- 0:00Speaker 1: Join me now in this sunny, whinning future is exclusive.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Is the man himself, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Mister Prime Minister, thank you so much for joining us
- 0:09Speaker 1: this morning.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Good to be with you, Maria.
- 0:12Speaker 1: So, Prime Minister, you just heard what Zorn Mamdani had
- 0:15Speaker 1: to say. He's calling you a war criminal. You're not
- 0:18Speaker 1: welcome in New York City. We of course also heard
- 0:20Speaker 1: from the President Trump on this and many others who
- 0:24Speaker 1: said this is absolutely not happening. But what are your plans?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Are you still going to come to the U in
- 0:28Speaker 1: General Assembly? Are you concerned about that?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Ark?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Now, I'm not concerned, and I certainly intend to do so.
- 0:34Speaker 3: I've appeared just about every year, not every year, but
- 0:37Speaker 3: almost every year in my prime ministership unless there are
- 0:41Speaker 3: security conditions, but barring that, and I don't expect that
- 0:45Speaker 3: to be the case this time. Yes, I do intend
- 0:47Speaker 3: to come to New York.
- 0:50Speaker 1: The International Criminal Court issued arrest of warrants for you
- 0:54Speaker 1: and your former Defense minister for genocide. What is your
- 0:58Speaker 1: response to this?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Well, the one who promoted that was the ICC, the
- 1:04Speaker 3: International Criminal Court prosecutor, who has since been completely exposed
- 1:10Speaker 3: as a criminal he himself was accused was going to
- 1:14Speaker 3: face charges of sexual harassment by two women. He knew that,
- 1:19Speaker 3: and he was going to come to Israel, and he
- 1:21Speaker 3: spoke warmly about Israel's judicial system and the fact that
- 1:25Speaker 3: there has to be an extensive investigation before any conclusions
- 1:29Speaker 3: are gone. And on the day that he was supposed
- 1:31Speaker 3: to visit Israel, he canceled everything, called a news conference
- 1:35Speaker 3: and accused me and the former Defense minister of the
- 1:38Speaker 3: war crimes. Now we learned why because a few days
- 1:41Speaker 3: before that he was basically confronted by his chief of
- 1:46Speaker 3: staff who said, you know, these two employers, employees of you,
- 1:50Speaker 3: female employees of yours, are going to charge you with
- 1:53Speaker 3: the sexual crimes. So he thought, how am I going
- 1:55Speaker 3: to divert my criminality to something that will protect me?
- 2:00Speaker 3: And the best way, he thought, was Israel bashing and
- 2:02Speaker 3: frankly bashing me and thereby getting the envelope the protection
- 2:07Speaker 3: of all the anti Israel crowd. And that's basically what
- 2:09Speaker 3: he did, and it worked for a while, but then
- 2:12Speaker 3: the truth came out by various organizations, including the left
- 2:17Speaker 3: wing newspapers The Guardian, and as it came out, he
- 2:21Speaker 3: was basically he lost his job. He thought, if there's
- 2:23Speaker 3: an indictment, I'm going to have a job. There was
- 2:26Speaker 3: an indictment, and he lost his job because he was
- 2:29Speaker 3: removed by a vast majority of nations who knew that
- 2:32Speaker 3: he was a con job. So his name is Kareem Khan.
- 2:34Speaker 3: He pulled a con job on the international community with
- 2:37Speaker 3: these bogus charges of war crimes on us. Now he's
- 2:42Speaker 3: going to be in the dock. And I think that
- 2:44Speaker 3: tells you that the whole thing that the Mayor of
- 2:47Speaker 3: New York is basing himself on this criminals, bogus charges,
- 2:51Speaker 3: that's what he's using. And look at what he's doing.
