- 0:18Speaker 2: will get worse under labor. Hundreds of illegal migrants have
- 0:22Speaker 2: been arrested in the US as Donald Trump's immigration crackdown
- 0:26Speaker 2: comes into effect.

- 0:55Speaker 4: Keep one Phaeton because you just have to. Hal's eaten
- 1:00Speaker 4: hell reason always.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Joddy me Now is Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave. Gary,
- 1:06Speaker 2: great to catch up with you. Thanks so much for
- 1:08Speaker 2: Jody v on the show. Look, let's start with this
- 1:11Speaker 2: latest polling. Australians have swung more support behind the Opposition
- 1:15Speaker 2: leader Peter Dutton in a warning sign for the Prime minister.
- 1:18Speaker 2: This Resolve poll, published in nine newspapers, shows that fifty
- 1:22Speaker 2: percent of voters expect inflation to get worse in the
- 1:26Speaker 2: near future.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Now if we go through it.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Dutton has gained a significant lead over Albanezi as preferred
- 1:32Speaker 2: Prime Minister thirty nine to thirty four percent in the
- 1:35Speaker 2: primary vote. Labor held steady at twenty seven percent over
- 1:39Speaker 2: the past month. The Coalition also steady at thirty eight percent,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and the Coalition kept its lead over Labor two Party
- 1:45Speaker 2: preferred fifty one to forty nine.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Gary.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Look, we're seeing a trend now with the polling.
- 1:51Speaker 2: What do you think that Peter Dutton needs to do
- 1:53Speaker 2: to keep this momentum going to really get the Coalition
- 1:57Speaker 2: over the line at the next election.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Well, it's just going to stay upright and stay focused
- 2:03Speaker 6: because this is not about Peter Dunton winning the election.
- 2:06Speaker 6: This is about Australia winning again, winning back Australia.
- 2:09Speaker 7: You know, the.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Promise of Australia has not been delivered to so many Australians.
- 2:14Speaker 6: Young and those who've migrated here are all wondering what's
- 2:18Speaker 6: happened to the Australia we thought we were coming to
- 2:20Speaker 6: be part of. I mean, Peter Dunton has got to actually,
- 2:24Speaker 6: i think, be strong in his resolve to think about
- 2:28Speaker 6: the long term and the medium term, not just the
- 2:30Speaker 6: short term thing.
- 2:31Speaker 7: So it shouldn't just be about winning an election.
- 2:34Speaker 6: It should be about winning Australia, you know, having Australia win.
- 2:38Speaker 6: And there's a lot of messaging out of Donald Trump's
- 2:40Speaker 6: approach where Donald Trump has been very straightforward about stuff
- 2:44Speaker 6: and some people you know, have had a problem with it.
- 2:47Speaker 6: And the more the left's heads kind of metaphorically explode
- 2:51Speaker 6: about Donald Trump, the more you know he's right. And
- 2:54Speaker 6: to get that kind of common sense narrative back it
- 2:57Speaker 6: is so critically important. But I've been saying for years, Denika,
- 3:02Speaker 6: on this program, on so many other programs on radio,
- 3:05Speaker 6: the whole lot, that you can actually see whether a
- 3:07Speaker 6: government trusts the people or not. If government over taxes,
- 3:11Speaker 6: over regulates, and over legislates.
- 3:13Speaker 7: Then you know it doesn't trust you.
- 3:15Speaker 6: And that's what we've got and I think Australians have
- 3:17Speaker 6: fed up to the back teeth with that approach. And
- 3:20Speaker 6: Elbow's in a world of heard and people say yippie,
- 3:23Speaker 6: you know, I mean, they really don't wish him well
- 3:26Speaker 6: at all. The trouble is this guy could get really
- 3:28Speaker 6: crazy over the next couple of months. Hears our Joe Biden,
- 3:31Speaker 6: and heaven knows what sort of stuff he might try
- 3:34Speaker 6: and do between.
- 3:35Speaker 7: Now and the election.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Who actually ruin the work that Peter Dutton is going
- 3:39Speaker 6: to have to do to restore the kind of Australian
- 3:41Speaker 6: promise I think a lot of us want to have.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Absolutely Well, that's what Donald Trump's doing over there, America First, and.
- 3:48Speaker 3: That's what we need here.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And in fact, there's been a number of Coalition MPs
- 3:51Speaker 2: who are pushing for this bolder Australia First policy in
- 3:56Speaker 2: the wake of that victory. In fact, Peter Dutton is
- 3:58Speaker 2: reportedly preparing to roll out proposals on home ownership, using gas,
- 4:03Speaker 2: to lower energy bills and broader economic plans. And we
- 4:05Speaker 2: know that Trump has pledged to slash taxes, regulation, climate
- 4:10Speaker 2: change targets.
- 4:11Speaker 3: He's going quite bold.
- 4:12Speaker 2: So Gary, do you think that Dunton needs to really
- 4:15Speaker 2: go bigger and bolder That now is not the time
- 4:18Speaker 2: to be wasting.
- 4:20Speaker 7: Look, I've had.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Of you for years Doniger, and I've said it to
- 4:23Speaker 6: Peter Dutton, have known for thirty odd years exactly this
- 4:27Speaker 6: that I think it's like those old sort of European tours.
- 4:29Speaker 6: You know, follow me, follow me, here's my flag. You know,
- 4:32Speaker 6: people want Dunton to lead them over the hill and
- 4:35Speaker 6: to the next horizon, and so he should not be timid.
- 4:39Speaker 7: Now there are going to be people on his team.
- 4:41Speaker 7: So I just shut up. Let the government lose.
- 4:43Speaker 6: I don't think it's good enough to just have you know,
- 4:45Speaker 6: governments lose, oppositions don't win being the narrative over the
- 4:49Speaker 6: next couple of months, I think Peter Dutton has to
- 4:51Speaker 6: outline a vision. I don't believe that younger people, people
- 4:55Speaker 6: of your age and younger should be having their superannuation
- 4:59Speaker 6: locked up, not being able to access that kind of
- 5:02Speaker 6: money as even counting as a resource as an asset
- 5:06Speaker 6: for say buying a home. I think we should be
- 5:08Speaker 6: able to say, you know what, the promise of Australia
- 5:12Speaker 6: includes things like home ownership. It is the absolute great
- 5:15Speaker 6: way in which most people feel a sense of connection
- 5:19Speaker 6: to the economic wellbeing of the country. And we're not
- 5:22Speaker 6: hearing that language out of this Prime Minister who just
- 5:24Speaker 6: wants to follow the same old, tired, broken international, frankly
- 5:29Speaker 6: communist backed woke agenda about everything from climate change and
- 5:34Speaker 6: we've got to go ev this, where's the electricity coming from?
- 5:38Speaker 6: We need cheap power, we need lots of it and
- 5:40Speaker 6: cheap power. But almost got no plans if the wind
- 5:44Speaker 6: doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine and the electricity
- 5:46Speaker 6: goes off. And Queensland's having a pretty hot couple of days,
- 5:50Speaker 6: and already we've got state government departments being told switch
- 5:54Speaker 6: off the air con, don't use the elevator as much,
- 5:56Speaker 6: turn the computer off because the grid might collapse.
- 5:59Speaker 7: That's Queensland.
- 6:00Speaker 6: That's on top of Victoria, that's on top of New
- 6:02Speaker 6: South Wales, on South Australia.
- 6:05Speaker 7: That's not how you.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Actually build a better, more confident country. So Dunton has
- 6:09Speaker 6: to go bold.
- 6:10Speaker 7: Nuclear is just the start. Go stronger. Peter Dutton.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I agree.
- 6:14Speaker 2: We're going broken backwards under labor Gary, that's for sure.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Now, look, let's pivot to Australia Day.
