Mega Edition: When It Comes To Jeffrey Epstein, Who Investigates The Investigators? (10/6/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: Back to the Epstein Chronicles. Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein have
• 0:06
Speaker 1: written letters to J.P. Morgan and they're pleading with J.P.
• 0:10
Speaker 1: Morgan to own up to their nonsense. However, we know
• 0:14
Speaker 1: that J.P. Morgan is never going to do any such thing.
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: Of course, it's Jess Daly's fault. It's everyone else's fault
• 0:22
Speaker 1: besides Jamie Dimons and J.P.
• 0:24
  Speaker 2: Morgan's.
• 0:25
Speaker 1: But two survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's at the very least
• 0:29
Speaker 1: including Courtney Wilde, have sent letters, contacted J.P. Morgan, and
• 0:34
Speaker 1: asked them to do the right thing, and that's take
• 0:37
Speaker 1: responsibility for the bullshit they were involved in. Today's article
• 0:42
Speaker 1: is from the Daily Beast. Headline, Victims plead with J.P.
• 0:46
Speaker 1: Morgan to own up to Epstein's abuse. This article was
• 0:51
Speaker 1: authored by Kate Bricklett, and this article was published by
• 0:55
Speaker 1: the Daily Beast. When JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon was
• 1:00
Speaker 1: questioned under oath last week over the bank's lengthy relationship
• 1:04
Speaker 1: with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, he was asked whether he
• 1:07
Speaker 1: had received letters from any of the survivors of Epstein's abuse.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: A transcript of Dimon's deposition taken as part of two
• 1:16
Speaker 1: lawsuits accusing JP Morgan of facilitating Epstein's sex ring reveals
• 1:22
Speaker 1: the executive testified that That he didn't recall getting one
• 1:25
Speaker 1: particular victim's mail, but that he had enormous sympathy for her.
• 1:30
  Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I couldn't recall. I forgot.
• 1:33
Speaker 1: I never saw that. We never talked. We never had
• 1:35
Speaker 1: a relationship. How many times do we have to hear
• 1:39
Speaker 1: that shit? So if I have a loan with JP
• 1:41
Speaker 1: Morgan and I say that I didn't receive my bill,
• 1:44
Speaker 1: is it cool? Do I just get off the hook?
• 1:46
Speaker 1: I don't have to pay you anything? Of course not, right?
• 1:49
Speaker 1: You still got to pay. They don't care if you
• 1:50
Speaker 1: received it or not. The bill is due and you
• 1:53
Speaker 1: have to pay it. And the same thing for Jamie
• 1:55
Speaker 1: Dimon here. His bill is coming due finally. And now
• 1:58
Speaker 1: that the spotlight is on Jamie Dimon as well, he's
• 2:01
Speaker 1: failing the test just like the rest of these scumbags
• 2:04
Speaker 1: that were involved with Epstein. Instead of trying to blow
• 2:08
Speaker 1: the lid off of what happened and be somebody who
• 2:11
Speaker 1: is productive and offering up good information, Instead, it's more
• 2:15
Speaker 1: of the same old song and dance and bullshit. That victim,
• 2:19
Speaker 1: the Daily Beast has learned, was Haley Robson, who was
• 2:23
Speaker 1: a Florida high schooler in 2004 when Epstein exploited her
• 2:27
Speaker 1: and made her one of his recruiters. And when this
• 2:29
Speaker 1: was all first breaking, remember, Haley Robson was portrayed as
• 2:34
Speaker 1: an actual recruiter. But in reality, Haley Robson was somebody
• 2:38
Speaker 1: that was being abused and manipulated by Jeffrey Epstein, as
• 2:42
Speaker 1: well as these other girls. And now Haley Robson, well,
• 2:45
Speaker 1: she wrote this letter to JP Morgan. And according to
• 2:49
Speaker 1: Jamie Dimon, he never saw the letter. He never received it.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: I can't recall. This dude has the worst memory maybe
• 2:56
Speaker 1: in history. Perhaps JP Morgan might want to think about
• 3:00
Speaker 1: giving him some kind of dementia test. If he can't
• 3:02
Speaker 1: remember an email like that or a letter like that,
• 3:05
Speaker 1: dude must have some dementia. Because I would think that
• 3:08
Speaker 1: if somebody sent you a letter... talking about the abuse
• 3:12
Speaker 1: that they suffered by somebody like Epstein, that you'd remember
• 3:15
Speaker 1: that letter. But of course, it's convenient for Jamie Dimon
• 3:18
Speaker 1: to say that he never received it. Dear Jamie Dimon,
• 3:23
Speaker 1: Robson wrote, According to a copy of the letter reviewed
• 3:26
Speaker 1: by the Daily Beast, I cannot begin to explain how
• 3:29
Speaker 1: Epstein has consumed my life. I cannot make you see,
• 3:33
Speaker 1: force you to feel, or even request that you show
• 3:36
Speaker 1: compassion to all of the survivors. I don't understand how
• 3:39
Speaker 1: so many people, colleagues, knew what was going on or
• 3:43
Speaker 1: had evidence and information that could have helped us and
• 3:46
Speaker 1: chose not to speak up. She continued before referring to
• 3:50
Speaker 1: a past smear campaign launched by Epstein's legal team to
• 3:53
Speaker 1: discredit victims and help avoid federal charges in 2008. Why
• 3:59
Speaker 1: did we all get picked apart publicly when the reality
• 4:02
Speaker 1: is you and many more knew something and didn't speak up?
• 4:07
Speaker 1: And that goes to the legacy media as well. Let's
• 4:09
Speaker 1: not let them off the hook here. They played a
• 4:11
Speaker 1: huge part in that. Who do you think was running
• 4:13
Speaker 1: the stories bashing these girls? Who do you think was
• 4:17
Speaker 1: giving air to the nonsense being pumped by Epstein's people?
• 4:21
Speaker 1: Of course, the legacy media. And they were working overtime
• 4:24
Speaker 1: to make sure that the real story never got out.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: Just look at the lengths that ABC went to to
• 4:30
Speaker 1: not run the interview that they had with Virginia Roberts
• 4:33
Speaker 1: that Amy Robach was all pissed off about. Why didn't
• 4:38
Speaker 1: ABC run that interview? Well, they didn't want to lose
• 4:40
Speaker 1: access to the Royals, right? So instead of giving you
• 4:44
Speaker 1: the information as the people that you deserve to know,
• 4:48
Speaker 1: they'd rather... have their access to the royals so that
• 4:51
Speaker 1: they can go hang out with Prince Andrew and Fergie.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: I may not be as smart as you, but we
• 4:56
Speaker 1: should at least agree that the information you withheld has
• 5:00
Speaker 1: hurt me and many others, Robson wrote. Everyone makes mistakes
• 5:04
Speaker 1: and has regrets. If you are a good human, you
• 5:07
Speaker 1: will just admit to making a mistake and be the
• 5:10
Speaker 1: first to try and do what is right to end
• 5:13
Speaker 1: this chapter on a positive note for all of us.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: It'll never happen, but she's not wrong. A little personal responsibility.
• 5:21
Speaker 1: How about from Jamie Dimon? Just getting up there and saying, hey, look,
• 5:24
Speaker 1: you know what? This happened under my watch. I didn't
• 5:28
Speaker 1: know anything about it, but I take responsibility for everything
• 5:32
Speaker 1: that happens while I'm in charge. And we're going to
• 5:34
Speaker 1: make sure that it's fixed. We're going to fix all
• 5:37
Speaker 1: of the loopholes that were used. We're going to be
• 5:39
Speaker 1: transparent about it. And we're going to make sure that
• 5:43
Speaker 1: the women who were abused under our watch are taken
• 5:46
Speaker 1: care of with some restitution.
• 5:48
Speaker 2: But did any of that occur? Of course not.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: It's just more of the same. It wasn't us. It
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: wasn't me. It's everybody else's fault. Robson wasn't the only
• 5:57
Speaker 1: victim to contact JPMorgan bosses in recent weeks. Courtney Wilde,
• 6:02
Speaker 1: who was 14 when Epstein abused her and who sued
• 6:06
Speaker 1: the government over his lenient plea deal, penned a letter
• 6:09
Speaker 1: to executive Mary Erdos last month asking her to support
• 6:13
Speaker 1: the victim's fight for justice. Wilde wrote that she believed
• 6:17
Speaker 1: JPMorgan was Epstein's right hand in allowing him to become
• 6:21
Speaker 1: the most abusive sex offender in history. And that's not hyperbole.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: JP Morgan was there every step of the way. And
• 6:29
Speaker 1: when you're helping somebody navigate Title 31 laws and banking
• 6:34
Speaker 1: regulations and FinCEN stuff, well, you're structuring. So that means
• 6:39
Speaker 1: you're in cahoots with the person that you're helping. So
• 6:42
Speaker 1: for me, anyway, there's no way that JP Morgan can
• 6:45
Speaker 1: look at what happened here and say, you know what?
• 6:48
Speaker 1: We're not at fault. We didn't do anything because they did.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: They had everything at their disposal from a regulation standpoint.
• 6:55
Speaker 1: to make sure that this didn't happen. They chose not
• 6:59
Speaker 1: to be critical of those regulations, and they chose to
• 7:02
Speaker 1: let Jeffrey Epstein and Jess Daly do whatever they want.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: And it happened on Jamie Dimon's watch. Yet rather than
• 7:10
Speaker 1: acknowledge a wrongdoing, accepting responsibility, making an apology to all
• 7:15
Speaker 1: of us, and doing what is right, I understand that J.P.
• 7:18
Speaker 1: Morgan has unleashed an army of lawyers to torture the
• 7:21
Speaker 1: victims who brought the cases and put them through even
• 7:24
Speaker 1: more pain and suffering, Wilde wrote. Does nobody at J.P.
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Morgan have a conscience? Erdos, the CEO of J.P. Morgan's
• 7:34
Speaker 1: asset and wealth management business, and the lieutenant under Diamond,
• 7:38
Speaker 1: testified in a deposition that she communicated with Epstein via
• 7:42
Speaker 1: email and phone calls and twice visited his New York townhouse.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: She and other J.P. Morgan officials, including Jess Staley, who
• 7:51
Speaker 1: is now accused of assaulting an Epstein victim, allegedly held discussions,
• 7:56
Speaker 1: about the accusations against Epstein, but decided to keep him
• 8:00
Speaker 1: as a client. So you had your discussions, you had
• 8:03
Speaker 1: your powwow, you had your come to Jesus moment, and
• 8:06
Speaker 1: you greedy fuckbags still decided to do business with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 8:11
Speaker 1: So whose fault is that? I have fought my entire
• 8:14
Speaker 1: adult life against Jeffrey Epstein, his powerful associates, his investigators,
• 8:19
Speaker 1: his lawyers, and even the U.S. government for justice, Wilde added.
