- 1:25Well, I I love a good puppet I've got.
- 1:27It we like puppets. So much so that I picked a movie

- 2:23wasdbeyondwasdbeyond@gmail.com. That is WASDBEY ond@gmail.com.
- 2:33Now into the movie. Noah, lead us away, buddy.
- 2:37All right, so this week I was scrolling around screen box
- 2:41looking at the wide selection. And I I like when I'm looking
- 2:49like, I like looking at looking up to see if there's like any
- 2:55big like Wikipedia page that comes up when you search for
- 2:58some of these movies because a lot of the time you know, some
- 3:00of the smaller ones, you cocaine crabs, they're like not much
- 3:04known about them. So I really like it when there's
- 3:05like a story. And this movie has quite a quite
- 3:11a story about how it came about and people who had changed hands
- 3:15with who was going to be attached to play certain roles.
- 3:20There's a lot of lot of interesting stuff there.
- 3:22But I picked the 1978 Anthony Hopkins movie Magic, which is it
- 3:30was directed by Richard Attenborough, written by William
- 3:34Goldman, who is the guy who wrote The Princess Bride.
- 3:38Which is crazy to me. Which is It's Actually Magic is
- 3:42the book he wrote before he wrote The Princess Bride, which
- 3:45was a two-part tribute to a mentor of his.
- 3:51That's cool. So he so it's written by him and
- 3:56he he also was brought on to write the screenplay.
- 4:00It's got Ann, Margaret and Burgess Meredith.
- 4:03It's a psychological thriller drama about a struggling
- 4:06magician and ventriloquist named Corky, accompanied by a dirty
- 4:10talking dummy named Fats, their rise to fame, the effects of
- 4:14fame, and his troubled mind. So the story of this goes in
- 4:211976, Joseph E Levine purchased the rights to a novel by William
- 4:26Goldman. It was also called Magic, and
- 4:30like I said, he wrote The Princess Bride just after this
- 4:32one. He purchased those rights for
- 4:35$1,000,000 and hired Goldman to write the screenplay for the
- 4:39adaptation. There's many differences in the
- 4:42book, such as a scene where Corky meets Fats for the first
- 4:47time. It actually happens, sort of
- 4:50like what we see in the opening where he gets back from a show
- 4:53and it did not go well. And he's really, he's like,
- 4:56masking how horribly he did. And actually in the book, he was
- 5:03going to make an attempt on his life because he didn't see it
- 5:06going anywhere. And that's when the first.
- 5:09Yeah, that's when the fat's voice appears for the first time
- 5:13and he sees this and he sees the dummy.
- 5:16There's also in the book, it is presented as like more like
- 5:21Diaries from Corky, and it's presented as if these Diaries
- 5:26are part of evidence for a crime.
- 5:29So that's so it's a bit of foreshadowing.
- 5:31I'm sort of where this story is going to go as right when
- 5:34they're starting off. You already know it's not going
- 5:37to it's not going to end well. So when when you're watching the
- 5:43movie, I really don't, I don't really get that impression.
- 5:47You know, like it starts off the first time you see Fats.
- 5:50It's after a year of them practicing together.
- 5:56So bit a bit of different there. The role of the director changed
- 6:01hands a few times. Originally it was offered to
- 6:03Norman Jewison, who recently had directed Fiddler on the Roof and
- 6:09Jesus Christ Superstar, the movie adaptations of those right
- 6:14He wanted to cast Jack Nicholson in the lead role of Corky.
- 6:19And. Jack Nicholson, Yeah, just like
- 6:23Anthony Hopkins is such a great choice.
- 6:24But that would have been something special.
- 6:28He Jack Nicholson, said he wouldn't do it because he didn't
- 6:31want to wear a hairpiece for filming.
- 6:35So. But, you know, it is what it is.
- 6:40After him, Steven Spielberg, who had just finished his silly
- 6:43little movie about a shark or whatever, also was in line to
- 6:46direct but eventually declined, preferring to continue his work
- 6:50on close Encounters of the Third Kind.
- 6:53Spielberg said that he wanted to cast Robert De Niro in the lead.
- 6:58So after Spielberg passed on it, Richard Attenborough, who had
- 7:02just directed A Bridge Too Far, also starring Anthony Hopkins,
- 7:06was brought on to direct. Richard Attenborough, of course,
- 7:11played John Hammond in Jurassic Park.
- 7:13If you want to put a face to them, he did quite a bit of
- 7:18directing and acting and producing.
