- 0:33Speaker 3: We'll do our best to make use my.
- 0:36Speaker 2: The indoors man.
- 0:41Speaker 4: What is happening? I'm roblin quiz and we are the
- 0:46Speaker 4: avid indoors Man. Everybody, How are you, buddy? I'm good man,
- 0:52Speaker 4: I'm good good.
- 0:54Speaker 5: But it's uh, it's good.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I'm excited to watch some sports tonight. Dude.
- 0:59Speaker 6: It's a big night, big night baby for the people listening.
- 1:05Speaker 6: We are doing this kind of early. We're a little
- 1:07Speaker 6: ahead of schedule, which is nice.
- 1:08Speaker 5: And not not how it's been usually lately, So that's
- 1:12Speaker 5: nice for us.
- 1:13Speaker 1: No.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so tonight is the night of the NBA director
- 1:17Speaker 4: excuse me, the NFL Draft, and that also Game three
- 1:22Speaker 4: of the Timberwolves Nuggets playoffs.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Hell yeah, by the time you hear this, the Timberwolves
- 1:28Speaker 5: are in the second round.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Fingers crossed might be and we will have who is
- 1:35Speaker 4: who Do you think we're gonna pick at eighteen or
- 1:38Speaker 4: do you think we're going to move up or down?
- 1:41Speaker 5: I feel like we are the most like ubiquitously picked
- 1:45Speaker 5: spot in the draft.
- 1:46Speaker 1: That's that dude from Oregon that I.
- 1:48Speaker 6: Don't Yeah, Dylan Penemon, Thinnamon.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Something like that, that safety.
- 1:55Speaker 5: So everyone keeps saying that. I really haven't heard a
- 1:58Speaker 5: lot of other names.
- 1:59Speaker 4: So it's so funny because I've looked at quite a
- 2:02Speaker 4: few different mock drafts and they all say, like.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Which is the one?
- 2:06Speaker 5: Because people are so far down, like you would think
- 2:09Speaker 5: a lot of things would change potentially a by then,
- 2:12Speaker 5: but there must just be not a lot of people
- 2:14Speaker 5: need a safety, I guess.
- 2:16Speaker 6: Well, and then there's one clear safety, the Ohio state safety.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That you won't follow that far.
- 2:23Speaker 6: So yeah, yeah, it's crazy, crazy.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Times it sounds like he's good, so whatever, Yeah, I
- 2:30Speaker 5: don't see.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I haven't really paid a ton of attention this year.
- 2:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I've just looked at a lot of those things,
- 2:36Speaker 6: and I pay attention to it every year, and we're
- 2:39Speaker 6: one of the worst at drafting, So it's all for
- 2:43Speaker 6: not usually.
- 2:44Speaker 5: So I think. Yeah, I feel like most drafts are
- 2:49Speaker 5: not good either, so that probably doesn't help.
- 2:52Speaker 6: But we did have one amazing one. I think it
- 2:54Speaker 6: was twenty fifteen or something.
- 2:56Speaker 1: All of them hit.
- 2:58Speaker 6: It was crazy, Yeah, which is fun. That's fun when
- 3:01Speaker 6: that happens like that.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I feel like we're pretty good in the later parts
- 3:06Speaker 5: of drafts, just not early, not lately.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That was the I've gone crazy for sure. Yeah, but
- 3:15Speaker 1: also a bunch of that was injury. I mean, it's
- 3:16Speaker 1: such a crapshoot. Who knows, who knows? Who knows?
- 3:20Speaker 4: But yeah, I'm rocking my Viking's hat Timberwolf shirt and
- 3:24Speaker 4: you're rocking some Gaga for Gossling stuff.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I love that shirt. It's really fun. That works, like
- 3:33Speaker 1: the head.
- 3:33Speaker 5: They're gray, Heather Gray, very nice. It's nice.
- 3:39Speaker 1: She's very nice. There's someone called Heather Gray probably somewhere.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I suppose she looks good on you, buddy, she does,
- 3:45Speaker 1: she does.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Crumpled up on my floor.
- 3:50Speaker 6: Oh god, oh, crumpled up.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You know it's his shirt. It's a shirt. What are
- 3:55Speaker 1: we talking about? What did you think?
- 3:57Speaker 6: I don't know, Well, you just have you seen any
- 4:01Speaker 6: good movies recently?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Buddy?
- 4:03Speaker 5: I saw a very silly movie. This is a film
- 4:06Speaker 5: from this year called Pizza Movie. Have you seen anything
- 4:09Speaker 5: about this?
- 4:11Speaker 1: I just saw.
- 4:11Speaker 6: It's the kid from Stranger Things, right, it.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Is, Yeah, what is Geta? What is his name?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Gatton Marraso Madrazo.
- 4:21Speaker 5: This is a Hulu movie. It is streaming now. It
- 4:25Speaker 5: came out April third, I think so. I saw pretty
- 4:28Speaker 5: quick after it came out. I was sort of gathering
- 4:31Speaker 5: there's a lot of folks from the SNL world, but
- 4:35Speaker 5: they I think are like writers and stuff that are
- 4:38Speaker 5: part of this. I haven't watched a lot of SNL lately,
- 4:40Speaker 5: so maybe they're actors.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:43Speaker 5: This movie, though, was very silly, very trippy, very like
- 4:49Speaker 5: stoner comedy. It's about these college kids who are trying to,
- 4:55Speaker 5: you know, just have a good time and overcome some
- 4:57Speaker 5: like they've had kind of a rough week or whatever,
- 5:01Speaker 5: and they want to go get their pizza delivery and
- 5:05Speaker 5: a lot of stuff happens on the way.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And it's that's that's one of the movies about the.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Movies about them trying to go get a pizza delivery
- 5:15Speaker 5: and they may have taken some various substances, but yeah,
- 5:20Speaker 5: it's super silly. It's it's really out there. But I
- 5:23Speaker 5: had a really good time. I thought it was really funny,
- 5:26Speaker 5: very interesting, not like super similar to anything else I've seen,
- 5:30Speaker 5: which is always kind of fun.
- 5:32Speaker 1: That Yeah, it was just kind of off the wall
- 5:34Speaker 1: and crazy and went all over the place. I had
- 5:37Speaker 1: a really good time.
- 5:38Speaker 5: It was fun.
- 5:39Speaker 4: I see that Caleb Hearing is in it, and that
- 5:41Speaker 4: dude is so fun to see him.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Not a huge part for him, but I'll watch anything
- 5:47Speaker 5: he's in because I love him. He's so funny.
- 5:49Speaker 6: And the only S and L person I'm seeing is
- 5:51Speaker 6: Sarah Sherman, who played Frankie.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Frankie but yeah, yeah, the writer are both. So it's
- 6:01Speaker 5: written and directed by Nick Kocher and Brian mcleenny maybe mclaney,
- 6:08Speaker 5: and they both have an SNL on their on their
- 6:12Speaker 5: credits as writers writers riots for that. So that's cool
- 6:17Speaker 5: neat And it was definitely funny, and yeah, it was
- 6:20Speaker 5: wild though there was a bunch of people I didn't
- 6:22Speaker 5: know in it, which is always kind of fun and
- 6:24Speaker 5: felt very like indie and silly and fun. So yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 5: but I recommend it if you're looking for something weird
- 6:32Speaker 5: and silly.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Uh, this is gonna be a good movie. Free, You're
- 6:36Speaker 1: gonna like it. I love really think of any cops really,
- 6:39Speaker 1: so sure.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Well, as long as we're sticking with weird movies, I
- 6:44Speaker 6: saw a weird movie.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It's not silly and fun.
- 6:48Speaker 4: It's extremely violent and uh not fun.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Was Wait, that's not the title. Hey, that's not it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That's not it.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I watched an insane revenge film that you saw a
- 7:02Speaker 4: few years back. I think you saw it in the theater,
- 7:06Speaker 4: but I saw it on Prime today and it is
- 7:09Speaker 4: called Sisu.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that movie, which has since had.
- 7:15Speaker 5: A sequel, I believe, yes, which I didn't I haven't seen.
- 7:19Speaker 5: I think Road to Revenge is what the sequels called
- 7:21Speaker 5: The Fireman something like that.
- 7:24Speaker 6: But dude, this insane revenge film. This guy is one
- 7:28Speaker 6: of the biggest badasses of all time. It's a Finnish film,
- 7:34Speaker 6: but they do speak in English throughout.
- 7:38Speaker 1: All of it.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I liked that. But it's this old Finnish soldier.
- 7:44Speaker 6: He's being hunted by Nazis. It's set during the end
- 7:46Speaker 6: of World War Two, and he just kicks ass the
- 7:50Speaker 6: entire time. Some really ridiculous, over the top things happened.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Nobody could survive. Uh, slightly violent stuff.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You're not so violent.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I'm just being silly.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It's crazy like it is over the top.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Way over the top, but I feel like that makes
- 8:08Speaker 4: it more fun. He's this kind of legend figure. I
- 8:12Speaker 4: had fun with it. If you're not into violence, deer
- 8:15Speaker 4: very clear, yes, yeah, but if you know, if you
- 8:19Speaker 4: go in knowing that and you like those kinds of movies,
- 8:22Speaker 4: this one's really fun.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Yeah. It's kind of like John WICKI but even I
- 8:29Speaker 5: guess like John Wick is a lot of bodies going down,
- 8:33Speaker 5: but it's usually just like a quick.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Bullet where these are much more violent, lots of blood
- 8:39Speaker 4: and craziness.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And there's just so much money. There is a lot
- 8:44Speaker 1: of fun, right, it's very dirty.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Just when you think he's finished, he's just getting started.
- 8:50Speaker 5: So yeah, I liked it.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was fun.
- 8:59Speaker 5: This was a good time and shot kind of interestingly
- 9:01Speaker 5: in parts, like yeah, very stylized is yep.
- 9:07Speaker 1: But yeah, that's on Prime.
- 9:08Speaker 6: You can if you have a subscription to that, you
- 9:10Speaker 6: can check it out. What have you been streaming?
- 9:14Speaker 1: This is also on Prime now.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I have full disclosure, only seen one episode, but it
- 9:20Speaker 5: was weird and fun. I saw Jerry Duty Presents Company Retreat,
- 9:25Speaker 5: the new one.
- 9:26Speaker 1: The new one.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Did they get like a star like they did with
- 9:30Speaker 6: James Morriston or is it?
- 9:32Speaker 1: No?
- 9:33Speaker 5: It is different than that, although and actually there's only
- 9:36Speaker 5: one gal that I recognize from other projects. Okay, do
- 9:40Speaker 5: you remember Veep Jonah's uh it's like his half sister
- 9:46Speaker 5: slash girlfriend that remember the So in the later seasons
- 9:54Speaker 5: when he is like running for office himself, there's a
- 9:57Speaker 5: galleys like his this is a girlfriend slash fiance. But
- 10:01Speaker 5: they're like also half.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Brother and sister, and that's like a whole plot point.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It's very silly.
- 10:06Speaker 5: She's the only one that I recognized, and honestly only
- 10:10Speaker 5: from that, so they did go.