• 8:24
Speaker 1: I don't want to have to fight you, too. And
• 8:27
Speaker 1: she is not wrong. Courtney Wilde has been right in
• 8:29
Speaker 1: the middle of all of this, throwing haymakers at Epstein
• 8:32
Speaker 1: and his people. Remember, she took the case to the
• 8:36
Speaker 1: Supreme Court. The Supreme Court and their cowardice decided not
• 8:40
Speaker 1: to hear it. But she's been, you know, right at
• 8:43
Speaker 1: the forefront, calling these scumbags out at every turn. A
• 8:47
Speaker 1: representative for J.P. Morgan declined to comment on the letters.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Late last year, a victim of Epstein, known as Jane Doe,
• 8:55
Speaker 1: and the U.S. Virgin Islands, USVI, government sued JP Morgan
• 9:00
Speaker 1: for allegedly enabling and profiting from Epstein's trafficking scheme. The
• 9:04
Speaker 1: bank has denied any wrongdoing and illegal filings, pointed the
• 9:08
Speaker 1: finger at the USVI, claiming it had a quid pro
• 9:11
Speaker 1: quo relationship with Epstein. JP Morgan is also suing Staley,
• 9:16
Speaker 1: arguing he should be solely liable if Doe wins her case.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: And we all know that's BS. They're all liable here.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: JP Morgan, US Virgin Islands, Jess Daly, all of them.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: And it's amazing to me that one of these enterprising
• 9:32
Speaker 1: lawyers that we see who have collected bag after bag
• 9:35
Speaker 1: in this case haven't brought some kind of lawsuit against
• 9:38
Speaker 1: the Virgin Islands government. Especially now with J.P. Morgan making
• 9:42
Speaker 1: these claims, it certainly bolsters your argument if these claims
• 9:47
Speaker 1: have already been made in court. So I know that
• 9:49
Speaker 1: if I was one of these survivors, I'd be looking
• 9:51
Speaker 1: at suing the U.S. Virgin Islands for getting involved in
• 9:54
Speaker 1: the grift. They shouldn't have been involved in getting any
• 9:57
Speaker 1: money whatsoever, as we've talked about now. times before. It
• 10:01
Speaker 1: should have been about justice, but it never was. It
• 10:04
Speaker 1: was always about financial gain for the U.S. Virgin Islands,
• 10:08
Speaker 1: and it remains that way today. In April, Dimon told
• 10:13
Speaker 1: a CNN reporter, hindsight is a fabulous gift, when asked
• 10:16
Speaker 1: about whether the bank should have cut ties with Epstein
• 10:19
Speaker 1: after he pleaded guilty to soliciting a minor in 2008.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: Throughout his recent deposition, Diamond said he was unaware of
• 10:27
Speaker 1: internal strife surrounding Epstein and didn't realize Epstein was a
• 10:31
Speaker 1: JP Morgan customer until his New York arrest. I don't
• 10:35
Speaker 1: recall knowing anything about Jeffrey Epstein until the stories broke
• 10:39
Speaker 1: sometime in 2019. Diamond testified, adding that he had never
• 10:44
Speaker 1: heard of the guy. Oh, I'm sure you never heard
• 10:46
Speaker 1: of him. A guy in the financial sector saying he
• 10:49
Speaker 1: never heard of Jeffrey Epstein. Do you believe that? And
• 10:53
Speaker 1: this guy, Jamie Dimon, has political aspirations. You're going to
• 10:57
Speaker 1: run for office, huh, pal? Then again, considering some of
• 10:59
Speaker 1: the scumbags that have been elected, he'll probably win. Still,
• 11:04
Speaker 1: Dimon was questioned about Epstein's email exchanges in which he
• 11:07
Speaker 1: discussed plans to invite Dimon to his Manhattan home. One
• 11:11
Speaker 1: in 2009. with Staley suggested bringing Jane to a meeting,
• 11:16
Speaker 1: but Diamond testified he didn't know anything about it. I
• 11:19
Speaker 1: didn't know anything about Jeffrey. Diamond said, I never met
• 11:23
Speaker 1: Jeff Epstein, I never went to his house, I never
• 11:26
Speaker 1: went to an island, and I do not know exactly
• 11:29
Speaker 1: what he's referring to here. Diamond also testified about a
• 11:33
Speaker 1: 2010 email from Epstein's executive assistant, Leslie Groff, who discussed
• 11:38
Speaker 1: Epstein's evening appointments with Staley, Diamond, and another person whose
• 11:43
Speaker 1: name was redacted. Diamond again denied any knowledge of such
• 11:48
Speaker 1: a meeting. And it's amazing how this guy has amnesia
• 11:51
Speaker 1: all of a sudden. That dementia really kicks in when
• 11:54
Speaker 1: you need it to, huh? In 2012, according to the deposition,
• 11:59
Speaker 1: JPMorgan employees Paul Morris emailed Epstein about a partnership with
• 12:04
Speaker 1: a person whose name was redacted and said, I really
• 12:07
Speaker 1: appreciate everything you're doing, and this is a fantastic opportunity
• 12:12
Speaker 1: that you are opening the door to.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: I briefed our CEO.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: Diamond testified that he was unaware of Morris' apparent plan.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: So everybody who says that they talked to Diamond about
• 12:23
Speaker 1: Epstein is a liar, and Jamie Diamond is the ultimate
• 12:27
Speaker 1: truth teller. He is the ultimate arbiter of truth when
• 12:30
Speaker 1: it comes to this topic, obviously. When a plaintiff's lawyer asked,
• 12:34
Speaker 1: were you aware that Jeffrey Epstein was promoting you to
• 12:38
Speaker 1: contacts as a candidate for Secretary of the Treasury? Diamond answered, nope. Yeah, okay, sure,
• 12:44
Speaker 1: you had no idea. This was all a plan that
• 12:46
Speaker 1: old egg dick hatched on his own. Meanwhile, Erdos testified
• 12:51
Speaker 1: under oath that she twice visited Epstein's Manhattan lair in
• 12:55
Speaker 1: 2011 to settle a lawsuit that Mr. Epstein had against
• 12:59
Speaker 1: the bank regarding Bear Stearns hedge fund litigation and in
• 13:03
Speaker 1: 2013 to terminate him as a client. While Erdo's deposition
• 13:09
Speaker 1: raised questions about some of her emails, which show she
• 13:13
Speaker 1: was aware of news reports about Epstein's abuse and had
• 13:16
Speaker 1: even joked about Epstein, she testified that she didn't take
• 13:20
Speaker 1: action to review his accounts. Imagine you're joking about this
• 13:23
Speaker 1: dude diddling little girls. That's a funny topic to you.
• 13:28
Speaker 1: I guess when you hang out with all of these sick,
• 13:31
Speaker 1: degenerate bastards, all of these derelicts, then I guess that's
• 13:35
Speaker 1: just normal. But for most people, that's not something they
• 13:39
Speaker 1: joke about. If I was on an email chain and
• 13:42
Speaker 1: somebody's joking about diddling little kids, I'm walking directly to
• 13:45
Speaker 1: their office and slapping the motherfucking taste right out of
• 13:49
Speaker 1: their mouth. In one 2006 email, Staley told Erdos that
• 13:54
Speaker 1: he attended a Huggy Bear concert the night before and
• 13:57
Speaker 1: the age differences between husband and wives would have fit
• 14:01
Speaker 1: in well with Jeffrey.
• 14:02
Speaker 2: What a joke, Erdos replied.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: In 2007, JP Morgan employee Lisa Waters sent a New
• 14:10
Speaker 1: York Post article about Epstein's trafficking of underage girls to
• 14:14
Speaker 1: bank executives Phil Delorio, who then sent it to Erdos.
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: 7 a.m.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: This morning. Why does Lisa send that stuff? Erdos replied.
• 14:25
Speaker 1: Asked whether she ordered any further inquiry into Epstein as
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: a result, Erdos answered that she didn't recall. There's a
• 14:32
Speaker 1: normal process whereby legal risk and compliance... will take negative
• 14:36
Speaker 1: media searches, Erdos testified, and escalate them as appropriate to
• 14:41
Speaker 1: whichever banker is responsible for said relationship and will dispose
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: of that issue.
• 14:46
Speaker 2: One way or another.
• 14:47
Speaker 1: And that's how it's supposed to work. You have a
• 14:50
Speaker 1: whole bunch of checks and balances that are supposed to
• 14:53
Speaker 1: catch the bullshit. And when you have compliance and risk
• 14:57
Speaker 1: both on board with your grift or with whatever lick
• 15:01
Speaker 1: you're pulling here, then it's very difficult for anyone to
• 15:04
Speaker 1: know what's going on. Because all of these transactions that
• 15:07
Speaker 1: he was making, it was all structuring. And all of
• 15:10
Speaker 1: that should have been flagged and sent to Vinson. But
• 15:13
Speaker 1: none of it was. So all of that illegal withdrawal
• 15:17
Speaker 1: that was happening was then used in the commission of
• 15:20
Speaker 1: a crime. So how in the world is JP Morgan
• 15:24
Speaker 1: not liable here? How are they not culpable? Erdos referred
• 15:28
Speaker 1: to Epstein's sex crimes again in 2010 in an email
• 15:32
Speaker 1: to Staley. The feds may not quite be done with J.E.,
• 15:36
Speaker 1: she wrote, according to her deposition. The banking honchos said
• 15:40
Speaker 1: she didn't recall asking J.P. Morgan to probe Epstein that year,
• 15:44
Speaker 1: instead allowing the process to happen with legal risk and
• 15:48
Speaker 1: compliance teams. At another point, Erdos testified that Staley was
• 15:53
Speaker 1: the most senior executive on the Jeffrey Epstein relationship and
• 15:57
Speaker 1: should have had the proper conversations with legal risk and
• 16:00
Speaker 1: compliance about the situation. There's no doubt he should have
• 16:04
Speaker 1: been all over it, but not just him. The second
• 16:07
Speaker 1: that you knew about this as an executive in the company,
• 16:10
Speaker 1: I don't want to hear the nonsense. Oh, that's someone
• 16:12
Speaker 1: else's client because the whole company is on the hook now, right?
