- 0:02Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You know, the life of a game's master is not
- 0:43Speaker 2: always easy. Sometimes you slave away over these things. They
- 0:48Speaker 2: spend They spend more time and energy than you would
- 0:51Speaker 2: think into putting together some fun games for your friends
- 0:55Speaker 2: to play for a show. And then they show up
- 0:58Speaker 2: and nobody is giving a crap to read them.
- 1:03Speaker 3: So crap, And she told me about it.
- 1:09Speaker 4: Yeah, she was crapping and read all your stuff.
- 1:12Speaker 5: All right, Well that's true.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Thank you, Lauren for at least having some modicum of
- 1:19Speaker 2: respect for me, uh for everyone else. I apparently am
- 1:27Speaker 2: going to inflict three games on you. We are having
- 1:33Speaker 2: our first possibly not the only now special. Oh yes,
- 1:40Speaker 2: this episode is all about weird Al and his music
- 1:44Speaker 2: and the things he's done. And oh boy, I if I,
- 1:50Speaker 2: if I hadn't had my soul crush the instant before
- 1:53Speaker 2: we started the show, I would be going on about
- 1:55Speaker 2: how much fun this was going to be, how it's
- 1:58Speaker 2: going to be laughs of playing this is going to
- 2:01Speaker 2: be crazy and insane. But now I now I just
- 2:06Speaker 2: want to get through it. Now, I just want to
- 2:07Speaker 2: get through it, So so let's get through it. We
- 2:11Speaker 2: have special guests Lauren from the beard Al podcast and
- 2:16Speaker 2: her husband Russ, and the two of them together make
- 2:18Speaker 2: the Infectious group YouTube channel.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Hi, guys prepared.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I've never heard of lard aw it's right.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an effective backpedal. Russ. So, I guess if
- 2:40Speaker 2: I had a question, it would be, uh, what is
- 2:45Speaker 2: something that you've only just learned to appreciate? What is
- 2:52Speaker 2: something that you've only just learned to appreciate?
- 2:58Speaker 6: I know an answer for you. If food counts?
- 3:01Speaker 5: If food counts, go.
- 3:04Speaker 6: On, what did you just eat recently for the first
- 3:06Speaker 6: time you finally gave it a chance?
- 3:08Speaker 2: Rubens Rubens, Ruben sandwiches?
- 3:12Speaker 5: Hell, yeah, yeah, I had my trepidations about several components
- 3:19Speaker 5: of the Ruben sandwich. I wasn't. I'm not. I'm not
- 3:23Speaker 5: a big uh person.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I was not, which is not part of the weird albit.
- 3:30Speaker 5: No, and I like she really dedicated it. Just didn't
- 3:38Speaker 5: like the sound of the phrase corned beef.
- 3:44Speaker 2: To be fair, take it in in isolation. This is
- 3:48Speaker 2: a little weird. It's a little weird. How are you
- 3:50Speaker 2: corning it? How are you corning the beef? Corn is
- 3:55Speaker 2: not a verb? Do you how how did how did
- 3:58Speaker 2: you corn the beef? Anyway? Carry on, Lauren, I'm sorry, No,
- 4:02Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 4:03Speaker 5: And so yeah, recently we were at an authentic Irish
- 4:07Speaker 5: pub in Saint Augustine and I decided to try ruben
- 4:13Speaker 5: situation and I was fine with it, like it's you know.
- 4:18Speaker 5: So this makes Russ happy because he's been wanting to
- 4:20Speaker 5: make Rubens on our griddle and he's like, I'm not
- 4:23Speaker 5: going to go through all of this trouble if you're
- 4:26Speaker 5: not going to eat it. So now, very good.
- 4:31Speaker 2: The ruben?
- 4:33Speaker 6: Did you? I mean, did you have one?
- 4:34Speaker 5: Nothing?
- 4:35Speaker 4: Oh?
- 4:35Speaker 6: I thought you said you had something. He did not,
- 4:37Speaker 6: so you were unprepared. I was damn it.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I know.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Well, Lauren, I think that was a brilliant answer. You're
- 4:46Speaker 2: my favorite person on this podcast. So uh, Russ's same
- 4:50Speaker 2: question to you, is there anything that you've recently learned
- 4:53Speaker 2: to appreciate?
- 4:56Speaker 6: I made you think if there was one for you? Interesting?
- 5:00Speaker 2: I like this they know answers for each other.
- 5:05Speaker 7: Yacht rock, oh for sure?
- 5:07Speaker 6: Well yeah, within like the last Oh man, I want
- 5:10Speaker 6: to be clear, I've never hated it like I've never
- 5:14Speaker 6: like when Michael McDonald yacht rock for me, is Michael McDonald.
- 5:17Speaker 6: He's the captain, uh, the Pina Colada guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 6: some people count Toto. I do, and I don't. Anyways,
- 5:26Speaker 6: that that type of mean Christopher Cross, that type music.
- 5:29Speaker 6: I've never ever disliked it, like ever, Like I've never
- 5:31Speaker 6: been like, oh, turn that crap off or anything like that.
- 5:34Speaker 6: But it was a thing that my folks never listened
- 5:37Speaker 6: to when it was big, like in like seventy eight
- 5:39Speaker 6: through like eighty two is probably the day. Yeah, So anyways,
- 5:43Speaker 6: my folks never listened to it, so like I knew
- 5:45Speaker 6: of it, but it was not on in Lauren's the opposite,
- 5:47Speaker 6: like it was on in their house like all of
- 5:48Speaker 6: the time as a kid. So it's fun because there
- 5:53Speaker 6: are like like hair metal other than like like the
- 5:57Speaker 6: biggest hits. Lauren doesn't know too much about it, and
- 6:00Speaker 6: for sure, like the early days of rap and hip hop,
- 6:03Speaker 6: she doesn't know too much about so like I've like
- 6:06Speaker 6: kind of educated her on all that stuff, like giving
- 6:08Speaker 6: her crash courses on that, but she's like taken me
- 6:10Speaker 6: from like like again not going turn that crap off,
- 6:14Speaker 6: but just never turning on yacht rock myself right to
- 6:18Speaker 6: where like now I'm like, oh, did you see that
- 6:20Speaker 6: one yacht rock cover band's coming to town?
- 6:21Speaker 2: We should go you nice, nice cool. So I would
- 6:25Speaker 2: understand if you gave it a pass because to my knowledge,
- 6:28Speaker 2: it was created with AI, which I always kind of
- 6:32Speaker 2: like just kind of shud her away from. But have
- 6:35Speaker 2: you heard the yacht rock cover of Enter Sandman?
- 6:40Speaker 6: I have it, but I'm sure it's I'm sure it's great.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It is such an earworm, Like I hate that it
- 6:46Speaker 2: was I hate that it was AI generated. I wish
- 6:50Speaker 2: what I want to hear is someone take that and
- 6:51Speaker 2: do like a live version of it, because it is
- 6:54Speaker 2: so goddamn catching, like I cannot believe it worked.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Yeah. Well, I you know, there's that old adage like
- 7:03Speaker 6: if you and I don't know exactly what the phrasing is,
- 7:05Speaker 6: but more or less like if you have a song
- 7:07Speaker 6: that you can break down to acoustic, then you have
- 7:09Speaker 6: like a really good song, you know, And I would
- 7:11Speaker 6: argue that you can. You would say that about a
- 7:13Speaker 6: different types of things, like like take the song Billaging.
- 7:16Speaker 6: There's like a million different versions of it out there.
- 7:19Speaker 6: There's like bluegrass versions of it, and there's v version,
- 7:23Speaker 6: there's rock versions like and there's so it's not like,
- 7:26Speaker 6: oh wow, I never understood why Billyging was such a
- 7:28Speaker 6: big hit. That's why it's such a big hit, because
- 7:30Speaker 6: you can do it as every other genre. And sand
- 7:32Speaker 6: Man's the same way. Like, I know, there's a bunch
- 7:34Speaker 6: of Metallica purists that are like, oh, there's hold out whatever,
- 7:37Speaker 6: it's fantastic mus I kind of care who says it
- 7:40Speaker 6: Isn't you know? A three minute Metallica song in their
- 7:43Speaker 6: heyday is still as good as an as a nine
- 7:45Speaker 6: minute Metallica song in their hey day in my opinion,
- 7:47Speaker 6: And that is just like, that's the epitome of a
- 7:51Speaker 6: radio friendly hard rock song. And there's a reason why,
- 7:54Speaker 6: because you can put it into any other genre. You
- 7:56Speaker 6: could probably make a rap song out of a sad
- 7:58Speaker 6: man it would still kick ass.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, uh, and I agree with you. I also
- 8:04Speaker 2: recently threw that song or learned to appreciate yacht rock
- 8:06Speaker 2: a little bit more. So, Yeah, Russ, you're my second
- 8:10Speaker 2: favorite person on this podcast. All right. Now, we turned
- 8:13Speaker 2: to the Dream Team themselves. Hey, yo, is in the
- 8:17Speaker 2: dream of winning one day? Is Stevie and Aggie Hype?
- 8:21Speaker 4: I was man?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, anyway, So which one of you wants to answer
- 8:29Speaker 2: the question first.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I will if you want, all right, Stevie, sure, actual
- 8:33Speaker 1: listening to the radio, like actual radio.
- 8:35Speaker 4: I haven't done that.
- 8:37Speaker 2: No, No, I completely get that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's always been podcasts or Pandora or just
- 8:42Speaker 1: like whatever I play in my thumb drive and that's it.
- 8:44Speaker 4: I got away from radio for years.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And since i've been hanging out in here and rest
- 8:49Speaker 1: got me those radio I've been actually like freaking throwing
- 8:51Speaker 1: it on a station, just chilling out for an hour
- 8:53Speaker 1: or two, just listen to random stuff, go back over,
- 8:55Speaker 1: change it to something different.
- 8:56Speaker 4: It's been fun, man fair.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It's different, but it's I don't know, kind of brought
- 9:01Speaker 1: me back to my youth a little bit.
- 9:02Speaker 4: It's kind of nice.
- 9:03Speaker 6: May I quickly try and interject something about radio?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Go for it?
- 9:06Speaker 6: Okay, So I don't. I honestly don't know if I've
- 9:08Speaker 6: talked about this on this show before. I can't remember
- 9:10Speaker 6: if I've told you all or not. But obviously I
- 9:12Speaker 6: grew up on Casey Kasem, like he's like ty percent.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Every time there's a song on, I go, hey, did
- 9:18Speaker 6: you know? And it's because Casey Kasem taught me when
- 9:20Speaker 6: I was a kid. Okay, there has always been a
- 9:23Speaker 6: station on iHeartRadio, which is a free app that's Casey
- 9:26Speaker 6: Kaseum countdowns from the seventies and eighties, right, and it's
- 9:29Speaker 6: just all countdowns, like it's got the long distance medications,
- 9:33Speaker 6: all my facts from the seventies and eighties. We listen
- 9:36Speaker 6: to it constantly.
- 9:39Speaker 5: American American.
- 9:40Speaker 6: She loves the one that does the robots. Anyway, it's
- 9:46Speaker 6: all stuff from like the seventies and eighties, and there's
- 9:49Speaker 6: no rhyme or reason. They just go seventies and then
- 9:50Speaker 6: they go eighties. And so it'll be like, here's a
- 9:53Speaker 6: countdown from September whatever, third of nineteen seventy one, and
- 9:57Speaker 6: then it'll be like, here's the top forty countdown from
- 10:00Speaker 6: you know, April fourth of nineteen eighty eight or whatever.
