- 0:00I'm Abby and I'm Anna and this is serious beef welcome.
- 0:04We're a week. We're a week late, sorry.
- 0:07We fucked that listener. We screwed up in our defense.
- 0:11It was the holidays and we were busy.
- 0:14It's not. How could I have known that the
- 0:17last day of the year was going to fall on a Wednesday, right?
- 0:20I did know that, and I had written down.
- 0:25Do you know that? Well, I know you know because
- 0:29well. Moves on Drew Lane.
- 0:34No, we had said, oh, what if we got together and recorded like a
- 0:39podcast? That was a bonus, a bonus bonus.
- 0:42It would come out on Christmas because that was also on a
- 0:43Wednesday. Well.
- 0:44Christmas Eve, I think was a Wednesday.
- 0:45You're so true, So. Correct.
- 0:47You're so true. You're so true.
- 0:48You're not a liar. You're so true.
- 0:52And we're like. That would be a nice thing to
- 0:53do. Fun little Christmas.
- 0:54Oh my God, no time. Not only did we not do that, we
- 0:57didn't even record the episode we were supposed.
- 1:00To fucking record literally, literally screwed up all of.
- 1:02It we were together. Most days, many days during that
- 1:05that time span. We did not get together and
- 1:09record and record them. Yeah, we you know what, we did
- 1:15consider just setting up the microphone at one of the one of.
- 1:19The one of. The Thanksgiving, one of the
- 1:23Christmases, and just like uploading that, what Sam called
- 1:27it, white noise. It would be family white noise
- 1:31of of of our take your pick whichever one I said especially
- 1:34white because it's just especially if it's very white.
- 1:37Sorry, it's just chaos is what it is so, but it's but it's fun.
- 1:41I intend we have a good time. I intended to.
- 1:43Write down like some things that I heard said shouting.
- 1:48I usually do write down things like that I.
- 1:50Don't think I did this time. Well, for me, I was going to
- 1:52write down. For me, I was going to write
- 1:54down. Like stuff out of context.
- 1:57For example, at the Wilhelm Christmas, I keep wanting to say
- 2:01Thanksgiving. At the Wilhelm Christmas, we are
- 2:05all sitting around the table and I yell to you, you're in getting
- 2:08probably like, you know, piece of pie or whatever dessert.
- 2:12And I'm talking to Sam and I turn in and I just shout, Anna,
- 2:16when did the Shackleton expedition happen?
- 2:18That's true. That's true.
- 2:19You did yell at. This is very important.
- 2:22Completely out, completely out of the blue.
- 2:24Right out of context, a very weird thing.
- 2:26Sam and I of course were talking about that, and I was explaining
- 2:29how we need to make a Muppet thing, but Sam had no idea what
- 2:32the Shackleton expedition even was.
- 2:34Shocking. And that's why we need a Muppet
- 2:36Movie. Is she even my daughter?
- 2:37I don't even know. It's that's why I was like, I
- 2:40go. Sam was like, well, sorry, I
- 2:41don't. I had no big history.
- 2:43I was like, no, no, I was like, don't feel bad.
- 2:45The only other person I talk about this is with you, and your
- 2:48base of knowledge of this is probably more than what the
- 2:52average person is, so I just assume everybody.
- 2:55Everyone should know about this, and you know how I know about
- 2:57it? It was in.
- 2:59One of the I know. Exactly I can picture.
- 3:01The book, Yeah. When I used to teach 3rd grade,
- 3:05it was in one of like the I think it was the story, but it
- 3:07was in one of the reading books. Yes.
- 3:08Yeah. We had to read the story about.
- 3:10Yeah, but it was after you were in 3rd grade.
- 3:12You guys didn't? I don't think.
- 3:13No, I, I remember this vividly. Really this.
- 3:16And there was like, because there was like a picture.
- 3:19I thought I figured it had gotten well, maybe been new for
- 3:21me, who knows. But I pick pictures vividly then
- 3:24like at the top of this like mountain icy kind of thing.
- 3:28And they all have this like rope and and whatnot.
- 3:30And it's talking about how they had to trek across all this
- 3:33stuff because. You have to.
- 3:34And there's not actual pictures of like the ship and the ice
- 3:37when we've talked about this. But that's not my beef today.
- 3:39No, but here's the thing. So my actual beef today, I don't
- 3:43know about you. I personally use Google for a
- 3:45lot of stuff where I got my Gmail.
- 3:47I, you know, I love a spreadsheet.
- 3:48I'm not paying Microsoft. Well, I don't.
- 3:52I've never used Google Docs just because.
- 3:54Google Docs, Google Sheet. At work we have Microsoft, you
- 3:57know, so I have those, yeah. Well, and even like every time
- 3:59you upload something to an e-mail that goes into your like
- 4:02drive and all that kind of stuff and yeah, yeah, yada, yada.
- 4:05So I I use it for a lot and I keep getting the notification
- 4:09that I've used 83% of my storage because they only give you 15
- 4:13gigs of space. And I use. 12 of them.
- 4:17But here's the thing. It's like if if you run out of
- 4:21space, it's like you can't use Gmail anymore, you'll like
- 4:26because it can't store any more info or whatever.
- 4:29And so it's like I either got to go in, clean up, delete a whole
- 4:33bunch of shit out, you know, and old emails, which what if I need
- 4:38to know about the Michael's coupon sale from, you know,
- 4:412018? What if I need that Google or?
- 4:46I you do not clean out the junk and crap out of your.
- 4:50I need to no. I do, I do I delete the.
- 4:53I do it almost obsessively because I hate.
- 4:55Having it in there. It's probably in my like trash.
- 5:00Yes. You know what I mean?
- 5:01Or junk. Your junk folder's probably.
- 5:03That full you know what I need to empty the junk folder and
- 5:06you've just given me a a a green blast here.
- 5:11I need to delete everything out of here.
- 5:16Yeah. I've got 1412 emails in my
- 5:19trash. Yeah.
- 5:21So delete that, yeah. So we're going to clean that up.
- 5:24You'll. Clean that up.
- 5:25But I got beef. Because because you know what?
- 5:29What do you fucking mean? What do you mean my I just
- 5:32can't, no, how dare I got a free ass e-mail.
- 5:36You let me get my fucking emails.
- 5:39Maybe I can't, you know, upload any more shit, but you fucking
- 5:43get my goddamn emails. It's true.
- 5:45I've had a Hotmail since I was in like 6th fucking grade.
- 5:49Not once has it ever told me I was running.
- 5:51It's never told me that I've had that same Hotmail since the dawn
- 5:57of time. I think it's not the first
- 5:59e-mail I had. We actually had AOL at one
- 6:02point. That was probably the first
- 6:03e-mail, but Hotmail was the second one that I started when I
- 6:07was back when you were a teacher and you had to start emailing
- 6:11things out to parents. So it's really a very teachery
- 6:16e-mail, but what are you going to do?
- 6:17But you're saying if I paid $10 because they got a sale going
- 6:21on, if I pay $10, OK, I can have 100 gigabytes of space on
- 6:28Google, $10.00 for the year? Fuck you, Google.
- 6:32Yeah, Fuck you and your $10. Yeah.
- 6:34That's my. Fucking money.
- 6:35I don't want to. I don't want to fucking pay $10.
- 6:38Take your take your storage and and shove it up your butt,
- 6:41right? And I don't.
- 6:43And I just got to. Listen, I'm off a little
- 6:45aggressive. Listen, Google, I don't.
- 6:46I don't mean that. I, Abby, really loves you.
- 6:50I use you a. Lot.
- 6:51I got the, I got the. Playlist spreadsheet In here
- 6:54I've got the serious Beef spreadsheet.
- 6:55Please don't cut her off. I've got fantasy football
- 6:58spreadsheets in here. I got my Bills spreadsheet.
- 7:02What can you get rid of? Well, how old of a how?
- 7:04Go back to the old old old stuff that you.
- 7:06Create. What if I?
- 7:07What's? What's this?
- 7:10What if I need these draft rankings from 2019?
- 7:13I don't think you're ever going to need that.
- 7:14I think it's safe. I think it's safe to delete
- 7:17that. How dare you.
- 7:18I let's man, that might be therapeutic.
- 7:20Go ahead and delete it, right? Now what about this one?
- 7:22This one says Untitled Spreadsheet I.
- 7:25Can't delete that. I'm saving that for a ready day
- 7:32final. You never know when I'm going to
- 7:34need to create a spreadsheet. What else you got?
- 7:38I got. Let's see.
- 7:41I'll be the judge. You tell me.
- 7:42I'll tell you. You can delete.
- 7:43Everything. I don't know what this this says
- 7:45OLC sheet and this one says copy of OLC sheet.
- 7:48Oh my God, here's another. Both of those can go.
- 7:53Here's another untitled spreadsheet.
- 7:55Oh my God. I'm sure that another untitled
- 7:58spreadsheet OK, sometimes it just saves them.
- 7:59So so when you don't even know what it is.
- 8:02The point is, is that those untitled ones are not taking up
- 8:05massive amounts of space, right? I got to figure out what is and
- 8:08I know what is probably what is it I have I'm a what a friend I
- 8:14am. We've got like our guys that we
- 8:18play on. DND with on Mondays.
- 8:23And I have a folder where I have uploaded like various RPG games,
- 8:32OK, which is like the Dungeons and Dragons and such like that.
- 8:35Sure. So there's a ton of these
- 8:37different games. And really all it is all those
- 8:39games are with if you say like, oh, I bought that game and I'm
- 8:42doing, I'm doing finger quotes listener.
- 8:45Yeah, it's just a book, right? You know what I mean?
- 8:49Like the, you know, the DND book, it's just the players
- 8:51handbook, the DM's guy, whatever.
- 8:54But it's like a digital version. Correct.
- 8:56Well, yeah, so so because all RPGs are really just books and
- 9:01most of them use the same like base concept of like you have
- 9:05dice. Well, we already own dice, you
- 9:06know, whatever you as long as you can find like a PDF of the
- 9:11game, like then you have that right.
- 9:14So like we have Thirsty Sword Lesbians, a classic.
- 9:18Now we did buy that one from Gen.
- 9:20Con. So I got the free PDF, but I
- 9:21uploaded to this folder. Then I shared this folder with
- 9:23our friends and they can also upload things and they can and
- 9:26you can all share, right? OK, excellent.
- 9:28Yeah, so like our friend pal had uploaded the one ring, which is
- 9:331 he had bought, which is a like a Lord of the Rings game, all
- 9:37that kind of stuff. So unfortunately I think that
- 9:41this is stored on my stuff. It's taking up a lot of space.
- 9:47Probably is, but you know, what? Are you gonna do these?
- 9:53Are all good questions? What?
- 9:54Yeah, all. No idea.
- 9:56No, no, probably. I'm gonna delete my trash and
- 9:59we're gonna see in my junk and I'm gonna see where we are at
- 10:03that point. OK, That's what I'm gonna do.
- 10:04All right? That's what I'm gonna do.
- 10:07So do your junk, do your trash. Yeah, my beef is with Google,
- 10:10honestly, you know? Just give me the 100 gigabytes.
