12:13
Speaker 1: Where is your big write-up on that? It's nowhere to
• 12:16
Speaker 1: be found because it's about your high-profile clients. It's about
• 12:20
Speaker 1: you maximizing your wealth. That's certainly the way it seems, Ms. Spillbore.
• 12:27
Speaker 1: Since then, Maxwell's conditions in custody have proven, in a word, punitive.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: and seriously impinging on her ability to assist in her
• 12:37
Speaker 1: own defense, down to and including waking her every 15 minutes,
• 12:43
Speaker 1: excessive searching and full body scans, guards and cameras that
• 12:47
Speaker 1: follow her every move, and maskless open mouth exposure to
• 12:52
Speaker 1: guards who have been in proximity to inmates that have
• 12:55
Speaker 1: tested positive for COVID-19. Regardless of the nature of charges
• 13:00
Speaker 1: or the public sentiment surrounding them, No American should be
• 13:04
Speaker 1: treated this way. Oh, yeah, well, where are you for
• 13:08
Speaker 1: all of the people I was just talking about? All
• 13:11
Speaker 1: of the disenfranchised people of color, poor white people, and
• 13:16
Speaker 1: everybody else in between. Where are you out there gunning
• 13:20
Speaker 1: for them and helping them? Where are you writing these
• 13:22
Speaker 1: big articles admonishing the system for destroying their lives? You're
• 13:27
Speaker 1: nowhere to be found, Spielberg. You're just another loudmouth, part
• 13:31
Speaker 1: of the elite circle. Laying down cover fire for your buddies. Luckily,
• 13:41
Speaker 1: the law allows Maxwell to take another shot. And this time,
• 13:45
Speaker 1: it's her best. Again, in hindsight, you don't know what
• 13:48
Speaker 1: you're talking about, obviously, Ms. Billboard. You're right up there
• 13:51
Speaker 1: on the list of L. Lynn Wood, Hillary Clinton, and
• 13:58
Speaker 1: Sidney Powell. On lawyers, I would not hire, okay? You
• 14:04
Speaker 1: bunch of morons. With the benefit of hindsight and the
• 14:09
Speaker 1: ramifications of a pandemic wreaking havoc inside the prison walls,
• 14:13
Speaker 1: Maxwell is prepared to pull out all of the stops,
• 14:17
Speaker 1: including a nearly $ 23 million personal recognizance bond secured by
• 14:22
Speaker 1: Maxwell's entire net worth, as well as her husband's, yes,
• 14:26
Speaker 1: she has one, And another $ 5 million from numerous others
• 14:30
Speaker 1: who love and support her. She has those too. Um, well,
• 14:36
Speaker 1: we've proven that this is a bunch of BS, okay?
• 14:39
Speaker 1: The judge certainly doesn't agree. The public doesn't agree. Prosecution
• 14:45
Speaker 1: doesn't agree. And all we have is her word about
• 14:48
Speaker 1: any of this, including the treatment within the jail. Nobody
• 14:54
Speaker 1: has come out and corroborated that. Judge Nathan certainly hasn't
• 14:57
Speaker 1: said that her living conditions are atrocious. In fact, Judge
• 15:00
Speaker 1: Nathan stated the opposite. And as far as COVID goes,
• 15:05
Speaker 1: she is not at risk with any morbidities, comorbidities, or
• 15:11
Speaker 1: any sort of ailments. From all accounts, she's a healthy
• 15:15
Speaker 1: and non-sick person. So, guess what? Like the rest of us, what?
• 15:20
Speaker 1: We don't have the risk of catching the vid when
• 15:23
Speaker 1: we have to go to the store or go to
• 15:24
Speaker 1: work or whatever the hell we do? Guess what? Part
• 15:27
Speaker 1: of life. We chose not to hang out with Jeffrey
• 15:30
Speaker 1: Epstein and abuse people. She chose to do the opposite.
• 15:33
Speaker 1: Guess what? Made your bed, lie in it. And if
• 15:36
Speaker 1: you want, make a little bit of room so Jonas
• 15:39
Speaker 1: Spielberg can come in there and you can cry on
• 15:41
Speaker 1: her shoulder. And a most unusual... Perhaps unprecedented twist, the
• 15:48
Speaker 1: security company, which is to guard her at her expense,
• 15:52
Speaker 1: is prepared to put up a million dollars of its
• 15:54
Speaker 1: own money to guarantee that they won't let her slip away.
• 15:57
Speaker 1: A million dollars is pocket change to these people, okay?
• 16:03
Speaker 1: Are we not talking about the same people here, Ms. Spielberg?
• 16:07
Speaker 1: We're talking about some of the richest people in the
• 16:09
Speaker 1: world with all sorts of assets. A million dollars. And what,
• 16:16
Speaker 1: the security company that we don't even know the name
• 16:19
Speaker 1: of is we should just take it at face value
• 16:21
Speaker 1: that they're great at their job? Because the guy has
• 16:24
Speaker 1: a British accent and says he used to work for
• 16:26
Speaker 1: the SAS? We should just take him at face value? Sorry,
• 16:31
Speaker 1: none of this makes sense. It didn't make sense when
• 16:35
Speaker 1: the request occurred. It doesn't make sense now that it's
• 16:37
Speaker 1: been denied. And again, Jonas Bilboer Alan Dershowitz and Newsmax
• 16:48
Speaker 1: is probably legitimately a top five worst outlet in the business.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: Maxwell has also, through counsel, enlisted experts both here and
• 17:04
Speaker 1: abroad to provide legal and other insurances to the court
• 17:08
Speaker 1: that Should she wake up one day, stark raving mad,
• 17:11
Speaker 1: and decide to flee, it literally would be impossible for
• 17:14
Speaker 1: her to get six feet outside the designed curtilage before
• 17:18
Speaker 1: privately paid security guards would release the hounds and pounce.
• 17:22
Speaker 1: So she's really pumping this right here, right? She's really
• 17:25
Speaker 1: pumping this. Just like the Jeffrey Epstein guards were going
• 17:28
Speaker 1: to make sure he didn't abuse anybody, right, Jonas Bilbor?
• 17:31
Speaker 1: Just like the sheriff's deputies that Epstein paid out of
• 17:35
Speaker 1: his own pocket, by the way, We're going to make
• 17:37
Speaker 1: sure nobody got abused. Shut up, Jonas Bilbor, all right?
• 17:42
Speaker 1: That's really all I have to say to this lady.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: And I'd love to have a conversation with her one-on-one.
• 17:48
Speaker 1: If she'd like to come on to the podcast, her
• 17:51
Speaker 1: and Brian Basham can come on together and I'll absolutely
• 17:55
Speaker 1: eviscerate the both of them at the same time. Gladly.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: Because this sort of nonsense, this sort of write-up is...
• 18:06
Speaker 1: garbage this is complete propaganda it's not rooted in fact
• 18:12
Speaker 1: or in truth and it's kind of curious that Newsmax
• 18:17
Speaker 1: who employs Alan Dershowitz is such an ardent defender of
• 18:20
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein at what seems like every
• 18:24
Speaker 1: single turn I bet if they could use this some
• 18:28
Speaker 1: way against Joe Biden however oh Newsmax would be all
• 18:32
Speaker 1: over it gotta love the tribalism don't you folks In
• 18:37
Speaker 1: the long history of similar situated defendants whose cases wound
• 18:42
Speaker 1: their way through the halls of Foley Square, Ghislaine Maxwell's
• 18:46
Speaker 1: proposed conditions of release are so strict they're utterly airtight.
• 18:51
Speaker 1: Some would say overkill. There was no sound reason for
• 18:55
Speaker 1: her bail to be denied before and even less of
• 18:58
Speaker 1: one now. Flight risk. An abuser, sealed indictment still coming,
• 19:04
Speaker 1: part of a conspiracy, great means to escape, close to
• 19:07
Speaker 1: the Canadian border. Do I need to keep going, Spillbore?
• 19:11
Speaker 1: Or have you had enough? Do you want to continue
• 19:14
Speaker 1: to have your ridiculous opinion savaged? Or have you decided
• 19:18
Speaker 1: to shut your yap? And focus on some car crashes.
• 19:21
Speaker 1: Or whatever sort of ambulance chasing. You're good at. Because this.
• 19:26
Speaker 1: What you're doing here. Is certainly not something to put
• 19:28
Speaker 1: on your resume. It's certainly not something to point at.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: And say hey look at my opinion. About the Ghislaine
• 19:33
Speaker 1: Maxwell case. Hire me as a lawyer. There's just no
• 19:36
Speaker 1: legitimate reason. That anyone. Especially a trained lawyer. Would have
• 19:41
Speaker 1: this thought process. Unless of course. They're just trying to
• 19:45
Speaker 1: run cover. Maxwell's. Maxwell's latest request for bail literally pulls
• 19:54
Speaker 1: out all the stops addressing each point on Judge Nathan's
• 19:57
Speaker 1: seemingly preordained list of reasons to deny the original request
• 20:02
Speaker 1: in a manner so copious that it's almost a surprise
• 20:06
Speaker 1: the government objected at all no it's not okay it's
• 20:09
Speaker 1: not a surprise the government objected because this lady is
• 20:13
Speaker 1: an extreme flight risk this lady has passports in two
• 20:17
Speaker 1: different countries and a country that doesn't extradite its citizens
• 20:21
Speaker 1: so what are you even talking about you're out here
• 20:27
Speaker 1: championing this bipedal serpent acting like the justice system is
• 20:31
Speaker 1: completely coming down on her so harshly. Meanwhile, in literally
• 20:37
Speaker 1: every single lockup around the country, you can find somebody
• 20:40
Speaker 1: who is being treated way worse than Ghislaine Maxwell has
• 20:43
Speaker 1: ever been treated while in custody. But you're not running
• 20:46
Speaker 1: around flapping your gums about that. You're not talking out
• 20:50
Speaker 1: of the side of your neck about that, are you? No,
• 20:53
Speaker 1: you're here defending another one of your fellow travelers, another
• 20:58
Speaker 1: elbow rubber. Well, Spillbore, you might have thought that this
• 21:03
Speaker 1: one slipped by us, but guess what? It did not.
