- Chris Laker: I I'm getting a late start today. I'm all thrown off. Things were going on in the apartment. Something was getting fixed. I couldn't start recording earlier. Then I realized I misdated yesterday's episode everywhere as the seventeenth when it's the eighteenth. who knows what ripple effect that had. In society where people are walking around thinking it's the 17th when it's the eighteenth, and then thinking today is the eighteenth. People probably didn't even go to work today because they're like, well, it's Sunday. Yesterday was the 17th. I saw it on overslept. sorry if that happened to anybody. Don't rely on me for accurate information of any kind ever. I say things sometimes confidence. when I am completely wrong. I will feel like I'm right. I'll think I'm right. I'm not talking about opinions. I'm talking about actual facts that I misremember that I will say I am positive this is true. I would bet a million dollars and not true. I also tend to think people are dead. Any celebrity, I think I'm like, did they die? I'm like, I think I remember them dying. I'm not even gonna say who I thought was dead, but I was positive this person was dead. I remembered their death being announced, and I was very relieved they weren't dead. don't know why I feel like I'm jinxing this person if I say who they are, but I'm not gonna say who they are. They are alive and I believe healthy. I did that yesterday with somebody else. It's not a Mandela effect. I don't believe in the Mandela effect. The Mandela effect doesn't make any sense about these people who thought Mandela died. I really remember Nelson Mandela dying. Well, you were wrong. That's the answer to that. You were just wrong. He didn't die when you thought he died. there's a comedian, Brendan Eyre has a funny bit about it, who's like, Well, nobody in his family had the Mandela effect. I'm not gonna tell the joke right, but that was the idea of it. I sort of ruined his joke. Now if you see him live and he starts to do that joke, you're like, I know where this is going. Sorry. people do that with the Barron Stein bears like, no, it was Berenstein Bears. I remember that. That's what it was. No, you're just wrong. I remember it the way it's spelled. I'm not in an alternate universe. I just remember it that way. If there really truly is a Mandela effect and the split realities, I am from the reality where Nelson Mandela died in twenty thirteen, Barenstein Bears is spelled Berenstain Bears, and there was not a movie starring Sinbad called Shazam. There's a movie starring Shaquille O'Neal called Kazam. I remember that. there was no Shazam starring Sinbad. I've been a big Sinbad fan, I would have seen that movie. I saw Kazam with Shaquille O'Neal. That was pretty good movie. Shaquille O'Neal movies, he wasn't a good actor. I enjoyed his movies. He had a charm. I say bring him back to acting. Sinbad, House Guest, that's a classic movie. I haven't seen it in long time. Should revisit it. There was no Kazam. as much as I'll confidently say facts, it's mostly people who I think are dead who are alive. Well, that's like the Mandela effect. But I assume I'm just wrong and misremember things as opposed to there's been a split in reality I should just blame split in realities for everything I say that is wrong. Somebody should try that on Jeopardy when they get a question wrong. No, I remember that. I think there's been a split in reality. I'm in the wrong Jeopardy. I should still get those points though. I got Mandela affected here. Okay, I remember Baron Baron Steen Bears. So I'm jumping back and forth between realities. Who's the president again? Are you kidding? I can't try that. I'll never get on Jeopardy. I can never answer those questions. And I don't find the show interesting. I don't even want to be on the prices right anymore. I used to want to be on the prices right. Then I knew a dude on the prices right. Won a car. They don't give you the car. And I knew that, but it would be nice. You win the car, you walk out of there to give you a car. No, after you win the car, you gotta do some weird tax stuff where you gotta pay taxes on the car. And then they just give you a gift certificate for a car dealership where you can go get a car for the price of the car they told you it was. You don't have to get that car, which I think you should have to get that car. If you win a Nissan Versa, you should have to drive a Nissan Versa and you should have a won as on the price is right emblem. Somewhere on that car. at least the frame around the license plate should be won on the prices right. There should be some acknowledgement that that Nissan Versa was won not you bought it. And it should be the same color as the one they show. you can't change the color. This is what you won This particular car. Television is full of lies. This is why nobody trusts the media. I'm going to get to the news. You can trust me, because I'm independent media, but I am reading non independent media. ICE agent broke US citizens' arm as they detained him in California, officials say. This was in Long Beach at a protest, for some reason at a protest, they're detaining a guy, works for the city, and they throw him to the ground, break his arm, because they're not trained and they're just violent and they're awful. ICE is a terrorist organization. I don't think there'll be traditional justice for any of it. But justice comes somehow. karma, God, some sort of thing. It helps me to think that anyway. May I please say to you publicly, Fuck you, What happened here was a woman shoplifting, I believe diapers. She has her kid, she's shoplifting, cops get called. She holds up her kid to show, hey, listen, I'm a mom with a kid, and they shoot the kid. this one year old. dies and the Mississippi Attorney General says it's a justified shooting. I really wish the worst for the Mississippi AG so the cops in Mississippi can shoot whoever the fuck they feel like shooting. This is true lot of places, and it's true with ice everybody who is given a gun by the government right now, can point it at you take your life, nothing will happen to them. Hold your loved ones close. Be fucking careful. I'm just fucking disgusted. I'm not gonna say what I hope, but I hope it. there is a thought in my head that I will not verbalize. If somehow the Russians were able to hack my brain, download what's being stored up there and put it out publicly on the internet, that would be that would be a problem. But no, but I wouldn't want to do this anymore. think this interior minister just doesn't want an interior minister anymore because this is a fucking hassle. they're mad. There's all sorts of stuff going on. I want to go home and not deal with this. And Macron's like, no, you still work here. resignation not accepted. But how do I get fired then? What do I got to do? Things are not going well. Who's going to take that gig right now? I'd take it. You offer me interior minister of France. I would take it. I don't think I would do a good job. maybe I'd do a good job. I would ask somebody who knows how to do the job, what to do. I wouldn't just act like I know best. I shouldn't be the interior minister. But if you can't find anybody, I'd like to go to France, even now. Hotels are probably really cheap right now. But they would have you'd have to provide accommodations if you'd make me interior minister. I guess I could probably provide my own accommodations. I'm the minister of the interior. That would include housing I think. Because this is the interior. I minister it. This is mine now. Not gonna kick somebody out of their home. I would take a vacant apartment. And nothing too fancy. a man of the people. And I don't want to get caught up in these riots. Actually, I might end up joining the protest, not rioting the protests. You have a protest, some people get out of hand, doesn't undermine the protest altogether. Who knows who the people are who are getting out of hand too? What's going on with the protest? Why are people upset? see if the is that valid? maybe it I don't know exactly. I don't live in France. well, there's no job opening there because won't accept the resignation. outrage after Meta suspends No King's Instagram account during protests. These protests were happening the other day, Saturday. I didn't even know that there was planned protests. No Kings protest. The name misses the mark. The branding there. I don't know. I mean not that I disagree with the No Kings. I just feel like it's something off with the branding there. I would have gone maybe, thought about going if it was close.
