- 0:00Welcome to Kit Cast Daily, where we bring news, trivia, fun
- 0:04facts, and more just for curious kids like you.
- 0:07Today we're going on an adventure and adventure all
- 0:10about Red Bulls involvement in extreme sports and adventures.
- 0:14Have you ever seen someone flying through the air on a bike
- 0:17or skiing down a mountain faster than a roller coaster?
- 0:20Well, buckle up because we're about to explore the wild, wacky
- 0:25and wonderful world of extreme sports, Red Bull style.
- 0:29Let's start with a simple question, What is Red Bull?
- 0:32You might know Red Bull as a brand of energy drink in a shiny
- 0:35blue and silver can, but Red Bull is also famous for
- 0:38something super cool. They love sports and adventures
- 0:41that are a little, well, extreme.
- 0:43Imagine your regular soccer game or bike ride, but add a turbo
- 0:47boost of excitement, height, speed, and sometimes even a dash
- 0:52of daring. That's what Red Bull Sports and
- 0:54adventures are all about. Red Bull doesn't just sponsor
- 0:57regular sports like soccer or basketball.
- 1:00Instead, they focus on sports that make your heart race.
- 1:04Sports where athletes do flips on bikes, leap off cliffs with
- 1:07parachutes, or even race airplanes.
- 1:10It's like the difference between riding your bike to the park and
- 1:13riding your bike off a giant ramp, soaring through the sky
- 1:16and landing safely on the other side.
- 1:18Sounds amazing, right? Let's dive into some of the
- 1:21coolest Red Bull sports, starting with extreme sports.
- 1:25These are activities that push the limits of what people can
- 1:28do. Imagine skateboarding but on a
- 1:31huge ramp that feels as tall as a house or surfing but on waves
- 1:35as big as a building. Red Bull sponsors athletes who
- 1:38do just that. They help them train, travel and
- 1:42perform in competitions all over the world.
- 1:44One of the most famous Red Bull sports is called Cliff diving.
- 1:48Now, have you ever jumped off the side of a pool into the
- 1:51water below? Cliff diving is like that, but
- 1:54instead of a pool, the divers jump off cliffs as high as a 10
- 1:58story building, sometimes even higher.
- 2:01They twist and spin in the air before splashing down into the
- 2:04water below. It takes lots of practice,
- 2:07courage and skill. Did you know the Red Bull Cliff
- 2:10Diving World Series travels to beautiful places all around the
- 2:13globe, like waterfalls in Italy or seaside cliffs in Portugal?
- 2:17The divers even get scored on how creative and smooth their
- 2:21jumps are. Another super exciting sport is
- 2:24BMX biking. BMX stands for Bicycle
- 2:27Motocross, and it's all about tricks, flips, and jumps on
- 2:30bikes. Imagine riding your bike, but
- 2:33instead of just peddling down the street, you're zooming up
- 2:36ramps, spinning in the air, and landing with style.
- 2:39Red Bull helps organize some of the biggest BMX competitions in
- 2:43the world, like the Red Bull Rampage.
- 2:45In this event, athletes race down Rocky Mountains, jumping
- 2:49over huge gaps and doing tricks that look like something from a
- 2:52video game. If you've ever built a ramp out
- 2:55of cardboard in your backyard and tried to jump over a puddle,
- 2:58you already know the thrill. Let's not forget about
- 3:01skateboarding. Red Bull sponsor skateboarders
- 3:04who do amazing tricks on rails, stairs, and ramps.
- 3:08There's an event called Red Bull Skate Generation where skaters
- 3:12of all ages show off their coolest moves.
- 3:15Some skaters can even spin their boards under their feet while
- 3:18jumping in the air. Kind of like jumping rope, but
- 3:20with a skateboard. Now, what about sports in the
- 3:23air? Red Bull is famous for turning
- 3:26the sky into a playground. Ever heard of skydiving?
- 3:29That's when someone jumps out of an airplane and opens a
- 3:32parachute to land safely on the ground.
- 3:35Red Bull athletes take skydiving to the next level with something
- 3:38called wingsuit flying. Imagine wearing a suit with
- 3:41fabric stretched between your arms and legs, kind of like a
- 3:44flying squirrel. When they jump out of an
- 3:47airplane, they glide through the air before opening their
- 3:50parachutes. Some wingsuit Flyers even race
- 3:53each other down mountainsides, swooping through the air as fast
- 3:57as a car on the highway. And wait, there's more.
- 4:01Red Bull also organizes a race called the Red Bull Air Race.
- 4:04In this race, pilots fly small airplanes through obstacle
- 4:08courses in the sky, weaving between huge inflatable pylons.