- 10:13I think I deserve it. It's true because, you know,
- 10:15it's really not that big of a deal.
- 10:17Why you got to be greedy? Why you got to be greedy?
- 10:20You got to be greedy and milk $10 out of people, right?
- 10:22Come on. That seems a little greedy, come
- 10:24on. But Outlook is doing the same
- 10:27thing to me at my work. Bastards.
- 10:28I know what they're like. Your inbox is phone and there is
- 10:32no more room. And then they keep sending me an
- 10:34e-mail stating that it's full and I'm like if it's full how is
- 10:39there possibly room for you to send me this dumb ass e-mail
- 10:43that now I have to delete out to make room?
- 10:47I'm so angry. You're full and here's the
- 10:50people. To prove it.
- 10:51The irony of that is that irony I don't even know.
- 10:54I'm like, I got probably like 10 emails.
- 10:57I got an e-mail twice a day until and I am frantic twice a
- 11:01day telling me that my e-mail is full and I am frantically
- 11:06deleting, deleting, deleting. And I've been there for 15
- 11:08years. There's a lot of stuff in there
- 11:10because I'm not deleting Jack shit, right?
- 11:12Because it's like anything I've sent.
- 11:15Yeah, anything that's been sent to me, especially telling me to
- 11:18do anything with anybody's money not getting deleted, OK.
- 11:22And so on and so forth. And I'm just like, well, I guess
- 11:26I can go back and delete stuff from 2011.
- 11:34Have you deleted your trash? Yes, Andrew.
- 11:37Spam. Yes, I went back.
- 11:39I get no spam. There must be a blocker blocks
- 11:41it because I don't get it. I have nothing in it.
- 11:43The junk folder. Interesting.
- 11:44My junk or spam is always empty. I see there's everything in
- 11:46there and I don't get any. Really the only thing I get ever
- 11:50is like, I can tell it's like a test.
- 11:52Yeah, from my work. I'm like, delete, delete, get
- 11:54out of here and report those. Because when you apparently, you
- 11:58know in Outlook, when you delete something like in Hotmail or
- 12:04Google, I think after X amount of days it deletes like it goes
- 12:07away. No, it doesn't.
- 12:09I just learned that I got four 1422 fucking emails by tracks.
- 12:13I know in Hotmail, which is Outlook Yeah, now, yeah, my hot,
- 12:18my Hotmail, my personal, you know, account after X amount of
- 12:21days when you throw it in there, it does it does delete it not my
- 12:25work Outlook. If I delete it, it just sits
- 12:28there. So.
- 12:29I think that's the setting. Maybe that may be true because I
- 12:34got AI got a gal who you know, she's got to send the e-mail out
- 12:37about getting the Powerball tickets.
- 12:39That shit can be deleted, you know, like I don't need to save
- 12:42that for 15 years. So true.
- 12:43And so I'm like. OK, I'm going to go through, go
- 12:47through and. Deleted all this, you know the
- 12:49deleted stuff that needed to actually go away.
- 12:53So because there's another chick that she gave her Christmas and
- 12:55Thanksgiving for some reason is selling cheese balls.
- 12:59She's the vice president of cheese balls.
- 13:00And you remember that I had 20 million emails about cheese
- 13:06balls. I went to leave all those.
- 13:09I was like good God, quit trying to sell me a cheese ball.
- 13:13OK, OK. I'm glad that you you turned
- 13:15this around to the vice president of cheese balls
- 13:16because I was like, man, the listeners are going to be like,
- 13:18this is riveting. This is hearing about female
- 13:21storage. So I had to clear up a whole.
- 13:23Bunch of e-mail storage because so I could be for that because
- 13:27Outlook kept telling me kept emailing me that I didn't have
- 13:29any more space. I could be with that.
- 13:31I beg to differ, but Google should just give me more space.
- 13:35I agree. I think it's the corporate greed
- 13:37is ridiculous there right. So do they need large data
- 13:42centers and things like that to store all store my all my stuff
- 13:45special sheet balls? My untitled?
- 13:50Spreadsheets. Maybe like 16 of them.
- 13:53Maybe. Yeah, that's not my.
- 13:56Problem. It's not.
- 13:58It's not maybe. If you can't afford to be in
- 14:00business. Maybe you shouldn't have offered
- 14:03for. E-mail, then you've done it.
- 14:05Now you've. Done it now.
- 14:07I got no sympathy. Damn it, Oh my gosh.
- 14:10But OK, all right, we I understand your beef and also
- 14:14have beef with that. Well, you know what goes with
- 14:16good with beef? What a sauce it does.
- 14:19There you go. Look at what?
- 14:20Look at that transition. What a transition man.
- 14:22Abby, you are so smooth. Thank you.
- 14:25Smooth like today. Sauce.
- 14:26Chardonnay sauce, Chardonnay sauce, Ashley said.
- 14:30I'm pretty sure that's a sauce and it is a Google and I googled
- 14:34it. Not sponsored by Google.
- 14:38Not sponsored by Google, but Google did confirm it well that
- 14:43it is a sauce. It didn't.
- 14:45I think that actually goes well with we just got made it.
- 14:50We made it through the holidays successfully, had a ton of fun
- 14:56family in town. I think you had four Christmas
- 14:58events to go to just with family.
- 15:01I had three. Had a friends miss.
- 15:03Between between, you know, both sides of, of the families and
- 15:07grandparents and you're right, friends and so many, so many
- 15:12gatherings, so much fun. It's exhausting, but it's super
- 15:17fun. Yeah, yeah, we had four family
- 15:19ones plus a friend's Christmas and then.
- 15:21We and then birthday. We had the birthday, the the
- 15:23which was what, a day? What a day, because families in
- 15:26town. So my nephew and Abby and Ashley
- 15:28both have all three have the same birthday, which we've
- 15:31talked about this, I'm sure, but what a hoot.
- 15:34And we had a we got pedicures. We went and got pedicures in the
- 15:39morning, which was fun. My nephew didn't go though.
- 15:42No, he did not. Then we could have, but you
- 15:43know. Yeah, no, but we went and got
- 15:45pedicures and then we went back over, saw the grandparents did
- 15:50did we found out that all of us like pumpkin pie.
- 15:53So we got a pumpkin pie. We got the world's weirdest
- 15:58sketchy pie. What?
- 15:59No, the world's sketchiest candles.
- 16:02We didn't even put on the pie with the.
- 16:04Crust was so hard on that pie though I will say it was.
- 16:06Frozen, but they had it was sitting.
- 16:08Out. It must have just pulled it out
- 16:09of the. Fridge it was something because
- 16:10it was ice cold. It was really cool.
- 16:12So we pick up a couple pumpkin. Pies from Snooks and the can of
- 16:15Ready Whip, which we went cheap and went got the Snooks brand.
- 16:18Never again. It was terrible.
- 16:19And it should have went with the actual Ready Whip, but we didn't
- 16:22have time for Cool Whip to thaw out, so we had to just get that.
- 16:25Yeah, I got these candles that are like really tall and I
- 16:28thought, well, maybe the wax won't melt all over the the pie.
- 16:31They were. It turned out they were sparkler
- 16:34candles, but only Cades sparkled.
- 16:37Yes. Well, but we didn't even put it
- 16:39in the thing. We just they handed us all.
- 16:41Here hold these these. That's like, you know, maybe 6
- 16:44inches. Would you say?
- 16:46Little candle, super thin and we're trying to light them all
- 16:49really thin. Ash and Kate and I are all
- 16:51holding these candles as they're on fire and waxes is going
- 16:57everywhere. And they melted.
- 16:58Really. Fast.
- 16:59And we're like fucking, you know, double.
- 17:01Time when that happened to you every day like must go faster
- 17:06wax. Is everywhere case is the only
- 17:08one that sparkled. Well, like sparks are like
- 17:10shooting off intermittently from his and we're like what the fuck
- 17:13is going on, right? Now what is that?
- 17:14We finally read the packaging. It's supposed to be sparkler
- 17:15candles. They were terrible.
- 17:18Right, we're like frantically grabbing napkins to get under
- 17:20these candles, so. They're gonna wax.
- 17:21So wax, Yeah, that didn't go well.
- 17:25So kids wouldn't blow out. We're eating.
- 17:29Frozen pumpkin pie. Yeah.
- 17:30Was with terrible flat ready with and we were dying.
- 17:34It was, you know, whatever. But then you guys decided to do
- 17:36we're like, well, what do you how do you want to spend your
- 17:39birth? It's your birthday.
- 17:39What do you want to do? He said.
- 17:41We'll get some drinks, we'll come over, we'll like.
- 17:43Have some? No, no, no.
- 17:45You wasn't that casual. It wasn't.
- 17:47We'll get some drinks. No, no, I said it was well, hang
- 17:51on. I said we're began.
- 17:53We're began with we'll get some drinks from over.
- 17:56We'll get a little buzz and do drunk.
- 17:57D&D is what we had because I was like, oh, we should play D&D.
- 18:00That'll be really fun. Yes, that is not what occurred.
- 18:05Well, well, exactly. Initially I think it was Liv who
- 18:09said we should or Sam, we should get a buzz ball, one of those
- 18:14giant buzz balls. You know what?
- 18:15No, it was Ashley. Saw a video.
- 18:16Oh, it was Ashley. And sent it.
- 18:19And we should pass it around. He's paid for that.
- 18:21And everybody do shots. Yes.
- 18:23And Ashley, he's paid for that mistake.
- 18:24Oh, I think all of you paid a little bit.
- 18:27Not in in some some way, shape or form.
- 18:30Well, you had to take care of her.
- 18:31So you paid. That's true.
- 18:32That's true. Everybody paid.
- 18:34Yeah. So we did not do D&D.
- 18:37We were all way too drunk. They were way too drunk.
- 18:40You brought over cheeseburgers we didn't even get.
- 18:44Ours I'm at my I'm at my mom and dad's house with my brother and
- 18:48and you know, my and sister-in-law and my sister, you
- 18:51know, the, the adults in the room.
- 18:54Apparently we're we're over there hanging out and talking.
- 18:57And then we played some pasta trash because that's my mom's
- 18:58favorite game. Classic.
- 19:00And then I get AI get a text from Olivia saying that she
- 19:05needed a cheeseburger. We all did.
- 19:08And then Noah, Kate's partner, texted.
- 19:11Which actually hey, shout out to Kate, Noah and new listeners.
- 19:14I don't know if they hated. To listen to this episode or
- 19:17not, they were. Going to they were going to
- 19:18listen when they left and I'm not sure what they thought, but
- 19:23hey, shout out to them. But yeah.
- 19:25So then I get the message from Noah Anna.
- 19:29Please we need to use burn. I was like.
- 19:34So I call and I'm like, does everybody?
- 19:36Need a cheeseburger? Yes, the whole group.
- 19:39So they had drunk Cousins night. It was super fun slash birthday
- 19:43party over at Eben Ashes and yeah, Wayne and I and Mare had
- 19:47to go get cheeseburgers for everybody and we bring them all
- 19:51over and it was hilarious because we walk in and I think
- 19:56everybody was super drunk except for Cade.
