  Hope
• 0:11
  you
• 0:11
  can
• 0:11
  hear
• 0:12
  me.
• 0:12
  Yes.
• 0:13
  Hey,
• 0:13
  Phil,
• 0:14
  where
• 0:14
  the
• 0:14
  hell
• 0:14
  are
• 0:15
  you
• 0:15
  these
• 0:15
  days?
• 0:16
  Oh,
• 0:16
  I'm
• 0:17
  in
• 0:17
  Florida
• 0:18
  right
• 0:18
  now,
• 0:18
  ladies
• 0:19
  and
• 0:19
  gentlemen.
• 0:19
  I
• 0:19
  was
• 0:20
  abducted
• 0:20
  last
• 0:21
  night
• 0:22
  and
• 0:22
  put
• 0:22
  on
• 0:23
  some
• 0:23
  kind
• 0:23
  of
• 0:23
  a
• 0:24
  vehicle.
• 0:24
  I
• 0:25
  don't.
• 0:25
  I
• 0:26
  have
• 0:26
  vague
• 0:26
  recollections
• 0:27
  of
• 0:27
  sleeping
• 0:28
  and
• 0:28
  being
• 0:28
  tossed
• 0:29
  around.
• 0:30
  No
• 0:30
  probing
• 0:31
  so
• 0:32
  far
• 0:32
  as
• 0:32
  I
• 0:32
  know,
• 0:33
  but
• 0:33
  otherwise
• 0:34
  it
• 0:34
  was
• 0:34
  quite
• 0:35
  an
• 0:35
  adventure.
• 0:35
  And
• 0:35
  I
• 0:36
  ended
• 0:36
  up
• 0:36
  in,
• 0:37
  of
• 0:37
  all
• 0:37
  places,
• 0:38
  Jupiter,
• 0:39
  Florida.
• 0:40
  No,
• 0:40
  I'm
• 0:41
  not
• 0:41
  at
• 0:41
  Jupiter.
• 0:42
  That's
• 0:42
  no
• 0:42
  ufo.
• 0:43
  That
• 0:43
  was
• 0:43
  a
• 0:43
  train.
• 0:44
  Oh,
• 0:45
  that's
• 0:45
  what
• 0:45
  it
• 0:45
  was.
• 0:45
  It
• 0:46
  was
• 0:46
  a
• 0:46
  train.
• 0:47
  Yeah.
• 0:47
  We're
• 0:48
  getting
• 0:48
  ready
• 0:48
  to
• 0:48
  go
• 0:48
  on
• 0:49
  a
• 0:49
  cruise
• 0:50
  which
• 0:50
  is
• 0:50
  going
• 0:50
  to
• 0:51
  take
• 0:51
  us
• 0:51
  to
• 0:51
  New
• 0:51
  Orleans
• 0:52
  and
• 0:52
  then
• 0:53
  around,
• 0:53
  whatever,
• 0:54
  to
• 0:54
  Cozumel.
• 0:55
  Unless
• 0:56
  of
• 0:56
  course,
• 0:56
  war
• 0:56
  has
• 0:57
  been
• 0:57
  declared
• 0:57
  on
• 0:57
  Mexico,
• 0:58
  in
• 0:59
  which
• 0:59
  case
• 0:59
  we'll
• 1:00
  probably
• 1:00
  just
• 1:00
  stay
• 1:01
  at
• 1:01
  sea.
• 1:01
  Or
• 1:01
  we
• 1:01
  might
• 1:02
  be
• 1:02
  asked
• 1:02
  to,
• 1:02
  I
• 1:03
  don't
• 1:03
  know,
• 1:03
  to.
• 1:03
  To
• 1:04
  help
• 1:04
  with
• 1:04
  the
• 1:04
  invasion.
• 1:05
  I'm
• 1:05
  not
• 1:05
  exactly
• 1:06
  sure.
• 1:06
  Hopefully
• 1:07
  the
• 1:07
  special
• 1:07
  forces
• 1:07
  won't
• 1:08
  attack
• 1:08
  your
• 1:08
  cruise
• 1:09
  ship
• 1:09
  in
• 1:09
  the
• 1:09
  Gulf
• 1:10
  of
• 1:10
  America.
• 1:11
  We
• 1:11
  can
• 1:11
  only
• 1:12
  hope.
• 1:13
  These
• 1:13
  days
• 1:14
  we
• 1:15
  never
• 1:15
  know.
• 1:16
  Anyway,
• 1:16
  it's
• 1:17
  great
• 1:17
  to
• 1:17
  be
• 1:18
  here
• 1:18
  when
• 1:18
  I'm
• 1:19
  not
• 1:19
  anywhere
• 1:19
  at
• 1:19
  all.
• 1:20
  We
• 1:20
  have
• 1:20
  a
• 1:21
  particularly
• 1:21
  interesting
• 1:22
  guest
• 1:23
  today,
• 1:23
  someone
• 1:24
  whom
• 1:24
  I've
• 1:24
  admired
• 1:25
  for
• 1:25
  many
• 1:26
  years.
• 1:26
  Why
• 1:26
  don't
• 1:26
  you
• 1:27
  tell
• 1:27
  him
• 1:27
  our
• 1:27
  listeners,
• 1:28
  a
• 1:28
  little
• 1:28
  bit
• 1:28
  about
• 1:28
  him.
• 1:29
  Our
• 1:29
  guest
• 1:29
  today
• 1:30
  is
• 1:30
  Whitley
• 1:31
  Strieber,
• 1:32
  the
• 1:32
  American