- 6:19Speaker 2: A major pub group who was forced to apologize about
- 6:23Speaker 2: a controversial Australia Day celebration ban is still refusing to
- 6:27Speaker 2: acknowledge the national Day instead encouraging Ozzie's to simply celebrate
- 6:31Speaker 2: the long weekend. Now, despite blatantly omitting January twenty six
- 6:35Speaker 2: as a public holiday in any of its promotional material,
- 6:38Speaker 2: venues owned by hospitality giant Australian Venue Co are choosing
- 6:42Speaker 2: to celebrate.
- 6:43Speaker 3: National Is on your Day, Valentine's Day and the super Bowl.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Go figure, Gary.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Now this is the same venue who backflipped twenty four
- 6:51Speaker 2: hours after its Australia Day celebration ban. But now it's
- 6:55Speaker 2: snubbing our National Day. Is it time to boycott venues
- 6:59Speaker 2: like this?
- 7:01Speaker 6: Well, I think we've got to be deliberate in the
- 7:03Speaker 6: way we spend our money. I had a personal twelve
- 7:06Speaker 6: month moratorium on spending money at Woolworth's where my first
- 7:09Speaker 6: job as a young cared was packing groceries at woolworth
- 7:12Speaker 6: So I really felt sad about that. But you know
- 7:16Speaker 6: I didn't spend any money in Wilworths for twelve months.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Now I just have come from a Woolworths store earlier
- 7:21Speaker 6: this evening and the flags are up. So Woolworths learned
- 7:25Speaker 6: the lesson from a year ago. I think Australian Venue
- 7:28Speaker 6: Company needs to learn the lesson as well. I'm sorry
- 7:30Speaker 6: for the white staff and the people working in the hotels,
- 7:33Speaker 6: and by the way, it's not their fault, it's some
- 7:35Speaker 6: idiot in a Melbourne based office, by the way, and
- 7:38Speaker 6: Melbourne has this kind of we're not really part of
- 7:41Speaker 6: Australia thing that goes through it's corporate and government world
- 7:44Speaker 6: in Victoria. I'm sorry to your viewers in Melbourne, but
- 7:47Speaker 6: it's just a reality. And Australia Day is a day
- 7:51Speaker 6: which is important to those who have migrated here in
- 7:53Speaker 6: their lifetime, become citizens by choice in their lifetime. It
- 7:57Speaker 6: is a day that brings us together national is only
- 7:59Speaker 6: your day? Sounds fair, fantastic. Oh but say this Australia Day.
- 8:03Speaker 7: You know, why aren't we doing it? I don't get it.
- 8:05Speaker 2: No, I completely agree with you, Gary, and go woke,
- 8:08Speaker 2: go broke.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So look what happened to Woolley and look speaking of this,
- 8:13Speaker 3: this is extraordinary.
- 8:14Speaker 2: The handing out of a double sided Australian and Aboriginal
- 8:17Speaker 2: flag and citizenship ceremonies on the Gold Coast has actually
- 8:20Speaker 2: been axed by that council after complaints from residents.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Who would have thought.
- 8:25Speaker 2: You know, Gary, firstly, I'm shocked that there is even
- 8:28Speaker 2: a double sided flag common sense.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Fine, they've banned it, but the fact that they were handing.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Out these flags in the first place just irritates me.
- 8:37Speaker 3: We are one country, are we not?
- 8:41Speaker 6: Denika. Here is your headline. There is a flag for
- 8:43Speaker 6: Aboriginal Australians. It's called the Australian National Flag. You can
- 8:48Speaker 6: fly whatever flag you like. If you live along the
- 8:50Speaker 6: Murray River, you might like that Murray River flag.
- 8:53Speaker 7: It's got a lot of tradition.
- 8:55Speaker 6: But the one flag which unites this all no matter
- 8:58Speaker 6: where you are around the world. You know, we are
- 9:00Speaker 6: a country like any country that we all recognize our
- 9:05Speaker 6: flag when we see it. We actually allow part of
- 9:07Speaker 6: our flag to be used by another country as their
- 9:10Speaker 6: entire flag.
- 9:10Speaker 7: The UK used as part of our flags their flag.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I mean, seriously, this is a flag for all Australians.
- 9:17Speaker 6: I've gone to citizenship ceremonies. I was once the Citizenship Minister,
- 9:22Speaker 6: the first ever federal citizenship minister, and I've watched African
- 9:26Speaker 6: refugees kiss our flag. They love the fact they could
- 9:30Speaker 6: be part of Australia. Why is it this cultural cringe
- 9:33Speaker 6: and this PC black armed view of our history has
- 9:37Speaker 6: to dictate terms on this.
- 9:38Speaker 7: They've got it wrong.
- 9:40Speaker 6: The Australian flag is about unity. Australian Day is about unity,
- 9:44Speaker 6: citizenship is about unity. And the gold Cast Council rightly
- 9:48Speaker 6: have reversed this stupid idea.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Oh look, totally ridiculous. You know, in the end, we
- 9:54Speaker 2: should be proud to be Australians. It's not racist to
- 9:57Speaker 2: be proud to be an Australian. You're not a bigot
- 9:59Speaker 2: for loving this. We've got to show that pride. I
- 10:03Speaker 2: look forward to doing that on Australia Day. Gary Hardgrave,
- 10:06Speaker 2: nice to catch up. Thanks very much for joining me
- 10:08Speaker 2: on the show this evening. Joining me now is one
- 10:11Speaker 2: of the finest thinkers of his generation, the author of
- 10:14Speaker 2: international best sellers including The Madness of Crowds, The Strange
- 10:18Speaker 2: Death of Europe, and The War on the West. Douglas
- 10:21Speaker 2: Murray Douglas, great to be with you. Thank you so
- 10:24Speaker 2: much for joining me on the show this evening. I
- 10:26Speaker 2: want to start with Donald Trump's inauguration. You were over
- 10:30Speaker 2: in Washington, DC. What was it like to be there
- 10:33Speaker 2: during this historic moment in time?
- 10:37Speaker 8: Well, it was, as you say, historic, It was extraordinary
- 10:40Speaker 8: to see the president's inauguration, the excitement in Washington, the
- 10:47Speaker 8: extraordinary cast of characters who are around in the city
- 10:50Speaker 8: to see it, and yes, it really did feel like
- 10:54Speaker 8: a new dawn in the US. It was an astonishing
- 10:58Speaker 8: speech apart from anything else that Trump gave much more.
- 11:02Speaker 8: It's interesting to compare it to the first inauguration speech, which,
- 11:07Speaker 8: if you remember in twenty seventeen, was outside on that occasion,
- 11:11Speaker 8: but was pretty angry in tone. In many ways, it was,
- 11:17Speaker 8: of course, a very divisive time in America.
- 11:20Speaker 1: This felt very different.
- 11:23Speaker 8: It felt like a much more magnanimous Trump.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It felt like.
- 11:29Speaker 8: A Trump who was on top of all of the
- 11:31Speaker 8: things you wanted to do, who had fought through a
- 11:35Speaker 8: whole set of policies in the last eight years and more,
- 11:39Speaker 8: and knew how to enact them. I thought that it
- 11:42Speaker 8: was also it was just in general, a sort of
- 11:44Speaker 8: positive new Dawn like speech. And maybe that's for many reasons,
- 11:49Speaker 8: but one of which is of course, the fact that
- 11:51Speaker 8: this was such an extraordinary landslide of a victory for him,
- 11:54Speaker 8: you know, the Republicans winning the popular vote for the
- 11:57Speaker 8: first time in decades, and much more.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You could feel the president felt.
- 12:01Speaker 8: The mandate that he had and the opportunity, the historic
- 12:05Speaker 8: opportunity that he now has. And yes, an amazing time.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Oh look, absolutely, and I think it's given a real
- 12:13Speaker 2: sense of optimism for the first time in many years.
