- 0:00Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Three O Take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes it.
- 0:11All starts. Right now, welcome back to the
- 0:16Three O Take presented by C Kick.
- 0:17This is episode 430. I'll be your host, Kyle Corn,
- 0:23and I'm here with my Co host Nate Reyes night.
- 0:45We back, we're good. We're good.
- 0:47OK, tough start. Here we go.
- 0:50All right, we're officially on a streak now, by the way.
- 0:53I've made two episodes in a row, so they call that a streak.
- 0:56I think maybe. What's the line for Major
- 1:02League? You win one.
- 1:06We won yesterday. Yeah.
- 1:09We won today, we win tomorrow. That's called a winning streak.
- 1:12All right, So maybe I need. I need.
- 1:14All right, That's fair. That's fine.
- 1:16That's cool. It's acceptable.
- 1:19May not make it to a third in a row if your Internet keeps
- 1:22acting up the way. They expected time.
- 1:24No, I don't get it. It's.
- 1:26Fine, what do? We pay for, you know what I
- 1:28mean? Like what?
- 1:28What are we paying for in reality?
- 1:32Yeah. What's going on there?
- 1:33They expect that monthly payment every month, Yeah, but you know,
- 1:38it's fine if if. It's cutting out in the middle
- 1:41of important things. Internet just drops out in the
- 1:43middle of podcast episode It's fine.
- 1:46Hey look we're we're past the month into the season mark but
- 1:52wanted to get your take on. I didn't.
- 1:56I didn't necessarily tell you I was going to ask you this, kind
- 1:58of putting on the spot here, but.
- 1:59Sounds about right. What's something around the
- 2:04league, A-Team, a player that has piqued your interest a
- 2:08little bit, that maybe you're keeping an eye on or maybe
- 2:13watching a little bit more of in 2024 than years or seasons past?
- 2:20Is there is there a A-Team or a player out there in particular
- 2:26that that has moved the needle for you?
- 2:35Team wise I you know me like I never really.
- 2:40I just have my false hope in my my own team Player wise, I
- 2:51there's been a few I've noticed I was actually going to save
- 2:54this for the end but I keep seeing like Jung Hu Lee
- 3:00defensive highlights and I'm like, I don't think we knew, you
- 3:05know, I don't think we were aware of what this guy was
- 3:07capable of. Grandson of the wind, I believe
- 3:10they called him. It's a sick nickname.
- 3:14That's fire. Yeah, that for sure has me, Has
- 3:18me going a little bit. Let me think here.
- 3:23I would say it a lot of the other names are kind of typical
- 3:32like, you know, just like normal names.
- 3:34Ellie de la Cruz, like doing what, you know, doing what he's
- 3:37doing. It's just anytime you see, like
- 3:41when you're scrolling, you see these names, you're like, I have
- 3:44to stop and watch. It's kind of that I I feel a
- 3:47little bit of that going. I think it's just the normal
- 3:53names outside of that man, like the typical household names.
- 3:57I think I'm trying to come up with like a like an under the
- 4:00radar pick, but I don't really have anything.
- 4:03Like everything's just looked looks solid like Mason Miller
- 4:07with the A's. Like that's just fun to watch.
- 4:09Like that's that's just craziness.
- 4:15I think Clay Holmes, you know like as it to be a little bit of
- 4:18a Homer here. I feel like Clay Holmes is
- 4:19starting to get more attention. I saw like the Brandon Hyde
- 4:24interview after one of the games that the Orioles series, and he
- 4:28was like, that's just, it's absurd, you know?
- 4:32So yeah, it's just baseball, man.
- 4:37It just feels good to have it back.
- 4:38It's still, I'm still in this weird period because of like the
- 4:41wedding and the honeymoon. Like it's still surreal to me
- 4:44that, like we're actually in the season.
- 4:46And I'm sure a lot of you guys have been like, I'm over that.
- 4:49Like, I that faded away a couple weeks ago for me.
- 4:52I'm still like, I've had to play catch up from being gone and out
- 4:56of the country for a week and then also like all the wedding,
- 5:00you know, festivities leading up.
- 5:03So I'm still like trying to find.
- 5:05I'm still trying to settle in for 2024.
- 5:08I mean opening day. Opening Day for you is basically
- 5:11like 3 days ago. For I know that's that's legit.
- 5:14Like what it was. Yeah.
- 5:15That's kind of what we're building off of.
- 5:17Yeah, it's a weird year for me. This is just been a weird
- 5:20season. Alright with it, it's cool.
- 5:23It's been a weird year of baseball.
- 5:25So. Every time I look at the
- 5:27standings, I'm like, I'm surprised.
- 5:29Like, I don't know how this happened for a lot of teams, but
- 5:33I'm here for it. I'm cool with.
- 5:34It no, it falls right in line. It's it like I said, it's the
- 5:38same thing going on with the baseball season right now.
- 5:42I feel like we have this conversation every year when
- 5:44when is the for you? It doesn't have to be the answer
- 5:48for everybody, but for you personally.
- 5:49When what? What, at what point of the
- 5:52season do we do We get to where we go?
- 5:54OK, we can start evaluating these teams, these players,
- 5:58these hot streaks, these slumps for what they for what they are.
- 6:04Yeah, yeah, I got you. Not that it's like not an
- 6:08irreversible point. You know what I mean?
- 6:11Like not like they can't recover.
- 6:12But I feel like June, like when May ends and June, June starts,
- 6:18I'm like I think this is who they're going to be all year and
- 6:22they not not like you have your exceptions like you have your
- 6:25guys that can have a hot month and kind of battle back or like
- 6:28fight back and and some of their stats that they're seeing on the
- 6:30big board. But like yeah, I think two
- 6:33months because at that point what that's how many a BS is
- 6:39that. I mean that's that's like 200,
- 6:42yeah, 180 a hundred and 8200. ABS quick math, yeah.
- 6:46Yeah, and you know me, like we always should say, they know us
- 6:51because we always lean hitters. But like pitchers, you know, if
- 6:58you're healthy, that's like you're you're, you know, 1011
- 7:02starts in. Yeah, somewhere around that
- 7:06range, you know what I mean? I I think that I think that's a
- 7:09fair answer and I I think what you were getting at, correct me
- 7:15if I'm wrong here, I think what you were trying to hint at was
- 7:20it's not that things can change throughout the remainder of the
- 7:22season, but the trajectory of their season is kind of set on
- 7:27its course. It's either they're either going
- 7:28to be trending a little bit upward or trending downward.
- 7:32Or you're like fighting to recover from your start.
- 7:35Right, right. But at least the direction that
- 7:39they're headed, it has been determined and from that point
- 7:42you, you see adjustments made throughout the rest of the
- 7:45season. But guys, I would, I would
- 7:47venture to say two months in the season are going to be a little
- 7:51bit more solidified and like award conversations like I think
- 7:55and then it comes to mind Tariq Skubal having a great start to a
- 7:59year, but I think if he, if he hits June still pitching the way
- 8:03he is, OK. Tariq Scooble is going to be a a
- 8:08remaining name, a contending name for the Cy Young by season
- 8:1210. Situations like that where you
- 8:14can look at it and go, OK, they're here for for the long
- 8:16run. Yeah, and like potential
- 8:18sophomore slumps, like another name, like Corbin Carroll has
- 8:21got a lot of people worried right now.
- 8:22I'm not worried, worried. I'm a little sweating.
- 8:25There's a little, there's a little moisture on the brow.
- 8:28Right now. But end of May, beginning of
- 8:34June, that's where I'm like I think we're we're we're in the
- 8:39middle of it. You know like it's it's it's
- 8:42hard to recover from 2 bad months And for me I don't know
- 8:46like I think we agree here like March is March is awash like
- 8:51March is nothing. I don't even really consider
- 8:55Baseball March to count. Three to five games.
- 8:59Yeah. Like April and May are where,
- 9:01yeah, we get our first taste test, so.
- 9:06For the record, I've been well documented.
- 9:09Yeah, you believe that April first should?
- 9:11Be April first, not a day, not a day earlier that that's all I'll
- 9:16say on that matter. Yeah.
- 9:19With that said, little over a little over a month in some
- 9:23narratives are starting to build.
- 9:25Some stores are starting to be created, but I think one story
- 9:29that we did not see coming this early in the season was the Luis
- 9:33Arayas trade from the Marlins to the Padres.
- 9:38At what point do the San Diego Padres stop acquiring middle
- 9:42infielders because they're well on their way to acquiring every
- 9:47last one? Yeah, a little confused.
- 9:54I don't hate it because like when you add that, you know,
- 9:57like a a batting title type guy to your to your lineup, it's
- 10:01like you can't complain about it.
- 10:03But like who's the odd man out here, you know?
- 10:11And I was looking up numbers because again, like I'm, I'm
- 10:14playing catch up. And I was curious to see because
- 10:20like Tyler Wade, you know, former Yankee, like I, you know,
- 10:24that name kind of jumps out to me, has had a lot of games.
- 10:28He's had a lot of ABS. And then I was like, well,
- 10:31what's up with Manny Machado? Manny Machado has barely played
- 10:37third base. Like, what is that about?
- 10:40Like, how did we go from Manny Machado, best defensive
- 10:46infielder in the game to like, you're 31 and now you're
- 10:51basically ADH 70% of the time? Is that a health thing?
- 10:57Like, I don't follow the Padres enough to know, are we managing
- 11:01Manny's health? And then you have like the slow
- 11:05start from Xander, like Louisa Rice can also play first base.
- 11:11We've seen him do that too. But like, Jake Cronenworth is
- 11:15off to a pretty decent start. Like Hassan Kim, like you made
- 11:21that move. So like you doubling down on
- 11:23Haasan Kim being being the short stop.
