- 0:00Speaker 1: You're hungry for life man, Like you said the other
- 0:02Speaker 1: day that your biggest fear is to your biggest and
- 0:05Speaker 1: only fear is to not live up.
- 0:07Speaker 2: To It's absolutely right. Your phenology help to my God
- 0:09Speaker 2: given potential to not get everything out of life that
- 0:13Speaker 2: is here for me, that God, that God put me
- 0:15Speaker 2: on the earth to do. And whether or not you
- 0:17Speaker 2: believe in God, everybody has a capacity right and to
- 0:20Speaker 2: miss your capacity, I think is just like the biggest
- 0:22Speaker 2: failure in life.
- 0:26Speaker 3: That's impossible. Let me tell you what I believe.
- 0:28Speaker 2: What your weakness is not your technique.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Ya don't think you.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Know the Impossible Life Podcast.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Man, You're sitting on a winning ladder, protective an idea
- 0:43Speaker 2: that is fully formed, fully understood, that sticks. All right.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Here we go, episode number one of the Impossible Life Podcast.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Welcome to the Impossible Life Podcast, where we say, or
- 0:57Speaker 1: at least I say, think better.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And live the imposs That's what we're trying to do.
- 1:01Speaker 3: That is what we're trying to do.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So I'm here with Garrett Uncle back. My name is
- 1:05Speaker 1: Nick Surfus, I'm your co host, and we are here
- 1:09Speaker 1: because we recognize in ourselves as well as in the
- 1:15Speaker 1: many people that we've crossed paths with paths with a
- 1:18Speaker 1: desire and a want to live a more full life,
- 1:22Speaker 1: to be all that we can be. For lack of
- 1:24Speaker 1: a better I know that's probably offensive to you, as
- 1:26Speaker 1: an X Navy seal to use an army.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'd say, we want to attract and we want the
- 1:31Speaker 2: people listening who want to live a better life. But
- 1:33Speaker 2: I think there's also just that small opportunity to maybe
- 1:36Speaker 2: encourage people that there's more life out there than what
- 1:38Speaker 2: they have. The most disappointing thing to me is when
- 1:42Speaker 2: I see people that they're really just living a fraction
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the life that they should be living. And whenever
- 1:47Speaker 2: I get the opportunity to to just open somebody, open
- 1:50Speaker 2: a door for somebody, open someone's mind, or or just
- 1:53Speaker 2: take the scales from someone's eyes to see their life
- 1:56Speaker 2: or see this world in a different way where if
- 1:58Speaker 2: they could just make a small shift and their life
- 2:00Speaker 2: would increase dramatically. I want to do that every time
- 2:03Speaker 2: that I can, and hopefully this podcast is an opportunity
- 2:06Speaker 2: and a platform for us to do that, to make
- 2:08Speaker 2: small shifts for people that enlarge their world dramatically. Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh, I think that touches on it exactly, And that's
- 2:14Speaker 1: exactly what we're trying to do, is to shift forward
- 2:17Speaker 1: and to achieve things that are actually possible, but in
- 2:20Speaker 1: our minds, or in people's minds, we might be telling
- 2:22Speaker 1: ourselves that they're impossible. So I guess the obvious question
- 2:26Speaker 1: is what qualifies us to think that we can sit
- 2:27Speaker 1: here and do that. So I'm going to talk about
- 2:30Speaker 1: you because it's a lot easier time.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I've never been big on qualifications. Most titles are worth
- 2:34Speaker 2: about as much as the paper they're printed on.
- 2:36Speaker 3: But go ahead, Well, there goes everything I had to say.
- 2:39Speaker 2: But hey, not everyone feels the same way as me.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Some people appreciate titles, so go for it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: No, I know I've got a bunch of letters after
- 2:45Speaker 1: my name, so I hope you respect me more now
- 2:47Speaker 1: I don't actually have any letters after my name.
- 2:49Speaker 3: But anyways, all right, so who are you?
