Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to Inside the Bus. This is episode twenty two.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We were missing a couple of the guys, but we've
- 0:06Speaker 1: also added a special guest. Please put your hands together
- 0:10Speaker 1: for the very talented, the very handsome, the very charismatic
- 0:14Speaker 1: Kristin Thompson.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Everybody, thank you for having me on. Boys.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Wait a minute, that name sounds for me even.
- 0:24Speaker 1: To this day, for how long I've known you, When
- 0:26Speaker 1: I say your name out loud, I still feel like
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm not saying it right.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Because Tristan Thompson.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Right, I've really gotten it ever since freshman year at
- 0:35Speaker 2: the University of Texas because he played ball there, and
- 0:38Speaker 2: so like I've just I've got it NonStop, like just
- 0:42Speaker 2: like ever since. And the funniest story I have is
- 0:47Speaker 2: I was doing this film Sweet Dreams. It's directed by
- 0:52Speaker 2: Live Stark and had like THEO and Bobby and Giant
- 0:56Speaker 2: Knoxville and all those boys, and Gata from Day was
- 1:00Speaker 2: in like the chailer right next to me. And I
- 1:04Speaker 2: remember Gata was like he was he was like, oh shit,
- 1:07Speaker 2: so you're Tristan tom saying, and I was like, god yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 2: and He's like, man, I call my manager, bro. I
- 1:12Speaker 2: thought it was fucking He was like, I thought it
- 1:14Speaker 2: was a real Tristan tom saying and I was like, nah, dude,
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm white and five eleven.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Know.
- 1:21Speaker 2: He's like, no, it's cool now, I know it's you.
- 1:24Speaker 2: I was like, mad love, mad love. That was hilarious.
- 1:27Speaker 2: But shout out to Gata man, he's a man.
- 1:28Speaker 5: What fun cast?
- 1:30Speaker 6: Seriously, when when was that?
- 1:31Speaker 2: What year was that? So I think we shot that
- 1:34Speaker 2: in like twenty three, but it came out in twenty four?
- 1:38Speaker 6: Got you?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:39Speaker 6: Yeah, so two years ago? Was that your first big
- 1:43Speaker 6: it was?
- 1:44Speaker 2: It was crazy man.
- 1:46Speaker 1: To give a little context to Trician is an actor,
- 1:48Speaker 1: Tristan lives in California. Tristan is visiting Nashville right now,
- 1:51Speaker 1: hanging out with the fellows. So we're gonna dive into
- 1:54Speaker 1: a little bit of what it is like to be
- 1:56Speaker 1: in the life of an actor, and because that we're
- 2:00Speaker 1: on the other side of the camera and obviously we
- 2:01Speaker 1: do a different kind of production. But I'm very interested
- 2:04Speaker 1: to hear the ins and out. So now that you
- 2:07Speaker 1: guys have the full context.
- 2:08Speaker 6: I'm like, so, yeah, just Tristan Thompson also lives in
- 2:12Speaker 6: LA I think.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yes, I bet.
- 2:16Speaker 5: You could call and get reservations at place and they'd
- 2:18Speaker 5: be like clear clear.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Oh yo, dude, Okay. So one time, uh me and
- 2:24Speaker 2: uh me and my ex girlfriend were going to this
- 2:27Speaker 2: uh what you we call it. We're going to Carusos
- 2:30Speaker 2: down in Santa Barbara. It's just like nice kind of restaurant.
- 2:33Speaker 2: And uh I walk up. I was like, hey, reservation
- 2:36Speaker 2: for Tristan Thompson, right, and I just remember she's the hostess,
- 2:39Speaker 2: looks at me and just like the fear in her eyes,
- 2:42Speaker 2: like her heart just dropped. She's uh one second police
- 2:46Speaker 2: and then she radios in, like walks away a few
- 2:49Speaker 2: steps radios in.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Did you know what was going down at this point?
- 2:52Speaker 2: I kind of was like, yeah, yeah, I see, I see.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I see people flying out the back of the restaurant
- 2:58Speaker 2: to like move like like just like just like this
- 3:01Speaker 2: one table that was in like the dead center of
- 3:03Speaker 2: his place. She's thought he's gonna be there with like
- 3:05Speaker 2: Klay Kardashian. So like I see people just like flying
- 3:09Speaker 2: around moving. But and I just remember sitting there. We
- 3:12Speaker 2: were both just like laughing about it, and it's like, ah, yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 2: you know it's different, a little surprise, and you see
- 3:16Speaker 2: like this little California.
- 3:18Speaker 4: White Kid's gonna be twenty minutes.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Actually, now that's actually sorry, we're all full. I knew
- 3:25Speaker 2: you had a reservation, but yeah, no, no, no chance.
- 3:28Speaker 5: But yeah, back to JP's question, Sweet Dreams, was that
- 3:31Speaker 5: your first like big project that you got to work
- 3:34Speaker 5: on and be a part of.
- 3:35Speaker 2: So the first big projects I had gotten to work
- 3:38Speaker 2: on was this movie called Deltopia, which Deltopia is this
- 3:43Speaker 2: party at a U see Santa Barbara that I think
- 3:46Speaker 2: still happens, but I think in like twenty eleven, the
- 3:50Speaker 2: directors went there and there's like this huge like Project
- 3:56Speaker 2: X type of like Swat team was involved, like college kids.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It's like just like throwing beers at the police and shit,
- 4:03Speaker 2: and there's like clips of it on YouTube where you
- 4:04Speaker 2: like see it, and it's like it's like still like
- 4:06Speaker 2: filmed on like an LG Chocolate or some shit. Dude,
- 4:09Speaker 2: right phone, yeah, right, shout out to the LGA Chocolates.
- 4:12Speaker 2: But and that was the first monologue I had where
- 4:17Speaker 2: that was like in like a SAG project and having
- 4:20Speaker 2: like the craziest thing. I think that as like if
- 4:24Speaker 2: you're like talking about like the acting experience, it's like
- 4:26Speaker 2: I'm sure being behind production is just how fucking quiet
- 4:30Speaker 2: it is. Like I was sitting there and I was like, okay, cool,
- 4:33Speaker 2: Like I've got all my lines memorized, We're good, and
- 4:36Speaker 2: then it is fucking dead silent. There's like sixty extras
- 4:41Speaker 2: because it's a big party scene. I'm working with like
- 4:44Speaker 2: these two like bigger like Netflix like girls that are
- 4:48Speaker 2: in the car and I'd met them earlier and they're
- 4:50Speaker 2: super sweet by like the director Mikey just the absolute
- 4:54Speaker 2: homie because that's Me's like, hey, so just messing with you,
- 4:56Speaker 2: but you're righty for the biggest moment of your life.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, I'm gonna get a vomit
- 5:01Speaker 2: behind this tree real quick.
- 5:03Speaker 5: For real. That has to be so nerracking. I mean, like,
- 5:07Speaker 5: I don't know if you know, but JP's an actor himself.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I had a monologue, uh monologue that was it
- 5:13Speaker 7: was like four words long, but you know, thirty takes.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Probably do you.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Want to give it?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Give it different coverage here, different coverage than give thee my.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Cousin's good at math mm hmm, oh time. Hopefully your
- 5:28Speaker 7: agent or you know, a director may be watching. That's
- 5:31Speaker 7: just that that was first try.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Well, you'll you can see it. I swear you'll notice
- 5:37Speaker 1: it probably before you leave Nashville. You might see it
- 5:39Speaker 1: if you're watching TV busting. We had a FanDuel commercial
- 5:42Speaker 1: that's on all national like sports channels and JP. They're
- 5:45Speaker 1: basically just trying to figure out how.
- 5:47Speaker 4: To cook up a parlay. Yeah, it's a space and
- 5:50Speaker 4: JP delivered it.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Man, I was nervous.
- 5:53Speaker 7: I was also an extra in a Taraja p Henson movie,
- 5:56Speaker 7: only my hairline was in it. It was what Men Want,
- 5:59Speaker 7: it was dinner. And the reason my face wasn't in
- 6:02Speaker 7: it is because I actually messed up and I was
- 6:05Speaker 7: supposed to get up, go to the bathroom whatever, and
- 6:07Speaker 7: come back in. And I got up and I'm standing
- 6:10Speaker 7: next to, you know, one of I don't know all
- 6:12Speaker 7: the terms of everybody behind the scenes, but I'm standing
- 6:14Speaker 7: next to one of them and he just looks over.
- 6:16Speaker 6: He goes, why are you still standing here? I was like,
- 6:18Speaker 6: He's like, bro. I was like, do I go now.
- 6:20Speaker 7: He's like, no, just wait, and he was like, if
- 6:23Speaker 7: it would have been in there, you would have you
- 6:24Speaker 7: would have seen your face in the movie.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Walked by, Oh how long was your?
- 6:28Speaker 8: Like?
- 6:28Speaker 4: Day on set two for.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Dude all day, just like ten to twelve hours. And
- 6:33Speaker 7: I just and in college, I was doing this thing
- 6:35Speaker 7: called Who's that Hairline? Where I'd take a photo of
- 6:37Speaker 7: people's hairlines and trail my Snapchat and I'm like, who's
- 6:39Speaker 7: that hairline? And so my hairline was in the movie,
- 6:44Speaker 7: and so I was kind.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Of my final episode. Enough about me, No, no, no, no.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I love hearing about it. It's I think it's to
- 6:51Speaker 2: add to like what the theme of what we were
- 6:53Speaker 2: talking about earlier is that like you kind of get
- 6:55Speaker 2: in there and it's a marathon, right, Like you're you've
- 6:59Speaker 2: got your and you've got all a lot of these
- 7:02Speaker 2: smaller roles. You've got like ten day or like you're
- 7:05Speaker 2: like six hours, like or the worst case, ten hours,
- 7:08Speaker 2: Like you're on set. You're there, and then you've got
- 7:11Speaker 2: like thirty seconds. You got like thirty seconds to just
- 7:15Speaker 2: absolutely do whatever you need to do to just crush it,
- 7:18Speaker 2: keep it going. And yeah, and then you just sit
- 7:21Speaker 2: there and you're like, dude, I feel like I'm fucking
- 7:23Speaker 2: I've been in like a library in college all fucking
- 7:26Speaker 2: day and you're like, I'm fucking zonkie. And then you
- 7:30Speaker 2: get up there and you're like, what was I supposed
- 7:32Speaker 2: to be again?
- 7:33Speaker 5: Dude, That's what I was about to say. It's like
- 7:35Speaker 5: waiting that long does it make it worse? Like do
- 7:38Speaker 5: you start doing the whole like unprepared? Oh crap, I
- 7:41Speaker 5: can't remember. I was gonna say, Okay, I got it again.
- 7:43Speaker 5: How much time do I have? You still got a
- 7:45Speaker 5: couple hours? Okay?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Uh?
- 7:47Speaker 5: Fuck?
- 7:47Speaker 2: Fuck?
- 7:48Speaker 5: Fuck pacing around? Or are you kind of like what
- 7:51Speaker 5: are you doing during those long days? Like are you
- 7:53Speaker 5: truly just chilling in your trailer?
