This is Part 2 of Making Sense of Woke

“Woke” is the world, “life in the flesh” as St. Paul called it, a world without God…St Augustine would go on to refer to as “the City of Man”.

The “Gospel” then is life, St Paul called it “Life in the Spirit”, Per St Augustine, the “The City of God.”

And here you have it, two opposing sides, that in a sense all comes back to Adam’s fall from grace in the garden of Eden that is told in Genesis. God made everything, and it was good. The Crown of His creation being Adam and Eve, it was very good. Then the fall…
