- 0:33Comfortable and get started Hello.
- 0:37Welcome back to the podcast.
- 0:39I have a special podcast for you today.
- 0:43We will be talking about medications.
- 0:45I've gotten so many.
- 0:47Requests and questions about my philosophy, thought process beliefs about medications.
- 0:53And today.
- 0:54I'm going to put all of that to rest.
- 0:56Because when people hear functional medicine practitioner, they think that we are against medication.
- 1:01And yes, granted, there are some doctors out there that are completely against medications, but I am not one of them.
- 1:07I repeat.
- 1:07I am not against medications.
- 1:10Wow, Dr.
- 1:11Jensey.
- 1:12What?
- 1:12Yes.
- 1:13I know I've done many podcasts, Facebook lives, I G talking to how bad medications are.
- 1:19But what I felt to state is that I myself will recommend medications in state of emergency.
- 1:26As a matter of fact, I prescribed a Z-Pak and.
- 1:29Prednisone to a patient.
- 1:31Who had really severe symptoms, chest congestion, wheezing.
- 1:36Coffin, cut a virus out there.
- 1:39And I did not want the patient to go to an urgent care or emergency room and wait for hours so I prescribe.
- 1:46Uh, partner zone only for three days.
- 1:48And also Z-Pak.
- 1:49As needed, fortunately the partner zone after two days of taking the partner zone, She didn't need the Z-Pak.
- 1:56which is really what a good, the cough the wheezing went away, she felt great.
- 1:59And now we are working on building her immune system.
- 2:03So that is how I use medications.
- 2:05But let's talk about it.
- 2:06What do I think?
- 2:08What is my belief about medications?
- 2:10Do I really hit medications?
- 2:11The answer is no.
- 2:12I don't.
- 2:12I still maintain all my, licenses in the conventional world.
- 2:17That I need to prescribe controlled substance medications.
- 2:20Because again, my job as a functional medicine doctor is to make sure that my patient is safe.
- 2:25They are stabilized.
- 2:26And when you work with a doctor like myself, you don't really need to go to your primary care doctor because I can do exactly what they do.
- 2:33So let's dig into it.
- 2:34Let's talk about medication.
- 2:36That's exciting.
- 2:37So before we get started, let's just talk about what is medication.
- 2:41I Googled it.
- 2:41And according to all the online dictionary.
- 2:44And medication is the treatment using drugs.
- 2:47And medication is a treatment using drugs..
- 2:51Illegal drugs.
- 2:52That's what medication is for me.
- 2:54Medication is a combination of chemical substances.
- 2:58I put together.
- 3:00To give somebody maintain or to numb they symptoms.
- 3:04That's my personal definition of medication.
- 3:06Because if you think about mitigation, the source what, where it was made, but vacations were made in a laboratory.
- 3:13And there's nothing good.
- 3:14Comes out of a laboratory with a whole bunch of wonderful scientist researchers putting together testing chemicals, mixing chemicals, and then.
- 3:22Lisa to the public.
- 3:23For us to take.
- 3:25Now again.
- 3:25The way I use medications.
- 3:27Completely different my belief system is that we need medications to stabilize.
- 3:32Your symptoms your body.
- 3:34But temporary.
- 3:35We should never be a medication longterm.
- 3:37Of anything.
- 3:38The body will fight you.
- 3:40And if we put in tons of chemicals, we are increasing the toxic load in our bodies.
- 3:45As we know, with every single medication, there are side effects it's listed on the internet.
- 3:51And the FDA is making sure that we all know what we put into our body.
- 3:54So we are taking these pills at our own expense.
- 3:57The other thing I don't like about medication.
- 4:00Is the way medications are being prescribed.
- 4:02It's the belief that you got to be on the medication for the rest of your life.
- 4:06If you have diabetes, there's no other solutions.
- 4:08The medication is eight.
- 4:09And new try this medication.
- 4:11That didn't work or you increase the dose.
- 4:13So there's never.
- 4:14Uh, will solution provided by taking the medication?
- 4:17And for me, that's a problem.
- 4:19I don't want to be on a pill forever when I stopped taking the pill.
- 4:23All my symptoms come back.
- 4:25If medication is a treatment and is supposed to treat my problems.
- 4:28So I should be taking it for however, like a day, two days.
- 4:32Three days a week.
- 4:33And then have my problems treated.
- 4:35But unfortunately that is not the case with medications.
- 4:38And another issue I have with medication is that there are so many for one condition.