- 19:58Yeah, you were. You were tipsy for sure.
- 20:02For sure I was not too far gone yet.
- 20:04But we walked in and Sam turns around and goes My mom is here.
- 20:10I was outside. I missed my mom.
- 20:15I was. She comes over and gets me this
- 20:16massive hug and I'm like. Wow, you were really drunk.
- 20:20You better eat this cheeseburger.
- 20:21She's like, cheeseburger everybody, and then somebody ate
- 20:27your cheeseburgers. Ate what?
- 20:30Cheeseburger ate Ashley's you get.
- 20:32Ash took about two bites and it was like, that was it?
- 20:34She was done for the night. That was one that I was bitten
- 20:37into on the table. Well, I don't know whose
- 20:39cheeseburger that was. What?
- 20:41Bite. There was like a couple of bites
- 20:44and then she was done and then everybody got emotional and
- 20:48heart to hearts, all kinds of heart to hearts and eyes.
- 20:50I love you guys. I.
- 20:53Love you as we throw it. Around, which was awesome
- 20:55because Mayor and I were loving it.
- 20:56We're like, of course we love you guys too.
- 20:58When we were, we were completely.
- 20:59Sober, Yeah. Oh my God.
- 21:04You guys are good sports. Well, cuz, well, there was
- 21:06Noah's first time kind of being coming down here.
- 21:09Yeah, for Christmas. Yeah, for Christmas with the
- 21:11whole thing. We love him.
- 21:13He's a hoot. He was super fun.
- 21:17It was a good, it was a fun time.
- 21:19I'm glad you guys had fun. That was awesome.
- 21:21It looked like everybody had fun.
- 21:23Not sure how everybody, I think Sam and Liv slept till noon the
- 21:26next day. Yeah.
- 21:27So Ashley was was. Yeah.
- 21:29No, you and I, we went somewhere.
- 21:31We went to go see listener Katie.
- 21:33Oh, yeah. Because Ashley stuck her head
- 21:35out the door and said I'm alive, I'm alive or I'm not dead.
- 21:39And I was like, oh, thank God. And then she went back.
- 21:41So back at. Me, you're right.
- 21:42We went to visit listener Katie. Yeah, Listener Katie.
- 21:44Yep. Yep.
- 21:45Cuz she was, she was around here.
- 21:47So that was a great time. And she made me a bracelet.
- 21:49What? Yes, an awesome, awesome, cool
- 21:52thing. Yep.
- 21:53So I was excited. That was really awesome.
- 21:54We exchanged many gifts and I was actually the first time I
- 21:57got to meet her and I felt like I knew her so well already after
- 21:59just you knowing her for so long and you hear about it and you
- 22:01showed me pictures. And so that was awesome that I
- 22:04got to meet her and we had an awesome, really fun, really fun
- 22:08visit. Yeah, I think more fun for us.
- 22:10But you know, right, It's all good.
- 22:12Well, well, Speaking of Christmas, I was going to ask
- 22:16you, did you get anything? Well, what?
- 22:18What did you get for Christmas? You got anything, Anything good?
- 22:21Anything you're excited about, Want to tell the listeners
- 22:23about? Well, I I got AI got some new,
- 22:29what do you call those? They're not earbuds, they're
- 22:31over the ear. They're called earbuds.
- 22:33Are they called earbuds? They don't like go in?
- 22:35Yeah, dig into your ear. I don't know the kinds that go
- 22:39like in kind of irritate my ear, but I can't have.
- 22:41Both have weird shapes. And I can't have like big huge
- 22:43headphones on at work. I do so.
- 22:47I don't care. So I wanted, so I needed, I
- 22:50wanted to try those like over the ear ones.
- 22:53And so your Wayne got your Wayne, your dad, my Wayne.
- 22:56Wayne got me those. And while I was wrapping Sam's
- 23:00presents, they it was sitting there and I had to wrap it for
- 23:04your dad to myself, which is whatevs.
- 23:07I don't care what's lasting. I'm right present, but I got
- 23:10mixed in there and so. I wrote to Sam from Wayne from
- 23:13Wayne and so then. Shows up, she's like, huh?
- 23:19OK. She didn't even like A tag.
- 23:21She just thought it said to Sam. And she opened up and shows up.
- 23:24She's like, I didn't really ask for these, but OK, because she
- 23:26had asked for like the headphone kind.
- 23:28And I go, oh, actually that's for me.
- 23:33We did there is a there is a couple things we get that good
- 23:36was that mixed up on the Rab and we would just like quickly threw
- 23:39it back in the bag. She grabbed the bag and threw it
- 23:41in there and then brought it over to me.
- 23:42I was like. Oh, to Hannah from Wayne.
- 23:44Oh, thanks, Wayne. Like pull it out of the bag.
- 23:48Yeah, Oh. My God.
- 23:49So that was pretty funny. So I'm excited to try those.
- 23:52I got a the picture frame from you guys, from you and
- 23:56everybody. Everyone got the digital
- 23:58picture. Frames.
- 23:59That we can send pics to each other.
- 24:01I think we talked about this and I can't, we all can't.
- 24:04We loved it. We when we were sending pics to
- 24:06Abby, we were like, damn, this is actually really awesome.
- 24:08And we all loved it. And then everyone got a four
- 24:10pack. So everybody got one.
- 24:12Everyone got 1 so that's awesome.
- 24:13I'll be communicating exclusively.
- 24:15Yes, you're going to have to tell me how to set it up and I
- 24:18want to take that to my office. So that'll be really fun.
- 24:20And Liv got me the I've I think maybe we've talked about this.
- 24:26We talked about Hallmark Christmas movies before and my
- 24:29favorite one, I'm not I don't like we've talked about this
- 24:32obsessed over them. We talked about this specific
- 24:34movie we have. And so she got me the the a
- 24:37billboard Christmas on DVD so I can watch it whenever I want.
- 24:41So she got me that for Christmas and I loved it.
- 24:44And Sam got me. There's a band I love called Day
- 24:496 and they have little animal characters that like that
- 24:53represent the the band members. And she got me a set of those.
- 24:56So they're adorable and I love them.
- 24:58So that was that was a surprise. I didn't expect that.
- 25:00That's fine. So I cleaned up.
- 25:02I was super happy. I love, I had a great time.
- 25:04Yeah. I'm trying to Oh, you got me a
- 25:06little heater. For your office.
- 25:08I heard you were so fucking. I'm on the phone with you.
- 25:10You told me you're like, I'm by the window and I'm really cold
- 25:12and, like a little tiny heater for office.
- 25:14Yeah. How did that took heart?
- 25:15Yeah. I'll try to remember.
- 25:17Oh, I got you. Got me a little hat that said
- 25:19eldest daughter. Yes, like the the.
- 25:22Taylor Swift song, I was like exciting.
- 25:23Well, I didn't get, like I said, Ashley's the only one that
- 25:25really sent me really good ideas.
- 25:26And the rest of you, I kind of had to guess.
- 25:28I got a couple ideas. I know.
- 25:29And so I saw that hat elder starter and it's the teal with
- 25:33the orange letters. And I was like Taylor Swift,
- 25:35this is Abby for sure. And she's the eldest starter.
- 25:38And then the T-shirt said, in my showgirl era, yeah.
- 25:42And it's really cute with black, with like the teal and the
- 25:45orange, Yeah, with a big Orange Bowl.
- 25:47And I'm like, oh, this is actually, it's not too girly.
- 25:50No, but it's like it's just like AT shirt.
- 25:52It's just AT. Shirt you know, it's very cute I
- 25:55thought it was really cute It was really cute and I got out,
- 25:57of course, a Godzilla T-shirt yeah, I love it and there.
- 26:00Was What does the Godzilla T-shirt say?
- 26:05This is a good day. Yeah.
- 26:07Oh yeah, that's right. And I got it's him.
- 26:09Because it's a little cute Godzilla like.
- 26:11Cute little tubby little tubby squat Godzilla just walking
- 26:15along. It's a.
- 26:15It's a good. Day and I was like every morning
- 26:18I tell Abby to have a good day and every morning, Abby says.
- 26:23No, no, no. So I'm like, I'm getting this
- 26:27shirt because when she wears it, which now maybe she won't wear
- 26:31it to spite me. I don't know.
- 26:32She will have. She'll have to have a good day.
- 26:35It'll have to happen. Yes, it will say it on the
- 26:38shirt. At a spite.
- 26:39So I that's why I got that shirt.
- 26:41Yeah. Well, I think I said to you, I
- 26:43was like, listen, 2026 is going to be our year whether it likes.
- 26:47It or not? Legit, legit.
- 26:50I'm tired. I'm tired.
- 26:51I'm going into too many years. Like, OK, listen, it cannot be
- 26:54worse than the past year, right? We had a rough one.
- 26:57Yeah, we're moving. You know what I mean?
- 26:59Like I'm like, it's going to be fine.
- 27:01You tell listeners you run in the new year year by replacing
- 27:03your water heater. Well, that's what I mean, but
- 27:06that technically happened in December.
- 27:08The last year of the day had to Last year of the day, last year
- 27:11of the day, last day of the year.
- 27:13It felt like. God bless my dyslexia.
- 27:16You had to replace your water here.
- 27:18I'm like wow, even that last day, even that last day was
- 27:22gonna get you you know what and and and what then there was 4
- 27:26fucking leaks in the pipes. They hooked up to the propane.
- 27:30The guy did a terrible job apparently.
- 27:32So we tried to kill you guys. Well.
- 27:36The guy comes out. Because you went to take the
- 27:38dogs to the doggy daycare Friday morning.
- 27:40Yes. So it's like, yeah.
- 27:42Or whatever day. Whatever day it was, you come
- 27:44back and now you're smelling this gas.
- 27:46Well, on the 31st is when we got it installed, so that sucks, but
- 27:50we're like whatever. Whatever, at least it came out,
- 27:52it's got, it's done. And, and it kind of smelled when
- 27:55we find out that our our water heater was not up to code.
- 27:59And that's like what? And we're like, OK.
- 28:01Not even possible. Because when we find out that
- 28:04like, whatever the part was that was wrong, the whole thing could
- 28:08have exploded. So we're like, OK, great.
- 28:13So we get the new one installed. Everything's fine, except that
- 28:19we could smell like we thought we smelled gas on the on the day
- 28:24that it was installed the 31st Which.
- 28:25I think is normal because you took sometimes when you turn
- 28:27your gas off and then turn it back on you would smell it.
- 28:29Something you're not going to like.
- 28:30You know what? That's not that.
- 28:31Weird. You're not going to be alarmed
- 28:32by that of. Course, I was like, you know, if
- 28:34we still smell it tomorrow, we'll call.
- 28:37We put the carbon monoxide the thing like right next to where
- 28:40The thing is, so it should go off.
- 28:41Update. It wouldn't even set that off
- 28:43even if there was a leak. As we found out the the it's
- 28:47natural gas so we won't set off the carbon.