- 2:51Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go ahead and do your bio to
- 2:53Speaker 1: save you having to brag about yourself because I know
- 2:56Speaker 1: how uncomfortable you get doing that, which is fun for
- 2:58Speaker 1: me but not so much for you. But yeah, so, Garrett,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you are obviously an ex navy seal. I think that's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the first thing people respond to. Six years in their
- 3:06Speaker 1: youngest ever team leader for Sealed Team three, A lot
- 3:09Speaker 1: of studs came out of that team. That in itself
- 3:11Speaker 1: would be a great place to just stop for a
- 3:13Speaker 1: lot of people and put their feet up and say,
- 3:14Speaker 1: look what I accomplished. But since leaving the Seals, you
- 3:17Speaker 1: are now a real estate developer. You're also a venture capitalist.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You and a team of X Navy Seals provide teams,
- 3:24Speaker 1: leadership and culture for a venture capitalists. You're also a
- 3:28Speaker 1: coach personally and in business. You lead the men's group
- 3:31Speaker 1: at our amazing church, Elevate Life, and that's just what
- 3:34Speaker 1: you do. On top of that, you would describe yourself
- 3:37Speaker 1: from what I've heard, you give probably the best ever
- 3:39Speaker 1: thirty second elevator pitch I've ever heard anyone give, and
- 3:41Speaker 1: you immediately forgot it. Honestly, it was impressive when you
- 3:44Speaker 1: gave it, and then I've heard you give it since
- 3:48Speaker 1: and it was no offense, not even close to being
- 3:50Speaker 1: as good as the one you gave that mastermind. But yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you describe yourself as an odds to fire and I
- 3:55Speaker 1: think you just that list of things that I listed
- 3:57Speaker 1: that you've accomplished would speak to that. You're also a
- 4:00Speaker 1: son to an awesome, awesome family, awesome parents, your father,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you're a husband, you know, and so many other things.
- 4:09Speaker 1: So I think just that list right there is pretty accomplished.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Oh thank you.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I would go further than that, though, to say that
- 4:16Speaker 1: the reason I feel that you're in a position to
- 4:18Speaker 1: give a lot of advice and I, as a person
- 4:20Speaker 1: who's along on the ride with you, am hopefully able
- 4:22Speaker 1: to pull that out of you is I think it's
- 4:25Speaker 1: rare to see you as somebody who's genuinely happy and fulfilled,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and while you're not content to settle where you're at,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you are a guy who has lived more life at
- 4:34Speaker 1: the age of thirty than most people accomplish in two
- 4:36Speaker 1: or three lifetimes. And I would also say that on
- 4:40Speaker 1: that list of accomplishments, obviously the Navy Seal is a.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Huge one for most people.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And I think the thing that's amazing to me is
- 4:46Speaker 1: having been around you quite a bit. I've never seen
- 4:49Speaker 1: you ever once lord any sort of look how tough
- 4:53Speaker 1: I am over anybody.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Or try That comes from having other people that are
- 4:59Speaker 2: much tougher than me around me. When you've been beat
- 5:02Speaker 2: up before, you don't feel like you need to beat
- 5:04Speaker 2: up other people. So some of that, I would never
- 5:07Speaker 2: describe myself as humble the most humble. What I would
- 5:10Speaker 2: say the most humble will ever be is describe myself
- 5:12Speaker 2: as somebody who's not humble. It's kind of strange to
- 5:14Speaker 2: go around and call yourself humble. I get that, but
- 5:16Speaker 2: I would tell you I've been humbled very many times,
- 5:20Speaker 2: and the Seal Teams was a humbling experience for me.
- 5:23Speaker 2: There's plenty of guys who are way tougher and way
- 5:25Speaker 2: better than me. So whenever I think about, oh, I
- 5:28Speaker 2: could totally flex on this guy, I know there's a
- 5:30Speaker 2: lot of people who can flex on me, so it's
- 5:32Speaker 2: not important.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's funny for me to hear, But you
- 5:35Speaker 1: got to understand that for pretty much everyone that you
- 5:37Speaker 1: and I collective, well I shouldn't say you and I,
- 5:39Speaker 1: but everyone that I know you know you're the toughest guy.