- 7:55Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Sometimes I think it depends on I saw this. I
- 7:59Speaker 2: was watching this acts around Table where I think it
- 8:02Speaker 2: was like child Buff and like a few other like
- 8:06Speaker 2: Atom Driver, and they're all just talking about the homework
- 8:09Speaker 2: that you have to do before it and how well
- 8:11Speaker 2: prepared you are. Because I think it's like in any
- 8:14Speaker 2: like fun ish like chill work setting, and it's always
- 8:18Speaker 2: kind of a little bit like camp, right, it's really
- 8:20Speaker 2: easy to just be like instead of having like, it's
- 8:25Speaker 2: really easy just to like fuck around on set, you
- 8:28Speaker 2: know what I mean. You can go talk to whoever
- 8:30Speaker 2: you want or like you can just kind of like
- 8:32Speaker 2: if you're making friends and stuff, it feels like you're
- 8:34Speaker 2: at summer camp sometimes. But back to what Shi said,
- 8:38Speaker 2: He's like, it's just all about the homework, and you
- 8:40Speaker 2: have to come in like depending on how much time
- 8:43Speaker 2: you've had to prepare and like how many like hours
- 8:46Speaker 2: you've put into this character, and then that's when you're
- 8:51Speaker 2: able to like deliver something great while also still kind
- 8:54Speaker 2: of like hanging out on set having those like long
- 8:57Speaker 2: times where you're just like sitting either in your trailer
- 9:00Speaker 2: or like walking around and being able to do that.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It's just like in the fucking homework before all the
- 9:05Speaker 2: prep that you do, so that way, like you're not
- 9:07Speaker 2: sitting there and just being like the going on again,
- 9:12Speaker 2: it's just your time to shoot.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Did you have a stand in? I was just because
- 9:19Speaker 7: I don't like when I showed up to the thing.
- 9:21Speaker 7: I have no idea how any of making a movie goes.
- 9:24Speaker 7: And I'm just seeing these people that are paid to
- 9:26Speaker 7: just sit in the seats of the main actors, and
- 9:28Speaker 7: I'm like, yeah, would.
- 9:30Speaker 6: This y'all do this all day? You're getting higher rate
- 9:32Speaker 6: than me?
- 9:34Speaker 4: What is their job?
- 9:35Speaker 7: Like the sea warm It's like they're just around the
- 9:38Speaker 7: same height, same size, so they can get all the
- 9:39Speaker 7: camera shots right.
- 9:42Speaker 4: It's like like just like framing.
- 9:44Speaker 7: Right, they're keeping the stars likes just like make sure
- 9:48Speaker 7: they have as little work to do as possible when
- 9:50Speaker 7: they show up.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like it's like with it's like a union
- 9:53Speaker 2: thing as well, where like you have to like you
- 9:56Speaker 2: have like stand ins on the call sheet and like
- 9:58Speaker 2: you'll see there like like name is the next to it,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and you're just like, damn, that's wild. And yeah, no
- 10:03Speaker 2: I remember I I uh I where did I have
- 10:06Speaker 2: a stand in? Just look at him? Yeah, we had
- 10:09Speaker 2: a stand in, I remember, but like you didn't like
- 10:12Speaker 2: look like me or anything. I feel like I've been
- 10:14Speaker 2: in the more like still grateful and like moderate low
- 10:18Speaker 2: budget like indie film scenes that have like done well
- 10:21Speaker 2: and been able to be on like different streaming platforms
- 10:23Speaker 2: and stuff and so, but yeah, yeah, you'll have a
- 10:27Speaker 2: stand in come in, and sometimes it's someone who's also
- 10:29Speaker 2: on set and also like doing something else then also
- 10:31Speaker 2: kind of wearing that stand in hat on the call
- 10:33Speaker 2: shit too.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Just a couple of different hands. I was going to
- 10:37Speaker 3: go back to like the beginning, and that's what you do. Yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 3: how did you get into acting? Were you like a
- 10:42Speaker 3: theater kid in high school, Like, what what made you like, Okay,
- 10:45Speaker 3: I want to do that. Obviously. Everybody wants to be
- 10:47Speaker 3: a movie star. Everybody wants to be time cruising.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, right, You're like sitting there watching like that
- 10:51Speaker 2: Departed when you're like eleven years old, right, and you're
- 10:54Speaker 2: sitting there and you're like, Leo, dude, how do you
- 10:57Speaker 2: keep doing this? Why are you so cool? You're banging
- 11:00Speaker 2: Mark Wahlberg's wife. Yeah. Yeah, And so I think like
- 11:08Speaker 2: how I got started, man, was there's this girl in
- 11:10Speaker 2: my class who had an acting coach in Houston, and
- 11:14Speaker 2: I grew up in Beaumont, Texas, which is about an
- 11:16Speaker 2: hour and a half from Houston. You know David Reese,
- 11:18Speaker 2: David Reese. Yeah, yeah, I know David.
- 11:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I know from college.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah that's why, dude, David, David Reese my cousin. No way, Yeah, yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 2: shout out you, David. Shout at you, distant cousin. Like
- 11:33Speaker 2: our great great grand it's our great grandmothers are related,
- 11:37Speaker 2: and we like found that out in high school. And
- 11:39Speaker 2: so yeah, I was. David was a year below me.
- 11:42Speaker 2: His older brother William. Shout out to Reese. Absolutely, Jordan,
- 11:46Speaker 2: their dad, love you guys.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like talking to Texas is they are plugged in, right, yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 2: The others Oh yeah, yeah yeah that's I love that though, absolutely.
- 12:04Speaker 3: So.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah. So I saw my brother do this drama class
- 12:10Speaker 2: and he started going to this coach in Houston. And
- 12:12Speaker 2: I saw him like go to like, uh he was
- 12:15Speaker 2: in a drama class in high school and uh, this
- 12:18Speaker 2: one was about like fifth grade, and I saw him
- 12:20Speaker 2: do this like really emotional scene with this other girl
- 12:23Speaker 2: in front of like like forty people. It was like
- 12:25Speaker 2: an interesting thing where they had like, uh, try to
- 12:28Speaker 2: remember what the proper name for it is. It's like
- 12:30Speaker 2: taps drama, and like they do like a scene where
- 12:33Speaker 2: they're like a couple fighting and like they're like playing
- 12:36Speaker 2: pretend and stuff. And but I was like, I started
- 12:40Speaker 2: going to this coach in Houston after I saw that,
- 12:42Speaker 2: because like, damn, I saw my probably do that looks
- 12:44Speaker 2: dope as fuck. That's awesome. So I started going to
- 12:46Speaker 2: this coach and then she pointed me to another coach
- 12:49Speaker 2: like out in Los Angeles. And my cousins, my gand
- 12:52Speaker 2: uncle lived in San Diego. So on the summers, I
- 12:54Speaker 2: would go out with this other coach in Los Angeles
- 12:56Speaker 2: but I kind of got made fun of when I
- 12:58Speaker 2: did theater I in like fifth grade. I was like
- 13:01Speaker 2: not everyone was like the fuck are you doing? Like
- 13:03Speaker 2: you know Beaumont, Texas man, yeah dude, And I was
- 13:07Speaker 2: just yeah, literally no, yeah, literally like yeah, dude calling
- 13:15Speaker 2: you like just like just like fuck, You're like, dude,
- 13:17Speaker 2: that's fucking so lame, Like why the fuck are you
- 13:19Speaker 2: in theater? Like, and I was like in this play Aladdin,
- 13:22Speaker 2: and I was just like I'm gonna do this fucking
- 13:24Speaker 2: fun dude. Also also this girl have a crush on
- 13:27Speaker 2: and doing it too. I was like, I see the world, Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 2: percent right.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I was.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Showing me the world please in fifth grade.
- 13:35Speaker 3: No, so.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I started going to classes with her. Her name
- 13:40Speaker 2: is Mary Ferguson. She's just this amazing coach that really
- 13:43Speaker 2: believes in me. But then I kind of like started
- 13:46Speaker 2: going through phases where I was like, no, I'm getting
- 13:49Speaker 2: really better at tennis and I'm gonna spend all my
- 13:52Speaker 2: time playing tennis. And then I started playing soccer with
- 13:55Speaker 2: all the homies and I was just like because my
- 13:58Speaker 2: coach was like, you need to move to Los Angeles,
- 14:00Speaker 2: like right now, like you can take this as far
- 14:03Speaker 2: as you want. And I was like, yeah, but I
- 14:06Speaker 2: don't know what about about the boys? What about yeah exactly,
- 14:10Speaker 2: like what about state? What about soccer? What about what
- 14:12Speaker 2: about smoking weed and hanging out with my friends? You
- 14:14Speaker 2: know what I mean? And I was like, I love
- 14:16Speaker 2: my friends so much. It's like literally my wallpaper on
- 14:19Speaker 2: my phone is like my fucking childhood friends. I love
- 14:24Speaker 2: these boys and shout out, shout at Zach Hester, Willhelan,
- 14:28Speaker 2: Sean Reed love you and uh but yeah, so I think,
- 14:32Speaker 2: like I sorry going when I was going to these
- 14:35Speaker 2: classes and then I got like swept up at like
- 14:38Speaker 2: ut just like partying, almost flunking out University of Texas.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Hook Yeah, and then uh, it took me like a
- 14:47Speaker 2: long time to admit to myself what I wanted to do.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And I think that that's a lot of people in
- 14:55Speaker 2: this life where you have like I remember Steve Jobs
- 14:58Speaker 2: said this thing that he's like dreams, I'm in whispers, right,
- 15:02Speaker 2: and like they don't come loud, like they come in
- 15:04Speaker 2: the back of your head, and like it's just always
- 15:07Speaker 2: in the back of my head. I'd be like sitting
- 15:09Speaker 2: just like watching something and just being like ah, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: I feel like I just if I don't do this,
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna regret it for the rest of my life.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And so my sister and I when I was just
- 15:22Speaker 2: an absolute idiot freshman year, she helped me figure out
- 15:25Speaker 2: just some ways and like some like programs to volunteer for.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Then I started working at Austin Film Festival just like
- 15:31Speaker 2: boost up the resume, got into the UT Film School
- 15:34Speaker 2: and was on like more of the behind the camera
- 15:35Speaker 2: stuff and yeah, that's sick.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Yeah, man, I feel you said it. I mean that's
- 15:41Speaker 5: the hardest part is putting aside like your friends being like,
- 15:45Speaker 5: come on, dude, we don't do that. It's like yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 5: but like I kind of really want to do that
- 15:49Speaker 5: and try it because it looks fun. Yeah, at the
- 15:52Speaker 5: end of the day, like it's fun.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. I think like all all like
- 15:56Speaker 2: a lot of careers, and you know, whether it's any industry,
- 16:00Speaker 2: whether it's art or anything. I've like kind of recently
- 16:02Speaker 2: come to this like new conclusion and I'm sure everyone does.
- 16:06Speaker 2: But it's like you just like enter a flow state, right,
- 16:08Speaker 2: like whether you're like an accountant who's just a wizard
- 16:12Speaker 2: at numbers, and like it's just it's it's finding something
- 16:15Speaker 2: that like you feel that you're really great at you
- 16:18Speaker 2: believe in yourself and you're able to hit that flow state.
- 16:21Speaker 2: And that's where I feel like most at home is
- 16:24Speaker 2: in that like zone and that flow state with acting
- 16:26Speaker 2: and like being inside of the character and like taking
- 16:29Speaker 2: like my imagination and like trying to make it run
- 16:32Speaker 2: into this other level of this other thing.
- 16:34Speaker 6: For sure.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Anyways, while.
- 16:46Speaker 2: As a good deeper into the conversation, I'm just going
- 16:48Speaker 2: to keep wearing just more ridiculous ship.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Is there a moment like I don't know.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I I did a little couple of small time plays
- 16:56Speaker 1: in elementary school experience, But at what point do you
- 17:01Speaker 1: kind of find a confidence in yourself to be like
- 17:04Speaker 1: I can read you know, I can read these lines,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and like I can I can believe myself that I'm
- 17:10Speaker 1: portraying said character because I feel like it's hard, whether
- 17:13Speaker 1: it's your ego or like you know, the limitations of
- 17:16Speaker 1: your own self or your self conscious just behavior.
- 17:19Speaker 4: You're like, I don't know, does that make sense?
