- 0:52Speaker 1: How are you doing, buddy? I'm good. Let's turn his
- 0:56Speaker 1: mike on. Thank you. What's the good word?
- 1:00Speaker 2: So?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Where where did you play last year?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Last year I was in Brazil for four months and
- 1:06Speaker 3: then I went to a quitar for the rest of
- 1:08Speaker 3: the year.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Okay, you've been a traveling man for fifteen years, haven't you?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Every year I'm out somewhere.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Do you usually play in two different countries every year? Sometimes?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Do you just play in one?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Not normally I just playing one, but like the last
- 1:25Speaker 3: the last two three years, I've been playing like all
- 1:27Speaker 3: year round.
- 1:27Speaker 2: So I've been chatting what made you?
- 1:30Speaker 1: What made you play year round or go from maybe
- 1:33Speaker 1: playing seasonally to year round.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Because I'm getting old, I'm trying to.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Get sweeze everything you can out of the last Yeah, I'm.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Trying to make the most money because I'm getting old.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you're not old. How old are you?
- 1:44Speaker 2: Thirty six thirty?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Did you think you could play Uh? I say overseas
- 1:49Speaker 1: European worldwide basketball for this long?
- 1:52Speaker 2: No, not really.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I ain't gonna lie when I first my first year
- 1:55Speaker 3: was the worst year of basketball ever.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Witness your first year in the pros FROs yep Okay,
- 2:00Speaker 1: So you leave Mississippi State after having a hell of
- 2:02Speaker 1: a career and you go into pro ball and you
- 2:05Speaker 1: say it's your worst year. It was just the transition
- 2:07Speaker 1: leveling up or what.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Not even that it was just like the life, the
- 2:11Speaker 3: adjusting to the coaches that they they different from American coaches,
- 2:15Speaker 3: sure coaches.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So it's just like it was tough.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Where did you play your first year?
- 2:21Speaker 3: Mont Okay, which is like in the Balkans Serbia over
- 2:26Speaker 3: there with Serbia.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Where what's been your favorite place to play since you
- 2:33Speaker 1: left Mississippi State.
- 2:36Speaker 3: My favorite place to play was in Turkey and Istanbul,
- 2:40Speaker 3: but to live was Monte Carlo.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Oh, how was that?
- 2:45Speaker 2: That was great? I lived there for like four years.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Beautiful area, right, amazing? Okay, that sounds awesome. So you're
- 2:51Speaker 1: there for four years on and off and then you
- 2:54Speaker 1: come back here. During that time when you would come
- 2:56Speaker 1: back here, would it be for like three or four
- 2:58Speaker 1: months or did you stay up there two months?
- 3:01Speaker 2: I would be I would be here for two months
- 3:03Speaker 2: if that, probably like.
- 3:05Speaker 3: A month and a half because we would finish so late,
- 3:07Speaker 3: for like a month and a half, and then I
- 3:08Speaker 3: would go over there, go over there for ten months, okay,
- 3:12Speaker 3: ten months and a half, and then come back.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Are some of the arena's gyms are they packed?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah? I mean.
- 3:25Speaker 3: I played for some of the biggest teams in Europe.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Give me a couple of ups I played for in
- 3:30Speaker 3: Turkey and Galaces Ride Okay, uh, some like over thirty
- 3:35Speaker 3: five million maybe more fans in the world played when
- 3:40Speaker 3: I was in Jaghettis and euro League in Lithuania. The games,
- 3:44Speaker 3: every game was sold out in euro League.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Wow.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I played with my first year with the team I
- 3:50Speaker 3: played with had great fans too, but they only came
- 3:53Speaker 3: for like rivory games and okay, but when the rivory
- 3:56Speaker 3: games came, it was insane.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Big time, was it. Okay, Let's let's take that to SEC.
- 4:03Speaker 1: The rivalry games over there, compared to like when you
- 4:06Speaker 1: played in Oxford or Baton Rouge or whoever was good,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know, a big game in Tuscaloosa, so on. How
- 4:13Speaker 1: do you compare going to on the road in the
- 4:15Speaker 1: SEC to an arena that's sold out?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Oh man, it's crazy.
- 4:20Speaker 3: My toughest the toughest arena for me was my first
- 4:23Speaker 3: year against Kentucky Rough Arena. The floor was shaken, but
- 4:26Speaker 3: I was that was tough. But then when I went
- 4:29Speaker 3: to Europe, Yeah, I don't think it's nothing compared because
- 4:32Speaker 3: they threw in lighters.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They're crazy.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they throwing coins, bottles, it don't matter. It could
- 4:40Speaker 3: be you drive up the court. They you might just
- 4:42Speaker 3: see something try to hit you. But then and they're
- 4:44Speaker 3: trying to like.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Spit on you. It's insane.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And are they close to the are some of them close.
- 4:51Speaker 3: To the floor, depends on the the arena like some
- 4:53Speaker 3: of them are close to the floor. Like maybe having
- 4:56Speaker 3: in Turkey they have to put the shield up to
- 4:59Speaker 3: like you're like.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Well, the bench is wow, so you can't like because
- 5:03Speaker 2: the fans they got the shield up wow.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Debossed all SEC performer at Mississippi State on some really
- 5:10Speaker 1: good teams with that Rick Stansbury crew. He joins us
- 5:14Speaker 1: on the Out of Bound show. You can watch the
- 5:16Speaker 1: show on YouTube search out of Bound Sports. But a
- 5:21Speaker 1: big time hooper both here and overseas. Okay, so you're
- 5:26Speaker 1: from North Carolina.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, who who?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Uh? Was it Kirby or Cunningham or someone else that actually?
