Latest / Foul Territory / Dodgers checkup w/Dylan Hernández: Tanner Scott woes, RP Kershaw
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: They check out this tweek from Dylan Hernandez La Times
- 0:05Speaker 1: Calmnist joining us in five seconds. Very simple, Tanner Scott
- 0:09Speaker 1: does it again. A lack of words from just about
- 0:14Speaker 1: anyone right now when we're talking about one of the
- 0:18Speaker 1: biggest reliever signings money wise of the off season and
- 0:21Speaker 1: Dylan joins us right now, Dylan, when you saw what happened,
- 0:26Speaker 1: what were your thoughts? If we forced you to say
- 0:28Speaker 1: more than one sentence, what were your thoughts?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Just wow, you know, I mean, it's it's kind of
- 0:36Speaker 2: Otani in reverse right where you know Tani kind of
- 0:40Speaker 2: seems to amaze you and kind of take your breath
- 0:42Speaker 2: away time and time again, and you're like, oh my god,
- 0:44Speaker 2: he did it again. This is like almost that in
- 0:46Speaker 2: reverse right where you're just kind of seeing like, you know,
- 0:49Speaker 2: at some point he's got to get it right, you think,
- 0:51Speaker 2: you know, and yeah, he just kind of did it
- 0:53Speaker 2: again last night.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Is this the biggest bust signing? I mean, is this
- 0:57Speaker 3: twek all the signing a bust already even if they
- 0:59Speaker 3: go out and win the World Series because he signed
- 1:01Speaker 3: a three year deal and he was one of the
- 1:03Speaker 3: guys that the Dodger fans are saying, oh man, we're
- 1:06Speaker 3: never gonna blow a lead with this because we have
- 1:09Speaker 3: Scott and Trying and Kirby Yates and Vessia and we
- 1:13Speaker 3: have an unstoppable bullpen Copek and we're never gonna lose.
- 1:17Speaker 3: And now all of a sudden he's blown what ten saves?
- 1:19Speaker 3: And he's his record is god awful? Eleven? Any what's eleventh?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Eleven and runs or something crazy?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it hasn't been good for sure, you know. And
- 1:29Speaker 2: I think that, right, I mean, this is the type
- 1:31Speaker 2: of contract really that the Dodgers have kind of avoided
- 1:34Speaker 2: giving to relievers outside of Kenlly Jansen, right, who was
- 1:37Speaker 2: kind of a special case. Right, this is we're talking
- 1:39Speaker 2: you know, Johnson. We're talking about, you know, a guy
- 1:41Speaker 2: that was kind of like on his way to the
- 1:42Speaker 2: Hall of Fame all time, you know, career saves, leader
- 1:45Speaker 2: for the franchise and really stabilized that bullpen. Yeah, this
- 1:48Speaker 2: one can turn out to be pretty bad, right, I mean,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I think that this isn't the type of contract that
- 1:52Speaker 2: you kind of load.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I think you got three more years after this.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You know, and just I think, you know, I mean,
- 1:59Speaker 2: if you kind of go back and look at it,
- 2:01Speaker 2: I mean the irony is is this kind of Okanie's
- 2:03Speaker 2: fault in that right? He faced Otani four times last
- 2:06Speaker 2: year in the NLDS, so TONI couldn't hit the guy
- 2:08Speaker 2: at all, and the Dodgers just said, you know, what
- 2:10Speaker 2: the hell with it, Let's let's go get this guy,
- 2:13Speaker 2: you know, partially to take him away from other teams.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And the thing just kind of backfired spectacularly. I mean,
- 2:18Speaker 2: if Atani gets like one hit off this guy in
- 2:19Speaker 2: the postseason, I'm not sure they give him seventy two
- 2:22Speaker 2: million dollars.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Finally they can blame something that's not going well on Otani.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Everything else is peaches for Otani, but on Tanner Scott.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Is this a mishandling of Tanner Scott has the Dodgers
- 2:36Speaker 5: montro that works for so many people besides keeping pitchers healthy.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Ben Did they handle him incorrectly? I don't I don't
- 2:43Speaker 5: watch enough games and didn't look up enough stats. Or
- 2:46Speaker 5: is this all a Tanner Scott thing?