- 12:16Speaker 2: And I felt like that was definitely conveyed during his
- 12:20Speaker 2: speech as well. Now we need to talk about this
- 12:23Speaker 2: woke bishop who went on a wild activist rant during
- 12:27Speaker 2: a church service for Donald Trump. Here's a reminder of
- 12:30Speaker 2: what happened, and I think that JD. Vance's face really
- 12:33Speaker 2: says it all.
- 12:34Speaker 9: I ask you to have mercy upon the people in
- 12:38Speaker 9: our country. We're scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and
- 12:46Speaker 9: transgender children in Democratic Republican and independent families, some who
- 12:54Speaker 9: fear for their lives.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Now, this bishop, Marianne Edgar Bood has now gone on
- 12:59Speaker 2: a pre tour of America. Here she is on the
- 13:02Speaker 2: view who are unsurprisingly gushing over her.
- 13:06Speaker 10: You seem to have more fearlessness than anyone in Congress
- 13:08Speaker 10: right now, maw you were so gentle, you were so respectful,
- 13:11Speaker 10: you were very demure and very mindful.
- 13:14Speaker 9: A lot of people, as I said, in our country
- 13:16Speaker 9: right now, are really scared. I wanted to take the
- 13:19Speaker 9: opportunity in the context of that of service for unity
- 13:25Speaker 9: to say we need to treat everyone with dignity and
- 13:30Speaker 9: we need to be merciful. I was trying to counter
- 13:35Speaker 9: the narrative that is so divisive and polarizing.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Douglas.
- 13:40Speaker 2: She's out there now talking about mercy and understanding, yet
- 13:43Speaker 2: couldn't wait to do all these press interviews. What do
- 13:46Speaker 2: you make of what she did at that service and
- 13:48Speaker 2: how she's gone about it since?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Well?
- 13:51Speaker 8: I thought it was completely disgraceful and the great example
- 13:55Speaker 8: of where the Episcopalian church has gone in recent years.
- 14:00Speaker 1: There was nothing really about God in this.
- 14:02Speaker 8: I mean, you would have thought that she'd have taken
- 14:04Speaker 8: the opportunity to talk about God in some way.
- 14:06Speaker 1: She didn't.
- 14:07Speaker 8: She just had a set of boring Democrats, left wing
- 14:09Speaker 8: talking points. First of all, by the woman, the obscenity
- 14:13Speaker 8: of talking about trans children. There's no such thing as
- 14:15Speaker 8: a trans child. No child is just born in the
- 14:19Speaker 8: wrong body. And if people are fearful, as she said,
- 14:26Speaker 8: which I'm really not sure they are, but if they
- 14:29Speaker 8: were fearful, then it's because of people like this barmie
- 14:33Speaker 8: bishop who go around claiming that Donald Trump is going
- 14:39Speaker 8: to come and kill their trans.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Children or whatever.
- 14:43Speaker 8: I mean, you know, people have to be indoctrinated into
- 14:45Speaker 8: that kind of fear, and people like her have perhaps
- 14:49Speaker 8: managed to do that to some of there would be flop.
- 14:52Speaker 8: It's just one of those occasions though, when you know,
- 14:56Speaker 8: you remember what has gone wrong where a large segment
- 15:01Speaker 8: of the church. It's not just the Episcopalian church. But
- 15:05Speaker 8: you know, this is a moment and it doesn't happen
- 15:08Speaker 8: that often in America any more than Australia or Britain.
- 15:11Speaker 8: This is a moment for the church to shine, you know,
- 15:14Speaker 8: and actually to talk about God, to talk about Jesus,
- 15:18Speaker 8: talk about the Christian.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Faith for instance.
- 15:20Speaker 8: This would seem like prime time to do that. But
- 15:23Speaker 8: only a banal bishop like this thinks that instead of
- 15:28Speaker 8: talking about God they should do their boring talking points,
- 15:32Speaker 8: which if anyone wants to see they can get on
- 15:34Speaker 8: the view any day. It's just a real disgrace that
- 15:41Speaker 8: somebody like her is in that position, and as I say,
- 15:45Speaker 8: a demonstration of the church is failing, that they would
- 15:49Speaker 8: have just this third rate political hack when they could
- 15:54Speaker 8: have had somebody who was talking about God and representing
- 15:58Speaker 8: God on earth.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I can think of no one further away.
- 16:01Speaker 8: From that position than her, and she or sure she'll
- 16:05Speaker 8: enjoy her two or three days of being lauded for
- 16:09Speaker 8: her incredible bravery. And after that, I hope she disappears
- 16:14Speaker 8: into the oblivion from which she came.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Oh look, don't we all that would be great?
- 16:19Speaker 2: And Donald Trump overnight's also demanded a public apology. He's
- 16:23Speaker 2: posted to truth Social saying the so called bishop who
- 16:27Speaker 2: spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was
- 16:29Speaker 2: a radical left, hardline Trump hater. She brought her church
- 16:33Speaker 2: into the world of politics in a very ungracious way. Douglas,
- 16:37Speaker 2: You know, Trump is right here. What business did she have?
- 16:40Speaker 2: And and it goes to what you alluded to before turning
- 16:43Speaker 2: what was meant to be a great church service into
- 16:47Speaker 2: a political one.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It's so strange.
- 16:50Speaker 8: I mean, and you know, just to demonstrate that there
- 16:53Speaker 8: should be such a thing as consistency. I wouldn't have
- 16:56Speaker 8: wanted to hear a sermon from a very right twing
- 17:00Speaker 8: bishop explaining how tough we should be on illegal migrants either.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I mean, she said we've got.
- 17:08Speaker 8: To have mercy on illegal migrants and how scared they are,
- 17:12Speaker 8: and I mean that's just ridiculous.
- 17:14Speaker 1: I mean, you can just do that forever.
- 17:17Speaker 8: But the counterpart is you could just talk about all
- 17:20Speaker 8: the crimes that some illegal migrants have committed. But again,
- 17:25Speaker 8: who wants to hear that from a pulpit. You can
- 17:28Speaker 8: hear that in some of the news if you want.
- 17:31Speaker 8: You can hear it on it. You can see it
- 17:33Speaker 8: on x you can see it on YouTube, you can
- 17:35Speaker 8: see it in the newspapers. You can read the New
- 17:38Speaker 8: York Post, and you can read the crimes that have
- 17:40Speaker 8: been committed by illegal migrants. But once you step into church,
- 17:45Speaker 8: you would hope that you would get something other than
- 17:48Speaker 8: the day's news, and something about the eternal and the
- 17:52Speaker 8: divine and the sublime, and so, you know, just the
- 17:56Speaker 8: heart sinks. One of the things I've said for years
- 18:00Speaker 8: is that the response to the mad left wing infiltration
- 18:06Speaker 8: of almost every institution in our societies should not be
- 18:10Speaker 8: countered actually by the right wing infiltration of the churches
- 18:15Speaker 8: or music.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Or anything else.
- 18:17Speaker 8: It should be the depoliticization of the non political world.
- 18:23Speaker 8: You know, there are ever few there have been in
- 18:26Speaker 8: recent years, ever fewer spaces to use one of the
- 18:29Speaker 8: left's favorite phrases, Ever fewer spaces in which you can
- 18:34Speaker 8: actually escape from politics. Because the left has pushed politics
- 18:40Speaker 8: into everything. I hope that this is just another reminder
- 18:44Speaker 8: to conservatives and liberals and others alike, we need spaces
- 18:49Speaker 8: that are not politicized, where you're not going to get
- 18:52Speaker 8: a sermon literally in the church and non literally anywhere
- 18:57Speaker 8: else where. We can just focus on other.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Things as well.