- 2:54Speaker 3: He's for metting hate. He's supposed to be the mayor
- 2:57Speaker 3: of all New Yorkers, Jews, Christians, Muslims, everyone, but he's
- 3:02Speaker 3: trying to turn one group against the other and he's
- 3:05Speaker 3: foisting hate and fear. I speak to Jewish Americans in
- 3:09Speaker 3: New York and they're afraid right now. And I don't
- 3:12Speaker 3: think it's accidental that after he made this hate speech
- 3:15Speaker 3: against Israel and against me, the next day a Jewish
- 3:19Speaker 3: stabbed coming out of a synagogue, I think, and with
- 3:22Speaker 3: a cry of Allah's akaba, allah akaba, and you know
- 3:25Speaker 3: what that means. So I think that it's shameful. This
- 3:28Speaker 3: thing is very bad for New York. I think it's
- 3:32Speaker 3: very bad for peace. But the answer to your question,
- 3:34Speaker 3: I intend to come and speak the truth, speak for
- 3:37Speaker 3: Israel and for the Israeli American Alliance from the podium.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Of the United Nations.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Well, this is a very important point that you're making, though,
- 3:45Speaker 1: because this rhetoric from Zorn Mamdani is more than just
- 3:50Speaker 1: talking about Israel and a personal fight that he's having
- 3:53Speaker 1: with you. I'm wondering if you believe that this rhetoric
- 3:57Speaker 1: is making Jewish New Yorkers unsafe, and is that what's
- 4:01Speaker 1: behind so much upset and this anti Israel sentiment raging
- 4:06Speaker 1: across the country.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Well, I do think that Jews feel very uncomfortable, because
- 4:11Speaker 3: I speak to quite a lot of my friends and
- 4:14Speaker 3: they say, look, it's like a different world. We're afraid
- 4:17Speaker 3: to go into the streets. We certainly do not want
- 4:19Speaker 3: to wear yamukas or any clothing that would give away
- 4:25Speaker 3: that we're Jews. But yes, they feel frightened, and I
- 4:29Speaker 3: think that's part of this incitement language that is sweeping
- 4:33Speaker 3: a lot of circles with anti Semitism, a lot of
- 4:36Speaker 3: circles in the West, in the United States, and unbelievably
- 4:40Speaker 3: in New York City, which has the second largest Jewish
- 4:43Speaker 3: population in the world after Israel. And I think it's wrong.
- 4:47Speaker 3: The whole thing is wrong. And what are they doing?
- 4:50Speaker 3: I mean what mom? Dannie is supporting his wife, his
- 4:53Speaker 3: family celebrated October seventh massacre, the worst massacre against Jews
- 4:59Speaker 3: since the Holocaus. He's basically supporting. He tries to say
- 5:03Speaker 3: that he doesn't, but he's supporting the Hamas murderers who
- 5:06Speaker 3: raped our women, then beheaded them, burnt babies alive, slaughtered
- 5:10Speaker 3: our men, took innocent people, hostages, two hundred and fifty
- 5:13Speaker 3: one men, women, children, babies. That's who he's supporting. And
- 5:18Speaker 3: they're the ones who are responsible for genocide. They would
- 5:21Speaker 3: have killed, as their charter says, and they themselves proclaimed,
- 5:24Speaker 3: they would have killed every single Jew in Israel and
- 5:28Speaker 3: every Jew in the world. So the genocide charge belongs
- 5:32Speaker 3: to our enemies. What we're doing is try to fight
- 5:35Speaker 3: this genocidal terrorist organization that embeds itself among civilians, prevents
- 5:39Speaker 3: us from moving the civilians out of harm's way they
- 5:42Speaker 3: use gunpoint. That's where the real criminals are. But Mamdani
- 5:47Speaker 3: is aligning himself with the criminals, with these murderers. But
- 5:52Speaker 3: the worst thing is that he's tormenting his own, his
- 5:55Speaker 3: own citizens, his own voters.
- 5:57Speaker 2: No, that is wrong.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And to New York so many times, Maria, Yes, over
- 6:02Speaker 3: the years, I have met all the New York mayors. They
- 6:05Speaker 3: all saw themselves as mayors of all New Yorkers, not
- 6:09Speaker 3: putting pitting one part of the population against the other.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Of course, mister Prime Minister, let me move on to
- 6:15Speaker 1: the war where we saw the highest really hostilities yet
- 6:21Speaker 1: in the last week. What will it take to end
- 6:24Speaker 1: this war?
- 6:27Speaker 2: I think it will.
- 6:28Speaker 3: What will it take it will take for Iran to
- 6:30Speaker 3: understand either for this regime to fall or for Iran
- 6:34Speaker 3: to realize that the cost of reeking economic chaos to
- 6:39Speaker 3: the world, murdering its thousands of its own citizens and
- 6:44Speaker 3: shooting at everyone, I mean literally at everyone, at Saudi Arabia,
- 6:48Speaker 3: at Bahrain, at Qatar, at Kuwait, at the UAE, at Israel,
- 6:53Speaker 3: at Jordan, every single one. I mean, this is what
- 6:56Speaker 3: this regime is doing when they don't have nuclear weapons.