- 5:42Speaker 3: They know.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But what I mean by that, and what's amazing to me,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I've seen guys make snidy, cocky remarks for accomplishing a
- 5:51Speaker 1: lot less and I've never, honestly, and all the time
- 5:54Speaker 1: I've been around, you never heard you even as a
- 5:56Speaker 1: throwaway comment, say something like that, which to me is
- 5:58Speaker 1: hugely respectable, and that that's something that stands out for me.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And before you speak sorry, I'm gonna go ahead. I'm
- 6:05Speaker 1: gonna finish this thought. The other thing is that you
- 6:08Speaker 1: said to me the other day that, once again talking
- 6:09Speaker 1: about this impossible life, you said to me.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Right now, the greatest accomplishment in your.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Life would be the navy seat. It was being a
- 6:17Speaker 1: navy seal. For most people, that's what they put right
- 6:19Speaker 1: number one. But you said, you know that you're moving
- 6:23Speaker 1: to a time when that's just going to be another accomplishment,
- 6:25Speaker 1: but not be the greatest thing.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And for me, man like, even just saying that now
- 6:28Speaker 3: gives me chills.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That's a mindset and that's a person that I will
- 6:32Speaker 1: rock with all day, thank you, and I love that.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And that's exactly what for me this podcast is about.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Is that hunger and that desire to go out and say, hey,
- 6:40Speaker 1: like we're not settling, we're hungry, like we're we we
- 6:43Speaker 1: want this, we want to be the best we can
- 6:44Speaker 1: possibly be.
- 6:45Speaker 2: To me, that that whole thought process kind of comes
- 6:48Speaker 2: from if by Rudyard Kipling.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I don't remember the.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Line specifically, but he says, you know, if you could
- 6:54Speaker 2: lose it all on a game of talks and begin again,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that to me is one of the not the not
- 7:00Speaker 2: the only one, but one of the measures of a man,
- 7:03Speaker 2: and hints on resiliency. Is that ability to lose it
- 7:06Speaker 2: all and to go again, or to get to the
- 7:09Speaker 2: top in an area and say I'll start over again.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I think people have where not everyone. So many of
- 7:15Speaker 2: my peers are just crushing it. But some guys leave
- 7:18Speaker 2: the seal teams and know that like that's the greatest
- 7:19Speaker 2: thing I'll ever do. And some of that also has
- 7:22Speaker 2: to do with if you know, I left the seal
- 7:24Speaker 2: teams in my young twenties, other guys are leaving the
- 7:26Speaker 2: seal teams in their forties and fifties, and that can
- 7:28Speaker 2: be a different challenge but still the same. You know,
- 7:31Speaker 2: you can decide I'm going to go on and do
- 7:32Speaker 2: other equally or more significant things. I knew I was
- 7:36Speaker 2: going to do that. But before we kind of go
- 7:38Speaker 2: down that road, I just want to come back touch
- 7:40Speaker 2: on some of the things you said, and just wrap
- 7:43Speaker 2: up there. I'm thankful for that intro. When I listen
- 7:47Speaker 2: to you say all those things in the intro. Really,
- 7:49Speaker 2: all I hear is all the people that have had
- 7:52Speaker 2: a huge influence on me, something I want to start
- 7:55Speaker 2: with for sure, because it's a huge influence on me.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Early.