- 2:50Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:50Speaker 2: I actually think that that it was. They did mishandle
- 2:53Speaker 2: right in the sense that they didn't have like a
- 2:55Speaker 2: real nine.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Enning guy coming into this season. I mean, what may.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Tanner Scott so good in the playoffs last ye he
- 3:00Speaker 2: was like, okay, well Connie comes up, you bring in
- 3:02Speaker 2: Tanner Scott left on left. Yeah, you do have to
- 3:05Speaker 2: kind of get through Mooki after that, But then it's
- 3:06Speaker 2: Freddie Freeman, right, And then he really did a great job, right.
- 3:10Speaker 2: The Padres kind of deployed him very strategically, kind of
- 3:12Speaker 2: throwing him against those lefties, you know, And I think
- 3:15Speaker 2: at the beginning of the season, you get him kind
- 3:18Speaker 2: of out of his comfort zone, he starts getting hit,
- 3:21Speaker 2: and then things just kind of snowball, right.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I mean, I think at this point you're just kind.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Of watching kind of with the you know, uncharacteristic fear
- 3:29Speaker 2: with which he's pitching right now. You know, it appears
- 3:33Speaker 2: to be just as much of a mental problem now
- 3:35Speaker 2: than anything. So yeah, I think this kind of goes
- 3:37Speaker 2: back to the beginning and maybe, you know, again, the
- 3:40Speaker 2: role that he had last year that earned him this deal,
- 3:42Speaker 2: that's not the same role really that he was asked
- 3:43Speaker 2: to perform this season.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Dylan.
- 3:48Speaker 3: First of all, what do they do right now? If
- 3:50Speaker 3: it's a one roun lead the ninth They're not bringing
- 3:52Speaker 3: in Tanner Scott and this is just a regular season.
- 3:54Speaker 3: What if they get to the postseason, will he be
- 3:56Speaker 3: on the roster? And would it be Kershaw closing game?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Would it be I mean, I can't believe I'm about.
- 4:02Speaker 5: To say this.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Roki Sazaki in the bullpen and maybe close the games?
- 4:07Speaker 3: I don't know what what do they do because this
- 4:09Speaker 3: was supposed to be again a lockdown bullpen. And who
- 4:12Speaker 3: closed a game in the Wildcard round Game one with
- 4:15Speaker 3: a one run lead in the ninth.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think these are all great questions. I don't
- 4:21Speaker 2: think they know right now, you know, I mean, even
- 4:23Speaker 2: coming into this week, I think it was very telling.
- 4:26Speaker 2: You know, I asked Dave Roberts, you know, kind of
- 4:29Speaker 2: over the last week of the season, you're only going
- 4:31Speaker 2: to have so many, you know, high leverage innings.
- 4:34Speaker 4: You know, do you do you use those innings to
- 4:36Speaker 4: get guys like Canner Scott and Blake.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Trining right, or do you use them more on kind
- 4:40Speaker 2: of like experimental guys, right, like the Rokie Sasaki's, you know,
- 4:44Speaker 2: maybe Will Klein who just got called back up and
- 4:46Speaker 2: you know it looked okay in his first two appearances,
- 4:49Speaker 2: And you know, Dave Roberts really didn't have an answer
- 4:51Speaker 2: at that point, I don't. I think at this point
- 4:53Speaker 2: they're just gonna Yeah, I don't know, you know, I mean,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I think that's a really good question. I mean I
- 4:57Speaker 2: I kind of personally like the Kershaw thing, just because
- 5:00Speaker 2: we know at least he won't like shrink from the moment.
- 5:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That said, if you kind of look at him this year,
- 5:07Speaker 2: the one inning that's giving him trouble is actually the
- 5:09Speaker 2: first inning right in this starts, So you know, coming
- 5:12Speaker 2: in cold like that, is he going to be able
- 5:14Speaker 2: to write? This is something he's never done before. You know,
- 5:18Speaker 2: Sasaki has never you know, until last week that he
- 5:20Speaker 2: pitched those two made those two relief appearances at Triple A,
- 5:23Speaker 2: he had never pitched in relief in his life. So
- 5:27Speaker 2: they're at a very very desperate state right now.
