- 0:00Speaker 1: The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah. Here
- 0:04Speaker 1: for You, Here for Good.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Looks like he might populate Megan's Music City minute.
- 0:09Speaker 1: In just a little bit. Oh yeah, he'll be there, Froggy,
- 0:12Speaker 1: John and Meghan good to be with you.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Happy Monday. If yes, that's a possible thing. Good morning John,
- 0:18Speaker 2: Good morning Frog, Good morning Megan, Good morning. I was
- 0:20Speaker 2: your weekend.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It was good.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It was good. I saw you went to the beach yesterday.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Went to the beach, went to fish camp and eight
- 0:27Speaker 4: and made an appearance at Lemon Bar.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 0:30Speaker 3: So that was fun.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I was a full on Jack's Beach Neptune Beach count
- 0:33Speaker 2: to day.
- 0:33Speaker 1: He did it all.
- 0:34Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, when I drive from the West Side, I
- 0:36Speaker 4: kind of want to do it all before I have
- 0:37Speaker 4: to make the forty five minutes.
- 0:39Speaker 2: To the west Side. That is true. That is true.
- 0:42Speaker 2: What about you, John, I was your weekend. A lot
- 0:44Speaker 2: of basketball, a lot of basketball, And I know it
- 0:47Speaker 2: was a lot of basketball for you until whatever. Okay,
- 0:51Speaker 2: Needless to say, his team did not win last night, and.
- 0:54Speaker 1: He got to hit the game winning shot that the
- 0:56Speaker 1: team shouldn't even been in a game anymore, man, because
- 0:58Speaker 1: he threw a punch in the first half and because
- 1:00Speaker 1: our guy blocked it, then it doesn't count.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I've never heard such a thing or whatever it is.
- 1:04Speaker 2: What it is about that big guy who overtake bulldoze
- 1:07Speaker 2: that guy?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh no, call there, Tina Luke comes running up the
- 1:11Speaker 1: gun right over the half. It's like a football player.
- 1:14Speaker 1: He did a football play, broke out. He was blocking.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You forgot he was opening the way. We were talking
- 1:19Speaker 1: to some roll he might play for the Gators and
- 1:20Speaker 1: that he would.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Be good your team because John, but your Gators up
- 1:26Speaker 4: higher in the bracket, and you weren't happy that they
- 1:28Speaker 4: got kicked out in John's bracket in sweet sixteen.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yep. Yeah, so there you go. He had Vandy beating us. Well,
- 1:34Speaker 1: neither one of them got neither of them. That's how
- 1:36Speaker 1: bad I am. I didn't even get the teams to
- 1:38Speaker 1: get there to lose. That's how That's how messed up
- 1:40Speaker 1: my bracket. It was a lot of college basketball. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: watched a little bit of that flag football game was
- 1:44Speaker 1: on Saturday's kind it wasn't boring. It was boring. Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 1: it was really bad.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It was boring.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah, but but good weekend, Uh, very busy weekend at
- 1:53Speaker 1: the Blockjacks opened over the weekend. I know they had
- 1:55Speaker 1: some issues there. Yeah, but they will get that figured out.
- 1:58Speaker 1: But I'll tell you I said to you earlier here, John,
- 2:01Speaker 1: one thing I have learned. If you're an investor in
- 2:03Speaker 1: this town and you've got some money to invest, if
- 2:06Speaker 1: you build it, they will come. Yes, if you build
- 2:09Speaker 1: a family friendly atmosphere with things to do in Jack's,
- 2:14Speaker 1: people will show up, and they will show up in
- 2:16Speaker 1: numbers starting.
- 2:17Speaker 2: They're starting, And I've been saying that too. I mean
- 2:19Speaker 2: for families, especially where he's in the ones. I'm like,
- 2:22Speaker 2: you know, we just start for a place where you
- 2:23Speaker 2: can think you can take your kid. Right, that's great.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I wish them all the best. I know they got
- 2:28Speaker 2: to iron out their parking issues, but I wish them
- 2:30Speaker 2: all the best.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get into Megan's three things on this Jacksonville
- 2:33Speaker 1: Monday as we get your day started on what is
- 2:35Speaker 1: going on.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm sure you get the blog Jacks in your three things.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Yeah, let's get into that situation a little bit more.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Because their opening day had an absolutely huge turnout, but
- 2:45Speaker 4: because of the parking fiasco, there just wasn't enough space
- 2:48Speaker 4: for the amount of people that showed up on opening day,
- 2:50Speaker 4: Like you were talking about, there's a kid zone. There's
- 2:53Speaker 4: also a twenty one plus area. They've got big TVs
- 2:56Speaker 4: and the dog park.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 4: So a ton of people showed up and they had
- 3:00Speaker 4: to start parking in the surrounding neighborhoods to the point
- 3:03Speaker 4: where a bunch of people got towed, and then the
- 3:06Speaker 4: owner's wife actually drove people to the towyard paid their
- 3:10Speaker 4: towing bills to say sorry, you know, thanks for coming
- 3:13Speaker 4: and supporting the business.
- 3:14Speaker 2: But yeah, they did, and I know that's the owner, Daniel, Yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 2: Daniel Moffett.