- 10:13Speaker 1: A little I guess, just more obscure, which.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Makes sense, dude, Like I was surprised that I recognize
- 10:21Speaker 4: some of those actors, you know the and obviously James
- 10:26Speaker 4: Marrisen was just playing a ridiculous version and you're.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Supposed to recognize him, right, So that kind of makes sense.
- 10:32Speaker 5: But yeah, this is just like the title says, it's
- 10:35Speaker 5: instead of jury duty, it is a company retreat and
- 10:38Speaker 5: this cat gets hired on as like a temp just
- 10:42Speaker 5: to help with that sort of weak or two that happens,
- 10:45Speaker 5: or maybe he's there a month, but anyways, it's a
- 10:47Speaker 5: short time that he's there and just helping out, and
- 10:51Speaker 5: the guy seems like an absolute sweetheart and it's so funny.
- 10:55Speaker 5: They seem like they're going to put him through the
- 10:56Speaker 5: ropes for sure, so nice. It's very interesting thing. I'm
- 11:02Speaker 5: like curious to see if they can recapture the magic
- 11:06Speaker 5: again because that was such a wild experience that first
- 11:09Speaker 5: one that I'm just not sure, but it'll be interesting
- 11:12Speaker 5: to see for sure.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So cool Maneah, I'm looking forward to watching more. I
- 11:16Speaker 1: only was able to catch the first, but it was
- 11:19Speaker 1: a good time for sure.
- 11:20Speaker 5: And sweet. This one's kind of fun because they like
- 11:24Speaker 5: it's similar to the first one. They say like, oh,
- 11:27Speaker 5: if you take this job, you're going to be part
- 11:28Speaker 5: of a documentary and.
- 11:29Speaker 1: All that stuff.
- 11:30Speaker 5: So I feel like that's a nice way to get
- 11:32Speaker 5: past that awkwardness right away.
- 11:34Speaker 1: But sure, yeah, it's it's super interesting.
- 11:37Speaker 5: I don't know, he reacts better to situations even so
- 11:41Speaker 5: far than I would for sure, like i'd just be like,
- 11:43Speaker 5: what the hell are you guys doing?
- 11:46Speaker 4: Yeah, well, they completely hit gold with their struck gold
- 11:50Speaker 4: with the first guy, man, he was so great.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They have a lot to live up. What a men
- 11:54Speaker 1: she was. This guy does seem super nice and cool,
- 11:56Speaker 1: so we'll see. But yeah, so that's what I've been watching.
- 12:00Speaker 1: What have you been stymak?
- 12:02Speaker 4: I talked about this in the last episode, but I
- 12:03Speaker 4: finished DTF. Saint louis quite a roller coaster man. The
- 12:10Speaker 4: relationships between Jason Bateman and Linda Cardellini and David Harbor,
- 12:15Speaker 4: they're just super out there. Again, this is kind of
- 12:18Speaker 4: a dark comedy mystery. But David Harbor is just lovely
- 12:22Speaker 4: in it. I mentioned that last episode. He's just wonderful.
- 12:26Speaker 4: And then there's Richard Jenkins. He's he's pretty funny as
- 12:29Speaker 4: the detective, kind of a square guy, and he's hearing
- 12:34Speaker 4: all this information.
- 12:35Speaker 1: She's like, what what some people doing?
- 12:38Speaker 4: But it really it brings home the point that everyone's
- 12:40Speaker 4: going through something and no matter how normal someone seems,
- 12:45Speaker 4: you know, everybody's pretty complex and they got to deal
- 12:48Speaker 4: with their stuff and some people might be into some
- 12:51Speaker 4: really kinky stuff. You just never know, even if they're
- 12:54Speaker 4: out in the burbs.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So what are you trying to tell us? Nothing?
- 12:58Speaker 5: Nothing? Shut up? Don't you see my clown?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Choose right, never mind, I've said too much.
- 13:05Speaker 4: But dude, yeah, it ended in a very surprising way
- 13:08Speaker 4: way that I was not expecting.
- 13:09Speaker 1: That's fun. So we had some twisties. Do you think
- 13:12Speaker 1: there's going to be more? No, it's like a one time.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I think it's a one and that's kind of fun though.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I kind of like those sometimes just to be like
- 13:21Speaker 1: to tell your story and then, dude, I love those.
- 13:24Speaker 6: It's like task, they're gonna have another task, like it's
- 13:27Speaker 6: that stuff.
- 13:28Speaker 1: But I enjoyed it.
- 13:29Speaker 6: I'm not sure if it's for everyone, just.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Like tonally or even just the plot, but I really
- 13:37Speaker 4: enjoyed it just for David Harbor alone.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you said he's like a really sweet guy in
- 13:42Speaker 5: this right.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a really fun character for him. That's cool.
- 13:46Speaker 5: I like that.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it was cool, very nice.
- 13:48Speaker 5: I have to check that out. That sounds fun.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I mean, ah, well, very cool.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Do you think we should do for you? Plugger rooms?
- 13:54Speaker 1: Plug it please?

- 14:50Speaker 4: Extended version of every episode we put out, we'll do
- 14:53Speaker 4: a top five draft that pertains to the movie we're
- 14:55Speaker 4: talking about. And for this one, we're gonna pick our
- 14:58Speaker 4: top five favorite.
- 15:01Speaker 1: LA movies.
- 15:02Speaker 5: All Right, every time we say one of those, I'm liked,
- 15:05Speaker 5: and I remember the right thing, and then I do and.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Im and then you do and you totally nail it.
- 15:11Speaker 5: There's a lot, as it turns out, of La movies. Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 5: it works out to our behalf on this, so that'll
- 15:17Speaker 5: be fun.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, we will look forward to that.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Right.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Ah.
- 15:21Speaker 5: We're here today to talk a little more goga for
- 15:24Speaker 5: Gosling here, uh, and we're here to talk the nice guys.
- 15:28Speaker 5: And I just realized in my outline I put the
- 15:30Speaker 5: new guys.
- 15:31Speaker 1: That's not what it's called. That's not it.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And this is our last one for the Gaga. We've
- 15:35Speaker 4: done five Gosling films in a row.
- 15:38Speaker 1: It doesn't feel like enough. If I'm honest, I feel like.
- 15:41Speaker 6: We should just keep going. Let's just do the whole film, all.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Get into it.
- 15:44Speaker 1: What else do we even have? I don't never mind,
- 15:46Speaker 1: we don't need to go through who knows.
- 15:48Speaker 5: But we'll surely do probably almost every film he does
- 15:52Speaker 5: going forward.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So he's just on fire. Yeah.
- 15:57Speaker 5: So, but got got for Gosling. So fun and we're
- 16:00Speaker 5: ending with just such a great time, and we're bringing
- 16:03Speaker 5: two of our all time favorites back for this one.
- 16:06Speaker 1: They were veried. They're not new guys. They're not new,
- 16:08Speaker 1: they're not new, but they're they're not that nice either.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It doesn't work.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Handsome, they got that smell really good. They're hung like mosquitoes,
- 16:20Speaker 5: which is nice. Oh god, it really went zero to
- 16:25Speaker 5: mosquito pep.
- 16:26Speaker 1: All right, well, let's welcome back when you know me
- 16:29Speaker 1: love them.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Let's give it up for Benny Ellen and Adam Renegade Wilson.
- 16:33Speaker 6: What's up, guys, Hello, Hello.
- 16:38Speaker 5: From.
- 16:40Speaker 1: A beautiful It's Benny.
- 16:43Speaker 7: In the Gate, Benny in the Gate, Penny and the
- 16:46Speaker 7: Gate in the morning.
- 16:48Speaker 1: W three, hell it. You guys would have a great
- 16:52Speaker 1: radio program. I sure would.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Just like we're here in Brooklyn and we're only going
- 16:57Speaker 5: to talk vikings.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Out.
- 17:00Speaker 7: We're only going to talk sports and movies. And speaking
- 17:03Speaker 7: of audience, Oh, this is like the greatest night of
- 17:06Speaker 7: all of our lives. It's true, for those of you
- 17:09Speaker 7: at home who don't know, we love movies and probably
- 17:12Speaker 7: equally we love sports, and tonight is yeah, the triumvirate
- 17:17Speaker 7: of terror, Yes, the trifecta of power.
- 17:21Speaker 1: We got. We got We've got pod of one of
- 17:23Speaker 1: the greatest films ever made. Yep.
- 17:26Speaker 7: We got Timberwolves Playoffs game Trace, and we got the
- 17:30Speaker 7: NFL Draft Round one yep.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Yeah, hopefully we're not eliminated by the time this comes out, no, incause.
- 17:39Speaker 1: That would sound really depressing.
- 17:41Speaker 7: I know, no way, baby, whatever, We're wild and Teables
- 17:46Speaker 7: are still in it right now when this comes out,
- 17:48Speaker 7: hell yeah.
- 17:49Speaker 6: And the Twins are playing them minute tonight.
- 17:51Speaker 4: And I wanted to go yesterday, but it was like
- 17:55Speaker 4: forty degrees that first pitch. I was like, yeah, I
- 17:58Speaker 4: think I'll pass.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not fun.
- 18:00Speaker 4: They broke their their twelve game losing streak against US.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I texted.
- 18:03Speaker 7: I texted my buddy who's a diehard Mets fan today
- 18:06Speaker 7: and I was like, well, you can always count on
- 18:08Speaker 7: Minnesota sports to help me out to get to make
- 18:13Speaker 7: to write your team.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Yeah, down to any competition.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 7: I wanted to go last night too, but I was
- 18:20Speaker 7: doing a show with two time Academy Award winner Jane Fonda.
- 18:24Speaker 5: Oh my god, how was it.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 18:28Speaker 7: She's I feel like she's gonna outlive us all and
- 18:31Speaker 7: she's about to be eighty nine.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Eighty nine.
- 18:34Speaker 7: Bro, that's wild eighty nine, and she's just like fully
- 18:37Speaker 7: with it. She like stood the whole show. She was
- 18:41Speaker 7: like the narrator, I know, no way, it's in great shape.
- 18:45Speaker 1: It's crazy for her. That's cool. That's super fun.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Man, where was that at?
- 18:51Speaker 1: It was that?
- 18:52Speaker 7: It's called BAM. It's the Brooklyn Academy of Music. But
- 18:55Speaker 7: it's like a massive They have a it's like a
- 18:59Speaker 7: huge arts complex and they have a massive, like fifteen
- 19:04Speaker 7: hundred seat theater that's gorgeous. Then they have like a
- 19:08Speaker 7: movie like a smaller like four movie theaters set up,
- 19:13Speaker 7: and they have a lot of rehearsal spaces and they
- 19:16Speaker 7: do there's like a music school and it's a whole thing.
- 19:19Speaker 6: So is this thing like something that you'll do again
- 19:22Speaker 6: at some point or they've.
- 19:24Speaker 7: Been working it. They've been working on it for years.
- 19:26Speaker 7: It's kind of a weird it's about like climate change
- 19:29Speaker 7: and it's a little like hippy dippy.
- 19:32Speaker 1: But the music's very cool.
- 19:34Speaker 7: And I don't know, it's one of those it's like
- 19:36Speaker 7: a narrator and then sort of scenes and then songs.
- 19:40Speaker 1: So I don't really know.
