- 0:00Speaker 1: This is a disruptor's podcast. Welcome to Revealing Wholeness podcast
- 0:07Speaker 1: dedicated to revealing the profound connections between body, mind, and spirit,
- 0:12Speaker 1: where we believe that true wellness arises from addressing the
- 0:14Speaker 1: root causes of our health challenges, not just masking the symptoms.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Here we dive deep into how holistic approaches such as
- 0:20Speaker 1: advanced chiropractic care, personalized nutrition, and natural healing practices can
- 0:25Speaker 1: transform your life. Now Here is doctor Troy.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy. One of the invariable
- 0:40Speaker 2: things that I get to talk about as a physician,
- 0:42Speaker 2: especially wellness holistic provider, is poop. You know, we all
- 0:48Speaker 2: do it, and of course there's all kinds of snickers
- 0:50Speaker 2: and giggles and I don't look at my own poop.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Oh okay, nobody does, I know. But here's if you
- 0:56Speaker 2: do look at it, some ideas of what to expect
- 0:59Speaker 2: if this is some of the things you're seeing now.
- 1:03Speaker 2: The article that I actually read, I thought this is
- 1:05Speaker 2: kind of funny. I didn't realize that sticky poop was
- 1:09Speaker 2: a thing that people are actually concerned about, that it
- 1:12Speaker 2: sticks to the toilet. We always giggle in my house
- 1:15Speaker 2: talking about painting the toilet. So if you happen to
- 1:18Speaker 2: paint a toilet and you do it quite often, your
- 1:21Speaker 2: diet is probably one that is not great because you
- 1:23Speaker 2: have a lot of extra mucous in your feces that
- 1:27Speaker 2: should not be there, and that means your bacterial colonies
- 1:30Speaker 2: are likely not doing their job very well or there
- 1:33Speaker 2: is even overgrowth, either of which isn't great. So one
- 1:37Speaker 2: of the things that you may find very very helpful
- 1:40Speaker 2: for keeping your fecal contents, we always call it packaging,
- 1:45Speaker 2: keeping the packaging ideal. Now again, let's review. I guess normal,
- 1:51Speaker 2: so at least we can have an idea of what
- 1:53Speaker 2: normal is. So people are like, wait a minute, that's
- 1:55Speaker 2: not normal. Correct. We think about the animal kingdom where
- 1:59Speaker 2: they have to go to the bathroom and they bend down,
- 2:03Speaker 2: trapdoor opens, package comes out, trapdoor closes. They don't wipe.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's because they're eating the foods that are likely correct
- 2:12Speaker 2: for them. So with that in mind, if you find
- 2:16Speaker 2: yourself having to do a lot of wiping, then we
- 2:20Speaker 2: have some issues. If you just don't like to wipe
- 2:23Speaker 2: and so you don't do it, well, that's your prerogative,
- 2:25Speaker 2: I suppose, So normal packaging is that it would be
- 2:29Speaker 2: sausage shaped and it would come out relatively easily and
- 2:32Speaker 2: not painful, and that there would not be a lot
- 2:35Speaker 2: of excess of wiping, if at all. That's quote unquote normal. Now,
- 2:41Speaker 2: where we stray from that of things like okay, well
- 2:43Speaker 2: it's white, okay. White is not okay, Yellow is not okay.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Green is often not okay, though it might not be
- 2:50Speaker 2: all all bad. But if you have yellow. Where I've
- 2:53Speaker 2: worked on clients with hot gall bladders where they've got
- 2:57Speaker 2: some issues with biol production, we may do a cleanse
- 3:01Speaker 2: that all of a sudden they'll say, hey, my poop
- 3:04Speaker 2: was like yellow for thirty six hours. Not unusual as
- 3:09Speaker 2: a cleaning does occur. So short term stuff fine, bright, green, okay,
- 3:14Speaker 2: maybe not great. Maybe some bile coming out that would
- 3:19Speaker 2: not be okay either, But again, if the body is
- 3:21Speaker 2: cleaning out, not a bad thing either, and it should
- 3:24Speaker 2: be short lived. Now the long term stuff like I
- 3:28Speaker 2: just poop little pellets, it looks like a deer. Well
- 3:32Speaker 2: that's when you don't flow bile hardly at all, and
- 3:35Speaker 2: so we have a congested liver. So beats and beat
- 3:38Speaker 2: greens would likely fix that relatively quickly, and please remember
- 3:42Speaker 2: the beat greens. You do not want to throw the
- 3:45Speaker 2: tops of beats out. They're very high in betane that
- 3:48Speaker 2: helps flow bile. But it also means that you may
- 3:51Speaker 2: have a decent amount of estrogen or you are losing
- 3:54Speaker 2: weight and therefore in the fat cells tends to be
- 3:56Speaker 2: a bit of extra estrogen. So just so you know,
- 4:00Speaker 2: that would be something to consider. Now we've discussed coloring, packaging,
- 4:05Speaker 2: what is normal and pellets, Now stickiness, we talked about mucus.