- 7:21He even wrote a score or two. He really was all over the
- 7:24place, which I had no idea. And he's not related to David
- 7:27Attenborough. No, he's not.
- 7:29Probably. Yeah, that.
- 7:30Would have been that would have been even crazier, but he
- 7:34originally wanted Gene Wilder as the pick for Corky.
- 7:38Oh my. But that would have been nuts
- 7:40too. Yeah, but at the time, I think
- 7:44what they said is that they thought that bringing on a
- 7:47comedian would be, it would detract from Corky's very
- 7:52serious personality. So.
- 7:55Right. So you don't think so?
- 7:58No, man. I think it would have been
- 7:59different it. Would have been different but I
- 8:02think Gene Wilder as Corky cause Gene Wilder can hit those like
- 8:07serious like depressing notes. And if you look at like other
- 8:12comedians, like not necessarily in that time, but later on, like
- 8:15Jim Carrey is always my go to as somebody who can do like the
- 8:19wacky, silly Ace Ventura stuff. But then it's also pulling out
- 8:24like the really intense, like psychological, the stuff like in
- 8:28Eternal Sunshine. Eternal own Robin Williams and
- 8:31what dreams may come. Yeah, Robin Williams.
- 8:33Exactly. He can go from being genie to
- 8:35like one of the most serious actors world.
- 8:38'S best dad too, right? Yep, Yep.
- 8:42But so Attenborough then cast Anthony Hopkins in the lead.
- 8:49They had just worked together. They also brought in and
- 8:52Margaret as Corky's high school crush, Peggy and Burgess
- 8:56Meredith who is like an all timer legend of the game as
- 8:59Corky's manager Ben. There's also a little role from
- 9:03Jerry Houser as the cab driver who definitely didn't sell out
- 9:06Corky's location to Ben when he asked for it.
- 9:08Yeah, what a shithead. Yeah, that's the insinuation.
- 9:14Next for the score. Jerry Goldsmith was brought in,
- 9:17and Jerry Goldsmith's work is one that you've definitely heard
- 9:20before. This is just a short list of
- 9:23movies. He did Planet of the Apes from
- 9:2519691998. Mulan, which he was part of the
- 9:29team for that. It's not a soul thing. 1980s
- 9:32Alien Star Trek Voyager in 1995, the mummy and poltergeist.
- 9:39That's all him and he's done many, many other things.
- 9:42The last thing he did, the last credit he has was in 2000 and it
- 9:47was like a Looney Tunes project that.
- 9:49Still sweet, I mean. I don't know I'd, I'd never
- 9:50heard of it, but it's it, it shows his range.
- 9:52Like there's some like some heavy hitters in there, like
- 9:56Planet of the Apes, though he did a bunch of Star Trek things.
- 10:00An alien was the one I was surprised by.
- 10:03Yeah, it's. But.
- 10:05Pushed me back a bit too. Yeah, a lot of the high praise
- 10:09that the movie got was from the score.
- 10:13He obviously is a master and he and he really crushed any
- 10:18brought a lot of he brought a lot of like clout to this movie
- 10:22despite it already having like those big actors.
- 10:26Most of it was shot at a resort in California.
- 10:30That's where you see those those cabins.
- 10:33There's not too many stories about shooting.
- 10:36It seemed like it just went off pretty normally without any
- 10:38trouble. There's some interviews with
- 10:42Attenborough and Hopkins speaking about how Fats became a
- 10:46real member of the crew and how they ended up missing him when
- 10:51the when they were done filming. Despite this, there's a story
- 10:56from Anthony Hopkins saying how uncomfortable he was with Fats
- 10:59early on. He had to spend a lot of time
- 11:02with the dummy before Filmy because he was actually learning
- 11:05ventriloquism and magic. I did hear that.
- 11:08So that's what I I almost brought up a few times just
- 11:10while we were watching the movie.
- 11:11I'm like, I think because I've seen magic when I was young.
- 11:16Yeah. And I was like, I think this we
- 11:17were Anthony Hopkins had to like learn actual or was trying to or
- 11:24something like that. But yeah, go on, please.
- 11:25This is awesome. Yeah, he.
- 11:27So he learned the card tricks, the ventriloquism.
- 11:32He learned how to throw his voice.
- 11:33When he's in the cab, you can see him rolling the quarter over
- 11:36his hand. Oh, yeah.
- 11:38I like all kinds of tricks that he learned to really fill out
- 11:42this role. The movie came out.
