- 0:41Speaker 1: on YouTube right now, but this show, look, this is
- 0:45Speaker 1: a show for dads who truly want to get better.
- 0:48Speaker 1: But at the same time, you know the phrase like
- 0:50Speaker 1: that's a guys, guy that's a boys boy, that's a
- 0:53Speaker 1: dad's dad. This is what this show is. We enjoy
- 0:56Speaker 1: having fun, whether you're in it, where you're preparing, whether
- 0:59Speaker 1: you're preparing to be in it. We love fatherhood. We
- 1:03Speaker 1: talked about our hugs and lows of fatherhood. We tell stories,
- 1:05Speaker 1: but we also don't take ourselves too seriously. We are
- 1:07Speaker 1: not experts. We just love having a good o silly
- 1:10Speaker 1: goose time being dads, being husbands. We'll get into some
- 1:14Speaker 1: conversations with the wife. He had a couple and I'm
- 1:17Speaker 1: gonna have to I'll have to get corrected on the show.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I'll have to get corrected on the show. But the
- 1:21Speaker 1: feedback has always just been incredible, guys, the engagement. There
- 1:24Speaker 1: was a hater in the comment the other day Sharam
- 1:26Speaker 1: that I think I was promoting for the dads or
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was doing something.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Maybe he was one of the clips.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And by the way, Chef Derek, you guys absolutely crush it, Shuram,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I know you make clips as well. You guys crush
- 1:36Speaker 1: it with making clips. But I had a comment or
- 1:40Speaker 1: the other day that was talking like, well, you guys
- 1:42Speaker 1: only get ten thousand viewers or something like he thought
- 1:45Speaker 1: he was taking a shot and you know, like wear
- 1:49Speaker 1: we're on what this is episode eighteen seventeen eight, this
- 1:52Speaker 1: will be nineteen. As you're listening to AA is good.
- 1:57Speaker 1: TVA for a new brand, a new pod is good.
- 2:00Speaker 1: But also when you look at it the entire universe
- 2:03Speaker 1: of Busting with the boys, like when you look at
- 2:06Speaker 1: viewer viewership and then comment like the ratio of viewership
- 2:10Speaker 1: and engagement for the dads is popping off, like the
- 2:13Speaker 1: community of Papa Team six. And again, if you're a
- 2:15Speaker 1: new dad, welcome to the Papa Team six PT six community. Yeah,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you love to have fun on social media, we talk
- 2:20Speaker 1: about Papa Team six being a PT Siko being a
- 2:22Speaker 1: PT sixer. We also have the Semen Team sixers which
- 2:26Speaker 1: Chef Chef Jack are guy in the back. He's the
- 2:28Speaker 1: head of Semen Team six. Seeman Team six is you're
- 2:30Speaker 1: not a dad yet, you're shooting for the love of
- 2:32Speaker 1: the game. Right now, you're spraying let across the yard.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He's the commander of a Seaman Team six. You could
- 2:38Speaker 1: also be a dad and maybe you're in buds training.
- 2:40Speaker 1: That's breeding until dad status. So again, if you're joining
- 2:44Speaker 1: the show, if you're in tune with the show to
- 2:46Speaker 1: be a better father, be a better husband. You'll get
- 2:48Speaker 1: some of those tidbits and advice and conversations, but we
- 2:52Speaker 1: also love to just have a good time and fun uncles.
- 2:55Speaker 1: We got the fun uncles, We got the funcals, We
- 2:58Speaker 1: got the funkals. With Derek back there. But yeah, he
- 3:00Speaker 1: thought he was taking a shot at the at the
- 3:03Speaker 1: viewer show. Buddy, I like, listen. Oh well, your new
- 3:06Speaker 1: podcast only gets ten thousand views on YouTube. Yeah, matter
- 3:09Speaker 1: of fact, it was on Instagram. And then I replied
- 3:11Speaker 1: to him and I said, buddy, if I if I
- 3:13Speaker 1: took your advice, I'd be working at the crematorium next door.
- 3:18Speaker 1: You stay, you stay on that say you want to
- 3:20Speaker 1: be angry fined. Don't let PT six, don't let the
- 3:22Speaker 1: pt SICO see this comic, because they'll come after you. Hey,
- 3:25Speaker 1: we love the crematorium, by the way, we love we
- 3:27Speaker 1: love the nice pep very nice people with some coun
- 3:31Speaker 1: come out, you know, dust body dust all over him,
- 3:35Speaker 1: being like, hey, I love the episode this week. Is
- 3:37Speaker 1: they got a pretty good sense of humor. They have
- 3:40Speaker 1: to if you're gonna work at a couch.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah, they came up to me, they said, hey, uh,
- 3:44Speaker 3: I heard you got a new weight room in there,
- 3:45Speaker 3: said yeah, we do, and they go, well, yeah, we
- 3:47Speaker 3: lift a lot too. So really they go, yeah, we
- 3:51Speaker 3: do a lot of deadlifting, and idd chuckled. That's a

- 5:39Speaker 1: BTWTV dot com. That's how you do that. Continue to
- 5:42Speaker 1: engage in that phone with the boys. We appreciate. We
- 5:45Speaker 1: got comments. I mean I'm holding I'm holding about nine
- 5:48Speaker 1: to ten comments. I'm sure I'm sure Surehan has a
- 5:51Speaker 1: lot as well.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I have nine.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we have a lot of comments to get through.
- 5:54Speaker 1: We have our voicemails. You can call into six O

- 6:01Speaker 1: We also have a quote lesson or topic that we
- 6:03Speaker 1: love to dive in on at the end of the episodes.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And then in between the meat of it all, outside
- 6:08Speaker 1: of the engagement that comments and everything else, we talk
- 6:10Speaker 1: about our wins, we talk about our losses. What we
- 6:12Speaker 1: crack a cold one two survival kit, Dad hacks the

- 6:22Speaker 2: want to do this before we get into comments. Yes,
- 6:24Speaker 2: we've been talking about it. Shout out to the guy
- 6:29Speaker 2: in the Chipotle line at eleven thirty on Monday, wearing
- 6:32Speaker 2: a PT six shirt, blonde hair glasses. I saw you
- 6:36Speaker 2: and you were in the middle of ordering line. It
- 6:38Speaker 2: was packed, and I bitched out. I didn't say I
- 6:41Speaker 2: I walked a chef. I know, but I wanted you
- 6:44Speaker 2: to know that I saw it.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Did he did he look old? Did he look like
- 6:46Speaker 1: a dad?
- 6:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:47Speaker 2: I looked young dad, young Folka. He'll know who he is.
- 6:50Speaker 2: If he's listening, just know I saw you.

- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, he had the first iteration, the first drop.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yeah, so shout out.
- 7:01Speaker 5: From the middle.
- 7:03Speaker 2: He was loading up a ball.
- 7:04Speaker 1: He's somebody who he's listening to me talking about this
- 7:06Speaker 1: hater in the comments on Instagram. He's like, what, let
- 7:08Speaker 1: me go find this? What fun? Hey, you gotta do better, bro,
- 7:14Speaker 1: you are the captain of He was six.
- 7:16Speaker 2: He was in the middle of putting something on his bowl,
- 7:19Speaker 2: like he's in the middle of the line. I was like, ah,
- 7:21Speaker 2: like I should say something, but I just it was
- 7:24Speaker 2: packed and I don't want to be that guy. Were
- 7:25Speaker 2: you picking up an order? I was picking up an order,
- 7:27Speaker 2: so I wasn't okay.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Okay either way. And then he looks over just give
- 7:32Speaker 1: him a little and that's that's noted. Everything is said
- 7:35Speaker 1: just in that interaction.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Everything is said, Yeah, I agree, I was disappointing myself.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So whoever you were, I saw you, and hell yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 2: I saw you.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I love you. My masculine insecurity got in the way.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I was like, he knows it doesn't matter.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he knows. That's whatever. Man eight dollars on YouTube.

- 8:02Speaker 1: looking forward to fatherhood. Can't wait to be pop a
- 8:05Speaker 1: Team six in the coming years. The boys about to
- 8:07Speaker 1: hit Buds training. I also got only the Junior on YouTube.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I've got my group of friends that I've had for
- 8:13Speaker 1: two decades hooked on this pod. The amount of good
- 8:16Speaker 1: texts I get now is amazing. You guys have brought
- 8:18Speaker 1: us closer together as Dad's not just buds. I just
- 8:21Speaker 1: had my third kid, right about when the Erminader had
- 8:24Speaker 1: his first two girls and one boy. Outnumbered good nick
- 8:31Speaker 1: nick measle, nick measle on YouTube, measle to weasel. You
- 8:35Speaker 1: know that's his nickname too. I'm sorry. And if I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: mispronouncing it, God that sucks. Riding home, writing home, listening
- 8:44Speaker 1: to my favorite podcast when my wife sends me a
- 8:46Speaker 1: video of my son leading his middle school football team
- 8:49Speaker 1: out in front of the school for their pep rally,
- 8:52Speaker 1: and I'm tearing up.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I have to remind myself that crying is good, crying
- 8:57Speaker 1: is cool.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Boys.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I have a twelve, ten and three year old, all boys,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and damn our kids, break us and make us proud.

- 9:10Speaker 1: school and the middle school middle school, middle school and
- 9:14Speaker 1: leading the team out in front of the school in
- 9:15Speaker 1: the pep row leading them.
- 9:17Speaker 2: That's juicy, juicy.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You know, ain't nothing like in middle school and it's
- 9:22Speaker 1: pep rally day or or game day and you just
- 9:25Speaker 1: got the jersey on because you know the varsity rocks
- 9:27Speaker 1: that you know you're about to get initiated in the
- 9:30Speaker 1: high school world one day down the road and you're
- 9:33Speaker 1: kind of playing that cool sceenior on pep rally day.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yo, the young man's horny. You talking about eighty, We
- 9:39Speaker 2: talk about eighth grade.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Middle schooler.
- 9:45Speaker 2: That's like, I think that's like sixth grade.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Middle school's eight, seventh to eight, right you.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Have but twelve, Yeah, let's sea, we'll go. We have fun.
- 9:57Speaker 1: We had to find out that was maybe little bit
- 10:00Speaker 1: over the line. That's some garage. There's some there's some
- 10:03Speaker 1: garage talk with your boys. I'm talking over it. I'm
- 10:06Speaker 1: talking about myself when I was like when I I'm
- 10:08Speaker 1: thinking old Lily c back then, I already know, man,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I gotta.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Get home for the friendly Oh my god, but we
- 10:24Speaker 2: love your you kids. Yeah, oh man, it's a good thing.
- 10:30Speaker 1: This segment ain't on ESPN.
- 10:34Speaker 3: I got a comment from Yogi Bear eleven twenty seven
- 10:37Speaker 3: on YouTube. I was never close with my parents and
- 10:40Speaker 3: seeing y'all be great dads, it really heals my kid heart.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Hashtag GBR ge GBR. And then we got another one,
- 10:49Speaker 3: Kevin Living Good. And Kevin says, hey, sure, my name
- 10:53Speaker 3: is Kevin, last name pronounced living Good.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, because he is living Good.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I discovered for the dad.
- 11:00Speaker 3: It's pretty late in the game, so I started at
- 11:02Speaker 3: the beginning. Just got to the episode where you are
- 11:05Speaker 3: getting blasted for the couch situation in the hospital.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Just wanted to give you support from.
- 11:10Speaker 3: The privileged dads. When my now two year old son
- 11:13Speaker 3: was born, I had a pluther couch in the delivery
- 11:17Speaker 3: room that had a built him recliner. In our post
- 11:20Speaker 3: delivery room, I got a freakin' hospital bed.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Kevin, you are living Good.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So he gets on the hostle Ben He's like they
- 11:31Speaker 1: come up to they come up to his wife.
- 11:35Speaker 3: So everything okay, contractions have started.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Hey, the TV remote rent aboutteries. By the way, he said,
- 11:44Speaker 1: stay strong, King, and I know that you are. Just
- 11:48Speaker 1: know that you aren't alone. Kevin living good. Thank you
- 11:50Speaker 1: so much, dude. And then I am jaysuck Uh.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I'm a pet sick. I've been watching since the first episode.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I just wanted to say to the twenty one year old,
- 12:04Speaker 3: I have my first daughter at twenty eight. I still
- 12:07Speaker 3: felt too young, maybe not ready maturity wise, financially wise.
- 12:11Speaker 3: But when your baby comes, that is your world. You
- 12:15Speaker 3: just simply figure it out. That is your priority.
- 12:18Speaker 2: That is your.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Nuclear freaking bomb that you protect with all your might.
- 12:22Speaker 3: But everything comes, you figure it out.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It's going to be great, the best feeling in the
- 12:26Speaker 1: world when it's their first day out. Just keep it
- 12:31Speaker 1: moving with all obstacles.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Brother hashtag PT six, hashtag pt siko, hashtag baby Daddy
- 12:39Speaker 3: Team six, hashtag BDT six, hashtag baby dad Siica.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I am jasock. I just had a come to while
- 12:49Speaker 1: you were reading because you had a laugh and it
- 12:51Speaker 1: made me chuckle, just because your laugh makes me chuckle,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and just hearing you tell stories.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The comment was.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Coming after you on Instagram, did you guys, I'm going back.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I'm going back in the archives now. It was like
- 13:04Speaker 1: removing Sharan from the show and it'll be much better.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I wish I could have just grabbed that motherfucker by that.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Through better And Will said, if I did that, I'd
- 13:13Speaker 6: be working at the Cream.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Yes, that's what it was.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Described otherwise.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Yes, that's what it was. That's what it was, and
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry for the curse.
- 13:23Speaker 2: And I know this.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I know this a family friendly show. Maybe bleed me
- 13:26Speaker 1: out chef when I dropped the MF like that, but that's.
- 13:29Speaker 2: What it was.
- 13:29Speaker 1: They came after Fat, they came after Fat. Well, they
- 13:32Speaker 1: just came after Fat Stafford just randomly in totality, just randomly.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I don't even know if you were. I forget what
- 13:38Speaker 1: the clip was, but I don't even think Sherman was
- 13:40Speaker 1: in the clip.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Damn. That was the craziest part. He wasn't in the clips.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and listen, we talked about the hundreds that DM
- 13:48Speaker 1: you now and I love how you engage and go
- 13:50Speaker 1: back and forth with everybody on a personal level. So
- 13:53Speaker 1: just all the people that fight for Fat Stafford just
- 13:55Speaker 1: know there was somebody in the comments on my Instagram
- 13:59Speaker 1: one of the clips that I host going after the Boy,
- 14:02Speaker 1: do we mobum? There's gonna be new moments where we
- 14:05Speaker 1: have to get PT six mobile.
- 14:07Speaker 2: We haven't called upon the goombrats.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah minute, because I know dad's probably a lot of
- 14:11Speaker 1: the dads that listen to the show probably aren't the
- 14:13Speaker 1: most active on social media. I'm not saying that boomers
- 14:16Speaker 1: anything else. I'm just saying the majority of people who
- 14:18Speaker 1: root for you, they're not in the comments. They'll give
- 14:21Speaker 1: praise every now and then, are when a big moment
- 14:23Speaker 1: happens and talk about eyefil, or they'll DM you on
- 14:25Speaker 1: the side or SG because they actually care and they
- 14:28Speaker 1: are rooting for you. It's the haters that are loudest
- 14:31Speaker 1: in any comment section. So it's we got to get
- 14:34Speaker 1: the boy. We gotta get PT six focused at times
- 14:36Speaker 1: because we love having fun on the internet as much
- 14:38Speaker 1: as anybody, and we get them, mobilize and get them.
- 14:42Speaker 3: The good The good news is we're recording this on
- 14:44Speaker 3: a Friday. This episode won't drop until Wednesday of next week.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'll find this, I'll find the I'll find the comment.
- 14:53Speaker 1: We get that way, we can put it on the
- 14:55Speaker 1: screen and people know exactly where to get do I
- 14:57Speaker 1: give them the full meme treatment? I think so so
- 15:00Speaker 1: when memes memes. So when shirm former name on Twitter
- 15:05Speaker 1: was see if be memes Zone, Oh yeah, it's a
- 15:07Speaker 1: massive He made his name in the game making memes
- 15:11Speaker 1: and meme videos and trolling and doing all this stuff.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So if you're if you're wondering what is mem him
- 15:17Speaker 1: to death mean, you'll have to follow scherm on x
- 15:22Speaker 1: on Twitter and this is where you will see all
- 15:25Speaker 1: this stuff go down. He'll start meming them. This where
- 15:27Speaker 1: you flood, This where you get in the comments. We're
- 15:29Speaker 1: looking to delete people, We're looking to get profiles the lete.
- 15:32Speaker 5: You know.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Now this is all coming back to me because when
- 15:35Speaker 2: I saw that comment, I said, ah, I will put
- 15:38Speaker 2: it aside because we know we love Sherman.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I gues yes, but I usually I am good enough
- 15:42Speaker 1: to do it. But for whatever reason, when they attack
- 15:44Speaker 1: my boy, when I see just something just directed at
- 15:48Speaker 1: one of the boys, you know, that's where it gets
- 15:49Speaker 1: me sideways.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You know what made me fucking laugh about that dude?
- 15:52Speaker 2: I clicked on his profile and his bio was say
- 15:57Speaker 2: something nice to someone. I swear to god, it was
- 16:00Speaker 2: something along those lines. I chuckled. I said, wow, the
- 16:04Speaker 2: irony must be lost on him.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Bro. It was funny too. With a lot of those
- 16:08Speaker 1: people who hate on the internet, you will click on
- 16:10Speaker 1: their profile and it'll be something. Their bio will be
- 16:13Speaker 1: something like that, like you know, positivity and wolf in
- 16:17Speaker 1: sheep's clothing. Yeah, a wolf in sheep's clothing. Yeah, absolutely right.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Let's get back to the comments. Yes, I kind of
- 16:23Speaker 1: came to while I was looking while I was listening
- 16:25Speaker 1: to you, and your laugh made me chuck on. I'm like,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know what, that's what that was? Well?
- 16:29Speaker 3: I held I held back because his name was I
- 16:32Speaker 3: am Jaysock. And I was going to say, speaking of
- 16:34Speaker 3: forny middle schoolers with the J sock, we know about this,
- 16:40Speaker 3: Will Jackson going yeah, if I held it in, and
- 16:44Speaker 3: that's what made me laugh, And I was like, maybe not.
- 16:47Speaker 1: All the people sixers used to have that baseball sock
- 16:50Speaker 1: that you know? Hey, come on, uh, Joey Estrada thirty
- 16:53Speaker 1: eight eighty seven on YouTube, you boys really know how
- 16:56Speaker 1: to run a podcast.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Out there we go shout out Joey Estrada as.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Someone who listens to podcast ten plus hours a day
- 17:02Speaker 1: while at work. Obviously top podcast being for the Dad's
- 17:05Speaker 1: Bust with the Boys and Inside the Bus. You guys
- 17:08Speaker 1: just really know how to give it a good family feeling.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Some of the most best, best and realistic advice I've
- 17:12Speaker 1: heard and stuff will carry on four years and pass
- 17:15Speaker 1: on to my children whenever that day comes. I appreciate
- 17:18Speaker 1: all the good laughs and cries. It feels so good
- 17:20Speaker 1: just to let the emotions out, sometimes buying some merch
- 17:23Speaker 1: next week when the paycheck kits. You guys continue the
- 17:25Speaker 1: good work and manting blessings to all and to all
- 17:29Speaker 1: of y'all and your families. Joey, thank you, bro.