- 5:34Speaker 3: So what happened was I was playing in the AU
- 5:36Speaker 3: tournament in Pittsburgh and Stansbury and Kirby was there, okay,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and I don't remember who was playing, but I was
- 5:44Speaker 3: playing and they was watching, And as we walked out
- 5:48Speaker 3: the gym, they came up to me. But you know
- 5:50Speaker 3: back then you couldn't really like sing it sure, uh
- 5:53Speaker 3: so they just like quick said two words and then
- 5:55Speaker 3: he talked to my AU coach. It's been getting on
- 5:58Speaker 3: the van and then I guess he said something and
- 6:00Speaker 3: then they told him like oh, they was offering me
- 6:03Speaker 3: right in and there okay, And I was in military school.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I was going to military school at the time. Okay,
- 6:08Speaker 3: so they offered me and I was at I went
- 6:14Speaker 3: to military school. I set up. I had four official
- 6:17Speaker 3: visits set up because like in military school, we couldn't
- 6:19Speaker 3: leave whenever we wanted.
- 6:20Speaker 1: We had to like, oh, you had to plan it out,
- 6:23Speaker 1: schedule it.
- 6:23Speaker 2: I had Mississippi State next week.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I was supposed to go to Miami, and then it
- 6:29Speaker 3: was supposed to be I think was it. I had
- 6:31Speaker 3: like I think it was it, Florida State and somebody else,
- 6:34Speaker 3: all of them like set up.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But then I went to MISSISPI. I came to Missipy State.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And they shut it down.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Rick Stansbury the closer.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Rick, that's my guy. I talked to Rick, not
- 6:47Speaker 3: TOI long ago. We talked at one point this past year.
- 6:49Speaker 3: This past year were talking like every week.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I'm glad he's back in. I wish he was at
- 6:55Speaker 1: Misissippi State as an assistant, but it's cool to see
- 6:58Speaker 1: him at LSU.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean he still wants to be a head
- 7:01Speaker 2: coach for sure. Oh.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I know once you, once you're one and successful.
- 7:05Speaker 2: You always make sure he'll be back.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I hope, So I hope so all right, so Kirby
- 7:10Speaker 1: and Cunningham, see it an AAU tournament all for you.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It comes down to Mississippi State, Miami, Florida State another team. Okay,
- 7:18Speaker 1: and what year was that? This was two thousand and
- 7:22Speaker 1: what year do you graduate high school?
- 7:24Speaker 2: So I technical guy, graduated high school in two thousand
- 7:26Speaker 2: and six.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Okay, but I went to prep schools for one more year.
- 7:29Speaker 2: So this was in two thousand and six, going into
- 7:30Speaker 2: two thousand and.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Seven, seventh.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Okay, my two thousand and seven year was at prep school.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and you started day one, didn't you in.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Startvill Yeah, idea, yeah, yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That's that's impressive freshman all sec all that kind of stuff.
- 7:45Speaker 2: That was like part of the like the agreement.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that you were going to have a great
- 7:50Speaker 1: opportunity to start.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Yeah, because I had other schools that I had.
- 7:55Speaker 3: My AU coach was my mentor, and he was like
- 7:56Speaker 3: kind of like studying everything, breaking it down like rosters
- 8:01Speaker 3: and all of that, and he was like, look because
- 8:03Speaker 3: actually when I when I was at prep school signing,
- 8:05Speaker 3: Mississi State North Carolina wanted me to get out of
- 8:08Speaker 3: my signing it and go there.
- 8:10Speaker 1: But they oh, at the end North Carolina. But then
- 8:12Speaker 1: Roy Williams, I guess.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Or yeah, yeah, they wanted me to play shooting guard.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Oh and you wanted to play point.
- 8:18Speaker 2: No, my first year ever playing point guard was at
- 8:21Speaker 2: State State.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, my whole career, my whole life, My first
- 8:25Speaker 3: year every playing point starting at point goal is in State.
- 8:28Speaker 2: That a way.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Yeah, wow, they recruited you as a point guard though, right.
- 8:32Speaker 3: They recruited me as a point guard. Yeah, but that
- 8:34Speaker 3: was my first year of playing it. But normally I
- 8:36Speaker 3: played shooting guard, shooting everything. Wow, well I shot everything
- 8:39Speaker 3: in State.
- 8:39Speaker 2: But yeah, you get it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we'll take a break. The boss is
- 8:43Speaker 1: gonna hang out with us for another thirty minutes or so.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Three time All SEC performer in start Bull under Rick
- 8:52Speaker 1: Stansbury and fifteen plus years overseas playing in some for
- 9:00Speaker 1: some big time teams in some amazing countries. You can
- 9:04Speaker 1: watch it on YouTube search out of Bound Sports. This
- 9:07Speaker 1: is ESPN one oh five nine, The Zone. That was

- 9:33Speaker 1: Our interview is brought to you by Mississippi's college town
- 9:36Speaker 1: Startville Mississippi. Two brothers, Great Barn Grill, older brother Bistro
- 9:41Speaker 1: Fantastic restaurant and Taste Italian Kitchen in Starville. Hit them
- 9:46Speaker 1: the next time you're in Stark, Vegas. De bosst All
- 9:50Speaker 1: sec Hooper for hal State and Rick Stansberry. He was
- 9:54Speaker 1: a crowd favorite. He joins us live in studio. Fifteen
- 9:58Speaker 1: years in professional basketball and you can watch the show
- 10:02Speaker 1: right now on YouTube search out of Bound sports. Okay,
- 10:06Speaker 1: so you were you were recruited and you obviously went
- 10:12Speaker 1: to Mississippi State. Now, weren't you a hell of a
- 10:15Speaker 1: high school football player?
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:16Speaker 3: I was a quarterback Okay, but I didn't play my
- 10:19Speaker 3: first two years of high school.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I set out to focus on basketball because I was small.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Right in my high school coach the first first summer,
- 10:27Speaker 3: he told me, oh, you're gonna play JV. So he
- 10:34Speaker 3: told me I was gonna play JAV. So my my
- 10:36Speaker 3: stepdad was like, nah, well.
