- 0:01Speaker 1: It's Tuesday. We have a lot of drama to cover today.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We do.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Multiple dramatic situations involving players multiple but I do want
- 0:11Speaker 3: to start with a lighter note that I think we'll
- 0:14Speaker 3: have our buddy Aircrats excited. There is a player on
- 0:18Speaker 3: the Astros who's basically becoming a member of their bullpen
- 0:22Speaker 3: out of the blue. We're going to talk later about
- 0:25Speaker 3: two way players and how we haven't really seen any
- 0:27Speaker 3: others emerge with O Tahani.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Could it be Chas McCormick. He's racking up appearances back
- 0:35Speaker 1: to back days. He's bitch because.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Well it means he wasn't too short to pitch the
- 0:41Speaker 4: next day, so I'm okay with it.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Two scoreless appearances too.
- 0:44Speaker 4: He might be the closer.
- 0:45Speaker 1: He struck out Jake Rogers yesterday.
- 0:47Speaker 3: They were pounded by the Tigers ten nothing, but the
- 0:50Speaker 3: Astros kept the baseball for him.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Eric knows what that's all about.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Brandon Belt, he signed my ball for me, first ever
- 0:58Speaker 5: big league punch out.
- 1:00Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 1:00Speaker 5: It was just his All Star year. And also let's
- 1:04Speaker 5: see a HENNYO Suarez his All Star year. You just
- 1:07Speaker 5: got to be able to know where to locate kind
- 1:09Speaker 5: of a two way player. That was the only way
- 1:11Speaker 5: I actually increased my hitting ability I became. I went
- 1:15Speaker 5: from a below average hitting catcher to an above average
- 1:18Speaker 5: hitting pitcher.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It must have boosted your war number or something.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Win probability added in all kinds of numbers going your way.
- 1:27Speaker 5: True true story. I ended it with a negative point
- 1:31Speaker 5: one war. I mean, some of them have me a
- 1:33Speaker 5: positive but one of them, I'm not sure which one
- 1:37Speaker 5: has me at a negative point one. I'm getting choked
- 1:42Speaker 5: up about it. But I ended my career with that.
- 1:46Speaker 5: My pitching numbers, I was a negative point one war.
- 1:50Speaker 5: So if I had never pitched, I would have never
- 1:53Speaker 5: I would just been completely average.
- 1:55Speaker 3: No way you're pitching. War brought your overall war down
- 1:59Speaker 3: to put you and negative.
- 2:01Speaker 5: If you look at my pitching war, I'm a negative
- 2:04Speaker 5: point one war.
- 2:07Speaker 3: That really plays to the value of a team player.
- 2:13Speaker 3: It was like our conversation yesterday. You want to be
- 2:15Speaker 3: a team player. When your team needs you to pitch
- 2:18Speaker 3: garbage time. It might knock your war down, but your
- 2:22Speaker 3: team will love you, and we need those innings to
- 2:25Speaker 3: be eaten up.
- 2:26Speaker 6: I can honestly say I never had to do it.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I was mad about that too. I wanted to pitch ones,
- 2:31Speaker 6: but I never played another position either.
- 2:32Speaker 4: So that was kind of cool.
- 2:34Speaker 6: One of like the few people that played like two
- 2:36Speaker 6: thousand games and never played a different position.
- 2:39Speaker 2: That's pretty cool you.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Is that another defensive defensive position?
- 2:45Speaker 2: That's cool. I didn't.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I did want to pitch, though.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I feel like you would have had an awesome time
- 2:51Speaker 1: doing that one. Oh.
- 2:51Speaker 6: First, I would have drilled somebody all the times I
- 2:53Speaker 6: got thrown at, Are you kidding me?
- 2:55Speaker 4: Oh, smoke City, Oh I'm sorry.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I'm a position player.
- 2:58Speaker 6: And I would have picked out somebody, and like you
- 3:02Speaker 6: are paying for all the time, so I got hit.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'm forgiving.
- 3:05Speaker 5: I'm forgetting why that everybody told me bred Gardner told
- 3:08Speaker 5: me to hit somebody, And now I'm forgetting. If somebody
- 3:10Speaker 5: on the Red Sox he said to give me a
- 3:11Speaker 5: thousand dollars if I hit him. And I was pitching
- 3:14Speaker 5: and I faced him, I forget who it was. I
- 3:16Speaker 5: had to go back and look at it. And he
- 3:18Speaker 5: was in left and it was in Fenway. It was
- 3:20Speaker 5: during twenty twenty. And I looked out at him. I
- 3:22Speaker 5: was like, and he he looked back at the monster
- 3:25Speaker 5: and he just put his thumb up and I was like,
- 3:27Speaker 5: all right, here we go.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I forget who it was.
- 3:30Speaker 5: It was somebody he didn't like on the Red Sox,
- 3:32Speaker 5: and I didn't do it because I was afraid I
- 3:33Speaker 5: was actually going to hurt somebody that would have.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Been while you were doing that.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Do you know that your Baseball reference war is negative
- 3:42Speaker 3: point one? Like you mentioned you got the pitching, okay,
- 3:45Speaker 3: your fan grafts were pitching is negative point one. As
- 3:50Speaker 3: a position player, your career war is that just clicked
- 3:55Speaker 3: me out of it?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Three points two? Yeah, it's a massive difference.
- 4:00Speaker 4: It's seriously, that's why we're stupid. For the end all
- 4:03Speaker 4: be all'stat for.
- 4:05Speaker 2: The end all.
- 4:06Speaker 6: If you can't have one, one war that is the same,
- 4:09Speaker 6: then how can you have one? Because if I'm crowds,
- 4:12Speaker 6: I'm going arbitration. I'm like, I'm three point.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Two, and then the team will say, well, no, your negative.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Point one, and teams have their own version of that.
- 4:17Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. So that's why that that to
- 4:19Speaker 4: me is kind of a dumb dumb.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So that's why I kept getting a job. That's why
- 4:22Speaker 2: I kept getting a job.
- 4:23Speaker 5: At the end of my career because the f I
- 4:25Speaker 5: think it's yeah, it's f war or whatever. It's with
- 4:28Speaker 5: the fielding. So all my receiving numbers boosted me to
- 4:33Speaker 5: the max.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Well, I wanted to get a good laugh before the
- 4:37Speaker 3: show started, and I was on Reddit looking at Chas
- 4:40Speaker 3: McCormick notes from Astro's reddit and they said, our worst
- 4:45Speaker 3: hitter right now is our best pitcher.
- 4:49Speaker 4: That's usually true.
- 4:51Speaker 1: There you go that plays.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yeah, their bullpen is kind of a mess since Josh
- 4:55Speaker 3: Hader went down.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Anyway, let's charge.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Starting about.
- 5:03Speaker 1: What do you guys have on Katel Marte.