- 4:43I have diabetes, but there are 300 pills you can take.
- 4:46There are so many insulin injections you can take and pharmaceutical companies, uh, we listen new medications every single day.
- 4:54To me again, that's a problem.
- 4:56Can I just stick one pill and just get rid of my diabetes.
- 4:58Why do I have to take Metformin?
- 5:00That didn't work because I have stomach issues or then I have to take glyburide Then I'm taking Januvia that didn't work like.
- 5:07So many things Lente.
- 5:08So human lands, so many medications out there for one condition.
- 5:12And that was the same thing.
- 5:13With high blood pressure.
- 5:15I start with Lasix.
- 5:16They didn't work.
- 5:17Hydrochloric ties.
- 5:18I didn't work.
- 5:19Listen up.
- 5:19Well, so there are so many different classifications.
- 5:22But then again, you might say, well, Dr.
- 5:23Genty.
- 5:23And if you're a practitioner listening to this podcast while yes, we take medications because it depends on what, you know, Going into the body.
- 5:30They are different mechanism taking place.
- 5:31I understand that, but can we just do one pill?
- 5:34Am I asking for too much for that mechanism?
- 5:37It's just to me, doesn't sit well.
- 5:40And that was the reason why I felt like a hypocrite.
- 5:43Every single time that I prescribed medication in a conventional world, because that's all I was doing was prescribing.
- 5:49I was never given the opportunity or creating the opportunity To really know the, with cause of the problem.
- 5:56That's why I was able to see 20 people in one day, because all I'm doing is prescription.
- 6:00Or I'll just write it and the nurse will call it in.
- 6:03But at the end of the day, I'm always thinking about the individual is taking the medication.
- 6:06Are they really getting their results or they will be getting the outcome or they will.
- 6:10Healing.
- 6:10I always pound on that.
- 6:12Like, how are they feeling?
- 6:13And many times I will give a medication for UNH rock infection and the patient will come back with a yeast infection.
- 6:19Or I'll give you medication for acid reflux, then the patient will start having fatigue I still process or stomach issues, because again, The acid reflux medications is reducing the production of stomach acid.
- 6:32That is needed to work on the food.
- 6:34So there's, malabsorptions, or anemia.
- 6:37Huge with acid reflux.
- 6:38So I always wonder, like, why am I doing this?
- 6:41Is there a better way of yet given the medication to stabilize and then find what caused.
- 6:47Which is functional medicine.
- 6:48So that's my issue with conventional medicine or with scription medication is that it is a drugs.
- 6:53I feel like many of us are addicted And that's why every single aches and pains we have, we run to take the drugs.
- 6:59We'll go to your local.
- 7:01Pharmacy CVS or Walgreens, and then we'll get a medications.
- 7:05Which is not good.
- 7:06Believe it or not, that's an addiction.
- 7:07And then we're afraid of letting go of the medication because we're afraid of getting the pain back.
- 7:12When you do stop the medication, the fear is there.
- 7:14The fear is powerful, but yet it's not really helping.
- 7:17It's not really fixing the problem.
- 7:19It gives you some.
- 7:20Instant gratification, we leave, but at the end of the day, the problem is still there.
- 7:25And that's what I want you to think about.
- 7:26Like how can we fix the problem without numbing the symptoms?
- 7:29So.
- 7:30Let's talk about.
- 7:31The discovery.
- 7:33Of medication.
- 7:34Back in the days in the 1950s, 1940s, 1960s.
- 7:39Medicine or medications were administered in the form of herbal concussion.
- 7:43And as science.
- 7:45Advance and evolve.
- 7:46Chemist.
- 7:47We're able to extract the active ingredients from a natural source to make more potent medicine.
- 7:53For example, aspirin that we all love, right?
- 7:56The doctor says, take a baby.
- 7:58Aspirin is good for your heart because aspirin used to be happy was discovered from the Willow tree, which is the bulk of which was used to meet traditional.
- 8:07Herbal medicine.
- 8:08Now, when you go purchase your aspirin now, You look at the aspirin.
- 8:12Look at the side effects that aspirin can cause, and also the active ingredients.
- 8:17So, we search in Asper and I'm like, okay, great.
- 8:19It doesn't say whether to book here.
- 8:21Says active ingredients Rocks.
- 8:23Corn starch.
- 8:24Hi, poor mellows.
- 8:25Those powdered cellulose.
- 8:27And then Which is, I don't understand what that is.