- 10:38Speaker 2: You can't play football no more.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I'm just going you gotta work on basketball since you're
- 10:41Speaker 3: too small. So he made me work on basketball for
- 10:44Speaker 3: two years before I played again.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Okay, did you so you I assume you started your
- 10:49Speaker 1: sophomore and junior.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Year in hoops. No, I actually started my freshman year.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Okay, so you started your ninth, tenth, and eleventh, all right,
- 10:55Speaker 1: So then after your eleventh grade year, you decided to
- 10:58Speaker 1: go out for football too for your.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I played my junior year.
- 11:03Speaker 3: We was terrible. We I played. I didn't play quarterback.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I played, Uh. I played a little bit of receiver,
- 11:09Speaker 3: but the coach was he didn't put me there, so
- 11:10Speaker 3: I played cornerback.
- 11:11Speaker 2: And then my senior year we started oh and three.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Well, my friend, so it was crazy because like my
- 11:18Speaker 3: one of my best friends was at quarterback and we
- 11:20Speaker 3: started owing three. I was a receiver, my brother which
- 11:25Speaker 3: made it to the NFL. He was running back.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 11:30Speaker 3: We changed. Everybody changed positions. I went to quarterback, he
- 11:33Speaker 3: went the receiver. Somebody else went to running back, and
- 11:36Speaker 3: we went. We won thirteen straight games and.
- 11:39Speaker 1: On you just get thrown the It's not like you
- 11:41Speaker 1: had practiced all year in the spring and summer at quarterback,
- 11:43Speaker 1: right and you after three games the coach has an
- 11:49Speaker 1: epiphany and and decides to switch all y'all round.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean technically I played quarterback growing up
- 11:56Speaker 2: as a kid.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Okay, a little bit here and their sixth seventheighth grade.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I played quarter back all the way into like
- 12:01Speaker 3: from when I was a child to it's all the
- 12:03Speaker 3: way to freshman when.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I didn't got it.
- 12:05Speaker 2: So he already knew that. So he was like, will
- 12:08Speaker 2: let me try.
- 12:09Speaker 3: He ain't played it since but two years, three years actually,
- 12:14Speaker 3: so he said, all right, let me put him here.
- 12:15Speaker 2: So he put me there and then ended up working.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Y'all won thirteen straight games in the state championship and
- 12:20Speaker 1: you won the state title in North Carolina. The boss
- 12:25Speaker 1: is also a state champion at quarterback. Uh. And so
- 12:31Speaker 1: that year in basketball, your senior year, that same year.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Year we lost. Uh.
- 12:36Speaker 3: So we played Okill that year we lost. We lost
- 12:39Speaker 3: to them by a buzzy beater.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So that at Okill, No, it was it wasn't where.
- 12:46Speaker 3: We was playing where we was from, but it was
- 12:48Speaker 3: at a big, bigger gym, bigger gym, and they beat
- 12:51Speaker 3: us on a buzzer beater from Brandon Jennings really good.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And that was when we had four losses.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I think all year that year, Wow, I think we
- 13:01Speaker 3: only lost we lost four games. They was one of them.
- 13:04Speaker 3: And then Ish Smith that played in the NBA. He
- 13:09Speaker 3: they beat us I think two or three times, and
- 13:10Speaker 3: those the only teams that beat us.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Wow de bossed on the out of Bounds show. How
- 13:16Speaker 1: much fun was it when you were in You were
- 13:18Speaker 1: in Starbull and there were ten thousand people in Humphrey Coliseum.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Oh when it was sold out?
- 13:23Speaker 3: It was it was amazing, It was actually it was
- 13:28Speaker 3: for me, it was like the best arena to play in,
- 13:30Speaker 3: especially even when you traveled to on the road with
- 13:32Speaker 3: more fans because the arenas bigger.
- 13:34Speaker 2: But for me, it was the best environment to play in.
- 13:38Speaker 1: And you were there. How many years you go? Then
- 13:42Speaker 1: CAA tournament.
- 13:43Speaker 2: We only went off freshman year. We got my sophomore year.
- 13:46Speaker 3: We got snubbed because we won I think twenty three games.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I want to say, yeah that we won more games that.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Year than we did the year before, and we took
- 13:56Speaker 3: Kentucky to the wire.
- 13:57Speaker 2: We beat a lot of teams that was like really good.
- 14:00Speaker 3: And then we went to the finals of the SEC
- 14:02Speaker 3: tournament against Kentucky and they selection show. We were sitting
- 14:06Speaker 3: there every thinking like, ah, we're gonna make it for sure,
- 14:08Speaker 3: we gotta make it.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Right, and they snabbed you.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Rick got snubbed a few times. All right, So back,
- 14:16Speaker 1: do you remember your biggest game in the hump or
- 14:19Speaker 1: can you read.
- 14:20Speaker 2: In the hump? Was points? Wise? It was against Auburn?
- 14:26Speaker 3: Uh I want to say was that freshman and sophomore
- 14:28Speaker 3: I scored I think thirty two.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I hit like eight threes? Good? Really my freshman my
- 14:36Speaker 2: sophomore year, Okay, I hit like eight threes. And then.
- 14:41Speaker 3: My next biggest one was probably against Kentucky my sophomore year.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Okay, uh, Now, who are when you were a freshman?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Who all was starting with you? Do you remember freshman year?
- 14:55Speaker 3: It was me, Barry Stewart, Yeah, Ray, Ryan Johnson, Yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Uh I think my foreman was Cody Augustus and then Jarvis.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Okay, wow, so you you didn't play with Charles Rhads.
- 15:07Speaker 3: No, he and Jami had already left, so when I
- 15:11Speaker 3: came in, it was leaving that Okay.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I wonder I phil was a year before where they
- 15:16Speaker 1: played Derrick Rose.