- 5:04Speaker 3: So he addressed the media yesterday and said, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 3: he's trying to play hard. And there was criticism written
- 5:12Speaker 3: about him on missing time both this year and last
- 5:16Speaker 3: year as a local radio host who was sticking by
- 5:18Speaker 3: his story and hearing it from really some members of
- 5:22Speaker 3: the team and fans. Local reporter Dan Bickley of Arizona
- 5:25Speaker 3: Sports and the Nick Pacoro also wrote about it in
- 5:27Speaker 3: the Arizona Republic. Bickley was the one last year he
- 5:29Speaker 3: said he missed a big game in the final week
- 5:32Speaker 3: of their season. Last year, remember they finished with eighty
- 5:34Speaker 3: nine wins. They were what essentially a game short of
- 5:37Speaker 3: making the playoffs. And then this year Nick Pokoro, who's
- 5:42Speaker 3: been a good writer out there for a long time,
- 5:44Speaker 3: you know, reported on how there was grumbling among players
- 5:47Speaker 3: and staff. I used that word in quotes. That's what
- 5:49Speaker 3: he had in his story about Katel often wanting time
- 5:52Speaker 3: off and that his home was robbed or burglarized during
- 5:58Speaker 3: the All Star break. He was set All Star game
- 6:00Speaker 3: and then instead of going home to where the crime occurred,
- 6:05Speaker 3: he went home to the Dominican Republic. That seemed to
- 6:09Speaker 3: piss some people off. Perdomo yesterday, who was very vocal,
- 6:14Speaker 3: backed him up and kind of made it a media
- 6:16Speaker 3: versus him thing, and the media is like, yo, we're
- 6:18Speaker 3: just reporting.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You want us to not do anything. And then to
- 6:21Speaker 1: tell addressed the media yesterday, what do you got on this?
- 6:24Speaker 4: It was good to you said something. I don't know. Listen,
- 6:28Speaker 4: you can never get into somebody's head, so you really
- 6:31Speaker 4: don't know. Everyone has different pain tolerances, everybody has different programs,
- 6:35Speaker 4: so everybody has different mental situations that they're in physical
- 6:40Speaker 4: and mental. So I don't know, it's.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Just some weird like I don't know why he went
- 6:44Speaker 6: to Dominican when his house in the Phoenix area was burgalized.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Wouldn't you think you'd want to go to Phoenix to
- 6:50Speaker 6: check it out, to see what was.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Taken and get your life back together. But I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 4: It's hard to criticize.
- 6:57Speaker 6: So and here's the thing, it's hard for me to
- 6:58Speaker 6: criticize somebody and I don't know the whole story, and
- 7:01Speaker 6: I don't know what's going on.
- 7:03Speaker 4: So, yeah, he did it. Players are yes, that's crash.
- 7:06Speaker 4: You know this.
- 7:07Speaker 6: Guys take days off. There's rumblings in clubhouses. Yes, it
- 7:11Speaker 6: happens all the time. This guy, Oh, he's soft. He
- 7:13Speaker 6: doesn't want to play. Da da da da dah. Like
- 7:15Speaker 6: you know how it is. It's just what people say
- 7:18Speaker 6: because everyone else is out there busting their asses to
- 7:21Speaker 6: play and get on the field. And then if you
- 7:22Speaker 6: have somebody that doesn't do it all the time, yes,
- 7:24Speaker 6: guys rumbles.
- 7:25Speaker 4: That's the life of an athlete.
- 7:28Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:29Speaker 5: First of all, him not going to his house that
- 7:31Speaker 5: got burglarized. My hope is that maybe he was taking
- 7:34Speaker 5: his family from his Arizona house to the Dominican.
- 7:37Speaker 2: They were shook up. I'm being positive. We don't know.
- 7:41Speaker 5: We don't know what it is, but what ag hit
- 7:43Speaker 5: on is exactly right. Not everybody views being out there
- 7:49Speaker 5: every day as a thing. AJ talks about playing, you know,
- 7:54Speaker 5: all the time, wanting to be out there all the time.
- 7:56Speaker 5: You look at his stats, he played one hundred and
- 7:58Speaker 5: thirty five plus games for one hundred years. He didn't
- 8:02Speaker 5: play one hundred percent every day. You play through things
- 8:07Speaker 5: that hurt, so people's pain tolerances aren't as high. But also,
- 8:11Speaker 5: I think some players, I'm not saying this about Kotel Marte,
- 8:14Speaker 5: I'm saying other players understand what it takes for them
- 8:17Speaker 5: to be at their best, and they don't want to
- 8:22Speaker 5: be out there if it's not at their best. I'm
- 8:24Speaker 5: not saying that they're like, oh, I'm doing this for
- 8:26Speaker 5: the team, I'm not out there. No, it's just a
- 8:29Speaker 5: different mentality. Not everybody has the same mentality. I look
- 8:32Speaker 5: at a guy like Chase Utley. Chase Utley probably shortened
- 8:36Speaker 5: his career because of playing through injuries.
- 8:40Speaker 2: AJ.
- 8:40Speaker 5: I'm sure can think of plenty of guys that played
- 8:43Speaker 5: through injuries that maybe their numbers went down a certain year,
- 8:48Speaker 5: maybe certain things happened. But I know Chase Utley played
- 8:51Speaker 5: through different things that he probably should have sat out for,
- 8:55Speaker 5: but he was like, no, no, no, I'm not sitting out
- 8:58Speaker 5: for that. He ended up being able to Mega's career longer.
- 9:01Speaker 5: But you play through certain things. Sometimes it hurts you
- 9:04Speaker 5: in that season and it can also hurt you later on.
- 9:07Speaker 5: So you just you never know what someone's going through
- 9:10Speaker 5: when they want to sit out ftfam. When you're playing games,
- 9:15Speaker 5: you kind of have some stress anxiety. Teammates need somebody
- 9:19Speaker 5: something to help. Now it's at your fingertips with RULA,
- 9:22Speaker 5: that's right.

- 10:13Speaker 3: I think fans felt feathers ruffled when they read this
- 10:18Speaker 3: story from Nick mccora and Arizona Central. The headline is
- 10:21Speaker 3: trade could tell Marte question Mark teammates grumbling about Arizona
- 10:24Speaker 3: Diamondbacks puzzling star.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That's harsh.
- 10:28Speaker 3: He is either their best or second best player. If
- 10:31Speaker 3: you really like Corbyn Carroll for the future. Okay, he's
- 10:32Speaker 3: one of their best players ever.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Know if they can trade him and get a lot
- 10:35Speaker 6: of stuff every everybody's available.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Sure, Okay, But the thing is.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Is we don't know how bad it is because we've
- 10:44Speaker 6: only heard rumblings. Like we haven't had heard another player
- 10:47Speaker 6: come out and say like this, this or that.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Anonymous.
- 10:49Speaker 3: They talk to these guys anonymous. That's why Nick said,
- 10:52Speaker 3: You know, when you ask a player about to tell
- 10:54Speaker 3: they're like, oh, he's he's the best. When he wants
- 10:56Speaker 3: to be you know, there's a lot of that right
- 10:58Speaker 3: where they're pushing for him to do more or Corbyn
- 11:01Speaker 3: Carrol kind of makeshim look bad. I mean, he was
- 11:02Speaker 3: playing through it like a broken bone or something for
- 11:05Speaker 3: a chunk of the season and he's like, I owe
- 11:06Speaker 3: it to my teammates again, Like you said, different pain tolerance,
- 11:10Speaker 3: but the two.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Incidental tolerances too.
