- 0:15Speaker 1: here's not Bill Handle.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Get my throat Ready to ConA big show, Big Show
- 0:30Speaker 2: Morning Show, Los Angeles KFI AM six forty Live Everywhere
- 0:36Speaker 2: on the iHeartRadio app. Good Monday morn to you. Neil
- 0:40Speaker 2: Savagra in the morning crew on the Bill Handle Show,
- 0:43Speaker 2: Bill Handle, get this. He's going to d Land. Hey, Yeah,
- 0:50Speaker 2: he's gonna be a Disneyland today with Amy King. And
- 0:54Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, I've known Handle for over thirty years.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Love the man. We have a great relationship, despite what
- 1:01Speaker 2: you may hear on the air sometimes. And I wouldn't
- 1:05Speaker 2: take him to Disneyland. That sounds like the most horrible thing.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It is like two of the biggest magnets you could
- 1:12Speaker 2: possibly find facing insite opposite direction. Yeah, it's like the
- 1:18Speaker 2: least happiest person on earth going to the most happy
- 1:22Speaker 2: place on Earth. Seems horrible to me. Like there's going
- 1:26Speaker 2: to be a repulsion one or the other.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Don't you think Disney will turn it? What if he
- 1:31Speaker 3: comes back and he's a changed person? Like that? Disney
- 1:34Speaker 3: Magic worked its way into his heart and he comes
- 1:36Speaker 3: out like Amy King.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think that's totally possible. It's seventy three
- 1:41Speaker 2: or whatever. He is now to really really turn over
- 1:44Speaker 2: a new leaf, get some of that happiness in him.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So here's the rules for today. If you are there,
- 1:51Speaker 2: if you end up going to Disneyland today, do some
- 1:54Speaker 2: handle spotting. I want to see him, but you know,
- 1:56Speaker 2: pictures from different angles. Hit me up on social media
- 2:00Speaker 2: at folk Reporter on Instagram. Tag me in those photos.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I want to see him from odd angles. I want
- 2:06Speaker 2: to see him with food on his face, and then
- 2:08Speaker 2: two go up to him and say are you Bill
- 2:11Speaker 2: Handle and when he says yeah, yeah, go what's it
- 2:15Speaker 2: like working with Neil ha He loves that. He loves
- 2:20Speaker 2: when attention is not about him. He loves it. So
- 2:24Speaker 2: make sure you get that in. He'll be thrilled. And
- 2:27Speaker 2: then ask him for.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Zelmans and use the hashtag handle in the wild.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. I want to see glory pictures of him
- 2:34Speaker 2: walking like Bigfoot right around, you know, the matta horn,
- 2:38Speaker 2: things like that is what I'm looking forward to today.
- 2:41Speaker 2: But chilling on Soren, Yeah, I hop with little feet danglar.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I hope I hope he has a blast because I
- 2:50Speaker 2: love Disneyland. I was there last Thursday. I will be
- 2:54Speaker 2: there again this Thursday. I think my wife and I
- 2:57Speaker 2: are going to go nice. Well, the boys in school
- 2:59Speaker 2: when I got a night.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Actually, are you really I'm going to go with the
- 3:02Speaker 3: Woody Show.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Oh you're going to California Adventure.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, the special private party thing.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You're getting your Woody on. Good for you. I just
- 3:11Speaker 2: run around going I want to buzz. I want a Woody.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I want a buzz. I want a Woody.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I don't know anybody from the Woody Show. They never
- 3:17Speaker 3: come and talk to us.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, then, how'd you get tickets?
- 3:20Speaker 3: I told them I one of them. They sent an
- 3:23Speaker 3: email out that was like who wants tickets? And I
- 3:25Speaker 3: was like I do. I am poor. I have a
- 3:27Speaker 3: family that can't.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I love them all. I get along very well with
- 3:32Speaker 2: all of them.
- 3:32Speaker 3: All right, Well, I wish they would come down and
- 3:33Speaker 3: see Mr.
- 3:34Speaker 2: We're not cutting well. I see Sea Bass coming down
- 3:36Speaker 2: here sometimes and moving around.
- 3:39Speaker 3: When you go to Disney, what do you like to do?
- 3:41Speaker 3: What's your everything? What's your first go to? What is
- 3:44Speaker 3: your first stop at Disney?
- 3:46Speaker 2: You know what? For us, because we have passes. It
- 3:47Speaker 2: doesn't matter. It's like, uh, I like the vibe. I
- 3:51Speaker 2: like that you go in there.