- 11:47The reception is a little bit mixed.
- 11:49Some of the critics were won over by the acting cause.
- 11:53Anthony Hopkins is really giving it his all in this one.
- 11:57It's a really good What if you've only really seen him as
- 12:00an older actor, this is a really good or.
- 12:02Hannibal Lecter. Yeah, or his Hannibal Lecter,
- 12:05and he's older than that. I think that was that.
- 12:07That was a while after this. 90s, Nineties.
- 12:11Yeah, that was, it was quite some time.
- 12:14It didn't receive many awards despite doing all right with
- 12:18audiences, other than an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers
- 12:22of America, but it was for the best screenplay.
- 12:25So that was an award that William Goldman had won during
- 12:32the theatrical run in starting in November, the movie grossed
- 12:37$23.8 million. That's on a $7 million budget,
- 12:43and the two leads and Margaret and Anthony Hopkins were only
- 12:49paid $300,000 each. Damn this movie steam rolled
- 12:53then. Yeah, So they crushed it and it,
- 12:57you know, in terms of shooting locations, they shoot in like a
- 13:00hotel room in New York. Yeah, that's supposed to be in
- 13:04New York, a club and a cabin. I mean, it's not.
- 13:09Yeah, not super complicated. And there's not a whole lot of
- 13:12effects. There are some.
- 13:14It came out alongside Animal House and Midnight Express, and
- 13:18it did. Yeah.
- 13:19So it did have a bit of competition.
- 13:22The rights to its distribution had changed hands a few times,
- 13:27Disney owned it for a minute, and then it got released to
- 13:30someone else, but it did eventually come out on VHS and
- 13:34DVD in 2025. Just this year, a couple months
- 13:39ago, there was a report that Sam Raimi and Roy Lee were working
- 13:43on a remake of the movie with Lionsgate, but there's no
- 13:46further information about. That Sam Raimi.
- 13:48Evil Dead. Sam Raimi.
- 13:50Oh my. Sam Raimi has like other
- 13:52projects that like we know are in the works.
- 13:55So it's unclear of his role in this, whether he would be like
- 13:59involved in its direction or if he's just a producer.
- 14:02Oh my God, the article I read on on THR was was kind of
- 14:07insinuating it's just a producer role, but still I think.
- 14:11Yeah. He's going to get his.
- 14:13He's going to get his fingers in there somehow.
- 14:17As for Fats the Dummy, in 2006 he was on display in a magic
- 14:23shop in New York City. That magic shop closed, and
- 14:27though many replicas have been built, the current location of
- 14:31the original Fats Dummy is unknown.
- 14:34Oh, I hate that. Wasbeyondthegmail.com if you
- 14:36know where he is. Yeah, let us know.
- 14:38I would love to add that to the to the to our stop list on our
- 14:43next summer. See all the places from our
- 14:46movies and we're going to find Frog Man.
- 14:48We should go. We should.
- 14:49We should do something cool next summer.
- 14:50We should we should try to line it up, see if we can find
- 14:54something cool. But yeah, that's that's sort of
- 14:59how this movie came about, how you said you had seen it before.
- 15:03I had seen magic when I was young.
- 15:06This is definitely a show that my Grant the Movie show movie
- 15:10that my grandmother had watched. I think we had it on VHS.
- 15:13It's just one of those, like, I just saw it.
- 15:16I was always like a weird little kid.
- 15:18I always loved like horror movies and like weird movies
- 15:21like this. Like, so I was like, oh, yeah,
- 15:23cool, I'll watch this. And I watched it and I was like,
- 15:27it was too slow for me. As a child, though.
- 15:29This movie is way too. It's like, oh, cool, now the
- 15:32puppet's live. But then as a kid, that's what
- 15:36you think. But like as I get older, I'm
- 15:37like, oh, he's just schizophrenic.
- 15:40Yeah. Like he's he's he's deeply sick,
- 15:43which makes me appreciate the movie 10 times more now because
- 15:46that's what it's tackling in. In my opinion.
- 15:49He's like sick. But I, I like the movie, man.
- 15:54I saw when I was younger, though, like I said, I was like,
- 15:58OK, I don't know what this means.
- 16:00I'll go, I'll go When I was younger, I went, I will go watch
- 16:03Child's play, right? I'll go watch Chucky, yeah.
- 16:09Like if I want to see a killer doll, this is not this is not
- 16:13what I'm looking for, but this is very much like I say, it's a
- 16:17like a psychological, it's more of a drama than a horror movie.