- 10:03Speaker 6: You know, it's just it's awesome. Anyways, two days ago
- 10:07Speaker 6: we came into the information that there's now a second
- 10:09Speaker 6: Casey Kasum station that's just nineties and two thousands countdowns.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Why and it is because but by the mid nineties,
- 10:19Speaker 6: I was driving around in my own car. I was
- 10:20Speaker 6: listening to CDs and m P three's all the time,
- 10:22Speaker 6: like I wasn't lessening to trust for radio much anymore.
- 10:24Speaker 6: And it is funny as hell for Lauren and I
- 10:27Speaker 6: to hear Casey Kasem because we've never heard these countdowns.
- 10:30Speaker 6: We grew up on the eighties ones, right, so the
- 10:33Speaker 6: nineties ones. It's funny as hell to hear Casey Casem
- 10:35Speaker 6: be like jow rule and you know, you know, like
- 10:41Speaker 6: uh Desty's child, I'm gonna get mine, you know. Like
- 10:46Speaker 6: the other day. The other day I heard him introduce
- 10:48Speaker 6: mur and five and I was like, I totally thought
- 10:50Speaker 6: Casey had passed away by the time. In five was
- 10:52Speaker 6: a thing, you know. So anyways, if you go onto iHeartRadio,
- 10:55Speaker 6: it's free app type in Casey Caseum and subscribe to
- 10:58Speaker 6: both of those stations. No matter which one you listen to,
- 11:01Speaker 6: you're going to have a good time.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It's true.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You guys told me about that like months ago, and
- 11:05Speaker 1: I actually brought it into school and I would play
- 11:08Speaker 1: That's the only station I have on iHeartRadio. I don't
- 11:10Speaker 1: listen because I've never used it. That was the only
- 11:12Speaker 1: thing I can find the Casey case on Top forty.
- 11:14Speaker 1: They had like a station on some other stuff, but
- 11:17Speaker 1: it wasn't the top forty. It was just some random
- 11:18Speaker 1: songs of that era.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Right, casey case, I'm into the search bar. You'll see
- 11:22Speaker 6: both stations.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Now, that's cool.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Well done and oggie your response.
- 11:29Speaker 7: My response in theme of recently.
- 11:33Speaker 8: Being Thanksgiving, I have discovered, well for myself, really, the
- 11:39Speaker 8: so good usage of an emmodium after dinner.
- 11:49Speaker 9: I man, I tell you, I don't know about your Thanksgiving. Well,
- 11:54Speaker 9: my Thanksgiving it was a lot of food, and then
- 11:57Speaker 9: we decided to have spicy food the day after. Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 9: which was not a very smart idea.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I thought it was a good idea, but.
- 12:06Speaker 9: Man rediscovering thumbs and emodium.
- 12:14Speaker 2: His answer underwhelming as always well done.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Okay, so.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I am your host pantsil Saran. The thing I recently
- 12:25Speaker 2: learned to appreciate is a game that I've been meaning
- 12:27Speaker 2: to play for a long time. It's called Disruptor and
- 12:30Speaker 2: it's for the PlayStation one. It goes all the way
- 12:33Speaker 2: back there and it's a Doom clone that has full
- 12:36Speaker 2: motion video as like the story beats in between. Okay,
- 12:40Speaker 2: this full motion video cutscenes. You got live actors talking
- 12:43Speaker 2: to each other and YadA YadA, YadA. Uh And it's cheesy.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It's poorly written, but damn tack game isn't fun like
- 12:49Speaker 2: it's actually a good Doom clone for for the PS one.
- 12:53Speaker 2: So if you have a PlayStation one and you have
- 12:56Speaker 2: Disrupt your line around, or you can find it at
- 12:58Speaker 2: your local retro game shop, I recommend checking it out.
- 13:00Speaker 2: It's got to be cheap.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Because for the full motion cut scenes alone, man, I
- 13:03Speaker 6: mean yeah, that was a time in gaming. Man, that's
- 13:07Speaker 6: the worst acting in the history of acts.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Oh and in this this is this ain't no no different.
- 13:14Speaker 2: It ain't no different.
- 13:16Speaker 6: The President bought a Segacy d on launch day.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But the best though, because it's so much it's so
- 13:27Speaker 2: much fun. How much scenery they're chewing all of them
- 13:32Speaker 2: and disruptors No, no, no exception to that rule. The
- 13:36Speaker 2: villain is just chewing the cut scene for chewing the
- 13:38Speaker 2: scenery for always worth anyway.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Green screen or a blue screen. It's just.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Well, actually they used live sets and disruptor, which I
- 13:48Speaker 2: thought was impressive. Really yeah, they actually went to the
- 13:50Speaker 2: effort of building actual sets. Like it's wows it wasn't,
- 13:56Speaker 2: Mike you They weren't impressive sets still sex, but still sets.
- 14:02Speaker 2: So let's get to it, shall we. This is the
- 14:05Speaker 2: Weird Al Show, so to speak, the Weird lbfytw Show.
- 14:09Speaker 2: So all three of our games are gonna be weird
- 14:11Speaker 2: Al themed. We're gonna have lots of fun. We're starting
- 14:13Speaker 2: with game one, which is called Anti Karaoke. I've got
- 14:18Speaker 2: four lists of weird al song titles from commercially released albums,
- 14:23Speaker 2: and yes this does include some of the compilations according
- 14:27Speaker 2: to Wikipedia, and each team is going to take it
- 14:30Speaker 2: in turns to try and communicate as many of the
- 14:33Speaker 2: titles in their list to their partner within sixty seconds
- 14:38Speaker 2: without using any words from the title, without using any
- 14:42Speaker 2: lyrics from the song, without using your hands, and critically
- 14:47Speaker 2: without singing. Your voice must maintain a monotone throughout. If
- 14:53Speaker 2: your tone varies in any significant way, the current title
- 14:56Speaker 2: will be voided and you'll have to move on to
- 14:57Speaker 2: the next. After both play on, each team have had
- 15:01Speaker 2: a chance to both give and guess. The team that
- 15:04Speaker 2: successfully guessed the most titles over both lists wins and
- 15:08Speaker 2: earns one episode point. So Russell, Lauren, I'm pretty sure
- 15:11Speaker 2: you won the last time you guys were here, So
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna give it to the Dream Team. Stevie and
- 15:15Speaker 2: Augie would you guys like to go first or second,
- 15:23Speaker 2: And I will say some of these lists may be
- 15:25Speaker 2: harder than others.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Figured we can go first.
- 15:30Speaker 2: You're gonna go first.
- 15:32Speaker 10: Okay, Okay, you're gonna go first, in which.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Case one of you needs to volunteer to be the giver.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Who's gonna give the clues.
- 15:41Speaker 4: I'll give the first one, all right.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Stevie's gonna give these clues to Augy. Uh, Stevie, I
- 15:47Speaker 2: am going to text you these titles. Bear with me
- 15:51Speaker 2: for a moment.
- 15:52Speaker 1: There you are, awesome, there, I is there, there.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And I'm gonna paste them in here. There they are.
- 15:58Speaker 2: There's seven oops.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Oh there's six.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Sorry, yeah, one of them got the first. The first
- 16:06Speaker 2: one was missing a letter, so I have just just
- 16:09Speaker 2: kind of fixed that there. So you now should have
- 16:13Speaker 2: all seven titles, start with the one that I fixed.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And remember you're not allowed to use any words. You're
- 16:20Speaker 2: not allowed to any words from the from the title.
- 16:24Speaker 2: You're not allowed to use lyrics from the song. You
- 16:27Speaker 2: can't use your hands, and you have to not say
- 16:30Speaker 2: do you have to deliver your clues and a monotone
- 16:32Speaker 2: the whole time.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I'm going to put sixty seconds the clock, sixty second time,
- 16:43Speaker 2: okay and nope, nope, nope. There we go sixty seconds
- 16:50Speaker 2: on the clock and your time starts now.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Michael Jackson.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Thriller.
- 17:00Speaker 4: These are weird l songs. Oh uh uh fat The other.
- 17:09Speaker 11: One ship Uh, there's like, god damn it, the mind
- 17:16Speaker 11: food got food?
- 17:20Speaker 2: Uh?
- 17:21Speaker 7: Ship, I can't remember, yes past.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Please selling things online?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Uh? eBay?
- 17:31Speaker 4: The other one. There are two sites you.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Buy things online Amazon from used things.
- 17:41Speaker 7: Use things eBay?
- 17:44Speaker 11: Uh local, Well, I don't fucking know that.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Look that health incredible? Yeah, cool sixty you've got zero.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Awesome, you got zero?
- 18:03Speaker 2: The Russ and Lauren did you? Can you guess on
- 18:06Speaker 2: either of those?
- 18:09Speaker 5: Speed it in Craigslist?
- 18:12Speaker 2: There you go. It wasn't. The first one was eating
- 18:15Speaker 2: and the second one was Craigslist and poor Stevie.
- 18:19Speaker 8: I'll be honest, I haven't read the word Craigslist in
- 18:22Speaker 8: like the last five years, so that's true.
- 18:26Speaker 6: I don't even is it even still?
- 18:28Speaker 4: Is it still around?
- 18:30Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Somebody needs to put out a misconnection for Craigslist.
- 18:36Speaker 4: That's where they.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Started, all right, Well, that one will better than expected.
- 18:46Speaker 1: It's hard to do it monotone to without trying anything
- 18:51Speaker 1: that's difficult.
- 18:52Speaker 7: No, the other one, well, there's gonna be I know you're.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Uh Russ and or Lauren? Which one of you wants
- 19:03Speaker 2: to give the clues first?
- 19:05Speaker 6: You're probably better at giving the clues.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Okay, I'll give the clues.
- 19:08Speaker 2: You will give see. I mean we're going to have
- 19:10Speaker 2: to find you. There you are, Hi, Lauren. I'm going
- 19:14Speaker 2: to send you your list of seven on discord. Okay, Lauren,
- 19:18Speaker 2: you should have seven song titles there, I sure do. Okay,
- 19:22Speaker 2: I'm going to set up the timer and Lauren on
- 19:27Speaker 2: your mark, get set go.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Medical profession, but like a surgeon.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Correct.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Yes, the elvis one.
- 19:40Speaker 6: One more minute.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Correct.
- 19:45Speaker 5: There is a license plate with the other person in
- 19:49Speaker 5: this show on the wall in this room.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Yeah, oh Ricky correct.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Yes, it was written by because they couldn't get a
- 20:01Speaker 5: song for the UHF scene.
- 20:04Speaker 6: Oh h you just told me this again the other night.
- 20:08Speaker 6: The song let Me Be Your Hog?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Correct.
- 20:12Speaker 5: The final compilation song in a style that uses a
- 20:18Speaker 5: lot of accordion, the very last one that he did
- 20:21Speaker 5: on an album. Oh now that's what I call correct infomercials.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Time. Oh oh, very well done.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Oh damn it.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, mister po Pale is correct. Yeah, that was the
- 20:39Speaker 2: last one, but you got them all. Other than that,
- 20:43Speaker 2: the only one you the only one you didn't get to,
- 20:45Speaker 2: which would have been interesting to see, was the theme
- 20:48Speaker 2: to comedy Bang Bang.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Wow.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah wow. Well the last one on the list is
- 20:54Speaker 2: supposed to be the hardest one.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Anyway, that's five points to us and Lauren. So uh,
- 21:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna go ahead and let them take the next list. Yeah. Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 2: so you guys are the ones that have to catch up. Actually, no,
- 21:11Speaker 2: I think it would make more sense to have you
- 21:12Speaker 2: guys do it.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I don't know, it doesn't really matter either way.
