Latest / Claymore: Become Who You Are / #717 The Supreme Court (8-1) Stands for Children Against the Talk Therapy Ban Movement
Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Sister Lucia Fatima said that the last great battle between our Lord and Satan is going to be over marriage in the family.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: And when we think about that, we see all the distortions, all the dysfunctions, all the brokenness and marriages, but it's the most innocent, the most vulnerable that always become pawns in this and suffer the most injustices.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And those are, of course, our children.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Children are growing up today, and young people are growing up today in this culture where we've normalized sin.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: You know, we'll kill the baby in the womb.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: But if they escape the womb, we're going to give them radical, very, very strong medicines, uh puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, to actually render them sterile.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: And that's not enough.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: We're going to actually mutilate their very bodies.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Many of these kids are born even without fathers and mothers accepted for that.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: They're bought as surrogates, uh, taken from their mother's womb right at birth and never to see her in many cases again.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Don't even know who their fathers are.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: So this is a very, very confusing time.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: And when these children sense that something's wrong, then they go out seeking help.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: What happens when the actual laws of the land prevent them from finding the help that they seek?
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Tom Hampson's with me today.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: He wrote an article built on sand.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: We're going to be talking about truth, power, the collapse, finally, of a manufactured consensus.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: What happens when a law that shapes an entire generation is built not on truth, but on a story that no one verified?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: What happens when emotion replaces evidence?
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: When institutions are captured and they stopped asking questions, and when dissent is not debated, but it's silenced.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And what happens when it all finally starts to crash down and be exposed?
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Because on March 1st, 2026, the Supreme Court did something extraordinary.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: It looked behind the narrative, and what it found was a house built on sand.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Claymore Become Who We Are podcast, a production of the John Paul II Renewal Center.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I'm Jack Riggert, your host.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: You know, for the young people that are tuning in, listen carefully.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: We're living in an age, as you well know, of confusion and collapse in a time where truth is buried beneath narratives, where institutions demand trust, but resist scrutiny, where young men and young women are told not to think, but just to comply.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: But you're not made for this.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: You're not made for confusion.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: You're made for the truth, for goodness, for beauty.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And you know this is a battle.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And so what we're bringing in today, we're stepping into this battle to try to expose this.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Today with me is Tom Hampson.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: He's a good friend of ours, crime investigator, crime fighter, a man who spent years examining evidence where others accept narratives and taking a punishment and a beating for that, Tom, haven't you?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Hey, welcome to the show, brother.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Glad to be here.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: You wrote an incredible article, it's very deep, in exposing on this an investigation into how unverified testimony, institutional capture, and a manufactured consensus help shape laws across the country, and how the Supreme Court has now begun to dismantle that framework.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Tom, thanks for being here.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Let's start here.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: For someone hearing this for the first time, what actually happened in the Supreme Court case and why does it matter?
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Well, it's important because the um the Supreme Court put limits on what governments can do in terms of controlling uh psychotherapists and how the people are treated.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: It was uh Child's versus Salad.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Basically, they said that if a state is going to pass such a law, it has to meet the strict uh scrutiny standard, which means that it it requires uh compelling state interest.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: It has to be the limited in in the way it's uh applied, and it and it also has to be narrowly tailored in order to meet exactly what the state's trying to control.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: In this case, what they try to do is tell a psychologist that they cannot treat an LGBT person and try to help that person become straight again.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: That's uh called conversion therapy, and that conversion therapy has been banned in over 20 states.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: The Supreme Court said they can't just they can't just do that without meeting these strict scrutiny standards.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: And in the case of Childs vs.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Salazar, they did not meet that standard.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so if we just step back for again for young people, if you're confused about even your identity, I mean who wouldn't be Tom in in these times?
