Lucas: Today, we're going to an Italian market to buy some cheese. Luna: Oh, I love cheese! What phrases do I need? Lucas: First, to ask for cheese, you say: 'Vorrei del formaggio.' Luna: Vorrei del formaggio. Vorrei del formaggio. Lucas: Perfect. 'Vorrei' means 'I would like', and 'formaggio' means cheese. Luna: So, 'Vorrei del formaggio' is 'I would like some cheese'? Lucas: Exactly. Now, if you want to ask the price, you say: 'Quanto costa?' Luna: Quanto costa? Quanto costa? Lucas: Good. 'Quanto' means 'how much', and 'costa' means 'does it cost'.