- 8:29So there's no arable.
- 8:31Concussion, when you look at that ingredients of aspirin, Over the counter.
- 8:36But yet back in the days, Aspen used to be good.
- 8:39We used to take an aspirin for anything for your headaches.
- 8:41You take an aspirin to di.
- 8:43Prevent world-class with the can Aspen.
- 8:45But it's not the case now because as we get.
- 8:47We are busy with diseases coming out.
- 8:50Chemists.
- 8:51We searchers have to make manmade products now.
- 8:54And that's why we used to have fewer side effects back in the days.
- 8:58Now we have a lot more side effects.
- 9:00And that's why people don't want to take medications.
- 9:02They didn't want to experience the side effects.
- 9:04So that's what medications used to be back in the days used to be nacho elbow concussion.
- 9:09Not anymore.
- 9:10We have a higher demand, not enough supplies.
- 9:13And it takes time to extract nacho staff from a tree from a potluck.
- 9:18And the chemist and researchers do not have time because they have to produce.
- 9:22And that's why there's different formulations, different type of medicine, medications for one symptoms.
- 9:28So let's talk about why people don't want to take medications.
- 9:32Because so often patients will come to me and say that, the doctor prescribed it.
- 9:36I don't want to take it.
- 9:36And I asked, why is that?
- 9:37I just don't want to take a pill.
- 9:39I want to fix the problem.
- 9:40Because they are not into alignment.
- 9:42The medications.
- 9:43Or that little intuition tells them not to take the medications or they've taken medications in the past and have not seen a solution.
- 9:50Oh, they just go through that.
- 9:51To get prescribed yet.
- 9:52Another pill.
- 9:53And not appeal and that appeal.
- 9:54And it's frustrating when new, trying to seek help you trying to fix your problem.
- 9:58But yet you get in the pill after pill.
- 10:00That is very frustrating.
- 10:01But people don't want to take medications because they don't understand the directions.
- 10:05How many times your doctor prescribed medications to you and you still confused about, oh, how do I take this?
- 10:09I hear that so often they don't understand the directions.
- 10:12People need to understand the medication's purpose, the safety and effectiveness.
- 10:17As well as potential risk for mixing medications, with food and supplements.
- 10:22We don't understand why we taking this medication.
- 10:24We don't understand what's in the medications.
- 10:26We go to the pharmacies.
- 10:27The doctor called it in the nurse call the day, but yet we just taken it, but we don't know why.
- 10:31Why am I taking this medication?
- 10:33I'm not always in why people don't take meds.
- 10:35Because they forget.
- 10:36The on so many medications.
- 10:38Some people take 3, 4, 5 medications.
- 10:41And they forget life happens.
- 10:43It's not a priority.
- 10:44Also the unpleasant side effects is huge.
- 10:47Right.
- 10:48We want to take the medications.
- 10:50We don't want the side effects associated with it.
- 10:53What is the purpose of taking a pill?
- 10:54To be having.
- 10:55Stomach issues.
- 10:56So for instance, the baby aspirin now that are being produced or manufactured in a laboratory, the side effects of the baby Aspen is ringing in your ears.
- 11:04Confusion, hallucination.
- 11:06Rapid breathing.
- 11:07I'm reading this from the FDA website.
- 11:09Seizures, severe nausea, vomiting, stomach issues.
- 11:13Coughing up blood.
- 11:15That's the side effects of medications.
- 11:17vomiting that looks at coffee.
- 11:18Fever sometimes my last, up to three days.
- 11:21So if you never had.
- 11:22Rapid breathing, or you never had ringing in your ears or you never had stomach issues and you start taking the baby aspirin.
- 11:28And you take one of those three, those in, sometimes it takes time for the, side effects to express themselves for them to take place.
- 11:36Many people don't think it's not the medication that goes in the latest symptoms must be something else.
- 11:41But yet the thing that you started is the medication.
- 11:44And according to the FDA.
- 11:46the most common side effects of baby aspirin or aspirin is upstate stomach and heartburn.
- 11:53Wow.
- 11:53Heart burn, acid reflux, drowsiness, and mild headaches.
- 11:57but the most common ones are upset.
- 11:59Stomach.
- 12:00Heartburn drowsiness and mild headaches.
- 12:02can you relate to that?
- 12:03And I go to doctor's office for one particular health issues.
- 12:09And they give me one medications.
- 12:11That one medication doesn't work.
- 12:12I go back and say, doctor, that doesn't work.