- 11:25So like, I don't know what's going on, but they're hitting.
- 11:31I think I saw that. They're like team average is
- 11:35like 250 which is 5th or 6th in the league.
- 11:40I don't know just pulling numbers out of my butt.
- 11:44But the the weird thing for me is the is the Manny Machado
- 11:49stuff. Like the, yeah, five games at
- 11:54third base this year, 27 at DH. So, like, what's that about?
- 12:02What are we doing there? What are we?
- 12:04What are we paying him for? I have possibly an unpopular
- 12:12opinion on the matter of Luis Rise presumably being the
- 12:17primary DH for the Padres as well as reported.
- 12:23Is this Is this old fashioned to say that I don't think that the
- 12:28DH role should be filled by a contact hitter like is that?
- 12:32Is that lame of me to say? Is that old fashioned?
- 12:35Is that old head the designated hitter Historically up until, I
- 12:46mean you could even say including 2024 because I feel
- 12:49like the the majority of teams out there are using that as a as
- 12:54a slot to slide in a league average to above average power
- 13:00bat. And then the Padres are going,
- 13:04no, we're going to take this generation's Tony Gwynn and slot
- 13:08them into the DH role, which that's a whole another
- 13:11conversation that we have to get into.
- 13:12But I don't. I don't it doesn't make sense
- 13:17why I I I will say I I agree with the move on buying low.
- 13:23I don't know quite what I mean. I I know the names but I don't
- 13:27know ranking wise in terms of what kind of haul it took to to
- 13:32get Louis rise. So I.
- 13:34I was thinking it was a 6th and 9th ranked prospect.
- 13:38OK, so I mean. Seriously.
- 13:42You buy low. Like I agree with that element
- 13:44of it because the the Marlins quite literally came out and
- 13:47said like, hey, not our year and everybody with eyes can see
- 13:51that. So I I I agree from it from that
- 13:54point of view, but the fit doesn't make sense.
- 13:58The fit on the on the Padres side, the timing for the Marlins
- 14:04for me. Like what?
- 14:05If you know that, If you know that now, you're going to know
- 14:09that when the value starts rising.
- 14:13Like, give some of these other teams an opportunity to maybe
- 14:20have a guy like, you know, slumping or maybe have an injury
- 14:22that happens. Like the value can rise as the
- 14:26season goes on. I don't see the rush to make
- 14:31this move for the Marlins. I Everything about the Marlins
- 14:36has been just surrounded by question marks for like a full
- 14:41straight year. I feel like I don't know what's
- 14:46happening. Like the like the the GM move,
- 14:48like the the skip, like letting him out and then like the the
- 14:53like. Now the Pablo move is like
- 14:55officially like that book ends. So now you technically gave up
- 15:00Pablo for a batting title season out of Horizon and like 6th and
- 15:089th ranked prospects and the Padres.
- 15:11Which, Not to mention that batting the batting title season
- 15:14ended in a wild card sweep at the hands of the Phillies last
- 15:17year. So.
- 15:18Like what? I don't understand.
- 15:22I would have, I would have sat on this.
- 15:24That's like, that's if you know what this season is, which,
- 15:28which, like I think if anyone's being being objective here.
- 15:31Like we understand that the Marlins were going to have this
- 15:34season and I think everyone saw it.
- 15:36The writing was on the wall coming into the season.
- 15:38It's a month in. We knew what they were starting
- 15:41with. They we know like their lack of
- 15:43depth. This doesn't stop being the
- 15:46narrative in June, July, but like at that point you may have
- 15:54more bidders. At that point you may have more
- 16:02value. I I don't understand the timing.
- 16:04No, it's a great point. And the when I when I was when I
- 16:09mentioned the fact that they basically came out and said,
- 16:11yeah, this is not our year, I was referencing the quote by
- 16:15president there, the team president, Peter Bendix, where
- 16:18he came out in. Goob, by the way, looks like a
- 16:21straight Goob. Yep.
- 16:22Straight out of analytics, University came out full
- 16:27transparency, said we are unlikely to make the playoffs
- 16:29this year. It's like Peter, we get it.
- 16:35You know that. We know that.
- 16:37Your team knows that. The league knows that.
- 16:43But don't, to your point, Nate, don't show your hand this early.
- 16:47Don't Just don't just fold this early.
- 16:50Because while the while the the postseason is certainly out of
- 16:53the picture, you can still utilize the time that is in
- 16:57front of you. Yeah, and I'm not a baseball
- 17:00president, but I feel like it's pretty simple to see that you
- 17:03use the time that's before you between now and the deadline to
- 17:08increase his value. Right.
- 17:11And I maybe the, I think I saw somewhere that was like the 20
- 17:14they have the 29th ranked farm system in baseball.
- 17:19It's not good. I don't think it was in good
- 17:21shape. At all, Yeah, that would make
- 17:23sense. So at that point, like, what's
- 17:26the rush like? It's not like someone in AAA is
- 17:29knocking on the door. Like I need to get Major League
- 17:32time in. So keep going.
- 17:36But I'm just saying, like, I don't it doesn't make sense to
- 17:38make that move. You're already, you're already
- 17:42in the hole. I'm not saying don't make that
- 17:46move. I'm saying why now?
- 17:49Why May 4th or third whenever it went down trash Padres wise.
- 17:59I mean again just going back to the question like who's the odd
- 18:03man out the the outfield looks sets Profar Merrill looks like
- 18:09he's off to a good start. Right.
- 18:11This is Tatis is doing. Yeah Profar is Profar.
- 18:15Hold on yeah Profar is doing Profar stuff like the last.
- 18:18I don't know. It was like the second-half of
- 18:20last year and then Jackson Merrill looks like he's.
- 18:25Settling in nicely. I don't know.
- 18:27Like Rookie of the Year maybe? This is from the ESPN report
- 18:34regarding the plan that's in place for the the Padres lineup
- 18:41says Louise Rise is expected to start games as the Padres
- 18:45designated hitter, but the club plans to cycle through the DH
- 18:47spot. Jake Cronoworth, Xander Bogarts
- 18:49and Manny Machado could also get a pass there.
- 18:52Bogarts has been the club starting second baseman.
- 18:55So who plays third? Like, because you can't just say
- 19:00I'm going to rotate through DH and not include Tyler Wade in
- 19:03the conversation, if that's who your primary third baseman is,
- 19:07who I think has had the most games at third base this year.
- 19:14All I know is that you can make this real easy on yourself.
- 19:19Free up a little bit of a log jam, do what you got to do.
- 19:24Eat whatever, preferably the entire contract.
- 19:29Eat the entire contract and send Xander back to Boston for league
- 19:32minimum. And there you go.
- 19:36You fix, you fix your issue. You fix your issue.
- 19:40Do do what the Marlins did. Eat the contract the Marlins are
- 19:46eating? Let me got the numbers here.
- 19:49Miami is paying San Diego 77 million, 898,000,602 dollars of
- 19:56the 8,491,398 remaining for the final days of Arises contract.
- 20:06Padres are paying $592,796 for Luis Rise.
- 20:20Yeah, come to think of it, outside of Manny, they their
- 20:24entire infielder is just a bunch of second baseman.
- 20:27Like when you. Break a bunch of It's a bunch of
- 20:30middle infielders. That's entirely my point.
- 20:33Like Jake Cronenworth, like it. I don't.
- 20:36We didn't really get the move to over to first base and I know
- 20:39he's been there most of the time for the last few years, but like
- 20:44I don't. I haven't looked at numbers.
- 20:45I don't know if he ranks as like an above average first baseman.
- 20:50Am I crazy? Was was Jerkson Profar in the
- 20:54infield? I think he played a little first
- 20:56base last year too. I swear he was elsewhere in the
- 21:05infield, but maybe not. Yeah, he yeah, he played short
- 21:11for the Rangers back in 18. He's bopped around the outfield,
- 21:16has played first, played, second played.
- 21:20Yeah, he's played every, literally everywhere in the
- 21:22infield. In fact, he has played
- 21:26everywhere except pitching and catching, and I'm sure that's
- 21:34that's coming at some point too. He's had two games at first base
- 21:37this year already, so yeah. What is happening offload Xander
- 21:44and make this easy for yourself, Padres.
- 21:46That's all you got to do. You're saving money from.
- 21:50Are you chalking that up as a country?
- 21:52Are you chalking that up as a no Xander?
- 21:56Xander. In a Padre uniform like you're
- 21:58just Are we over it? I hate it.
- 22:01I hate. I know you hate it, but like.
- 22:02And look. Look, I got to objectively like
- 22:05being non bias. Yeah, no, I'm I'm chalking up.
- 22:11I'll go on record as Xander. I'm chalking up Xander, Senor as
- 22:14a Padre, as short as it may be, as a failure and what's to come,
- 22:17I'm going to just preemptively chalk it up as a failure
- 22:20because. And it's not a knock on him.
- 22:24It's because he I'd. I don't know the guy I would
- 22:29venture to say never fully got happy there never fully got
- 22:33settled in because he wanted to stay in Boston and I don't think
- 22:37that he could I I don't think he ever shook that and and and
- 22:44that's contributed that's a leading people to say that
- 22:47Xander is washed that he's in decline which I do not believe
- 22:52to be true. He's not going to be a elite
- 22:58shortstop for you, but he's going to be above league average
- 23:01despite the numbers that are currently reflecting right now.
- 23:06And I think he can give you that elsewhere, preferably Boston.
- 23:11He's not going to give that to you in in San Diego.
- 23:14I hate to say it, but yeah, I'm, I'm chalking that up as a nail.