- 19:41Speaker 7: I don't know what you would do with it, but
- 19:43Speaker 7: right sure, I think they want to like maybe have
- 19:46Speaker 7: it go to like towns. They did a small tour
- 19:50Speaker 7: earlier this year, but I was doing Bull Durham. I
- 19:53Speaker 7: couldn't Joe, But I don't know. It's kind of a
- 19:56Speaker 7: weird thing. It's cool, but it couldn't.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It's not. It's like somewhere between a.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Concert and a yeah music, that would be hard to
- 20:05Speaker 7: like figure out where it almost it would almost be
- 20:07Speaker 7: cool if it was like animated maybe or something.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I don't know. Oh, that's a fun idea whatever, gene fun. Yeah,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's cool.
- 20:14Speaker 6: Man legend, legendary legend.
- 20:17Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 20:19Speaker 5: You also, as of right now, when people are hearing this,
- 20:21Speaker 5: you last week were just on another episode of SVU,
- 20:25Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 20:26Speaker 7: Law and Order? SVU Finally Doom Doom finally made it to.
- 20:31Speaker 5: The only it only took twenty seven seasons and twenty
- 20:35Speaker 5: episodes for you to get on to get that.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Show really right.
- 20:38Speaker 7: It's funny because I've been on I've been on numerous
- 20:40Speaker 7: of the Dick Wolf shows right right, because the guy,
- 20:44Speaker 7: you know, he does all the He's done every Law
- 20:47Speaker 7: and Order, he does all the Chicago Fire med PD
- 20:51Speaker 7: does all the lbis everything procedural. I've been I've been
- 20:56Speaker 7: on a bunch of his shows. I've never been on
- 20:58Speaker 7: the flagship and I got to do.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Some do some scans with iced tea. Dude, that's so fun.
- 21:07Speaker 1: How was it amazing. It was great. He sat there
- 21:10Speaker 1: and he bitched about Donald Trump for for quite a while.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Love it, love it, and then yeah, and then they
- 21:17Speaker 7: they came around we were waiting to shoot, and they
- 21:19Speaker 7: were like, do you guys want anything to drink? And
- 21:21Speaker 7: I was like, hey, you know, I have like a
- 21:23Speaker 7: Coke zero and he was like ice, you want the usual?
- 21:25Speaker 7: And he's like, yeah, yeah, what do you think He
- 21:27Speaker 7: came back with no, I'm not my apparol sprits, you
- 21:32Speaker 7: know what. That would have been great bugs. Nope, came
- 21:34Speaker 7: back with an iced tea. And I was like, it's
- 21:38Speaker 7: not just a bit, like he actually I said.
- 21:40Speaker 1: That, that's what I said. I was like, so that's
- 21:42Speaker 1: that's a that's not a bit. He's like, no, I
- 21:45Speaker 1: love it. I love it. I love it.
- 21:48Speaker 7: He was like he was like he was like, I
- 21:49Speaker 7: just did commercials for Raising canes and it was the day.
- 21:54Speaker 7: It was the day after me and Renegade had had
- 21:56Speaker 7: raising canes for the first time ever.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Time. It was delicious. It was good. They're so good.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Love the Texas toast. Yeah, I love it. Cane sauce
- 22:08Speaker 1: is so good. That cane sauce. It was about as
- 22:11Speaker 1: good as a chicken figure can be. I feel yeah, like,
- 22:14Speaker 1: you know, if you're gonna do one thing, you better
- 22:16Speaker 1: crush it. And they did and they do. Yeah. I
- 22:19Speaker 1: love their chicken. I can't do the cane sauce, but
- 22:21Speaker 1: I love their chicken. We were seeing the fries, weren't
- 22:24Speaker 1: weren't that amazing? But yeah they're they just were a
- 22:30Speaker 1: little a little flimsy. Yeah, my favorite.
- 22:33Speaker 7: But yeah, so you know, go on NBC dot com
- 22:36Speaker 7: and watch hell Yeah, season twenty seven, episode twenty I
- 22:41Speaker 7: love Yeah. Due season twenty seven, I was a little
- 22:44Speaker 7: sad I didn't get Marishka, but I did see her
- 22:46Speaker 7: on set and she oh fun, she gave me the
- 22:49Speaker 7: bronte and like a hello, so what's that?
- 22:53Speaker 5: But I.
- 22:56Speaker 7: Kelly, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well that's what I'm like. Every
- 23:00Speaker 7: time I'm on one of these shows, I'm like, all
- 23:02Speaker 7: of our moms.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Are going to be thrilled.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it's every time my mom's like, did you know
- 23:06Speaker 5: I'll save you the episode next time you're home.
- 23:09Speaker 7: You can walk it and you're and we're all like, yeah,
- 23:11Speaker 7: just tell me what minute he comes on. So like,
- 23:17Speaker 7: I don't even want to watch when I come on.
- 23:18Speaker 5: I'm like ugh, I want to see it. But yeah, yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 5: well very fun. What do you guys think?
- 23:29Speaker 1: Shall we start talking about this movie?
- 23:30Speaker 5: It's time to talk a little nice guys.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yea absolutely rob.
- 23:35Speaker 5: You want to get to start with those? Sure?
- 23:38Speaker 6: Holland March is a down on his luck Private Eye
- 23:41Speaker 6: nineteen seventy seven loss Angelus Jackson. Heally is a hired
- 23:45Speaker 6: and forrest who hurts people for a living. Fate turns
- 23:49Speaker 6: them into unlikely partners. After a young woman named Amelia
- 23:52Speaker 6: mysteriously disappears, Heally in March soon learn the hard way
- 23:57Speaker 6: that some dangerous people are also looking for Amelia. Their
- 24:01Speaker 6: investigation takes them to dark places, as anyone else who
- 24:04Speaker 6: gets involved in the case seems.
- 24:06Speaker 1: To wind up dead. Nice, nice, good job, job, good job.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Let's go to Rotten Smiles and hear what they have today.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Critics had this coming in in a rock solid ninety
- 24:18Speaker 5: one percent.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Ninety one. Bro, that's high. That is high. That's I
- 24:22Speaker 1: mean great.
- 24:24Speaker 4: But then yeah, but then you just see the viewers
- 24:27Speaker 4: are at like seventy nine though.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Yeah, audience at seventy nine. I'm surprised by both those numbers.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I thought that was weird. Yeah, I thought that would
- 24:34Speaker 1: have been switched flipsy phloppsi. I thought same, But usually
- 24:37Speaker 1: when we do these kind of things it's the other way. Yep.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I feel like I agree. But more important than what
- 24:43Speaker 1: they think is what we think. So sure we get
- 24:45Speaker 1: into our hot take hot take.
- 24:46Speaker 5: Oh ouch, that's a hot take.
- 24:50Speaker 7: That's a hot myself. I just said that live. That
- 24:56Speaker 7: was a live impromp.
- 24:59Speaker 5: You actually burn yourself.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Classically trained right here, Jane Fonda, are you okay?
- 25:07Speaker 4: She was pretty impressed.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Icy, that was wonderful. I can go first on this one.
- 25:28Speaker 5: I think this movie is super, super funny. I have
- 25:31Speaker 5: a great time watching it. I liked it immediately when
- 25:34Speaker 5: it came out, uh, and didn't know that everyone else
- 25:37Speaker 5: loved it, If I'm completely honest, For some reason, I
- 25:40Speaker 5: wasn't sure about that.
- 25:42Speaker 7: Has anyone responded to an email or text faster than
- 25:46Speaker 7: me and renegade when.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You guys that were.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Certainly not in the affirmative, like I've had plenty of
- 25:54Speaker 5: nose that have come.
- 25:56Speaker 7: I'm not talking about I'm not talking about not talking
- 25:58Speaker 7: about your Tinder bro.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I didn't even do anything.
- 26:03Speaker 5: You don't have to me to say no.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Got She swiped left you're calling me mom, stop it.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't know people loved this movie so much,
- 26:18Speaker 5: But I really think it's super fun and this rewatch
- 26:22Speaker 5: continue to be super fun.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Uh.
- 26:24Speaker 5: The soundtrack and the score are both super cool. It's
- 26:28Speaker 5: very vibe, even right from that first you know, first
- 26:32Speaker 5: shot Stone so the greatest choice. It's just it's just
- 26:39Speaker 5: the best. It's a vibe the whole way through. It
- 26:41Speaker 5: sort of like is a more fun to me. It's
- 26:44Speaker 5: a more fun spin on, like sort of that noir
- 26:47Speaker 5: kind of vibe, detective noir kind of stuff with all
- 26:51Speaker 5: of the like seriousness, I guess. But yeah, I just
- 26:55Speaker 5: think it's super fun. There's great lines in this. The
- 26:58Speaker 5: two leads have great mu Street together and then like
- 27:02Speaker 5: pass that off with them both like kind of being
- 27:04Speaker 5: spur ups in their own way of course, and then
- 27:07Speaker 5: the interactions with the daughter, and then you know the
- 27:10Speaker 5: damsel who's not really in distress but also is kind
- 27:14Speaker 5: of I just think this movie is super, super fun.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It's a great vibe. I'm really happy we're here to
- 27:21Speaker 1: talk about it. And I think my hottest take is that.
- 27:26Speaker 5: This movie is pretty great and stuff.
- 27:30Speaker 7: Hugues, what did I tell you don't say and stuff,
- 27:32Speaker 7: just say, this movie is pretty great.
- 27:34Speaker 1: This movie is pretty great. I didn't catch that.
- 27:38Speaker 5: I thought no one did, and I got scared.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I remember my first podcast.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Cool, I don't know why he did that.
- 27:52Speaker 1: That was the hottest take I could do. Bits shut up.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I love it very, very good.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I remember seeing this in the theater and thinking it
- 28:09Speaker 4: was pretty good. I'd always heard that people really love
- 28:12Speaker 4: this movie, so I was excited to watch it again
- 28:14Speaker 4: with some fresh eyes and see if I liked it more,
- 28:18Speaker 4: and I definitely did. The writing by Shane Black is awesome.
- 28:22Speaker 4: I've always loved his dialogue and just how he's able
- 28:26Speaker 4: to make these buddy movies so much fun. He created
- 28:29Speaker 4: a couple really fun characters, got two awesome actors and
- 28:34Speaker 4: Ryan Gosling and Russell Crow to play them, and like
- 28:37Speaker 4: you said, the chemistry between them just makes the movie.
- 28:39Speaker 4: It's awesome, and I really enjoyed the relationship between Gosling
- 28:44Speaker 4: and his daughter. I did not realize Margaret Qualley was
- 28:48Speaker 4: in this. This was before she was on my radar
- 28:50Speaker 4: at all, so when she popped up, I was like, WHOA,
- 28:53Speaker 4: she's like a really big deal. But yeah, pretty much
- 28:58Speaker 4: what you said. I don't have a ton to say.
- 29:00Speaker 4: It's a very very good time. I'm glad I had
- 29:03Speaker 4: the excuse to rewatch.
- 29:05Speaker 6: It my hot take.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I kind of always compared this to Kiss Kiss.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Bang Bang, and if I'm being honest, I like kiss
- 29:15Speaker 6: Kiss Bang Bang more.