- 12:14They give me another medication you ended up having more than you wanted more than you desire.
- 12:19Of course, the more medications you take, the more side effects you experienced.
- 12:23I just, the way it is.
- 12:24So unpleasant side effects medication doesn't seem to be working.
- 12:28Medications don't work.
- 12:30They numb your symptoms.
- 12:31They give you some relief, what you need to work on identifying the problem.
- 12:36And not always in why people don't take medications because of the cost.
- 12:40Right because now insurance is getting very smart.
- 12:44I will have care.
- 12:45Cost is going up.
- 12:46Insurance denies medications all the time.
- 12:49It's out of pocket.
- 12:50I had a patient and went to pharmacy to pick up Medications.
- 12:53And unfortunately the insurance didn't cover.
- 12:55And she didn't have the money.
- 12:57so she didn't pressure the medication.
- 12:58And what happened to that patient?
- 13:00Still struggling with the symptoms have more symptoms.
- 13:03But yet no results, no relief.
- 13:05Patient cannot afford to fill the prescriptions.
- 13:08Uh, they decide to Deke less than the prescribed those.
- 13:10Sometimes they just Don't fill up the prescription at all.
- 13:13So.
- 13:14Going back to the side effects.
- 13:16When you have side effects, as I'm am went over with the aspirin, then you experience more health complications.
- 13:23Because you have more side effects.
- 13:25Your body's recognizing this chemicals you put into your body.
- 13:29As a toxin.
- 13:30Then you have massive inflammation.
- 13:32And you wonder why you haven't stomach upset after he take the baby aspirin because your body doesn't want want the Aspen to be.
- 13:39In your body for a long time, you have to decrease the use.
- 13:42Again, medications are used as an emergency.
- 13:44I use medications.
- 13:46As an emergency.
- 13:47If you have poison Ivy.
- 13:48Oh, you have enough electric shock or you have an allergic reactions.
- 13:51I'm not going to wait for the herbs to work.
- 13:53I am going to give you.
- 13:54Valtrex, I will give you a medication.
- 13:57As I mentioned, I prescribed medication earlier today because I wanted the patient to really get some relief from all the coughing, the wheezing.
- 14:03I didn't want her lungs to collapse.
- 14:05I didn't want her lungs to be under so much stress and.
- 14:08Natural medicine takes time to work.
- 14:10So I'm always prescribing medication.
- 14:12When I see feet as an emergency.
- 14:14So according to the FDA.
- 14:17Glad the FDA recommends that every single.
- 14:20Manufacturer or laboratories to list all the side effects.
- 14:24On the website.
- 14:25The FDA wants you to know exactly what adverse side effects you could experience from medication.
- 14:31All known adverse reactions should be listed on the website of the manufacturer or even on the package, into.
- 14:38Because at the end of the day, everything you do, you do an at your own risk.
- 14:42It is your decision.
- 14:43Nobody will it came to your house, forces you to take any pill.
- 14:47So therefore if you take an, a medication for a long time, you're not.
- 14:50Not seeing the results you experience any side effects.
- 14:52Think about you being in charge.
- 14:55You be in control.
- 14:56And how you can fix that problem.
- 14:58So in order for medication to be approved by the FDA.
- 15:02The drug manufacturer has to list all its known adverse reactions.
- 15:06He has to be public knowledge.
- 15:08Remember that.
- 15:08Because again, it's At your own risk.
- 15:10Now what could cause adverse reactions?
- 15:14So first let's discuss what is an adverse reaction.
- 15:17And adverse reaction.
- 15:18According to the online dictionary is an Unexpected medical problem.
- 15:23That happens, doing treatment with a drug or therapy.
- 15:26And adverse reaction is an On inspected.
- 15:29Medical problem that happens doing treatment with a drug or, or that therapy.
- 15:34When I take a medication, I don't want any unexpected medical problem to happen.
- 15:38I already have a medical problem.
- 15:39I'm trying to treat them, trying to tackle.
- 15:41Why would I add more than what I have.
- 15:43Right.
- 15:43Does it make sense?
- 15:44to me.
- 15:44Why I will ask for more unexpected problem.
- 15:47When I already have the ones that I, I'm trying to get what of.
- 15:50So all medications have side effects.
- 15:53Every single one of them.
- 15:54The baby aspirin.
- 15:55I went over, it has side effects.
- 15:57Now let's talk about the most common over-the-counter medication that all of us have used to.