- 17:32Speaker 2: What last name of Joey? What was it?
- 17:34Speaker 3: Estrada astrada That is, he is a fan that we
- 17:38Speaker 3: like to call around here a Tier one sick o. Yeah,
- 17:41Speaker 3: he just named every single platform, every single show that
- 17:44Speaker 3: Bust with the Boys and when.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You are in the Inside the Bus world, which again
- 17:48Speaker 1: Inside the Bus podcast is a show by all the
- 17:50Speaker 1: guys on the back of the bus, the guys behind
- 17:52Speaker 1: the camera back in the production area doing the work.
- 17:55Speaker 1: They also have a podcast of their own, So when
- 17:58Speaker 1: you are covering it top to bottom that way. That
- 18:00Speaker 1: is what we call a Tier one s That's a
- 18:03Speaker 1: Tier one sick. Thank you, Joey Estrada. I can't wait
- 18:06Speaker 1: to tell the guys at the back of the bus.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And for the dads they're talking about inside the bus. Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: And first and foremost, this pot is for the boys
- 18:14Speaker 1: out there. For the dads, I know, we get a
- 18:15Speaker 1: lot of moms and a lot of wives and women
- 18:18Speaker 1: kind of listening with their significant other. I love that
- 18:20Speaker 1: the dads and the men are so tapped in that
- 18:23Speaker 1: all these nicknames they kind of make sense or they
- 18:25Speaker 1: might chuckle on.
- 18:26Speaker 2: The wives are like, man, they just have so.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Many, so many code names, so many nicknames, Like is
- 18:32Speaker 1: this just what guys do? It is it's what the
- 18:35Speaker 1: boys do when we need nicknames for everything. When I'm
- 18:37Speaker 1: cutting clips, Speaking of cutting clips, I'm like some of
- 18:41Speaker 1: the clips, when I look through the lens of somebody
- 18:44Speaker 1: that doesn't listen to this podcast, I'm like, they think
- 18:46Speaker 1: we're speaking another language. Oh yeah, if you got boomers
- 18:50Speaker 1: out there to listen, which I'm sure some older dads
- 18:52Speaker 1: out there listen, they're like, you know, there might be
- 18:54Speaker 1: fascinated or curious in everything that we're talking about. We're
- 18:57Speaker 1: also putting them on game. But all the young dads
- 18:59Speaker 1: out there, the young the st sixers listening, even the
- 19:03Speaker 1: goon gooner berets that are out the goom berets that
- 19:06Speaker 1: are out there, like this is a this is the
- 19:08Speaker 1: language in our world. I will very quickly, very quickly,
- 19:12Speaker 1: got to keep it under an hour. And we do
- 19:13Speaker 1: have comments to get through.
- 19:15Speaker 3: We do have comments to get through. I got this
- 19:18Speaker 3: video sent to me from a PT sixer. Uh, speaking
- 19:22Speaker 3: of an older kind of boomer crowd.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Uh.
- 19:25Speaker 3: He went up to his coworker h and asked him
- 19:28Speaker 3: if he caught the latest episode PT six and this
- 19:31Speaker 3: is what he said.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Have you seen this? No?
- 19:33Speaker 1: I haven't.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Okay, Yo, Carl, you catch for the Dad's podcast yesterday?
- 19:37Speaker 2: What do you think I am a goon beret? Of
- 19:40Speaker 2: course I did Will's lesson of the Week with straight gas.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Homie knew you'd be on. Is that not crazy? That's crazy?
- 19:48Speaker 1: Even the boomers, even the boomers.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Wait, you think I am a goom beret.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna tell me too. Uh. He
- 19:55Speaker 1: went up. We have an older gentleman who listens to
- 19:56Speaker 1: the pod. He went up to his buddy and asked
- 19:58Speaker 1: him if he could like teach him how to make
- 19:59Speaker 1: a video so he can make a video for us. Incredible,
- 20:04Speaker 1: Oh incredible, All right, let's die back in. Yes, Adrian
- 20:07Speaker 1: Hernandez the second junior here, what's up? Boys? This on Instagram.
- 20:12Speaker 1: My name's Adrian, new to Pt. Six. I'm a father
- 20:15Speaker 1: to a three year old boy and a two year
- 20:17Speaker 1: old girl. My wife just broke some horrible news to me.
- 20:19Speaker 1: She said she's packing her bags and taking away the
- 20:21Speaker 1: kids from me for the weekend. Wait, not the kid.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Adrian's gonna have to be home, basically home by himself,
- 20:33Speaker 3: having to just like take care of the house by himself.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Wife's leaving, She's taking the kids for a weekend, and
- 20:39Speaker 1: she won't be there to help him. Derek, it's here
- 20:44Speaker 1: we go. He's got more, He's got more.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Derek'sclus in his mind back there. It's all right, Derek.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I was at a loss for words. I couldn't speak.
- 20:56Speaker 1: How do I survive a weekend without them? We feel
- 20:59Speaker 1: that been there? Am I just supposed to grab my
- 21:02Speaker 1: favorite bottle whiskey and just play video games. I hate
- 21:05Speaker 1: so much all weekend? Am I just supposed to enjoy
- 21:10Speaker 1: the games now without interruptions. Football games. Oh god, it's
- 21:14Speaker 1: football season. Any helper guidance would be much appreciated through
- 21:17Speaker 1: this hard time. Anyways, cheers of the boys for the
- 21:23Speaker 1: last and cries. I love how much emotion you open
- 21:25Speaker 1: into these episodes. I'm gonna sincerely miss my wife and
- 21:32Speaker 1: children as they leave for a weekend, and she basically
- 21:35Speaker 1: rips the heart out of my chest and I have
- 21:37Speaker 1: to hang out along for a weekend. I did we
- 21:39Speaker 1: do joke around? We have a lot of fun on
- 21:42Speaker 1: this podcast. Yeah, just give it a give No, that's
- 21:48Speaker 1: all right, It's okay, chef, that's all right, chef.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We don't blame you, but go on. We like to
- 21:53Speaker 2: have a lot of fun. We like that. We like
- 21:56Speaker 2: to have a lot of fun on this podcast. We
- 21:57Speaker 2: like to joke around.
- 21:59Speaker 3: One thing I do want to say, moms, First off,
- 22:03Speaker 3: don't go out of town and don't take the kids
- 22:06Speaker 3: with you.
- 22:07Speaker 1: If there's one thing a dad needs and wants most,
- 22:12Speaker 1: it's for their wife and kids to be in town
- 22:14Speaker 1: on the weekend while football is on the TV.
- 22:16Speaker 3: But you know what the that was what the kicker
- 22:19Speaker 3: was because I was like, Hey, you know what, Adrian,
- 22:21Speaker 3: you can make it through.
- 22:23Speaker 2: It will be okay.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Yeah, you might have to get that favorite bottle of whiskey,
- 22:27Speaker 3: you might have to play that video game you hate
- 22:28Speaker 3: so much. But then when I realized that she so
- 22:32Speaker 3: selfishly chose a weekend in the fall, during football season
- 22:37Speaker 3: to leave, Yeah, that's the part that hit home, Adrian.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Man, tough times don't last. Tough people do. This isn't
- 22:48Speaker 1: the right way to go about it, but it's a
- 22:50Speaker 1: way that works for me at times, and it is.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It's it's grab an ice cold butt, let out of
- 22:56Speaker 1: the fridge. Yeah, crack it open. Yeah, kick your feet
- 23:00Speaker 1: up in whatever couch, recliner, whatever you have. Man, Oh,
- 23:07Speaker 1: watch that football because as much as you don't want
- 23:10Speaker 1: to do it and don't like to do it while
- 23:12Speaker 1: your wife and kids are out of town, that'll help
- 23:15Speaker 1: keep you together and keep and keep the pain at bay. Yeah. Well,
- 23:21Speaker 1: maybe get a full twelve hours, ten hours of sleep,
- 23:24Speaker 1: Maybe stay up and play video games with your boys.
- 23:27Speaker 1: There's not a wrong there's not a wrong decision to
- 23:31Speaker 1: make in it during a time like that. Just know
- 23:34Speaker 1: that we are all with you, and we are all
- 23:36Speaker 1: thinking about you, and man, dads hate when their wife
- 23:41Speaker 1: and kids go out of town for the weekend.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Hey, Dree, I'm so sorry, dude.
- 23:46Speaker 3: And I know that staying up late like that, that's
- 23:48Speaker 3: gonna cause him probably to sleep in, so then he's
- 23:51Speaker 3: gonna be behind on meals when he wakes up in
- 23:53Speaker 3: the morning, he's probably gonna have to order takeout for breakfast.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He's gonna have to order takeout for break Takeouts not
- 23:59Speaker 1: the end answer, but sometimes takeout is the answer. It
- 24:03Speaker 1: might be his only option right now. Maybe it's pizza.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Nothing gets shittier than having a weekend solo watching football,
- 24:13Speaker 1: playing video video games, staying up late, sleeping in, and
- 24:17Speaker 1: eating with icy cold bud light and wings and pizza.
- 24:21Speaker 6: Can I tell you, guys why we're like a circle
- 24:23Speaker 6: of trust? You guys are my three best friends on
- 24:25Speaker 6: the planet.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Can I tell you why this hits home so
- 24:27Speaker 2: hard to me? Yeah?
- 24:29Speaker 6: I don't have a kid, but my fiance is going
- 24:32Speaker 6: to Cincinnati for the weekend a wedding dress shop. No,
- 24:36Speaker 6: and my mom's meeting her there, and she's taking the
- 24:39Speaker 6: niece and nephew from their dad, and they're all going
- 24:43Speaker 6: to Cincinnati together.
- 24:44Speaker 2: So he's home alone. Too.
- 24:45Speaker 6: He's home alone too. Man, I'm holdlone all weekend and
- 24:49Speaker 6: I have ten guys coming over. It's a little support
- 24:51Speaker 6: group to play poker. They're they're just they're showing up. Yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 6: And I guess I'll just drink beer tomorrow and hang out.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 1: So whenever, ad but it hits home when everybody leaves town.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Get your boys over man.
- 25:07Speaker 2: And shout out that group of guys.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Man, that's what this podcast is built on, is that
- 25:11Speaker 1: that kind of community shout out.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I got a On a lighter side.
- 25:18Speaker 1: A comment from Kyle pt six for Life from from
- 25:22Speaker 1: x dot com. That's his user name, by the way,
- 25:24Speaker 1: that just read Kyle pt six for life. Let's a
- 25:28Speaker 1: sink in. Yeah, I love it. He starts it off
- 25:31Speaker 1: with fuck boys. That last episode got me good.
- 25:35Speaker 3: You guys got the mailman out here crying on ring
- 25:38Speaker 3: cameras not cool. Will thank you for sharing such a
- 25:41Speaker 3: personal moment. This show has helped me in many ways
- 25:44Speaker 3: as a new dad of six month old Aria. Thanks
- 25:48Speaker 3: for everything. Been listening from the beginning. Get the trash
- 25:51Speaker 3: to the curb boys, wolf emoji. I got another one
- 25:55Speaker 3: that's one that gets that will get your Yeah. I
- 26:00Speaker 3: hit you your electricity bill.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Running from the Dog.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Mark Gonzalez two six nine eight on YouTube says, as
- 26:08Speaker 3: a twenty five year old dad, I had my first
- 26:11Speaker 3: when I was eighteen. I can say one hundred percent
- 26:14Speaker 3: agree embrace the fatherhood. Of course, I've come a long
- 26:17Speaker 3: way and got ways to go, but I've always tried
- 26:20Speaker 3: my best, which is all you can do, and also learn,
- 26:24Speaker 3: learned to want to learn. I wish I had this
- 26:26Speaker 3: podcast years ago because this podcast gets me absolutely pumped
- 26:31Speaker 3: to go home to my kids. And last but not least,
- 26:34Speaker 3: we have Ray Maddix on Instagram. He says, love the
- 26:38Speaker 3: pod and have a question for the boys, how do
- 26:40Speaker 3: you get your kid to eat what's for dinner? My
- 26:44Speaker 3: daughter's a one and a half year old, and a
- 26:45Speaker 3: few months ago she would munch on anything from ribbone, steak, chicken, anything.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Now she won't to eat a thing but bullshit fried
- 26:54Speaker 3: food from restaurants for fast food chains. I appreciate the
- 26:58Speaker 3: help fellas that came from Ray.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I love the Ray Maddox because I have I have
- 27:04Speaker 1: some One of my updates that I was going to
- 27:05Speaker 1: talk about is the dinner time routine and the expectation
- 27:08Speaker 1: that we've kind of set at home where you kind
- 27:11Speaker 1: of motivate her a little bit with the cookie. And
- 27:12Speaker 1: when I say cookie, it's like a it's like these
- 27:14Speaker 1: little cookies and then you break a when she gets
- 27:17Speaker 1: a cookie, it's they're that big, Yeah, and they're broken
- 27:19Speaker 1: in half. And then that's her one cookie for the night.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but that question right there. One and a half.
- 27:27Speaker 1: This is a good phase where hey, eat your food
- 27:31Speaker 1: or the tickle monster is going to get you, and
- 27:33Speaker 1: you get out the you know, you get at the
- 27:34Speaker 1: little spider hand and you crawl close and they start giggling.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Hurry up and eat your food. If it's like a
- 27:38Speaker 1: broccoli or chicken, whatever you're having for dinner, whatever you're
- 27:41Speaker 1: wanting to get them to eat for the main entre.
- 27:43Speaker 1: That's worked for me getting up out of my seated
- 27:47Speaker 1: dinner time and kind of like giving her a moment
- 27:49Speaker 1: to chew, and I go around the table and I
- 27:52Speaker 1: slowly start to approach her as the tickle monster is
- 27:54Speaker 1: going to get her. But if she eats the food quick,
- 27:57Speaker 1: tickle monster falls down, goes away, takes the power away,
- 28:01Speaker 1: takes the power away. But then at the end of
- 28:03Speaker 1: the chewing, the tickle monster starts to get power again.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Come back, come back to the one and a half. Yu, Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 1: that could be a method. It is tough, dude. It
- 28:13Speaker 1: is like negotiating with the terrorists. Man, Yes, you're trying
- 28:15Speaker 1: to get your kids to eat. But my update on
- 28:18Speaker 1: Rue is now it's got you know, you know how
- 28:20Speaker 1: I said, like, we had those moments where I just
- 28:24Speaker 1: tell her, I'm like, Okay, yeah, you don't sweetheart, you
- 28:26Speaker 1: don't have to eat.
- 28:26Speaker 2: You can be all done eating.
- 28:27Speaker 1: But then she's like she kind of feels that we're
- 28:30Speaker 1: not giving her anything that she's wanting. In that moment,
- 28:33Speaker 1: which is maybe some pushback or resistance or kind of
- 28:36Speaker 1: fighting with her about it or negotiating with her about it,
- 28:40Speaker 1: she kind of just pauses and looks at me and
- 28:42Speaker 1: she's like, do I get a cookie? And in the beginning,
- 28:46Speaker 1: it was like, no, sweetheart, you won't get a cookie
- 28:48Speaker 1: unless you're part of the CPC, the Clean Plate Club.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Now fast forward a couple of weeks, the standard is
- 28:55Speaker 1: the standard. Now I just simply, you know, mom or Dad,
- 28:58Speaker 1: we simply all we have to do is like, you know,
- 29:01Speaker 1: if I'm about to tell Rude to eat something, Charles,
- 29:04Speaker 1: stop me. Or Charles's about to tell it to eat something.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I'll stop charing. We'll just say, hey, they don't have
- 29:08Speaker 1: to eat. They don't have to eat their food.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Sweet ar.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You can be done eating. You can go to sell
- 29:11Speaker 1: on the couch, you can play, you can do whatever
- 29:12Speaker 1: you want. You don't have to eat anymore. If you
- 29:14Speaker 1: want to be done, you can be done. But you
- 29:17Speaker 1: know there's no cookie, so and that is what usually
- 29:20Speaker 1: gets rude to kind of think about it for a moment.
- 29:22Speaker 1: She might take a minute, but she comes back around,
- 29:23Speaker 1: she eats her food, and now we don't even have
- 29:26Speaker 1: to say the cookie part. Sweet Ar, you don't listen,
- 29:29Speaker 1: you know, be part of the clean plate club. That's fine,
- 29:31Speaker 1: but you know what the cost is. As long as
- 29:33Speaker 1: you know and understand that, you can be done if
- 29:35Speaker 1: your belly's full, but you won't get snacks, you won't like.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You can go play, you can go hang out. But
- 29:39Speaker 1: if you want to be done eating, you can be
- 29:41Speaker 1: done eating. And that's working. It's working. It's working. Rue
- 29:44Speaker 1: is three. I have a three year old and a
- 29:45Speaker 1: ten month old. For new listeners out there, yeah, that's huge,
- 29:50Speaker 1: big time. We feel really good about it. She's always
- 29:52Speaker 1: fired up when she eats her lunch too, like when
- 29:55Speaker 1: she comes home from school and she's like, oh, clean
- 29:57Speaker 1: plate club, or like yesterday she's like, I'm like, sweetheart,
- 30:01Speaker 1: how you know we were able? We lay in from
- 30:04Speaker 1: New York early afternoon. So I got to pick her
- 30:06Speaker 1: up yesterday from school. Yeah, so one picked her up
- 30:08Speaker 1: and surprise her, surprised her. I was gonna surprise her
- 30:11Speaker 1: with a flower. But I went to Walgreens thinking that
- 30:14Speaker 1: there would be flowers there, you know, like a time
- 30:16Speaker 1: to day.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Yeah, there's usually.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Flowers, like get her cheap little flower, bring it to her,
- 30:19Speaker 1: any sweetheart, give her a flower. There wasn't any flowers there,
- 30:23Speaker 1: So I got her like the small little snack, like
- 30:25Speaker 1: a little snack piece of candy, just to like fire
- 30:28Speaker 1: her up.
- 30:29Speaker 2: She'd be pump.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Dad was coming to pick her up. And then we
- 30:31Speaker 1: were kind of talking on the way home. I was like,
- 30:33Speaker 1: were you part of the clean play club?
- 30:34Speaker 2: She's like no.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I was like, you weren't part of the clean play club?
- 30:37Speaker 1: What happened? She's like, I didn't need the cucumbers. You
- 30:39Speaker 1: didn't need the cucumbers. We kind of slice them up
- 30:42Speaker 1: cucumbers because she usually enjoys them. She's like, no, I
- 30:45Speaker 1: was like, did you eat did you at least eat
- 30:47Speaker 1: a few cucumbers? She's like, no, I said, you didn't
- 30:49Speaker 1: eat one cucumber. No, sweetheart, you got to eat your cucumbers. Hey, listen,
- 30:54Speaker 1: Dad is not there when you're doing lunchtime. But just know,
- 30:56Speaker 1: if you got cucumbers in your lunch box, you don't
- 30:58Speaker 1: have to eat all of them, but it is. It
- 31:00Speaker 1: is good for your muscles, it's good for your brain
- 31:02Speaker 1: if you eat some cucumbers. Yeah, it's just food for thought.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Can just drive it home. But yeah, So that's an
- 31:08Speaker 1: update on some great question. By the way, great comment
- 31:11Speaker 1: that we got to hit there. Great question, but that
- 31:12Speaker 1: would be my advice for one and a half one
- 31:14Speaker 1: and a half year old around that time. You can
- 31:16Speaker 1: really tickle monsters alive and well in that stage of life.