- 3:52Speaker 3: It's the atmosphere.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It's clean, it smells good. Mostly people are polite. Of course,
- 3:59Speaker 2: everybody worked there is, but it's just it's a great vibe.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I enjoy the food. I enjoy hanging out with the
- 4:06Speaker 2: family there. But of course there's rides that I did.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I love the Classics. I love the Haunted Mansion. I
- 4:13Speaker 2: love Pirates.
- 4:15Speaker 3: That's my daughter's favorite ride.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Oh, it's a great ride. It's always it's just in Disneyland.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Her favorite ride in California venture is the Guardians of
- 4:23Speaker 3: the Galaxy, the up and down ride.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I haven't been on that since it changed from Tower
- 4:28Speaker 2: of Terror.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Oh you have to.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I'd love to do that, but my wife hates drops
- 4:33Speaker 2: and my boy hates drops. So that's that's a single rider. Yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 2: it's my single Yeah, but uh so I do enjoy
- 4:45Speaker 2: it profusely. I like the racers there is fantastic. Yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 2: but yeah, and then of course Rise of the Resistance
- 4:55Speaker 2: is the best ride in the world.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Best. I'm was just saying, that's my husband last night.
- 4:59Speaker 2: That's I took my brother Craig who hadn't been in
- 5:03Speaker 2: a long time, and I took him on that ride
- 5:07Speaker 2: and it progresses because the queue is kind of part
- 5:11Speaker 2: of it and all of these things, and he's like, oh, yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 2: this is nice. And then all of a sudden the
- 5:15Speaker 2: doors open and he's like, holy l And I said, oh,
- 5:19Speaker 2: it's just because, oh, you don't even know. You don't
- 5:22Speaker 2: even know, so uh. I hope they have a great time.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But if you see handle in the wild, I want photos.
- 5:29Speaker 2: The more awkward the better. He's probably going to have
- 5:31Speaker 2: his like Florida jew outfit on, you know, the high
- 5:35Speaker 2: black socks with Bermuda shorts type thing going on.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Call him pepaw? Hey, what is good? Pepa?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Mema? This morning with you? Is that? How did people
- 5:44Speaker 2: use them? Do people use those?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Is that the I don't know why. There's something about
- 5:49Speaker 3: older gentlemen I want to call them pepaw and mem
- 5:52Speaker 3: Maybe it is from my Oklahoma roots.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Kayla Kayla, producer of The Fork Report. When I say
- 5:59Speaker 2: something that sounds old man, as she goes, all right,
- 6:01Speaker 2: pop pop back to the show, all right, pop, let's
- 6:04Speaker 2: go pop pop. All right. Speaking of let's go, we've
- 6:08Speaker 2: got Heather Brooker here, yay. We love some Heather Brooker.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Do you have any shows coming up? I do, Okay,
- 6:15Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. Hold on, Let's get in some
- 6:17Speaker 2: news and then and doesn't explode, and then we're going
- 6:21Speaker 2: to talk about those. Okay. If I for some reason
- 6:24Speaker 2: forget you, just jump in and go, Hey, remember me,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Kno's here, Will Will? The pink is in the house. No,
- 6:32Speaker 2: and then and is here? All right, let's handle on
- 6:38Speaker 2: the news. Lead story. Just sadness all the way around here.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Man in Louisiana killed eight children Sunday. Obviously, this one
- 6:49Speaker 2: was a shooting. Authorities described as a domestic violence incident,
- 6:55Speaker 2: and that individual was later killed by police after he
- 7:01Speaker 2: fled a carjacked vehicle. The suspect in this case and
- 7:06Speaker 2: a woman believed to be his girlfriend were also shot
- 7:09Speaker 2: and seriously injured in all of this violence. But the
- 7:13Speaker 2: children you got eighteen months Jesus, all the way up
- 7:18Speaker 2: to a twelve year old. It just you know. You
- 7:21Speaker 2: talk to law enforcement, and I get that it's not
- 7:25Speaker 2: in vogue to appreciate cops. God only knows why, but
- 7:30Speaker 2: I will tell you that they will say that the
- 7:33Speaker 2: most difficult and probably I would say eighty percent of
- 7:39Speaker 2: their job is domestic stuff, domestic violence, domestic calls, and
- 7:47Speaker 2: who would want to be around that kind of heated temperature.
- 7:52Speaker 2: You know, conflict nobody gets, you know, more intense than
- 7:57Speaker 2: when it surrounds family. I mean, imagine when you become
- 8:00Speaker 2: a parent, you become like the mama bear, the papa bear. Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 2: nobody hurts my kid, nobody.