- 3:18Speaker 1: His wife actually took some of the people to the
- 3:21Speaker 1: towyard and paid their towing bill. They're like, listen, we're sorry,
- 3:25Speaker 1: this is happening. We're going to figure it out. But
- 3:27Speaker 1: they absolutely want to have a wait. They want you
- 3:29Speaker 1: to have a good experience, exactly.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I really love that. That's really kind of them to do.
- 3:34Speaker 4: LaGuardia Airport in New York is closed after a Canada
- 3:39Speaker 4: airplane crashed. The airport is expected to be closed until
- 3:43Speaker 4: at least two pm today. There's an investigation underway to
- 3:47Speaker 4: find out exactly what are the details what happened.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It was really bad.
- 3:51Speaker 4: A couple of people passed away unfortunately, and a lot
- 3:54Speaker 4: are injured. But if you are supposed to be getting
- 3:57Speaker 4: on airplane and connecting there just now, they don't know
- 4:00Speaker 4: exactly when it will be real war. Yeah, if you've
- 4:04Speaker 4: got a water leak you don't know about, uh, don't
- 4:06Speaker 4: be surprised if JEA reaches out to you. Because of
- 4:09Speaker 4: all the dry conditions, they're trying to keep customers bills
- 4:12Speaker 4: down by addressing what looks in the bill and the
- 4:15Speaker 4: usage amounts as leaks.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So that's three things you need to know, all right.
- 4:19Speaker 1: If you're up to Starlly, we need to know why
- 4:20Speaker 1: you up got to call us at nine oh four
- 4:23Speaker 1: three eight eight thirty six ninety nine, be our first
- 4:25Speaker 1: caller of the day. We'll we'll jump with something I'll
- 4:28Speaker 1: water be. It might even just be a pad on
- 4:30Speaker 1: the back. But you know what, how about how.
- 4:32Speaker 2: About this morning we'll can do them the grays Graze
- 4:34Speaker 2: all right?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Cool?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Listen to that. Yes, it's the sharcooter recruiter, the place
- 4:37Speaker 2: called Gray's Craze, which you can get all kind of
- 4:39Speaker 2: fine meats and cheeses.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Sarcucci boards.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I love those three eight eight thirty six at ninety
- 4:47Speaker 1: nine call us now be our first caller the day.
- 4:49Speaker 1: We'll check your Jacksonville traffick for your early morning ride in.
- 4:52Speaker 1: How's it, little John.
- 4:53Speaker 5: From the Closets by Design Traffics ound construction on the
- 4:56Speaker 5: west side.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I ten westbound. That is a mess, right.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Well, big book club meeting.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I'm going to early.
- 5:02Speaker 1: A book club.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It's early.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah. We give sixty seventy people there in the morning
- 5:09Speaker 1: seven am.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Are you bringing breakfast? Maybe some coffee? Oh yeah, we
- 5:13Speaker 3: got coffee donuts. Oh yeah, I gotcha.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Well I hope it's great.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, all right. Would you would you like a fifty
- 5:20Speaker 2: dollars gift card to Gray's Craze.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I would freaking love a fifty dollars gift cards from
- 5:26Speaker 1: Craze Grades, great Craze.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Whatever it is.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I know they got the night fortune there.
- 5:31Speaker 1: They do got some great boards.
- 5:32Speaker 2: But we want to give a fel we get fifty
- 5:35Speaker 2: dollars gift to beautiful Thank you nine one WQYK. Somebody
- 5:39Speaker 2: slap me. I'm just not awake. I feel like I'm
- 5:42Speaker 2: doing things and functioning, but I'm just not officially awake.
- 5:46Speaker 2: You will be when you go outside today, yo, and
- 5:49Speaker 2: it feels like ninety.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Sweat mopper, it's gonna be hot. Then, yes, today we could,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't think we will. The record is ninety one.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I think today's hi's gonna be eighty nine. We might
- 5:59Speaker 1: reach ninety. But yeah, it's a hot one. But then
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's gonna take a dive tomorrow. Only sixty eight for
- 6:04Speaker 1: the high tomorrow. Yeah, this is and.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Then it kind of climbs again as the week goes.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So we go like sixty eight, seventy two, seventy four,
- 6:12Speaker 1: then it gets back to eighty six, and then it
- 6:14Speaker 1: drops back into the seventies to eat by the weekend.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, mark.
- 6:17Speaker 3: March on the roller coaster of weather.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It is.
- 6:20Speaker 2: That's our month. That's our month.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But I didn't see any forties, No, sir, no, I
- 6:24Speaker 1: did not see any forties whatsoever. That's good bringing out yees,
- 6:27Speaker 1: so we will listen. I'll take the heat. It was
- 6:29Speaker 1: hot yesterday, Yes, it was, it was hot.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I was in a group of people and I brought
- 6:33Speaker 2: up the fact would it rather be fifty or one hundred?
- 6:35Speaker 2: And everybody chose fifty, and I said, well, can of
- 6:38Speaker 2: people do you hang out with? That's the emotion hears
- 6:41Speaker 2: in an egg gloop like no, no, I thought that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yes, I was on a walk yesterday and it was hot.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But yesterday morning, actually I walked early. It was little
- 6:51Speaker 1: chilly in the morning. It was fifty eight in the morning.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It was a little chili and I thought, you know what,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'll take it to be one hundred right now. And
- 6:57Speaker 1: by the time I got done with the ball was
- 6:59Speaker 1: pretty hot, sweating right right. I don't mind it, though,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you have.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Like three outfit changes every single day.