  but
• 1:37
  also

• 1:38
  books,
• 1:39
  including
• 1:40
  Communion,
• 1:41
  which
• 1:41
  is,
• 1:42
  as
• 1:42
  he
• 1:42
  says
• 1:43
  it,
• 1:43
  a
• 1:43
  truthful
• 1:43
  account
• 1:44
  of
• 1:44
  his
• 1:44
  reported
• 1:45
  experiences
• 1:46
  with
• 1:46
  non
• 1:46
  human
• 1:47
  entities.
• 1:47
  Over
• 1:47
  the
• 1:48
  years,
• 1:49
  he
• 1:49
  has
• 1:50
  maintained
• 1:50
  a
• 1:50
  dual
• 1:51
  career
• 1:52
  as
• 1:52
  an
• 1:52
  author
• 1:52
  of
• 1:53
  fiction
• 1:53
  and
• 1:53
  an
• 1:53
  advocate
• 1:54
  of
• 1:54
  metaphysical
• 1:55
  concepts
• 1:55
  through
• 1:55
  his
• 1:55
  best
• 1:56
  selling
• 1:56
  novels,
• 1:57
  his
• 1:57
  nonfiction
• 1:58
  books.
• 1:58
  He
• 1:59
  also
• 1:59
  has
• 1:59
  his
• 2:00
  website,
• 2:00
  the
• 2:00
  Unknown
• 2:01
  country
• 2:01
  and
• 2:01
  his
• 2:02
  podcast,
• 2:02
  Dreamland.
• 2:03
  Whitley,
• 2:03
  thank
• 2:04
  you
• 2:04
  so
• 2:04
  much
• 2:04
  for
• 2:04
  joining
• 2:05
  us
• 2:05
  today.
• 2:05
  It's
• 2:05
  really
• 2:05
  great
• 2:06
  to
• 2:06
  have
• 2:06
  you.
• 2:06
  I'm
• 2:07
  glad
• 2:07
  to
• 2:07
  be
• 2:07
  here.
• 2:08
  And
• 2:09
  I've
• 2:09
  never.
• 2:09
  I
• 2:10
  don't
• 2:10
  believe
• 2:10
  I've
• 2:10
  ever
• 2:10
  interviewed
• 2:11
  with,
• 2:12
  with
• 2:12
  you
• 2:12
  before.
• 2:13
  Nope,
• 2:14
  nope.
• 2:14
  First
• 2:14
  time?
• 2:15
  No.
• 2:15
  Good.
• 2:16
  We
• 2:16
  met
• 2:17
  ever
• 2:17
  so
• 2:17
  briefly
• 2:18
  40
• 2:18
  years
• 2:18
  ago.
• 2:19
  But
• 2:19
  wasn't
• 2:20
  it
• 2:20
  39
• 2:20
  years
• 2:21
  and
• 2:21
  two
• 2:21
  months?
• 2:22
  Could
• 2:22
  be,
• 2:23
  but
• 2:23
  who's
• 2:24
  counting?
• 2:27
  Yeah.
• 2:27
  You
• 2:27
  literally
• 2:28
  changed
• 2:28
  my
• 2:28
  life
• 2:29
  in
• 2:29
  the
• 2:29
  most
• 2:29
  unexpected
• 2:30
  way.
• 2:31
  I've
• 2:32
  always
• 2:32
  been
• 2:32
  interested
• 2:32
  in
• 2:32
  UFOs
• 2:33
  because
• 2:33
  I
• 2:33
  was
• 2:33
  a
• 2:34
  kid
• 2:34
  of
• 2:34
  the
• 2:34
  60s,
• 2:34
  we
• 2:35
  were
• 2:35
  going
• 2:35
  to
• 2:35
  the
• 2:35
  moon
• 2:35
  and
• 2:36
  Project
• 2:36
  Blue
• 2:37
  Book
• 2:37
  came
• 2:37
  out
• 2:38
  and
• 2:38
  flying
• 2:38
  saucers,
• 2:39
  serious
• 2:39
  business,
• 2:40
  which
• 2:40
  to
• 2:40
  me
• 2:40
  was
• 2:40
  all
• 2:41
  the
• 2:41
  kind
• 2:41
  of
• 2:41
  a
• 2:41
  folkloric
• 2:42
  component
• 2:42
  of
• 2:43
  the
• 2:43
  UFO
• 2:43
  space
• 2:44
  age
• 2:44
  phenomena.
• 2:45
  So
• 2:45
  I
• 2:45
  always
• 2:46
  had
• 2:46
  an
• 2:46
  interest
• 2:46
  in
• 2:46
  it
• 2:47
  and
• 2:47
  then
• 2:48
  my
• 2:48
  first
• 2:48
  job
• 2:48
  in
• 2:48
  radio
• 2:49
  was
• 2:49
  in
• 2:49
  Westchester
• 2:50
  County,
• 2:50
  New
• 2:50
  York
• 2:51
  at
• 2:51
  a
• 2:51
  station
• 2:52
  called
• 2:52
  WRNW.
• 2:54
  And
• 2:54
  I
• 2:54
  was
• 2:54
  there
• 2:54
  in
• 2:55
  the
• 2:55
  mid-70s.
• 2:56
  I
• 2:56
  was
• 2:56
  the
• 2:56
  news
• 2:57
  director.
• 2:57
  And
• 2:57
  people
• 2:57
  would
• 2:58
  come
• 2:58
  up
• 2:58
  to
• 2:58
  me
• 2:58
  all
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  time
• 2:59
  and
• 2:59
  say,
• 2:59
  hey,
• 3:00
  I
• 3:00
  saw
• 3:00
  a
• 3:00
  UFO
• 3:01
  last
• 3:01
  night.
• 3:01
  All
• 3:01
  in
• 3:01
  Westchester
• 3:02
  county,
• 3:02
  which
• 3:02
  is
• 3:03
  north
• 3:03
  of
• 3:03
  New
• 3:03
  York
• 3:03
  City.
• 3:04
  I
• 3:05
  never
• 3:05
  saw
• 3:05
  anything.
• 3:06
  But
• 3:06
  even
• 3:07
  one
• 3:07
  point,
• 3:08
  Saturday
• 3:08
  Night
• 3:08
  Live
• 3:09
  in
• 3:09
  its
• 3:09
  first
• 3:09
  or
• 3:10
  second
• 3:10
  season,
• 3:10
  whatever
• 3:11
  the
• 3:11
  Lily
• 3:11
  Tomlin
• 3:12
  show
• 3:12
  was.
• 3:13
  My
• 3:14
  colleague
• 3:14
  said,
• 3:14
  hey,
• 3:15
  Saturday
• 3:15
  Night
• 3:15
  Live
• 3:16
  is
• 3:16
  filming
• 3:16
  a
• 3:16
  short
• 3:17
  outside,
• 3:17
  go
• 3:18
  and
• 3:18
  interview
• 3:18
  them.
• 3:19
  And
• 3:19
  I
• 3:19
  saw
• 3:19
  Chevy
• 3:20
  Chase
• 3:20
  and
• 3:20
  I
• 3:20
  saw
• 3:21
  Dan
• 3:21
  Aykroyd.
• 3:21
  And
• 3:22
  I
• 3:22
  interviewed
• 3:22
  Dan
• 3:23
  Aykroyd
• 3:23
  and
• 3:23
  he
• 3:23
  was
• 3:23
  a
• 3:24
  lovely
• 3:24
  man.
• 3:25
  He
• 3:25
  goes,
• 3:25
  I'm
• 3:25
  doing
• 3:25
  my
• 3:26
  day
• 3:26
  job,
• 3:26
  but
• 3:26
  I'm
• 3:26
  really
• 3:27
  here
• 3:27
  looking
• 3:27
  for
• 3:27
  UFOs.
• 3:28
  I
• 3:28
  said,
• 3:28
  how's
• 3:29
  that?
• 3:30
  I
• 3:30
  said,
• 3:30
  there
• 3:30
  is
• 3:31
  a
• 3:31
  lot
• 3:31
  of
• 3:31
  UFO
• 3:31
  activity
• 3:32
  up
• 3:32
  here.
• 3:32
  And
• 3:32
  this
• 3:32
  is
• 3:32
  before
• 3:33
  the
• 3:33
  flap
• 3:33
  really
• 3:33
  hit
• 3:34
  in
• 3:34
  Hudson
• 3:34
  Valley
• 3:35
  in
• 3:35
  the
• 3:35
  early
• 3:36
  80s.
• 3:37
  And
• 3:37
  he
• 3:37
  said,
• 3:38
  yes,
• 3:38
  I
• 3:38
  know,
• 3:38
  that's
• 3:39
  what
• 3:39
  I'm
• 3:39
  looking
• 3:39
  for.
• 3:39
  And
• 3:39
  I
• 3:40
  said,
• 3:40
  where
• 3:40
  are
• 3:40
  you
• 3:40
  gonna
• 3:41
  look?
• 3:41
  He
• 3:41
  said,
• 3:41
  I'm
• 3:41
  spend
• 3:42
  the
• 3:42
  night
• 3:42
  up
• 3:42
  here.
• 3:42
  I
• 3:42
  said,
• 3:42
  where?
• 3:43
  He
• 3:43
  said,
• 3:43
  I'm
• 3:43
  looking
• 3:43
  at
• 3:43
  this
• 3:44
  one
• 3:44
  all
• 3:44
  girl
• 3:45
  campus
• 3:45
  down
• 3:45
  the
• 3:46
  street,
• 3:46
  maybe
• 3:47
  there
• 3:47
  thinking,
• 3:48
  well,
• 3:48
  20
• 3:49
  years
• 3:49
  later
• 3:49
  I
• 3:49
  met
• 3:50
  and
• 3:50
  got
• 3:50
  to
• 3:50
  know
• 3:50
  his
• 3:51
  brother
• 3:52
  who
• 3:52
  told
• 3:52
  me
• 3:53
  that
• 3:53
  in
• 3:53
  fact
• 3:54
  Dan
• 3:54
  did
• 3:55
  stay
• 3:55
  overnight
• 3:55
  looking
• 3:56
  for
• 3:56
  UFOs.
• 3:57
  He
• 3:57
  was
• 3:57
  quite
• 3:57
  serious
• 3:58
  that
• 3:58
  night
• 3:59
  that
• 3:59
  to
• 3:59
  be
• 3:59
  staying
• 4:00
  in
• 4:00
  Westchester
• 4:00
  County.
• 4:00
  So
• 4:01
  there
• 4:01
  was
• 4:01
  a
• 4:01
  lot
• 4:01
  of
• 4:01
  stuff
• 4:01
  going
• 4:02
  on.
• 4:02
  So
• 4:02
  I
• 4:03
  did
• 4:03
  a
• 4:04
  syndicated
• 4:04
  radio
• 4:05
  show
• 4:05
  about
• 4:05
  outer
• 4:06
  space
• 4:06
  exploration.
• 4:07
  Had
• 4:07
  really
• 4:07
  nothing
• 4:07
  to
• 4:08
  do
• 4:08
  with
• 4:08
  paranormal.
• 4:08
  It
• 4:09
  was
• 4:09
  really
• 4:09
  about
• 4:09
  interviewing
• 4:10
  astronauts
• 4:10
  and
• 4:10
  the
• 4:11
  space
• 4:11
  program
• 4:11
  and
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  science
• 4:12
  programs.
• 4:12
  We
• 4:13
  decided
• 4:13
  out
• 4:13
  of
• 4:14
  65
• 4:14
  programs,
• 4:15
  let's
• 4:15
  do
• 4:15
  one
• 4:15
  on
• 4:15
  UFOs.
• 4:16
  I
• 4:16
  heard
• 4:16
  about
• 4:17
  a
• 4:17
  UFO
• 4:17
  conference
• 4:18
  in,
• 4:19
  I
• 4:19
  believe
• 4:19
  it
• 4:19
  was
• 4:19
  Brewster.
• 4:20
  This
• 4:20
  was
• 4:20
  like
• 4:20
  87
• 4:22
  and
• 4:22
  it
• 4:22
  was
• 4:23
  an
• 4:23
  interesting
• 4:23
  day
• 4:23
  to
• 4:24
  say
• 4:24
  the
• 4:24
  least.
• 4:24
  There
• 4:24
  were
• 4:24
  some
• 4:25
  really
• 4:25
  fascinating
• 4:25
  people.
• 4:26
  There
• 4:26
  were
• 4:26
  some
• 4:26
  really
• 4:27
  unhinged
• 4:27
  people.
• 4:28
  But
• 4:28
  I
• 4:28
  wanted
• 4:29
  to
• 4:29
  stick
• 4:29
  it
• 4:29
  out
• 4:29
  because
• 4:30
  you
• 4:30
  were
• 4:30
  giving
• 4:30
  a
• 4:30
  keynote
• 4:31
  and
• 4:31
  you
• 4:31
  came
• 4:32
  on
• 4:32
  and
• 4:32
  you
• 4:32
  said,
• 4:33
  listen,
• 4:33
  before
• 4:33
  I
• 4:34
  get
• 4:34
  into
• 4:34
  my
• 4:35
  main
• 4:36
  presentation,
• 4:37
  I
• 4:37
  want
• 4:37
  to
• 4:37
  talk
• 4:37
  about
• 4:38
  a
• 4:38
  particular
• 4:39
  case
• 4:39
  that
• 4:40
  occurred
• 4:40
  not
• 4:41
  far
• 4:41
  from
• 4:41
  here,
• 4:41
  Pound
• 4:42
  Ridge,
• 4:42
  New
• 4:43
  York.
• 4:43
  And
• 4:44
  you
• 4:44
  described
• 4:45
  an
• 4:45
  experience
• 4:46
  about
• 4:47
  a
• 4:47
  person
• 4:47
  who
• 4:48
  was
• 4:48
  working
• 4:49
  as
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  chauffeur
• 4:50
  at
• 4:51
  the
• 4:51
  time,
• 4:51
  who
• 4:51
  had
• 4:51
  driven
• 4:52
  a
• 4:52
  couple
• 4:52
  of
• 4:52
  clients
• 4:53
  from
• 4:53
  New
• 4:53
  York
• 4:53
  City
• 4:53
  up
• 4:54
  to
• 4:54
  their
• 4:54
  country
• 4:54
  house
• 4:55
  in
• 4:55
  Pound
• 4:55
  Ridge
• 4:56
  late
• 4:56
  at
• 4:56
  night
• 4:57
  after,
• 4:57
  I
• 4:57
  guess,
• 4:57
  a
• 4:57
  night
• 4:58
  of
• 4:58
  clubbing.
• 4:59
  And
• 4:59
  they
• 5:00
  came
• 5:00
  into
• 5:00
  Pound
• 5:01
  Ridge
• 5:01
  at
• 5:01
  probably,
• 5:02
  I
• 5:02
  don't
• 5:02
  know,
• 5:02
  two
• 5:02
  in
• 5:02
  the
• 5:02
  morning
• 5:03
  or
• 5:03
  something
• 5:03
  like
• 5:03
  that.
• 5:04
  And
• 5:04
  the
• 5:05
  lights
• 5:05
  were
• 5:05
  out,
• 5:05
  there
• 5:05
  was
• 5:05
  a
• 5:06
  blackout
• 5:06
  in
• 5:06
  the
• 5:06
  area.
• 5:07
  And
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  chauffeur
• 5:08
  drove
• 5:08
  the
• 5:08
  two
• 5:08
  men
• 5:09
  up
• 5:09
  their
• 5:10
  wooded
• 5:10
  driveway
• 5:11
  to
• 5:11
  their
• 5:11
  home.
• 5:12
  And
• 5:13
  when
• 5:13
  they
• 5:13
  got
• 5:13
  up
• 5:14
  the
• 5:14
  driveway,
• 5:14
  they
• 5:14
  all
• 5:15
  saw
• 5:15
  a
• 5:15
  very
• 5:15
  big
• 5:15
  blue
• 5:16
  glow
• 5:16
  in
• 5:17
  the
• 5:17
  woods
• 5:17
  behind
• 5:18
  the
• 5:18
  farmhouse.
• 5:19
  They
• 5:19
  investigated.
• 5:20
  They
• 5:20
  saw
• 5:21
  what
• 5:21
  looked
• 5:21
  like
• 5:21
  a
• 5:22
  large,
• 5:22
  I
• 5:23
  believe,
• 5:23
  triangular,
• 5:23
  maybe
• 5:24
  40
• 5:24
  foot
• 5:24
  tall
• 5:25
  structure
• 5:26
  in
• 5:26
  the
• 5:26
  woods.
• 5:27
  Like,
• 5:27
  how
• 5:27
  did
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  even
• 5:27
  get
• 5:28
  in
• 5:28
  there?
• 5:29
  At
• 5:29
  that
• 5:29
  point,
• 5:29
  the
• 5:30
  chauffeur
• 5:30
  who
• 5:31
  you
• 5:31
  were
• 5:31
  referring
• 5:31
  to
• 5:32
  said
• 5:33
  to
• 5:33
  his
• 5:33
  clients,
• 5:34
  do
• 5:34
  you
• 5:34
  want
• 5:34
  to
• 5:34
  get
• 5:34
  out
• 5:35
  of
• 5:35
  here?
• 5:36
  And
• 5:36
  they
• 5:36
  said,
• 5:36
  no,
• 5:36
  we'll
• 5:37
  just
• 5:37
  call
• 5:37
  the
• 5:37
  police.
• 5:38
  And
• 5:38
  at
• 5:38
  that
• 5:38
  point,
• 5:38
  they
• 5:39
  saw
• 5:39
  headlights
• 5:39
  coming
• 5:40
  up
• 5:40
  the
• 5:40
  driveway.
• 5:40
  They
• 5:40
  had
• 5:41
  just
• 5:41
  come
• 5:41
  up
• 5:41
  and
• 5:42
  they
• 5:42
  thought,
• 5:42
  oh,
• 5:42
  the
• 5:42
  police
• 5:42
  are
• 5:43
  already
• 5:43
  here.
• 5:44
  But
• 5:44
  it
• 5:44
  turned
• 5:44
  out
• 5:44
  to
• 5:44
  be
• 5:45
  a
• 5:45
  vehicle
• 5:45
  that
• 5:45
  wasn't
• 5:46
  touching
• 5:46
  the
• 5:46
  ground.
• 5:46
  It
• 5:46
  drove
• 5:47
  right
• 5:47
  by
• 5:47
  them
• 5:47
  and
• 5:48
  into
• 5:48
  the
• 5:48
  woods
• 5:49
  towards
• 5:49
  that
• 5:49
  blue
• 5:50
  object.
• 5:50
  And
• 5:51
  at
• 5:51
  that
• 5:51
  point,
• 5:52
  I
• 5:52
  believe
• 5:52
  it's
• 5:52
  when
• 5:53
  the
• 5:53
  chauffeur
• 5:53
  said,
• 5:54
  you
• 5:54
  want
• 5:54
  to
• 5:54
  get
• 5:54
  out
• 5:54
  of
• 5:54
  here?
• 5:55
  And
• 5:55
  they
• 5:55
  said,
• 5:55
  no,
• 5:56
  no,
• 5:56
  we're
• 5:56
  good.
• 5:56
  And
• 5:57
  so
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  chauffeur
• 5:57
  went
• 5:58
  back
• 5:58
  to
• 5:58
  his
• 5:58
  car
• 5:59
  to
• 5:59
  drive
• 5:59
  back
• 5:59
  to
• 5:59
  the
• 6:00
  city.
• 6:01
  And
• 6:01
  he
• 6:01
  had
• 6:01
  a
• 6:01
  sense
• 6:02
  of
• 6:02
  feeling
• 6:03
  of
• 6:03
  something
• 6:03
  behind
• 6:03
  him.
• 6:04
  He
• 6:04
  turned
• 6:04
  around
• 6:05
  and
• 6:05
  he
• 6:05
  remembered,
• 6:06
  as
• 6:06
  you
• 6:06
  described
• 6:07
  it,
• 6:07
  big
• 6:07
  black
• 6:07
  eyes
• 6:08
  like
• 6:08
  a
• 6:08
  deer
• 6:08
  right
• 6:09
  in
• 6:09
  his
• 6:09
  face,
• 6:10
  shook
• 6:10
  it
• 6:10
  off,
• 6:11
  drove
• 6:12
  back
• 6:12
  to
• 6:12
  the
• 6:12
  city,
• 6:12
  realizing
• 6:13
  the
• 6:13
  lights
• 6:13
  were
• 6:13
  still
• 6:14
  out
• 6:14
  in
• 6:14
  Pound
• 6:14
  Ridge,
• 6:15
  got
• 6:15
  back
• 6:15
  to
• 6:15
  New
• 6:16
  York,
• 6:16
  and
• 6:16
  then
• 6:17
  realized
• 6:17
  he
• 6:17
  had
• 6:18
  lost
• 6:18
  two
• 6:19
  hours
• 6:19
  of
• 6:19
  time.
• 6:21
  And
• 6:21
  that
• 6:21
  chauffeur
• 6:22
  is
• 6:22
  joining
• 6:22
  us
• 6:23
  today
• 6:23
  as
• 6:23
  well.
• 6:24
  Because
• 6:24
  the
• 6:25
  fascinating
• 6:25
  thing
• 6:26
  was
• 6:26
  you
• 6:26
  said
• 6:27
  at
• 6:27
  the
• 6:27
  time,
• 6:27
  now,
• 6:27
  normally
• 6:28
  I
• 6:28
  wouldn't
• 6:29
  necessarily
• 6:30
  believe
• 6:30
  this
• 6:30
  particular
• 6:31
  witness
• 6:31
  because
• 6:32
  of
• 6:32
  his
• 6:32
  background.
• 6:32
  And
• 6:33
  you
• 6:33
  mentioned
• 6:33
  his
• 6:33
  background,
• 6:34
  including
• 6:34
  some
• 6:34
  comedy.
• 6:35
  I
• 6:35
  won't
• 6:36
  get
• 6:36
  any
• 6:36
  more
• 6:36
  specific
• 6:36
  because
• 6:37
  we're
• 6:37
  protecting
• 6:37
  his
• 6:38
  name.
• 6:39
  And
• 6:39
  when
• 6:39
  you
• 6:39
  said
• 6:39
  it,
• 6:40
  the
• 6:41
  hair
• 6:41
  went
• 6:41
  up
• 6:41
  in
• 6:41
  my
• 6:41
  arms
• 6:42
  because
• 6:42
  I
• 6:43
  knew
• 6:43
  who
• 6:43
  you
• 6:44
  were
• 6:44
  talking
• 6:44
  about.
• 6:45
  I
• 6:45
  knew
• 6:45
  who
• 6:45
  this
• 6:46
  chauffeur
• 6:46
  was.
• 6:47
  And
• 6:47
  you
• 6:47
  had
• 6:48
  said
• 6:48
  it
• 6:48
  had
• 6:48
  happened
• 6:49
  six
• 6:49
  months
• 6:49
  before.
• 6:50
  And
• 6:51
  that's
• 6:51
  what
• 6:51
  really
• 6:51
  freaked
• 6:52
  me
• 6:52
  out,
• 6:52
  because
• 6:53
  I
• 6:53
  had
• 6:53
  met
• 6:53
  this
• 6:54
  chauffeur
• 6:54
  exactly
• 6:55
  six
• 6:55
  months
• 6:56
  before.
• 6:57
  We
• 6:57
  did
• 6:57
  a
• 6:57
  radio
• 6:58
  show
• 6:58
  in
• 6:58
  New
• 6:58
  York,
• 6:58
  a
• 6:59
  comedy
• 6:59
  show,
• 7:00
  and
• 7:00
  I
• 7:01
  met
• 7:01
  him
• 7:02
  through
• 7:02
  an
• 7:02
  introduction.
• 7:03
  So
• 7:03
  I
• 7:03
  met
• 7:04
  him
• 7:04
  sight
• 7:04
  unseen,
• 7:05
  and
• 7:05
  he
• 7:05
  was
• 7:05
  just
• 7:05
  so
• 7:06
  funny.
• 7:06
  I
• 7:06
  said,
• 7:07
  just
• 7:07
  come
• 7:07
  down
• 7:07
  to
• 7:07
  the
• 7:07
  show
• 7:08
  and
• 7:08
  improv
• 7:08
  with
• 7:09
  us
• 7:09
  on
• 7:09
  Friday
• 7:09
  night.
• 7:09
  And
• 7:10
  he
• 7:10
  said,
• 7:10
  sure.
• 7:11
  And
• 7:11
  he
• 7:12
  showed
• 7:12
  up
• 7:12
  to
• 7:13
  our
• 7:13
  radio
• 7:13
  show
• 7:14
  and
• 7:15
  he
• 7:15
  was
• 7:15
  sunburned
• 7:16
  and
• 7:16
  had
• 7:16
  conjunctivitis
• 7:17
  and
• 7:18
  was
• 7:18
  pretty
• 7:18
  spaced
• 7:19
  out,
• 7:20
  but
• 7:20
  he
• 7:20
  was
• 7:20
  hilarious,
• 7:21
  so
• 7:21
  to
• 7:21
  speak.
• 7:22
  And
• 7:22
  he
• 7:22
  was
• 7:22
  very.
• 7:23
  He
• 7:24
  was
• 7:24
  right
• 7:24
  on
• 7:24
  it,
• 7:25
  performance
• 7:25
  wise.
• 7:26
  But
• 7:26
  when
• 7:26
  we
• 7:26
  would
• 7:26
  take
• 7:26
  a
• 7:27
  music
• 7:27
  break,
• 7:27
  he
• 7:27
  would
• 7:27
  just,
• 7:27
  like,
• 7:28
  space
• 7:28
  out.
• 7:29
  And
• 7:29
  at
• 7:29
  the
• 7:29
  end
• 7:30
  of
• 7:30
  the
• 7:30
  show,
• 7:30
  he
• 7:30
  left.
• 7:30
  It
• 7:31
  was
• 7:31
  lovely.
• 7:31
  And
• 7:32
  the
• 7:32
  rest
• 7:32
  of
• 7:32
  the
• 7:32
  cast
• 7:32
  was
• 7:33
  there.
• 7:33
  And
• 7:33
  I
• 7:33
  said,
• 7:33
  what
• 7:33
  do
• 7:33
  you
• 7:33
  think
• 7:33
  of
• 7:34
  him?
• 7:34
  He
• 7:34
  said,
• 7:35
  great.
• 7:35
  Funny
• 7:36
  guy,
• 7:36
  very
• 7:36
  strange.
• 7:37
  I
• 7:37
  said,
• 7:37
  yeah,
• 7:37
  that
• 7:38
  was
• 7:38
  weird,
• 7:38
  huh?
• 7:39
  And
• 7:39
  so
• 7:40
  anyway,
• 7:40
  I
• 7:40
  never
• 7:41
  understood
• 7:41
  what
• 7:41
  that
• 7:42
  was
• 7:42
  about.
• 7:42
  I
• 7:42
  had
• 7:42
  no
• 7:43
  idea
• 7:43
  at
• 7:43
  the
• 7:43
  time
• 7:43
  because
• 7:43
  obviously
• 7:44
  the
• 7:44
  chauffeur
• 7:44
  did
• 7:45
  not
• 7:45
  get
• 7:45
  into
• 7:46
  it
• 7:46
  with
• 7:46
  me
• 7:46
  and
• 7:46
  I
• 7:46
  didn't
• 7:47
  ask
• 7:47
  him.
• 7:47
  But
• 7:48
  six
• 7:48
  months
• 7:48
  later,
• 7:48
  I'm
• 7:49
  in
• 7:49
  that
• 7:49
  lecture
• 7:49
  you
• 7:49
  were
• 7:50
  giving.
• 7:50
  You
• 7:50
  describe
• 7:51
  what
• 7:51
  happened
• 7:51
  to
• 7:51
  him.
• 7:52
  I
• 7:52
  realized
• 7:53
  I
• 7:54
  saw
• 7:54
  the
• 7:54
  sunburn
• 7:55
  and
• 7:55
  conjunctivitis
• 7:56
  you
• 7:56
  described.
• 7:56
  So
• 7:56
  I
• 7:57
  went
• 7:57
  up
• 7:57
  to
• 7:57
  you
• 7:57
  after
• 7:57
  you
• 7:58
  spoke.
• 7:58
  You
• 7:58
  were
• 7:58
  signing
• 7:59
  books,
• 7:59
  you
• 8:00
  were
• 8:00
  swamped.
• 8:01
  And
• 8:01
  I
• 8:01
  went
• 8:02
  up
• 8:02
  to
• 8:02
  you
• 8:02
  And
• 8:02
  I
• 8:02
  said,
• 8:02
  Mr.
• 8:03
  Strieber,
• 8:03
  could
• 8:03
  you
• 8:03
  tell
• 8:04
  me
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  name
• 8:04
  of
• 8:04
  that
• 8:04
  chauffeur?
• 8:06
  And
• 8:06
  you
• 8:06
  didn't
• 8:06
  even
• 8:06
  look
• 8:07
  up
• 8:07
  at
• 8:07
  me.
• 8:07
  You
• 8:07
  said,
• 8:07