- 17:22Speaker 1: Like did you start believing that you were like I
- 17:25Speaker 1: can actually make a living out of this?
- 17:34Speaker 2: I think, like I think there's a point where so
- 17:40Speaker 2: throughout like this time of acting. You know, I'm in
- 17:43Speaker 2: classes with some like amazing coaches like Joshua Lebar and
- 17:48Speaker 2: Debora Dion and Halee Dion who like have like just
- 17:52Speaker 2: like taught me so many things about what you need
- 17:55Speaker 2: to do of like what going inside is and like
- 17:58Speaker 2: going inside your head and being able to like I
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't know, you'll see Westworld, you know when they like
- 18:02Speaker 2: cut the brain open, you like see the maze and
- 18:04Speaker 2: you're just like, holy shit, I kind of think about
- 18:07Speaker 2: it like that a little bit, Like you're like, okay,
- 18:09Speaker 2: like how can I like maneuver through this maze? And
- 18:13Speaker 2: then in a couple of classes, you like feel progress.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You know, like you're in the gym like shooting threes
- 18:19Speaker 2: and shit, and like you're not making you know, like
- 18:22Speaker 2: five out of ten anymore, you're making like eight out
- 18:24Speaker 2: of ten, and then you're making like nine out of ten.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Not saying fucking you know, Kobe or anything. I'm just
- 18:30Speaker 2: still trying to learn and not saying on Tristan Tomson
- 18:32Speaker 2: or anything. But you start feeling everywhere when you're like
- 18:36Speaker 2: really taking it seriously and you're in these classes and
- 18:39Speaker 2: you're like putting in this work and you're writing like
- 18:41Speaker 2: just like a fucking psychopath, writing like three pages of
- 18:45Speaker 2: just like notes of just all about what this character
- 18:49Speaker 2: does and like who he is and how they feel,
- 18:53Speaker 2: what they smell.
- 18:54Speaker 8: Like.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I always make a playlist listening to like what I
- 18:57Speaker 2: think they would listen to. Like this last movie, I
- 19:01Speaker 2: play this character Sean, who's just like only it is
- 19:04Speaker 2: just like this very high energy frat kid and he
- 19:10Speaker 2: only listens to just like Bob in three six Mafia
- 19:13Speaker 2: and like and but and so like getting into like
- 19:20Speaker 2: where you like really believe in yourself is in like
- 19:22Speaker 2: a couple of those classes and shit and like a
- 19:24Speaker 2: couple of the times that you like reach another bar
- 19:27Speaker 2: where you get to like play. There's this moment on
- 19:31Speaker 2: this movie Prey I did and A shifts on Hanglou
- 19:34Speaker 2: if anyone wants to watch it. Yeah, yeah, this movie Prey,
- 19:37Speaker 2: I got to work alongside with the legend Emil Hirsh
- 19:41Speaker 2: and him and I like have this scene where I
- 19:44Speaker 2: take a gun from him and him and I like
- 19:47Speaker 2: we're just like like it's just like a very dramatic scene.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I'm like screaming and like crying. We're trapped in the
- 19:54Speaker 2: desert for like thirty days or whatever, and I remember
- 19:59Speaker 2: like from the classes, you're like activating this like feeling.
- 20:04Speaker 2: It's just like this feeling inside your head where you're
- 20:06Speaker 2: just like kind of like walk away. And then you're
- 20:10Speaker 2: like you're done with the scene. Everyone's like kind of
- 20:12Speaker 2: like takes a break because it's like really intense, and
- 20:16Speaker 2: I like just went and sat down and I remember
- 20:19Speaker 2: this like this pa on set came out to me
- 20:21Speaker 2: and he just goes, hey, what was your name again?
- 20:23Speaker 2: I was like, Hey, Tristan Thompson And I was like, yo,
- 20:27Speaker 2: Tristan man, like I'm still just like kind of crying
- 20:29Speaker 2: and like shaking, and uh, He's like, idea, how did
- 20:33Speaker 2: you get into this? Like I just want to let
- 20:34Speaker 2: you know, like that was like really amazing. It was
- 20:36Speaker 2: just like this random kid that told me that. And
- 20:38Speaker 2: I remember being like, Yo, thank you so much, like
- 20:41Speaker 2: that fuck one that means the world too. I was like, damn,
- 20:45Speaker 2: like fuck I I've been training for this for like
- 20:48Speaker 2: a month and you like feel kind of like that
- 20:51Speaker 2: you like left it out out there on the field.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Valid.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but then you don't even get to see like
- 20:56Speaker 2: the work later until like a year. And I don't
- 20:58Speaker 2: even love watching myself. But like if once you know that,
- 21:01Speaker 2: like you hit that feeling in that flow state, and
- 21:03Speaker 2: you like did everything that you could do for the character,
- 21:05Speaker 2: you're just like all right, like fucking yeah, I think
- 21:08Speaker 2: I think, I think we can make this happen.
- 21:10Speaker 5: I'm sure in that process too, and you kind of
- 21:12Speaker 5: like alluded to it. But when you do set your
- 21:15Speaker 5: mind to like, all right, I want to try and
- 21:16Speaker 5: do this, and the more you're around like minded people
- 21:19Speaker 5: that kind of help you get to that point or
- 21:21Speaker 5: help you would practice those skills and those talents and
- 21:24Speaker 5: like lock in be able to get into character. Like
- 21:27Speaker 5: you said, like staying in that flow state and staying
- 21:29Speaker 5: surrounded by those people just help. And so I feel
- 21:32Speaker 5: like what you're saying by doing the classes living in
- 21:36Speaker 5: LA like you fully are like doing everything possible to
- 21:39Speaker 5: put yourself in the world of what you're wanting.
- 21:42Speaker 2: To do one hundred percent. And I think, like to
- 21:45Speaker 2: add on to piggyback, like the being around those like
- 21:48Speaker 2: minded people making sure you know everyone in the circle
- 21:51Speaker 2: is just like kind of on the same track. I'll
- 21:53Speaker 2: just never forget looking at a meal and shout out
- 21:56Speaker 2: to fucking a meal, just like because when you're doing
- 22:00Speaker 2: your changing your coverage like some usually the other actor
- 22:03Speaker 2: doesn't really have to like be there. He can just
- 22:05Speaker 2: like someone can like read with you or like give
- 22:07Speaker 2: you throwaway lines and like sometimes you're looking at like
- 22:09Speaker 2: a fucking piece of tape just like right there. And
- 22:13Speaker 2: but he was just giving me everything, dude, Like he
- 22:16Speaker 2: was just on the other side, like screaming with me,
- 22:18Speaker 2: matching the energy, like lifting me up, and it was
- 22:21Speaker 2: just like let's fucking go. And that was just something
- 22:24Speaker 2: that also, like you know, like I think the beautiful
- 22:27Speaker 2: part about life is that like you bring shit out
- 22:29Speaker 2: of each other, you know, you bring like the best
- 22:30Speaker 2: out of each other. And that was what was so dope.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Yeah, that's cool. For Sweet Dreams, Uh, what like what's
- 22:40Speaker 5: the process like for that movie specifically? I guess when
- 22:43Speaker 5: it's like okay, do you get script sent to you? Like,
- 22:47Speaker 5: how does the process go where you're like, Okay, this
- 22:49Speaker 5: job's available, I want to audition for this.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, right, And so I'm very fortunate to like be
- 22:56Speaker 2: connected with just like a group of producers who have
- 22:59Speaker 2: like kind of like kept me just like around. There
- 23:02Speaker 2: was like this dude who just kind of hit me
- 23:04Speaker 2: with an email and was like, hey, there's this part,
- 23:06Speaker 2: you know, like I want to know if you like
- 23:08Speaker 2: want to do this like a little read for it.
- 23:10Speaker 2: It's like and basically the part is just like you're
- 23:13Speaker 2: playing on this baseball team. There's like a few lines
- 23:16Speaker 2: here and there, and especially in like the indie world,
- 23:19Speaker 2: I feel like everything's very like everything's happening day of
- 23:23Speaker 2: and like you get a script, you read the script,
- 23:25Speaker 2: you know, you audition for the role, and then like
- 23:27Speaker 2: you get your sides the day before and it could
- 23:30Speaker 2: be like different scenes from the different script as like,
- 23:33Speaker 2: because it's just like everything's so malleable in that way.
- 23:36Speaker 2: But after I got the news, I was like, oh, baseball, Yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 2: for sure. I played fucking or select baseball growing up
- 23:42Speaker 2: and like travel ball, like all day baseball. You can
- 23:45Speaker 2: Pasadena on Sundays. Dude, go d MT Tigers. Baby Yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 2: and uh but yeah, And so man Bo Mitchell was
- 23:57Speaker 2: in that movie. He's one of like may actor and
- 24:01Speaker 2: human being. He was in this movie called The Line
- 24:03Speaker 2: on Hulu, which was an incredible film with alex Or
- 24:07Speaker 2: nat Wolf. One of those guys, and but he's also
- 24:11Speaker 2: the blonde haired kid and he's found him down and uh,
- 24:16Speaker 2: just what's up. No, you're good, you're good.
- 24:19Speaker 8: The first scene where Danny McBride goes, uh, they're talking
- 24:23Speaker 8: about you named your daughter Rose, you know, wouldn't name
- 24:25Speaker 8: this kid Shrek and.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah that's Bo. That's Bo. And man, like,
- 24:32Speaker 2: I learned a lot about just like I learned so
- 24:37Speaker 2: much just about like comedic timing because you're like it's
- 24:40Speaker 2: like there's you know, you're working with these superstars, right,
- 24:44Speaker 2: and like these guys are just like they I'll turn
- 24:46Speaker 2: it off, man like, they're just it's it's just so natural.
- 24:50Speaker 2: And I know y'all have all met, like you know,
- 24:52Speaker 2: just a lot of those guys in the Hemisphere and
- 24:54Speaker 2: the same dudes too, and that, like and you're sitting
- 24:57Speaker 2: there and like someone will like make joke at you,
- 25:00Speaker 2: like in character, and then I remember just being like yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 2: and your mom's fucking fat, and then I was like, fuck,
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'm like twenty seconds too late and no, And so
- 25:12Speaker 2: it helped me learn so much more about comedy and
- 25:14Speaker 2: just ship like that where like you like want to
- 25:16Speaker 2: it's like giving yourself permission to like have fun and
- 25:20Speaker 2: like being able to like have that banter and have
- 25:23Speaker 2: that like timing and ship.
- 25:25Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Johnny Knoxville, you know, dude, Johnny or the man so
- 25:35Speaker 2: on our team, Uh Johnny, like you know, everyone's like
- 25:38Speaker 2: kind of warming up throwing the ball around, and uh,
- 25:41Speaker 2: Johnny just always walk up and be like, hey, tee,
- 25:43Speaker 2: let's go throw the ball. And I'd be like, fuck,
- 25:45Speaker 2: hell yees, dude, and uh and so yeah, dude, so
- 25:51Speaker 2: you just like go down the line, like past first
- 25:54Speaker 2: base while all the cameras getting set up and we're
- 25:56Speaker 2: all on set, and uh, dude, we just throw the
- 25:58Speaker 2: ball and hang out and just talk about like we
- 26:02Speaker 2: just talked about high school baseball and just playing high
- 26:04Speaker 2: school baseball and like what and like because he he
- 26:07Speaker 2: was a pitcher and played a lot of baseball growing
- 26:10Speaker 2: up and uh, and we were just talking about like
- 26:13Speaker 2: just like the different games that we remembered. I remember,
- 26:15Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I like when we played this
- 26:18Speaker 2: school in Houston where Craig Video's son was playing, and
- 26:21Speaker 2: I'll never forget this. Dude was just throwing fucking nasty
- 26:24Speaker 2: curveballs and we were just exchanging stories like that and
- 26:27Speaker 2: yeah that's.