- 19:02Speaker 8: And as I say, I mean that should really be
- 19:05Speaker 8: the conservative response, say strip the politics out.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Absolutely, And this is exactly why Donald Trump's been elected
- 19:13Speaker 2: because people are sick of this absolute nonsense. Now you
- 19:17Speaker 2: mentioned illegal migrants there, and it started already. More than
- 19:20Speaker 2: three hundred illegal migrants have been arrested by ICE during
- 19:24Speaker 2: raids in and around sanctuary cities across the US. This
- 19:28Speaker 2: includes sex offenders and other violent criminals. Douglas, this is
- 19:32Speaker 2: just the beginning of what clearly is a massive task
- 19:35Speaker 2: ahead for Ice and borders our Tom Homan. But how
- 19:38Speaker 2: good is it to see law and order slowly and
- 19:41Speaker 2: finally being restored.
- 19:44Speaker 8: Well, as I've said for many years, if you don't
- 19:47Speaker 8: have a border, you don't really have a country, or
- 19:50Speaker 8: at least you won't have a country very soon. The
- 19:54Speaker 8: way in which illegal migration has been encouraged in recent years,
- 20:01Speaker 8: not just in America, but of course in Britain, Europe
- 20:04Speaker 8: and elsewhere has been really shocking. It has undermined the
- 20:08Speaker 8: fabric of these societies, and it rewards the illegality. At
- 20:14Speaker 8: the first point, many people like that Barmie Bishop will
- 20:19Speaker 8: have will be thinking about, you know, these people saying
- 20:22Speaker 8: they're not all or not all these illegal migrants and criminals.
- 20:25Speaker 8: That's true with the fact that obviously not all of
- 20:29Speaker 8: them have raped and murdered people since entering the US illegally,
- 20:32Speaker 8: but all of them have broken the law by entering
- 20:35Speaker 8: the US illegally. And meantime, by the way, you know,
- 20:39Speaker 8: this is another of those great things that undermines one
- 20:41Speaker 8: of the central fabrics of a society is you know,
- 20:44Speaker 8: legal migration is hard. Getting asylum actually for legitimate reasons
- 20:51Speaker 8: is hard. And the fact that at the same time
- 20:54Speaker 8: as that reality exists, you just have this other world
- 20:59Speaker 8: where any one who just breaks the law is allowed
- 21:02Speaker 8: to do so is just something that has massively undermined
- 21:06Speaker 8: the United States of America as with other developed democracies.
- 21:10Speaker 8: It is a huge task ahead for the Trump administration,
- 21:13Speaker 8: there's no doubt about that, and they are going to
- 21:15Speaker 8: be fought against by Democrat governments in sanctuary cities, Democrat
- 21:20Speaker 8: authorities in sanctuary cities like New York and like the
- 21:26Speaker 8: cities in California, and we'll we'll just see what happens.
- 21:31Speaker 8: But I think that one very important thing about this
- 21:34Speaker 8: is it's not just that America and the American voters
- 21:37Speaker 8: who voted in Donald Trump are watching. I think the
- 21:40Speaker 8: world is watching because countries like Italy, Spain, France and
- 21:47Speaker 8: others that have millions of illegal migrants in their countries
- 21:51Speaker 8: that they have totally failed to deport. Britain is another example,
- 21:56Speaker 8: more than a million illegal migrants in the UK, totally
- 21:59Speaker 8: total failure of the government, total failure of the state
- 22:02Speaker 8: to enforce the border laws. If Donald Trump can do
- 22:06Speaker 8: this in America, then maybe there's a blueprint for other
- 22:09Speaker 8: countries saying, you know, we are fair minded countries, we're
- 22:13Speaker 8: good countries, which is why so many people want to
- 22:16Speaker 8: come to the developed world. There must be something we're
- 22:18Speaker 8: doing right. But we're mad if we think we can
- 22:22Speaker 8: just have open borders and anyone in the world can
- 22:25Speaker 8: walk in. So the American voters will be watching Trump.
- 22:28Speaker 8: But my prediction is that governments across Europe and elsewhere
- 22:31Speaker 8: will also be watching very carefully and hoping that he
- 22:34Speaker 8: succeeds and that they can.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Follow absolutely and hopefully he sets that standard. Now I
- 22:40Speaker 2: want to ask you about the cease fire deal between
- 22:43Speaker 2: Israel and Tamas. We're already seeing the first of some
- 22:46Speaker 2: of the hostages being released. But Douglas, you know, in
- 22:49Speaker 2: your view, will this really ever truly end this war.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Well, it's very early to say. My expectation is no.
- 23:02Speaker 8: I'm extremely pleased for the hostage families whose daughters were released.
- 23:07Speaker 8: Three girls women were released. Of course, at the weekend.
- 23:12Speaker 8: There has been an awful lot of praise of countries
- 23:17Speaker 8: like Katar in particular, for helping to affect this release.
- 23:23Speaker 8: There are still many scores of hostages in Gaza, an
- 23:28Speaker 8: international array of hostages in Gaza who were stolen, kidnapped
- 23:35Speaker 8: from their loved ones on October the seventh, and Hamas,
- 23:39Speaker 8: in its unbelievable necrophilic style, is also holding onto the
- 23:44Speaker 8: bodies of murdered hostages, and the Israeli negotiators having to
- 23:49Speaker 8: deal with talking about how to get dead bodies back
- 23:52Speaker 8: from Hamas's clutches, as well as hopefully as many living
- 23:56Speaker 8: hostages as possible. I think there are just two things
- 23:59Speaker 8: quickly I would say about this. The first is that
- 24:02Speaker 8: whether or not the war ends really relies on Hamaz
- 24:06Speaker 8: could have stopped this war, and indeed it could have
- 24:10Speaker 8: not started it, and that would have been a good idea,
- 24:13Speaker 8: wouldn't it. But there's one other corner which does have
- 24:16Speaker 8: to be highlighted, which is the role of Kata. Kata
- 24:20Speaker 8: is one of the thunders and hosts of Hamaz, and
- 24:25Speaker 8: it is galling to some of us to watch the
- 24:28Speaker 8: praise being dished out to Katar and the Emir at
- 24:33Speaker 8: the moment. My view, rather perhaps old fashioned, a niche
- 24:38Speaker 8: one at the moment is that if you try to
- 24:41Speaker 8: burn down your neighbour's house, then if you provide a
- 24:45Speaker 8: fire extinguisher fifteen months later, you shouldn't be enormously over
- 24:51Speaker 8: praised for your actions. And that's the situation that Katar
- 24:55Speaker 8: is in. They should be made to give all of
- 24:59Speaker 8: the hostel back. None of the hostages should have been
- 25:03Speaker 8: in guars in the first place. They were stolen and
- 25:06Speaker 8: it's high time that all of them were given back,
- 25:09Speaker 8: and I hope the Trump administration will make it clear
- 25:11Speaker 8: that that is its priority. So far, they've been very
- 25:14Speaker 8: strong on that, but it requires regional partners to do
- 25:18Speaker 8: their bit and not to play this double dealing game
- 25:21Speaker 8: that countries like Katar have.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely spot on as always, Douglas Murray.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Really good to speak with you. Thank you so much
- 25:28Speaker 3: for joining me on the show this evening.
- 25:31Speaker 1: It's a great pleasure as always. Thank you.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Still to come. Lefties losing it? Plus, the Trump administration
- 25:36Speaker 2: adopts a one flag policy at embassies. Army Horowitz joins
- 25:40Speaker 2: us with the latest from the US. Now it's time
- 25:52Speaker 2: for lefties losing it. Do you ever have a bad
- 25:55Speaker 2: day and forget people's pronouns, because that's exactly what happened
- 26:00Speaker 2: to this teacher.
- 26:02Speaker 3: So I had a kid on Monday. They said their
- 26:05Speaker 3: pronouns were she her.