- 5:30Speaker 4: I mean, I my.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Feeling is that no option is a good one at
- 5:34Speaker 2: this point. You know, they're probably you know, like, let's
- 5:36Speaker 2: just theoretically, say they do get to the World Series somehow.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know, my guess is that you're going to have
- 5:41Speaker 2: you know, guys like Otani Yamamoto not just starting games,
- 5:46Speaker 2: but maybe even closing out a game a series or something.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Because I just don't know, how they're going to fill up,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you know, fill up these innings. You know, I know
- 5:52Speaker 2: Alex Vesia has been like their most reliable guy. You know,
- 5:55Speaker 2: if there's one guy you're going to kind of designate,
- 5:56Speaker 2: it's like, this is our guy in the bullpen, it's
- 5:58Speaker 2: Alex Vesia. Well, he had to pitch the eighth inning yesterday,
- 6:01Speaker 2: he had to face Marte and Carrol. I mean, he
- 6:05Speaker 2: that was kind of the meat of the lineup there,
- 6:06Speaker 2: So you can't say him for the ninth in that situation.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Yeah, And I don't. I don't know what they're gonna do.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I mean, I think there's really not enough time to
- 6:13Speaker 2: really kind of figure out what you got going on here.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You know, they brought in Jack Dryer, who's looked pretty
- 6:18Speaker 2: good kind of in low leverage situations. They pitched him
- 6:20Speaker 2: in kind of a pressure situation last night. He gave
- 6:23Speaker 2: up runs. You know, you know, Edgardo n Riquez certainly
- 6:27Speaker 2: has like the you know, the the you know, I
- 6:30Speaker 2: would say the presence of a future closer. He's pretty
- 6:33Speaker 2: fastball dominant at this point, and he's again he's looked
- 6:36Speaker 2: good in low leverage situations.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Do you want to bring him this young kid in
- 6:39Speaker 4: in the ninth I don't know, you.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Know, And again I I I think you know, they're
- 6:43Speaker 2: gonna need some luck, you know, to kind of figure
- 6:46Speaker 2: this out on the fly, probably because they're gonna, you know,
- 6:49Speaker 2: one of one or two of these experiments could go
- 6:51Speaker 2: really really wrong.
- 6:53Speaker 5: First of all, Dylan Yamamoto's not throwing on anything but
- 6:55Speaker 5: six days rest. He ain't closing jack out. That guy
- 6:58Speaker 5: hasn't seen him mound outside of his six days of
- 7:01Speaker 5: rest that he gets. But secondly, why do we need
- 7:05Speaker 5: to have this conversation? They have the best starting rotation.
- 7:09Speaker 5: Will the Dodgers allow those guys to stay in the game.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Unlike every other year that we've seen the Dodgers where
- 7:15Speaker 5: it's like oh five and dive see you later, they
- 7:19Speaker 5: is Dave Roberts going to completely flip the analytical switch
- 7:22Speaker 5: and go glass now Yamamoto, Blake Snell show, Hey, you
- 7:27Speaker 5: guys have been nails the last month. We're keeping you
- 7:30Speaker 5: in for six, maybe even seven or eight innings.
- 7:35Speaker 2: You don't think he has a choice, right And you know,
- 7:37Speaker 2: one thing I've kind of been telling people is I
- 7:39Speaker 2: think in a way Roberts might be kind of be
- 7:42Speaker 2: getting set up almost for a grady little moment, right,
- 7:44Speaker 2: I mean, if anything, you know, kind of the irony
- 7:47Speaker 2: here is right up until this point, Roberts has been
- 7:49Speaker 2: criticized a lot for pulling the starters too early. Obviously
- 7:51Speaker 2: there's the input from the front office. I mean, he's
- 7:53Speaker 2: not making these decisions on his own. But you know,
- 7:56Speaker 2: kind of in this hypothetical situation, you know, let's be honest, right,
- 7:59Speaker 2: Blake Snell is as good as he is in the playoffs,
- 8:01Speaker 2: he's kind of like a five inning pitcher.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Let's hypothetically say you're in the sixth inning now, and
- 8:07Speaker 2: your option is to right, continue to go with Blake
- 8:10Speaker 2: Snell or bring in Edgardo Enriquez, who again is kind
- 8:13Speaker 2: of a very you know, talented but you know, picture
- 8:17Speaker 2: with like a fairly limited arsenal.