- 16:21I there's, there's, there's a bit of murdering in it, but
- 16:25it's. Pretty.
- 16:25That's not the point, though. Pretty tame.
- 16:27That's not the point. The point is like the slip into
- 16:30insanity. Yeah, see.
- 16:32OK, cool. So we're on the same page then,
- 16:34because the doll Fats is not alive.
- 16:37No, Fats is in in, in my opinion, Fats is the side of
- 16:44Corky that he is like suppressing and this, that's
- 16:48always there. Those thoughts are always there.
- 16:50And you can see during the performance where he's just
- 16:54bombing. When he starts yelling at
- 16:55everybody, that is the fast side of him getting out.
- 17:00That's what he wishes he could do.
- 17:01Fats gives him an outlet to say these things that he knows he
- 17:05can't, that Corky can't say, but Fats can because he's that
- 17:09character. And, and I think throughout the
- 17:11movie it starts to blur the line between who's in control, Is
- 17:15Fats in control or is Corky in control until the very end where
- 17:19Fats tells him I'm in control of you and is almost commanding him
- 17:25like he's the puppet now, Yes. Yeah, I mean, it's a great
- 17:29psychological piece because it really shows you like, what,
- 17:32like slipping into your own madness and your own woes will
- 17:35do to you, especially when it is ruled by.
- 17:38Like you are now defined as this, but he is now defined as
- 17:43that guy in the. And it's interesting because it
- 17:47seems like he knows that something is wrong with him,
- 17:52whereas like I feel like like he can, he can try to suppress it,
- 17:57but he knows that he can't. Like it's, it's the whole crux
- 18:02of the movie is that he is supposed to take a medical exam.
- 18:06Of course, it's like the late 70s.
- 18:09So I don't really know how thorough a medical exam would
- 18:11have been back then. And he won't take it first.
- 18:16It seems like he's saying I won't take it because what if
- 18:20they find out that something's wrong with me?
- 18:22As in like he doesn't think anything's wrong, but later like
- 18:26the more he he tries to get away from it, it's like no, he knows
- 18:31there's something wrong with him, he just doesn't want people
- 18:33to find out. He doesn't want to hear it.
- 18:35Yeah, he doesn't want to hear it.
- 18:36He doesn't. Want to be told?
- 18:37Though, Well, that's his career at that point.
- 18:40Yeah, he's like, no, he was in jeopardy.
- 18:42Yeah, he's like, I've been able to get to this point.
- 18:46Anything that's wrong with me, quote UN quote is going to ruin
- 18:50all that work. Right.
- 18:52It's almost like it can wait. We'll get back.
- 18:54To that, yeah. But like we can't because like
- 18:56he's already slipped into that side.
- 18:57But it is interesting to see whenever he's in these romantic
- 19:01phases with the the one that got away, you know, the one that he
- 19:05could never express himself to how he is able to just keep that
- 19:10side of Fats away and just be like, no, I'm quirky and I'm a
- 19:14weird guy, but hey, listen. But Fats helps him with that
- 19:17confidence too. A bit, right?
- 19:19There And I think the whole like, yeah, it's interesting
- 19:24because Fats does encourage him to be more confident with her,
- 19:29but then when he starts spending more time with her, Fats is
- 19:32clearly like threatened by that. He's jealous.
- 19:35And he's like, oh, what that like?
- 19:37There's many ways this movie could end and they do stuff to
- 19:41kind of leave it. You know, they they kind of
- 19:44leave you hanging there, not really in the sense if you don't
- 19:47know what happens, but they kind of like they mislead you a few
- 19:50times. I show you like an open-ended
- 19:52scene and then you just left to guess until they tell you in the
- 19:56next scene. But the IT it feels like if if
- 20:01Peggy hadn't had the most integrity of any person not
- 20:04wanting to leave her violently alcoholic, abusive husband.
- 20:11Because she didn't want him to think that he had failed, which
- 20:14is. An insane level together.
- 20:16Yeah, it's an insane level of empathy that she has for someone
- 20:20who is abusive to her. But I my thing is like, if she
- 20:24had left right then there was a chance that Corky would have
- 20:27just left Fats behind and it would have just been over.
- 20:31Well, if he had been able, if he had been able to get the one
- 20:36that got away it that could have been the end.
- 20:38But but he went back to fats and she did.