• 16:16
Speaker 1: So you have to do the right thing as an executive,
• 16:19
Speaker 1: have some morality, have a little bit of backbone and
• 16:22
Speaker 1: stand up to your bosses and say, look, this isn't right.
• 16:25
Speaker 1: And if that doesn't work, then you have to go
• 16:27
Speaker 1: to the next step and become a whistleblower.
• 16:30
Speaker 2: Nobody did that. Why didn't they do that? Because greed.
• 16:34
  Speaker 2: Greed over people.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: And when you're talking about the financial sector, that's all
• 16:39
Speaker 1: it is. You think these people give one good goddamn
• 16:42
Speaker 1: about any of your lives? They do not. You're just
• 16:45
Speaker 1: another banknote to them. You're just another loan to them.
• 16:49
  Speaker 2: Nothing else.
• 16:51
Speaker 1: The deposition also referred to emails among JP Morgan staff
• 16:55
Speaker 1: about a 2011 meeting addressing concerns over abuse accusations against Epstein.
• 17:00
Speaker 1: Jess Daly discussed the topic with Jeffrey, who replied there
• 17:04
Speaker 1: was no truth to the allegations, no evidence, and was
• 17:07
Speaker 1: not expecting any problems. One email stated, well, talk about
• 17:12
Speaker 1: going right to the source, huh? Imagine going to Epstein
• 17:15
Speaker 1: to confirm that he's not a scumbag. Hey, Jeffrey, did
• 17:18
Speaker 1: you do that? Nah, we're all good. Okay, Jeffrey says
• 17:21
Speaker 1: we didn't do it, folks, so we're all good. Let
• 17:23
Speaker 1: him pull out 50 grand each week. Meanwhile, go and
• 17:26
Speaker 1: try and move money from PayPal over a certain amount
• 17:29
Speaker 1: in a week and see how that.
• 17:30
Speaker 2: Works out for you.
• 17:32
Speaker 1: Erdos testified that she terminated Epstein's relationship with the bank
• 17:37
Speaker 1: after Staley's departure in 2013, saying Staley was no longer
• 17:41
Speaker 1: there to advocate for Epstein and that she had concerns
• 17:45
Speaker 1: about his large cash withdrawals. Oh, now you have concerns, huh?
• 17:49
Speaker 1: You didn't have those concerns before, right? But all of
• 17:51
Speaker 1: a sudden, now you have concerns. Your concern is you're
• 17:55
Speaker 1: about to be outed. Your concern is how bad it's
• 17:57
Speaker 1: going to make you look. You know what their concern
• 18:00
Speaker 1: is not? The fact that they were in business with
• 18:02
Speaker 1: this scumbag in the first place. They knew from the
• 18:05
Speaker 1: very beginning. And I don't care what they say at
• 18:07
Speaker 1: this point. The proof is there for us to see.
• 18:10
Speaker 1: Internal bank documents cited in the deposition reveal that Epstein
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: routinely made cash withdrawals of $ 40, 000 to $ 80, 000 several times
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: a month for a total of more than $ 750, 000 a year.
• 18:25
Speaker 1: Erdos testified that Epstein claimed the cash was for aviation
• 18:29
Speaker 1: fuel and landing fees in other countries. According to police,
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: Epstein paid teenage girls $ 200 to $ 300, sometimes even $ 1, 000,
• 18:40
Speaker 1: after he abused them at his mansion in Palm Beach
• 18:43
Speaker 1: and elsewhere. And he was giving that money out so
• 18:45
Speaker 1: he could say that these girls are prostitutes. That was
• 18:48
Speaker 1: part of the lick, right? Oh, I'll give them money,
• 18:51
Speaker 1: and then if I ever get caught, I'll just say
• 18:53
Speaker 1: that they were prostitutes. And it worked out well for
• 18:55
Speaker 1: him down in Florida, considering... When a lawyer asked Erdos,
• 19:00
Speaker 1: based on what you know now, do you believe that Mr.
• 19:03
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was in fact involved in child or sex
• 19:06
Speaker 1: trafficking during the period of 2006 through 2013? She answered,
• 19:12
Speaker 1: I don't know what to believe. Imagine that. Talk about
• 19:15
Speaker 1: an absolute slap in the face to all of these survivors.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: You don't know what to believe? Ghislaine Maxwell just got convicted.
• 19:22
Speaker 1: You don't believe the conviction? How about all the money
• 19:25
Speaker 1: paid out by the estate? You don't believe in that restitution?
• 19:29
Speaker 1: What are you even talking about, Mary Erdos? In fact,
• 19:32
Speaker 1: she should be fired. In her letter to Erdos, Wilde
• 19:36
Speaker 1: said that Epstein was able to lure me and many
• 19:39
Speaker 1: high school kids to his house where he abused us
• 19:42
Speaker 1: in exchange for paying us hundreds of dollars. As an adult,
• 19:46
Speaker 1: I am now learning how he was able to access
• 19:49
Speaker 1: an unlimited supply of cash in violation of banking laws
• 19:53
Speaker 1: she continued and she is not wrong and as a
• 19:56
Speaker 1: kid how are you supposed to know that you don't
• 19:57
Speaker 1: know anything about the banking laws especially a kid that
• 20:00
Speaker 1: comes from the other side of the tracks these kids
• 20:04
Speaker 1: are lucky that you know they have the basic skills
• 20:06
Speaker 1: to get through the day Never mind knowing about Title
• 20:10
Speaker 1: 31 and money laundering laws. And for me, that has
• 20:14
Speaker 1: always been another reason that I've been so upset about
• 20:17
Speaker 1: what went on here. All the type of people that
• 20:19
Speaker 1: he targeted and went after are all the same kind
• 20:22
Speaker 1: of people that I grew up with. Girls from broken homes.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: Girls that, you know, had parents that were both at work.
• 20:29
Speaker 1: Stuff like that. Those are the very people that I
• 20:31
  Speaker 1: grew up with.
• 20:32
Speaker 2: In the inner city.
• 20:33
Speaker 1: And as if it wasn't bad enough that he's targeting
• 20:35
Speaker 1: young girls and women... He's targeting girls that have already
• 20:39
Speaker 1: had rough lives. And that's all because he knew that
• 20:42
Speaker 1: it would be easier for him to rope them in.
• 20:46
Speaker 1: Wilde accused JP Morgan of failing to notify authorities about
• 20:50
Speaker 1: Epstein's suspicious cash withdrawals. You could have helped us, she wrote. Instead,
• 20:55
Speaker 1: you chose to help him. That's just evil. She added
• 20:58
Speaker 1: that she chose to write Erdos because she's a mother herself.
• 21:02
Speaker 1: If you put yourself in our shoes, you would expect
• 21:04
Speaker 1: more from someone in your position. I think that's a
• 21:07
Speaker 1: fair statement. I think any of us would. We just
• 21:10
Speaker 1: want someone somewhere to admit wrongdoing, promise to make changes
• 21:14
Speaker 1: so this never happens again, and recognize the pain.
• 21:18
  Speaker 2: We all suffered.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: The Daily Beast reviewed a second letter to Erdos from
• 21:23
Speaker 1: a former model who signed her name as another Jane Doe.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: The woman wrote that Epstein assaulted her when she was
• 21:30
Speaker 1: 23 and visited Epstein's New York townhouse for what she
• 21:33
Speaker 1: believed was a job interview. I am beyond shocked and
• 21:37
Speaker 1: saddened to learn that a well-known international banking institution knew
• 21:41
Speaker 1: about Epstein's heinous crimes against young women and children and
• 21:45
Speaker 1: did nothing to expose it, she wrote, adding, Please do
• 21:49
Speaker 1: the right thing and help us now. To date, Robson
• 21:52
Speaker 1: and Weil say no one at the bank has replied
• 21:55
Speaker 1: to their letters. No response is no response, Weil told
• 21:59
  Speaker 1: the Daily Beast.
• 22:00
  Speaker 2: J.P.
• 22:00
Speaker 1: Morgan has always cared more about protecting Jeffrey or protecting
• 22:04
Speaker 1: themselves than protecting us. She is not wrong about any
• 22:08
Speaker 1: of it. But yet JP Morgan continues to get away
• 22:12
Speaker 1: with it. And now that they're getting sued, finally, the
• 22:15
Speaker 1: curtain is also getting pulled back and the general public
• 22:18
Speaker 1: is getting a little bit of a look at what
• 22:20
Speaker 1: all of us have known for a very long time.
• 22:23
Speaker 1: The financial sector is absolutely corrupt and Jeffrey Epstein couldn't
• 22:28
Speaker 1: have done what he did without their help. All right, folks,
• 22:31
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All of
• 22:33
Speaker 1: the information that goes with the episode can be found
• 22:36
Speaker 1: in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome back
• 22:40
Speaker 1: to the Epstein Chronicles. In today's episode, we're going to
• 22:44
Speaker 1: hear from Epstein survivor Elizabeth Stein, who is calling for
• 22:49
Speaker 1: accountability from the people who are being named in this
• 22:52
Speaker 1: document dump. And she's also calling for accountability within the FBI.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: So let's dive into this article from the Daily Mail.
• 23:00
Speaker 1: And let's see what Elizabeth Stein and her lawyer have
• 23:03
Speaker 1: to say. This article was published by the Daily Mail
• 23:06
Speaker 1: and the headline. Jeffrey Epstein survivor Elizabeth Stein calls for
• 23:11
Speaker 1: people named in retraumatizing document dump to speak up as
• 23:14
Speaker 1: lawyer threatens to sue the FBI for ignoring complaints of
• 23:18
Speaker 1: another victim. And how many times do we have to
• 23:20
Speaker 1: hear that story about the FBI when it comes to
• 23:23
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein? These guys are out here acting like nothing happened,
• 23:27
Speaker 1: like everything's all good, and like there literally aren't hundreds
• 23:31
Speaker 1: of women out there and girls who were abused. And
• 23:34
Speaker 1: it's just baffling to me. You would think that they'd
• 23:37
Speaker 1: be all over it, right? Usually, if they sink their
• 23:39
Speaker 1: teeth into something, meaning the feds, forget it. And we
• 23:42
Speaker 1: all know taking down people like Epstein and Maxwell and
• 23:45
Speaker 1: their friends, that's the kind of shit that prosecutors build
• 23:48
Speaker 1: careers on. But for some reason, there's no prosecutors here
• 23:52
Speaker 1: that have the courage to go after Epstein and his
• 23:55
Speaker 1: garbage ass friends. And it's crazy to see that Keith Ranieri,
• 23:59
Speaker 1: he gets recode. R. Kelly, he gets RICO'd. Young Thug, RICO'd.