- 23:17So bring bring our boy back home and we'll we'll get, we'll get
- 23:21him back into shape. Whatever.
- 23:26Who's next for the Marlins? Which by the way, last thing
- 23:30I'll say on that, a lot of Red Sox fans wild and yes, I'm a Red
- 23:37Sox fan myself, so I'm not trying to like alienate myself
- 23:39here. But there are a a a number of
- 23:42Red Sox fans that are acting like all of a sudden the depth
- 23:46that we have on this roster warrants not not needing Xander
- 23:52Bogart's back in a hypothetical situation.
- 23:55I'm like this was not the song we were singing a month ago.
- 24:00So don't, don't all of a sudden, just because we're winning some
- 24:03ball games, don't all of a sudden act like we're too good
- 24:06for Xander Bogart's. Because if you recall this team,
- 24:12Raphaela. Been doing.
- 24:14Raphaela's been great. They they should have had.
- 24:17Yeah. He had a great day to play
- 24:18today. I think he hit one out.
- 24:20Actually, yeah, he did. I had to listen to it on the
- 24:22radio, 'cause we were driving home, but Raphael's been doing
- 24:26great. But I'd have to check the
- 24:29numbers. But as of like three to four
- 24:33days ago, worst defensive team in baseball.
- 24:36Not to say that, not to say that Xander's going to fix your
- 24:40defensive woes single handedly, but just collectively speaking
- 24:45to the caliber of player that we we had and still do have on the
- 24:50Red Sox, they just happen to be playing a little better.
- 24:52So that's all I'll say on that matter.
- 24:54What was your question for me before I jumped in with that?
- 24:58Just Raphael. I mean, he has he?
- 25:00No. No, no, you're asking about the
- 25:01Marlins. You're asking.
- 25:03About the Marlins, yeah, I'm assuming there's some arms that
- 25:10are going to be offloaded at some point.
- 25:12Yeah. So who's next and when?
- 25:16You can go ahead and chalk up Lizardo, right?
- 25:23Oh. Forgot to mention, the Luis Arai
- 25:25is not a total rental. He doesn't become free until
- 25:30after next year, so that's kind of nice.
- 25:35That's a budgetary pick up anyway.
- 25:40Lizardo's rehabbing in in Low A. In fact, I think he went today.
- 25:44Did you see? He went today 5 2/3, one hit,
- 25:49six KS. Yeah, he'll, he'll be gone.
- 25:53I mean, if you're going to start, if you're going to start
- 25:55at the top with Ryze Lizardo's next.
- 25:59I feel like we got to move on. Feel like we're, we're going
- 26:01deep on the Padres Marlins here. Yeah, that.
- 26:04That'll about do it. We'll see you guys now.
- 26:06I'm just kidding. Dodgers sweep the Braves.
- 26:09That's next on our list. I saw a note that the Braves
- 26:15again. I was out this weekend.
- 26:17We're at the Outer Banks, celebrating Rookie's first
- 26:22birthday. There you go.
- 26:24And Meredith's birthday. But rookie's was today.
- 26:28Meredith is tomorrow. It's crazy that the dog comes
- 26:33first, but that's fair. Well, I get it.
- 26:35He's. Born he was born the 5th, quite
- 26:37literally comes. First, I hear.
- 26:40You in the in the in the in the Roman calendar as as we say.
- 26:50Dodgers. The Braves.
- 26:51Dodgers. Braves.
- 26:51Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Yep, Yep.
- 26:53That's where we're at. Dodger sweep the Braves.
- 26:55But like I said, I was out this weekend so I wasn't aware of the
- 26:58implications coming into the into the series.
- 27:02But I saw a note that said the Braves arrives arrived in Dodger
- 27:05Stadium with the best record in the majors, though they left
- 27:08with the second best record in their division.
- 27:10So not again to reiterate, it's the first week of May.
- 27:17No reason to freak out over jumps or drops in standings such
- 27:22as that. But it was it was of note that
- 27:26even just a three-game series could could change the the
- 27:30narrative that much. So I think you mentioned oh that
- 27:36was what I didn't. I didn't look up.
- 27:37You mentioned Shohei hit a ball like 600 feet today.
- 27:40Yeah, he hit 2 today. I think it was 460 to left
- 27:46center. What?
- 27:51464. What an alien dude.
- 27:57Off AJ Minter. Left, left.
- 28:00That's right. Where's this ball go?
- 28:03Yeah, that's a that's a shock. Dude, like, I don't think people
- 28:06understand that. Like, whatever.
- 28:09It's maybe they do. Yeah, Dodgers are banging, dude.
- 28:16I mean, Muncie's rolling, Shohei doing Shohei things.
- 28:23I think Tay Oscar got a couple clutch knocks too.
- 28:27Braves are just, yeah, it's all good, just a little smudge on
- 28:32the schedule. Like, I don't think it's that
- 28:34big of a deal. I don't think it's time to sweat
- 28:36it. Obviously still off to a good
- 28:38start. You mentioned the Dodgers just
- 28:43banging it. Over the last 12 games they have
- 28:48an 884 OPS and on the pitching side they have a 182 ERA team
- 28:54wise, which are both tops and the majors.
- 28:57We know the starting rotation is going to be be doing their
- 29:00thing. I think the the back end is
- 29:02still a little bit of a. And Bueller?
- 29:06Bueller comes off the IL soon, right?
- 29:09Is it tomorrow? Yeah.
- 29:11So. Add more, man, rich get richer.
- 29:17I got it real tough over there. Yeah, yeah, I don't think
- 29:23anybody in Braves Country is worried.
- 29:25Feel free to pop into the chat if you are, which is would be
- 29:28crazy. I'm being, I'm being accused of
- 29:39having full on allegiance to the Phillies in the chat right now.
- 29:42I don't appreciate it. I don't understand why this is a
- 29:46narrative that's being built. This this narrative has been
- 29:48brewing for the last calendar year.
- 29:51Incredible how you have a blind spot to how self induced this
- 29:56is. Do you brought this upon
- 29:58yourself Sir? Especially come October.
- 30:03Ask me how I've brought this on myself.
- 30:06Show me where my bias lies. The Bryce Bias has bled into
- 30:11Philly bias. That's that goes back to DC,
- 30:15What are we talking about? That's not even.
- 30:17It's, it's but the Philly the Philly love has has far exceeded
- 30:22the national love. Trey.
- 30:25My love for Trey also goes back to DC.
- 30:28It's a there's a lot going on. There's a lot Schwarber, There's
- 30:31a lot that it's like. Boston.
- 30:33Yeah, that's what I mean. It's all kind.
- 30:35Of and DC. Yeah, it's all kind of.
- 30:38People forget, people forget. A lot of these guys played right
- 30:43down the road and that's that's where that's where the
- 30:46appreciation was rooted. That's where it began.
- 30:51So stop accusing me of being this die hard Phillies fan.
- 30:54I'm not a die hard Phillies fan. I had a choice.
- 30:58Be talking about the Braves, So this shows how much.
- 31:02I had a choice this year to go to.
- 31:05Speaking of Braves, I had a choice to go to Opening Day this
- 31:07year between the Phillies and Braves because it was right up.
- 31:09Well, I say right up the road, what, a couple hours up the road
- 31:13to Philly? I could have went to that, but I
- 31:15chose not to 'cause I didn't want to be accused of crap like
- 31:17this throughout the year. But it seems like opening.
- 31:19Day. Opening day would have really
- 31:21brought that down on you, for sure.
- 31:23Yeah, no one. No one in Atlanta or outside of
- 31:30Atlanta coming out of the woodwork the last few year.
- 31:32Brave fans, that's all hyphenated, by the way.
- 31:36Needs to be worried. It's 20 and 12.
- 31:40Little bit of a skid the last 10.
- 31:43I've dropped the last three obviously with the sweep, but
- 31:45like I don't. I'm not where I would be a
- 31:47little concerned pitching wise. I think everyone knows that.
- 31:51Obvious reasons. Again, I was gone for 10 days,
- 31:54but like Strider going down is going to leave a pretty big
- 31:57hole. But they'll figure it out, man.
- 32:01Like has has again. I was out this weekend.
- 32:06I apologize. Has Max Freed made his?
- 32:10Yeah, I like how people are listening and they're like these
- 32:12guys haven't even watched baseball.
- 32:14I did watch baseball this weekend, but specifically not
- 32:17the Braves. Again, how would you expect me
- 32:19to if apparently I'm a die hard Phillies fan?
- 32:21Why would I watch the Braves has Has Max Reed made his his recent
- 32:27start? He's due up here shortly, isn't
- 32:28he? Or did he go this weekend?
- 32:30You're asking the wrong guy again.
- 32:32OK. Well, that's helpful.
- 32:34I It's like baseball has been like shoved down my throat with
- 32:40trying to absorb all of the things.
- 32:43He went. He went today.
- 32:44Yeah, yeah, yeah. That OK?
- 32:45Yeah. That's what I thought I knew he
- 32:46was. He was due around the turn here
- 32:49soon. He went today.
- 32:50And. That's right, Shohei.
- 32:52Give a 4 / 7. Yaya.
- 32:56OK, Yeah, I'm gonna need he. He had that.
- 33:00He had that bright spot against the Marlins, But the Marlins are
- 33:04happy Cinco. De Mayo by the way, what's that
- 33:07about? Do you know what that is?
- 33:08I'm I'm the one that's Mexican. But like, what's what's so good
- 33:12about Cinco de Mayo? It's rookie's birthday, I know
- 33:14that. It's easy to remember.
- 33:18Yeah, that's you got some easy, you got some easy anniversaries.
- 33:24I do, yeah. Wedding anniversary.
- 33:26New Year's Eve for the wedding anniversary.