- 8:06Speaker 3: And there's such young children, and you know, they say
- 8:09Speaker 3: that it was the suspects children. The man who shot them,
- 8:11Speaker 3: they were his own children, which is just even more horrific.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I couldn't a horrific, horrific story. And I'm sure we'll
- 8:18Speaker 3: get more information in the coming weeks for that. All right,
- 8:23Speaker 3: In the latest, and what's happening over in Iran, Apparently
- 8:27Speaker 3: the US has seized an Iranian flagged cargo ship that
- 8:31Speaker 3: allegedly attempted to breach a US naval blockade. President Trump
- 8:35Speaker 3: posted on truth social saying the nine hundred foot cargo
- 8:38Speaker 3: vessel Tusca was intercepted by the Navy destroyer USS Spruance
- 8:44Speaker 3: in the Gulf of Oman. Apparently they warned the ship
- 8:47Speaker 3: to stop. He says the ship was disabled and bordered,
- 8:51Speaker 3: and now US marines have custody of the vessel. However,
- 8:55Speaker 3: Iran is saying that they're now takes making that as
- 9:02Speaker 3: well a break of the ceasefire, I guess, and so
- 9:06Speaker 3: they are warning they are threatening retaliation.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Listening this morning to Heather Brooker and Wake Up Call,
- 9:17Speaker 2: you hear her talk about this now, Iran as saying
- 9:20Speaker 2: that there's no talks with the US for now. You know,
- 9:25Speaker 2: this has been going back and forth. Trump had a
- 9:28Speaker 2: little bit of a win but said he wasn't going
- 9:30Speaker 2: to pull the ships out, and so now this continues
- 9:38Speaker 2: to be a mess. The talks may be off at
- 9:41Speaker 2: least for now. We don't know what that second round
- 9:43Speaker 2: is going to look like. Very fragile situation no matter what.
- 9:46Speaker 2: It always seems like duct tape and popsicle sticks. But
- 9:51Speaker 2: you know, you're talking less than forty eight hours before
- 9:53Speaker 2: the ceasefire it was set to expire, and all kinds
- 9:58Speaker 2: of issues there. We'll see if that, if more rounds
- 10:02Speaker 2: of talks help or not. I think it's a pretty
- 10:05Speaker 2: rough situation and ultimately carpet bombing maybe the cell.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Neil Savader in the Morning crew on the Handle Show today.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Handle is at Disneyland, believe it or not. I want
- 10:19Speaker 2: it with oil and water Man. That's gonna be interesting.
- 10:23Speaker 2: He's going to Disneyland with Amy King. This is their
- 10:25Speaker 2: first date. It's so cute.
- 10:27Speaker 3: They have a day date.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh my gosh, he's so excited.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I asked Amy. I was like, are you excited? And
- 10:33Speaker 3: she goes yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Amy's very positive and Amy, from what I hear, she
- 10:40Speaker 2: has pulled out all the stops to she has done
- 10:44Speaker 2: it right.
- 10:45Speaker 3: So I know she loves Disney. She'll she'll absolutely do
- 10:48Speaker 3: it right.
- 10:49Speaker 2: She's doing the best to put him in the best
- 10:51Speaker 2: because he is shpilkus. He has ants in the pants.
- 10:55Speaker 2: He doesn't like lines, he doesn't like being treated like
- 11:00Speaker 2: anything but royalty. He's like, on Bill handle right. This
- 11:05Speaker 2: way Bill handle over him is to handle. What do
- 11:07Speaker 2: you need is to handle?
- 11:08Speaker 3: Well, they should have bought the VIP thing that.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I've heard some tells.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know, maybe that's happening.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't know. M Yeah, you're saying Amy's no dummy. Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 2: and she doesn't want to ruin you know, or special
- 11:23Speaker 2: place understood.
- 11:25Speaker 3: VIP is the way to go.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So we shall see. But if you're out there in
- 11:29Speaker 2: the wild to one, take pictures and you can hit
- 11:33Speaker 2: me up tag me at Folk Reporter on Instagram. And
- 11:36Speaker 2: then two, when you go up to him, say are
- 11:38Speaker 2: you Bill Handle? What's it like working with Neil Savedra.
- 11:42Speaker 2: It'll get under his skin like you won't believe.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I love it, you know. I wish I could find
- 11:48Speaker 3: there the audio recording of Bill saying to me, you
- 11:52Speaker 3: will never have a show on KFI. You will never
- 11:57Speaker 3: have a show on KFI, because I want to incorporate
- 12:01Speaker 3: that into my intro for my show on Sundays.
- 12:03Speaker 2: You realize he says that to everybody.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I know, but it still makes me so happy. I
- 12:08Speaker 3: don't I kind of want to like have that be
- 12:10Speaker 3: my intro just on repeat and now here's KF I
- 12:12Speaker 3: live with either.