  nah,
• 8:08
  nah,
• 8:08
  I
• 8:08
  can't.
• 8:09
  And
• 8:09
  I
• 8:09
  leaned
• 8:10
  into
• 8:10
  you
• 8:10
  and
• 8:10
  I
• 8:10
  whispered,
• 8:11
  is
• 8:11
  it
• 8:11
  so?
• 8:11
  And
• 8:11
  so
• 8:11
  and
• 8:11
  so
• 8:12
  and
• 8:12
  so.
• 8:12
  And
• 8:12
  you
• 8:12
  stopped,
• 8:13
  you
• 8:13
  looked
• 8:13
  me
• 8:13
  in
• 8:14
  the
• 8:14
  eye
• 8:14
  and
• 8:14
  said,
• 8:15
  he'll
• 8:15
  never
• 8:16
  tell.
• 8:18
  I
• 8:18
  have
• 8:18
  to
• 8:18
  say,
• 8:18
  for
• 8:18
  me
• 8:19
  personally,
• 8:19
  that
• 8:19
  was
• 8:19
  the
• 8:19
  greatest
• 8:20
  gift
• 8:21
  I
• 8:21
  could
• 8:21
  have
• 8:21
  ever
• 8:21
  asked
• 8:22
  for,
• 8:22
  because
• 8:22
  I
• 8:22
  always
• 8:23
  asked
• 8:23
  for
• 8:24
  my
• 8:24
  participation
• 8:25
  in
• 8:25
  this
• 8:25
  subject
• 8:25
  matter.
• 8:26
  Not
• 8:26
  to
• 8:26
  be
• 8:26
  personal,
• 8:27
  to
• 8:27
  be
• 8:27
  a
• 8:28
  reporter,
• 8:28
  to
• 8:28
  be
• 8:28
  objective,
• 8:29
  not
• 8:29
  to
• 8:29
  be
• 8:29
  deer
• 8:30
  in
• 8:30
  the
• 8:30
  headlights,
• 8:30
  so
• 8:31
  to
• 8:31
  speak.
• 8:31
  And
• 8:31
  this
• 8:32
  was
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  perfect
• 8:32
  gift
• 8:33
  in
• 8:33
  that
• 8:34
  you
• 8:34
  had
• 8:34
  no
• 8:34
  idea.
• 8:35
  The
• 8:35
  chauffeur
• 8:35
  had
• 8:36
  no
• 8:36
  idea.
• 8:36
  No
• 8:36
  one
• 8:36
  tipped
• 8:37
  me
• 8:37
  off.
• 8:37
  It
• 8:38
  was
• 8:38
  revealed
• 8:39
  to
• 8:39
  me
• 8:39
  in
• 8:39
  a
• 8:40
  perfect
• 8:40
  way
• 8:40
  for
• 8:40
  me
• 8:41
  to
• 8:41
  understand.
• 8:42
  Eventually,
• 8:43
  I
• 8:43
  found
• 8:43
  this
• 8:44
  chauffeur.
• 8:44
  We
• 8:45
  became
• 8:45
  good
• 8:45
  friends.
• 8:46
  And
• 8:46
  I
• 8:47
  didn't
• 8:47
  know
• 8:47
  what
• 8:47
  to
• 8:47
  say
• 8:48
  to
• 8:48
  him
• 8:48
  about
• 8:48
  it
• 8:48
  because,
• 8:49
  you
• 8:49
  know,
• 8:49
  it's
• 8:49
  not
• 8:49
  like
• 8:49
  you
• 8:50
  joke
• 8:50
  around.
• 8:51
  To
• 8:51
  me,
• 8:51
  people
• 8:51
  who've
• 8:52
  gone
• 8:52
  through
• 8:52
  this
• 8:52
  are
• 8:52
  akin
• 8:53
  to
• 8:53
  rape
• 8:53
  victims.
• 8:54
  You're
• 8:54
  just
• 8:54
  careful.
• 8:55
  And
• 8:55
  I
• 8:55
  had
• 8:55
  all
• 8:56
  sorts
• 8:56
  of
• 8:56
  thoughts
• 8:56
  like,
• 8:56
  I'm
• 8:57
  going
• 8:57
  to
• 8:57
  play
• 8:57
  a
• 8:57
  joke
• 8:57
  on
• 8:57
  him.
• 8:58
  Let's
• 8:58
  go
• 8:58
  to
• 8:58
  lunch.
• 8:58
  And
• 8:58
  I'll
• 8:58
  say
• 8:59
  something
• 8:59
  like,
• 8:59
  it's
• 8:59
  now
• 9:00
  time
• 9:00
  for
• 9:00
  us
• 9:00
  to
• 9:00
  tell
• 9:00
  you
• 9:00
  why
• 9:01
  you
• 9:01
  became.
• 9:01
  And
• 9:01
  I
• 9:01
  thought,
• 9:02
  no,
• 9:02
  there's
• 9:02
  cutlery
• 9:02
  on
• 9:02
  the
• 9:03
  table.
• 9:03
  I
• 9:03
  don't
• 9:03
  want
• 9:03
  to
• 9:03
  do
• 9:03
  that.
• 9:05
  And
• 9:06
  he'd
• 9:06
  come
• 9:07
  over
• 9:07
  to
• 9:07
  my
• 9:07
  house
• 9:07
  once
• 9:08
  and
• 9:08
  saw
• 9:08
  my
• 9:08
  UFO
• 9:09
  books
• 9:09
  and
• 9:09
  said,
• 9:10
  I
• 9:10
  had
• 9:10
  something
• 9:10
  happen
• 9:11
  like
• 9:11
  this
• 9:11
  to
• 9:11
  me.
• 9:11
  And
• 9:11
  I
• 9:11
  played
• 9:12
  dumb
• 9:12
  because
• 9:12
  I
• 9:12
  didn't
• 9:12
  want
• 9:13
  to
• 9:13
  taint
• 9:13
  it.
• 9:14
  And
• 9:14
  I
• 9:14
  said,
• 9:14
  oh,
• 9:14
  really?
• 9:15
  Tell
• 9:15
  me.
• 9:15
  And
• 9:15
  he
• 9:16
  told
• 9:16
  me
• 9:16
  exactly
• 9:17
  the
• 9:17
  story
• 9:17
  you
• 9:18
  told
• 9:18
  at
• 9:19
  the
• 9:19
  podium
• 9:19
  with
• 9:20
  even
• 9:20
  more
• 9:20
  detail.
• 9:21
  And
• 9:22
  then
• 9:22
  I
• 9:22
  knew
• 9:22
  there
• 9:22
  was
• 9:22
  something
• 9:23
  to
• 9:23
  all
• 9:23
  of
• 9:23
  this.
• 9:23
  It
• 9:24
  was,
• 9:24
  again,
• 9:25
  the
• 9:25
  greatest
• 9:25
  gift.
• 9:26
  I
• 9:26
  can't
• 9:26
  thank
• 9:26
  you
• 9:26
  enough
• 9:27
  for
• 9:27
  that
• 9:27
  because
• 9:28
  I've
• 9:28
  spent
• 9:28
  40
• 9:29
  years
• 9:29
  to
• 9:30
  doing
• 9:30
  investigative
• 9:31
  field
• 9:31
  research
• 9:32
  and
• 9:32
  interviews
• 9:33
  with
• 9:33
  witnesses
• 9:34
  all
• 9:34
  over
• 9:34
  the
• 9:35
  world
• 9:35
  from
• 9:35
  that
• 9:35
  experience
• 9:36
  and
• 9:37
  have
• 9:37
  gathered
• 9:37
  quite
• 9:37
  a
• 9:37
  lot
• 9:38
  of
• 9:38
  Information.
• 9:39
  So
• 9:39
  thank
• 9:39
  you
• 9:40
  and
• 9:41
  welcome
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  the
• 9:41
  show.
• 9:42
  Yeah,
• 9:42
  I'm.
• 9:42
  I
• 9:42
  am
• 9:43
  surprised.
• 9:43
  And
• 9:44
  thank
• 9:44
  you
• 9:45
  and
• 9:46
  thank.
• 9:46
  Call
• 9:46
  him
• 9:47
  Bernie.
• 9:48
  Okay.
• 9:48
  Why?
• 9:49
  Because
• 9:49
  of
• 9:49
  his
• 9:49
  son.
• 9:49
  His
• 9:50
  sunburn?
• 9:51
  Yeah,
• 9:51
  that's
• 9:51
  right.
• 9:52
  Very
• 9:52
  clever,
• 9:53
  Jen.
• 9:53
  Thank
• 9:53
  you
• 9:54
  and
• 9:55
  I'm
• 9:55
  delighted.
• 9:56
  This
• 9:56
  is.
• 9:56
  This
• 9:56
  is
• 9:56
  a
• 9:57
  fun
• 9:57
  idea,
• 9:57
  Fun
• 9:58
  one
• 9:58
  show.
• 9:59
  I
• 9:59
  haven't
• 10:00
  seen
• 10:00
  Bernie
• 10:00
  in
• 10:00
  a
• 10:00
  long
• 10:01
  time
• 10:02
  and
• 10:02
  so
• 10:02
  we
• 10:03
  can,
• 10:03
  maybe
• 10:03
  we
• 10:04
  can
• 10:04
  share
• 10:04
  some
• 10:05
  stuff
• 10:05
  about
• 10:06
  what
• 10:06
  happened
• 10:07
  afterwards.
• 10:07
  And
• 10:08
  also
• 10:09
  if
• 10:09
  you
• 10:09
  ever
• 10:10
  got
• 10:10
  anything
• 10:10
  out
• 10:11
  of
• 10:11
  the
• 10:11
  Missing
• 10:11
  time
• 10:11
  experience.
• 10:12
  And
• 10:12
  I
• 10:12
  now
• 10:12
  know
• 10:13
  how
• 10:13
  that
• 10:13
  works,
• 10:14
  by
• 10:14
  the
• 10:14
  way,
• 10:15
  I
• 10:15
  know
• 10:15
  I
• 10:16
  can
• 10:16
  explain
• 10:16
  exactly
• 10:17
  how
• 10:17
  missing
• 10:18
  time
• 10:18
  works,
• 10:20
  what
• 10:20
  is
• 10:20
  done
• 10:21
  to
• 10:21
  the
• 10:21
  brain
• 10:21
  to
• 10:22
  cause
• 10:22
  it,
• 10:23
  and.
• 10:23
  And
• 10:24
  also
• 10:25
  what
• 10:25
  is
• 10:25
  left
• 10:26
  over
• 10:26
  when
• 10:26
  you
• 10:27
  have
• 10:27
  missing
• 10:27
  time.
• 10:27
  There
• 10:28
  is.
• 10:28
  It's
• 10:28
  not
• 10:29
  a
• 10:29
  complete
• 10:29
  erasure
• 10:30
  of
• 10:30
  the
• 10:31
  memory,
• 10:32
  nor
• 10:32
  is
• 10:32
  it
• 10:32
  intended
• 10:33
  to
• 10:33
  be,
• 10:33
  I
• 10:33
  wouldn't
• 10:33
  think.
• 10:34
  I
• 10:34
  always
• 10:34
  thought
• 10:35
  that
• 10:35
  Missing
• 10:35
  time
• 10:35
  was
• 10:36
  listening
• 10:36
  to
• 10:36
  Phil
• 10:36
  and
• 10:37
  Ted's
• 10:37
  Sexy
• 10:38
  Boomer
• 10:38
  show,
• 10:39
  but.
• 10:40
  Hey,
• 10:40
  Bernie,
• 10:41
  welcome
• 10:41
  to
• 10:41
  the
• 10:41
  show.
• 10:42
  Whitley,
• 10:42
  you
• 10:42
  helped
• 10:42
  Bernie
• 10:43
  out
• 10:43
  quite
• 10:43
  a
• 10:43
  bit
• 10:44
  after
• 10:44
  his
• 10:45
  experience
• 10:45
  to
• 10:45
  help
• 10:45
  him
• 10:45
  sort
• 10:46
  through
• 10:46
  what
• 10:46
  happened.
• 10:46
  You
• 10:47
  did
• 10:47
  that
• 10:47
  for
• 10:47
  a
• 10:47
  number
• 10:48
  of
• 10:48
  people
• 10:48
  in
• 10:48
  the
• 10:48
  course
• 10:49
  of
• 10:49
  your
• 10:49
  research?
• 10:50
  Yeah,
• 10:51
  a
• 10:51
  fair
• 10:51
  number.
• 10:52
  Dad,
• 10:52
  I
• 10:52
  was
• 10:52
  wondering
• 10:53
  if
• 10:53
  I
• 10:53
  could
• 10:53
  jump
• 10:53
  back
• 10:53
  in.
• 10:54
  Yeah,
• 10:54
  Bernie,
• 10:54
  go
• 10:55
  ahead,
• 10:55
  please.
• 10:55
  I
• 10:56
  ran
• 10:56
  into
• 10:56
  a
• 10:56
  mutual
• 10:57
  friend
• 10:57
  after
• 10:57
  this
• 10:57
  happened
• 10:58
  on
• 10:58
  the
• 10:58
  elevator
• 10:59
  of
• 10:59
  Whitley's.
• 11:00
  There's
• 11:01
  children,
• 11:01
  were
• 11:02
  friends,
• 11:02
  and
• 11:03
  he
• 11:03
  saw
• 11:03
  me
• 11:03
  with
• 11:03
  a
• 11:03
  sunburn.
• 11:04
  He
• 11:04
  said,
• 11:04
  what
• 11:05
  happened
• 11:05
  to
• 11:05
  you?
• 11:05
  And
• 11:06
  I
• 11:06
  just.
• 11:06
  I
• 11:06
  knew
• 11:06
  him
• 11:06
  really
• 11:07
  well,
• 11:07
  so
• 11:07
  I
• 11:07
  started
• 11:07
  telling
• 11:08
  him
• 11:08
  the
• 11:08
  story
• 11:09
  and
• 11:09
  he
• 11:09
  said,
• 11:09
  you
• 11:10
  should
• 11:10
  read
• 11:10
  my
• 11:10
  friend
• 11:11
  Whitley
• 11:11
  Strieber's
• 11:12
  new
• 11:12
  book.
• 11:12
  It's
• 11:12
  not
• 11:12
  out
• 11:12
  yet,
• 11:13
  but
• 11:13
  I've
• 11:13
  got
• 11:13
  an
• 11:13
  advanced
• 11:14
  copy
• 11:14
  and
• 11:15
  I'm
• 11:15
  going
• 11:15
  to
• 11:15
  give
• 11:15
  it
• 11:15
  to
• 11:15
  you.
• 11:15
  You
• 11:16
  can
• 11:16
  read
• 11:16
  it
• 11:16
  tonight.
• 11:17
  And
• 11:17
  I
• 11:17
  went
• 11:18
  up
• 11:18
  to
• 11:18
  my
• 11:18
  room
• 11:18
  and
• 11:18
  I
• 11:19
  opened
• 11:20
  it
• 11:20
  to
• 11:20
  read
• 11:20
  it
• 11:20
  and
• 11:20
  the
• 11:20
  phone
• 11:21
  rang.
• 11:21
  I
• 11:22
  answered
• 11:22
  the
• 11:22
  telephone,
• 11:23
  it
• 11:23
  said,
• 11:24
  Bernie.
• 11:25
  And
• 11:25
  I
• 11:25
  said,
• 11:25
  yes.
• 11:26
  And
• 11:26
  he
• 11:27
  said,
• 11:27
  whitley
• 11:27
  Strieber.
• 11:28
  He
• 11:28
  said,
• 11:29
  don't
• 11:29
  read
• 11:29
  my
• 11:29
  book.
• 11:30
  He
• 11:31
  said,
• 11:31
  put
• 11:31
  the
• 11:31
  book
• 11:32
  away.
• 11:32
  Just
• 11:33
  don't
• 11:33
  even
• 11:33
  look
• 11:33
  at
• 11:33
  it.
• 11:34
  I
• 11:34
  want
• 11:34
  you
• 11:34
  to
• 11:34
  write
• 11:35
  down
• 11:35
  the
• 11:35
  strangest
• 11:36
  things
• 11:36
  that
• 11:36
  ever
• 11:36
  happened
• 11:37
  to
• 11:37
  you
• 11:37
  in
• 11:37
  your
• 11:37
  life.
• 11:38
  Just
• 11:38
  make
• 11:39
  a
• 11:39
  list
• 11:39
  and
• 11:40
  then
• 11:40
  come
• 11:40
  over
• 11:40
  for
• 11:40
  dinner
• 11:41
  Saturday
• 11:41
  night.
• 11:42
  And
• 11:42
  that's
• 11:42
  what
• 11:42
  I
• 11:43
  did.
• 11:44
  And
• 11:44
  we
• 11:44
  went
• 11:44
  over
• 11:45
  the
• 11:45
  list
• 11:45
  and
• 11:45
  I
• 11:46
  went
• 11:46
  over
• 11:46
  one
• 11:47
  element
• 11:48
  of
• 11:48
  it
• 11:48
  that
• 11:49
  I
• 11:49
  thought
• 11:49
  was
• 11:49
  very
• 11:49
  unusual.
• 11:50
  And
• 11:51
  he
• 11:51
  goes
• 11:51
  over
• 11:52
  and
• 11:52
  shows
• 11:52
  me
• 11:52
  where
• 11:52
  exactly
• 11:53
  the
• 11:53
  same
• 11:53
  thing
• 11:54
  happened
• 11:54
  to
• 11:54
  him.
• 11:55
  And
• 11:55
  then
• 11:55
  pulled
• 11:55
  these
• 11:56
  letters
• 11:56
  out
• 11:56
  from
• 11:56
  around
• 11:57
  the
• 11:57
  world.
• 11:57
  Italy,
• 11:58
  South
• 11:58
  America,
• 11:58
  et
• 11:59
  cetera.
• 12:00
  Exactly
• 12:00
  the
• 12:00
  same
• 12:01
  description.
• 12:01
  They
• 12:02
  had
• 12:02
  seen
• 12:02
  the
• 12:02
  same
• 12:02
  thing,
• 12:03
  which
• 12:03
  was
• 12:03
  a
• 12:04
  pretty
• 12:04
  unique
• 12:04
  and
• 12:04
  inexplicable
• 12:05
  image.
• 12:06
  Then
• 12:07
  when
• 12:07
  I
• 12:08
  looked
• 12:08
  at
• 12:08
  things
• 12:08
  that
• 12:08
  had
• 12:08
  happened
• 12:09
  when
• 12:09
  I
• 12:09
  was
• 12:09
  4
• 12:09
  years
• 12:10
  old
• 12:11
  and
• 12:11
  then
• 12:11
  14
• 12:12
  years
• 12:12
  old.
• 12:13
  And
• 12:13
  now,
• 12:14
  at
• 12:14
  34
• 12:14
  years
• 12:15
  old,
• 12:15
  as
• 12:15
  I
• 12:15
  was
• 12:15
  at
• 12:16
  the
• 12:16
  time,
• 12:17
  it
• 12:17
  became
• 12:18
  clear
• 12:18
  that
• 12:19
  this
• 12:19
  was
• 12:19
  either
• 12:19
  all
• 12:20
  one
• 12:20
  incident
• 12:21
  or
• 12:21
  it
• 12:21
  involved
• 12:22
  all
• 12:22
  the
• 12:22
  same
• 12:23
  subject,
• 12:24
  the
• 12:24
  same
• 12:24
  players.
• 12:25
  It
• 12:25
  seemed
• 12:25
  to.
• 12:26
  It
• 12:27
  all
• 12:27
  tied
• 12:27
  in.
• 12:28
  Yeah,
• 12:28
  you
• 12:28
  get
• 12:29
  into
• 12:29
  the
• 12:29
  place
• 12:30
  in
• 12:30
  this
• 12:31
  that
• 12:31
  I
• 12:31
  unwittingly
• 12:32
  ended
• 12:32
  up.
• 12:33
  I
• 12:33
  hadn't
• 12:34
  the
• 12:34
  faintest
• 12:34
  idea.
• 12:35
  When
• 12:35
  I
• 12:35
  published
• 12:36
  Communion,
• 12:36
  I
• 12:37
  thought
• 12:37
  it
• 12:37
  was
• 12:37
  Bud
• 12:37
  Hopkins
• 12:38
  was
• 12:38
  theorizing,
• 12:39
  and
• 12:39
  maybe
• 12:39
  50
• 12:39
  people
• 12:40
  in
• 12:40
  the
• 12:40
  whole
• 12:40
  country
• 12:40
  had
• 12:41
  the
• 12:41
  experience.
• 12:42
  We
• 12:43
  had
• 12:43
  no
• 12:43
  idea.
• 12:44
  And
• 12:44
  then
• 12:45
  about
• 12:45
  a
• 12:46
  week
• 12:46
  after
• 12:46
  the
• 12:46
  book
• 12:46
  published,
• 12:47
  some
• 12:47
  letters
• 12:48
  came
• 12:48
  in,
• 12:48
  and
• 12:48
  I
• 12:48
  thought,
• 12:49
  well,
• 12:50
  authors
• 12:51
  don't
• 12:51
  get
• 12:51
  that
• 12:51
  many
• 12:51
  letters.
• 12:52
  By
• 12:52
  two
• 12:52
  weeks
• 12:53
  later,
• 12:53
  the
• 12:53
  mailman
• 12:54
  were
• 12:54
  bringing
• 12:55
  boxes
• 12:56
  of
• 12:56
  them,
• 12:57
  dumping
• 12:58
  them
• 12:58
  on
• 12:58
  the
• 12:58
  living
• 12:58
  room
• 12:59
  floor.
• 13:00
  And
• 13:00
  I
• 13:01
  said
• 13:01
  to
• 13:01
  Ann,
• 13:02
  I
• 13:02
  was
• 13:02
  looking
• 13:02
  at
• 13:02
  all
• 13:03
  some
• 13:03
  of
• 13:03
  these
• 13:03
  letters,
• 13:03
  and
• 13:04
  they
• 13:04
  were
• 13:04
  very
• 13:04
  intimate,
• 13:06
  very
• 13:06
  personal,
• 13:07
  extraordinary
• 13:08
  experiences
• 13:09
  by
• 13:09
  the
• 13:09
  hundreds.
• 13:10
  And
• 13:11
  they
• 13:11
  were
• 13:11
  all
• 13:11
  signed
• 13:12
  and
• 13:12
  addressed,
• 13:13
  and
• 13:13
  you.
• 13:13
  They
• 13:13
  were
• 13:14
  all
• 13:14
  had
• 13:14
  identity
• 13:15
  right
• 13:15
  there.
• 13:16
  And
• 13:17
  I
• 13:17
  said,
• 13:17
  what
• 13:17
  are
• 13:17
  we
• 13:17
  going
• 13:18
  to
• 13:18
  do,
• 13:18
  Annie?
• 13:19
  We
• 13:19
  can't
• 13:19
  read
• 13:19
  all
• 13:20
  these
• 13:20
  letters,
• 13:20
  and
• 13:21
  we
• 13:21
  can't
• 13:21
  throw
• 13:22
  them
• 13:22
  out.
• 13:22
  I
• 13:22
  mean,
• 13:22
  because
• 13:23
  look
• 13:23
  at
• 13:23
  everybody's
• 13:24
  personal
• 13:24
  information
• 13:25
  and
• 13:25
  everything.
• 13:25
  It's
• 13:26
  private.
• 13:27
  And
• 13:27
  she
• 13:27
  said,
• 13:28
  you
• 13:28
  can't
• 13:28
  read
• 13:28
  them
• 13:29
  maybe,
• 13:29
  but
• 13:29
  I
• 13:29
  can.
• 13:30
  And
• 13:31
  she
• 13:32
  took
• 13:32
  over
• 13:32
  the
• 13:32
  whole
• 13:33
  letter
• 13:33
  thing
• 13:33
  and
• 13:34
  basically
• 13:35
  bought
• 13:35
  a.
• 13:36
  Got
• 13:36
  a
• 13:36
  letter
• 13:37
  opener
• 13:37
  and
• 13:37
  started
• 13:37
  opening
• 13:38
  them.
• 13:38
  And
• 13:38
  she
• 13:38
  was
• 13:38
  a
• 13:39
  dynamo,
• 13:39
  my
• 13:40
  wife.
• 13:40
  And
• 13:41
  then
• 13:41
  she
• 13:41
  hired
• 13:41
  a
• 13:42
  secretary.
• 13:43
  She
• 13:43
  says
• 13:44
  to
• 13:44
  me
• 13:44
  one
• 13:44
  day,
• 13:44
  I
• 13:44
  need
• 13:45
  a
• 13:45
  secretary
• 13:45
  to
• 13:45
  help
• 13:46
  me
• 13:46
  with
• 13:46
  this.
• 13:47
  I
• 13:47
  said,
• 13:47
  okay,
• 13:48
  I'll
• 13:48
  call
• 13:48
  Manpower.
• 13:49
  And
• 13:49
  she
• 13:49
  said,
• 13:49
  no,
• 13:50
  I'll
• 13:50
  find
• 13:50
  the
• 13:50
  secretary
• 13:51
  among
• 13:51
  the
• 13:51
  letters.
• 13:52
  She
• 13:52
  hands
• 13:53
  me
• 13:53
  a
• 13:53
  letter
• 13:53
  and
• 13:53
  she
• 13:53
  says,
• 13:54
  this
• 13:54
  is
• 13:54
  lady.
• 13:55
  I'm
• 13:55
  going
• 13:55
  to
• 13:55
  call
• 13:55
  this
• 13:56
  lady
• 13:56
  and
• 13:56
  see
• 13:56
  if
• 13:56
  she'll
• 13:56
  be
• 13:57
  my
• 13:57
  secretary.
• 13:58
  And
• 13:58
  I
• 13:58
  said,
• 13:59
  she
• 13:59
  says,
• 13:59
  here
• 14:00
  I
• 14:00
  was
• 14:00
  reading
• 14:00
  the
• 14:00
  letter
• 14:01
  that
• 14:01
  she's
• 14:02
  a
• 14:02
  singer
• 14:02
  and
• 14:03
  a.
• 14:03
  An
• 14:04
  actress.
• 14:05
  And
• 14:05
  I
• 14:06
  said,
• 14:06
  she's
• 14:07
  ancestors.
• 14:08
  You
• 14:08
  ever
• 14:09
  heard
• 14:09
  of
• 14:09
  her?
• 14:09
  I
• 14:09
  said,
• 14:10
  no.
• 14:10
  Said,
• 14:11
  look
• 14:11
  at
• 14:11
  the
• 14:11
  handwriting.
• 14:12
  That's
• 14:12
  a
• 14:12
  profession.
• 14:13
  That
• 14:13
  is
• 14:13
  the
• 14:13
  handwriting
• 14:14
  of
• 14:14
  someone
• 14:14
  who
• 14:15
  knows
• 14:15
  a
• 14:15
  lot
• 14:15
  about
• 14:16
  things
• 14:16
  like
• 14:17
  shorthand
• 14:18
  and
• 14:18
  stuff.
• 14:19
  She's
• 14:19
  a
• 14:19
  secretary,
• 14:20
  believe
• 14:20
  me.
• 14:21
  And
• 14:21
  not
• 14:22
  only
• 14:22
  that,
• 14:22
  she
• 14:22
  lives
• 14:23
  down
• 14:23
  the
• 14:23
  street.
• 14:24
  She
• 14:24
  lived
• 14:24
  a
• 14:24
  block
• 14:24
  away
• 14:24
  from
• 14:25
  us.
• 14:25
  Good
• 14:25
  heavens.
• 14:26
  Her
• 14:27
  name
• 14:27
  was
• 14:27
  Laurie
• 14:27
  Barnes,
• 14:28
  and
• 14:28
  she
• 14:28
  was
• 14:28
  Anne,
• 14:29
  Secretary
• 14:29
  for
• 14:29
  the
• 14:29
  next
• 14:30
  15
• 14:30
  years.
• 14:32
  And
• 14:32
  your
• 14:32
  lovely
• 14:32
  wife
• 14:33
  passed
• 14:33
  away
• 14:33
  about
• 14:33
  10
• 14:34
  years
• 14:34
  ago,
• 14:34
  but
• 14:34
  she,
• 14:35
  at
• 14:35
  the
• 14:35
  time
• 14:35
  of
• 14:35
  these
• 14:36
