- 0:00Speaker 1: Everybody's saying the same thing. It's one more thing. I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: strong andy, one more thing. I'm going to take a
- 0:09Speaker 1: contrarian approach.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Just just stay in practice. Whatever it is, whatever you're proposing,
- 0:15Speaker 2: I'm against it.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Before we get to the uniform political analysis, here's a joker.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Authorities in the Czech Republic are searching for a kangaroo
- 0:23Speaker 3: that escaped from a prison. And if you're wondering what
- 0:25Speaker 3: a kangaroo is doing in prison ten years for insurance fraud.
- 0:33Speaker 2: That's a funny joke.
- 0:37Speaker 1: That is funny. Why was a kangaroo in prison? I
- 0:44Speaker 1: just told you can't even might have to insurance fraud.
- 0:48Speaker 2: A bastard, line bastard.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So it hasn't escaped us. That pretty much everybody who
- 0:56Speaker 1: does political analysis of presidential races, left right and center,
- 1:00Speaker 1: they're all saying the same thing. If Trump can basically
- 1:05Speaker 1: change into a different personality, he can win this race.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah, going away. But he is not doing it.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And I would say it's mostly on the right that
- 1:16Speaker 2: you're hearing this increasingly frantic point of view expressed. Let's
- 1:21Speaker 2: start with Nicky Haley, then we'll go I think you'll
- 1:24Speaker 2: recognize most of the names. I'll shout him out before
- 1:26Speaker 2: we roll each clip.
- 1:27Speaker 4: The Republican Party needs to make a serious shift here.
- 1:31Speaker 4: And the first thing is the Republican Party Donald Trump.
- 1:38Speaker 4: People here at Fox quit complaining that she's not giving
- 1:41Speaker 4: an interview. You don't need an interview from Kamala Harris.
- 1:45Speaker 4: We need him to win. But you got to go
- 1:48Speaker 4: out and do the work. And the one thing Republicans
- 1:50Speaker 4: have to stop. Don't quit whining about her. I want
- 1:53Speaker 4: this campaign to win, but the campaign is not going
- 1:56Speaker 4: to win. Talking about crowd sizes, it's not going to win.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Talking about what race Kamala Harris is, it's not going
- 2:02Speaker 4: to win. Talking about whether she's dumb, it's not. You
- 2:05Speaker 4: can't win on those things. The American people are smart.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Treat them like they're smart.
- 2:10Speaker 2: She was right on all of the last several points.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That first point, pressuring Kamala to do a debate or
- 2:17Speaker 2: an interview or a press conference, that is.
- 2:19Speaker 1: A good strategy. Absolutely wrong about that. But crowd size, nicknames, race, come.
- 2:24Speaker 2: On, Oh, it's worse than a waste of time. Here's
- 2:28Speaker 2: Kevin McCarthy.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You've got to make this race not on personalities. Stop
- 2:32Speaker 1: questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Kelly Anne Conway, the winning formula for President Trump is
- 2:41Speaker 5: very plain to see.
- 2:41Speaker 3: It's fewer insults, more insights, and that policy contrast.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And Jonah Goldberg with a kind of tangential objection.
- 2:50Speaker 3: To be chumming with Elon Musk, who's the only major
- 2:53Speaker 3: car manufacturer in the country that is not unionized and
- 2:55Speaker 3: has very anti union feelings, some of which I sympathize with,
- 2:59Speaker 3: is just not a great signaling from Donald Trump. And
- 3:03Speaker 3: so I think the Dunocrats were smart disease on this,
- 3:06Speaker 3: and it was a silly thing to do the Twitter
- 3:08Speaker 3: interview or ex interview in the first one.
- 3:11Speaker 1: So we got a text that said, this is a
- 3:16Speaker 1: pretty good idea. Trump should have a large video screen
- 3:18Speaker 1: next to him at every rally and ask Kamala questions
- 3:22Speaker 1: that she answered years ago.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Oh that's a brilliant idea.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, what's your Hey, Kamala, what's your since you won't
- 3:28Speaker 1: do any interviews all interview for hey Kamala, what is
- 3:31Speaker 1: your stance on insurance for illegals? And then have her
- 3:34Speaker 1: answer and you can do that with the budget. How
- 3:37Speaker 1: do you feel I think we should be energy independent.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But and we can be with fracking, But how do
- 3:41Speaker 1: you feel about fracking? And I mean, how would that
- 3:44Speaker 1: not force her to come out and explain her change
- 3:48Speaker 1: in positions or go back to old positions or I
- 3:50Speaker 1: don't know what she's gonna do.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You gotta hammer that, absolutely hammer it. That's a brilliant idea.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot better than complaining about crowd sizes
- 3:58Speaker 1: and that sort of stuff. And then one this is
- 3:59Speaker 1: for I'm a Democrat in the Wall Street Journal today
- 4:02Speaker 1: writing an opinion piece. But Bill Galston, if Trump wants
- 4:05Speaker 1: to contend seriously, he will stop challenging miss Harris's racial identity,
- 4:09Speaker 1: calling her dumb and searching for a devastating nickname. I
- 4:11Speaker 1: would also say and stop talking about crowd size. If
- 4:14Speaker 1: he doesn't have the discipline to stop doing that, she
- 4:17Speaker 1: will make history of November fifth. I think it is
- 4:20Speaker 1: now that simple of a presidential race. The issues are
- 4:24Speaker 1: on his side. If he had aged seventy eight, can
- 4:29Speaker 1: go out there and not be butt hurt about crowd
- 4:32Speaker 1: sizes or January sixth or whatever the hell he can win.