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: You know, you grow up with this, and again, this is normalized.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: You know, these poor young people, even before puberty, have have been exposed to all these different sexualities, all these different twisting and distortions.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And so at the end of the day, if a young person says, you know, I'm feeling these same-sex attractions or whatever it is, right?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: I want to be a trans.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: I am a born a boy, but I want to be a and they they understand that something's up and they want to go to therapy.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: They the parents say they want to go to therapy, say, you know, let's let's explore this, let's help this young person.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And what we find is that you can't just talk with and walk with and journey with these kid kids, can you?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: You you have to affirm them in their brokenness, whatever that is, by law.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: By law.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: And and that's Well, it's actually by the it's actually by the standards of the ethical standards of all these social workers, the psychologists, psychiatrists, their ethical standards prevent them from doing that now, too, in many cases.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: So you've actually you you've taken away free speech in in essence.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: We walk into a let's let's say we have a uh a therapist or a psychologist that wants to actually help this young person get to the bottom of this.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: They're prevented by law for doing what we call talk therapy.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And this is different.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Uh you explained this in the article, Tom.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: There was a time, and and I want to make this clear for young people, there was this thing called conversion therapy, where again, the, you know, it could be very evil.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Unleashed on these kids were electric shock therapy and all kinds of different things.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And that wasn't helping anybody.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: And at the end of the day, you have this poor innocent child who's going to go through some almost torturous what they call conversion therapy.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And I think these evil there was evil on that side, whether you're naive or whether you're actually just an evil person wanting to torture a kid.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: And and I don't want them to get mixed up, Tom, with that.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: So conversion therapy.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Let's unpack that just a little bit, how that all can be.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Well, that's where the that's really where the problem started, because the conversion therapy is basically you want to change what you what you are or how you are.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: It could be you can want to convert from being addicted to to tobacco to being a non-smoker.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: And so you can change in in a number of different ways in your life.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: What they conflated was what was called aversion therapy.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: And aversion therapy was a practice that's really been discredited for decades.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: It was a behavioral modification technique that was used to associate pain or some kind of unpleasant experience with whatever it was you were addicted to.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: So if you, you know, if you, whenever you smoked a cigarette or something, they'd give you an electric shock.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Or they they did this for all kinds of things.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Well, with LGBT, with the somebody that said they were gay or homosexual or a lesbian, they would do the same thing.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: They used, they used pain, they used aversive techniques to try to turn the person around.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: And and those were extremely torturous in many cases.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: They were very tortuous and they fell out of favor in the 60s.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: Basically, it was almost nobody was doing it after the 60s.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: And so, but when when they started passing these conversion therapy bans in these states, the first one was passed in 2012, they conflated that aversion therapy with conversion therapy, with the idea that even in talking to somebody it was torturous for them, that was wrong, it was dangerous for that person.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: And so that's what they did.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: They they talked about aversion therapy in the context of conversion therapy, and everybody got the two confused.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: So um, so if let's talk, let's talk about talk therapy, because I like that term talk therapy, because talk therapy is sitting down with someone who's actually concerned about you, wants to get to the bottom of this, because and and you allude to this in the article too.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, nobody just asking these kids what the trauma was they faced, you know, what the culture did to them, what their families maybe did.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe they suffered sexual abuse, all these things.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: You know, I have a brother that died uh over this kind of stuff, and we it came out uh later on as he was dying that he was sexually abused as a child.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Nobody ever asked them what was going on with that, right?
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: So we just leave people in their pain.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, you know, lobotomies used to be acceptable, you know, and and so yeah, so we have to protect these kids, but this is something bigger than just legislation, Tom.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: You describe a system, like a machine, you know, that's that's really set up to be an illusion and and to and to bring forth these these uh these these lies and to keep people really.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: I you know, I mean, there's no other way to look at it than it really to keep these young people in their confusion and to take advantage of them, use them as pawns for systems.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Can you explain with that, starting with those advocacy groups that you were talking about?