- 21:15Speaker 2: They are five points ahead, so you're gonna have to
- 21:17Speaker 2: do really well to catch up. So I guess you
- 21:20Speaker 2: got a point. Yeah, it doesn't really matter which way
- 21:23Speaker 2: we do this, but where you're going to do or
- 21:28Speaker 2: if I can, if I can get this to scroll up,
- 21:31Speaker 2: there we go. All right, So I need this list
- 21:35Speaker 2: and OGI this time you'll be the one giving, so
- 21:41Speaker 2: have fun with these. Hoo rah, don't sound so enthusised.
- 21:47Speaker 4: You got this all.
- 21:49Speaker 6: He somehow sounded less excited than last time.
- 21:52Speaker 7: I'm getting my monotone voice going already.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Smart, Smart, you gotta practice it.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I'm like, do I not have you in here?
- 22:00Speaker 7: Would be kind of weird?
- 22:01Speaker 2: There you are, all right, and I'm texting them to you. Now, okay,
- 22:11Speaker 2: let me know when you receive them.
- 22:14Speaker 7: Got them?
- 22:14Speaker 2: Okay, you have sixty seconds to communicate these in a
- 22:21Speaker 2: monotone voice.
- 22:24Speaker 7: Go opposite of fashionable?
- 22:27Speaker 2: Uh?
- 22:28Speaker 4: Oh tachy correct? If you gotta skip it, skip it?
- 22:35Speaker 7: Yeah one? Uh you egal speech?
- 22:46Speaker 4: Uh, legal speech, give me an arclue at all?
- 22:50Speaker 2: Or no?
- 22:51Speaker 7: Um dictionary?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Oh thesaurus freaking word crimes is correct?
- 23:01Speaker 7: Yes, I gotta pass on this.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Okay, on to the next.
- 23:06Speaker 7: I gotta pass the next one.
- 23:07Speaker 2: It's okay, on to the next. Uh.
- 23:10Speaker 7: The episodes first three.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Star Wars, Episode one, New Hope Star Wars.
- 23:20Speaker 2: That was it crap begins, Yes, just in time, just
- 23:25Speaker 2: before the clock hit zero.

- 23:30Speaker 11: seeing them.
- 23:32Speaker 5: Don't know what to tell me.
- 23:35Speaker 2: George Harrison, Oh correct, blurred lines. Well you got word
- 23:41Speaker 2: crimes eventually, match game celebrity oh CNR Yeah uh and uh.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Trapped in tiny room with Wheel of Fortune assistant.
- 23:54Speaker 7: Closet, I couldn't figure out how I would portray the songs.
- 23:59Speaker 7: Just six words long without saying saying any number at all. Really,
- 24:04Speaker 7: I could have said number but more than more than five,
- 24:08Speaker 7: less than seven, more lesson seven.
- 24:11Speaker 2: He might have gotten it just from the six. Yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 2: there's not too many weird el songs with six in
- 24:16Speaker 2: the title anyway.
- 24:17Speaker 7: But I wasn't allowed to say six though.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to work around it.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Job.
- 24:22Speaker 2: You still did good, fashionable three points. Three points to
- 24:27Speaker 2: the boys. And now back to the back to the
- 24:31Speaker 2: powerhouses that are uh Lauren and Russ for their final list. Here,
- 24:37Speaker 2: I'm just gonna make sure I have them all. Yes, Okay,
- 24:41Speaker 2: I'm so excited.
- 24:42Speaker 7: I'm so scared.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Uh Russ, I'm going to send these to you if
- 24:47Speaker 2: I can find you. There you are, I think there
- 24:50Speaker 2: you are. Okay, Okay, Russ, I have sent you seven
- 24:56Speaker 2: song titles. Let me know when you get them. Got it,
- 24:58Speaker 2: all right? Communicate these to Lauren as best you can
- 25:02Speaker 2: in sixty seconds without using any inflections or any words
- 25:06Speaker 2: from the title or any lyrics. And your sixty seconds
- 25:10Speaker 2: starts now.
- 25:12Speaker 6: Controversy. I'll talk show, talk, soup. No bare naked.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Ladies, oh jermy Springer.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Correct, not that footwear.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Please don't wear those shoes. Correct, Chuck and Diane Buckingham Blues.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Correct a complicated song.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Correct instrumental from UHF Death Fun Zone. Correct Mick Jagger
- 25:42Speaker 6: and his friends in the style of a German music
- 25:46Speaker 6: from UHF.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Oh crap, it's the name of.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Their hits album.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Hot Rocks Poka.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Correct.
- 25:56Speaker 6: When you are sending me electronic correspondence, there's things I
- 25:59Speaker 6: don't one spam, Nope, nope, like what you would actually
- 26:05Speaker 6: say to.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Someone stop correct, Come on, well done, well done, with
- 26:17Speaker 5: three seconds left on the clock, all seven, so you
- 26:23Speaker 5: had them beat from the off.
- 26:24Speaker 2: You didn't even need to do that list. It was
- 26:26Speaker 2: five points to three. You are now twelve points to three,
- 26:29Speaker 2: and I wanted to see if you could get all seven.
- 26:31Speaker 2: And of course you did. Well done, both of you do.
- 26:35Speaker 2: That's amazing. So Russ and Lauren have our first episode
- 26:37Speaker 2: point of the game. They are leading one point to zero,
- 26:41Speaker 2: but of course the episode's not over. Game two is
- 26:45Speaker 2: weth two episode points and Steve and Augie can clot
- 26:48Speaker 2: right back if they can win it right after this.
- 27:02Speaker 12: Hey there, I'm Dave, the host of Beer in front.
- 27:07Speaker 12: Sometimes the beer in front of you is the best
- 27:09Speaker 12: one yet. I'll talk about some old school beers that
- 27:13Speaker 12: maybe you've forgotten about, some new beers that have the
- 27:17Speaker 12: potential to be a classic. I'll also talk to various
- 27:21Speaker 12: people around the beer world and get their stories all
- 27:25Speaker 12: about beer. That's Beer in Front and it's available on
- 27:29Speaker 12: all of your favorite podcast apps.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back to the Weird Al episode of
- 27:50Speaker 2: bfytw with Russ and Lauren from the Infectious Group YouTube
- 27:55Speaker 2: channel and the Beer Al podcast. And we are having
- 27:58Speaker 2: a blast already, but we're gonna conte and you. We
- 28:00Speaker 2: got game two coming up now. Game two is one
- 28:04Speaker 2: or the other. I have three lists of ten things,
- 28:08Speaker 2: and I'm going to ask teams alternately if a thing
- 28:12Speaker 2: belongs to one side or the other. Is it one
- 28:15Speaker 2: or is it the other? That's all you gotta tell
- 28:16Speaker 2: me fifty to fifty shot of getting it right, even
- 28:18Speaker 2: if you don't know. If you're right, you get a point.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Nothing happens if you're wrong. We'll continue that way for
- 28:26Speaker 2: two lists, but the third and final list you'll have
- 28:29Speaker 2: to tell me if it's one thing, the other or
- 28:32Speaker 2: both because it's harder. That third list is worth double points,
- 28:38Speaker 2: so you get two points every time you correct. Cool,
- 28:40Speaker 2: So Stevie and A. You lost the last game, so
- 28:42Speaker 2: you have the choice do you want to go first
- 28:44Speaker 2: or second? Remembering that this if you go first, you'll
- 28:47Speaker 2: go first for list three.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Right, I think we're gonna go second this time.
- 28:53Speaker 2: You're gonna go second this time? All right, so I
- 28:55Speaker 2: am going to make Russ and Lauren go first on
- 28:58Speaker 2: this list? Are these quotes from the Weird Al Show
- 29:05Speaker 2: or Miss Manners? Are these quotes from the Weird Al
- 29:11Speaker 2: Show or from the author I believe her name is Judith,
- 29:16Speaker 2: who wrote the Miss Manners books. All right, so we're
- 29:21Speaker 2: gonna start with your first quote, and all you have
- 29:23Speaker 2: to do is tell me was it from the Weird
- 29:25Speaker 2: Al Show or was it Miss Manners? Russe and Lauren?
- 29:28Speaker 2: The invention of the teenager was a mistake, Miss Manners. Okay,
- 29:37Speaker 2: you both locked in on Miss Manners. Stevie and A.
- 29:41Speaker 2: You're nodding your heads.
- 29:42Speaker 4: I agree, Yeah, I'm in agreement.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, all right, fair enough, Russe and Lauren? Final,
- 29:47Speaker 2: ancy you locking it in?
- 29:49Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Miss Manners is correct and worth a point. Well done? Nice? Okay,
- 29:55Speaker 2: see it's very simple, Stevie and Augie. Yeah, someone needs
- 30:00Speaker 2: to tell these people that they might need a jacket.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Is that from the weird Al Show or is that
- 30:07Speaker 2: from Miss Manners.
- 30:08Speaker 4: I think we're gonna go with weird Al Show.
- 30:10Speaker 2: You are okay, Weird Else Show. Russell Lauren agreed? Disagree?
- 30:14Speaker 6: What do you think?
- 30:14Speaker 5: I disagree?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Oh?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Disagree? She thinks it's well. Uh, you guys can listen
- 30:20Speaker 2: to that or you can stick to your guns. Final answer, please.
- 30:24Speaker 7: I take your stick to our gun.
- 30:26Speaker 2: You're sticking with the weird Ol Show and that gets
- 30:29Speaker 2: you a point. It is from the Weird Al Show.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Well done. Uh, here is your next quote, Russell Lauren.
- 30:37Speaker 2: If you can't be kind, at least be vague.
- 30:44Speaker 7: Wow, that's awesome.
- 30:48Speaker 6: It's a great policy.
- 30:52Speaker 7: That's good advice give parents.
- 30:55Speaker 5: That's what I'm going Yeah, okay, Mismanners, we're gonna go.
- 30:58Speaker 2: With Miss Manners, gonna go with you are correct for
- 31:02Speaker 2: another point? Well done? Nice uh, Stevie and Augy. No
- 31:09Speaker 2: directions are better than bad directions.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Oh crap. I want to say it's weird l but
- 31:21Speaker 4: it could very well be. Okay, we're switching the Miss Manners.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Okay, Miss Manners, it is Russ and Lauren. You agree disagree?
- 31:34Speaker 5: Mm hmm. I think I disagree, but I'm I'm not
- 31:37Speaker 5: really hollow on it.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Well, we'll disagree justus for that.
- 31:39Speaker 5: I'm gonna disagree just for that of it.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Because all right, so Russe and Lauren have decided to
- 31:46Speaker 2: be vague direction, which means they can't be kind to you, Stevie,
- 31:52Speaker 2: and you initially said, Miss Manners, are you sticking to that?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah, we're gonna stick with our guns.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Okay, no point. That is from the Weird Al Showang's.
- 32:01Speaker 5: In the episode where the miners get stuck in the wall.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Fantastic. All right, let's move on, Russ and Lauren. Here's
- 32:13Speaker 2: your next quote. Charming villains have always had a decided
- 32:17Speaker 2: social advantage over well meaning people who chew with their
- 32:20Speaker 2: mouths open. Charming villains have always had a decided social
- 32:29Speaker 2: advantage over well meaning people who chew with their mouths open.