- 26:28Speaker 6: That's who had the better stories, who was the better player, dude?
- 26:31Speaker 2: Johnny and Johnny was kind of a beast. A beast.
- 26:34Speaker 2: But actually going back to the acting thing of like
- 26:36Speaker 2: what it was like to prepare for certain roles. I
- 26:40Speaker 2: just watching Johnny because he had a lot of emotional
- 26:43Speaker 2: scenes and in the movie he crushes it and he
- 26:47Speaker 2: uh goes deeper into like he just starts walking around.
- 26:51Speaker 2: He's got headphones in and he's just like doing his pace.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And he said he was in like a competition with
- 26:57Speaker 2: his wife, so like you can get the most steps
- 26:59Speaker 2: on like their fitbit or an Apple watch or whatever.
- 27:02Speaker 2: And but like before emotional scenes, he would just like
- 27:06Speaker 2: you just go to take like twenty minutes and just
- 27:08Speaker 2: like just lock into whatever he was listening to and
- 27:12Speaker 2: just kind of like go be in his own zone.
- 27:15Speaker 2: And because going back to like how sets like a camp, right,
- 27:18Speaker 2: you can just it's so easy, but like you have
- 27:21Speaker 2: to when you have something intense and emotional, like I
- 27:24Speaker 2: think in the film he uh he's trying to get
- 27:27Speaker 2: like custody back of his daughter and he uh like
- 27:31Speaker 2: and it's like a very intense moment like that where
- 27:33Speaker 2: he sees her at this baseball game, and uh, he
- 27:36Speaker 2: has to like and so he's just walking off house
- 27:38Speaker 2: in there, and I was like, yeah, that's how you
- 27:39Speaker 2: that's that's how you do it. Yeah. Yeah, you gotta
- 27:41Speaker 2: go just go be in your own little world for
- 27:44Speaker 2: a little bit, like you like cause it's like a
- 27:47Speaker 2: otherwise you're a child actor that just can just snap
- 27:50Speaker 2: into character like that. But yeah, man, movies, like.
- 27:54Speaker 4: For instance right here, does it help her or does
- 27:58Speaker 4: it even matter if you play, like have pre experience
- 28:00Speaker 4: in baseball?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Like for actors, like there's gonna be actors who are
- 28:03Speaker 1: like throwing some some poor throws maybe, but does it
- 28:07Speaker 1: help your chances getting roles in that or is it
- 28:09Speaker 1: more just like oh nice, I like baseball.
- 28:12Speaker 3: This is cool.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think it's I think the vetting process,
- 28:18Speaker 2: like determining on how big the film is, is always interesting.
- 28:22Speaker 2: I think there's like so just I think the casting directors, right,
- 28:25Speaker 2: we'll find like like a lot of our team were
- 28:28Speaker 2: extras and then me and Bo and this other girl
- 28:32Speaker 2: Kelly shout out Kelly, she let me use her softball
- 28:34Speaker 2: glove love you, And a lot of these casting directors
- 28:39Speaker 2: are just like, hey, do you have any experience? You
- 28:41Speaker 2: do great? All right, and then like you look great
- 28:44Speaker 2: for the part you're in and at least as extras go,
- 28:47Speaker 2: and but like the vetting process is more just kind
- 28:50Speaker 2: of like over email and be like what's your experience.
- 28:53Speaker 2: That's your experience, all right, cool, Like we're trying to
- 28:55Speaker 2: they have like so much other stuff to worry about,
- 28:57Speaker 2: and just like hope that you come to say that
- 29:00Speaker 2: correct word.
- 29:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm watching Friday Night Lights right now, and like
- 29:04Speaker 3: the actor that plays Matt Sarason cannot throw football, especially
- 29:08Speaker 3: for the Dylan Panthers. It's like, what is happening right now?
- 29:11Speaker 5: So I'm like, it's piss and he knows the outcome.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like this you're telling me this guy just
- 29:17Speaker 3: threw a ball seventy yards and he throws it like that.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Yeah my ass, dude. So like that is a great
- 29:22Speaker 3: question because I'm like some of these people like they're
- 29:24Speaker 3: they're not athletic at all, and like they got these jobs,
- 29:26Speaker 3: but like they there's so much other shit that they're
- 29:28Speaker 3: worried about.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Then yeah, one hundred and then like the kind of
- 29:32Speaker 2: have to come up there, and like I was like,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I'm sure like putting on like a director's hat, you
- 29:35Speaker 2: have to be like cool, cool, cool, Well, we're here
- 29:37Speaker 2: on set and money is burning, so how can we
- 29:40Speaker 2: work around this shit? Like and but like, yeah, man,
- 29:44Speaker 2: that's like the part of that's like the part of
- 29:46Speaker 2: it that's when you see a lot of close ups.
- 29:48Speaker 5: And yeah, true.
- 29:49Speaker 2: But uh no, there's this one moment in the in
- 29:52Speaker 2: the movie. I remember I called my old baseball coach
- 29:54Speaker 2: shout out Jimmy Neil, and I was talking to him
- 29:58Speaker 2: about it, and uh, Johnny, I'm giving him so slow pitch,
- 30:02Speaker 2: but like warming up for the role. I'm like, in
- 30:05Speaker 2: my room, We've got like a stuffed like Pokemon ball.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I'm just like throwing it at a law dude, just
- 30:10Speaker 2: practicing the farm. And but it turns out to be
- 30:13Speaker 2: slow pitch, so you gotta throw that ship up in
- 30:14Speaker 2: the air. And uh but Johnny just fucking hits a
- 30:18Speaker 2: line drive like just like sixty miles an hour right
- 30:22Speaker 2: at my head, and I just I duck, and I duck,
- 30:25Speaker 2: and I was like, that was the coolest thing I've
- 30:27Speaker 2: ever done in my entire life. I was like, I
- 30:29Speaker 2: just duck that ship, and I called my baseball coach.
- 30:31Speaker 2: He goes, nah, that's he is. It would have been
- 30:33Speaker 2: way cooler if you caught it. But the worst part
- 30:37Speaker 2: about it is I remember the director came out. He's
- 30:38Speaker 2: like he's like, hey, h he was like cameras weren't
- 30:40Speaker 2: rolling and like someone just got chewed out.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, what is like the shooting out process?
- 30:49Speaker 2: Like how does that if you would say, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 2: I would I would never like whenever like like like
- 30:55Speaker 2: someone like got chewed out. It's more just being like, hey,
- 30:59Speaker 2: it's a lock it in. Yeah, it's not like what
- 31:03Speaker 2: the yeah, I think like with different sets, it's like
- 31:06Speaker 2: especially like you know, I think it's more about how
- 31:10Speaker 2: like you like treat people like I think everyone there
- 31:13Speaker 2: it's like long days. Everyone wants to be treated fine,
- 31:16Speaker 2: and if like you make a few mistakes here and there.
- 31:18Speaker 2: It's not like that viral Tom Cruise clip during COVID
- 31:20Speaker 2: when it was just like just like these are people's jobs.
- 31:27Speaker 7: You might have missed an audition opportunity. He might have
- 31:29Speaker 7: hit that ball back at you to see if you
- 31:30Speaker 7: could be a jackass.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, right. Take one, dude, did he start
- 31:36Speaker 2: this is like they agreed.
- 31:41Speaker 7: A minor question in the Giant Oxide world. Did he
- 31:44Speaker 7: just immediately start calling you t or did it work
- 31:46Speaker 7: from Tristan.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I think it just worked. It was like I think
- 31:50Speaker 2: it's just I don't even remember. It is a long
- 31:52Speaker 2: time ago too, and so I think I think it's
- 31:56Speaker 2: like we had like one we had a scene together
- 31:58Speaker 2: where him and I are talking to you each other
- 32:00Speaker 2: and then yeah it was cool man, and like we
- 32:04Speaker 2: met it like we did the blocking, met each other
- 32:06Speaker 2: at like six am, and then like go back earth lines,
- 32:10Speaker 2: come back out, rip it and uh but no, he
- 32:13Speaker 2: was an absolute homie. Like usually, like I was saying earlier,
- 32:16Speaker 2: you don't have to stand there for lines like and
- 32:18Speaker 2: someone else can feed him to you. But now he
- 32:20Speaker 2: was there just holding it down. And uh it's like
- 32:23Speaker 2: when you're leading the movie too, you know you want
- 32:25Speaker 2: to like help everyone out that you can.
- 32:27Speaker 5: For sure because it was his, it's his product, like
- 32:29Speaker 5: it was his project, right, yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 2: So it's uh live Sarki is a director and like
- 32:35Speaker 2: very involved in the like sober community, like out there
- 32:39Speaker 2: in Los Angeles, and so all these comedians are like
- 32:42Speaker 2: living in sober home and uh so Johnny is yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 2: yeah yeah, and so they're all in rehab right and
- 32:50Speaker 2: like you know, trying to get their lives together and whatnot,
- 32:53Speaker 2: and all just some like wacky funny character.
- 32:55Speaker 5: There are some funny moments in that house with them.
- 32:59Speaker 5: I mean, the group of people they picked for that
- 33:01Speaker 5: movie is so funny.
- 33:03Speaker 2: No, absolutely, man, it's just like it's a fucking blasting
- 33:06Speaker 2: to work with all those guys. Dude, there's.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I was gonna say, you were here last week running lines.
- 33:14Speaker 5: You don't have to say, what's for whatever, But it
- 33:18Speaker 5: was pretty cool to walk in over there and just
- 33:20Speaker 5: see you locked in. You even gave me like a
- 33:22Speaker 5: cool if we catch up after I do this, and
- 33:23Speaker 5: I was like, oh, my guy is locked in, right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 5: no problem. I like got nervous to like make eye contact.
- 33:30Speaker 5: I was like staying there.
- 33:32Speaker 3: I went over and said that, and he's like, hey,
- 33:33Speaker 3: just for context, I'm better lock in. It's gonna be
- 33:35Speaker 3: super dark real quick, like yeah, and I'm like, I'm
- 33:40Speaker 3: gonna I'm gonna head. I'm let you do your things
- 33:42Speaker 3: so hyped, so nice.
- 33:44Speaker 2: And I was like, however, I was like, if you
- 33:47Speaker 2: like to see me just like, I'm like, because I'm
- 33:49Speaker 2: playing like just like a kid that I actually can't
- 33:52Speaker 2: even really talk about it, playing like a really sad kid.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And that's just like been through a lot, and it
- 33:58Speaker 2: just it's like really just like dark and like cold,
- 34:01Speaker 2: and it's like so funny being on the set over there,
- 34:03Speaker 2: well like looking around and like still trying to like
- 34:06Speaker 2: be in that moment with like different distractions around.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Yeah, there's nothing serious emotion detector.
- 34:13Speaker 1: We will throw an a reference d in here. We
- 34:16Speaker 1: could not find the iPhone mount I made the credit
- 34:20Speaker 1: Jimmy rigged. It was five boxes stacked on a ladder
- 34:24Speaker 1: with a fucking it's amazing what a little like thumbtacks, thumbtacks.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Like ten across and ten back to keep the iPhone
- 34:32Speaker 4: set up on this box.
- 34:33Speaker 1: And it was working for a minute, and I'm reading
- 34:35Speaker 1: the lines back to Tristan and then on like I
- 34:38Speaker 1: don't know, probably like thirty forty five minutes in.
- 34:40Speaker 4: You can just I can just see the phone just
- 34:42Speaker 4: slowly going and I've finally we found it. But I'm like,
- 34:46Speaker 4: I'm fucking his process.
- 34:48Speaker 6: Up the whole, right, Yeah, you're costing him the role.