- 7:00Speaker 3: What they would do if they had nuclear weapons. I
- 7:02Speaker 3: think when this regime is either toppled or it's sufficiently
- 7:05Speaker 3: weakened that it knows it has to end its nuclear
- 7:08Speaker 3: program and has to change its course. That's really what
- 7:11Speaker 3: President Trump is trying to achieve, and I back fully
- 7:16Speaker 3: his efforts to do so. If he can do so
- 7:19Speaker 3: without returning to intense military fighting, that's.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Fine, why not.
- 7:24Speaker 3: But one way or the other, they have to end
- 7:26Speaker 3: their nuclear program, and with a deal or without a deal,
- 7:29Speaker 3: that has to come to an end.
- 7:31Speaker 1: How far back do you believe Iran's nuclear program has
- 7:34Speaker 1: been set back or since this fighting began at the
- 7:37Speaker 1: end of February.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Quite a bit.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I mean we you know, we knocked out twenty of
- 7:43Speaker 3: their chief nuclear scientists in the two operations that we
- 7:47Speaker 3: did with the United States, twenty leading nuclear scientists. We
- 7:51Speaker 3: knocked out a lot of their facilities. It doesn't mean
- 7:55Speaker 3: that they can try to reconstruct, but we pushed them
- 7:57Speaker 3: back a.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Good few years.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Important because just imagine, I mean, what would happen if
- 8:03Speaker 3: this regimed the chance death to America. That's their real goal,
- 8:07Speaker 3: death to America. If they had nuclear weapons and the
- 8:11Speaker 3: means to deliver them to where you're sitting right now, Maria.
- 8:15Speaker 3: To New York, or to Washington, or to any city
- 8:18Speaker 3: in the United States, this would be a mortal peril
- 8:22Speaker 3: to every citizen in the United States. And obviously President
- 8:25Speaker 3: Trump and I are both committed to prevent this danger
- 8:29Speaker 3: to the United States, to the peace of the world,
- 8:31Speaker 3: and to Israel. And I can tell you that we'll
- 8:34Speaker 3: pursue all the means to prevent that. So, yes, we
- 8:37Speaker 3: pushed it back, but it doesn't mean that you can't
- 8:40Speaker 3: have the attempt to restore it. And we have to
- 8:42Speaker 3: be on the constant watch so it doesn't happen.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And you're getting set to travel to the US to
- 8:48Speaker 1: meet with President Trump and then attend the funeral services
- 8:51Speaker 1: of Senator Lindsey Graham. Prime Minister, what can you tell
- 8:54Speaker 1: us about any fresh new intelligence that you may have
- 8:58Speaker 1: about that nuclear program that you were about to present
- 9:01Speaker 1: President Trump with.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Well, first, let me say that Lindsey Graham is a
- 9:06Speaker 3: terrible loss. He was such a great friend, such a
- 9:09Speaker 3: champion of America and a patriot, and such a champion
- 9:13Speaker 3: of the Israeli American Alliance. He believed in the benefits
- 9:17Speaker 3: at Israel gives to the United States, in terms of
- 9:20Speaker 3: intel weapons technology, and of course we appreciated very much
- 9:24Speaker 3: all the help that we got from the United States.