- 12:13Speaker 2: You will never have a show on KFI. It'll last
- 12:16Speaker 2: a week. Yeah. Handle hates everything that doesn't have Handle
- 12:21Speaker 2: in it. He can't listen to other people do shows.
- 12:23Speaker 3: That's true.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Back to speaking a Handle Handle on the news, Shall
- 12:27Speaker 2: we go?
- 12:28Speaker 3: So there's a refund system now that is set up
- 12:31Speaker 3: for businesses that paid tariffs where you know where the
- 12:34Speaker 3: US Supreme Court ruled President Trump imposed those tariffs without
- 12:39Speaker 3: the constitutional authorities to do so. So that is happening today.
- 12:44Speaker 3: It's already started. I believe it started at eight o'clock
- 12:46Speaker 3: Eastern time. So importers and they're brokers will be able
- 12:50Speaker 3: to begin claiming refunds through an online portal. And that's
- 12:54Speaker 3: the first step in what they're calling a very complicated
- 12:56Speaker 3: process that might also eventually lead to refunds for cuss
- 13:01Speaker 3: who were build for some or all of the tariffs
- 13:03Speaker 3: on products shipped to them from outside the US. The CPB,
- 13:08Speaker 3: if they approve the claim says it'll take sixty to
- 13:11Speaker 3: ninety days for refunds to be issued. And yeah, you
- 13:15Speaker 3: get some get some money back.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I think handling his pots and pans business already filed. Yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 2: good for him. I'd hate to see him, you know,
- 13:23Speaker 2: struggle in life financially A weird story yesterday prepping for
- 13:28Speaker 2: the show going through, I'm like, wow, you see Woodland
- 13:31Speaker 2: Hills and you see woman arrested for brokering sales of
- 13:36Speaker 2: bombs and drones and the like to the Sudanese Armed Force,
- 13:42Speaker 2: And that'll get your eyeballs curious. So this Woodland Hills
- 13:47Speaker 2: woman was arrested at the at Lax Saturday night. The
- 13:53Speaker 2: suspicion here is that she's helping Iran funnel weapons to
- 13:58Speaker 2: its proxies in Africa. How crazy is that?
- 14:01Speaker 3: A wild story?
- 14:03Speaker 2: Mafi? What's that Irish forty four years old broker? The
- 14:08Speaker 2: sales of drones, bombs, bomb fuses, millions of rounds of ammunition.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I mean more than probably even Kono has seen. He
- 14:18Speaker 2: seems like an ammunition packer. You you got you got
- 14:21Speaker 2: buried in the backyard or what do.
- 14:23Speaker 3: You Where do you keep your cammo?
- 14:25Speaker 2: No? No, you got to seal it in those plastic bags. Man,
- 14:28Speaker 2: you don't want the moisture getting in. But uh, crazy
- 14:33Speaker 2: in our own backyard.
- 14:34Speaker 3: That's a movie, right, This is going to be a
- 14:36Speaker 3: movie someday. What do you want to be?
- 14:38Speaker 2: I don't say that because you know that's like something
- 14:40Speaker 2: that you know Tom Cruise is going to want to
- 14:42Speaker 2: do and and and I can see the age on
- 14:45Speaker 2: him now and.
- 14:46Speaker 3: I can we all get older? Yeah, but even action stars, Okay,
- 14:52Speaker 3: I want to see it. There is somebody's gonna write
- 14:53Speaker 3: that movie though, FOSK show. All right, So this is
- 14:56Speaker 3: a story we have been covering for quite a while
- 14:59Speaker 3: since fall. Singer David Spelled D four VD will be
- 15:06Speaker 3: in court today. He was arrested on Friday in connection
- 15:10Speaker 3: with the death of a fourteen year old Celeste Revs Hernandez.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Her dismembered body was found in the trunk of a
- 15:18Speaker 3: Tesla registered to David, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.
- 15:24Speaker 3: He is expected to be in court today and suspected
- 15:29Speaker 3: of killing Celestrevus Hernandez.
- 15:33Speaker 2: A horrible twist on that story. That is what I
- 15:38Speaker 2: believe is horrible timing marketing wise. Yeah, Coachella Weekend two
- 15:44Speaker 2: was going on this past weekend, and you know everybody's
- 15:48Speaker 2: trying to get on that, you know, use it for
- 15:50Speaker 2: they know that it's going to be a concentration of
- 15:52Speaker 2: one hundred thousand plus people in one particular place, young
- 15:56Speaker 2: folks and the like. So you had this cryptic message
- 15:59Speaker 2: going over the fairgrounds there from a skywriter that said
- 16:04Speaker 2: Celeste is a liar. Celeste is a liar, And it
- 16:09Speaker 2: was round four pm. A lot of people had video
- 16:12Speaker 2: of it, of course on their phones. Well, the sad
- 16:15Speaker 2: part is the name that you just mentioned of the
- 16:19Speaker 2: dismembered young fourteen year old girl was Celeste Revs Hernandez.