- 7:04Speaker 4: You gotta have the jacket and a weekend the shorts,
- 7:06Speaker 4: and then you've got to do the jacket hampants and.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You could have made a salad. I smelled like onions
- 7:11Speaker 1: yesterday by the time we were done. I worked outside yesterday.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I got a lot done. Oh nice, cleaned up the garage,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I got stuff done out. But I was a sweating
- 7:18Speaker 1: mess yes last night.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Beautiful spring cleaning weather.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Though. Yeaht Lista was gone all day. She came home
- 7:23Speaker 1: and I went to give her hug. She's like, nope, nope, nope, nope,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'll hug you have to get out of the shower.
- 7:28Speaker 1: She's like, I could smell you when I pulled in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the driveway. Ah, you know you were productive, right manly
- 7:33Speaker 1: working outside.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Let's get into Megan's music city minute. What is going on?
- 7:38Speaker 4: Tim mcgraw' is being inducted into the Country Music Hall
- 7:40Speaker 4: of Fame this year.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Am I the only one? Surprise he's not already in
- 7:44Speaker 2: there in the same way, sometimes people get in them
- 7:46Speaker 2: their third year, and sometimes you Tim McGraw did after
- 7:49Speaker 2: thirty crazy.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't get what they do.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I'm just glad that he's being inducted while he's still alive.
- 7:54Speaker 4: He has some of the greats that pass on and
- 7:56Speaker 4: then we induct them and it's like, why didn't we
- 7:59Speaker 4: do this?
- 8:00Speaker 1: I agree.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Keith Urban is making what he calls a yacht rock album,
- 8:05Speaker 4: and this is kind of wild because there's going to
- 8:07Speaker 4: be one original song and the rest of the album
- 8:10Speaker 4: is going to be covers.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Covers.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Oh, he's got to do Player Baby, come Back, Baby, Comeback,
- 8:14Speaker 1: Ambrosia and he kind of foo coots.
- 8:16Speaker 2: He's got to do all the big yacht rock he's
- 8:19Speaker 2: going to do.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Uh, Dan Seals Crosby still what's the Seals one? Seals
- 8:24Speaker 1: and Croft closer?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Oh oh yeah, England Dan and John Fortunately, Yeah, that
- 8:28Speaker 2: would be nice. He's going to do on and on
- 8:31Speaker 2: Stephen Bishop.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Yeah, so yacht rock is an actual out like genre.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Well, it's kind of made up after the fact, right,
- 8:37Speaker 2: if you've never heard of this. It's a soft rock
- 8:39Speaker 2: from the late seventies, early eighties. Okay, it's just a
- 8:41Speaker 2: soft rock from the late seventies, and people at somebody said, yeah, something,
- 8:45Speaker 2: it sounds great on a yacht and then they ended
- 8:46Speaker 2: up calling it yacht rock, which I've always hated, but
- 8:49Speaker 2: I love it, but they I love the music. I
- 8:52Speaker 2: mean to me, it was just soft rock from my
- 8:53Speaker 2: high school years.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Right, it is so funny.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Well, it's going to be interesting to see what the
- 8:58Speaker 4: one original song is because that's kind of.
- 9:00Speaker 1: A different concept.
- 9:01Speaker 2: You'll write in that. I'm sure he'll write in that
- 9:04Speaker 2: genre and it'll be great.
- 9:05Speaker 3: That's awesome. I'm Luke Combs. He kicked off his mic kind.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Of Saturday Night tour in Las Vegas on Saturday, and
- 9:13Speaker 4: there was a big attendance record that he broke at
- 9:15Speaker 4: Allegiance Stadium seventy nine hundred and twenty one fans.
- 9:20Speaker 3: The record before was seventy thousand, four hundred second you
- 9:24Speaker 3: do it?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Oh there?
- 9:25Speaker 3: He busted it out of the water. That's Megan's music
- 9:27Speaker 3: City minute.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Get another quick check on your Jacksonville traffick for your
- 9:30Speaker 2: Monday writing.
- 9:31Speaker 1: How's a lood? John?
- 9:32Speaker 2: Looks like the cones are up on ten West. Bounce
- 9:34Speaker 2: of things that are looking good. There also have a
- 9:36Speaker 2: crash now Zoo Parkway. It's the ramp to.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Very very cool spot. So it's a food hall, a
- 9:41Speaker 1: dog park and a music venue. And thousands of people
- 9:45Speaker 1: turned out for opening weekend.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yes, you always wonder when you open something like this,
- 9:50Speaker 2: you know, if you build it, they will come, and
- 9:52Speaker 2: boy did they come. They had a lot of good publicity.
- 9:55Speaker 2: A lot of people were excited for we were we
- 9:58Speaker 2: talked about it. Our news partner First Ghost News were
- 10:02Speaker 2: they're on Friday, kind of helping get some interest built.
- 10:05Speaker 2: But my goodness, I don't think we needed to bang
- 10:07Speaker 2: the drum too loudly for this, No, I said.