• 21:08
Speaker 1: But it did. Not nearly with the same point-counterpoint precision
• 21:14
Speaker 1: of its adversary. Instead, the government's opposition can be summed
• 21:18
Speaker 1: up in two words. Ignore it. The fact that Ghislaine
• 21:25
Speaker 1: Maxwell would forfeit her entire net worth, were she to flee,
• 21:29
Speaker 1: not to mention $ 5 million in assets belonging to friends
• 21:32
Speaker 1: and family? Just ignore it, says the government. Yeah, just
• 21:36
Speaker 1: ignore it, you're right. You act like we know that's
• 21:39
Speaker 1: her whole entire fortune. It's like the people who point
• 21:42
Speaker 1: to someone's tax return and say, look, it's not on
• 21:45
Speaker 1: the tax return, so they obviously didn't get that money. Uh, what?
• 21:49
Speaker 1: We don't know how much money Ghislaine Maxwell has, really.
• 21:52
Speaker 1: We don't know what her true fortune is. And this
• 21:55
Speaker 1: whole argument that she'd be giving up on her fortune,
• 21:58
Speaker 1: it's ridiculous, okay? First of all, we have no idea
• 22:01
Speaker 1: what that fortune is. We don't know if this money
• 22:04
Speaker 1: is all the money she has. And even if it was,
• 22:07
Speaker 1: it's still not enough for what she's accused of. Or
• 22:14
Speaker 1: that Maxwell would not only be electronically monitored upon her release,
• 22:18
Speaker 1: but would have private around-the-clock surveillance? Ignore that too, they say.
• 22:22
Speaker 1: along with Maxwell's willingness to execute a waiver of international extradition.
• 22:28
Speaker 1: The waiver wouldn't matter, okay? Let me just be clear.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: The courts don't recognize the waiver if the courts don't
• 22:34
Speaker 1: administer it. So you think the French courts are just gonna,
• 22:38
Speaker 1: oh yeah, okay, that's cool. We got a waiver here.
• 22:40
Speaker 1: That's not how this works, okay? And the surveillance, Epstein
• 22:45
Speaker 1: was under surveillance. He was still abusing people according to
• 22:47
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands and Denise George. Security, same deal. So,
• 22:52
Speaker 1: this has already been tried, Spillbore, and it failed. How
• 22:57
Speaker 1: about the long list of wealthy foreign nationals who were
• 23:01
Speaker 1: previously granted bail before this very court, or the letter
• 23:04
Speaker 1: of the law, for that matter, seemingly applicable to everyone
• 23:08
Speaker 1: except Ghislaine Maxwell? The government figuratively waves it all off
• 23:13
Speaker 1: with a dismissive nec-refert. Look, All of those other people
• 23:20
Speaker 1: that got off before her should not have. And that's
• 23:23
Speaker 1: the point you seem to miss here, Spillbore. And that's
• 23:25
Speaker 1: the point I'm trying to drive home. You want the
• 23:28
Speaker 1: wheel to just keep spinning around. I want to smash
• 23:31
Speaker 1: the wheel. I want this all to be fixed. I
• 23:34
Speaker 1: want a fair justice system. Equal law and equal justice.
• 23:42
Speaker 1: And to act like Ghislaine Maxwell is being treated... badly
• 23:48
Speaker 1: right now considering all of the people who are really
• 23:51
Speaker 1: locked up in real facilities who are really being treated
• 23:55
Speaker 1: rough it's disgusting and offensive while Maxwell's release on bonds
• 24:03
Speaker 1: should be a foregone conclusion her guilt is far from
• 24:06
Speaker 1: it again notwithstanding the bang of the hounds in the
• 24:10
Speaker 1: press aww the hounds in the press huh they're the
• 24:13
Speaker 1: ones who have the problem here First of all, there's
• 24:18
Speaker 1: no baying in the press, okay? Where's the New York Times?
• 24:22
Speaker 1: Where's the Washington Post? Where's all of these big outlets?
• 24:25
Speaker 1: The Grey Lady. Nowhere to be found. Too busy dicking
• 24:30
Speaker 1: around with their political tribalism. So easy with the press,
• 24:33
Speaker 1: all right? You have some independent content creators, some investigative journalists,
• 24:38
Speaker 1: and then the survivors themselves. Nobody has helped them. The
• 24:42
Speaker 1: survivors themselves came up with their own methods to get
• 24:46
Speaker 1: the message out to the people that bypassed the legacy media.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: So please, enough with the braying of the media, this
• 24:53
Speaker 1: excuse that the media is the one that had Ghislaine
• 24:56
Speaker 1: Maxwell in hiding. Stop it. Despite her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,
• 25:03
Speaker 1: Maxwell was never on a wanted poster or running from
• 25:06
Speaker 1: the law. Oh my God, Spielberg, you're a moron. I
• 25:09
Speaker 1: don't even know what else to say besides that this
• 25:11
Speaker 1: lady is an absolute moron. If she wasn't guilty of
• 25:16
Speaker 1: anything and she wasn't going to be convicted of anything,
• 25:19
Speaker 1: why is she involved in the non-prosecution agreement, Spillmore? Why
• 25:23
Speaker 1: didn't she waive her involvement with that if she's so innocent?
• 25:32
  Speaker 1: She won't. She can't. Because she's guilty. Prior to Epstein's
• 25:38
Speaker 1: death back in August of 2019, Maxwell was living her
• 25:42
Speaker 1: life far away from his. A respectable family life which
• 25:45
Speaker 1: entailed charitable work and making meaningful contributions to society. Were
• 25:50
Speaker 1: it not for the newly resurrected sins of an old boyfriend,
• 25:54
Speaker 1: Maxwell never would have become the fodder for such unceasing contempt. No,
• 25:59
Speaker 1: if she didn't abuse girls with Jeffrey Epstein, she wouldn't
• 26:03
Speaker 1: have been under this assault of criticism. And contempt? How
• 26:09
Speaker 1: about you have a little bit of contempt for her
• 26:11
Speaker 1: or Jeffrey Epstein, Spielberg? Sure seems like what you're doing
• 26:14
Speaker 1: here is protecting them. Like I said before, are you
• 26:18
Speaker 1: applying for the job? I mean, you'd be perfect on
• 26:21
Speaker 1: the team of morons that she's assembled already. Go ahead
• 26:24
Speaker 1: over there. Muddy up the water some more. Maybe you'll
• 26:29
Speaker 1: have a cool post like L. Lynn Wood soon telling
• 26:31
Speaker 1: us that Epstein's alive in a poker game with Jim
• 26:34
Speaker 1: Morrison and Elvis. The whole lot of you people are crazy.
• 26:38
Speaker 1: Straight up. There is but one place Maxwell can escape,
• 26:47
Speaker 1: and that is in our justice system. Nope, she's not
• 26:50
Speaker 1: escaping there. There's no technicalities for her to escape on
• 26:53
Speaker 1: this time, Spillbore, and she's certainly not going to get
• 26:57
Speaker 1: off on the merits of her innocence. Maxwell is not
• 27:01
Speaker 1: only presumed innocent, but steadfastly proclaims it. In any case
• 27:05
Speaker 1: like this one, with old, unsupported, and differing versions of events,
• 27:10
Speaker 1: the credibility of the accusers will be called into question.
• 27:14
Speaker 1: It is an inevitable, inalienable right to confront one's accusers.
• 27:19
Speaker 1: Yet to date, the government continues to hide their identities. Ironic,
• 27:24
Speaker 1: to say the least, when the accusers have all but
• 27:27
Speaker 1: outed themselves on Twitter, Netflix, and anywhere social justice is sold.
• 27:32
Speaker 1: So she's victim blaming here. Not only... Is this... Disgusting... Hag...
• 27:39
Speaker 1: Defending Ghislaine Maxwell... She's blaming the survivors... For taking to
• 27:43
Speaker 1: social media... To tell their story... And what she's forgetting...
• 27:49
Speaker 1: Is the... All the hundreds of unnamed girls... That were...
• 27:52
Speaker 1: That are still too scared to come forward... And be
• 27:55
Speaker 1: out in the public... This lady... Is abhorrent... This Jonna Spillbore...
• 28:03
Speaker 1: And her and Alan Dershowitz... Are the perfect... co-workers. Can
• 28:07
Speaker 1: you imagine that meeting? What those sort of employee meetings
• 28:12
Speaker 1: must be like? Sure, those Christmas parties are a gas.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: But social justice is no replacement for actual justice. I
• 28:20
Speaker 1: actually agree with that. 100%. I'm certainly not one of
• 28:24
Speaker 1: these social justice warrior type people. And you'll never see
• 28:28
Speaker 1: me running around and advocating all kinds of stuff like that.