- 8:19Speaker 4: At this point, My guess is that a lot of times.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Now he's going to kind of lean on these starting
- 8:24Speaker 2: pitchers to kind of get through that inning. And you know,
- 8:27Speaker 2: I could see this, just the way the game has
- 8:29Speaker 2: evolved in everything, that that could also kind of backfire.
- 8:32Speaker 2: We don't see, guys, you know, I mean the game
- 8:34Speaker 2: has changed for a reason, right, I Mean, you got
- 8:36Speaker 2: all these guys coming out of the bullpen throwing a hundred.
- 8:39Speaker 2: You know, you kind of change them up according to
- 8:41Speaker 2: kind of the matchups. You know, guys obviously do better,
- 8:44Speaker 2: you know, second time through the lineup, third time through
- 8:47Speaker 2: the lineup.
- 8:48Speaker 6: You know.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And I do kind of wonder if Roberts is going
- 8:50Speaker 2: to be in a position where he's gonna, you know,
- 8:52Speaker 2: have to kind of bet on the starter just because
- 8:54Speaker 2: of the lack of alternatives here.

- 9:55Speaker 1: Your Blueprint Activated with Superpower Jillan.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Hell, how big of a deal is it that they're
- 10:01Speaker 3: gonna have to play the wildcard round for the first
- 10:03Speaker 3: time in a while here, They're gonna have to play
- 10:06Speaker 3: those three extra games, whether it's against the Mets, the
- 10:09Speaker 3: Reds and Diamondbacks, whoever. That sixth seed is. How important
- 10:12Speaker 3: is that? Because that's just more innings on if show
- 10:15Speaker 3: Hayes lined up to be the game one guy, it's
- 10:17Speaker 3: warnings on show Head, warnings on Yama Mode, warnings on Snell,
- 10:21Speaker 3: warnings on Glass. Now, right, they've always been able to
- 10:24Speaker 3: kind of just skip to the next level. We'll just
- 10:26Speaker 3: skip to the next round right fast forward through that
- 10:29Speaker 3: you only have to worry about three series. Now they're
- 10:31Speaker 3: gonna possibly have to worry about four series.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I mean it's you know, we've right, I mean,
- 10:36Speaker 2: it's baseball, three games series. Anything can happen, first of all, right,
- 10:39Speaker 2: and and not only is the more innings for the starters,
- 10:42Speaker 2: it's also more innings that the bullpen's gonna have to cover.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I mean, every time you go to the bullpen, there's
- 10:45Speaker 2: a chance that's something really really bad is gonna happen,
- 10:48Speaker 2: you know, And I think too, what's gonna be kind
- 10:50Speaker 2: of scary here for them is, you know, how do
- 10:53Speaker 2: they line up a starting pitchers for that Wildcard series?
- 10:56Speaker 4: You know, obviously there's one idea.
- 10:58Speaker 2: That you go Snell Yama Moto and then you kind
- 11:01Speaker 2: of save Otani for Game three, basically hoping that you
- 11:05Speaker 2: don't have to use them at all in that wildcard round,
- 11:07Speaker 2: you know, or that if you do, maybe you use
- 11:08Speaker 2: them as a reliever to kind of close out Game two.
- 11:11Speaker 2: But what if you lose those two games? I mean,
- 11:13Speaker 2: you are you're going to really end your season with
- 11:15Speaker 2: shohel Tani not pitching. Uh, that's a problem, right, I mean,
- 11:20Speaker 2: you know we always kind of talk about you want
- 11:21Speaker 2: to lose at least with your guys out there. So yeah,
- 11:24Speaker 2: it also kind of adds this kind of layer of
- 11:26Speaker 2: decision making, which you know, if anything right, I mean,
- 11:31Speaker 2: we've I think there's been a lot of conversation how
- 11:33Speaker 2: smart this front office is, and I think to some
- 11:35Speaker 2: degree they've earned that reputation.
