Latest / Christ Himself - A Daily Devotional
Evening — January 12 — Job 7:4
When I lie down I think: ‘When will I get up?’ But the night drags on, and I toss and turn until dawn. — Job 7:4
The night's length matters only because the dawn is certain. Christ's resurrection anchors the believer's hope, so present suffering is bounded by His coming. Union with the risen Son shifts our focus from how long the trial lasts to the character of the One who promises the morning.