- 34:50Speaker 1: And then and then like you look behind it, it's
- 34:52Speaker 1: like Fandal like Halloween gobblin like, but he handled like
- 34:58Speaker 1: a true professional.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I have done way worse for Lass.
- 35:02Speaker 5: That is shocking too, because you were saying that some
- 35:04Speaker 5: people will, uh will tell you just just film it
- 35:07Speaker 5: on an iPhone, like don't.
- 35:08Speaker 4: I was ready the time thirties.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I was like, oh, do come to the studio and
- 35:12Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, we just need to try on an iPhone.
- 35:14Speaker 1: It says like specifically four iPhone.
- 35:15Speaker 4: I was beyond, like we don't have the iPhone.
- 35:20Speaker 5: Out right now.
- 35:21Speaker 2: On on some of the websites that you submit your
- 35:25Speaker 2: audition for that like your agent shoots you through, then
- 35:28Speaker 2: like the format of it can be a little messed
- 35:30Speaker 2: up or it won't be compatible. And so usually typically
- 35:34Speaker 2: casting like a directorial ask for like if they want
- 35:38Speaker 2: it specifically like on an iPhone, they'll they'll say it.
- 35:41Speaker 2: But usually if you go to like a recording studio
- 35:43Speaker 2: and you have some ship like this or fucking like
- 35:45Speaker 2: a Canon sixty or whatever and like shooting it, yeah, yeah,
- 35:48Speaker 2: that's crazy.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Did did you ever want to like have aspirations to
- 35:52Speaker 1: do other things outside of acting?
- 35:54Speaker 4: Like was.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Like, I know that you've had other ventures, but I like,
- 36:00Speaker 1: what did you want to do if it wasn't acting?
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I think like, uh, I worked in
- 36:08Speaker 2: Like that's always say like when you're like I worked
- 36:11Speaker 2: in fashion for a while. Yeah, I only have yard
- 36:16Speaker 2: and I think, like, uh for that for a long
- 36:20Speaker 2: time was I was like damn if I could like
- 36:22Speaker 2: just keep designing merch for different artists. And that was
- 36:26Speaker 2: something I really really enjoyed, was design it like going
- 36:30Speaker 2: into like someone's head right like you see, uh uh
- 36:36Speaker 2: He's a big good example. Like I'm just thinking of
- 36:39Speaker 2: different artists that I funk with right now, like Kenny Mason.
- 36:43Speaker 2: He's just like this dope rapper from Atlanta and uh,
- 36:47Speaker 2: he like blends like alternative rock and he blends the
- 36:50Speaker 2: rap as well, and he does it really well. And
- 36:53Speaker 2: just like designing artists for or designing merchandise for like
- 36:56Speaker 2: different artists. And then I think we're talking about the
- 37:00Speaker 2: the Dad podcast hat right where it's like a statement
- 37:03Speaker 2: that lives on its own, And that was always something
- 37:05Speaker 2: that I absolutely love doing and would love to go
- 37:08Speaker 2: back to one day, but I didn't that I don't know,
- 37:11Speaker 2: like fucking just being creative. I feel like just like yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 2: one hundred percent, just being able to like be at
- 37:16Speaker 2: liberty to create with friends and different people around that
- 37:20Speaker 2: like just inspire you and whatever industry that are like
- 37:24Speaker 2: fucking I don't know, dude. Sometimes I feel like I
- 37:26Speaker 2: take an audur all and I'm like, fuck, dude, I
- 37:28Speaker 2: would just kill it in sling and selling insurance or
- 37:32Speaker 2: some shit, probably, bro.
- 37:35Speaker 6: Yeah, when did you move to LA?
- 37:39Speaker 2: I moved to Los Angeles twenty twenty August during COVID. Yeah,
- 37:46Speaker 2: my mom. I was supposed to move in March, but
- 37:48Speaker 2: my mom got really sick. She's good, No, she's great,
- 37:51Speaker 2: living amazing life, but yeah, she had stage three cancer
- 37:54Speaker 2: during COVID or stage two of aarian cancer, and she
- 37:58Speaker 2: was very sick. And like during COVID times, you're just
- 38:01Speaker 2: like no one knows what the fuck's going on, you know.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And so, uh, my sister came back to Austin. Her
- 38:08Speaker 2: and I were like living together to like quarantine and
- 38:11Speaker 2: go back down on the weekends this here and everything.
- 38:13Speaker 2: And but that pushed my whole LA trip back and
- 38:17Speaker 2: like my LA moved to LA. Been waiting since like
- 38:20Speaker 2: fifth grade to roll and roll out there, and yeah,
- 38:24Speaker 2: but that time was like I think really grounded me
- 38:27Speaker 2: before going out, Like yeah.
- 38:28Speaker 6: Yeah, what's what's something that like you know now about
- 38:31Speaker 6: living out there that you wish you knew?
- 38:33Speaker 2: Oh shit, first that's a great question. I think, like, uh,
- 38:38Speaker 2: just like what every song always talks about and like
- 38:42Speaker 2: every you just hear like all that glitters ain't gold,
- 38:44Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like ever there's there's there's
- 38:47Speaker 2: so many it's so fly by night, I think in
- 38:50Speaker 2: uh Los Angeles and in New York, where like it's
- 38:55Speaker 2: there's just so many. It's it's what's the right way
- 38:58Speaker 2: to say, it's like fast coming from where I come from,
- 39:04Speaker 2: and just like the way that people talk promises that
- 39:07Speaker 2: never happened, like money this, money that. But it's like
- 39:10Speaker 2: I think my biggest thing is like take everything that
- 39:14Speaker 2: everyone says with the grain of salt, because like unless
- 39:17Speaker 2: they're operating at like a certain level that you is
- 39:21Speaker 2: verified valid that you know, then it's just like yeah,
- 39:24Speaker 2: don't don't chase that dragon.
- 39:27Speaker 5: Yeah makes sense for sure.
- 39:29Speaker 6: Yeah, what about a dream dream scenario dream world co star?
- 39:34Speaker 2: Oh dude, I think if I could work with Jake Jillenhall.
- 39:41Speaker 2: And I think I watched Donny Darko for the first time.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I know, like it's Saloween so and I was watching
- 39:48Speaker 2: these Donny Darko memes Whereas like it's like the film
- 39:52Speaker 2: bro that just wants to tell is like fucking like
- 39:54Speaker 2: Riyah crush all about Donnie Darko and you're just like
- 39:58Speaker 2: you're like Jesus, dude, It's like you just get high
- 40:02Speaker 2: ones and all you can talk about is Donny dark Oh.
- 40:04Speaker 2: But I watched that film at my my brothers how
- 40:07Speaker 2: a sleepover, and I like hid behind a bunch of
- 40:11Speaker 2: these stuffed animals where I was like covered in them,
- 40:14Speaker 2: playing on one Nintendo DS for like an hour because
- 40:17Speaker 2: I wanted to watch the movie. And I knew they
- 40:18Speaker 2: were like I had a rated R movie because like
- 40:21Speaker 2: their friend brought the DVD and I saw the DVD
- 40:23Speaker 2: and I was like, damn, this shit looks sick. And
- 40:26Speaker 2: I literally like and they're all like on the couch.
- 40:30Speaker 2: There's like ten of them and all their friends. I'm
- 40:32Speaker 2: like behind them at like eight. I'm just like so
- 40:34Speaker 2: he starts to poke my head out like rid his
- 40:37Speaker 2: like head over heel starts playing in the movie, and
- 40:39Speaker 2: I was like I just remember just being like damn,
- 40:41Speaker 2: this is this is it?
- 40:44Speaker 1: This is it.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you hear the Tears for Fears and you're just like, yeah, no,
- 40:50Speaker 2: I'm not Pokemon Yellow anymore.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 2: I think Logan Lerman and don't O'Brian are absolute homie,
- 40:59Speaker 2: like just really great. I think Tessa Thompson is an actress.
- 41:05Speaker 2: She I did this project on no relation, right, no, no,
- 41:09Speaker 2: no no relation. I think I would love David Reese,
- 41:14Speaker 2: love you, bro, And uh, she's an amazing actress that's
- 41:18Speaker 2: in this. You'll know, I don't know, Like we'll spit
- 41:21Speaker 2: some game real quick. Janelle Monnet this dope artist. She
- 41:25Speaker 2: was in Knives the Knives Out Too with Dan Cragg.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Uh.
- 41:28Speaker 2: So she has this forty five minute music video called
- 41:31Speaker 2: Dirty Computer and it is a full production is so sick,
- 41:36Speaker 2: and Tessa Thompson stars in it, and Testa is also
- 41:39Speaker 2: like a bunch of other ship. But she is someone
- 41:41Speaker 2: that I think is like one of the sickest actors
- 41:43Speaker 2: out there.
- 41:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I gotta watch that. What's it called.
- 41:46Speaker 2: It's called Dirty Computer. It's on YouTube's sick.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I gotta look at I know I know people's faces,
- 41:53Speaker 3: but I don't know people's same. She's the grown creede.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Michael Jordan's Yeah, she can say yeah ibsolutely.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I was like, I know that name, but I can't
- 42:02Speaker 3: put a face to it.
- 42:02Speaker 5: So Michigan sing, oh yeah, I have seen it how
- 42:08Speaker 5: much you set it up, I can't sing either. We
- 42:11Speaker 5: might have to do this.
- 42:12Speaker 6: Yeah have you seen that? Are you on TikTok?
- 42:15Speaker 2: Yeah? A little bit. I I kind of gave it
- 42:18Speaker 2: up like sometimes I was. I think I reached like
- 42:22Speaker 2: a point like last year where I was like, let's
- 42:26Speaker 2: just have let's just have one feed to look at
- 42:28Speaker 2: it right now, just so I don't like just like
- 42:31Speaker 2: have a psychotic break.
- 42:32Speaker 6: What was your feed of choice?
- 42:34Speaker 8: Uh?
- 42:34Speaker 2: Instagram? Right now? Real started getting better TikTok's algorithm. I
- 42:37Speaker 2: remember like twenty twenty four. I was like, I was like,
- 42:39Speaker 2: I don't even know what's going on anymore.
- 42:41Speaker 6: They just added the shops.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Real it started going.
- 42:45Speaker 4: There's no ads like TikTok. There's an ad every four though.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Kind of ads are we talking about? We're talking about all.
- 42:58Speaker 7: The truly, all the ads I have are just TikTok
- 43:00Speaker 7: shop ones, and it's just like magic tricks, and it's like,
- 43:03Speaker 7: right now, it's the smoke that you rub on your hand.
- 43:06Speaker 2: I want that.
- 43:07Speaker 7: But this trend with that we were talking about is
- 43:10Speaker 7: basically a bunch of corporate people are setting up their
- 43:12Speaker 7: phone and they're like seeing if I have a hidden
- 43:14Speaker 7: talent so I can quit my day job and then
- 43:17Speaker 7: you start here and stay with me play and they
- 43:19Speaker 7: just try to karaoke it and obviously barely anybody can sing,
- 43:24Speaker 7: and we bring it up and missus like, I've been
- 43:25Speaker 7: told I can sing, and we're kind of waiting to
- 43:29Speaker 7: do the trend.
- 43:30Speaker 3: So I didn't know, you know, I mean, I'm down
- 43:34Speaker 3: to do it. It's just whether or not I'm on
- 43:39Speaker 3: the spots tough.
- 43:39Speaker 2: You know, I gotta go, you gotta you gotta hit
- 43:45Speaker 2: the shower like rub one out, getting the zone and
- 43:49Speaker 2: then just be like sow.
- 43:54Speaker 3: In the shower. I can sing anything.
- 43:58Speaker 6: You need that you need.
- 43:59Speaker 2: The was not heartbreak to where you're just like where
- 44:02Speaker 2: you're just like you're sitting there and you're.