- 26:07Speaker 11: Then on Wednesday, yesterday, they came to me and they said,
- 26:11Speaker 11: you know what my pronouns are?
- 26:13Speaker 3: They them, I want you in the glass Tuesday them. Okay, cool.
- 26:17Speaker 12: Great.
- 26:18Speaker 9: They come to class today, there's names on desks.
- 26:22Speaker 3: In groups for as science seats.
- 26:24Speaker 12: They can't find theirs because I guess my first class
- 26:27Speaker 12: match it off.
- 26:28Speaker 11: So I go to the class.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Hey is she in anyone's group? Does anyone see her name.
- 26:36Speaker 3: It took me five minutes to realize that I did.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Oh whoop see, And it took you five minutes to
- 26:45Speaker 2: realize just it's not good enough. It's really not good enough.
- 26:49Speaker 2: And what do you do when you make such a
- 26:50Speaker 2: grave era of judgment?
- 26:52Speaker 3: What I did?
- 26:53Speaker 7: When they were sitting by themselves.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I approached them and said I screwed up, didn't I?
- 27:00Speaker 3: And they said, yep, jay, how can you live with yourself?
- 27:04Speaker 3: With all that disappointment?
- 27:06Speaker 2: Now to the Britney Spears level breakdowns over Trump's executive
- 27:10Speaker 2: order on genders.
- 27:12Speaker 11: Our new president has declared on day one of his
- 27:14Speaker 11: presidency that our country will no longer recognize any gender
- 27:18Speaker 11: aside from male or female. As a non binary person
- 27:21Speaker 11: who lives in the United States of America, I'm a
- 27:23Speaker 11: New Yorker. I live in New York. I'm not going anywhere.
- 27:26Speaker 11: I love the city. Uh all right, okay, So if
- 27:30Speaker 11: I'm no longer a human legally speaking, of course, I
- 27:34Speaker 11: might as well have fun. So how am I spending
- 27:36Speaker 11: my day this inauguration day? I Am going to go
- 27:40Speaker 11: commiserate with my fellow queer people at my favorite lesbian bar.
- 27:44Speaker 11: Ready for the.
- 27:45Speaker 7: Circus, Roll up, roll up?
- 27:48Speaker 3: Is that circus recruiting.
- 27:50Speaker 4: And as long as you draw breath, every breath you
- 27:53Speaker 4: take is a rebellion. Keep on fighting because you just
- 27:58Speaker 4: have to hail Satan hall reason.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Always love that, absolutely love it.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And can someone please check on this next person who
- 28:07Speaker 2: is apparently coming to save America.
- 28:09Speaker 5: Something is known me off.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Maybe you're thinking too much, lugging out at the noise, DNA.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Then give me the rush.
- 28:17Speaker 12: Remember what I was doing.
- 28:19Speaker 3: I'm never double to come. Here's the side of my wage.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Here's the cover of my wave.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I've got a theory that maybe they might
- 28:29Speaker 2: need some saving. And you know, I know just the
- 28:32Speaker 2: woman actually funnily enough for that job. Here she is
- 28:36Speaker 2: the woke Bishop of America herself, ah, in all her glory,
- 28:41Speaker 2: she'll do it with those eyes, especially save the dying
- 28:45Speaker 2: gender crusade. And speaking of that bewildering bishop, it looks
- 28:50Speaker 2: like she's found her loyal disciples in none other than
- 28:53Speaker 2: the American liberal media.
- 28:55Speaker 13: Your turne there so serious and genuine. You see him,
- 28:59Speaker 13: he's still face. He then looks down, but he's listening
- 29:02Speaker 13: to every word you say. As you made that personal
- 29:05Speaker 13: plea to him. What were you looking at him in
- 29:10Speaker 13: that moment? What kind of response were you perhaps hoping
- 29:14Speaker 13: for in that moment? Because it was gentle. I mean
- 29:17Speaker 13: it was. It was intense and passionate, but yet.
- 29:19Speaker 3: It was gentle.
- 29:20Speaker 13: It was not ugly or confrontational. It wouldn't expect it
- 29:24Speaker 13: to be. But you know, these are hard things to
- 29:26Speaker 13: talk about in that context. Particularly, you seem to strike
- 29:31Speaker 13: a nerve.
- 29:31Speaker 10: You seem to have more fearlessness than anyone in Congress
- 29:34Speaker 10: right now. Man, you know, Bishop, I was struck by
- 29:36Speaker 10: your tone. You were so gentle, you were so respectful,
- 29:39Speaker 10: You were very demure and very mindful.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Well, look, if the view ever need an exoricism, then
- 29:44Speaker 2: they certainly no whey to go?
- 29:46Speaker 3: Now?
- 29:47Speaker 2: How to look at this delicious demolition of a puffed
- 29:50Speaker 2: up pronoun reporter on live TV.
- 29:53Speaker 14: First day on the job. President Trump's sign and executive order?
- 29:57Speaker 14: You know, the US government only recognizing two genders out
- 30:00Speaker 14: female they're unchangeable. You know, if elected as prime minister,
- 30:03Speaker 14: is that something that you're going to kind of walk
- 30:05Speaker 14: in line with or what are your feelings on that
- 30:07Speaker 14: executive order?
- 30:09Speaker 15: Well? I don't know, do you have any other genders
- 30:11Speaker 15: that you'd like to name.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Me personally.
- 30:17Speaker 14: I'm just asking more so, if you're in line with
- 30:20Speaker 14: what he is saying. Do you agree with what he's saying?
- 30:23Speaker 14: Is that something that you would be lockstep with? Theyf
- 30:25Speaker 14: elect as prime minister.
- 30:27Speaker 15: Well, I'm not aware of any other genders than men
- 30:30Speaker 15: and women. I mean, if you have any other that
- 30:33Speaker 15: you want me to consider, you're welcome to tell.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Me right now.
- 30:36Speaker 14: Well, there's well there's personally, I am a man, I
- 30:40Speaker 14: am a people says this man. There there are people
- 30:43Speaker 14: there who you know, they say they're gender neutral.
- 30:46Speaker 7: You are a man.
- 30:46Speaker 14: Yes, there are people there who say there are some genderutral. Yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 14: they say they're gender neutral. Uh, they're you know there,
- 30:52Speaker 14: they are a trans person. Is that something that you
- 30:56Speaker 14: would recognize here? Whereas in the stage at least with
- 31:00Speaker 14: their US government the way they're seeing it, there's only two.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I'm only aware of twough could watch Pierre on repeat
- 31:09Speaker 2: every day. Joining me now is journalist and filmmaker Army Horowitz.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Army, thank you for joining me. Good to see you.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Let's start with The lefts continued meltdown over Elon Musk's
- 31:19Speaker 2: gesture at the inauguration, which they are desperately insisting was
- 31:23Speaker 2: a Nazi salute. But now best selling author Gerald Posner,
- 31:27Speaker 2: who has written books on Hitler, youth, and the Nazi
- 31:30Speaker 2: regime and is very informed on this topic, has said, quote,
- 31:33Speaker 2: as non fiction authors of books about the Third Reich
- 31:37Speaker 2: and as co founders of Anti Semitism Watch, a nonprofit
- 31:40Speaker 2: that monitors anti Jewish hate worldwide, we know real Nazi
- 31:44Speaker 2: and fascist rhetoric and actions. When we watch this video clip,
- 31:48Speaker 2: we thought it was nothing more than him reaching out
- 31:50Speaker 2: to a large crowd in a moment of intense excitement. Ami,
- 31:55Speaker 2: how much more proof does a left need that this
- 31:57Speaker 2: was not a Nazi salute?
- 31:59Speaker 3: And why are they so desperately pushing this narrative?