- 20:42She wanted to wait. And then it that's where we get
- 20:46this ultimate like breakdown where Corky is completely out of
- 20:50control. Yeah.
- 20:52And and it's it's cool too, because all of like all of the
- 20:57lead up to that is Corky having to be Corky because Fats is in
- 21:01the cabin. Yeah.
- 21:04And then it, it just it, there's a moment where you think it's
- 21:07going to stop. You're like, OK, I think he, I
- 21:09think he's kind of catching his grip and then he's in the cabin
- 21:14and it's like, oh, no, no, no. He's still like lost in his own
- 21:17mind, which sucks. He's like, oh, he almost had it
- 21:21like, but he just couldn't, he couldn't help it.
- 21:24The whole like fats don't let fats talk for 5 minutes scene is
- 21:29a great example of a scene done right.
- 21:32Because that was 5 minutes. It felt like 5 minutes at least,
- 21:36Ross. Washington, yeah, he, yeah, Ben
- 21:40the manager shows up and he's like, what the hell are you
- 21:43doing out here? And he walks in as Corgi is
- 21:47having an argument with fats. And Ben walks in.
- 21:50He's like, oh, this is, this is wrong.
- 21:53This is not good. He's like, I've seen crazy, but
- 21:56this is, this is bad. Like this is not, this is not
- 21:59going to work out. And he tries to make he's like
- 22:02Corky. If you're really in control then
- 22:04keep him quiet for 5 minutes and he like can't make it 2 minutes
- 22:08into 5 minutes without like he's like bursting at the seams.
- 22:13Yeah, it's like he's going to like physically get sick.
- 22:16He's like how much longer? He's like, we've done this for
- 22:1930 seconds and he's like 30 seconds and it's like, shit,
- 22:23dude. Yeah.
- 22:23So like the illness and like the the urge to be fats is there.
- 22:27It's it's cool, man. I love that play on the psycho
- 22:30traumas that people really carry with them and that going
- 22:35unchecked. This is the type of shit that
- 22:37happens now. This was also your first time
- 22:41seeing this movie, though it was your pick.
- 22:44So to lead into our our ratings and our score of the movie,
- 22:47Like, what did you think of this movie from like top to bottom?
- 22:50So, oh, it started out, I was kind of like, you know, a horror
- 22:54movie always has to like establish a plot.
- 22:57I really didn't know that it was going to be more of a
- 23:00psychological story, more drama than horror.
- 23:04Anything. There's, you know, there's some,
- 23:06some horror elements to it for sure.
- 23:08But I like, I feel like it dragged a lot.
- 23:12It was slow. I was kind of waiting, you know,
- 23:15waiting for stuff to like happen and for for everything to kick
- 23:20off, but that that kind of event never really came.
- 23:26It was more of like a slow burn in a slow climax until there's
- 23:30just sort of like a tipping point where there's no coming
- 23:33back from this. And it all feels like this is
- 23:36all going to fall apart eventually.
- 23:37We're just waiting for that to happen.
- 23:39And it was somewhat satisfying where I'm going to give I'm
- 23:41going to spoil the end, but in the end, Fats is going to force
- 23:47Corky to kill Peggy. And we don't see it.
- 23:50We just see Quirky come back to the cabin and he's been stabbed
- 23:56at by himself. And he at that point, he is
- 24:00like, he's completely given into it.
- 24:05And it's sort of this relief like this, this will be over.
- 24:08Like she's not going to have to suffer with me.
- 24:10And that ending, it felt very earned.
- 24:14And it felt like, yeah. Like we made it there.
- 24:17Yeah, like this guy's fight, like this is probably one of the
- 24:21better case scenarios for his ending.
- 24:24And in that in those like final moments, like Fats isn't angry
- 24:28at him. He's he's scared and he's
- 24:30nervous and he wants to be close to him.
- 24:33It is very like he's like once once they're on the other side
- 24:39and like they know that this is like going to be the end.
- 24:41He's like, I know, I know with that what we did was bad, but
- 24:44I'm still like, I don't want to like they didn't.
- 24:47He didn't want to be separated from him by anything.
- 24:51So I was really, definitely really satisfied with it.
- 24:55It just kind of dragged. So if we're doing the rating,
- 24:58I'd give it a three out of five because it was just, it was only
- 25:01an hour and like an hour and a half.
- 25:04It felt like 2 1/2 eight. Hours it goes.
- 25:06It goes on for some time. It felt like.