- 28:49Monoxide. No it will not.
- 28:50It has to be carbon monoxide. Yeah, just we found that out.
- 28:52OK, gotcha. So me putting that over there as
- 28:55a preventative. Measure was a waste of your.
- 28:56Time. Nothing at all.
- 28:57Yes, and genius. So on the 1st we still kind of
- 29:02smelled it, but now it's New Year's Day, so nobody.
- 29:05'S nobody's going to come out, yeah.
- 29:07So then on the 2nd we took the boys doggy daycare and we call
- 29:12and. Well, you came back, now you're
- 29:14not because you kind of get nose blind to it, but when you come
- 29:18back and then you're going to really smell.
- 29:20And we, and we did when we got back in the house, we're like.
- 29:22Son of a bitch, OK? So, you know, we call Hamrin has
- 29:25to come out and test it and all that kind of stuff.
- 29:27There's like 4 leaks and then we had to call them, come back out
- 29:31and fix it. So they did.
- 29:33So our house is no longer a fire hazard.
- 29:36Very exciting, but I'm just like, you got that bullet.
- 29:40I know I'm like, you got to be shitting.
- 29:43Sends me the picture where Ameren had marked marked put
- 29:47like red flags they put. Little red ties around
- 29:49everywhere that they test and they find a leak.
- 29:51Boom boom, four different links. I'm like, like, dude, what in
- 29:55the world? Oh.
- 29:56Look at this like you got so. That was that was a little
- 29:58frustrating, but. But not thankfully.
- 30:02Thankfully we did OK. The house didn't blow up.
- 30:04That's what matters. You had gotten the dogs out of
- 30:07the house actually for the day, which was was lucky.
- 30:10Yeah, They weren't going to be here when the guy had to come
- 30:14back and fix it. So somehow it all managed.
- 30:17To work out, yeah, we didn't explode in the house and I
- 30:19really appreciate that. So like I said, 20262026 is
- 30:24going to be our year. Absolutely.
- 30:26Absolutely. It's going to turn it around.
- 30:28It fucking better. We're going to turn the beat
- 30:29around with Gloria Stefan. It's going to be great.
- 30:32Well, do you have any New Year's, any New Year's
- 30:34resolutions? Maybe I should say some goals
- 30:38for 2026? You got anything?
- 30:40I, I, you know, there's things I want to do.
- 30:43I want to work on my house. You know how you, you know, your
- 30:48house needs updates. So I went like I told you that
- 30:52I'm like, we need to kind of walk around the house and
- 30:53prioritize like, because I want to paint the down the the I just
- 30:59have these white walls and they're very boring.
- 31:01So I'm like, let's let's put some we've been in that house
- 31:03for 23 years. Wow.
- 31:07So, you know, I think it's time for some updates.
- 31:10So that's that's a goal. I know that wild.
- 31:13So that's a goal. I think right there for for you
- 31:15dad and I, we want to do some updates to our house.
- 31:17And because it's not like it's, you know, torn up or anything,
- 31:22it just needs updates. So that's that's that's one big
- 31:25one that I want to work on. And you talked about journaling,
- 31:30doing the bullet journaling. I got.
- 31:32I got a. Bullet.
- 31:32Journal And I'm like, I don't know if I would be willing to
- 31:35spend that much time, but. You know what I'm?
- 31:37I am I'm I'm second guessing it by every day and what you tried
- 31:43for this year then you decide to be like.
- 31:45But the one thing that Sam and I did a few years back, we had
- 31:49this, we had these little slips of, of colorful paper and a
- 31:54clear, big clear container. And that was we, we had to write
- 31:581 positive thing on a little piece of paper, the date and
- 32:02then the positive thing and then put it in the little container.
- 32:05It looked really cute. And then at the end of the year
- 32:07we done them all and we read them all.
- 32:09OK, Now there were some days where it was tough to write a
- 32:14positive thing. Yeah.
- 32:16And then there were days we're in multiple things, you know
- 32:18what I mean? It's just, but it was kind of
- 32:20supposed to help your, you know, your friend of mine and help you
- 32:23be thankful and, and, and I, and that was really, really fun.
- 32:27And but I, so this year I kind of want to do it, but I, I can,
- 32:30I think I'd rather just do it like in a little journal rather
- 32:33than have to cut the paper part. And well, I've got this, my
- 32:37things got a page. It's like highlight of the day.
- 32:39It's for the monthly ones. So there's like one for every
- 32:41day the, you know, that month that you can write a little
- 32:43thing in there. So.
- 32:45Right. So I like that and I'm like, you
- 32:47were showing me yours. It's very cute.
- 32:50So this, I got the PDF. I paid the Etsy on Etsy, the
- 32:56girl who made it or Gotcha. OK, cute.
- 32:59So I printed it out. I printed them like 2 up on some
- 33:03cardstock and then just fold it in half.
- 33:04Gotcha. Because I was like, I don't want
- 33:06this. It doesn't need to be that
- 33:07giant. Yeah.
- 33:08Plus it's a lot of ink. So yeah.
- 33:09Absolutely do 2 in a page. Yep.
- 33:11So so it ended up being kind of perfect.
- 33:13Now I'm realizing this little binder that you've brought me
- 33:16that I'm going to, I'm going to manually punch the holes in
- 33:20because we because a three hole punch is is too big.
- 33:23Yeah. So I'm going to manually punch
- 33:24the holes in on this thing. For all of these, for each
- 33:27month, for each, you know what I should have brought like?
- 33:31That's like I don't. Even know this little binder
- 33:35holds like these 4A page of four spots for the for the photo
- 33:41cards. OK and and the holes are pre
- 33:43punched. I should have brought you one of
- 33:45those sleeves so you could line it up and punch punch, punch.
- 33:47That's what I need to do. That's OK, but I can bring you
- 33:49one if you want and that'll help.
- 33:50You. Well, I can also.
- 33:51Just it'll help you know where to punch but but so you don't
- 33:54screw up your page. What the listener I think maybe
- 33:56doesn't know is I've got like you, 100.
- 33:59It's probably not 100 but like 80 to 90 sheets of paper and the
- 34:04binder. We opened up the it's not a
- 34:06three hole punch, you know, Clippy Binder, it's six.
- 34:09It's like 6 legit. There's like 3 and three for
- 34:12some reason. I don't know why.
- 34:13I don't know why. So that's a lot of holes.
- 34:16Punch like 600 fucking holes manually.
- 34:20It's a lot of holes. A lot of holes.
- 34:24I'm sorry. I was like, I got you.
- 34:26I actually have this extra binder.
- 34:28You could use it. Oh boy, I didn't.
- 34:30We opened it up. We were like, why is there?
- 34:32Why are there six holes? So you got to be out of your
- 34:36mind. You don't.
- 34:39We going to. We're going to.
- 34:40We're going to burn this bridge when we get there.
- 34:41OK, We'll figure it out. All right.
- 34:43Well, you do with it what you will.
- 34:46So we're going to punch all the fucking.
- 34:49Holes. Yeah, it's a, you know, it took
- 34:52me a whole day to print everything out and I kind of
- 34:54colored it all. You know, it's it's very cute
- 34:56because you can color on it and it's adorable and actually has
- 34:58these very, very nice markers. Oh, OK, OK.
- 35:02It's like a woo Hoo or something like that.
- 35:04I'm not even. Legit I was like, I thought you
- 35:06were woo hooing because they were so nice.
- 35:08No. No.
- 35:09Do you see it's like? Oh Hoo Hoo.
- 35:11Oh yeah, literally. Oh Hoo Hoo.
- 35:14OK. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:16Art markers, yes, yeah. So you've probably seen like
- 35:18the, what is it not Prisma or whatever the fuck.
- 35:23You've seen those, you have the Michaels and they got all them
- 35:25really fancy fucking markers and it's like $16,000,000 for one
- 35:28fucking marker. Yes, yeah, they're like that.
- 35:31But it's like you can get like a set.
- 35:33They're cheaper than that and they're better.
- 35:35And they came out with these really nice sets.
- 35:37So actually got those for Christmas like a few years ago
- 35:40or whatever. So she let you color with her
- 35:42special markers? She did.
- 35:43She was like you. Could use them I.
- 35:45Just don't want our nephews to use them.
- 35:48Yeah, 100%. Those are 100.
- 35:50Percent. Maybe when they're much older,
- 35:52Much older. Yeah, well, she used them for
- 35:54like you Remember, Remember she did that little the Audrey too.
- 36:00Yeah, those are those kind of markers.
- 36:02Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:02They kind of blend really well and they're.
- 36:04Pretty they are actually excellent.
- 36:06Yep, so. Well, very cool, yeah.
- 36:08So, yeah, sorry about the six holes, but what are you gonna
- 36:11do? What are you gonna do?
- 36:12What are you gonna do? You know, I've got things like
- 36:19just being like more trying to be more accountable, you know,
- 36:22make sure I'm taking my medicine every.
- 36:23Day OK. And that's a good one.
- 36:25That's a good one. And taking actually taking good
- 36:27care of yourself. Yeah, mine is like more sleep.
- 36:30I need more sleep and I've got to find a way to to get that I'm
- 36:35not. Going to, I'm not going to
- 36:37because I've been off the last two weeks and I go tomorrow.
- 36:41I go back to work for the first time in a while and I'm, I'm not
- 36:46prepared. I've been, I've been staying up
- 36:49late. Oh, yeah.
- 36:51You know, I'm like, I, I don't know.
- 36:53I'm an early riser. You are.
- 36:55You've always been the I'm also a bit of a night owl.
- 36:57And I'm a night. Owl.
- 36:58I don't, I know. Well, it's like I've got Dad's
- 37:03an early bird and you're an you're the night owl, night owl.
- 37:06And I've somehow inherited both. So I stay up till I'll stay up
- 37:10till 2:00 AM and then get up at like 7.
- 37:12They're still up too early. I'm too tired.
- 37:14Oh. That's a both tired that's a
- 37:16massive boring. Call me Michael, I'm too tired.
- 37:21Boom. Boom.
- 37:23Oh my gosh. Well, OK, well, we got to make
- 37:26it a priority. We got to take care of ourselves
- 37:28in the in this coming, not coming here.
- 37:30The year we're in, the year we're already here, we're here.
- 37:32God damn it against against our better.
- 37:37Judgment. We couldn't stop it from coming.
- 37:40We moved to the 20. What is the Grinch?
- 37:43He couldn't stop Christmas from coming.
- 37:45Speaking of the Grinch, did I tell you about this?
- 37:49I Jim Carrey plays in one of the Grinch movies and he put has to
- 37:53put on this horrific, you know, Grinch outfit that he it's
- 37:57actually very good Grinch outfit.
- 37:59He looks, I think, I think he looks like the Grinch.
- 38:02Walmart recently did these Grinch commercials where they
- 38:04had some dude play the Grinch and but he still had black hair
- 38:07and it was awful. It was terrible.
- 38:09And I hated the commercials so, so, so much that I'm like, I'm
- 38:12not going to Walmart. Fuck you anyway.