- 11:12Speaker 6: That's the other thing everyone looks at, Like krat said,
- 11:15Speaker 6: everyone looks at things differently, and they say I can
- 11:18Speaker 6: play or I can't play, or I want to play,
- 11:19Speaker 6: or I don't play.
- 11:20Speaker 4: You can't, you can't ever, you can never. It's hard
- 11:23Speaker 4: really to question that. It just it's just hard to
- 11:25Speaker 4: question that because you just don't know.
- 11:27Speaker 6: I mean, it's easy to look at anybody and say,
- 11:30Speaker 6: why isn't he playing? He's soft and then he comes
- 11:31Speaker 6: back and to have a broken arm or something. Right,
- 11:33Speaker 6: You're like, geez, you.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Just never know.
- 11:35Speaker 6: That's why this is a weird situation that I'm glad
- 11:38Speaker 6: Ktell said something, but i'd like, you know, Tory Lavello,
- 11:42Speaker 6: I think he spoke on it, Perdomo spoke on it.
- 11:44Speaker 6: The rest of his teammates, where are they? They should
- 11:47Speaker 6: all get a chance to say something.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Let's not ask or let's not act like this is
- 11:52Speaker 3: media versus the players. Though, that to me Kratz, that's
- 11:56Speaker 3: where it gets taken too far, like the me has
- 11:58Speaker 3: got to get off his back. Okay, well, they're not
- 12:00Speaker 3: writing this out of the blue. I mean he's getting
- 12:02Speaker 3: players and staffers telling him something and he's going to
- 12:05Speaker 3: report on it. That's literally his job. And if you're
- 12:07Speaker 3: a real fan of a team, you want to know
- 12:10Speaker 3: what's going on with the team. Isn't that how this works.
- 12:12Speaker 3: It's also part of the entertainment business, but even just
- 12:15Speaker 3: from a reporting business, you're reporting on what's going on
- 12:18Speaker 3: with the team. A player missed a big game at
- 12:21Speaker 3: the end of last year, and clearly some teammates didn't
- 12:24Speaker 3: like it.
- 12:24Speaker 1: They might be wrong, they might be wrong.
- 12:26Speaker 3: It might be like, hey, you don't know, it's Payton tolerance.
- 12:28Speaker 3: And then the same thing this year, where there were
- 12:31Speaker 3: multiple spots where the team felt like he should have
- 12:33Speaker 3: been there. The thing that clearly rubbed some players the
- 12:36Speaker 3: wrong way Krats this time around is repost trade deadline.
- 12:39Speaker 3: There was an incident. He's not at the scene of
- 12:42Speaker 3: the crime, like you said, there could be a very
- 12:43Speaker 3: good reason, but the Diamondbacks ended up being sellers and
- 12:47Speaker 3: a lot of people had their lives changed.
- 12:49Speaker 1: So it all dominoes and guess what.
- 12:52Speaker 3: The team isn't playing the way it should this year
- 12:54Speaker 3: and people are going to start grumbling.
- 12:58Speaker 5: You have issues. You have issues throughout. That's why I
- 13:01Speaker 5: love August. August just win like the true July. They
- 13:05Speaker 5: talk about dog days. No, it's really just people like
- 13:09Speaker 5: are sick of having a filter. And when you're losing
- 13:12Speaker 5: your filter really goes out the window. The really good teams,
- 13:15Speaker 5: the teams that are winning, they have no filter in April,
- 13:20Speaker 5: and so the dudes get closer because you don't have
- 13:23Speaker 5: this like faction of people that say on the team,
- 13:26Speaker 5: they're like, Shocker could tell Marte is not playing. You
- 13:30Speaker 5: could ask tons of bench coaches that have had different players.
- 13:33Speaker 5: I'm not gonna name names, but everybody knows who they
- 13:36Speaker 5: are that you know what came in, came in? Can't
- 13:41Speaker 5: go today? You know you got you got Chris Saleitis,
- 13:45Speaker 5: somebody's got you know. I just I don't know. It's
- 13:47Speaker 5: a day game after night game. I just don't know
- 13:49Speaker 5: if I'm gonna be able to go. And you have
- 13:53Speaker 5: to deal with that. You have to deal with that,
- 13:55Speaker 5: because if this is what's happening with ca tell Marte
- 13:59Speaker 5: he's an MVP candidate every year. It doesn't really matter
- 14:03Speaker 5: what he does. He's got to get out there and
- 14:06Speaker 5: he's got to play, and when he's available, you throw
- 14:09Speaker 5: him in the lineup. When he's not, someone else has
- 14:12Speaker 5: a step up.
- 14:14Speaker 3: By the way, for anyone unaware, chrissel Ais means you
- 14:16Speaker 3: don't want to face Chris Sale.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Not anything with Chrisale, not pitching. Just for clarification, it's like, oh,
- 14:23Speaker 1: super tough lefty.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I'm a lefty. I'm gonna sit. But the numbers speak
- 14:28Speaker 3: for themselves. Tom Marte is a superstar player, yes to.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Top ten probably top ten hitter in my book.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 3: I mean he led the team to a world his
- 14:40Speaker 3: appearance two years ago. So I think saying, oh, do
- 14:44Speaker 3: we have to trade him, that that's a little harsh.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Can teammates be pissed about a certain situation, Sure.
- 14:50Speaker 4: And they should be.
- 14:51Speaker 6: I feel like that's one thing I think that people
- 14:53Speaker 6: should understand that, Yeah, because there's guys that are going
- 14:55Speaker 6: through stuff trying to play, and when they see other
- 14:59Speaker 6: guys if they don't think given at all.
- 15:01Speaker 4: People say stuff to people.
- 15:02Speaker 6: I mean, it's been said a lot in clubhouses, what's up,
- 15:05Speaker 6: why can't you play? And I've seen a lot of arguments,
- 15:07Speaker 6: and I don't want to say fights, but there's been
- 15:10Speaker 6: some arguments between guys about whether they could play or not.
- 15:13Speaker 6: But it makes a player better too, because sometimes sometimes
- 15:18Speaker 6: if you're called out and it's not true, like then
- 15:23Speaker 6: guys are like, oh, well, I didn't see it like that.
- 15:26Speaker 6: I saw a dude get called out for not running
- 15:28Speaker 6: after a ball that landed on the warning track centerfield
- 15:32Speaker 6: got called out like, oh, I guess you're not trying.
- 15:34Speaker 6: I guess you're not trying today. Next play.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Next time a ball got hit to him and right
- 15:40Speaker 5: center he freaking smashed into the fence knocked himself out
- 15:44Speaker 5: and the pitcher was like, dude, I didn't realize that
- 15:46Speaker 5: you played that hard. But it was like one of
- 15:48Speaker 5: those things, like you call dudes out and sometimes you
- 15:51Speaker 5: have fights, that's okay calling them out in the media.
- 15:55Speaker 5: I don't know, man, Like it's not like everybody thinks
- 15:58Speaker 5: Corbyn Carroll said these things.