- 7:58Speaker 2: A lot of people think this comes from the movie
- 8:00Speaker 2: Spider Man, where Uncle Ben says, to who much is given,
- 8:03Speaker 2: much is required. But that's actually I believe it's Luke
- 8:06Speaker 2: twelve forty eight that says, to who much is given,
- 8:08Speaker 2: much is required. All the accolades or titles or whatever
- 8:12Speaker 2: that you're putting on me, I really look at those
- 8:14Speaker 2: things as I'm a product of those things. I'm a
- 8:17Speaker 2: product of amazing parents. Like I have two parents that
- 8:19Speaker 2: love each other and are really a great model for
- 8:22Speaker 2: a happy marriage. So I'm super privileged there. I'm one
- 8:24Speaker 2: of the most privileged people I know. So I don't
- 8:26Speaker 2: give myself a lot of grace and mercy. What I
- 8:29Speaker 2: really give myself is a lot of expectation to serve
- 8:32Speaker 2: others because I've been given so much. But I'm a
- 8:34Speaker 2: product of amazing parents. I'm a product of growing up
- 8:37Speaker 2: around very smart, very wise leadership thinkers, people like Pastor
- 8:41Speaker 2: Keith and others who influenced me. I'm a product of
- 8:44Speaker 2: the Seal teams. I got to benefit from being around them,
- 8:47Speaker 2: and a training style and a training methods that have
- 8:51Speaker 2: been forged by some of the toughest combat by some
- 8:54Speaker 2: of the most amazing leaders over the last fifties well
- 8:58Speaker 2: more than that years now. So I'm a product of
- 9:01Speaker 2: all of those things. The last thing that I'm going
- 9:04Speaker 2: to ever do, Nick, and I guess that's what you're saying,
- 9:06Speaker 2: you appreciate about me. But the last thing I'm going
- 9:08Speaker 2: to get up and do is talk about, well, here's
- 9:10Speaker 2: what I said, and here's what I did, and here's
- 9:12Speaker 2: who I am. Here's all these things that are me me, Me, Me, Me, Garrett,
- 9:14Speaker 2: Garrett Garrett. Because in all of this stuff, like even
- 9:17Speaker 2: if I say something smart, I can go like, you know, really,
- 9:20Speaker 2: here's you know, I've been influenced by this. I've been
- 9:22Speaker 2: influenced by those things. Like the last thing the world
- 9:24Speaker 2: needs is another person walking around slapping a sticker with
- 9:27Speaker 2: their name on it on everything, like here's me, here's
- 9:30Speaker 2: my quote, here's my business. Everyone, look how great I am.
- 9:33Speaker 2: The world we live in right now is such a
- 9:37Speaker 2: one of the big lies right now is the live
- 9:39Speaker 2: of the self made man. Everyone's like, look, I'm so
- 9:41Speaker 2: successful all by myself. Nobody helped me. I'm the opposite
- 9:45Speaker 2: and or at least I'm trying to be. Like I
- 9:47Speaker 2: can tell you all the people that have helped me
- 9:49Speaker 2: be successful. I can tell you all the time God's
- 9:51Speaker 2: hand was on my life that like that. You know,
- 9:54Speaker 2: this person just called me and that's who I was
- 9:56Speaker 2: looking for and they called me like so it's really
- 9:59Speaker 2: easy for me, Nick, I guess to just take myself
- 10:01Speaker 2: out of the equation and not feel significant about those things.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I'm just trying to live my life the best I
- 10:07Speaker 2: can and do what God's asked to me, be obedient
- 10:09Speaker 2: to the will of God. And like Luke twelve forty
- 10:12Speaker 2: eight says, to who much is given, much is required.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I felt like I've been given so much, so there's
- 10:16Speaker 2: a lot of expectation for me on what I'm supposed
- 10:18Speaker 2: to do with my life.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and that, I mean, there's so much to take
- 10:21Speaker 1: out of that, And that's a beautiful approach to look
- 10:23Speaker 1: at it as more looking at what's been given into
- 10:26Speaker 1: and taking responsibility. Now, I have to quote Uncle Ben
- 10:29Speaker 1: correctly because I'm a Spider Man fan, and so is
- 10:31Speaker 1: my general fix. I mean, you quoted the scripture and
- 10:34Speaker 1: said that that's what Uncle Ben said. But Uncle Ben
- 10:36Speaker 1: actually said, with great power comes great responsibility. Yeah, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: thank you to wo much as much as required from Jesus.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so I said the scripture, but you're saying, yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 2: that's where Uncle Ben said, but the Luke twelve forty
- 10:47Speaker 2: eight is essentially the same thing.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Jesus, Uncle Ben. You know, we hold in high regard, right,
- 10:52Speaker 1: And just to say, I'm.