- 32:03Speaker 16: Look, with all due respect to the gentleman you just quoted,
- 32:07Speaker 16: I don't need an expert on this, Okay, Thanika. This
- 32:10Speaker 16: is so stupid that if you send me, if a
- 32:13Speaker 16: producer send me this in advance saying we're going to
- 32:15Speaker 16: talk about this, I would have said, I'm not talking
- 32:17Speaker 16: about it. This is so dumb, but we have to
- 32:19Speaker 16: talk about it because the left, and when I say it,
- 32:22Speaker 16: by that the left, I mean basically the entire.
- 32:24Speaker 5: Media has been making this into a thing.
- 32:27Speaker 16: They're not arguing or discussing whether or not he made
- 32:30Speaker 16: a Nazi salute.
- 32:31Speaker 5: That'd be dumb enough. They're saying that he did it.
- 32:34Speaker 16: That's what CNN is saying, that's what the view is saying,
- 32:36Speaker 16: and so as it is beyond ridiculous.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Thinika.
- 32:39Speaker 16: Look, I think I have some skin the game on
- 32:43Speaker 16: this thing. Okay, I'm a Jewish man. I kind of
- 32:47Speaker 16: know what.
- 32:48Speaker 5: I have a pretty good Nazi radar. Okay, I know
- 32:51Speaker 5: what a Nazi is and what is that Nazi.
- 32:53Speaker 16: I've called him out. I've called him out on this show.
- 32:55Speaker 16: I've called him out of my personal life and other shows. Okay, look,
- 32:59Speaker 16: I don't want to pull the You know, I've got
- 33:02Speaker 16: Jewish friends card who know Elon. But I've got Jewish
- 33:04Speaker 16: friends who know Elon. Sorry I had to drop that
- 33:08Speaker 16: they know him. Well, Okay, the man is not a Nazi.
- 33:11Speaker 16: In fact, he's Pilo Semitic. Ben Shapiro went to Auschwitz
- 33:17Speaker 16: with Elon Musk and the latter gave a speech against
- 33:20Speaker 16: anty Semitism. Now, the question is not whether or not
- 33:23Speaker 16: he is a Nazi, because that's a dumb, stupid argument.
- 33:26Speaker 5: Okay, I'm not gonna indulge you any longer. The question
- 33:28Speaker 5: is why why are they doing this?
- 33:31Speaker 16: Well, look like racism Nazi is the last resort when
- 33:36Speaker 16: you have nothing else to say, all your policies have
- 33:38Speaker 16: clearly failed. It's the Nazi life boat they have to
- 33:43Speaker 16: cling to as.
- 33:44Speaker 5: A last resort.
- 33:45Speaker 16: For maybe as a hail Mary pass, we can do
- 33:48Speaker 16: something to move momentum back to us, we'll attack. It
- 33:52Speaker 16: didn't work with Donald Trump, he won the election. We
- 33:54Speaker 16: got to move on to something else. So let's go
- 33:56Speaker 16: to Elon Musk. That's what's happening here. Look, Chris Murphy
- 34:01Speaker 16: was talking to Elistafanik in Congress, and Chris Murphy asked her,
- 34:06Speaker 16: you know, by the way, rule number one, when you
- 34:08Speaker 16: were a lawyer talking and this is obviously not a
- 34:11Speaker 16: legal courtroom, but rule number one, you're a lawyer talking
- 34:14Speaker 16: to a witness.
- 34:15Speaker 5: So much what we see in Congress, they're talking to witnesses.
- 34:17Speaker 16: If you don't ask a question, you don't know how
- 34:20Speaker 16: the person is going to answer. So when Chris Murphy
- 34:23Speaker 16: asked her the question about the Nazi salute, again not
- 34:25Speaker 16: asking her, it should be dumb enough if he did it,
- 34:27Speaker 16: but a saying that he was doing a naz salute.
- 34:31Speaker 5: He got demolished and stream rolled by.
- 34:33Speaker 16: At Leista Panic, who, by the way, has a little
- 34:35Speaker 16: bit of credibility on this because she is the poster
- 34:38Speaker 16: girl when when the Hamas protesters, the Hamas supporters were
- 34:43Speaker 16: attacking Jews, she was the person who called out the
- 34:46Speaker 16: presidents of a number of different schools and she just
- 34:49Speaker 16: ran right over him. And then then you've got the
- 34:52Speaker 16: other part of the left, like AOC calling this out. AOC,
- 34:56Speaker 16: you won't call out Hamas who slaughtered thousands of Jews
- 35:01Speaker 16: today in not fifty or one hundred years ago. Today
- 35:06Speaker 16: they are killing and slaughtering Jews.
- 35:08Speaker 5: You'll call them out.
- 35:08Speaker 16: You won't call out the new neo Dazis, but you'll
- 35:11Speaker 16: call out some fake playbook about calling someone.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Who is pro Trump an old neo Nazi. It's ridiculous,
- 35:17Speaker 5: sick of it. Don't want to talk about anymore. Let's
- 35:18Speaker 5: move on.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I totally agree. The hypocrisy is astounding. Now all right,
- 35:23Speaker 2: let's move on, army, because finally America First is back.
- 35:26Speaker 2: The Trump administration is adopting a one flag only policy.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Blocking US embassy is an outposts from flying Pride and
- 35:34Speaker 2: Black lives matter, flags, army, it stars and stripes all
- 35:37Speaker 2: the way.
- 35:41Speaker 16: Again, I don't know how this is a controversy. Okay, right,
- 35:44Speaker 16: I don't know why this is crazy. Why are you
- 35:46Speaker 16: calling out and having an issue with the American.
- 35:50Speaker 5: Flag being the only flag you're allowed to fight?
- 35:53Speaker 16: The flag, by the way, which color covers justice and
- 35:56Speaker 16: liberty and democracy for everyone. Okay, look quick, little little anecdote,
- 36:02Speaker 16: if you will indulge me, Dadia for a moment. So
- 36:04Speaker 16: my coffee shop cross the street fro where I live,
- 36:06Speaker 16: love very much, but like most coffee shops, most barista's
- 36:10Speaker 16: very left wing. Don't know why they end up wanting
- 36:12Speaker 16: to work coffee shops, but they do.
- 36:14Speaker 5: I'm sure you know about that as well.
- 36:16Speaker 16: And they during Pride Month they are always fly actually,
- 36:21Speaker 16: actually they put the Pride flag all year long, not
- 36:24Speaker 16: just during Pride Month, which is totally there. They're able
- 36:26Speaker 16: to do that. I got an issue with that. And
- 36:28Speaker 16: on June teenth they actually fly the Juneteenth flag. Didn't
- 36:31Speaker 16: know there was a Juneteenth flag. I learned my coffee
- 36:33Speaker 16: shop there was one. Okay, fine, go ahead and do
- 36:35Speaker 16: that as well. You know what, they don't fly on
- 36:38Speaker 16: July fourth, on July.
- 36:40Speaker 5: Fourth, the day of Independence. They don't fly the American flag. Okay.
- 36:44Speaker 16: When I asked them why aren't they why aren't you
- 36:46Speaker 16: flying the American flag today?
- 36:48Speaker 5: They said, what are you some kind of racist? That
- 36:50Speaker 5: was their response.
- 36:51Speaker 16: Look, this is not just anti Americanism, right, which it is.
- 36:56Speaker 16: It's also a level of self hatred. Right, that's really
- 36:59Speaker 16: what if you will, I don't if you want to
- 37:00Speaker 16: be if I want to put them my psychologists couch, right,
- 37:02Speaker 16: I'm a psychologist. I just play one on Sky News Australia.
- 37:05Speaker 5: But that's what it is. It's self hatred.
- 37:07Speaker 16: And you know, I find it so despicable that the
- 37:10Speaker 16: Biden administration, which of course said you can fly different
- 37:13Speaker 16: kind of flags, and specifically said, right, the Biden administration
- 37:16Speaker 16: specifically said to US embassies you could fly the BLM flag,
- 37:21Speaker 16: the BLF flag, which is responsible for destroying over five
- 37:26Speaker 16: billion dollars in property across America, responsible for dozens of
- 37:32Speaker 16: deaths Danica, including police officers.
