- 0:00Speaker 1: News breaks out in every show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Mark Simone on 710WOR.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Well, Howie Carr, one of the very best talk show
- 0:10Speaker 1: hosts in America. Also, you can hear him on iHeart.
- 0:13Speaker 1: You can get his show, his podcast. Just go to iHeart.
- 0:16Speaker 1: He's a best-selling author. Great books. The latest is Mass Corruption,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Volume 2. You can get his column, the books, the show.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Everything's at HowieCarrShow.com. HowieCarrShow.com. Howie Carr, how are you doing?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Very good. Very good. I'm enjoying this Alaska situation. It's
- 0:39Speaker 2: pretty funny. We have a long track record of this
- 0:43Speaker 2: stuff in Massachusetts, as you probably know. We had a
- 0:48Speaker 2: president named John F. Kennedy. Yeah. You've heard of the guy, right? Yeah.
- 0:53Speaker 2: When he was senator, this guy, he worked in the
- 0:57Speaker 2: stock room at the Gillette Razor Factory in South Boston.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He said, you know, I could win statewide office because
- 1:04Speaker 2: my name is John F. Kennedy. And he did. Three times.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Never spent a dime. Just got elected time after time
- 1:12Speaker 2: because his name was John F. Kennedy. He was finally
- 1:15Speaker 2: term limited out in 1960 and he said, hey, I
- 1:19Speaker 2: got elected treasurer statewide. I'll get elected governor. But That
- 1:23Speaker 2: was the same year JFK, the other JFK, was running
- 1:26Speaker 2: for president. And he lost. So I think the lesson here, Mark,
- 1:30Speaker 2: is you can pull this kind of stuff off with
- 1:33Speaker 2: these candidates at lower-level offices, even if it's a statewide office,
- 1:37Speaker 2: but you can't go beyond a certain level. And I
- 1:42Speaker 2: think that was Mary Pelpo's offense. You know, that was
- 1:46Speaker 2: her problem. She went a little too high. It wasn't
- 1:49Speaker 2: going to work ever. Yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Well, she found another guy named Dan Sullivan. Now, if
- 1:54Speaker 1: Republicans wanted to try this, how did they find a
- 1:57Speaker 1: guy named Muhammad Abdul El-Sayed? That's not that easy to
- 2:00Speaker 1: find another one with that name.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Well, you know, you can change your name. People have
- 2:06Speaker 2: been known to do that, too. You know, that's another
- 2:09Speaker 2: thing in Boston. There were a lot of Irish guys
- 2:11Speaker 2: named Foley. And this guy, I think his name was
- 2:15Speaker 2: William Entraversoda. He was an Italian guy. This was in
- 2:18Speaker 2: the 50s. So he said, all these Foley guys are
- 2:20Speaker 2: getting elected. So he changed his name to William Entraversoda Foley.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Didn't work. Again, didn't work. Just made him a laughingstock. But,
- 2:30Speaker 2: you know, they gave it a shot. But I don't
- 2:33Speaker 2: think it's a crime. But, you know. You know, the
- 2:36Speaker 2: thing is, did you see that the Democrat candidate, they've
- 2:41Speaker 2: got a tape of her a few months back saying,
- 2:43Speaker 2: politicians who lie should be put in jail. I don't
- 2:47Speaker 2: think that's aged very well for her, considering how many
- 2:51Speaker 2: lies she's told about this guy.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Although Alan Dershowitz looked at all this. He said it's
- 2:55Speaker 1: definitely fraud. You could prosecute somebody for this. It's out-and-out
- 2:59Speaker 1: fraud on the voters.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, but where's the statute that says you can't commit
- 3:05Speaker 2: fraud on the voters? I hate to go against Alan Dershowitz,
- 3:13Speaker 2: Professor Dershowitz, but I don't know. I think it's pretty
- 3:16Speaker 2: hard to prosecute that one.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Hey, speaking of Kennedy, you wrote the best books on JFK.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You've written the best books on the Kennedy family. There
- 3:26Speaker 1: was talk about the bringing back the White House swimming pool.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Trump said absolutely not because he doesn't swim. The last
- 3:33Speaker 1: president who really used that pool was JFK. Tell everybody
- 3:36Speaker 1: what JFK used that pool for.