- 15:17Speaker 2: In the Ye.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Okay, I was at that game. That's what I couldn't
- 15:22Speaker 1: remember earlier. Okay, That's what it was, Little Rocks, Derrick Rose,
- 15:26Speaker 1: Jami Rhodes was on the team and and it was
- 15:30Speaker 1: a real close game, all right, d Boss on the
- 15:32Speaker 1: out of Bounds show ESPN one O five down the zone?
- 15:35Speaker 1: Were you surprised once you got start well and once
- 15:38Speaker 1: you got into sec play how packed the arena was?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Oh?
- 15:41Speaker 3: I wasn't surprised, Yeah, because I was coming from a
- 15:44Speaker 3: prep school where we even in high school, like our
- 15:47Speaker 3: games was sold out. But like our prep school, the
- 15:51Speaker 3: games we played, it wasn't really sold out because like
- 15:54Speaker 3: we was playing against like North Carolina's V team, right,
- 15:57Speaker 3: we was playing against UH like other prep school in
- 16:00Speaker 3: the country.
- 16:01Speaker 2: So we end up.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Playing is Isaiah Thomas, a lot of other good like
- 16:06Speaker 3: NBA players that made it in prep school and we
- 16:09Speaker 3: beat We wanted to the prep school national tournament, So
- 16:12Speaker 3: we were undefeated when I.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Was at prep school.
- 16:15Speaker 1: You went undefeated that year?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't lose it.
- 16:18Speaker 3: We beat UH Okayill and the Scream and we beat everybody,
- 16:21Speaker 3: like we won a prep school national tournament.
- 16:24Speaker 1: What was the name of your prep school?
- 16:25Speaker 2: Part Grave Military Academy?
- 16:26Speaker 1: I've heard of that. I'd forgotten about that, Okay? Was
- 16:31Speaker 1: that fun or just a grind?
- 16:34Speaker 2: No? I was a grind.
- 16:35Speaker 3: It was tough to it was tough to deal with
- 16:37Speaker 3: because it was you had to wake up here every morning,
- 16:40Speaker 3: like five forty five.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Oh.
- 16:44Speaker 3: The only thing we didn't have was the guns, right,
- 16:47Speaker 3: so we had wake up five forty five, make sure
- 16:50Speaker 3: you shave, make sure your uniform on perfect, make your
- 16:53Speaker 3: bed up.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Go downstairs to the lines. You had to salute all
- 16:59Speaker 2: of that.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You had to march to the breakfast, to march to
- 17:02Speaker 3: the lunch, marched it then and all.
- 17:04Speaker 1: That right, and then you get to start and you're like,
- 17:07Speaker 1: all right, this is this is a little more fun.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I would have started. I lost my mind.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Of what Who was your closest friend on the team.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Oh, I would say I was close to Rayyyne because
- 17:24Speaker 3: he was my roommate at one point, Brian, Brian, those
- 17:29Speaker 3: are my probably my closest friends. But actually I met
- 17:35Speaker 3: one of my best friends to this day. Uh, and
- 17:37Speaker 3: I made him my roommate. I made them like, let
- 17:40Speaker 3: him be my roommate. And then he worked for the team. Okay, yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 3: so he he became my roommate, so like and then
- 17:47Speaker 3: like I chose who I wanted to meet him.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Brian Brian, Okay, we're we're Stansbury's practice is tough.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I mean it could get tough, but like the preseason
- 17:59Speaker 3: was so brutal that.
- 18:01Speaker 2: The prices was easy. I got you because our preseason
- 18:04Speaker 2: was insane. We had coach Aikins.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And that was brutal.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Man, I ain't never experienced nothing like you.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So like summer in those first couple of months going
- 18:13Speaker 1: into when y'all really started getting after in September, we're brutal.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta remember coach Akins was a football stream coach, right,
- 18:19Speaker 3: so we was doing insane stuff, right all right, Good
- 18:24Speaker 3: morning Out of Bounds ESPN one oh five nine at
- 18:28Speaker 3: the Zone, brought to you by Taste Italian Kitchen and
- 18:31Speaker 3: start well there Orange Swift Wine Dinner is Monday night
- 18:35Speaker 3: and then Taste in Ridgeland.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Wine Dinner on Tuesday. Check it out Taste Italian Kitchen
- 18:42Speaker 1: dot com. We've got hell State Hooper debossed in studio.
- 18:48Speaker 1: You can watch the show on the YouTube channel search
- 18:51Speaker 1: Out of Bounds Sports. Three time All SEC performer and
- 18:55Speaker 1: made his presence known from day one.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Uh.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He had a hell of a year as a fresh
- 19:00Speaker 1: and balled out from the beginning. It was on some
- 19:04Speaker 1: good teams. That was when Stansbury had it rolling in
- 19:09Speaker 1: in starbull d bossed on the ESPN one O five
- 19:13Speaker 1: nine The Zone as you've been playing the overseas. Have
- 19:16Speaker 1: y'all ever won it?
- 19:18Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, I won?
- 19:20Speaker 3: So like you got the EuroLeague, which is the most
- 19:23Speaker 3: prestigious league, second best league outside the NBA, and then
- 19:26Speaker 3: it goes to euro Cup. We won the euro Cup
- 19:29Speaker 3: when I was in Monaco, soy and I was there,
- 19:34Speaker 3: like you know, I was the captain of the team.
- 19:38Speaker 3: We wanted for them to go to EuroLeague. So if
- 19:40Speaker 3: you win EuroCup, you advanced the euro League and we
- 19:43Speaker 3: won the euro Cup.
- 19:44Speaker 1: How cool was that?
- 19:46Speaker 3: That was my first No, that was my first trophy
- 19:49Speaker 3: ever over there, but that was like the first major
- 19:51Speaker 3: trophy I won.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Like, okay, over there?
- 19:55Speaker 1: And what are what are the playoffs? I mean roughly
- 19:58Speaker 1: how many games arounds are there?