- 10:53Speaker 2: There's a lot of Uncle Ben's out there trying to
- 10:55Speaker 2: quote scripture and say it was them. I don't want
- 10:57Speaker 2: to be one of those people.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Oh, I appreciate that, and I'm glad to be here
- 11:00Speaker 1: to correct you. And really that's what I'm here for,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you know I am. I'm here to just pull those
- 11:05Speaker 1: things out and everything. Well, when you say something.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And I'm glad you said that because I want to
- 11:09Speaker 2: make sure and say this on here, I'm so grateful
- 11:12Speaker 2: for you. You are an answer to prayer for me
- 11:15Speaker 2: because I love this, I love what we're doing here.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I love just the thought that maybe by what we're
- 11:21Speaker 2: talking about, there's one person out there that could hear
- 11:24Speaker 2: this and it click for them. They're going to hear
- 11:26Speaker 2: something and their world completely shifts and it sets them
- 11:30Speaker 2: on the path of their destiny. And that wouldn't be
- 11:33Speaker 2: happening without you, because while I may be able to
- 11:36Speaker 2: talk into a microphone, this microphone wouldn't be here without you,
- 11:39Speaker 2: this podcast wouldn't be recorded and published. What you're hearing
- 11:42Speaker 2: now would not exist without Nick Surface. So you're an
- 11:45Speaker 2: answer to prayer for me because I wanted this to happen,
- 11:47Speaker 2: but I don't have all of the abilities that you have.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I don't I'm not the person who can do all
- 11:52Speaker 2: this stuff. So you you're making this happen just as
- 11:54Speaker 2: much as I am. So I'm just going to make
- 11:56Speaker 2: sure that's clear in here that I'm very thankful for you,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and I'm grateful.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I appreciate that, man.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I mean, I think we share the same heart as
- 12:03Speaker 1: far as what we what we want, and what you
- 12:05Speaker 1: touched on right there with people hopefully unlocking something in them.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You know, for me, while I don't have quite the
- 12:11Speaker 1: rap sheet that you do, I'm proud of the way
- 12:14Speaker 1: I live. I'm proud that I live up to my
- 12:15Speaker 1: values and you know, the life I have with my
- 12:18Speaker 1: wife and my kids and just a lot of things
- 12:20Speaker 1: about the way I'm living. I'm pleased with what I'm doing.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I'm not patting myself on the back. I'm not stopping
- 12:24Speaker 1: to throw a parade, nothing like that, But like I'm
- 12:27Speaker 1: grateful for how.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Many people are though, how many people are just waiting
- 12:31Speaker 2: for the marching band to come around the corner. Everyone, look,
- 12:34Speaker 2: how great Nick is? I kind of look at what
- 12:36Speaker 2: it as that I think you're really great. Well, I
- 12:39Speaker 2: appreciate that, and I bet your I bet your wife does.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I bet most of your children would say.
- 12:43Speaker 3: That due my kids love me. Yeah, that's but that
- 12:45Speaker 3: they're too young.
- 12:46Speaker 2: But how know better that how many people are stuck
- 12:48Speaker 2: on that thought process if they're just waiting for someone
- 12:50Speaker 2: to clap for them.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Which, yeah, and I totally get that. I hear your
- 12:54Speaker 1: heart on that. We're obviously going to dive into a
- 12:57Speaker 1: lot of the stuff that you do and a few
- 12:59Speaker 1: other things on this pod, but.
- 13:00Speaker 2: That's not even the point. The point is that people
- 13:02Speaker 2: can hear something here and it can shift.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's our herd. Thank you for bringing back
- 13:07Speaker 1: to that, and I think that's where we both share.
- 13:08Speaker 1: This is for me as I got a little bit
- 13:11Speaker 1: sidetracked I've always always you know, I was a soccer
- 13:14Speaker 1: coach for a number of years as well, and I
- 13:17Speaker 1: what I always said, the best coach is not the
- 13:19Speaker 1: one who wins all the trophies or can take a
- 13:20Speaker 1: great team and like do what they're supposed to. The
- 13:23Speaker 1: best coach is the one that maximizes what he has,
- 13:25Speaker 1: in my opinion, and so I it actually kills me.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Strange enough. We went and fed some homeless together, and
- 13:32Speaker 1: what a humbling experience that is to see people, in
- 13:35Speaker 1: my opinion, at the kind of the lowest possible place
- 13:39Speaker 1: they can be, you know what I mean, Like they've
- 13:41Speaker 1: got nothing, they're completely hooked on. Unfortunately, what we were seeing,
- 13:44Speaker 1: we saw the needles and all the things that were
- 13:45Speaker 1: going on, and it's heartbreaking. And I couldn't help but
- 13:48Speaker 1: get the thought out of my head while we're walking around,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I wonder what your life.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Could have been.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And that is what motivates me as a person, both
- 13:56Speaker 1: in my own life to lead myself and the way
- 13:58Speaker 1: I leave my kids from my friends is when I
- 14:00Speaker 1: encourage people, is because I want to see people maximize
- 14:03Speaker 1: every single thing they have in their life and live
- 14:06Speaker 1: up to their absolute full potential. Whatever that means for
- 14:09Speaker 1: that person. And so fortunately I've got a guy like
- 14:12Speaker 1: you who's we've been brought together and has something that
- 14:16Speaker 1: he's accomplished that I think everybody universally recognizes as pretty
- 14:20Speaker 1: elite in the fact that you are a Navy seal.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Thank you, But much beyond that. This is not about
- 14:24Speaker 1: saying like, oh, here's a Navy seal, be like him.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Nothing to do with that. This is one hundred percent
- 14:29Speaker 1: about let's dive in and find out what.