- 29:16Speaker 1: That's my hottest take.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Hot take the opposite way. But I said this first,
- 29:21Speaker 5: so maybe that's why.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I love Kiss Kiss Banks more than most. Kissan
- 29:28Speaker 1: Bang is great to kind of blew me away when
- 29:31Speaker 1: I saw it also.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Yeah, so we need to compare it, but for sure
- 29:36Speaker 4: I think it's interesting though.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that's my hottest hot take hot all right, I
- 29:41Speaker 1: guess who wants to go first?
- 29:46Speaker 4: Uh, this isn't really a hot take, but kind of
- 29:50Speaker 4: you kind of touched on this. But I think this
- 29:53Speaker 4: is the most underappreciated movie of the century.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Wow.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm not I'm saying I'm not saying underrated
- 30:01Speaker 4: because like we said, it's very highly rated. Try m
- 30:05Speaker 4: dB is at seven point four with over four hundred
- 30:08Speaker 4: thousand votes, which is pretty hot solid. I don't really
- 30:12Speaker 4: think that, but the amount of people that I bring
- 30:16Speaker 4: this movie up to that have not seen it, right, really,
- 30:19Speaker 4: but it might be like the number one movie like.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Well, it didn't do that well financially.
- 30:26Speaker 4: No, I saw that, yeah, which you know again it
- 30:29Speaker 4: does have a cult following, yet it didn't do well
- 30:32Speaker 4: at the box office. We can maybe talk later, and
- 30:34Speaker 4: I'm causing it's kind of brought it up to Brodie
- 30:37Speaker 4: Hilary stuff. But I just I don't get why this
- 30:40Speaker 4: movie isn't more mainstream.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Yea.
- 30:44Speaker 4: My only theory was, is there something wrong with the title.
- 30:49Speaker 7: This is funny this, this is this is why I,
- 30:51Speaker 7: me and Rennege do this together because this is duve
- 30:54Speaker 7: teeling right into my hot take.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Also, I love it funny.
- 30:57Speaker 5: It must not be a great title because I screwed
- 30:59Speaker 5: up just two minutes ago.
- 31:02Speaker 6: The New Guys I haven't written down as the New Guys.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Well, we've already established it his first podcast.
- 31:07Speaker 7: Yeah great, Well to his point, I mean part well,
- 31:15Speaker 7: it's my hot take. Well, my my hot hot take
- 31:18Speaker 7: is I think this is Ryan Goslig's best performance.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Whoa that I have not seen Project til Mary yet.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Me and Gate are going tomorrow, sorry, immediately after.
- 31:30Speaker 1: That happens, please, because I want to tell you me too,
- 31:33Speaker 1: me too.
- 31:36Speaker 7: That was one part of my hot take. Love that,
- 31:39Speaker 7: but But to dovetail off of what Gaye just said,
- 31:42Speaker 7: I think this movie, one of its quote unquote flaws,
- 31:49Speaker 7: is also why we all love it, because I think
- 31:52Speaker 7: maybe a flaws, it maybe doesn't know what it wants
- 31:55Speaker 7: to be exactly sure, But I also think why we
- 31:59Speaker 7: love it, I think this movie is like numerous genres
- 32:02Speaker 7: at once. It's a buddy cop movie, it's like a
- 32:05Speaker 7: period film, it's a it's a crime newar like old
- 32:10Speaker 7: school crime NEWAR, but like a new school comedy. Yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 7: sort of a father daughter family, a lot of heart movie.
- 32:19Speaker 7: It just has a lot going on. So I think
- 32:22Speaker 7: I think it's for some people maybe it's hard to understand,
- 32:27Speaker 7: but that's why I think we all love it, because
- 32:29Speaker 7: I think it's got so much going on and I
- 32:32Speaker 7: and I don't know. I mean, but to your point, like,
- 32:34Speaker 7: I don't know why more people don't know about either.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Because the people I see it that once, once they
- 32:39Speaker 4: actually have seen it, then they love it.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard someone say they
- 32:43Speaker 4: don't like it.
- 32:43Speaker 1: No, there's nothing that I don't love.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Like people just don't see it.
- 32:47Speaker 7: But you know, I think of it like I think
- 32:50Speaker 7: of it feels almost like a Cohen Brothers movie to me,
- 32:53Speaker 7: like like a Lebowski, you know kind of a or
- 32:57Speaker 7: even Yeah, just it's so it's such a unicorny kind
- 33:02Speaker 7: of movie because it's so it's just so fun and
- 33:05Speaker 7: interesting and and goofy, but also just has so much
- 33:09Speaker 7: going on. I don't know, there's not again like kiss
- 33:12Speaker 7: kiss bang bang there there's nothing like them, Like I
- 33:16Speaker 7: can't think of other movies that are like this that
- 33:19Speaker 7: has all this fun stuff going on, because even Shane
- 33:21Speaker 7: Black's older stuff.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I mean, Shane Black is just the go to the
- 33:25Speaker 4: buddy count right.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So good dude, he really is.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Did you guys see the most recent one, the play
- 33:31Speaker 6: Dirty not yet? Skip it because you said I.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Love Shane Black, I love every other thing, and that
- 33:40Speaker 4: one I was super excited. I also had super high
- 33:43Speaker 4: expectations going into it. Yeah, that might have had something
- 33:47Speaker 4: to do with it. But but yeah, this one's great.
- 33:51Speaker 7: I mean, this is another one I would love to
- 33:53Speaker 7: see the script because Gosling is just and I'll go back,
- 33:56Speaker 7: I'll go back to my original hot take. I think
- 33:58Speaker 7: this is Gosling's best performance. Again, I haven't seen Projects
- 34:01Speaker 7: Hill Mary, but it was funny when Barbie came out
- 34:04Speaker 7: and people were like, oh, no, Gossling was funny, and
- 34:07Speaker 7: I was like, uh, Like he is, as Gatee said
- 34:13Speaker 7: earlier today, like he is.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Cooking in every scene.
- 34:18Speaker 4: He doesn't stop the entire like I just usually just
- 34:22Speaker 4: kind of keep my eyes on him, and he just
- 34:25Speaker 4: he goes for the entire film. It doesn't matter if
- 34:28Speaker 4: he's speaking or not, like like his facial expressions, like
- 34:32Speaker 4: he's just going for the entire time.
- 34:34Speaker 7: Like this is one of the great comedic Like I
- 34:36Speaker 7: would put this up against so many things over the years.
- 34:40Speaker 1: He is unreal what he's doing.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Step we're stepping on the I know, I.
- 34:48Speaker 1: You know, I think he he was.
- 34:50Speaker 7: He's such an interesting actor because he made such you know,
- 34:54Speaker 7: interesting choices.
- 34:55Speaker 1: He could have been in Marvel, he could have done
- 34:57Speaker 1: all that.
- 34:58Speaker 4: And but to what better said, I do remember the
- 35:00Speaker 4: Barbie thing when yeah, when that came out and people
- 35:03Speaker 4: were just so blown away by him, and it's like, well,
- 35:05Speaker 4: you clearly have seen the nice guys. Yeah, and I
- 35:09Speaker 4: think I always I've always thought he was funny, but man,
- 35:12Speaker 4: he is next level in.
- 35:13Speaker 1: This movie for sure.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Well that's a good point.
- 35:17Speaker 6: I think we should just go right into the next
- 35:19Speaker 6: next segment here, and let's go and talk about our
- 35:23Speaker 6: favorite acting performance.
- 35:24Speaker 1: And let's choose the dude.
- 35:26Speaker 8: I'm the dude, so that's what you call me, you
- 35:28Speaker 8: know that, or his dude or duder or you know
- 35:34Speaker 8: eldudo reno if you're not into the whole brevity.
- 35:37Speaker 7: Thing, the dude, okay, and the Tucci.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. Please, No, is that who you're gonna pick? Benny,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I assume.
- 35:48Speaker 7: I mean, look, we should definitely talk about Russell Crown
- 35:51Speaker 7: that too, because that's a fule other conversation with it.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I mean, I'll just keep it short. I mean, I
- 35:56Speaker 1: really do.
- 35:58Speaker 7: Sam's seeing Project Hill Maria. Like I always love Gosling always.
- 36:03Speaker 7: I think he's just so good at pretty much everything.
- 36:06Speaker 7: He's becoming one of my favorites. And I think he's
- 36:09Speaker 7: one of those actors that, like, you know, I think
- 36:12Speaker 7: he can just have good chemistry with anyone. Yeah, like
- 36:15Speaker 7: even even him, like historically surly Harrison Ford when they
- 36:19Speaker 7: did Blade Runner. Yeah, I saw so many interviews with
- 36:23Speaker 7: them where they're just like you can just tell it.
- 36:25Speaker 7: Harrison Ford just loves him. I just think he's one
- 36:28Speaker 7: of those guys. Just on set. He's just the best
- 36:31Speaker 7: and he's so good, So I don't know, I mean
- 36:33Speaker 7: it's Gosling someone else.
- 36:35Speaker 4: You guys are had a little gozzling run here, Gosling.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I got for gasoling.
- 36:43Speaker 4: Sure mine is also Gosling too, uh And I looked
- 36:49Speaker 4: it up, like, I honestly do think he could have
- 36:51Speaker 4: been nominated for an Oscar for this. I mean I
- 36:53Speaker 4: love that, but as you noticed, this year he was
- 36:57Speaker 4: nominated for an Oscar for La La Land.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Right, yeah, it's the same year. Yeah, wow, he is this.
- 37:07Speaker 4: You know, the Academy doesn't reward.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Comedy, No, they don't love comedy.
- 37:12Speaker 4: But like everything he does in this movie is funny.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Yeah, like his his his.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Winks, like when he thinks he's being like loking cool
- 37:21Speaker 4: and clever and big shots.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Is right the check for ten thousand.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Dollars, We can't we can't do over the last than
- 37:28Speaker 4: five thousand winks. He's so proud himself. It's just like
- 37:34Speaker 4: everything everything he does is just so good. But yes,
- 37:38Speaker 4: Russell Crowe is incredible. Yeah, and I do love his
- 37:43Speaker 4: commitment to this. And both of these guys have said
- 37:46Speaker 4: that they would do a sequel. And I've seen that
- 37:49Speaker 4: please do it, which like just proves that both of
- 37:52Speaker 4: them love this movie, which is a rarity, especially for
- 37:58Speaker 4: some A listers, you know for sure.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I would have definitely picked Gosling as well, for
- 38:04Speaker 6: all the reasons you guys said.
- 38:05Speaker 1: He's so much fun.
- 38:06Speaker 6: Do that over the top wheezing reaction when he sees
- 38:09Speaker 6: the dead body.
- 38:11Speaker 7: God, it's so good and like that's dumb, that should
- 38:15Speaker 7: be be so dope, but it's so great.
- 38:19Speaker 1: You just oh my god.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Again you think this It's one of those where I'm like,
- 38:24Speaker 7: someone else could have done this and it still would
- 38:26Speaker 7: have been a fun movie.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But yeah, we really went for it. Yeah, it made
- 38:32Speaker 1: me left so hard.
- 38:33Speaker 5: It was that scene. And then when they're in the
- 38:35Speaker 5: elevator and you see him just vibrating, it's like.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Eye twitches a little bit.