- 4:12Speaker 2: What do you do well? Digestion is now of a
- 4:16Speaker 2: primary concern, Or you are eating a lot of foods
- 4:20Speaker 2: that you're allergic to and you have an inflamed bowel,
- 4:23Speaker 2: and so there are multiple problems at work here. But
- 4:26Speaker 2: at least working on the upper GI first would be awesome.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So things like raw appleside or vinegar or other enzyme
- 4:33Speaker 2: products would be an excellent possibility to try to help this. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 2: let's say that we have the not so good things
- 4:41Speaker 2: like black tari stools, which can somewhat mean that you're
- 4:45Speaker 2: bleeding in the upper GI small intestine. This is something
- 4:48Speaker 2: that is not something to ignore. You definitely want to
- 4:51Speaker 2: have somebody at least know and try to figure out
- 4:54Speaker 2: if you are indeed bleeding, possibly doing a CBC blood
- 4:58Speaker 2: count to see how bad is it if you have
- 5:01Speaker 2: black beyond black taristools. Now if we start getting some
- 5:05Speaker 2: red and so, now you notice, hey, my poop is red. Okay,
- 5:09Speaker 2: have you been eating the beats and bee greens? Well,
- 5:12Speaker 2: that'd be one reason to be red. You could have
- 5:15Speaker 2: and I've heard this that extra spinach can have enough
- 5:19Speaker 2: iron in it that it would make your poop red.
- 5:21Speaker 2: That is a possibility. But bright red poop, you probably
- 5:24Speaker 2: have a bleed in the lower GI tract or the colon.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Again needs to be checked out immediately. So if something
- 5:33Speaker 2: strays packaging wise, you had better looks. Start looking at
- 5:37Speaker 2: your diet and trying to figure out what am I
- 5:39Speaker 2: doing that my body doesn't necessarily care for now. Long
- 5:43Speaker 2: term constipation not so good. Just so you know, that's
- 5:47Speaker 2: not a healthy thing either. But you may find that, hey,
- 5:51Speaker 2: when I do beats and bee greens, that helps my constipation.
- 5:54Speaker 2: For some they can get relief fairly quickly of constipation
- 5:58Speaker 2: by doing things like ox bile, though that's not a fix.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Let's just be clear, to do ox bile continuously is
- 6:06Speaker 2: not okay, because your liver is supposed to produce bile,
- 6:09Speaker 2: and if you're taking it in your diet, you're actually
- 6:12Speaker 2: telling your liver, hey, you don't need to do anything.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You can just chill and not process at all. And
- 6:19Speaker 2: we don't want to do that. We want the liver
- 6:21Speaker 2: to get back on track and at least produce its
- 6:24Speaker 2: own bile, of which is made from cholesterol. So if
- 6:28Speaker 2: you're on a cholesterol medication you notice that you're now constipated,
- 6:32Speaker 2: it's actually affecting your ability to make bile. Another side
- 6:36Speaker 2: effect of statins that's not very pleasant. But if you
- 6:39Speaker 2: have long term constipation and you're like, this is not fun, well,
- 6:43Speaker 2: beats and beat greens definitely, I would consider. I would
- 6:46Speaker 2: consider getting a little bit more fiber in your diet
- 6:49Speaker 2: as well as beats and beat greens to help. And
- 6:52Speaker 2: if that doesn't seem to alleviate, then we want to
- 6:56Speaker 2: go after some herbal axiatives. But again that is a
- 6:59Speaker 2: sh short term solution. We need to still go after
- 7:03Speaker 2: repairing your liver. So let's say that you have done
- 7:08Speaker 2: these things and your bowels move a little bit, but
- 7:10Speaker 2: you still have to do laxatives to do it. It's
- 7:13Speaker 2: now time to have somebody do an ultrasound or do
- 7:16Speaker 2: some tests to find out if you have a fatty
- 7:17Speaker 2: liver and do you need to actually repair your liver. Now,
- 7:21Speaker 2: that will take time, but you might as well begin
- 7:25Speaker 2: sooner than later. And so those are some ideas. We
- 7:29Speaker 2: don't like to go after the really bad things. But
- 7:31Speaker 2: if you've got pencil thin feces and you're wondering if
- 7:36Speaker 2: that's normal, that is not okay at all, and you
- 7:39Speaker 2: need to have that looked out immediately. And some people say, well,
- 7:43Speaker 2: that's an indication of colon cancer. Well of course it is,
- 7:46Speaker 2: but it doesn't mean that everybody has pencil thin you know,
- 7:50Speaker 2: pieces is got colon cancer. You could have a lot
- 7:53Speaker 2: of debris and build up in your bowels that obviously
- 7:56Speaker 2: shouldn't be there. And so let's do some things sooner
- 7:59Speaker 2: than later, so to speak. So I hope that was helpful,
- 8:02Speaker 2: just kind of a poop review, And if you have
- 8:05Speaker 2: any questions comments, please feel free to email me or
