Arms and the Man Act 3
In which the tranquil domesticity of a Bulgarian country house is playfully disrupted by the arrival of military orders, wagers on missing coats, and a lively tangle of romantic misunderstandings and rivalries that mingle with the practicalities of war. The interplay of sincere sentiments and spirited ironies unfolds amidst debates on courage and honour, revealing the comic complexities of human nature in a notably Shakespearean blend of the martial and the mundane.