• 28:32
Speaker 1: That's just not who I am. But what I do
• 28:37
Speaker 1: like to talk about and get involved when I see
• 28:41
Speaker 1: something going wrong is something like this. All right, this
• 28:44
Speaker 1: isn't about social justice. This isn't about people trying to
• 28:47
Speaker 1: push social justice on the Twitter or anywhere else as
• 28:52
Speaker 1: part of the cultural war. These people are disgusting. These
• 28:56
Speaker 1: people are gross. And Ghislaine Maxwell is at the top
• 29:00
Speaker 1: of the list when it comes to scumbags. Despite the
• 29:06
Speaker 1: pomp in the press, the case against Ghislaine Maxwell is,
• 29:10
Speaker 1: as far as I can tell, weak. This is another
• 29:12
Speaker 1: crucial consideration for Judge Nathan to revisit. You were wrong again.
• 29:17
Speaker 1: You don't know what you're talking about, obviously. How many
• 29:19
Speaker 1: articles have you read there, Spillbore? How many pages of
• 29:22
Speaker 1: court documents have you poured over? I'm guessing none. And
• 29:25
Speaker 1: I'm guessing this opinion is just based on reading other
• 29:29
Speaker 1: Newsmax articles. Would you sit down and have a conversation
• 29:32
Speaker 1: with your buddy Dershowitz? Was he wearing underwear? Were you
• 29:35
Speaker 1: guys at a naked volleyball game? Inquiring minds want to know,
• 29:39
Speaker 1: Miss Spillbork. While some may wish to paint the case
• 29:31
Speaker 1: against Maxwell as one involving minor victims, the accusers are
• 29:34
Speaker 1: not kids. They are adults. The allegations are decades old
• 29:36
Speaker 1: and highly contested. Both the court and prosecution agree Maxwell
• 29:57
Speaker 1: is not a threat or danger to society. The point
• 30:00
Speaker 1: was made repeatedly by Judge Nathan in her prior decision.
• 30:05
Speaker 1: Maybe not a threat to society as in she's going
• 30:08
Speaker 1: to go out and shoot people. But she's certainly a
• 30:12
Speaker 1: threat to society. What, she's above threatening these girls? She's
• 30:16
Speaker 1: done it already. How about taking a passport from a girl...
• 30:20
Speaker 1: And then threatening that the only way for her to
• 30:22
Speaker 1: get away is to swim from an island through shark
• 30:25
Speaker 1: infested water back to America. Yeah, not a threat to society.
• 30:32
Speaker 1: Judge Nathan needs to show to the bar, to the
• 30:34
Speaker 1: American public, indeed the world, regardless of the defendant and
• 30:39
Speaker 1: regardless of the charges, that her court is a place
• 30:42
Speaker 1: of reason and the rule of law and not a
• 30:45
Speaker 1: vehicle for unsupported sensational accusations. This is unsupported. Literally hundreds
• 30:51
Speaker 1: of girls have come forward. I cannot wait for the
• 30:54
Speaker 1: trial when all of these girls come forward and point
• 30:57
Speaker 1: directly at Maxwell and say, this is who abused me.
• 31:01
Speaker 1: This is who ruined my life. And then after all
• 31:06
Speaker 1: said and done, when Ghislaine Maxwell is prosecuted and Ghislaine
• 31:10
Speaker 1: Maxwell is convicted, we're going to have a spike the
• 31:15
Speaker 1: ball party here on the podcast. And we are going
• 31:18
Speaker 1: to absolutely dance on the opinions of these moronic people
• 31:27
Speaker 1: like Joanna Spilbor. The biggest point of all, Ghislaine Maxwell
• 31:32
Speaker 1: is not Jeffrey Epstein. No, she's almost worse. A woman
• 31:38
Speaker 1: who gets the confidence of these girls, grooms them, brings
• 31:41
Speaker 1: them to Epstein, and not only just for his pleasure,
• 31:44
Speaker 1: but so she can abuse them as well. And furthermore,
• 31:49
Speaker 1: it is a big time stretch to say that these
• 31:52
Speaker 1: are not children. These are grown women. They were abused
• 31:55
Speaker 1: as kids. So we're just supposed to forget that? Let's
• 31:58
Speaker 1: just forget it. No big deal. They were abused as kids.
• 32:00
Speaker 1: Let's move on. That was years ago. These sick-ass people
• 32:05
Speaker 1: at Newsmax. This absolute rag. Why anyone would tune into
• 32:11
Speaker 1: this garbage? I have no idea. For Maxwell to receive
• 32:19
Speaker 1: a fair trial, it's imperative to stop confusing the two.
• 32:22
Speaker 1: Having a friend who's an alcoholic doesn't make one a drunk. Well,
• 32:27
Speaker 1: if you hang out in the barber shop long enough,
• 32:30
Speaker 1: you're bound to get a cut. Fellow travelers, associates, co-conspirators.
• 32:40
Speaker 1: When Ghislaine Maxwell says she wants to fight the charges
• 32:42
Speaker 1: to the finish, clear her name, and then manage to
• 32:45
Speaker 1: marshal a small army to stand with her for that purpose,
• 32:49
Speaker 1: perhaps that is why. Did you forget that Jeffrey Epstein
• 32:53
Speaker 1: did the same exact thing? How did that turn out?
• 32:57
Speaker 1: You see, people like Spillbore, they love the system just
• 33:00
Speaker 1: how it is, folks. They love that people like you
• 33:03
Speaker 1: and I are under the boot. They love that we're
• 33:06
Speaker 1: under heel. And she loves that she really has the power.
• 33:11
Speaker 1: She's a lawyer, big time news... I mean, big time
• 33:14
Speaker 1: radio host, etc., etc. She never has to worry about
• 33:17
Speaker 1: being abused by anybody. She's friends with all of the abusers.
• 33:24
Speaker 1: But she's going to have to live with these articles
• 33:27
Speaker 1: when all is said and done. What, these articles are
• 33:28
Speaker 1: going to go away? Hell no. She's going to have
• 33:33
Speaker 1: to live with these articles, with what she has said here,
• 33:36
Speaker 1: and the defense of Ghislaine Maxwell. And you better believe...
• 33:40
Speaker 1: after Maxwell is convicted, we will be doing a dance
• 33:48
Speaker 1: on the opinions of people like Spielberg, Dershowitz, and any
• 33:52
Speaker 1: of these other hacks in the media who lay down
• 33:56
Speaker 1: cover fire for Jeffrey Epstein or his associates. If you'd
• 34:02
Speaker 1: like to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci
• 34:04
  Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find
• 34:13
Speaker 1: me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. All of the
• 34:20
Speaker 1: links that go with this episode can be found in
• 34:23
Speaker 1: the description box. And to all of you who... This
• 34:26
Speaker 1: goofy MF, Geraldo Rivera... thinks it's a good idea that
• 34:33
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell gets bail. He thought it was such a
• 34:38
Speaker 1: good idea, in fact, that he blasted the judge after
• 34:42
Speaker 1: she denied the bail request. As if Ghislaine Maxwell isn't
• 34:47
Speaker 1: a flight risk. As if Ghislaine Maxwell is not an
• 34:51
Speaker 1: imminent threat to leave the country. But now you have
• 34:56
Speaker 1: this goofy MF, Geraldo Rivera, trying to wax poetic and
• 35:04
Speaker 1: fight for Ghislaine Maxwell getting bail. What in the world
• 35:11
Speaker 1: could possibly motivate this clown to try and defend Ghislaine
• 35:16
Speaker 1: Maxwell being remanded to federal custody until her trial? It
• 35:22
Speaker 1: defies reason. I don't know how anybody can look at
• 35:25
Speaker 1: the facts of this case, the facts that are just
• 35:28
Speaker 1: available to us, and not think that Ghislaine Maxwell was
• 35:33
Speaker 1: an imminent threat to leave the country. Most certainly she was.
• 35:42
Speaker 1: But Geraldo Rivera, well, he thinks that she should have
• 35:45
Speaker 1: been bailed out, she should have went to the luxury hotel, yeah,
• 35:49
Speaker 1: throw an ankle monitor on her. as if those have
• 35:51
Speaker 1: never been tampered with, as if those have never been removed.
• 35:56
Speaker 1: And furthermore, what makes Ghislaine Maxwell so special that she
• 36:01
Speaker 1: should get bail? This is a child predator. We're not
• 36:04
Speaker 1: talking about somebody who got nailed with 15 or 20 kilos.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: Then I'd be like, yeah, let them bail them out.
• 36:11
Speaker 1: Give them the bail. They better get bail. we are
• 36:13
Speaker 1: talking about someone who abused children. And not only abused children,
• 36:19
Speaker 1: was involved in a wide-ranging money laundering scheme. It makes
• 36:27
Speaker 1: me wonder if Geraldo Rivera is suffering late stages of
• 36:31
Speaker 1: trauma in his life from a head injury or something
• 36:34
Speaker 1: because this guy is an absolute clown. There is no
• 36:40
Speaker 1: defense possible that you could put forward that would make
• 36:45
Speaker 1: me believe that Ghislaine Maxwell should get bail. But here
• 36:48
Speaker 1: we are, and this epic moron, Geraldo Rivera, is making
• 36:52
Speaker 1: the case. Our article today is from Fox News. The
• 36:57
Speaker 1: headline is, Geraldo Rivera accuses judge who denied Ghislaine Maxwell
• 37:01
Speaker 1: bail of copping out to the mob. What a clown.