  experiences,
• 14:36
  was
• 14:37
  really
• 14:37
  a
• 14:37
  rock
• 14:37
  for
• 14:37
  you,
• 14:38
  because
• 14:39
  when
• 14:39
  these
• 14:40
  experiences
• 14:40
  started
• 14:41
  to
• 14:41
  happen,
• 14:42
  I
• 14:42
  think
• 14:42
  your
• 14:42
  book
• 14:43
  Communion
• 14:44
  was
• 14:44
  really
• 14:44
  the
• 14:44
  first
• 14:45
  of
• 14:45
  its
• 14:45
  kind.
• 14:46
  And
• 14:46
  you.
• 14:47
  It
• 14:47
  was.
• 14:47
  Yeah.
• 14:47
  And
• 14:48
  you
• 14:48
  put
• 14:48
  yourself
• 14:48
  out
• 14:49
  there
• 14:49
  in
• 14:49
  a
• 14:49
  very
• 14:50
  vulnerable
• 14:50
  position
• 14:51
  because
• 14:51
  you
• 14:51
  were
• 14:52
  talking
• 14:52
  about
• 14:52
  extremely
• 14:53
  unpleasant
• 14:55
  Experiences
• 14:56
  that
• 14:56
  were
• 14:57
  against
• 14:58
  your
• 14:58
  will.
• 14:59
  And
• 14:59
  yet
• 14:59
  you
• 15:00
  had
• 15:00
  an
• 15:00
  author's
• 15:01
  eye
• 15:01
  and
• 15:02
  mind
• 15:02
  and
• 15:02
  described
• 15:03
  your
• 15:04
  experiences
• 15:04
  so
• 15:05
  deeply,
• 15:06
  knowing
• 15:07
  even
• 15:07
  back
• 15:07
  40
• 15:08
  years
• 15:08
  ago.
• 15:08
  The
• 15:09
  ridicule
• 15:09
  factor
• 15:10
  was
• 15:10
  so
• 15:10
  high
• 15:10
  back
• 15:11
  then.
• 15:11
  And
• 15:11
  you
• 15:11
  had
• 15:12
  a
• 15:12
  career,
• 15:13
  you
• 15:13
  had
• 15:13
  a
• 15:13
  reputation
• 15:14
  to
• 15:14
  lose.
• 15:15
  I
• 15:15
  did
• 15:15
  lose
• 15:16
  it,
• 15:16
  too.
• 15:17
  Yeah,
• 15:17
  you
• 15:17
  did.
• 15:17
  Oh,
• 15:18
  wow.
• 15:18
  Absolutely
• 15:20
  gone.
• 15:20
  Yeah,
• 15:21
  I
• 15:21
  know.
• 15:21
  I
• 15:21
  lost
• 15:21
  my
• 15:22
  reputation
• 15:22
  and
• 15:23
  friends
• 15:24
  and
• 15:24
  had
• 15:24
  a
• 15:24
  lot
• 15:24
  of
• 15:25
  friends
• 15:25
  and
• 15:26
  very
• 15:26
  fancy
• 15:27
  friends,
• 15:27
  some
• 15:27
  of
• 15:27
  them
• 15:27
  in
• 15:27
  my
• 15:28
  book.
• 15:28
  In
• 15:28
  fact,
• 15:29
  if
• 15:29
  you
• 15:29
  go
• 15:29
  to
• 15:29
  where
• 15:30
  we
• 15:30
  lived
• 15:30
  in
• 15:30
  New
• 15:31
  YORK
• 15:31
  now,
• 15:32
  to
• 15:32
  LaGuardia
• 15:33
  Place,
• 15:33
  between,
• 15:34
  I
• 15:34
  think,
• 15:35
  3rd
• 15:35
  street
• 15:35
  and
• 15:35
  Bleecker,
• 15:36
  you'll
• 15:37
  find
• 15:37
  LaGuardia
• 15:38
  park,
• 15:40
  beautiful
• 15:40
  park
• 15:40
  with
• 15:41
  a
• 15:41
  beautiful
• 15:41
  statue
• 15:41
  of
• 15:42
  Mayor
• 15:42
  LaGuardia
• 15:43
  in
• 15:43
  it.
• 15:43
  And
• 15:44
  that
• 15:44
  park
• 15:44
  is
• 15:44
  there.
• 15:45
  We
• 15:45
  lived
• 15:46
  right
• 15:46
  across
• 15:46
  the
• 15:46
  street
• 15:47
  because
• 15:47
  Ann
• 15:48
  looked
• 15:48
  down
• 15:48
  out
• 15:48
  of
• 15:48
  the
• 15:48
  living
• 15:49
  room
• 15:49
  window
• 15:49
  at
• 15:49
  the
• 15:49
  dirt
• 15:50
  field
• 15:50
  that
• 15:51
  was
• 15:51
  there
• 15:51
  at
• 15:51
  the
• 15:51
  time
• 15:52
  and
• 15:52
  said,
• 15:53
  you
• 15:53
  know,
• 15:53
  I'm
• 15:53
  going
• 15:53
  to
• 15:53
  make
• 15:53
  that
• 15:54
  into
• 15:54
  a
• 15:54
  park.
• 15:55
  And
• 15:56
  I
• 15:56
  thought,
• 15:56
  oh,
• 15:56
  my
• 15:56
  God.
• 15:57
  I
• 15:57
  visualized
• 15:58
  getting.
• 15:58
  Having
• 15:59
  to
• 15:59
  get
• 15:59
  me
• 15:59
  ending
• 16:00
  up
• 16:00
  out
• 16:00
  there
• 16:00
  with
• 16:00
  shovel.
• 16:01
  Shovels
• 16:01
  and
• 16:02
  stuff.
• 16:02
  Because
• 16:03
  Ann.
• 16:03
  When
• 16:03
  Ann
• 16:04
  said
• 16:04
  she
• 16:04
  was
• 16:04
  going
• 16:04
  to
• 16:04
  do
• 16:04
  something,
• 16:05
  it's
• 16:05
  going
• 16:05
  to
• 16:05
  happen,
• 16:06
  and
• 16:07
  the
• 16:07
  idea
• 16:07
  of
• 16:08
  it
• 16:08
  not
• 16:08
  happening
• 16:08
  never
• 16:09
  even
• 16:09
  crossed
• 16:09
  her
• 16:09
  mind.
• 16:10
  And
• 16:11
  I
• 16:11
  said,
• 16:11
  wait
• 16:12
  a
• 16:12
  minute.
• 16:12
  And
• 16:12
  she
• 16:12
  said,
• 16:12
  no,
• 16:13
  no
• 16:13
  worry.
• 16:13
  You're
• 16:14
  not
• 16:14
  going
• 16:14
  to
• 16:14
  be
• 16:14
  building
• 16:14
  a
• 16:15
  park.
• 16:16
  And
• 16:16
  she
• 16:16
  marshaled
• 16:17
  all
• 16:17
  of
• 16:17
  her
• 16:17
  friends
• 16:18
  together,
• 16:18
  and
• 16:18
  they
• 16:19
  raised
• 16:19
  money,
• 16:20
  a
• 16:21
  couple
• 16:21
  million
• 16:21
  dollars,
• 16:22
  and
• 16:23
  created
• 16:23
  the
• 16:24
  park.
• 16:24
  Now,
• 16:25
  when
• 16:25
  you
• 16:25
  go
• 16:25
  there,
• 16:25
  it's
• 16:26
  beautiful.
• 16:26
  And
• 16:26
  you'll
• 16:27
  see
• 16:27
  a
• 16:27
  plaque
• 16:28
  under
• 16:28
  the
• 16:28
  statue
• 16:28
  of
• 16:29
  LaGuardia,
• 16:30
  and
• 16:30
  all
• 16:30
  of
• 16:30
  their
• 16:31
  names
• 16:31
  are
• 16:31
  on
• 16:31
  it,
• 16:31
  including
• 16:32
  the
• 16:32
  name
• 16:32
  Ann
• 16:33
  and
• 16:33
  Whitley
• 16:33
  Strieber.
• 16:34
  And
• 16:34
  I
• 16:34
  said
• 16:34
  to
• 16:35
  her,
• 16:35
  you
• 16:35
  shouldn't
• 16:35
  put
• 16:35
  my
• 16:36
  name
• 16:36
  on
• 16:36
  that
• 16:36
  plaque.
• 16:37
  And
• 16:37
  she
• 16:37
  said,
• 16:37
  no,
• 16:38
  I'll
• 16:38
  put
• 16:38
  it
• 16:39
  on
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  plaque.
• 16:39
  That's
• 16:40
  all
• 16:40
  right.
• 16:40
  And
• 16:41
  she
• 16:41
  did,
• 16:41
  and
• 16:41
  now
• 16:41
  it's
• 16:42
  there.
• 16:43
  But
• 16:43
  with
• 16:44
  regard
• 16:44
  to
• 16:44
  the
• 16:44
  letters,
• 16:45
  she
• 16:45
  came
• 16:45
  out
• 16:46
  of
• 16:46
  her
• 16:46
  office
• 16:46
  one
• 16:47
  day
• 16:47
  and
• 16:48
  she
• 16:48
  said,
• 16:48
  whitley,
• 16:49
  this
• 16:51
  experience
• 16:51
  isn't
• 16:52
  just
• 16:53
  with
• 16:53
  Close
• 16:53
  Encounters.
• 16:54
  This
• 16:54
  has
• 16:54
  something
• 16:55
  to
• 16:55
  do
• 16:55
  with
• 16:55
  what
• 16:55
  we
• 16:55
  call
• 16:56
  death.
• 16:57
  And
• 16:58
  in
• 16:58
  that
• 16:58
  moment,
• 16:59
  she
• 16:59
  completely
• 17:00
  expanded
• 17:01
  the
• 17:01
  whole
• 17:02
  thing
• 17:02
  into
• 17:02
  a
• 17:03
  whole
• 17:03
  new
• 17:03
  level.
• 17:05
  And
• 17:05
  since
• 17:05
  then,
• 17:06
  I've
• 17:06
  understood
• 17:07
  that
• 17:07
  the.
• 17:07
  What
• 17:08
  we
• 17:08
  consider
• 17:08
  the
• 17:09
  dead
• 17:09
  and
• 17:09
  what
• 17:09
  we
• 17:09
  consider
• 17:11
  NHI
• 17:11
  or
• 17:12
  aliens
• 17:12
  are
• 17:13
  all
• 17:13
  one
• 17:14
  thing.
• 17:14
  It's
• 17:15
  not
• 17:15
  what
• 17:16
  we
• 17:16
  think
• 17:17
  at
• 17:17
  all.
• 17:18
  We
• 17:18
  think
• 17:18
  of
• 17:19
  us
• 17:20
  on
• 17:20
  one
• 17:20
  side
• 17:21
  and
• 17:21
  aliens
• 17:21
  from
• 17:21
  another
• 17:21
  planet
• 17:22
  on
• 17:22
  the
• 17:22
  other.
• 17:23
  This
• 17:23
  is
• 17:23
  a
• 17:23
  much
• 17:24
  more
• 17:24
  complex,
• 17:25
  richer,
• 17:25
  and
• 17:25
  more
• 17:25
  sophisticated
• 17:27
  experience
• 17:28
  than
• 17:28
  that.
• 17:28
  And
• 17:29
  the
• 17:30
  bottom
• 17:30
  line
• 17:30
  still
• 17:31
  remains
• 17:31
  pretty
• 17:31
  much
• 17:32
  the
• 17:32
  same.
• 17:32
  We
• 17:32
  don't
• 17:32
  know
• 17:32
  who
• 17:33
  we
• 17:33
  are,
• 17:34
  we
• 17:34
  don't
• 17:34
  know
• 17:34
  where
• 17:34
  we
• 17:35
  are,
• 17:35
  and
• 17:36
  we
• 17:36
  don't
• 17:36
  know
• 17:36
  what
• 17:36
  in
• 17:36
  the
• 17:36
  dickens
• 17:37
  is.
• 17:37
  Going
• 17:37
  on
• 17:37
  here,
• 17:38
  boy.
• 17:38
  You
• 17:38
  just
• 17:38
  have
• 17:39
  to
• 17:39
  turn
• 17:39
  on
• 17:39
  the
• 17:39
  news
• 17:39
  to
• 17:40
  see
• 17:40
  that.
• 17:40
  Whitley,
• 17:41
  let's
• 17:41
  talk
• 17:41
  about
• 17:43
  what
• 17:43
  happened
• 17:43
  to
• 17:43
  you,
• 17:44
  where
• 17:44
  the.
• 17:44
  How
• 17:44
  this
• 17:44
  all
• 17:45
  started,
• 17:45
  because
• 17:46
  the
• 17:46
  experience
• 17:47
  itself
• 17:47
  is
• 17:48
  incredible
• 17:49
  and
• 17:50
  also
• 17:51
  frightening
• 17:51
  as
• 17:51
  hell.
• 17:52
  But
• 17:52
  you
• 17:52
  always
• 17:52
  struck
• 17:53
  me
• 17:53
  as
• 17:53
  being
• 17:53
  a
• 17:53
  credible
• 17:54
  advocate
• 17:55
  of
• 17:55
  the
• 17:55
  reality
• 17:57
  of
• 17:57
  the
• 17:57
  UFO
• 17:58
  phenomenon,
• 17:59
  which
• 17:59
  you
• 17:59
  have
• 18:00
  continued
• 18:00
  to
• 18:00
  be
• 18:01
  too
• 18:02
  much
• 18:02
  of
• 18:02
  our
• 18:03
  pleasure.
• 18:03
  I've
• 18:04
  heard
• 18:04
  you
• 18:04
  speaking
• 18:05
  on
• 18:05
  coast
• 18:06
  to
• 18:06
  coast
• 18:06
  and
• 18:06
  various
• 18:07
  other
• 18:07
  media
• 18:08
  outlets,
• 18:08
  and
• 18:08
  you've
• 18:09
  always
• 18:09
  been
• 18:09
  enlightening
• 18:11
  and
• 18:11
  comforting
• 18:12
  in
• 18:13
  a
• 18:13
  way,
• 18:13
  to
• 18:14
  the
• 18:14
  concept
• 18:14
  of
• 18:15
  the.
• 18:16
  Multidimensionality
• 18:17
  of
• 18:18
  our
• 18:18
  existence
• 18:19
  and
• 18:20
  involuntary
• 18:21
  involvement.
• 18:22
  That's
• 18:23
  right.
• 18:23
  You
• 18:23
  didn't
• 18:24
  ask
• 18:24
  for
• 18:24
  this,
• 18:24
  just
• 18:24
  came
• 18:25
  at
• 18:25
  you.
• 18:25
  No,
• 18:26
  it
• 18:26
  came
• 18:26
  out
• 18:26
  of
• 18:26
  nowhere.
• 18:27
  As
• 18:27
  far
• 18:27
  as
• 18:27
  I
• 18:27
  was
• 18:27
  concerned.
• 18:28
  You
• 18:28
  were
• 18:28
  in
• 18:28
  your
• 18:28
  cabin
• 18:29
  in
• 18:29
  Ulster,
• 18:30
  New
• 18:30
  York,
• 18:31
  right?
• 18:31
  Originally.
• 18:32
  Did
• 18:32
  you
• 18:33
  have
• 18:33
  any
• 18:33
  predisposition
• 18:34
  or
• 18:34
  interest
• 18:35
  in
• 18:35
  the
• 18:35
  subject
• 18:35
  of
• 18:36
  UFOs
• 18:36
  when
• 18:37
  this
• 18:37
  happened
• 18:37
  to
• 18:37
  you?
• 18:38
  Not
• 18:38
  since
• 18:38
  I
• 18:38
  was
• 18:39
  a
• 18:39
  child.
• 18:40
  When
• 18:40
  I
• 18:40
  was
• 18:40
  a
• 18:40
  little
• 18:40
  boy
• 18:41
  in
• 18:41
  the
• 18:41
  50s,
• 18:42
  everyone
• 18:42
  was
• 18:43
  fascinated
• 18:43
  because
• 18:44
  there
• 18:44
  were
• 18:45
  stories
• 18:45
  all
• 18:45
  over
• 18:45
  the
• 18:46
  papers
• 18:47
  and
• 18:47
  everything,
• 18:47
  and
• 18:47
  we
• 18:47
  boys
• 18:48
  were
• 18:49
  fascinated.
• 18:49
  Interestingly
• 18:50
  enough,
• 18:50
  there
• 18:51
  was
• 18:51
  a
• 18:51
  book
• 18:51
  written
• 18:51
  about
• 18:52
  me
• 18:53
  called
• 18:53
  Report
• 18:54
  on
• 18:54
  Communion.
• 18:55
  And
• 18:55
  the
• 18:55
  authority
• 18:56
  was
• 18:56
  a
• 18:56
  reporter
• 18:57
  from
• 18:57
  San
• 18:57
  Antonio
• 18:58
  and
• 18:58
  went
• 18:59
  through
• 18:59
  all
• 18:59
  of
• 18:59
  my
• 19:00
  friends
• 19:01
  and
• 19:01
  family
• 19:02
  in
• 19:02
  San
• 19:02
  Antonio,
• 19:03
  asking
• 19:03
  them
• 19:04
  what
• 19:05
  they
• 19:05
  remembered
• 19:06
  of
• 19:06
  what
• 19:06
  I
• 19:07
  had
• 19:07
  described
• 19:08
  of
• 19:08
  my
• 19:09
  early
• 19:09
  life
• 19:10
  in
• 19:10
  communion.
• 19:11
  And
• 19:11
  a
• 19:11
  consistent
• 19:12
  report
• 19:12
  was
• 19:13
  from
• 19:13
  the
• 19:13
  parents
• 19:14
  who
• 19:14
  were
• 19:14
  still
• 19:14
  alive
• 19:15
  in
• 19:15
  those
• 19:15
  days,
• 19:16
  that
• 19:17
  he
• 19:17
  was
• 19:18
  an
• 19:18
  odd
• 19:18
  child
• 19:19
  who
• 19:19
  kept
• 19:20
  saying
• 19:20
  that
• 19:21
  he
• 19:21
  was
• 19:21
  being
• 19:22
  kidnapped
• 19:23
  by
• 19:23
  spacemen.
• 19:25
  And
• 19:26
  I
• 19:26
  was.
• 19:27
  I
• 19:27
  was
• 19:27
  apparently
• 19:28
  asking
• 19:29
  for
• 19:29
  help,
• 19:29
  and
• 19:30
  everyone
• 19:30
  assumed
• 19:31
  it
• 19:31
  was
• 19:31
  just
• 19:31
  some
• 19:32
  childish
• 19:32
  fantasy.
• 19:34
  But
• 19:34
  then,
• 19:34
  fast
• 19:35
  forward.
• 19:36
  By
• 19:36
  the
• 19:36
  time
• 19:37
  I
• 19:37
  was
• 19:37
  in
• 19:37
  high
• 19:38
  school,
• 19:38
  I
• 19:38
  had
• 19:38
  completely
• 19:39
  forgotten
• 19:39
  about
• 19:40
  those
• 19:40
  childhood
• 19:40
  things,
• 19:41
  and
• 19:41
  whatever
• 19:42
  was
• 19:42
  happening
• 19:42
  to
• 19:43
  me
• 19:43
  then
• 19:43
  had
• 19:43
  just
• 19:44
  disappeared
• 19:44
  into
• 19:45
  the
• 19:45
  past.
• 19:46
  I
• 19:46
  now
• 19:46
  understand
• 19:47
  why
• 19:47
  memories
• 19:49
  of
• 19:49
  things
• 19:49
  like
• 19:49
  that
• 19:49
  aren't
• 19:50
  retained
• 19:50
  by
• 19:51
  the
• 19:51
  brain.
• 19:51
  I
• 19:51
  understand
• 19:52
  a
• 19:52
  great
• 19:52
  deal
• 19:52
  about
• 19:53
  how
• 19:53
  the
• 19:53
  brain
• 19:53
  works
• 19:54
  at
• 19:54
  this
• 19:54
  point
• 19:54
  in
• 19:54
  my
• 19:54
  life,
• 19:55
  because
• 19:55
  I've
• 19:55
  been
• 19:56
  studying
• 19:56
  it
• 19:56
  for
• 19:56
  years.
• 19:57
  In
• 19:57
  any
• 19:57
  case,
• 19:58
  they
• 19:58
  were
• 19:59
  gone,
• 19:59
  the
• 20:00
  memories
• 20:00
  were
• 20:00
  gone.
• 20:01
  And
• 20:03
  if
• 20:03
  one
• 20:04
  friend
• 20:05
  when
• 20:05
  we
• 20:05
  lived
• 20:05
  in
• 20:06
  New
• 20:06
  York,
• 20:07
  a
• 20:07
  friend
• 20:07
  who
• 20:09
  we
• 20:09
  had
• 20:09
  then
• 20:09
  wrote
• 20:10
  me
• 20:10
  a
• 20:10
  letter,
• 20:11
  an
• 20:12
  email
• 20:12
  a
• 20:12
  couple
• 20:13
  of
• 20:13
  years
• 20:13
  ago
• 20:13
  saying
• 20:15
  that
• 20:15
  the
• 20:15
  subject.
• 20:16
  We
• 20:16
  used
• 20:16
  to
• 20:17
  sit
• 20:17
  around
• 20:17
  and
• 20:17
  talk
• 20:18
  a
• 20:18
  lot
• 20:18
  together
• 20:19
  in
• 20:19
  those
• 20:19
  days.
• 20:19
  And
• 20:20
  he
• 20:20
  said,
• 20:21
  I
• 20:21
  remember
• 20:21
  the
• 20:21
  subject
• 20:22
  of
• 20:22
  UFOs
• 20:23
  came
• 20:23
  up
• 20:23
  one
• 20:23
  time,
• 20:24
  and
• 20:24
  you
• 20:25
  said,
• 20:25
  I
• 20:25
  have
• 20:26
  no
• 20:26
  interest
• 20:26
  whatsoever
• 20:27
  in
• 20:27
  talking
• 20:27
  about
• 20:27
  that.
• 20:28
  And
• 20:28
  we
• 20:29
  changed
• 20:29
  the
• 20:29
  subject.
• 20:30
  That
• 20:30
  was
• 20:31
  where
• 20:31
  I
• 20:31
  was
• 20:31
  when
• 20:32
  this
• 20:32
  happened
• 20:32
  to
• 20:32
  me,
• 20:33
  at
• 20:34
  Ground
• 20:34
  zero,
• 20:34
  essentially.
• 20:35
  And
• 20:35
  I
• 20:35
  woke
• 20:36
  up
• 20:36
  in
• 20:36
  the
• 20:36
  middle
• 20:36
  of
• 20:36
  the
• 20:36
  night
• 20:37
  because
• 20:38
  I
• 20:39
  felt
• 20:39
  a
• 20:40
  sense
• 20:40
  of
• 20:40
  movement
• 20:40
  in
• 20:40
  the
• 20:41
  room
• 20:42
  and
• 20:42
  I
• 20:42
  was
• 20:42
  not
• 20:42
  in
• 20:42
  my
• 20:43
  bedroom.
• 20:43
  I
• 20:43
  couldn't
• 20:43
  believe
• 20:44
  it.
• 20:44
  I
• 20:44
  kept
• 20:44
  trying
• 20:45
  to
• 20:45
  make
• 20:45
  my
• 20:45
  bed
• 20:45
  come
• 20:45
  up
• 20:46
  around
• 20:46
  me
• 20:46
  because
• 20:46
  I
• 20:46
  was
• 20:46
  assuming
• 20:47
  I
• 20:47
  was
• 20:47
  having
• 20:47
  a
• 20:47
  nightmare.
• 20:48
  And
• 20:49
  instead
• 20:50
  it
• 20:51
  gradually
• 20:53
  became
• 20:54
  an
• 20:55
  impossible,
• 20:56
  apparently
• 20:57
  real
• 20:57
  experience.
• 20:59
  And
• 21:00
  it
• 21:00
  was
• 21:00
  just
• 21:01
  appalling.
• 21:02
  There's
• 21:03
  all
• 21:03
  these
• 21:03
  bug
• 21:04
  like
• 21:05
  creatures
• 21:05
  you
• 21:06
  mentioned.
• 21:06
  The
• 21:06
  big
• 21:06
  black
• 21:07
  eyes
• 21:07
  earlier
• 21:07
  were
• 21:08
  staring
• 21:08
  at
• 21:08
  me.
• 21:09
  They
• 21:09
  were
• 21:10
  obviously
• 21:10
  very
• 21:11
  scared
• 21:11
  of
• 21:11
  me.
• 21:12
  And
• 21:12
  then
• 21:12
  there
• 21:12
  had
• 21:13
  a
• 21:13
  voice
• 21:13
  that
• 21:14
  turned
• 21:14
  on
• 21:14
  and
• 21:15
  started
• 21:15
  saying
• 21:15
  in
• 21:16
  this
• 21:16
  very
• 21:17
  mechanical
• 21:17
  way,
• 21:18
  what
• 21:18
  can
• 21:18
  we
• 21:18
  do
• 21:19
  to
• 21:19
  help
• 21:19
  you
• 21:19
  stop
• 21:19
  screaming
• 21:20
  and
• 21:21
  repeating
• 21:22
  that
• 21:22
  phrase.
• 21:22
  I
• 21:22
  didn't
• 21:22
  even
• 21:23
  know
• 21:23
  I
• 21:23
  was
• 21:23
  screaming.
• 21:24
  How
• 21:24
  old
• 21:24
  were
• 21:25
  you
• 21:25
  when
• 21:25
  this
• 21:25
  happened?
• 21:26
  Let's
• 21:26
  see,
• 21:26
  in
• 21:27
  1985.
• 21:28
  You're
• 21:28
  talking
• 21:28
  to
• 21:28
  a
• 21:28
  writer.
• 21:29
  I'll
• 21:29
  have
• 21:29
  to
• 21:29
  figure
• 21:29
  that
• 21:29
  out.
• 21:31
  Must
• 21:31
  have
• 21:31
  been
• 21:31
  40.
• 21:32
  40,
• 21:32
  okay,
• 21:33
  so
• 21:33
  you're
• 21:34
  well
• 21:34
  into
• 21:34
  adulthood.
• 21:35
  You
• 21:35
  have
• 21:36
  a
• 21:36
  wife
• 21:36
  and
• 21:36
  child.
• 21:37
  I
• 21:38
  had
• 21:38
  a
• 21:38
  wife
• 21:38
  and
• 21:38
  child
• 21:39
  in
• 21:39
  the
• 21:39
  cabin.
• 21:39
  And
• 21:40
  the
• 21:40
  next
• 21:41
  morning
• 21:41
  when
• 21:41
  I
• 21:41
  woke
• 21:42
  up,
• 21:43
  I
• 21:43
  felt
• 21:43
  awful.
• 21:44
  And
• 21:45
  I
• 21:45
  remembered
• 21:46
  something
• 21:46
  going
• 21:46
  on
• 21:46
  in
• 21:47
  the
• 21:47
  night.
• 21:48
  And
• 21:48
  I
• 21:48
  said
• 21:49
  to
• 21:49
  my
• 21:49
  wife
• 21:50
  that
• 21:50
  I
• 21:50
  had
• 21:51
  seen
• 21:51
  an
• 21:51
  owl
• 21:52
  and
• 21:52
  looked
• 21:52
  at
• 21:52
  me,
• 21:53
  because
• 21:53
  you
• 21:53
  couldn't
• 21:53
  get
• 21:54