- 38:45Speaker 5: So so good.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Well, my big one is because I there's a thing
- 38:49Speaker 7: called Comedia del arte. It's like classical like clown training,
- 38:53Speaker 7: basically like physical comedy.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Him in the toilet stall, Oh my god, it's the
- 39:00Speaker 1: funniest thing.
- 39:01Speaker 7: The magazine, a cigarette, a gun, and the door. That's
- 39:06Speaker 7: the best is like the craziest juggling of like props
- 39:10Speaker 7: and him trying to be badass, and that is like
- 39:15Speaker 7: it's like a masterclass. Like I feel like I feel
- 39:17Speaker 7: like I felt when I watched Like the Birdcage with
- 39:20Speaker 7: like Nathan, where I'm just like, this is so next
- 39:24Speaker 7: level brilliant what he's doing with all this and still
- 39:28Speaker 7: trying to be cool.
- 39:29Speaker 1: It's wild.
- 39:31Speaker 5: And then like telling him to turn away due his
- 39:37Speaker 5: high pitched scream too.
- 39:38Speaker 1: He does in a lot of his movies. Have it
- 39:41Speaker 1: written down good that scream is just and before that
- 39:45Speaker 1: even just that.
- 39:46Speaker 7: No, No, Daniel Stern in Home Alone is my favorite
- 39:51Speaker 7: man scream of all times.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Yes, that is a good one.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But Gossling is rivaling it.
- 39:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that would have been a good good specifically when
- 40:01Speaker 4: when he when he puts the transl on his face
- 40:03Speaker 4: and he just lets it rip.
- 40:05Speaker 1: It almost makes me cry because I love it so much.
- 40:07Speaker 6: I always thought that they like dubbed in a little
- 40:10Speaker 6: girl screaming. I found out that was really him.
- 40:13Speaker 1: They got our guy.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Yeah crazy, Yeah, So yeah, it's gustling for me as well.
- 40:19Speaker 5: I just think he's so and all the things he's
- 40:22Speaker 5: he's great at being silly, he's great at being so scared.
- 40:25Speaker 5: Like we said, he actually gets to be kind of
- 40:27Speaker 5: badass at a couple of points too, which is fun
- 40:30Speaker 5: and like all of it works, and you just I
- 40:32Speaker 5: don't know, I'm with you, Gaed Like I couldn't take
- 40:34Speaker 5: my eyes off of.
- 40:35Speaker 1: During this movie.
- 40:35Speaker 5: It was just perfect.
- 40:37Speaker 1: It was perfect. Yeah.
- 40:38Speaker 6: And the fact that we like him even though we
- 40:40Speaker 6: know he's kind of a at least not a great dad.
- 40:42Speaker 6: He loves her, but he's not a good dad.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Right, Well, that's it. I love his his subtle alcoholism. Yeah,
- 40:48Speaker 4: it's not really subtle, right, But like to see where
- 40:52Speaker 4: like Russell Crole comes he's supposed to bet him in
- 40:56Speaker 4: the afternoon with the suits and stuff, they pull up
- 40:58Speaker 4: and the daughters just driving. H's like, like, we're late
- 41:03Speaker 4: because we were at the bar.
- 41:08Speaker 7: He said, we should be celebrating. We got paid. We're
- 41:10Speaker 7: all having drinks.
- 41:11Speaker 1: In the afternoon. That's my besketball quote.
- 41:16Speaker 7: This is this is gonna be me and Gate are
- 41:18Speaker 7: going to say on Sundays during Vikings game.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we should be celebrating. We just scored a touchdown.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Drinking in the afternoon.
- 41:25Speaker 5: This is great, so funny.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Dang Gosly Well, Goslin, Well, Goslin's the winner. Let's let's
- 41:32Speaker 4: talk about the supporting characters, and let's pick the Tucci.
- 41:35Speaker 4: Whoa you guys mind if I start this, this is
- 41:42Speaker 4: I got this is then this to the Taylor C. Hayes,
- 41:46Speaker 4: Thanks Tom from Goodwill Hunting is the Dude Award, and
- 41:51Speaker 4: I'm giving the Tucci to chat the projection is chat.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Real name Jack Hill, Yeah, dude, which I did just
- 42:01Speaker 4: find I found literally found out like two hours ago
- 42:03Speaker 4: that he's Falcomer's son.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Same crazy when I saw Kilmer.
- 42:07Speaker 5: But yeah, right now because I didn't even look him up.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Crazy and he's great.
- 42:12Speaker 4: But it's really just I just love Gosling's irrational hate
- 42:16Speaker 4: for the character.
- 42:18Speaker 1: He hates chat.
- 42:21Speaker 4: They like read the letter at the end, like the
- 42:23Speaker 4: Burbank Hotel, So Chet's chat.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Chat hit dude, damn it. Technical difficulties.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I will say, actually sorry, I know we said
- 42:36Speaker 5: we're gonna do it a different way. But I thought
- 42:38Speaker 5: one of the Gosling's really fun like character quirks he
- 42:42Speaker 5: put into this is he really hits the last letter
- 42:45Speaker 5: of people's names. He's like, okay, Janet, all right, Janet,
- 42:49Speaker 5: and then he's like check check.
- 42:53Speaker 1: He really goes far and they cracked me up again.
- 42:56Speaker 7: And his irrational hatred of random people is especially all
- 43:01Speaker 7: his daughter's friends. Yeah, and he keeps just going, you're
- 43:04Speaker 7: going to Janets right now, I'm going to Jessica.
- 43:08Speaker 1: That's funny. But yeah, sorry for the technical difficulty. Well
- 43:13Speaker 1: we got chat for one Tucci, which everyone expected. Benny,
- 43:16Speaker 1: what are you picking aiming?
- 43:23Speaker 7: There's so many This is why earlier when I said
- 43:26Speaker 7: it was like a Coen Brothers movie to me, Like,
- 43:29Speaker 7: it is fun. All the little little characters that pop
- 43:32Speaker 7: in are so great. Like you know, what I really
- 43:37Speaker 7: love is the kid on the bike when they're kid
- 43:41Speaker 7: is so funny.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a big dick.
- 43:45Speaker 5: That kid.
- 43:45Speaker 7: I'm like, that kid just comes in, has this great scene.
- 43:49Speaker 7: I don't know who that kid is, but yeah, he crashed.
- 43:53Speaker 7: I mean, I would like to have a Russell Crowe conversation. Yeah,
- 43:57Speaker 7: this is a great time to do it. I mean,
- 43:59Speaker 7: I love I love like when actors, you know, get
- 44:04Speaker 7: older and just sort of embrace their older kind of selves.
- 44:10Speaker 7: Like you know, he was such a disciplined, like yes,
- 44:14Speaker 7: you know, kind of methody sort of hardcore actor in
- 44:19Speaker 7: the nineties into the two thousand's. Obviously at his peak
- 44:22Speaker 7: and then like for him to just be like, I'm
- 44:24Speaker 7: just going to be like older fat Russell Crow. Now
- 44:28Speaker 7: I don't care. It's great, but he's still a perfect,
- 44:31Speaker 7: like tough guy. H because what how what year was
- 44:36Speaker 7: American Gangster?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Like twelve? Maybe yeah before this, because like he got
- 44:42Speaker 1: fat pretty quick?
- 44:43Speaker 4: Well yeah, he says he put on the wait for.
- 44:49Speaker 5: The did Yeah.
- 44:50Speaker 1: He said this was the beginning of it. And then
- 44:52Speaker 1: he was like, you know, this is good. He's like,
- 44:55Speaker 1: you know what I like doing, drinking and eating a bunch.
- 44:58Speaker 1: This is way better. I'm still going to hired. Do
- 45:01Speaker 1: you gotta believe if he if that's true or not? Sure?
- 45:05Speaker 5: Yeah, because you know I do.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I do.
- 45:07Speaker 7: I do think when you're working out hard for like
- 45:09Speaker 7: fifteen years and keeping yourself, you know, you can get
- 45:13Speaker 7: you get fat pretty quick.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Like I tell people who's on purpose too? Sure me too,
- 45:18Speaker 1: telling them for telling them at for thirty years? Oh
- 45:21Speaker 1: you act no, No, I don't.
- 45:24Speaker 5: American Gangster was two thousand and seven.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Oh okay quite before?
- 45:30Speaker 4: Wow, it was that.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I didn't know that long between it either, I guess. Wow,
- 45:35Speaker 1: me too. I thought it was for sure ten eleven.
- 45:37Speaker 7: Or twelve you've got the movie right, I'll check. But yeah,
- 45:43Speaker 7: I Russell Crow such a good uh, such a good
- 45:46Speaker 7: straight man in this. Yeah yeah, really really letting Gossling
- 45:51Speaker 7: like do his thing and and just being uh yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 7: just a good good wing man but also still being
- 46:00Speaker 7: like a good leading man. He's great with the daughter.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Yeah, like you guys said earlier, like their chemistry is
- 46:09Speaker 4: it's unbelievable.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And you know, Pro's funny.
- 46:15Speaker 7: Yeah, he's you know, he's he's he's good at I
- 46:18Speaker 7: mean again, I've said this forever. I mean, this is
- 46:21Speaker 7: why the Academy, the Academy not recognizing comedy is crazy,
- 46:24Speaker 7: because it's.
- 46:25Speaker 1: The same skill set. It's just yeah, acting is acting,
- 46:29Speaker 1: and it's just the.
- 46:30Speaker 7: Only thing that changes is the the the lines and
- 46:35Speaker 7: the and the script, you know, And why the people
- 46:39Speaker 7: we all think are the funniest are the ones who
- 46:41Speaker 7: when when it's ridiculous, they just take it more seriously. Yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 7: and yeah, So I mean I just wanted to talk
- 46:48Speaker 7: about Crow because I think he's great.
- 46:50Speaker 4: In this and yeah, I love when he when he
- 46:54Speaker 4: breaks his arm and he just does it so casually
- 46:56Speaker 4: like this is something that I do and that after words,
- 47:00Speaker 4: like it didn't break a sweat and just chats up
- 47:03Speaker 4: his daughter like nothing happened to me.
- 47:06Speaker 5: Yeah you great.
- 47:11Speaker 7: Well, and it's funny too because you would think that
- 47:14Speaker 7: he would he would be like the drinker smoker, right yeah, yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 7: and he doesn't. He like doesn't really drink in the movie,
- 47:22Speaker 7: I think till like the end, well he's yeah, and they.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Sort of like are suggesting that he had a problem.
- 47:29Speaker 4: And the like, and there are gos like you're drinking against.
- 47:34Speaker 7: At least you're drinking against, you know, because Crow is
- 47:41Speaker 7: also so good at being like that person to totally
- 47:44Speaker 7: drinking and smoking and and whatever. But it's fun that,
- 47:48Speaker 7: like you said earlier, and I actually had it written
- 47:50Speaker 7: down that they're both losers for different reasons.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Right.
- 47:54Speaker 7: So his quick cut, his quick cutaway with him and
- 47:58Speaker 7: the the woman she's like, I slept with your dad.
- 48:02Speaker 7: It's such an insane five seconds and he just spits
- 48:06Speaker 7: his drink out so good.
- 48:09Speaker 5: So, I mean, you know, but like very believable as
- 48:13Speaker 5: a heavy too, you know, like a guy that can
- 48:16Speaker 5: handle himself like all that is. Yeah, it's just great.