- 33:28Never forget that one. Yeah.
- 33:31Cinco de Mayo. Love that you can remember my
- 33:35birthday because of Meredith's being so close.
- 33:38Like it all works out for. You my birthday typically kicks
- 33:43off the post season slash ends the regular season depending
- 33:48upon the the flow of that given year.
- 33:50So a. Good way to look at it all.
- 33:52Good. All good benchmarks.
- 33:53All good checkpoints. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:00What do the Braves have coming up?
- 34:01But Freed, as I was saying for Freed, he had that he had that
- 34:05bright spot against the Marlins. But I'm going to need to see a
- 34:08little bit more consistency out of out of his stars before I can
- 34:11feel confident in that again. So to your to your point, yeah,
- 34:15going to need to see a little bit more pitching wise.
- 34:21Think Bryce, Elder. Bryce Elder's not doing half
- 34:23bad, despite Braves fans seemingly not wanting him to be
- 34:28as much a part of the mix as he is or is poised to be.
- 34:35They they don't come off as a a bunch that's easily satisfied,
- 34:40you know? No, no.
- 34:43I sure the last couple stars have been, yeah.
- 34:46But the Braves, I mean, moving forward, they're going to go two
- 34:50against the Sox, three against the Mets, three against the
- 34:53Cubs, four against the Padres, three more against the Cubs,
- 34:57then close it out with close out the month with Pirates, Gnats,
- 35:01and first game of the set with with the A's.
- 35:05They're probably going to have a pretty good May.
- 35:07So no need to worry. And it's the Dodgers this is
- 35:12They're the regular season heroes.
- 35:14That's what we're used to. To that point about not being
- 35:20easily satisfied for Braves fans, I was looking for a tweet
- 35:22and I found it. Shout out Bronx Bombers on on
- 35:26Twitter, he said. He quote tweeted.
- 35:29Bean eater buzz Braves guy. He said this fan base is such a
- 35:35miserable bunch. And then Bronx Bombers quote,
- 35:38Dom quote, tweeted said something about Braves fans ever
- 35:41being upset really doesn't sit right with me.
- 35:43They're 20 and 11 with a young, talented core.
- 35:45They're coming off six straight division titles and they won a
- 35:48World Series ring three years ago.
- 35:50I swear, if the Yankees had that, I would never in all caps
- 35:54be upset. The most valid tweet I've read
- 35:58in a long time. It's incredibly accurate.
- 36:02Yeah. Relax.
- 36:04Relax, Braves fans. They're hungry.
- 36:06You got it Good. I get it.
- 36:09But you got it good. They're hungry.
- 36:12Do they? Do they do they have it good as
- 36:15as you're making it out to be. I mean, I know I just read all
- 36:17that off. Sure, they've got it good.
- 36:18But is it that good? I.
- 36:23I mean, the Phillies own you in the postseason.
- 36:27Oh boy, here it goes again. You might as well turn into this
- 36:30kid. That's not it.
- 36:32I will it when we're talking playoffs, playoffs, playoffs,
- 36:36playoffs. I mean, we're talking
- 36:39postseason. That's just, that's that's
- 36:40called hard fact, my friend. But we're not here to talk about
- 36:43the postseason, because it's May I.
- 36:44Don't know. I mean, I think that if you were
- 36:46to ask a Braves fan with this core, you would probably expect
- 36:51three rings at some point. I think the Albies Acuna Olsen
- 36:57and even though he's newer to the scene, Olsen and Riley core
- 37:02should give you 3 rings. Michael Harris.
- 37:05Michael Harris, Strider, We go down the list but.
- 37:09What? What's?
- 37:12What's again? What is going on?
- 37:16Did you put a post out or something?
- 37:18Saying like I did no such thing. Indicating this is the second
- 37:21comment thus far asking about. Love it.
- 37:25Keep it rolling. My Phillies fandom being
- 37:28announced tonight. I didn't put out some posts that
- 37:31said that I would that any such thing was happening.
- 37:34Your big Eagles guy too, huh? Fight Eagles fight on the way to
- 37:39victory. Is that how it goes?
- 37:41I don't know. I just know that from
- 37:43Invincible. Great movie, great movie,
- 37:46fantastic movie. Let's talk about football
- 37:49movies. Now what was I getting after?
- 37:53What were we talking about? Braves core?
- 37:57Oh yeah, question. What?
- 37:59What's Sean Murphy's contract look like again?
- 38:02Is he a part of that? I don't think so.
- 38:06I could be wrong, but I don't think so off the top of my head.
- 38:13But also, I'm not surprised if he is, you know, because like
- 38:16everyone is. You look that up and I'm going
- 38:19to transition us seamlessly talking about Sean Murphy, a
- 38:21former club of his. We're going to transition.
- 38:25Talking to some. He is.
- 38:27He is what he's. Did a six year 73.
- 38:29That's what I thought I six was. The number that came to mind was
- 38:33that. I hate them.
- 38:36I hate these deals. Shut up, Braves fans.
- 38:40Just shut up. You.
- 38:42You've got it good. Just let it be.
- 38:49It's hard of hearing. You're complaining.
- 38:52Complain too much. You interrupted my seamless
- 38:55transition into talking about one of Sean Murphy's former
- 38:57clubs, The Oakland A's serious question for you, and this is
- 39:03not a joke. This is not a bit.
- 39:04Also, I like the I like the baseball in the hand.
- 39:06That's a nice touch. I have been looking through we
- 39:10we did a Big Spring cleaning donation situation.
- 39:17Dude, you would not believe the amount of crap I gave away.
- 39:20You would not believe it. I think I counted between
- 39:24shirts, hats, pants, shorts, sweats, sweatshirts.
- 39:34It's like 65 pieces of clothing, like items because we itemize
- 39:38like the donation. I live right.
- 39:41I'm married, a psychopath. So we like we just itemize
- 39:44everything and like write everything down, you know?
- 39:49And yeah, 65 things. My closet is half gone.
- 39:56Got rid of some old jerseys. Those were the Those were the
- 39:59ones that were. They were a little bit tougher
- 40:01to get rid of, to be honest, but anyway, I found a ball when I
- 40:04was. Not like jerseys you wore in
- 40:05like Little League you're talking like.
- 40:07No, I had like, AI had a She really gave me so hard, a hard
- 40:13time about this. But it was a Michael Jordan
- 40:14Wizards jersey. I got it in 6th grade for sure.
- 40:20Like, not something anyone could wear at this point.
- 40:24But still, it's like it's a it's an MJ jersey.
- 40:26But I have a Bulls one. I kept that one.
- 40:28I kept that. One.
- 40:29OK, That's fair. I had a Shaq Heat jersey.
- 40:33Gave that away. No idea why I had that.
- 40:35It's snitched too. It's nice.
- 40:39Clinton Portis, Redskins jersey. OK.
- 40:42That's fire, yeah. Yeah, gave that away.
- 40:46Santana Moss, Redskins jersey. OK, so how did we get to the
- 40:51baseball? It was just.
- 40:52I found it. You just found it.
- 40:54OK? That's what we're getting at.
- 40:57Yeah. That's good to know, though,
- 40:58about the jerseys, because I I've got some jerseys in the
- 41:00closet. Like I got a stitched Ladainian
- 41:03Tomlinson Chargers powder blue jersey.
- 41:05Though that's fire. Why do you have that?
- 41:08That's so random in this he. Was like one of my favorite.
- 41:10Him. I love Lt., Yeah.
- 41:12Him and my him and Peyton were two of my favorite players.
- 41:15Unbelievable. I used to do in the Madden like
- 41:18drafts, like where you set up a franchise and do like the
- 41:23fantasy draft style. Then I would always set my
- 41:27myself to the first pick. 1st pick, yeah.
- 41:29Just you're like 10. Just run the table, yeah?
- 41:32100% Lt. was always on the squad.
- 41:34Yeah, anyway. So yeah, Speaking of Lt. the
- 41:37Oakland A's a serious question. How?
- 41:42How? And I cannot emphasize enough,
- 41:46this is a serious question. How long?
- 41:55How much longer do we think this team is going to be relevant and
- 41:59part of the conversation? What do you consider relevant?
- 42:03For the Oakland A's, if they're even flirting with 500, to me
- 42:09that's relevant, and especially we said it last episode,
- 42:12especially in the American League West right now.
- 42:16Who knew they all W was so soft, by the way.
- 42:19They're in third. Yeah.
- 42:20What? A what a week?
- 42:23What? Just a pit of pillows.
- 42:26Who'd A Who'd A thunk that the Central would be better in the
- 42:30West? Who'd A thunk that?
- 42:37I I feel like we could have gotten there.
- 42:41If we were, I could have there. Yeah, come on.
- 42:44We were talking about it at the at the beginning of the season.
- 42:47We're talking about how well, I was high on the Royals, you
- 42:50guys, you and Ryan were given, given the props to the Royals.
- 42:53And we were like, I mean, I hope this isn't revisionist history,
- 42:57but I think we were like, OK on the Tigers and then the Twins
- 43:01and Guardians, I think. I think we knew I.
- 43:06Didn't, I don't know, be there. I just didn't see that, like
- 43:09Mariners are leading the division at 19 and 15.
- 43:13Not that. That's like.
- 43:14Which goes back to my point about the the Oakland A's.
- 43:17They're 1718 right now. They're game below 500, which
- 43:20for their standards may as well be 20 games over.
- 43:23Because this may be as good as it gets for them, but it begs
- 43:28the question again, how long do we think they're going to hover?
- 43:34Two weeks. OK, well that's no fun.
- 43:37I'm not buying in, are you? I'm going to buy in.
- 43:52For that long soundtrack, by the way, there's the A stadium has
- 43:55never been filled to that. Level.