• 24:03
Speaker 1: Donald Trump down there in Atlanta, down in Georgia, he
• 24:06
Speaker 1: gets RICO'd. No RICO for Glenn Maxwell though, huh? I
• 24:09
Speaker 1: wonder why. What are they hiding? And what was the
• 24:12
Speaker 1: FBI attempting to hide? That's a question everybody should have.
• 24:17
Speaker 1: The unfortunate part is, we'll probably never have a legitimate
• 24:21
Speaker 1: answer because we know that the FBI has no desire
• 24:24
Speaker 1: to be transparent when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein. This
• 24:28
Speaker 1: article was authored by Alex Hammer. A survivor of Jeffrey
• 24:33
Speaker 1: Epstein's sex trafficking ring has detailed her reaction to this
• 24:37
Speaker 1: month's re-traumatizing document dump, which has her lawyer already airing
• 24:41
Speaker 1: plans to sue the FBI. And I think that's a
• 24:44
Speaker 1: good idea. Just like the gymnasts are going to sue
• 24:47
Speaker 1: the FBI over Larry Nassar, I think that all of
• 24:49
Speaker 1: the Epstein survivors should get together, sue the FBI, and
• 24:53
Speaker 1: especially sue the USVI like they're doing. How many times
• 24:57
Speaker 1: have I said that in the past four years? The
• 24:59
Speaker 1: United States Virgin Islands, they are hip deep in Epstein's bullshit.
• 25:04
Speaker 1: And the fact that they got one single dollar is
• 25:06
Speaker 1: just Bonkers to me.
• 25:08
  Speaker 2: Bonkers.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: Then you have the FBI over here that has no
• 25:11
Speaker 1: problem going after their political opponents. But if you're a
• 25:14
Speaker 1: part of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise, forget it.
• 25:16
Speaker 2: You're all good. No worries.
• 25:18
Speaker 1: Joined by attorney Jennifer Freeman, Elizabeth Stein said she was
• 25:22
Speaker 1: also suing Ghislaine Maxwell and the late sex pest estate
• 25:26
Speaker 1: after reading an impact statement at the socialite sentencing that
• 25:29
Speaker 1: claimed she was a student when Maxwell approached her. Speaking
• 25:33
Speaker 1: to Law and Crime, she provided a similar account of
• 25:36
Speaker 1: how she was allegedly thrust into Epstein's sordid syndicate before
• 25:40
Speaker 1: detailing how the document release has impacted her and others
• 25:45
Speaker 1: who have come forward. And look, there is no doubt
• 25:48
Speaker 1: that it's re-traumatizing. But what's really frustrating for people, survivors included,
• 25:53
Speaker 1: is when this stuff pops up and then there's no action.
• 25:57
Speaker 1: You get all of this new information, well, new to
• 25:59
Speaker 1: the masses anyway, but there's never any action that follows it. Oh,
• 26:03
Speaker 1: there's some outrage, right? There's people saying that there needs
• 26:06
Speaker 1: to be justice, but there never is. The FBI's never
• 26:09
Speaker 1: held accountable. Nobody in power lost their job, right? Hell,
• 26:12
Speaker 1: nobody at the lockup where Epstein allegedly killed himself ended
• 26:16
Speaker 1: up facing any real repercussions. Oh, people lost their job.
• 26:20
Speaker 1: People had to, you know, get some charges thrown against
• 26:22
Speaker 1: them that were dropped. But has there ever been any
• 26:25
Speaker 1: real accountability here? There has not. She called the release
• 26:28
Speaker 1: and subsequent lack of action triggering, but necessary, if those involved,
• 26:32
Speaker 1: apart from Maxwell, are ever to be held accountable. Freeman, meanwhile,
• 26:37
Speaker 1: unveiled her plans to sue the U.S. 's foremost federal
• 26:40
Speaker 1: law enforcement agency, claiming they ignored reports from another Epstein
• 26:43
Speaker 1: accuser and that the government knew what the financier, you
• 26:47
Speaker 1: mean pedophile, was doing and they allowed it. Look, I'm
• 26:50
Speaker 1: on board with that and I think that's exactly what happened.
• 26:53
  Speaker 1: I don't know who allowed it, right? I can't look
• 26:55
Speaker 1: at you and say... so-and-so from the FBI was involved
• 27:00
Speaker 1: in all of this. But do you really think that
• 27:02
Speaker 1: they don't have operations that they're running in the black
• 27:05
Speaker 1: where none of us are even hip to what's going on?
• 27:09
Speaker 1: Because that's how intelligence works. There's a lot of stuff
• 27:12
Speaker 1: going on in the background right now that none of
• 27:14
Speaker 1: us are aware of that I'm sure a lot of
• 27:16
Speaker 1: us would be sickened by. But that's how this all works.
• 27:19
Speaker 1: And then if they get nailed, if they get in trouble,
• 27:22
Speaker 1: they'll just have plausible deniability. They'll burn their asset like
• 27:25
Speaker 1: they did Epstein. They'll burn their asset like they did Maxwell.
• 27:28
Speaker 1: And they'll keep it moving. I mean, this scheme was
• 27:30
Speaker 1: old when Jesus was young. The conversation began when host
• 27:35
Speaker 1: Jesse Weber asked Stein how she feels now that more
• 27:39
Speaker 1: than 100 previously redacted names on a long-settled lawsuit against
• 27:43
Speaker 1: Maxwell from fellow survivor Virginia Roberts have been made public.
• 27:48
Speaker 1: To that, the woman who claims that she was assaulted, raped,
• 27:51
Speaker 1: and trafficked countless times over the course of a three-year
• 27:53
Speaker 1: period replied, I think that you know one of the
• 27:57
Speaker 1: pieces that we really haven't heard about in the media
• 28:00
Speaker 1: is what the impact is on the survivors. And that's
• 28:03
Speaker 1: something we talk about all the time. This is not
• 28:05
Speaker 1: easy for them. You know, for most people, they're reading
• 28:08
Speaker 1: about this. It's a name on a page. Real people
• 28:11
Speaker 1: are living through this. Real people are living with this
• 28:14
Speaker 1: baggage weighing them down on a day to day. So
• 28:17
Speaker 1: when the stuff gets brought back up in the media
• 28:19
Speaker 1: and there's no repercussions for the people who are involved,
• 28:22
Speaker 1: that has to be triggering.
• 28:23
Speaker 2: It has to be frustrating.
• 28:25
Speaker 1: And I would definitely be looking for some sort of relief.
• 28:28
Speaker 1: And if that's suing the federal government, then so be it.
• 28:32
Speaker 1: I think that, you know, all of us who have
• 28:33
Speaker 1: come forward and told our stories, it's taken a lot,
• 28:36
Speaker 1: you know. It takes a lot for a person to
• 28:39
Speaker 1: talk about the worst things that ever happened to them,
• 28:42
Speaker 1: she continued. She went on to explain why trying the
• 28:45
Speaker 1: nitty-gritty of details in Robert's suit, which was settled out
• 28:48
Speaker 1: of court in 2007, to certain names is important, claiming
• 28:52
Speaker 1: that without them, the public will never know the true
• 28:55
Speaker 1: extent of Epstein's and others' crimes. And she's not wrong
• 28:59
Speaker 1: about that. This all adds receipts, right? Like I've said before,
• 29:03
Speaker 1: this adds receipts to the top of the pile where
• 29:06
Speaker 1: the unsullied, meaning people who have no idea what they're
• 29:08
Speaker 1: looking at, can take a look and say, oh shit,
• 29:11
Speaker 1: this isn't just all salacious. This isn't just made up.
• 29:14
Speaker 1: There are court documents backing all of this up. So
• 29:17
Speaker 1: what's the real here? And then once people start taking
• 29:20
Speaker 1: a look at what really went down and the real
• 29:22
Speaker 1: accounts of the survivors, inevitably, the vast majority of people
• 29:27
Speaker 1: who look at that know that something was fucked up.
• 29:29
Speaker 1: And I don't just mean by Jeffrey Epstein and his
• 29:31
Speaker 1: disgusting friends. I mean by all the people that were
• 29:34
Speaker 1: supposed to stop him. All the people that were in
• 29:36
Speaker 1: power to stop him. And all the people, like those
• 29:39
Speaker 1: at the... FBI, who refused to stop him. To some extent,
• 29:44
Speaker 1: I think that you were able to, I don't want
• 29:46
Speaker 1: to say, control the public narrative, because that's not what
• 29:49
Speaker 1: I mean. But I think when you tell your story,
• 29:51
Speaker 1: you're telling your general story without all of the details,
• 29:55
Speaker 1: Stein said, and it's important to have context. And we
• 29:58
Speaker 1: live in a world where people want that context, right?
• 30:00
Speaker 1: People want receipts. People want information that backs up the
• 30:04
Speaker 1: story because there is so much misinformation out there. And
• 30:08
Speaker 1: there are so many misinformation peddlers that you have to
• 30:11
Speaker 1: be very cautious of what you're being told. But when
• 30:14
Speaker 1: it comes to people like Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell
• 30:17
Speaker 1: and all these women with the same stories, I'm here
• 30:19
Speaker 1: to tell you this shit happened. And all of these
• 30:22
Speaker 1: disgusting animals who took part need to be held accountable
• 30:26
Speaker 1: one way or the other. And I think that one
• 30:28
Speaker 1: of the things that we need to consider is that
• 30:31
Speaker 1: this document release is a release of all the intimate
• 30:33
Speaker 1: details of these survivors' experiences. So while people might know
• 30:38
Speaker 1: what these women are, survivors, they might not know, you know,
• 30:41
Speaker 1: the minutiae of what their experience was. And while it's painful,
• 30:45
Speaker 1: and while it's disgusting, and while none of us want
• 30:48
Speaker 1: to hear it, and believe me when I tell you,
• 30:50
Speaker 1: I do not want to read it on air, I
• 30:52
Speaker 1: believe it's important for everybody to have a whole face
• 30:54
Speaker 1: full of what really went on. not a passive version,
• 30:59
Speaker 1: not a version that's retold through the eyes of a journalist,
• 31:02
Speaker 1: but straight from the source, right from the survivors, and
• 31:06
Speaker 1: right from their own depositions. And I think that it's
• 31:08
Speaker 1: important to remember that it's re-traumatizing to survivors, she continued.
