Locked Transmitter, Dead Technician, Voice Reading Names at Dawn
A teen paperboy heard a woman's calm voice reading names through a ventilation grille at 5:40 a.m. on March 11, 2017, though WKRT's transmitter building had been padlocked and dark since October 14, 2016. The station's equipment log showed a new March 11 entry in Teresa Lane's handwriting and a 45-minute oxide tape cartridge labeled "Millhaven Voices - Community Archive, 2009 through 2016" was found inside cart machine B-so who threaded the tape and powered the transmitter that morning?