- 20:00Speaker 3: So you play like within the regular season, you play
- 20:04Speaker 3: groups and then once it's like they you finish that,
- 20:07Speaker 3: you go to the playoffs and you play a quarterfinals.
- 20:09Speaker 3: But the quarterfinals is the best of three, and then
- 20:12Speaker 3: the semi finals best of three, and then the finals
- 20:14Speaker 3: best of three.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Okay, it used to be like that in uro Old Cup.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Okay, And so you won it and then you advance
- 20:22Speaker 1: to another league when you win. It is that right?
- 20:24Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they I help them go to another league.
- 20:28Speaker 3: But then that's when I changed to go to Galchester.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Okay, they take the soccer model of relegation and you
- 20:34Speaker 4: know stuff like that.
- 20:35Speaker 2: So when you go up.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Oh your team gets bumped out, You get bumped, you
- 20:39Speaker 1: can get bumped down. Okay, all right, And when y'all
- 20:43Speaker 1: won the championship that year, where were you or where
- 20:46Speaker 1: do you remember? Where the what shitty the championship was
- 20:48Speaker 1: played in?
- 20:49Speaker 2: So we did like because it was COVID.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Coming off COVID, it was normally you know, you're supposed
- 20:53Speaker 3: to play the first first game. It was supposed to
- 20:56Speaker 3: be one home home, one away, and then home. But
- 21:00Speaker 3: we was the opposing team, like we was the lower seed.
- 21:04Speaker 3: So we were playing against a team from Russia called
- 21:07Speaker 3: Unix Kazan and they they was a home the first seed.
- 21:13Speaker 3: But because of COVID, you couldn't travel back into the
- 21:16Speaker 3: front you're with. You had a quarantine like I think
- 21:20Speaker 3: ten days or whatever.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Okay, we still had to.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Play domestic league. We played the first game in Monaco
- 21:27Speaker 3: and then we were supposed to play two in Russia.
- 21:30Speaker 3: But we ended up beating them the first game, and
- 21:32Speaker 3: then we beat them the first game in Russia.
- 21:33Speaker 2: And then it was finished.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Then there was it was done. Yeah, okay. How who
- 21:37Speaker 1: was debossed on the Out of Bounds Show three times?
- 21:40Speaker 1: All SCC, Hooper and Starbull? What who did you see
- 21:45Speaker 1: the most the last fifteen years overseas as far as
- 21:49Speaker 1: played Atssissippi State? Is there a player that you would
- 21:51Speaker 1: run into more than anyone else or at all?
- 21:55Speaker 2: Actually?
- 21:56Speaker 3: I don't think I ran into it planning nobody from
- 21:58Speaker 3: Missippi State. But I ran to Chris Warren a lot
- 22:03Speaker 3: mess in France and Turkey playing against him.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so you never ran into roads much.
- 22:10Speaker 2: No, in that nobody. I've never seen any Sea rolls.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Okay, No, no, I was trying to think of different Okay,
- 22:17Speaker 1: So Ruages wasn't in that space.
- 22:20Speaker 2: He was in the space. I think he was somewhere
- 22:22Speaker 2: in Asian market. I think I want to.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Say, Okay, did you ever go over to Asian play?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Nah? I never played. I was supposed to go there
- 22:31Speaker 2: when I left Brazil, but I didn't go. Okay, I
- 22:34Speaker 2: was supposed to go to Taiwan, but I didn't go.
- 22:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Did do you do you like Brazil?
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah? I love it.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So I was living in Rio, so every time I
- 22:44Speaker 3: walked out the house, the sun was hitting me.
- 22:47Speaker 1: That's nice.
- 22:48Speaker 2: It was amazing though. The weather was amazing.
- 22:50Speaker 1: So they loved shocker first. But do they do they
- 22:53Speaker 1: get into hoops in Brazil?
- 22:55Speaker 2: Yeah? Well Brazil.
- 22:56Speaker 3: The team I played with was the biggest team in Brazil,
- 22:58Speaker 3: which was Flamingo.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 3: They, I mean they love of course you love soccer.
- 23:04Speaker 3: They ain't putting in above that. But the fans love
- 23:06Speaker 3: basketball just because it's a they was playing. He was
- 23:08Speaker 3: playing for Famingo.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Sure, is there arena nice?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, it was a bit. It was a huge arena. Uh,
- 23:15Speaker 2: kind of old, but it was nice. Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And how many years did you play there?
- 23:20Speaker 2: I was in Brazil for just four months. I sound
- 23:22Speaker 2: like a short term contract. But you enjoyed it. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 2: I enjoyed it. Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 1: And you would go back if I could, I would
- 23:28Speaker 1: go back.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 1: And you'll be going to Iceland.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Now, I'm going to Iceland. Yeahs into August. Cool?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, so I've never have you been to Iceland?
- 23:39Speaker 2: No, I've never been to Iceland.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I've never seen the picture of it.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I've seen a picture. Ye. When I before I signed,
- 23:44Speaker 2: I looked up every google it. Yeah, I had to.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I had to What did it come down to Iceland
- 23:49Speaker 1: and who this time around?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Well?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Right now, I came down to Iceland and going back
- 23:53Speaker 3: to the Middle East? Okay, but I feel like Iceland
- 23:58Speaker 3: was the best choice for me.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with the stuff that's going on. Sure going on,
- 24:03Speaker 2: so I had a polatility, a.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Little bit of turmoil sometimes. Yeah. Did you ever in
- 24:08Speaker 1: your life think that you would spend fifteen years overseas
- 24:11Speaker 1: in all these different countries, seeing all these different cultures,
- 24:14Speaker 1: all the different Have you enjoyed most of the food?