- 16:00Speaker 2: It could have been some.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Reliever that this that this radio guy was talking to
- 16:05Speaker 5: or that a reporter was talking to and they were
- 16:08Speaker 5: pissed about it because they kept talking about it in
- 16:10Speaker 5: the bullpen all day.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I just the part for me is I think this
- 16:15Speaker 3: is like healthy, right, you talk this stuff out. The
- 16:18Speaker 3: part where I draw my line is, let's not act
- 16:20Speaker 3: like the media communicating stuff from players is their fault.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Don't don't do it all us against media thing. You know,
- 16:27Speaker 3: if you're a player, like I'd love to talk to
- 16:29Speaker 3: Perdomo more about it because he's like, you know, the
- 16:31Speaker 3: media has to stop or whatever he said.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm like, the media stop. Your teammates have to stop.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Your teammates are telling stuff to the media, clearly, and
- 16:39Speaker 3: it's not even one media member, it's multiple media members.
- 16:41Speaker 1: So you know, good, good story. You know.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I'm not really like taking a side here because we
- 16:46Speaker 3: all aren't right, we don't know enough about it.
- 16:48Speaker 4: I don't know enough about it.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm just taking a side on that. If
- 16:52Speaker 3: you have a problem your teammates are talking to the media,
- 16:54Speaker 3: why don't you have a team meeting about it or
- 16:56Speaker 3: take them out to dinner.
- 16:57Speaker 1: No, Like, hey, dude, need you to show up up here.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You've missed big dinner.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Guys before. I've had to have dinners with guys before. Yep,
- 17:05Speaker 6: you know, hey, or breakfast or lunch or whatever it is. Hey,
- 17:07Speaker 6: we need to figure some out and I'll how you
- 17:11Speaker 6: handle it. You don't go to the musically works out well.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Too, mm hmm. Snake's territory.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Talking about this, of course, if you want more on it,
- 17:19Speaker 3: two media members.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm curious to hear what they have to say about it.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Excited to tune in.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Make sure you check it out podcast or YouTube wherever
- 17:28Speaker 3: you get your pods, the whole deal. Aaron Boone, talking
- 17:31Speaker 3: today on w Fan said, I don't think we're going
- 17:34Speaker 3: to see Aaron Judge back to throwing like he normally
- 17:36Speaker 3: does at any point this year. We're trying to get
- 17:39Speaker 3: through where he can let it go with ease and
- 17:41Speaker 3: be able to protect himself. Talking about when we can
- 17:43Speaker 3: see Judge playing in the field again, not great hurts
- 17:47Speaker 3: flexibility with the lineup.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, listen. Aaron Boone told us this on
- 17:52Speaker 6: Saturday when we had him in his office. He said,
- 17:54Speaker 6: we're hoping that he's back sooner rather than later. In
- 17:57Speaker 6: the outfield, he's not going to throw, be able to
- 17:59Speaker 6: throw full speed, like he had been. But he makes
- 18:02Speaker 6: us a better team when he's out there running balls
- 18:04Speaker 6: down and playing a right field. Yes, and it does
- 18:06Speaker 6: hurt their flexibility if he has to dh, because then
- 18:08Speaker 6: they have judge in the or standing in the outfield.
- 18:11Speaker 6: Stan played three games in a row and then he
- 18:12Speaker 6: took three days off against Sat.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Louis.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Didn't hurt him because Saint Louis isn't very good, but
- 18:16Speaker 6: it does hurt their flexibility then they have to At
- 18:19Speaker 6: one point they had Ben Rice playing first. Ben Rice,
- 18:21Speaker 6: by the way, and you met every game seven RBIs
- 18:23Speaker 6: every time I do a Yankee game.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So just saying, yeah, big games.
- 18:27Speaker 6: Twice I've done two Yankee games. He's gone ten seven
- 18:30Speaker 6: RBIs in both of them.
- 18:31Speaker 1: No way, both, Yes, Wow, in.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Saint Louis seven seven bis.
- 18:38Speaker 1: That's a good stat.
- 18:40Speaker 4: I like the I'm like the Adam of Mean to
- 18:42Speaker 4: South freelockquotes.
- 18:44Speaker 1: That's another good luck potion guy oh Man. Yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Anyway, No, no judge full strength defensively at any point
- 18:55Speaker 3: this year with the arm at least, but you'd like
- 18:57Speaker 3: to at least see him get out there and track
- 18:59Speaker 3: down flyballs versus John Carlo stand. Yeah, I mean for me,
- 19:05Speaker 3: you're risking it with John Carlo. Every time he's out
- 19:08Speaker 3: there in the outfield, I'm like.
- 19:09Speaker 1: This could be the end of the season for him,
- 19:11Speaker 1: This could be it, This could be it.
- 19:12Speaker 3: You are really playing with fire, and the Mets are
- 19:15Speaker 3: gonna be without starting catcher Francisco Albarez.
- 19:17Speaker 1: We spoke to Carlos Mendoza yesterday.
- 19:19Speaker 3: He was waiting for news and now we know he's
- 19:21Speaker 3: placed on the injured list a right thumb injury.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I know he hasn't been this star bat yet, but
- 19:28Speaker 1: it's a big loss.
- 19:31Speaker 4: It is a big loss defensively and managing their pitchers
- 19:33Speaker 4: by the true classic. Hey hey fits me perfect?
- 19:37Speaker 2: Nice.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I almost put that on today.
- 19:39Speaker 6: If it's perfect, look at this, I mean, the mic
- 19:41Speaker 6: is gonna messing up another night. If it's nice, Look
- 19:43Speaker 6: at this, it's.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Perfectly I'm gonna wear that same shirt and a different
- 19:46Speaker 3: size tomorrow, obviously smaller, because you know, I love my media.
- 19:49Speaker 4: But this is a big dealcrats talk to We talked
- 19:52Speaker 4: to Mendy yesterday.
- 19:53Speaker 6: He talked about what he means to the team, especially
- 19:55Speaker 6: handing the pitch, handling the pitching stuff. This is a
- 19:58Speaker 6: bigger loss and people think offensively. He was actually doing
- 20:01Speaker 6: better offensively too since he came back. So this is
- 20:04Speaker 6: a bigger loss of people say, but they're still not
- 20:05Speaker 6: catching the Phillies.
- 20:08Speaker 2: No, and I don't think they want.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I mean, obviously they would love to catch the Phillies.
- 20:12Speaker 5: They want to They want to just write their own ship.
- 20:14Speaker 5: They want to make sure that they don't limp into
- 20:17Speaker 5: the playoffs. They want to get hot like they did
- 20:21Speaker 5: last year. And they're gonna have to do it right
- 20:24Speaker 5: now with Luis Drenz. And he came out of the
- 20:29Speaker 5: he came out of the gates firing, and everyone's like, Oh,
- 20:32Speaker 5: he should be the guy. He should be the guy.
- 20:35Speaker 5: He's kind of offensively regressed a little bit, but he's
- 20:39Speaker 5: he's held his own defensively. I really like what he
- 20:42Speaker 5: brings behind a dish on a night in a night
- 20:44Speaker 5: out basis, and they're gonna have to ask more from him.
- 20:46Speaker 5: That's just it's a tough thing to lose your starting
- 20:49Speaker 5: catcher when your pitching staff is already struggling, so the
- 20:54Speaker 5: pitchers need to pick it up.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Reds are one game back, looking pretty good.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Do you want to have confidence when you go out
- 21:02Speaker 5: in public?