- 10:09Speaker 1: The turnout brought an unexpected number of cars and not
- 10:12Speaker 1: enough parking to go around. Now it's kind of a
- 10:14Speaker 1: takeaway from the weekend, which is sad because it really
- 10:17Speaker 1: is a really cool spot and it offers a new
- 10:19Speaker 1: something that we don't have.
- 10:20Speaker 2: We don't have an outdoor food all. Well, you know what,
- 10:23Speaker 2: and it's the same thing happened with the Jacksonville landing.
- 10:25Speaker 2: We didn't have enough parking, and unfortunately that's the bane
- 10:29Speaker 2: of Jacksonville. When something big enough happens, you don't have
- 10:32Speaker 2: enough places to park.
- 10:33Speaker 1: People said. At one point Sunday, a series of tow
- 10:35Speaker 1: trucks pulled up to the curb across the street and
- 10:37Speaker 1: with immense left with several cars.
- 10:40Speaker 2: They had like flatbeds. They were taking cars away.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Wow. Now, the owner, Daniel Moffatt said, it is something
- 10:46Speaker 1: they are going to get fixed. He said at one
- 10:48Speaker 1: point they had told some cars that had like children's
- 10:51Speaker 1: seats in them. M So his wife personally drove people
- 10:55Speaker 1: to go get their cars to the towyard. And not
- 10:57Speaker 1: only that, they paid to get them out. Wow, because
- 11:00Speaker 1: he said, we want people to have a positive experience.
- 11:02Speaker 1: We want them to come back and something they're going
- 11:03Speaker 1: to get fixed. They did have one hundred and twenty
- 11:06Speaker 1: five space lot to handle the crowds, but that filled up.
- 11:10Speaker 1: And the bank there's a credit union, I believe across
- 11:13Speaker 1: across a small street, like a side street. Yeah, they
- 11:16Speaker 1: could use that as long as it's closed. But people
- 11:19Speaker 1: were parking across Gate Parkway, and so he's going to
- 11:21Speaker 1: go to city leaders today and try and get a
- 11:23Speaker 1: crosswalk some type of light there at Gate Parkway so
- 11:27Speaker 1: that there's parking over there. People said nobody can sit
- 11:30Speaker 1: by a car. But I thought it was great that
- 11:33Speaker 1: they're admitting, hey, we know it's a problem. We want
- 11:35Speaker 1: to do what we can to fix it. He's trying
- 11:37Speaker 1: to run a business and you know, at the same
- 11:38Speaker 1: time trying to help people with their cars. They got
- 11:40Speaker 1: towed because they came to his business.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's that was admirable of them, not
- 11:45Speaker 2: to go hey, not my problem thing. They really wanted
- 11:48Speaker 2: to react, to survive and do well and flourish. And
- 11:52Speaker 2: I know they're doing all they could, but that's a
- 11:54Speaker 2: lot of people might pull away.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Well, I don't know, do you ever go back? You
- 11:58Speaker 1: hope they do.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So if you this weekend, I'd love to hear about it.
- 12:01Speaker 1: If you had a parking issue, we'd like to hear
- 12:03Speaker 1: about that as well, anything to do with it. On
- 12:05Speaker 1: nine oh four, three eight, eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 12:08Speaker 1: If you were at the block Jacks this weekend, Megan,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I know you would love it because it's got live music, Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: food trucks and a dog park.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm really excited.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I have been thinking about this week, going in the
- 12:22Speaker 4: middle of the day when maybe it won't be so
- 12:23Speaker 4: crowded to bring my dog and we can check it
- 12:26Speaker 4: out and see what's going on, because it's just cool.
- 12:29Speaker 3: A dog park.
- 12:31Speaker 1: That's like that.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Daniel Moffatt, the owner, he had that social nice social
- 12:35Speaker 2: that was that was his or his his or whatever,
- 12:38Speaker 2: and so he loves that idea. He's put on music things.
- 12:42Speaker 2: This is finally everything at once instead of just a festival. Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 2: making it every weekend place or every week place. So
- 12:50Speaker 2: wishing well.
- 12:50Speaker 4: You guys were talking about how there's not a whole
- 12:53Speaker 4: lot of variety when it comes to the family events
- 12:56Speaker 4: and new family spaces, right, the same thing with dog
- 13:00Speaker 4: spaces too, Like we just we don't really have that
- 13:04Speaker 4: many choices, I mean, and a lot of them are crowded.
- 13:07Speaker 4: And when I take my dog to a crowded dog park,
- 13:09Speaker 4: you're kind of setting yourself up and other people up
- 13:12Speaker 4: for failure.
- 13:12Speaker 2: So yeah, some people take a dog to a dog park.