- 32:34Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with Miss Manners.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:36Speaker 6: I'm also Belladonna is up there now.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Also Belladonna agrees, well done, well done.
- 32:41Speaker 7: I think I heard Mother Superior.
- 32:44Speaker 2: And what do you think? Do you think that's a
- 32:46Speaker 2: weird as show or Miss Manners.
- 32:47Speaker 4: I'm hoping it's a weird Al show.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Yeah, same all right, Russ and Lauren final answer, what
- 32:52Speaker 2: are you sticking with? And that is worth another point?
- 32:56Speaker 2: Well done? Three points to you.
- 33:00Speaker 7: Stevie and Aggie getting stopped on this one.
- 33:04Speaker 2: It is far more impressive when others discover your good
- 33:07Speaker 2: qualities without your help.
- 33:14Speaker 4: I'm gonna say that's weird al.
- 33:16Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, okay, weird.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Ross Lauren in the blue, what do you what do
- 33:22Speaker 2: you guys think? You agree? You think that's weird al Uh,
- 33:26Speaker 2: Stevie and Aggie final answer, sticking with weird Al, no point,
- 33:30Speaker 2: it is mismanners. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, all right, Russ
- 33:38Speaker 2: and Lauren. Now in the red your next quote. Chances
- 33:44Speaker 2: are there is dirt somewhere underneath you right now.
- 33:50Speaker 6: I don't know how that.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Why do something with the like the cleanliness of your house,
- 34:00Speaker 5: you know, and like sweep, you know, like earth?
- 34:03Speaker 7: Technically it's correct, I guess damn.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Oh the weird A Show.
- 34:10Speaker 6: Weird O Show.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Confidently we say, okay, Stevie and.
- 34:15Speaker 4: We knew that.
- 34:16Speaker 7: We confidently follow that?
- 34:18Speaker 2: All right. Finally answer Rus and Laura and sticking to it. Yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 2: it is from the weird Asse Show. Well done. Some
- 34:24Speaker 2: other point, it's another point, uh, Stevie and Augie. Here's
- 34:28Speaker 2: your next quote, and I love this one. How could
- 34:32Speaker 2: anyone sink so low as to do a parody of
- 34:35Speaker 2: another human being?
- 34:40Speaker 5: Mmm mmm.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Mmmm.
- 34:45Speaker 4: This is one of those both ones. Don't choose both
- 34:47Speaker 4: just because.
- 34:48Speaker 2: There's no both. It is one or the other.
- 34:50Speaker 4: And this is so what do you need? I need input?
- 34:53Speaker 7: There's no chance that could be a weird all I
- 34:54Speaker 7: got could going with it?
- 34:58Speaker 4: I think so, yeah, we're gonna go weird.
- 35:00Speaker 2: You're going weird out, probably Russe and Lauren. What do
- 35:02Speaker 2: you think?
- 35:03Speaker 6: I totally see the reasoning behind picking weird because it
- 35:06Speaker 6: could have been something said flippantly, you know, like that,
- 35:08Speaker 6: there's nothing lower you know what I mean? But you
- 35:10Speaker 6: want to just go in the opposite direction for the
- 35:12Speaker 6: heck of it?
- 35:14Speaker 2: Vague returning to being vague and unkind. What do you think?
- 35:22Speaker 2: Final answer?
- 35:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I think weird Ale still is.
- 35:26Speaker 2: You're sticking to weird al. Hmm. That's worth a point.
- 35:31Speaker 2: It is from the weird Al show. Well done, and
- 35:34Speaker 2: it is flippantly said.
- 35:37Speaker 7: I heard it flippantly said in my head. So how
- 35:40Speaker 7: could anyone say solo and then stares at the camera.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Everybody stares at him. Multiple heads come into the camera
- 35:50Speaker 2: view looking at him. Russe and Lauren, here's your final
- 35:55Speaker 2: quote from this list. If we followed every impulse, we'd
- 35:58Speaker 2: be killing each.
- 35:59Speaker 7: Other like the Gandhi said that that's profound.
- 36:08Speaker 5: We're gonna go with miss Manners.
- 36:09Speaker 2: You're going with miss Manners. Stevie and Agi. What do
- 36:11Speaker 2: you think? Yeah, you say miss the Manners. Final answer,
- 36:14Speaker 2: Russel Lauren, it's worth a point. You have five for five. Well,
- 36:19Speaker 2: die and nice.
- 36:21Speaker 6: No authority in that other than I just don't see.
- 36:23Speaker 6: We're now saying kill Yeah, I got a show.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's that's that's fair and that's a good point,
- 36:32Speaker 2: Stevie and a. Your final quote, growing up is the
- 36:37Speaker 2: best revenge.
- 36:40Speaker 4: You know what?
- 36:41Speaker 1: That's Mismanners, be an adult about this.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Grow up? Growing up sucks.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, be petty.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Be petty and bag Russell Lauren, what do you say
- 36:59Speaker 2: is that weird Al or mismanners?
- 37:03Speaker 7: See?
- 37:03Speaker 5: The only place I could see that being in the
- 37:05Speaker 5: Weird Al show is if I have something to do
- 37:07Speaker 5: with some advice he's giving to Bobby the Inquisitive Boy.
- 37:11Speaker 5: But I don't recall it, and I just rewatched this
- 37:14Speaker 5: series like not too long. Yeah, so I'm gonna go
- 37:19Speaker 5: Miss Manners.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Okay, you're going Miss Manners. Uh and uh, Stevie and Augie.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Final answer, final answer. Sticking with the Miss Manners, it
- 37:28Speaker 2: is correct worth a point. So at the end of
- 37:30Speaker 2: our first list it is five points for Russ and
- 37:34Speaker 2: Lauren and three points for Augie and Steve. Very well done.
- 37:36Speaker 2: You guys only missed two or the whole list. Well done?
- 37:39Speaker 2: All right, so here's your next list list number two.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Are these interview quotes from weird al or George R. R. Martin?
- 37:50Speaker 7: Oh dear girl, Oh no?
- 37:53Speaker 2: Are these interview quotes from weird al or George R. R. Martin?
- 37:57Speaker 2: This time Stevie and Augie, we start with you.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I got questioned, yes, this one's the Martin one, because
- 38:04Speaker 1: there's the r token person to which.
- 38:05Speaker 2: One's which, I'm just gonna move on.
- 38:09Speaker 4: I really don't know which one's which.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Well, that's gonna possibly be a problem. Is he's not
- 38:22Speaker 2: the token person?
- 38:23Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, I will use the opportunity to ask you,
- 38:28Speaker 6: a more educated than me person, this question. Is it
- 38:31Speaker 6: Tolken or Tolkien?
- 38:33Speaker 2: I've always said Tolkien. I make sure to get the
- 38:36Speaker 2: ellen there just.
- 38:37Speaker 6: Because yeah, I've just had people like get up about it,
- 38:41Speaker 6: and I thought, since you're far more literary than.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I never talked to anyone who kne him when he
- 38:47Speaker 2: was alive, so I can't tell you.
- 38:49Speaker 7: And the dude ain't around to correct me.
- 38:54Speaker 6: All right, I'm using that from now.
- 38:58Speaker 2: All right? So is it the the the parody impresario
- 39:02Speaker 2: or is it the Game of Thrones author who said this?
- 39:05Speaker 2: Steviean Ay, I'm still a geek on the inside. That's
- 39:08Speaker 2: the important thing.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Tolkien, right or no? Martin Martin, darn it, he's got confused.
- 39:16Speaker 7: The Dick's guy. Yeah, that guy, the novelist, not the
- 39:19Speaker 7: hard guy. So George R. Martin, the guy who was
- 39:24Speaker 7: in The Dick, not the guy who's in defeat.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Lauren and Russ. Deep Purple now blue? What do you
- 39:33Speaker 2: think do you think that was? Oh? Wow, trippy, it's
- 39:40Speaker 2: kind of hot.
- 39:42Speaker 5: What do we think I think it's it's not weird.
- 39:45Speaker 6: I think it's.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Okay, uh fair enough. Final answer, steviean Ay, Yeah, George R. Martin,
- 39:55Speaker 2: no point, that was weird out. Wow, Yeah, that was
- 39:59Speaker 2: weird out.
- 40:00Speaker 5: Dang you call the outside though.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Quote.
- 40:06Speaker 2: I would agree with that. I don't know when these interview.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Quotes were taken because they're they're just listed.
- 40:12Speaker 6: By Oh, you're suggesting that it might have been from
- 40:14Speaker 6: Wedell's super cool period.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Yes, yes, which is all the time, after all, all
- 40:21Speaker 2: depending the last twenty years of my life. Lauren and Russ,
- 40:30Speaker 2: your first quote from this list, we are all the
- 40:33Speaker 2: heroes of our own stories.
- 40:35Speaker 6: That's gotta be.
- 40:38Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 40:38Speaker 6: I feel like, and I don't mean this in a
- 40:39Speaker 6: crappy way, but I feel like Redell doesn't care for
- 40:42Speaker 6: the heroes in our own story.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 5: I'm going to go Martin on that one.
- 40:47Speaker 2: You look like you agree. Yeah, yeah, Okay, Russ and Lauren,
- 40:51Speaker 2: last chance to change your mind.
- 40:53Speaker 5: I will not.
- 40:54Speaker 2: You will not. You stick with George r and Martin
- 40:57Speaker 2: and you are correct. That is another point. Well, don
- 41:00Speaker 2: uh see me and Aggie your next quote, don't write outlines.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I hate outlines.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Why why would he have outlines? Weird hell, he would
- 41:13Speaker 4: just say stuff. He doesn't need outlines. I guess not right, Yeah, Martin,
- 41:18Speaker 4: Martin did a show, right, Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 7: But I think it's I think it's weird.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Okay, we're going weird, al.
- 41:23Speaker 2: You're going with weird ol Russ and Laurence.
- 41:27Speaker 6: I'm going to pick weird all too, because I was like,
- 41:29Speaker 6: why would he care about outlines? But yeah, why don't
- 41:33Speaker 6: we just go now?
- 41:34Speaker 5: Okay, I mean, I will tell you my gut is
- 41:37Speaker 5: saying that that's not weird Al.
- 41:38Speaker 6: No, No, let's go with your gut.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Gut says it's not.
- 41:42Speaker 6: That's makes guts. We're gonna go with your gun.
- 41:45Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, I think.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Russ and Lauren are going with Laurence gut and Lawrence gut,
- 41:51Speaker 2: says George R. Martin. But it is ultimately up to
- 41:53Speaker 2: you to final answer.
- 41:54Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's weird.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You're saying weird Al should have listened to Lawrence Gut.
- 41:58Speaker 2: That's no point it is j R. Martin. Absolutely.
- 42:01Speaker 5: I know beard Al is so meticulously organized with things.
- 42:04Speaker 5: He has binders and folders full of unused lyrics to things.
- 42:08Speaker 5: He that motherfucker outlines.
- 42:12Speaker 6: He's outlines and sentence anyone's ever said about Weirdo, like
- 42:17Speaker 6: ever Yankovic.
- 42:19Speaker 4: I gotta hold it into my show. I can let
- 42:21Speaker 4: it out on there.
- 42:22Speaker 7: She's got headings, outlines.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Sorry, Russe and Lauren, here's your welcome to the beard
- 42:30Speaker 2: Al motherfucking Russe and Lauren. Here's your next quote, and
- 42:36Speaker 2: bear with me. It's kind of a long one. When
- 42:39Speaker 2: the writing is going really well, whole days and weeks
- 42:42Speaker 2: go by and I suddenly realized I have all these
- 42:44Speaker 2: unpaid bills, and my god, I haven't unpacked and the
- 42:46Speaker 2: suitcase has been sitting there for three weeks.