• 31:13
Speaker 1: You know, it's one thing to have public know, generally,
• 31:16
Speaker 1: that you're the survivor of human trafficking, she added. It's
• 31:19
Speaker 1: another thing to have them know the very gory details
• 31:22
Speaker 1: and the most intimate secrets of your life. She went
• 31:25
Speaker 1: on to concede that that while having such details available
• 31:28
Speaker 1: to the greater public is really difficult, it provides a
• 31:32
Speaker 1: solution for what she said has been missing from the
• 31:34
Speaker 1: Epstein conversation until now. The survivor's voice. The most important part.
• 31:40
Speaker 1: I don't know how many times I've had to say it.
• 31:42
Speaker 1: And believe me, I'm not some believe-all-women activist. You all
• 31:45
Speaker 1: know that by now. I follow the truth wherever it goes.
• 31:50
Speaker 1: And the truth, when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, is
• 31:53
Speaker 1: fucking disgusting. It's what is the impact on us? And
• 31:56
Speaker 1: for a lot of us, you know, Stein said, this
• 31:59
Speaker 1: is a sex trafficking ring that went on for decades
• 32:02
Speaker 1: and all of the survivors are at various places in
• 32:05
Speaker 1: their recovery. That's true too. Not everybody is going to
• 32:08
Speaker 1: recover at the same rate. Some people recovered quickly. Other
• 32:12
Speaker 1: people are going to carry this the rest of their lives,
• 32:14
Speaker 1: even if they get the best therapy in the history
• 32:17
Speaker 1: of therapy. And that's because the abuse was so prolonged
• 32:21
Speaker 1: and it was so egregious. She added, and to be
• 32:24
Speaker 1: bombarded by this constantly in the news and to feel
• 32:27
Speaker 1: the invalidation that nothing really is being done about it
• 32:31
Speaker 1: is consistently triggering to the victims. The conversation at that
• 32:35
Speaker 1: point hovered around the potential ethical and legal implications of
• 32:39
Speaker 1: the recent document release, which Freeman explained likely would have
• 32:42
Speaker 1: gone unnoticed if it was still an ongoing litigation between
• 32:46
Speaker 1: two people. If it were a private deposition, she said,
• 32:49
Speaker 1: other accusers might not have known that the details were
• 32:52
Speaker 1: going to be released. She went on to offer a
• 32:55
Speaker 1: theory as to why Epstein's crimes went unnoticed for so
• 32:58
Speaker 1: many years, one that involved another one of her clients
• 33:01
Speaker 1: in Maria Farmer, the first to file a formal complaint
• 33:04
Speaker 1: against Epstein and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Bureau
• 33:09
Speaker 1: was the agency that Farmer, a visual artist based in
• 33:12
Speaker 1: New York who was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor
• 33:16
Speaker 1: in 2019, contacted in 1996 and again in 2006 to
• 33:21
Speaker 1: report how she was, her then 15-year-old sister, had been
• 33:25
Speaker 1: allegedly sexually assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell in separate locations
• 33:29
Speaker 1: in 1996. The FBI never made an arrest, a decision
• 33:34
Speaker 1: Freeman called dubious at best. So it's cool to traffic women.
• 33:38
Speaker 1: It's cool to traffic kids. But if you have a
• 33:40
Speaker 1: gambling shop, forget it. You're going to get nailed. They're
• 33:43
Speaker 1: going to come in, kick in your door, 6 a.m.,
• 33:45
Speaker 1: drag you out in front of all of your neighbors,
• 33:47
Speaker 1: the whole thing. But if you're Jeffrey Epstein, they'll give
• 33:51
Speaker 1: you a call, and then they'll meet you at the
• 33:52
Speaker 1: tarmac at Teterboro, and they'll arrest you without any pomp
• 33:56
Speaker 1: and circumstance. But you or I, forget it. They're going
• 33:58
Speaker 1: to drag you out of the house, make you look
• 34:00
Speaker 1: like fucking Hannibal Lecter, and embarrass you.
• 34:03
Speaker 2: But not Maxwell. Not Epstein.
• 34:06
Speaker 1: And that's your FBI folks in a nutshell. I filed
• 34:09
Speaker 1: what's called a notice of claim, which is a statutory
• 34:12
Speaker 1: prerequisite to bringing a claim against a federal agency like
• 34:15
Speaker 1: the FBI. She explained, we will be filing a lawsuit
• 34:19
Speaker 1: in the near future against the FBI to find out why,
• 34:23
Speaker 1: when Maria Farmer reported Epstein and Maxwell and others in 1996,
• 34:27
Speaker 1: the FBI did nothing. And then why in 2006, When
• 34:32
Speaker 1: she reported again, they did nothing. Referencing Roberts, whose alleged
• 34:36
Speaker 1: plight at the hands of Epstein lasted from 1999 to 2002,
• 34:40
Speaker 1: Freeman went on, and why was another of our clients
• 34:43
Speaker 1: trafficked at the very time that he was supposedly, Epstein
• 34:47
Speaker 1: was supposedly being investigated in Florida, yet she was trafficked
• 34:51
Speaker 1: in New York and on his island? She concluded after U.S.
• 34:55
Speaker 1: District Judge Loretta Preska's 51-page order last month revealed how
• 34:59
Speaker 1: Roberts previously alleged she was forced to have sex with
• 35:02
Speaker 1: the Duke of York three times at the behest of
• 35:05
Speaker 1: both Epstein and Maxwell in London, New York, and on
• 35:09
Speaker 1: his private Caribbean island. How could this happen under the
• 35:12
Speaker 1: FBI's nose? The attorney at this point asked, citing Stein's
• 35:15
Speaker 1: similar plight, that she claims took place in New York
• 35:18
Speaker 1: and Florida between 1994 and 1997. We have lots of theories,
• 35:24
Speaker 1: she went on, but we would really love to be
• 35:26
Speaker 1: able to get the information to understand what really happened here.
• 35:30
Speaker 1: Did they just not care about these young girls, or
• 35:33
Speaker 1: was there some kind of This is just an allegation.
• 35:36
Speaker 1: Confidential relationship with Epstein. So the government knew what he
• 35:39
Speaker 1: was doing and allowed it because he was serving some
• 35:42
Speaker 1: function for the government. We just don't know, she admitted.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: And look, there's a lot of truth to that. I
• 35:47
Speaker 1: can't sit here and 100 percent surely point you in
• 35:50
Speaker 1: a direction of the evidence. But when you look at
• 35:53
Speaker 1: how everything broke and you look at Jeffrey Epstein not
• 35:56
Speaker 1: getting nailed ever for anything he was ever up to,
• 35:59
Speaker 1: including what happened at Bears and Stearns? Well, it's not
• 36:02
Speaker 1: very difficult to deduce that Epstein was working for the government.
• 36:07
Speaker 1: And when I say that, I don't mean he was
• 36:09
Speaker 1: in the CIA. I don't mean that he was actually
• 36:12
Speaker 1: on the payroll, but like Whitey Bulger or like any
• 36:15
Speaker 1: informant that they cultivate. Don't think for a minute that
• 36:18
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein being a child molester is out of bounds
• 36:22
Speaker 1: for our intelligence services. They're in bed with all kinds
• 36:25
Speaker 1: of scumbags, folks. I hate to break the news to you,
• 36:29
Speaker 1: Right now as we speak, they're in bed with a
• 36:31
Speaker 1: bunch of scumbags. They let Sammy the Bull Gravano out
• 36:34
Speaker 1: of prison after he admitted to 19 murders. That's how
• 36:37
Speaker 1: bad they wanted to get John Gotti. So if you
• 36:40
Speaker 1: think they won't get into bed with Jeffrey Epstein, you're
• 36:44
Speaker 1: sorely mistaken. Citing the recent document dump as sort of
• 36:48
Speaker 1: a first step, to securing this sort of knowledge, Freeman said,
• 36:51
Speaker 1: it's really hard to know without litigation, without having the
• 36:54
Speaker 1: facts getting to the bottom of what really happened. And
• 36:58
Speaker 1: for anybody who needed a crash course in, you know, litigation,
• 37:01
Speaker 1: she added, clearly seeing this litigation between Maxwell and Roberts,
• 37:05
Speaker 1: you see how much information can actually come up.
• 37:08
Speaker 2: And this is true.
• 37:10
Speaker 1: The only way we're ever going to get to the
• 37:12
Speaker 1: bottom of what happened is through litigation, because none of
• 37:15
Speaker 1: these people are going to come forward on their own.
• 37:17
Speaker 1: So they have to be compelled. In the settled filing,
• 37:20
Speaker 1: Roberts accuses Maxwell of helping Epstein trafficker as a minor
• 37:23
Speaker 1: before naming various influential figures allegedly involved. Preska's 51-page order,
• 37:29
Speaker 1: issued on December 18th, unmasked 184 of those figures previously
• 37:34
Speaker 1: listed as either John or Jane Doe's, leading to a
• 37:37
Speaker 1: litany of discoveries. Its release has been highly anticipated, as
• 37:42
Speaker 1: had many alleged they were being withheld from the public
• 37:45
Speaker 1: eye after the lawsuit was settled at a court in 2017.
• 37:49
Speaker 1: Republicans in Congress have since fought for its release, including
• 37:53
Speaker 1: the names of powerful friends and acquaintances of the pedophile
• 37:56
Speaker 1: who flew on his private jet. Maxwell, meanwhile, been sentenced
• 38:00
Speaker 1: to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking as part
• 38:03
Speaker 1: of a separate criminal case at the age of 62.
• 38:07
Speaker 1: And as far as the lawmakers trying to get information, look,
• 38:11
Speaker 1: don't just talk the talk, walk the walk. But now
• 38:14
Speaker 1: that they've said it, as I said previously, I plan
• 38:17
Speaker 1: on holding them accountable. So if you think that Marsha
• 38:20
Speaker 1: Blackburn's getting off easy now, you have another thing coming.