- 3:38Speaker 2: He had these two young women. They called them Fiddle
- 3:44Speaker 2: and Faddle. They were secretaries. And so Joe Kennedy, his father,
- 3:49Speaker 2: gave him a present as he was inaugurated. They built
- 3:53Speaker 2: the pool at the White House. and he would go
- 3:56Speaker 2: down there with fiddle and saddle and they would, they
- 3:59Speaker 2: would swim food during the, uh, during the lunch break. And, uh,
- 4:04Speaker 2: and that's what they, and he brought down, he had a,
- 4:06Speaker 2: he had one of his aides, this old time guy
- 4:08Speaker 2: from Charlestown, uh, Boston. And, uh, he, he, he had,
- 4:13Speaker 2: he instructed fiddle to get her a paddle to give,
- 4:16Speaker 2: give him a, uh, a, a, a Lewinsky shall we
- 4:19Speaker 2: say at the pool. I have a picture in Kennedy
- 4:23Speaker 2: Babylon of, uh, of Caroline Kennedy, uh, posing with this guy.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I think his name was Dave powers. I forget.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Dave powers.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they were, they were, I say they were remembering
- 4:33Speaker 2: the good old days of fiddle and paddle down by
- 4:35Speaker 2: down at the pool. And, uh, yeah, they, they actually, uh,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I mean, I got lots of pictures of fiddle and
- 4:42Speaker 2: paddle and Kennedy and Kennedy Babylon. I think it's volume one.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I put him at, I got two volumes, but it's
- 4:47Speaker 2: in volume. I think it's in volume one. Yeah, they
- 4:52Speaker 2: actually did a story in the Hearst Sunday publication at
- 4:56Speaker 2: the time about Fiddle and Faddle and some of the
- 5:00Speaker 2: White House beauties are working on the staff for JFK. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 2: they're working all right. They're working. Yes, indeed they are.
- 5:08Speaker 2: And then you know what happened to the pool, right?
- 5:11Speaker 2: When Nixon got in, he knew what was going on
- 5:14Speaker 2: in that pool. Andrew Hoover told him. He made it
- 5:18Speaker 2: into a bowling alley.
- 5:22Speaker 1: So Donald Trump has an assistant named Natalie Harp who
- 5:25Speaker 1: works her tail off, you know. Right.
- 5:28Speaker 2: She's always sending stuff. I'm sure you're getting the text
- 5:31Speaker 2: just like I am. She's always sending out texts. Check
- 5:34Speaker 2: out President Trump's Truth Social. That's what she does. That's
- 5:38Speaker 2: her job.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but why is she? Why is Natalie Harp always around?
- 5:41Speaker 1: So how come there was no fiddle-faddle coverage by the media?
- 5:45Speaker 1: How come they didn't do that story?