- 48:19Speaker 7: Yeah, when he put punches that do right in the
- 48:22Speaker 7: beginning with the knuckle with the breast Knuckles on You're like, yeah,
- 48:28Speaker 7: so I just wanted to talk about Crow. There's other
- 48:30Speaker 7: people we should talk about, but go ahead.
- 48:33Speaker 6: Yeah after that, I.
- 48:35Speaker 4: Mean, Crow is definitely the Tucci for me. The kid
- 48:39Speaker 4: Andreie Rice, I thought she was pretty great. She's like,
- 48:43Speaker 4: you know, strong willed kid.
- 48:45Speaker 1: He's been in some stuff. She's been that lot of stuff.
- 48:48Speaker 1: She was in Spie All the Spider Man.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I hope she keeps doing stuff. She was in a
- 48:54Speaker 1: show called The Last Thing You Said with Jennifer Garner.
- 49:02Speaker 5: Was that interesting?
- 49:03Speaker 7: You played Jamie Lanister. But I remember that because when
- 49:08Speaker 7: I was doing that movie Reality on HBO on h
- 49:14Speaker 7: you guys, but he he my buddy who's in that
- 49:21Speaker 7: movie audition for that for that show while we were there,
- 49:25Speaker 7: and that was it was a pretty good show.
- 49:26Speaker 1: But she's great in it.
- 49:28Speaker 5: Oh I forgot.
- 49:29Speaker 1: She was in the Mean Girl's remake too, the musical one.
- 49:34Speaker 1: But yeah, she's She's.
- 49:35Speaker 6: Very good and probably the third biggest role in this.
- 49:39Speaker 5: So absolutely, yeah. I told her on too.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Uh. I really liked Margaret quality in this as well.
- 49:47Speaker 5: I know we talked about her early on that I
- 49:49Speaker 5: didn't really remember she was in this a pretty big
- 49:52Speaker 5: role too, considering we didn't know anything about her. I
- 49:56Speaker 5: thought before or after once upon a.
- 49:59Speaker 6: Time before, right, Yeah, I think once time was nineteen.
- 50:04Speaker 1: This is my first Margaret quality.
- 50:07Speaker 4: Well what about the Leftovers?
- 50:09Speaker 1: Oh, I forgot, that's early. I never watched that. She's great. Yeah,
- 50:12Speaker 1: that's the first thing I remember. I totally forgot. She
- 50:14Speaker 1: throws daughter. Yeah, cool, that was twenty fourteen. Yeah, that's
- 50:19Speaker 1: really yeah, I totally forgot. I didn't know she was.
- 50:22Speaker 1: She was like a kid kid actress.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Then yeah, she's again, she's a teenager, a teenager.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I thought she was really good in
- 50:31Speaker 1: this though.
- 50:32Speaker 5: I like that character. It's always fun to see.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Uh.
- 50:36Speaker 5: Keith David.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Yeah he doesn't have a huge part, but man, he's
- 50:41Speaker 1: fun and mister reliable though. Yeah, he's always solid.
- 50:44Speaker 5: He's so good.
- 50:46Speaker 1: We just had something about Marion here the other day. Yeah,
- 50:49Speaker 1: she's so good.
- 50:50Speaker 5: About the Frank Yeah so good.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Uh.
- 50:55Speaker 5: And and you know who had a very small part
- 50:57Speaker 5: but I really liked her was yah Ya DaCosta. I
- 51:00Speaker 5: thought she was really good as Tolly.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:03Speaker 5: I thought that was interesting, like she was kind of
- 51:05Speaker 5: flirting at first and then she like picture you know,
- 51:08Speaker 5: black hat turn a little.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Just how gossling characters into her.
- 51:14Speaker 5: It's so gross.
- 51:17Speaker 1: It's not money, it has to be don't paint her
- 51:23Speaker 1: with that.
- 51:25Speaker 5: After she threatens to kill them and she gets knocked out,
- 51:28Speaker 5: he puts a pillow on her head, gets.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Her a little pat He's like, God, that was so funny.
- 51:35Speaker 5: I thought that was so great. But I really liked her.
- 51:37Speaker 5: I thought she was really good. And then the last
- 51:40Speaker 5: one that I had written down was Hannibal Burris as.
- 51:44Speaker 6: The Killer Bee, and you can tell immediately recognized that
- 51:50Speaker 6: has to.
- 51:51Speaker 5: Be him, right, Yeah. I just thought that was pretty crazy,
- 51:54Speaker 5: and bringing back the killer Bees that he keeps talking
- 51:57Speaker 5: about was really fun.
- 52:00Speaker 7: Who's the Who's the dude who plays Blueface? I feel
- 52:05Speaker 7: like he's like trying to win an oscar in this film. Yeah,
- 52:09Speaker 7: Like he's like, I'm acting with Russell cr I gotta
- 52:12Speaker 7: kick it up a notch here, but.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I don't not like it. But he's like, really, he's
- 52:18Speaker 1: going to do his own thing. Yeah, yeah, bo.
- 52:23Speaker 4: I do love the Blueface scene, the don't over Yeah,
- 52:27Speaker 4: don't do that.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:31Speaker 6: The only other person I recognized, Oh I guess we
- 52:34Speaker 6: didn't say Kim Basinger either.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Yeah, she's good, No, we didn't call. Yeah still look
- 52:39Speaker 1: still looking great? Yep, yeah, super solid. And then uh,
- 52:44Speaker 1: Matt Boehmer, I'd recom John boy Was he in Chuck?
- 52:50Speaker 1: He was in Chuck?
- 52:51Speaker 5: Right?
- 52:51Speaker 1: No, he was in White Collar on USA. He might
- 52:56Speaker 1: have been in Chuck. So I don't know. Actually I
- 52:59Speaker 1: should say her boyfriend.
- 53:02Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a good looking guy. That's what I'm saying.
- 53:06Speaker 7: I'm saying, I don't know. You should watch Chuck.
- 53:08Speaker 5: It's really good.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Is that with Zachary Levi? Yeah, who's had a tough time,
- 53:14Speaker 1: a little problematic.
- 53:15Speaker 5: Yeahs oh she's yeah, she's something else, something else.
- 53:23Speaker 1: He wasn't he was brace there you go, But yeah,
- 53:26Speaker 1: I like that. I thought he was. He was a
- 53:28Speaker 1: cartoony in there, scary, but yeah, it was fun.
- 53:31Speaker 7: I've always wanted Matt Boehmer to play this character. There's
- 53:35Speaker 7: a book series called The Prey Series by this author
- 53:39Speaker 7: named John sanand it's kind of like kind of like
- 53:41Speaker 7: Jack Reacher.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Minnesota, right, but it's all set in Minnesota.
- 53:46Speaker 7: All the books are in Minneapolis or in Minnesota, and
- 53:50Speaker 7: I've read most of them, and I always wanted Matt
- 53:53Speaker 7: Bohmer to play Lucas Davenport love that has he.
- 53:56Speaker 5: I always thought he should have been opposite Henry cavell As,
- 54:00Speaker 5: like the what's the Bizarro or whatever, because he's similar. Yeah,
- 54:09Speaker 5: he can have the Superman, although he's probably one hundred
- 54:12Speaker 5: pounds later than Henry Casvill when but if.
- 54:16Speaker 7: You see Henry Cavill's uh, you know when he first
- 54:20Speaker 7: got cast, he's he was not true yet.
- 54:23Speaker 5: That is true. That is true.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Well, yeah, those are all the people I wrote down
- 54:27Speaker 1: right on. Well, let's move on.
- 54:29Speaker 6: Let's talk about our favorite scene, and let's choose the Dingus.
- 54:33Speaker 1: The dass is quite simple, really, Dingus, Dingus.
- 54:38Speaker 5: I can talk about my dingas all night long.
- 54:41Speaker 1: This is so hard.
- 54:44Speaker 4: We're giving to check though, right yeah, yeah, we were
- 54:49Speaker 4: just weird, just mention and the others.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Just for just the chet.
- 54:54Speaker 7: It's the chet, it's the check being in the Tucci.
- 55:00Speaker 7: We just here at Windmill Studios. We just built the
- 55:04Speaker 7: the press junket for Devilwaar's product they wanted. Uh, they're
- 55:10Speaker 7: like starting to juice up their press junkets now. Instead
- 55:13Speaker 7: of just doing it at the hotel, we we recreated
- 55:15Speaker 7: a bunch of their sets.
- 55:17Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 55:18Speaker 1: It's like a huge it's like a huge event. You
- 55:21Speaker 1: guys have to pretend like you hadn't seen it a
- 55:23Speaker 1: hundred times. You're like, what a Devilwaar's what me and
- 55:27Speaker 1: Gate had notes. When you get through those those decks,
- 55:31Speaker 1: enough you you've seen it.
- 55:32Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I love that movie.
- 55:35Speaker 4: Apparently Anne halfway so the sets looked incredible.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Yes, that was overheard.
- 55:42Speaker 7: Yeah, we recreated Miranda's whole office. We recreated the entire closet,
- 55:48Speaker 7: like the closet at the magazine. We did the front
- 55:52Speaker 7: desk reception with the runway sign and the desk.
- 55:56Speaker 1: It was crazy. That's very cool, super cool. Anyway, I
- 56:01Speaker 1: don't know why you from this movie? Uh what about it?
- 56:07Speaker 4: Uh? So I love the protest scene.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so funny protest there. That was so good
- 56:16Speaker 1: at that dude, just look at these idiots.
- 56:20Speaker 4: It's the whole thing that which one of you cock
- 56:22Speaker 4: and balls.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Want to make a But I loved that. That is
- 56:27Speaker 1: definitely one of my quotes. This is such a hard
- 56:29Speaker 1: you're to go around the room.
- 56:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I already said, like, I mean, my most memorable
- 56:35Speaker 7: thing is is the bathroom stall.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Yeah situation, because just so fun. I think it's just
- 56:40Speaker 1: like a comedy lesson. So yeah, that's the one I
- 56:42Speaker 1: have to for my top. I love that right into
- 56:45Speaker 1: the next scene though.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Actually the two of them sitting at the at
- 56:49Speaker 4: the boost, like that seems really good.
- 56:52Speaker 1: So that's true. If you put those together, that is
- 56:54Speaker 1: kind of like maybe my favorite. Like ten minutes. Yeah,
- 56:58Speaker 1: the first like half hour, it's unreal, it's solid, like
- 57:03Speaker 1: you know, it goes a little crazy towards the end,
- 57:05Speaker 1: but that's fine. Go ahead, Robbie.
- 57:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:09Speaker 4: I when they first meet, when he breaks his arm,
- 57:13Speaker 4: that's way up there for me as well, just just
- 57:15Speaker 4: for the scream alone.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Also was like it's like give me your arm and
- 57:21Speaker 1: he just goes no, no, no no, like a little kid. Yes,
- 57:26Speaker 1: so good.
- 57:29Speaker 6: But I actually wrote down like the whole party scene.
- 57:31Speaker 6: I think the whole party scene.
- 57:33Speaker 5: I have that one too.
- 57:34Speaker 1: That's a great call.
- 57:36Speaker 6: There's so much happening in that. There's free drinks at
- 57:39Speaker 6: the bar, so we.