• 38:23
Speaker 1: I will be contacting her office and making sure that
• 38:26
Speaker 1: they follow through. One of them was Prince Andrew, who
• 38:30
Speaker 1: was named in a separate suit filed by her that
• 38:32
Speaker 1: was also settled but appeared again in the unredacted lawsuit.
• 38:36
Speaker 1: A total of 15 others were accused of serious wrongdoing,
• 38:39
Speaker 1: while 90 are described as having been affiliated with Epstein
• 38:43
Speaker 1: in some way. So everybody who's accused of serious wrongdoing,
• 38:46
Speaker 1: there needs to be a robust investigation. I can't believe
• 38:50
Speaker 1: I even have to say that. That should just be basic,
• 38:53
Speaker 1: common knowledge, but not for the FBI, I guess. Meanwhile,
• 38:56
Speaker 1: Stein read an impact statement at the socialite sentencing saying
• 39:00
Speaker 1: she was a student when Maxwell approached her and brought
• 39:03
Speaker 1: her into the syndicate. I was assaulted, raped, and trafficked
• 39:07
Speaker 1: countless times in New York and Florida during a three-year period.
• 39:11
Speaker 1: Stein said in court, adding that she at one point
• 39:14
Speaker 1: became pregnant and had an abortion. She seeks damages in
• 39:17
Speaker 1: a lawsuit filed Wednesday which names two executors for Epstein's estate,
• 39:22
Speaker 1: along with Maxwell. In 1992, when Stein was a teenager,
• 39:27
Speaker 1: attending Fashion Institute of Technology, she began interning at the
• 39:31
Speaker 1: now-defunct Henry Bendell department store. So another person at fit.
• 39:36
Speaker 1: We've been going through the Sarah Ransom deposition, and that
• 39:39
Speaker 1: was the promise that Epstein and Maxwell made her, right? Oh,
• 39:42
Speaker 1: we'll get you into fit. So again, another one of
• 39:45
Speaker 1: these institutions that pops up over and over and over again.
• 39:49
Speaker 1: So is anybody going to ask Fit how many other
• 39:52
Speaker 1: girls might have been pulled out of their school?
• 39:55
Speaker 2: I mean, come on.
• 39:56
Speaker 1: This is basic investigatory work. About two years into the job,
• 40:00
Speaker 1: when she was 21, Maxwell approached her according to the
• 40:04
Speaker 1: criminal complaint. As Maxwell shopped, she allegedly claimed that her
• 40:08
Speaker 1: colleague was close friends with Les Wexner, former CEO of
• 40:12
Speaker 1: Victoria's Secret, whose retailing and marketing conglomerate once owned Henry Bendel.
• 40:18
Speaker 1: So again, another tie that binds. How many times are
• 40:20
Speaker 1: we going to see Victoria's Secret? How many times are
• 40:23
Speaker 1: we going to see Les Wexner's name? Again, another guy
• 40:26
Speaker 1: that's escaped accountability. What we're going to forget, what Maria
• 40:29
Speaker 1: told us, that she was held on the Epstein property
• 40:33
Speaker 1: that's located on Wexner's property in New Albany, and she
• 40:36
Speaker 1: wasn't allowed to leave by Wexner's team of security. I
• 40:39
Speaker 1: guess I have to repost that interview with Maria that
• 40:42
Speaker 1: I had a little while back. The complaint states that
• 40:46
Speaker 1: Maxwell later asked Stein to deliver her purchases to the St.
• 40:49
Speaker 1: Regis on Fifth Avenue. There, the concierge directed her to
• 40:53
Speaker 1: the bar where Maxwell and Epstein were drinking. Stein joined
• 40:57
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Epstein in a hotel room to deliver the packages.
• 41:01
Speaker 1: The pair allegedly changed into monogrammed bathrobes before asking about
• 41:05
Speaker 1: Stein's personal and sex life. They allegedly began kissing and
• 41:10
Speaker 1: touching each other before asking if Stein had ever participated
• 41:14
Speaker 1: in a threesome. Maxwell then encouraged Stein to join them
• 41:17
Speaker 1: and assured her it would be fun. The complaint reads,
• 41:19
Speaker 1: At one point, Stein allegedly asked to stop and was ignored.
• 41:37
Speaker 1: The duo relented after she said her then-boyfriend was on
• 41:40
Speaker 1: his way home, but as she headed out, Epstein handed
• 41:43
Speaker 1: her cash and stated it was a tip. The complaint reads,
• 41:47
Speaker 1: and that, exactly right there, was what he would do. Now,
• 41:51
Speaker 1: in his mind, she's a prostitute, and he paid her
• 41:53
Speaker 1: for her services, so it's not assault. And you know
• 41:56
Speaker 1: what the sad truth is? A lot of people bought
• 41:58
Speaker 1: that BS when he pitched it. Stein felt confused, betrayed, humiliated,
• 42:03
Speaker 1: and completely violated by the gesture, and What followed was
• 42:07
Speaker 1: a three-year nightmare, according to the complaint. In 1994, Stein
• 42:12
Speaker 1: was asked to be an assistant manager at Henry Bendel,
• 42:14
Speaker 1: but she declined the role to focus on her schooling.
• 42:17
Speaker 1: Months later, Maxwell called Stein, furious that she'd turned down
• 42:21
Speaker 1: the job offer that Maxwell and Epstein were involved in securing,
• 42:25
Speaker 1: the complaint says. Stein took a job at Bloomingdale's after graduation,
• 42:29
Speaker 1: but Maxwell allegedly came in a few months later and
• 42:32
Speaker 1: befriended her again. In the fall of 1995, Maxwell invited
• 42:37
Speaker 1: Stein over to Epstein's home for a dinner party where
• 42:40
Speaker 1: Stein was brought to a room with a massage table.
• 42:43
Speaker 1: According to the complaint, she was made to engage in
• 42:45
Speaker 1: sexual acts with others in the room. Months later, Maxwell
• 42:49
Speaker 1: allegedly invited Stein to a New Year's Eve party at
• 42:52
Speaker 1: the Waldorf Astoria and brought her a dress to wear.
• 42:57
Speaker 1: Stein later learned that her date was Maxwell and Epstein,
• 43:01
Speaker 1: who allegedly told her to have sex with them. When
• 43:04
Speaker 1: she resisted, the duo became physically aggressive, made fun of
• 43:07
Speaker 1: her for taking the subway to the party, and said
• 43:10
Speaker 1: they were going to show her what a train really
• 43:12
Speaker 1: is tonight. Epstein then raped her vaginally, anally, and orally
• 43:16
Speaker 1: while Maxwell held her down, the complaint says. Afterwards, Stein
• 43:19
Speaker 1: was allegedly raped by an unknown man as she was
• 43:23
Speaker 1: restrained by Maxwell and Epstein before they all went downstairs.
• 43:27
Speaker 1: The complaint states that Stein left after she started vomiting.
• 43:31
Speaker 1: To make up for the New Year's sexual assault, Maxwell
• 43:34
Speaker 1: invited Stein on a Florida vacation, the complaint alleges. In Florida,
• 43:38
Speaker 1: Stein was taken to Epstein's Palm Beach home, where she
• 43:41
Speaker 1: was sexually assaulted by the pool while other guests watched.
• 43:45
Speaker 1: According to the complaint, Stein began to resist the abuse,
• 43:48
Speaker 1: which resulted in her being punished. She was allegedly barred
• 43:51
Speaker 1: from leaving Florida for several days, which led to her
• 43:55
Speaker 1: being fired from her job. After returning home, she learned
• 43:59
Speaker 1: she had gotten pregnant and was allegedly forced by Maxwell
• 44:02
Speaker 1: to get an abortion. The duo continued stalking her with
• 44:06
Speaker 1: repeated phone calls and cabled messages to her. The complaint reads,
• 44:10
Speaker 1: Stein first attended Maxwell's trial in 2021, watching the proceedings
• 44:15
Speaker 1: as a member of the public. She returned to Manhattan
• 44:18
Speaker 1: for the heiress's sentencing in June 2022 and read a
• 44:22
Speaker 1: victim impact statement describing the events as so traumatizing that
• 44:26
Speaker 1: to this day, I'm unable to speak about them. She
• 44:29
Speaker 1: said Epstein and Maxwell terrified her and threatened to kill
• 44:32
Speaker 1: her if she told anyone what they did. And again, look,
• 44:36
Speaker 1: all of that tracks with how Maxwell and Epstein conducted themselves.
• 44:40
Speaker 1: They most certainly used threats of violence. They told Maria
• 44:43
Speaker 1: Farmer that they knew where she jogged and that something
• 44:46
Speaker 1: bad would happen to her. So it's not like this
• 44:48
Speaker 1: is something new. Epstein was found dead in his jail
• 44:51
Speaker 1: cell in 2019 as he awaited trial. His death was
• 44:55
Speaker 1: ruled a suicide. Maxwell was convicted two years later and
• 44:59
Speaker 1: sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. She earned the moniker Prison
• 45:03
Speaker 1: Karen at FCI Tallahassee in Florida after filing over 400
• 45:07
Speaker 1: complaints about prison conditions. And that's why I call her
• 45:10
Speaker 1: the Lady of Complain now. All she does is bitch
• 45:13
Speaker 1: and moan about the conditions in jail. Breaking news, Ghislaine.
• 45:16
Speaker 1: The time to complain about the conditions in jail was
• 45:19
Speaker 1: when you were rich, hanging out with a bunch of
• 45:21
Speaker 1: people that could change shit. Now, well, guess what? You're
• 45:24
Speaker 1: just another number. In May, accuser Carolyn Adriano, whose testimony
• 45:29
Speaker 1: held Maxwell behind bars, was found dead in a hotel
• 45:32
Speaker 1: room of a suspected overdose. Following Maxwell's sentencing, Adriano spoke
• 45:37
Speaker 1: with DailyMail.com, saying she was glad that her voice had
• 45:41
Speaker 1: been heard. It's so important because I have my own
• 45:44
Speaker 1: daughters now, she said during the exclusive interview in 2022.
• 45:48
Speaker 1: During the trial, Carolyn didn't use her last name, but
• 45:51
Speaker 1: revealed it to help empower other abuse victims. I'm not
• 45:55
Speaker 1: ashamed at being a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell,
• 45:58
Speaker 1: Adriano said. For other girls that have been victimized, I
• 46:02
Speaker 1: want them to know that it's okay to come out
• 46:04
Speaker 1: and tell somebody, even if you don't want to be identified.