- 42:53Speaker 6: Just from coming off tour.
- 42:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I would, I'm good. Yeah, that makes sense. I
- 42:57Speaker 5: mean Martin going.
- 42:59Speaker 6: Book tour as well. Also he has to go to
- 43:02Speaker 6: so they can pay and whatnot.
- 43:03Speaker 2: But you're sticking with weird Al. Okay, Stevie and Augie,
- 43:12Speaker 2: what do you think.
- 43:14Speaker 7: Did Marton even finish his books?
- 43:16Speaker 4: I don't know, probably not.
- 43:17Speaker 7: I don't think he has.
- 43:18Speaker 4: I think he's got another.
- 43:21Speaker 7: Uh, Devil's advocate might be Martin.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Though, Okay, okay, you're going Devil's advocate.
- 43:27Speaker 7: It sounds like some bullshit, the excuse you'd make to
- 43:29Speaker 7: a journalist to make you solids fair enough.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Russ and Lauren final answer.
- 43:35Speaker 5: We're sticking with weird al.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, yeah, okay.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Uh.
- 43:38Speaker 2: For the first time in this game, no point to
- 43:40Speaker 2: Russ and Lauren. That is a George R. And Martin quote.
- 43:43Speaker 4: This is where it turns around, folks, all.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Right, we'll see Stevie and Augie. This is your chance
- 43:47Speaker 2: to gain some ground. Turns to what here's your next quote?
- 43:52Speaker 2: I know now that everything I write I'm going to
- 43:54Speaker 2: put out and I'll have to live with it for
- 43:56Speaker 2: the rest of my life.
- 43:59Speaker 1: That's gotta be Mark that has Yeah, yeah.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough, Russell Lawrence, what do you think anything
- 44:08Speaker 2: I make?
- 44:10Speaker 6: Okay? The only reason why I say that is because
- 44:12Speaker 6: of the lesson he learned with what's the song? They had?
- 44:16Speaker 6: The lyrics that he was every time we did the song.
- 44:20Speaker 6: He was explaining on the Self Advice tour that he
- 44:23Speaker 6: was upset over the I don't want to say insulting words,
- 44:28Speaker 6: the hermaphrodite, the song where he says hermaphrodite, and he
- 44:31Speaker 6: was like explaining how he Albuquerque, Yes, yeah, I couldn't
- 44:35Speaker 6: come up with the name of no. I just feel
- 44:38Speaker 6: like he might have been like, m That's where I
- 44:40Speaker 6: gotta remember that I'm gonnave. That's my thought, But you
- 44:44Speaker 6: do you know I don't think it. I think Lawrence
- 44:45Speaker 6: Gut says I'm wrong.
- 44:47Speaker 2: I think Lawrence Gut says it's Martin, Steve and O.
- 44:50Speaker 2: The last chance you're sticking with Martin, you've blown your
- 44:56Speaker 2: chance to gain some ground. That was weird al wow,
- 44:59Speaker 2: And I think it was in relation to what Russ
- 45:01Speaker 2: was talking about.
- 45:02Speaker 5: How fine.
- 45:05Speaker 6: I think it's just the quote to quote the movie
- 45:08Speaker 6: High Fidelity. I've come to the conclusion that your guts
- 45:10Speaker 6: have ship for brains. Damn.
- 45:15Speaker 5: You know, I just know he writes so much that
- 45:17Speaker 5: he doesn't put out there, so it's like he doesn't
- 45:18Speaker 5: have to live with everything he's written being up less.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Anyway, I'm gonna say, Lauren's gut has gotten you to
- 45:23Speaker 2: six points, so I would maybe give it a pass.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Maybe it.
- 45:31Speaker 6: All right?
- 45:32Speaker 2: Dear, oh dear, Let's move on. So here is your
- 45:34Speaker 2: next quote, Russ and Lauren. There has to be a
- 45:37Speaker 2: level of joy of what you're doing.
- 45:43Speaker 6: It'ld be Martin, because it seems obvious that would be.
- 45:46Speaker 5: Now that's fair.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Mmmm, gaming the game. We'll see Steven Augie. What do
- 45:53Speaker 2: you guys think?
- 45:55Speaker 4: Ye, I'll say, well, all right, Russ.
- 46:00Speaker 2: And Lauren final answer.
- 46:03Speaker 5: I think now I'm just gonna stick with George R. R.
- 46:05Speaker 5: Martin simply because he hasn't finished writing things, probably because
- 46:09Speaker 5: he doesn't have joy at it anymore.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Okay, okay, thanks fair So George R. Martin, it is
- 46:15Speaker 2: and it's right for another point, well.
- 46:17Speaker 4: Done, switch and it wouldn't switch it was.
- 46:21Speaker 2: It was an effective I genuinely for a second thought,
- 46:24Speaker 2: do I have this wrong? You're like, we're so sure.
- 46:29Speaker 4: It would have worked?
- 46:29Speaker 2: All right, Steve, and you need this okay, or you
- 46:33Speaker 2: need to do much better at the double round floor.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Here is your next quote. Writing is hard. I mean
- 46:40Speaker 2: I sit there and work at it. I don't know
- 46:48Speaker 2: which one of these men said.
- 46:50Speaker 7: That, Martin.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Sure, we'll go with Martin. I I really have no
- 46:57Speaker 1: idea who would have said that? I can understand.
- 47:00Speaker 7: Come on, no, probably now all right, concept get that
- 47:03Speaker 7: last book.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Out, Martin. It is Russ and Lauren.
- 47:07Speaker 6: Let's say you the only reason because I know less
- 47:11Speaker 6: than anything about anything George R. Martin's ever said. I
- 47:15Speaker 6: would because of what you said about him taking so
- 47:18Speaker 6: long to put out books and he hasn't finished stuff
- 47:20Speaker 6: and whatever else. That seems to me like a person
- 47:22Speaker 6: because where that's nothing short of prolific. The dude put
- 47:24Speaker 6: out fifteen records.
- 47:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 47:27Speaker 6: That's my thinking. You like that could all be I'm
- 47:31Speaker 6: sorry to use this language. On your show. But hogwash.
- 47:33Speaker 4: Oh no, wow, dude, wow, we got rid of those
- 47:37Speaker 4: old ways.
- 47:38Speaker 7: You gotta write that down. I gotta added that out.
- 47:41Speaker 2: There are hogs in my family. My mother, my mother
- 47:48Speaker 2: was I'm half on myself.
- 47:53Speaker 7: I come from a long line of wild Sir.
- 47:59Speaker 2: I've forgotten where we are. We are This is Stevie
- 48:02Speaker 2: and Hoggy's final answer.
- 48:04Speaker 7: Uh the wild boars.
- 48:07Speaker 4: We went with Martin Martin.
- 48:08Speaker 2: You went with Martin, good choice, That is correct. That
- 48:11Speaker 2: is George R. Martin, uh Russ and Lauren your next quote. Boy,
- 48:17Speaker 2: there are days where I get up and say, where
- 48:19Speaker 2: the hell did my talent go? Look at this crap
- 48:21Speaker 2: that I'm producing here. This is terrible.
- 48:29Speaker 6: I mean, like the al Apocalypse album does exist, that
- 48:39Speaker 6: record is okay.
- 48:43Speaker 5: And I don't know, I feel like maybe I'm being
- 48:46Speaker 5: a little bit uh uh swayed by the way Aaron said,
- 48:49Speaker 5: boy like.
- 48:51Speaker 6: Oh, like he was reading it in the style of.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yah going okay, I'm going we're now Stevie and O
- 49:00Speaker 2: you what's say you jokes on you?
- 49:01Speaker 7: I know that's but Martin sounds.
- 49:06Speaker 2: You heard him once, you guys, You guys are saying
- 49:12Speaker 2: that's actually Georgia R.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Martin.
- 49:13Speaker 2: All Right, Rust and Lauren, Last chance to change your mind.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Final answer, Please weird Aw you're sticking to weird al
- 49:21Speaker 2: uh and that is wrong. It's Georgia R and Martin.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I'm afraid. Oh well you're ahead anyway, so this might
- 49:29Speaker 2: give a chance to slightly balance the game out Steven, Augie,
- 49:32Speaker 2: this is your final quote from this list. Okay, I mean,
- 49:35Speaker 2: I hate to gloat, but I'm extremely satisfied with my
- 49:38Speaker 2: position in life and the way things have worked out
- 49:40Speaker 2: for me.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Weirdo, Yeah, I can see him, Yeah, I can see that.
- 49:47Speaker 6: Okay, Like, what if it's just true about one person? Right?
- 49:50Speaker 11: We just know they both say it, but only what
- 49:53Speaker 11: actually means it.
- 49:59Speaker 6: And ar It's like I have hooked both of these
- 50:02Speaker 6: people up to a polygraph.
- 50:05Speaker 2: One of them, Steve, and think that that is weird.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Al Russe and Lauren agreed. Disagree, Yeah, I know it's weird.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Heard him say, oh all right, Oh that's that's pretty
- 50:18Speaker 2: strong endorsement. Agree, Look, you and Augie, Final chance to
- 50:23Speaker 2: change your mind. Final answer, Please, we're weird ow It
- 50:27Speaker 2: is weird, how of course, and he should be he
- 50:31Speaker 2: should be, damn it? All right, h The final quote
- 50:35Speaker 2: from this list, Russe and Lauren, I have an instinctual
- 50:38Speaker 2: distrust of conventional happy endings.
- 50:43Speaker 4: What's conventional?
- 50:45Speaker 7: That's unconventional.
- 50:48Speaker 6: The show, I know, while we're about to deliberate, and
- 50:53Speaker 6: I know I do this all the time in the show,
- 50:55Speaker 6: But like I would like to stop off in price
- 50:57Speaker 6: Aaron again because these quotes could, like every one of
- 51:00Speaker 6: them is a holy craft. One of the others could
- 51:04Speaker 6: truly be.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I genuinely tried very hard.
- 51:08Speaker 6: Dude, you I know I say this all the time.
- 51:10Speaker 6: Your sodamn that I sound like I'm stelling it him
- 51:13Speaker 6: not what what do you think?
- 51:16Speaker 5: Oh, that's tough. That's tough because it could very well
- 51:20Speaker 5: be true about the Just.
- 51:21Speaker 6: Go with Martin for the hell of it.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Sure, Martin, Martin, him and his happy endings, Stevie and Aggy.
- 51:31Speaker 6: You know, if you go to certain parts of Las Vegas.
- 51:34Speaker 13: I'll agree, And I also agree you agree with both statements, Steve,
- 51:41Speaker 13: and also think it's our George R.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Martin Uh Russe and Lauren final answer, Please stick with Martin.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Good choice. It is correct. That is George R.
- 51:51Speaker 6: Martin.
- 51:52Speaker 2: And as we finish our second list, Russe and Lauren
- 51:55Speaker 2: have eight points. Steve and Augie have five. It is
- 51:58Speaker 2: as always going to come down to our final list
- 52:00Speaker 2: to decide it, and for every entry on this list
- 52:03Speaker 2: it is worth double points. Remember, but now now the
- 52:07Speaker 2: list is musical acts weird Al has parodied or polkad
- 52:13Speaker 2: according to weird al dot com, or musical acts with
- 52:18Speaker 2: three or more Grammy wins or both.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Nice, Oh my goodness, So musical acts that weird Al
- 52:28Speaker 3: has parodied or polkad according to weird al dot com,
- 52:32Speaker 3: musical acts with three or more Grammy wins or both.