  an
• 21:54
  owl
• 21:54
  and
• 21:54
  no
• 21:54
  owl
• 21:55
  could
• 21:55
  come
• 21:55
  into
• 21:55
  the
• 21:56
  house.
• 21:56
  And
• 21:56
  I
• 21:56
  talked
• 21:57
  about
• 21:57
  the
• 21:57
  owl
• 21:57
  a
• 21:57
  good
• 21:57
  bit.
• 21:58
  Yeah.
• 21:59
  And
• 22:00
  finally,
• 22:00
  as
• 22:01
  evening
• 22:01
  fell,
• 22:03
  I
• 22:03
  realized
• 22:03
  there
• 22:04
  had
• 22:04
  been
• 22:04
  no
• 22:04
  Al
• 22:05
  in
• 22:05
  the
• 22:05
  house.
• 22:06
  And
• 22:06
  that
• 22:06
  was
• 22:08
  that.
• 22:08
  That
• 22:09
  was
• 22:09
  when
• 22:09
  I
• 22:09
  decided
• 22:10
  not
• 22:10
  that
• 22:10
  I
• 22:10
  had
• 22:10
  seen
• 22:11
  aliens,
• 22:11
  that
• 22:11
  still
• 22:11
  didn't
• 22:12
  occur
• 22:12
  to
• 22:12
  me
• 22:12
  for
• 22:12
  weeks,
• 22:13
  but
• 22:13
  that
• 22:13
  I
• 22:14
  had
• 22:14
  some
• 22:14
  kind
• 22:14
  of
• 22:15
  a
• 22:15
  psychotic
• 22:15
  break,
• 22:16
  more
• 22:16
  than
• 22:16
  worse
• 22:17
  than
• 22:17
  a
• 22:17
  dream.
• 22:17
  And
• 22:18
  I
• 22:18
  became
• 22:19
  very
• 22:19
  frightened
• 22:20
  because
• 22:20
  I
• 22:20
  was
• 22:20
  raising
• 22:21
  a
• 22:21
  child
• 22:21
  and
• 22:21
  having
• 22:22
  a
• 22:22
  wonderful
• 22:22
  wife,
• 22:23
  life
• 22:23
  with
• 22:23
  my
• 22:24
  wife.
• 22:24
  And
• 22:24
  suddenly,
• 22:26
  was
• 22:27
  I
• 22:27
  going
• 22:27
  to
• 22:27
  lose
• 22:28
  all
• 22:28
  of
• 22:28
  that?
• 22:29
  So
• 22:29
  initially
• 22:29
  you
• 22:29
  felt
• 22:30
  that
• 22:30
  this
• 22:31
  was
• 22:31
  some
• 22:31
  gnawing
• 22:33
  realization
• 22:33
  that
• 22:34
  you.
• 22:34
  It
• 22:34
  was
• 22:34
  like
• 22:34
  a
• 22:35
  dreamlike
• 22:35
  state.
• 22:36
  So
• 22:36
  you
• 22:36
  can't
• 22:36
  really
• 22:36
  pin
• 22:37
  it
• 22:37
  down,
• 22:37
  but
• 22:37
  you
• 22:37
  knew
• 22:38
  something
• 22:38
  unpleasant
• 22:39
  and
• 22:40
  heavy.
• 22:40
  Went,
• 22:40
  something
• 22:41
  awful
• 22:41
  had
• 22:41
  happened.
• 22:42
  And
• 22:43
  then
• 22:43
  in
• 22:44
  the
• 22:44
  next
• 22:45
  week
• 22:45
  or
• 22:46
  so,
• 22:46
  I
• 22:46
  really
• 22:47
  became
• 22:47
  very
• 22:47
  strung
• 22:48
  out.
• 22:48
  I
• 22:49
  was
• 22:50
  beginning
• 22:51
  to
• 22:51
  remember
• 22:52
  this
• 22:53
  sort
• 22:53
  of
• 22:54
  masochistic,
• 22:55
  sadistic
• 22:56
  thing
• 22:56
  that
• 22:56
  had
• 22:57
  happened
• 22:57
  to
• 22:57
  me.
• 22:57
  And
• 22:57
  I
• 22:57
  couldn't
• 22:58
  figure
• 22:58
  out,
• 22:58
  was
• 22:58
  I
• 22:59
  kidnapped
• 22:59
  by
• 23:00
  somebody?
• 23:00
  Then
• 23:01
  I.
• 23:01
  My
• 23:01
  butt
• 23:02
  started
• 23:02
  hurting
• 23:02
  and
• 23:03
  I
• 23:03
  remembered
• 23:04
  some.
• 23:04
  Someone
• 23:05
  raping
• 23:05
  me,
• 23:05
  basically.
• 23:07
  And
• 23:07
  I
• 23:07
  thought,
• 23:08
  holy,
• 23:09
  I've
• 23:09
  gone
• 23:10
  crazy.
• 23:11
  Because
• 23:11
  nothing
• 23:12
  could.
• 23:12
  That
• 23:13
  could
• 23:13
  not
• 23:13
  have
• 23:13
  happened.
• 23:14
  There
• 23:14
  was
• 23:14
  no
• 23:15
  way.
• 23:15
  I
• 23:16
  was
• 23:16
  in
• 23:16
  a
• 23:16
  house
• 23:17
  in
• 23:17
  the
• 23:17
  country
• 23:18
  with
• 23:18
  absolutely
• 23:19
  no
• 23:19
  chance
• 23:19
  of
• 23:20
  anything
• 23:20
  like
• 23:20
  that
• 23:20
  happening.
• 23:20
  So
• 23:21
  I
• 23:21
  went
• 23:21
  to
• 23:21
  the
• 23:21
  doctor,
• 23:23
  figuring
• 23:23
  that
• 23:23
  whatever
• 23:24
  was
• 23:24
  wrong,
• 23:26
  it
• 23:27
  was
• 23:27
  something.
• 23:27
  And
• 23:27
  I
• 23:28
  told
• 23:28
  him
• 23:28
  the
• 23:28
  whole
• 23:28
  story
• 23:29
  that
• 23:29
  I
• 23:29
  remembered
• 23:30
  at
• 23:30
  that
• 23:30
  point.
• 23:30
  And
• 23:30
  he
• 23:30
  said
• 23:31
  he
• 23:31
  was
• 23:31
  the
• 23:31
  first
• 23:32
  person
• 23:32
  to
• 23:33
  bring
• 23:33
  up
• 23:34
  flying
• 23:34
  saucers.
• 23:34
  He
• 23:35
  says,
• 23:35
  whitley,
• 23:35
  it
• 23:35
  sounds
• 23:36
  like
• 23:36
  you're
• 23:36
  telling
• 23:36
  me
• 23:37
  you
• 23:37
  were
• 23:37
  taken
• 23:38
  aboard
• 23:38
  a
• 23:38
  flying
• 23:38
  Saucer
• 23:39
  by
• 23:39
  little
• 23:39
  men.
• 23:41
  I
• 23:41
  thought,
• 23:41
  holy
• 23:42
  shit.
• 23:44
  That
• 23:45
  is
• 23:45
  what
• 23:45
  it
• 23:45
  sounds
• 23:45
  like.
• 23:46
  And
• 23:46
  I
• 23:46
  went
• 23:46
  through
• 23:47
  a
• 23:47
  long
• 23:47
  period
• 23:47
  of
• 23:48
  testing
• 23:48
  and
• 23:49
  psychological
• 23:50
  testing
• 23:51
  and
• 23:52
  brain
• 23:52
  scans
• 23:53
  and
• 23:53
  all
• 23:53
  kinds
• 23:53
  of
• 23:54
  stuff,
• 23:55
  trying
• 23:55
  to
• 23:55
  figure
• 23:55
  out
• 23:56
  in
• 23:56
  what
• 23:56
  way
• 23:57
  was
• 23:57
  I
• 23:57
  crazy?
• 23:58
  And
• 23:58
  that
• 23:58
  was
• 23:58
  a
• 23:59
  doctor's
• 24:00
  approach
• 24:01
  as
• 24:01
  well.
• 24:02
  But
• 24:03
  my
• 24:04
  rectal
• 24:05
  injury
• 24:05
  kept
• 24:05
  on
• 24:05
  and
• 24:06
  finally
• 24:06
  said
• 24:07
  to
• 24:07
  him,
• 24:07
  I
• 24:07
  said,
• 24:07
  I've
• 24:08
  got
• 24:08
  to
• 24:08
  have
• 24:08
  this
• 24:08
  examined
• 24:09
  because
• 24:09
  I'm
• 24:09
  really
• 24:10
  in
• 24:10
  so
• 24:10
  much
• 24:10
  pain
• 24:10
  I
• 24:10
  can
• 24:11
  hardly
• 24:11
  sleep.
• 24:12
  Wow.
• 24:12
  He
• 24:13
  examined
• 24:13
  me
• 24:14
  and
• 24:14
  he
• 24:14
  said,
• 24:14
  we'd
• 24:15
  either
• 24:15
  you
• 24:15
  have
• 24:15
  a
• 24:16
  rectal
• 24:16
  lesion.
• 24:18
  And
• 24:18
  I
• 24:19
  thought,
• 24:19
  oh,
• 24:19
  God,
• 24:20
  cancer.
• 24:21
  And
• 24:21
  no,
• 24:21
  it
• 24:21
  turned
• 24:22
  out
• 24:22
  to
• 24:22
  be
• 24:22
  meant
• 24:23
  a
• 24:23
  wound
• 24:23
  that
• 24:24
  I
• 24:24
  had
• 24:24
  been
• 24:24
  injured.
• 24:25
  And
• 24:26
  that
• 24:26
  was
• 24:26
  incidentally
• 24:28
  the.
• 24:29
  When
• 24:29
  I
• 24:29
  very
• 24:30
  shyly
• 24:30
  called
• 24:31
  it
• 24:31
  a
• 24:31
  rectal
• 24:31
  pro.
• 24:32
  Somewhere
• 24:33
  along
• 24:33
  the
• 24:33
  line,
• 24:33
  every
• 24:34
  troll
• 24:35
  and
• 24:36
  jerk,
• 24:37
  probably
• 24:37
  government
• 24:37
  agent
• 24:38
  in
• 24:38
  America
• 24:39
  and
• 24:40
  the
• 24:40
  world
• 24:40
  eventually
• 24:41
  picked
• 24:41
  up
• 24:41
  on
• 24:41
  it.
• 24:42
  And
• 24:42
  I
• 24:42
  ended
• 24:43
  up
• 24:43
  spending
• 24:43
  the
• 24:44
  next
• 24:44
  30
• 24:44
  years
• 24:45
  being
• 24:46
  laughed
• 24:46
  at
• 24:47
  for
• 24:47
  being
• 24:47
  raped.
• 24:48
  Oh,
• 24:48
  my
• 24:49
  Lord
• 24:49
  is
• 24:50
  easy
• 24:51
  now.
• 24:51
  You've
• 24:51
  had
• 24:51
  40
• 24:52
  years
• 24:52
  to
• 24:53
  meditate
• 24:54
  on
• 24:54
  this.
• 24:54
  Same
• 24:55
  thing
• 24:55
  happened
• 24:55
  with
• 24:55
  Travis
• 24:55
  Walton.
• 24:56
  I
• 24:56
  interviewed
• 24:57
  him
• 24:57
  about
• 24:57
  within
• 24:58
  three
• 24:58
  months
• 24:58
  after
• 24:58
  his
• 24:58
  experience,
• 24:59
  and
• 25:00
  I
• 25:00
  interviewed
• 25:00
  him
• 25:00
  35
• 25:01
  years
• 25:01
  later,
• 25:01
  and
• 25:01
  I
• 25:01
  had
• 25:02
  the
• 25:02
  original
• 25:02
  conversation
• 25:03
  I
• 25:03
  had
• 25:03
  with
• 25:03
  him,
• 25:04
  and
• 25:04
  I
• 25:04
  didn't
• 25:04
  tell
• 25:04
  him
• 25:05
  that
• 25:05
  I
• 25:05
  had
• 25:05
  talked
• 25:05
  to
• 25:06
  him
• 25:06
  before.
• 25:06
  And
• 25:07
  I
• 25:07
  asked
• 25:07
  him
• 25:07
  exactly
• 25:08
  the
• 25:08
  same
• 25:08
  questions
• 25:09
  that
• 25:09
  I
• 25:09
  had
• 25:09
  asked
• 25:09
  him
• 25:09
  35
• 25:10
  years
• 25:10
  earlier.
• 25:11
  And
• 25:11
  he
• 25:11
  was
• 25:11
  still
• 25:11
  in
• 25:11
  shock
• 25:12
  when
• 25:12
  I
• 25:12
  talked
• 25:12
  to
• 25:12
  him
• 25:12
  the
• 25:12
  first
• 25:13
  time,
• 25:13
  not
• 25:13
  only
• 25:14
  did
• 25:14
  he
• 25:14
  answer
• 25:15
  every
• 25:15
  question
• 25:16
  I
• 25:16
  had
• 25:16
  exactly
• 25:17
  the
• 25:17
  same
• 25:17
  way
• 25:17
  he
• 25:18
  elaborated
• 25:18
  on
• 25:19
  it.
• 25:19
  And
• 25:19
  I
• 25:19
  asked
• 25:19
  him,
• 25:20
  you've
• 25:20
  had
• 25:20
  a
• 25:20
  family.
• 25:21
  You've
• 25:21
  grown
• 25:21
  up.
• 25:22
  You've
• 25:22
  had
• 25:22
  40
• 25:23
  years
• 25:23
  to
• 25:23
  think
• 25:23
  about
• 25:23
  this.
• 25:24
  What
• 25:24
  do
• 25:24
  you
• 25:24
  think
• 25:25
  happened?
• 25:25
  And
• 25:25
  he
• 25:26
  had
• 25:26
  a
• 25:26
  whole
• 25:26
  other
• 25:26
  take
• 25:27
  on
• 25:27
  it.
• 25:27
  He
• 25:28
  saw
• 25:28
  it
• 25:28
  as
• 25:28
  his
• 25:29
  fault
• 25:29
  that
• 25:29
  he
• 25:29
  put
• 25:30
  himself
• 25:30
  in
• 25:30
  harm's
• 25:30
  way,
• 25:31
  and
• 25:31
  they
• 25:31
  had
• 25:31
  no
• 25:31
  choice
• 25:32
  but
• 25:32
  to
• 25:32
  help
• 25:32
  him.
• 25:33
  So
• 25:33
  he
• 25:33
  doesn't
• 25:34
  have
• 25:34
  any
• 25:34
  beef
• 25:34
  with
• 25:35
  what
• 25:35
  happened
• 25:36
  by
• 25:36
  these
• 25:36
  creatures
• 25:37
  or
• 25:37
  whatever
• 25:38
  it
• 25:38
  was.
• 25:38
  That's
• 25:38
  interesting.
• 25:39
  Now,
• 25:39
  how
• 25:39
  about
• 25:40
  yourself?
• 25:41
  How
• 25:41
  is
• 25:41
  your.
• 25:41
  I
• 25:42
  do
• 25:42
  want
• 25:42
  to
• 25:42
  get
• 25:42
  into
• 25:42
  a
• 25:42
  little
• 25:42
  bit
• 25:43
  of
• 25:43
  the
• 25:43
  details
• 25:43
  for
• 25:43
  people
• 25:43
  who
• 25:44
  don't
• 25:44
  know
• 25:44
  the
• 25:44
  story
• 25:44
  of
• 25:44
  what
• 25:45
  actually
• 25:45
  happened,
• 25:45
  because
• 25:46
  eventually
• 25:47
  you
• 25:47
  sought
• 25:47
  an
• 25:48
  hypnotist,
• 25:48
  Bud
• 25:49
  Hopkins,
• 25:49
  who
• 25:49
  at
• 25:50
  the
• 25:50
  time
• 25:50
  was
• 25:50
  researching,
• 25:51
  doing
• 25:52
  these
• 25:52
  things.
• 25:52
  Well,
• 25:52
  I
• 25:52
  talked
• 25:52
  to
• 25:52
  Bud
• 25:53
  Hopkins.
• 25:53
  What
• 25:53
  happened
• 25:54
  was,
• 25:54
  this
• 25:54
  is
• 25:55
  so
• 25:55
  odd.
• 25:56
  My
• 25:56
  brother,
• 25:57
  who
• 25:58
  is
• 25:58
  somehow
• 25:58
  connected
• 25:59
  with
• 25:59
  all
• 25:59
  of
• 26:00
  this.
• 26:00
  We
• 26:00
  don't
• 26:01
  know
• 26:01
  how,
• 26:01
  but
• 26:02
  we
• 26:02
  know
• 26:02
  he
• 26:02
  is.
• 26:02
  Both
• 26:03
  of
• 26:03
  us
• 26:03
  do.
• 26:03
  He
• 26:04
  doesn't
• 26:04
  remember
• 26:05
  any
• 26:06
  close
• 26:06
  encounters
• 26:06
  of
• 26:06
  his
• 26:07
  own,
• 26:07
  but
• 26:08
  he
• 26:08
  was
• 26:08
  in
• 26:08
  a
• 26:08
  bookstore
• 26:10
  in
• 26:10
  November
• 26:11
  of
• 26:11
  that
• 26:11
  year
• 26:13
  of
• 26:13
  85
• 26:14
  and
• 26:14
  looking
• 26:14
  for
• 26:14
  a
• 26:15
  Christmas
• 26:15
  present
• 26:15
  for
• 26:16
  me.
• 26:16
  And
• 26:17
  we
• 26:17
  traditionally
• 26:18
  send
• 26:18
  each
• 26:18
  other
• 26:18
  Christmas
• 26:19
  Presents
• 26:19
  we
• 26:19
  don't
• 26:19
  like.
• 26:20
  For
• 26:20
  some
• 26:20
  unknown
• 26:20
  reason,
• 26:22
  I
• 26:22
  always
• 26:23
  manage
• 26:23
  to
• 26:23
  find
• 26:23
  things
• 26:24
  he
• 26:24
  hates
• 26:24
  and
• 26:24
  he.
• 26:24
  And
• 26:25
  vice
• 26:25
  versa.
• 26:26
  So
• 26:28
  for
• 26:28
  some
• 26:28
  crazy
• 26:29
  reason,
• 26:29
  he
• 26:30
  decides
• 26:30
  to
• 26:30
  buy
• 26:30
  a
• 26:31
  UFO
• 26:31
  book
• 26:31
  for
• 26:32
  me.
• 26:33
  And
• 26:35
  the
• 26:35
  odd
• 26:36
  thing
• 26:36
  about
• 26:36
  it
• 26:36
  was
• 26:36
  he
• 26:37
  saw
• 26:37
  the
• 26:37
  book
• 26:37
  lying
• 26:38
  in
• 26:38
  a
• 26:38
  Barnes
• 26:38
  and
• 26:38
  Noble
• 26:39
  and
• 26:39
  picked
• 26:39
  it
• 26:39
  up
• 26:40
  and
• 26:40
  decided
• 26:41
  to
• 26:41
  buy
• 26:41
  it
• 26:41
  for
• 26:42
  me.
• 26:43
  And
• 26:43
  when
• 26:43
  he
• 26:43
  got
• 26:43
  to
• 26:44
  the
• 26:44
  desk,
• 26:44
  it
• 26:45
  wasn't
• 26:46
  on
• 26:46
  their.
• 26:46
  In.
• 26:46
  In.
• 26:47
  In
• 26:47
  their
• 26:47
  inventory
• 26:48
  and
• 26:48
  it
• 26:48
  was
• 26:49
  denominated
• 26:49
  in
• 26:50
  pounds.
• 26:51
  It
• 26:51
  was
• 26:51
  Jenny
• 26:52
  Randall's
• 26:52
  book
• 26:53
  science
• 26:53
  and
• 26:53
  the
• 26:54
  UFOs.
• 26:55
  And
• 26:56
  they
• 26:56
  finally
• 26:56
  sold
• 26:57
  it
• 26:57
  to
• 26:57
  him
• 26:57
  for
• 26:57
  $5
• 26:58
  or
• 26:58
  something
• 26:59
  and
• 27:00
  he
• 27:01
  sent
• 27:01
  it
• 27:02
  to
• 27:02
  me.
• 27:02
  And
• 27:02
  I.
• 27:02
  When
• 27:02
  I
• 27:03
  opened
• 27:03
  it
• 27:03
  the
• 27:03
  Christmas
• 27:03
  morning,
• 27:04
  I
• 27:04
  thought
• 27:04
  typical
• 27:05
  and
• 27:05
  just
• 27:06
  tossed
• 27:06
  to
• 27:06
  the
• 27:06
  side
• 27:08
  and.
• 27:08
  But
• 27:09
  then
• 27:09
  six
• 27:09
  weeks
• 27:10
  or
• 27:10
  so
• 27:10
  later,
• 27:10
  I'm
• 27:11
  beginning
• 27:11
  to
• 27:11
  think
• 27:13
  they
• 27:13
  looked
• 27:14
  like
• 27:14
  something
• 27:14
  from
• 27:15
  another
• 27:15
  world.
• 27:15
  These
• 27:16
  things
• 27:16
  and
• 27:17
  the
• 27:18
  stress
• 27:19
  of
• 27:19
  the
• 27:19
  traumas
• 27:19
  wearing
• 27:20
  off.
• 27:20
  And
• 27:20
  I'm
• 27:20
  beginning
• 27:21
  to
• 27:21
  remember
• 27:21
  more.
• 27:22
  And
• 27:23
  then
• 27:24
  I
• 27:24
  saw
• 27:24
  in
• 27:24
  the
• 27:24
  book
• 27:25
  a
• 27:25
  description
• 27:26
  of.
• 27:26
  Toward
• 27:26
  the
• 27:26
  end
• 27:27
  of
• 27:27
  the
• 27:27
  book
• 27:27
  of
• 27:28
  something
• 27:28
  that's
• 27:28
  very
• 27:29
  similar
• 27:29
  to
• 27:29
  what
• 27:29
  happened
• 27:30
  to
• 27:30
  me
• 27:30
  and
• 27:31
  the
• 27:31
  mention
• 27:31
  of
• 27:31
  Bud
• 27:32
  Hopkins,
• 27:32
  who
• 27:33
  was
• 27:33
  described
• 27:34
  as
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  researcher.
• 27:36
  So
• 27:36
  he
• 27:36
  turned
• 27:37
  out
• 27:37
  to
• 27:37
  live
• 27:37
  about
• 27:38
  two
• 27:38
  blocks,
• 27:38
  three
• 27:38
  blocks
• 27:39
  from
• 27:39
  us
• 27:40
  in
• 27:40
  Manhattan.
• 27:41
  And
• 27:42
  I
• 27:42
  called
• 27:42
  him
• 27:43
  up
• 27:43
  and
• 27:43
  we
• 27:43
  went
• 27:43
  over
• 27:43
  to
• 27:44
  his
• 27:44
  house
• 27:45
  and
• 27:45
  he
• 27:45
  turned
• 27:46
  out
• 27:46
  not
• 27:46
  to
• 27:46
  be
• 27:46
  a
• 27:46
  researcher
• 27:47
  at
• 27:47
  all,
• 27:47
  but
• 27:47
  an
• 27:47
  artist
• 27:48
  who
• 27:48
  was
• 27:48
  interested
• 27:49
  in
• 27:49
  this.
• 27:49
  And
• 27:50
  he
• 27:50
  immediately
• 27:50
  wanted
• 27:51
  to
• 27:51
  hypnotize
• 27:51
  me.
• 27:52
  And
• 27:52
  I
• 27:52
  said,
• 27:53
  wait
• 27:53
  a
• 27:53
  minute,
• 27:54
  I
• 27:54
  don't
• 27:54
  see
• 27:55
  any
• 27:55
  certificates
• 27:56
  on
• 27:56
  your
• 27:57
  walls.
• 27:58
  And
• 27:58
  so
• 27:59
  he
• 27:59
  proceeds
• 27:59
  to.
• 28:00
  I
• 28:00
  have
• 28:01
  to
• 28:01
  hand
• 28:01
  it
• 28:01
  to
• 28:01
  this
• 28:01
  Tim.
• 28:02
  We've
• 28:03
  had
• 28:03
  a
• 28:03
  falling
• 28:03
  out
• 28:03
  later.
• 28:04
  But
• 28:04
  anyway,
• 28:05
  he
• 28:06
  got
• 28:06
  me
• 28:06
  in
• 28:06
  touch
• 28:07
  with
• 28:07
  probably
• 28:08
  the
• 28:08
  best
• 28:08
  forensic
• 28:09
  hypnotist
• 28:09
  on
• 28:10
  planet
• 28:10
  Earth,
• 28:11
  Dr.
• 28:12
  Donald
• 28:12
  Klein.
• 28:13
  Dr.
• 28:14
  Klein
• 28:14
  had
• 28:15
  at
• 28:15
  that
• 28:15
  point
• 28:15
  in
• 28:15
  his
• 28:16
  career
• 28:16
  he
• 28:17
  was
• 28:17
  the
• 28:17
  head
• 28:17
  of
• 28:17
  the
• 28:17
  New
• 28:18
  York
• 28:18
  State
• 28:18
  Department
• 28:18
  of
• 28:19
  Psychiatry,
• 28:19
  which
• 28:19
  put
• 28:20
  him
• 28:20
  in
• 28:20
  way
• 28:20
  up
• 28:21
  at
• 28:21
  the
• 28:21
  top
• 28:21
  of
• 28:21
  the
• 28:21
  profession.
• 28:23
  And
• 28:24
  he
• 28:24
  had
• 28:24
  at
• 28:24
  that
• 28:25
  time
• 28:25
  in
• 28:25
  his
• 28:25
  life,
• 28:26
  72
• 28:27
  cases
• 28:28
  where
• 28:28
  he
• 28:29
  had
• 28:29
  solved
• 28:30
  the
• 28:30
  cases
• 28:30
  are.
• 28:31
  Contributed
• 28:31
  significantly
• 28:33
  to
• 28:33
  the
• 28:33
  solution
• 28:34
  of
• 28:34
  the
• 28:34
  cases
• 28:34
  using
• 28:34
  forensic
• 28:35
  hypnosis.
• 28:36
  So
• 28:37
  he
• 28:37
  was
• 28:37
  the
• 28:37
  real
• 28:37
  deal.
• 28:38
  And
• 28:38
  of
• 28:38
  course,
• 28:39
  after
• 28:40
  the
• 28:40
  book
• 28:41
  came
• 28:41
  out,
• 28:42
  the
• 28:43
  media
• 28:43
  started
• 28:44
  churning
• 28:44
  with
• 28:45
  stories
• 28:45
  about
• 28:46
  how
• 28:46
  hypnosis
• 28:47
  isn't
• 28:47
  real.
• 28:48
  And
• 28:48
  all
• 28:48
  of
• 28:48
  this
• 28:48
  stuff,
• 28:49
  it's
• 28:49
  all
• 28:49
  nonsense
• 28:50
  in
• 28:51
  that
• 28:51
  in
• 28:52
  the
• 28:52
  hands
• 28:52
  of
• 28:52
  a
• 28:53
  capable
• 28:53
  professional
• 28:54
  like
• 28:54
  Don
• 28:54
  Klein,
• 28:55
  it
• 28:56
  is
• 28:56
  a
• 28:56
  very
• 28:57
  useful
• 28:58
  tool
• 28:59
  in
• 28:59
  excavating
• 29:00
  lost
• 29:01
  memories.
• 29:02
  And.
• 29:03
  And
• 29:03
  that's
• 29:03
  why
• 29:04
  the
• 29:04
  CIA
• 29:04
  uses
• 29:05
  it.
• 29:05
  And
• 29:06
  half
• 29:06
  the.