• 37:05
Speaker 1: The author of the article is Yale Halon. Fox News
• 37:10
Speaker 1: correspondent at large, Geraldo Rivera, accused the New York federal
• 37:14
Speaker 1: judge presiding over Ghislaine Maxwell's case of copping out to
• 37:18
Speaker 1: the mob Tuesday after she denied the British socialite, co-conspirator,
• 37:23
Speaker 1: child abuser, general scumbag, bail request as she awaits trial
• 37:28
Speaker 1: on sex trafficking charges. So right out of the gate,
• 37:34
Speaker 1: Geraldo doesn't know what he's talking about here. What did
• 37:38
Speaker 1: he expect the judge to do? to grant this woman bail? Unacceptable.
• 37:45
Speaker 1: It is not even an option. And you heard from
• 37:47
Speaker 1: two of the survivors themselves who addressed the court. Do
• 37:51
Speaker 1: their feelings not matter? I mean, how could anyone who
• 37:59
Speaker 1: listened in on that hearing yesterday not agree with the
• 38:03
Speaker 1: remanding of Ghislaine Maxwell to federal custody? It is just
• 38:07
Speaker 1: such a foreign perspective. I don't understand how anybody who
• 38:13
Speaker 1: is not just trying to be cute doesn't see that
• 38:19
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell is a risk to flee. It just defies
• 38:25
Speaker 1: the imagination. I think this was a political decision, Rivera
• 38:29
Speaker 1: asserted on Bill Hemmer Reports. I think that the question
• 38:32
Speaker 1: is not whether she committed these hideous offenses. The question
• 38:35
Speaker 1: is whether or not she would show up for trial.
• 38:38
Speaker 1: She bought a house in New Hampshire, for God's sakes.
• 38:41
Speaker 1: For goodness sakes, she went to all this trouble to
• 38:43
Speaker 1: stay in the country. Well, did you ever think that
• 38:46
Speaker 1: that might have had to do with her hubris and
• 38:49
Speaker 1: the fact that she was able to get away with
• 38:51
Speaker 1: this for so long? And in her arrogance, she thought
• 38:55
Speaker 1: that those who had protected her previously with Jeffrey Epstein
• 39:00
Speaker 1: were going to continue to do so. Because, we know,
• 39:04
Speaker 1: she has, supposedly, the documentation and the evidence that will
• 39:09
Speaker 1: put a bunch of powerful people on blast. Now, Ghislaine Maxwell, obviously,
• 39:21
Speaker 1: has intimate knowledge of what occurred with Jeffrey Epstein. She
• 39:25
Speaker 1: was his partner in crime. She was the shadow boss.
• 39:30
Speaker 1: And to think that Ghislaine Maxwell, now truly understanding the
• 39:39
Speaker 1: gravity of these charges that she's facing, to think that
• 39:42
Speaker 1: she would not bounce and try and get out of
• 39:45
Speaker 1: Dodge is just, it's silly to think that way. She's
• 39:50
Speaker 1: going to stick around and wait for the trial? She
• 39:53
Speaker 1: knows that she's guilty. She knows there's mountains of evidence.
• 39:56
Speaker 1: And she knows that other co-conspirators are about to be
• 39:59
Speaker 1: flipped to rat on her. Ghislaine Maxwell would have been
• 40:06
Speaker 1: on the first flight out of America if she could
• 40:10
Speaker 1: have figured it out. But the fact is, she is
• 40:14
Speaker 1: no longer useful to her handlers and And once that
• 40:18
Speaker 1: happens in their part of the world, in this sort
• 40:21
Speaker 1: of community, you are burned as an asset and jettisoned.
• 40:28
Speaker 1: They could take her passports, he went on. That's standard
• 40:30
Speaker 1: operating procedure. Yeah, okay, they could take her passports, but
• 40:33
Speaker 1: how do we know she can't get more? This isn't
• 40:36
Speaker 1: a woman who is just, you know, floating through life
• 40:39
Speaker 1: and happened to get caught up in some sex trafficking scheme.
• 40:44
Speaker 1: This is a woman of means, a woman of power.
• 40:47
Speaker 1: and a woman of great skill when it comes to manipulation.
• 40:56
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell has no business ever setting foot outside of
• 41:02
Speaker 1: a prison ever again. Rivera added the coronavirus risks in
• 41:09
Speaker 1: the awful Brooklyn detention center, as well as the very
• 41:12
Speaker 1: suspicious circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's death, Should have been enough
• 41:16
Speaker 1: to secure the 58-year-old's release. Okay, and then what, Geraldo? Mr.
• 41:22
Speaker 1: Geraldo Rivera, man of so many big ideas? Then what?
• 41:31
Speaker 1: The federal government provides guards to protect her at her
• 41:34
Speaker 1: luxury hotel? Negative. She'll be eating bologna? Nasty-ass oatmeal? and
• 41:42
Speaker 1: whatever other kind of gruel they slop down on her plate.
• 41:45
Speaker 1: She will not be getting room service while she's awaiting
• 41:50
Speaker 1: trial on these horrific charges. And the coronavirus nonsense? Give
• 41:58
Speaker 1: me a break. I am so sick and tired of
• 42:01
Speaker 1: the coronavirus being used in every quarter as an excuse
• 42:05
Speaker 1: for everything. Enough is enough, okay? The wheels of justice
• 42:11
Speaker 1: do not stop because you have the coronavirus or that
• 42:14
Speaker 1: there's an outbreak of it in the jail. And furthermore,
• 42:19
Speaker 1: New York has passed their peak. Ghislaine Maxwell has no
• 42:24
Speaker 1: underlying health conditions that we're aware of. She should not
• 42:28
Speaker 1: be able to use the coronavirus as an excuse to
• 42:31
Speaker 1: escape justice once again. And I believe that Judge Allison
• 42:35
Speaker 1: Nathan made the correct call. It doesn't make any sense,
• 42:40
Speaker 1: he said, before claiming that prosecutors in the case are
• 42:44
Speaker 1: doing this to put pressure on her. No shit, moron.
• 42:47
Speaker 1: No shit. That was exactly what I've said from the beginning.
• 42:50
Speaker 1: These initial charges are hold charges. These are not the
• 42:53
Speaker 1: only charges we're going to see, in my opinion. And Mr.
• 42:58
Speaker 1: Doofus Geraldo Rivera just said the same thing, basically. They're
• 43:04
Speaker 1: putting this pressure on her because they want her to rat.
• 43:08
Speaker 1: They want her to spill the beans. And they want
• 43:11
Speaker 1: the other co-conspirators to start to sweat. That's how this
• 43:14
Speaker 1: stuff works. If you're not familiar with federal cases... and
• 43:18
Speaker 1: you're one of those who are flipping out because, oh,
• 43:21
Speaker 1: the trial's in a year. This kind of thing takes
• 43:23
Speaker 1: a very long time. With some RICO cases, they're built
• 43:28
Speaker 1: over multiple years, three, four, five years in some cases.
• 43:33
Speaker 1: So it's not out of the norm for this case
• 43:35
Speaker 1: to be tried a year from now. There is a
• 43:39
Speaker 1: huge scope here, and it's a very broad and wide-ranging investigation.
• 43:45
Speaker 1: And it's not just going to end right here with
• 43:47
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell. That's just not likely. So Geraldo is answering
• 43:57
Speaker 1: his own question here. One of the main reasons to
• 44:00
Speaker 1: keep her in prison, one of the main reasons to
• 44:02
Speaker 1: keep her without bail is to continue to put the
• 44:06
Speaker 1: pressure on her. You want her to break. You want
• 44:09
Speaker 1: her to rat on everybody. That's the point, Geraldo. They
• 44:17
Speaker 1: are punishing her before conviction, Rivera argued. She has never
• 44:21
Speaker 1: been held liable in a civil suit, never been convicted
• 44:23
Speaker 1: of a crime. She is not Jeffrey Epstein. I think
• 44:27
Speaker 1: this is a terrible, punitive decision. Sounds just like, what
• 44:30
Speaker 1: did he get his talking points from Cohen? What did
• 44:33
Speaker 1: Mark Cohen come over to Geraldo Rivera's office and drop
• 44:37
Speaker 1: off the old talking points? Sure sounds that way. And furthermore?
• 44:43
Speaker 1: She settled in her civil suit because she didn't want
• 44:46
Speaker 1: to get to Discovery, you epic moron. How about you
• 44:50
Speaker 1: follow the case a little bit there, Mr. Geraldo, before
• 44:54
Speaker 1: you pipe up and open your fat, stupid yap. Criminal
• 45:00
Speaker 1: defense attorney, Johnna Spilber, largely agreed with Rivera, accusing U.S.
• 45:05
Speaker 1: District Judge Allison Nathan of lacking the courage to do
• 45:09
Speaker 1: what was really right in this. Are you kidding me
• 45:12
Speaker 1: right now? The government has been dicking these girls over,
• 45:15
Speaker 1: these survivors, for years. And you just want to go
• 45:18
Speaker 1: ahead and compound that problem and let Ghislaine Maxwell walk free?