- 31:20Speaker 1: So it's like utilizing that leveraging that power to get
- 31:23Speaker 1: them to that ad is gonna come.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Quick question for the boss man here as she gets older,
- 31:30Speaker 2: will you implement the you're not leaving the table when
- 31:33Speaker 2: I'm not leaving either until you take a couple of bites?
- 31:36Speaker 2: Uh plan. I don't know if anyone had to deal
- 31:38Speaker 2: with that as a kid. But that's a that's a
- 31:40Speaker 2: war for fucking attrition. I'll sit here until you move.
- 31:45Speaker 2: We're not leaving anywhere.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we don't like Rue's always the last
- 31:50Speaker 1: one to finish eating right, Like Taro and I, we
- 31:53Speaker 1: were like, food's down, we're hungry, we're ready to go.
- 31:55Speaker 1: And scott Zilla she's an absolute menace with the food.
- 31:59Speaker 1: And when she's done, it's she's just she just she
- 32:01Speaker 1: knocks it off. Just you know she's done. You know
- 32:04Speaker 1: she's done. Oh yeah, but Roue always takes a moment.
- 32:07Speaker 1: But yeah, we sit there until she gets done, and
- 32:10Speaker 1: I'm like, sweetheart, we want cookies too. I get that
- 32:12Speaker 1: it can't have a cookie until you eat your food.
- 32:14Speaker 1: And we don't like we don't leave until until she's done,
- 32:17Speaker 1: unless it's like, you know, something pressing is happening, or
- 32:20Speaker 1: say we haven't eat dinner around six thirty instead of
- 32:23Speaker 1: six or five forty five, and we got to get
- 32:25Speaker 1: Scottie to bedtime, start doing the dishes and everything else.
- 32:28Speaker 1: But usually one parent's there until she gets rolling. Yeah,
- 32:32Speaker 1: but if she's like I'm too tired or having a
- 32:34Speaker 1: fit and she starts, you know, she knows when she
- 32:37Speaker 1: is getting tired or she's usually it as an excuse.
- 32:40Speaker 1: We'll say, okay, we can be done eating, but we're not.
- 32:43Speaker 1: There's no TV coupons tonight. There's no you know, you
- 32:46Speaker 1: name all the things where she might get you. There's
- 32:48Speaker 1: no juice, there's no snacks, there's no cookie like, there's
- 32:52Speaker 1: no playtime if you're tired and you're being this crazy
- 32:56Speaker 1: like let's go upstairs right now and get ready for bed.
- 32:59Speaker 1: That might a couple of times that's happened, or she
- 33:01Speaker 1: takes us up on it. She goes to bed and
- 33:03Speaker 1: then she sleeps. You know, she's like thirteen hours of
- 33:04Speaker 1: sleep and she was tired. But you'll kind of stop
- 33:08Speaker 1: on her tracks like hey, I thought you want to
- 33:10Speaker 1: go to bed. Come on, we got your milk, let's
- 33:11Speaker 1: go upstairs. And she's like I'm hungry. It's like, well,
- 33:13Speaker 1: you have your dinner, so she'll eat her dinner. So
- 33:16Speaker 1: there is like that. Yeah, there's a lot of patient
- 33:18Speaker 1: sitting in the pocket.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Five year old in me has had some battles and
- 33:21Speaker 2: she I don't know, maybe when I was younger, I
- 33:23Speaker 2: can't tell you when I was like six or seven,
- 33:26Speaker 2: when I was like seven or eight. Old John used
- 33:30Speaker 2: to sit there and just stare me down and goes,
- 33:31Speaker 2: I'll sit here all night, and it would just be
- 33:34Speaker 2: we would sit there in dead silence, and he was like,
- 33:36Speaker 2: all you got to do is take five bites and
- 33:38Speaker 2: it'd be something I hated, and I'd be like no,
- 33:41Speaker 2: and I all right, I'll sit right here, and it's
- 33:43Speaker 2: like that's it and he knows that. It's like it's
- 33:47Speaker 2: a what's the Wolf of Wall Street? Whoever talks first loses. Yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 2: He would sit there and I mean we for a
- 33:54Speaker 2: long time, and eventually I would get maybe I would
- 33:57Speaker 2: give in, or I would go up to bet. My
- 33:58Speaker 2: dad would finally be like nine o'clock, kids, my Dad's like,
- 34:01Speaker 2: just go to bed.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 2: There's only gonna be two options from it.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh it s as a parent, you're thinking
- 34:08Speaker 1: of all the things like that they won't do in
- 34:10Speaker 1: between dinner time and bedtime, and it's like, all right,
- 34:14Speaker 1: march your little ass upstairs, or march your little ass
- 34:16Speaker 1: in that room.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 1: But yeah, you're sitting there and we're we're parents, like
- 34:21Speaker 1: we're I'll break like the parents leverage just bites of food,
- 34:26Speaker 1: say hey, three, give me three, Yeah, give me four,
- 34:29Speaker 1: and whenever his one and a half year old when
- 34:31Speaker 1: she's able to start kind of counting and they kind
- 34:34Speaker 1: of don't know then to go. Just like when you
- 34:35Speaker 1: witness Charro doing the jumping in the water or something
- 34:38Speaker 1: that Taylor's like, how many of the times do you
- 34:39Speaker 1: want to jump in? They can't count very high, So
- 34:41Speaker 1: we'll say, listen, you don't have to eat a lot,
- 34:43Speaker 1: but how many bites would you be willing to eat? Like,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you tell me how many bites, and that's what we'll do.
- 34:47Speaker 1: And they'll just randomly say like three or four and
- 34:50Speaker 1: they're like, You're like, all right, we can do that.
- 34:52Speaker 1: So that's a good tactic. You just gotta have You
- 34:54Speaker 1: gotta have a deep bag.
- 34:55Speaker 2: You gotta be creative when you're in that, when you're
- 34:58Speaker 2: in that faces.
- 34:59Speaker 3: We interrupt this episode to bring you one of our
- 35:03Speaker 3: favorite sponsors, True Classic. When it's to day at night,
- 35:09Speaker 3: Jilly Bean says, and you can all say it back
- 35:11Speaker 3: with me. She says, Sherman, go put on that T
- 35:15Speaker 3: shirt that you always get at Busting with the boys.
- 35:18Speaker 3: You got them all over the office. I say, honey,
- 35:20Speaker 3: that's my True Classic shirt. If it's me nice and snug,
- 35:25Speaker 3: it looks great. It's casual, yet has this really nice
- 35:28Speaker 3: appeal to it where you can throw some slacks on
- 35:31Speaker 3: with it, and you're walking into a nice restaurant. You
- 35:33Speaker 3: feel like you're dressed to impress. However, it is cold outside.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I get that. You're like, I don't want to wear
- 35:39Speaker 3: a shirt when it's freezing cold temperatures here in Nashville, Tennessee.
- 35:43Speaker 3: As winner quickly approaches. They also have hoodies. I'm rocking
- 35:47Speaker 3: one right now. They have pants, they have all kinds
- 35:50Speaker 3: of stuff, guys. True Classic has just launched a boy
- 35:56Speaker 3: line for the boy dad's out there you can match,
- 35:59Speaker 3: and honestly, it's way better than those awkward family photo
- 36:02Speaker 3: outfits or cheesy pajamas. You get to show up together,
- 36:06Speaker 3: feel comfortable, and actually look good doing it. The crazy
- 36:09Speaker 3: thing is True Classic has already sold over twenty five
- 36:13Speaker 3: million shirts to more than five million customers with over
- 36:16Speaker 3: two hundred thousand five star reviews, so I'm definitely not
- 36:20Speaker 3: the only dad who has figured this out. You can
- 36:23Speaker 3: find them at Amazon, Target, or even select Costco and
- 36:27Speaker 3: Sam's Club locations, or just head to True Classic dot com.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Forward slash for the dads. That's true, classic dot com
- 36:37Speaker 3: forward slash for the dads. Trust me, grab one and
- 36:41Speaker 3: you'll think me later.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I have a couple more djpac One on YouTube. Djpac
- 36:47Speaker 1: one will absolutely loot up. When he was telling us
- 36:50Speaker 1: about that twenty eight sweep counter, he needs to be
- 36:52Speaker 1: a coach later in life. We need an update. I
- 36:55Speaker 1: saw my man. He's like, hey, I got you. Yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 1: he sent a message in right talking about I don't
- 37:00Speaker 1: think where the game was.
- 37:01Speaker 2: He was talking about where the game was.
- 37:02Speaker 1: They played the day before the Red River shoot as
- 37:05Speaker 1: we're shooting. They play today as podcast. They play today now.
- 37:11Speaker 1: If you had an interest, take four our trip go
- 37:13Speaker 1: watching powder puff football third graders and fourth graders in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I think so. And he said he's going to give
- 37:20Speaker 1: that speech.
- 37:20Speaker 6: Sayatu, Oklahoma. Oh it's at the high school field. So
- 37:25Speaker 6: he said their flag football game is in Sayatuk, Oklahoma.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yeah, shout out DJ pack One, come on, DJ Katie
- 37:34Speaker 1: Jo's and Hans from YouTube. I'm so happy to see
- 37:37Speaker 1: Jill's instructions while she is away. I am this mom
- 37:40Speaker 1: because it makes me feel better to leave lists and information.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I don't do it because I don't think my husband
- 37:45Speaker 1: can handle it. I do it for me and I
- 37:47Speaker 1: know it's crazy. I want to put a I want
- 37:50Speaker 1: to just put a pause on that one, because that's
- 37:52Speaker 1: a great one to talk about. Recap your weekend. Yes
- 37:55Speaker 1: as a as a solo parent. Yes, this one's from
- 37:59Speaker 1: Black Parsons g one E on YouTube. Love the podcast. Boys.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Just want to say the wife and I have been
- 38:05Speaker 1: trying to have a baby for the past year and
- 38:06Speaker 1: a half. It's had its ups and downs in definitely
- 38:09Speaker 1: a stressful time. I'll listen to Busting all the time.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I'll deliver my ups truck. But my first four the
- 38:14Speaker 1: Dets podcast was episode seventeen. Y'all got me crying and laughing,
- 38:18Speaker 1: looking goofy on everyone's ring cameras. Second little ring camera
- 38:21Speaker 1: shout out today. But more importantly, after listening to episode seventeen,
- 38:25Speaker 1: I found out twenty four hours later, I'm going to
- 38:27Speaker 1: be a no, no, yes, super pumped and just want
- 38:32Speaker 1: to say thank you for keeping me entertained throughout the
- 38:34Speaker 1: week at work and for all the advice. Any advice
- 38:37Speaker 1: to handling a pregnant, hormonal wife would be greatly appreciated.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Laugh out loud ps y'all know about our news before
- 38:44Speaker 1: any of our family and even our parents. Love y'all.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Well, just real quick, yes, so sorry, that is Blake Parsons.
- 38:50Speaker 6: I put a typo.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so sorry. Okay.
- 38:52Speaker 6: I even told chef. I was like, I don't think
- 38:54Speaker 6: I fixed. That's a Blake Parson.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Blake. Just again, I read the prompter. I read the
- 38:58Speaker 1: tell prompter here that's yeah, yeah, oh the Black Parsons
- 39:06Speaker 1: aka Blake, Yeah, Blake Parsons.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Bro.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for hopefully being
- 39:10Speaker 1: a new listener who sticks around. I think you get
- 39:13Speaker 1: a lot of have a lot of fun with this podcast,
- 39:15Speaker 1: and then get a lot of stories and tips and
- 39:17Speaker 1: realize that you are part of a sick community. My advice,
- 39:21Speaker 1: we can give a couple couple easy ones, but you
- 39:24Speaker 1: can go back. I would say it would be very
- 39:26Speaker 1: fun for you to catch up on the podcast because
- 39:28Speaker 1: again we're only what eighteen nineteen deep now as you're
- 39:32Speaker 1: listening to this podcast, But there's a lot of good
- 39:34Speaker 1: info coming up. Cause Shurm, he was he wasn't a
- 39:39Speaker 1: dad yet when we started this podcast. Correct, Are you
- 39:43Speaker 1: just six weeks out from Scarlett Spurth. Yeah, six weeks
- 39:46Speaker 1: out from Scarlett spur So there's a lot of things
- 39:49Speaker 1: before that. We're I'm telling Shiram stuff. He's kind of
- 39:52Speaker 1: telling me what he's going through or dealing with with
- 39:54Speaker 1: the pregnant wife, not in like a negative way, but
- 39:56Speaker 1: just as we're sitting here talking about supporting your wife
- 39:58Speaker 1: and everything else. Obviously right when he has Scarlett, we've
- 40:02Speaker 1: been getting to go through Shrham's journey in real time.
- 40:06Speaker 1: It's scar scar is now.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Three months old, three months and some change, three months.
- 40:10Speaker 1: And some change almost three and a half. Three good,
- 40:13Speaker 1: and you can say three and a half, yeah, three
- 40:15Speaker 1: and a half she is.
- 40:19Speaker 3: It's been fourteen weeks, yeah, July third, so and then
- 40:24Speaker 3: we're October tenth, so yeah, yeah or something three months
- 40:27Speaker 3: in a week.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, but she.
- 40:31Speaker 3: It is fun thinking about when we started this podcast
- 40:34Speaker 3: and all the questions that I did have.
- 40:36Speaker 1: And it does help me still.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Some of the lessons that I learned from either comments
- 40:43Speaker 3: yourself are lessons of the week. So I would highly
- 40:47Speaker 3: advise going to the beginning of this podcast because there
- 40:51Speaker 3: are like a lot of good nuggets in there that
- 40:53Speaker 3: I still to this day, Like this is such a
- 40:57Speaker 3: fun show because we do how fun on here and
- 41:00Speaker 3: we joke around a lot, But there are a lot
- 41:03Speaker 3: of lessons that still to say, I'm like, damn, I'm
- 41:07Speaker 3: so lucky that I've kind of found my way into
- 41:10Speaker 3: this little community and that all these little lessons are
- 41:14Speaker 3: kind of floating in my brain.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Now.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah, there's and we are not professionals. That's about no, no, no,
- 41:19Speaker 3: not experts, not experts, but we.
- 41:23Speaker 1: He has some nuggets every now and then, maybe a
- 41:25Speaker 1: little hack, little dad hack for finding some of this advice.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I would advise, if you don't want to listen to
- 41:32Speaker 1: all of them, go through each one and scroll the
- 41:34Speaker 1: comments section on YouTube. All ones are sticking out with
- 41:37Speaker 1: dad tips, whether it's like if they're alluding to us
- 41:40Speaker 1: talking about your pregnant wife or anything else, maybe it's
- 41:43Speaker 1: like okay, in this episode that seems like they're covering
- 41:46Speaker 1: these topics. Another one I would recommend, My wife just
- 41:49Speaker 1: actually got a DM yesterday, like a long DM of
- 41:52Speaker 1: somebody who found our IVF podcast. We did an IVF podcast,
- 41:57Speaker 1: a Mother's Day pod on the Bust and with the
- 41:59Speaker 1: Boys channel where my wife and I go through IVF
- 42:02Speaker 1: and we talk a lot about supporting during pregnancy and
- 42:05Speaker 1: a lot of those ups and downs during a process
- 42:08Speaker 1: like that. So i'd recommend something like that, but that
- 42:10Speaker 1: could be an easy way if you don't have time
- 42:12Speaker 1: or you don't want to go through back, go through
- 42:13Speaker 1: the entire catalog before that's would recommend, but just skim
- 42:17Speaker 1: through the comments and see some of the topics that
- 42:19Speaker 1: I talked about. When one kind of hits home, then
- 42:21Speaker 1: assume that it's probably going to be in that episode.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I love that, and uh, be there, be there for
- 42:27Speaker 1: your wife, have fun. It's gonna be a crazy journey.
- 42:30Speaker 1: You're gonna absolutely kill it. It's about connection, not strength. Yes, connection,
- 42:34Speaker 1: that's the biggest takeaway if you can have one mantrace,
- 42:36Speaker 1: but not about staying strong, being strong, kind of being
- 42:39Speaker 1: that male monotone, keeping everything suppressed inside. It's no talk
- 42:43Speaker 1: about talk through your emotions, talk about her. She wants
- 42:46Speaker 1: to be scene, felt and heard. And it's not about
- 42:49Speaker 1: staying strong. It's about reconnecting with your with your gal.
- 42:52Speaker 2: That was great. Where was that you? It's about connection,
- 42:56Speaker 2: not strength.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I think we had Yeah, we had a
- 42:58Speaker 1: lesson we did at that one.
- 43:01Speaker 2: That's great.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Damn, that's really good. Going back to uh Katie, Jos
- 43:08Speaker 1: and Hans. She loved the instructions while Jewel's away she's
- 43:11Speaker 1: a mom makes her feel basically, I feel seen when
- 43:14Speaker 1: that gets said on the podcast. I don't do it
- 43:16Speaker 1: because I don't do it because I don't think my
- 43:19Speaker 1: husband can handle it. I do it for me, and
- 43:21Speaker 1: I know that's crazy. Give us a recap, bro break
- 43:25Speaker 1: us down last weekend.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Well, first off, is that the same Josen Hans from
- 43:30Speaker 3: last week?
- 43:32Speaker 2: We had a didn't we have a Josahans last week? Maybe?
- 43:35Speaker 1: So repeat offender, repeat missus Joshan, miss missus Jo's and Hans.
- 43:42Speaker 2: I love it. Yes, I labors.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Come out like Leonardo DiCaprio and a what was it
- 43:47Speaker 1: Once upon a Time in Hollywood?
- 43:49Speaker 2: Just coming up out of the chair. I do that.
- 43:52Speaker 1: That's exactly what I do.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Because we were I was reading it and then we
- 43:55Speaker 3: decided it was Josen Hans and then we went back
- 43:57Speaker 3: to Jo's and Hans. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, probably,
- 44:02Speaker 3: but yes, I uh to dive into that.
- 44:06Speaker 1: My crack cold one was the weekend with Scarscar.
- 44:12Speaker 3: It was Jill coming home to me, absolutely obliterating the
- 44:17Speaker 3: weekend alone with Scarscar the stories in the videos from
- 44:22Speaker 3: hanging out with Will at the Pumpkin Houses and Jill.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Calling me you have a great time. That was very fun.
- 44:30Speaker 1: It was kind of surreal. It was like a weird.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Moment of being out in public with a friend, but
- 44:37Speaker 3: like it's all about your kid, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 44:40Speaker 3: like that was my first time really kind of being
- 44:42Speaker 3: out there in the wild. But like my I don't
- 44:46Speaker 3: know if you could tell, but my brain was on
- 44:48Speaker 3: Scarlet the entire time.
- 44:49Speaker 1: From a standpoint of allow, Yes, that's when I started
- 44:52Speaker 1: to rip the backpack. Yes, remember when I put the
- 44:55Speaker 1: through the backpack punt. You're like, buddy, you don't have
- 44:56Speaker 1: to put the bag. I'll put the backpack on for you.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. I mean I was so sure, can
- 45:01Speaker 1: you turn around? I need to get this other bag?
- 45:02Speaker 1: And I'm like, you know, I turned around for him,
- 45:04Speaker 1: and he's on zipping getting stuff out of the bag.