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Well, there's a number of different groups out there, and in fact, this happens in this has happened in passing many, many laws.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: There's groups behind the scenes that most people are not aware of.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: In this case, it was uh Division 44 of the American Psychological Association, which was a group that is focused primarily on LGBT issues.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: They created a uh a uh body of work to show that LGBT is healthy, it's normal, that, and that this what was considered conversion therapy was really bad.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: They had all these studies that showed how bad it was.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: And so they behind the scenes they were doing this.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: And then the two front groups that came out that promoted this this particular law was the Trevor Project, which is a group, an LGBT group, supposedly anti-bullying primarily, and uh suicide prevention kind of group that that was uh um that picked up this information from Division 44, used it to develop model legislation to prohibit this conversion therapy.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: They were joined by this lesbian center for civil rights, I can't remember the name of it exactly, but the two of them developed model legislation, and behind the scenes, they developed a plan that they were going to carry out all over the country basically simultaneously.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: Built they first of all, they had a they developed a propaganda campaign to promote the the legislation.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: They established uh or developed people to talk about it that were that that could do it from an emotional standpoint, they could give personal testimony about how terrible conversion therapy is, and then they also created a narrative to promote the whole idea.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: So it was it was all based on a fiction that they had developed behind the scenes before anybody even knew anything about it.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: Additionally, at the same time, they lined up uh witnesses, lobbyists, lawyers, and and throughout the whole country to uh um uh to get these get this law passed in as many states as possible.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: The idea was to get it passed in fifty states, and then they all rolled it out all at once.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: And so this was overwhelming.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: So we're getting to my opening statement.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: You know, Sister Lucia said the last great battle between our Lord and Satan is going to be over marriage in the family.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: It's very important to always come back to these roots because you're seeing the destruction of our sexuality, of what marriage, what family is supposed to be about.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: All those things I brought up in the beginning are accepted by most of these groups.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: Again, killing a child in the womb, putting them on puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, mutilating their bodies.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: We can't forget that because they'll use words just like you just said, anti-bullying, anti-suicide, whatever.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: And and so it sounds good on the surface.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Of course, we don't want kids to get bullied because they have same-sex attraction.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: It's not the kids' fault.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Now, when they go to a therapist, though, you know, they should be able to talk this through.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: And that's this is what they don't want.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: They don't want the anybody to talk this through with kids because maybe, maybe they won't accept the ideology that they're pushing, and which is really at the end of the day, I just have to name, you know, call a spade a spade.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's a twisting and distortion of of who we are as human beings, and it's certainly marriage in the family, which which Tom, every single civilization throughout history was built on.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: You know, at the center of this, everything that you said, right?
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: These advocacy groups and different things, and they bring out a witness, Sam Brent Brent Brinton, right?
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Right, he's primary witness.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why don't you talk a little bit about him?
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Because I think he's important to the story.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: Well, at the time, Sam Brinton was uh, you know, he he he looked uh he looked fairly uh recent time, right?
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: This is recent times.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: This yeah, this is in this was in 2010.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: He came out and started telling this story about how he was abused by his parents, who happened to be Baptist pre uh ministers, and uh he was abused by them that they you know they tried to convert him to be straight when he was gay.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: And he explained that he had been he he called it conversion therapy, but it was aversion therapy.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: He said he got electroshock treatment, he was they put ice on his hands, they they did all kinds of painful things to him, and he described it in agonizing detail about how it was terrible.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: And and many people bought his story right off.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: I I did significant amount of research on him at the time, and when I looked at the videos that he was testifying about this, he just wasn't credible.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: He he didn't uh his affect wasn't right, he didn't have any details in his story that could be checked out, everything was very vague.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: He didn't have names, he wouldn't name who the who the therapists were.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: So there's a lot of things that were just not credible about his story.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: But from if you looked at it just from an emotional standpoint, it sounded horrifying that this is a terrible thing, nobody should ever have to go through this, and definitely this should be banned.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: But again, like I said, they can they conflated aversion therapy with conversion.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Which therapy from law, Tom, was already was already against the law, right?
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: All those things.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could still do some you could still do this uh aversion therapy.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: So there's a reason people are aghast, right?
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Say, hey, you know, this could this could go down.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: But your point being that it was never verified.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: None of these things that he said was verified.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: So let's slow slow slow it down just a little bit.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: So lawmakers ended up passing laws based on testimony that no one could, or in many cases, didn't even try to confirm, right?
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: Most in most cases, they didn't try to confirm it.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: They just they just took him at face value.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: I said, this is a horrifying story, it's got to be true.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: You know, and I look at it and says, This is so horrifying it can't be true.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: So again, it's it's saying, you know, here's a witness that comes forward, here's somebody that comes forward, tells a story, nobody verifies it.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So this gets us into something deeper, doesn't it, Tom?