- 44:03Speaker 6: Just like, damn, I guess it is true.
- 44:06Speaker 5: I'm not good at a one.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Piece of ship and you're never gonna stay with me.
- 44:14Speaker 6: What your process is?
- 44:15Speaker 5: I guess that might be it Johnny drama process. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 44:20Speaker 5: rubbling out in the trailer.
- 44:21Speaker 2: It's just like, oh god, I.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Feel like this is like not a fair question to anyone,
- 44:28Speaker 1: whether you're an actor account whatever.
- 44:29Speaker 4: What is your favorite movie?
- 44:32Speaker 3: Oh man?
- 44:33Speaker 4: It like there's multiple examples and it can be done.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Question to the account and be what's your favorite book?
- 44:39Speaker 6: Like, what's your favorite numbers?
- 44:41Speaker 5: What's your favorite number?
- 44:46Speaker 2: God? And please just say like say like say like
- 44:48Speaker 2: some weird Fibonacci sequence.
- 44:50Speaker 1: You can wait till the end because I feel like
- 44:52Speaker 1: we're transitional. Last week we had a good conversation on.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Worst main characters in TV and movie. Was it main character?
- 45:00Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 45:00Speaker 2: Do you want to give some examples Baggins and TV
- 45:05Speaker 2: or Elijah Wood? Yes, you think he's a bad proto.
- 45:09Speaker 3: No, not a bad actor character?
- 45:13Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that acting like that character pisces.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Me off the.
- 45:17Speaker 6: Dude.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, Jesus Christ. When like when like he's just
- 45:20Speaker 2: not listening to Sam and just like Gollin is just
- 45:23Speaker 2: fucking just on his ass, dude, like constant exactly everything
- 45:29Speaker 2: but helping when they're climbing up like part of Mountain
- 45:31Speaker 2: Doom and Ship and they're just like on the side
- 45:33Speaker 2: and you're just like seeing like Smigel still smiggling around
- 45:36Speaker 2: and like and like was like some just leave him be.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you're talking about I saw one in the somebody commented,
- 45:45Speaker 3: so I forget who it was. Shout out whoever you did.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Whoever you are ari A Stark from Game of Thrones.
- 45:51Speaker 3: She's not necessarily the main character.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Is she the mini faced god? Like that's Ari the
- 45:56Speaker 4: younger one? Oh yeah, yeah, damn, I love you. She
- 46:02Speaker 4: was very tough.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Her story arc was just so weird and like I
- 46:06Speaker 3: didn't like when she went to the.
- 46:09Speaker 6: I don't watch show. A lot of people like her.
- 46:11Speaker 4: I like her a lot.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I don't think she was a bads, but she can
- 46:15Speaker 1: be very frustrating. I think she just kind of beats
- 46:17Speaker 1: her own drum.
- 46:18Speaker 3: And she's young, but like just her story arc is
- 46:21Speaker 3: what kind of annoyed me, Like when she goes like
- 46:23Speaker 3: the tomb of the Temple of the Face Temple, like
- 46:27Speaker 3: that whole thing, Like I didn't necessarily wish it had
- 46:31Speaker 3: more attention. I didn't really I didn't really like that.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Uh yeah, I think that. I think it's a I
- 46:42Speaker 2: wish they touched up on it so it'd be more
- 46:45Speaker 2: like fleshed out, because like like just being like a young,
- 46:51Speaker 2: like little girl in this like insane in westers and
- 46:55Speaker 2: like the most crazy world and to like somehow just
- 46:57Speaker 2: like skate by the fucking like skin of your teeth
- 47:01Speaker 2: every single way you go with.
- 47:09Speaker 3: The one bastard Son. Yeah, no, absolutely, Brathian bastard Son,
- 47:16Speaker 3: and like the I like and then in season eight,
- 47:20Speaker 3: like it kind of comes like the yeah she comes back,
- 47:22Speaker 3: she comes back, and like she used the powers or
- 47:25Speaker 3: whatever you.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Said, yeah, where she's I wish they had like a
- 47:28Speaker 2: little bit more of a because it's like not that
- 47:32Speaker 2: much like magic that's like touched on, you know, They're
- 47:35Speaker 2: not like shooting fireballs like wizard style and shit. Like
- 47:38Speaker 2: the most they do is in like season two when
- 47:40Speaker 2: Khalisi goes to like that Warlock temple when they take
- 47:42Speaker 2: her dragons and ship, and but I wish they touched
- 47:46Speaker 2: more upon it of like the technicality rather than being like, yeah,
- 47:49Speaker 2: she cuts these like Walter Frays like face off and
- 47:52Speaker 2: then she just can wear it like a mask because
- 47:54Speaker 2: she spent this time in this temple doing whatever how
- 47:58Speaker 2: that works, and like working on these bodies, I guess.
- 48:00Speaker 2: And I wish they like touch upon like a little
- 48:02Speaker 2: bit more of like there's a little bit more of
- 48:04Speaker 2: a magic rather than just kind of like a cut explanation,
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah you can do this now. Yeah this this girl
- 48:10Speaker 2: has gone full Hannibal Lecter. She's wearing hand Yeah, she's
- 48:13Speaker 2: gone full Hannibal.
- 48:15Speaker 5: Do you have like a least favorite main character he hates?
- 48:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I've already.
- 48:20Speaker 8: Talked about this one, but it's it is Grandpa Joe.
- 48:23Speaker 8: And if you guys ever get a chance on YouTube,
- 48:25Speaker 8: there's a four minute rant by Jim Rome on Grandpa Joe.
- 48:29Speaker 8: It is one of the funniest things you'll ever hear
- 48:31Speaker 8: in your life. The original Charlie in the Chocolate Factory
- 48:34Speaker 8: was my favorite movie growing up, and I can never
- 48:36Speaker 8: fucking watch that movie after listening to that because Grandpa
- 48:39Speaker 8: Joe is the biggest piece of shit in the world.
- 48:42Speaker 8: He gives this kid alcohol, he Augusta's he goes He's
- 48:45Speaker 8: gonna drink the whole river, and Augustus drowns in it.
- 48:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 48:48Speaker 8: He sits in the bed all day, and then Charlie
- 48:50Speaker 8: comes home with a you know, gold ticket while Grandma's
- 48:52Speaker 8: working triple shifts at the laundromat.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Piece of ship.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Get it?
- 48:55Speaker 6: How you living man?
- 48:56Speaker 2: How living man? Yeah, dude, it's heinous.
- 48:59Speaker 4: On on a positive noe.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Do you want to do best characters or should we
- 49:05Speaker 1: save it? I mean I feel like you kind of
- 49:07Speaker 1: need some thought. Yeah, sitting you're just kind of you know,
- 49:10Speaker 1: playing ping.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Pong, SpongeBob, Goku, gokude, don't get me started on dragon balls, dude,
- 49:16Speaker 2: don't even get me started. Don't even get me Sorry.
- 49:19Speaker 2: I we got to talk after you, man, because we
- 49:21Speaker 2: don't want to just make this a full anime. Nerd
- 49:23Speaker 2: out ye but damn yeo. I think like, yes, dude,
- 49:26Speaker 2: Like sometimes I'll be on the gym just like cracked
- 49:29Speaker 2: off a fucking like Celsius your energy drink, and I'll
- 49:33Speaker 2: just be like YouTube Goku speeches fifteen minutes long.
- 49:39Speaker 6: We have the same YouTube.
- 49:42Speaker 7: Mine would be you watch the attack on Titan obviously, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 49:45Speaker 7: yeah dude. Whenever I need to get like a quick
- 49:47Speaker 7: hit of motivation, I'll just do a commander or win speech.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Yeah dude. Or he's just like soldiers. Yeah, there's something
- 49:55Speaker 2: about it, and like you try these voice actors too,
- 49:58Speaker 2: like if you like watch them in the booth, that's
- 49:59Speaker 2: such an just in craft and it's too where these
- 50:02Speaker 2: guys are just like their inflections are insane and it's
- 50:05Speaker 2: almost like and like the wisdom that some of them
- 50:08Speaker 2: are spinning too. It's like says so many hidden gems.
- 50:11Speaker 2: You get it, Yeah, dude. It's like they're spinning bars
- 50:15Speaker 2: like in uh what's uh god, dude, what's one of my.
- 50:18Speaker 6: Favorite What was the movie that just came out, Demon Slayer?
- 50:21Speaker 6: Do you see the movie?
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Yea, I went by myself, dude in theaters and
- 50:24Speaker 2: saw that ship.
- 50:25Speaker 6: I have just one other anime friend in Nashville.
- 50:28Speaker 2: We went. It was no, dude, it was electric. Animation
- 50:32Speaker 2: is so good.
- 50:34Speaker 6: No, Jason j.
- 50:35Speaker 7: C is an anime fan. But my friend Austin, Yeah, man,
- 50:39Speaker 7: I'm all in. I'm watching full Full Metal Alchemists right now.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Don't even get me started on Edward, dude. Just so
- 50:47Speaker 2: that's that's another one where they're just dropping fucking wisdom, dude,
- 50:50Speaker 2: Full Metal Alchemists Brotherhood. He's like sitting there and he's like,
- 50:53Speaker 2: in this world, he's like, it's a law for I'm saying.
- 51:01Speaker 2: He calls it the law of equivalent exchange, right, and
- 51:03Speaker 2: it's kind of like a yin and yang. But he's like,
- 51:05Speaker 2: in order to get something in this life, you have
- 51:08Speaker 2: to be willing to sacrifice something of equal value, of
- 51:10Speaker 2: equal value absolutely, and so I think that's like, uh,
- 51:14Speaker 2: I think in life not to get actually, yeah, the
- 51:16Speaker 2: shade stay on because we're getting sentimental. My buddy Aaron
- 51:19Speaker 2: and I always have this saying the world's got a
- 51:22Speaker 2: funny way of knocking you down when you're feeling like
- 51:24Speaker 2: you're on top. And I think that comes like with uh,
- 51:28Speaker 2: it's like not to like to not be grateful for
- 51:30Speaker 2: when great things are happening to you and be like,
- 51:32Speaker 2: oh shit, when's the shit gonna fuck up again? But
- 51:35Speaker 2: it's like this macmata leck right, It's like everybody's walking
- 51:38Speaker 2: tall till they trip, and that shit like is like
- 51:42Speaker 2: something that like always resonates with me. But that's like
- 51:45Speaker 2: the part of the ship of the Wisdom that they're
- 51:47Speaker 2: just dropping in full metal where man, Yeah, the law
- 51:51Speaker 2: of equivalent exchange almost I want to get that tattooed
- 51:54Speaker 2: on me. Actually, yeah, fuck with the logo. Do the
- 51:56Speaker 2: logo is sick?
- 51:57Speaker 1: Actually?
- 51:58Speaker 2: Dude? Yeah? Not to like just distracted the.
- 52:01Speaker 5: One that I started Attack on Titan, Yeah, I think
- 52:03Speaker 5: I got like seven or eight episodes in probably stopped
- 52:07Speaker 5: obviously stopped way too soon because it was getting hype.
- 52:10Speaker 5: I think it's the I want to listen. I want
- 52:13Speaker 5: to watch it and have to read the subtitles. Yeah,
- 52:16Speaker 5: because I would watch it in the English version, and
- 52:20Speaker 5: it just wasn't the same.
- 52:21Speaker 7: Do you watch it and it depends on the show,
- 52:26Speaker 7: like you watch uh yeah, you watch Black Clover.
- 52:30Speaker 6: Yeah, So like that's I watched Friendships to Getting Made show.
- 52:37Speaker 7: But that's an example of like I watched that one
- 52:40Speaker 7: in English because Austa's Japanese voice is so annoying. His
- 52:45Speaker 7: English voice is sti annoying, but the Japanese one is
- 52:47Speaker 7: even worse.