• 45:22
Speaker 1: Hop on the next private jet provided to her by
• 45:25
Speaker 1: insert intelligence agency here and cut out? Because that's definitely
• 45:29
Speaker 1: a possibility. What do these people want? They want her
• 45:35
Speaker 1: to be free with an ankle bracelet, running around, living
• 45:38
Speaker 1: the life still? Well, that ship has sailed, okay? There
• 45:42
Speaker 1: has been a lack of justice in this case from
• 45:45
Speaker 1: the very beginning. So if Judge Allison Nathan wants to
• 45:50
Speaker 1: lay the hammer down, remand this lady to custody, and
• 45:54
Speaker 1: let the government sink their teeth in, then I am
• 45:57
Speaker 1: all for it. Geraldo Rivera and anyone else be damned.
• 46:03
Speaker 1: Nathan ruled Tuesday that Maxwell, accused of sexually abusing and
• 46:07
Speaker 1: exploiting young girls alongside the late convicted pedophile Epstein, posed
• 46:11
Speaker 1: too great a flight risk to be allowed to leave. 100%.
• 46:16
Speaker 1: We've went over that. She is definitely a flight risk, folks.
• 46:19
Speaker 1: Are you kidding me right now? On what planet does
• 46:23
Speaker 1: anyone believe that Ghislaine Maxwell is going to meekly sit
• 46:27
Speaker 1: around in her luxury hotel and not have the wheels
• 46:30
Speaker 1: turning on an escape plan? How long have I told
• 46:34
Speaker 1: you that it's about self-preservation for these serpents? And Ghislaine
• 46:38
Speaker 1: Maxwell is the master of self-preservation, folks. So if you
• 46:42
Speaker 1: think that Ghislaine didn't have five plans ready to hatch,
• 46:46
Speaker 1: you're wrong. She did. The judge emphasized that no combination
• 46:53
Speaker 1: of conditions would ensure that Maxwell wouldn't try to leave
• 46:56
Speaker 1: the country, noting her foreign connections and adding that she
• 46:59
Speaker 1: exhibited an extraordinary capacity to evade detection. Yeah, like aluminum
• 47:04
Speaker 1: foil on the phone, moving 36 times, not answering summons
• 47:08
Speaker 1: by judges. It goes on and on. Okay? These aren't
• 47:13
Speaker 1: the behaviors of somebody who's trying to avoid the press.
• 47:16
Speaker 1: It's such a laughable argument. It is so full of
• 47:20
Speaker 1: holes that it's not even worth punching more into their
• 47:24
Speaker 1: stupid ass defense at this point. We are not supposed
• 47:28
Speaker 1: to discriminate against people, not in our criminal justice system,
• 47:32
Speaker 1: based on whether they have money or don't have money,
• 47:34
Speaker 1: Spillbore said. What is your point? What does this have
• 47:38
Speaker 1: to do with money? What do you think, they're trying
• 47:40
Speaker 1: to make an example of Ghislaine Maxwell here? That's not
• 47:45
Speaker 1: the case. This woman has been remanded to custody because
• 47:49
Speaker 1: she has a risk to flee. Point blank, period. All
• 47:55
Speaker 1: this other shit we're hearing from Spillbore and Geraldo Rivera,
• 48:00
Speaker 1: that's just white noise, folks. A bunch of white noise. Garbage.
• 48:06
Speaker 1: Rivera argued that Maxwell was not evading law enforcement, but
• 48:09
Speaker 1: was rather laying low to avoid tabloids and the press.
• 48:12
Speaker 1: How does he know that? So he's just, he's taking
• 48:15
Speaker 1: the defense's word for it, huh? Okay, that's fine. You
• 48:18
Speaker 1: can take the defense's word for it. They have no proof.
• 48:21
Speaker 1: They have no evidence. So go ahead and be on
• 48:23
Speaker 1: the losing side once again there, Geraldo Rivera. Why would
• 48:28
Speaker 1: you want to change it up now? Your opinion has
• 48:31
Speaker 1: always sucked. It continues to suck. And frankly, you're a
• 48:35
Speaker 1: terrible newsman. She was hiding from the Daily Mail, he said.
• 48:43
Speaker 1: She was hiding from the New York Post. She was
• 48:45
Speaker 1: hiding from the National Enquirer. She was one of the
• 48:48
Speaker 1: most sought after, with the exception of Meghan Markle, the
• 48:51
Speaker 1: most sought after tabloid figure in the country. Stop. Hit
• 48:55
Speaker 1: the brakes. You dumb jackass. How about if the legacy media,
• 48:59
Speaker 1: you know, what you're part of, did their job hunting
• 49:02
Speaker 1: her down to try and find her? It was only
• 49:05
Speaker 1: the so-called tabloids who gave a damn. So put a
• 49:08
Speaker 1: little respect on their name from this search, huh? From
• 49:11
Speaker 1: this investigation. Because you, Mr. Rivera, have done nothing for
• 49:15
Speaker 1: the survivors. Except open your fat, stupid yap and act
• 49:19
Speaker 1: like you know what you're doing. talking about. I am
• 49:21
Speaker 1: so tired of all of these Johnny-come-lately showing up at
• 49:25
Speaker 1: this story acting like they know what's up, acting like
• 49:28
Speaker 1: they have their finger on the pulse. So many people
• 49:31
Speaker 1: have been wrong at every single turn in this case.
• 49:34
Speaker 1: So excuse me if I don't care what you have
• 49:36
Speaker 1: to say. Remember, these charges relate to offenses that happened
• 49:42
  Speaker 1: 25 years ago, from 1994 to 1997, Rivera concluded. I
• 49:48
Speaker 1: think these are charges that are wobbly on their face,
• 49:51
Speaker 1: and for this judge to chicken out and not give
• 49:53
Speaker 1: this defendant bail, I think is copping out to the mob.
• 49:59
Speaker 1: These are hold charges. Ha. Ra. Do. Okay? These are
• 50:05
Speaker 1: the charges they knew that they could get to stick
• 50:08
Speaker 1: right off the bat with no BS. They didn't have
• 50:11
Speaker 1: to worry about the NPA, the non-prosecution agreement. They didn't
• 50:16
Speaker 1: have to worry about any of this. Don't be mad
• 50:18
Speaker 1: because they pulled an end around. Don't be mad because
• 50:21
Speaker 1: the government is using loopholes now. I never thought I'd
• 50:25
Speaker 1: see the day that I was rooting for the government
• 50:27
Speaker 1: in a prosecution. We all know I feel that the
• 50:31
Speaker 1: government is absolutely corrupt and was complicit in this for
• 50:34
Speaker 1: a long, long time. But here now, well, the way
• 50:38
Speaker 1: Alison Moe is conducting herself and the way that Judge
• 50:42
Speaker 1: Nathan ruled already in this case, it gives me some
• 50:45
Speaker 1: hope that we're turning a corner here and that there
• 50:49
Speaker 1: are still prosecutors and people within the justice system who
• 50:53
Speaker 1: give a damn because we know from past experiences that
• 50:57
Speaker 1: most of them haven't. So maybe this is a new,
• 51:02
Speaker 1: a step in the right direction for the SDNY. Because
• 51:06
Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, if Alison Moe conducts herself the
• 51:09
Speaker 1: way she did yesterday in that hearing throughout this trial,
• 51:12
Speaker 1: they are going to be in for a long ride.
• 51:14
Speaker 1: She shredded them yesterday. She showed up to that courtroom
• 51:19
Speaker 1: and she went Chuck Rhodes on these dudes. And if
• 51:23
Speaker 1: I was Ghislaine Maxwell... Instead of Cohen, you better call
• 51:27
Speaker 1: Saul because you're going to need a lot more help
• 51:29
Speaker 1: in the courtroom. Maxwell's trial date is set for July
• 51:33
Speaker 1: 2021 and an end is expected to last two weeks. Well,
• 51:40
Speaker 1: I've already put my plans into motion, locked in my
• 51:44
Speaker 1: living arrangements, and I plan on being in New York
• 51:47
Speaker 1: for the duration of the trial. So right now, it
• 51:50
Speaker 1: looks like I'll be touching down in New York on
• 51:53
Speaker 1: July 10th. Thankfully, I'm originally from New York, so I
• 51:56
Speaker 1: have plenty of places to stay. And I plan on
• 51:59
Speaker 1: being down at the trial at the courthouse every day
• 52:03
Speaker 1: that the trial is occurring. Because, like I said, I
• 52:08
Speaker 1: want to see this through to the very end now.
• 52:11
Speaker 1: We're in this so deep and we're getting to a
• 52:14
Speaker 1: point where people who are involved are finally starting to
• 52:19
Speaker 1: get a taste of what it feels like to be
• 52:22
Speaker 1: the hunted, to be the prey. And it is not
• 52:26
Speaker 1: the time to take the foot off the gas yet.