- 52:37Speaker 6: I hope I'm not going to spoil anything, so I'm
- 52:39Speaker 6: gonna try and do an obvious one in the hopes
- 52:43Speaker 6: of making sure I understand this correct. So if you
- 52:47Speaker 6: were to say Michael Jackson, we would all say both
- 52:49Speaker 6: because he has like a million Grammys and Weirdel's parodied him.
- 52:53Speaker 6: But if you were to say Jermaine Jackson, I know
- 52:59Speaker 6: that that's funny, but like Jermaine doesn't have any wards
- 53:02Speaker 6: because he's one of his songs. Like if I understanding
- 53:07Speaker 6: that right, and that would be just weird al and
- 53:08Speaker 6: not also won anything.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I cannot say if Jermaine Jackson is on either list
- 53:15Speaker 2: because I didn't look for him on weirdel dot com.
- 53:17Speaker 2: But if you're but if you're right, then he is there.
- 53:20Speaker 2: Then yes. If he hasn't won any Grammys, you just
- 53:23Speaker 2: say weird al well if he's if he's won two
- 53:25Speaker 2: or fewer Grammys, you say weirdl. If he's won three
- 53:30Speaker 2: or more and he has been parodied by Weirdel, you
- 53:32Speaker 2: have to say both, okay, okay, otherwise you get it wrong.
- 53:36Speaker 2: So but again, every every entry is worth two points.
- 53:41Speaker 6: No one's ever looking for Jermaine Jackson, not anymore cold blooded.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Somewhere Jermaine Jackson is listening to I Love b F
- 53:51Speaker 2: y tw W.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I can't wait to listen, Jermaine, I still love you man,
- 53:56Speaker 1: our number one fan behind vaccine.
- 53:59Speaker 6: With your your Maine Jackson endorsement.
- 54:03Speaker 2: We were so close.
- 54:04Speaker 13: Working for months the Russ and Lauren.
- 54:08Speaker 2: You go first this time. Here is your first musical act,
- 54:13Speaker 2: Billy Idol.
- 54:17Speaker 6: Dang. Yeah, but I don't think he's ever Grammys. Okay,
- 54:22Speaker 6: So I mean like he's had massive hits, but I
- 54:26Speaker 6: don't I don't remember if he ever did. It was okay,
- 54:31Speaker 6: we think.
- 54:31Speaker 2: We'd just Weirdol, Stevie and Augie what do you think.
- 54:36Speaker 4: I'm not sure I know who he is. Oh good,
- 54:39Speaker 4: so that's a good start.
- 54:41Speaker 6: Wait is there a fourth column for Stevo?
- 54:43Speaker 2: Is?
- 54:45Speaker 4: It wasn't like that Martin guy. So I was like,
- 54:47Speaker 4: at least I know.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Who this is, so parody three or more Grammys, three
- 54:53Speaker 1: or more Grammys or both or both?
- 54:57Speaker 7: I think it's just three or more Grammys.
- 54:58Speaker 4: But no, it's just weird. Hell oh.
- 55:02Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, Sorry, Sorry I got confused. I got myself
- 55:04Speaker 7: accused here.
- 55:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I was gonna say you missed the part whe
- 55:07Speaker 2: Russell Lauren said, well, we know he's been parodied, so
- 55:10Speaker 2: that kind of nixes the whole Grammy only thing, assuming
- 55:14Speaker 2: they're correct, but I would put my faith in them.
- 55:16Speaker 7: I will say both.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Okay, you think both Russell Lauren final answer for two points.
- 55:23Speaker 5: Yeah, We're gonna stick right out. Despite all he's clear,
- 55:26Speaker 5: like conviction in his thoughts.
- 55:28Speaker 7: Yeah, in confusion, he is conviction in my confusion.
- 55:31Speaker 2: He's very quickly convicted, convicted, guilty of it is just weird.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Now that's two points, very good, well done. Yeah, he
- 55:42Speaker 2: I believe has been nominated twice but never won. I'm
- 55:45Speaker 2: not mistaken. Okay, on to the next one. This one's
- 55:48Speaker 2: for Stevie and Augie Madonna.
- 55:53Speaker 9: I mean, that's gotta be both.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Right, She's won three Grammys, right, she had duels, She's
- 55:59Speaker 1: been around for like nine years.
- 56:02Speaker 4: She won't fucking die.
- 56:05Speaker 7: She keeps coming back.
- 56:06Speaker 4: She's a fucking zombie.
- 56:08Speaker 6: You don't know, but I feel like that number is off.
- 56:11Speaker 6: I don't think.
- 56:14Speaker 4: I don't know, man.
- 56:17Speaker 7: I think he's just getting your confused for Lady Gaga.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Guys don't need an answer.
- 56:23Speaker 7: It's both, yeah, probably both.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Okay, so you're sticking to both Rust and Lauren your opinion.
- 56:29Speaker 5: I think it's got Yeah, it's got to be both too,
- 56:32Speaker 5: you know why not?
- 56:33Speaker 2: Okay, Well they agree, so Steve and Augie final answer answer,
- 56:38Speaker 2: you're sticking to both. That's two points. Well, yeah, I
- 56:43Speaker 2: think she has nine though she's got a lot.
- 56:47Speaker 4: Yeah, not one for every decade?
- 56:49Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, damn, just keep roasting Donna. Boy, I can't
- 57:02Speaker 2: wait to listen.
- 57:03Speaker 5: To be to the show.
- 57:11Speaker 7: Anyone else in Hollywood? Do you want to just all.
- 57:14Speaker 1: He's the only one hasn't offended anybody yet, Wait till
- 57:17Speaker 1: the next one.
- 57:19Speaker 7: No, No, I've already ruined my chances with Sorry.
- 57:21Speaker 2: About that. We gotta keep going. I'm never gonna get
- 57:24Speaker 2: through this. Russ and Lauren. Your next musical act jay Z.
- 57:32Speaker 5: Just Grammys.
- 57:34Speaker 12: Mm hmm.
- 57:37Speaker 6: Hold on one second. I know, I know you're trying
- 57:39Speaker 6: to move along.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Hold on, Lauren has some conviction. You can take some time.
- 57:42Speaker 2: I don't mind. I'm just worried about us.
- 57:45Speaker 7: Scoop it.
- 57:46Speaker 6: I'm gonna I'm gonna side with you.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Just Grammy, says, Russe and Lauren, Steve and Ague. What
- 57:52Speaker 2: do you think?
- 57:53Speaker 4: Okay? That's us right, any of them? But sure you agree?
- 57:59Speaker 7: I yeah, and I don't really remember any.
- 58:03Speaker 4: Yeah, well we agree, Yeah you agree?
- 58:05Speaker 2: Okay, so they agree with you, Russ and Lauren. What
- 58:07Speaker 2: do you think? Final answer? Yeah, final answer is just Grammys.
- 58:14Speaker 2: That's two more points for us.
- 58:15Speaker 7: And absolutely it doesn't seem like no.
- 58:21Speaker 6: You know, he's never done a jay Z parody, but.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because he could have been one of the later.
- 58:28Speaker 7: Post I was thinking he did he like do like
- 58:30Speaker 7: a lyric or two in a Poka.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Something, but no easy is not listed as one of
- 58:34Speaker 2: the acts he has parodied. So well done. There's another
- 58:37Speaker 2: two points to Russe and Lauren. Uh, you guys better
- 58:40Speaker 2: hope they start getting them wrong. Uh, I'm doing all
- 58:43Speaker 2: I can do over you are you are appreciated, but
- 58:46Speaker 2: keep working, keep working, good luck. Here is your next
- 58:49Speaker 2: musical act. Stevian Augie, Cindy Lauper.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Do Cimby Lauper have three or more? Because I know
- 58:57Speaker 1: that there's already a song.
- 58:59Speaker 7: Well me as that question with another question. Who is Cinny.
- 59:02Speaker 4: Lapper or loved her? Or hey just wanted to have
- 59:06Speaker 4: fun with her?
- 59:08Speaker 2: She's on her farewell to her now?
- 59:09Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 59:10Speaker 7: I know goodbye Indeed. As much as I'd love to.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Say both, I don't think she has three or more
- 59:16Speaker 1: Grammy So I'm gonna say just a weird al.
- 59:19Speaker 4: Okay, do you think she has three more Grammys? You
- 59:20Speaker 4: don't know she is.
- 59:22Speaker 7: I think she has three or more cats?
- 59:24Speaker 1: I mean no, oh lucky, I wish I had three
- 59:27Speaker 1: or more cats. I'm gonna go with just weird al
- 59:29Speaker 1: because I don't think she had.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Three or more. Okay, I really Stevie effectively on his
- 59:34Speaker 2: own I'm sorry, said I think SETI thinks it's just
- 59:37Speaker 2: weird al Russ and Lauren, what say you?
- 59:41Speaker 6: I want to say both, just because I feel like
- 59:43Speaker 6: she would have picked up at least three between the
- 59:46Speaker 6: first two records, like True Colors is like, yeah, adult
- 59:49Speaker 6: contemporary schlock that they would have eaten up after time. Well, yeah,
- 59:53Speaker 6: that's not the first one.
- 59:53Speaker 5: But no, I know, yeah, I think both.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Okay, we think Russe and Lauren on both. Stevie has
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: this suaye you at all? This is your last chance
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: to change your mind. What's your final answer?
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: What do you think? Say? Should I go?
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: Because I'm the expert, I think you're just gonna stay.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: I think it's gonna be two. Watch it be two
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: or some ship.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: You're sticking with? Just weird? Al that's two more points
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: for you. Well done? Yes, I believe she only has two,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: but only two requirement. So let's move on to our
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: next item on this list, Russ and Lauren, here's your
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: musical act Simon and Garfunkle.
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: Right, can't Yeah, I think only Grammys.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: You think only Grammys?
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: Stevie, you know, yeah, it's only Grammys.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Okay, that was a quick agreement. I don't know how
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: much I buy into it. Russ and Lauren final answer.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: I can't think of anything you're gonna watch, And I'm like,
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: I feel like, be really upset about it, but yeah,
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: I think only Grammys, you.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Think only Grammys? Okay, well sadly for Stevie and Augy,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: that's another two points to you. Well done, sadly. Yeah,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: he's never done Simon garfocal song, never put it in
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: a polka. So well done. Uh, Stevie and Augie, it's
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: back to you again. You need these cold Play.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: This cold placing.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Uh you know cold Play, weird l three or more
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Grammys or both.
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: I'm pretty sure there's at least one in the in
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: a poka you think so?
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: Yeah, so probably both in cold place.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: We're gonna deter refer whatever that word is to tell
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: them to go, and then you have.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: To give an answer. First, we just weirdo, okay. Russe
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: and Lauren both the red A. Both Russe and Lauren
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: very quickly say both. It's why it's it's final answer.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I don't know if they do Grammy's Good?
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: What do you do?
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: You want to do?
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Both are just weirdo? We just we're okay, he says,
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: just weird.
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: I think they're short one fair enough back to the
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: one day.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: Look at the gold Man. They did Grammy's Good.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: So just so I you are saying just weird hel Okay,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: no points for you. It was both Russe and Lauren
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: had it exactly right. Listen, all right, we go back
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: to Russe and Lauren for this next musical act, the
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Black Eyed Peas.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: There's so many of them, I know.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: For sure, for sure.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: And here's the thing. I'm just gonna say this.