- 45:06Speaker 1: I was like, no, wonder, Jill loves this. Yeah, that
- 45:09Speaker 1: was the most convenient thing in the entire world. And
- 45:12Speaker 1: shout out you for throwing the backpack on. But I
- 45:15Speaker 1: was so in my head, dude, because Jill wasn't there of.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Like I just kind of had her like voice in
- 45:22Speaker 3: my ear, just like what would would Jill be okay
- 45:26Speaker 3: if I was doing that? Like would she want me
- 45:28Speaker 3: to do that? She probably want me to turn the
- 45:31Speaker 3: stroller so the sun's not in Scarlet's face. And I'll
- 45:34Speaker 3: say it with Scarlet while Will is, you know, dancing
- 45:36Speaker 3: with Rue and Scottie and Charro was killing it as well.
- 45:43Speaker 2: But it was fun.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I did enjoy it, but the entire time I was
- 45:46Speaker 1: just kind of like, oh, you're operating, yeah, solo that.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I was like weirdly nervous with Scarlet, like out in
- 45:52Speaker 1: the wild.
- 45:54Speaker 2: But she crushed it. She did a really good joke.
- 45:57Speaker 1: She murdered it.
- 45:58Speaker 3: And I was overthinking the her falling asleep in the
- 46:01Speaker 3: car on the way there, and then I'm rolling up
- 46:03Speaker 3: and char was like, oh, she taking a nap, and
- 46:05Speaker 3: I'm like, oh fuck, she's not supposed to be taking
- 46:08Speaker 3: a nap, sherman, what are you doing.
- 46:10Speaker 1: It's like on the list she sleeps at these times. Yes,
- 46:13Speaker 1: I'm picking up Scarlet and I'm like, please stay awake,
- 46:16Speaker 1: please stay awake. But I mean I was overthinking it,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know, because they all ended up great.
- 46:21Speaker 2: She slept every single day.
- 46:23Speaker 3: It was only two nights I was by myself, but
- 46:26Speaker 3: she slept all the way through the night both nights,
- 46:29Speaker 3: which is crazy.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Shout out to Merlin.
- 46:31Speaker 1: We put a graphic out for Will Howard and his parents.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Hey, shout out.
- 46:36Speaker 1: The Steelers pets, Big Steelers, future Hall of Famer Will Howard.
- 46:42Speaker 1: But uh, dude, the Merlin rips. Scarlett's sleeping like a
- 46:47Speaker 1: champ in it.
- 46:48Speaker 3: And I'm not gonna lie that first morning when I
- 46:52Speaker 3: woke up, I legitimately was in a panic because I
- 46:55Speaker 3: was like.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I slept through Olliver crying. Yeah, she had to have
- 47:00Speaker 1: cried last night. And I have the monitor up. Oh
- 47:03Speaker 1: that's happened to me a couple of times when I'm
- 47:04Speaker 1: so low, And.
- 47:05Speaker 3: I know that Jill has that app even though she's
- 47:08Speaker 3: in Miami. She can get on the nanat app and
- 47:12Speaker 3: you can go through the highlights of the night on
- 47:15Speaker 3: the Nano app. That's a dad hacking itself. Yeah, so
- 47:20Speaker 3: sick survival kit. But I went through the highlights, did
- 47:24Speaker 3: not stir, didn't stir. So I had the monitor on,
- 47:29Speaker 3: I had the volume up.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Which is big time for parents out there that kind
- 47:33Speaker 1: of either remember those days or kind of just got
- 47:35Speaker 1: out of them or in them right now. Scar scars around,
- 47:38Speaker 1: you know, three months and some change, you're kind of
- 47:40Speaker 1: around that moment to where they could potentially start sleeping
- 47:43Speaker 1: through the night. Sure, met a couple of big dubs
- 47:45Speaker 1: over the weekend, which fires me up for you.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Jill's calling me, She's like, you haven't really told me
- 47:50Speaker 3: about like the park with Will, Like how was it?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Like, how was saying with the check out, have some
- 47:56Speaker 1: fun in me? And yeah's met CALLI.
- 47:59Speaker 2: He's god, get some heat those I was like, yo,
- 48:04Speaker 2: chill out.
- 48:05Speaker 1: He's all good, like we have fun type shit.
- 48:10Speaker 2: You don't need to worry.
- 48:11Speaker 3: We crushed it. And then obviously when she got I
- 48:14Speaker 3: told her all about it, because too, when.
- 48:15Speaker 1: You're when you're so like when you're going out and
- 48:17Speaker 1: hanging out with us, it's uh, you know, it's spooktober.
- 48:20Speaker 1: We're at the we're at cheek Wood, sick little setup
- 48:23Speaker 1: with the pumpkins everywhere, the food trucks, the live music.
- 48:27Speaker 1: There's a part of you too that's like, ah, man,
- 48:29Speaker 1: like I know my wife would love to be here
- 48:31Speaker 1: right now, and I'm getting out and this is like
- 48:33Speaker 1: my first time going to this park where it would
- 48:35Speaker 1: have been a great first family time to go to
- 48:37Speaker 1: this park. Yeah, so I feel. And then when you're
- 48:39Speaker 1: on the phone, you're like, we had fun. You're not
- 48:41Speaker 1: trying to dude it was awesome because you don't want
- 48:44Speaker 1: to bum them out. It's more like, hey, this is
- 48:47Speaker 1: a place we gotta go.
- 48:48Speaker 3: Yes, And I did have a different dad loss which
- 48:51Speaker 3: I can go into when we get there. By a
- 48:53Speaker 3: small dad loss I learned very quickly was after I
- 48:57Speaker 3: dropped off Jill at the airport on Friday and recorded
- 49:00Speaker 3: with y'all. And y'all remember how I was bragging of, like, Yo,
- 49:04Speaker 3: Scarlet killed the morning nap and like killed it with
- 49:08Speaker 3: the babysitter. Scarlet went into a two hour scream session,
- 49:15Speaker 3: full on, like starting to turn purple scream session. I'm
- 49:20Speaker 3: just sitting there, you know, holding her so close to
- 49:22Speaker 3: my chest and rocking up and down, trying the walking
- 49:25Speaker 3: in the neighborhood. That's not working. Jill gets on FaceTime
- 49:30Speaker 3: as soon as she lands, is everything okay, blah blah blah. Well,
- 49:33Speaker 3: you know, she she gave me hell for two hours there,
- 49:36Speaker 3: but she's good. Now, what does that mean?
- 49:39Speaker 2: What do you mean? She gave you help.
- 49:41Speaker 3: I lied to her so fast and she knows when
- 49:44Speaker 3: I lie. Yeah, I'm a bad liar. But yeah, I
- 49:47Speaker 3: was like, I'm kidding, I can't. I'm sorry. That was
- 49:50Speaker 3: not funny joke. And she did not give me.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Hell. She's been great, she's been great, but.
- 49:55Speaker 2: That was a dad loss that layer.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Now. I was like, yeah, she was screaming real bad,
- 49:58Speaker 1: and I switched up quick. How was your mental throughout
- 50:02Speaker 1: the screenfest? Because I have a screamfest. I have a screamfest.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Story mentals were good as far as the only thing
- 50:09Speaker 1: that I hate about it is when Scarlet screams so
- 50:12Speaker 1: much that it, uh and this is gonna be really
- 50:14Speaker 1: bad radio, but it like literally turns into like a.
- 50:20Speaker 2: And then the face just.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Turns purple because she's not breathing, like because her scream
- 50:24Speaker 3: that has gone so long that she didn't just sit there.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Like and I'm like, breathe please, oh my god.
- 50:33Speaker 2: And then she'll finally go.
- 50:36Speaker 3: Do like a big free then and then scream war
- 50:39Speaker 3: And that was the only part that really freaked me out.
- 50:42Speaker 3: But well, we'll get into it with the Survival Kid.
- 50:47Speaker 3: I found out that Scarlett is a sick of for
- 50:50Speaker 3: the baby flash cards. That's what got me through the weekend.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Yeah, the little kid, they love the flash cards, love
- 50:56Speaker 1: the flash cards, And so it all figured itself out.
- 51:00Speaker 3: And I was trying like some of the stuff that
- 51:03Speaker 3: I used to do when she was younger and not
- 51:05Speaker 3: as attentive of just like, hey, let's go outside, that
- 51:08Speaker 3: kind of gets her happier. Let's put her in the
- 51:10Speaker 3: stroller that kind of gets her happy, or put her
- 51:13Speaker 3: in the baby bajorn that kind of gets her happy,
- 51:15Speaker 3: and bounce her.
- 51:16Speaker 1: But she wanted like interaction. She wanted to play.
- 51:21Speaker 3: And once I got her in that playpen and started
- 51:24Speaker 3: doing her little foot to hands stretches and pushing her
- 51:27Speaker 3: in and doing the rotisserie chicken rolls, and then started
- 51:31Speaker 3: going apple Moon, Yeah, Apple Moon, and she's like sitting
- 51:38Speaker 3: there like each time I'd flip over the car and
- 51:41Speaker 3: she was loving it. So I did, like mentals were
- 51:44Speaker 3: eh during the screaming, but it was a quick fix
- 51:48Speaker 3: and then she didn't give me any trouble for the
- 51:50Speaker 3: rest of the weekend.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Whyfe come home to a clean house?
- 51:53Speaker 3: Yeah, But like she also said that, it was like
- 51:57Speaker 3: she was like, you did a good job. I just
- 52:00Speaker 3: want you to know you did a great job, and
- 52:02Speaker 3: I see where the effort was made in the house.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Yes, sir, Yes, sir, you're I like the picture.
- 52:12Speaker 1: You're like sitting in the chair and leaned up on
- 52:14Speaker 1: your elbows on knees, and she's like standing like I
- 52:17Speaker 1: want you.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I see she's walking, she's walking back and forth.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I see where all the effort was. You did
- 52:24Speaker 1: a great job. Yeah, that delivers the butt.
- 52:26Speaker 3: And when I but when I come home and I
- 52:29Speaker 3: see that the bottles are still in the washer and
- 52:32Speaker 3: the washer hasn't been started yet, that's the kind of
- 52:36Speaker 3: things that we need to be perfect.
- 52:39Speaker 1: When I see that the you did the laundry. You
- 52:42Speaker 1: did the laundry, but it's still in the dryer. Why
- 52:45Speaker 1: is it not folded? Why is it not put up? Yeah,
- 52:49Speaker 1: I'm looking around. I say, okay, he did our laundry.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Let's go check Scarlet's laundry. And I look in Scarlet's
- 52:55Speaker 1: hamper and man, it's full of clothes. That's the ship
- 52:59Speaker 1: that will gate you beat.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm saying, yes, sir, yes, sir.
- 53:03Speaker 1: But sweetheart, no, no, no, you're not hearing me. We're gonna
- 53:06Speaker 1: build on the good you did a great job. I
- 53:08Speaker 1: see the effort. We're gonna build on those patchy on
- 53:11Speaker 1: the ass. Yeah, yeah, we gotta eliminate the bad bottles
- 53:15Speaker 1: aren't all the way clean. Yeah, laundry is not all
- 53:18Speaker 1: the way folded. It's in the dryer. That's bad. That
- 53:21Speaker 1: we got to correct. Yes, sir, those are fixable, yes, sir.
- 53:24Speaker 1: But the clothes in the hamper, that's the ship that
- 53:27Speaker 1: gets you beat. And I will not hesitate, yes, sir,
- 53:31Speaker 1: to send I was gonna say something, really and I
- 53:37Speaker 1: will not hesitate to send your fat ass packing down
- 53:40Speaker 1: to Texas and you can live with oh your old man. Sure, yes, sir, I.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Thought I was really gonna take a turn.
- 53:50Speaker 1: You're gonna say, you like, send a little tip to
- 53:54Speaker 1: the tip line to CPS, put your name on.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Oh Jill, WHOA So all good? It was good.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Things are correct, Yeah, I mean like the pillows were fluffed,
- 54:08Speaker 3: they were chopped, blankets are folded there, but you know,
- 54:11Speaker 3: on the top of the sofa tight tight play pin,
- 54:15Speaker 3: the cards are put up. Everything's kind of in order.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Like I hit all the big stuff. I hit all
- 54:20Speaker 3: the stuff. That coach is gonna sit there pat you
- 54:22Speaker 3: on the butt. But little details here and there. I did, miss,
- 54:26Speaker 3: I did, miss. I wasn't upset with did you receive
- 54:28Speaker 3: the coaching?
- 54:29Speaker 1: I love how we both touched our hats at the
- 54:31Speaker 1: same time too, getting did you receive the coaching well?
- 54:34Speaker 1: Or you handle it like I've been making plays all season.
- 54:38Speaker 1: Coach missed me with that story.
- 54:40Speaker 3: She was coming at me like saban where like we're
- 54:42Speaker 3: up thirty in the nattie and like we had a
- 54:45Speaker 3: false start, and hell, yeah, I had a false start,
- 54:48Speaker 3: which hey, hey, coded that just means he loved me.
- 54:51Speaker 3: When he yelled me, like, yeah, that just means he
- 54:52Speaker 3: loved me.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:53Speaker 3: He doesn't yell at the guys on the bench. He
- 54:57Speaker 3: yells at the starters. Like That's how it felt. Yeah,
- 55:00Speaker 3: And so I felt great.
- 55:01Speaker 2: I did.
- 55:02Speaker 3: I took no offense to it, and I got like
- 55:05Speaker 3: all a's on my report card and I was, I
- 55:07Speaker 3: was on cloud nine.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel you on the eliminated You gotta eliminate
- 55:11Speaker 1: the ship to get your beat mine? Was that a
- 55:13Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago when that oil that what was
- 55:16Speaker 1: the oil called the oils that sit on the central
- 55:20Speaker 1: essential oil? Yes, the essential oil spilt and I miss it.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Remember when roue knocked over the lamp, but I fixed
- 55:25Speaker 1: the lamp. I'm like, I forgot about that and kind.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Of left the oils in there. Yeah, that was It's
- 55:31Speaker 2: a tough one.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Whme, coach, my coach sleeve been at home, love you
- 55:35Speaker 1: sweet eyes. Yeah that's all me, coach. That one wasn't
- 55:38Speaker 1: on me. Wait what was your screaming story? You said, screaming?
- 55:42Speaker 1: So yeah, this is, this is, this is I have
- 55:46Speaker 1: a few dad losses. Oh no, screaming story, scott Zilla.
- 55:51Speaker 1: So it was Sunday. We had a great little family weekend. Obviously,
- 55:55Speaker 1: on Saturday we went to the cheek Wood met you there.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Great weekend, great weekend. Sunday we had the Titans watch party.
- 56:02Speaker 1: We had to go to down the Brook, that's right.
- 56:04Speaker 1: And that was around what one thirty. Yeah, that kicked off.
- 56:06Speaker 1: So in the morning time, we're juice in the morning
- 56:09Speaker 1: time for family time. What an opportunity to get better
- 56:11Speaker 1: as a family. So we go down to Franklin. Hit
- 56:14Speaker 1: one of our I think it's called Hanks. Oh great,
- 56:17Speaker 1: got some lot, had some great vibes. Believe I saw
- 56:21Speaker 1: a PT sixer in there or no, no, no, no.
- 56:23Speaker 1: When I came up and ordered at Hanks. You know,
- 56:27Speaker 1: I was like, I'll take the yogurt. I'm gonna get two.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I want I want a seasonal lat and I also
- 56:32Speaker 1: want a nice Americano two drinks for myself. Wife got
- 56:36Speaker 1: something and then we're talking about ru or something like
- 56:39Speaker 1: which one of these you want? Like, let's we got
- 56:41Speaker 1: a line behind us, and she's like, uh, do you
- 56:45Speaker 1: do a podcast like Bust with the Boys. Like yeah,
- 56:48Speaker 1: She's like, Oh, my husband or boyfriend whoever was, It's like,
- 56:51Speaker 1: he loves you guys. Oh shout out. So caught a
- 56:54Speaker 1: Tier one okay six moment possibly in the wild. But
- 56:58Speaker 1: after Hanks, we want to go on a nature walk.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Wife loves nature walks. She's like, if I have a
- 57:03Speaker 1: core value for my wife or something that I love
- 57:06Speaker 1: about her that goes This is like an opposite of
- 57:10Speaker 1: what Willy sees about. But it's being adventurous. Yeah, you know,
- 57:13Speaker 1: your boy, I can, I can, I can wal. I
- 57:16Speaker 1: can sit at home all day long. Hey that's okay, man,
- 57:19Speaker 1: But my guy loves nature walks. Yeah yeah, yeah, so
- 57:22Speaker 1: we love nature walks.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Yes.
- 57:24Speaker 1: And when I'm saying yeah, we can go do this
- 57:26Speaker 1: nature walk, I'm assuming we're gonna go to a nearby
- 57:28Speaker 1: park or something.
- 57:29Speaker 2: I haven't heard about it, and we're gonna we're gonna.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Skip around the pond, take a few family photos, enjoy
- 57:36Speaker 1: the fresh air and sunshine before NFL Sunday kicks off.
- 57:41Speaker 1: This day, what time is this, by the way, we're
- 57:43Speaker 1: probably probably ten o'clock when we leave Hanks. Oh wow,
- 57:47Speaker 1: leave Hanks. So we're pushing it a bit. This nature
- 57:50Speaker 1: walks forty five minutes outside of Franklin. This drive forty
- 57:56Speaker 1: forty five minutes. I don't really say nothing. I stay composed, honestly,
- 57:59Speaker 1: never bring it up. This is probably the first time,
- 58:01Speaker 1: so I know my wife trust me, and my wife.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Listens to these episodes. As a matter of fact, it's
- 58:05Speaker 2: a couple.
- 58:05Speaker 1: It's a couple of my dad losses in here we're
- 58:10Speaker 1: driving and Scott he's pissed off, like during throughout the
- 58:16Speaker 1: entire drive. Rue's doing a great job being a big sister,
- 58:20Speaker 1: staying composed. Sweetheart. We we can't listen to the Claw
- 58:23Speaker 1: song anymore. The Claw Song is the Halloween theme music
- 58:26Speaker 1: song with Michael Myers. She just want some spooky music
- 58:28Speaker 1: on my sweetart. We gotta put on the sleep time song,
- 58:32Speaker 1: the good Night song that uh corner. We gotta play
- 58:37Speaker 1: that song for Scott's will so she can calm down.
- 58:39Speaker 1: She doesn't calm down the entire drive. She's she's sideways,
- 58:42Speaker 1: bro sideways. Can't get her calm down on the drive.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I'm trying back there. I'm trying to like hole and
- 58:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to like rattle the goddamn car seat.
- 58:52Speaker 2: And I got it.
- 58:57Speaker 1: And we get to this to the Parker for the
- 59:01Speaker 1: nature walk and stuff in an awesome spot, and she's
- 59:06Speaker 1: still screaming the pretty much the entire nature walk. Oh
- 59:11Speaker 1: Charo had her shrap to her body and Chroo want
- 59:14Speaker 1: to go me and ru. It's kind of like a story.
- 59:16Speaker 1: It's kind of like a storybook trail walk toward they
- 59:18Speaker 1: have stuff for kids at like, you know, every twenty
- 59:20Speaker 1: yards there's like a little story as reading about nature
- 59:23Speaker 1: and stuff going on. It's a I'm enjoying that for
- 59:25Speaker 1: a few moments with Rude, but we're like, Scotty, won't
- 59:28Speaker 1: calm down, won't calm down. This ain't the Scottie we
- 59:32Speaker 1: know and love and appreciate and respect and admire. This
- 59:36Speaker 1: is a one to eighty. Her heart's black and there's
- 59:39Speaker 1: no there. It seems like there's no light at the
- 59:41Speaker 1: end of the tunnel. With her, it's like a year
- 59:43Speaker 1: three Max Square, Yeah, the year three Max Crosby, relentless
- 59:47Speaker 1: effort to be pissed off. And we're trying to feed
- 59:50Speaker 1: her the bottle and she's drinking the bottle a little bit,
- 59:52Speaker 1: but then she starts, like starts screaming again. It's like, man,
- 59:55Speaker 1: what is going on with her? You can tell she's tired.