- 14:31Speaker 2: If If we're listening to Garrett because he's a Navy seal,
- 14:34Speaker 2: I can list off about one hundred Navy seals that
- 14:37Speaker 2: you should listen to. Yeah, So hopefully this is more
- 14:39Speaker 2: than that, Oh.
- 14:40Speaker 1: One hundred percent it's about but it's about capturing that hunger,
- 14:44Speaker 1: that thought process and diving into those different those different
- 14:49Speaker 1: avenues of life that so many people struggle with and
- 14:51Speaker 1: unlocking them so people can break forward and change the
- 14:54Speaker 1: way they think and you know, change their lives.
- 14:57Speaker 2: And hopefully how that's going to happen for people is
- 15:00Speaker 2: you hear something on here, but it clicks. Nick's gonna
- 15:04Speaker 2: help bring it out of me. And what I'm gonna
- 15:05Speaker 2: talk about on this podcast is really hopefully it breaks
- 15:09Speaker 2: down for you this pedestal that people put me or
- 15:12Speaker 2: put baby seals on of this different type of individual
- 15:16Speaker 2: that I don't share the same DNA that every other
- 15:18Speaker 2: human does. I am so fragile, I am so mortal.
- 15:23Speaker 2: What's great about seal teams is that they're the teams.
- 15:26Speaker 2: It's not if you put a seal by himself. Yeah
- 15:28Speaker 2: he's trained, but seals are powerful in teams, not a
- 15:32Speaker 2: seal individual. And what I want people to get from
- 15:35Speaker 2: this is to see really how small I am by myself.
- 15:40Speaker 2: But really what I'm capable of is because I align
- 15:43Speaker 2: myself with other people because I make it not about me,
- 15:45Speaker 2: but I make it about the mission. I make it
- 15:47Speaker 2: about the team. And that's where you can achieve some
- 15:50Speaker 2: really great things in your life. So you can become
- 15:52Speaker 2: more capable in your life, your family, your business by
- 15:55Speaker 2: some of the things we're going to talk about, but
- 15:56Speaker 2: you're also going to be more capable as an individual.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And I'll talk about some of those things for my
- 16:01Speaker 2: life as well. Where I could have been a very
- 16:03Speaker 2: different person. I could have just been know a goofball
- 16:06Speaker 2: that never really amounted to anything, and that really all
- 16:08Speaker 2: comes back to some ways of thinking and some intentional
- 16:11Speaker 2: decisions that I made what I believed about myself and
- 16:14Speaker 2: what I determined I was going to do, and you, listener,
- 16:17Speaker 2: are able to do the exact same thing. You can
- 16:20Speaker 2: decide here's what I believe, and you can decide here's
- 16:23Speaker 2: what I'm going to do, and your life can explode
- 16:26Speaker 2: in a completely different way. Or you can listen to
- 16:28Speaker 2: this and say, those guys are full of it, and
- 16:30Speaker 2: you're right. So this isn't a I would part of
- 16:34Speaker 2: what's unique to me, nick is And some people like this,
- 16:36Speaker 2: some people don't. Everywhere I go I challenge people like
- 16:39Speaker 2: that just happens. That's just who I am. Some people
- 16:41Speaker 2: who don't like to be challenged don't like me very much.