  that
• 29:36
  human
• 29:36

• 29:36
  have

  this
• 29:40
  is
• 29:40
  very
• 29:41
  threatening.
• 29:42
  It
• 29:42
  is
• 29:43
  called

  ontological

• 29:44
  The

• 29:49
  That's

  a

  tremendous

  shock.
• 29:51
  And
• 29:51
  especially
• 29:52
  people
• 29:53
  who

  now

• 30:13

  a

• 30:14
  comes

• 30:17
  it

  it
• 30:18
  has

  scientific
• 30:19

• 30:20
  that
• 30:20
  make
• 30:20
  no
• 30:21

• 30:22
  Things
• 30:22
  that,
• 30:23
  as
• 30:23
  you

  Move
• 30:29
  the
• 30:30
  movie
• 30:30

• 30:30
  fiction.
• 30:32
  And
• 30:32
  of
• 30:32
  course
• 30:33
  they're
• 30:33
  going
• 30:33
  to
• 30:33
  resist
• 30:34
  that.
• 30:35
  And
• 30:36
  you
• 30:36
  take
• 30:36
  academics,
• 30:38
  they
• 30:38
  have
• 30:38
  a
• 30:39
  specific
• 30:39
  worldview
• 30:40
  and
• 30:42
  philosophers

  and

  intellectuals.