- 11:37Speaker 4: But you know, they've also had a pension for overthinking
- 11:39Speaker 4: at times.
- 11:39Speaker 2: And this is the type of situation actually where I
- 11:41Speaker 2: could see them thinking themselves out of starting Otani in
- 11:44Speaker 2: one of those first two games and potentially even losing
- 11:47Speaker 2: again with him not even having thrown a pitch in
- 11:49Speaker 2: that series.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Wow.
- 11:53Speaker 6: Hey, I wanted to get a question.
- 11:54Speaker 3: In Tony's got to start game one. He's been their best.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Pitch, Yeah, and he's lined up for it.
- 12:02Speaker 3: He's lined up for it. I mean, if it through
- 12:03Speaker 3: six innings last night, he's lined up for it. Didn't
- 12:05Speaker 3: it hasn't been affecting his offense as much as was
- 12:07Speaker 3: in the past, right, he's I mean, if I'm them,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I go otaniy Snell, Yamamoto, or some some form of
- 12:16Speaker 3: those three, because they've been your three best.
- 12:18Speaker 6: Look.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I would go with hoany game one, just to just
- 12:20Speaker 2: to be clear. But I think if you also kind
- 12:22Speaker 2: of look ahead in the schedule, you pitch game one,
- 12:26Speaker 2: you can pitch game two of the NLDS on five
- 12:30Speaker 2: days rest, then you can pitch that whoever starts a
- 12:34Speaker 2: game two can come back for game five on four
- 12:36Speaker 2: days rest. Right, So if you look at their top
- 12:38Speaker 2: three guys, Yamamoto, Otani, Snell, you know, of that group,
- 12:43Speaker 2: now is the only guy that's pitched on four days rest,
- 12:46Speaker 2: like even like in his career.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I think you know so.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I think because of that, I wouldn't be shocked if
- 12:51Speaker 2: they went with Snell with game one just too again
- 12:53Speaker 2: because they're kind of trying to roll this out for it.
- 12:56Speaker 4: But again I agree with you. I think you got
- 12:57Speaker 4: to throw your best guy first.
- 12:58Speaker 3: You got to win to win that series to worry
- 13:02Speaker 3: about the d and if you don't win the wild card.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and also, by the way, in the wildcard, I mean,
- 13:08Speaker 1: people are freaking out about the bullpen.
- 13:09Speaker 6: You got to get through the wildcard round.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Like, you don't have to use any of the guys
- 13:13Speaker 1: that people are complaining about, Tanner, Scott Kirbyates, et cetera.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Right, Like you you could theoretically go who are our.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Best pitchers Glass Now, Snell, Otani, maybe Kershaw, Emmitchian, Like
- 13:24Speaker 1: you could just combine all those guys and have them pitch.
- 13:27Speaker 1: We've seen it plenty of times before, right.
- 13:29Speaker 3: I mean Kershaw, what they do with kershow is fascinating too.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Whatever they figure out, whatever they decide to do with
- 13:34Speaker 3: him bullpen, I know, but imagine him coming in and
- 13:37Speaker 3: last game ever and he's closing out the World Series.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Crazy, but it could happen, right, that would be awesome.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I mean, he was in the bullpen yesterday and I
- 13:47Speaker 2: you know, from what Dave Roberts said afterwards, sounds like
- 13:50Speaker 2: he's going to be in the bullpen again today.