• 52:30
Speaker 1: More indictments, speedy trials, and convictions. That is when a
• 52:39
Speaker 1: stamp is put on it. That is when a bow
• 52:42
Speaker 1: is tied upon it. Until then... We'll have to navigate
• 52:47
Speaker 1: our way through the muddy waters, slapping around people like
• 52:51
Speaker 1: Geraldo Rivera every time they start talking out of the
• 52:55
Speaker 1: side of their neck. If you'd like to contact me,
• 52:59
Speaker 1: you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I
• 53:05
Speaker 1: at protonmail.com. You can also find me on Twitter at
• 53:10
Speaker 1: B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. Inside of the... there is another person
• 53:18
Speaker 1: who isn't Alan Dershowitz or Brian Basham who is pining
• 53:23
Speaker 1: for Ghislaine Maxwell to be released on bail. And that
• 53:27
Speaker 1: person is... Jonna Spilbore from Newsmax. I know, it's shocking
• 53:34
Speaker 1: that a publication that has such esteemed authors such as
• 53:38
Speaker 1: Alan Dershowitz would have another lawyer who is pining that
• 53:42
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell gets some special treatment and get let out
• 53:46
Speaker 1: on bail. I'm sure she's going to argue in this
• 53:49
Speaker 1: article that Ghislaine Maxwell is being treated unfairly because who
• 53:53
Speaker 1: she is. When in reality, if it was any of
• 53:57
Speaker 1: us who was sitting in that jail cell right now,
• 54:01
Speaker 1: even if we were offered bail, we wouldn't be able
• 54:04
Speaker 1: to make it. So I don't want to hear about
• 54:07
Speaker 1: how she's not getting fair treatment or how she should
• 54:10
Speaker 1: be out on bail. when there are a lot of
• 54:13
Speaker 1: other people in this country who did a lot worse shit,
• 54:16
Speaker 1: who are sitting in jail, who did a lot less
• 54:20
Speaker 1: worse shit than Ghislaine Maxwell, who are sitting in jail
• 54:23
Speaker 1: and rotting away right now with no chance at bail.
• 54:26
Speaker 1: Nobody's showing up with millions of dollars to make bond
• 54:28
Speaker 1: for them. Nobody, no hope. They have themselves a public defender.
• 54:35
Speaker 1: So when we talk about special privileges, the people that
• 54:39
Speaker 1: are getting the special privileges are these famous people who
• 54:43
Speaker 1: end up getting out on bail. It's not the other
• 54:45
Speaker 1: way around. She's not getting a raw deal for who
• 54:48
Speaker 1: she is. She is being treated the way she should
• 54:51
Speaker 1: be treated, considering what she is accused of. And also,
• 54:55
Speaker 1: let's remember, all of these people that don't know much
• 54:59
Speaker 1: about this story are just they're on a fishing expedition.
• 55:03
Speaker 1: They don't understand what's going on here. The charges that
• 55:07
Speaker 1: Maxwell is facing right now, the ones that are from
• 55:11
Speaker 1: 94 to 97, are most certainly not the only charges
• 55:14
Speaker 1: that she is going to face when all is said
• 55:17
Speaker 1: and done. Just take a look at Mr. Keith Ranieri.
• 55:22
Speaker 1: Do you really think that Ghislaine Maxwell is going to
• 55:24
Speaker 1: get less than Keith Ranieri? I certainly don't. She shouldn't anyway. So,
• 55:31
Speaker 1: until the time comes when she has had a trial...
• 55:35
Speaker 1: and when she has sat down and she's been judged
• 55:38
Speaker 1: by a jury of her peers, then she should be
• 55:41
Speaker 1: in custody, in my opinion. Now, of course, look, I'm
• 55:44
Speaker 1: not a lawyer, right? All I'm saying is, if normal,
• 55:49
Speaker 1: average folks like you and I are stuck in prison
• 55:52
Speaker 1: or stuck in jail as we await trial, like there
• 55:55
Speaker 1: are countless number of Americans are right now, why should
• 55:59
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell be given any special treatment? Why should Ghislaine
• 56:03
Speaker 1: Maxwell be given bail just because she's super rich. It's
• 56:11
Speaker 1: just ludicrous. So, let's dive into this rag over at
• 56:16
Speaker 1: Newsmax and see what sort of nonsense is being talked about. Headline,
• 56:26
Speaker 1: Release Ghislaine Maxwell on bail. Authored by Jonna Spilbore. Amid
• 56:33
Speaker 1: a fashionable backdrop of indictments of the rich and famous,
• 56:37
Speaker 1: the pretrial treatment of Ghislaine Maxwell is troubling on many levels. No,
• 56:42
Speaker 1: it's not. No, not at all. It's not. Remember, she
• 56:45
Speaker 1: skirted out on the non-prosecution agreement all them years ago.
• 56:49
Speaker 1: Why was she included in that if she wasn't guilty?
• 56:52
Speaker 1: And if you really think that there are not more
• 56:54
Speaker 1: indictments coming her way, well, Jonah Spilbor, you have not
• 57:00
Speaker 1: been paying attention. Maxwell, up until a rather precipitous arrest
• 57:06
Speaker 1: on July 2nd at her New Hampshire home on a
• 57:09
Speaker 1: number of charges filed earlier that week in the Southern
• 57:12
Speaker 1: District of New York, was perhaps best known for her
• 57:15
Speaker 1: relationship to, and with, financier, pedophile, turned convicted sex offender,
• 57:21
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. This sure sounds like a lady that has
• 57:24
Speaker 1: no idea what she's talking about. Or maybe she's looking
• 57:27
Speaker 1: to grab a gig on Ghislaine Maxwell's defense team. That
• 57:30
Speaker 1: might be what she's pining for here, huh? Because if
• 57:34
Speaker 1: she thinks that Ghislaine Maxwell is getting treated unfairly, then
• 57:40
Speaker 1: she should probably go and check out some of the
• 57:42
Speaker 1: inner city jails and see how some people without any
• 57:46
Speaker 1: money are being treated. Bell, yeah, right. Despite waiving extradition
• 57:52
Speaker 1: to New York. Oh, big deal. She waived extradition to
• 57:55
Speaker 1: New York. Oh, my God. She should be given so
• 57:57
Speaker 1: many points for that. No, no. Absolutely not. She should
• 58:01
Speaker 1: have waived extradition. She knew she had no defense. No,
• 58:05
Speaker 1: she had an untenable position to defend. So she knew
• 58:10
Speaker 1: she had to waive extradition. It was only a matter
• 58:13
Speaker 1: of time. What was she going to do? Drag it out?
• 58:19
Speaker 1: Offering up a hefty bell package... Well... There's the difference, okay?
• 58:23
Speaker 1: When you say she's not being treated fairly... Well, what's
• 58:26
Speaker 1: not fair is the fact... That she has these resources still...
• 58:30
Speaker 1: That her... All of these resources... All of these accounts...
• 58:33
Speaker 1: Aren't frozen under Rico... Like they would be... If she
• 58:36
Speaker 1: was a normal person... If she wasn't part of... So-called
• 58:39
Speaker 1: polite society... We wouldn't even be having this conversation... This
• 58:43
Speaker 1: lady would already been stuck with Rico... Everybody she knows
• 58:47
Speaker 1: would have been hemmed up... And the government would have
• 58:49
Speaker 1: been laughing all the way drinking their espressos. But since
• 58:52
Speaker 1: she's highly connected. Since she has friends in high places
• 58:57
Speaker 1: for so long. Since she was protected by that draconian
• 59:01
Speaker 1: non-prosecution agreement. And since she has lawyers who know about
• 59:07
Speaker 1: the loopholes and how to navigate the back room. she is,
• 59:11
Speaker 1: in fact, has a better chance of beating her charges
• 59:16
Speaker 1: than the average person. So I don't want to hear
• 59:19
Speaker 1: about how she's being treated unfairly. She is being treated
• 59:23
Speaker 1: the same way anybody else in that prison would be
• 59:26
Speaker 1: treated under the same circumstances. And facing charges alleged to
• 59:34
Speaker 1: have occurred as far back as 1994, Maxwell was ordered
• 59:39
Speaker 1: held without bond at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
• 59:43
Speaker 1: She remains incarcerated there under unusually restrictive, if not punitive, conditions.
• 59:50
Speaker 1: That's lawyer speak for we need a technicality and a loophole.
• 59:55
  Speaker 1: It's not that she's innocent. It's just that she's being
• 59:57
Speaker 1: held in these conditions that are unseemly, that are unacceptable,
• 1:00:02
Speaker 1: that are violating her human rights. No, they're not. Where was...
• 1:00:06
Speaker 1: Jonna Spilbor when El Chapo was in jail at the MCC?
• 1:00:12
Speaker 1: Where was Jonna Spilbor when, insert any other major criminal,
• 1:00:18
Speaker 1: was in one of these facilities? Was she out here
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: pining for them to be out on bail? Was she
• 1:00:23
Speaker 1: pining for them not to sit in jail as she
• 1:00:27
Speaker 1: awaits her trial? I'm sure she wasn't. But like most
• 1:00:32
Speaker 1: people who really aren't hip to this case... and want
• 1:00:36
Speaker 1: to interject and talk out of the side of their neck.
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: She just makes herself look foolish. To act like Ghislaine
• 1:00:42
Speaker 1: Maxwell wasn't a threat to anybody, and to act like
• 1:00:46
Speaker 1: the survivors should have to go to sleep at night
• 1:00:48
Speaker 1: knowing that lady is on the loose is just absurd.
• 1:00:53
Speaker 1: Absolutely absurd. What if it was your daughter, Jonas Bilboor?
• 1:00:57
Speaker 1: Serious question. How would you feel then? As a lawyer
• 1:01:03
Speaker 1: who has analyzed, written extensively about, and provided commentary on
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: a national scale for many high-profile cases, oh yeah, well,
• 1:01:12
Speaker 1: in that case, you're just, we need to bow down
• 1:01:15
Speaker 1: to what you have to say. You're just, you know,
• 1:01:19
Speaker 1: you've cornered the market, huh? including those with serious sex
• 1:01:25
Speaker 1: crime components, Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, the Duke Lacrosse case,
• 1:01:30
Speaker 1: Bill Cosby, and most recently, and Harvey Weinstein. This harsher
• 1:01:34
Speaker 1: than most handling of Maxwell's case immediately struck me as
• 1:01:38
Speaker 1: beyond odd. Well, that's because you're not reading between the lines.