- 4:13Imagine your favorite video game, but in real life and up in
- 4:16the clouds. These pilots need amazing skill,
- 4:19quick reflexes, and nerves of steel to fly so fast and close
- 4:24to the ground. Now let's zoom from the sky down
- 4:27to the snow. Red Bull loves winter sports
- 4:29too. Have you ever tried skiing or
- 4:32snowboarding? Red Bull sponsors athletes who
- 4:34do amazing tricks on snowy mountains, flipping, spinning
- 4:38and even sliding down rails. There's even a crazy event
- 4:42called Red Bull Crashed Ice, where skaters race down an icy
- 4:46track full of twists, turns and jumps.
- 4:49It's like a roller coaster, but on ice skates.
- 4:52But Red Bull doesn't just stick to land, air or snow.
- 4:56They love water sports, too. Ever seen someone ride a jet ski
- 5:00or surf a big wave? Red Bull supports athletes who
- 5:03do all sorts of water stunts from wakeboarding, which is like
- 5:07snowboarding on water, to kite surfing where you use a giant
- 5:10kite to pull you across the waves.
- 5:12There's even a Red Bull event called Red Bull Storm Chase
- 5:16where windsurfers chase the biggest storms to ride the
- 5:19wildest waves. You might be thinking, how do
- 5:22these athletes do such amazing things?
- 5:25Well, it takes tons of training, practice, and courage.
- 5:30Red Bull helps athletes by giving them places to practice,
- 5:33coaches to help them improve, and events where they can show
- 5:36off their skills. They also help share these
- 5:39adventures with the world by making cool videos and movies so
- 5:42everyone can watch from home. Now here's a did you know
- 5:46moment. Did you know that Red Bull once
- 5:48helped a man named Felix Baumgartner jump from the edge
- 5:51of space? That's right, he went up in a
- 5:54special balloon all the way to the stratosphere, which is
- 5:57higher than airplanes fly. Then he jumped out and free fell
- 6:01back to earth, going faster than the speed of sound.
- 6:05It was called the Red Bull Stratos mission and it broke
- 6:08world records. Imagine jumping from a place so
- 6:11high you could see the curve of the earth.
- 6:13Red Bull also loves creativity and fun.
- 6:16They organize silly and imaginative events too.
- 6:20One of the most famous is the Red Bull Flood tag, which is
- 6:23German for Flying day. In this event, people build
- 6:27their own flying machines, sometimes shaped like Dragons,
- 6:31ducks or even giant hamburgers, and try to fly them off a
- 6:35platform into the water. Most of them don't fly very far,
- 6:38but everyone has a blast and cheers for the wildest
- 6:41inventions. Let's talk about teamwork.
- 6:44Many Red Bull sports are about individual athletes, but there
- 6:47are team events too. For example, Red Bull sponsors
- 6:51soccer tournaments, car races, and even E sports where teams
- 6:55play video games together in big competitions.
- 6:58No matter what the sport, working together and supporting
- 7:01your friends is always important.
- 7:04So why does Red Bull do all this?
- 7:07Well, they believe in inspiring people to push their limits, try
- 7:11new things, and have adventures. They want people to see that
- 7:15with practice, creativity, and a bit of courage, you can achieve
- 7:19amazing things, whether you're jumping off a Cliff, skating
- 7:22down an icy track, or just trying something new in your own
- 7:25backyard. Let's go over some of the
- 7:27coolest facts we learned today. Red Bull isn't just an energy
- 7:31drink. They're all about adventure and
- 7:33excitement. They sponsor extreme sports like
- 7:36Cliff diving, BMX, biking, skateboarding, and wing suit
- 7:40flying. Red Bull hosts wild races in the
- 7:42air, on snow, on water, and even in video games.
- 7:47They help athletes train, compete, and share their stories
- 7:50with the world, and they love creativity, teamwork, and having
- 7:54fun, whether it's breaking world records or launching homemade
- 7:58flying machines into the water. Remember, you don't have to jump
- 8:02off a Cliff or ride a bike down a mountain to have an adventure.
- 8:05Trying something new, practicing a skill, or even building a fun
- 8:10obstacle course in your backyard can be your own version of a Red
- 8:13Bull adventure. It's all about being curious,
- 8:16brave, and a little bit creative.
- 8:18That's all for today's episode of Kid Cast Daily.
- 8:21We hope you had fun learning about Red Bull sports and
- 8:24adventures. Keep exploring, keep asking
- 8:26questions, and who knows, maybe your next adventure is just
- 8:30around the corner. Thanks for listening, and we'll
- 8:33catch you on the next kick Cast Daily.