- 57:40Speaker 5: Know what he's doing immediately.
- 57:43Speaker 6: Immediately he's swimming with the mermaids, kind.
- 57:47Speaker 7: Of a little kind of a little bad boys going
- 57:49Speaker 7: on to when they separate in the club, Oh yeah, totally,
- 57:53Speaker 7: and they're like and then what is the line he
- 57:56Speaker 7: says when he's like and Melia looking.
- 58:00Speaker 5: Just like you can't even talk anymore. He's so drunk,
- 58:04Speaker 5: so drunk.
- 58:05Speaker 4: And then him falling off the.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Incredible shoot me, shoot me, and then into the body,
- 58:12Speaker 1: like the next to the body. Yes, and the wheezing amazing,
- 58:16Speaker 1: Oh my god. Yeah, I could definitely pick the whole
- 58:20Speaker 1: party scene. Yeah, the party scene is solid.
- 58:23Speaker 7: I mean it's impossible like every Also, the car has
- 58:28Speaker 7: some fun stuff going on.
- 58:31Speaker 5: I love the car chase after that too, where they
- 58:33Speaker 5: like come out and he's like the girl in the trunk.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Is in that car and he like freaks out, you know,
- 58:38Speaker 1: and like m immediately crashes the car.
- 58:42Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 58:43Speaker 1: And that band hits that guy so freaking hard. Old
- 58:45Speaker 1: blue face, the old blue face. Yeah.
- 58:51Speaker 7: And also even even when they go to the airport
- 58:54Speaker 7: bar and then going up the elevator like he already
- 58:56Speaker 7: talks about the elevator is unbelievable too.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Yeah, they do, I was saying earlier.
- 59:01Speaker 5: They do.
- 59:01Speaker 7: They do some great like in the background stuff when
- 59:05Speaker 7: the kid when you see the car come over the
- 59:07Speaker 7: hill opening that graved that because that looks like they
- 59:11Speaker 7: really built that house set and had that car crashed
- 59:14Speaker 7: through that looks real.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you see it do that with no sound, and
- 59:20Speaker 1: then it just yeah, that's really fun.
- 59:24Speaker 7: And them in the elevator going up and then getting
- 59:28Speaker 7: off and seeing the dude with the slip throat and
- 59:31Speaker 7: then the dude gets shot, just back in.
- 59:35Speaker 5: They don't say a word, just hammering that closed door button, just.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Like the scene leading up to that, whether interrogating the bartender.
- 59:52Speaker 7: Also, it's such good writing because he's like, yeah, the
- 59:55Speaker 7: guys you know who have no balls And he's like,
- 59:57Speaker 7: huh or what when they killed?
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Guys have no balls?
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: Getting married and then they do the whole scene and
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: then they're on the elevator. He's like, Munich, Munich, guys
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: with no balls. Munich is a city in Germany. And
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: they never even arrive.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: At the answer, Yeah, Hitler only had one ball. He
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: brings up Hitler so many times, notes, Yeah, what is
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that about a hot take?
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: What's happening there?
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: And what's happening there?
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: You know?
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: You know who else's followers Hitler that.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: He gives a little wink, Yeah that is, yeah, I
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: don't know what's happened. What's happening.
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: There's another thing that absolutely destroyed me, and I was
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: not expecting it. So he like wraps a cloth around.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I haven't written down, and it like fall like it's
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: not how he like puts it around his it's still
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: like falls out, so it's not real tight.
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: And then he just cuts twist.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Of his arm and just has to go and get
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: an ambulance and it's just like not what you're expecting. Honestly.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: There that was the moment I was like, I love
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: this performance. There's so much pleasing, so much like paramedics
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: in the thing. Also because like we've talked about, Gosling
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: is so pretending to be like Slick in this movie. Yes,
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: and he does he like wraps it up like he
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: knows what he's doing. And we've seen it in movies
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: so many times where someone does like the towel thing
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: and he just immediately pleading.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Because that's early, right, that's like the unbelievable. But that
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: killed me.
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: Yeah, that cracked me up. Also, I just love how
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: silly this is in parts. But and I mentioned Tally earlier,
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: but where she holds them up, the daughter comes in
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: and she's like, I'm gonna get you with coffee and
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: then it's like cold. But then she immediately slips in
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: it and it does work. Just like it's just so
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: crazy and silly. I think it's so funny.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Even Gosling another dumb thing. It's the dumbest thing.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: When they're at Kim Basinger's desk and they're talking and
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: she she's like, do you want to mint? She's like, yeah,
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: do you want to mint? And and they're like, Gosling's
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: like h and Russell Crowe gives him like the ship. Yeah,
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: he like puts his hand in there and he takes
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: like six, but he.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Like drops some and puts like three in his mouth.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Everything he does is so dumb.
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: He's just a dufest. It's the best.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know every scene ever, every scene ever,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the party scene, I feel like we all agreed on that.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: I mean the party scenes A lots lots happening there.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: But I did like all the first meetings.
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: That's true.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Those two characters too, So you gotta love first meeting
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: in general. That's great.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: I just like the whole bowling because that's kind of
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: where they kind of team up.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Yeah, the team up. Yeah, it's pretty good. Sure, I
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: should take all those all of it. It's fine. All
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: of them fast and loose. Let's chat chat stand.
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: Chat chat chat. Well, let's do some quotes here. We've
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: said a couple but it's time to show me the money,
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Show me the money.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Show me.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: Yeah, we've said quite a few now, at least mine.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: Anyway, Yeah, I've said a But I really love that
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: he can't smell. I got hit in the head a while.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: You're a private investigator and you can't smell.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: It just keeps getting better and better.
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: That's offensive.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I like when he's I like when he when he's
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: uh questioning the first bartender.
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: By himself, why this makes me chuckle. He's like he's like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: she was here the other night. She was drinking bourbon martinis.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Well that's disgusting. Also, it's funny because I'm like, I've
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: never heard anyone say bourbon martinis. Well, Manhattan is a
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: is a bourbon martini. I guess it's just but he's
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: just this huge drinker. He's like, well, that's disgusting. We've
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: been talking about the whole scene of him and the
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: old lady with the he's dead and his double take
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: to the urn.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: How long has he been missing since the funeral? Yeah,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: it's so good.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: The whole Uh what did I tell you? Don't say
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: hens stuff, Just say dad, there's a lot of whores here.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: And then it comes back when she's with the porn
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: and she says that they're all doing anal and stuff.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: Don't and stuff, just say they're doing analustle of Kim
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: Besiker's entrance, she pulls up with a limo and she's like,
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: I'm so and so I'm with the Department Justice, and
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: Gotha's just like, okay, well that explains absolutely nothing.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: One of my favorites.
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: And I in like my brain, this was like the
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: button of the trailer and I'm probably just making this up,
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: but it should have been. Is him him going look
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: on the bright side, nobody got hurt.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: People got hurt. Yeah, I'm saying I think they died quickly,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: so I don't think they got hurt.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I watched the trailer last night just to refresh it.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's definitely the the hit there. Nice man. I
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: can't remember that because I was like, that's the best.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: That's also right after the Well, at least you're drinking again,
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: that's like a T shirt.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: So good. At least you drink at least who else.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I mean, every line ever, every line that Gosling says
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: is the greatest line. Yeah.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: He comes in, he's like, you're supposed to be at
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: Jess because yeah, sorry, mister March, my sister kicked us out.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: She's having a guy over. Your sister's such a slut. Yeah,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I know, I know. So funny. God, there's so many.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Ah well, I got a couple of I love when
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: blue Face takes the fish out and Russell Crowe that's
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: the first time he gets excited despite having like guns
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: on him. But he's just like, hey, hey, oh no,
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: not the fish, like when he at him. That was
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: super funny. I also love Gosling. He's like, you must
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: say Jesus Christ or something and one of the Janet, yes,
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: you took the lord's name in vain, and he just goes, no,
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: I didn't, Janet.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I found it very useful, actually, Janet.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, Janet.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: It just cracked me up.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I loved this reading the.
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: Daughter when she's like, what are you doing here? Because
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: she comes in and does that, but I'm bump. Yeah,
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: he's like, what are you doing here? It's like giving
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: you a rim job, and he just goes rim shot,
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: You're a rim shot. Like he's like looking around, He's
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: like shot that important. Like when they do the bit,
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: it's not so much the lines. It's more that when
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: they're talking to the bartender and he's like, what's in
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: it for me? And he's like, he'll stop doing it. Yeah.
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: It's also like the first time, all of a sudden
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: they have like a like a shorthand and it's like, ah, again,
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: why didn't they make three of these?
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: What are we doing? It's gonna be hard to get
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: gossling now. I feel like, oh wait. He he literally
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: was like just talking about it.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: I brought up a lot in these press junkets for
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: Hail Mary.
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: Yeah, because because the thing was he he and he's
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: brought up. He's like, we made a huge miss take
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: because we tried to open the same weekend as Angry Birds,
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: the movie.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Oh, and said, I mean, I guess a lot of
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: kids at you might think it was a big deal.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I think it crossed it did.
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: Yeah, Angry Birds was so big then remember how it
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: was just a kid's movie and all. Yeah, you know,
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: it's like it'd be like trying to open against like
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: Super Mario Brothers right now or like one of those things.
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: Technically, Project hill Mary is going head to head with them,
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: but Hill Mary was like a week crushing. Yeah, they're
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: both crushing.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a good time for movies, it is.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: But yeah, I feel like if gods wanted to do it,
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: they get it. Yeah for sure, But what ten years later,
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: make it the early nineties or something.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be fun. It'd be awesome.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: That'd be great.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's interesting.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: What is it.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: It's ten years seventy seven, so yeah, like you'd be
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: late eighties. Yeah, that'd be fun. It'll be fun. I
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: mean you kind of just look the same right now.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I feel like it wouldn't even be that. Yeah, it's
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: just they also set it up for like, yeah, it's
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: so like ready for it. Yeah, yeah, we should add
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: a few of these.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: But no.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: I also love the Russell Crow line when they do
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: when they find the body outside the party and he's like,
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: all right, I've got a plan.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: We throw up, then we.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: Get rid of the body, and then they throw the
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: body on the table of the family.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd love to know what's going out of that party. Party,
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: but everyone's dressed to the nines, weird.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Definitely weird. Uh so there's two ways to look at something.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: That's the point of the story. Yeah, that's really great.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, that's all I got. There's so many.
- 1:09:58Speaker 6: Let's keep on moving. Then let's go of the bug
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: boohoo moments when game.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: I personally didn't boohoo in this movie at all, but
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: I think there's one moment that you could have.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I think I think there's one also during the one
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: as well. Let's see if we all got.
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: It, when she is sitting at their old house, or
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: at least the lot.
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: That was talk about the mother's death. Yes, and that's
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: when we find out, well, I guess we'd already we
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: knew that he couldn't smell, but it comes back he
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: couldn't smell a gas.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: Yeah, and that was my guess.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Definitely. That was my only one. Okay, okay, was there
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: more than one? There is mine?
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: Strangely is it seems weird. But it's when Blueface dies
- 1:10:51Speaker 7: and she's really upset about it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Yeah, wait, we have to help it, We have to
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: help him. Yeah. Yeah, nice snailed it. Nice with the
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: assist very nice. Let's do a little movie, true Rivia.