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:17Speaker 3: I enjoy most of the food. Almost every place you
- 24:19Speaker 3: go to. Almost every place you go to got you know,
- 24:24Speaker 3: good food. But like Turkey got some of the best,
- 24:26Speaker 3: like food. I bet I've been to Israel, they got
- 24:32Speaker 3: good food. What about in Greece, we.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Can't talk about that. You talk about women, Nah, Okay,
- 24:38Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. I don't know if he's
- 24:40Speaker 2: allowed to. I didn't know.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I think he's married. So we probably won't go down
- 24:43Speaker 1: that road. The majority of the time you're overseas, you said,
- 24:49Speaker 1: you're there for like nine or ten months, but this
- 24:52Speaker 1: year you could be there for sure. Are you expecting
- 24:56Speaker 1: to be there for.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I mean I got hopes of being there for but
- 25:00Speaker 2: into August too.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Let's say me, okay, how many games do you roughly
- 25:05Speaker 1: do you usually play a year in these overseas European leagues?
- 25:10Speaker 3: Well, normally when I I mean you're not playing on
- 25:12Speaker 3: I play on a team that plays in two leagues,
- 25:15Speaker 3: Like you'll have two games per week, okay, but this
- 25:19Speaker 3: year is a team that plays one game a week
- 25:22Speaker 3: in Iceland. Yeah, so we'll play about I want to say,
- 25:25Speaker 3: let's say about forty games maybe maybe?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Yeah. They love practicing over there.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I would think that you're the point in your career,
- 25:36Speaker 1: in your life you're kind of over I mean, you
- 25:38Speaker 1: work out and I know you're shooting here every day
- 25:40Speaker 1: and all that, but you're probably over two hour practices.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Right. Yeah, that's that's too much for me. Right, I came.
- 25:47Speaker 1: And but you've obviously taken care of yourself and you
- 25:50Speaker 1: and your body because you're you're still playing. Do you
- 25:54Speaker 1: feel like you're still playing at a high level?
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean isolate the best level, but you physically
- 26:01Speaker 3: though yeah, I'm physically I think I'm okay. Yeah, because
- 26:04Speaker 3: I had my first injury, which was in I had
- 26:07Speaker 3: surgery in March. That was my first injury in my
- 26:10Speaker 3: whole career, like my first surgery.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's great. I mean, that's that's good that you
- 26:14Speaker 1: you went fifteen years incredible without getting hurt with all
- 26:18Speaker 1: the ball that you play. Yeah, I mean that's a
- 26:22Speaker 1: lot of quick twitch movements not to get hurt. Are
- 26:24Speaker 1: you do you feel good or one hundred percent?
- 26:27Speaker 2: I feel good. I think I'm okay. I just it's
- 26:28Speaker 2: a mental thing.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's more mental than anything.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Okay, So how many more years do you want to play?
- 26:38Speaker 2: Max?
- 26:39Speaker 3: I want to do I would say three, but Max
- 26:42Speaker 3: two because my I got my son getting older, so
- 26:45Speaker 3: I need to take time and right him.
- 26:47Speaker 2: So yeah, I just to Max.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Probably howld your son he's a this is he a hooper?
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah? He plays basketball or soccer? All right?
- 26:56Speaker 1: So yeah, that's great. I know you love Yeah how
- 27:02Speaker 1: much fun?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Is that stressful? But it's okay?
- 27:05Speaker 1: I understand. Yeah, yeah, because.
- 27:07Speaker 2: You're dealing with a lot of kids.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And got to they don't know where they're going.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Some other put them in order you know, but it's
- 27:12Speaker 2: it's fun. I enjoy it.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Did you play soccer growing up?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yeah? I suck.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Okay, Well you look I could see you as a
- 27:22Speaker 1: soccer player too, because you're you look like a hell
- 27:24Speaker 1: of an apple. I mean you went in at quarterback
- 27:27Speaker 1: your senior year and won thirteen straight games. I mean
- 27:29Speaker 1: that's and won the state title. Did you get any
- 27:32Speaker 1: when that went down? I know no, let's switch gears.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Dan Mullen tried to get you. Tell the story. All right,
- 27:39Speaker 1: So you're you're obviously a haf an athlete. You win
- 27:42Speaker 1: a state championship as a quarterback after not playing for
- 27:44Speaker 1: three years in North Carolina. You're already balling out. You
- 27:48Speaker 1: had these offers you talked about. You get to Mississippi State,
- 27:51Speaker 1: you start day one, you're all sec as a freshman.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm looking at your numbers from that year. You know,
- 27:57Speaker 1: you did a lot of really big things, cool things.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Tell me about Dan Mullen and Rick Stansbury talking about you.
- 28:05Speaker 3: So Dann Mullen came to a to me and Rick
- 28:08Speaker 3: and he asked, like, hey, can d play quarterback?
- 28:13Speaker 2: And first thing Rick said him, and I was like
- 28:17Speaker 2: I thought about it.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I was like I might consider it, yeah, and Rick
- 28:21Speaker 3: was like, nah, you're not even considering.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I'm not letting you. I said, what if I want
- 28:26Speaker 2: to play? Here? Was like, I'm not letting you. So
- 28:28Speaker 2: I went one morning watching him.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Of course I was walking through because we was going
- 28:31Speaker 3: to work out with the football teams. I seen him
- 28:33Speaker 3: at like five thirty in the morning, going crazy, and
- 28:35Speaker 3: I looked.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I said, Nah, this ain't nothing. Nah, I don't think
- 28:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna be able to handle that.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Can y'all imagine as good an athlete as D boss
- 28:45Speaker 1: This if D would have been Dan's first quarterback, running
- 28:50Speaker 1: the dual threat with Anthony Dixon and maybe even Vic Ballard,
- 28:56Speaker 1: but that would have been ridiculously I was.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I was a raid quarterback. Yeah, I'm not.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Would you like to throw it?
- 29:04Speaker 2: I loved? I couldn't. I couldn't stand handing the ball
- 29:07Speaker 2: off to nobody. That's what we did. We ran. We
- 29:10Speaker 2: ran like a spread offense in high school.