- 43:57Yeah, there never have been that.
- 44:00Never been enough in the Colosseum.
- 44:02Anyway, keep going. Speaking of which, talking about
- 44:04attendance, A-Team where they talked about the Marlins.
- 44:06I saw a picture from a game I think it was this weekend.
- 44:10It was like 6000 people which I know is like a near sell out for
- 44:14the for the the A's standards but that pulp, I mean we all
- 44:19know what the Colosseum looks like empty but lone Depot empty.
- 44:23That's not much better if we're being honest.
- 44:25But enough about the Marlins. Actually, you know what?
- 44:27Yeah, I I give me. I'm done.
- 44:33I'm done harping on the A's so much.
- 44:35The the Marlins are my new dumpster.
- 44:38Boom again. I was gone this weekend.
- 44:43Was not able to update the soundboard.
- 44:45So again, in lieu of claps. Perfect.
- 44:50Are you having to hit that again over and over?
- 44:54Nope. I Just how much?
- 44:55How much do you think that cricket got paid for that?
- 44:57You know, I I hope we got a good deal out of that.
- 45:01Was there some sort of nil deal? Let's help taken care of there.
- 45:06I sure hope so. Well fed with some gnats.
- 45:08Do they eat gnats? I think.
- 45:10I don't think so, because gnats are like half their body size,
- 45:13so no anyway. Yeah.
- 45:17All right. I'll give him an extra week
- 45:19because of this aforementioned transition of harping.
- 45:24I don't know if that's enough. I don't know if that's enough of
- 45:26a bump for you to say, oh, I'm not going to harp on the A's
- 45:29anymore. I'm going to move, I'm going to
- 45:31move to hate in the Marlins now. So I'm going to give him an
- 45:34extra week Now, if you're going to, if you're going to make
- 45:37that. No, seriously.
- 45:38If you're going to make that broad of a jump, if you're going
- 45:41to make that bold of a statement, you're going to need
- 45:44to commit to more than an extra week for the A's.
- 45:49In fact, I like doing this with you.
- 45:50Give me a date. Give me a date in which you
- 45:53think the A's will fall out of the theoretical conversation,
- 45:59the conversation that we're having right now, the very fact
- 46:01that we're talking about the A's because they're hovering.
- 46:04When do you think that stops? Well, now that I'm pulling up
- 46:07their schedule, it's not today. OK, No, no, no.
- 46:17I'm not going to allow this. Yeah, Nate stops today.
- 46:21Nate, don't make me an Oakland A's fan by the end of this
- 46:23podcast. I'm about to.
- 46:25I'm about. To four-game set?
- 46:26No, They're four-game settings. The Rangers.
- 46:29Three against the Mariners. The Rangers.
- 46:31The Astros. Three against the Royals.
- 46:34Hold on, you're going to. They're going to get.
- 46:38Into it So many different places right now.
- 46:39No. Stop.
- 46:41Read it again. Who read the teams again?
- 46:44Four against the Rangers. American League West, who you
- 46:47said was soft. Yeah, but it's still.
- 46:51American League West Who you said was soft.
- 46:53Who else? The whole thing is the West.
- 46:55That's the whole point of this stretch.
- 46:57Keep going. Three against the Mariners.
- 47:00American League West, who you said was soft.
- 47:02Four against the Astros. American League West, who you
- 47:05said was soft and also by the way, playing like absolute
- 47:09garbage. Three against the Royals.
- 47:13OK, that's. They'll put up a fight against
- 47:15Royals. 7:11, That's fourteen games.
- 47:20Realistically, you're telling me they go seven and seven there?
- 47:25Hey, I mean look at this. We're due for a bet.
- 47:27We're due for our 1st 2024 bet. I love it.
- 47:31I love it. I give.
- 47:32Me an over and under. Let's set the lines.
- 47:34Hold on, hold on, hold on. No, no, no.
- 47:35I love. I love your idea, but let me
- 47:37just go backwards here. Your Yankees.
- 47:41For who All intents and purposes having a having a solid year, as
- 47:45we well know split a four. Gamer with the Yankees two and
- 47:50two. That's a split.
- 47:52If my math does serves me correct.
- 47:56They swept the Orioles or no, they.
- 47:58I'm sorry. They took two of three from the
- 48:01Orioles, which we talked about. They swept the Pirates, which
- 48:07whatever. Yeah.
- 48:09They took they They haven't lost any of the last four of their
- 48:13series. They took two or three from the
- 48:14Marlins, which by the way, didn't even mention the fact
- 48:17they put up a 20 spot on Saturday.
- 48:20And then they give up 12 the next day.
- 48:23Well, I would take the day off mentally two if I put up a 20
- 48:26spot. Sure, sure.
- 48:30I mean, you got to let the Marlins win at least one let's.
- 48:32Set this line. Let's set this line I want to
- 48:35recount. I want to make sure it's 14.
- 48:36Four +3 is 7. Let's do.
- 48:39This. Hold on.
- 48:40No, no, no. You said four.
- 48:41It's 33 against the Rangers. No four against the Rangers,
- 48:451234. Three, right.
- 48:47No, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 48:49I see tomorrow 940. Yep.
- 48:51Then set 7. 4/7. Four against the Astros, That's
- 48:5611. Three against the Royals.
- 48:59It's 14. 14. All the fingers What's the line
- 49:05at? Are you gonna say, let's put the
- 49:07line at Are you gonna ride? This I'm not a I'm not a betting
- 49:11man in that regard. They're gonna throw these.
- 49:14Don't throw these turns at me. You're riding this whole, you
- 49:17know, 500 baseball club thing. So if you set the line at 6 1/2,
- 49:23you take the over. That's seven wins.
- 49:26I'm gonna take the under. That's fine.
- 49:30I'll take 500. They go 500 or better.
- 49:33All right. Is that what we're saying?
- 49:34Chat. Let us know what we're going to
- 49:35bet here, Because I'd like to do something with fantasy, like
- 49:42some kind of super uneven trade, you know?
- 49:44Yeah, that's. Fantastic.
- 49:47Yeah yeah like a like a just a joker card trade that we.
- 49:53Get I mean that's that I look I'm I'm all about going in on a
- 49:57trade but is that are are we willing to commit to those
- 50:01stakes this early in the. Season.
- 50:02It's a big one. I don't know.
- 50:04You're the one. That's all.
- 50:05You know, using the Boo sound board against me for calling the
- 50:09A's what they are. Yeah.
- 50:16All right, that's that's a decent, that's a decent, that's
- 50:22a that's a decent, that's the leader in the clubhouse right
- 50:27now. So 500.
- 50:29The A's go 500 better over the next 14 games, which honestly a
- 50:35week from today or however, however long it takes them to
- 50:38play the next seven games, we'll know at that point because
- 50:40they're going to run the table. These first seven games, they're
- 50:44going 7, they're going seven. And no, I'm not saying that, but
- 50:47yeah, they're going 500 better. The next one that, come on,
- 50:50that's the easiest. Over I have never, ever, ever in
- 50:55my life watch consecutive A's baseball games if they weren't
- 50:59playing the Yankees. So this is opening a whole new
- 51:03world for me. I love this.
- 51:05I'm. I'm going to be so locked at
- 51:08hold on, hold on. Oh boy.
- 51:13In the chat, please let us know what you think of Fair bet is I
- 51:17would love some kind of fantasy thing.
- 51:19Some type of fantasy implications.
- 51:21Where did this? The Bills?
- 51:22All warped. Where'd you get that thing?
- 51:24Shut up. I'm the biggest A's honk ever.
- 51:31Had that ever known to man. I've had this hat for years.
- 51:34I've I. For the longest time, I thought
- 51:36this was the cleanest hat in baseball.
- 51:38And I honest, I still kind of might stand by that.
- 51:41Looks good. I mean, that's a clean lid.
- 51:44But I tell you what, man, I'm going to become the biggest ace.
- 51:47Honk. How do we feel?
- 51:49OK, maybe like a, like a, like some type of public punishment.
- 51:57I don't know. Something you remember when what
- 52:00was it? A couple years ago.
- 52:01Murray bought you. What did he buy you?
- 52:04It was like a Mets beanie. The Mets shirt.
- 52:06Who says we got to believe I had to wear it on an episode?
- 52:10I think we circle back to that we should buy something off of
- 52:14this Garbage fanatics website and loser has to wear it for
- 52:18like consecutive episodes. I'm, I'm.
- 52:22We could go as far as you want with this.
- 52:24Honestly I'm pretty confident on this bet.
- 52:28I said like an entire month of episodes.
- 52:30You got to wear something that's stupid.
- 52:35That's a fair punishment. I don't.
- 52:36I don't hate that one. Well, the reality is we have to
- 52:38deter. We have to figure this out
- 52:40before tomorrow. We can't, like, come back to
- 52:42this because the game's true. The stretch starts Monday, So we
- 52:46need to figure this out by episode's end.
- 52:49What do we have to wear? Well, I mean, if I lose the bet
- 52:56and I become the biggest A's honk over the next 14 games, I
- 52:59don't know if the punishment of me wearing.
- 53:02Not A's, not a stuff, but it's got to be something like we
- 53:04don't want to wear. Oh, just on the pod.
- 53:07Don't. You got to something to wear.
- 53:09On the pod? Yeah, OK, do.
- 53:14You ever watch How I Met Your Mother?
- 53:17Yes, There was a straight. Oh, it was the rubber ducky tie
- 53:24that Barney had to wear for like a year straight.
- 53:27Yeah, and he had to try to. Didn't he have to try to pick
- 53:30women up with the at the bar with that on?
- 53:32Yeah, yeah, we can come up with something.