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: Because this isn't just about one case now.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: This is about how truth is handled in our culture.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: So let me ask you, let me ask you this directly.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: What happens to a society when it stops verifying the truth of things?
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: It just takes people at their word.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: If I'm an ideologue and I'm pushing my agenda and nobody checks into me, and we actually codify things into law based on a story that's never verified.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: Well, this is happening in many cases.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: This is this is our laws are filled with uh with propagandized um uh it was that they they've been based on total propaganda rather than on truth.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: It happens all the time, and it's happening more so recently than it did in the past, because people are are listening to the propaganda and the emotional story and and the narrative and saying, well, this we have to do something about this.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: But the the the fact is that you can never fix a problem unless you can see it clearly.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: And that's what we're missing now.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: People are not trying to see the problem clearly.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: They're not trying to look at it and say, Well, what is the truth?
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: What yeah, where's the truth of things?
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: In the previous years they actually did that.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: You know, the legislators actually looked at things and said, Well, what is the truth here?
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And you know, Tom, that's a great point because that's exactly what the young people, especially the young men, but but certainly many young women too are are waking up to that fact and asking, what is the truth of things?
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: You know, it's astounding that they're actually waking up to that because they've been indoctrinated not to seek the truth and to accept the state.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: But who is the state, Tom?
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: It's it's a bunch of people, actually.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: You know, you know, we call it the deep state.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: It's just a a people.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And if people uh that are in those positions, and many of them are in these positions, they're not seeking the truth.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: They're pushing an ideology on us.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: So for young people, well, do you think AOC is seeking the truth?
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: And so, so for young people listening, you know, this matters because you're being, again, formed in this environment.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: You're you're being told what to think, what's settled, what cannot be questioned.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: You're censored, right?
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's amazing, Tom.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: You know, you've been censored before for just speaking the truth because I want to ask, what is the truth of things?
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: But here's what I want to say to these young people, because it's gonna take courage, Tom.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: You know, truth doesn't fear questions.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Only narratives fear questions.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: When when someone gets up to discuss something and you're seeking the truth, don't be afraid of that.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: And if you get censored, if you get uh pushed on, if you get called a bully, just because you're asking questions, you know there's a narrative behind that, at least in almost every case.
- 19:28unknown: Right.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Well, and the other thing is that that there isn't any such thing as your truth and my truth.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: There is a truth, and it's not dis it's not distinguishable between individuals.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: Now, the individuals have perspectives, and a lot of times those perspectives perspectives are extremely distorted and wrong.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: But the the challenge for every person is to understand what is real and what isn't, what is true and what's not true.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: And I and I think, Tom, one of the most powerful parts of your article, bring that out, you know, how Justice Gorsuch cut through this.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: What what did he see to your point?
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Well, he saw the narrative behind behind the law.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: He saw that that there was no real foundation for the law, that it was just passed based on nothing.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: It was passed based on a narrative rather than on uh any kind of truth or any kind of substantive.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, let's stop here for a second again because I want our listeners to know this isn't just Jack and Tom talking.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: This is a Supreme Court justice, if you don't know who who uh Justice Gorsuch is.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: So he sits on the Supreme Court.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: He's asking those questions, Tom.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: What is the truth of things, right?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: This this is a devastating point because it means you know the authority people trust can be wrong and often is wrong, to your earlier point.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: And this is what he points out, isn't it?
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: And you know, they also pointed out that that you can't uh limit um science and and uh restrict science in the way that they have in the past, because in the in the years past, I think it was Alito that pointed out in his in the oral arguments, he says, well, there was a case in 1927 where it allowed Supreme Court allowed people with low IQ to be um you know to render sterile, yeah.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: Sterilized.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: And so based on the science at the time, he says the science was wrong.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Well you know you've pointed out you pointed out Tom what Gorsuch brings out that the same organizations that are now censoring talk therapy just a little while ago said that homosexuality and all these things are were a mental illness, right?
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: So his point, and I guess our point here too, is that the that these people are just getting blown around by the spirit of the age and whatever feels right at that time, then we can just change our laws to reflect that.