- 9:26Speaker 3: So he was an extraordinary American patriot and we miss
- 9:31Speaker 3: him greatly. As far as the nuclear program, we constantly
- 9:35Speaker 3: exchange information. Our intel services and yours are working so
- 9:39Speaker 3: close together that it's not that I'm going to present
- 9:42Speaker 3: new information, but I think it's a good thing to
- 9:45Speaker 3: have the opportunity to sit with our good friend President
- 9:48Speaker 3: Trump and to hear what he has in mind, because
- 9:51Speaker 3: I think in many ways it's his decision. But let
- 9:54Speaker 3: me say one thing, and I think I should say
- 9:57Speaker 3: very very clearly, if he ran tax Israel, either directly
- 10:02Speaker 3: or through proxies, either with ballistic missiles or UAVs or
- 10:07Speaker 3: killer drones, it will make a terrible mistake because our response,
- 10:13Speaker 3: Israel's response will be very very forceful.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Prime Minister Lebanon is also a key central to Israel's
- 10:24Speaker 1: long term security. I want to get your take on
- 10:27Speaker 1: the meeting in the White House with the President of
- 10:29Speaker 1: Lebanon last week and your thoughts on whether or not
- 10:33Speaker 1: he can be a positive in this fight.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Well, first of all, I think we've already had a
- 10:39Speaker 3: positive development because remember Krisbala, that basically holds Lebanon hostage,
- 10:45Speaker 3: had taken over the south of the country that borders
- 10:47Speaker 3: on Israel, and they were going to invade us like
- 10:50Speaker 3: the Kamas Dad on October seventh. They were going to
- 10:53Speaker 3: do it, actually with a force a lot bigger. They
- 10:55Speaker 3: prepared terra tunnels, they had the terror installations along the order,
- 11:00Speaker 3: and we pushed them back. We pushed them back by
- 11:02Speaker 3: five to eight miles away from our border, destroyed a
- 11:07Speaker 3: lot of these terror tunnels, and they were in a
- 11:11Speaker 3: position to fire directly anti tank missiles right into our
- 11:15Speaker 3: living rooms across the border. Actually they did that, so
- 11:19Speaker 3: we prevented that from happening. I think we weakened Isabella
- 11:23Speaker 3: a lot. They had one hundred and fifty thousand missiles
- 11:27Speaker 3: and rockets, the greatest concentration of such projectiles on the
- 11:31Speaker 3: planet aimed against Israel. We knocked out about ninety four
- 11:35Speaker 3: percent of that. So that's good for Israel, good for peace,
- 11:37Speaker 3: good for Lebanon. But it's still there. We talked to
- 11:41Speaker 3: the Lebanese government with Europe, with America's Good offices in Washington,
- 11:47Speaker 3: led by the President and Secretary of Rubil, and we
- 11:51Speaker 3: got a deal, and the deal says openly, for the
- 11:54Speaker 3: first time in decades, Israelis and Lebanese are talking directly
- 11:56Speaker 3: to one another. And the deal was we pushed back Hisbala,
- 12:01Speaker 3: we demilitarize Lebanon, we disarmed Hisbeala, and we make peace.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And I think the fact that this deal was put
- 12:08Speaker 3: forward is a great advance. It shows that Ribala's ability
- 12:12Speaker 3: to intimidate Lebanon's government and its president has been sharply reduced.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Now whether or not the Lebanese army can take over
- 12:20Speaker 3: the areas that we clear up from Ribala, that remains
- 12:23Speaker 3: to be seen, but we're willing to give it a try.
- 12:26Speaker 3: And I think that on the whole of positive development
- 12:30Speaker 3: and may lead to another peace treaty between Israel and
- 12:33Speaker 3: in Arab country.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Wow. Well, that's what I want to ask you about
- 12:36Speaker 1: it about the Abraham Accord. But first let me ask
- 12:38Speaker 1: you this, because many Israelis are deeply divided on what
- 12:43Speaker 1: your government is doing in the response to this, what
- 12:46Speaker 1: do you want to say to critics who may not
- 12:49Speaker 1: understand what you're seeing in terms of this ongoing war.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I think there's a lot more unity in the country
- 12:57Speaker 3: than appears in you know, in the in the various
- 13:03Speaker 3: statements by politicians, most Israelies understand we have to fight Chrisbala.
- 13:07Speaker 3: We're doing that, by the way, with an incredible ratio
- 13:11Speaker 3: of the five terrorists killed for every civilian killed. That's
- 13:15Speaker 3: unheard of, and we do it because we precision target
- 13:18Speaker 3: the terrorists. Chris Bala, like Hamas embeds itself among civilians.
- 13:22Speaker 2: But we've been.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Able to reduce that ratio in Gaza because the last
- 13:26Speaker 3: thing we want is genocide. In fact, we want to
- 13:28Speaker 3: hit the terrorists, not the civilians that they use as
- 13:31Speaker 3: human shields, and we're very successful in doing that. In Lebanon,
- 13:35Speaker 3: most as rallies understand that we have to keep the
- 13:37Speaker 3: security zone that we have now alongside the Israeli border
- 13:41Speaker 3: on the Lebanese side in order to prevent a new
- 13:44Speaker 3: invasion attempt by Chrisbala terrorists, and most support our efforts
- 13:49Speaker 3: to reach a piece with Lebanon. So I would think
- 13:51Speaker 3: there's a lot more unity among Israelis than meets the eye.