- 5:47Speaker 2: There was fiddle. I told you. They got a nice
- 5:49Speaker 2: puff piece there. Oh, apparently one of them was on
- 5:54Speaker 2: the plane to Dallas and had to go back on
- 5:58Speaker 2: the plane with the body and Jackie Kennedy. I mean,
- 6:01Speaker 2: these are the stories you never heard until decades and
- 6:06Speaker 2: decades later. Yeah.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But between this fiddle and faddle and Judith Exner and
- 6:11Speaker 1: Marilyn Monroe, if you ask those old time reporters, they'd say, well,
- 6:14Speaker 1: it was a different era. Is it just simply because
- 6:16Speaker 1: he was a Democrat? Had that been Nixon, they would
- 6:19Speaker 1: have exposed that in a second, wouldn't they?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think it was. JFK was married before
- 6:26Speaker 2: Jacqueline Kennedy. He got married in Palm Beach. And JFK,
- 6:32Speaker 2: Joe Kennedy, his father, went in and had all the
- 6:34Speaker 2: documents lifted out of town hall in Palm Beach. And
- 6:40Speaker 2: then JFK, the woman lived in Palm Beach, his first
- 6:45Speaker 2: marriage to a divorced Protestant woman. And she lived in
- 6:49Speaker 2: Palm Beach. And one day at the Everglades Club, he
- 6:51Speaker 2: and Ben Bradley, the then soon-to-be Nixon exposure in Watergate,
- 6:57Speaker 2: they were playing golf at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach,
- 7:03Speaker 2: right in the middle of town. And JFK, President Kennedy,
- 7:08Speaker 2: introduced Ben Bradley to his first wife. Didn't say it
- 7:13Speaker 2: was his first wife, obviously, but he introduced her. I mean,
- 7:16Speaker 2: Ben Bradley put that in his... in his memoirs. Wow.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Well, if you want more of this, that's how old
- 7:23Speaker 1: they were. Uh, if you want more of this, get
- 7:25Speaker 1: Howie Carr's books, Kennedy Babylon, volume one, volume two, amazing
- 7:29Speaker 1: stuff in there.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, I don't know. I don't know if it's
- 7:33Speaker 2: back on Amazon yet, but it soon will be. They're just,
- 7:36Speaker 2: they're toying with me, uh, Mark, but it'll, it'll Kennedy
- 7:38Speaker 2: Babylon volumes one and two. You can actually, you can
- 7:41Speaker 2: buy it at Howie Carr show.com. I've still got it
- 7:43Speaker 2: in stock. Howie Carr show.com.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's got a million of these stories. Go get the book. HowieCarrShow.com.
- 7:50Speaker 1: What's going to happen in Maine? Susan Collins, she'll win
- 7:53Speaker 1: that race, won't she?
- 7:55Speaker 2: I think so. Six years ago, she was running against
- 7:58Speaker 2: a Democrat out of Central Casting, but she could speak
- 8:03Speaker 2: in complete sentences and wasn't a complete boob, and she
- 8:06Speaker 2: wasn't married to her cousin. She was ahead in the
- 8:09Speaker 2: polls by like seven points at the end, and Collins
- 8:13Speaker 2: ended up winning by nine. I got to think, you know,
- 8:18Speaker 2: this is going to be the same kind of situation.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Did you see Plattner yesterday? The New York Post caught him,
- 8:24Speaker 2: you know, and took pictures of him. And he's going,
- 8:28Speaker 2: you people from away don't understand what it's like for
- 8:32Speaker 2: us people down east. Again, this guy went to Hotchkiss.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That makes St. Paul's, where John Kerry went, look like
- 8:41Speaker 2: a technical high school in the Bronx. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Hey, Obama, speaking of elitists, Obama doesn't seem to realize
- 8:50Speaker 1: what Cheesecake Factory means to most Americans. I know.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I know. But obviously someone told him that he really
- 9:00Speaker 2: stepped on it, stepped in it. Because I guess last
- 9:03Speaker 2: night in Georgia, he was just going on and on.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That's all Scott Bess and Scott to do is to do.
- 9:08Speaker 2: He's not worried about affordability and the price of gas.
- 9:11Speaker 2: He's doing a press conference outside the Cheesecake Factory. You know, Mark,
- 9:17Speaker 2: me thinks Obama doth protest too much, right?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, Howie Carr, great as always. Hey, everybody listen
- 9:24Speaker 1: to his show or his podcast. You go to iHeart,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you can get it there. You can get his books,
- 9:28Speaker 1: the show. You can get everything at HowieCarrShow.com. Get his

- 9:39Speaker 1: Howie Carr, thanks for being with us.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Thanks a lot, Mark. I appreciate it. Bye-bye.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, don't forget at noon, you're going to
- 9:46Speaker 1: get Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. You'll have two hosts
- 9:49Speaker 1: for The Price of One. It's a great show. Three o'clock,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you've got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 9:55Speaker 1: Sean Hannity. You got Jesse Kelly at six. You got
- 9:58Speaker 1: the very funny Jimmy Fela, nine to midnight. And now
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm here three hours every day, 9 a.m. till noon,
- 10:06Speaker 1: nine to noon every day. And then in the morning,
- 10:09Speaker 1: just before me, six to nine, you got Curtis Lewa,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Larry Menti here on 710WOR.