- 22:00unknown: Right.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Well the the thing is that you still have to even you may have to create laws on things that are wrong, but you have to be open to the fact that they might be wrong.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: You can't just close off debate, which is what they've done with this conversion therapy ban.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: In fact, what conversion therapy ban does is protect predators because there a substantial number of these children who have been who have come out as LGBT have been sexually abused by somebody before that happened.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: And so you don't allow a psychologist even to inquire about the history of, you know, like what makes you think that you're gay?
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: What how did this happen?
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: What what's the background here?
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: What's your first experience?
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: They can't go into that.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: And so what ha what the the result is that these predators that are preying on the kids are going away without ever being confronted or held accountable.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and actually it's being normalized.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: So it's totally normal, yeah.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: So let's start to bring this home for the the young people that are listening right now.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: You know, what does it mean for them?
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: What's what's the bottom line when when young people are looking out at the world and saying, you know, what is the truth of things?
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Well the bottom line is they have to look at what's behind what's what's the information, what's the body, what's the foundation of what they're claiming is the truth.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Because the foundation is where you're going to find the weaknesses.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And it's uh like I said, the propaganda is what finds the what what's what establishes the foundation and the and the emotional stories, the anecdotal evidence that they use to try to touch the touch the hearts of people, that's where that's built off of that propaganda.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: And very often those emotional stories are lies.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Like Sam Brinton, it was a lie that uh that he was talking about.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: And then on top of that is the whole narrative.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: So you you first encounter the narrative, look at the emotional stories behind it, look at the propaganda behind it.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: So you have to look look at these things carefully, and it's not that hard, especially today with uh with the assistance of AI, you can find these things out.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, let's let's just uh as we start to wind out, talk a little bit about Sam Britton, because I mean we found out that as as time went on, he just became his his whole life became more and more and more distorted.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: When when you personally buy into these lies, and I would say this for young people too, when they personally buy into these lies, your life isn't going to get better.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: You know, it just continually twists and and distorts, you know.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Well, the earliest videos I saw him, he looked like a normal person, like anybody that would be running around in your neighborhood.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: He had regular haircut, and yeah, and as time went on, he became more and more strange.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: He shaved his head, uh he started wearing weird uh colors, he put on lipstick, and and by the time Biden appointed him as uh an assistant secretary for the Department of Energy, he was a full-blown trans.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: He was he was walking around in high heels and and in dresses, and uh wound up losing that job because he was stealing luggage at the airports.
- 25:11unknown: Yeah.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: So and they saw him stealing luggage at the end of the year.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: He went from being what coming across as a fairly normal person to being this wild luggage thief at the airports that dressed as a dressed as a woman.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: It just and and and our and and laws were based on at least partially on his testimony, right?
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: Well, his testimony was the primary thing that touched people from a from an emotional standpoint.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: It was that it was you gotta realize that legislators are are affected by emotional stories just like anybody else is.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: So when you go in there and and it's presented as a true story, and this this is and and you say, wow, this is this is horrifying.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: We gotta do something to stop this kind of thing, well, what what they were stopping was something that wasn't happening.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: And so what they did was they stopped the good the good parts, the uh because you know, whatever you think of LGBT, it doesn't make any difference what you think.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: If somebody is uh uh gay or a lesbian and they don't want to be, how can you tell them that they they can't have a therapist uh help them to become uh help them to change their desires?
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: The Bible even says, be transformed by the renewal of your mind.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: Isn't that what we're supposed to do?
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: And and again, you know, for young people, uh, you know, this is a battle.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: And again, I want to get back to this is a b really a battle between your identity.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: You know, there's a you know, Satan doesn't have his own clay.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Uh he can only twist and distort us.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: At the end of the day, you know, they want to prevent, and there's a society and an evil force out there that really wants you to prevent getting back to your own heart.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: Uh, when you feel anxious or restless, that's not such a bad thing.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: It might be, you know, your your your heart telling you seek the truth.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: What is the truth of things?