- 16:27Speaker 2: With all of that being in the news. The assumption
- 16:30Speaker 2: is it's tied to that, but the reality is that
- 16:33Speaker 2: there's a Netflix movie called Roommates which was released on
- 16:38Speaker 2: released on Friday. It just came out on Friday and
- 16:41Speaker 2: has a character named Celeste in it, so that is
- 16:46Speaker 2: probably the reference there. I mean, there's no way it's
- 16:50Speaker 2: tied to the case because she's dead. Why how is
- 16:52Speaker 2: she a liar? But just a sad, horrible marketing coincidence.
- 16:58Speaker 3: And I don't know that Netflix has officially come forward
- 17:00Speaker 3: to claim it though. That's what's crazy is it's like
- 17:03Speaker 3: no one is stepping forward to say, yeah, this is
- 17:05Speaker 3: what we did. I also just feel like sometimes these
- 17:08Speaker 3: promos for these movies and TV shows, people don't they
- 17:12Speaker 3: don't do any like researcher looking into anything before they
- 17:16Speaker 3: decide to launch these things, and well, you know.
- 17:18Speaker 2: And it could it could be a pissed off lover
- 17:22Speaker 2: for all we know. I mean, that's the first thing
- 17:25Speaker 2: that came to my mind was, Oh, no, this is
- 17:27Speaker 2: some guy that's angry at a girlfriend. And you know,
- 17:32Speaker 2: because skywriting is a kind of a lost art, sort of.
- 17:38Speaker 3: A lost art.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I don't know how much you have
- 17:41Speaker 2: to pay for that but you want to hit this
- 17:44Speaker 2: last one here?
- 17:45Speaker 3: Uh, yes, I can. I was going to look up
- 17:46Speaker 3: how much skywriting is. I'm going to say one hundred bucks.
- 17:49Speaker 3: That feels fair.
- 17:49Speaker 2: No, I've got to be five hundred any more? You
- 17:52Speaker 2: would gas? I bet it's like fifteen hundred.
- 17:54Speaker 3: With gas over six dollars a gallon.
- 17:56Speaker 2: All right, thanks, Obama, thinks Obama.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Major earthquake off of Japan's north coast. It triggered a
- 18:04Speaker 3: tsunami alert. The earthquake happened early this morning, late last night.
- 18:08Speaker 3: The Japan Meteorology meteor wall Oh my god, I cannot
- 18:12Speaker 3: say that meteorological agency who issued a tsunami alert for
- 18:17Speaker 3: a wide section of the coastline. It registered seven point
- 18:23Speaker 3: five and was later upgraded. Usually they downgrade them, but
- 18:26Speaker 3: this was upgraded to a seven point seven earthquake. A
- 18:30Speaker 3: tsunami wave of about two point six feet was detected
- 18:34Speaker 3: in Kuji. Is that a tsunami two point six feet?
- 18:37Speaker 2: I feel like that's there's classification is not necessarily just
- 18:42Speaker 2: the height of the wave.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Well two point six feet was the tsunami
- 18:48Speaker 3: that was last seen. But they're saying that there could
- 18:52Speaker 3: be waves as high as ten feet later. Yeah, surf's
- 18:55Speaker 3: up there, we go.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Go get them. Jokewan all right, oil prices jump, You've
- 19:01Speaker 2: got the tension continued there in the Strait of Hormuz,
- 19:05Speaker 2: and this is causing problems. That's a big thorough way,
- 19:10Speaker 2: and of course the oil has a big part of this,
- 19:13Speaker 2: per huge always in the Middle East, it deals with oil.
- 19:17Speaker 2: So US crude oil jumped more than seven percent to
- 19:21Speaker 2: about ninety dollars per barrel, still better than where it
- 19:24Speaker 2: had been, but it had dipped down below that and
- 19:28Speaker 2: fingers were crossed. But the Brent crude oil, that's the
- 19:33Speaker 2: international Brent crude oil, that's the measurement there, rose five
- 19:37Speaker 2: percent to around ninety five dollars per barrel. So this continues.