- 53:35We'll come up with something. But again, we got to do it
- 53:38before episodes end. We'll figure it out.
- 53:39Also one of the things. That or by the start of the game
- 53:42or by the start of the game tomorrow.
- 53:44One of the things that didn't get donated with all my stuff, a
- 53:48Stormtrooper tie that stayed. Clean.
- 53:52Yeah. So I got a lot of caught, a lot
- 53:54of heat for that one. But I was like, no, it's going
- 53:56to have to stay here. Salvation Army, it just doesn't
- 54:00know what to do with that. I I don't think they would have.
- 54:02It would have sat on the shelf for too long, you know?
- 54:07I I agree. Ace Honk.
- 54:12Nice. Maybe we have to.
- 54:14You have to get your first tattoo.
- 54:16That's. I mean, I'm getting a tattoo
- 54:18over the Oakland A's. I'm sorry, that's not.
- 54:22Happening. Not that confident, huh?
- 54:25It's fair to see. Whatever.
- 54:27No, I'm just. I'm just what do we got next?
- 54:28I'm not an idiot. Speak.
- 54:32Speaking of garbage, Alec Manoa, In his first start since August
- 54:36of last year, 4 innings pitched, 7 runs, six earned, six hits,
- 54:424K, six walks. Against who?
- 54:48No. Did I read that backwards?
- 54:50Six hits, four walks, 6K's. Against two changing hats again,
- 55:08you got a lot of got a lot of hats over here.
- 55:11You got a lot of sub 500 team hats on deck, just ready to
- 55:15pull. Yeah, what is that about, man?
- 55:17What is that about? The Washington Nationals?
- 55:25Hey, whoa, whoa, pump the brakes.
- 55:27I didn't think so. Put some respect on the
- 55:29Washington Nationals. They're 17 and 17.
- 55:33Hello. Put some respect on them.
- 55:39We talked about it earlier. If you haven't seen the the
- 55:45Jesse Winker home runs and then like the trot situation, you're
- 55:52just not it. You're not that man, Jesse
- 55:56winks. You're not that guy.
- 55:59How did you feel about that? I think it was the debut of the
- 56:01pullover, like the pullover jersey, right?
- 56:04Yeah. And if you recall, I didn't have
- 56:06the, I mean they weren't like disparaging comments if actually
- 56:11no, I yeah, I said they were going to be retired by the end
- 56:13of the season. So yeah, pretty, pretty
- 56:15disparaging comments. Gave me, gave me high school
- 56:18summer ball vibes. Yeah.
- 56:25Basically what I was getting at is that I think that my thoughts
- 56:29on them now versus when they first came out, little
- 56:32different. I think they look a little
- 56:33better in person. I mean, if we're being honest,
- 56:37the red, white and blue is just it's the simplest.
- 56:39It's hard. To mess up.
- 56:41It's really hard to mess up. It's hard to not come out of a
- 56:45situation where you're creating a new red, white and blue jersey
- 56:49and come out with AW, like it's hard to to not do that.
- 56:52No pun intended. Yeah, the No pun intended.
- 56:56The Alec Manoa starts good claps, good claps.
- 56:59I don't think we should put claps in.
- 57:00I think we should. You're right.
- 57:01I think. I think this is the move moving
- 57:03forward. Yeah, good claps there.
- 57:07Look, I don't know. When is the experiment over,
- 57:09like, just toast, dude, He's it's done.
- 57:13It's done. And this go, this goes against,
- 57:17this is, this is not falling into line with what you and I
- 57:19were talking about the beginning about like guys needing a A2
- 57:23month sample size before you kind of really know.
- 57:26We know now we know because he's across the minors, across Major
- 57:31League, the entire reason he was sent down in the 1st place going
- 57:34back to last year. We just, we know what this guy
- 57:37is now and it's it's unfortunate.
- 57:40Like I I hate seeing like even if it's a guy that I don't
- 57:44particularly like, which Alec Noah don't necessarily like.
- 57:48You just hate to see a guy's career come crashing down like
- 57:52this. I mean I know there's certain
- 57:53people that are are pulling for his downfall.
- 57:56I'm not. I'm not going to actively pull
- 57:58for his downfall. You're going to actively pull
- 58:00for his downfall, I get it. And the only reason I say.
- 58:05It's the arrogance for me, that's no.
- 58:07No, no, no, no. Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 58:08But I'm just saying, like, even at the level of baseball we
- 58:11played like when when you suck, when you struggle like that is
- 58:16the lowest place to be it. Just like you could say that
- 58:20across, like all athletics. Like it's that just sucks
- 58:24because you dedicate your life to it and then you come out and
- 58:27you just cannot make it work and that's what's happening.
- 58:30Like they sent him down to try and work on some things.
- 58:32It does not appear as though anything has been fixed.
- 58:35I mean, he apparently outdueled Paul Skeens, so take that as you
- 58:39will, but generally speaking it seems as though we know where
- 58:44this guy is AT. And you know to your point, for
- 58:48me, the the the taste that's going to be left in our mouths
- 58:51is the arrogance like it. The guy just, he ran his mouth
- 58:54too much for too long. And you you can only really get
- 58:59away with that if you can back it up and he can't.
- 59:03It's not like he was just sent down to AAA the whole time.
- 59:06He got torched at every level, like he went to rookie balls
- 59:11level and like still got beat up.
- 59:14Like I It's done. It's all done.
- 59:17Don't tell me you have a Blue Jays hat to throw on just
- 59:22rotating. No, no, we're going.
- 59:25We're going back to the original.
- 59:26All right, by the way, that not a cleaner hat out there to be
- 59:33honest. And I'm like, I'm AU of a guy,
- 59:36but that ASU hat is pretty unbeatable.
- 59:40Yeah, this was. For those who don't know, this
- 59:42was a a purchase from our World Baseball Classic.
- 59:47Trip caught a game at the ASU that was That was good time.
- 59:51Snag this hat, because why wouldn't you?
- 59:54It's true. And if you don't know what we're
- 59:57talking about, you're going to need to go to the YouTube and
- 1:00:01while you're there, as they say, smash the subscribe button.
- 1:00:06We're well on our way. We we're trying to reach our
- 1:00:09goal of 2000. But anyway, yeah, Alec Noah
- 1:00:14torched. At every level.
- 1:00:15Guy stinks. That's about all we got there.
- 1:00:19Trey Turner will miss not much to really talk about here, but
- 1:00:23will miss at least six weeks with a left hamstring strain
- 1:00:28after being injured in the Phillies game against the Giants
- 1:00:33on Friday. It's big blow.
- 1:00:37Big blow. You hate to see it.
- 1:00:39Yeah, I I don't. It's Sosa.
- 1:00:43Isn't that like bad of a fall off.
- 1:00:46Like don't get me wrong he's not Trey Turner.
- 1:00:47But it's not like a horrible fall off Sosa gives me, which I
- 1:00:54there's no reason why you or any other fan base that isn't a
- 1:00:58Yankees fan would understand the comp.
- 1:01:01He gives me Eduardo Nunez Vibes. Sosa does like this.
- 1:01:06Like, I'm going to give you average stuff and it's slightly
- 1:01:10above average defense and like that's what you're going to get
- 1:01:13from me and you're going to be OK.
- 1:01:17Castellanos needs to figure out what is going on.
- 1:01:23Bryce took Logan Webb deep tonight.
- 1:01:26That absurd Brandon Marsh is hitting.
- 1:01:29I mean like there's there's guys are going to like pick up the
- 1:01:31slack. But yeah, Trey Turner is a is a
- 1:01:36blow for sure. Six weeks.
- 1:01:44That's tough. Hammies, man.
- 1:01:46They'll get you, yeah. When was last time you stretched
- 1:01:49your hammies? I was going to ask you, did you
- 1:01:52ever pull your hammy? I've never pulled my hammy.
- 1:01:54I did pull my hip flexor and that was miserable.
- 1:01:59Yeah, hip flexor is no fun. Man, that was.
- 1:02:01A lot of these things you don't realize how often or how.
- 1:02:05Like, yeah, aggressively. You use these things on a
- 1:02:08day-to-day basis until something happens and you're like, whoa.
- 1:02:12Yeah, my hamstrings are I I think that Trey Turner with a
- 1:02:17bad hamstring is still probably better hamstrings.
- 1:02:21Yes. Yeah, he's got more things going
- 1:02:24on than I do with my hamstrings at the moment.
- 1:02:27Yeah, that ham a a strained hamstring for Trey Turner is
- 1:02:35undoubtedly. Better than my current scenario.
- 1:02:39That ranks higher on the list of all time hamstrings.
- 1:02:44Than yours? Yep, at my peak.
- 1:02:47Fully healthy. Yes, at my peak.
- 1:02:49Yes, OK. Just want to make sure we're on
- 1:02:51the same page here. Yep, we're long past peak.
- 1:02:53We're long past prime mine. Included to answer your
- 1:02:57question, last time I stretched my hamstring stretched in
- 1:03:01general. Not like top shelf.
- 1:03:05I got to reach this this like extra box of Mac and cheese.
- 1:03:10That's a stretch in and of itself, but that's a stretch I'm
- 1:03:13willing to make. But in terms of just like
- 1:03:17physical workout kind of stretch, you know, warming up
- 1:03:21for the gym. Just a couple of those, the old,
- 1:03:25the old that one of those, the. Classic the classic arm across
- 1:03:28the chest. It really didn't do anything,
- 1:03:30but we did it anyway. The hamstrings, dude, I don't
- 1:03:36know. I mean, I haven't done legs and
- 1:03:38who knows how long, so that's that's a an issue in and of
- 1:03:42itself. But the upper body, yeah, I
- 1:03:44just, I crank out a few, I crank out a few push ups and I'm like,
- 1:03:47all right, let's go, let's go put up what we can.