- 13:14Speaker 2: You should meet a dog park there. They're closed Monday
- 13:17Speaker 2: and Tuesday. They are so, he was asked. MafA was asked,
- 13:21Speaker 2: he said, I can't build a parking garage. The city's
- 13:23Speaker 2: not going to go for that in the middle of
- 13:24Speaker 2: the Gate parkway. He said a permanent garage is not realistic.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Organizers are exploring other options. He said he's contacted nearby
- 13:30Speaker 2: property owners about using underused office slots and considering valet
- 13:35Speaker 2: or shuttle service. He said it is closing Monday and Tuesday,
- 13:39Speaker 2: today and tomorrow, but they will hit the ground running Wednesday,
- 13:43Speaker 2: Thursday and next weekend. They're going to do all they
- 13:45Speaker 2: can to try and remedy it for weekend number two. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 2: wish them well, wish them well. No, it's a great
- 13:50Speaker 2: idea and it's a I just hope it works out.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's a really cool spot. Yeah, but
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'd love to hear from you if you win. We'd
- 13:57Speaker 1: love to hear all about it. And now four three.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Eight nine years old facing charges after deputy said he
- 14:03Speaker 2: used a Chevy suv Rid with blue flashing lights and
- 14:08Speaker 2: an audible siren to pull over other drivers. We go
- 14:11Speaker 2: to Osciola County. Of course, the guy gets behind like
- 14:14Speaker 2: an eighteen year old driver and then starts flicking the lights.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I'm probably making the siren like that with his mouth. Well,
- 14:22Speaker 2: the eighteen year old acquiesces gets over, My goodness, this
- 14:25Speaker 2: is a compa unorthodox as it may be what I do. Yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 2: And then the guy showed up said you were speeding
- 14:32Speaker 2: and didn't look anything like a police officer, and the
- 14:35Speaker 2: eighteen year old having the wherewithal to go, I don't
- 14:38Speaker 2: believe you. Is there a real officer here to take
- 14:43Speaker 2: care of this? Real cop showed up?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Well afterwards, but that guy just got in his car
- 14:48Speaker 1: and drove fall.
- 14:49Speaker 3: That means using his free will to the fullest.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Mean, so John and I know on Friday, but I
- 15:02Speaker 1: was leaving here Friday afternoon, Ye, walking out the door,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and you said, Hey, I'm going to go deliver some
- 15:07Speaker 1: Habit burger for winter. We did.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I got to meet Jason Carlson. Jason works at Preferred
- 15:13Speaker 2: Materials right there off what is that thing road, Florida
- 15:18Speaker 2: Mining right there off Shad and so it's just a
- 15:21Speaker 2: big old factory, man. I mean you go by there
- 15:23Speaker 2: and you see them making concrete and that's what they do.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And Jason just a great guy, big listener. And we
- 15:30Speaker 2: appreciate that. So I got a chance to meet people
- 15:33Speaker 2: a Habit Burger, went and picked up a whole bunch
- 15:35Speaker 2: of Habit Burger I mean, like thirty burgers. Wow, they
- 15:39Speaker 2: had some onion rings, they had those green bean things. Yep, man,
- 15:43Speaker 2: what was the last thing I said to you? And
- 15:44Speaker 2: when I walked out the door on Friday, I had
- 15:46Speaker 2: to try the green bean thing, tay, And I was like,
- 15:48Speaker 2: you dang right, I'm going to okay.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So today here we are, Monday morning. I walked in, like, John,
- 15:53Speaker 1: what did you think of the green bee trice? I
- 15:55Speaker 1: didn't try him? Why not?
- 15:57Speaker 2: I failed? I panicked. I got the box. The box
- 16:01Speaker 2: was so perfectly packed, and I opened it up and
- 16:04Speaker 2: Jason and I were there and none of his co
- 16:05Speaker 2: workers were in there yet. And I'm in the break
- 16:07Speaker 2: room and I'm opening it up, going, hey, here we go.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And I'm looking myself, going, this is very attractive. Look
- 16:12Speaker 2: it is a wonderful bunch of Habit burgers. When some
- 16:15Speaker 2: of them had onion rings, and then some of them
- 16:17Speaker 2: had the green bean things, and then there's they looked
- 16:19Speaker 2: so good. I didn't want to goof with them.
- 16:21Speaker 3: You should have grabbed him in the car like the
- 16:23Speaker 3: DoorDash drivers.
- 16:24Speaker 4: So you should have just opened that sticker a little
- 16:26Speaker 4: bit and they can pull one out.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I need to get better at that. Yes, look there's
- 16:30Speaker 2: a ten in there, ten in there and then nine
- 16:32Speaker 2: in there. I don't know what. I don't know what's
- 16:34Speaker 2: just showed them. Yeah, but the people at the Habit Burger.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But they were so kind too, they were happy to
- 16:39Speaker 2: partner with us. And she goes, I hope we can
- 16:41Speaker 2: do more of these in the in the future. I
- 16:42Speaker 2: said me too.
- 16:43Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 16:43Speaker 2: We love delivering food. We love meeting our listeners, especially
- 16:46Speaker 2: when they're as cool as Jason Carlson out there at
- 16:48Speaker 2: Preferred Materials.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Oh, and I go get food for Lisa and I.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I make sure to eat a fry out of each side. Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 1: ballows it. Yeah, so that way, I'm like, oh, they
- 16:56Speaker 1: didn't they didn't fill these one up all the way.
- 16:58Speaker 1: So so here you go ahead and take them one
- 16:59Speaker 1: with the few extras in it exactly, Yeah, not knowing
- 17:02Speaker 1: that I've been mowing through both of them all the
- 17:03Speaker 1: way home.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Well, you deserve it. That's your tip that I'm picking.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Up the food, flying and buying and that whole thing correct.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm like, listen, I'm not door dash. I didn't put
- 17:10Speaker 1: a sticker on the bag. I opened it. Yeah, I
- 17:13Speaker 1: had to open and make sure everything was there. That's
- 17:15Speaker 1: why you're missing. But no, they just didn't fill it
- 17:17Speaker 1: up all the way. That's what it was. Find of
- 17:19Speaker 1: the fact that I've got grease on my fingers and
- 17:21Speaker 1: all over my steering wheel and my mouth.