• 1:01:43
Speaker 1: You're not seeing the picture as the giant puzzle that
• 1:01:46
Speaker 1: it is. These are hold'em charges, Ms. Spillbore. I would
• 1:01:52
Speaker 1: think that a seasoned lawyer who has covered all of
• 1:01:54
Speaker 1: these high-profile cases before would be all over that, would
• 1:01:59
Speaker 1: be able to see what's going on here, would be
• 1:02:01
Speaker 1: able to see that there's an endgame. Do they use
• 1:02:03
Speaker 1: the word conspiracy if it's a crime of one? No,
• 1:02:07
Speaker 1: they don't. So while I'm sure Ms. Spielberg is a
• 1:02:12
Speaker 1: fantastic lawyer, and I'm sure she knows her shit, right?
• 1:02:15
Speaker 1: I'm not going to sit here and act like I
• 1:02:16
Speaker 1: know the legal system better than her. That, I'm sure,
• 1:02:19
Speaker 1: is not the case. But when it comes to this
• 1:02:21
Speaker 1: specific situation that we're talking about here, I'm pretty sure
• 1:02:26
Speaker 1: that I'm more well-versed on the ins and outs than
• 1:02:29
Speaker 1: Miss Billboard. In an era where we witness routinely a
• 1:02:35
Speaker 1: veritable parade of high-profile defendants marching into their arraignments with
• 1:02:40
Speaker 1: lawyers on their arms after breakfast... and marching out with
• 1:02:43
Speaker 1: GPS monitors on their ankles before lunch, why is Ms.
• 1:02:47
Speaker 1: Maxwell not being afforded the same constitutional deference as so
• 1:02:52
Speaker 1: many of her famous predecessors? Well, I'll tell you what.
• 1:02:56
Speaker 1: They shouldn't have been either. But what? We're just going
• 1:02:58
Speaker 1: to keep doing it? At what point do we stop?
• 1:03:01
Speaker 1: At what point do we say, all right, this is
• 1:03:03
Speaker 1: the endgame. Sorry, you're the one holding the hot potato.
• 1:03:07
Speaker 1: We're going to be hard on you people from here
• 1:03:09
Speaker 1: on out. At what point does that occur? Or do
• 1:03:13
Speaker 1: we just keep letting these people steamroll us? Do we
• 1:03:16
Speaker 1: keep letting them shit all over the people they abuse?
• 1:03:19
Speaker 1: And do we continue to let them operate on a
• 1:03:23
Speaker 1: different tier of the playing field than the rest of us?
• 1:03:27
Speaker 1: I'm done with it. All right, Ms. Spillbore? And I'm
• 1:03:30
Speaker 1: sorry that Ghislaine Maxwell is the one who ends up
• 1:03:34
Speaker 1: holding the bag here. I'm sorry for you because... For me,
• 1:03:38
Speaker 1: from where I'm sitting and from my perspective, I have
• 1:03:41
Speaker 1: had enough of these people doing exactly what you're talking about,
• 1:03:45
Speaker 1: marching out with their ankle monitors, having their lattes, laughing
• 1:03:49
Speaker 1: at society. Oh, I'm going to go home and swim
• 1:03:51
Speaker 1: in my money like Scrooge McDuck anyway. F the rest
• 1:03:55
Speaker 1: of you. I'm tired of it. At some point, society
• 1:03:58
Speaker 1: has to put their foot down and say enough is enough.
• 1:04:06
Speaker 1: It's a more than fair question. Her treatment in the
• 1:04:10
Speaker 1: legal arena thus far has been anything but equitable. I mean, though,
• 1:04:16
Speaker 1: has it really, though, been less than equitable? Has she
• 1:04:20
Speaker 1: been treated any less than any other person in society
• 1:04:24
Speaker 1: should be treated who is accused of such heinous crimes
• 1:04:28
Speaker 1: by so many different people? Why should we use The
• 1:04:35
Speaker 1: examples given of Weinstein and Cosby as the norm, that
• 1:04:40
Speaker 1: shouldn't be the norm. Everyone should be outraged by that
• 1:04:45
Speaker 1: as well. And this case here, this person, the crimes
• 1:04:52
Speaker 1: that she committed is where I think people are saying
• 1:04:57
Speaker 1: enough is enough. Perhaps the most glaring anomaly in this
• 1:05:03
Speaker 1: case is the judge's decision to lock up Maxwell pre-trial
• 1:05:08
Speaker 1: with no opportunity for pre-trial release as if her guilt
• 1:05:12
Speaker 1: is a foregone conclusion. Again, you have any idea, Ms. Spielberg,
• 1:05:16
Speaker 1: what the court knows or what the prosecutors know or perhaps,
• 1:05:22
Speaker 1: just maybe, just maybe, Judge Allison Nathan read all of
• 1:05:25
Speaker 1: the documents of all of the cases previously, went through them,
• 1:05:30
Speaker 1: and understands what sort of monster we're dealing with here.
• 1:05:35
Speaker 1: Did that ever strike you as something that might have occurred?
• 1:05:39
  Speaker 1: I know as a lawyer, as a defense attorney, it's
• 1:05:42
Speaker 1: your job to defend bipedal serpents like this, but Ms. Spillbore,
• 1:05:46
Speaker 1: come on. Do you really think anyone's buying this, that
• 1:05:49
Speaker 1: she's being treated any differently than anyone else would be? Sure,
• 1:05:53
Speaker 1: she might be being treated than those other famous people,
• 1:05:56
  Speaker 1: but A, she's not famous, let's be real, and B,
• 1:06:00
Speaker 1: Her crimes are absolutely heinous and they include children. Do
• 1:06:04
Speaker 1: we not draw the line there? A dangerous proposition for
• 1:06:10
Speaker 1: anyone who appreciates the presumption of innocence. I know I do.
• 1:06:15
Speaker 1: You should too. Look, she has the presumption of innocence.
• 1:06:19
  Speaker 1: She's getting a trial. She's going to get a fair
• 1:06:22
Speaker 1: shake in front of a jury of her peers. That
• 1:06:24
Speaker 1: doesn't mean she should be released to, A, maybe threaten
• 1:06:29
Speaker 1: the survivors that came forward against her. B, who knows?
• 1:06:34
Speaker 1: She might flee. I don't care about an ankle monitor.
• 1:06:37
Speaker 1: Give me an absolute break. You know how many people dip, duck,
• 1:06:42
Speaker 1: and dodge with ankle monitors on, cut them off, and
• 1:06:45
Speaker 1: blast out into the wind with a lot less resources
• 1:06:48
Speaker 1: than Ghislaine Maxwell has? At an initial bail hearing on
• 1:06:54
Speaker 1: July 14th, U.S. District Judge Allison Nathan ordered Maxwell jailed
• 1:06:58
Speaker 1: pending trial, stating the significant financial resources, international ties, and
• 1:07:04
Speaker 1: extraordinary capacity to avoid detection made the risk of flight
• 1:07:08
Speaker 1: simply too great to allow Maxwell to remain free, holding
• 1:07:12
Speaker 1: that no set of conditions could guarantee she wouldn't flee. Yeah,
• 1:07:17
Speaker 1: it's pretty straightforward, right? But of course, Ms. Spilbor has
• 1:07:20
Speaker 1: something to say. Wait, what? Pre-trial release of high-profile defendants
• 1:07:25
Speaker 1: has been done repeatedly. It can be argued that the
• 1:07:28
Speaker 1: higher the profile, the lower the flight risk. Um, no, wrong.
• 1:07:34
Speaker 1: She is a foreign citizen, Ms. Spielbohr. Do you understand
• 1:07:39
Speaker 1: how easy it would be for her to skip out?
• 1:07:41
Speaker 1: All she has to do is sneak across the border.
• 1:07:44
Speaker 1: Then it's a wrap. What do you mean she's not
• 1:07:48
Speaker 1: a flight risk? What are you talking about? You think
• 1:07:52
Speaker 1: this is just some shrinking violet? No, we're talking about
• 1:07:58
Speaker 1: the co-boss, all right, of a criminal organization. Get that
• 1:08:02
Speaker 1: through your head. This wasn't just some lady who was
• 1:08:04
Speaker 1: making phone calls. Man, oh man, people are really missing
• 1:08:08
Speaker 1: the boat here. There are a lot of smart people
• 1:08:11
Speaker 1: who have interjected their opinions into this case. And while
• 1:08:16
Speaker 1: they might be smart in their avenue of study, When
• 1:08:19
Speaker 1: it comes to the facts in this case, they are lacking.
• 1:08:26
Speaker 1: On what planet would other equally famous defendants, who were
• 1:08:30
Speaker 1: allowed pretrial release, by the way, like Bill Cosby, American citizen,
• 1:08:35
Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant, American citizen, and Harvey Weinstein, American citizen, as
• 1:08:42
Speaker 1: well as Martha Stewart, Michael Flynn, American citizen, American citizen,
• 1:08:47
Speaker 1: Paul Manafort, American Citizen, Roger Stone, American Citizen, Lori Loughlin,
• 1:08:52
Speaker 1: American Citizen, and most recently, Steve Bannon, American Citizen. Be
• 1:08:58
Speaker 1: able to void... able to avoid detection had any of
• 1:09:02
Speaker 1: them decided to flee? No, they wouldn't have. They are famous.