- 19:42Speaker 2: What a weird time because you've got you know, stock
- 19:45Speaker 2: market's been great in a lot of ways, but this
- 19:50Speaker 2: is kind of nutty. So we'll have to wait and
- 19:53Speaker 2: see as that continues to play out. It's so emotional,
- 19:55Speaker 2: it's like, oh, we're good. No we're not. Oh we're good.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Oh no, just stay all were good, keep telling but
- 20:00Speaker 2: everybody all, we're good and it'll all be good.
- 20:02Speaker 3: That is the biggest blind spot for me when it
- 20:05Speaker 3: comes to things that I know. The stock market for
- 20:08Speaker 3: me is like a foreign language. I'm like, I don't
- 20:11Speaker 3: know anything about it other than just people make a
- 20:15Speaker 3: lot of money from it.
- 20:16Speaker 2: And oh yeah, but with you, I'm with you. It's
- 20:18Speaker 2: a mystery.
- 20:19Speaker 3: The FBI and Justice Department are trying to rebuild their
- 20:23Speaker 3: depleted workforce. There's been a wave of departures over the
- 20:27Speaker 3: last year. Leaders there are easing higher requirements and trying
- 20:31Speaker 3: to accelerate recruitment because a lot of people in the
- 20:36Speaker 3: FBI and Justice Department have either left or being are
- 20:41Speaker 3: promoted into positions of leadership or retiring. So the FBI
- 20:47Speaker 3: is using a social media campaign to attract applicants. They're
- 20:51Speaker 3: offering abbreviated training. Do we want abbreviated training for people
- 20:55Speaker 3: in the FBI?
- 20:58Speaker 2: So? Uh? A front part is the dangerous part of
- 21:03Speaker 2: the gun?
- 21:04Speaker 3: What does the f stand for?
- 21:08Speaker 2: Wow?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so apparently this is a part of a broader
- 21:12Speaker 3: effort to stabilize a workforce.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And yeah, I'm never a fan of dumbing things down. No,
- 21:18Speaker 2: the lowest common denominator business has become all too popular
- 21:23Speaker 2: that kind of like wow, we'll just yeah it just
- 21:28Speaker 2: where do you begin I got to tell you, huge
- 21:33Speaker 2: props to producer and this morning for stacking the news
- 21:37Speaker 2: stories because all of them have these one two punches.
- 21:41Speaker 2: So we go from that to the FBI's Cash Battel.
- 21:45Speaker 2: I saw this this weekend and I was like, party boy.
- 21:51Speaker 2: So if you saw the story, Cashpatel says that he's
- 21:55Speaker 2: gonna sue The Atlantic for defamation after the magazine published
- 21:59Speaker 2: a story on f did you see this? It looked
- 22:02Speaker 2: at his alleged drinking habits and absences from the bureau.
- 22:10Speaker 2: So you know, the last we saw what what team was,
- 22:13Speaker 2: It was that he was partying with the American Hockey
- 22:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I was hockey. So the story on Friday
- 22:22Speaker 2: was titled the FBI Director is m i A And
- 22:27Speaker 2: you know, is his defense, he has a hard time
- 22:29Speaker 2: finding things. His eyes are a little wonk. He's see
- 22:33Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but his regular pictures looked to me like mugshots,
- 22:40Speaker 2: like his his actual approved photo. He's an odd guy.
- 22:44Speaker 2: And I know everybody's like, oh, that's my team. I
- 22:47Speaker 2: gotta love everybody on the team and all this stuff.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I'm not that guy. Uh, he just that's I don't
- 22:52Speaker 2: look at him and go I want him in charge
- 22:54Speaker 2: of guns and things.
- 22:55Speaker 3: It looks like somebody just said don't move and then
- 22:59Speaker 3: took his picture, and he goes.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Yeah, he used to say that that Biden always looked
- 23:07Speaker 2: like he was walking walking on bumpy grass, even if
- 23:10Speaker 2: it was flat, and that's that's a good picture of Yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 2: nobody moved like click freeze. That's funny. So that's where
- 23:20Speaker 2: we're at now. He says he's gonna sue. We'll see
- 23:23Speaker 2: if you know, truth is the ultimate defense, so we'll see.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Do you want to do another one?
- 23:29Speaker 2: Yeah, let's hit number twelve, all right?