- 17:23Speaker 2: My mouth, yeah, never mind mouth.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Cooke ceros are both also appable.
- 17:29Speaker 2: See here, I had no attention.
- 17:32Speaker 1: They had no attention.

- 18:09Speaker 3: Like you guys are already going to go. Yeah, I
- 18:12Speaker 3: think it's a given.
- 18:12Speaker 2: It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
- 18:15Speaker 4: You guys might as well carpool to save on some
- 18:18Speaker 4: gas because you guys go so much.
- 18:20Speaker 1: They should have a little punch card. Every time you go,
- 18:22Speaker 1: they punch it. I'd get that thing filled up in
- 18:24Speaker 1: a week. I'd have free cookies.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yeah, you guys were free, free access to the forest, free.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Went flyers at publics, I mean public's VIP. Come on,
- 18:35Speaker 1: dear publics. Think about this in the future.
- 18:37Speaker 4: But JAA is trying to help the customers out by
- 18:41Speaker 4: looking at usage. So if you've got a water leak,

- 18:46Speaker 3: There was some scams going on in the.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Past where JAEA was reaching out to people, but it
- 18:49Speaker 4: wasn't really them. So you just call them if you've
- 18:53Speaker 4: got questions and you want to find out if you've
- 18:54Speaker 4: got a leak at that's three things you need to know,

- 22:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Fair foods? Oh man, what's your go to fair foods?
- 22:16Speaker 3: Like?
- 22:16Speaker 2: What do you have to have? Deep fried something?
- 22:19Speaker 1: Me too?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Whatever it is? Whatever? Deep fried something on a stick?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Os yep, Snickers? Have you had a deep fried Oreo
- 22:25Speaker 2: before Megan.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Yes, so good. So everything's better on a stick.
- 22:29Speaker 5: I don't know what.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Deepnickers.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Yes, take a snicker and put it deep fry it.
- 22:37Speaker 2: How do you make a snickers better? Deep fried?
- 22:39Speaker 3: Ooh yuh. I'm like that.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It is fun and I gotta have an elephant here.
- 22:43Speaker 1: What is that?
- 22:44Speaker 2: It's basically fried dough.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Fried dough.
- 22:46Speaker 2: It's fried dough.
- 22:47Speaker 1: They take it, it goes through like a funnel and
- 22:50Speaker 1: they just like a funnel, like a funnel case.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It's like a scribbley line.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they fry it and they lightly they
- 22:56Speaker 1: take it out batter, they put it on a little
- 22:58Speaker 1: piece of paper and then sugar on top of it.
- 23:01Speaker 3: So it's just another name for funnel cake kind.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It's just a different funky little thing. Yeah, okay, it
- 23:06Speaker 2: looks like a flap. You're so good.
- 23:08Speaker 3: That sounds good, man.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I can't wait now now you've got me fair. All
- 23:13Speaker 1: chocolate chip cookies at the fair are good. You get
- 23:15Speaker 1: them warm right out of the oven. Yeah, and they
- 23:18Speaker 1: have milk. You get chocolate chip cookies and milk.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I like that.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I really like that.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, there's some great music there too.
- 23:26Speaker 1: George B. Yeah, yeah, George virgin I and Brett Young,
- 23:29Speaker 1: Bret you, I'm both going to be at the Clay
- 23:31Speaker 1: County Fair Ones Saturday night and I think Easter Sunday
- 23:34Speaker 1: is Sunday night is Brett Yeah, Breight Young.
- 23:36Speaker 6: That's your mutual friend. Yes, so mutual friend, well George
- 23:40Speaker 6: urge Yeah, yeah, George. Yeah, I'm gonna do where. I'm
- 23:43Speaker 6: gonna have a little chocolate George. He blames Brian, but whatever.
- 23:48Speaker 1: But yeah, So we've got tickets for that coming up
- 23:50Speaker 1: right around eight thirty. It was a busy weekend here
- 23:53Speaker 1: in Jacksonville. No, we had some parking issues at the block,
- 23:56Speaker 1: but they are doing all they can to fix that.
- 23:58Speaker 1: They said they're gonna use today and tomorrow while they're closed.
- 24:01Speaker 1: They'll be closed Monday and Tuesday every week. They're going
- 24:04Speaker 1: to use this Monday and Tuesday to try and remedy
- 24:07Speaker 1: find some either get some partnership with some of the
- 24:10Speaker 1: businesses around there where people can park and like you
- 24:13Speaker 1: to still go to the block, or they're gonna meet
- 24:15Speaker 1: with city leaders as well. I don't think of parking
- 24:17Speaker 1: garage is in our future for the block. I don't
- 24:19Speaker 1: think so, and it won't be and here's the deal.
- 24:21Speaker 1: It won't be as busy as it was this weekend
- 24:24Speaker 1: every weekend, right, it's because it's new.