- 59:58Speaker 1: She's like trying to fall asleep. She needs a nap
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and she just won't. She's either overtired. She's going batshit
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: bro and Charles. She's like Charle gets a point where
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: she's stop and she's like jumping to kind of like
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: homeber down the rocker. We look like crazy people. People
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: are walking by. Now you doing You guys are gonna
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: figure it out. You love these times and I'm thinking
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: we want to get jo. They're saying that to you
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: as they're like, say, somebody's running yea yeah, the other
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: come by they might chuckle, or there's a family walking
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: by us.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I missed with mine.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: We're now yeah, I'm missy missed with the I miss
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: those agents tough when you guys will figure it out.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And I'm thinking we have not figured this one out yet.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: And so I'm like, sweetheart, let me. I'm getting I'm
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: getting frazzled. I'm like, let me, let me take her, like,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'll strap her. I'm thinking in my head, I'll get
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: her to sleep. I'll put this child down. And she's like,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: she's screaming. I'm like, sweetheart, just I think I can
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: get her down. And you wanted to do the nature walk.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: You should enjoy the nature walk aspect as much as
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you can't, even though she's crying, bat you right now, like,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: let me deal with like, let me deal with all
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: this so I get her. I can't calm her down.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I'm getting bro, I'm telling you, I'm doing my I'm
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: doing some zone two cardio like I'm getting frustrated to
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: the point where I'm doing the same things as Charles
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: because I'm thinking, all right, Charles getting a little you know,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Charles starts jumping and I'm like, hey, let's let's hang
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: on now. She's ten months old. I get her and
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I'm dealing with her. I get to that point I'm like, yo,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you got to relax, bro, Just fall asleep. And go
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: to like, just go to sleep, you drink all the milk,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you should be good. Yeah, and she's not.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, I'm pattner.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: And then it gets a little too loud, so I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: patter a little horder. I'm get your little to sleep,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: and I'm getting to her. I'm basically I'm basically running
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: the whole time trying to get her calmed down. I realize,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And here's the dad hack comes out of it. A
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: dad hat comes out of it, because we love to
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: dress up our little Kiddosy Scotty's ten eleven months old.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Here's what I think it was. We won't know until
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I guess it happens again. But she's got shoes on,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: so we got it in her little outfit. But she's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: wearing these little nikes. Yeah, and you know, when they're
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: that young, they're not used to having shoes on. So
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: imthinking in my head, like what if she just doesn't
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: like shoes and stuff on her feet right now, Like
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: as she's trying to fall asleep, take off her shoes,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: take off her socks, put them in the backpack. She's
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: out within five minutes. So a dub comes out of it.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: A little dad hacked her. I'm thinking I go to Charo.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I'm like, she's like is she sleeping? And you know
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I'm covering the sun any angle so nothing can wake
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: her up because I'm like, yo, this has been an hour,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: legitimately an hour of hell with her. I'm like, hey,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I think it was the shoes. She's like you think, so,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know if she's asleep now. I
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: did take them off, and when she was getting a
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: little frazzled, like I just when she was like starting
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to fall asleep, but I just like constantly feel her
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: like kicking her feet. I'm just like, sweetheart, just go
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: to sleep. But whenever I took her shoes off, she
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: was out. So I'm thinking it was the shoes. The
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: toes were just a little yeah yeah, Like you know, again,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: they're babies.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: They're not used to having.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: You might dress them up and stuff like that and
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: they're good, but once you get them in the car
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: seat and everything, God just say, if you're wanting to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: fall asleep, just make sure the shoes are off. That
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: was my like takeaway from it. But he got got
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: dicey for a minute, and I'm wearing the good hat.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: So fortunately, I'm like, I am trying to constantly remind
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: myself because I'm starting to get pissed off about it.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I'm like, Yo, what is what is happening right now?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: We can't even enjoy We can't even be there that
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: long because we got to drive all the way back
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: so that way I can get to the watch party. Yeah,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: but got her to sleep shoes, knocked out the rest
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: of the little nature walk whatever we had left, and
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I was knocked out the entire.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Car right home.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: But praise praise a couple other dad losses my wife, Yeah,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you got a list going, Yeah, what's going on? I
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: forget exactly what we were talking about last week, but
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: it was where one of them was like maybe one
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: of the kids were struggling. I'm thinking, oh daughter, oh
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: dad guilty being away and the kids being all being tough,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: and I'm feeling bad.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: For the game.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I'm all, poor Scottie or poor this because we got
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: over it like hand mouth foot sweet. I hear you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: talking about like, oh, poor the girls, but what about
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: poor wifey?
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: I go, you're right. You listen to that episode. I
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: didn't mention you at all. I could have sworn you
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: didn't listen.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but she's right times when we're thinking about the
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: dad guilt and everything else and like, oh, poor little kidd,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Oh dad guilt. I feel guilty, hate it for the kid. Yeah,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: wife's going through it at home. So I want to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: shout out, sweetheart, Charo. I know you're listening right now,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: probably in the car, because anytime we get into a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: family trip and we turn the car on this these
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: episodes kind of pop on first from what you recently
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: listened to. I'm like, oh, you're checking out for the dad,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: So I know you're listening right now. I love you,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I do appreciate you. I see you, And it is
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: always empathy with wifey. I just want to say that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and not shutting out. My wife was a dad loss.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Shout out Chara, shout out char another. Just dad losses
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: in general for the dads out there not getting home
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: when you say you're getting home, it's a dad loss.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Like my wife might hit me up, hey when you
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: think you're going to be home today from the shop,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and I might just throw her a number, like if
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: we're doing this pod right now and it's eleven fifty
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: two and she's like, hey, when do you think you'll
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: get home, My dumbass would probably say like twelve thirty.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, twelve forty.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Five, then come rolling in a one thirty or something
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: like that. Or you get a text after the time
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you're supposed to be home, like, hey, was you know
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: everything good? How far out?
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, everything all right?
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: Over it? What are you up to? I know what
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: you know?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: And you're kind of checking in? Am I almost home?
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: But uh, that's a dad loss, because a dad hack.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Don't ever tell your wife when you're coming home. Yeah,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: don't ever give her a time. Yeah, you know, we
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: got a couple of things to do here, be home underpromise,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: over delivered. I'll be home at eight pm. I'm missing dinner.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Then you get to show up like a superhero when
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: you're walking through the door around four threw.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: You ain't gonna see me for a week. I'm gonna
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: be gone for a week.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Yeah. I cannot agree with you more on that.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: And I need to start because and shout out to
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: my loving wife, Jilly Bean, shout.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Out to him and full accountability, accountabilities because I do
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: the old Hey, honey, that party we gotta go to
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: It starts at three o'clock. Yeah, we gotta be there
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: by three because I know we ain't gonna be ready
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: and out the door till three forty five.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Sometimes because it jilly Bean, love you, jilly Bean, I
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: need to do the same for when I'm coming home.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: I need to put the Shurm time on it. Yeah,
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: because I put the jilly Bean time on it.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Sometime, either put the Shirm time on it or again,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: because we're not gonna tell our wives when we're coming home.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, or just hold yourself true
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to when you're gonna be home. Also, like last week
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: when we were talking about going to the Little Pumpkin Deal, Yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I said, what eleven twelve, we're gonna be there at eleven,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: come through eleven, eleven thirty. He don't show up till twelve, fifteen, twelve, fifteen,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: twelve twenty, but we wouldn't get there until eleven forty five. Yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: we're trying after our little thing.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Well, and I.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: Will say I should have done a better job of
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: reaching out to you that morning.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: That was on me.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: This is exactly where the dudes mess up. Yeah, like
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you're saying that, I fully empathy. I understand what's going
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: on inside your brain and your body, your mind, the heart.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: And soul, because I don't want to pressure y'all into
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: going if stuff is, you.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Don't want to pressure, you don't want to let down.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: You're like, I'm gonna say this, I'm going to say
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: this time, and then it happens like traffic, it's been
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: forty five minutes, Well kind of traffic.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: You didn't see that wreck?
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Well no, I should have called you guys
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: and been like, hey, are we still on for the
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: pumpkin patch? Because when it was like rolling to the time,
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I haven't heard anything because we
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: hadn't talked after the text.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Yeah, because there's no pressure.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: There was no privigious like we're talking in the in
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the theories of these examples.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Yes, and so I needed to do a better job
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: because I was excited to go. I should have texted
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: you have been like bro stoked for the pumpkin patch,
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: stoked for cheek wood. You guys still thinking eleven thirty twelve,
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: blah blah blah.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I had one just this week, you know, we had
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: to do George Kittle's podcast. Yes, I was supposed to
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: go at three, all heart out at four podcasts on
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: stuntil three thirty four, is there? I know you guys
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: have a heart out. We're like, oh, we can keep going.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Rue had a swim lesson, so I had to be
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: home for the nanny at four thirty to take over
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: for Scotty.
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I don't leave the shop until for thirty. Oh no,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I get off the podcast, which we got done with
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the pod around four twenty.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I had a text for my wife around like, let's
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: just call it four oh seven, four.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Ten on your way.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, you you're.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Gonna be on a four thirty right, Like I'm at
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: to swim lesson with Rue.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I just text my wife because I get off the bus,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: run to my truck boys, I gotta go leave my
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: iPad here. I just text my wife. Oh no, then
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I'm driving. I'm driving on the highway. I get on
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: my phone. Just slip one hundred dollars venmo. I know
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: my nanny Nanny, textan nanny Texan Danny, and I don't
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: say anything. I just under U because I've done it,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: not like a couple of times, but say, I gotta
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: be on four thirty. I'm like, hey, ETA's four thirty
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: four or something like that you might get backed up.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: On one of those main roads.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: So knowing that I've had, it's a mystery of letting
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: her know run a late I'm so sorry. I just
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I skipped the sorry stuff and I just sent her
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: a Venmo and the subject line was running late, I'm
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: sorry and just one hundred dollars venmo.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: I bet she hopes you run late every Friday.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: She just laughed, you don't have to send me this
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: is totally okay.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: I'm like, I do.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I truly it pains me when I It gives me
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: anxiety when I know I'm letting people down or feel
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: like I'm disrespecting their time by not being on time.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: But another dad lass, I was late.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: But yeah, those are some good dad loss We got
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: good dad losses.

- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Crack a col I. I had a quick dad loss.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: It's the scarscar is just in between diaper sizes right now, Okay,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: size one too small, Size two is too big, and
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: so it's like we're overflow the poopy and size one.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Dips combs out because it's so compressed.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Because it's so compressed, and then size two it's leaking
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: out the legs with the pp.
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: And you got the right, yes, dude, just strap that motherfucker.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: How long we we are I'm talking, oh.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Besides too we I mean that thing is you know, yeah, and.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: We're folded folding the leg parts out.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: I mean.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: It's crazy, Yeah, it's tough, it's tough, but yeah that's
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: my that's my dad loss.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: So uh, crack of Cold one already went on. Looks
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: you get in the story, like the entire story of
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: the nature walk had some dad hacks, some losses, some
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: way a w FO trenches. You just tell the story.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: If you got a loss or a hack within that.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: There it is.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: I'm done. I did.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I didn't like a cold one, but I have a
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: real crack of cold one. What happened?
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: Scotty started to taking a couple of steps? Wait really?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Got a text on uh on Wednesday from Charro like
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Scotty took Scottie took her first step or something like that.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: What And you know, I'm thinking of my push her down,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: don't let her like dad has got to do.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Let her take some steps.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: But yeah, bro, she's like taking She's like very they're
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: like very small, but she's figuring it out. You know,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I thought she was gonna walk early. I saw this, dude.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: I could see it in the five minutes that we
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: were at cheek Wood. The way she's pulling herself up
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: on our stroller, your stroller, just crawling, crawl, leaves all
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: over the wait, crawled over to another family, saying and
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: starts climbing up on their looks, letting them know, hey,
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: scott Zilla's here.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, shout out, shut up.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: He shout out.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: But yeah, so crag cole one Scott, he's kind of
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: taking her first step. She loves to hold like these
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: little like, you know, I might take objects she's playing with,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: because of course she doesn't want to try and walk
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: when we're trying to get her to walk, she wants
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: to just fall down on her button crawl and but uh,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: like taking a little objects she plays with, I'm kind
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: of like holding them. If it's something small enough, I
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: kind of holding my teeth and I'm like holding her
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: up and I'm like, scotty him, come get it. And
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: she's like standing there and she like, you know, hands up,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: and she like takes like two little ones and falls down.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: But Bro, she's getting there.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: She's getting there for first steps, and by the time
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: this pod comes out, maybe she will have taken her
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: first steps. So try to get some video so we
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: can loop it in here. But bro, get a crack
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: a cold one.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Crack a cold one, and also I cracked a cold
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: little form energy into one of our PT six whiskey glasses.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Yes, so my man who's talking about wife's out of town,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: he hates it. She crack open the whiskey and poured
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: into a nice glass. There are some nice glasses for
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: the PT six sick goes out there. Holiday season is
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: coming up. BT six Whiskey Glasses at btwtv dot com.
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: I also have to give a shout out a crack
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: a cold one to Scott Zilla's dance moves. I don't
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: think I've ever been inspired by a infants dance moves
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: like that before. The sheer energy that's coming off of
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Scott Zilla. It's palpable, the one hand on whatever she's
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: holding to bounce herself, and then this hand is doing
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: almost like a booty slap but not quite.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: And then also the hey, she'll look up at you
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: at charos.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: She even looked at me. She she'll stop while she's
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: dancing and go, yo, you seeing the ship. Once you
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: lock eyes with her, then.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: She yeah, yeah, it's crazy's out there riding the horse man.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: Riding the horse. She's letting people know Scott Zilla is
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: here to stay.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, here to stay. Yeah.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: It's the new draft class. Yeah, yeah, it's the first
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: round pick. You see those rookies coming up. You say
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: he's starting for the long man. You gotta keep the
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: shoes off of her. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah she's
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: a stud Man survival kit. Mind, simply survival kit. What
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: a time of the year and a shouting out to
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: October just a Halloween costume. No better time as a
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: new parent or as a parent and getting your little
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: one in a costume that they love. I was trying
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: to talk Rue into Deadpool. Be a Deadpool, Oh to
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: be Deadpool. For trying to talk her into some cool
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: costumes that I think would be funny or cool. Yeah,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: we ended up on a fairy dress, ordering a fairy
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: dress off to post it. But she loves princess. You
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: don't want to be Shrek? Yeah, Rue, Rue, it wouldn't
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: be Batman? Yes, hey, Rue, you want to shave your
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: head like your dad. We put you in a wheelchair.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: You'd be Professor x Yo Dad at gonna be Bane?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: You could be Batman. You want to be a joker.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: You want to be the beast. Paint your blue? Why
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: are you trying to dress up as the beauty when
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: you could be the beef? My wife and I were
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: looking right now, we're trying to find a little wolverine
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: costume for Scottie.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: That would be unreal, that'd be unreal.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Might just on fund her a Godzilla costume. Yeah, you
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: just put a dinosaur costume. Yeah, I mean literally would
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: be perfect. She would crush. But Halloween costumes for Survival Kid,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: she's an absolute mustering Halloween parents know this, like there's
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: it's so fun to dress a little one up in
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: a costume.
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: We got a good one for I think I told
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: you on the phone, but we got to going for
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Scarlett Jill found on Etsy.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: It's creative, it's fun. It's easy.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: Throw a little white onesie on him.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Get some cotton balls, you dip them in some pink spray,
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: pam and pink so she looks like cotton candy. And
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: then you put a little cotton candy cone on her head.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Gosh, you guys are going to be obsessed.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: And then you put aprons on the parents with cotton
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: candy all over our aprons because we made the cotton candy.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: That's kind of funny.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome. When rush her first, like round one
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: or whatever I want to say.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: We had her as like the Michelin Man. That's genius.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: That's something where she just you know, arms out, just
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: puff all around her and she was adorable.
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: Bro throw the like Ralphie from Christmas story. Yeah, oh yes,
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: and he's got all the.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: La Christmas story bro so on Christmas every year growing
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: up my mom, it was mandatory that Christmas story was
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: just on loop throughout the entire day.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: That's o clo. That's how you must have every Christmas.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you'll shoot your eye out.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: You have nothing more adorable than some costumes. But because
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you know, you just got you love kissing your little
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: one so much, like so much, you just tell them
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: like I could take out a steak knife and eat
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you up. I could put your cheek, I could put
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: your cheeks in the oven at three seventy five for
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: ten minutes and eat your little cheeks up, consume you. Yeah,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you just love too much. You know when they're a
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: little like it's gonna sound weird, but when you're just
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: giving them kisses and smooches and they're like, cheek kind
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: of gets in your lips a little bit. That sounds wild.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: But that sounds wild, It sounds wild, but you just
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: you're you love it. I will say Scarlett has now begun.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: This is breaking, this is breaking. We've been doing kisses
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: for a while now and she is just now starting
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to realize what kisses are. Jill and I will give
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: kisses to each other in front of skillet and she
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: like kind of lights up and it's like, Yo, what.
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: Hey, what's going on?
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: And now when we go in to give her kisses
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: and go go in to give her kisses, she doesn't
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: know how to do like right, a true kissy thing,
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: but she goes like this with their lips.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: She's trying. Yeah, she's trying. It's the cutest singing the world, dude.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: Bro.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: The the the arc of kisses are is the best
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: because you and your wife you'll be showing like you know,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: whether it's hugs, like anytime Tarn and I was doing
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: a good like eight second hug at home just in
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: the afternoon when we're both home we see each other,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: or if somebody's doing the dish or something, and you're
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: just like, hey, it's hug time. You just give a
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: long hug. Roos sies. And she's always like family hug.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Everyone runs over and it's just me and charl hugging,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: and Rue's got her arms around both of our legs.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: We do family hugs all yeah, but kind of showing them.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: It's like, you know, the affection in front of them. Rue.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Now she knows how, she knows how to kiss, and
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you'll be like hug and kiss and she knows how
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: to aim and she just give you a kiss. Bro.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: It's I will say.
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: That's the other like huge win from the weekend with
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Scarlett is Scarlet and I are way closer, way closer.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Like truly she is like, yo, he fucks. Like
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: we're kind of sitting there like or whenever you need.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: She's kind of becoming a daddy's girl. Yes, you do
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: feel like there's like the gap is closing. Yes, you
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: better recognize it because it's closing fast. Jill got upset.
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: She was like holding Scarlet right when she got back
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: from the airport. And as she's holding Scarlet, Scarlett is
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: tracking me everywhere throughout the wherever Dad goes. Her eyes
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: are going and Jill's like, oh, okay, so I just
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: don't exist anymore. Yeah, I'm like, sorry, our guys, let
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: her know. Let her know that has always kind of
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: been written. She just on game now that's coming. But uh,
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: more ways than one, man, Hey, come on, I got
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: a crack a cold one. We did Dad losses. Oh
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: the survival kit, my survival kid officially is the MRCU
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: Baby flash Cards.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: You can find them at Target. They're very cheap. They're
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like ten bucks.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: And dude, I'm telling you, like, if you're a new
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: parent and you need that little something where like you're
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: interacting with your kid, Yeah, it's not distracting your kid.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: It's like, truly, my kid needs something going on because
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: they are bored. They're crying because they need something to
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: play with, to interact with these flashcards, dude, and you
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: feel like you're teaching them even though I'm like, there's
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: probably no way that this is being retained right now.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: It will though at some point, Yeah, Scotti.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: You know, when she's sitting there and we do the
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: flash cards, whether it's balloon and shoot, it's like you lay.