  thousand
• 30:51
  year
• 30:51
  long
• 30:52

• 30:53
  religious
• 30:54
  dictatorship
• 30:56
  until
• 30:56
  finally
• 30:57
  we
• 30:57
  reach
• 30:57
  the
• 30:57
  Enlightenment.
• 30:59
  And
• 30:59
  the
• 30:59
  power
• 31:00
  of
• 31:00
  the
• 31:00
  church
• 31:01
  was
• 31:01
  at
• 31:01
  last
• 31:02
  broken.
• 31:03
  After
• 31:04
  thousands
• 31:05
  of
• 31:06
  intellectuals
• 31:07
  and
• 31:07
  free
• 31:08
  thinkers
• 31:08
  and
• 31:09
  explorers
• 31:10
  of
• 31:10
  science
• 31:11
  had
• 31:11
  been
• 31:12
  imprisoned,
• 31:14
  their
• 31:14
  careers
• 31:15
  destroyed,
• 31:15
  many
• 31:16
  of
• 31:16
  them
• 31:16
  burned
• 31:16
  at
• 31:17
  the
• 31:17
  stake.
• 31:18
  That's
• 31:18
  right.
• 31:19
  Of
• 31:19
  course
• 31:19
  there's
• 31:19
  resistance
• 31:20
  to
• 31:21
  anything
• 31:22
  that
• 31:22
  suggests
• 31:23
  that
• 31:24
  this
• 31:25
  achievement,
• 31:26
  this
• 31:26
  revolution
• 31:27
  that
• 31:28
  freed
• 31:28
  the
• 31:29
  human
• 31:29
  mind
• 31:29
  to
• 31:30
  think
• 31:30
  at
• 31:30
  last,
• 31:32
  is
• 31:33
  somehow
• 31:33
  flawed.
• 31:34
  I
• 31:35
  understood
• 31:35
  it
• 31:35
  perfectly
• 31:36
  well.
• 31:36
  You
• 31:36
  certainly
• 31:37
  did
• 31:37
  offer
• 31:37
  a
• 31:38
  challenge
• 31:38
  to
• 31:38
  consensus
• 31:39
  reality.
• 31:40
  I'm
• 31:40
  going
• 31:40
  to
• 31:40
  read
• 31:40
  just
• 31:40
  a
• 31:41
  quick
• 31:41
  paragraph
• 31:42
  from
• 31:42
  your
• 31:42
  book
• 31:42
  about
• 31:43
  your
• 31:43
  initial
• 31:44
  experience
• 31:44
  at
• 31:44
  the
• 31:44
  cabin.
• 31:46
  You
• 31:46
  said
• 31:46
  that
• 31:47
  you
• 31:47
  were
• 31:47
  lifted
• 31:48
  like
• 31:48
  an
• 31:48
  elevator
• 31:49
  above
• 31:49
  the
• 31:50
  the
• 31:50
  house
• 31:50
  above
• 31:50
  the
• 31:50
  trees.
• 31:51
  And
• 31:51
  you
• 31:51
  entered
• 31:52
  a
• 31:52
  space
• 31:52
  that
• 31:52
  you
• 31:52
  said
• 31:53
  smelled
• 31:53
  like
• 31:53
  warm
• 31:54
  cheddar
• 31:54
  cheese
• 31:54
  and
• 31:54
  a
• 31:55
  hint
• 31:55
  of
• 31:55
  sulfur
• 31:55
  odor,
• 31:56
  which
• 31:56
  has
• 31:57
  been
• 31:57
  reported
• 31:57
  by
• 31:57
  other
• 31:58
  witnesses.
• 31:59
  It
• 31:59
  appears
• 31:59
  as
• 31:59
  though
• 32:00
  where
• 32:00
  you
• 32:00
  were
• 32:01
  was
• 32:01
  in
• 32:01
  some
• 32:02
  kind
• 32:02
  of
• 32:02
  an
• 32:02
  examination
• 32:03
  room.
• 32:04
  And
• 32:04
  that
• 32:04
  you
• 32:04
  wrote
• 32:05
  that
• 32:05
  there
• 32:05
  was
• 32:06
  the
• 32:06
  most
• 32:06
  astonishing
• 32:07
  being
• 32:08
  I'd
• 32:08
  ever
• 32:08
  seen
• 32:08
  in
• 32:09
  my
• 32:09
  life.
• 32:09
  Made
• 32:10
  more
• 32:10
  astonishing
• 32:10
  by
• 32:11
  the
• 32:11
  fact
• 32:11
  that
• 32:11
  I
• 32:11
  knew
• 32:12
  her.
• 32:12
  I
• 32:13
  say
• 32:13
  her,
• 32:14
  but
• 32:14
  I
• 32:14
  don't
• 32:14
  know
• 32:14
  why
• 32:16
  this
• 32:16
  is
• 32:16
  a
• 32:16
  woman.
• 32:16
  Perhaps
• 32:17
  because
• 32:17
  of
• 32:17
  her
• 32:17
  movements
• 32:18
  are
• 32:18
  so
• 32:18
  graceful.
• 32:19
  Perhaps
• 32:19
  because
• 32:19
  she
• 32:20
  has
• 32:20
  created
• 32:20
  a
• 32:20
  stage
• 32:21
  of
• 32:21
  sexual
• 32:21
  arousal
• 32:22
  in
• 32:22
  me.
• 32:23
  Or
• 32:23
  maybe
• 32:24
  it
• 32:24
  is
• 32:24
  simply
• 32:24
  the
• 32:24
  memory
• 32:25
  of
• 32:25
  her
• 32:25
  hand
• 32:26
  touching
• 32:26
  the
• 32:26
  side
• 32:26
  of
• 32:26
  my
• 32:27
  chest
• 32:27
  one
• 32:28
  time,
• 32:28
  so
• 32:28
  slightly
• 32:29
  and
• 32:29
  yet
• 32:29
  with
• 32:29
  such
• 32:30
  firmness.
• 32:32
  You
• 32:32
  describe
• 32:33
  some
• 32:33
  of
• 32:33
  these
• 32:33
  visitors
• 32:34
  as
• 32:34
  being
• 32:34
  non
• 32:35
  human,
• 32:36
  with
• 32:36
  a
• 32:36
  strange
• 32:37
  complexion
• 32:38
  that
• 32:38
  resembled
• 32:39
  leather.
• 32:40
  And
• 32:40
  then
• 32:41
  I'll
• 32:41
  finish
• 32:41
  with
• 32:41
  this
• 32:42
  on
• 32:42
  this
• 32:42
  visitor,
• 32:43
  the
• 32:43
  one
• 32:43
  you
• 32:44
  referred
• 32:44
  to
• 32:44
  as
• 32:44
  a
• 32:44
  her.
• 32:46
  She
• 32:46
  had
• 32:46
  these
• 32:46
  amazing,
• 32:47
  electrifying
• 32:48
  eyes,
• 32:48
  the
• 32:48
  huge
• 32:49
  staring
• 32:49
  eyes
• 32:49
  of
• 32:50
  the
• 32:50
  old
• 32:50
  gods.
• 32:51
  They
• 32:51
  were
• 32:51
  featureless
• 32:52
  in
• 32:52
  the
• 32:52
  sense
• 32:52
  that
• 32:53
  I
• 32:53
  couldn't
• 32:53
  see
• 32:53
  a
• 32:54
  pupil
• 32:54
  or
• 32:54
  iris.
• 32:55
  She
• 32:55
  was
• 32:56
  seated
• 32:56
  across
• 32:56
  from
• 32:56
  me,
• 32:57
  her
• 32:57
  legs
• 32:57
  drawn
• 32:58
  up
• 32:58
  to
• 32:58
  her
• 32:58
  hands
• 32:58
  on
• 32:59
  her
• 32:59
  knees.
• 33:00
  Her
• 33:00
  hands
• 33:00
  were
• 33:01
  wide
• 33:01
  when
• 33:01
  placed
• 33:02
  flat,
• 33:02
  narrow
• 33:02
  and
• 33:02
  long
• 33:03
  when
• 33:03
  dangling
• 33:03
  at
• 33:04
  her
• 33:04
  side.
• 33:04
  There
• 33:04
  was
• 33:05
  a
• 33:05
  structure
• 33:06
  perhaps
• 33:06
  of
• 33:06
  bones
• 33:07
  faintly
• 33:07
  visible
• 33:08
  under
• 33:08
  the
• 33:08
  skin.
• 33:09
  And
• 33:09
  yet
• 33:09
  other
• 33:09
  parts
• 33:10
  of
• 33:10
  her
• 33:10
  body
• 33:10
  seemed
• 33:11
  almost
• 33:11
  like
• 33:11
  an
• 33:11
  exoskeleton,
• 33:12
  like
• 33:12
  an
• 33:13
  insect.
• 33:14
  I
• 33:14
  thought
• 33:15
  I
• 33:15
  might
• 33:15
  love
• 33:15
  this
• 33:16
  being
• 33:16
  almost
• 33:16
  as
• 33:17
  much
• 33:17
  as
• 33:17
  I
• 33:17
  love
• 33:17
  my
• 33:18
  own
• 33:18
  anima.
• 33:19
  I
• 33:19
  bore
• 33:20
  toward
• 33:20
  her
• 33:20
  the
• 33:21
  same
• 33:21
  feelings
• 33:21
  of
• 33:21
  terror
• 33:22
  and
• 33:22
  fascination
• 33:22
  I
• 33:23
  might
• 33:23
  towards
• 33:23
  someone
• 33:24
  I
• 33:24
  saw
• 33:24
  staring
• 33:25
  back
• 33:25
  at
• 33:25
  me
• 33:25
  from
• 33:26
  the
• 33:26
  depths
• 33:26
  of
• 33:26
  my
• 33:27
  unconscious.
• 33:29
  That's
• 33:29
  a
• 33:30
  tall
• 33:30
  glass
• 33:31
  of
• 33:32
  awareness.
• 33:34
  She
• 33:34
  and
• 33:34
  Ann,
• 33:35
  who
• 33:35
  were
• 33:36
  allies,
• 33:36
  are
• 33:36
  back
• 33:37
  there
• 33:37
  behind
• 33:37
  me
• 33:38
  right
• 33:38
  now.
• 33:39
  And
• 33:40
  there's
• 33:40
  a
• 33:40
  picture
• 33:40
  of
• 33:41
  her
• 33:41
  without
• 33:41
  the
• 33:41
  eyeglasses
• 33:42
  on
• 33:43
  her
• 33:43
  face
• 33:43
  on
• 33:44
  the
• 33:44
  COVID
• 33:44
  of
• 33:45
  the
• 33:45
  book
• 33:46
  there
• 33:46
  of
• 33:46
  the
• 33:47
  Fourth
• 33:47
  Mind,
• 33:47
  the
• 33:48
  latest
• 33:48
  book.
• 33:49
  And
• 33:49
  I
• 33:49
  still
• 33:50
  love
• 33:50
  her
• 33:50
  very
• 33:50
  much.
• 33:51
  Now,
• 33:51
  what
• 33:51
  do
• 33:51
  you.
• 33:51
  When
• 33:51
  you
• 33:52
  say
• 33:52
  you
• 33:52
  felt
• 33:52
  a
• 33:52
  love
• 33:53
  for
• 33:53
  this
• 33:53
  being
• 33:54
  that
• 33:54
  abducted
• 33:55
  you
• 33:55
  essentially,
• 33:56
  or
• 33:56
  do
• 33:57
  you
• 33:57
  feel
• 33:57
  that's
• 33:57
  what
• 33:58
  happened?
• 33:58
  It's
• 33:59
  a
• 33:59
  very
• 33:59
  complex
• 33:59
  relationship,
• 34:02
  and
• 34:02
  I
• 34:02
  don't
• 34:02
  know
• 34:03
  if
• 34:03
  it's
• 34:03
  a
• 34:03
  single
• 34:04
  being.
• 34:04
  It's
• 34:04
  a.
• 34:05
  I
• 34:05
  don't.
• 34:05
  In
• 34:05
  other
• 34:05
  words,
• 34:06
  I
• 34:06
  don't
• 34:06
  know
• 34:06
  if
• 34:06
  it's
• 34:06
  the
• 34:06
  same
• 34:07
  single
• 34:08
  person
• 34:08
  because
• 34:08
  they
• 34:09
  don't
• 34:09
  operate
• 34:09
  like
• 34:09
  that.
• 34:10
  They
• 34:10
  have
• 34:10
  separate
• 34:11
  personalities,
• 34:12
  but
• 34:12
  a
• 34:12
  group
• 34:13
  mind.
• 34:13
  And
• 34:13
  I
• 34:13
  always
• 34:14
  hated
• 34:14
  when
• 34:14
  these
• 34:14
  stupid
• 34:15
  morons
• 34:15
  say
• 34:16
  hive
• 34:16
  mind.
• 34:17
  It's
• 34:17
  not
• 34:18
  a
• 34:18
  hive
• 34:18
  mind.
• 34:19
  It's
• 34:19
  a
• 34:20
  very
• 34:20
  complex,
• 34:22
  very
• 34:23
  multifaceted
• 34:24
  mind
• 34:25
  that
• 34:25
  is
• 34:25
  projected
• 34:26
  into
• 34:27
  probably
• 34:27
  millions
• 34:28
  of
• 34:28
  different
• 34:28
  personalities.
• 34:29
  But
• 34:30
  they're
• 34:30
  all
• 34:30
  linked
• 34:31
  by
• 34:31
  that
• 34:32
  same
• 34:32
  set
• 34:33
  of
• 34:33
  intellectual
• 34:34
  resources,
• 34:35
  but
• 34:36
  not
• 34:36
  the
• 34:36
  same
• 34:37
  emotional
• 34:37
  state
• 34:38
  resources
• 34:38
  at
• 34:39
  all.
• 34:39
  Those
• 34:39
  are
• 34:39
  all
• 34:39
  individual.
• 34:40
  You
• 34:40
  wrote
• 34:41
  as
• 34:41
  a
• 34:41
  group
• 34:41
  that
• 34:41
  they
• 34:41
  were.
• 34:42
  You
• 34:42
  found
• 34:42
  them
• 34:42
  to
• 34:42
  be
• 34:43
  formidable.
• 34:43
  But
• 34:43
  individually,
• 34:44
  not
• 34:45
  so
• 34:45
  much.
• 34:46
  No,
• 34:47
  they're
• 34:47
  very
• 34:47
  fragile.
• 34:48
  And
• 34:48
  they
• 34:49
  know
• 34:49
  it
• 34:49
  too.
• 34:50
  They're
• 34:50
  very
• 34:50
  well
• 34:50
  aware
• 34:51
  of
• 34:51
  that.
• 34:51
  They're
• 34:52
  very
• 34:52
  fragile
• 34:53
  compared
• 34:53
  to
• 34:53
  us.
• 34:53
  We're
• 34:54
  great
• 34:54
  big
• 34:54
  pieces
• 34:54
  of
• 34:55
  meat.
• 34:55
  And
• 34:55
  they're
• 34:56
  like
• 34:56
  more
• 34:56
  like
• 34:57
  buggish
• 34:58
  kind
• 34:59
  of
• 34:59
  things,
• 34:59
  especially
• 34:59
  the
• 35:00
  little
• 35:00
  short
• 35:01
  ones,
• 35:01
  which
• 35:02
  are
• 35:02
  biomechanical.
• 35:03
  They're
• 35:04
  biological.
• 35:05
  They
• 35:06
  have
• 35:06
  big
• 35:06
  complex
• 35:06
  brains
• 35:07
  and
• 35:08
  fully
• 35:08
  of
• 35:09
  developed
• 35:09
  personalities.
• 35:10
  But
• 35:10
  they
• 35:11
  do
• 35:11
  not
• 35:11
  have
• 35:12
  their
• 35:12
  part.
• 35:13
  It's
• 35:13
  too
• 35:13
  complicated
• 35:14
  to
• 35:14
  explain.
• 35:15
  But
• 35:15
  they're
• 35:15
  partly
• 35:17
  mechanical
• 35:17
  and
• 35:18
  partly
• 35:18
  biological.
• 35:19
  And
• 35:19
  they're
• 35:19
  very
• 35:19
  durable.
• 35:20
  And
• 35:20
  they
• 35:21
  are
• 35:21
  designed,
• 35:22
  purpose
• 35:22
  built
• 35:23
  to
• 35:24
  control
• 35:24
  people
• 35:24
  like
• 35:25
  us
• 35:25
  and
• 35:26
  maybe
• 35:26
  other
• 35:27
  planets
• 35:27
  too,
• 35:27
  I
• 35:27
  don't
• 35:28
  know.
• 35:28
  But
• 35:28
  they
• 35:29
  are.
• 35:29
  They
• 35:29
  have
• 35:29
  all
• 35:30
  of
• 35:30
  the
• 35:30
  capabilities
• 35:32
  necessary
• 35:32
  to
• 35:33
  keep
• 35:33
  us
• 35:33
  under
• 35:33
  control.
• 35:34
  As
• 35:35
  long
• 35:35
  as
• 35:35
  they
• 35:35
  don't
• 35:35
  get
• 35:36
  within
• 35:37
  range
• 35:37
  of
• 35:38
  the
• 35:38
  fist
• 35:39
  you
• 35:40
  hit
• 35:40
  them,
• 35:40
  they're
• 35:40
  gonna
• 35:40
  just
• 35:41
  fall
• 35:41
  apart.
• 35:42
  So
• 35:42
  what
• 35:43
  is
• 35:43
  their
• 35:43
  intention,
• 35:44
  in
• 35:45
  your
• 35:45
  opinion
• 35:45
  or
• 35:46
  in
• 35:46
  your
• 35:46
  knowledge?
• 35:47
  Is
• 35:48
  it
• 35:48
  dominance?
• 35:50
  No.
• 35:50
  If
• 35:51
  it
• 35:51
  was
• 35:51
  dominance,
• 35:51
  we'd
• 35:52
  already
• 35:52
  be
• 35:52
  dominated.
• 35:53
  Correct.
• 35:54
  Although
• 35:54
  I
• 35:54
  went
• 35:54
  through.
• 35:55
  When
• 35:56
  I
• 35:56
  first
• 35:56
  had
• 35:57
  became
• 35:58
  aware
• 35:58
  of
• 35:58
  my
• 35:58
  relationship
• 35:59
  with
• 35:59
  her,
• 36:00
  I
• 36:00
  had.
• 36:01
  I
• 36:01
  got
• 36:01
  into
• 36:01
  this
• 36:02
  weird,
• 36:03
  kind
• 36:03
  of
• 36:04
  masochistic
• 36:06
  sexual
• 36:07
  dominatrix
• 36:08
  space
• 36:08
  that
• 36:09
  I
• 36:09
  didn't
• 36:09
  even
• 36:09
  know
• 36:09
  existed
• 36:10
  in
• 36:11
  me.
• 36:11
  And
• 36:12
  I
• 36:12
  wrote
• 36:12
  this
• 36:12
  short
• 36:13
  story
• 36:13
  called
• 36:13
  Pain.
• 36:15
  This
• 36:15
  is.
• 36:15
  Right,
• 36:15
  but
• 36:15
  this
• 36:16
  is.
• 36:16
  But
• 36:16
  while
• 36:16
  I
• 36:16
  was
• 36:17
  actually
• 36:17
  beginning
• 36:18
  to
• 36:18
  remember
• 36:18
  the
• 36:19
  experience,
• 36:20
  and
• 36:20
  in
• 36:20
  the
• 36:20
  middle
• 36:20
  of
• 36:21
  the
• 36:21
  short
• 36:21
  story,
• 36:21
  for
• 36:22
  the
• 36:22
  first
• 36:22
  time
• 36:22
  in
• 36:22
  my
• 36:22
  entire
• 36:23
  writing
• 36:23
  career,
• 36:23
  UFO
• 36:25
  memes
• 36:26
  start
• 36:26
  to
• 36:27
  appear.
• 36:27
  Anne
• 36:28
  read
• 36:28
  the
• 36:28
  short
• 36:29
  story,
• 36:29
  and
• 36:29
  she
• 36:29
  says,
• 36:30
  this
• 36:30
  looks
• 36:31
  like
• 36:31
  you've
• 36:31
  decided
• 36:32
  that
• 36:32
  you
• 36:32
  want
• 36:32
  to
• 36:33
  be
• 36:33
  whipped.
• 36:34
  I
• 36:34
  said,
• 36:34
  what
• 36:34
  do
• 36:35
  you
• 36:35
  mean?
• 36:35
  She
• 36:36
  said,
• 36:36
  the
• 36:36
  guy
• 36:36
  that
• 36:37
  gets
• 36:37
  his
• 36:37
  ass
• 36:38
  whipped.
• 36:38
  Right?
• 36:39
  And
• 36:39
  I
• 36:39
  said,
• 36:39
  I
• 36:39
  don't
• 36:40
  have
• 36:40
  any
• 36:40
  intention
• 36:40
  of
• 36:40
  getting
• 36:40
  my
• 36:41
  ass
• 36:41
  whipped.
• 36:41
  She
• 36:42
  said,
• 36:42
  sure
• 36:42
  you
• 36:42
  do.
• 36:43
  It's
• 36:43
  all
• 36:43
  through
• 36:44
  the
• 36:44
  story.
• 36:44
  Let's
• 36:44
  start
• 36:45
  right
• 36:45
  now.
• 36:45
  And
• 36:46
  I
• 36:46
  said,
• 36:46
  what
• 36:46
  do
• 36:46
  you
• 36:46
  mean,
• 36:48
  back
• 36:48
  off?
• 36:49
  But
• 36:50
  anyway,
• 36:51
  so
• 36:51
  that
• 36:51
  happened,
• 36:52
  too.
• 36:52
  And
• 36:52
  it
• 36:53
  was
• 36:53
  because
• 36:53
  I
• 36:53
  was
• 36:54
  dominated
• 36:55
  so
• 36:55
  completely
• 36:56
  by
• 36:57
  what
• 36:57
  seemed
• 36:57
  to
• 36:58
  me
• 36:58
  to
• 36:58
  be,
• 36:58
  and
• 36:59
  still
• 36:59
  does,
• 36:59
  a
• 36:59
  female
• 37:00
  presence.
• 37:01
  A
• 37:01
  very
• 37:01
  definite
• 37:01
  female
• 37:02
  presence.
• 37:02
  And
• 37:03
  she's
• 37:03
  still
• 37:04
  very
• 37:04
  much
• 37:04
  in
• 37:04
  my
• 37:04
  life.
• 37:05
  I'm
• 37:05
  working
• 37:05
  on
• 37:06
  a
• 37:06
  creative
• 37:06
  project
• 37:07
  with
• 37:07
  some
• 37:07
  people,
• 37:07
  and
• 37:08
  as
• 37:08
  happens
• 37:09
  quite
• 37:09
  often
• 37:09
  when
• 37:10
  I'm
• 37:10
  working
• 37:10
  on
• 37:10
  creative
• 37:11
  projects,
• 37:11
  the
• 37:11
  visitors
• 37:12
  will
• 37:12
  show
• 37:12
  up
• 37:12
  in
• 37:12
  their
• 37:12
  lives.
• 37:13
  And
• 37:14
  she
• 37:14
  was
• 37:15
  the.
• 37:15
  That
• 37:15
  being,
• 37:16
  or
• 37:16
  one
• 37:16
  like
• 37:17
  her
• 37:18
  was
• 37:18
  there
• 37:19
  just
• 37:19
  a
• 37:19
  few