- 23:30Speaker 3: So a state appeals court panel upheld the conviction of
- 23:38Speaker 3: socialite Rebecca Grossman, who has sends for killing two young
- 23:41Speaker 3: brothers in a twenty twenty crash in Westlake Village. Last week,
- 23:46Speaker 3: Grossman well, she asked for the mother of the two
- 23:51Speaker 3: young boys, Mark and Jacob, who were killed while they
- 23:55Speaker 3: were walking through a crosswalk. She asked if their mother
- 24:00Speaker 3: would come and visit her in prison to see the
- 24:03Speaker 3: circumstances she's in, and the mother responded by saying, while
- 24:10Speaker 3: I can only imagine how difficult her life is behind bars,
- 24:14Speaker 3: the truth is this, I would trade places with her
- 24:16Speaker 3: in a heartbeat. I would live in any present cell,
- 24:19Speaker 3: under any condition for the rest of my life if
- 24:22Speaker 3: it meant my beautiful boys could be alive again, laughing, dreaming,
- 24:26Speaker 3: growing up, and chasing every beautiful future they deserve.
- 24:30Speaker 2: And Rebecca Grossman responded, so you're gonna come up yes or.
- 24:34Speaker 3: No, like the audacity that is the definition of the audience.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Maybe we'll talk. Maybe, maybe we'll talk about this later.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I think you should.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I kind of too. Yeah, yeah, so yeah, maybe we'll talk. Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Trump officials gave Cuba two weeks, two weeks, I got
- 24:54Speaker 2: you bender count them two months. He gave them two
- 24:57Speaker 2: weeks deadline on some sort of seat meeting here. He
- 25:02Speaker 2: wants to release high profile political prisoners as a sign
- 25:06Speaker 2: of good faith, and they're supposed to have some They
- 25:10Speaker 2: were supposed to have some secret meeting there, but the
- 25:13Speaker 2: State Department spokesperson said that the Trump administration remains committed
- 25:17Speaker 2: to the release of all political prisoners and we'll see
- 25:21Speaker 2: how that goes.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Also, thank you to all the nice people who are
- 25:24Speaker 3: leaving talkbacks saying how they like having me on in
- 25:28Speaker 3: the morning as opposed to Brandon and his anger issues.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Oh that's not the ones I'm Bernard.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Oh Brandon, See, we've already forgotten him.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Don't put that on Brandon.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Sorry starting Bernard. Brandon's a bee, all right, Yeah, he
- 25:42Speaker 3: is a bee. But thank you to all the nice
- 25:45Speaker 3: people who are leaving nice mess See handle has nice listeners.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Right, Okay, my listeners are the best.
- 25:50Speaker 3: That's right. Okay. Meta layoffs are set to begin on
- 25:55Speaker 3: May twentieth. Why are they giving us such a long
- 25:57Speaker 3: lead time on these layoffs? Here in still more fear,
- 26:01Speaker 3: more stress, Like imagine you're at Mega, Like, isn't me?
- 26:05Speaker 2: I want to see your eyes as the light goes out?
- 26:08Speaker 3: Oh? Well, Facebook and Instagram is going to lay off
- 26:11Speaker 3: ten percent of the global workforce. That's going to be
- 26:14Speaker 3: about eight thousand employees, and then more layoffs will come
- 26:18Speaker 3: in the second half of the year. They're saying. Meta
- 26:23Speaker 3: is declining to comment on the timing or the scope
- 26:26Speaker 3: of the cuts, and he says. Zuckerberg says that they're
- 26:29Speaker 3: pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into AI, and they
- 26:33Speaker 3: are dramatically reshaping Meta's inner workings so that means AI
- 26:37Speaker 3: is replacing people. That's what I hear.
- 26:40Speaker 2: What technology always replaces people? Yeah, because you want to
- 26:45Speaker 2: know why people are pain in the ass, and they're
- 26:50Speaker 2: becoming more pain in the ass as the days go on.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Bernard.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, there's the Bernards out there.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Who actually have a job and work with people and
- 26:59Speaker 3: talk like that.
- 27:00Speaker 2: You know, everybody is bitching and complaining about everything all
- 27:03Speaker 2: the time. They don't want this shift. You have people
- 27:05Speaker 2: in the restaurant industry that will get hired, they'll start
- 27:10Speaker 2: their job and then just walk out. No two weeks,
- 27:14Speaker 2: no nothing. You're damn right that AI is going to
- 27:16Speaker 2: replace your job, all right. Supreme Court is looking at
- 27:21Speaker 2: phone searches and they're using what people are referring to
- 27:25Speaker 2: as these like digital dragnets. You know, the old concept
- 27:30Speaker 2: of the old dragnets down in lapd in the old
- 27:33Speaker 2: days where they capture all the criminals and these big
- 27:37Speaker 2: nets figuratively of course. So you got this man carrying
- 27:40Speaker 2: a gun and a cell phone. Of course, he enters
- 27:43Speaker 2: a federal credit union, small town there in Virginia on
- 27:47Speaker 2: May of twenty nineteen, demands cash. He leaves with almost
- 27:51Speaker 2: two hundred thousand dollars in a bag. No clue to
- 27:53Speaker 2: his identity, but that smartphone and I'll call them smartphones
- 27:58Speaker 2: for nothing was keep track of them. So now there's
- 28:02Speaker 2: this landmark ruling from the Supreme Court on the Fourth
- 28:06Speaker 2: Amendment and the restrictions against unreasonable searches. Right, So the
- 28:12Speaker 2: Court's going to hear the arguments on this issue April
- 28:15Speaker 2: twenty seventh. And this is going to mean a big deal.