- 24:26Speaker 2: But you seemed like the number of parking spots they
- 24:29Speaker 2: had underestimated the yea, one hundred and twenty five. Yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 2: there's always going to be that many people there. It
- 24:34Speaker 2: seems like if it's that popular. Yeah, one hundred and
- 24:36Speaker 2: twenty five is not that many spots.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Huh no, no, it's not not when you have thousands
- 24:40Speaker 4: of people flocking right.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't like there's a like a Walmart, where
- 24:43Speaker 2: there's one in every neighborhood. This is one of one, right,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and so Jacksonville wants to come have fun at the
- 24:49Speaker 2: new place, and that's what that's why the numbers happen.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Then. Yeah, and you got food trucks. It's a music
- 24:53Speaker 1: venue at dog Park. Like, there's a lot going on,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and it's great. It's wonderful. We need this kind of thing.
- 24:58Speaker 1: It's great to have outdoor food hall. These things are
- 25:02Speaker 1: kind of popping up in big metropolitan areas around the country. Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: so it's nice that we have one, but you want
- 25:08Speaker 1: to make sure that you can, like when you park
- 25:10Speaker 1: your car park, you kid actually get back in your
- 25:13Speaker 1: car and leave. They were doing the right thing over
- 25:15Speaker 1: the weekend. They were helping people get their cars out
- 25:17Speaker 1: of the tow yards. They were paying for it. Yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: but they're going to figure it out. Let's getting do
- 25:22Speaker 1: on Megan's three Things. What is going on on this Jacksonville.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Monday, Well, there was a big plane crash that happened Canada.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Air plane went down trying to land at LaGuardia Airport.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So that airport's closed down.
- 25:35Speaker 4: If you're getting on a flight, you're connecting there or
- 25:37Speaker 4: that's your destination, check your itinerary because the investigation about
- 25:43Speaker 4: what happened is underway. So it's going to be closed
- 25:47Speaker 4: until they said at least two pm today, but that
- 25:50Speaker 4: could extend and be longer.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it seems like it was at air traffic control mistake.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Somebody in air traffic control told both the as the
- 26:00Speaker 1: plane was landing, they gave the okay for the fire
- 26:02Speaker 1: truck which was going to another emergency at the airport
- 26:05Speaker 1: the go across that runway and the plane was traveling
- 26:09Speaker 1: They said approximately twenty five miles an hour when they
- 26:11Speaker 1: hit it something.
- 26:12Speaker 2: A lot of damage for twenty five miles. Yeah, the
- 26:13Speaker 2: damage on the fire truck must have been going faster.
- 26:16Speaker 2: And then I asked John, I mean a fire truck
- 26:18Speaker 2: and an airplane are both two pretty big items. Didn't
- 26:20Speaker 2: one see the other?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Right? And can you?
- 26:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess it's going on.
- 26:24Speaker 4: There's so much going on at airports too, you know,
- 26:26Speaker 4: you got all the different things moving the luggage carts, like, yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 4: well going on. Really tragic because there was a lot
- 26:32Speaker 4: of people that were injured in that, so we just
- 26:35Speaker 4: wanted to give all of our good thoughts and vibes
- 26:37Speaker 4: and prayers to them. Yes, there are some new things
- 26:40Speaker 4: opening up in town. Silver Leaf has the new Publics
- 26:43Speaker 4: that has the big wine bar, expanded deli section that's
- 26:48Speaker 4: opening on the twenty six.
- 26:49Speaker 2: It's supposed to be the biggest publics in North Florida.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think publics should start taking attendance because I'd
- 26:55Speaker 1: love to know how many times I'd go to publics
- 26:57Speaker 1: a week.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I lose track.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You and John would be number one and two on
- 27:01Speaker 3: that line. No one would win that award.
- 27:03Speaker 2: I'm in double digits at publics every week. Oh, at
- 27:05Speaker 2: least sometimes I do go twice. I gotta go all
- 27:07Speaker 2: the way home.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I go twice like every other day.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll go all the way home and then I'll
- 27:11Speaker 2: go again later on.
- 27:13Speaker 3: You guys have a problem.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I mean you could call it that, but I don't know.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Well, there is a place that I think does have
- 27:19Speaker 4: punch cards, Talking Taco. They're opening up their third location
- 27:22Speaker 4: in town. Oak Leaf is getting the newest one, and
- 27:25Speaker 4: I love that place, so check it out.
- 27:27Speaker 3: It's three things you need to know.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Get another check on your Jack's traffic for your Monday
- 27:30Speaker 1: ride in, and don't forget tickets to see George Bird's
- 27:32Speaker 1: And the Clay County Fair coming up right around eight thirty.
- 27:35Speaker 2: How the Roads of John from.
- 27:36Speaker 5: The Closets by Design traffic center.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Normal built around town right now, nothing no lanes or

- 30:27Speaker 2: the last fourteen years and.
- 30:30Speaker 3: It's a group, not a single artist.

- 31:23Speaker 2: all dragon a little bit today. Your allergies tell you
- 31:25Speaker 2: a little bit, Magan.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I've got one of those migraines where everything's
- 31:30Speaker 4: loud and your face just feels tight.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yep, Johnny, Yeah, you're dragging a little bit. Wait, wait,
- 31:36Speaker 2: draggon and I thought I got a good night's sleep,
- 31:38Speaker 2: but it's just one of those you wake up going.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I could sure you some sleep right now. I'm just angry,
- 31:44Speaker 1: gat too angry about missus March's madness thing. I'm telling
- 31:46Speaker 1: right now, I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you you can
- 31:48Speaker 1: record this and you can play it back for me
- 31:50Speaker 1: next year. I ain't filling out another bracket as long
- 31:53Speaker 1: as I live. Never, I ain't doing it no more.