• 46:07
Speaker 1: And the sooner, the better. And that's 1000% true. Find
• 46:12
Speaker 1: somebody that you trust, confide in them, and come out swinging.
• 46:16
Speaker 1: Because there's nobody on the planet that deserves to live
• 46:19
Speaker 1: with this kind of baggage. And the dirtbags that are
• 46:22
Speaker 1: responsible need to be held accountable. So hopefully this is
• 46:26
Speaker 1: a good first step for making that happen. And the FBI, well,
• 46:29
Speaker 1: they have a lot of egg on their face. And
• 46:31
Speaker 1: if they want to start cleaning things up, a good
• 46:33
Speaker 1: way to do that is to start by being transparent.
• 46:37
Speaker 1: because they haven't been that this whole entire time. So now,
• 46:40
Speaker 1: after decades of inaction, after decades of ignoring these survivors,
• 46:45
Speaker 1: they're about to get hit with another lawsuit that's probably
• 46:47
Speaker 1: going to cost the taxpayers another $ 500 million, like they're
• 46:51
Speaker 1: on the hook for with Larry Nassar. So it's just
• 46:54
Speaker 1: another story where the FBI ignored what was going on
• 46:57
Speaker 1: for whatever reason. I'll leave that up to interpretation and
• 47:01
Speaker 1: leave it up to you to figure out. But the
• 47:03
Speaker 1: fact of the matter is this. When it comes to
• 47:05
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, the FBI was negligent in their duties. And
• 47:08
Speaker 1: somebody needs to be held accountable. All right, everybody, that's
• 47:12
Speaker 1: going to do it for this one. All the information
• 47:14
Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
• 47:17
Speaker 1: description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the
• 47:20
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Today's episode, we're going to dive into an
• 47:23
Speaker 1: article from The Guardian talking about Jeffrey Epstein's associates and
• 47:27
Speaker 1: how just because they're not accused of crimes doesn't mean
• 47:30
Speaker 1: they're not dirtbags. And that's really where I've been the
• 47:33
Speaker 1: whole entire time, right? I've never sat here and said
• 47:36
Speaker 1: this one committed this crime or that crime unless we've
• 47:39
Speaker 1: had some documentation to back that up. But when we're
• 47:42
Speaker 1: talking about what's right and wrong, when we're talking about enabling,
• 47:46
Speaker 1: when we're talking about looking the other way, when we're
• 47:49
Speaker 1: talking about being part of the overall larger scheme, that
• 47:53
Speaker 1: goes for all of them. Now, it's up to the
• 47:56
Speaker 1: justice system to figure out how to prosecute people if
• 47:59
Speaker 1: they committed crimes. But those who enabled Jeffrey Epstein, those
• 48:03
Speaker 1: who were helping his operation move forward by helping him
• 48:08
Speaker 1: build his reputation and by allowing him back into their circles,
• 48:13
Speaker 1: they have a lot of explaining to do as well.
• 48:16
Speaker 1: And unfortunately, a lot of those people have been able
• 48:18
Speaker 1: to avoid being asked the hard questions. And for me, hopefully,
• 48:23
Speaker 1: this document dump starts getting that on the right track.
• 48:26
Speaker 1: And it looks like we're starting to move in that
• 48:28
Speaker 1: direction a bit. More questions are being asked about Bill Clinton,
• 48:32
Speaker 1: which is certainly a good thing. There is no doubt
• 48:34
Speaker 1: that him and Jeffrey Epstein had a very, very tight-knit relationship.
• 48:39
Speaker 1: And that relationship, should be examined under a microscope. So
• 48:43
Speaker 1: today we have an article from The Guardian and the headline,
• 48:46
Speaker 1: The Epstein Associates Aren't Accused of Committing Any Crimes, But
• 48:49
Speaker 1: That Doesn't Mean They Didn't Do Anything Wrong. And the
• 48:52
Speaker 1: author of this article is Lucia Osborne Crowley. As newly
• 48:56
Speaker 1: unsealed documents linked to a case against the convicted sex trafficker,
• 49:00
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, reveal names of high-profile associates of Jeffrey Epstein,
• 49:04
Speaker 1: Many are quick to reiterate that their place on the
• 49:07
Speaker 1: long-awaited list does not mean that they have done anything illegal.
• 49:11
Speaker 1: This is absolutely true, and as a court correspondent, it
• 49:15
Speaker 1: is incredibly important to stress the legal implications, or more accurately,
• 49:20
Speaker 1: lack thereof, of this new information. And that is 100%
• 49:23
Speaker 1: spot on. Like I told you folks from the beginning,
• 49:26
Speaker 1: if you're looking for some sort of quote unquote list,
• 49:29
Speaker 1: that's never been seen before, you're going to be very disappointed,
• 49:32
Speaker 1: because that doesn't exist, at least not in the public conversation.
• 49:36
Speaker 1: The closest you're going to get is the black book.
• 49:39
Speaker 1: But as far as that smoking gun list, well, that's
• 49:41
Speaker 1: not going to be in this dump, that's for damn sure.
• 49:44
Speaker 1: With the exception of allegations made under oath, by Johanna
• 49:48
Speaker 1: Schoberg against Prince Andrew that, if proven, would amount to
• 49:51
Speaker 1: criminal conduct, most of those named on the list are
• 49:54
Speaker 1: not accused of any legal wrongdoing. But that doesn't mean
• 49:58
Speaker 1: we should not ask questions about the moral rather than
• 50:01
Speaker 1: strictly legal implications of their conduct. I mean this in
• 50:05
Speaker 1: two senses, both the personal moral implications for those named
• 50:09
Speaker 1: and the morals we hold as a society which are
• 50:11
Speaker 1: laid hideously bare in these documents. And I think that
• 50:16
Speaker 1: what we got here also, when we look at the
• 50:18
Speaker 1: whole Epstein situation, is a window into the world of
• 50:22
Speaker 1: the so-called elite, how they conduct themselves, how they think
• 50:25
Speaker 1: about other people. Look at the way the JP Morgan
• 50:28
Speaker 1: executives were talking about Epstein and his so-called abuse in
• 50:31
Speaker 1: that email chain. Look at the way other people just
• 50:33
Speaker 1: look the other way. And then to this day, still,
• 50:37
Speaker 1: you have these same people that were hanging out with
• 50:39
Speaker 1: Epstein who refused to give any information about their time
• 50:42
Speaker 1: with him. And then we're supposed to think that, oh, well,
• 50:45
Speaker 1: they're just, you know, people who were there by chance.
• 50:49
Speaker 1: Here's an idea. If you want people to listen to
• 50:51
Speaker 1: what you're saying, if you want people to believe you,
• 50:53
Speaker 1: be honest, come forward, talk about what's going on. Tell everybody, look,
• 50:57
Speaker 1: I was with Epstein. This is what I saw. I
• 51:00
Speaker 1: certainly didn't hurt nobody. but we don't get that. Instead,
• 51:03
Speaker 1: what we've had is people running from these questions for
• 51:06
Speaker 1: all these years. And if you run from something, especially
• 51:09
Speaker 1: questions like this, what exactly should the public believe? And
• 51:13
Speaker 1: as much as I'm not a fan of Alan Dershowitz,
• 51:16
Speaker 1: at least the dude challenged what was laid out against him, right?
• 51:19
Speaker 1: The rest of these people have all run from it.
• 51:22
Speaker 1: I've been working on a book about Jeffrey Epstein and
• 51:24
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, the culmination of my investigative reporting on the case,
• 51:29
Speaker 1: for almost four years. The thing that shocks me Even
• 51:32
Speaker 1: more than the graphic details I've learned from survivors that
• 51:35
Speaker 1: have never been made public is that this sick sex
• 51:38
Speaker 1: trafficking ring was known about and enabled by such an
• 51:42
Speaker 1: enormous group of people for perhaps as long as four decades.
• 51:47
Speaker 1: And that's not hyperbole. At least four decades. And not
• 51:50
Speaker 1: only that, it spanned continents. We're talking about Europe. We're
• 51:53
Speaker 1: talking about North America. We're talking about Asia. So this
• 51:58
Speaker 1: spanned continents, and hell, I wouldn't be shocked if there
• 52:00
Speaker 1: was some tomfoolery down in Africa as well. We know
• 52:03
Speaker 1: about South Africa, but what about elsewhere? And as far
• 52:07
Speaker 1: as the abuse that was suffered by these girls, I
• 52:10
Speaker 1: can concur. The stuff that I've heard behind the scenes,
• 52:13
Speaker 1: off the record, it's enough to make you want to
• 52:15
Speaker 1: throw the fuck up. And that's not hyperbole either. That's
• 52:18
Speaker 1: just the truth. It is absolutely disgusting what happened to
• 52:21
Speaker 1: these women and how long it was covered up and
• 52:24
Speaker 1: how long this was allowed to go on. It is
• 52:27
Speaker 1: almost unbelievable to even imagine that something like this was
• 52:32
Speaker 1: able to happen under the nose of so many so-called
• 52:35
Speaker 1: smartest people in the room. But all of a sudden
• 52:37
Speaker 1: they all have amnesia. The number of people who saw
• 52:42
Speaker 1: or interacted with the victims I've spoken to, people who
• 52:45
Speaker 1: were famous, wealthy, headline-grabbing or otherwise, and did not ask
• 52:49
Speaker 1: questions about why they were there, is staggering. and that's
• 52:53
Speaker 1: really what it comes down to for me. Not guilt
• 52:55
Speaker 1: by association, like some people are trying to frame it.
• 52:58
Speaker 1: Guilt by inaction. You knew what was up. You knew
• 53:01
Speaker 1: that this dude didn't have all these hot girls running
• 53:03
Speaker 1: around because he's some kind of hot dude, some kind
• 53:05
  Speaker 1: of muscle-bound Adonis.
• 53:07
Speaker 2: Give me a break. We all knew the deal.