- 37:35Speaker 5: But that was okay, okay.
- 37:37Speaker 16: But now we have a new president and there's hey,
- 37:40Speaker 16: you know what, it's moral cleanup in Aisle five please,
- 37:43Speaker 16: and that's what this president is doing.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Look absolutely and It's about time for sure. Now, Look,
- 37:49Speaker 2: the Pentagon will begin deploying as many as fifteen hundred
- 37:52Speaker 2: active duty troops to help secure the southern border in
- 37:55Speaker 2: coming days, putting in motion President Donald Trump's plans to
- 37:59Speaker 2: crack down on immigration. And it remains to be seen
- 38:02Speaker 2: if they'll end up doing law enforcement there, but army.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I mean, this was a mandate that Trump was elected
- 38:07Speaker 2: on to crack down on immigration. So how important is
- 38:10Speaker 2: it that this next administration actually succeeds in doing so?
- 38:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it could be more important.
- 38:18Speaker 16: I mean, this is this is why this administration won, right,
- 38:21Speaker 16: It won on the economy number one, and a close
- 38:24Speaker 16: number two was immigration. When you let millions of people
- 38:28Speaker 16: in this country, there's going to be a price to pay.
- 38:31Speaker 16: And the prey was the price was this administration lose
- 38:34Speaker 16: the election and Donald Trump winning. Let me see you
- 38:36Speaker 16: recognize this person this quote? Yeah, there's nothing else I
- 38:41Speaker 16: can do within my power to secure the border. Now
- 38:44Speaker 16: you may not recognize the person. I wasn't I wasn't
- 38:46Speaker 16: swallowing my words, right, I wasn't dribbling from my mouth.
- 38:49Speaker 16: But there's a SENTI what Joe Biden said when asked
- 38:51Speaker 16: why you're not securing the border.
- 38:54Speaker 5: Look, it was obviously we now know it was all
- 38:57Speaker 5: within his power because we had the next president doing it.
- 39:00Speaker 16: He could have put troops to the border. He chose
- 39:02Speaker 16: not to do it, right, He could have hit all
- 39:05Speaker 16: he wants behind. I don't have the executive power to
- 39:07Speaker 16: do it, as we all know he did. He could
- 39:10Speaker 16: have done all the thing that Trump is doing. He
- 39:12Speaker 16: could have had deportations with Trump is now going to
- 39:15Speaker 16: begin to do. He could have built, could have continue
- 39:17Speaker 16: to build the wall, which he's stopped doing, which now
- 39:19Speaker 16: Trump will complete. And more importantly, Botherly than all of
- 39:22Speaker 16: these things, even even the soldiers of the border, even
- 39:25Speaker 16: more important is remain in Mexico. That was the number
- 39:28Speaker 16: one tool that the Trump administration used to stem the tide,
- 39:33Speaker 16: telling Mexico, these people will stay on your side of
- 39:37Speaker 16: the border, and then we'll vet them as they come through.
- 39:40Speaker 16: That's what's going on today right now. The troops aren't
- 39:44Speaker 16: as necessary because of that one policy that the Biden
- 39:48Speaker 16: administration decided to flip on. Okay, this is ridiculous, and
- 39:52Speaker 16: now we're showing this is why Biden lost exactly on
- 39:56Speaker 16: this issue.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's stop clearout now, isn't it now? This
- 40:01Speaker 2: is interesting, Army, because conservatism is making a comeback. There
- 40:05Speaker 2: are reports that liberal parents are now the ones actually
- 40:07Speaker 2: clashing with their conservative sons. After the election, we know
- 40:11Speaker 2: that Trump gained significant ground with the youth vote and
- 40:14Speaker 2: one fifty three percent of men aged eighteen to forty four, Armie,
- 40:18Speaker 2: why do you think that Trump appeals to gen Z
- 40:22Speaker 2: so much?
- 40:25Speaker 16: Yeah, the truth is, I don't know, and nobody really knows. Right,
- 40:28Speaker 16: this is actually a quirk in demographics. We all thought
- 40:31Speaker 16: that the young vote was going to go to Joe Biden.
- 40:33Speaker 16: It was trending that way for a very long time,
- 40:36Speaker 16: and there seems to be like we're going to be
- 40:37Speaker 16: saved by gen Z. I know, we kept looking at
- 40:39Speaker 16: gend saying who are you people? But the truth is
- 40:43Speaker 16: gen Z, particularly gen Z mails, are ones who may
- 40:47Speaker 16: for a long time keep us demographic alive for the
- 40:50Speaker 16: Republican Party. I find Oh, it is so delicious to
- 40:54Speaker 16: watch parents get upset to their kids about their politics. Look,
- 40:59Speaker 16: there's always this debate of nature versus nurture, and I've
- 41:03Speaker 16: always said that if you if you have kids, you
- 41:06Speaker 16: know that nature wins nurture.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Loses.
- 41:09Speaker 16: Nature is always the number one issue when it comes
- 41:12Speaker 16: to what a kid is like. And those parents who
- 41:15Speaker 16: are pushing this democratic liberal dogma on their kids for
- 41:18Speaker 16: all these years, he's learned a hard lesson on how
- 41:21Speaker 16: it works with life. And yeah, apparently the kids and
- 41:24Speaker 16: this this kind of boomerang that was an Australian term.
- 41:27Speaker 5: I think I just used what they thought.
- 41:30Speaker 16: This boomerang is now happening with gen Z and I'm
- 41:32Speaker 16: here for it.
- 41:33Speaker 5: I love it. I love it too.
- 41:34Speaker 3: It is an Aussie term and your spot on it's
- 41:36Speaker 3: so good.
- 41:36Speaker 2: That the younger generation now sponges and wanting to learn. Now,
- 41:40Speaker 2: speaking of the younger generation, Baron Trump appears to be
- 41:43Speaker 2: following in his father Donald Trump's footsteps. He's preparing to
- 41:47Speaker 2: launch a luxury real estate venture with two young business partners.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I feel like Baron is.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Really the success story out of this election. He helped
- 41:55Speaker 2: his father, got him onto those podcasts like Joe Rogan.
- 41:59Speaker 2: But you can say that this is a young entrepreneur.
- 42:01Speaker 2: How big of a future do you think he's got now?
- 42:04Speaker 5: He's a comer, no question about it.
- 42:06Speaker 16: I mean, look, frankly, all of Trump's kids are you
- 42:10Speaker 16: want to talk about how somebody can raise children and
- 42:13Speaker 16: you see who your children are a.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Reflection of you.
- 42:16Speaker 16: Look at his kids, look at not just the kids,
- 42:18Speaker 16: but who they married. Also, it's a wonderful family. This
- 42:22Speaker 16: is a family who's going to make a difference. I
- 42:24Speaker 16: think they're all going to get involved in business of politics,
- 42:27Speaker 16: no question about it. I think that it's a reflection
- 42:31Speaker 16: on the president, reflection on his ex wife and his
- 42:34Speaker 16: current wife and how they raise his kids. They're wonderful kids.
- 42:37Speaker 16: I've had a chance to meet a number of them.
- 42:40Speaker 16: They're great, they're smart, and yeah, I think it's wonderful.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Yeah, a big, bright future ahead for Baron. But you're right,
- 42:46Speaker 2: the rest of them are just as impressive. Ami Horowitz, good.
- 42:49Speaker 3: To see you. Thanks very much for joining me on
- 42:51Speaker 3: the show this evening.