- 16:03We've taken them at one point in our lives, which is Tylenol.
- 16:06Tylenol is.
- 16:08Notorious for side effects.
- 16:09But this side effects are silent.
- 16:11And for me, I find that the side effects kind of creep in later on.
- 16:15You don't see, you don't get, you don't feel the side effects right away.
- 16:18So Tylenol acetaminophen.
- 16:20We use that for pain.
- 16:21We use that four to reduce fever.
- 16:23It is a very popular over the counter medication, but let's look at the ingredient what's in the Tylenol.
- 16:29If you purchase this, I know you look at the box what's in it.
- 16:32So the first one is powdered cellulose.
- 16:34Where do we get part of cellulose?
- 16:36I don't know.
- 16:37Starch sodium starch, magnesium stair innate purify water.
- 16:42There's F D N C number.
- 16:4540.
- 16:46Which is a coloring, Red number 40.
- 16:48So that's why you start to notice pigmentation of redness back it's red.
- 16:52Aluminum lake.
- 16:54Polyethylene glycol, which is dangerous.
- 16:56Titanium dioxide, F D N C yellow, number six, eliminate some lake.
- 17:02Police sobbing, 80 sucralose.
- 17:04Oh, my.
- 17:05Iron oxide in wax.
- 17:07Now tell me any of these ingredients that I listed.
- 17:11Can you identify any of them?
- 17:12You might say, well, it has magnesium stereo in it, but that's a preservative.
- 17:16There's no herbal in talent.
- 17:18There's no herbs.
- 17:19There's no nature in Tylenol.
- 17:20But yet many of us take that medication for everything.
- 17:24We have a pain with the Tylenol.
- 17:25You know, fever with the tunnel.
- 17:27And some people I know just they live on Tylenol because it's safer than a B.
- 17:31Often.
- 17:32Again, the side effects of Tylenol.
- 17:34The side effects, stomach issues can affect your kidneys.
- 17:36Can affect your liver.
- 17:37There's so many things.
- 17:38effect.
- 17:39So we have to make sure we understand.
- 17:42Like why we taking it?
- 17:44And should we take it?
- 17:46A better options of taking Tylenol.
- 17:48If you have stomach issues.
- 17:49You have stomach pain.
- 17:50Do you take the ton or do you take something else?
- 17:52Right because.
- 17:53Blister is the side effects rashes.
- 17:56stomach issues or side effects of Tylenol.
- 17:58So all this go back.
- 18:00Did I have this pain before I take the pill or has this been happening?
- 18:04After I take the pill.
- 18:05Every single medications have side effects.
- 18:07So that's my thing with medication is that yes.
- 18:10I don't mind prescribing it.
- 18:11I don't mind taking it.
- 18:13But many of us.
- 18:14Not addicted to it and not only addicted to the medication, we overuse the medications, which backfires on us.
- 18:20And makes us sick even more.
- 18:22There shouldn't be a trillion medications for one condition.
- 18:25And all the side effects that are listed on the website are not good for our bodies.
- 18:29Who wants to have kidney failure after taking the medication?
- 18:32Immunosuppressive medication.
- 18:34At medications for your auto immune disease.
- 18:36We want us to have.
- 18:37Liver.
- 18:38Issues after taking the medication.
- 18:40And one thing we forget to understand too, is that yes.
- 18:43We take the medication, your body recognize it.
- 18:44Your body give you a break.
- 18:46But your liver is the one that has to metabolize it.
- 18:48And over time people go into liver failure.
- 18:51Or sluggish liver or cancer because.
- 18:54At the processes that are taking place is not is, is overwhelming for the liver.
- 19:00Because everything was to deliver all this chemicals.
- 19:02We are feeding our bodies by taking an over the counter, goes into the liver.
- 19:06Over the counters.
- 19:07Is as dangerous as prescription medication.
- 19:10You remember one time you have to get a prescription to get Nexium.
- 19:13For your acid reflux.
- 19:14And now next year, I'm the purple pill.
- 19:17Is so awkward tonic.
- 19:18So pilot sex, they are so available.
- 19:20Now you can just walk in and get them.
- 19:22But when you look at the box, you see that according to the FDA, you shouldn't be taking any acid with Doosan medications for more than two weeks.
- 19:30Because these, they can make your bone weaker.
- 19:33You can get bone loss.
- 19:35But the doctor didn't tell you that I never told my patient that I never.
- 19:38Any side effects with my patients.
- 19:39I would give him the pill and then off I go to the next patient.