- 21:03Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 21:04Speaker 5: We can't all wear a backwards hat like me, but
- 21:06Speaker 5: you can get some True Classic fit shirts. It almost
- 21:09Speaker 5: looks like, oh wow, the shirt was tailored for me. Nope,
- 21:13Speaker 5: it's every True Classic. This john is soft, it is smooth,
- 21:18Speaker 5: and it makes you look a little jacked.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I'm just saying, and Krats, you are jacked and you
- 21:24Speaker 3: are spot on. True Classic is the spot to go
- 21:27Speaker 3: if someone's like, where do I get shirts? True Classic.
- 21:30Speaker 3: The colors are fantastic. They've sold over twenty five million
- 21:33Speaker 3: shirts to more than five million customers. Their shirts just win.
- 21:37Speaker 3: The feel, the tailored look, the price. We all wear
- 21:40Speaker 3: True Classic on FT. I mean, cam mabn literally can't
- 21:43Speaker 3: say enough about them too. Next time we have Camon
- 21:46Speaker 3: hit up True Classic dot com slash foul, give it
- 21:49Speaker 3: a shot, upgrade your wardrobe and save on True Classic
- 21:52Speaker 3: at True Classic dot com slash foul. That's True Classic
- 21:56Speaker 3: dot com slash fo u l.
- 22:00Speaker 2: That's what he said.
- 22:00Speaker 1: That's what he said.
- 22:03Speaker 2: That's what he said.
- 22:04Speaker 1: That's what he said.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Okay, Dodgers sweep the Padres over the weekend. Dodgers lose
- 22:12Speaker 3: to the Rockies via walk off. Last night to ask her,
- 22:17Speaker 3: Hernandez made a couple mistakes in right fields. We're gonna
- 22:22Speaker 3: look at at least one of them here. And you
- 22:26Speaker 3: know who used to play right field for the Dodgers.
- 22:29Speaker 3: He was really good out there.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Kirk Gibson later, that's a great job.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And oh and I'm loving all of this.
- 22:41Speaker 3: James Loney Moviie Bets met privately with David Roberts and
- 22:47Speaker 3: Andrew Friedman. Well, he likes shortstop, he enjoys the challenge.
- 22:52Speaker 3: But the six time gold Glove winner in right fields
- 22:57Speaker 3: had a little combo. We don't know all the detail else,
- 23:00Speaker 3: Dave Roberts said of Tiascar Hernandez, He's got to get
- 23:03Speaker 3: better out there.
- 23:04Speaker 1: There's just no other way to put it.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's not a lack of effort, but you know, we've
- 23:07Speaker 3: just kind of got to get better.
- 23:09Speaker 1: We do.
- 23:10Speaker 3: And he said we should have won that game. That's
- 23:12Speaker 3: a hard one because remember, you can sweep the Padres great,
- 23:15Speaker 3: still gotta take him down in the division. I mean,
- 23:19Speaker 3: you can sweep him next weekend too, But you gotta
- 23:22Speaker 3: sweep the Rockies, or you should.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You gotta win a series against them.
- 23:26Speaker 4: The Rockies are gonna finally not being the.
- 23:28Speaker 6: Lost records, so they've won four in a row, six
- 23:32Speaker 6: to seven.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I watched too much of that one yesterday, but it
- 23:35Speaker 3: was good anyway. Mookie like shortstop. Half the Dodgers fans
- 23:41Speaker 3: that went after us when we brought this up a
- 23:43Speaker 3: week and a half.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Ago said, well, it's not it's not about the position.
- 23:47Speaker 1: He wants to be a shortstop. I don't give a crap.
- 23:50Speaker 3: What does the team need? What does the team need
- 23:53Speaker 3: right now? It might be Mooki in the outfield. Let's
- 23:56Speaker 3: set up the outfield. What do you got for us?
- 23:59Speaker 3: Mooki in right eight pyes, pa Heesen, center, Askar and
- 24:02Speaker 3: left tay Oscar and left fl Florida to the moon
- 24:05Speaker 3: as Dodgers.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Florida has not.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Worked out as a Dodger. Now he's sitting one ninety.
- 24:11Speaker 6: I mean he's got a negative war. We know how
- 24:13Speaker 6: much you guys love war. His ops is six twenty six.
- 24:17Speaker 6: Ops plus is seventy six.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Are they not a better team with Mookie and rightfield?
- 24:21Speaker 6: Who plays short Freeman or Freeman or Rojas? Sure, okay,
- 24:26Speaker 6: I think they are. But Nuki wants to play short.
- 24:30Speaker 1: He will hit better in right field.
- 24:31Speaker 6: I also agree with that. Yes, less action, less stuff
- 24:35Speaker 6: to be involved with. I think there's a loss something
- 24:37Speaker 6: to that more comfort or comfort, and it automatically makes
- 24:41Speaker 6: her out feel better.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Listen.
- 24:43Speaker 6: It seems like a no brainer. It seemed like a
- 24:45Speaker 6: no brainer when he decided to go to short Southcratzy.
- 24:47Speaker 4: But here we are, Yeah, I mean it was cool.
- 24:52Speaker 5: If I if I'm Roberts, if I'm doctor Roberts, I'm
- 24:54Speaker 5: sitting here going it's all if if what we're hearing
- 24:59Speaker 5: is true, that Mookie's the one that wants to play short,
- 25:02Speaker 5: and that's kind of what's pushed him off a short
- 25:05Speaker 5: because he's like, Hey, you know what I want to
- 25:07Speaker 5: I want to challenge I would if I'm Dave Roberts,
- 25:10Speaker 5: I tell him, dude, you did amazing. You went from
- 25:15Speaker 5: not playing short regularly in the big leagues to playing
- 25:17Speaker 5: a very admirable shortstop, maybe depending on what you look at,
- 25:22Speaker 5: even a little bit above average. Most of them is
- 25:25Speaker 5: a little below average. So to me, average shortstop in
- 25:28Speaker 5: the big leagues is an elite position. Our team is
- 25:32Speaker 5: better with you and right field. That's what they do.
- 25:35Speaker 5: All these stats and algorithms and everything. You're trying to
- 25:39Speaker 5: build the best team you can possibly put out there
- 25:42Speaker 5: of nine guys, and I think he'll hit better. I
- 25:45Speaker 5: think Tayo may actually hit better if he's in a
- 25:48Speaker 5: position where he's more comfortable, and you're going to feel better,
- 25:53Speaker 5: which will help your pitchers, which will give your starters
- 25:57Speaker 5: more length. You're upgrading three positions by changing one guy's position.
- 26:04Speaker 5: To me, I think it's a no brainer. But it's it.
- 26:09Speaker 5: There's a little bit of an ego hit too. But
- 26:11Speaker 5: I know I know for a fact Mookie Betts wants
- 26:14Speaker 5: to win, and if Roberts can get that in there,
- 26:17Speaker 5: then it's best for the team.
- 26:20Speaker 1: If they're having a meeting, we know what it's about.