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: Now let's see. This project initially was proposed as a
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: TV series, but was retooled as a film after the
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: plot seemed to be going nowhere is what the trivia
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: piece said is a little rude.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Honestly, Yeah, that's not nice. But it works as a
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: movie really well. It would have a beout a good
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: TV series. Can you just make an episodic a new
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: thing every time?
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, ID been fine.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: When promoting his program The Loudest Voice on The Howard
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: Stern Show, Russell Crowe said this was one of two
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: films where he wishes there was a.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Sequel, as he likes playing the career. The other was
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: La Confidential, which I still haven't seen. I need to
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: watch that one.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: Oh it's incredible.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Yeah, check it out, really good. Have you seen that
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: one around?
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: Have we talked about that one?
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: Yeah it was I mean that's a long time. Was
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: that ninety six or something?
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: That's a long something like that.
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, I should check that out, uh we
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: said Russell corp put on, way that's here. I thought
- 1:12:09Speaker 5: it was was fun that the film opens with the
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: mid seventies Warner Brothers logo, so they like played into
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: the time frame, which is fun. I was like, when
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: they do that. Yeah, during March's opening monologue about the
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: downturn of society, a porno theater in the background is
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: playing bang bang.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Kiss Kiss, which is a play on kiss kiss Bang bang.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I love that. That's kind of fun.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: I like that.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Renegade dropped one on me right before we started.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: What is it?
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Dead body, dead body? Robert Downie Jr. Dead body, dead
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: which dead body?
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: The one by the tree at the fter he falls
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: off the hag.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: That's here's the dead body. I didn't even hear that.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: That's awesome, that's cool. I hope I'm not wrong. He
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: was Sid Shattick. Yeah, he was Sid shatt rack that
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: rack with that. That's cool.
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: I like that.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: That's very cool. Confirm confirm for me. But I'm arepy
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: sure that's true, because.
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure I saw that he was in there
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: as a cameo uncredited, and I was like, I.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Never saw him.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: I honestly, I've never even noticed that.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I just like read that.
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean half of his face is gone. Yeah,
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: that's crazy.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I can even see it still here in it.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: You can almost tell it's him. Nice, there's at least
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: other people saying it, which is all we need in
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: this day and age. We're post truth.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: It's fine.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: The porn star Misty Mountains, is named after one of
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: the film's production companies, also a perfect porn star movie name.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I mean that is a good one. That's pretty good. Guys,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: ever thought about what your star name would be?
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, buck Naked? Remember the good? What's the what do you?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: What are you supposed to do? It's the street you
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: grew up on in your middle name? Yeah that is?
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Or no, or your first pets name? Oh is that?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: What is your first pets name? And the street you
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: grew up on? Mine's pretty good?
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: What is it?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Taffy? Queen's good.
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: That's a very specific subset of movie. Yeah, a poodle
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: named Taffy and I grew up on Queen Avenue.
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: Mind mine's Mickey Yates. Oh that's good too, that's good,
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: pretty good one.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: We didn't have a street name the Golden First.
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: Avenue, Southwest Grey Goldie twenty one.
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: Oh, I like that one. I like that all right,
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: Missa Mountains. Similarly to the studios marketing campaign for Inherent twice,
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Warner Brothers released a seventy style trailer complete with Beta
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: Max artifacts and op soundtrack audio Crackle and uh An
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: introducing credit for Kim Basing. I think that's fun.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Is that the one you watch? Kid?
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: Probably? What's that the trailer or whatever you said you watched?
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: Is it the stylized one or a different one?
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Probably just the regular one? Oh no, I watched the
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: regular one. Yeah, okay, that must have been. They must
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: have made that for like maybe like before movies. Probably.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good point, huh more of a cinematic nosol's.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I didn't know this.
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: Russell Crow and Ryan Gosling. I guess I knew Gosling,
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: but they were both child actors who dropped out of
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: high school to pursue their careers and neither has had
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: any formal training in acting. That seems impossible.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Goslings, Yeah, him and Timberlake.
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: And I didn't know Russell Crows was like a child
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: actor though I didn't know that at a lot. I
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: guess it would have been Australia or whatever.
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, because his big like American obviously like debut
- 1:16:05Speaker 7: was l a confidential. Yes, I think came in guy
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: Guy Pearce is Australian too. I think they were also
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: in l a.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Right, Well, that's yeah, and basing her is to the
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Oscar for It movie. That's a lot of people.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: The take with Ryan Gosling sitting against the tree next
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: to the body of Sid Shattuck is an homage to
- 1:16:34Speaker 5: Luke Costello, who specialized in long takes were something such
- 1:16:38Speaker 5: as a Mummy or Frankenstein's Monster scared him so badly
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: he couldn't make a sound, but eventually managed to yell
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: as partners, yeah, that's kind of fun.
- 1:16:47Speaker 7: It is it is such a it like shouldn't be
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: funny because it is such a like old school cliche.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: But he's clearly also what a great shot of Like, yes,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: the lighter going and the reveal seeing him in the background,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: that is fun.
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: And then the and then he like, because he's drunk,
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: he doesn't get his cigarette lits, so he does it
- 1:17:08Speaker 7: again and does the slow Yeah, it's good.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: Really fun good.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: The last one that I have is the toast that
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: ends the movie.
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: To the Birds is delivered by two.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Men with bird based surnames, Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: It's brilliant. I bet that's I don't know if that's
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: why they said it, ever even really put that together, and.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: They just gotta get Ethan Hawke and Tim Robbins and
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: done another one. David David Fincher.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: W.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Dang bro Samuel Egret is that a guy. I was like,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I was speaking real people.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: That was the thing that was really good, pretty good. Yeah,
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: Eve Martin. Martin is a kind of bird. I'm thinking
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: like Jack Sparrow. That's a fictional person.
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: Also, just just real quick, we mentioned him, but shout
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: out Shane Black dude, due what a freaking run of everything.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Being awesome like that, such funny movies. Just leath a
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: weapon alone.
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: So the.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Make a fifth I've heard that the fifth They keep
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: talking about it, but that would be cool.
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: Would watch it?
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I would do you know what I mean?
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: It's always sunny already did it.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: It's true and it's written that show man. That would
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: be wild if they did that. Did Riggs?
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: Rigs got fired from the forest for just being a
- 1:18:48Speaker 7: huge racist to everyone.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: But Roger.
- 1:18:53Speaker 5: Cool with that.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I don't know what's happening.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: I got I've got one trivia. It's just why I
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: just want to state about why people shouldn't be able
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: to do whatever they want on the internet. This is
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: one of the lowest rating trivias you get, and it
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: was something about an ex Mart minute mark. The private
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: investigator's daughter is driving a car. She's clearly underage to
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: have a driver's license.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Oh my oh god, I love it.
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: Wow, that's asking.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: Do you not understand why she's driving the car? Yeah,
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: she's like twelve.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: We know that we got it, which which is literally
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: the joke.
- 1:19:39Speaker 6: Yes, because because he's a great dad.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: We opened the movie with Papa was a rolling stone. Yes,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: wherever he laid his hat was this rob? Did you
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: have any actors or anything for this one? I didn't.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I sure didn't. I didn't see any of that.
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: Well, we kind of already talked about a Judge and Day.
- 1:20:00Speaker 5: Will there be a sequel?
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: It sounds like there's an interest, and I would want
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: to help you both both want to Gosling. Yeah, I'm like,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: It's one of those things where I'm like, if Ryan
- 1:20:12Speaker 7: Gosling and Russell crowe both just want something like it happened.
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: How is it like there's no way, like there can't
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: just be like Shane, can we just yeah, could write
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: a Shane probably has like five movies written already for.
- 1:20:28Speaker 5: This Yeah, especially, like you said, he sets it up
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: like it's he must have had some idea of doing
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: more potentially.
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: Didn't he write, He didn't write, Uh, die Hard with
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: a Vengeance, wasn't tired with a Vengeance gonna be like
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: a lethal weapon and then so familiar.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: But you know, I'm just it's funny.
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: I'm like when people, especially Gosling right now, I'm like,
- 1:20:52Speaker 7: can't Gosling just like get anything he wants done? I mean,
- 1:20:57Speaker 7: I also I realized he probably has a pretty full
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: schedule wool in general.
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: But like, still, though you'd think the amount of times
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: he brought this up in the press jump like, yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: I feel like he.
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: Wants which is crazy for a movie that he did
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: ten years ago, you know, and he's not He's not
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: out here talking about Barbie too, He's not here talking
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: about nice Guys.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like that says something.
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: Yeah, And apparently the only trivia I saw was that
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: they both came up with a hilarious sequel idea and
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: they wanted to call it Nice Guys to Mexican Detectives.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Yes, I heard that detectives Filipino Filipino. It was like, yeah,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I do, dude, at least you're drinking. That's nice, guys
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to Mexican detectives. Yea. It writes itself like we said
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: that his daughter's still doing stuff, like she's.
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: Yeah, totally, everybody's still around.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: What are we doing?
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: I guess Margaret probably can't come back, But she can't.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: That would be crazy. Yeah, that'll be bad, ill of
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: a Rewright, do you guys want to play a game? Yeah?
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: All right, get ready.
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: I said I was going to do a different one
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: since Benny always crushes the starting five, but did I
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: just did another starting five.
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: So this is where I'm gonna name my five favorite
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: actors from a film. When you know the film, you're
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: going to ring in with your name.
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: If you get it wrong, there won't be any negative points,
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: but you won't be able to guess again for that movie.
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: If there are actors' names for remaining, you can guess
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: those for a point each. The other person can steal
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: if you get any of those names wrong. And all
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: of these films have something in common. It usually pertains
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: to this movie that we talked about. And when you
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: know the theme, you can ring it at any time
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: for a point. Hell yeah, And this theme is tougher
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: than normal, So it's not real tough, but it's not
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: it's not as easy.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: As I usually give it. All right, let's do it.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: Number one. The first name is Ryan Gosling. You guys,

- 1:23:59Speaker 1: the line, what is it? Bugs? I don't want them
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to gain another yard? Another yard? And then uh hayden
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Henitary No, no here, I did not pick her. Does
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: anybody else have a guess? Adam? Yes, uh.

- 1:24:30Speaker 6: Wood Harris, what it was?
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: It was between him and Ryan Hurst? I picked Ryan Hurst? Yeah?
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Which one is Ryan Hurst? Bertier anarchy? Yeah right, right right?
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: I didn't know his name gotten.
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: That ye, but yeah, Benning with three points right there?
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: All right, remember the Titans. Let's go to number two.

- 1:25:50Speaker 6: So yes, So you got Denzel Johnson and American gangster.
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: Nicely done.

- 1:26:28Speaker 1: There's a lot of people in it. You don't know
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: who it is.
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: It's got to be her, right, and that's gotta be her.
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: Uh and uh little Academy Award winner.
- 1:26:40Speaker 9: Oh, Heather Graham, it's not Heather Graham anybody, Adam Yes,
- 1:26:45Speaker 9: Julian Moore, Julian Moore, he got it, Imber, but Benny
- 1:26:50Speaker 9: got Benny got three, renniege got one.