- 1:03:49Loser of the A's bet has to has to stretch I think.
- 1:03:53I think that's that's. Probably.
- 1:03:55Well, it seems like a it seems like a win for whoever, I don't
- 1:03:58think, I think. The first couple, The first
- 1:04:00couple, yeah, it's probably not a win.
- 1:04:03But long term though, that's that's that's adding years to
- 1:04:07your life if we're being honest. Yeah, last thing really wanted
- 1:04:11to cover here was the topic of closer entrances you I
- 1:04:18mentioned. I thought it was.
- 1:04:22I thought it was Johann Duran. I think a lot of people did.
- 1:04:26I think we've all been saying, yo.
- 1:04:27We've been duped. We've been speckled, Dorf.
- 1:04:32Spell that real quick. So it's actually Johann Duran,
- 1:04:42you. Weren't going to spell speckled
- 1:04:44dorfs. OK, I was trying to skate past
- 1:04:46it. Speckledorf.
- 1:04:48SPEKLEDOR. Is it APH or is it an F?
- 1:04:57No, it's definitely an F, But is it 2FS Speckledorf FED?
- 1:05:03It's 1F. Did we forget AC in Speckled?
- 1:05:06That's a big question. Did I not say?
- 1:05:07That you've skipped over C? That's.
- 1:05:10Oh, it's there's definitely AC. What is it?
- 1:05:12A. What's the sound when you get it
- 1:05:15wrong in spelling bee. Johann Duran.
- 1:05:20I I hate that. But the.
- 1:05:22The I mean it's the guy's name. I know, I know.
- 1:05:26I just it. I think we should change it, I
- 1:05:27think. It's not like his nickname, it's
- 1:05:29his God-given name. You know, I hate it.
- 1:05:31I think we should talk to him. I think we should talk to him
- 1:05:34about it. The Twins broadcaster and like
- 1:05:36the the PA announcer in the stadium both, said Johann.
- 1:05:41Yeah, we thought the the broadcast team was was sipping
- 1:05:46some juice behind the the mic because we're like we looked at
- 1:05:50each other like. Yeah, some Minnesota cider, the
- 1:05:53broadcast team, and then one Twins fan in the chat to let us
- 1:05:58know if we're crazy for just now realizing this.
- 1:06:03Johann Durant? Apparently it is, but close your
- 1:06:07entrances back to the original point of conversation here is,
- 1:06:12is this entrance better than Edwin Diaz's?
- 1:06:15Because I think the belief. The belief before.
- 1:06:18Actually, no, I don't even want to say belief.
- 1:06:20I think the speculation because there's a lot of Orioles fans
- 1:06:24that would tell you Felix Batista's entrance was better
- 1:06:27than Edwin Diaz's. But you take the Orioles fans
- 1:06:31out of it. I would venture to say the
- 1:06:33majority of people have Edwin Diaz's entrance as the best in
- 1:06:36baseball. And I'd I'd probably agree.
- 1:06:39Like I know it gave him grief about it last year or when it
- 1:06:43when it first when it first arrived, because it was all they
- 1:06:46talked about. Yeah.
- 1:06:49All they talked about Timmy trumpets everywhere, trumpets
- 1:06:54everywhere. Mr. and Missus met with trumpets
- 1:06:56everywhere. I never need to hear another
- 1:06:58trumpet. Trumpets in the crowd
- 1:07:02everywhere. Now we've got Duran's and I, I,
- 1:07:09I, I tweeted it. I said this is better than Edwin
- 1:07:13D's entrance and I stand by. There I do.
- 1:07:15I do agree. If you if you watch the clip
- 1:07:18when the flames come on and the beat drops fire.
- 1:07:22Literally. Yeah, big time.
- 1:07:24Big time. Is that Pitbull?
- 1:07:26Who is that? Do we know?
- 1:07:28Couldn't tell you It's definitely not Pitbull.
- 1:07:30It's not Mr. It's not Mr. Worldwide, not Mr., Three O 5,
- 1:07:33not Mr., not Dolly. Yeah.
- 1:07:37Mr. Where Where? I That was pretty good.
- 1:07:40I. Mr. Three O 5 Darling.
- 1:07:46I know you want me. Dude, you know the guys.
- 1:07:50Isn't he from like New Jersey? The guy is literally from new.
- 1:07:56I'm like 99% sure he's from the Mid-Atlantic.
- 1:08:01Nope, he's definitely from Miami.
- 1:08:05No, it's kind of hard. To stand by, stand by, stand by.
- 1:08:08No, no, no, no, no. Stand by.
- 1:08:09What's? His real name?
- 1:08:12Armando. Christian Perez, Stand by.
- 1:08:16Hold on. I'm not crazy.
- 1:08:17I promise you. I promise you.
- 1:08:19Let's let's go down to his his, his early life here, man.
- 1:08:27It's got a lot of history on. He's got a lot of hits too.
- 1:08:30I don't think you realize it. A lot of bangers.
- 1:08:36You're telling me that rap part wasn't Pitbull?
- 1:08:40I don't think so. Gave me Pitbull.
- 1:08:43Oh, here we go. Early Life and Background was
- 1:08:47born in January 15th, 1981 in Miami to Cuban immigrant
- 1:08:51parents. He learned English by watching
- 1:08:56Sesame Street as a child. Sure, so did I.
- 1:09:00Telling you he briefly stayed with a foster family in
- 1:09:03Rossville, GA, attended South Miami Senior High School.
- 1:09:10Nope. I'm like, where?
- 1:09:15Hold on, You go on with whatever you're going to say.
- 1:09:21Johann Duran I Number one. I'm a fan.
- 1:09:26When the lights go out, I'm a fan.
- 1:09:30With the flashlights, I think there's got to be a certain
- 1:09:34point where you don't need to call it out, you know what I
- 1:09:36mean? Like grab your phones like that
- 1:09:39needs to go away. I think it just needs to be
- 1:09:41known. I think it will.
- 1:09:43It needs to be a big enough entrance for you to know that to
- 1:09:46do that. But overall, I give it like a
- 1:09:49strong, I give it like an 8.8 intro, you know?
- 1:09:55The tough thing is you see where where closers.
- 1:09:59I mean, am I just being? Am I just being a Homer by
- 1:10:04saying MO is like still? Yeah, that's You're never going
- 1:10:08to top mouse. And it's like the coldest
- 1:10:10because it's like. Miami.
- 1:10:12No lights, no like. And that, like that wasn't a.
- 1:10:16Thing it's just MO coming out like and no like walking no
- 1:10:20like, it's just MO. I think that's the coldest, but
- 1:10:26I think the Braves do something with the lights, too, during
- 1:10:31pitching changes. I think they all.
- 1:10:33Yeah, they do the they do the chop.
- 1:10:35They do the chop with their phones.
- 1:10:37Yeah, which is electric. Is that was that?
- 1:10:40Their workaround was that. The workaround say that no.
- 1:10:44I think that was the workaround to like cancel culture.
- 1:10:46They were like, well, we could do the chop, just turn the
- 1:10:49lights off and no one is really going to be able to catch us
- 1:10:54you. Know.
- 1:10:54Well, doing the chop isn't exactly a workaround when it's
- 1:10:58quite literally what people were trying to cancel them for.
- 1:11:01But I see your point. Like doing in the dark under the
- 1:11:04cover of darkness, yeah. Yeah, so also like Minnesota,
- 1:11:08I'm going to need you to fill the seats a little bit more if
- 1:11:11that's going to be your play. You know what I mean?
- 1:11:13Like you got to be. You're exposing yourself if
- 1:11:16you're not a sell out crowd, that's all.
- 1:11:22Mr. Where Where? Are you still still deep diving?
- 1:11:26Dude, I'm going to find some website that says that Pitbull
- 1:11:30lived in New Jersey. Oh, you will.
- 1:11:35A new study finds that New Jersey residents trust owners of
- 1:11:38pitbulls, the least of all dog breed owners.
- 1:11:41There's a typical. Is that relevant?
- 1:11:44Is that relevant? Google says it is.
- 1:11:52I swear to you dude, I watched a special on him one time.
- 1:11:58Very interesting. Guy's got a heck of a story.
- 1:12:03I'm telling you. He lived in somewhere in the
- 1:12:05Mid-Atlantic. This is where we're at three O 5
- 1:12:11man. We have covered a lot today.
- 1:12:16Yeah, which leads us to our our closing closing point.
- 1:12:21Do you have a three O green light for us today?
- 1:12:22I did the jungle lead thing, so now like, let me manufacture
- 1:12:26something off the top of my head, 'cause I you don't need
- 1:12:28to. We OK, we need to make that a
- 1:12:30point. We don't.
- 1:12:31We we should only bring something to the table if
- 1:12:34there's something to share. Like we don't need to
- 1:12:36manufacture green light. Like if we've got a rant brewing
- 1:12:39or if we've got something that we really need to address, then
- 1:12:42we share it. But we don't need to feel
- 1:12:43obligated to bring that to the table.
- 1:12:46So if you don't have anything, if you're not feeling
- 1:12:47particularly spicy right now, or.
- 1:12:50Then I'm taking it. I'm just going to take it.
- 1:12:51Yeah, I'm just going. To take this one, nothing's
- 1:12:53pressing on your heart at this point in time.
- 1:12:56Green light, I decided that's OK.
- 1:12:59I don't want this one. The green light, yeah, you have
- 1:13:03the ability to to let the ball go by you.
- 1:13:06I don't need to. The green light is.