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: You don't like the food or the group.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: That's true. If the Black Eyed Peas have won three
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: or more Grammys.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: It would have been separate.
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: I weep for us. No, that's just I don't like it,
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: but didn't. But the Black Eyed Peas come on.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: First of all, Cidney Lauper was in a far more
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: competitive era.
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: Black Eyed Pea had kids.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Also, it's not nearly as savage a roast as Madonna
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: being ninety years old.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: So yeah, facts. I mean, I wasn't religiously watching the
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: Grammys then, but I don't remember them like sweeping or anything.
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: They probably got like one, I think they got. They
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: definitely got stuff separate, but I don't think as a group.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: There are kids. But you're going with weirdel Okay, very good,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Steve and Agi, what do you think? Yeah, yeah, just
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: weird as well? All right, Well, rest and Lauren final
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: answer time. Yeah, just weird l and that is no points.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: It is both Sorry. They do have three or more Grammys.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I don't have the exact number, but I can't imagine
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: it's too much higher. Probably and you know, maybe the
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: Grammys have gone to the dogs. We'll see Steve and
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: your next musical act Adele Adele as in Dude, you're getting.
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: Sweet, Dude, you're getting Adele. Yeah, I prefer Gateway.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: No, I am referring to Adele the Yes.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I have no fucking idea what she sings. So she's
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: got Grammys.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: We'll go with that for now.
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: Grammys.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going with Grammy. Yeah, Russell Lauren, what do
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: you say?
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: We're not in agreement?
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: So well, no, we are you.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Well yeah, okay, but don't quote to.
- 1:05:20Speaker 6: Quote, as we used to say in Detroit, both both.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: B O F both Russell Lauren say both both Stevie
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: and what do you say to that?
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: So far? I still think it's just Grammy.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: I don't so it could be a newer song.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Could We're gonna stick.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: Poka just notice? But yeah, I think it's just Grammy.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Just Grammy's all right, stick to your guns despite Wrestling,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Lauren saying both and it gets you two points. Well done.
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: In the newest swear Poka is it that he just released?
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: I was going to that's what, because that's what I.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Was if that is the case, and weird Al has
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: not updated his site since then, because I searched for
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: her and she did not come up on that page.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Oh shit, you.
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Don't put anywhere into it.
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: She'll look at my old time check.
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: Still Hello is in Polkamania the new.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: Polka Polka Media.
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: Oh okay, that.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: Just came out. It's got bad Guy by Billie Eilish,
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: Hello by Adele.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: And other things twenty twenty four. Oh, it just came
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: out like like a few months ago. But it has
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: been months and weird All has not updated his website
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: with this information.
- 1:06:34Speaker 7: I mean, technically we're one, right.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: So I will say this list was literally it was
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: literally just according to what is on weird Al's website,
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: and she is not listed there. So you know what,
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: if if this had been yours, Russell, Lauren, I would
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: give you the point. But since it was theirs and
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: they were correct, I will go ahead and give them
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: point anyway.
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: So honestly, that's that's the fairest way. You can play
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: that as a post and I'm like, I want.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I want this to be completely fair and absolutely I
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: didn't know, but I didn't know that weird Hell's own
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: site was. I had a feeling it was both.
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: Clear. I am going to contact the Podcast Gaming Commission.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Got regulation man, Uh, you know what to be to
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: be honest, that's fair. I will have deserved it at
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: that point.
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: Union.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: So it is. It is now Russ and Laurence Tern
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: Russ and Lauren, Uh, your last musical act on this list,
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Dolly Parton.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: I would have given so much money for you to say, Jermaine.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Jackson, both would be amazing.
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: Yeah, just.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Grammy says Russe and Laurence. Steve and you are nodding rapidly.
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: Yeah, but I got a great boob junk, I said,
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: And to Big Mammies.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Final answer Russ and Laura and yeah, just Grammys is
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: worth two points. Well done and Steve, me and Augie
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: your final one Jermaine Jackson kidding, I'm kidding him, kidding.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Match Box twenty.
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: Oh ship maybe a poka.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: Give an answer.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Both, August says, both, though I don't know how educated
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: he is on the subject and Laura educated.
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: No, it's both.
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: It's both.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Oh they both.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: Say, what the heck they be on im?
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: It's gotta be like the new Mandatory Fund.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: Maybe I think it's just Grammys. This is Grammys. You
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: think do you think it's both?
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: We can change it to Grammys.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: You think it's both both? Fuck it?
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: Hell Mary, Grammy.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: It's a hell of a hail Mary, because it's about
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: as wrong as you get. Yeah, it is just weird.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Al oh really yeah, Matchbox twenty does not have three
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: or more Grammys.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: I mean they don't deserve them anyway.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: But anyway, at.
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: Least at least Push is in a It's.
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: In the Poka Power Polka from nineteen ninety nine.
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: It was in a Pokemon.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: The encyclopedic knowledge of this one. You see why I
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: was like why I was so determined a challenging game
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: for them?
- 1:09:30Speaker 12: Uh?
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Anyway, Uh, congratulations Russel Lauren. They have won that game
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: with sixteen points to eleven.
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: Nice, Okay, sod was gonna be no.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: You you guys kept up.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: You guys kept up really a plus.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: You just never really gained ground after that first list.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: But but you but you hung tight for sure. Uh
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: and Russell Lauren take an additional two episode points. They
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: are up three to zero, but Stevie and Oggie can
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: take it back. Our next game is worth three episode points,
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: so they can tie it up or Russell Lauren can
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: have a cl sweep. We're gonna find out which when
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: we come back right after this.

- 1:10:42Speaker 14: viral social media post, and so much more.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game three. Uh,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: we're going to play the cost is correct? I have
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: five recently, so much like legally welcome Welcome back to
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: legally distinct. The cost is correct, I'm your host, Robert Woofer,
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: and uh, I have down done all right? Have your
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: pets paid and cutered? Okay, so I've got five items here,
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: uh summer auctions. One is actually currently for sale and
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna need sale price on that. But uh, basically,
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: all I need our teams to do is the individual
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: player who gives me the closest bid to the actual
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: final auction price or the sale price of the item
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: as it were, will win that listing, and the first
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: team to win three listings wins the game and gets
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: three points. Now, traditionally, when it's just the two of you,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: we do final bid style where you keep going over
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: and over. However, because there's a full set of four
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: of you, we are doing it the traditional way, one
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: bid only.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Oh shoot, okay, so you better think about this.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Steve and AUGI lost the last game. So you have
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: the choice. Do you want your team to start the
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: bidding or do you want Lauren and Russ to.
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Start the bidding. Let's let our guests start.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Okay, So you're going to be staggered so that you
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: can't bid one after the other, so it will be
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Lauren then Stevie, then Russ, then Augie, and we will
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: cycle through as we play. So, Lauren, you are going
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: to be first to bid on this item. Our first
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: item I forbids today is this incredible concert package two
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: tickets and a VIP package with meat and greet to
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: weird Al Yankovic's twenty twenty five summer tour. And this
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: auction benefits the Homes for Our Troops charity. And this
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: listing can be yours if the cost is correct. Can
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: you get as close as possible to the final auction
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: price of this package? Lauren, you start us off.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Hold on, I'm trying to think about what I spent.
- 1:13:09Speaker 5: You think I'm joking that I'm not, Oh boy, four
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: hundred and fifty dollars.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Four hundred and fifty over to Stevie.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it's more than that, because the viapls
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: are packaged stuff.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: I'm gonna say it's gonna be close to like six
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: hundred and.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Ninety, okay, six hundred and ninety Russ.
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: Because of the charity involved, I'm gonna go way high.
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: I'm going to add a grand to Lawrence. I'm gonna
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: say fourteenth.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Fifty fourteen fifty. Augie, I'm gonna.
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: Go a little bit higher, just goes out. I imagine
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: it'd probably be a pretty good one. I'm just gonna
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: go even two thousand.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Two thousand, okkayo. So basically in order, it just kept
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: going higher. Lauren bid four fifty, Stevie bid six ninety,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Russ bid fourteen fifty, and Augie bid two thousand. The
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: actual final auction price of this incredible concert package is
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: seventeen hundred dollars. Russ's the listing.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Very damn.
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: I went over by three hundred.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. When you said you were gonna go a
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: little bit over, I was like, ooh, there's room there.
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: A little too far.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Up, went a little too far. It's okay. Our first
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: listing goes to Russ and Lauren Nice. They have an edge. Guys,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: you need these. Here is the next item of forbids.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Our next item is this rare book, this copy of
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Comedy Bang Bang the podcast. Oh somebody DMed me, covered up,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: the covered up the damn. Oh now it's happening. Gosh,
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: now it's happening NonStop. People leave me alone. This copany

- 1:14:56Speaker 2: signed by twenty one cast members, including weird Al Yankovic,
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: and this listing goes to the one of you who
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: bids closest to the final auction price without going over.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: Stevie start us off, shoots me. We'll start at four

- 1:15:51Speaker 2: bid two thousand. The actual final auction price of this book,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: with twenty one signatures including weird Al Yankovics eight hundred
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: dollars wins the listing.
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: Yeah, well once again to to this time. Next one
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: will be one and then I'll get it right on
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: the dot.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Got this, you got.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: This all right? All right, So we're ready for our
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: third item. It's even stevens so far. This time we're

- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Whether it was nice, oggie.
- 1:16:58Speaker 7: Shit, dude, I'll do twelve hundred.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: Twelve hundred says Augie, Lauren.
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: Thirty four seventy five.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: Thirty four seventy five says Lauren.
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: Stevie Is it a science? Correct?
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: No?
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Not sid What was Russell's bid?
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Russ's bid was twenty eight to fifty twenty nine hundred,
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: twenty nine hundred and the clause come out real it matter.

- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Lauren bid thirty four to seventy five, and Stevie bid
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: twenty nine hundred. The actual final auction price of this
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: incredible vinyl collection is twenty five one hundred dollars. Augie
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: wins that listing.
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: I knew you knew it would be around here.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Ross was really close. He was just just a
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: little too high. Uh, it's all good, man, it's all good.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Priceless.
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: This is greaty.
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: Yeah, it's all priceless.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: All of its price.
- 1:17:59Speaker 7: Most of it went to you already, I believe.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how it works, lucky bitch.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Oh she got that extra ticket sticket.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: So uh, Stem and agu you just need one more
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: to win this game and tie it up.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Uh, and Aggie, you will be starting the bids this time.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: Oh boy. Our next item is this rare signed costume.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: This is an actual costume warned by Weird Al during
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: filming of the Dare to Be Stupid music video. This
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: yellow vinyl jumpsuit features the atomic symbol patch on his
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: left or right shoulder and as well as the weird
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: Al's signature in black marker. And this listing goes to
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: the one of you who bits closest to the actual
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: final auction price without going over.
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: Augie start us off one thirty.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: One and thirty so a thirty dollars up from his
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: previous bid. Lauren, oh shit, it is eight hundred dollars
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: eight hundred dollars. Lauren comes down, Stevie.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I don't know if I should go lower, if I
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: should go way higher. And this is scary.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Suit signed, I'm gonna say two hundred and fifty bucks.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Two hundred and fifty bucks. Remember weird All actually wore this,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: so it's probably got his DNA inside it, so you
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: could make your own.
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: Weird l.
