- 0:21her chicken coop, along with all her chickens.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning from the porch and not because it's
- 0:32raining, but because I am out here in the pitch dark.
- 0:38Came out to do meditating, sitting here listening to all
- 0:42the frogs and all the little creatures in the background.
- 0:45I'm going to give you a second. Hopefully you can hear them.
- 0:50Hopefully you can hear all of that.
- 0:52And I thought, gosh, what a better way to help somebody
- 0:57start their day in a peaceful way than to bring them into this
- 1:00energy that I am currently in, which is super chill.
- 1:06Just taking it in, listening. The air is very warm already and
- 1:12it feels nice. It's not too hot.
- 1:14It's a little sticky, but not too sticky.
- 1:17Feels very summer like. And it's just peaceful.
- 1:22It's just, there's just a peaceful air about all of this.
- 1:25And why is this important to start your day this way?
- 1:29So I come out here every morning that I can, that the weather is
- 1:32not bad or that I have, you know, something urgent, which is
- 1:38very rare in the morning because I plan my mornings to be this
- 1:41peaceful so I can have this experience.
- 1:44I mean, listen to this. I come out and I sit out here
- 1:47and I mean it is pitch dark and it is beautiful because it's
- 1:52just so quiet and still and starting your day that way, even
- 1:58if it's for 5 minutes, my friends, 5 minutes makes a
- 2:02tremendous difference. The plug in where you just put
- 2:07yourself into something that's much more calm, much more
- 2:10peaceful than you are, all of a sudden just kind of
- 2:13decompresses. All that energy, that anxiety
- 2:17about the day, what's going to happen?
- 2:18Am I going to be able to get it done?
- 2:20And believe me, I have those days.
- 2:22Today is a day where I have to complete a project and it's a
- 2:28big one. And plus I'm coaching and we're
- 2:31teaching a live class tonight and just a lot of things
- 2:35happening. So I came out here early.
- 2:39When I'm recording this, it's actually 4:00 AM.
- 2:42So I wanted to come out and just be, you know what, get it nailed
- 2:47down so they can feel it too. I was in, I, I was like, I think
- 2:50that everybody needs to see. This is part of my routine for,
- 2:55for me, besides going to the coop every morning, you can hear
- 2:58my neighbors rooster off in the distance going off.
- 3:02This is just such a gift, being out and living in such a place
- 3:06where there's nature. If you don't live in a place
- 3:09where there's nature, you can find a place where you just plug
- 3:12in where it's quiet and still. Some people love to do that in
- 3:16the meditation form of just sitting in their room and
- 3:19meditating. I just prefer to come out and
- 3:22listen because it decompresses me.
- 3:24Now, some people can listen to sounds other than this.
- 3:27Some people like city sounds. It's not me.
- 3:29But as everybody knows, it's to each his own.
- 3:33Whatever you find that works for you is perfect.
- 3:35The point of this is saying, hey, let me try to work myself
- 3:40into a state of absolute serenity, peace, decompression,
- 3:44whatever word works for you. Putting myself into this vortex
- 3:49of knowing I'm going into the day in the best energy I
- 3:52possibly can. So my porch is filled with
- 3:56plants that I love and take care of all the time.
- 3:59So that's another thing that I pick up on.
- 4:01The energy of being out here in the feeling of the room I've
- 4:04created, in the space that I've created and just enjoying that
- 4:11fill up before I go in and say, OK, let me tackle my project.
- 4:16It's like pulling into the gas station with your vehicle.
- 4:18When you do that, you feel like, OK, now we're gassed up.
- 4:22Everybody's gone to the bathroom, everybody has their
- 4:24drink. We're ready to go.
- 4:26And that's how you approach the day.
- 4:28But so many people leave off this little, this little stop,
- 4:31this place where you can say, let me collect myself.
- 4:34They just jump out of bed and they use that bed as their place
- 4:38where they like, OK, that was my refuel.
- 4:41And yes, that was a physical refuel.
- 4:43But a mental refuel tool is when you're choosing to plug into
- 4:47something calm and peaceful. Read something potentially, but
- 4:51I actually do the reading in a different point.
- 4:53This for me is just the absolute quiet.
- 4:55No expectations of me learning anything, reading anything.
- 4:59It's just a few minutes of absolute tapped in quiet while
- 5:04I'm conscious, not while I'm sleeping.
- 5:07So hopefully this gives you an idea of how to start your day.
- 5:10Maybe tomorrow you'll start it, but just something to think
- 5:13about. And even if you have to do this
- 5:15in your car, I do have a few clients that will do this in
- 5:18their car in the morning before they walk into their office.
- 5:21Even if you do that, it works. So find your spot to plug in.
- 5:25My friends and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:27Bye.
