Transcript
- 0:00Heavenly father, before I close my eyes tonight,
- 0:05there is something I need to place in your hands.
- 0:09Everything I could not finish. Everything I could
- 0:13not fix. And everything I'm afraid to face tomorrow.
- 0:20Room is becoming quiet, but my thoughts are still
- 0:24moving. I remember conversations I wish had gone
- 0:29differently. I think about responsibilities waiting
- 0:33for me. Part of me is tired enough to sleep.
- 0:40While another part keeps searching for answers.
- 0:47Meet me in this moment. Help me stop rehearsing
- 0:51tomorrow. Long enough to receive the rest I need
- 0:56tonight. I come to you without hiding how this
- 1:02day has felt. For moments when I was patient.
- 1:08Moments when frustration shaped. There were things
- 1:13I handled well and things I would do differently
- 1:17if I could begin again. Thank you for hearing
- 1:24all of it. Forgive me for the harm I caused through
- 1:29careless words or selfish choices. Show me what
- 1:35needs an apology and what needs to change. Give
- 1:41me courage to make things right when morning
- 1:45comes. Help me receive your mercy without spending
- 1:52these quiet hours punishing myself. Father, I
- 1:59bring you the burdens of the people I love. I
- 2:03wish I could protect them from every disappointment.
- 2:08I wish I always knew what to say and how to Teach
- 2:14me to love them faithfully or remembering that
- 2:19I cannot control every part of their lives. Watch
- 2:27over those who are far from home. Comfort those
- 2:33who are grieving, strengthen those caring for
- 2:37someone who is ill. Bring companionship to the
- 2:42person who's gone through this whole day without
- 2:47anyone asking how they feel. Help us notice one
- 2:51another. Make us willing to offer a meal, a listening
- 2:57ear, a thoughtful message, or practical help.
- 3:02When we can, as I lie down, help me least the
- 3:12tension I have carried in my body. Let my shoulders
- 3:17relax. Let my hands become still. Let my breathing
- 3:23settle into a gentle rhythm. When a troubling
- 3:30thought returns, remind me that I can bring it
- 3:34to you again. I do not have to follow every fear
- 3:41to its darking conclusion. Help me recognize
- 3:47what needs attention tomorrow and leave alone
- 3:53tonight. Know the concerns I find difficult to
- 4:01say aloud. You know of the uncertainty about
- 4:06money, the strain in relationships, and the decisions
- 4:13I have been postponing. Give me wisdom. Face
- 4:19these things with honesty. Guide me toward trustworthy
- 4:24advice and the help I need. Jesus, when I feel
- 4:41alone in the darkness, remind me of your invitation
- 4:46to come to you with my burden. Let that invitation
- 4:51become personal to me. Help me believe that I
- 4:57can pray with unfinished thoughts. I'm not meaning
- 5:07to make this moment impressive. I might have
- 5:20overlooked today for water to drink. Someone
- 5:29who showed patience. I've made a difficult hour
- 5:59to bring you the disappointment. I have tried
- 6:03to dismiss. Something mattered to me.