- 29:11Speaker 1: So until you were trying to score.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah I want to score, I'm and I wasn't. I
- 29:16Speaker 2: was barely like in high school.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I was real slow, so I couldn't run fast, so
- 29:20Speaker 3: I was just releasing the ball.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Really hold on, why were you? How how did this?
- 29:25Speaker 1: You don't look like you were ever slow? No, like
- 29:27Speaker 1: you just you still like you.
- 29:29Speaker 2: If I had the videos, y'all probably would laugh. So
- 29:31Speaker 2: I don't get faster?
- 29:32Speaker 1: How did you get faster? Learning like technique?
- 29:36Speaker 3: And I had to do like a lot of like
- 29:37Speaker 3: ladder jump rope stuff like that.
- 29:40Speaker 2: But I was like, you couldn't imagine how slow I was?
- 29:43Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, I wouldn't guess that, Okay. So so Dan
- 29:48Speaker 1: Mullen tries to convince Rick Stansberry to allow d Balls
- 29:52Speaker 1: to play quarterback because I mean Dan walked in and
- 29:57Speaker 1: he had Tyson Lee and Chris Ralph. Now Dan eventually
- 30:00Speaker 1: made some things happen with with Ralph, but I mean,
- 30:03Speaker 1: can you imagine how tall are you? De bossed? With
- 30:09Speaker 1: Chad Bumpus and Anthony Dixon? This is this could have
- 30:15Speaker 1: been illegal in a good way. Yeah, not like the point,
- 30:20Speaker 1: but also Dan, Dan brought in a Savage strength and
- 30:26Speaker 1: conditioning program that then obviously d walked through one day
- 30:30Speaker 1: and saw the In fact, I think the strength and
- 30:32Speaker 1: conditioning coach was named Rick Savage.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Ki Kiffen has one of Mullen's strength and conditioning coaches
- 30:38Speaker 1: right now at at LSU that Dan had at one
- 30:43Speaker 1: point Savage Nick Savage. Okay, all right, yeah, isn't that great?
- 30:50Speaker 2: Coach?
- 30:51Speaker 3: D's like, yeah it was Savage, man.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeah, God, that would have been great, d Boss starting
- 30:58Speaker 1: quarterback at Mississippi State, been nice whole. I mean, Dan
- 31:01Speaker 1: went to the Gator Bowl in year two at Chris
- 31:03Speaker 1: Realth think of it. And indeed, yah, so y'all threw
- 31:06Speaker 1: it around in high school your senior.
- 31:08Speaker 3: So man, we threw so we passed a lot. Okay, yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 3: because I had my brother, Yeah, my mom adopted when
- 31:14Speaker 3: we was in fifth grade. He ended up going to
- 31:17Speaker 3: end up he was playing a East Mississippi down here
- 31:19Speaker 3: while I was at State. Oh that's cool, okay, and
- 31:21Speaker 3: he ended up going to East Carolina, so he was out.
- 31:24Speaker 2: He was my receiver.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Really yeah, so y'all y'all playing backyard football with everybody.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, all my friends was like the one that was
- 31:31Speaker 3: a quarterback, he went the receiver.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Your brother went to receiver.
- 31:34Speaker 3: So all my childhood friends was like since we was
- 31:37Speaker 3: like what my brother was since fifth grade, but my
- 31:40Speaker 3: other friends since I was like second grade.
- 31:42Speaker 2: So yeah, we all just grew up together.
- 31:44Speaker 1: How cool is that?
- 31:45Speaker 2: Awesome?
- 31:45Speaker 1: So y'all are playing pitching cat, but you're doing it
- 31:48Speaker 1: your senior year in high school and then you're going
- 31:50Speaker 1: to win the state champion. Was it a surprise that
- 31:52Speaker 1: y'all start? You know, you're zero and three, then you
- 31:56Speaker 1: get inserted in a quarterback, then you rip off thirteen
- 31:58Speaker 1: games in a row. It's worked. Was everybody in kind
- 32:01Speaker 1: of that region in North Carolina going, what's what's going on?
- 32:03Speaker 3: But they do it honestly in football, No, because they
- 32:07Speaker 3: had just wanted two years before that.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I got it.
- 32:10Speaker 3: They had a quarterback that went to Duke. My brother
- 32:13Speaker 3: was on the team. Uh so they had just won
- 32:15Speaker 3: football two years ago. But in basketball, my first year
- 32:19Speaker 3: we won nine games and then we started progressing every year.
- 32:22Speaker 3: So it was kind of like we we climbed the
- 32:25Speaker 3: ladder pretty fast. Everybody was surprised.
- 32:27Speaker 2: What was your first pair of basketball shoes? What are
- 32:30Speaker 2: you hooping right now?
- 32:32Speaker 3: Both my preferred Now I'm actually about to try Kobe's out.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I never hooved. I never played in like low top shoot.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I don't need to be I was I hurt my
- 32:48Speaker 3: knee in Adidas So.
- 32:51Speaker 2: I heard that. I mean, I heard they're good to

- 35:47Speaker 1: No, I don't have the d bosst on the out
- 35:49Speaker 1: of bounds show. He's going to join us here for
- 35:50Speaker 1: another six minutes and then he's, uh, he's got things
- 35:54Speaker 1: to do. We appreciate him hanging out with us. He
- 35:56Speaker 1: was so much fun to watch number three in Maroon
- 35:59Speaker 1: and white. He wore the right number uh steps in
- 36:02Speaker 1: his point guard day one and just had an uh
- 36:06Speaker 1: insane career in start Bull and is still playing pro ball,
- 36:09Speaker 1: has played all over, won championships, had a hell of
- 36:12Speaker 1: a career and uh, and definitely needs to be celebrated
- 36:16Speaker 1: in Startbrell Mississippi at some point when he takes some
- 36:19Speaker 1: time off when he's not playing overseas. We got to
- 36:22Speaker 1: get him to start Bull in January or February and
- 36:25Speaker 1: roll out the red carpet, courtside seats and everything else.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Right, that's a lot. That's a lot of basket period.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I went to.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Oh did you go to a game?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Did you see Hubbard playing? Yeah, not this February, but

- 36:48Speaker 2: Well, he was a junior dis year, right, yeah, okay,
- 36:50Speaker 2: sophomore year.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think about hubb.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Well can play, he can score. Yeah, you need a
- 36:55Speaker 3: little helpful, Yeah, he needs some help.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Yeah, they got to get some pieces around him. Yeah,
- 37:02Speaker 1: but but he can ball.