- 25:11I definitely think it's worth a watch if you got like trying to
- 25:14have a low key night where you want to watch something
- 25:16interesting. It's young Anthony Hopkins.
- 25:18It's always cool to see these like legendary actors doing
- 25:22something before they were huge. Definitely interesting,
- 25:27definitely worth a watch. 3 out of five goes on for too long.
- 25:31Hell yeah. I do feel like the ending is
- 25:35deserved once you've finished the movie.
- 25:37It's it's very, very good. It's non compromising.
- 25:40It's hey, this is what happens. I like that a lot.
- 25:43I'm the movie does drag on drag's on to the point where you
- 25:47really there's multiple times I'm like, OK, is this where it
- 25:50might end? Like it's like it's just going
- 25:52to resolve itself. Like, are we just going to run
- 25:54off with the girl? Or, you know, is Butch the
- 25:57Butch, right? Or no Duke, Yeah.
- 26:03Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke. Or is like Duke going to just
- 26:06kill like winner on the bottom? I'm like, OK, Duke's going to
- 26:08kill him. That's it, right?
- 26:10Revenge possibly or. Or is Corky going to kill Duke?
- 26:13Or is Corky going to come out the water?
- 26:14Right. There's a whole thing there and
- 26:17none of that happens. I'm like, OK, fine.
- 26:18And then we get to the end. What happens in the end happens.
- 26:21The only thing that really Mars the end was Peggy doing that
- 26:26thing with the stone where she was throwing her voice.
- 26:32Well, I think she was just doing a fats impression.
- 26:35Oh, because she wouldn't know that Corky's dead in the cabin
- 26:38yet. No, she doesn't know.
- 26:39Either she's like and yeah, she was like, OK.
- 26:41She was up in the house and he stabs himself in the house and
- 26:44then comes back down to not kill her.
- 26:49So she doesn't know that that any of that's happened, and the
- 26:52insinuation is that she would have found him there.
- 26:55And that she was ready to go. Duke's not coming back.
- 26:58They're good to go. Yeah.
- 27:01OK, that sucks. Yeah, No, I mean, then that
- 27:04doesn't ruin the ending. It kind of makes it better.
- 27:06It's like a really set no one wins.
- 27:09It it really is kind of like tragic.
- 27:11Yeah, no one wins. It's not, you know, it's not our
- 27:15it's not like our other picks where it's been like a silly
- 27:18thing or a horror movie type of thing.
- 27:20This is this is just really like it's just really exploring that
- 27:25that crisis, that identity problem.
- 27:30But would you going to rate it? I'm going to give it a three,
- 27:33given the cool nature behind the film.
- 27:37I think overall it's a good movie.
- 27:39I think it's a movie that everyone's going to like at all.
- 27:41This is not for everybody. If you're not wanting to watch
- 27:45something really slow paced with a giant lead up to an ending
- 27:49that is in my opinion, satisfactory and awesome, other
- 27:53people are going to see that and go.
- 27:54That's bullshit. Yeah, and a lot of the critics
- 27:58were let down by the ending. Yeah, people are going to see
- 28:01that and go this, that's bullshit.
- 28:02He's just dead. OK, But like, it's good, man.
- 28:07It's, it's fine. It's not fun to watch that.
- 28:10That's the thing. It is not.
- 28:12There's some good funny moments, but it's not a fun film.
- 28:15It's a good film. It's not a fun film.
- 28:19That's yeah, I'm going to go to three.
- 28:20It drags on, but when it hits those high notes, it really hits
- 28:24those high notes. And unfortunately, when it hits
- 28:26those low dips, it hits those low dips.
- 28:29No movies. Perfect.
- 28:30This one is definitely an interesting one.
- 28:33I think. Yeah yeah.
- 28:35Definitely worth a watch. 3 out of five.
- 28:38There you go. For being just middle of the
- 28:40road. It's just it just hits that
- 28:44mark. It's it's definitely
- 28:46recommendable, but it is like recommended asterisks.
- 28:50It is slow and kind of like just going on but.
- 28:54It just, it just, it has its own story to tell.
- 28:56If you have somebody around who wants to like talk about it
- 28:59after, there's really a lot of themes and a lot of stuff that's
- 29:03makes for good conversation about this.
- 29:05And that's that's what it's all about.
- 29:07I know, right? That's otherwise I'd be saying
- 29:09this to the dog and she doesn't really.
- 29:12She's not having a conversation. Penny's like it's time to like,
- 29:14do something, Pops her brother and Noah.
