- 0:41Speaker 2: the worst advice you ever gave or something you were
- 0:45Speaker 2: absolute about and then had to eat crow about.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Let's just this is really hard for me because I
- 0:53Speaker 1: never lie and I'm always right.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Carrie said he had something I was wrong about real
- 1:02Speaker 4: Salt Lake.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Ah, you know, I thought that same thing the other day.
- 1:06Speaker 5: I was.
- 1:07Speaker 4: I remember it was crazy Mayor was in here. But
- 1:13Speaker 4: he wanted to get l Becker, No, Rocky Anderson. He
- 1:18Speaker 4: wanted to give a lot of money to the stadium
- 1:20Speaker 4: to build and I said, it's you're throwing this tax
- 1:23Speaker 4: dollar money to this millionaire and and and and soccer
- 1:27Speaker 4: is never going to be that popular here in Utah.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Just it's just not.
- 1:31Speaker 5: It's just not. I think I wrote an editorial about it.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Oh really yeah, And I was just I was wrong.
- 1:38Speaker 5: I was not wrong about Rocky. He's still crazy, I am. Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I ran into uh Spence
- 1:45Speaker 1: check Its. I had spent some time with him. It
- 1:47Speaker 1: was a couple of years ago. We were both judging
- 1:49Speaker 1: a chili cook off and his it was his dad,
- 1:53Speaker 1: Dave Dave Checkets that really sort of was spearheading all
- 1:55Speaker 1: of that and got the soccer going here. Uh and
- 1:58Speaker 1: I and I said, you know, I was really opposed
- 2:02Speaker 1: to the And he said, I know, I know you were.
- 2:04Speaker 5: And I said I was wrong. I was wrong. He said, yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 5: you were.
- 2:09Speaker 3: It's okay to admit you're wrong.
- 2:11Speaker 5: It's the only time I can think of that I've
- 2:12Speaker 5: been wrong.
- 2:13Speaker 2: You know, it's an intelligent person that's able to admit
- 2:16Speaker 2: when they're wrong like that. Like I was not aware
- 2:19Speaker 2: of that. I did not know that. That's that's something
- 2:22Speaker 2: smart people do. Smart people don't always say they're right.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Bill.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I know, I listen, I said, I've said before and
- 2:28Speaker 1: I really do mean it. I don't mind being wrong.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I I if I'm wrong and somebody tells me I'm
- 2:34Speaker 1: wrong about something, that I go, oh, really, well, thank you.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I have a couple of things. My first one is
- 2:42Speaker 2: dinner is not a gift. Oh remember when that was
- 2:46Speaker 2: my And I blame my mother for that, because my
- 2:49Speaker 2: mother used to say, dinner is not a gift.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You can take me to dinner, but I still expect
- 2:56Speaker 3: a gift. That's a thousand percent wrong.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I know, and we always said told you it was.
- 3:01Speaker 3: You did, But I was just parroting what my mother said.
- 3:05Speaker 3: But no, a nice dinner is a wonderful gift.
- 3:08Speaker 5: You know what else is wrong? Parroting anything your mother says?
- 3:14Speaker 5: Dinner is a wonderful Yes, it is.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I almost can't think of a better gift than a
- 3:19Speaker 2: nice meal out for somebody.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Well one hundred dollars.
- 3:23Speaker 3: And one hundred dollars.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And then my other thing, the death penalty.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I've gone back and forth on that over the years.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I I was like, yes, some people don't deserve to live,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and I still believe that.
- 3:39Speaker 3: But as long as we, you know, don't have that.
- 3:43Speaker 2: There's utteristic technology of being able to actually know for
- 3:48Speaker 2: sure whether somebody did it or not.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Well, there's no, it's not even that, Gina, though.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It's it's unfairly applied the death penalty because there there
- 4:00Speaker 1: are people who are who can't afford a good defense.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Oh, I mean I could decide, if you made me
- 4:07Speaker 2: the decider, I I would know.
- 4:10Speaker 5: But you know, you know what I you know what
- 4:12Speaker 5: I mean.
- 4:12Speaker 1: It's proportionately people of lower lower parts of society. And
- 4:18Speaker 1: you know they say, well, it's because they commit more
- 4:21Speaker 1: heinous crimes. No, no, not necessarily. Another thing I was
- 4:25Speaker 1: wrong about disco.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I again, I would have.
- 4:34Speaker 3: To come around to disco around on.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Discou I would have to echo that I'm the same thing.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I hated it, and I applauded what's his name who
- 4:42Speaker 1: burned all the disco records in the Yeah, Steve Dall
- 4:45Speaker 1: in the Chicago Stadium.