- 52:48Speaker 6: So I'll watch it in English.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I wish I could. I've got a couple hummies here,
- 52:53Speaker 2: like I call them. You know, in the different worlds
- 52:56Speaker 2: that we all live in, there's snobs everywhere, but I
- 53:00Speaker 2: but he's like an animated snow where he's just like
- 53:02Speaker 2: dringing on watching the subs, dude.
- 53:04Speaker 6: I hate when people trying to watch the.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Subs, dude.
- 53:08Speaker 4: I mean what subtitles, Like the.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Subtitle would be Japanese Japanese version, word word word where
- 53:14Speaker 2: we're all learning. Yeah, no, truly, whatever's best, Like Mitchell
- 53:20Speaker 2: wh We're gonna we're gonna bring it back. I'm gonna
- 53:22Speaker 2: pull us out of this anime hole that we've just
- 53:24Speaker 2: crawled into real quick soon, dude. But I mean, like
- 53:28Speaker 2: but also at the same time, man, like I appreciate
- 53:30Speaker 2: all these questions too, and like, you know, I've known
- 53:32Speaker 2: Jack and care for a good amount of time.
- 53:35Speaker 5: We didn't even talk about how we met.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely. One of my roommates in college shout every
- 53:41Speaker 2: freeze fucking love you, shout out the guru engaged, congrats
- 53:46Speaker 2: on and uh the guru man.
- 53:50Speaker 4: And uh on Twitter slips my buddy guy, Oh got you?
- 53:55Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, who's on Twitter?
- 53:57Speaker 6: I know we're on the Chun method.
- 53:58Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I've heard the method is the one, dude,
- 54:03Speaker 2: it's the one. But uh yeah, And so I think
- 54:07Speaker 2: Jack and I met on a skeech like a little
- 54:09Speaker 2: ski trip down in Colorado, like the first time.
- 54:12Speaker 5: We brought the three we brought different fring grips together
- 54:15Speaker 5: from three different.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Schools Tennessee, Texas.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Majority of my friends at Tennessee, we're all going to
- 54:21Speaker 1: to Kanya and me and my friends were like, let's
- 54:24Speaker 1: go snowboarding in Colorado. So it was awesome because it's
- 54:28Speaker 1: almost like in high school, like seeing like you know
- 54:32Speaker 1: your rival high school people. I like spring break, You're like,
- 54:34Speaker 1: oh yeah, like we're all here together, and like in college,
- 54:36Speaker 1: it's even weirder because you're like, yeah, they have spring
- 54:39Speaker 1: break as well, right and do We had such a
- 54:42Speaker 1: blast hit it off so quickly, and I feel like
- 54:45Speaker 1: just since then, it's.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Just yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:49Speaker 6: Does he know what's his name?
- 54:52Speaker 3: Sam?
- 54:53Speaker 6: Or what's the dude's I love?
- 54:56Speaker 2: Oh dude Jarvis Yoh yeah yeah. So I saw that.
- 55:01Speaker 2: I saw that homie and like my buddies Sean and
- 55:03Speaker 2: I are fucking I'm like him and I are just
- 55:06Speaker 2: crying laughing. I can't remember I was in Texas or what,
- 55:08Speaker 2: but I was with my homie and we're just like
- 55:11Speaker 2: sending it like we're both looking at it. We just
- 55:12Speaker 2: send every one of his videos back and forth. I
- 55:15Speaker 2: send one to Jack and Jack was like, yeah, that's
- 55:17Speaker 2: the that's the boy, that's the homie.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Dude.
- 55:19Speaker 2: He's like, we know he's like dah, I fucking know
- 55:21Speaker 2: that dude. And I was like, oh, hell yeah, I
- 55:22Speaker 2: wish not do nothing but the best.
- 55:24Speaker 4: What's cool about Sam too?
- 55:25Speaker 1: He was just in town a couple of weeks ago,
- 55:27Speaker 1: and he really he really wants to come on inside
- 55:30Speaker 1: the bush.
- 55:32Speaker 4: I'm in town next.
- 55:32Speaker 1: He's like, I would love to come and like hang out,
- 55:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, dude, we will clear everything.
- 55:39Speaker 7: Did you guys see the one where they're doing like that,
- 55:41Speaker 7: what's the game called when one person doesn't know the topic?
- 55:45Speaker 6: And yeah, the Epstein one.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Oh yes, yes, trying to describe something like you're trying
- 55:52Speaker 1: to guess or whatever.
- 55:53Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, misunderstood a.
- 56:00Speaker 5: Real dell. Yeah, misunderstand as funny is whatever Sam does,
- 56:04Speaker 5: come on, if like we're gonna have we're gonna have
- 56:07Speaker 5: to have like a list because everyone's gonna want to
- 56:09Speaker 5: sit in for.
- 56:10Speaker 6: I know, he's one of my favorite follow up guests.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Lets out the guest less out the door, dude, fucking yeah,
- 56:19Speaker 2: this guy at all, No, dude, he's got on the internet,
- 56:21Speaker 2: he's got this bad on TikTok, he's got the Mitch.
- 56:24Speaker 2: I'll fill you in thirty.
- 56:25Speaker 5: We got to talk about that.
- 56:27Speaker 6: Yeah, what time do you go to bed?
- 56:33Speaker 4: Last night?
- 56:34Speaker 2: Last night? Pretty late, man, last night, pretty late. But
- 56:37Speaker 2: usually like during the week, like if I try and
- 56:40Speaker 2: like wake from waking up and then to being what
- 56:42Speaker 2: I've got on my plate, if it's if it's yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 2: for it, I'm doing math. I'm like.
- 56:50Speaker 4: Where we kick him out?
- 56:51Speaker 2: Eleven o'clock. Eleven o'clock. Yeah, No, I've usually got a
- 56:56Speaker 2: bed at like twelve thirty because I just have to
- 56:57Speaker 2: watch like I just have to. Yeah, I just have
- 56:59Speaker 2: to watch like one TV show just to wind down.
- 57:03Speaker 2: And it's usually like something weird, just like something like
- 57:06Speaker 2: Black Clover, not weird, something sick, it's like something I'm like,
- 57:09Speaker 2: we can do you for a while, bro. I would
- 57:11Speaker 2: watch Adventure Time before I go to bed, like religiously. Yeah,
- 57:16Speaker 2: religiously and before I say that. And I always tell
- 57:18Speaker 2: people because they're like, Adventure Time, you mean that kid's cartoon.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I'm like, no, you mean that fucking animated television series
- 57:24Speaker 2: that's one over thirty three fucking Emmys.
- 57:26Speaker 6: Sneaky bangers in there too, Bangs, dude.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Real knowledge in that show. I gotta get on some
- 57:31Speaker 1: beautiful literature in there.
- 57:33Speaker 3: But yeah, the reason we brought that up. I go
- 57:34Speaker 3: to bed at nine thirty, eight thirty nine.
- 57:38Speaker 4: What would you do?
- 57:38Speaker 3: I'm asleep by nine thirty.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I wish I was like.
- 57:41Speaker 1: Okay, So last week we're talking about Frodo and it
- 57:44Speaker 1: says he's never seen more of the Rings.
- 57:46Speaker 4: We're like, dude, you have to. It's the greatest trilogy ever.
- 57:48Speaker 4: So we're trying to find a time.
- 57:49Speaker 1: He's like, well, man, you know Monday we record, Tuesday
- 57:54Speaker 1: I got flag or Wednesday got flag. You know.
- 57:56Speaker 4: He's like, I'm in bed by thirty.
- 57:57Speaker 6: And it's like, bro, like there's your time.
- 58:00Speaker 4: It's right, It's it's for the taking. So maybe Tristan
- 58:02Speaker 4: can convince you to watch the Rings.
- 58:04Speaker 3: I mean it sounded dope, and like, listen, I do
- 58:06Speaker 3: want to dope.
- 58:07Speaker 4: Man, how many minutes have you watched zero?
- 58:11Speaker 3: But I dud did NASCAR game just came out. I've
- 58:13Speaker 3: been ripping around with damn left.
- 58:15Speaker 1: I'm pumped you have a game because I've been I've
- 58:17Speaker 1: been playing skate a lot recently and just just rediscover
- 58:21Speaker 1: a new game at the age of thirty and like
- 58:23Speaker 1: truly fall in love with it. There's only so many
- 58:26Speaker 1: more times in your life and that will happen again,
- 58:27Speaker 1: because like, and I'm living in it right now. Like
- 58:30Speaker 1: see if it's sad, because like I fell, I fall
- 58:32Speaker 1: out of love with video games very easily.
- 58:34Speaker 6: In my old ages.
- 58:35Speaker 3: I remember when you got the Harry Potter game, like
- 58:37Speaker 3: you you know, you're like this tracked for like a
- 58:39Speaker 3: month and.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Yeah, literally it was probably like a month and a
- 58:42Speaker 1: week and after that, I think I on installed it
- 58:45Speaker 1: because I was like, I think it got warm outside,
- 58:47Speaker 1: like I'm very like weather depending video game player.
- 58:51Speaker 3: You can only play CFB for so long before it
- 58:53Speaker 3: gets kind of boring.
- 58:54Speaker 5: I think I played. I think I played three games
- 58:56Speaker 5: of this new one was like, nope, too slow.
- 58:59Speaker 3: I I it was like, when this NASCAR game comes out,
- 59:01Speaker 3: I'm going to spend ninety dollars on it so I
- 59:04Speaker 3: get to seventy two hour early access. You get all
- 59:07Speaker 3: the skins and everything. I used to work in Nascar.
- 59:09Speaker 3: That's why I'm a big Nascar fan.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Fuck. Yeah, So.
- 59:12Speaker 7: It is.
- 59:13Speaker 3: I have been ripping it, and it is do you
- 59:15Speaker 3: create a character? And I created created.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Here's your sponsors right now?
- 59:22Speaker 3: Right now? I think it's like there's some like fake brands.
- 59:25Speaker 3: I'm still in the ARCA Minard series, to be.
- 59:28Speaker 6: Honest, I don't even know what it is.
- 59:30Speaker 2: It's interesting you think that, Like I feel like I'm
- 59:32Speaker 2: so happy we're talking about games now because I fucking
- 59:35Speaker 2: that's like just growing up in Bomont, there's not a
- 59:37Speaker 2: lot to do. Man, So I played a lot of
- 59:39Speaker 2: the games, and so he's got the switch to Yeah, dude,
- 59:43Speaker 2: Me and my me and my boy Aaron, Aaron, Uh
- 59:46Speaker 2: fucking we went and camped out at best Buy. Camped
- 59:48Speaker 2: Out's crazy. We thought it was releasing at midnight, but
- 59:51Speaker 2: it was releasing at like yeah, so we we we
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: both bring chairs. We bring like I bring like chips
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: ahoy some high noons. Like we're like, fully we're we're
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: tail getting the switch to a best Buy. Dude absolutely
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: when boys got his pen. We're sitting there making friends
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: in line to no one else has a chair really,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: like it's just us just being like just being like, yeah,
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: so anyways, Aaron talking about the Pokemon card you just got,
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: and we're both just eating chips ahoy, like moving like
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: ever so slowly while we're in this best byeline. Awesome, honestly,
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: it's it's it. It was like three and a half
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: four hours.
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: But yeah, that's fair.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: That's fair, Like y'all made the right decision and having
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: a chair.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: I camped out for Buffalo Wall Wings for like two days.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: And that was hell on Earth.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Three wings a week they did where it was crazier
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: in Nashville, and you go to any location. So what
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: they would do is every hour they would come out
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and give you like you know how it's like a
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: mile like their stickers for.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: The wait, is it just six a week?