• 37:21
  in
• 37:21
  the

  Hollywood
• 37:22
  Hills
• 37:22
  and
• 37:22
  scared
• 37:23
  the
• 37:23
  living
• 37:23
  daylights
• 37:24
  out
• 37:24
  of
• 37:24
  this
• 37:24
  poor
• 37:25
  lady.
• 37:25
  And,
• 37:26
  of
• 37:26
  course,
• 37:27
  she
• 37:27
  was
• 37:28
  not
• 37:28
  over.
• 37:28
  Yeah,
• 37:28
  it's
• 37:29
  okay.
• 37:29
  It's
• 37:29
  still
• 37:30
  very
• 37:30
  much
• 37:30
  a
• 37:30
  part
• 37:30
  of
• 37:30
  my
• 37:31
  life.
• 37:31
  Wow.
• 37:32
  Are
• 37:32
  these
• 37:32
  creatures
• 37:33
  eternal?
• 37:34
  Are
• 37:34
  they
• 37:35
  beyond
• 37:35
  our
• 37:35
  dimensional
• 37:36
  reality,
• 37:37
  time
• 37:38
  and
• 37:38
  space?
• 37:38
  No
• 37:38
  idea.
• 37:39
  I
• 37:39
  just
• 37:39
  have
• 37:40
  to
• 37:40
  talk
• 37:40
  about
• 37:41
  my
• 37:41
  own
• 37:41
  experience,
• 37:41
  which
• 37:42
  is
• 37:42
  a
• 37:42
  little
• 37:43
  different
• 37:43
  from
• 37:44
  yours,
• 37:44
  and
• 37:44
  I
• 37:44
  want
• 37:44
  to
• 37:45
  know
• 37:45
  if
• 37:45
  you've
• 37:45
  heard
• 37:45
  any
• 37:45
  other
• 37:45
  people
• 37:46
  who've
• 37:46
  had
• 37:46
  a
• 37:46
  similar
• 37:46
  experience.
• 37:47
  I
• 37:48
  had
• 37:48
  a
• 37:48
  friend
• 37:48
  named
• 37:48
  Sharon
• 37:50
  who
• 37:50
  was
• 37:50
  very
• 37:51
  psychic.
• 37:51
  She
• 37:52
  predicted
• 37:52
  the
• 37:52
  gangland
• 37:53
  shooting
• 37:54
  that
• 37:54
  me
• 37:54
  and
• 37:55
  Peter
• 37:55
  Bergman
• 37:55
  survived,
• 37:56
  which
• 37:57
  is
• 37:57
  described
• 37:57
  in
• 37:57
  my
• 37:58
  book
• 37:58
  Where's
• 37:59
  My
• 37:59
  Fortune
• 37:59
  Cookie?
• 38:00
  But
• 38:00
  I
• 38:01
  spent
• 38:01
  an
• 38:01
  evening
• 38:02
  with
• 38:02
  her
• 38:02
  in
• 38:03
  Austin,
• 38:03
  New
• 38:03
  York,
• 38:04
  at
• 38:04
  the
• 38:04
  home
• 38:04
  of
• 38:05
  Dr.
• 38:05
  Andrija
• 38:06
  Poharich.
• 38:07
  Does
• 38:07
  that
• 38:07
  name
• 38:07
  mean
• 38:08
  anything
• 38:08
  to
• 38:08
  you?
• 38:09
  Yeah,
• 38:09
  sure
• 38:09
  it
• 38:09
  does.
• 38:10
  All
• 38:10
  right.
• 38:11
  She
• 38:11
  was
• 38:11
  an
• 38:11
  assistant
• 38:12
  to
• 38:12
  Dr.
• 38:12
  Paharic
• 38:13
  and
• 38:14
  Uri
• 38:14
  Geller,
• 38:15
  who
• 38:15
  was
• 38:16
  ironically
• 38:16
  working
• 38:17
  with
• 38:17
  him.
• 38:18
  And
• 38:18
  they
• 38:18
  had
• 38:18
  contact,
• 38:19
  ostensibly
• 38:20
  with
• 38:20
  flying
• 38:21
  saucers
• 38:21
  in
• 38:21
  the
• 38:22
  Israeli
• 38:23
  desert.
• 38:24
  And
• 38:24
  she
• 38:25
  was
• 38:25
  channeling
• 38:27
  information
• 38:28
  about
• 38:28
  what
• 38:29
  they
• 38:29
  call
• 38:29
  post
• 38:29
  engineering.
• 38:31
  Anyway,
• 38:32
  she
• 38:32
  was
• 38:32
  channeling
• 38:33
  information
• 38:33
  from
• 38:34
  the
• 38:34
  aliens
• 38:35
  and
• 38:35
  would
• 38:35
  be
• 38:35
  flown
• 38:36
  around
• 38:36
  the
• 38:36
  country
• 38:36
  speaking
• 38:37
  to
• 38:37
  groups
• 38:37
  of
• 38:38
  scientists
• 38:38
  and
• 38:39
  the
• 38:39
  military.
• 38:40
  But
• 38:40
  what
• 38:40
  she
• 38:40
  told
• 38:41
  me
• 38:41
  was
• 38:42
  that
• 38:42
  the
• 38:42
  aliens
• 38:43
  liked
• 38:43
  what
• 38:44
  I
• 38:44
  was
• 38:44
  doing
• 38:44
  with
• 38:45
  my
• 38:45
  comedy
• 38:46
  because
• 38:46
  Proctor
• 38:47
  and
• 38:47
  Bergman,
• 38:47
  we
• 38:47
  portrayed
• 38:48
  aliens
• 38:49
  in
• 38:49
  our
• 38:50
  act
• 38:50
  for
• 38:50
  a
• 38:50
  certain
• 38:51
  period
• 38:51
  of
• 38:51
  time.
• 38:52
  And
• 38:53
  she
• 38:53
  said
• 38:54
  they
• 38:54
  liked
• 38:54
  the
• 38:54
  idea
• 38:55
  that
• 38:55
  you're
• 38:55
  making
• 38:56
  people
• 38:57
  accept
• 38:57
  their
• 38:58
  reality
• 38:58
  in
• 38:59
  a
• 38:59
  humorous
• 38:59
  way.
• 39:00
  And
• 39:01
  the
• 39:01
  sign
• 39:02
  that
• 39:03
  will
• 39:03
  show
• 39:03
  that
• 39:03
  they
• 39:04
  are
• 39:05
  interested
• 39:05
  and
• 39:05
  that
• 39:06
  they
• 39:06
  support
• 39:06
  you
• 39:07
  is
• 39:07
  lights
• 39:08
  going
• 39:08
  on
• 39:09
  and
• 39:09
  off
• 39:09
  around
• 39:10
  you.
• 39:11
  And
• 39:11
  Whitley,
• 39:12
  the
• 39:12
  stories
• 39:13
  I
• 39:13
  could
• 39:14
  tell
• 39:14
  you
• 39:14
  about
• 39:14
  that.
• 39:15
  Some
• 39:15
  of
• 39:15
  them
• 39:15
  are
• 39:15
  in
• 39:15
  the
• 39:15
  book.
• 39:16
  But
• 39:16
  even
• 39:17
  as
• 39:17
  of
• 39:18
  today,
• 39:18
  as
• 39:19
  we
• 39:20
  were
• 39:20
  driving
• 39:21
  here
• 39:21
  to
• 39:22
  Florida,
• 39:23
  lights
• 39:23
  went
• 39:23
  on
• 39:24
  the
• 39:24
  highway
• 39:24
  above
• 39:25
  me.
• 39:25
  And
• 39:26
  this
• 39:26
  has
• 39:26
  been
• 39:26
  going
• 39:27
  on,
• 39:27
  I
• 39:27
  can
• 39:27
  tell
• 39:27
  you,
• 39:28
  incredibly
• 39:30
  significant
• 39:31
  part
• 39:31
  of
• 39:32
  my
• 39:32
  life
• 39:32
  for
• 39:33
  love.
• 39:33
  Lights
• 39:33
  going
• 39:33
  on
• 39:34
  and
• 39:34
  all
• 39:34
  around
• 39:34
  me.
• 39:35
  Does
• 39:35
  anybody
• 39:36
  else
• 39:36
  had
• 39:36
  any
• 39:36
  phenomenon
• 39:37
  like
• 39:37
  that?
• 39:38
  Oh,
• 39:39
  yeah,
• 39:39
  they're
• 39:39
  known
• 39:39
  as
• 39:40
  street
• 39:40
  light
• 39:40
  people.
• 39:41
  They
• 39:41
  put
• 39:42
  out
• 39:42
  street
• 39:42
  lights
• 39:42
  and
• 39:43
  turn
• 39:43
  them
• 39:43
  on.
• 39:43
  I'm
• 39:43
  a
• 39:43
  street
• 39:44
  light
• 39:44
  person
• 39:44
  too.
• 39:45
  Okay.
• 39:46
  Yeah,
• 39:46
  it's.
• 39:47
  I.
• 39:48
  In
• 39:48
  fact,
• 39:49
  I
• 39:49
  had.
• 39:49
  So
• 39:50
  it
• 39:50
  was
• 39:51
  so
• 39:51
  extreme
• 39:52
  at
• 39:52
  one
• 39:52
  point
• 39:53
  that
• 39:53
  I
• 39:54
  actually
• 39:54
  called
• 39:54
  the
• 39:55
  Department
• 39:55
  of
• 39:56
  Streets,
• 39:57
  or
• 39:57
  whatever
• 39:57
  it
• 39:57
  was
• 39:57
  called
• 39:58
  in
• 39:58
  New
• 39:58
  York
• 39:58
  at
• 39:59
  the
• 39:59
  time
• 39:59
  to
• 40:00
  figure
• 40:00
  out
• 40:00
  why
• 40:00
  it
• 40:00
  would
• 40:01
  be
• 40:01
  that
• 40:01
  someone
• 40:01
  walked
• 40:02
  under
• 40:02
  a
• 40:02
  street
• 40:02
  light
• 40:03
  and
• 40:03
  it
• 40:03
  went
• 40:03
  off.
• 40:04
  Because
• 40:04
  it
• 40:04
  happened
• 40:05
  so
• 40:05
  much.
• 40:05
  It
• 40:05
  was
• 40:05
  just
• 40:05
  like
• 40:06
  a
• 40:06
  family
• 40:07
  joke.
• 40:08
  And
• 40:08
  the
• 40:08
  guy
• 40:09
  explained
• 40:09
  to
• 40:09
  me
• 40:09
  the
• 40:10
  lights
• 40:10
  are
• 40:10
  controlled
• 40:11
  by
• 40:11
  a
• 40:11
  mercury
• 40:12
  switch
• 40:12
  that's
• 40:13
  sensitive.
• 40:13
  That's
• 40:14
  on
• 40:14
  top
• 40:14
  of
• 40:14
  the.
• 40:15
  Of
• 40:15
  every
• 40:16
  bank
• 40:16
  of
• 40:16
  seven
• 40:17
  lights.
• 40:17
  I
• 40:17
  think
• 40:17
  he
• 40:18
  said,
• 40:18
  or
• 40:18
  maybe
• 40:18
  10.
• 40:19
  And
• 40:20
  it
• 40:20
  reacts
• 40:21
  to
• 40:21
  light
• 40:21
  from
• 40:22
  above.
• 40:23
  And
• 40:23
  I
• 40:23
  said,
• 40:24
  well,
• 40:25
  does
• 40:25
  it?
• 40:25
  What
• 40:26
  is
• 40:26
  the
• 40:26
  spectrum
• 40:27
  of
• 40:27
  the
• 40:27
  light?
• 40:28
  And
• 40:28
  he
• 40:28
  said,
• 40:28
  very
• 40:29
  broad.
• 40:30
  And
• 40:30
  I
• 40:30
  think
• 40:30
  that's.
• 40:31
  What's
• 40:31
  happening
• 40:31
  is
• 40:32
  there's
• 40:32
  something
• 40:32
  above
• 40:33
  you
• 40:34
  that
• 40:34
  is
• 40:34
  shining
• 40:35
  light
• 40:35
  down
• 40:37
  a
• 40:37
  light
• 40:38
  on
• 40:38
  a
• 40:38
  frequency
• 40:39
  that
• 40:39
  is
• 40:39
  not
• 40:39
  the
• 40:40
  human
• 40:40
  eye
• 40:40
  can't
• 40:40
  see,
• 40:41
  but
• 40:41
  those
• 40:41
  switches
• 40:42
  can.
• 40:43
  This
• 40:44
  would
• 40:44
  also
• 40:44
  happen
• 40:44
  to
• 40:44
  me
• 40:45
  in
• 40:45
  people's
• 40:45
  homes.
• 40:47
  Okay.
• 40:47
  Have
• 40:47
  you
• 40:47
  ever
• 40:48
  broken
• 40:48
  any
• 40:48
  electronic
• 40:49
  appliances?
• 40:50
  Not
• 40:50
  broken
• 40:51
  them,
• 40:51
  but
• 40:53
  I
• 40:53
  would
• 40:53
  be
• 40:53
  talking
• 40:54
  about
• 40:54
  it
• 40:55
  and
• 40:55
  it
• 40:55
  would
• 40:55
  happen.
• 40:56
  I
• 40:57
  was
• 40:57
  in
• 40:57
  my
• 40:57
  home.
• 40:57
  Some
• 40:58
  kind
• 40:58
  of
• 40:58
  an
• 40:58
  energy
• 40:58
  there.
• 40:59
  My
• 40:59
  wife
• 41:00
  used
• 41:00
  to
• 41:00
  call
• 41:00
  the
• 41:01
  blowing
• 41:01
  out
• 41:01
  of
• 41:02
  stereos
• 41:03
  and
• 41:03
  stuff,
• 41:03
  having
• 41:04
  an
• 41:05
  electroleptic
• 41:06
  fit.
• 41:07
  That's
• 41:07
  very
• 41:07
  good.
• 41:08
  That's
• 41:08
  very
• 41:08
  good.
• 41:09
  Because
• 41:10
  I'm
• 41:10
  not
• 41:11
  alone.
• 41:11
  A
• 41:11
  lot
• 41:11
  of
• 41:11
  people
• 41:12
  do
• 41:12
  this.
• 41:13
  You
• 41:13
  blow
• 41:14
  out
• 41:14
  computers
• 41:15
  and
• 41:15
  TVs,
• 41:15
  and
• 41:16
  this
• 41:16
  happens
• 41:16
  in
• 41:16
  this
• 41:16
  office
• 41:17
  all
• 41:17
  the
• 41:17
  time.
• 41:18
  Okay.
• 41:18
  Computer
• 41:19
  I'm
• 41:19
  on
• 41:20
  has
• 41:20
  been
• 41:20
  blown
• 41:20
  out
• 41:21
  numerous
• 41:21
  times.
• 41:21
  And
• 41:22
  there's
• 41:22
  always
• 41:22
  some
• 41:23
  kind
• 41:23
  of
• 41:24
  something.
• 41:24
  Yeah.
• 41:25
  So
• 41:25
  you're
• 41:25
  in
• 41:25
  a.
• 41:26
  Definitely
• 41:26
  a
• 41:26
  known
• 41:27
  space.
• 41:27
  Yeah.
• 41:28
  There's
• 41:28
  been
• 41:28
  this
• 41:29
  thing
• 41:29
  which
• 41:29
  still
• 41:30
  goes
• 41:30
  on,
• 41:31
  and
• 41:31
  I
• 41:31
  actually
• 41:31
  consider
• 41:32
  you
• 41:32
  my
• 41:32
  friend
• 41:33
  because
• 41:34
  of
• 41:34
  that.
• 41:35
  So
• 41:35
  we
• 41:36
  are
• 41:36
  united,
• 41:36
  my
• 41:37
  friend.
• 41:38
  One
• 41:38
  other
• 41:38
  question
• 41:38
  I
• 41:39
  have,
• 41:39
  though.
• 41:39
  Any
• 41:40
  implants.
• 41:41
  Have
• 41:41
  you
• 41:41
  found
• 41:41
  any
• 41:42
  implants
• 41:42
  in
• 41:42
  the
• 41:42
  same
• 41:42
  question
• 41:43
  goes
• 41:43
  to
• 41:43
  the
• 41:43
  Earth.
• 41:43
  I've
• 41:43
  got
• 41:43
  an
• 41:43
  implant
• 41:44
  in
• 41:44
  my
• 41:44
  left
• 41:44
  ear.
• 41:45
  I've
• 41:46
  written
• 41:46
  and
• 41:47
  talked
• 41:47
  about
• 41:47
  it
• 41:47
  a
• 41:48
  lot.
• 41:48
  It's
• 41:48
  been
• 41:48
  extensively
• 41:49
  studied.
• 41:50
  The
• 41:51
  video
• 41:51
  of
• 41:51
  the
• 41:52
  attempt
• 41:52
  to
• 41:52
  remove
• 41:53
  it
• 41:53
  is
• 41:53
  on
• 41:53
  my
• 41:54
  website.
• 41:55
  And
• 41:55
  there
• 41:56
  is
• 41:56
  also
• 41:56
  a
• 41:56
  CT
• 41:57
  scan
• 41:57
  of
• 41:58
  it.
• 41:58
  And.
• 41:59
  And
• 41:59
  there's
• 42:00
  been
• 42:00
  a
• 42:00
  brain
• 42:00
  scan
• 42:01
  done
• 42:01
  that
• 42:02
  is
• 42:02
  quite
• 42:03
  interesting
• 42:03
  as
• 42:03
  well.
• 42:04
  So,
• 42:04
  yeah,
• 42:04
  this
• 42:05
  has
• 42:05
  been
• 42:05
  studied
• 42:05
  extensively
• 42:06
  and
• 42:06
  I
• 42:06
  use
• 42:06
  it
• 42:07
  all
• 42:07
  the
• 42:07
  time.
• 42:08
  It's
• 42:08
  active.
• 42:09
  It's
• 42:09
  incredibly
• 42:10
  useful.
• 42:10
  It's
• 42:11
  the
• 42:11
  best
• 42:11
  research
• 42:12
  tool
• 42:12
  any
• 42:12
  human
• 42:13
  being
• 42:13
  could
• 42:13
  ever
• 42:13
  hope
• 42:13
  to
• 42:14
  have,
• 42:14
  and
• 42:15
  I
• 42:15
  love
• 42:15
  it.
• 42:16
  When
• 42:16
  Bernie
• 42:17
  and
• 42:17
  I
• 42:17
  first
• 42:18
  had
• 42:18
  our
• 42:18
  conversation
• 42:19
  about
• 42:19
  that
• 42:19
  night,
• 42:20
  I
• 42:20
  asked
• 42:20
  Bernie
• 42:22
  if
• 42:22
  he
• 42:22
  had
• 42:22
  any
• 42:23
  issues
• 42:23
  around
• 42:24
  his.
• 42:24
  Around
• 42:24
  his
• 42:24
  neck
• 42:25
  or
• 42:25
  around
• 42:25
  the
• 42:25
  back
• 42:25
  of
• 42:25
  his
• 42:26
  ear,
• 42:26
  like
• 42:26
  any
• 42:26
  kind
• 42:26
  of
• 42:27
  irritation.
• 42:28
  And
• 42:28
  Bernie,
• 42:29
  you
• 42:29
  said
• 42:29
  you
• 42:29
  did.
• 42:30
  Yeah,
• 42:30
  I
• 42:30
  recall
• 42:30
  that
• 42:31
  I
• 42:31
  did
• 42:32
  a
• 42:32
  little
• 42:32
  bump
• 42:32
  back
• 42:33
  there.
• 42:33
  Something
• 42:33
  like
• 42:33
  a
• 42:33
  little
• 42:33
  cyst
• 42:34
  or
• 42:34
  something.
• 42:34
  Yeah,
• 42:35
  it
• 42:35
  come
• 42:35
  up
• 42:36
  in
• 42:36
  my
• 42:36
  earlobe.
• 42:38
  Yeah.
• 42:39
  So
• 42:39
  it's
• 42:39
  very
• 42:39
  interesting
• 42:40
  because
• 42:41
  my
• 42:41
  doctor
• 42:41
  said
• 42:43
  I.
• 42:43
  I,
• 42:44
  Anne
• 42:44
  did
• 42:44
  not
• 42:44
  want
• 42:44
  me
• 42:45
  to
• 42:45
  have
• 42:45
  it
• 42:45
  taken
• 42:45
  out.
• 42:45
  I
• 42:46
  remember
• 42:46
  I
• 42:46
  was
• 42:46
  awake
• 42:46
  when
• 42:47
  it
• 42:47
  was
• 42:47
  put
• 42:47
  in.
• 42:47
  It
• 42:47
  was
• 42:48
  not
• 42:48
  put
• 42:48
  in
• 42:48
  by
• 42:48
  aliens.
• 42:49
  It
• 42:49
  was
• 42:49
  put
• 42:49
  in
• 42:49
  by
• 42:49
  two
• 42:50
  people.
• 42:50
  And
• 42:51
  I
• 42:51
  couldn't
• 42:52
  do
• 42:52
  anything
• 42:52
  about
• 42:52
  it.
• 42:52
  It
• 42:52
  couldn't
• 42:53
  stop
• 42:53
  them.
• 42:54
  But
• 42:54
  it's
• 42:54
  all.
• 42:55
  This
• 42:55
  is
• 42:56
  detailed
• 42:56
  in
• 42:57
  my
• 42:57
  book
• 42:57
  A
• 42:58
  New
• 42:58
  World,
• 42:58
  the
• 42:58
  Whole
• 42:59
  Story.
• 43:00
  And
• 43:00
  as
• 43:01
  I
• 43:01
  say,
• 43:01
  the
• 43:01
  video
• 43:01
  of
• 43:02
  the
• 43:02
  removal
• 43:02
  attempt
• 43:02
  is
• 43:03
  on
• 43:03
  my
• 43:03
  website.
• 43:04
  Roger
• 43:04
  Lear
• 43:05
  up
• 43:05
  in
• 43:05
  ventura
• 43:06
  studied
• 43:06
  that.
• 43:07
  Dr.
• 43:07
  Roger
• 43:07
  Lear
• 43:07
  and
• 43:08
  I.
• 43:08
  That's
• 43:08
  right.
• 43:08
  And
• 43:09
  I
• 43:09
  arranged
• 43:10
  for
• 43:10
  Dr.
• 43:10
  Lear
• 43:10
  to
• 43:11
  have
• 43:11
  many
• 43:12
  of
• 43:12
  his
• 43:12
  implants
• 43:13
  studied
• 43:13
  at
• 43:14
  Southwest
• 43:14
  Research
• 43:15
  in
• 43:15
  San
• 43:15
  Antonio,
• 43:16
  which
• 43:17
  was
• 43:17
  founded
• 43:17
  by
• 43:18
  a
• 43:18
  family
• 43:18
  friend.
• 43:19
  And.
• 43:20
  And
• 43:20
  he
• 43:20
  had
• 43:20
  them
• 43:20
  studied
• 43:21
  in
• 43:21
  other
• 43:21
  venues
• 43:22
  as
• 43:22
  well.
• 43:22
  He
• 43:22
  did
• 43:23
  real
• 43:23
  pioneering
• 43:24
  work.
• 43:25
  And
• 43:25
  too
• 43:26
  bad
• 43:26
  we
• 43:26
  lost
• 43:26
  him
• 43:27
  because
• 43:29
  someone's
• 43:30
  got
• 43:30
  to
• 43:30
  get
• 43:30
  back
• 43:30
  to
• 43:30
  that.
• 43:31
  I
• 43:31
  went
• 43:31
  up
• 43:31
  to
• 43:31
  his
• 43:31
  offices.
• 43:32
  He
• 43:32
  showed
• 43:32
  me
• 43:32
  a
• 43:32
  lot
• 43:32
  of
• 43:33
  very
• 43:33
  interesting
• 43:33
  material.
• 43:34
  Clearly
• 43:35
  was.
• 43:35
  Oh,
• 43:35
  it
• 43:35
  was
• 43:35
  extraordinary.
• 43:36
  Yeah,
• 43:36
  it
• 43:37
  really
• 43:37
  was.
• 43:38
  We
• 43:38
  only
• 43:38
  got
• 43:38
  three
• 43:39
  minutes
• 43:39
  left.
• 43:39
  I
• 43:39
  can't
• 43:40
  believe
• 43:40
  how
• 43:40
  quickly
• 43:40
  this
• 43:40
  went.
• 43:41
  I
• 43:41
  hope
• 43:41
  you
• 43:41
  guys
• 43:41
  can
• 43:42
  come
• 43:42
  back
• 43:42
  because.
• 43:42
  Hey,
• 43:43
  listen,
• 43:43
  I
• 43:43
  told
• 43:43
  you
• 43:44
  missing
• 43:44
  time,
• 43:45
  Right?
• 43:46
  We
• 43:47
  gotta
• 43:47
  talk
• 43:47
  about
• 43:47
  missing
• 43:48
  time
• 43:48
  because
• 43:49
  at
• 43:49
  some
• 43:49
  point.
• 43:49
  Point.
• 43:49
  Because
• 43:50
  maybe
• 43:51
  we
• 43:51
  can
• 43:51
  redo
• 43:51
  this
• 43:52
  again
• 43:52
  someday.
• 43:53
  Yeah.
• 43:53
  Can
• 43:54
  you
• 43:54
  tease
• 43:54
  us
• 43:54
  with
• 43:54
  a
• 43:54
  minute
• 43:55
  maybe
• 43:55
  of
• 43:55
  missing
• 43:56
  time?
• 43:56
  Yeah.
• 43:56
  Okay.
• 43:57
  Missing
• 43:58
  time
• 43:58
  is
• 43:59
  what
• 43:59
  happens
• 43:59
  is
• 44:00
  the
• 44:01
  part
• 44:01
  of
• 44:01
  the
• 44:01
  executive
• 44:02
  function
• 44:03
  of
• 44:03
  the
• 44:03
  brain
• 44:03
  known
• 44:03
  as
• 44:04
  the
• 44:04
  hippocampus
• 44:05
  takes
• 44:06
  in
• 44:06
  information
• 44:06
  and
• 44:07
  distributes
• 44:08
  it
• 44:08
  to
• 44:08
  the
• 44:09
  appropriate
• 44:10
  areas
• 44:10
  of
• 44:11
  memory
• 44:12
  and
• 44:13
  that
• 44:13
  can
• 44:13
  be
• 44:13
  turned
• 44:14
  off.
• 44:14
  They
• 44:14
  can
• 44:15
  turn
• 44:15
  the
• 44:15
  hippocampus
• 44:16
  off
• 44:16
  completely.
• 44:17
  That
• 44:17
  means
• 44:18
  the
• 44:19
  brain
• 44:20
  doesn't
• 44:21
  know
• 44:21
  where
• 44:22
  the
• 44:22
  memory
• 44:22
  has
• 44:22
  gone
• 44:23
  and
• 44:23
  can't
• 44:24
  access
• 44:24
  it
• 44:24
  again.
• 44:25
  And
• 44:25
  it's
• 44:26
  like
• 44:26
  nothing
• 44:26
  happened.
• 44:28
  Nothing
• 44:28
  happened.
• 44:30
  But
• 44:31
  a
• 44:31
  hypnotist
• 44:32
  who
• 44:32
  understands
• 44:33
  the
• 44:34
  brain
• 44:34
  deeply
• 44:35
  and
• 44:35
  has
• 44:36
  a
• 44:36
  background
• 44:37
  in
• 44:37
  urology
• 44:38
  knows
• 44:39
  how
• 44:39
  to
• 44:40
  access
• 44:40
  memories
• 44:42
  that
• 44:42
  are.
• 44:43
  That
• 44:43
  are
• 44:44
  where
• 44:44
  the
• 44:44
  pathway
• 44:45
  has
• 44:45
  been
• 44:46
  broken.
• 44:46
  That's
• 44:47
  what
• 44:47
  Dr.
• 44:47
  Klein
• 44:48
  could
• 44:48
  do.
• 44:48
  Wow.
• 44:49
  I
• 44:49
  saw
• 44:49
  an
• 44:49
  interview
• 44:49
  recently
• 44:50
  with
• 44:50
  Kurt
• 44:50
  Russell,
• 44:51
  and
• 44:52
  he
• 44:52
  was
• 44:52
  talking
• 44:52
  about.
• 44:52
  Because
• 44:53
  he
• 44:53
  was
• 44:53
  the
• 44:53
  pilot
• 44:53
  who
• 44:54
  actually
• 44:54
  reported
• 44:55
  the.
• 44:55
  The
• 44:56
  Phoenix
• 44:56
  Lights.
• 44:57
  And
• 44:57
  he
• 44:57
  said
• 44:58
  once
• 44:58
  he
• 44:58
  did
• 44:58
  it,
• 44:58
  he
• 44:59
  completely
• 44:59
  forgot
• 45:00
  about
• 45:00
  it
• 45:00
  for
• 45:00
  years