- 42:52Speaker 5: Always a pleasure.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Still to come.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Prince Harry has seconded his lawsuit with the sun Kinsey
- 42:57Speaker 2: Starfield joins me next with the detail, Well, it's still
- 43:10Speaker 2: getting messier and messier in it ends with us feud
- 43:13Speaker 2: between co stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds want.
- 43:19Speaker 2: A judge to gag Baldoni's lawyer claiming he's making false
- 43:23Speaker 2: statements about the case. Joining me now is Entertainment and
- 43:26Speaker 2: Royal reporter Kinsey Schofield. Kinsey, thanks for joining me. What
- 43:30Speaker 2: is the couple claiming?
- 43:31Speaker 12: Now, you're not kidding when you say this is getting
- 43:35Speaker 12: mess here the author of that book deleting her Instagram account,
- 43:39Speaker 12: Another who plays Baldoni's sister in the film being harassed
- 43:44Speaker 12: online for siting with Blake today. What's going on is Blake,
- 43:49Speaker 12: Lively and Ryan Reynolds asking a judge to gag Justin
- 43:53Speaker 12: Baldoni's lawyer, claiming he's making false statements about the case.
- 43:58Speaker 12: They filed a letter in court on Tuesday, and in
- 44:01Speaker 12: it they asked the court to issue a protective order
- 44:03Speaker 12: to stop him from talking.
- 44:05Speaker 3: They believe that it's a.
- 44:07Speaker 12: Continuation of the smear campaign that Blake initially claims happened
- 44:13Speaker 12: while they were promoting the film.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Wow, okay, I feel like every day there's something different,
- 44:19Speaker 2: which is such a shame because it's detracted so much
- 44:21Speaker 2: from the movie. But this is not going away anytime soon,
- 44:25Speaker 2: I don't think, Kinsey. Now, let's talk about the inauguration outfit,
- 44:29Speaker 2: the one everyone is talking about, worn by Lauren Sanchez,
- 44:33Speaker 2: the fiance of Amazon billionaire Jeffrey Bezos, a blazer with
- 44:38Speaker 2: Laurne Gerray underneath at the inauguration. Now, Sanchez has started
- 44:43Speaker 2: to clap back at some of the haters.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Kinsey, what has she said?
- 44:50Speaker 12: Well, I mean, I do she's trying to have a
- 44:53Speaker 12: good attitude about it. You know, Whitney Cummings went at
- 44:55Speaker 12: her talking about how cheap she looked in the lease,
- 44:58Speaker 12: and not only did Laura and Sanchez like it, but
- 45:02Speaker 12: she left a heart. I don't know if she's killing
- 45:04Speaker 12: people with kindness and that's how she's trying to navigate this.
- 45:09Speaker 12: But I you know, I think that she's trying to
- 45:14Speaker 12: take it as best as she can.
- 45:15Speaker 7: I don't I.
- 45:17Speaker 12: Imagine she knew what reaction she was going to get
- 45:19Speaker 12: when she walked in with her Victoria's Secrets brush showing.
- 45:22Speaker 3: I don't know what else she thought was going to
- 45:25Speaker 3: have it.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she knew exactly what she was going
- 45:28Speaker 2: to do if she's going to wear an outfit like that.
- 45:30Speaker 2: But yeah, maybe she is killing people with kindness, But gosh,
- 45:33Speaker 2: it's been the talk of the internet.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Now let's talk about Prince Harry.
- 45:37Speaker 2: He has settled his lawsuit with the son's publisher over
- 45:40Speaker 2: claims of unlawful information gathering between nineteen ninety six to
- 45:44Speaker 2: twenty eleven. Kinsey, what was this over and what was
- 45:47Speaker 2: the agreed outcome?
- 45:49Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean this was a win for Prince Harry.
- 45:52Speaker 12: Today the son issued a rare apology for years of
- 45:55Speaker 12: intrusions into his private life and agreed to pay a
- 45:58Speaker 12: substantial and damages to settle this lawsuit in court. Harry's
- 46:04Speaker 12: lawyer at a statement from Newsgroup Newspapers offering a full
- 46:08Speaker 12: apology to Harry for the serious privacy violations committed by
- 46:12Speaker 12: the son between nineteen ninety six through twenty eleven. And
- 46:17Speaker 12: this statement extended beyond the case itself, acknowledging that Princess Diana,
- 46:23Speaker 12: Harry's late mother, also was affected by some of these
- 46:28Speaker 12: privacy invasions. So I've heard personally that Megan has encouraged
- 46:34Speaker 12: him to settle these forever. She feels like this is
- 46:37Speaker 12: the only way for them to move forward. I imagine
- 46:40Speaker 12: they're both very happy in Montecito today.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Yeah, look, they probably have. I just find it hypocritical.
- 46:45Speaker 2: I mean, Harry's the one that always wants privacy. It
- 46:48Speaker 2: always fills the beans on the Royal family. I can
- 46:50Speaker 2: just never figure that guy out now. Also speaking of
- 46:53Speaker 2: Prince Harry, he has posed for photographs with a fire
- 46:57Speaker 2: service therapy dogs who have been helping cruise and residents
- 47:00Speaker 2: impacted by the California wildfires.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Kinsey, what's he been doing.
- 47:05Speaker 12: You know, posing for photos. I'm sure that he means well,
- 47:10Speaker 12: But to quote Justin Beiateman today on Pierce Morgan, I
- 47:13Speaker 12: don't know who these people are.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 47:16Speaker 12: Why they were there walking on possible human remains. Maybe
- 47:20Speaker 12: they mean well, but what the heck are they doing there?
- 47:23Speaker 3: Now?
- 47:23Speaker 2: Look, I agree, and I mean it goes to the
- 47:25Speaker 2: fact that both he and Megan pose for the photo
- 47:27Speaker 2: opportunities right after the California fires when they were hugging people.
- 47:31Speaker 2: I feel like he only makes these public appearances when
- 47:34Speaker 2: there's cameras and photographs in the room. Otherwise you never
- 47:37Speaker 2: hear from him at all. So I just find it
- 47:40Speaker 2: all very unusual now, Kinsey. King Charles has privately congratulated
- 47:46Speaker 2: Donald Trump on his inauguration.
- 47:49Speaker 3: What has he said.
- 47:52Speaker 12: Well, he talked about the enduring special relationship between the
- 47:56Speaker 12: UK and the US, and this was confirmed by Bucky
- 48:00Speaker 12: him Palace. But did you know that Milania and King
- 48:04Speaker 12: Charles have been pen pals four years? I loved I
- 48:08Speaker 12: don't know why I love that information so much, but
- 48:10Speaker 12: I just think that is.
- 48:11Speaker 3: The sweetest thing.
- 48:12Speaker 12: So I'm not surprised that the King reached out to
- 48:17Speaker 12: President Trump. You know, I do believe that there is
- 48:20Speaker 12: a loving relationship between the families minus Prince Arian Megan Markle,
- 48:25Speaker 12: but you know, they should probably be concerned about that.
- 48:28Speaker 12: But yeah, I thought that that was super sweet of
- 48:30Speaker 12: the King. But I'm not surprised knowing that he hand
- 48:34Speaker 12: writes letters back and forth to our new first Lady
- 48:37Speaker 12: Milania Trump.
- 48:38Speaker 2: I just think that is so special and so beautiful.
- 48:41Speaker 2: And to be honest, Kinsey, I'm actually not surprised because
- 48:44Speaker 2: King Charles is so traditional by the way he communicates,
- 48:48Speaker 2: so probably sitting writing a letter means so much to him,
- 48:52Speaker 2: and I've got to say I really appreciate that. But
- 48:54Speaker 2: how sweets that they're pen pals. I think that's lovely,
- 48:57Speaker 2: Kinsey Schofield, good to see you. Thank you very much
- 48:59Speaker 2: for me on the program this evening. Well that's it
- 49:03Speaker 2: for me.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Up next is Newsnight. Good Night,