- 26:22Speaker 3: You know, there's nothing else they're meeting about this, so
- 26:24Speaker 3: anyway to be continued. If you're a Dodgers fan, you
- 26:27Speaker 3: should just want what's best for the team, not that
- 26:29Speaker 3: you're trying to prove a point and half of them
- 26:31Speaker 3: want him.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Yeah, shortstop, he's just a really really, really really good
- 26:37Speaker 6: right field.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yes, I think that will happen, just like it did
- 26:41Speaker 3: last year. By the way, Dave Roberts interview yesterday Dodgers
- 26:45Speaker 3: Territory worth a listen. Some Padres fans in the chat
- 26:48Speaker 3: are like, you're gonna bring up the fan interference. Team
- 26:50Speaker 3: lost by a run they took away Exandrew Bogartomer, what
- 26:52Speaker 3: did you think on that one?
- 26:55Speaker 4: I thought we were doing a whole segment on that.
- 26:57Speaker 1: I don't think so. I don't think we have time.
- 26:58Speaker 1: It's that or Tommy fam Oh either one.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Because the last couple of nights Cruk has been on fire.
- 27:08Speaker 6: I didn't think this was interference because I thought it
- 27:11Speaker 6: was a home run, and I didn't think the guy
- 27:13Speaker 6: reached over the fence to catch it.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I thought he was more behind. Maybe he did. I
- 27:20Speaker 4: don't know.
- 27:22Speaker 3: It doesn't have to touch the fan, apparently, even if
- 27:24Speaker 3: the fan didn't, right, Yeah, the fan could be inhabiting
- 27:28Speaker 3: you with his arm.
- 27:29Speaker 4: I mean dis missed it.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Like do they think that Kratz the arm is in
- 27:34Speaker 3: front of the eye, so it caused him to miss
- 27:36Speaker 3: the patch.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Okay, that that was the only excuse we could come
- 27:40Speaker 1: up with.
- 27:40Speaker 3: But also we don't get an explanation after the game
- 27:43Speaker 3: because we live in secrecy in our league.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I would be not afraid of, especially in the playoffs,
- 27:49Speaker 5: having a camera down each fence line. I know in
- 27:53Speaker 5: Yankee Stadium they have it, just because of how it's configured,
- 27:56Speaker 5: but have it have it down each each fence line,
- 27:59Speaker 5: you can tell if the ball was gonna go out
- 28:01Speaker 5: if his arm. To me, it looked like his hands
- 28:04Speaker 5: went where it would have blocked his vision even though
- 28:07Speaker 5: the ball I mean brutal catch attempt by the by
- 28:11Speaker 5: the fan, by the way to the ball. If it
- 28:13Speaker 5: hit anything, it like grazed off his forearm. But to me,
- 28:18Speaker 5: like I think it's interferenced, I do. But I also
- 28:23Speaker 5: think Ramos should have caught it because I don't think
- 28:26Speaker 5: it's a homer. I think it hits the I think
- 28:28Speaker 5: it hits just in play. I didn't think it was
- 28:32Speaker 5: going out either.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Instead it's an out. How much does that suck?
- 28:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it was after hit after it hit Ramos his
- 28:41Speaker 4: glove right, because it went out after it hit his glove.
- 28:45Speaker 5: I don't know this is I think it's a good call.
- 28:50Speaker 5: I think it's a good call. I thought that. I
- 28:52Speaker 5: thought the play at home, if.
- 28:53Speaker 6: You didn't touch it, he catch the ball and you
- 28:55Speaker 6: never do. You see in football they do all those drills.
- 28:57Speaker 3: When they if someone's arm and again it might but
- 29:00Speaker 3: their case is probably, hey can you catch it?
- 29:03Speaker 1: If if someone's arm, I'll catch it most.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Of the time. Yeah, but you might not be able
- 29:08Speaker 2: to see it. Did anybody have Bollman next time? Next time.
- 29:17Speaker 1: With the fens arm in your way?
- 29:21Speaker 3: Hey, Jason MACKI does a great job covering the Pirates
- 29:24Speaker 3: for the Post Gazette. He caught up with Andrew McCutchen
- 29:27Speaker 3: before yesterday's game, and he says he's not talking about
- 29:29Speaker 3: anything future focused with the Pirates. As for his own situation,
- 29:32Speaker 3: he says he does want to play in twenty twenty six. Yes,
- 29:35Speaker 3: if that would be Pittsburgh. Cutch responded, I want to win,
- 29:38Speaker 3: that's all. I have to do what I need to do.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Cutch clarified later on Twitter, saying, don't take that quote
- 29:44Speaker 3: out of context. I have to do what I need
- 29:46Speaker 3: to do too, meaning he needs to be able to
- 29:48Speaker 3: produce offensively as well. Do you think that Cuts should
- 29:53Speaker 3: finish his career with the team, Yes, but but he
- 29:55Speaker 3: also said he wants to win.
- 29:57Speaker 4: They should do They should try to win. Then, kay,
- 30:00Speaker 4: you should.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I think that, But that's my opinion, and Cutch gets
- 30:04Speaker 6: to do what he has to do, as he said.
- 30:06Speaker 6: But I don't think he should ever play for another team.
- 30:09Speaker 6: I don't think he should have ever left to go
- 30:10Speaker 6: play for another team. I think they should have kept
- 30:12Speaker 6: him the whole time, and I think he should finish
- 30:14Speaker 6: with the Pirates as long as he wants to play.
- 30:16Speaker 4: They're not They're not gonna compete. At least keep him run.
- 30:19Speaker 3: But if you're Andrew McCutchen Kratz and you want to
- 30:21Speaker 3: try to win a ring, which is what most players
- 30:23Speaker 3: want to do, what are your chances in Pittsburgh over
- 30:25Speaker 3: the next couple of seasons?
- 30:28Speaker 2: I mean, could they be higher than zero?
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:32Speaker 5: They could be higher. You have an elite starting pitcher.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Look at what the Tigers have done with Trek Skoobel
- 30:39Speaker 5: as their elite starting pitcher. They've built around him, they
- 30:42Speaker 5: have young, a young core of position players. Like it's possible.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Is it gonna happen with the same owner? No, should
- 30:51Speaker 5: Cutch go somewhere else?
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:54Speaker 5: I really want him to have a ring. I want
- 30:56Speaker 5: him to be a part of a team that has
- 30:58Speaker 5: a ring. And I agree with AJ. He should have
- 31:02Speaker 5: never left ownership. Should have made that stake and said,
- 31:06Speaker 5: you know what, if it's gonna take two hundred and
- 31:08Speaker 5: fifty million dollars over fifteen years, that's what we're gonna do.
- 31:11Speaker 5: We're gonna keep Andrew McCutchen here because he he means
- 31:14Speaker 5: that much to that city, crossing generations of fans, because
- 31:18Speaker 5: now there's dads who have kids that are becoming pirates,
- 31:21Speaker 5: fans that Andrew McCutchen was their favorite player. And Andrew
- 31:25Speaker 5: McCutchen can still be a current young fans favorite player
- 31:29Speaker 5: just by how he plays. He's charismatic, like he's.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but my thing is okay.
- 31:35Speaker 3: He's already played for other teams, so it's not like
- 31:39Speaker 3: he's going to just be with one team.
- 31:40Speaker 1: He's still yeah. I agree, I'm with you. I think
- 31:44Speaker 1: if he wants to win.
- 31:45Speaker 4: He's got to perform.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Like you said, right, he's about a league average bat
- 31:49Speaker 3: right now this season. You know, okay, Krats, I opened
- 31:52Speaker 3: up Arena Club, put my own money in there, and
- 31:56Speaker 3: I wasn't gonna go big.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I know. We went over the Ruby pack a week ago.