- 13:51Speaker 4: My guess is that they're going to give him a
- 13:52Speaker 4: trial run out there.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Uh you know, and again like given their options at least,
- 13:57Speaker 2: you know, Roberts kind of went on, you know, postgame
- 14:01Speaker 2: talking about how he thinks his relievers are pitching a freight, right,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and I think kind of the one thing with Clayton
- 14:06Speaker 2: Kershaw that you know, whatever the result, he does not
- 14:09Speaker 2: pitch a frade. I mean even a couple of years
- 14:11Speaker 2: ago when he had that start in the NLPs against
- 14:13Speaker 2: the Dbacks, I mean, right, he knew he was going
- 14:16Speaker 2: to have to have shoulder surgery. You know, at the
- 14:18Speaker 2: end of that season. Kind of doesn't matter. He will
- 14:20Speaker 2: go out there and at least he will attack, and
- 14:23Speaker 2: I think you can, you know, if that doesn't work out,
- 14:25Speaker 2: I think you can kind of live with it, right
- 14:27Speaker 2: as opposed to, you know, kind of the performance that
- 14:30Speaker 2: we saw from Tenner Scott last night, where you know,
- 14:32Speaker 2: he hit a guy that walks a guy.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I mean, you know, I don't think people want to
- 14:35Speaker 4: see that.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Obviously, the fear is that the bullpen has to get
- 14:39Speaker 5: a lot of innings for the Dodgers. But one one
- 14:42Speaker 5: position and we didn't talk about is Will Smith. Will
- 14:46Speaker 5: Smith missing significant time at the end of the season
- 14:50Speaker 5: going into the playoffs. How big of a loss is this,
- 14:53Speaker 5: because in my opinion right now, he is the best
- 14:57Speaker 5: best hitting catcher in the National League.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it definitely offensively, it takes away a lot, right,
- 15:03Speaker 2: and I think you know the fact that you know,
- 15:06Speaker 2: Max Munsey's mixed, missed a bunch of time, Taskar Hernandez
- 15:09Speaker 2: has kind of been up and down right each one
- 15:12Speaker 2: of those guys that you can stack, it really kind
- 15:14Speaker 2: of lengthens the lineup and it kind of changes the
- 15:16Speaker 2: feel even, right, I mean, I think obviously, you know,
- 15:19Speaker 2: I think the opposing pitcher. No matter what, you're going
- 15:21Speaker 2: to be kind of cautious there at the top of
- 15:22Speaker 2: the lineup with Otani, Betts and Freeman. But you know,
- 15:25Speaker 2: to me, what's made the Dodgers' offense as special as
- 15:27Speaker 2: it is in recent years is the fact that after that,
- 15:29Speaker 2: you know, you do have Will Smith, right, you do
- 15:31Speaker 2: have Max Munsey, you do have you know, Taskar Hernandez.
- 15:35Speaker 2: You know, you know with Tommy Edmonds in there, right,
- 15:36Speaker 2: he's he's a tough at bat. And so yeah, no,
- 15:39Speaker 2: I totally agree with you. And you know, Will Smith
- 15:41Speaker 2: is one of those guys. I mean, we've seen it
- 15:42Speaker 2: this year. You know, if the other guys aren't hitting,
- 15:45Speaker 2: he's a guy that can win a game for you
- 15:47Speaker 2: by himself with his bats. So yeah, that's gonna be
- 15:49Speaker 2: that that is going to be kind of a big thing.
- 15:52Speaker 2: And you know, again, it's one thing I think if
- 15:54Speaker 2: the if you're right you're pitching, was all fine, and
- 15:57Speaker 2: you were confident that you could, okay, hold the other
- 15:59Speaker 2: team to okay, you know what, we're not going to
- 16:01Speaker 2: give up any more than two three runs.
- 16:03Speaker 4: You don't know that now, right, I mean.
- 16:04Speaker 2: They might have to be in they're in this position
- 16:07Speaker 2: now where they might have to outslug their opponents. And
- 16:10Speaker 2: if that's the case, you know, obviously you take out,
- 16:12Speaker 2: like you said, the best hitting catcher, you know, one
- 16:14Speaker 2: of the best hitting catchers in baseball.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Uh, that that's gonna kill you.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Hey, Dylan, great insight. Thank you for joining us, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: I guess we'll finish on a high note. Dodger fans
- 16:26Speaker 1: won the World Series last year, and you're gonna make
- 16:28Speaker 1: the play.
- 16:28Speaker 3: They're gonna win the division again. They're up to and
- 16:31Speaker 3: they have the tiebreak, so they're going to win the division. Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 3: they're gonna get home playoff games after that.
- 16:36Speaker 1: We don't know, yeah, exactly, Dylan, Thank you
- 16:40Speaker 4: Thank you for having me on