- 38:14So for that reason, for that reason and only that, the Grinch
- 38:17doesn't have black hair anyway. So.
- 38:20Duke Carey has to put on this suit.
- 38:22This makeup and it's hours and hours and it's just awful.
- 38:26And he said it literally made him crazy.
- 38:27He put it on one time, went to the producer, the director,
- 38:30whoever and said I can't do it. He was going to leave it.
- 38:33He was going he's a good to find somebody else.
- 38:35And they're like, no, no, no, we really, really, really want you
- 38:38for this part. And and if you know, I think
- 38:40people have a love hate relationship with Jim Carrey,
- 38:42with you the love or you hate him.
- 38:43I don't know. I love him.
- 38:44We, we've, we've been, we've started watching when years ago
- 38:47when he was on the living color, we found him hilarious.
- 38:48And so I, I typically like, I don't like everything, every
- 38:51movie he's been in, but I like, yeah, most of the stuff he's
- 38:54done. Well, he as a person is a little
- 38:55eccentric and what not, but you know what a you know.
- 38:58But I actually think he's a very good, very good actor.
- 39:00And I thought I we like this, the movie, but they went and got
- 39:06a gentleman to come and work with him who worked with Navy
- 39:11Seals to help them deal with physical torture and mental
- 39:17torture. Oh, OK.
- 39:18And that's how he got it's insane partly how he got through
- 39:21it because whenever he's like, whenever you feel like you're
- 39:24losing it, one of the tricks is you pound your fist on your leg
- 39:29and that helps you like brings you ground you or something
- 39:32brings you back. Don't you don't have a panic
- 39:33attack. And so it's like you see me get
- 39:35doing like in this one part and he's.
- 39:37Pitting his leg with his. Fist and he literally had to
- 39:42work with a torture expert to get through this movie.
- 39:45Wow. First of all, second thing he
- 39:48said I found hilarious actually was while he's in the makeup
- 39:53chair, OK and getting hours of putting on this, all of this,
- 39:58the masks and prosthetics and you know, all of this stuff,
- 40:01contacts and everything. The only thing that got him
- 40:04through it was the Bee Gees. The Bee Gees.
- 40:08Shit you not, I had to tell my mom that because my mom loves
- 40:11the Bee Gees. I.
- 40:12Wasn't there for this. I told my mom that's why I was
- 40:14like, were you in the room and I told you this?
- 40:15I don't think you were there. He'd literally said the only
- 40:19thing that got him through was the Bee Gees.
- 40:20He doesn't know why. He has no idea why, but he had.
- 40:24They had to put on the Bee Gees music.
- 40:27So it kept him calm. Every time he got into this cut
- 40:30this this makeup so. Funny, isn't it hilarious?
- 40:33He's like. I'm not some kind of massive.
- 40:36Bee. Gees, but that worked.
- 40:39I he's to the say, he says. He has no idea why I.
- 40:42I find it so funny that I we were over.
- 40:45At mom paws, maybe it was last year Christmas or something like
- 40:48that, who knows? We're over there often and you
- 40:50know, I think we asked, you know, Mama what her, her
- 40:52favorite song because they, they have one year.
- 40:55OK, I know how it got started. One year for her birthday.
- 40:57I, I, she's, I asked her what she wanted for her birthday
- 41:00because she's impossible to shop for because she needs nothing
- 41:03and rarely wants anything. And she actually told me what
- 41:07she wanted. She wanted.
- 41:09She loves the Bee Gees. Let's put it out, Nick.
- 41:11OK, she wanted. The ADVD of the Bee Gees
- 41:15concert, there's actually multiple that you can purchase
- 41:18on Amazon and so I found a couple and I got them for her
- 41:22birthday and now Amazon friggin suggests the Bee Gees to.
- 41:26Me, all the time, all the time, and I don't appreciate it.
- 41:30Amazon. That was for my mother.
- 41:34Anyway, so my mom and dad both love the Bee Gees and they both
- 41:38love these DVDs. And we were sitting in the
- 41:40dining room talking, visiting whatever.
- 41:43We play games. My dad is in the we call it this
- 41:47is the store I was going to. We call it the front room where
- 41:49you come in the door and he puts on the Bee Gees concert and it
- 41:53is massively loud because he can't hear.
- 41:55So it's blaring. The Bee Gees are blaring.
- 41:57It is. Throughout the house.
- 41:58It's really like maximum volume. Maximum volume.
- 42:02He's sitting in front of the TV, Yeah.
- 42:05He's. 5 feet. 5 feet. Even more no.
- 42:08Away from the TVI. It's right there.
- 42:10He's right there. And we're like, what?
- 42:13In the house? Of course we're all singing the
- 42:14BG, but my but we asked momma, you're right.
- 42:16We what's your favorite Bee Gees song?
- 42:19What'd you say? Massachusetts out of the blue.
- 42:21Massachusetts, I mean, and, but no hesitation, no.
- 42:24Hesitation. Massachusetts.
- 42:24She knew it, that was. And but the best part was she
- 42:27because. One of I think Liv said, well, I
- 42:29thought your favorite was Johnny Mathis and she goes and she
- 42:32says. I can't even say that.
- 42:36She says I like Johnny Mathis, but I am the Bee Gees.
- 42:40I. Am but I.
- 42:44Laughed so hard. We're like I am the Bee Gees.
- 42:47Of course my poor mother, my poor mother is not, not exempt
- 42:52from being ripped on because we're all like, you are the Bee
- 42:55Gees. Legit who knew?
- 42:57No way to give her so much. She's like, I meant I love the
- 43:00Bee Gees and we're like, Nope, you are the Bee Gees now.
- 43:05But the amount of times that the Bee Gees have come up in the
- 43:07last year for me specifically has just been such a weird
- 43:12coincidence. And it's not like, I don't know,
- 43:14Like, I mean, the when we asked her what her favorite song was,
- 43:17I think was maybe a year ago at Christmas.
- 43:19And then this past Thanksgiving or whatever we were over there
- 43:22for is when the paw has been answered on.
- 43:25So yeah, he's got. We're all, we actually all go in
- 43:28there. We all started singing along.
- 43:29Because what are you going to do, right?
- 43:30I came over because I think it was that it was the same day as
- 43:34like the, the Ashley's families. And so I came over a little bit
- 43:38later or whatever and I'm sitting in the other room and I
- 43:41think you were in there with me and I'm eating my like, Turkey.
- 43:45And I'm like, why are we watching the fucking beaches
- 43:48right now? Like I'm like, I'm going deaf
- 43:52because it's so loud. My dad.
- 43:54My dad loves to visit with us more one-on-one or a handful of
- 43:57us at a time when we're all there and it's super duper loud.
- 44:02It's just almost like a little overwhelmed.
- 44:04Yeah. And so then he goes into the
- 44:05room and blares the TV. And he's like, shit the fuck
- 44:08out. So because when the night that
- 44:11was your birthday and you all want you, the cousins all came
- 44:13over here and just like my siblings were at the house, he
- 44:17came to the room and then we we visited.
- 44:20He played past trash with it. Like he was fine then because it
- 44:22was much, it was much much. So when the cast ensues, it's
- 44:27like almost too much, right? But anyway, I got a couple
- 44:30things I got to tell you. OK.
- 44:33I don't know if you know this, but I heard this and I was
- 44:36shocked. I had never heard this before.
- 44:38Do you know what did? You know.
- 44:45What that the guards at London Tower?
- 44:49Do you know what their nickname is?
- 44:51The specifically the guards at London Tower.
- 44:54Their nickname? They are called the Beefeaters.
- 44:59I kid you not. This is legit.
- 45:03I was like, damn, we got to, we got to somehow let them know
- 45:05about the pot. Like what bee?
- 45:07Feeders know about serious beans.
- 45:09This is this is what they are dressed like.
- 45:12We'll post a pic. Man, does he look great.
- 45:14He's super happy too. Look at these uniforms.
- 45:17The bee super over the top. They're not the dudes with the
- 45:19tall fluffy hat, the black hats at Buckingham Palace.
- 45:22These are the the guides at Bee Feeders at the Tower of London.
- 45:26Unbelievable. And they're like, why?
- 45:28They're actually called Yeoman Warders.
- 45:31Yeoman Yeoman, but they're known as beef eaters.
- 45:34And I'm like what? Why would they ever be called?
- 45:37That the, the the the story is unconfirmed, unclear.
- 45:41It's too old. They can't really say why they
- 45:44can they? They're guessing it's because
- 45:46they were sometimes paid in beef.
- 45:49I see. Did you know that?
- 45:53No. I had never, never heard that
- 45:58they protect the jewels, the crown jewels actually, but.
- 46:03Well, they didn't predict anything because they stole
- 46:05those. Notions.
- 46:06They were given large beef rations by the Monarch for their
- 46:11work. I'm dead.
- 46:13I I was crying. No, I'm not listening to you at
- 46:16all. What did you say?
- 46:16I see you go. They protect the crown jewels I
- 46:18go they protect shit because I saw in Oceans 8 they stole them.
- 46:21They. Stole them.
- 46:24I saw Oceans 8 spoiler for Oceans 8.
- 46:26I'm educated. Spoiler for Oceans 8, I'm dead.
- 46:29But you can go there and actually get they give tours and
- 46:32you can see the you have to go someday.
- 46:35Put it on the bucket list. On the bucket.
- 46:37List. I'm dead.
- 46:38I had no idea. That cracked me up so much I
- 46:40thought it was awesome. I've been sitting on that to
- 46:42tell you all about the Beefeaters at the London Tower.
- 46:45That's excellent. So now you know, now you know,
- 46:47if anybody asks you what does the nickname of the guards at
- 46:50London Tower, you all know it's the Beefeaters.
- 46:53The Beefeaters. Beefeaters.
- 46:55OK, that's what is that what our?
- 46:57Is that our? Legion should be called legit.
- 47:00I don't. I don't know if they want to be
- 47:01called that. We'll have to think about that.
- 47:03That's a good one. You're the beef listener.
- 47:05It's not the beef. Then I then I saw another thing
- 47:08that I actually saw this this morning and I found it
- 47:12interesting so I had to do a deep dive.
- 47:14What does the T stand for in T-shirt?
- 47:18Tally Wacker. No, you would be wrong.
- 47:23I personally think it's Tyrannosaurus because do you see
- 47:26how short those arms are? Well, and it is a, it has a
- 47:29hyphen and the only other word that I know that's T apostrophe
- 47:31something is Tyrannosaurus. It's UX, so Tyrannosaurus shirt
- 47:36makes sense. Right.
- 47:36Well, I mean. Checks out.
- 47:38Those arms are so short. That goes with that saying, so
- 47:40it's basically a long sleeve shirt for AT.
- 47:42Rex, it is. It is.
- 47:44I thought that was hilarious, but so then I had to look it up.
- 47:48What? Does it actually what does it?
- 47:49What does it really stand for? Google says it's literally
- 47:54because of the shape, but in my mind.
- 47:58All shirts are Tees. Well, no.
- 48:01What if it was? What if it was sleeveless?
- 48:04Then it's more of a. No, it's true.