- 31:59Speaker 3: This time, I just went for the low level pack
- 32:02Speaker 3: where it's an easy entry point twenty five bucks. You
- 32:04Speaker 3: can get yourself a big Boy card. The Grail has
- 32:07Speaker 3: many good options. I slice open the pack. We're looking
- 32:10Speaker 3: at it. If you're watching us right now and I
- 32:12Speaker 3: pull a card from the nineteen fifties, super cool. I
- 32:16Speaker 3: enjoyed the experience looking at it. It's Jim Gilliam, it's
- 32:19Speaker 3: the top set from the mid fifties.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It's cool. It's a Brooklyn Dodger. But it's worth more
- 32:25Speaker 1: than the card. Like I said, I'm gonna sell it back.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I got twenty eight bucks instantly, so I can buy
- 32:29Speaker 3: another one of those packs and try.
- 32:31Speaker 1: And get what I want.
- 32:33Speaker 5: Absolutely, the excitement I heard Kip say before. The excitement's
- 32:37Speaker 5: in the chase. You sold it back. Now you get
- 32:39Speaker 5: to open another one. I enjoy when you slide it
- 32:42Speaker 5: across the screen there and the pack opens.
- 32:44Speaker 1: You know where to go.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Arenaclub dot com slash foul twenty percent off your first
- 32:48Speaker 3: slab packer card purchase, Get after.
- 32:50Speaker 1: It Hot Corner.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Tommy Sam at the dish, Oh batflip, nice and tidy
- 33:00Speaker 3: on his way to first, but he turns around and
- 33:04Speaker 3: had some words for Tyler Hyeman. Blue Jay's catcher bench
- 33:07Speaker 3: is clear. FAM heads the first FAM at first, still
- 33:11Speaker 3: Jong with Heineman postgame quotes for everything. There's a lot okay, Tyler,
- 33:18Speaker 3: Heineman said, Fam didn't say a word to me. I
- 33:21Speaker 3: didn't say a word to him. He just looked like
- 33:23Speaker 3: he wanted to have a fight. I asked the umpires
- 33:26Speaker 3: on the two zero pitch, you got that just off
- 33:29Speaker 3: or the umpire? I was pretty close right there. He
- 33:31Speaker 3: looked at me and didn't say a word. Then Fam
- 33:33Speaker 3: bat flipped and looked straight at me. I just put
- 33:36Speaker 3: up my arms. He walked towards me. I don't really know.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Hineman said it was weird. It was unprovoked and super weird.
- 33:42Speaker 3: He also mentioned that he barely knew who Fam was,
- 33:45Speaker 3: and he said I wouldn't have said anything. I really
- 33:46Speaker 3: didn't like how he flipped the bat on a four
- 33:49Speaker 3: pitch walk a little weird, and he looked right back
- 33:51Speaker 3: at me. The video can probably tell you everything, but
- 33:53Speaker 3: you're probably just as confused.
- 33:55Speaker 1: As I am.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Tommy Fam replied and said about a ball not being
- 34:01Speaker 3: called a strike to the umpire when it's clearly below
- 34:03Speaker 3: the zone and away is disrespectful not only to the
- 34:05Speaker 3: umpire but the hitter as well. So, like I said,
- 34:07Speaker 3: when I flipped the bat.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Bleep him. Dude, just two years in the show, I
- 34:14Speaker 1: know the zone.
- 34:15Speaker 3: So he felt offended that they were checking the zone
- 34:18Speaker 3: on Tommy Fam who that's pretty good play discipline in
- 34:20Speaker 3: his career.
- 34:23Speaker 4: The best part of this designament goes, I don't know
- 34:25Speaker 4: who Tommy is.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Wait, there's another layer though, but there's a deleted sweet Tommy.
- 34:31Speaker 3: But this is where it carries into the rest of
- 34:33Speaker 3: the series. There's Blue Jays fans going after Tommy on
- 34:38Speaker 3: Twitter and one goes, you're thirty seven acting like this
- 34:42Speaker 3: on a non playoff Pirates team. Just retire and start
- 34:45Speaker 3: a family already, Tommy tough knuckles. Now, bat fan would
- 34:49Speaker 3: not say that to Tommy's face. He is a big
- 34:51Speaker 3: strong man. Tommy replied, your profile pick is of someone
- 34:54Speaker 3: who takes steroids loser. The profile pick is Addison Barger.
- 35:00Speaker 3: There are no stories or reports about anything to do
- 35:04Speaker 3: with that. In this young man's career. He's having a
- 35:07Speaker 3: breakout season. Tommy deleted that tweet, but damage don here.
- 35:12Speaker 1: We got.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Welcome to the WWE. Tommy fam is everyone's favorite WWE character.
- 35:19Speaker 3: He might have to be a little careful with what
- 35:21Speaker 3: he's thrown out their allegation wise, but he is entertaining
- 35:24Speaker 3: for a Pirate's Blue Jays game in mid August.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Pirates have been out of it since April.
- 35:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I love Tommy, but he can he can go.
- 35:33Speaker 6: He can go, Yes, WWE style on people. We've seen
- 35:36Speaker 6: him before. But yeah, Tommy, Tommy's Tommy, and Tommy can
- 35:40Speaker 6: lose his temper sometimes.
- 35:41Speaker 4: But I wouldn't mess with Tommy.
- 35:43Speaker 6: He might not know who he is, but after he
- 35:45Speaker 6: slaps you're, like it did Jock Peterson, you'll know.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Who he is.
- 35:47Speaker 3: He can throw a punch too. He works out combat
- 35:51Speaker 3: style in the off season. What do you think about
- 35:54Speaker 3: this next part though? The Crats? This is where the
- 35:57Speaker 3: story really erupts. Is I mean you shouldn't throw another
- 36:01Speaker 3: player's name out there like that?
- 36:05Speaker 1: No?
- 36:05Speaker 5: Like I mean he deleted it. So maybe I was
- 36:10Speaker 5: trying to look at the picture of Barger to figure
- 36:13Speaker 5: out who he thought the who he thought the picture
- 36:16Speaker 5: was of, or if he knows something that we don't
- 36:20Speaker 5: know how he would know that. I don't know, but
- 36:23Speaker 5: I don't know. You said, you said the Pirates have
- 36:26Speaker 5: been out of it since May. That is one thing
- 36:29Speaker 5: we talked earlier in the show about Cotell Marte. Tommy
- 36:33Speaker 5: FAM's never out of it. There is never a game
- 36:35Speaker 5: that Tommy fam Is taking off. There's never a pitch
- 36:38Speaker 5: I think that's why he's able to play at age
- 36:40Speaker 5: thirty seven. The way he's able to play, I think
- 36:43Speaker 5: he can add to a team. I'm surprised he didn't
- 36:45Speaker 5: get traded, even if it was for peanuts. Like this
- 36:50Speaker 5: dude is a winner and he puts everything he has
- 36:53Speaker 5: into it.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Is he touching fail?
- 36:56Speaker 4: Hold on?
- 36:57Speaker 1: There's a correction.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Suspended in twenty nineteen in the minor leagues for peds.