- 28:19Speaker 2: If this is going to be a tool that can
- 28:20Speaker 2: be used how much of that information because the nature
- 28:24Speaker 2: of it, the digital nature of it, and some of
- 28:28Speaker 2: it's very accessible locations and things like that. So if
- 28:34Speaker 2: this is going to be part of the new tool
- 28:36Speaker 2: in the tool belt belt for law enforcement?
- 28:39Speaker 3: All right, speaking of tools in the tool belt, Snoop
- 28:42Speaker 3: Dogg is opening. I don't know. That was a weird transition.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I don't know why I said that. No too, he's opening.
- 28:50Speaker 2: That's listen, silly, silly host segues are for kids.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I'd be more coffee, all right. Snoop Dogg is going
- 29:02Speaker 3: to be opening the first ever Doctor Bombay ice cream
- 29:06Speaker 3: on Venice Beach.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Wooo.
- 29:10Speaker 3: This is gonna be called This is a culturally driven
- 29:14Speaker 3: brand billed as hip hop style ice cream, and of
- 29:17Speaker 3: course it's owned by Snoop Dogg and his son Cordel BROADUS.
- 29:21Speaker 3: And here's some of the flavors. Neil our foodie. You
- 29:25Speaker 3: tell me which one of these you're you're into? I
- 29:28Speaker 3: stout orange cream, Oh yeah, strawberry dream cream. I'm hipping
- 29:32Speaker 3: and hopping, baked blueberry muffin. Okay. Four twenty Long Beach
- 29:38Speaker 3: fruit cart. Uh how about Okay, maybe let's leave out
- 29:44Speaker 3: the cart.
- 29:45Speaker 2: But what but why is this hip hop?
- 29:48Speaker 3: I don't know because of the name Long Beach.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, there is something. There are
- 29:54Speaker 2: at least two things that you can't do as a
- 29:56Speaker 2: man and look cool.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:58Speaker 2: One of them is sipp through a straw okay, and
- 30:03Speaker 2: the other is licking a cone.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Yeah you can't. Or eating a banana.
- 30:07Speaker 2: It's no sexy.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:09Speaker 2: Would you stop doing that? Tone? Could you put the
- 30:11Speaker 2: banana down? It's like six a day?
- 30:13Speaker 3: Oh oh, all right?
- 30:15Speaker 2: All the way back to.
- 30:16Speaker 3: The Usula peanut butter, jelly time, sticky caramel, apple, tropical Sherbert,
- 30:22Speaker 3: swizzle ma nizzle dizzle.
- 30:24Speaker 2: All right, We're gonna hit this last one just because
- 30:27Speaker 2: Pismo Beach named best coastal small town in the US,
- 30:30Speaker 2: So good for them. More obey Avalon Carmel by the Sea,
- 30:37Speaker 2: also in there in the three, four and nine slot.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I once had rocks thrown at me at Pismo Beach
- 30:44Speaker 2: walking down the street. Oh, guys, came out of a bar.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I had spiked blue hair, I think at the time,
- 30:50Speaker 2: walking down the street with another one of my punker
- 30:52Speaker 2: buddies visiting, and they threw rocks at us. I'd put it.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I put it last. I thought you were a dead seal.
- 31:00Speaker 3: They're like, get out of here and wait on wire. Punks.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Keep it up a little buddy.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Oh oh man, I'm gonna miss you, guys.
- 31:08Speaker 2: He's the funniest little key chain I've ever met. I'm
- 31:12Speaker 2: gonna hang you from my review mirror. Oh wow, like
- 31:16Speaker 2: some fuzzy dice dummy. All right, stick around. Councilwoman Monica
- 31:24Speaker 2: Rodriguez from the seventh District here in Los Angeles. We're
- 31:27Speaker 2: going to talk talk all things Los Angeles when we return,
- 31:30Speaker 2: So go nowhere. This is KFI heard everywhere on the
- 31:34Speaker 2: iHeartRadio app.

- 31:40Speaker 2: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