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm over it. I'll like it. It's stressful when I
- 31:59Speaker 1: do it, I suck at it. And last night when
- 32:02Speaker 1: the Gators lost, I'm done. Now we're getting to the
- 32:05Speaker 1: crux of the problem.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Done.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm done with March mad I'm gonna watch March Madness
- 32:09Speaker 1: because I enjoy watching the little small schools out of
- 32:11Speaker 1: nowhere except Iowa play well. I like that. However, there
- 32:17Speaker 1: were thirty million brackets filled out in our country. Yep.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Do you know how many perfect ones are left? Meagan
- 32:24Speaker 2: one zero?
- 32:26Speaker 3: Everyone got blown out.
- 32:27Speaker 1: There were no more perfect brackets after last night's and
- 32:31Speaker 1: that was before the Florida game.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Virginia game. When Virginia lost, that bracket went bye bye.
- 32:37Speaker 2: And that was the last perfect bracket. So if your
- 32:39Speaker 2: brackets are messed up, don't worry. You're not alone. We
- 32:42Speaker 2: all of ours are. I ain't some worse than others.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I ain't doing it no more. Thirty six million brackets
- 32:47Speaker 2: filled out ahead of this year's tournament. According to NCAA
- 32:50Speaker 2: dot com, The longest perfect bracket ever was in twenty nineteen.
- 32:54Speaker 1: It went all the way to forty nine and oh
- 32:56Speaker 1: before missing And how about bad they got the first
- 32:58Speaker 1: forty nine. Yeah, so that's just how it is. You're
- 33:02Speaker 1: going to miss some, it says. After Thursday's game, there
- 33:04Speaker 1: were fourteen thousand perfect brackets. That number dropped at two
- 33:07Speaker 1: twenty four on Friday. Only four survived Saturday's games, and
- 33:11Speaker 1: then Sunday the last four are gone.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Do I need to find you in new TV's your
- 33:16Speaker 4: TV and okay condition after that game?
- 33:18Speaker 1: No, Unfortunately, I need to find five new starters from
- 33:20Speaker 1: my Gator basket time.
- 33:22Speaker 2: It looks like I'm gonna mic need a your head.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Coach because the Carbon baggers in North Carolina are gonna
- 33:27Speaker 1: swipe in and try and steal my coach.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Less, you can go back to your home state allegiance
- 33:31Speaker 2: of when you were born and just become a Carolina fan.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I was a big old Tar Hill fan growing up
- 33:36Speaker 1: as a kid, but the Gators have usurped that by far.
- 33:38Speaker 4: Yeah, you were in North Carolina blue. Today you are?
- 33:41Speaker 2: I thought maybe you were jumping ship already. All right,
- 33:44Speaker 2: lift into Magnus three things. I gotta go find a
- 33:46Speaker 2: shirt to change into it.
- 33:47Speaker 3: It is a nice color.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I love Carolina blue. I will tell you that I
- 33:51Speaker 1: do too. I grew up it was my favorite color
- 33:52Speaker 1: growing up. It's a beautiful color.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I'm a Gator through and through it.

- 33:57Speaker 2: I started a West Side Football Association with my cousin yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 2: and we chose Carolina blue to be the colors, and
- 34:02Speaker 2: it's so cool. It's still those colors forty years after
- 34:06Speaker 2: we started it. And so I see Westside. Its like
- 34:08Speaker 2: there's Westside.
- 34:09Speaker 3: It's awesome. See it is a nice color and it's
- 34:12Speaker 3: in your color.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Palotill around. No more brackets. I'm done with this mess.
- 34:15Speaker 3: We'll see. Let's talk about the Blocks Jacks.
- 34:18Speaker 4: They had their huge grand opening with a gignormous turnout.
- 34:24Speaker 3: There was a.

- 34:28Speaker 4: people that showed up in one hundred and twenty five
- 34:30Speaker 4: parking spaces, which should be a lot, but people were
- 34:33Speaker 4: parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The owner and his wife,
- 34:37Speaker 4: they stepped up to the plate and they actually went
- 34:40Speaker 4: with people to the towing lot because all of their
- 34:42Speaker 4: cars got towed to bust out their cars. So they
- 34:46Speaker 4: paid the bill and they're working on new parking situations too.
- 34:50Speaker 3: So don't want that to ter you.
- 34:51Speaker 4: If you went for the grand opening, you're like, this

- 35:08Speaker 2: So froggy, are we going to carpool there? Yeah, let's okay,
- 35:11Speaker 2: let's go.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You do one day, I'll do the next Thursday Bay
- 35:13Speaker 1: because we got to go more than once.

- 36:44Speaker 3: I'd be like, this is our stop.
- 36:45Speaker 4: She's three years younger than me, So imagine a six
- 36:48Speaker 4: year old saying, Magan, this isn't our stop. Other families
- 36:51Speaker 4: in the neighborhood would come get us to bring us home.