• 53:09
Speaker 1: And if you were making pretend that you didn't know,
• 53:12
Speaker 1: if you were putting your head in the sand and
• 53:14
Speaker 1: acting like you didn't know, well, breaking news, none of
• 53:17
Speaker 1: us believe you. The headline for me of the most
• 53:20
Speaker 1: recent tranche of documents in an email is, in which
• 53:23
Speaker 1: the Epstein survivor, Virginia Roberts, alleges that former President Bill
• 53:27
Speaker 1: Clinton walked into Vanity Fair and threatened them not to
• 53:31
Speaker 1: write sex trafficking articles about his good friend, referring, Roberts says,
• 53:35
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein. This is an allegation that has not
• 53:38
Speaker 1: been proved, but that doesn't mean it is not worthy
• 53:42
Speaker 1: of further inquiry, and the same is true for so
• 53:45
Speaker 1: many other allegations in the Epstein files. And that's really
• 53:49
Speaker 1: all I've ever called for as well, a robust investigation.
• 53:53
Speaker 1: That's not too much to ask for, is it? A
• 53:55
Speaker 1: real investigation, subpoenas, let's bring people in, let's get them
• 53:59
Speaker 1: under oath, and let's clear it all up. Why do
• 54:03
Speaker 1: they refuse to do that? Why do they refuse to
• 54:05
Speaker 1: bring people in and get them on the damn record?
• 54:09
Speaker 1: That would be a great place to start, no? If
• 54:11
Speaker 1: you want to have a real investigation, that would be
• 54:13
Speaker 1: the way to do it. But we haven't seen that,
• 54:15
Speaker 1: have we? The question here is not just criminal conduct
• 54:19
Speaker 1: in terms of actually sex trafficking and or sexually abusing children.
• 54:23
Speaker 1: If that were really our base societal moral standard, we
• 54:26
Speaker 1: should be taking a long hard look at ourselves. The
• 54:29
Speaker 1: more pertinent question, particularly when the number of Epstein associates
• 54:34
Speaker 1: is so staggeringly high, is about knowledge of criminal conduct,
• 54:37
Speaker 1: which should breach our moral, if not necessarily legal, standards.
• 54:42
Speaker 1: If Roberts' allegation is true, it goes some way to
• 54:45
Speaker 1: proving that the former president knew, at the very least,
• 54:49
Speaker 1: that there were allegations of sex trafficking circulating about his
• 54:52
Speaker 1: good friend. And do you really believe there weren't any
• 54:55
Speaker 1: allegations circulating about his good friend? There most certainly were. However,
• 55:00
Speaker 1: I'm not too sure about this story about Bill Clinton
• 55:03
Speaker 1: storming into Vanity Fair.
• 55:04
Speaker 2: I can't prove it. This is what Virginia says.
• 55:07
Speaker 1: But we know that Epstein definitely called Vanity Fair and
• 55:10
Speaker 1: sweated them about an article coming out from the Farmer Sisters.
• 55:14
Speaker 1: So we know that Vanity Fair has been pressed before.
• 55:17
Speaker 1: And we know that Graydon Carter allegedly caved. So I
• 55:20
Speaker 1: don't know if it's true or not, but certainly... It
• 55:23
Speaker 1: should be part of a robust investigation, no? And not
• 55:27
Speaker 1: for nothing, this is exactly why they didn't use Rico.
• 55:30
Speaker 1: If they used Rico, all these people like Bill Clinton
• 55:33
Speaker 1: and the rest of them, they'd all be caught up.
• 55:35
Speaker 1: And they couldn't have it. They just couldn't have it.
• 55:37
Speaker 1: So instead, they tried to give us a little bit
• 55:40
Speaker 1: of piecemeal justice. Oh, here's Ghislaine Maxwell, a little red meat. Well,
• 55:43
Speaker 1: what about everybody else? And I would think that we
• 55:46
Speaker 1: could start with people who were already mentioned by a
• 55:49
Speaker 1: judge in the middle of a human trafficking trial as
• 55:52
Speaker 1: being part of the criminal enterprise, right? Probably a decent
• 55:56
Speaker 1: place to start. If a person, particularly a person who
• 56:00
Speaker 1: has been elected as a role model, has knowledge of
• 56:03
Speaker 1: such serious allegations, they should be expected to investigate them further,
• 56:07
Speaker 1: rather than shutting them down. Similarly, the supermarket billionaire Ron
• 56:11
Speaker 1: Burkle appeared overnight on a list of potential witnesses for
• 56:15
Speaker 1: the defamation case with a court document. Therefore, one that
• 56:19
Speaker 1: a legal practitioner must swear is a true and accurate
• 56:22
Speaker 1: representation of their knowledge, stating that he has knowledge of
• 56:25
Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual trafficking conduct. Again, this
• 56:30
Speaker 1: does not prove he had knowledge of crimes being committed.
• 56:33
Speaker 1: It states that Roberts' lawyers had reason to believe he
• 56:36
Speaker 1: had knowledge of conduct relevant to the sex trafficking allegations.
• 56:40
Speaker 1: We don't know what that conduct was, but the lawyers
• 56:43
Speaker 1: apparently thought evidence about it could help prove sex trafficking.
• 56:47
Speaker 1: Also on the witness list were Clinton's former advisor, Doug Band,
• 56:51
Speaker 1: who the document states may have knowledge of Ghislaine Maxwell
• 56:54
Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Epstein's sexual trafficking and interaction with minors. The
• 56:58
Speaker 1: list also includes Eva and Glenn Dubin, Prince Andrew, the U.S.
• 57:04
Speaker 1: politician Gwendolyn Beck, and lawyer Alan Dershowitz, the former New
• 57:08
Speaker 1: Mexico governor Bill Richardson, and the fashion magnate Leslie Wexner.
• 57:13
Speaker 1: For each witness, a version of the phrasing has knowledge of,
• 57:17
Speaker 1: or may have knowledge of, sex trafficking conduct is used.
• 57:20
Speaker 1: We should be determined to find out what each of
• 57:23
Speaker 1: these people did in fact witness, and whether they could
• 57:26
Speaker 1: have intervened to protect Epstein's victims, but chose not to.
• 57:31
Speaker 1: I know of many other names of people who allegedly
• 57:33
Speaker 1: either participated in the abuse or witnessed the presence of
• 57:37
Speaker 1: underage girls in Epstein's various homes or planes, names I've
• 57:41
Speaker 1: been told I cannot report because of the easily abused
• 57:45
Speaker 1: defamation laws in England and Wales set to be reformed
• 57:48
Speaker 1: through upcoming anti-SLAPP legislation, who should also be asked to explain,
• 57:53
Speaker 1: on the record, how much they knew. And there's a
• 57:56
Speaker 1: lot of that. There is a whole bunch off-the-record stuff
• 57:59
Speaker 1: that I have heard from survivors that it's just unbelievable.
• 58:03
Speaker 1: It is really unbelievable. And the sad truth is, there's
• 58:07
Speaker 1: a ton more that we just don't know about. This
• 58:11
Speaker 1: speaks to the important difference between the role of journalism
• 58:14
Speaker 1: and the legal system. Having worked as a practitioner in both,
• 58:17
Speaker 1: I feel strongly that the role of the press right
• 58:19
Speaker 1: now is both to clarify the law and to ask
• 58:22
Speaker 1: hard questions about actions or omissions that may not be illegal,
• 58:26
Speaker 1: but about which we should still, as the fourth estate,
• 58:30
Speaker 1: be asking hard questions.
• 58:31
  Speaker 2: Hallelujah.
• 58:32
Speaker 1: Finally, somebody in the legacy media trying to do the
• 58:35
Speaker 1: right thing. How about some hard questions? Is that too
• 58:37
Speaker 1: much to ask? That's all I've ever asked for. No
• 58:41
Speaker 1: more softball questions. No more referring to a 2019 statement
• 58:45
Speaker 1: from Bill Clinton spokesman. how about we go to Billy
• 58:48
Speaker 1: Boy himself? Is that too much to ask or what?
• 58:52
Speaker 1: A failure to intervene when you suspect or close your
• 58:55
Speaker 1: mind to the possibility of the continuing commission of crimes
• 58:59
Speaker 1: as serious as the abuse of children may not be illegal,
• 59:02
Speaker 1: but if we wish to continue pushing for a world
• 59:04
Speaker 1: that delivers some degree of justice for abuse survivors, then
• 59:08
Speaker 1: it should certainly be considered gravely immoral. In some cases,
• 59:12
Speaker 1: the law itself backs up this theory. The US concept
• 59:17
Speaker 1: of conscious avoidance, which the jury were instructed about at
• 59:20
Speaker 1: length as I sat in the press gallery of the
• 59:22
Speaker 1: Maxwell trial, And which means ignoring signs that may raise
• 59:26
Speaker 1: questions about illegal activity can, under some pieces of legislation,
• 59:31
Speaker 1: including some sex trafficking legislation, be illegally equivalent to actual
• 59:35
Speaker 1: knowledge of a crime. Or just drop Rico on all
• 59:38
Speaker 1: these fools and that will really do him in. It's
• 59:41
Speaker 1: the most powerful tool that the government has in their toolbox.
• 59:44
Speaker 1: They saw fit to use it against Young Thug. They
• 59:47
Speaker 1: saw fit to use it against Keith Ranieri. They saw
• 59:50
Speaker 1: fit to use it against R.
• 59:52
  Speaker 2: Kelly.
• 59:52
Speaker 1: How come not Ghislaine Maxwell? We are witnessing this week
• 59:56
Speaker 1: the unveiling of the true extent of perhaps the biggest
• 59:59
Speaker 1: and most powerful sex trafficking conspiracy in modern history. The
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: number of people who knew or decided not to know
• 1:00:06
Speaker 1: about its existence was critical to its success and impunity,
• 1:00:10
Speaker 1: which lasted for decades and is continuing. If we are
• 1:00:14
Speaker 1: truly to start to change the way the justice system
• 1:00:17
Speaker 1: and our culture views sexual offenses... We must not put
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: the bar so low as to only include the perpetrators.
• 1:00:23
Speaker 1: We must hold the enablers to account, whether they broke
• 1:00:26
Speaker 1: the law or not. And that's really what it comes
• 1:00:29
Speaker 1: down to. We have to parse through all of this
• 1:00:32
Speaker 1: BS and see what's what. And the people that knew,
• 1:00:35
Speaker 1: those people need to be held accountable. And for my money,
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: we should be starting at Jeffrey Epstein's core four. All right, folks,
• 1:00:43
Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. All the
• 1:00:45
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
• 1:00:48
  Speaker 1: the description box.