- 4:36Speaker 2: In twenty twenty. But if he's Brian Kemp. But if
- 4:40Speaker 2: he can't.
- 4:41Speaker 1: He won't win. It might be just that simple.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Nikki Haley went on to say Republicans need
- 4:48Speaker 2: to be fighting for suburban women, college educated voters, for independence,
- 4:51Speaker 2: for moderate Republicans, and for conservative Democrats. You can't just
- 4:55Speaker 2: keep doubling down to appeal on the voters who make
- 4:58Speaker 2: up the MAGA movement. That's just a question of mathematics. Yeah.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Who is this? Noah Rothman the National Review, agreeing, if
- 5:07Speaker 2: it's about the issues, you win going away. I mean,
- 5:10Speaker 2: because the who gets who do you prefer on this issue,
- 5:14Speaker 2: that issue, that issue. The numbers have shifted significantly in
- 5:18Speaker 2: Kamala's direction. Remember when Trump had like a fifty point
- 5:22Speaker 2: advantage on the border over Biden. A lot of those
- 5:25Speaker 2: numbers have changed. But that is the point of making
- 5:27Speaker 2: your answer questions. When her positions become clear again and
- 5:32Speaker 2: or her complete inability to articulate them, those numbers will
- 5:35Speaker 2: get much more healthy for Trump again. But it's got
- 5:38Speaker 2: to be about the issues, and everybody knows it. And
- 5:41Speaker 2: everyone knows it. Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Mark Alpern's reporting over the weekend was when Trump came
- 5:45Speaker 1: out to do big fundraising thing swinging the West coast
- 5:50Speaker 1: a lot of the big donors were horrified that in
- 5:54Speaker 1: those closed door meetings he was ranting about crowd size
- 5:58Speaker 1: and that sort of stuff. They're just, you gotta be
- 6:00Speaker 1: kidding me. It is amazing. It's an interesting personality trait
- 6:06Speaker 1: that multiple people can tell you, hey, that's not it,
- 6:10Speaker 1: don't go with that, but you ignore them, which has
- 6:15Speaker 1: worked throughout his life. I'm sure he got all kinds
- 6:18Speaker 1: of advice on how to do a TV show from
- 6:20Speaker 1: people that had never had a hit TV show and
- 6:22Speaker 1: ignored him and had the number one show in the
- 6:24Speaker 1: country with The Apprentice, and similar with politics. But i mean, come,
- 6:27Speaker 1: this one's pretty obvious. Nobody freaking cares about the crowd
- 6:31Speaker 1: size for you versus Gamala.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Yes, Michael, I know Trump's always been a character. Is
- 6:36Speaker 5: it possible that this is an age thing creeping in?
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's what a lot of people wonder.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It's not inconceivable. Here's here's a bit of a devil's
- 6:47Speaker 2: advocate question for you. Is there anybody in his inner
- 6:51Speaker 2: circles outer circle? JD Evance, Eric Trump, anybody saying let's
- 6:57Speaker 2: keep hammering on the fact that she's exaggerating crowd sizes.
- 7:01Speaker 2: We got to keep workshop and devastating nicknames for her,
- 7:05Speaker 2: and yeah, let's let's just really go with she's stupid.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I think that's how we win the election in November.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Is there anybody advocating that.
- 7:13Speaker 1: If there is, fire them now?
- 7:15Speaker 2: Yes?
- 7:15Speaker 1: Does anybody know what Kamabla is? That's what he calls
- 7:18Speaker 1: her and when he posts.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Well, all I can do is guess And I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Is it blah is in blah blah? But there's no
- 7:27Speaker 1: h on it?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, I don't know, And I don't want to
- 7:33Speaker 2: spend any time thinking about it because it's a good
- 7:36Speaker 2: way to get Democrats elected and ruin the country.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Boy, that interview her on stage with her answers is
- 7:47Speaker 1: a great idea.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Every single flip flop that she is now notorious for
- 7:53Speaker 2: the ones we mentioned, there are several more too.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Well, I think you just have her original answer and
- 7:58Speaker 1: then make us what I'm saying. Yeah, make her come
- 8:01Speaker 1: out and say that no, that's not what I think anymore.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And with that, yeah, hammer it all over and over
- 8:08Speaker 2: and over again, say I think she still believes this stuff?
- 8:11Speaker 2: She well, she hasn't come out and explained that she doesn't.
- 8:13Speaker 2: So Yep, this is what Kamala Harris believes hammer the
- 8:17Speaker 2: shit out of that. Do you think Trump till she
- 8:20Speaker 2: emerges from her cocoon and makes an ass of herself?
- 8:23Speaker 5: Do you think Trump is just going out and doing
- 8:26Speaker 5: his own thing? In other words, he may be getting
- 8:28Speaker 5: this good advice and he's just ignoring it.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what people who've worked for him say. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: think he's been doing his own thing his whole life,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and it's worked pretty freaking well for him, so I
- 8:36Speaker 1: can see why he continues to follow his gut.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Sorry I made you believe that, Hanson, I apologize.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think you enjoy dropping s bombs, so.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I really do.
- 8:47Speaker 4: I do.
- 8:48Speaker 2: It's very satisfying.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Did you see the glee in his eyes? Language seasoning?
- 8:55Speaker 1: I enjoy it as well. I enjoyed it. Yeah, I
- 8:57Speaker 1: like it, except you almost did it on the air.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You know. It's a pleast. He saves it for the podcast.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, what she said, maniac?
- 9:06Speaker 5: Well, I guess that's it.