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: You you know, you're wor you're you're living in a world where narratives are manufactured, you see this all the time, where consensus can be engineered, where truth can be buried under emotional forces.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: And uh you have to listen.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: No one's coming to save this generation.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, this is a grassroots thing.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: And when I say that, nobody at the top, you know, you're not gonna have a political force, or even even uh, you know, the Pope out of the Vatican, uh, you know, you're gonna have to go in and get into your uh into your own heart through prayer.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to connect with Jesus Christ.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: You know, at the end of the day, to just get blown around by the spirit of the age.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: You owe it to yourself to uh to get down on your knees and find out that this is a battle of the individual heart first.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Whatever you choose, you're free.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: But I think if if you're seeking what's true, good, and beautiful, uh, you have to start with uh with the faith.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: If something's stirring inside you, that's why we started Claymore Militus Christi, that whole postulate is just to help young people get to the truth of things.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: So I'll put that I'll put that in the show notes.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: I'll also put Tom your article in the show notes.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: If people want to dig in more, and we'll do another show on this, it's it's very, very important, you know, because these young people are growing up and they know life's supposed to be an adventure, we always tell them, but it's going to be a battle.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: And always try to find what's true, what's good, and what's beautiful, especially the beauty of love in the world.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: And whenever you see these forces twisting and distorting this, you have to say, what is the truth of things?
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: And and to your point, Tom, you know, that's what you do.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: That's what your work is, to expose the truth, uh, and and to stand up against stolen innocence of children, to protect marriage in the family, and to protect our free speech, you know.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: You know, you're you're free to make choices out there, but you're not free to push this down, these ideologies on young people, especially by law, Tom.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: Uh any last words on all that?
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I think really the battle is the adventure we live.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: And that's that's what uh you know, I've been doing this for many, many years, and I've had an extraordinarily adventurous life, and it all has revolved around being engaged, literally engaged in the battle throughout that whole period of time.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you've seen you've seen a lot, huh?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: A lot, yes, I have.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and we've talked about it.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: I've been blessed for it by it too.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: It's uh um it's encouraging uh to know that you that everybody has the ability to see what's really going on if they try.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: And it's and life is much more interesting if you can look at it what the truth is rather than just kind of live on the surface.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when you get you live on the surface, time you just get blown around, don't you?
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: And you know, at some point you got to go deep.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: And if you go deep, that means I was in this battle over uh against this conversion, uh this conversion ban at the very beginning, starting before the first law was even passed.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: And we got overwhelmed and destroyed in our efforts, but it was it was a heck of a fight.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: And it's very gratifying to see it come around and see the Supreme Court finally take our side in this.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: You know, with the first people standing, just like we've seen in so many instances, you know, with this COVID and all these kind of things, it's the first people standing just get attacked.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: And you were on the forefront of that.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: And the power of you just feel the power of evil just being forced on you from it's it's it's all over, isn't it?
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: Well, there was this whole this this whole machine was coming after us that was already it was already an army put together.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: It was like just like marching, you know, across the landscape, and we're trying to just a little few people here and there trying to deal with it.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: And it was just it was it was just overwhelming.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: We were just getting we were getting destroyed left and right.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: So hey, you know, young people listening today and and and and old people, you know, you're gonna have to make a connection with the heart.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: We're spiritual people.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, if you just think your biology getting thrown around, you'd just be used and abused, right?
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: We're a body and a soul.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: You got to connect your soul with that source that's going to connect you.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, we live like cut flowers, Tom, huh?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: You know, cut flowers, they look good for a while, your life.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: You know, you go out and pick a bunch of beautiful flowers, put them in a vase, and that's your life.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: But after a while, you'll start to wilt and you'll start to die.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: And then when you do, hopefully you look out and say, okay, what is the truth of things?
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: You know, what is this life all about?
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: And there's uh there's only one way, brother.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: And I've been trying all kinds of other ways before this, you know, but it's it's to finally get down on your knees and say, God, do you have a plan for my life?
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: And then, and then, and then listen, listen, because at least you know you're gonna hear the truth, right?
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Uh Jesus said, you know, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Hey, God bless you, Tom.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being uh with us today.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: Thanks, everyone.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Talk to you again later.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: Bye bye.