- 1:19:22Speaker 7: Russ got a mustard stain at.
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: Of him to be that guy. And I've always wanted
- 1:19:28Speaker 6: to do this because we watched so much. Prices right
- 1:19:30Speaker 6: twelve thirty.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: One, twelve thirty one until you do it, So our
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: bids once again. Augie twelve thirty Russ Lauren eight hundred
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: Stevie two fifty Russ twelve thirty one. Why is that
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: the right move?
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: Smart?
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: The actual final auction price of this costume twenty eight
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: hundred and fifty eight dollars. Of course it was the
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: right move. Ye damn absolutely takes that one. It is
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: even Stephen all tied up as we go out to
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: our final item.
- 1:20:03Speaker 7: Up forbids, all the more wounding.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: This final item up for bids is this sound waves artwork.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: This artwork was generated using sound waves from Amish Paradise
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: and features weird Al's signature and the title of the
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: song in his handwriting. All profits go to Sweet Relief
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: Musicians Fund and grants to help struggling musicians to pay
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: their bills. And this listing can be yours if the
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: cost is correct. Now, this is not an auction, this
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: is a sale item. So someone put a price on this,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: and we're gonna start with Lauren this time. Fuck oh boy,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: five dollars, five hundred dollars, says Lauren. Stevie, it's gonna
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: be higher.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: I'm gonna start. I started nine hundred. That's a good.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: Nine hundred, says Stevie. Russ thanks fitty, six hundred and
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: fifty dollars says Russ. And Augie.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: Do it to him.
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: For twenty four to twenty, says Nice.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: So our bids are Lauren bid five hundred, Stevie bid
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: nine hundred, Russ bid six fifty, and Augie bid four
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: to twenty. The actual sale price of this artwork with
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: weird Al's signature on it to benefit charity four thousand dollars.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Stevie wins the listings.
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: We lowall the hell out of that.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: Which means Stevie and Augie have won this game and
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: win three episodes. Shoot, shoot, we can't back.
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: Dancing.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: How the fuck?
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: I don't even take the proverbial hat.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. We have a draw.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: Everybody wins. Hell yeah, everybody also love this. I guess
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: it depends on how you look. Well this has.
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: Been I break your question real quick.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: I don't have anything.
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: Look at the time, I gotta go.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: I spent two hours yesterday compiling all this ship. Y'all
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: didn't care. I'm not doing anymore. I'm not doing any
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: more work. I'm done. I'm done. We're living with this.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: We are living with this result.
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: Weird out with five eleven and a half answer.
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: I will say mentioned something real quick. So every time
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: I've ever been on your show, when we get asked
- 1:22:45Speaker 6: what charity we play for, it was talked about a
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: charity called music Musicians who don't have that and Sweet
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: Relief was the original. There's actually an album from the
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: nineties called Sweet Relief that was founded for Victoria Williams
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: and Pearl Jam and Soul Asylment bands are on there.
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: Nice it's a really good album that people should listen to.
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: But also, like we should take care of our artists.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, absolutely, Yeah, that's so awesome, absolutely.
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: One hundred percent A thousand for joint that weird now
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: contributed something that made four thousand dollars for that. That's
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: yeah awesome. Yeah, it's incredible, better than my eleven dollars
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: that I contribute to music cares every year.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and that that item was sold, by the way,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: it wasn't just just sitting the sale available for anyone
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: to come.
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: I figured it was when you said somebody set the price,
- 1:23:28Speaker 8: which usually means somebody sold.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: That, but it wasn't an actual auction. It was like,
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: this is how much it is, and someone said, yep,
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: that's a worthy cause and worthy artwork. So good on them.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: Although I traditionally don't like rich people anyway, so it
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: is so it shall be. We have a draw. Everybody's
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: a winner. Everybody kicked ass today, and I hope you
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: guys enjoyed had as much fun as I did. I
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: had an absolute blast, And I want to thank once
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: again Russell Laurence for coming along and having the fun
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: with us and making with the funny as effectively as
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: you do every time. It's just a joy to hang
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: out with you, guys, and I really appreciate it, so thank.
- 1:24:04Speaker 5: You you're having This has been We've been looking forward
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: to this all day weeks. I'm not like not even kidding.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: It's like literally written on the calendar.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: We scheduled it. We scheduled it weeks in advance.
- 1:24:19Speaker 6: There comes a point every time we're on the show
- 1:24:20Speaker 6: where I end up saying like prefacing what I'm gonna
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: say with like I'm not just trying to cut your
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: guys U, but like, we have a lot going on
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: this week because it's a holiday week like everyone does,
- 1:24:30Speaker 6: and we have today alone, we have like a lot
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: going on, and we've been going tomorrow, we have to
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: do this, we have to do this, we have to
- 1:24:37Speaker 6: do this, and we get to go on BO. We've
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: used like everything. We've been like, we have to go
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: down here, we have to run over there, and then
- 1:24:47Speaker 6: we get to go on BFY even like we're huge
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: WWE fans and we're going to watch the Survivor series tonight,
- 1:24:52Speaker 6: but it was like, oh and then we have to
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: watch the Survivor series, but like before that, we get
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: to go on So I just like, for whatever that's worth,
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: that's how we frame that is in our mind what
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: we're doing. It's not in the middle of the day.
- 1:25:04Speaker 6: We gotta go on be like. It's like we get
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: to so we genuinely beautiful.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I love you so much. And uh and Belladonna give
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: her all the switches, all the scritches and treats. Don't
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: let her kill the treats.
- 1:25:27Speaker 6: Doctor recently about how many treats.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Oh no, because dogs don't understand when you withhold treats anyway,
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: So yeah, plug your stuff, man, Uh, have you got
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: any fun I think I heard that you guys had
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: put the YouTube on hiatus for a short time. Is
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: that correct someone like me? Okay, I may I may
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: have read like like an ages old post on the
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: discord and thought.
- 1:25:53Speaker 14: It was new.
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: Maybe go on vacation a few days.
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: We plug YouTube because Lauren has something way cooler coming
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: up on podcasts. So not that our YouTube channel isn't awesome,
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: but we have three videos every single week. And it's
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: it's funny that you say that because I recently. You
- 1:26:15Speaker 6: know how any YouTube video you watch, at some point,
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: they're always like, hey, make sure to hit subscribe and
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: smash that like button. Like okay, you know why you
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: hear that in every video. Hold on. We have people
- 1:26:25Speaker 6: who have subscribed to our channel for years, and we
- 1:26:28Speaker 6: put out three videos every single week, every Sunday, every Thursday,
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: every Saturday. There is a new video on our channel.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: Right now as I'm talking to y'all, we're recording this
- 1:26:38Speaker 6: two days after Thanksgiving twenty twenty four. We have three
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: videos per week get edited, uploaded, scheduled on our through
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: the second week of January. Okay, damn. The most common
- 1:26:50Speaker 6: comment we get is, oh, hell, I didn't know you
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: guys are still putting videos out, and it's.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Like, what like you're subscribed, like what, like, what do
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: you need?
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: And they can't all be reading outdated messages on discord.
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: But anyways, we have three videos every single week. Sunday
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: we do vinyl stuff, which is just us talking about
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: literally just like, oh, hey, we were in Target and
- 1:27:14Speaker 6: saw this record and bought it and here's our thoughts
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: on it. Thursday is our favorite videos, which is we
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: just come up with stuff like what's so great about
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: this album? Here's five songs you forgot about from that decade,
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: like as of the recording of this. Our most recent
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: video from that is five awesome soundtracks from the eighties,
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: you know, like just great soundtracks you should go back
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: and check out. And then on Saturdays we do our
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: reaction videos, which is like, you know, that's a big
- 1:27:40Speaker 6: thing that people do on YouTube, but we really have
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: fun with it and we try and pick stuff that like,
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: not everyone else is doing, and we do requests from
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: people that are like, oh, no one's ever reacted to this,
- 1:27:49Speaker 6: can you do that? We're like, sure, we got time,
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: you know. So anyways, Lauren has way cooler stuff coming
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: up on the Beardell Podcast.
- 1:27:55Speaker 5: I don't know about all that. Oh I do, I do?
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: I do?
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: We recently recorded and it's going to be coming out
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: I think probably the day after this, if everything lines
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: up the way that I want to in my head.
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: We sat down with Ian Globinger, who is the creative
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: director of the Roosevelt's shirt brand and they do a
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: bunch of fun pop culture shirts and stuff like that,
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: and so he came on the show not to talk
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: about the Roosevelt's shirts at all, but to talk about UAHF.
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: And we had a great time with him doing that.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: And I think it's just kind of fun to get
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: people who are known for one thing to come and
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: talk about something else, you know, and have a good
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: time with that. So yeah, that was pretty awesome. I'm
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: in the middle of the Dare to Be Stupid album
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: Deep Dive on the show, so I'm kind of taking
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: a break between sides of the album to do some
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: stuff like the UAHF episode that's coming out. We're gonna
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: do some holiday things. I've we got to get it
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: lined up, but I'm pretty sure we're going to have
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: Chris from the Trivial Warfare podcast and also just all
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: around great guy in front of ours and Bob another
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: great friend of ours over to talk about that just
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: a Weird Else.
- 1:29:06Speaker 6: Song anymore though it is the brother of the guy
- 1:29:09Speaker 6: who runs.
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: Bob is Jonathan's brother, Yes, from Trivial Warfare, and they're
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: going to come over to talk about the the New
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: Year's Eve polka that Weird Au did with Jimmy Fallon.
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: They just came out this year. We're going to talk
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: about that kind of as a holiday thing. And Zach
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: Russa's son, my stepson, all around cool kid, also cool guy,
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: cool grown.
- 1:29:31Speaker 6: Man he is.
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: He will be visiting us soon and so we're going
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: to record something for the show as well. I'm gonna
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: be a holiday thing too.
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: That kid's so cool that you've heard me say this.
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: I regularly tell him that if he wasn't my kid,
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: I'd be pissed that he wasn't my kid.
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: Ye hell yeah, yeah, I think we're gonna do it
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: oops Al Robinson's holiday extravaganza on the Weird Podcast. So yeah,
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: and then getting into the new year, we're gonna hit
- 1:29:59Speaker 5: to of the Dare to Be Stupid album, which is
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: gonna be a huge but it's only a pill from
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: there after that. So yeah, we're any time, you know,
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: talking about weird Al stuff, and I feel like we're
- 1:30:09Speaker 5: in a golden age of weird Al dumb, you know,
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: with this new tour that's happening, you know, shows like
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: this podcast happening, with all of the weird Al questions
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: and stuff. It just goes to show that, you know,
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: the man is a endless fount of excellence.
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: When you can't tell the difference between what he said
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: and what Miss Mayner said, you are a fan of
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: an awesome person.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I was just I was just scrolling through weird
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: l TV shows quotes and I was just struck by
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: how many of them were just like they were like
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: they were like they were very like, you know, here's
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: the way you should behave, you know, and I was like, weird.
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: It was a whole thing, and I'm not not gonna
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: like derail too too much. But the reasoning behind that
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: the Weird Al Show, which aired for like eight glorious
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: weeks in the Year of Our Lord nineteen ninety seven
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: on CBS children's television in the morning. He was forced
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: to do so much on that show that he didn't
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: want to do. Like the reason there's all of those
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: like manners and moral lessons is because children's television is
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: supposed to teach you something, and so you watch that
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: whole thing. There's so many fun weird al nuggets, but
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: there's also so much just like shoehorned education into it.