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: Them in front of you and and we'll be like.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Where's the balloon, and she's just like she like lean
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: in hitting. Whether or not she's actually knowing, I guess
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you don't know. We like to think because she'll hit
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: a few in a row. Yeah, and like that now
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: she's again ten eleven months. You know, go get the
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: go get the ball, Like the ball be sitting somewhere,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: buy my back, Go get the ball, and she'll crawl
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: over and get the ball, so she kind of knows
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: what things are. Yeah, you'll see it.
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: It's fun, man.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: It's been it's been a blast. She loves shout out
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: the lightning flash guard.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: There's one with the lightning bolt, and dude, I'm telling you,
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: every single flashguard she's kind of like ooh reacts to it.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: When the lightning one comes up, she truly does a
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: like blinks and kind of is like, yeah, I'm like,
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: you're gonna love the movie Cars.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: Let me tell you.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, shout out that. And then also you
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: shouted out Chara. Want to shout out Jill of when
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: she came back in town, I was still doing the
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: morning like wake up, feed and stuff. But she was like, hey,
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: I'll I'll do the morning wake up since you had
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: her all weekend. And she did the morning wake up
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: three mornings in a row and cooked breakfasts during the
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: morning wake ups. Was bringing me breakfast likely as I
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: was waking up out of bed, I have a plate
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: of eggs and toast in my lap. I'm like, what
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: is going on? This is incredible. Shout out Jill, Shout
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: out the wifey.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of what her angle is here,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I know, because the game's always being place is like
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, like, yeah, did I do something?
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Like is it really if she takes the three wake
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: ups in a row?
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: To me, that screams I'm trying to get back up
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: on the scoreboard and this is a mommy's girl. But
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: the breakfast move that's where the antennas go.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: Up, that's like, oh, keep him at bay like, oh here,
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: oh I got food yay, And he's not thinking what
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: I I'm really trying to do become the favorite paring again.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, she's gonna hit you over at the top
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: of something.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: You gotta be ready.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I should bring her lunch after we're done recording. Yeah,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: which I tried to shoot her Venmo right now too, Okay,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: latte on Daddy, Yeah that is you got me kind
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: of worried now.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: And also say say, I say, how's Miami again? How's Miami?
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: Anything I need to know? Yeah, what'd y'all do? You'll
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: go to one of those magic mic shows?
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you get a lot of names.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: I don't know what you do. Who went?
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Yeah, who's who's you with?
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Who's bachelorette.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: Oh nothing, just you know, breakfast and you know, eggs
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: and toast three days.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: In a row.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: How many girls are crazy?
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: I didn't go out with them?
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: So by texta right now? Yeah, oh my gosh.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Or she's she's leveraging up for the first moment that
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: you you you know, you hit below the mark. I got, well,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: not anymore, because I just sent her a twenty five
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: dollars Venma that said latte on Daddy, and that's a
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: nice Lotte. That's a nice Latu. That's go hey, put
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: the extra in your pocket, get.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: You something nice, gets scarscard that Halloween costumes stay on it, man, Okay,
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: I also have a or sorry you go ahead with
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: your survival kit.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: I cut you off the Halloween costume. Already said it,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: already said it. I will say last weekend I was
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: kind of covering in real time a little bit to
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: an extent.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: Staycation was unreal.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Go yeah, go through. Uh the staycation.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: I was more of just.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Highly recommend just a couples like if your mom and
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: dad it legitimately like I was texting Charro we were
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: talking about because we left here around two last week Yeah,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: got home like two thirty forty, got the overnight bag.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: We were in the car, and we got down to
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: the hotel the Four Seasons at like probably a little
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: after three.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: We were at four.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: We were at the hotel from that time all the
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: way until the next morning at eleven, when we left
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: and went to go meet you at a meet everybody
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: at cheek Wood. That's why I wasn't texting you. I remember,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: now there you go. But I was like, he's on staycation, yeah,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: which I do appreciate. It was a fun to check out,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: and like the feeling I had driving home, I'm texting,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: I'm like texting my wife and I'm just like, yo,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: I feel like excitement, kind of like like butterflies excitement,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: Like I'm just fired up that we're having a night together.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: Like I feel like back in the day when you
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: come stay with your boy, whether we were at a
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: hotel or we'd get you know, back in our dating days. Yeah,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: I like had that excitement. Hey, hey, back when I
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: was with what uh was that Washington, Washington? Yeah, when
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: y'all started dating. I text her, you know a moment
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: time she came when she got back from Japan, she
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: came to visit me down in training camp.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: But we're at a hotel. Oh yeah, you know, you
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: guys can read between the lines.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Then that there was gonna be like story.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: There was a story, but for another.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: Top sweetheart shout out Cheetos shot he shout out to
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: Little Easter Egg Cheetos. Okay, but it was a highly
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: recommend It felt like we went from mom and dad,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: mom and dad to boyfriend and girlfriend.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and it was a great like we had a
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: little spot ay like I had. It wasn't a couple's
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: massage or nothing like that. Like my time was set
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: like four hers was four thirty. You got access to
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: the spa like steam room, relaxation lounge, and knowing that
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: we were checked out from the kids, we're right down
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: the road obviously. Yeah, but it was fun. It was
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: a really good time. Got you know, got Trey, got
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: dressed up for dinner, went down, had dinner in the
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: in the restaurant at the hotel. We had dinner for
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: probably two and a half, maybe pushing three hours. We
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: got real parent mode, like you went up, we had
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: a little bit of fun and like we're gonna watch
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: a movie. Yeah, then you kind of the parent, the
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: adult kicks inside, you're like, let's just go to sleep.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Got we watched about eleven previews, eleven trailers. We're like,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: do we really want to spend twenty five bucks on
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: a movie in the hotel room? None of them seem
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: like they're going to be that good. Let you know what,
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: let's get some shut eye.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Did you did you have leftovers from the restaurant?
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: No? We were so full, bro, Yeah, because it was
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: like the staycation. When my wife was like, Hey, what
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: do you want for your birthday? My birthday was on
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: September nineteenth, She's like, what do you want for your birthday?
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: I was like, honestly, bro, it would be sick if
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: we just do a staycation. Like me and you like,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: we'll do a staycation. So we got the staycation set up.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: It was kind of like a birthday gift. So when
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: it got put in, it was like in the computer
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: as a birthday. So I'm getting like birthday stuff from
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: the host set four seasons.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: That's sick.
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: So we're getting extra appetizers. They had a little birthday
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: car signed by everybody. When we were sitting there, we
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: didn't want dessert. They're bringing over all the dessert so
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: this is the Khila some wine.
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: But it was a great time.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Dude, slept in Yeah, FaceTime with the root when you
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: wake up in the morning. We slept until about eight
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: o'clock when we woke up and it was we went downstairs,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: got some breakfast, went laid out by the pool, Red
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: had a couple of books. But it was incredible. It
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: was a plus. I cannot recommend enough for mom and
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: dad to just be intentional about where they could have
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: a moment in their schedule to just go down the
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: road and do a staycation, get childcare, get rid of
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: them for a night and connect with old wifey and
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: feel young again.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Jill was even one to go to waffle House this
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: morning as a family, and I wish we could have
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: swung it. But I was in the back of my mind,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: I was like, we do need to do stuff like
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: that more. Yeah, now that Scarlett is and as stage
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: where we really have her down to like a beat
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: on the schedule where it's like, hey, after that first
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: morning wake up feed, we could go to waffle House
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: very easily. Dude, we go get a family breakfast. Man,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: we were at We have been to Ethan Roast as
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: a family. It feels like in a while because we're
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: actually talking about the other day. But Rube basically grew
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: up at eighth and Roast.
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: Like we'd have the morning routine.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: We'd go down the road, hit eight and Roast as
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: a fan like she's got the little they got the
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: little duckies in there. Yeah, yeah, But we would do
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: that all the time, and like even yesterday we had
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: that pocket whe we fly in, drove home, Uh you
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: picked her up, yeah, drove home, had the afternoon at home,
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Charles like Charles home, everybody's home, and we kind of
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: have it's like four thirty, don't have to be at
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: the shop until six thirty for the stream and everything else.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: And she's like, what do we want to do yesterdays?
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: It's been beautiful around Nashville. Weather's been beautiful when it's sunny.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: The fall weather's kind of kicked in and she's like,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: do we want to like go out to eat for dinner?
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: So we went out to have you guys been to Fonda.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: It's a Mexican spot down in twelve South, great spot.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: But we just went off a whim like, hey, four
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: point thirty, do we want to get out of the house,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: we want to go to the playground. We want to
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: do X, Y and Z, or do we want to
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: melt inside the house when it's beautiful outside. Just on
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: a whim, got the family. We were out out at
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: fond of having a little family dinner. But yeah, bro
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: stickation was great. Highly recommend you and Jail family's doing that,
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: like once the routine is down, because again, when they're little,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: when they're like Scarlet's age, like Row is at an
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: age where it's like, you'll have pockets in the afternoon,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: let's go to the park, get outside, go to the park,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: whether it's in the afternoon, after work is over and
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: everything else. But when they're that young, you kind of
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: feel glue, like you're glued inside the routine. Kind of
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you want to stay on such a routine. But now
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: that you're identifying pockets, like, hey, we have the routine down,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: there are these moments throughout the day, whether it's on
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: the weekend or anything else where you can get out,
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: go have breakfast, like you just just get out and
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: about do the family stuff.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: We need to do way more of that, and that
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: is Jill's love language. We did for our one year anniversary,
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: we did a staycation. That's such a cheet code like
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: it at the end of the day is really fine.
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: Jill like personally loves hotels, and I was I was
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: going to say, dude, the move is when you eat
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: at the fancy restaurant the hotel, you get him to
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: box up whatever, you take that up to the room,
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: din and then right when like you're just about to
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: fall asleep, you go, oh wait, I do have.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: A little bit of that short rate of love. What's
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: that doing?
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: What's that all about? I feel you? I'm thinking. By
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: the time we fell asleep, it was probably around eleven
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: eleven thirty. We came up from dinner around nine thirty,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: so of yourself after a stuff. Yeah, we are Our
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: reservation was at seven. We were at We were there
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: from right before seven because like we'll go sit at
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: the bar. If to the reservation is not ready, they're
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: from seven till about nine thirty. Yeah, yeah, there worst
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: stuff going up to the room.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: Different strokes, different folks. Man had that short I know
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: you would.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: That's why I'm laughingstabs in that shore room kind of
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: sitting over there, like.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: How can you be hungry right now?
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: Well, Jilly means the number one culprit on that that
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: was her bit, and I was like, yo, I'm going
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: to adopt that.
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: We always hit the leftovers in the hotel, beat tummy fast.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: And we ain't Mom and Daddy tonight, Oh my god.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: But highly recommend man. I'm talking about that. We were
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: talking about the anchor and sales stuff last week, which
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: again I think that philosophy is all time. Yeah, and
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: the whole wife thing being one of them. And you're
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: right on the love language part. It's like, I feel
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: like his dudees like, we'll get caught up in the
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: work stuff. We have sports to look forward to everything else.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: But Mom does love when you guys all get out
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: of the house together, when you're doing stuff, when you're
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: having fun, you're taking photos.
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: Take photo a Mom, I'll always.
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: Call to you. I was like, I know you want
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: to why you look at so nice today? You want
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: to dress up? You know I don't dress up. All
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: A lot of them think, ah, you dress up enough
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: by way, you want a photo, don't you?
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: Let me get you.
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: Let's do it mere selfie real quick. Yeah, we go
- 1:35:18Speaker 3: down to the restaurant. Yeah, should we get to the phone.
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: Calls we should my what are the odds? Or is
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: very shout out FanDuel is very quick. This week, I
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: wanted to tease something that's in the pipeline. We're gonna
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: be doing a little story time for Halloween this year,
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: and we're gonna see how it goes. We may implement
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: this for all the holidays throughout the year, okay, but
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: we're trying to think of a way to incorporate something
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: that is for the dads, but it's also for the
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: little ones. And maybe on Halloween night you're like, oh man,
- 1:35:52Speaker 3: we've watched this Halloween movie a couple times. Whatever, you're
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: trying to put the little one to bed, maybe if
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: you had Willie c. Dary, chef Shern Fat.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Stafford, Willie one shelf, Willie one shelf, if you will, Yeah,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: reading a little bedtime Halloween story for the kiddos. I
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: love that, And so we're gonna get We're gonna give
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: it us shot this Halloween. We're gonna see how it goes.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: I love it. I got a little story. So we
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: basically for the dads on our channel, on our chain,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: we'll have a story time coming out YEP, Halloween themed
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: YEP for when you're in the week of Halloween, you're
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: gonna pop something on the oh YouTube for the little
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: one and you can hear our voices and they'll be
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: I'm sure you're gonna crush it. Yeah. Sure, you guys
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: are gonna crush it with the storytelling, whatever the script is.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: But we will have a story time. We're gonna watch
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: our language. Oh of course, because this one's for the
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: little ones. Yeah, this is this is pre bedtime. This
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: is when the kiddos are up and you're watching this
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: shy yeah. Yeah, and you pop on for the dad's
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: episodes after bedtime. We're gonna sneak some references in there.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: They're gonna go over the kiddo's heads, but parents gonna.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: Know what we talk about.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Fun voices, fun voices. Yeah, Chef, I'm really excited. Chef
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: has IMDb. He's got some v O.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: Work I do. Yeah, uh, fourth grade, fourth grade, you're
- 1:37:14Speaker 2: on IMDb.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: No, No, I'll make him hockey you can't. Just that's
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: on me. What that's on me? But I will make
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: an IMDb for Jack Cane where we had time wise Jack.
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: We're at fifteen minutes. I'm just kidding, hour thirty all.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Right, all right to the phone call Voicema boys six
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: on one of the dance.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: Six on What the Dads Uh? This one is titled
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: to get the Dub.
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: Willie see big Sure, Chef Jack? What's up? Guys? Is
- 1:37:52Speaker 5: Dustin from Placa.
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: We always talk about the Papa Team six Sicos, but
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: I gotta get to the number one Milk team sixico,
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: which is my wife.
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: So I'm a high school football coach and we have
- 1:38:04Speaker 5: two boys. Youngest is a year old.
- 1:38:07Speaker 4: Last year, we scheduled a c section for my bye week,
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: of course, because you know, priorities, but.
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: My boy decided to come a little bit early.
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: Come on, and wife goes into labor Thursday, not the
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: bye week, has our youngest Friday morning around ten thirty.
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: So you know, I'm not thinking anything of it. This
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: absolute sicko looks me right into my eyes, the windows
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: of my soul, and says, hey, babe, what time.
- 1:38:39Speaker 5: Are you leaving for the game tonight.
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: It is at that moment I knew my wife was
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: infinitely suffered than.
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: Me, and that I had married the right one.
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: So my in laws and my parents stayed at the
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: hospital with Wifey. Me and my dad go to my game,
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: We get the dove.
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: Come back to the hospital, share the news.
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: And now we have a team full of football sikos
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: in my household.
- 1:39:08Speaker 5: We're always ryding for the ball. I guess uh appreciate
- 1:39:12Speaker 5: what you guys are doing to love how all the

- 1:39:27Speaker 1: You got Michael Parson's on the sideline. You can't just
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: let him be patient. Yeah, you can't expect patients. Yeah,
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: he's coming.
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: God Lee.
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: It reminds me of the the Rocky Sex exactly what
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: I was about to say. Adrian tells Rocky, you know,
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: lean'say and goes Rocky one more.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: Thing, Well is anything? When indeed, what are we waiting for?
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: He's chasing the chicken. He's catching the chicken.
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: That best sports montage.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: Dustin just puts on his coaching at he's just walking
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: down the hospital. That's how you need to cut off
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: that video too. Oh yeah, wife looks at me dead
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: in my soul. What time you're going to the game
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: to night time, You're going, that's him being nervous. What
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: do I do here? Like, oh man, this didn't go
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: according to play. Yeah, yeah, he's kind of not bought in.
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: He's kind of getting pulled different directions, and the wife
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: just looks at him.
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: What time you go into the game to night What
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: are we waiting for with that? Man said Dustin. If
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: you could d m us the huddle game tape from that,
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: oh yeah, from that game, we'll make something special.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Yeah, certainly, Dustin, please send us that. Now the game
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: would be reaching out to him before we could reach
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: out to him, if he could get it over like, hey,
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: we we did your call on this week's episode.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: Which would be fun to put the actual fun hurt,
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: the actual highlights of that football game. And I don't
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: know where Dustin's code. Where did he say?
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: Was that?
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: Was? He say? Pulaski? You know a little bit about.
- 1:41:11Speaker 5: Make sure Jeff Jack, what's up? Guys?
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: Is Dustin from Polaga Plataca elaps Polacca Placca. It's gotta
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: be down south somewhere, he said, Polatus. Where's Dustin?
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: Friend?
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: That's awesome though, Yeah, I guess that taped Dustin Yeah,
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: that'd be sick. Shout out hey, congratulations on the new
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: the new baby boy as well.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: Also that also getting initiated on a game weekend. Uh,
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: we have a new name for farting with this one
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: new name for farting.
- 1:41:46Speaker 5: Hey boys, this is mister James.
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: I've got a funny story because I assume that somebody's
- 1:41:52Speaker 7: probably cried already somewhere earlier in the pod.
- 1:41:55Speaker 5: But my two year old.
- 1:41:56Speaker 7: Son is starting to talk. He's starting to really words
- 1:42:00Speaker 7: together and say some things. The other night, he was
- 1:42:03Speaker 7: watching me brush my teeth. Right, I'm sitting there and
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: brushing my teeth. Your boy got a little gassy and
- 1:42:09Speaker 7: I farted and he pointed at my butt. So he
- 1:42:12Speaker 7: tried to say you farted, but it came out you fucked.
- 1:42:18Speaker 7: So now you gotta figure out what word to change to.
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: My wife wants to go with toots. I'm not quite sure.
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: What do you guys think. Appreciate you, love you all,
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: Take out the trash.
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: Did you say you've you fucked? Yeah, you fucked, you fucked.
- 1:42:37Speaker 5: Oh, you fucked, you fucked.
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: I almost hear like an l in there.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: Yeah you fucking over there, dog? Yeah, I guess you
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: go with what two? If you really want to tone
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: it down, like, here's what my sickle brain would do.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: I would fart. Fucked comes out the little one's mouth.
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: Yeah, what that edges? Do you fucked?
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: Yeah that did.
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: But we remember we want to call it toot. Then,
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: just in their brain, they never catch up to it,
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: just keeps going you, oh what that? Or what?
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Mama?
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: Just do it.
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: I thought we were trying to give him to say too.
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: I've been trying to get him to say two. But
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: you let him say you know what do he wants
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: to say first?
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, just have a little fun, have a little fun,
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: mix it up. I'm dropping bombs.
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: Yeah, bombs, there you go. Bomb's a good one, dudes,
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: bombs away, rip the heater, big old stang.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, give him a couple options to choose Stram.
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: I don't think you can really go wrong with your name. Yeah,
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: far Bus barking, Yeah, the barking spider. I've heard you
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: reference that. My dad called him barking spiders.