- 16:44Speaker 2: And the challenge I would give to every listener there's
- 16:46Speaker 2: probably going to be a challenge on every episode of
- 16:48Speaker 2: this podcast, is decide that are you someone who believes
- 16:52Speaker 2: if I can shift my way of thinking, that I
- 16:55Speaker 2: can change my life. If you believe that, this is
- 16:57Speaker 2: probably the right podcast for you. If you're waiting for
- 17:00Speaker 2: me to give you the tips and tricks to like,
- 17:03Speaker 2: you know, just press a button and your life change,
- 17:06Speaker 2: And just press a button and everything's easy or you
- 17:09Speaker 2: know how to If you'll just think this thought, the
- 17:11Speaker 2: water's not cold anymore. You're going to be listening and
- 17:13Speaker 2: hoping for a long time and you're not going to
- 17:15Speaker 2: hear what you want to hear. But if you know
- 17:17Speaker 2: that you have the power to transform your life, you
- 17:19Speaker 2: want to listen to people who think the same thing,
- 17:22Speaker 2: and you want to listen to some people that are
- 17:23Speaker 2: going to explore that topic show you how to shift
- 17:26Speaker 2: your life by your way of thinking. This is where
- 17:28Speaker 2: you need to be.
- 17:30Speaker 3: The whole.
- 17:30Speaker 1: What I wanted to accomplish for this is to give
- 17:32Speaker 1: people something they can hopefully listen to on their drive
- 17:35Speaker 1: and get something that's going to be a seed in
- 17:38Speaker 1: their mind and their heart and their spirit to help them,
- 17:41Speaker 1: you know, grow and develop and take these things and
- 17:44Speaker 1: grow out. But I think from this first podcast, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: just want people to understand why we're here, and really,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I know your heart and I know my heart is
- 17:51Speaker 1: to just equip people as best as possible to live
- 17:55Speaker 1: and be the best.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Version of themselves.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Absolutely, I think that.
- 17:57Speaker 1: That's the best that anybody could do. I know that's
- 17:59Speaker 1: the and you're on. That's the journey I'm on. It
- 18:01Speaker 1: looks different for everybody. Not everyone's going to be a
- 18:03Speaker 1: Navy seal. Not everybody's going to be whatever I am.
- 18:06Speaker 1: They're going to be them and that's the best thing
- 18:08Speaker 1: they could be. Absolutely, And so I think that there's
- 18:10Speaker 1: tactics and as you said, principles that apply universally to
- 18:13Speaker 1: all people that we're going to dive into. And I
- 18:16Speaker 1: think resiliency and self talk is probably gonna be the
- 18:18Speaker 1: first one. But I think right now, like I'd like
- 18:21Speaker 1: to just wrap it up and just say to everybody, hey,
- 18:23Speaker 1: stick with us.
- 18:24Speaker 3: We're discovering this thing. We're excited.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I think that you can count on as that we're
- 18:29Speaker 1: committed to it. It's not going to be something that
- 18:30Speaker 1: has three episodes and disappears. And yeah, I appreciate you
- 18:35Speaker 1: guys joining us.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Well, I'm honored that people would listen. But but more so,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I hope that this can just be a sounding board
- 18:40Speaker 2: for people who are in know they're in a process
- 18:43Speaker 2: of becoming, who know that they're headed somewhere, and even
- 18:46Speaker 2: if you don't know what that place is, you know
- 18:48Speaker 2: that you're going somewhere. That's what Nick and I are
- 18:50Speaker 2: aligned on this podcast. We're aligned in life. Nick and
- 18:53Speaker 2: I are people who know what we want out of life,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and we don't think that we have all of the answers,
- 18:58Speaker 2: but we are going to share what we do know
- 19:00Speaker 2: to everyone else that is like us on this process
- 19:03Speaker 2: of becoming. I know that nothing can stop them exactly.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I could have said it any better myself. Well, there's
- 19:08Speaker 1: number one in the books. We may look back on
- 19:09Speaker 1: this and think how terrible it was one day, or
- 19:11Speaker 1: we might I don't know what we'll think, but it'll
- 19:14Speaker 1: be fun. Thank you so much for listening to the