- 19:42And this is what him to find out what the side effects are.
- 19:44And when they come, when they call me.
- 19:47Oh, you could adapt and say doctor.
- 19:48Well, I started taking the pill.
- 19:49My stomach is hurting.
- 19:50What is normal continue taking the pill.
- 19:52Or they switch you to another pill, but yet same problem.
- 19:55So medications.
- 19:57Our use for emergency.
- 19:59They are good.
- 20:00They have the own.
- 20:01Purpose.
- 20:02Like with everything in life.
- 20:04But I feel like many.
- 20:05Prescribers are over prescribing.
- 20:08And many of us are overusing the medications, and many of us are literally addicted to medications.
- 20:13Because we go to take a pill for everything.
- 20:15We don't want to deal with the pain.
- 20:16We don't want to figure it out.
- 20:18We don't want to investigate.
- 20:19We just go and just pop a pill.
- 20:21Which is the wrong thing to do.
- 20:22On every single level, take the medication when you have enough severe reactions or severe illness.
- 20:29And then once you are.
- 20:31Stabilize and your symptoms has decreased.
- 20:34Stop the medications, figure it out, find out why.
- 20:37Don't depend on medications and I felt a lot of time people.
- 20:41Have luck shackles around the feet.
- 20:44But medications.
- 20:45And it came with free from the medications.
- 20:47Because the medication dictate what they do.
- 20:50Some people have to take a pill to function every day.
- 20:53Which is not normal.
- 20:54That's not life.
- 20:55I know when created to take a pill to function every day, we're creating to evolve, to thrive.
- 21:00To have to have that we want.
- 21:01If you have any chronic health conditions and you feel like you don't understand my situation.
- 21:05I have lupus and I have auto immune.
- 21:07I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
- 21:08I'm tired all the time.
- 21:10And I have cancer.
- 21:11I understand just me.
- 21:12I do.
- 21:13But I also know that.
- 21:14The medications you are taking.
- 21:16Can only go so far.
- 21:17And we continuous taking that medication.
- 21:20You only gonna get more symptoms is gonna interfere.
- 21:24Create more inflammation and you're not gonna get the results and the half that you so desire.
- 21:29I'm not saying that anybody should stop the medications, please.
- 21:32I'm not saying you should.
- 21:33All I'm saying is work with your doctor.
- 21:35Find the common ground.
- 21:37Evaluate or assess and investigate to see if there's not a way you can get similar results by not taking the medication.
- 21:45And you can do that by working with your doctor, shouldn't be something you should be doing.
- 21:49Do not stop your medication.
- 21:50Cold Turkey.
- 21:51the takeaway message on this podcast is that there's a solution for every problem.
- 21:55There are many options out there and medications are not the only option.
- 21:59It shouldn't be the only one you should always look in for the less.
- 22:02Toxic.
- 22:03Less.
- 22:04side effects.
- 22:05because the it's out there back in the day, we didn't have medications that we do now.
- 22:09So what would people do?
- 22:10When somebody had a headache, what did they do?
- 22:12They stop the look.
- 22:14They said, okay, did I drink enough water?
- 22:15Did I eat food?
- 22:17Do I have food sensitivities?
- 22:18Am I under stress?
- 22:20Did I sleep?
- 22:20What's causing the headache.
- 22:21You have toxins.
- 22:22That's what they did.
- 22:23When people have diabetes.
- 22:24Okay.
- 22:25Has my diet do have insulin resistance to have a gut infections?
- 22:28Like what's going on?
- 22:29And then you take that information.
- 22:31You fix it so you can stop taking the medications.
- 22:35Hopefully, I hope that when some clarity and what I see on how I view medications and how I use medications for my patients, because at the end of the day, we should never depend on anything.
- 22:46We should only depend on us the knowledge that we have, the education that we have, the power that we have.
- 22:51That's the only thing we should depend on.
- 22:53So not appeal because the minute you depend on the pill, it, depending on anything else, then you become very.
- 22:59Not addictive, but dependent on that pill.
- 23:01And then you lose your power that way.
- 23:03It's like you're asking the pill for permission to live like medication can have permission to go to work today can have permission to walk today.
- 23:11You don't want to get permission from anything that's external to your body.
- 23:14You have everything that you need to heal within and you need to dig into that.
- 23:19Use that information wake up every single morning.
- 23:23Try our very best.
- 23:24And just take it one day at a time.
- 23:26That's my recommendations for you.