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but you get the little one to say barking yeah, yeah,
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: barking spiders might be going too much in his brain.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: You keep it simple.
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: Bomb barking heater dute.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: We had a yellow lab sugar growing up, and we
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: had always just you know, you had a loud one, Sugar.
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: Oh my, you got a little sugar coming up the keys.
- 1:44:05Speaker 5: Is that you?
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: Oh my god, that was a good one, Dad. Now
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: that I look back at my dad, I'm like, Dad
- 1:44:12Speaker 3: had some good ones. Yeah, he had some funny ones.
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: They usually do. They usually do.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: All right, listen quote or uh topic of the week.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: I have a fun one.
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: That go ahead, Derek.
- 1:44:28Speaker 6: I was gonna say there was the comment that I
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: had shown you. If you want to read that while
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: the lesson is pulled on, yes, I just don't want
- 1:44:34Speaker 6: you to forget. It is a shout out for something
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: that is coming up. Nothing crazy, but just wanted to
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: throw that out there. The j Paul Instagram I believe
- 1:44:43Speaker 6: so is a birthday in that one. And that's just
- 1:44:46Speaker 6: the only reason I asked.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Yes, okay.
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: This comes from Jpaul on Instagram. Hey, Will and Sherman.
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: I'm reaching out to crack a cold one for my husband.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: He is a huge fan of for the Dad's podcast,
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: and he got me hooked on it as well. Since
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: we wrote trip a lot and love to listen to
- 1:45:04Speaker 3: you guys along with our nine month old son. My

- 1:45:29Speaker 3: My husband John's birthday is coming up on October eighteenth,
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: and I know it would mean the world to him
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: to be featured on your podcast or even just a
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: shout out. John is a first time dad and I
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: could be more thankful for such a hands on partner
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: and role model for our son to have. I already
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: ordered a for the dad's pennant for him for his
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: birthday shout out for our son to have.
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: Or sorry for uh for his birthday so he can
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: proudly hang it up in his man cave aka our garage.
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: But I know it would be so special for him.
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: If you wantn't mind shouting him out, Thanks for your
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: time and all that you do.
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: For the dads.
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: John, Happy birthday, bro, Happy birth Happy birthday. Thank you
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: for supporting the pod, Thank you for being a big fan,
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: Thank you for getting your wife on board.
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: And what a sweetheart your wife is.
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what empty six sick?
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: Yeah forgetting them. You know he's sitting there embarrassed right now, Honey, why.
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: Come on, Hey, what are you doing? John? We love you, dude.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: And honestly, if that was John's letter that I'm thinking
- 1:46:41Speaker 3: of with the patches in it, wrote such a heartfelt letter.
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: I still have the envelope on my desk because I
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: want to write back, so I do have your return address.
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: If that's you John, h I can't wait to send
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: you a letter back.
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: If mom and wife, you could just take out the
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: phone right now and give us his reaction. You put
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: it at end of the day. We can put it
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: at the end of next week's episode.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: We can put it at the end of the next
- 1:47:04Speaker 3: week's episode. Yeah, we can play it right now. And
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: then we just got done watching that video of John's reaction.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: Yeah, how would she know?
- 1:47:15Speaker 6: That's that's next week and she's gonna see it and
- 1:47:18Speaker 6: be excited, So the right now thing really plays.
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: Yes, I'm sorry I was saying, like we clipped us
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: referencing that and then played it in the credits of
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: that future Oh yeah, yeah, meta you are meta brain
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: meta clip that I'm thinking we can let her know. Yo,
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: we're covering this moment on the pod. They can be
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: tuned into the pod.
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: Because this pod will come out on the fifteenth, his
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: birthdays on the eighteenth.
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: It's gonna work out kind of perfect. And meta brain
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: clip that meta brain PT six clip that you got
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: a quote top of girl lesson my friend. Yeah, I
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: have a really quick one. This one actually accompanies a video. Uh,
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: and we can make this into a clip. It's like
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: very cool video. Basically this dad breaking down being a
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: dad out in the wild with your girl, your daughter
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: who needs to go to the bathroom, And basically to
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: how do us as men go about our daughter needed
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: to go to the bathroom in the wild. Do they
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: go to the men's room? Do they go to the
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: women's room? This guy breaks it down beautifully.
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: So I was a girl dad.
- 1:48:25Speaker 8: I'd like to answer this one because I've been there
- 1:48:27Speaker 8: a thousand times myself before now, over the years when
- 1:48:31Speaker 8: my daughter was little, before she was too young to
- 1:48:33Speaker 8: use the restroom herself. Anytime we were out in a
- 1:48:35Speaker 8: public setting and my daughter needed to use the restroom,
- 1:48:37Speaker 8: I would always take her to the women's restroom. Now,
- 1:48:40Speaker 8: in doing so, I also understood that not every woman
- 1:48:44Speaker 8: wants to open up the women's restroom to find a big, old,
- 1:48:47Speaker 8: scary man like myself staring back at them. So here's
- 1:48:50Speaker 8: a couple things I did to make sure that that
- 1:48:51Speaker 8: didn't happen, and also that my daughter got to use
- 1:48:54Speaker 8: the restroom. So what I would do, if possible, is
- 1:48:57Speaker 8: I would try and find a woman near the women's
- 1:48:59Speaker 8: right and politely say, excuse me, my little daughter needs
- 1:49:03Speaker 8: to use the restroom. I need to go in with her.
- 1:49:05Speaker 8: Would you be kind enough to watch the door so
- 1:49:08Speaker 8: another woman doesn't open up the door to find me
- 1:49:10Speaker 8: and get scared or nervous or uncomfortable. I never, never,
- 1:49:15Speaker 8: and the thousands of times I did that, never had
- 1:49:18Speaker 8: a woman say no to that request. It was always
- 1:49:21Speaker 8: met with oh, yes, of course, absolutely no problem. Yes,
- 1:49:24Speaker 8: I'd be happy to watch the door for you and
- 1:49:25Speaker 8: your daughter to go in. Always got met with a yes.
- 1:49:29Speaker 8: I always ask politely, never had a.
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: Problem with it.
- 1:49:32Speaker 8: If there were no women around that I could ask.
- 1:49:34Speaker 8: What I do is as I take my daughter in,
- 1:49:36Speaker 8: I'd prop the door open with my foot, and while
- 1:49:38Speaker 8: she was using the restroom, I'd stand in the doorway,
- 1:49:41Speaker 8: blocking so that nobody could see in. But also at
- 1:49:43Speaker 8: the same time, if a woman happened to approach the restroom,
- 1:49:45Speaker 8: I'd say, I'm so sorry, I've got my little daughter
- 1:49:48Speaker 8: in here. Could you give us just a moment once again,
- 1:49:51Speaker 8: always greeted with a yes, no problem, happy to do that.
- 1:49:55Speaker 8: Thank you for letting me know. I never got told
- 1:49:57Speaker 8: note of these requests because and this is just my opinion,
- 1:50:00Speaker 8: but I'm guessing every single woman out there understood that
- 1:50:04Speaker 8: I was just trying to be a good dad, getting
- 1:50:07Speaker 8: my daughter and to use the restroom that she needed,
- 1:50:09Speaker 8: and I wanted her to use the women's restroom because
- 1:50:12Speaker 8: it is safer and cleaner. Gentlemen, if you were out
- 1:50:15Speaker 8: and you have young daughters, take them into the wooden's restroom.
- 1:50:18Speaker 8: We all know it's cleaner, and you're probably never going
- 1:50:20Speaker 8: to find a woman that has a problem with you
- 1:50:22Speaker 8: being in there if you do one of the things
- 1:50:24Speaker 8: that I told you, and if you're polite and respectful
- 1:50:27Speaker 8: from one girl dad to another, just trying to help
- 1:50:29Speaker 8: you guys out, I hope this might help somebody Anyways,
- 1:50:32Speaker 8: you guys, let me know what you think about this
- 1:50:33Speaker 8: in the comment section, Like can share this video, I'd
- 1:50:35Speaker 8: appreciate it. Dedicated after that out for the.
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: Daughter, Oh, I think he said like five, like four
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: or five.
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: Because rude just goes in the men's room with me.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I take her in a stall, which that's another
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: option that he talks about.
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: I keeps his eyes down. Yeah, yeah, I was just
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: kidding out.
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: She's three eighty there, don't talk to nobody, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: we're doing our business. Yeah, which I did. I wanted
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: to ask you, like what your approach was too. It's yeah,
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: it's more of like, hey, if she's got to go
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: to the bathroom and I got to go botty too,
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: she just goes with me, just go in a stall,
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: get her all hooked up. I feel like she's young
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: enough to where she literally does not know the difference.
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: I'm assume, yeah, well she'll know that. You know, why
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: could you go in, uh, in the mommy's restroom dad
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: as a boy? Yeah yeah, that's a boy.
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: You got boys'.
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: Restrooms, you got girls restrooms, and Dad, I can only.
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: Go in this one.
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: You gotta come with daut That's it. That's just how
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: we go. Yeah, but a question that I've asked myself
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: plenty of times. I was like, what do you do
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: in that situation? That's uh, that's interesting. It's like an
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: initial thought, I guess when it first happens, but then
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: you just don't really once it happens the first time,
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: you don't really think about it because you're just thinking, like,
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: you know, it's your it's your little one. Any Like, Well,
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: we haven't been in like I guess where if we're
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: at like a game or something like that and it's
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: very public and crowded. We've been a situation like that.
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: So every bathroom we've kind of went into, it's you know,
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: whether adults are in there or whatever. It is like
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: you you know how you're used to seeing kiddos come
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: in with their parents. Oh for sure, So just go in,
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: hit the stall, rip it ri you need you need
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: you pooper bee bpr poop poop.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: Yeah. But yeah, that was that was my lesson of
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: the week.
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: I love that because a lot of young dads are
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: That made me think about they don't have their kids yet,
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: they could be wondering that that could be a question
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: on their mind. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love that mine is.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: So we had the one last week with the anchors
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: and sales, and I think one thing that just people, parents, whatever.
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: In general, there's always a lot of pressures in the world.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: And something that I learned I was very grateful to
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: learn that I felt like stuck with me when I
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: was in college, like are you good, bro? My contact
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: came out. I thought that was tears that came out.
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: Popping bag game.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: When you came down and I saw that, I felt
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: like it was tears in my.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: Oh you go.
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: But something I learned as I was on the football team,
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: we have my favorite one of one of my favorite
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: because there's a couple out there, but my guy, he's
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: like he ended up. He's he still were very close
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: to this day. But James Dobson, he was our strength coach.
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: It's something he always said that resonated with with me.
- 1:53:33Speaker 1: I'm sure a lot of guys on the team, but
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: it's like, no matter what is happening, you can always
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: control two things in life, and it's your attitude and effort.
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: And this was a mantra his at all times. I
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: felt like it's something that really stuck with me. And
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: after it's like the the anchors and sales and having
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: some of these philosophies, like getting back to the getting
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: to the foundational thing that it's like you feel like
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: you get pulled in all these different directions and a
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: lot of things affect you throughout the day, whether you're
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: running late to something, you have a bad day at work,
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: you have a lot of whatever your stressors are in
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: the world, the two things that you can always control
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: is your attitude and effort. And how can we relate
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: this to a family atmosphere or parenthood, fatherhood, whatever the
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: case may be. An attitude attitude set your emotional temperature
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: of your home. So just like again when you think
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: about attitude and effort, your attitude, no matter what, you
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: can always choose what kind of attitude you're gonna have,
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: whether it's a pissy one, any negative attitude you ever had.
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: I bet you can go back to that moment if
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: you could have anticipated that moment, you think to yourself,
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: I could have handled this situation or had a better
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: attitude walking through the door at home. Yeah, your attitude
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: set your emotional temperature of your home. If you walk
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: through the door frustrated, distracted, or short tempered. It is
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: felt in the home without any words being said. Think
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: back when we're all young kiddos, or when we're all
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: growing up, if mom or dad or somebody's got a
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: bad attitude, or even a buddy, if you feel that
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: bad attitude without anything being said. A lot of the times,
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: it's like, oh, Dad's coming home.
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: He's kind of.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: Seems like he had a bad day at work. Yeah,
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: Like we all know that feeling as kids growing up.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: If you walk in grounded and present people, it feels safe.
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: When you walk in.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: It's like SHRM's a great example. I feel like when
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: Shurm always comes to the door, no matter what's going
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: on with our boy, it always you always just feel
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: like you're in a fun environment because I feel SUREM
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: always walks in with the right attitude. You could have
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: a lot of stuff going on, but I feel like
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: your attitude. Always enjoy being around you because you're Like
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: I've told you before, I always feel like.
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: I'm in a good mood when I'm around you.
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I appreciate that, by the way, thank you.
- 1:55:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: Attitude isn't about pretending everything's great. It's about choosing how
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: you respond when it's not great. So when work is heavy,
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: attitude decides whether you bring that weight home or leave
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: it at the door. When your kid spills their drink
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: for the third time and you get a little frustrated,
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: you get a little piste off kid it won't go
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: to sleep. When you're trying to rock her to sleep
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: for a nap and she's got her shoes on and
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: you're starting to get really flustered, Attitude decides if you
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: correct them or connect with them. When life tests your patience,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: attitude decides whether you react or you lead. And as
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: a dad, your attitude becomes the model your kids copy
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: before they ever listen to what you say. The second
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: one being effort. So again, the two things you can
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: always control at all times, especially if you're conscious of this,
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: is your attitude and effort. Effort is intention in motion.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: It's not about how hard you work for your family,
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: It's about how intentionally you show up with them. So
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: effort as a dad looks like, you know, choosing to
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: get down on the floor and play even when you're tired.
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: I'm guilty of this. I'll be sitting there like it's
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: like I want to take a load off. Long day,
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: whatever it is yeah, and I might feel mom in
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: the kitchen or upstairs with the roo and I got
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: Scottie and it looks like she's wanted to play a
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: little bit. I just think to myself, I just need
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: to roll off the couch and get on the ground
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: and start doing the crawl with her. Whatever it is,
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: whatever gets her excited or choosing to play, like again,
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: if I'm wanting to watch the game, or if it's
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: after dinner, and again I'm just like, oh, I just
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: want to like lay on the couch, and Rue hits
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: me with, hey, you want to play Chase, And I
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: just thinking, Okay, I need to get my ass up
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: and I need to play Chase unless the back and
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: less the back's in a bad spot. Hey, sweetheart, daddy's
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: backs in a bad spot. But again, this we're talking
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: about effort listening when your wife fully talks to you,
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: not just hearing them. Guilty, guilty, sweetheart, I know you're listening.
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: Guilty as charged. The comment of I don't know why
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: I waste my breast sometimes because you never hear me
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: because I'm the what guy was that, sweetheart? Or I'm
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: just not paying attention. And then I finally just hear
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: the comment, I don't even know why I try talking
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: to you sometimes I got just you know, I'm making
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: up whatever excuse it is, sweetheart.
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: When you hear the juicy part of the story, you go, wait, wait,
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: who's saying.
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah? I am enemy number one with that.
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: But fully listen when your wife talks, not just hearing,
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: taking the time to explain instead of snapping in frustration.
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: We've all been in those moments where something gets said
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: and we're just we want them to feel our frustration
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: that we might not want to get into a conversation
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: or might not want to get into a moment when
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: it's like sit there, be present. Not about being strong.
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: It's about reconnecting, finding that connection, getting back in the pocket,
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: showing that effort that you're not just wanting to push
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: it off with frustration or whatever you might be projecting
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: from whatever attitude you had, making the space for making
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: space for family moments even when the schedule is packed.
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: You were talking about the routine stuff earlier, like yesterday
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: we're sitting there, I'm like, okay, gotta go do a stream,
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: gotta do stuff. But if you find the space and
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: you find the time, like making the effort to, yeah,
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: let's get out of the house, let's go to the park,
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: let's go have a family meal, like let's go do
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: something as a family, or maybe it's you and your wife, whatever,
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: it is like when that space happens and you know
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: that space is there, being like prioritizing it and doing
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: it even though you might feel this packed schedule or
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: stress circulating around you, it's like, how can you pull
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: yourself out of that? How can you check your attitude
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: and how can you put forth effort? Effort doesn't mean perfection,
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: it means presence. That's something we've loved on this episode
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: since the beginning, that it's presence not perfection in fatherhood
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: because we fuck up all the time all they want
- 1:59:06Speaker 1: to continue to mess up all the time. But it's
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: how you show up in the next moment, how you
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: show up in the next day. Because again, your kids
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: won't remember a word you say. They'll they'll they will
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: understand what you model to them before you say anything
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: to them, and the lesson and all of that. You
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: can't control everything in your family's life, but you can
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: control the spirit you bring in, the consistency that you
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: show up with. If you keep a strong attitude, you
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: teach your kids how to handle it when life is unfair.
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: If you keep steady effort, you teach them that love
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: is built through showing up, not just talking about it.
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: And Indian your legacy as a dad won't be defined
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: by what you achieved. It'll be defined by how you
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: carried yourself and how you made your family feel. Yeah, dude,
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: So there we go. That's that's the lesson, that's the
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: topic of the week.
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: That's a really really good one.
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: The attitude and effort one, like a few in the
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: world of that I've just like learned or gravitated towards.
- 1:59:58Speaker 1: Are things that have always stuck with me, and sports
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: is attitude and effort. There's this four quadrant like belief, potential, action, results.
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: Thing that's always stuck with me. There is that nobody cares,
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: work harder, and nobody's coming to save you.
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: And so the challenge that I've had with myself, especially
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: in fatherhood or parenthood and even for this brand wanting
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: to come with like a lesson or topic or something
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: like that, is I'm trying to pull from the football
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: isms that I've learned, and it's like all right, how
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: do we gear this towards like paranoids? So that's kind
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: of been my It's been like my homeworker challenge, like
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: when trying to come with with lessons or topics, because
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: I feel like all of it is carry over. All
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: of it's crossover, right, Like everything they tell you what
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: you learn, like when you're growing up playing sports. Sports
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: are the best teacher for life. So it's like, how
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: do you bring all the sports methods that is what
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: I know? And how am I carrying it? You know?
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: When I went from football to the branding and podcasting,
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: the business side of everything. How do I bring that
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: into whether it's the locker room on the bus. How
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: do I bring that into my personality? How do I
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: bring that into being a leader and manager for the squad?
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: How do I bring that into fatherhood? How do I
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: bring that into being a husband? Because it all everything
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: tests you along the way.
- 2:01:14Speaker 3: Any organized team, uh, And that could be like academic
- 2:01:20Speaker 3: to cathalon type stuff or like doing a school play,
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: anything where like a group of people are coming together
- 2:01:25Speaker 3: for a common goal. You have to hold up your responsibilities.
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: If you don't, it's going to cause others to misfire
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: and misstep, and I couldn't agree more. It's all applicable
- 2:01:37Speaker 3: to work performance, family performance, friend performance, Like how are
- 2:01:41Speaker 3: you performing in your life?
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: Yeah? Are you showing up for all these things?
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: Especially when you're an ambitious an ambitious person as well,
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: like you, really you're a ambitious career minded person and
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: you want to do really good work. We a lot
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: of us will do anything pop. We try to figure
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: out everything possible to be a really good teammate. If
- 2:02:03Speaker 1: you're in a leadership role, be a really good leader.
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: And a lot of the stuff in the back end
- 2:02:08Speaker 1: that's kind of in the back seat can be the
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: family stuff at times and where I've like you know,
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: had a couple like aha, or think, okay, how can
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: I marry it?