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: It was like a week. It's crazy, it was only six.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: I thought it was like unlimited, gotta be six a day,
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: six a week.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Wild this span of like twelve hours come out. You
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: have to have an X amount of stickers. So you
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: had to stay there and people were just getting like
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: wasted out there.
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we had like pink lemona burnettes and it
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: was smacking it.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: It was cold as hell.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: It sucked man tents in the front lawn.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: It was fun.
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: I think the Wings place used to show love because
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: in high school it was they did twenty five cent
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: or fifty cent Wing night, and now you're lucky to.
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: Get a dollar Wing night.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: Shout out Checks should.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: I didn't hit that up. It was Sunday, and I'm like,
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: I think it was it may have been Faust Birthday. No,
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: we got wings for fast Birthday. So the weekend after,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: like yo, Checks is doing one dollar wings. He's like
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: all right, bet, and then he.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Like left two or three hours later, and sometimes it
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: be around sometimes it be around. Yeah, so six a
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: week or what, dude, I'm.
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: Like, but I know we were on Burnett's I don't remember, dude.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: But back to back to Brunette, dude, back to finding
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: just like I think a video game that you love.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: I saw this meme the other day that was like
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: turning turning thirty is just turning thirty is just rediscovering
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: everything you loved at like thirteen.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like, especially like in our generation, like
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: whatever the world is where you're just like damn, so
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I just got like caught up in the entire like
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: whatever the world wants me to be. What the fuck
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: do I want again? And then you're like, damn, I
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: just want six wings.
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: Yeah, dude, there's a there's a Sonic game that was
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: on GameCube. I forget the name of it, but Sonic
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: Adventure Battle Too.
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: Yes, bro, No, I've been looking for that high for
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: a while.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: Back found our video game.
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: I can't find it switch No, I mean I don't
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: think so just the GameCube.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Hey listen, So if you want, I'll drop some ball
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: on you. It's backwards compatible on the Xbox Series X
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: and you can play that and redownload it and play
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: that there. I did that during COVID. Yeah, so you
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: like it's on the Xbox store. They've got that one
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: game I know you're talking about.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: That is incredible.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: We have Xbox you can tell load it?
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Yeah for real?
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: Oh yeah we do.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, it's awesome. I got my little cousin a
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: switch for like his birthday like three years ago. And
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: uh now, like every time the new Sonic movie comes out,
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I like will fly in and go fucking pick him
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: up and a trip out of it and.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Go, I mean, wait, this is your cousin you said,
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: or nephew.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like he's uh my, he's like my uncle
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: was like seventeen years younger than my mom, so he
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: was like an older brother to us growing up. Shit,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: it's like all the Zelda's and ship and like basically
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: like just paying it forward with my little cousin.
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: And uh yeah, imagine your cousin is an actor. He's
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: got you your switch. He flies back to go watch
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: the Sonic movie with you. You're you're definitely his Mount
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: Rushmore forever.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: That's my that's my dog, dude, that's my little blood.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I love that he's such a little ball of energy.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: And then like he's like sitting there just like we're
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: sitting there just and sign it and just sitting there
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: like you just never seen a kid just more fucking
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: just like developed in a movie, because that's like, well,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: you know, I think movies and like all that ship is.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: It's like you go to the theater, You're like in there,
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: sh it's magical when you're a little kid. And then
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: like yeah, just being able to share that that's fucking awesome. Cool.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm trying to get to the theater this week.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: I think, yeah, movie I want to see. It's so bad.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Time the amount of marketing they've done for this Tron movie,
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: this has to be the best.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: The th HX.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: Is that what it is?
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be the last in solment of tront ever.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: And they're like Jared Leto.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: Did it again, Oh, just put another one to rest.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: But I'm gonna see it with complete open arms, and
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I know I'm gonna love it because I love Tron
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: so much, so I just want to go get lost
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: in the theater.
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: The first one was amazing, absolutely, dude.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Tron Legacy was just so god Dude, Tron Legacy was
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: so electric. Daft Punk's doing the soundtrack, like just every
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: like the base like every time you hear it, just dude,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Jeff Bridges is in that bitch, just holding it down,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: absolutely just electric. I got to actually actually fucking like
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: name dropping no story, Yeah your cousin talking talking about
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: so No. I got to work with fucking Garrett Headline,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: who's starting tron Legacy, and Jordan Ross, the director of
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: this film called The Tutor, and I had a small
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: part in that where I played this kid getting tutored
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: and uh, I had a scene with Garrett and him
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: and I got to go rip some SIGs outside too
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: and chill. But I played like this like eighteen year
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: old or like sixteen year old whatever, like seventeen year
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: old kid just getting tutored. And he's like at this
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: like insane mansion, just like super being an absolute assholders tutor.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: But he's got like a katana. He's like sitting there
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: just playing with the katana. And it's so funny because
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: ever since I was a kid and like watching Game
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: of Thrones growing up with and just like any Lord
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: of the Rings movie, I just was like always like damn,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with swords. And I just had like like
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: four swords in my room and I would just like
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: sit and just dream about being like an actor. But
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: it's like playing with the sword. And so one of
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: the story is you gotta watch fucking Lord of the
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Rings and two uh no, I got to ore of
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Garrett and he was like one of the most up
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: here far.
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: It's tight on my biceps.
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: The sword.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like that's every dude ever that's just
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: obsessed with swords or with the sword.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: See somehow, like I saw this saying there was like
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: the male, the masculine urge to just bleed out on
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: a battlefield of the sword in your.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Hand evolution, Like I feel like that's just programmed into you,
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: just be.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Like John Snow and that in the Battle of Baskett
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: seem it just whips that out.
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: I'm afraid that the young like the current middle schoolers
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: don't have that.
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: In the don't have there's song change, which means we
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: have to have a sword fight, which means we need we.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Need, we need nerve to come back. It's nerve for nothing.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: And because like I remember growing up, bro, we would uh.
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: Nerve for nothing.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: It's nerve or nothing. We would have like we would
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: just have nerve wars. Dude, like before paintball, you'd be
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: like I got to sleepover, and like you got like
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: all the homies there and just yeah, dude, and then
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: one kid, poor kid, it just gets like shot way
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: too close. It's just like you are bullying me, and
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: you're like, dude, it's the war, dude. Everyone's getting bullied.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: Bro.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: We're in the trenches right now, Dude.
- 1:07:53Speaker 6: We're in the trenches.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: My brother shot me in the eye one time, and
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: I like it was like from far away and he's
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: like shot and I saw it and I started crying
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: on purpose to try to get try to get Nate
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: in trouble, and you never got in trouble.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: Damn, I've been crazy.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: I would get in trouble for literally doing anything, and
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Nate never got in trouble.
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: And like, why didn't you get out of the way
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: of it if you saw it coming.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't remember. I don't know if
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: I might be mixing two stories here.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Wait, Mitch, have you seen the matrix, the first one
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: that's one way to dodge bullets?
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean talk about the choke hold that had
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: on you as a kid of just trying every time.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: Yeah, right, dude, I rewatched those movies. I saw this,
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: I saw what was it? I saw this interview. I
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: think Keanu Reeves was on like on some late night
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: show like a year ago or something, but he talks
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: about when the Metaverse was coming out, and he's just
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: sitting there and like, I'm never I don't think. I like,
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: it's so funny like that, the parasocial relationship that we
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: have with celebrities and shit like just being online or whatever.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: But Keanu was just like he's like, yeah, we're going
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: with the Metaverse, like there's a new matrix. I just like, ah,
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: don't you think it's a little outdated, Like just seeing
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: him just be like like clowning something kind of You're like, damn, Keanu,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: if it's coming from you, dude, like that one cuts deep.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: I hope Mark's all that because that shit's real as fuck.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: But uh nah, dude. I remember rewatching the movie like
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: last year and just sitting there and being like, damn, yeah,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: we're fucked.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: I need to rewatch.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: I know, I was just thinking the same thing. Whenever
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: they're on TV, I'll like watch for like twenty minutes
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: or so.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: Resurrections was asked, But I mean, I still enjoyed it.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I never saw it.
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: It's not it's it's one eleven. It's exactly what you
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: think it would be. But it's probably the neutron.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: I thought it was just like John Wick six from
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: like what I saw for Oh John question, I like
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: John Wick es, we love we love j w dude,
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: question word.
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: John Wick is going to go the wrong way for Jason.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: Bourne one v one one v one?
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Who wins or like with the better movie, the answers
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: the same like they fight or the the Oh yeah,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: it's like the better the better win. A hold up, dude,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: I forget what I just feel like, I feel like.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: That's what I'm on.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: I think John Wick, dude, I think Jason Bourne would.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I don't know, because like the I'm like thinking about
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: strategies right, I'm thinking about dude, I'm thinking about their
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: strategies because I'm just like, okay, like Jason Bourne obviously
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: like fucking full secret agent everything else. And then John Wick,
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: I feel like, just like x VET that's just like
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: an absolute assassin. But Jason Bourne is just like he's
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: oh my god, it's Jason barn In. I know that John.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I know Jack loves John Wig, get.
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: Some sleep, Jack, you look tired.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Just fucking put the bullet, Dude, I didn't. I didn't
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: mean to take you out back in just old yellow Year.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: I like, I love Jason.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Bourd movies too, but yeah, I've always just identified with
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: John Wick.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: I think it's because I have a dog and like that.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, anyone anyone ever tried to hurt Bonnie? Dude,
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I feel you, I feel you.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Yeah, this this, this was always set up for Japs
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: with all the anime talk. You didn't even know Tristan
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: like Tennis to a lot of a lot of big things.
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: That have gone before we get out of here, y'all
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: need to make a bet for the.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: Yeah, one thing, so I kind of did in the
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: last like five minutes.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: And just because one Tennessee is not one in twenty
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: three years and Brian Denny and the line I think
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: we did what we did last year and loser wears
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: the gear on the next episode.
- 1:11:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean that's like the easiest one.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I don't feel confident on I'm not
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: doing any shaved head bets for like, yeah, I'm not
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: doing mustache either.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: If it was in kneel and I would consider so maybe.
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: The easiest one to do.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: Yeah, and like that one doesn't hurt as much as Yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: Like I always.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Cut on the wrong end of this one though.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: Last year we did the bet.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: It was just like the loser to like deck I
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: just wear and I just gave him like a ton
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: of it was the photo you look, so you have
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: to be you.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: Have to wear a wife beater to work the rest
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: of the year.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Thinking about whether I'm thinking strictly fashion crop top, it
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: could work just full crop top, man.
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: I feel like, yeah, that one's the easiest one to do.
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: I didn't put any thought into this.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: That's on me that you gotta just wear a wife
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: beater to work on Monday, and then one of the choose.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: To wear.
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: This, yeah, or you just have one here. But it's like, yeah,
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: that's hilarious.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Actually that would be funny.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: All right, I'll do because at least if it's on
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: this it's not like on the bus.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fine, all right.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: We're not even in our Instagram.

- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I like kind of like thought about the I
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: don't know, you like think about like you know, like
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: what you would do if like certain things work out
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: and you're like operating at a different level. And I
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: was like, yeah, just like I never do I don't
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: think I'll ever do a podcast unless just for an
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: extremely close friend and just because, like I don't know,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: like I feel like some people can like twist your
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: words and like do small ship and like just like
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: we will and we will and they will, but not
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: dude the title, but but just to be here for nothing,
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: just to sit here and just like feel like we're
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: like little kids again, just chopping at the fuck up. Dude,
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: there's just nothing that it's an awesome experience. And plus
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: I'm fucking rooting for these motherfuckers right here. I always
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: have men abs doing it busting's crazy. Like this ship
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: is amazing, dude. The function and the ship that they're
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: running out here is absolutely fucking nuts. It's in a
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: full dope, amazing operation.