• 1:09:06
Speaker 1: Do you understand what famous means? Up until recently, most
• 1:09:10
Speaker 1: people couldn't pick Ghislaine Maxwell out of a lineup. So
• 1:09:14
Speaker 1: what do you mean? Do you really think she has
• 1:09:16
Speaker 1: the star power of Bill Cosby? Stop it. Or Paul Manafort,
• 1:09:20
Speaker 1: whose face was plastered all over every single news agency
• 1:09:24
Speaker 1: for five months? Just stop it. It's absurd. A person
• 1:09:32
  Speaker 1: who's on society's outrage meter can't go to a local
• 1:09:35
Speaker 1: diner without being detected. Well, that's fair. And, well, what
• 1:09:40
Speaker 1: do you want the public to do? Should the public
• 1:09:43
Speaker 1: just shut up and not pay attention to what the
• 1:09:46
Speaker 1: scoundrels are up to? Not have conversations with each other
• 1:09:49
Speaker 1: like we're doing here? That's what you would want, right?
• 1:09:53
Speaker 1: That's what you always want when you're a lawyer. And
• 1:09:56
Speaker 1: that's why it was great when it was the legacy
• 1:09:59
Speaker 1: media who was in control of the whole thing, huh?
• 1:10:01
Speaker 1: Because you could control the narrative by applying pressure. Well,
• 1:10:05
Speaker 1: breaking news, that's impossible to do. When you have a
• 1:10:09
Speaker 1: bunch of independent outlets. Reporting the case. Besides. We have
• 1:10:18
Speaker 1: the technology. To tether defendants inside any jurisdiction. I've already
• 1:10:21
Speaker 1: covered this. It's bullshit okay. No we don't. Alright you
• 1:10:25
Speaker 1: might think you do. But you don't. You know how
• 1:10:29
Speaker 1: easy it is to get rid of one of these.
• 1:10:31
Speaker 1: Electronic monitoring devices. Happens all the time folks. Ask anyone
• 1:10:36
Speaker 1: who works in law enforcement. That you know. It's commonly done.
• 1:10:41
Speaker 1: Couple that with surrendering passports and signing over property and
• 1:10:45
Speaker 1: handing over enough cash to miss, regardless of your income bracket,
• 1:10:49
Speaker 1: and there is your frequently used pre-trial release plan. See,
• 1:10:52
Speaker 1: that's the problem. And this lady's spillboard doesn't get it
• 1:10:56
Speaker 1: because she's part of so-called polite society. Part of the
• 1:10:59
Speaker 1: problem is that this is how... You get out of
• 1:11:03
Speaker 1: jail while me or you rot away. I don't want...
• 1:11:06
Speaker 1: Let me be clear, okay? Let me be very clear
• 1:11:08
Speaker 1: so maybe Ms. Spilbor will understand. I do not want
• 1:11:12
Speaker 1: any of them, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, any of them
• 1:11:17
Speaker 1: to get out of jail before their trials. Not one
• 1:11:22
Speaker 1: of them. The problem is the system. I have said
• 1:11:25
Speaker 1: it a million times, Ms. Spilbor. You're willing to operate
• 1:11:29
Speaker 1: within the system. Me? I want to shatter it and
• 1:11:33
Speaker 1: see it remade. Not only has the judge essentially locked
• 1:11:38
Speaker 1: Maxwell up, intending to keep her there until trial, but
• 1:11:42
Speaker 1: is also putting a brick wall between Maxwell and her
• 1:11:45
Speaker 1: absolute right to access discovery, confront her accusers, and prepare
• 1:11:49
Speaker 1: for a defense. Wrong. All right? There's a lot of
• 1:11:52
Speaker 1: people in prison right now and in jail preparing their defenses, okay?
• 1:11:57
  Speaker 1: Because she's rich, because she's so-called famous... That doesn't give
• 1:12:00
Speaker 1: her any special rights to get out. Sorry. These actions
• 1:12:06
Speaker 1: from the bench are in stark contrast to recent actions
• 1:12:09
Speaker 1: by other members of the judiciary. District Judge Annalisa Torres
• 1:12:14
Speaker 1: freed President Trump's former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, at his
• 1:12:18
Speaker 1: August arraignment on $ 5 million bond. I don't care what
• 1:12:23
Speaker 1: you think about Steve Bannon. He's not charged with human
• 1:12:26
Speaker 1: trafficking or abusing children or has who knows how many
• 1:12:30
Speaker 1: sealed indictments around those kind of crimes. All right? Like
• 1:12:37
Speaker 1: Elaine Maxwell does. Steve Bannon's a scumbag in his own right.
• 1:12:40
Speaker 1: No doubt about it. And if they wanted to hold
• 1:12:44
Speaker 1: him without bail, I would have been totally fine with
• 1:12:46
Speaker 1: that too. But to run around here And act like,
• 1:12:51
Speaker 1: to compare Steve Bannon and Ghislaine Maxwell as far as
• 1:12:55
Speaker 1: these specific crimes, is there a more apples and oranges
• 1:12:59
Speaker 1: debate to have? Steve Bannon is basically accused of funneling
• 1:13:05
Speaker 1: some money. Money laundering, basically, right? Stealing some money from
• 1:13:08
Speaker 1: the Wall Project or whatever the hell they had going on.
• 1:13:11
Speaker 1: To be honest with you, I'm not even following that garbage.
• 1:13:13
Speaker 1: I don't care. But I will tell you this. It
• 1:13:17
Speaker 1: is nowhere near as heinous... as child sex crimes, child
• 1:13:21
Speaker 1: sex abuse, money laundering, and power brokering on the highest levels.
• 1:13:28
Speaker 1: This right is not merely Maxwell's. It's a right unto
• 1:13:31
Speaker 1: all Americans. Yeah, if you have the money. Again, who
• 1:13:34
Speaker 1: has five million? You? Me? Probably not. I know I don't.
• 1:13:38
Speaker 1: So what do you mean it's the right to all Americans? No,
• 1:13:41
Speaker 1: it's only a right to the Americans who can afford
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: to pay your $ 2, 000 an hour salary, Ms. Spielbohr. In
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: a case where the central allegations are nearly three decades
• 1:13:54
Speaker 1: old and supported, if at all, by untested credibility of
• 1:13:58
Speaker 1: the accusers themselves. So you can see where Spillbore is
• 1:14:03
Speaker 1: coming from here. She is challenging the credibility of the
• 1:14:07
Speaker 1: survivors right off the bat. And she is saying that, oh,
• 1:14:11
Speaker 1: it's just these charges from 94 showing her ignorance in
• 1:14:15
Speaker 1: this regard. She doesn't understand, obviously, that more is coming
• 1:14:18
Speaker 1: down the pipe. And when it does, I'll be here
• 1:14:21
Speaker 1: to do a ha-ha dance, Ms. Spillbore. Denying Maxwell any
• 1:14:29
Speaker 1: meaningful pretrial opportunity to push back against these accusations and
• 1:14:34
Speaker 1: the motivations behind them, which will necessarily include, like it
• 1:14:38
Speaker 1: or not, questioning the veracity of those who have provided
• 1:14:41
Speaker 1: evidence to be used against her, represents a complete deprivation
• 1:14:46
Speaker 1: of due process. She's had decades. to prepare herself for this.
• 1:14:51
Speaker 1: She should have went to prison in 2007, 2008, 2009,
• 1:14:52
Speaker 1: when Epstein did. This is just a writing of wrongs,
• 1:14:54
Speaker 1: Miss Spillbore. Add to that the fact that numerous women,
• 1:15:04
Speaker 1: possibly including one or more of the anonymous accusers in
• 1:15:07
Speaker 1: the criminal case, although your guess is as good as Maxwell's,
• 1:15:11
Speaker 1: have procured very visible opportunities with Netflix and other media
• 1:15:15
Speaker 1: outlets to publicly tell their stories while prosecutors simultaneously implore
• 1:15:21
Speaker 1: the judge to keep the accusers' identities under wraps. Renders
• 1:15:26
Speaker 1: the decisions made from the bench thus far not merely detrimental,
• 1:15:30
Speaker 1: but absurd. No. It's not absurd, okay? The girls who
• 1:15:34
Speaker 1: have come out and spoke out against Ghislaine Maxwell and
• 1:15:38
Speaker 1: have told their stories, they're all on record. What are
• 1:15:42
Speaker 1: you even talking about here? More technicalities. Have you noticed
• 1:15:46
Speaker 1: that she hasn't even begun to say that Ghislaine Maxwell
• 1:15:49
Speaker 1: is innocent? Because that's not the case. It's about technicalities, loopholes,
• 1:15:53
Speaker 1: and what should be. A person's pretrial treatment should not
• 1:16:01
Speaker 1: be an impediment to preparing a defense. It's not. She should,
• 1:16:06
Speaker 1: listen to me clearly, be able to defend herself from
• 1:16:09
Speaker 1: there with her bazillion dollar team of lawyers very well.
• 1:16:13
Speaker 1: What is she actually adding to it, huh? She can
• 1:16:16
Speaker 1: talk to her lawyers on the phone. I guess she
• 1:16:17
Speaker 1: has a computer in that jail cell too. So what
• 1:16:20
Speaker 1: do you mean? What doesn't she have? What is the difference?
• 1:16:23