- 48:06Or an eye. An eye?
- 48:08Yeah, it's an eye shirt, just a rectangle shirt.
- 48:11But most shirts look at put your arms out.
- 48:14They're Tees. So I'm like, what?
- 48:18But they're like, that's just, it's the shape.
- 48:20But then there was another theory that in the military, a
- 48:25T-shirt was originally in just a basic undershirt.
- 48:28You didn't wear that as outerwear.
- 48:31That was an undershirt. And it wasn't worn as outerwear
- 48:34until like, Marlon Brando and a couple of actors like that,
- 48:37that, you know. Wore it.
- 48:39Hey, thanks, Marlon Brando, because I live.
- 48:41In T-shirts, yeah, the, the cool dudes from Hollywood who wore it
- 48:45as, as just a shirt appreciate that, you know, movies and
- 48:49different things. And then it became cool to wear
- 48:51it, you know, and so. But then the military, they had
- 48:55issued, you know, they were issued white, called under white
- 48:59undershirts. And but then they did their
- 49:02training just in those white shirts.
- 49:04And so they called them like training shirts, training
- 49:07shirts. And so the theory is maybe then
- 49:11it got shortened to go get in your T-shirt because that meant
- 49:14training. Who knows?
- 49:15Who knows? Who knows?
- 49:17They can't confirm or deny, but. The presence of a human child
- 49:21here tonight. That's in monsters, the guys.
- 49:29We cannot confirm nor deny the presence of a young child here.
- 49:33Deny. We can deny.
- 49:34There are no human children here tonight.
- 49:36That's very true. You're killing me.
- 49:37There's just puppy children. So I thought that was pretty
- 49:39interesting. And I definitely still think
- 49:41it's Tyrannosaurus because of the short arms.
- 49:44I was going to ask you. OK, go for it.
- 49:45This is unrelated to what we're talking about, but we're I know
- 49:48that we're going to get close on time.
- 49:50So I want to tell you we watched what I many people watched on
- 49:57New Year's Eve. Oh yeah, Stranger Things.
- 49:59The conclusion of Stranger Things we will not give any.
- 50:02Spoilers here. We will try not to.
- 50:04I'm going to do my damnedest. If you've never watched it, if
- 50:07you've never watched Stranger Things, it, There are now five
- 50:11seasons. The final final season is now
- 50:14out we've watched it from the beginning and have been
- 50:18anxiously awaiting this final season because the series this
- 50:21ends the series yes, there supposedly are spin offs.
- 50:25So if you are, that's what I if you like it a lot.
- 50:27We we think there are spin offs coming.
- 50:28But anyway, we didn't finally we had wrapped it up.
- 50:32Yeah, so. You guys finally watched it?
- 50:34We watched on New Year's Eve. I thought it was really good.
- 50:37I thought it was really good. Yeah, I, I think I told Ash that
- 50:43if you didn't like the ending of Stranger Things, that there
- 50:50really wasn't anything that was probably going to make you
- 50:53happy. Legit, this is this.
- 50:56Now, listen, if you don't, if you now, OK, because this Diet
- 50:59Coke has come back to bite me. So I've got to, I've got to
- 51:01clarify. If you didn't like the ending of
- 51:04Stranger Things, that's fine. My theory is that there is no
- 51:10ending that would have satisfied you.
- 51:11Because I think that the ending that it had had was about it was
- 51:18the closest to a solid, cohesive perfect.
- 51:22Satisfying ending. Absolutely satisfying.
- 51:25It's the way, in my mind it had to end.
- 51:30I wanted it to end personally. Yeah, I was happy with the
- 51:36ending. And I think if you if you're
- 51:38unhappy with that ending, I think maybe you just didn't want
- 51:41it to end even. And that's.
- 51:43And because that's hard, right? If you have a show that you
- 51:45really, really like, it's really hard for it to end.
- 51:48And most people that not most people, but some people who
- 51:52true. And I think actually all of us,
- 51:53we really, really love a show when it ends that you're left
- 51:57with a little bit of heartache because it's like, no, I don't
- 52:00want it to end. So.
- 52:03And you just have to hope that it ends.
- 52:05Yeah, the best way it can. And I think this did.
- 52:08I I think it did. It's you know, of course it's
- 52:11the ending is the show being a, you know, sci-fi horror adjacent
- 52:18kind of fantasy fantasy, yeah, show it is.
- 52:23You know, most movies, books, things like that, those things
- 52:29don't tend to end perfect. Everyone is happy happily.
- 52:33Don't don't you know, I mean, if you're watching, so if you think
- 52:38about think about Harry Potter, like the characters that died
- 52:41that you're like, no, I didn't want any any one of the Weasley
- 52:44twins to die. Like, sorry if you haven't read
- 52:46Harry Potter, but you know, sorry, it's been out for a
- 52:48million years, right? But.
- 52:49But we're like, if you, if you're watching any horror
- 52:52movie, if you're watching Alien, it's like, I really, I know if
- 52:55I'm watching Alien, everyone's gonna die.
- 52:57And I really just need Sigourney Weaver to get through WE.
- 52:59Just seen her. And the cat maybe legit and and
- 53:02and so it's like at the end of that would you call would even
- 53:06though Sigourney Weaver triumphs since she defeats the alien,
- 53:09would you call that like a happily ever after of?
- 53:10Course not, no. No.
- 53:12And so I think that that's kind of where it falls is that it
- 53:15could never have a oh, happily ever after.
- 53:17Everybody's hunky. Dory if you've ever watched the
- 53:19show for one this the the main characters of this show have
- 53:24been through so much. Crap so much.
- 53:27In their lives that as children, cuz, of course, as children.
- 53:31And now they're I think they're now graduating from high school
- 53:34being the main characters. Yeah.
- 53:36They're now adults, yeah, basically.
- 53:39But their parents too. It's like they've just been
- 53:41through so much crap in the last how many years?
- 53:45It just goes on at least five. I know that it goes goes.
- 53:48Oh, well, there's like a junior time jump in that last season.
- 53:50Yeah. So it's like a lot, a lot.
- 53:52It's a lot. And it's like there's no happy
- 53:55ever after. No, no.
- 53:57For some of those for every single one of these characters,
- 54:00you're gonna carry some of those things with you for the rest of
- 54:02your life. And so you have we have.
- 54:03My hope was just that, just don't kill them all off.
- 54:07Right, right. You try to hope that like these
- 54:10characters have gone through so much that they.
- 54:13They at least get a chance, maybe at a.
- 54:16At a normal. Line or just, you know, anything
- 54:18but I loved it. I thought it was great.
- 54:20I thought the season was great. I loved it.
- 54:22I loved. It very much.
- 54:24We've been, we literally finished it and we were like,
- 54:27damn, that was a good show. And we're like, you gonna watch
- 54:32it again? I wish I had binged or at some
- 54:35point started watching season 1 through 4 before this.
- 54:39Yes, I wish I would have, but we Liv end up pulling up on YouTube
- 54:45a kind of a recap video, which was really helpful because I'm
- 54:49like, man, I don't know if I'm going to remember anything.
- 54:51It's been a while, you know, since from the last season to
- 54:53this season. And then again, there's four
- 54:55previous seasons and they, you know, seasons aren't like what
- 54:58they used to be when I was a kid, you know, they, they don't
- 55:00come out in succession, you know, right away kind of thing.
- 55:03There's some gaps. And so I was like, how am I
- 55:05going to remember things? So she actually found this
- 55:07video. She's like, do you guys want to
- 55:09watch this before we start? And Sam goes now let's just
- 55:12swing and I go, yes, please. And so.
- 55:14We. Put it on and it was very
- 55:15helpful because it literally just kind of did a quick
- 55:19summation or recap of like the seasons.
- 55:22And caught us up and I was like, perfect, I'm ready.
- 55:25So yeah. But I did kind of want to watch
- 55:27the season. And I was like, Sam, I was like,
- 55:29fuck it, I'll wing it. Ashley watched Season 3 and 4
- 55:32going in and she's like, that's probably all I need.
- 55:35OK, so you've been watching like 1/2?
- 55:37I so when we finished five, we literally went round round the
- 55:42horn and started season 1. And so I've been, I've been
- 55:46rewatching Ashley as well cuz she's been forced to be in the
- 55:50room. We've been re watching and we're
- 55:54we're about halfway through season.
- 55:55Four. OK.
- 55:56OK. So you're moving.
- 55:57So yeah, we're in, we're chugging and hopefully we can
- 56:01maybe finish, yeah, maybe we can finish Season 4 today and then I
- 56:05can go back to work and wallow in self pity and then when I
- 56:08come home, watch. You can watch the season again.
- 56:12You can watch season 5. Again, but with more context now
- 56:14because I know what's. Going on, I thought it was
- 56:16great. If you've never watched a show,
- 56:18I think it's I think it's good. There's some some jump scares
- 56:24that they get you. If you don't like, if you're
- 56:26like, I cannot handle and I don't.
- 56:28I actually don't like horror movies at all.
- 56:31I don't like gory stuff. The Demogorgans are do kind of
- 56:35kill some people, and there were a few that I literally screamed
- 56:38at. We know Demogorgans are going to
- 56:40kill people. It's not a spoiler.
- 56:42There's monsters. They kill red shirts, you know,
- 56:44they kill the, the, the, the military dudes that we don't
- 56:47care about. So it's all good, but there were
- 56:50a couple that were really gross and we literally at 1.1 was 1
- 56:54was so bad that I literally was like, Oh my God.
- 56:56It was like like screaming. So there's a little bit.
- 57:01There was one point after that dude got killed, I literally
- 57:03went to Switerville and hid my eyes behind my sweater.
- 57:06And I was like, tell me when they're done killing everybody.
- 57:09And then I came back. So it was.
- 57:11You know, there's, there's definitely a little bit, but
- 57:13it's sometimes it's not through the whole thing.
- 57:16It's not too super gross. I've watched worse.
- 57:20Cuz I don't normally like the gross stuff it does.
- 57:22There are I have every day I or every day we've been watching
- 57:27this, I'm like, I need to like turn this off at like 1111 and
- 57:36put on something like. And happier, happy, right?
- 57:40Funny cuz I'm not gonna be asleep, Yeah.
- 57:42And we did that. I mostly failed to that
- 57:47entirely. I did that last night.
- 57:50We put on the Kunk on Earth or whatever show that we told you
- 57:53that that's kind of goofy and didn't help.
- 57:58I'm still, I'm still spooked. This this show did not spook me,
- 58:05didn't give me nightmares because again, it's very, very
- 58:07high fantasy sci-fi. Yeah.
- 58:09It's not one of those where like this is super realistic and I
- 58:12have to worry about this happening.
- 58:13So I'm, I'm chill, I'm cool with it.
- 58:16I we, we binged there are 8 episodes in season 5, but
- 58:22they're long. Yeah.
- 58:23And we binged New Year's Day one through 7.
- 58:29We finished we were going to stop after six and we needed to
- 58:34know there was a cliffhanger. They left us on a big, big
- 58:38cliffhanger. And we all.