- 13:55Speaker 3: And if I'm elected again, we're going to have elections
- 13:57Speaker 3: in a few months, I intend to create a broad
- 14:00Speaker 3: national government that will give expression to that unity.
- 14:04Speaker 1: In the next government and Prime Minister. I want to
- 14:08Speaker 1: get your take on this Saudi deal over nuclear a
- 14:11Speaker 1: nuclear deal with the US. The Israel was concerned in
- 14:16Speaker 1: the past about Saudi Arabia's ability to enrich uranium. But
- 14:21Speaker 1: President Trump has done this civilian nuclear deal program with
- 14:26Speaker 1: the Saudis on the condition that Saudi Arabia joined the
- 14:31Speaker 1: Abraham Accords. Are you expecting that and what is your
- 14:34Speaker 1: assessment of this nuclear deal?
- 14:37Speaker 3: Well, first of all, I think President Trump was absolutely
- 14:40Speaker 3: right in stating that condition.
- 14:43Speaker 2: You know that Saudi Arabia would get.
- 14:45Speaker 3: A civilian nuclear program in exchange for normalization of relations
- 14:51Speaker 3: with Israel. I stress civilian because the last thing we want,
- 14:54Speaker 3: and I'm sure the last thing the President wants, is
- 14:57Speaker 3: a military program nuclear program in Saudi Arabia. Can we
- 15:02Speaker 3: have this? Yes, I think it's possible. Remember that we
- 15:05Speaker 3: had four peace agreements between Israel and Arab nations broken
- 15:10Speaker 3: by President Trump. With my working together with me, it's
- 15:14Speaker 3: a great achievement, historic achievement, and obviously we'll be delighted
- 15:18Speaker 3: if we could extend it to Saudi Arabia and other countries.
- 15:21Speaker 3: And I think if we weaken Iran further, we.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Will Which countries are you expecting to join the Abraham
- 15:27Speaker 1: Okkur Accord, sir?
- 15:30Speaker 2: The ones that I want to join, I will not.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I won't reduce the probability of their joining by exposing
- 15:37Speaker 3: them here. But I can tell you that we have well, Marie.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'll tell you this.
- 15:41Speaker 3: And everybody says Israel is isolated, as it's not isolated.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I mean many many countries in Africa, in Latin America,
- 15:51Speaker 3: in Asia, even in Europe.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Many countries are coming.
- 15:55Speaker 3: To us because they want to share our technology, civilian technology.
- 15:59Speaker 3: They want to benefit from our military prowess and technology.
- 16:05Speaker 3: And there are now contacts with several Arab countries in
- 16:08Speaker 3: the Middle East. But because I want to advance those contacts,
- 16:11Speaker 3: I'd rather reserve my answer to a future appearance on
- 16:15Speaker 3: your show.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Well and we want you back, but real quick, before
- 16:18Speaker 1: you go, mister Prime Minister. The anti Semitism in the
- 16:21Speaker 1: Democrat Party, are you worried about losing the Democrat Party
- 16:25Speaker 1: as supposed a risk to Israeli US relations? Real quick, sir.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm very concerned with that, obviously, because I think
- 16:32Speaker 3: a bipartisan support for Israel is important, very important for us.
- 16:36Speaker 3: But I'll tell you what I'm worried about most. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 3: worried about the reasons that leading Democrats have said privately.
- 16:46Speaker 3: One of them said it actually publicly of why they
- 16:49Speaker 3: joined the radical fringe, and the reason is that their
- 16:52Speaker 3: family has been arressed that they're afraid of being tailed
- 16:56Speaker 3: everywhere and being intimidated by this rat fringe. So I
- 17:01Speaker 3: think that's really something that should worry every American. You
- 17:04Speaker 3: don't want legislators taking their position because of personal intimidation.
- 17:09Speaker 2: That's bad.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yes, I worry about it, Miss Prime Minister. Good to
- 17:13Speaker 1: have you this morning. We so appreciate your time. Thank you, sir.