- 1:13:09Just you have one. The opportunity to be taken I
- 1:13:13have a green light. Can we talk about these oven
- 1:13:17mitts? There it is.
- 1:13:20I like this one. So I've I've been done on these
- 1:13:27oven mitts for some time, but after seeing seeing Harrison
- 1:13:30Bader's monstrosity, dude, what are we doing?
- 1:13:35It's a big one. I mean, that thing was no less
- 1:13:43than 16 inches. That's what she said.
- 1:13:48The the also good claps, good claps.
- 1:13:54Paige and I were at lunch the other day that like a little
- 1:13:58like sports bar thing across the street and like this travel team
- 1:14:04came in. They're probably like 13-14
- 1:14:05years old and one of the kids had the oven mitts still in the
- 1:14:09back pocket and I'm like bro with heavy, heavy, heavy, high
- 1:14:14black, heavy eye black in the mullet.
- 1:14:18I was like, man, this. Anyway, it's the oven Mitt.
- 1:14:24The oven mitts are getting out of control and.
- 1:14:26Bigger than any oven Mitt I have in the kitchen, by the way, for
- 1:14:29my frozen pizzas. Well, there you go if you try.
- 1:14:34If you tried to put your oven Mitt that's in the kitchen on
- 1:14:38and swipe a bag, the odds of you getting to said bag are probably
- 1:14:44going to be a lot lower for obvious reasons.
- 1:14:48Are going to be a lot lower than a guy like Harrison Bader, who's
- 1:14:51using a glove that's no less than 71 inches.
- 1:14:59I'd like to know how many IL stints we've seen because of
- 1:15:03like a broken finger or like a dislocated finger or something.
- 1:15:06I don't think it's as common as the oven Mitt is.
- 1:15:12I think we're on to something here, I think.
- 1:15:14I think this was just a ruse. Like if we think like the elbow
- 1:15:18guard sure happens. Shin guard a bit.
- 1:15:21Shin guard? Sure happens quite a bit.
- 1:15:24Cup happens. We don't want to talk about that
- 1:15:28though. We're just going to breeze past
- 1:15:30that one. The helmet, by the way.
- 1:15:33Did you see that? Who was that on?
- 1:15:36The Mets? Slid into second, Took the
- 1:15:39helmet off, Kept the helmet on the bag.
- 1:15:42What are we? Doing it was Pete Kroll
- 1:15:44Armstrong, by the way. It was the Mets game.
- 1:15:47Odd. Oh, it was a cubby.
- 1:15:48Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 1:15:50Odd. Not legal.
- 1:15:54Shouldn't be legal. If it is, no.
- 1:15:57Using a a piece of equipment improperly.
- 1:16:00And that's the whole argument behind the Mitt.
- 1:16:02Is that like it's just like this length that you're adding to
- 1:16:06your Edward Scissorhand fingers? Now that could be something I'd
- 1:16:12get on board with some Edward Scissorhands instead of the MIT.
- 1:16:16No, but this goes back to the whole conversation we had.
- 1:16:21I mean honestly at this point, it's been years since we had
- 1:16:23this conversation. But I remember talking about, I
- 1:16:26don't remember what started it or what we were referencing or
- 1:16:29talking about at that point in time.
- 1:16:30But it was a it was a heated topic of discussion but it was
- 1:16:33talked about home run trots and I said if if we let this go
- 1:16:39unchecked because this was, this was like in the heat in the
- 1:16:43heart of the let the kids play movement back when they were
- 1:16:47like plastering on T-shirts and it was on every MLBTV commercial
- 1:16:51Let the kids play. Just jamming it down.
- 1:16:53Our Dolly Three O 5 Miss worldwide.
- 1:16:56It was all that, it was all that.
- 1:17:01I said, if we let this go unchecked, you're going to see
- 1:17:07guys running the bases. They're going to be stripping
- 1:17:12their clothes off, They're going to be taking dumps on each base.
- 1:17:16They're going to be, well, they're going to do a euro, step
- 1:17:18to the base, take a dump on the bag, go to 2nd, do the same,
- 1:17:24third the same 4th. Who knows, they might shoot
- 1:17:27somebody in the crowds crossing home plate.
- 1:17:29I don't know. We're going to start seeing it
- 1:17:32because if it goes unchecked, who's to, who's to stop anybody,
- 1:17:36any one of these guys from doing any of those things?
- 1:17:39Well, maybe like the police for from.
- 1:17:42Shooting. I need you to reel this in.
- 1:17:43Yeah, I need you to tone it. Tone it down here.
- 1:17:45What are we? What are we on here?
- 1:17:48Reeler back. That that point apart, hey,
- 1:17:51there's no need to reel anything back.
- 1:17:53I'm this this circle? Is this point is coherent the
- 1:17:57same thing? What is it?
- 1:17:59Oh, is there a caboose to this train of thought?
- 1:18:02One of the best things you could say.
- 1:18:06The point is that going unchecked, we're not going to,
- 1:18:14we're not going to see an end, We're not going to see an end to
- 1:18:17this oven Mitt thing you're going to start seeing.
- 1:18:19It's going to be ever so slight, ever so subtle.
- 1:18:22Half an inch. Half an inch and then next thing
- 1:18:27you know these guys are going to take their drop step to steal a
- 1:18:29bag. They're going to stick their
- 1:18:30hand out and they stole the bag. Swipe I'm.
- 1:18:35Back. There.
- 1:18:39And you laugh and people laugh. They think I'm being ridiculous.
- 1:18:43Unless Major League Baseball comes out and implements
- 1:18:47legislation against it, who's to say?
- 1:18:52There's no rule to my knowledge, that says there has to be a
- 1:18:56limit on the oven Mitt length. So what's stopping somebody from
- 1:18:59snagging? And we've we see these plays all
- 1:19:01the time. Bang, bang.
- 1:19:03An inch makes a huge difference. Don't say anything to that.
- 1:19:07No, no, no. An inch makes a huge difference.
- 1:19:12Size matters here. We are all over the place in
- 1:19:17this episode. I'm here for it.
- 1:19:19I'm talking about the oven Mitt. I haven't even had a sip of
- 1:19:22anything yet today, nor have I go to mile.
- 1:19:29That's all I wanted to say. Left unchecked, left unchecked,
- 1:19:37this this could turn into a a real story I.
- 1:19:45Think we're out of stuff now? I think that's it.
- 1:19:48Yeah. Change your name.
- 1:19:51That's all I wanted to say. Do you got anything else for the
- 1:19:54people? This is absurd.
- 1:19:56No happy single file, yeah. This is a fun one.
- 1:20:00Oh oh oh oh the bet. What is our final?
- 1:20:02What are our final wagers? What's our final wager for the
- 1:20:05bet as have to go over their next 14 games, They have to go
- 1:20:10500 or better for me to win the bet.
- 1:20:12And if they go, if they're under 500 ball for the next 14 games,
- 1:20:16you win the bet. What's the wager?
- 1:20:21Keep in mind we could decide before first pitch on Monday and
- 1:20:25I could like tweet it out and post it for those so it's on
- 1:20:29record at least, and then we can reference it next episode.
- 1:20:32Yeah. Unless you think.
- 1:20:35Unless you got something right now that you can think of.
- 1:20:41Shave your legs. Absolutely not.
- 1:20:46Once you start, Once you start shaving something, it comes back
- 1:20:50thicker, coarser. The biggest myth?
- 1:20:52That's the most middle school myth.
- 1:20:54It's absolutely not. No way.
- 1:20:57I shave my head all the time and it's still not coming back.
- 1:21:01I think everywhere except the head, I think everywhere except
- 1:21:04the head. And on that note, we're going
- 1:21:06to, we're going to moratorium on.
- 1:21:08That we could we could we could swim into some dangerous waters.
- 1:21:13There any who's. I don't know, man.
- 1:21:17Wager for the bet like I don't know what do you.
- 1:21:26I think it's has to. I think we have to wear
- 1:21:28something, I think. That's fine.
- 1:21:29Yeah, that's fair. That's fair.
- 1:21:31Something that has to be worn. Oh.
- 1:21:33Hold on, I got an idea. Stand by.
- 1:21:35I was. Going to say like, I think our
- 1:21:38wives would get mad but like wear something of theirs.
- 1:21:46I mean, I I no, I think we make it.
- 1:21:50I I feel like we got to make it Oakland age-related.
- 1:22:00I I think we make it something Oakland age-related and we make
- 1:22:04it have to be something that has to be worn on the podcast.
- 1:22:11How? Are they selling?
- 1:22:12Are they selling any Sacramento as stuff yet?
- 1:22:15When I. When I said stand by I I
- 1:22:18immediately did a Google search of the Oakland A's mascot to see
- 1:22:23if they had like an elephant head that we could wear on the
- 1:22:27mascot, because that would be that.
- 1:22:29Would be tough. We'll we'll think on it.
- 1:22:36We can, we can we? Have until what time is that
- 1:22:38game? I think it's at 9:40 tomorrow
- 1:22:41Eastern. Yeah, tomorrow, Tomorrow at
- 1:22:489:40, Monday at 9:40 PM Eastern. We got all day.
- 1:22:51So I'll I'll put out a tweet with the wager and that way
- 1:22:55it'll be on the record and we can revisit it next episode.
- 1:22:58All right, all right. Maybe we poll it too.
- 1:23:01Maybe we get a couple ideas and and we got to throw a poll.
- 1:23:04On there. That's fair.
- 1:23:06I like it. That's all I got.
- 1:23:08Unless you got anything else. We're out of here.
- 1:23:11We'll go chasing curveballs, folks.
- 1:23:13We'll have you on as always. Looking forward to talking more
- 1:23:15baseball with you guys soon. Until next time, stay filthy.