- 37:04Speaker 2: He can score, Yeah, he can definitely score.
- 37:06Speaker 1: How was it going back and just watching a game?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Did you enjoy it?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:10Speaker 3: I enjoyed it a lot. I enjoyed a lot. I
- 37:11Speaker 3: mean we got destroyed by of Missouri. Uh, it was
- 37:16Speaker 3: it was good to be back and watching being the hump.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Is it still called the hump. Yeah, Okay, it don't
- 37:22Speaker 2: look like the hump.
- 37:23Speaker 1: The renovation man looks totally different.
- 37:26Speaker 2: They did everything. They did a lot of a lot
- 37:28Speaker 2: of renovation. Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 1: And then the new I p A, you know, the
- 37:31Speaker 1: the practice facility that's connected to it all that.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that was there. That was my Yeah, sophomore year.
- 37:38Speaker 3: I want to say, Okay, it was there my first
- 37:40Speaker 3: it was building my first sophomore year.
- 37:41Speaker 2: We had it. Yeah, I want to say, we did.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Have you have you talked to Phil Cunningham or Robert
- 37:49Speaker 1: Kirby in the last ten years?
- 37:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I told, uh, coach Kirby. I want to say
- 37:54Speaker 3: about a year ago. Maybe I haven't told you have
- 37:57Speaker 3: I told? Actually I told the field was at the
- 38:01Speaker 3: beginning of this summer.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Okay, those are my guys I got. I got close
- 38:06Speaker 1: to Wreck and Phil and and Kirby, closer to probably Phil.
- 38:10Speaker 1: But that was a good group that you were.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Well coach, Coach Cunningham was good. All of them was all.
- 38:14Speaker 2: All that staff was good.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Then Kirby, he's the one that recruited me and stands
- 38:19Speaker 3: stands my gutto always.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Yeah, do you have a favorite protein? Do you care
- 38:23Speaker 4: about pro ball very much?
- 38:24Speaker 2: NBA. Yeah, I'm just I like players. Yeah, that's what
- 38:27Speaker 2: I figured. That's wherever I like Lebron, he works. Lebron
- 38:30Speaker 2: gonna go. I hope where.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I mean Philadelphia, boll See.
- 38:35Speaker 2: You don't think it's Cleveland. Something tells me it is.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Because I think he's about to retire. So he's want
- 38:40Speaker 3: to retire, you feel, or he'll do it one year
- 38:42Speaker 3: somewhere and that's next year retired Cleveland.
- 38:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I think. I think he knows the
- 38:46Speaker 4: chases one more and then comes back on. So I
- 38:48Speaker 4: think it's gonna be Celtics. Maybe I want to say
- 38:51Speaker 4: Philly of Golden State. But then again, they say in Miami.
- 38:55Speaker 4: So if he go to Miami.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Don't ever ever count that guy out. Yes, I mean,
- 39:01Speaker 1: look what he just did with this. Yeah, the guy's
- 39:06Speaker 1: the best recruiter period. I mean period, He's the best
- 39:10Speaker 1: recruiter in the history of the NBA.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Stef Lebron.
- 39:16Speaker 1: If Lebron gets plugged in Miami, he'll win another He
- 39:18Speaker 1: could win another title and go out.
- 39:20Speaker 2: At who's old. Lebron doesn't age, but he's.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Oh, he's incredible. At a forty one, he can still
- 39:31Speaker 1: play really well. For fifty games at the arbitrary. The
- 39:35Speaker 1: guy has taken care of his his body. If he
- 39:38Speaker 1: goes to Miami, the Golden State thing, I think that
- 39:40Speaker 1: ship is sailed. If if he goes to Miami, they
- 39:44Speaker 1: can win another title. I want to go back. We've
- 39:46Speaker 1: got one more minute here. You were talking about nikes.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I see you're wearing low tops, so you play with
- 39:52Speaker 1: you playing low tops now or high tops?
- 39:54Speaker 2: I played in my whole career.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I played one time, which was when I was a
- 39:57Speaker 3: national team in low tops. Okay, at the euro Basket.
- 40:03Speaker 3: But now I'm about to start trying low tops again. Okay,
- 40:07Speaker 3: one ankle spring, I am. We're going I'll go back
- 40:11Speaker 3: to hot top. Yeah, but do y'all know I got
- 40:14Speaker 3: to dual citizenship. I have your European passport.
- 40:17Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 40:17Speaker 3: I played for another where I was playing, I was
- 40:20Speaker 3: playing for another country.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Okay, wow, that's cool.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you've been plenty of time log. Yeah, have a
- 40:26Speaker 2: Bulgarian passport.
- 40:27Speaker 1: That's that's nice.
- 40:29Speaker 3: So I was playing like in the euro Basket with
- 40:33Speaker 3: Bulgaria forces on.
- 40:34Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure right now, how often do you buy
- 40:36Speaker 4: in new set of forces?
- 40:38Speaker 2: Man? This is probably like in the last year, probably.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Eight yet came fresh eighth.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Pair of bomb them and then like once they dirt,
- 40:48Speaker 3: I just leave them and give him away to somebody.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Hey, de boss, thank you buddy. Hopefully he'll come in
- 40:54Speaker 1: studio again. Great