- 58:39Looked at each other. We went, we all had to work the
- 58:41next Sam and Liv and I all had to work the next day and we were
- 58:43like screw it, start the next episode.
- 58:45The. Next episode's like probably an
- 58:47hour. And a half, it's quite long.
- 58:48And so it was one in the morning before we finished it.
- 58:51And we were, we literally, we hesitated again, looked at each
- 58:55other and went, do we finish it? We're like, no, we can't.
- 58:58It's two hours. The next episode, the next
- 59:00episode, 2 hours long. There's a full 2 hours long.
- 59:02We were like up till three. We would have been up three in
- 59:03the morning and then had to get up at like 6.
- 59:05Didn't go to work. So I was like, no, no, no, no,
- 59:06my phone. We've been doing it at 3:00 AM
- 59:08because you were like, I'm just staying up this point and you're
- 59:09going to call me. Yep.
- 59:10Got to talk to me about stranger.
- 59:11Things we were like, we can't do it, we can't do it, OK, so we go
- 59:14to bed. And I'm like, like, I'm gonna
- 59:16sleep because I'm stressed, right?
- 59:19It was, it was, it was causing me the stress of who's gonna
- 59:23make it? Are they gonna die?
- 59:24Are they gonna survive? Are they gonna, the good guy's
- 59:25gonna win kind of thing. And so that's that's why I
- 59:28didn't sleep, because it was stressing out.
- 59:30There's parts in it. That are kind of like
- 59:34disturbing. I think it's less of like a jump
- 59:37scare and more of like, oh, that's kind of gruesome or
- 59:40whatever. And those things like bother me,
- 59:43like they still like, I hate that.
- 59:45Right. For sure.
- 59:46And I'll maybe cut out the what I'm going to say in Season 4.
- 59:49Yeah. And that way.
- 59:51And we like, I have to agree with you.
- 59:53The stuff that's disturbing. Yeah, will bother me much more.
- 59:56That will keep me up. Yeah.
- 59:58And, and I remember watching. Absolutely agree when we put on
- 1:00:02God, was that a year, two years ago when Season 4 came out?
- 1:00:05Because it's been a while. It's been a long time.
- 1:00:06Been a while. We put that on.
- 1:00:09Yeah, we were screaming. Well Ash and I watched it first,
- 1:00:11then we watched it with you guys and cuz I was like OK you had.
- 1:00:14Given me a little bit of a warning.
- 1:00:16Yourself, yeah, but we put that on and nothing could.
- 1:00:19Preparedness. We.
- 1:00:20Were well, cuz nothing, nothing that gruesome Mcgorry had ever
- 1:00:25happened on Cam on camera before, correct?
- 1:00:28It's like somebody died. It was mostly off screen or
- 1:00:31assumed or whatever you kind of thing.
- 1:00:33And it was like, that was bad. It was bad.
- 1:00:35That was bad. We all screamed.
- 1:00:37We were scared us. It was gross.
- 1:00:39We were just. It was more disturbing than
- 1:00:41gross even. Yeah, Yeah, we would have to
- 1:00:43say. We watched that.
- 1:00:44I can cuz I can vividly remember.
- 1:00:46It comes out, Ash and I are sitting on the couch watching
- 1:00:48this. We watched the first episode and
- 1:00:50it's late. Like that episode ends and it
- 1:00:52was like maybe 910 o'clock or something like that and we're
- 1:00:54like, Nope. Nope.
- 1:00:56Nope, Nope. We gotta we gotta put something
- 1:00:59else on and we will come back to this in the morning because that
- 1:01:02was that was. Rough, I totally get that.
- 1:01:04I totally believe that. But I'm the same way with like
- 1:01:07even like if you put on like I have a really, really hard time
- 1:01:10watching like mafia movies. Yes, we've talked about this
- 1:01:13that I hate. Can't I can't do it.
- 1:01:15I don't like too disturbing. The things they do in those
- 1:01:18movies are just I'm not saying you can't do disturbing things
- 1:01:21so upsetting. I'm just saying do them off
- 1:01:23camera. They're just the truth.
- 1:01:24Well, or I'm I'm sorry. I'm just not going to watch
- 1:01:26because they're just not for me. Like, you know, I think I your
- 1:01:29dad likes like kind of those shoot them up.
- 1:01:32Kind of, yeah, some of them I can tolerate.
- 1:01:35I can do a John Wick. It's very unrealistic.
- 1:01:36That's just not gonna happen. But the mob movie's like, Oh my
- 1:01:40God, no mob movie. That messes with me so much cuz
- 1:01:42I'm like, yeah that shit could be real and I don't like it.
- 1:01:45It's the, it's the movies that like anytime, it doesn't even
- 1:01:48have to be like, you know, movie theatre, whatever.
- 1:01:51Obviously it's like if someone's gonna die a terrible death,
- 1:01:55right in a horror movie or whatever, and they know and they
- 1:01:58can't do anything and they're just like they're screaming.
- 1:02:01I hate that. I hate it so much when people
- 1:02:03die like they weren't expecting like listen, that's how I wanna
- 1:02:06go. If I have to die in one of these
- 1:02:08movies, like clean, I know, right?
- 1:02:11Don't I hate the build up, the waiting?
- 1:02:14No, Yep, just. Or it's a or it's a slow, right?
- 1:02:18Back is turned and then and then get me finish it.
- 1:02:23Yeah. In one go yeah, you know,
- 1:02:25agreed. Shoot me into the vacuum of
- 1:02:27space. It's like instantaneous.
- 1:02:28It's. True.
- 1:02:29It's pretty fast. It's pretty fast, right?
- 1:02:30So I'm like I but don't. Or you could just leave.
- 1:02:32Me the fuck alone and let me die in my sleep.
- 1:02:34You. Know I'm OK with that, right?
- 1:02:35I'm like don't. Slowly feed me into a wood
- 1:02:37chipper. Oh God, no, no, that'd be
- 1:02:38terrible. That would be terrible.
- 1:02:40That would be terrible. At least go put me face first so
- 1:02:42I die right away. But.
- 1:02:43Well, I don't. I think that I would still be I.
- 1:02:47It's still terrible and I don't want to go through that it.
- 1:02:49Would it's too long? Yeah, it's.
- 1:02:50Too long. Still too long.
- 1:02:52I agree totally. Agree, my hair and I don't
- 1:02:54appreciate that. Oh.
- 1:02:55I just don't pull. Your hair and I don't, right?
- 1:02:58That's the worst thing that's gonna happen.
- 1:02:59That's. The worst thing that's gonna
- 1:03:00happen to you, it's gonna be tangled fucking mess.
- 1:03:02I know. OK, OK, OK.
- 1:03:05I got it on this note of of dying.
- 1:03:10I heard this story this morning. That there are an outburst of
- 1:03:15toxic mushrooms growing in California.
- 1:03:18So you're safe, it's in California, and just don't go
- 1:03:21foraging. First of all, an outburst.
- 1:03:24Like a what do you call it? I don't like a massive growth of
- 1:03:28these things and at a weird time of the year, OK, and these these
- 1:03:32toxic fungi are growing and. Some motherfucker took a hike.
- 1:03:36And people went on a fucking hike.
- 1:03:39That's what I said. Don't go foraging.
- 1:03:41We gotta go to the city. You're like, we gotta go to the
- 1:03:43city. There ain't no mushrooms.
- 1:03:44This one some motherfucker went. On a hike that's always gonna be
- 1:03:48your downfall. Don't hike.
- 1:03:49Some dumbasses gonna go on a hike.
- 1:03:51Don't hike. These dumbasses.
- 1:03:52Went on a hike, went foraging, got the mushrooms.
- 1:03:54Two people needed liver transplants.
- 1:03:57It almost killed them. And it's not like there's a lot
- 1:04:00of livers lying around here, so you know.
- 1:04:03Don't go eating mushrooms. I'm like.
- 1:04:08Two people had to have liver transplants.
- 1:04:10Damn, where you They got lucky. They found the liver, you know,
- 1:04:12because that ain't going to happen before the average
- 1:04:14person. No SO.
- 1:04:16That liver is pretty necessary. Pretty necessary.
- 1:04:19Can't live without it. Pretty necessary.
- 1:04:20This this guy on the news is talking about this story and
- 1:04:22you're like this, this massive growth of these toxic fungi in
- 1:04:27in California and they're like, there's only like about 1% of
- 1:04:30mushrooms that are toxic that will kill you.
- 1:04:32Really. Yes, wow.
- 1:04:34There's also only about 10% that are edible.
- 1:04:37So leave them alone basically, if you don't know what the fuck
- 1:04:39you're doing. But they'd start talking about
- 1:04:42this one mushroom called the death cap.
- 1:04:47She's nodded. I literally am by myself in my
- 1:04:50room watching the news and I look at the TV and I go, well
- 1:04:52that doesn't sound like a very fun guy.
- 1:04:56No one was in the room to. Appreciate my humor, Ashley
- 1:04:59laughed. Thank you, Ashley.
- 1:05:00I'm looking around, going, damn it.
- 1:05:02No one here. No one here.
- 1:05:04That was hilarious. I'm cracking myself up.
- 1:05:07Don't eat death caps. They will kill you.
- 1:05:09I don't know what these mushrooms are.
- 1:05:10They're growing. They didn't say.
- 1:05:12But don't go to California. Don't go foraging.
- 1:05:15Don't go on a freaking hike. Don't go on a freaking hike.
- 1:05:19Because you're gonna have to get a new liver, and there's not
- 1:05:21very many. I had to look up a statistic
- 1:05:23because you just gave me a statistic that I found
- 1:05:25interesting. OK, you're talking about the
- 1:05:27mushrooms. Whatever.
- 1:05:28I read this book. I think look at.
- 1:05:33Them look it up. I guess we're gonna use Google
- 1:05:36even though we're mad at them. The book is called A Good Girl's
- 1:05:39Guide to Murder. OK, I told you about this book.
- 1:05:41OK, I can. I can vividly remember sitting
- 1:05:44at Mont pause and being like, all right, sit down.
- 1:05:47I'm like, I'm gonna explain this to.
- 1:05:48You I'm gonna give me a book report.
- 1:05:50I did and I gave you everything you did so that because I then
- 1:05:53was gonna have to go back because I hadn't finished it so
- 1:05:56I didn't So like this is what I think happened.
- 1:05:59OK, I was wrong, but OK. But they've actually made a a
- 1:06:03show. I think about this I'm I'm to
- 1:06:06find out if. This.
- 1:06:07Check it out. Yeah.
- 1:06:07But in that book they give a statistic that I was like,
- 1:06:11really, I looked it up, confirmed they were as correct.
- 1:06:16They say that there's of all the missing persons cases, only 1%
- 1:06:23go. Unsolved.
- 1:06:25Go unsolved. That's actually pretty.
- 1:06:27Good that you don't it's you know 99% of missing persons are
- 1:06:33located now whether that is doesn't.
- 1:06:35Necessarily mean it's happy. Yes.
- 1:06:37Yes. You know, alive or dead, but
- 1:06:39only roughly 1%. I'll go completely unsolved that
- 1:06:43they're like they are gone. We don't know where they are.