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: To this?
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: Like the family time and everything else is operating the
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: same way at home. Like am I being like the
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: way I am around my team, the way I am
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: at work, the way I am in my career, I
- 2:02:27Speaker 1: am in my ambitions, every philosophy or thing that I
- 2:02:30Speaker 1: kind of tied to that motivates me or keeps me disciplined.
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: Am I doing those same things at home in the
- 2:02:35Speaker 1: role that I have at home? If I'm in a
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: leadership role everything that I feel like I'm doing, whether
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: it's for a team, for the shop.
- 2:02:42Speaker 2: Am I being the same guy? Am I being that
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: dad at home?
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: So yeah, I was kind of I was kind of
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: going to where I was like, oh, that would be
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: a where's the bow tie on that one?
- 2:02:55Speaker 2: Man?
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: My brain kind of just stopped. But it's like to
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: throw a bow tie. I guess on how I applied
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: to buy Life. We always talk about like Charlio being like, Yo,
- 2:03:03Speaker 1: you have this dad podcast. You can't even put up
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: a shelf. Yeah, I ask myself that a lot.
- 2:03:09Speaker 3: There are a lot of times around the house where
- 2:03:11Speaker 3: I'm like, dude, you got this podcast where you're like,
- 2:03:16Speaker 3: you got people writing in the comments these life stories
- 2:03:20Speaker 3: and about how great this podcast is blah blah blah,
- 2:03:23Speaker 3: and you can't get up. I know you hear Scarlet
- 2:03:26Speaker 3: crying and Jill's having to do that by yourself.
- 2:03:28Speaker 1: In those examples the Willie one shelf where that came about,
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: and in the Scarlet when you're talking about too, it's like,
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: if I just think of the two things that you
- 2:03:37Speaker 1: can sit there and talk about controlling, because you can't
- 2:03:40Speaker 1: control outcomes, you can't control a lot of things external
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: that other people have control on. But if I think
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: about attitude and effort, it's like such a poor piss,
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: such a piss, poor attitude and effort in that moment.
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: If I think of it in a team environment, it's
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: like if I have these big goals of like hitting
- 2:03:55Speaker 1: prs in the weight room or doing X, Y and
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: Z on the football field, that's essentially a teammate coming up.
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: You have these goals, and you're not living up to
- 2:04:01Speaker 1: these goals right now.
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: It did. The brain's doing it again, and bow tie,
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: bow tie. There you go.
- 2:04:11Speaker 1: That was a good point. Yeah, hey, you're not living
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: up to these goals right now. Bow tie.
- 2:04:17Speaker 3: No, but you you did paint a good picture. I
- 2:04:20Speaker 3: don't know what kind of bookend or bookmark you're looking
- 2:04:22Speaker 3: forward to.
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: Sum it all up. I think you summed it up.
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: Or it might just be the moment where I stop
- 2:04:27Speaker 1: and then there's just a second or two of silence
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: where it's like some tough somebody else might come in
- 2:04:31Speaker 1: and go off that and I'm like, okay, finish it up.
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: Yeah, get the walk off music for like an award show,
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: the wrap up music. No, no, no, you know, Yeah,
- 2:04:45Speaker 2: they're playing me off. They're playing me off you just
- 2:04:48Speaker 2: like you wrapped up pretty well. I don't even know
- 2:04:49Speaker 2: if you need to put a bow tie on it. Well,
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: it's more of like the.
- 2:04:51Speaker 1: Pocket of space comes in and maybe that's when just
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: the John Cena music drops.
- 2:04:57Speaker 2: Oh my god. I feel like if we' does all that,
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: he's a be great at home because you're a good boss.
- 2:05:03Speaker 2: And I mean that I'm not hey, you know, he
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: signs my checks, but I really do mean that you're
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: a badass boss. And like the way that you operate
- 2:05:10Speaker 2: and stuff, it's like the most fair, just genuine like
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: once you succeed kind of you know, feeling like working
- 2:05:18Speaker 2: for Will and Taylor too. So if you apply it
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: at to home, like I feel like that's a hell
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: of a way to approach it. Yeah. It's the attentionality
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: too that you bring.
- 2:05:28Speaker 3: I've said that before to you of like you come
- 2:05:32Speaker 3: into this office with intention every single day.
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: And just seeing that.
- 2:05:39Speaker 3: I've always been an employee that wants to like do
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: a good job in press and press and press.
- 2:05:44Speaker 2: But it really is fun when you.
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: Come in and it's like, oh, the guy that's the
- 2:05:47Speaker 3: shot caller is also kind of.
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: You know, in the weeds, moan in the yard too,
- 2:05:53Speaker 2: Like that never feels above yeah, never, like you don't
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: feel your I've never felt like I'm talked down to
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: on which is like at the end of the day,
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: like you make the decisions. But I will say from
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: an employee side that you want to like, you want
- 2:06:06Speaker 2: to do good. That kind of stuff motivates you, like, hey,
- 2:06:08Speaker 2: this guy has your back at all times, wants you
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: to do good, and you want to fight for that too.
- 2:06:14Speaker 1: Like, so it's a great agreed, you know, and with
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: that intentionality applying it to the home life, like the
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: kids are gonna see that as far as me. Thanks, boys,
- 2:06:25Speaker 1: They're like, honestly, it's like that's rat poison. That's rat poison.
- 2:06:30Speaker 1: You live for the cheers, you die by the booze.
- 2:06:32Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. But I feel I feel like in this
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: with the platform that we have to like getting to
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: go through topics, lessons, call it advice, whatever you want
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: to call it, I feel like this is a fun
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: platform to kind of get thoughts that I've had kind
- 2:06:44Speaker 1: of jotted down and journaled her on paper because I
- 2:06:48Speaker 1: I genuinely feel like I've gotten to learn from so
- 2:06:51Speaker 1: many great people that were stuff that they say, like
- 2:06:56Speaker 1: I'll be the kid when we are if you're the
- 2:06:58Speaker 1: person up there trying to give lessons or trying to
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: do things, and say you're in a leadership role and
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: you're just wondering if people out there are like taking it,
- 2:07:05Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Or hey, is this sticking?
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: And I just know, like I was a young I
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: was a young cat or a young athlete. In every
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: room that I was in, if if there was a
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: coach that I m are like getting to listen to
- 2:07:19Speaker 1: get taught from coach Bo Polini, James Dobson, like my
- 2:07:23Speaker 1: mom and dad, Like I've been around so many great
- 2:07:25Speaker 1: people to wear that stuff really resonates with me. And
- 2:07:28Speaker 1: when I thought about being ambitious and successful, I think
- 2:07:30Speaker 1: to myself, like when I listened to whether it was
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: Tony Robbins videos or any of those videos on motivation
- 2:07:36Speaker 1: or success or ambition, Like I was a guy who
- 2:07:39Speaker 1: consumed a lot of that stuff when I was young,
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: and I would try and put stuff into practice, and
- 2:07:43Speaker 1: when things like worked or paid off, It's like I'm
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: trying to remember these things like when I get to
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: the next level or the next thing especially in football. Again,
- 2:07:52Speaker 1: it's like being undrafted, like you're very salty and slided
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: about it. But if you take a lot of these
- 2:07:57Speaker 1: things that have been taught to you, and I can
- 2:07:59Speaker 1: just you can just remove the noise and try to
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: focus on the day to day stuff or the habits
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: or the things that I'm going to still challenge myself too,
- 2:08:06Speaker 1: versus getting down on myself and think like, oh man,
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: they don't think I'm.
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: Good or that I belong in the league.
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: Maybe they're right, or I get a little the whole
- 2:08:13Speaker 1: attitude and effort thing, or if I take a lot
- 2:08:15Speaker 1: of these philosophies and it's like, okay, how can I
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: pull myself out of my own emotion because you're just
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: we're all emotional just constantly if a result doesn't go
- 2:08:24Speaker 1: our way, and when those things start to work out
- 2:08:27Speaker 1: or pay off, and it's like, man, I need to
- 2:08:28Speaker 1: remember this stuff somehow for whenever I become a starter
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: or when I'm gonna be starting, whenever I'm a starter,
- 2:08:34Speaker 1: how do I become a pro bowler? It's never that.
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: But then, okay, you don't get the result that you want.
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: But how do you take the same things that have
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: always helped me get there through listening to these people
- 2:08:42Speaker 1: and being like, man, they're right about this shit, Like
- 2:08:44Speaker 1: I need to how do I box this in or
- 2:08:47Speaker 1: hone it in? And no matter what happens after football,
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: how do I carry the same approach over to X,
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: Y and Z, to things that you guys are talking
- 2:08:54Speaker 1: about and stuff at home. It's it's a constant. I
- 2:08:57Speaker 1: feel like I'm constantly trying to learn and think about
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: those things. So I've been very I've been just fortunate
- 2:09:04Speaker 1: being around a lot of people that you know, I
- 2:09:07Speaker 1: guess that's all to me for being a sponge, But
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: I was always I've always been a very curious individual.
- 2:09:13Speaker 1: And how is it like, man, I want to be
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: where that person is. How do I even if my
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: boys might be doing inside jokes on while we're doing
- 2:09:20Speaker 1: this dumb meeting or this dumb shit. You know, all
- 2:09:22Speaker 1: those you know, all those groups that have this seems
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: uncool to want to listen and you know, take something
- 2:09:29Speaker 1: away from it. You will cares about this sh try idiot, Well,
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: you're trying way too hard, man, Like that ain't the
- 2:09:37Speaker 1: cool thing to do. But I was always like kind
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: of I guess like that kid like again, if bo
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: Plainey was telling you something, I'm thinking, Man, I want
- 2:09:45Speaker 1: to be a head coach one day in college football
- 2:09:48Speaker 1: or the NFL. Like I need to listen to everything
- 2:09:51Speaker 1: all these coaches say to one day hopefully be where
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: they are. So again, very uh, trying to receive the compliment.
- 2:10:01Speaker 1: Also very grateful, been around a lot of great people.
- 2:10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, and shout out uh.
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: I do have one extra thought, but also shout out
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: your boy James Dobson. He's the ad at Oklahoma for
- 2:10:12Speaker 3: player performance.
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: That's kind of cool.
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Dobson is the fucking man bro. Legitimately another father
- 2:10:18Speaker 1: figure in my life. I busted his balls. He was
- 2:10:20Speaker 1: at Vandy. He was like the head athletic guy, like
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: over all of athletic performance. Left to go take a
- 2:10:25Speaker 1: two job on the strength training for Oklahoma because he's
- 2:10:28Speaker 1: kind of The thought was he'd be the successor at
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: Oklahoma because he was a one.
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: He's been the guy.
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: He's been the heads strength coach. He was my head
- 2:10:34Speaker 1: strength coach at Nebraska. Very hard like, tough guy, very
- 2:10:38Speaker 1: hard on. He loves you. Hard the guy's guy. But
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: taught you a lot of good analogies and theories about life.
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: That kind of got you showing up even when times
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: are very hard, like a being in a world to
- 2:10:50Speaker 1: where you know, this is fucking football. Yeah, like it's
- 2:10:53Speaker 1: gonna be fucking hard. It's the whole point. Nobody feels
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: good at this point in the season. He would always
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: have great storytelling ways, but it was always attitude and effort.
- 2:11:01Speaker 1: And he was the head guy Vandy after Nebraska to
- 2:11:05Speaker 1: when I was on the when I was on Tennessee,
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: I got to train over at Vandy and still be
- 2:11:09Speaker 1: in life around him. He's actually the one of the
- 2:11:11Speaker 1: first guys where I'm like sitting you know, I'd work
- 2:11:13Speaker 1: out and then I go bus balls. We'd be in
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: the office hanging out and everything else, talking about the
- 2:11:17Speaker 1: old days and what's going on in Vandy. And he
- 2:11:20Speaker 1: was one of the first guys world was like, hey,
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: I'm sort of podcast like it's a bus So he
- 2:11:24Speaker 1: was there when I'd have to print out documents to
- 2:11:26Speaker 1: get signed use his printer. But Dobson is like a
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: shout out, James Dobson. He's a he's a legend.
- 2:11:33Speaker 2: Shout out.
- 2:11:34Speaker 3: And to put a bow on your lesson, you said
- 2:11:37Speaker 3: something that I really loved about the saltiness of being
- 2:11:39Speaker 3: a walk on or not a walk on, an undrafted
- 2:11:44Speaker 3: free agent. I love what you said of like pulling
- 2:11:47Speaker 3: yourself out of the emotion of like wanting to prove
- 2:11:51Speaker 3: people wrong, like pulling yourself out of like whatever kind
- 2:11:54Speaker 3: of angst or anger or sadness that maybe that causes.
- 2:11:58Speaker 3: Because that was huge for me of like going the
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: way that I did career wise, and kind of a
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: lot of people being like, why the heck is he
- 2:12:07Speaker 3: going into video production? Why, and me kind of getting
- 2:12:11Speaker 3: this like jaded spirit of Oh, I'm gonna show them,
- 2:12:14Speaker 3: I'm gonna prove them wrong.
- 2:12:15Speaker 2: I'm gonna do that. And once I pulled myself.
- 2:12:18Speaker 1: Out of that, it was just able to enjoy fully
- 2:12:22Speaker 1: gratiate and gratiate into like video production and chase after
- 2:12:28Speaker 1: it and work hard and put forth the effort, have
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: a good attitude.
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: But enjoy what I was doing as well. That's when
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: I started like really finding success.
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're.
- 2:12:40Speaker 1: Right, it is tough, man, Like when I didn't get
- 2:12:42Speaker 1: invited to the combine, that was a hard moment, like again,
- 2:12:47Speaker 1: because then you like you're searching your name on the
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: internet and you see rankings and it's like man, I'm
- 2:12:51Speaker 1: just feeding into this thing that's honestly not good for me. Yeah,
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: And no matter what, the sun is going to rise
- 2:12:59Speaker 1: tomorrow and you put your feet on the ground, and
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: it's like, what attitude and effort are you going to
- 2:13:03Speaker 1: have about the day? And are you going to be
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: glued to your vision? And are you going to be
- 2:13:07Speaker 1: glued to the disciplines and the routine and what you're
- 2:13:10Speaker 1: eating and all these things you're gonna do or you're
- 2:13:12Speaker 1: just gonna kind of feel sorry for yourself kind of
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: shy away, come back, man, Maybe.
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: They are right, yeah, bro, because I'll do that. Even
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: with parenting.
- 2:13:24Speaker 1: Sometimes I'll be like, god, I fucking did so bad
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: that last morning, like whatever I didn't do, or like yeah,
- 2:13:33Speaker 1: I was being lazier blah blah blah, and I'm like
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: in my head, I was.
- 2:13:36Speaker 3: Being such a bad dad. And it's like, well, here's
- 2:13:39Speaker 3: the opportunity where I won't be a bad dad, where
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: I'll you know, I'll change my attitude. And what was
- 2:13:47Speaker 3: it called the memory have a short memory, goldfish memory,
- 2:13:50Speaker 3: goldfish memory.
- 2:13:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's important as well. With the attitude and.
- 2:13:55Speaker 3: Effort, it's like you will mess up, you will not
- 2:13:58Speaker 3: be perfect, but it's just being able to learn from
- 2:14:01Speaker 3: that loss. Hey, let's move forward and let's have a
- 2:14:04Speaker 3: good attitude to attack whatever this next thing is.
- 2:14:08Speaker 1: And no, yeah, that's a great point. And knowing too,
- 2:14:10Speaker 1: Like let's just say in this hypothetical you have a
- 2:14:14Speaker 1: laundry list of a bad residence, oh as I do.
- 2:14:19Speaker 1: And knowing but yeah, yeah, yeah, but let's say like
- 2:14:24Speaker 1: something to where you don't feel you don't feel like
- 2:14:28Speaker 1: a whole lot of self worth because you know it
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: in the back of your mind, Like, man, I've been
- 2:14:32Speaker 1: a shit x for a good amount of time. The
- 2:14:37Speaker 1: power you you truly have to tomorrow there's going to
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: be another opportunity and it can change.
- 2:14:43Speaker 2: You can change it like that.
- 2:14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're truly sick and tired of being sick
- 2:14:48Speaker 1: and tired, Yeah, that to me is power, bro.
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: That's yeah.
- 2:14:53Speaker 3: It is as easy as when I was like going
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: through a really uh tough period in my life, that
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: therapist that I would see and fort Worth, it's the man, dude,
- 2:15:03Speaker 3: he felt more like a dad than like a therapist.
- 2:15:05Speaker 2: He may there was a point in my life.
- 2:15:08Speaker 3: I don't know if I shared this with you where
- 2:15:10Speaker 3: I didn't get out of bed for like a stretch
- 2:15:12Speaker 3: of like two weeks. I didn't get out of bed,
- 2:15:15Speaker 3: and my mom had to like come over to the
- 2:15:17Speaker 3: house I was living at, and like basically it was like,
- 2:15:20Speaker 3: you need to go to therapy, blah blah blah. And
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: the therapist very first thing he said is he was like,
- 2:15:25Speaker 3: when you wake up, shower and put a nice outfit on,
- 2:15:31Speaker 3: and what else can't it? Can't you do if you
- 2:15:34Speaker 3: go clean yourself up and put some nice clothes on.
- 2:15:37Speaker 1: Why not get out of the house. Why not go
- 2:15:40Speaker 1: have a good day?
- 2:15:40Speaker 3: Why not go do like you you get that small
- 2:15:44Speaker 3: victory whatever that is, and you can change it, dude.
- 2:15:47Speaker 3: And it's like, I'm a loser. I've been laying in
- 2:15:49Speaker 3: bed for two weeks straight and you know, I don't
- 2:15:52Speaker 3: know what I want to do with my life and
- 2:15:53Speaker 3: blah blah blah, And well, hey, I showered and I
- 2:15:56Speaker 3: put clothes on today, So I guess I'm not gonna
- 2:15:59Speaker 3: get back in bed with.
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: All these clothes on.
- 2:16:00Speaker 1: I guess I'm gonna have to go, you know, do this.
- 2:16:03Speaker 2: So I like that mentality, Yeah, make your bed, make
- 2:16:07Speaker 2: your bad small wins.
- 2:16:09Speaker 1: Bro Jill sitting there going, tell them, tell them, will
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: try on my ass at the bed. Hey, I thought
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: we said the rule is the last one to get
- 2:16:16Speaker 1: out of the bed makes the bed.
- 2:16:17Speaker 2: Sweet, you know I had to. You're right, Hey, you right.
- 2:16:21Speaker 1: Babe grew up here making the bed, grew up there
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: making her own bed. Bro making us look bad, making
- 2:16:27Speaker 1: us look bad that day. Come upstairs, sweet, I got
- 2:16:30Speaker 1: a fish bread. Come upstairs, all right, close your eyes,
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: I'm walking in. Okay, look and I open. She got
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: a perfectly made bed, stuffed animals in place, massive smile
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: on her face. I'm like, gor, let's go downstairs. You
- 2:16:45Speaker 1: better get your chicken sauce and sit well looking at
- 2:16:49Speaker 1: you know, put my hand out for a high five.
- 2:16:51Speaker 2: And like, yo, I love your effort. Love your effort, kid,
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: But all.
- 2:16:55Speaker 1: Right, gotta roll, gotta roll, take out your trash. Love
- 2:16:58Speaker 1: you guys, pop a team six, leave comments, subscribe, love you.
- 2:17:11Speaker 2: I've been my wife, I've been I rode away. Why renny,
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: mm hmmm, why get back? Get back, come back,