- 37:06Speaker 6: He was placed on the restricted list.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Well, is that ped.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Therapeutic use exemption is way different?
- 37:18Speaker 6: But he was on the restricted list for the twenty
- 37:20Speaker 6: nineteen for the second half, so I don't know if
- 37:23Speaker 6: he got confused, but he's played. He did do a
- 37:25Speaker 6: screenshot of him being put on the restricted list, so.
- 37:30Speaker 3: The screenshot from a twenty nineteen TSN article from twenty
- 37:33Speaker 3: twenty three that reported bardarra at a PED suspension on twenty.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Nine, Tommy wasn't wrong.
- 37:39Speaker 6: So Tommy did easy, easy, Easy easy.
- 37:44Speaker 5: With the steroids part. If it's a tue adderall, no
- 37:49Speaker 5: could be different.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Huh hold up? Are you allowed to take adderall? Are
- 37:55Speaker 4: you allowed to take outall.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Steroids? Is different than adderall?
- 37:59Speaker 4: Are you?
- 38:00Speaker 6: Are you not not only bullshit. Sorry, performance enhancing drug. No,
- 38:06Speaker 6: it's not different. It is not different, tom I can't.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Tommy said steroids, well, according to what he what Scott said,
- 38:15Speaker 6: though the article said that didn't it.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Restricted list and the miners does not inherently indicate a
- 38:27Speaker 3: drug suspension. There's no record of steroids suspension. Again, I'm
- 38:31Speaker 3: like chat gpting this on the fly here, so a
- 38:37Speaker 3: chat gypt says no, he has not been suspended for steroids.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Uh.
- 38:41Speaker 3: The only rumor appears to be an off the cuff
- 38:43Speaker 3: insult from Tommy fam non official finding instance on the
- 38:47Speaker 3: restricted list. We're never clarified and are not unusual for
- 38:50Speaker 3: a developing minor leaguer.
- 38:52Speaker 1: If you're curious about what restricted lists. Yeah, blah blah blah. Anyways,
- 38:56Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I guess to be continued, there's reporters out there that
- 39:00Speaker 3: will handle this if need be. But that is apparently
- 39:04Speaker 3: when Tommy is getting this. That's why he's throwing the
- 39:06Speaker 3: screenshot out there. You guys, I mean when a restricted
- 39:09Speaker 3: list can mean a million different things, I thought, if
- 39:11Speaker 3: you but we get those Friday news dump emails from
- 39:14Speaker 3: MLB when a player gets hit with the PD suspension
- 39:18Speaker 3: and even if you're a minor leaguer.
- 39:20Speaker 1: That's a thing. So I would think that if there
- 39:22Speaker 1: was a problem, we would have known about it. That's
- 39:24Speaker 1: usually public.
- 39:26Speaker 4: I don't know. So it's just this whole thing is
- 39:28Speaker 4: kind of funny.
- 39:28Speaker 6: And by the way, the people in the chat saying,
- 39:30Speaker 6: there's a guy in the chat saying, I hope I
- 39:31Speaker 6: get sued for slander.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Steroids is not equal adderall, adderall.
- 39:34Speaker 6: It doesn't finance your performance, it I mean, I don't
- 39:37Speaker 6: know it enhances your It's like a greenie.
- 39:40Speaker 4: You can't take a greenie.
- 39:40Speaker 2: It's the same thing.
- 39:41Speaker 6: It's illegalized pretty much greenie that players were taking.
- 39:46Speaker 1: You can. You can take adderall if you have an exemption.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, but if you don't have an exemption,
- 39:51Speaker 4: I can't take it. I didn't have an exemption.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a different topics to get it. Wait, but
- 39:55Speaker 3: hold up, let's let's fast forward to here for a second.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Does Tommy fam have to potentially aologize You can't throw
- 40:02Speaker 3: a player under the bus.
- 40:03Speaker 4: If that's that's true, you're gonna make him apologize.
- 40:05Speaker 1: No, I'm not doing anything.
- 40:06Speaker 3: But does the team have a conversation like the pr
- 40:09Speaker 3: with the team, or he just does his own thing.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I mean, Barker might just say nothing. I don't know him,
- 40:14Speaker 3: we haven't had him on the show. But if i'm him,
- 40:16Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, don't throw that out at me. Restricted
- 40:19Speaker 3: list could be like you're dealing with a family thing
- 40:20Speaker 3: and you're out for a few days.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Again, I don't talk.
- 40:25Speaker 4: Me or Tommy anybody. Yeah, you don't know, don't talk
- 40:28Speaker 4: on WHOA.
- 40:29Speaker 1: This took a turn anyway. Tommy's got to be careful
- 40:33Speaker 1: or not.
- 40:34Speaker 3: But he is the WWE heels. He is entertaining, he
- 40:41Speaker 3: goes for it, and he is fired up. And this
- 40:44Speaker 3: series continues. I know, we got two minutes. Crattats as
- 40:59Speaker 3: quick as you can because I want to ask you
- 41:00Speaker 3: guys something with a minute to spare.
- 41:03Speaker 5: Ring that freaking belly in the game.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Later, we didn't have time to do a whole segment
- 41:10Speaker 3: on this. But you know, Kyle Tucker struggling immensely in
- 41:12Speaker 3: the past month, even you know, in the past two months,
- 41:15Speaker 3: really a ton rolling over a ton of balls, blah
- 41:17Speaker 3: blah blah. Still in the season, he's got good numbers,
- 41:20Speaker 3: really good numbers, right, and he does go through these ruts.
- 41:22Speaker 3: This one's a little longer than usual. My question for
- 41:24Speaker 3: you guys, should Cubs fans be booing him for struggling
- 41:28Speaker 3: in a six month or six weeks period, and also
- 41:30Speaker 3: you want to keep him if you're Kyle Tucker still
- 41:32Speaker 3: a human being, Like, and I'm not against booing, but
- 41:36Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, don't you want him to re sign? Yes,
- 41:41Speaker 3: I'm change the complexion of the offense for the first
- 41:43Speaker 3: half of the season, and he still has like a
- 41:45Speaker 3: one forty oh ps plus, great defender, great base runner.
- 41:49Speaker 3: He's going through it mechanically right now. And maybe you
- 41:52Speaker 3: know from the whatever when he broke a figure something
- 41:55Speaker 3: happened at one point too. But I'm just like, should
- 41:59Speaker 3: we be booing him?
- 42:01Speaker 1: That's the right guy to boom.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Let's be careful there, Yeah, be nice, Cubs fans, be
- 42:12Speaker 3: nice because they're not going to necessarily give.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Him the biggest offer in the off Sea, White Sox.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Fans, Cup fans.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Oh, but that's my point. Go for it.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Yeah, if you want Kyle Tucker trade for big pieces
- 42:30Speaker 3: at the deadline. Didn't do that, And don't boo his ass.
- 42:33Speaker 3: He's got a plus and a four win player. You
- 42:38Speaker 3: can take a little swing on your next MLB parlay
- 42:41Speaker 3: with the parlot.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Boost token to score bigger payout.
- 42:43Speaker 3: If your baseball parlay hits, go check that out in
- 42:46Speaker 3: the bed MGM app or on bedmgm dot com under