- 1:06:46We can't find nothing. Wow.
- 1:06:48Well. And I was like.
- 1:06:51Really, it seems like you know, when you hear about it, it seems
- 1:06:53like it would be more but. Solve mysteries.
- 1:06:55Yeah, there's a lot of mysteries unsolved right now.
- 1:06:58These are These are talking about missing persons and not
- 1:07:01necessarily murderers that are. Unsolved.
- 1:07:03And that's true. So, but I was like only 1%.
- 1:07:07That's pretty. Good.
- 1:07:08That seems pretty. That seems pretty darn good.
- 1:07:09Good, right? And that's you in the US,
- 1:07:13obviously, certainly. But I was like, you know, you're
- 1:07:17talking, you know, 10s of thousands reports.
- 1:07:22Every year, yeah. And sometimes it's, it's not
- 1:07:24necessarily, you know, a murder or whatever.
- 1:07:27It's more some, a lot of missing persons are somebody literally
- 1:07:30took their kid, yeah, in a custody battle or whatever.
- 1:07:34Runaways, Runaways or yeah, there there's other things that
- 1:07:38are happening that. Right, so or even just like a
- 1:07:41hey, I haven't seen so and so can you go do a Wellness check,
- 1:07:44you know, or whatever? Yes, but but still the idea that
- 1:07:48like 1% are that's pretty good, are just never solved is yeah,
- 1:07:54pretty good. Yeah, How bad?
- 1:07:56I know. All right, well, you got
- 1:07:59anything else? Cover everything.
- 1:08:01I'll tell you one thing with the Christmas gifts we have this
- 1:08:06Spiderman that we. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:09That we take this little Spiderman because he's like got
- 1:08:13all of his fingers move and he's very posable and whatnot.
- 1:08:17And we've taken him many places and photographed him and yadda
- 1:08:20yadda. And to take him more places this
- 1:08:22year, I think, yes, yeah, that's definitely New Year's
- 1:08:25resolution. New Year's resolution.
- 1:08:26We got to get Spidey out. Absolutely.
- 1:08:28Because he's been in storage, folks.
- 1:08:29Yeah. He was in storage for a while.
- 1:08:32And I knew that Sam had found him this past year.
- 1:08:35And so I was like, she's going to wrap him up and give him to
- 1:08:38me. Because if I know my sister, I
- 1:08:40know exactly what she's going to do with this.
- 1:08:42She's the same fucking joke every time she gets him.
- 1:08:44I try to hide him. I try to do something new with.
- 1:08:45Him she does the same. Goddamn joke.
- 1:08:47Every year. Not every year, but So I decide
- 1:08:52I'm going to beat her to the punch.
- 1:08:53OK, I had gotten this spider man.
- 1:08:57A different Spider man, if you will.
- 1:08:58We have gotten it for you for Christmas one year.
- 1:09:00He's like. 2 feet. Tall.
- 1:09:03He's like Spider Man. It's Spider Man's dad.
- 1:09:05Foot and a half tall and he's giant.
- 1:09:07Yes, Yeah. And the original Spider Man's
- 1:09:09like your your standard action figure.
- 1:09:12Size like a? Yeah.
- 1:09:13And then we found a giant one. Yes, one year.
- 1:09:16Who's like probably like 3 times.
- 1:09:17The same thing, all the joints move, every knuckle moves.
- 1:09:20It's incredible. Yes.
- 1:09:21Not sure who made these but they're amazing.
- 1:09:23Yeah cuz the little ones like OK, each finger moves and the
- 1:09:25big one is like every knuckle. Every knuckle and each finger
- 1:09:29moves. You can pose him so many
- 1:09:31different ways and so we bought him.
- 1:09:33From the flea market to give him to you for Christmas.
- 1:09:36So I'm like, OK, I'm going to beat my sister to the punch.
- 1:09:39So I wrap up her. I hadn't given her a birthday
- 1:09:42gift even though it was back in June.
- 1:09:43So, you know, six months late, it's still at least you got one.
- 1:09:46I put her gift in there and I put Spidey on top of there,
- 1:09:50flipping her off and then I cover it in tissue paper and
- 1:09:54wrapped it up. So I'm like, she's going to get
- 1:09:56this. I'm going to be here to the
- 1:09:57punch. So she did sure shit.
- 1:09:59She opens up and she was dying. Then I of course got the little
- 1:10:01one, but I was like, suck it. So then I I I have some photos
- 1:10:05we'll have to post. Them we'll post them because.
- 1:10:07I took a bunch of pictures. They are the best, best in my
- 1:10:12opinion, action figures, figures ever sold, ever made.
- 1:10:16They're fantastic. So yeah, we have fun with that.
- 1:10:19You know, my my best friend, her family had this one Barbie that
- 1:10:23they used to hide in each others bedrooms all the time.
- 1:10:25And then they started wrapping it up and giving it to each
- 1:10:27other. So they never know when the
- 1:10:28Barbie is going to resurface. So for you guys, it's Spiderman.
- 1:10:30It's I find it hilarious, but. It's just so funny to like, I
- 1:10:35mean, I, we have pictures of Sam, take him to the movies and
- 1:10:39they put him on the seat next to him like he's got a piece of
- 1:10:41popcorn or something like that. He does.
- 1:10:43You're right, you know, And I, of course, I took him to the Art
- 1:10:46Museum and all that kind of stuff.
- 1:10:47The one time Spaghetti factory. Spaghetti Factory.
- 1:10:49Yeah, we got to find. You're right.
- 1:10:51We got to now that he's been found.
- 1:10:53Yeah. We got to take him, take him
- 1:10:54some places in 2026. That's a good, that's a good
- 1:10:56resolution. Yeah.
- 1:10:57We're going somewhere in February, so we'll take him
- 1:11:00along maybe. We like to give guy gifts.
- 1:11:03I don't know why, Because it's funny.
- 1:11:05It's funny and so. Because all we are is funny.
- 1:11:08We're weird and funny, so Liv Liv's guy gift was a stray cat's
- 1:11:12T-shirt because. Her favorite?
- 1:11:15Her favorite? Band or boy group and K pop is
- 1:11:18stray Kids and your dad, bless the soul, didn't doesn't always
- 1:11:22understand what they're saying. I think he's I think he's
- 1:11:24starting to get hard of hearing a little bit.
- 1:11:25But livid said something about Stray Kids and he's like he
- 1:11:29looks at her and goes what what did you say?
- 1:11:34And she being, you know, a smart Alec says.
- 1:11:37Stray cats and he goes. Stray cats.
- 1:11:41You like the stray cats now? And he goes, what the fuck, just
- 1:11:45like that. And the poor man, he was so
- 1:11:49confused. He was like, I can't even follow
- 1:11:52along. Why do you like the stray cats?
- 1:11:54Now we're like, Oh my God, she doesn't like the stray cats.
- 1:11:58She's messing with you so. But what's so funny is.
- 1:12:01The fact that there is a group. Called Stray Cats.
- 1:12:05Brian Setzer's amazing. We love stray cats, but that was
- 1:12:07a group that was around when Dad and I were young in the 80s.
- 1:12:09So she goes stray. Cats.
- 1:12:10So I got. Her a stray cats T-shirt.
- 1:12:12She didn't appreciate it all. Sam's like that's an awesome
- 1:12:15fucking T-shirt I'm taking. I was like, damn it, I was going
- 1:12:17to take it. If lived it like so I'm kind of
- 1:12:18mad about that. So I told Sam we got a share,
- 1:12:21but that was the hoot yours. We wrapped up old Christmas
- 1:12:24cards because you said you didn't have all of them in your
- 1:12:26office. Wasn't near as funny.
- 1:12:28But your snow globe this year was your snow globe this year
- 1:12:30was Sully. Yes.
- 1:12:32No, from from. Actually, it's both souls.
- 1:12:34You're right, she got 2 Sully snow girls.
- 1:12:35I got Monsters Inc, Little Sully and I also got one that you
- 1:12:39could put a little photo in which you can change.
- 1:12:41A photo of the Metro, Metro riders, whatever Metro stations
- 1:12:46or what do you call it, Giveaway from the Metro Transit or
- 1:12:48something they call it Yeah. And went got a freebie the snow
- 1:12:51globe and I was like, I can use that.
- 1:12:52But you can put a photo in there.
- 1:12:53So you put you put the boys on one side and the.
- 1:12:55Cats and the other the girls on the other so that I think Sam's
- 1:12:59gag gift was I was in the Five Below and saw this game I don't
- 1:13:03know if anybody you've heard this you played this before.
- 1:13:06What is the original game called The original game guess who is
- 1:13:11called guess who and you have people and you have to do do do
- 1:13:15they have blonde hair Do they have green you know guess
- 1:13:17questions you have to guess who the person is Well this game was
- 1:13:20called who is it who is it instead of guessing it's you
- 1:13:23know of course it's a knock off at the Five Below.
- 1:13:25Well, I'm dying laughing because and I'm like, I got to buy this
- 1:13:28because if you've ever watched SNL back then when Eddie Murphy
- 1:13:31was on, he plays Not Mr. Rogers. He does like In My Neighborhood,
- 1:13:36yes. And he says, in My neighborhood,
- 1:13:38when someone knocks on the door, we say, who is it?
- 1:13:43And so so we say that all the time.
- 1:13:46Who is it? And so I'm like I'm saying the
- 1:13:48Five Below laughing my ass off because it says who is it on
- 1:13:50this game? And my sister has no.
- 1:13:51Idea why I'm laughing and I'm like I have to buy this and Sam
- 1:13:54always wanted to kind of make her own with like like whatever
- 1:13:58or K pop characters or whatever and so I was like OK, this is
- 1:14:02the cheap one she can make her own, but of course she opens up.
- 1:14:05She immediately got it and so who is it so amazing.
- 1:14:08That was hilarious. Everybody got usually try to
- 1:14:12find something funny for by Ashley's was a Nessie ladle that
- 1:14:16I thought was a spoon rest. Turned out it's ladle so good.
- 1:14:20Whatever. Good enough, but.
- 1:14:22We love. I mean a little bit.
- 1:14:23But we had a good time. Christmas is great.
- 1:14:25I hope everybody out there had a great Christmas and a happy New
- 1:14:28year or else. And Truth actually composed her
- 1:14:32Christmas card now you're right. I could do that on the do that
- 1:14:34on the website. And hopefully 2026 is an awesome
- 1:14:38year for all of us. Yeah, looking forward to it.
- 1:14:40It doesn't have any. It doesn't.
- 1:14:42Have any other? Choice.
- 1:14:43Maybe we'll remember to to to post our episodes on time.
- 1:14:45Maybe, who knows? We will, but maybe we won't.
- 1:14:48Maybe we won't. No guarantees, unlikely, no
- 1:14:51promises from likely we will. All right, well, after this, I
- 1:14:54don't know about you guys, but I'm going to need some serious
- 1:14:56beef. And some serious beef eaters.
- 1:15:02Bye. Bye bye.
